- 0:01Speaker 1: There are a lot of people that have said, how
- 0:03Speaker 1: did Donald Trump get the idea to do what he's
- 0:07Speaker 1: doing with tariffs and the American First policy? There are
- 0:11Speaker 1: many that are acting like this as a chaotic plan,
- 0:14Speaker 1: a dysfunctional plan, a plan that is radical or extreme
- 0:19Speaker 1: that should never have happened, and it happened on a
- 0:22Speaker 1: whim from Donald Trump. There isn't a bigger lie than
- 0:26Speaker 1: that coming out of the conversation with tariffs. How do
- 0:30Speaker 1: we know that this is a belief that Donald Trump
- 0:32Speaker 1: has had for quite some time. Well, you can look
- 0:35Speaker 1: back to nineteen eighty eight and President Donald Trump was
- 0:39Speaker 1: on the Oprah Winfrey Show talking about countries ripping America
- 0:45Speaker 1: off in the trade war. She also asked him about
- 0:50Speaker 1: running for office, and he said something else that was
- 0:54Speaker 1: obviously very clear. He said he didn't think he was
- 0:57Speaker 1: going to run for office, and US things got really,
- 1:01Speaker 1: really really bad. Those two things came to fruition. And
- 1:07Speaker 1: this is all the way back in nineteen eighty eight.
- 1:11Speaker 1: So if you think Donald Trump is messing around, he's not.
- 1:15Speaker 1: He's believed it and been planning it for more than
- 1:18Speaker 1: thirty years.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Last year, criticizing US foreign policy, what would you do differently. Donald,
- 1:23Speaker 2: I'd make our allies forgetting about the enemies, the enemies
- 1:26Speaker 2: you can't talk to so easily. I'd make our allies
- 1:28Speaker 2: pay their fair share. We're a debtor nation. Something's going
- 1:31Speaker 2: to happen over the next number of years with this
- 1:33Speaker 2: country because you can't keep going on losing two hundred billion.
- 1:36Speaker 2: And yet we let Japan come in and dump everything
- 1:38Speaker 2: right into our markets and everything. It's not free trade.
- 1:41Speaker 2: If you ever go to Japan right now and try
- 1:43Speaker 2: to sell something, forget about it. Open, just forget about it.
- 1:45Speaker 2: It's almost impossible. They don't have laws against it. They
- 1:48Speaker 2: just make it impossible. They come over here, they sell
- 1:50Speaker 2: their cars, their VCRs. They knock the hell out of
- 1:53Speaker 2: our companies. And hey, I have tremendous respect for the
- 1:55Speaker 2: Japanese people. I mean, you can respect somebody that's beating
- 1:58Speaker 2: the hell out of you, But they are beating the
- 2:00Speaker 2: hell out of this country Kuwait. They live like kings.
- 2:02Speaker 2: The poorest person in Kuwait they live like kings. And
- 2:05Speaker 2: yet they're not paying. We make it possible for them
- 2:07Speaker 2: to sell their oil. Why aren't they paying us twenty
- 2:10Speaker 2: five percent of what they're making.
- 2:11Speaker 3: It's a joke this. This sounds like political presidential talk
- 2:15Speaker 3: to me.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And I know people have talked to you about whether
- 2:17Speaker 2: or not you want to run.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Would you d Would you ever? Probably not?
- 2:20Speaker 2: But I do get tired of seeing the country rip.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Why would you not?
- 2:24Speaker 2: I just don't think I really have the inclination to
- 2:27Speaker 2: do it. I love what I'm doing.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I really like it. Also doesn't pay as well, No, don't.
- 2:32Speaker 2: But you know, I just probably wouldn't do it over
- 2:35Speaker 2: I probably wouldn't, But I do get tired of seeing
- 2:37Speaker 2: what's happening with this country, and if it got so bad,
- 2:39Speaker 2: I would never want to rule it out totally because
- 2:41Speaker 2: I really am tired of seeing what's happening with this country,
- 2:44Speaker 2: how we're how we're really making other people live like
- 2:47Speaker 2: kings and we're not.
- 2:48Speaker 3: What do you think of this year's presidential race the
- 2:50Speaker 3: way it's shaping up, Well, it's going to be very interesting.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I think I think that probably George Bush has an
- 2:56Speaker 2: advantage in terms of the election. I think that probably
- 2:59Speaker 2: people would say that he's got like that little edge
- 3:01Speaker 2: in terms of the incumbency, et cetera, et cetera. But
- 3:03Speaker 2: I think Jesse Jackson's done himself very proud. I think
- 3:06Speaker 2: Michael Dukakis has done one hell of a job, and
- 3:09Speaker 2: George Bush has done a hell of a job. You know,
- 3:11Speaker 2: they all went in there sort of a semi underdogs,
- 3:13Speaker 2: including George Bush, and.
- 3:14Speaker 3: They've all come out.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I think people that are around all three of those
- 3:17Speaker 2: candidates can be very proud of the jobs they've done.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You listen to Donald Trump then, and there's a couple
- 3:26Speaker 1: of things there that are very consistent. He said, our
- 3:30Speaker 1: allies are ripping us off. They're ripping Americans off in trade,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and we start there. He also said it's a little
- 3:38Speaker 1: bit tougher with our adversaries. A great example of that
- 3:42Speaker 1: is what he's dealing with with Russia right now. There
- 3:45Speaker 1: are many in the press trying to attack Donald Trump
- 3:48Speaker 1: for not putting major sanctions on Russia. Well, he says
- 3:53Speaker 1: he's trying to stop a war between Russia and Ukraine.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Why complicate things and make things worse by throwing tariffs
- 3:59Speaker 1: on them?
- 4:00Speaker 4: But there's also a second.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Point that the media is omitting from the facts. There's
- 4:06Speaker 1: not a lot to put tariffs on because we have
- 4:09Speaker 1: so many sanctions right now on Russia already, so it's
- 4:13Speaker 1: almost like there is. In fact, they said of tariffs,
- 4:16Speaker 1: there are tariffs of we're not doing anything with you,
- 4:19Speaker 1: and yet the media is trying to act like there's
- 4:21Speaker 1: some sort of Russia collusion three point zero or four
- 4:26Speaker 1: point zero or five point zero when it comes to Russia.
- 4:30Speaker 1: This is how they're going to continue to attack Donald Trump.
- 4:34Speaker 1: At the end of the day, this is a plan
- 4:36Speaker 1: that Donald Trump made clear back in nineteen eighty eight,
- 4:40Speaker 1: is something he believed in. He understands leverage, and that's
- 4:44Speaker 1: why there's fifty plus countries waiting in line to work
- 4:48Speaker 1: a deal with Donald J. Trump, the president of the
- 4:51Speaker 1: United States of America. I also want to go back
- 4:56Speaker 1: to something else that I mentioned earlier, and that is
- 5:00Speaker 1: when Donald Trump was talking about tariffs, he also said
- 5:05Speaker 1: this is a way for America to get out of debt.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Donald Trump on Air Force one saying this about tariffs
- 5:11Speaker 1: and how much money the US will make off of
- 5:14Speaker 1: these tariffs.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Listen, I've been proven it this run.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Will you talk to a lot of leaders this weekend?
- 5:20Speaker 4: Can you tell us their were there any deals made?
- 5:23Speaker 3: I spoke to a lot of leaders.
- 5:25Speaker 5: European agent from all over the world, did die to
- 5:29Speaker 5: make a deal. But I said, We're not gonna have
- 5:31Speaker 5: deficits with your country. We're not gonna do that because
- 5:35Speaker 5: to me, a deficit is a loss. We're gonna have
- 5:38Speaker 5: surpluses or were at worst gonna be breaking even. But
- 5:43Speaker 5: the China would be the worst in the group because
- 5:46Speaker 5: the deficit is so big and it's not sustainable.
- 5:51Speaker 3: And you know, I was elected on this.
- 5:53Speaker 5: This was one of the biggest reasons I got elected
- 5:56Speaker 5: was exactly because of this. And we're gonna put tariffs.
- 6:00Speaker 5: We've already put them on. It's not a question that
- 6:01Speaker 5: we will. We're going to put them on. And those
- 6:04Speaker 5: tariffs next year will make US one trillion dollars. In
- 6:10Speaker 5: addition to the one trillion dollars, thousands of companies are
- 6:14Speaker 5: going to relocate back into the United States and North
- 6:18Speaker 5: Carolina already. Furniture people are starting to move back in
- 6:22Speaker 5: in Detroit and Michigan, which I won because of what
- 6:26Speaker 5: I said. What I'm telling you, car companies are starting.
- 6:30Speaker 3: To open up in Indiana.
- 6:31Speaker 5: A big one is under construction as an example, Honda.
- 6:36Speaker 5: But they're moving in like nobody has ever seen this before.
- 6:42Speaker 5: So it's unsustainable for us to allow China to have
- 6:47Speaker 5: surpluses of a trillion dollars. We will be taking in
- 6:51Speaker 5: over a trillion dollars over the next short period of
- 6:54Speaker 5: time with the tariffs that I've already instituted. They're already
- 6:59Speaker 5: a place. Now, what's gonna happen with the market?
- 7:01Speaker 4: I can't tell you.
- 7:01Speaker 5: What. I can tell you how our country has gotten
- 7:04Speaker 5: a lot stronger, and eventually it'll be a country like
- 7:09Speaker 5: no other. It'll be the most dominant country economically in
- 7:12Speaker 5: the world.
- 7:13Speaker 3: That's just what it should be there in the market.
- 7:17Speaker 1: There, you listen to the media and you hear how
- 7:21Speaker 1: they're talking, and you hear the president. He's very calm.
- 7:25Speaker 1: He has a plan. Trump was asked about the tech leaders,
- 7:28Speaker 1: for example, are they freaking out? What do they say
- 7:30Speaker 1: to you? Like they're trying to find some sort of
- 7:32Speaker 1: war somewhere. It's not happening.
- 7:35Speaker 4: There is no war.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Donald Trump's communicating with everybody openly. I want to ask
- 7:42Speaker 1: you about this other I would just say insane news,
- 7:47Speaker 1: because I can't believe they've been allowed to do it
- 7:49Speaker 1: for so long. And that is that is Mexico stealing water,
- 7:54Speaker 1: which is suffocating farmers.
- 7:57Speaker 4: YEP.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Specifically, it's happening in Texas and it's making farming industry
- 8:03Speaker 1: collapse and farmers disappearing from areas because there is no water.
- 8:08Speaker 6: So let me give you the background, because this is
- 8:09Speaker 6: a really important issue. It's important in Texas, but it's
- 8:12Speaker 6: important to the country, which is there's a water treaty
- 8:16Speaker 6: that we signed with Mexico in nineteen forty four, the
- 8:18Speaker 6: Mexican Water Treaty of nineteen forty four. It obligates Mexico
- 8:23Speaker 6: to provide three hundred and fifty thousand acre feet of
- 8:26Speaker 6: water a year to South Texas. That's over a five
- 8:31Speaker 6: year period. Okay, for the last five years, Mexico has
- 8:36Speaker 6: been openly and brazenly violating the treaty. They've not been
- 8:42Speaker 6: providing the water. They are right now in this five
- 8:45Speaker 6: year period, one point three million acre feet in arrears
- 8:52Speaker 6: water they have not provided that they've committed by treaty
- 8:55Speaker 6: to provide. Now, what are they doing. They're diverting that
- 8:58Speaker 6: water that should go to South Texas farmers under the
- 9:01Speaker 6: treaty to Mexican farmers. And a couple of things are happening.
- 9:05Speaker 6: So in South Texas there is a massive drought going on.
- 9:09Speaker 6: It is doing enormous damage to farmers. And when I
- 9:13Speaker 6: spent a lot of time in South Texas and the
- 9:17Speaker 6: damage to farmers, We're seeing a lot of South Texas
- 9:21Speaker 6: farmers that are taking half of their acreage out of production.
- 9:25Speaker 6: They're shutting down half of their.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Farms just because they don't have the water to do
- 9:28Speaker 4: it right.
- 9:29Speaker 6: They're laying off thousands of workers. So there was one
- 9:35Speaker 6: sugar mill in all of Texas last year. It shut
- 9:40Speaker 6: down because of water, and it shut down because the
- 9:43Speaker 6: sugar farmers did not have the water to raise the
- 9:45Speaker 6: sugar wow And it's gone.
- 9:48Speaker 4: And Mexico on the other side of green as can be.
- 9:51Speaker 6: It is green as can be. The Mexican farmers are prospering.
- 9:54Speaker 6: They're literally stealing our water. And by the way, like
- 9:58Speaker 6: President Trump talks a lot about foreign countries taking advantage
- 10:01Speaker 6: of America, this is this is literally the Mexican government
- 10:05Speaker 6: stealing our water.
- 10:06Speaker 4: And did Joe Biden do anything to stop this? Zero?
- 10:09Speaker 6: And he knew about it, So he knew about it.
- 10:11Speaker 6: So I've engaged this issue. I engaged. I started engaging
- 10:15Speaker 6: about two years ago, and I started engaging when I
- 10:17Speaker 6: was down in South Texas and I did a Roundtaal
- 10:19Speaker 6: with farmers and they raised this issue to me. And
- 10:21Speaker 6: two years ago, I didn't know what the Water treat
- 10:25Speaker 6: of nineteen forty four was, and they explained it to me.
- 10:28Speaker 6: And at the time they were really worried, we're going
- 10:30Speaker 6: to lose our sugar mill if this doesn't change. And
- 10:33Speaker 6: I said, look, I think I can help. I'm going
- 10:35Speaker 6: to lean in. And I began leaning in aggressively. I
- 10:38Speaker 6: forced a vote on the Senate floor on an amendment
- 10:42Speaker 6: to direct the State Department to use every lever point
- 10:45Speaker 6: we have to force Mexico to comply with a water treaty.
- 10:49Speaker 6: I got a majority of the senator, bipartisan majority. And
- 10:53Speaker 6: then there's a water commissioner for the United States. I
- 10:56Speaker 6: like leaned in with the water commissioner said, look, the
- 10:58Speaker 6: Senate has spoken a by part of majority. And here's
- 11:01Speaker 6: the fundamental problem. Joe Biden didn't give a damn about this.
- 11:06Speaker 6: So I desperately tried to get the Biden administration to
- 11:10Speaker 6: exert leverage. Yeah, and they just didn't care.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Now, by the way, leverage for Donald Trump at this
- 11:15Speaker 1: point was him saying, hey, I'm coming after you with
- 11:17Speaker 1: with tariffs or sanctions, So do the right thing now
- 11:20Speaker 1: before I have to do that, and they know he
- 11:21Speaker 1: means it. Unlike even if you had that same statement
- 11:24Speaker 1: from Joe Biden, he ain't gonna do anything.
- 11:26Speaker 6: So in South Texas, cities are also facing massive drought.
- 11:29Speaker 6: You're literally facing the cities not having enough water for
- 11:32Speaker 6: their citizens because Mexico's stealing the water. And so I
- 11:36Speaker 6: leaned in. I could not get the Biden's administration do
- 11:39Speaker 6: a damn thing. In December, as part of the Continuing Resolution,
- 11:43Speaker 6: I authored legislation that got adopted that provided two hundred
- 11:47Speaker 6: and eighty million dollars in emergency relief for Texas farmers
- 11:51Speaker 6: because they're they're going broke. And we're talking about generational farms,
- 11:55Speaker 6: farms that have been three or four generations who were
- 11:58Speaker 6: being bankrupted because their government is not enforcing the treaty
- 12:02Speaker 6: and they're being starved of water.
- 12:04Speaker 3: And so.
- 12:06Speaker 6: Several weeks ago I went down to South Texas with
- 12:08Speaker 6: Brook Rawlins. Brook Rollins is the Secretary of Agriculture. Brook
- 12:12Speaker 6: has been a good friend of mine for twenty five years.
- 12:15Speaker 6: She's a Texan. She's the first Texan in the history
- 12:18Speaker 6: of the country to be the Secretary of agriculture. She's
- 12:21Speaker 6: also the first Secretary of Agriculture ever to go to
- 12:24Speaker 6: the Rio Grande Valley. Wow, and she came to the
- 12:27Speaker 6: valley at my request. I asked her come down with me,
- 12:30Speaker 6: and we did. We did a press conference number one
- 12:34Speaker 6: where she announced I've got two hundred and eighty million
- 12:36Speaker 6: dollars I'm giving the South Texas farmers because your federal
- 12:39Speaker 6: government has been screwing you by not getting the water
- 12:41Speaker 6: back and Mexico is starving you. But we also did
- 12:45Speaker 6: a roundtable. We did a round table with farmers where
- 12:47Speaker 6: Brook and I talked with the farmers and the Rio
- 12:51Speaker 6: Grande Valley has been bright blue for one hundred years.
- 12:57Speaker 6: In twenty twenty four, the Rio Grande Valley flipped red.
- 13:02Speaker 6: I won the valley and Donald Trump won the valley.
- 13:06Speaker 6: That has never happened. I won Hispanic statewide in Texas
- 13:09Speaker 6: by six points. That's never happened. I have spent an
- 13:13Speaker 6: enormous amount of time and millions of dollars in the
- 13:16Speaker 6: valley trying to flip the valley red because I saw
- 13:18Speaker 6: the potential there, and so I think I've invested more
- 13:21Speaker 6: than any elected official in Texas in terms of turning
- 13:24Speaker 6: the valley red. Well, I got to say, sitting there
- 13:27Speaker 6: at that roundtable, you got farmers and ranchers and you're
- 13:29Speaker 6: just asking them, look over the last four years, did
- 13:34Speaker 6: Joe Biden do a damn thing for you?
- 13:36Speaker 3: No?
- 13:37Speaker 4: And that's how that's how you turn this.
- 13:39Speaker 6: And what I told them as I said, listen, if
- 13:41Speaker 6: there's one thing you know about Donald Trump, he will
- 13:44Speaker 6: stand up to foreign countries and fight for you. And
- 13:48Speaker 6: I made that commitment. And frankly, look, these are voters
- 13:53Speaker 6: who their entire lives have voted Democrats. Their parents voted Democrats,
- 13:59Speaker 6: their grandparents voted Democrat, they're great grandparents voted Democrat. And
- 14:04Speaker 6: this last election, for the first time, they pulled the
- 14:06Speaker 6: lever for Republican going down there and saying, look, we're
- 14:10Speaker 6: fighting for you, We're going to get you. The damn
- 14:12Speaker 6: water is one of the ways you lock those votes.
- 14:15Speaker 6: And it's a generational shift for Texas.
- 14:18Speaker 1: By the way, this is the first time for Verdict.
- 14:21Speaker 1: They've just opened the vote. They're only keeping it open
- 14:23Speaker 1: for fifteen minutes.
- 14:24Speaker 6: So I'm gonna go momentario.
- 14:25Speaker 1: You're gonna go momentarily, which means actually it's about twelve
- 14:28Speaker 1: minutes because I'm a couple minutes behind. Just this is
- 14:30Speaker 1: this is why I love doing verdict, because this is
- 14:32Speaker 1: how it really works. And its sandy in the Senate.
- 14:34Speaker 6: So I will say this. I called President Trump a
- 14:38Speaker 6: week ago and I said, Miss President, would make a
- 14:42Speaker 6: huge difference if you leaned in personally with the President
- 14:45Speaker 6: of Mexico and said.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Provide us the water. Yeah, knock it off.
- 14:50Speaker 6: And he said, I'll tell you what. I'll send a
- 14:53Speaker 6: truth social post. And so I worked with them on
- 14:56Speaker 6: the wording of it, and tonight, when I was in
- 14:59Speaker 6: the old I said, miss President, can you send that
- 15:03Speaker 6: truth post?
- 15:04Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 15:04Speaker 6: He sent it tonight. I'm going to read it to you.
- 15:07Speaker 6: Here's what President Trump sent this evening. Mexico owes Texas
- 15:12Speaker 6: one point three million acre feet of water under the
- 15:16Speaker 6: nineteen forty four Water Treaty, but Mexico is unfortunately violating
- 15:20Speaker 6: their treaty obligation. This is very unfair and it is
- 15:24Speaker 6: hurting South Texas farmers very badly. Last year, the only
- 15:30Speaker 6: sugar mill in Texas closed because Mexico has been stealing
- 15:35Speaker 6: the water from Texas farmers. Ted Cruz has been leading
- 15:40Speaker 6: the fight to get South Texas the water it is owed,
- 15:44Speaker 6: but Sleepy Joe refused to lift a finger to help
- 15:49Speaker 6: the farmers. This ends now. I will make sure that
- 15:55Speaker 6: Mexico doesn't violate our treaties and doesn't hurt our Texas farmers.
- 16:01Speaker 6: Just last month, I halted water shipments to Tijuana until
- 16:06Speaker 6: Mexico complies with the nineteen forty four Water Treaty. My
- 16:10Speaker 6: Agriculture Secretary Brook Rawlins is standing up for Texas farmers,
- 16:16Speaker 6: and we will keep escalating consequences, including tariffs and maybe
- 16:23Speaker 6: even sanctions, until Mexico honors the treaty and gives Texas
- 16:30Speaker 6: the water they are owed and gives Texas the water
- 16:32Speaker 6: they are owed. Is an all caps there you go.
- 16:35Speaker 6: That tweet got sent out tonight. I'll tell you in
- 16:38Speaker 6: just within an hour of that tweet going out, the
- 16:41Speaker 6: President of Mexico is sent out of tweet saying we're
- 16:43Speaker 6: gonna fix this. We're going to fix this, and the
- 16:45Speaker 6: Mexican government is freaking out. That's what it looks like.
- 16:50Speaker 6: Later president who is fighting for America. Joe Biden could
- 16:53Speaker 6: have done that for four years, but he didn't give
- 16:56Speaker 6: a flip about farmers in South Texas going out of
- 16:59Speaker 6: business the President's tweet, and I can tell you Mexic
- 17:03Speaker 6: Mexico is in the process now negotiating with the state
- 17:06Speaker 6: department to provide for the water. We're gonna get the water.
- 17:09Speaker 6: And that's a great that's a great, great thing for
- 17:12Speaker 6: Texas in America.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Go vote. You're on the clock now. I love it.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Don't forget me to show Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Sometimes it's
- 17:17Speaker 1: like one in the morning. You're gonna run and vote
- 17:19Speaker 1: right now. We'll see you back here on what is today? Thursday, Wednesday?
- 17:23Speaker 4: What is today? It's just they're all running together now.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Today's Thursday, Thursday. So this is fright.
- 17:27Speaker 1: So the bet that the weekend review will be on Saturday.
- 17:29Speaker 1: So there you go, which isn't like a day. If
- 17:31Speaker 1: you're looking at when we're recording.
- 17:32Speaker 4: This, we'll see you.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Then share this wherever you are on social media, and
- 17:35Speaker 1: we'll see you back here on Saturday. The President the
- 17:38Speaker 1: United States of America standing with American workers, with the
- 17:42Speaker 1: coal miners their families and talking about energy independence, talking
- 17:48Speaker 1: about putting miners back to work at the White House,
- 17:51Speaker 1: explaining that it's time for us to be careful that
- 17:54Speaker 1: we're not relying on others, and it's an issue also
- 17:57Speaker 1: of national security.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Here's part of what the president. It's at the White House.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Take a listen.
- 18:01Speaker 7: Today, we're taking historic action to help American workers, miners, families,
- 18:06Speaker 7: and consumers. We're ending Joe Biden's war on beautiful clean
- 18:10Speaker 7: call once and for all. And it wasn't just Biden,
- 18:13Speaker 7: it was Obama and there were others. But we're doing
- 18:18Speaker 7: the exact opposite. And all those plants that have been
- 18:23Speaker 7: closed are going to be opened if they're modern enough,
- 18:26Speaker 7: or they'll be ripped down and brand new ones will
- 18:29Speaker 7: be built.
- 18:30Speaker 3: We're going to put the miners back to work.
- 18:32Speaker 7: And I said I was going to do this, and
- 18:35Speaker 7: I've said it loud and clear, and it's time to
- 18:38Speaker 7: do it.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Then we need it now.
- 18:41Speaker 1: The President mentioned there historic action. This is because he's
- 18:45Speaker 1: no longer going to war with coal miners. He's saying,
- 18:48Speaker 1: I'm here to help you, I'm here to help Americans,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I'm here to help your families. I'm here to help consumers.
- 18:53Speaker 1: As we are continuing to see the prices of oil
- 18:56Speaker 1: and gas prices go down all over the country, the
- 18:59Speaker 1: President making it clear this is the Democrat Party's fault
- 19:03Speaker 1: and that's why I said We're ending Joe Biden's war
- 19:06Speaker 1: on beautiful, clean coal once and for all. The President
- 19:10Speaker 1: also talked about these important energy workers and coal miners,
- 19:13Speaker 1: saying it's time for us to treat them like the
- 19:15Speaker 1: American patriots that they are. They have been demonized by
- 19:19Speaker 1: the left, and he said not in my administration.
- 19:22Speaker 7: The energy workers and the coal miners in the area
- 19:27Speaker 7: that I'm standing on. And there's a lot of weight
- 19:29Speaker 7: on this platform, So I don't know what's going to happen.
- 19:32Speaker 3: I hope it's structurally designed for you guys.
- 19:34Speaker 7: I don't know, but we have just really well deserving,
- 19:39Speaker 7: great American patriots, and it's such an honor to be
- 19:44Speaker 7: here and making such a big move, such a bold
- 19:47Speaker 7: move and energy because you know, for years people would
- 19:52Speaker 7: just bemoan this industry and decimate the industry for absolutely
- 20:00Speaker 7: no reason. Because with modern technology and all of the
- 20:03Speaker 7: other things that we do, it's one of the great
- 20:06Speaker 7: great forms of energy. That's why other countries, leading countries
- 20:09Speaker 7: are using it, some exclusively.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Some exclusively, also reminding that the Green New Deal is
- 20:16Speaker 1: over and that there's other countries are using this exclusively
- 20:20Speaker 1: to explain that hey, We're not going to have all
- 20:23Speaker 1: these initiatives around a Green New Deal. We're not going
- 20:26Speaker 1: to push everything into all this alternative energy. We must
- 20:30Speaker 1: have energy independance. It is part of our national security
- 20:33Speaker 1: and that's vitally important. The President also talking about the
- 20:37Speaker 1: policy differences here and explain that Biden's energy policy was
- 20:41Speaker 1: really one simple thing. Put Americans last, make you pay
- 20:47Speaker 1: way more than you should for energy, and hurt the
- 20:50Speaker 1: American family, and he says that stops today.
- 20:53Speaker 7: The Democrats Green New Scam killed jobs and sent prices
- 20:57Speaker 7: soaring here in America. But meanwhile, check opened two coal
- 21:01Speaker 7: plants every single week, and other countries likewise went very
- 21:06Speaker 7: strongly back into coal. Some of them never got off.
- 21:10Speaker 7: Those are the ones that didn't have the problems. The
- 21:12Speaker 7: Biden energy policy was to put America last. We want
- 21:16Speaker 7: to be least. We got to be lest. Not a
- 21:18Speaker 7: good policy. Under my administration, we're putting America first. It's
- 21:22Speaker 7: very simple. America is always going to be first. On
- 21:25Speaker 7: my first day in office, I terminated the Green new Scam.
- 21:29Speaker 7: I declared the National Energy Emergency, and withdrew from the
- 21:32Speaker 7: unfair one side and extremely costly to the United States
- 21:36Speaker 7: only Paris Climate a.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Court, and that wasn't all that the President had to
- 21:41Speaker 1: say when it comes to our policy. The President also
- 21:44Speaker 1: said we're going to get rid of regulations at this
- 21:46Speaker 1: White House event with coal miners behind him, saying that
- 21:50Speaker 1: that's one of the biggest problems is we've used the
- 21:52Speaker 1: government to decide and choose winners and losers. This is
- 21:56Speaker 1: part of that green new scam, as he mentioned, where
- 21:59Speaker 1: you have a government that says we will subsidize certain
- 22:02Speaker 1: things that we like and we will destroy other things
- 22:05Speaker 1: that we don't like. That is the Democratic Party and
- 22:08Speaker 1: what they believe in. The President said also those days
- 22:11Speaker 1: are over as well.
- 22:13Speaker 7: Now under the executive order that I will sign in
- 22:16Speaker 7: a few moments, we're slashing unnecessary regulations that targeted.
- 22:21Speaker 3: The beautiful clean coal.
- 22:23Speaker 7: We will rapidly expedite leases for coal mining on federal lands.
- 22:27Speaker 3: And these two gentlemen are going to do a real
- 22:29Speaker 3: job of it. You've already started and will streamline permitting.
- 22:33Speaker 3: We will end the government.
- 22:35Speaker 7: Bias against call, and we're going to unlock the sweeping
- 22:38Speaker 7: authorities of Defense Production Act, the Defense Production Act.
- 22:44Speaker 1: So this is clearly going to have an instant impact
- 22:47Speaker 1: on the pricing when it comes to what it's going
- 22:50Speaker 1: to cost you this winter, in this summer, whether it's gas,
- 22:54Speaker 1: or whether it's heating your home, whether it is buying
- 22:57Speaker 1: certain goods that use a lot of the energy. The
- 23:00Speaker 1: the President said there was we're slashing these unnecessary regulations
- 23:04Speaker 1: and why because we need to expand rapidly coal mining
- 23:09Speaker 1: in federal lands is a yes, well streamline permitting. Yes,
- 23:13Speaker 1: we're going to end the government bias against coal. Yes,
- 23:16Speaker 1: and we're going to unlock all of this so the
- 23:18Speaker 1: American people get a better deal and also so we
- 23:21Speaker 1: are not giving money to our adversaries or we are
- 23:24Speaker 1: at a disadvantage with the rest of the world. The
- 23:27Speaker 1: President saying this is the plan moving forward. He also
- 23:31Speaker 1: said this, We're going to guarantee that this country, for
- 23:36Speaker 1: many years to come, has what it needs to succeed,
- 23:40Speaker 1: specifically when it comes to businesses, because this is what
- 23:44Speaker 1: this is all about.
- 23:45Speaker 7: Get a guarantee that we have a strong business for
- 23:51Speaker 7: many years to come, that your coal companies and your
- 23:55Speaker 7: miners don't get all excited about their jobs. And then
- 23:59Speaker 7: should a radical left liberal become president, they end the
- 24:04Speaker 7: business right away. And somebody's built a plant and spent
- 24:07Speaker 7: hundreds of millions of dollars in building a plant, and
- 24:10Speaker 7: the plant is going to be closed because a Democrat
- 24:14Speaker 7: got in or a liberal got in. They're opposed to Call,
- 24:17Speaker 7: and Republicans are very much for it clean Call, and
- 24:21Speaker 7: we're going to give a guarantee that the business will
- 24:25Speaker 7: not be terminated by the ups and downs of the
- 24:28Speaker 7: world of politics. So should somebody come in to this
- 24:33Speaker 7: very important office and say, oh, well, you spend hundreds
- 24:37Speaker 7: of millions of dollars and you guys have given up
- 24:39Speaker 7: your life because you want to be in Call, and
- 24:42Speaker 7: then all of a sudden you don't have a life
- 24:44Speaker 7: anymore because it's what you know the best.
- 24:46Speaker 3: That's not going to happen.
- 24:47Speaker 7: We're going to give a guarantee that it is not
- 24:49Speaker 7: going to happen, so that if somebody comes in, they
- 24:51Speaker 7: cannot change it at a whim.
- 24:53Speaker 3: They cannot just go. They're going to have to go
- 24:54Speaker 3: through hell to close you up, all right, So that's
- 24:57Speaker 3: pretty good. We're going to give that in the form
- 24:59Speaker 3: of a guarantee.
- 24:59Speaker 7: That we're writing on right now structurally and from a
- 25:02Speaker 7: legal standpoint, so your investments are going to also be protected.
- 25:14Speaker 1: The President again putting American workers first. This is a
- 25:19Speaker 1: big guarantee from this president and it's not just a
- 25:22Speaker 1: promise that he mad in the campaign trail, but he's
- 25:24Speaker 1: actually paying off on it right now.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Now.
- 25:26Speaker 1: All this is happening while we're also dealing with everything
- 25:29Speaker 1: with the tariffs. The President also giving some good news
- 25:33Speaker 1: on tariffs as well. Take a listen to what President
- 25:37Speaker 1: Trump had to say about how much money we're bringing
- 25:39Speaker 1: in already from what he has done.
- 25:42Speaker 7: And for those of you that want to know the tariffs,
- 25:45Speaker 7: you've been hearing about tariffs with taking in almost two
- 25:48Speaker 7: billion dollars a day in tariffs, two billion a day,
- 25:52Speaker 7: and we're doing very well, and we're doing very well
- 26:01Speaker 7: and making I call them tailor deals, not off the rack.
- 26:04Speaker 7: These are tailored, highly tailored deals. Right now, Japan is
- 26:08Speaker 7: flying here to make a deal. South Korea is flying
- 26:12Speaker 7: here to make a deal, and others are flying here.
- 26:15Speaker 3: I mean, my only problem is I'm not sure I
- 26:16Speaker 3: have enough.
- 26:17Speaker 7: We're gonna have to use those those great law firms
- 26:19Speaker 7: I think to help us with that.
- 26:22Speaker 3: But we're going to probably do that.
- 26:24Speaker 7: Actually, we're going to use them, and we're getting them
- 26:27Speaker 7: for the right price because we have to.
- 26:30Speaker 3: We need a lot of talent. We have a lot
- 26:32Speaker 3: of two.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Billion a day while you're getting a better deal for Americans,
- 26:36Speaker 1: American workers, American manufacturing.
- 26:39Speaker 4: I mean, this is pretty impressive, he says. We're doing
- 26:42Speaker 4: all of these deals. And as he said, right now,
- 26:44Speaker 4: Japan is flying here to make a deal.
- 26:46Speaker 1: South Korea is flying here to make a deal, and
- 26:49Speaker 1: others are flying here. They understand this presence not messing around,
- 26:53Speaker 1: and they realize they're going to have to make a
- 26:55Speaker 1: better deal with America so that America is in last
- 26:58Speaker 1: place anymore, and you can get in the chin from
- 27:01Speaker 1: all of these other countries around the world.
- 27:03Speaker 4: At the end of the day, what Donald Trump said
- 27:05Speaker 4: is true. I'm not backing down.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I'm going to fix the problems we have with our
- 27:10Speaker 1: trade deficits, and I'm going to make sure that people
- 27:13Speaker 1: are investing in the US and American workers are winning,
- 27:16Speaker 1: whether it's the coal miners or those in the tech industry.
- 27:19Speaker 1: It's clear the presidents saying American workers are going to
- 27:24Speaker 1: come first in my administration, and this could last for
- 27:27Speaker 1: at least three or four more years. We're going to
