- 0:03[SPEAKER_04]: The only thing that we would hang manners for that would put up around this building is World Championships.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Bill Taft, BTA, and you know the message is clear, you know, we just had to play better.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody wants to take a chip and dip it in that salsa, if you know what I'm saying.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, people had us as a really good team, but I don't think they've written on it's not how good we can really be.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_05]: What's up, guys?
- 0:32[SPEAKER_05]: This is Jeff Manis.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_05]: You're listening to Poor Man's Packers Hot Dance.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_04]: Hello, and welcome to another edition for my next podcast.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_04]: I want to pack this podcast in the state of our minds.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_04]: I am Spencer joined this week with Billion Todd boys, hello.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_04]: Greetings, gentlemen, and we are back after a by week.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_04]: Even though we had an episode last week, but the Packers are back.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_04]: They're practicing everything is good.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_04]: It's fall.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_04]: Billy, how are you?
- 1:03[SPEAKER_05]: Are you enjoying fall?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_05]: Autumn?
- 1:06[SPEAKER_05]: uh... so i mean as of this week after it finally got below 90 degrees this weekend it's been delightful this week i've had the windows open turned off the air conditioning i've raped my yard once i'm gonna have to do it about seven more times so i'm enjoying fall so far but check back in a couple of weeks i'll be over it what are your favorite like fall names like you prefer fall do you prefer autumn fall
- 1:37[SPEAKER_04]: That's it.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_03]: You don't you don't have one yourself that you like the most I just realize there's probably two I just realize there's probably two that's that's Harvest Harvest is there okay okay if you're if you're an Iwijin
- 2:07[SPEAKER_03]: No, that's not what you're called.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: Is it, that's at it?
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's I-1.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_03]: I like I-wee-gen.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_03]: If you're an I-wee-gen, you would say harvest, right?
- 2:20[SPEAKER_03]: Did you hear that a lot?
- 2:21[SPEAKER_03]: Growing up?
- 2:22[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, I grew up in the big city in Iowa, so... There.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_05]: All right, good.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_04]: I'm glad and glad we got that all taken care of for what we call this season.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_04]: Um, you know, this is everyone's favorite episode besides the preview, you know, the byweek bananza got the ser seventh one, just, you know, outrageous fun, Todd Wright.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_03]: outrageous fun.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_04]: So we're going to, we're going to just talk a little bit about the season so far, you know, I'm sure everyone's just waiting to hear whatever Billy thinks about the packers so far this year.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll go over the season a little bit.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_04]: What's been surprising and what we've, what some of our biggest, let downs have been so far this year, then we will have our, we always
- 3:08[SPEAKER_04]: You usually have a draft or something stupid, and we were going to have best moments, sense, or favorite moments, and it's the Super Bowl.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_04]: But then Todd convinced me to do the big boy, big boy.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_04]: Fuck drafts.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to do a draft of our favorite fat packers, rather players, coaches, or perhaps even fans.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_03]: I think you took some creative liberties on what my suggestion actually was with the fat packer.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: You said big boys.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_03]: I meant like who like if you're picking a wide out do you want David boxy are it wide out or do you want Caleb jodes at wide out like who are you picking that's dumb that one that would have been done We we also kind of already did that last year with the offense versus Steve.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: Oh no, no, no, no, no, I don't think we did
- 3:58[SPEAKER_03]: So I think we have to be creative, and that was one of the ways, but I didn't necessarily say fat pack or draft.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_03]: I said big boys.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_04]: I turned it into the fat fuck.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I've said fat fuck a few times, a few too many times.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if on Twitter, it's a term of endearment, by the way.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, exactly.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's always followed by respectfully.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_04]: I just want people to know that fuck's respectfully.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, respectfully.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll have that draft.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_04]: Reach picking four, and I've a list of like 22.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I've stumped many Packers trivia, and then we will preview the much anticipated Bengals game.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_04]: You know, it's been, you know, it's a full two weeks off that we had without any Packers.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_04]: So we got that out of the way very early in the season, but back to the team.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_04]: Again, it's been a week.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_04]: We are, what, two, one, and one.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_04]: We are her second place in the NFC North.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_04]: We barely have a better winning percentage than the Vikings and the Bears, like being, uh,
- 4:47[SPEAKER_04]: three and two after winning in London last week and then the Detroit lines have looked pretty good outside of when they played us.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_04]: But certain things off, I mean, it's been a tale of two two games.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_04]: You know, the first two games, we look pretty good.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_04]: Next two games, we look fine, but kind of collapse at the second half of those games.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_04]: So, Billy, I'll just let you go first.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_04]: What are you thinking?
- 5:11[SPEAKER_04]: So far, are your expectations higher
- 5:18[SPEAKER_05]: I guess they're about the same.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, if we had gone if before this season, you asked me what I thought a record would be at the by week.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_05]: I would have said three and one.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_05]: I thought we would lose to the lions.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_05]: I thought we would be everybody else.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_05]: We beat the Lions, we lost to the Browns, and then basically the Cowboys game is one that nobody ever would have expected.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_05]: We would have tied.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_05]: So it's like, we basically just flipped a game that I thought we would win for a tie.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_05]: So the fact that we can play with two teams that we thought would be near the top of the NFC, the Lions and the Commanders,
- 5:58[SPEAKER_05]: And then for everything that went wrong in the Browns and the Cowboys games and both on the road the fact that we were still in it at the end And I mean the Browns game talking with you Spencer that is the kind of game where if any one of about four things in the last five minutes goes differently I think we win that game
- 6:20[SPEAKER_05]: So, I'm a little less optimistic than I was at the beginning of the season, but at the same time, it's a long year ahead of us, and I would much rather get these games out of the way now than to have a clunker-like Cleveland in say early December when we're jacking for playoff position.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_04]: True, the cowboy game like I felt I think I felt worse after the cowboy's game than the Brown's game just because like that Brown's defense was so good and was just such a cluster of fuck at the end It's a bummer that we've legitimately lost two games due to shitty special teams, so that's very fun, but that's not anything new
- 7:03[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I mean, if we, if you lose half of your games due to special teams, that is like if we put that, there's all, there are always games, usually it's not too in a row, but there are always games at the end of the year that we look back on and it's like, boy, our special teams really screwed the pooch on that one.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_04]: True, true.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_04]: And going back to like expectations to and how we're looking at this team just from Vegas standards, how they're looking at it.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_04]: Beginning of the year, we were 13 to 1 to win the Super Bowl.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_04]: That was second best.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_04]: And then if you just behind the Eagles and head of the Lions, we are now 8 and 1, which is tied with the Lions would behind the Eagles who are 7 to 1.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_04]: and only the bills have a better odds of the Super Bowl right now at 5 to 1.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_04]: So we're tied for like 3rd in Super Bowl odds right now.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_04]: So things could be much worse.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_04]: Something else to talk about to Jordan Love.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_04]: He started the season 25 to 1 odds to win the MVP.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_04]: He's now in 4th with 12 to 1 odds, which is pretty impressive.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_04]: He's only behind Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, and Baker Mayfield is what is the chief's record right now?
- 8:09[SPEAKER_04]: They even have a winning record.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: are they have a losing record two and three that's I was going to guess their two and three I don't know if you have to actually look it up but I'll look it up uh they are two and three
- 8:23[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_04]: There we go.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_04]: But I mean overall, I think we're all kind of on the same page.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_04]: We all still feel pretty good about this team.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe not as high as we were After the commander's game You know, it's funny because it's like there's what what's the biggest surprise what's the biggest let down and it's even though we still feel really good about the team.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_04]: It's like easier to come up with let downs right now.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like but we'll start things off.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_04]: We'll each have one of them.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_04]: What has been your biggest surprise so far.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_04]: Billy for the Packer season.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to say my biggest surprise has been Jordan love.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, going into the year, we were still trying to figure out like, is he this elite NFL quarterback, this franchise quarterback or is he just one of those kind of middle tier, you know, he's your guy, but
- 9:15[SPEAKER_05]: you just because you really don't want to risk having to go draft another guy in the first round and he ends up being worse.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like he, it's, it was a kind of the question of is he a top five quarterback or is he in the like 12 to 15 range?
- 9:30[SPEAKER_05]: I think.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_05]: And I think we were, I at least was still trying to figure that out.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_05]: Todd, that was your intrusive thought at the beginning of the year, right?
- 9:40[SPEAKER_05]: Was, is Jordan love terrible all around?
- 9:42[SPEAKER_04]: His way, what of Jordan love just sucks in mine was, what if we would be better with Aaron Rod?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: Instead of Jordan love.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_03]: So it's still like I look at him sometimes and I'm like God he doesn't suck like I'm like no But then I look at him sometimes.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_05]: I mean if if we talk about this after the Browns game It might be different conversation, but I'm just looking at the four games and aggregate If you look at his stats, he's on pace for like 4200 yards passing.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_05]: He's on pace for like 33 touchdowns and like four picks
- 10:12[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, those are Aaron Rogers' type numbers, maybe not the volume of touchdowns because I don't think the offense is quite as dynamic or explosive as it was with Rogers, but four to five picks for a year.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_05]: That's basically what I expected Rogers to do, and that was one of the complaints with the love going into the year was that he's going to make some of those bone head throws,
- 10:36[SPEAKER_05]: There have been a couple this year that maybe should have been picked off, but, you know, it seems like he's found a nice balance between raining that in a little bit, but still taking the shots downfield and looking for the explosive play.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I had Jordan love written down as well.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_04]: And again, I mean, it's what, what, love are you going to get?
- 10:56[SPEAKER_04]: Are you going to get a dad tax that game?
- 10:59[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and I don't know.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_04]: It's still, it's like, what, what more are we going to see this season from him?
- 11:04[SPEAKER_04]: I'm still, you know, I still have some, you know, still hold on to some bad PTSD with some of these throws that he's had, but
- 11:12[SPEAKER_04]: Again, it goes back to like the back half of last year where it seems like Matt LaFlor kind of, you know, had him on Alicia bit where it was like a Josh Jacobs offense and it just, I feel like the ceiling of the team is so much lower when we're a run first team.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_04]: So it was nice to see like first Dallas the second half where we were really throwing the ball a lot and it's like, I even if maybe we're not as good like part of this too is like we have like the slowest team in the NFL for like pace of play in the league.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_04]: Like we have the least amount of plays on offense just about if I've seen those really yeah You've seen those charts because we always use the full clock.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_04]: We always like I don't know Just milk.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's usually like what we have three possessions per half and you see a lot of other games And it's like they just it's touched on after touched down.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_04]: I should find that graphic.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: It's why I actually can reference when I'm talking about it, but
- 12:00[SPEAKER_04]: Overall still, yes, Jordan Love will see what happens, but it's given the point where it's like I'd rather just drop back and pass on first, don't rather than fucking hand it off to Josh Jacobs just by every time.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_04]: Todd, what is your surprise up to season so far?
- 12:14[SPEAKER_03]: My surprise is just how good the defense has been, and I'm excluding, obviously, the most recent game against Dallas with the 40 points.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what that was, that's an anomaly, but like watching that defense the first three weeks was like phenomenal, it was just like, it makes you just like excited to like not have the ball almost, you're like, let's see how quick we get the ball back, or like what's going to happen.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_03]: Now the turnovers have been,
- 12:41[SPEAKER_03]: Oddly just like non-existent.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_04]: What do we have like two we have the second least in the NFL?
- 12:48[SPEAKER_03]: Weird but also it's like I do feel as though the turnovers will come So I'm not super worried about it from that aspect if anything it's like That's like bonus money like that's like that's like that's like when you go to the casino And you sign up for a player's card and they're like here's your free $10 to spend it's not actually real
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: But like in my head like those are pecs coming down the road, right like those's my free bonus money coming like that's coming You know or you go to a conference and they're like hey if you go play you can you here's this card that you care this certificate and you get the extra money You know, so it's not real, but it feels ice cream
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: In my head it's there like what's common.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_05]: You don't even like we're gonna go cash in just the fact just the fact that our defense has played so well For the most part the Dallas game notwithstanding and we only have two turnovers is reassuring to me because
- 13:44[SPEAKER_05]: Turnovers are kind of flookie, like there are teams that force a crap ton of turnovers one year and then they're terrible at forcing turnovers the next.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_05]: So, to your point, Todd, like they're going to come eventually, and when they do, our defense is just going to be that much better.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_04]: You do wonder almost if just like the, um, the Micah Parsons trade, if that change things to where offense is going into the game against those are like, okay, we need to get rid of the ball quick.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_04]: Like Joe Flacco with Cleveland, I mean, he was throwing up all as quick as a good deck press got didn't incredibly good job at it as well.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_04]: And it's like, maybe if we just didn't have Micah, it would be a little different to we didn't even blitz all that much against Dallas either.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_04]: And I mean, even when we have
- 14:31[SPEAKER_04]: Well, maybe why it is important and you know if we if just the first half was fine I mean even just you know the touchdown we let up before the end of the first half was because of the turnover from Jordan love So yes, it's been really good and I think better than a lot of us expected
- 14:49[SPEAKER_05]: My other thought on the Dallas game is how much of Dallas putting up 40 points on us.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, we spotted them the seven points, like you said, but how much of that is Dallas realizing to like our defense cannot stop Jordan love.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_05]: So we need to get the ball out.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_05]: We need to try and go up and down the field.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_05]: Like it kind of seemed like
- 15:09[SPEAKER_05]: You know, to try it in the opener, almost played it conservative against us.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_05]: They didn't really seem to attack us.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_05]: It was almost like they were more worried about defencing against Mike at Parsons in the past Russian, whatever.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_05]: So, and the game was relatively low scoring too, so they didn't really feel that sense of urgency to go down and get points.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, my big surprise for the year thus far, you know, again, I mean, this is great that it's after four games.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_04]: Um, I have just the wide receiver group as a whole.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_04]: It's kind of funny.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_04]: I think, uh, Matthew Golden's probably been the biggest lot down outside of January getting hurt, but even him, he had like that really nice touch.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_04]: Well, should have been a touchdown grab where he broke his collarbone.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_04]: But like Matthew Golden potentially should have like three touchdowns like he had the one that he Jordan loved overthrew him the one where he went out of bounds against Cleveland and then last week if Dantavian Wix and this is the correction from last week it actually was Wix that ran the wrong route not Matthew Golden on that play do it so if Wix or sweet boy if Wix wasn't there gold would have been running free and it probably would have been a big touchdown
- 16:23[SPEAKER_04]: But Romeo Dobbs, obviously leading the team and touchdowns, I think he has four, he has four, five total, obviously the three against the Cowboys, Duntavian Wix, he's been great in his role, saving Williams even.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we talked, we didn't even expect much out of him after how much he was being dubbed during training camp and he's been okay, just not on returns.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_04]: Malik Heath in his small, you know, he had that one really nice grab.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, probably the catch of the year so far for the packers on the left side line from Jordan love and again just overall the group has caught pretty much everything like there hasn't been any terrible terrible drops that I can really remember maybe Romeo dobsick the first drive at the season, but that might have even been the priest.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I want to say there was one week one wasn't there wasn't there a bad one week one early on, but that we're like, oh fuck here it goes.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, the fact that we don't know for sure, when last year you could reference one every single week, just shows when improvement has been.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_04]: So Ryan behalf of he's off my shit list right now.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_04]: I think everyone, it's pretty much just rich on my shit list or in the hot seat, maybe Matt LaFlor has like a quarter of a cheek on the seat for the hot seat.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_04]: But other than that, I think they've been outside of Jordan Love, like the most impressive part of the offense thus far.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_04]: And I think, well, I mean, Tucker Crafftoo, he's been pretty good, but we kind of thought he was going to be the number one target for the offense going in the season.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_04]: Biggest let down.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_05]: So something negative Billy, what is your biggest let down?
- 17:55[SPEAKER_05]: My biggest let down is the offensive line.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_05]: And I get that we're banged up.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_05]: I get that there injuries.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_05]: We have we had a different starting five and every game this year.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_05]: I believe so.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_05]: So none of that is positive.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_05]: A lot of that is outside of our control, but I hate using injuries as an excuse.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_05]: Every single team in the NFL deals with injuries and we've been relatively healthy on the offensive line for a long time, I would say.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_05]: My complaint is even the guys that we expected to be solid when they are in there in healthy, you know, ZAC Tom started the year healthy.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_05]: He was okay, and then I think we rushed him back, and that contributed to the debacle in Cleveland.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_05]: But that cleavely game regardless of how many backup offensive linemen we have like one of the things the packers have always Pride in themselves on is offensive lined up the fact that we just got absolutely Embarrassed by that browns defensive front.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_05]: I get they have a good defense.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_03]: I understand that's a very good defensive front
- 19:02[SPEAKER_05]: I understand that, but we still should not be getting the way that we did in that game, and then even when we have been healthy, we have not been able to get the running game going at all.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, Josh Jacobs is rushing for 3.3 yards of carry.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_05]: That's terrible.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_05]: And as a team, we're averaging less than 4 yards of carry, so
- 19:25[SPEAKER_05]: I get that there's moving parts on the offensive line, but I would have expected that they would have been better from the jump because they did have to try so many guys during training camp and get so many guys reps.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_05]: It's not like we went through training camp at the same five guys and then all of a sudden we're dealing with injuries.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, banks has been hurt since basically we signed them.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and with Josh Jacobs to go back where you're talking about.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's something like it's over 80% of his yards of came after contact, which is just ridiculous.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_04]: He's getting hit and less than ideal.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_04]: And then you have the offensive line and it's just, it's been a weird thing with Steno and Matt, you know, since they've been here.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they've always been well above average.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, top 10 offensive line just but every single year.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_04]: but then there's always the head scratching moves where if it's Billy Turner starting at tackle against the bucks or bringing the badger, Cowboys his name, Luke, Ricky Wagner, Rick Witt, Ricky Wagner having him start in the playoffs too.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_04]: Like there's always weird little things that we do.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_04]: It was a Jordan Morgan starting at right tackle against the Browns and then moving him to left guard.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_04]: You know, and then Knard starting at right.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he was fine.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_04]: Like the Cowboys game, I think we were good enough, but for how the Browns game was just embarrassing.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_04]: Like it felt like it was back to the days of like Don Barclay having to come in and replace someone.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_05]: And that Cowboys game was the first game where I actually felt okay about the ground game, but even still like Josh Jacobs at 86 yards, but it took him 22 carries to get there.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_05]: So he was still under four yards of carry.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that was a game of two halves two or the second half we were running for like over five yards of clip.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_04]: Um, honestly, the the separator of the, you know, saying it's been a tale of two, two games.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_04]: It's before Zack Tom's injury and after Zack Tom's injury.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_04]: Literally the first play of that Browns game and everything has been a little spot.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, since then.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, Todd, what is your biggest flat down?
- 21:31[SPEAKER_03]: is biggest let down isn't a surprise right like we knew right can that be sure it's the corner opposite to kishan nixon i said the beginning of the year quarter was by the worst position it is it is it is the let down of the road you put across from kishan it's i was really hoping caring how i was how can you be let down if we knew they were going to be bad
- 21:56[SPEAKER_03]: just reaffirming what I already knew is that they were bad.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's a let down.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_03]: I was hoping to be surprised.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_03]: I was hoping that Hobbs would be better.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_03]: Holy crap.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's Hobbs not impressed.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's so far.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's early.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_04]: He's still coming back from the early.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_03]: It's early.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_04]: But yes.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_04]: Kering to Valentine's Day too.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_04]: Kering to Valentine's almost more of a let down just because he's healthy and he's had such a shitty second half of that cowboys game.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_03]: I would say, like, if I had to pick somebody on the secondary, I'd more let down my Hobbes just because I thought, like, I just, like, look at when somebody, we've talked about this before, like, somebody leaves an organization, like, you go look at their tweets, like, when we get a free agent, what are the opposing teams and like, it was a mixed bag, but it was a lot of, like,
- 22:38[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, this guy's like, tough and he's good in the slot.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_03]: And then you're like, I don't know if like, if we keep seeing the same thing from Hobbes, it's like, I don't know if he can play anywhere.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_03]: Slot or otherwise, like, it is him and carrying to Valentine put on like a pretty lousy show against Dallas.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_05]: So he was my let down of the year going into the year, but have you seen what Gyer has been up to in Baltimore?
- 23:01[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I don't type of anybody who regrets letting him go.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_03]: I have at least seen like when he went after who caught the touchdown and did the Yeah, they do something.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: He's like on Sunday from him.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_03]: It was Jalen Noelle.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_03]: He did the Ray Lewis.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_03]: That's what it was and he wouldn't took the ball from him or so well.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_05]: It was it was also his first career touchdown.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_05]: So of course he was going to keep the ball.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_03]: So not that that, like, obviously if you factor in, I'm sure maybe Jair would not have been the answer.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_03]: Seeing that, it wasn't Greedor Passures elsewhere, but like, that corner room is just like...
- 23:39[SPEAKER_03]: My thing was going to be the offensive line.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_03]: I got to pick something else.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_03]: The quarter-room is it.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's the left-down for me.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: I guess that's where I'm at.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_03]: But the defense is still great.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm between two here, which are far more of a let down.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_04]: I would say.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_04]: The special teams and Matt LaFlor.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, special teams, you know, we don't expect much, but again, we've failed to reach victory in two of these games because of the special teams largely.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but I'm gonna go with Matt LaFlor again.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I sent it last week and it's just you got this weird feeling with them now.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_04]: And I again, I just If if this season ends the way last season did, I really wonder if Ed policy would make some type of move just because He's a policy and Carmen policy, which is a guy who would make
- 24:24[SPEAKER_04]: big moves even though it didn't always seem like the right time but it's just again in year seven with him the late game management stuff I mean if you know at the end of Mike McCarthy you know it was it was it was time for him to go but the reason it was time for him to go is because he his offense no longer was getting it done like it was all that kind of static stuff
- 24:46[SPEAKER_04]: No motion.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_04]: It was, you know, guys having to get open themselves for the most part, you know, Rogers was sick of them too, but he always, you know, people got on him back in the day for like sometimes the time out stuff, but he was, he is a football coach.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_04]: He knows when to call timeouts.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_04]: He knows what's going on in the game.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_04]: Outside of, you know, 2014, there might have been some mismanagement there.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_04]: but it's like I almost want him to come into the building you know how we have like the self-scouts of Nathaniel Hackett is scouting the defense and you know Luke Getsy did that last year too.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_04]: We had Robert Sala self-scouting the offense last year.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_04]: I want Mike McCarthy to come in and just be like the assistant head coach to the assistant head coach and help like game day break down stuff like
- 25:28[SPEAKER_04]: He wasn't the best challenger either, but it's just there's been too much mismanagement out of these last five games.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_04]: Again, the bears game, this season finale last year, the regular season Matt totally bungled bat at the end of the game.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_04]: The Browns game at the end throwing on third down.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you know, whatever there was a couple other things and then just even the special teams in general, just as misguided talked about this for acne packing and I think we might have touched it on last week too.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_04]: But a big reason why we've had these issues on special teams on the field goal unit, one it's kind of against what we can do because of the CBA and there isn't time to practice special teams during the season, but not allowing some starters to play on special teams after you've had some pretty consequential plays there with the black kicks back to back.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, we had that block kick against the Cowboys.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_04]: It was both Brant Banks and Luke Musgraves problem on that.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_04]: It seems like the way it was drawn up for us to block.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_04]: It was Brant Banks.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_04]: It was supposed to take two guys.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_04]: That's what Matt LaFlor said at the presser following that game.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_04]: Not immediately after, but the Monday after, which is just,
- 26:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's back to like why the fuck is this what we're doing?
- 26:41[SPEAKER_04]: Why is we're chiving us do this but then after that He was grant banks was replaced by Elton Jenkins and we were fine the rest of the way out after that So but again, that's that's the head coaches call for started as playing on special teams The special teams coordinator will want to have the best of the best out there
- 26:56[SPEAKER_04]: So it's just been some of this management stuff and it's just odd how it's gotten worse over time instead of better for the most part Maybe he's just getting the kinks out early in the season, but I don't know.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_04]: I'm still scratching my head a little bit on what Matt What goes through Matt's mind at the end of these games?
- 27:15[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I think you picking the special teams was low-hinged.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't, I picked that before.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_03]: I picked Matt before.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you talked about it a little bit.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, Spencer, you make an interesting point.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you brought up, how do we not have somebody in Matt's ear like helping manage the stuff?
- 27:35[SPEAKER_05]: Like, at the end of the first half against Dallas, when there's 25 seconds left, and we have no time-outs.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_05]: The fact that LaFlor thinks that we're going to drive 45 yards into field goal range is acidine.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_05]: And then when love gets strip-sact, it's like, what the hell did you expect to happen?
- 27:55[SPEAKER_05]: And then you mentioned the challenges too.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it was shaking under McCarthy.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_05]: I would venture a guess that LaFlor's even worse at challenge.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it has to be.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_05]: He has to be.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_05]: That is something.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_05]: that's something I will never understand.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, do we, is he just going based off of emotion or what he wants to have had to happen?
- 28:14[SPEAKER_05]: How is there not somebody in his ear saying, no, put the red flag away.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_05]: That's a stupid challenge, man.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_05]: You're going to lose a time out.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_05]: You're going to lose a time out, but there's a challenge flag away.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_05]: So where's Jordi to pick up the challenge flag and stuff it down?
- 28:28[SPEAKER_05]: It's like he did that one time.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and that's a good point too because Matt talked about it last year because he was asked about it and he said it's his gut It was a good point of the season where like I think we won the games even though he had bad challenges and he's Exxponding he's like, yeah, I just go with my gut But at the same time, it's like we have Connor Lewis who is the big NFL the Analytics guy and now he's also the assistant quarterback coaching stuff and I believe he's on the sideline now when he used to be up in the booth
- 28:58[SPEAKER_04]: And he wonder how much that has changed things as well for just a managing side and their viewing challenge side because I know that's what it was early on.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know how many years he's been on the sideline now, but I don't know just something something else to think about.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_04]: It shouldn't be this hard just to manage a football game.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, no head coach is perfect.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, there are a lot of head coaches that scrub clock management every single week in the NFL and we just don't see it because we're Packers fans.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_05]: Again, I just don't understand how you don't have somebody in his ear going, you know what, let's just take this to half.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_05]: Let's just we've got the lead on the road.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_05]: We haven't had a great first half.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_05]: Let's just go into the locker room.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and I, I mean, I didn't hate the end of the first half, like a lot of other fans did for the Cowboys game, because if you remember two a couple plays before love barely missed Romeo, unlike a 30 yard completion, which would have put us in fuel garage.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_04]: So I think after that, we were just kind of chasing.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously after the fall started or whatever it was to go back, we probably should have sat on the ball, but the end the last minute and a half of that Cowboys game in OT might have been like the most embarrassed I've been being a packer fan of what like.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_04]: actively upset with what I was seeing on screen outside of like you know the 2014 NFC championship game Moving on to just our predictions for what we had at the season.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_04]: I had the team going 12 and 5 and playing in the NFC championship game Todd you had the same thing Billy you had us going 11 and 6.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_04]: I do any of us Have any changes to make?
- 30:29[SPEAKER_04]: I am standing.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm standing on what I had predicted at the beginning.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'll hold
- 30:35[SPEAKER_04]: same.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm not going to change very good.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_04]: Well with that, we will have a quick commercial break and then the fat fucked draft.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_04]: And we are back for the draft.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_04]: Before we started recording on the podcast stuff, we did rock paper scissors.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_04]: Todd is going to go first.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_04]: Billy is going second and I will go third.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to snake it so I will have two in a row and yeah,
- 31:03[SPEAKER_04]: Again, this is a big boy, pack your draft, players, coaches, fans, whatever, you know, we're gonna get a little goofy with it.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_04]: We all have our big boards.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_04]: We're each picking four, overweight, obese, chunky, pack your people, Todd, go ahead.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_03]: I have 21 options.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: I just you were bragging at the beginning about how many you had, so I just had to let me feed up a little bit of your line.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_03]: I have 21.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so this is a tough one.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_03]: Getting the first pick almost is like harder because at least like if you're second or third, like there's at least one or two off the board, right, and then it like narrows it down, and gives you some gimmies, right?
- 31:46[SPEAKER_03]: This one's tough.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go with I had.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_03]: I had Eddie Lacy as my number one.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_03]: Everyone probably had that right kind of has to be.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_03]: But there's some other, when you go look at it, there's some other really goes.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_03]: But Eddie Lacy nicknamed for a while, I believe ESPN coined the term feast mode.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_03]: After they made fun of him, they call them fat.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_03]: And then he had that big game against, who was it?
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: Was it against Dallas, we had that big game?
- 32:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a lot of big games.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's like the best per rush runner just about just to watch because it didn't make sense Hands down like my favorite like he's most fun running back to watch ever
- 32:29[SPEAKER_03]: as far as like packers running back like just like you just like every time you got the ball and he's this big boy who could run you over but he also like whip out the spin move on a screen pass and just like he'd spin around a d-back that he could have gobbled up for lunch and hey he and i have something coming big fans of china food i love china food i had china food tonight it's amazing like i can sympathize we're both hefty boys so that's my guy anyway so
- 32:58[SPEAKER_04]: It's also funny, he would always tweet China food, usually we call it Chinese food, but he coined China food, which is the best.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_04]: So obviously he struggled with his weight.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_04]: I had a couple notes on this one, so his last year with the team I believe was 2016.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_04]: Going into the 2015 season MacArthur was asked about he said I'm not going to get into a guy's weight I mean, I've never been asked a question about a guy's weight, but I think players do get bigger in their career But he's bigger than he was as a rookie after that same season MacArthur said he's got a lot of work to do his off season last year was not good enough He never recovered from it.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_04]: He cannot play at the weight he played at this year and that was kind of the beginning of the end for Eddie Lacy
- 33:44[SPEAKER_04]: McCarthy did apparently later say that he regretted saying that because that I probably demoralized, Lacy a little bit more, I think he regretted it, but it's like the truth.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like he did need to get his way down to be effective.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_03]: To stay in the league longer, he needed to get his way down to become.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's the unfortunate, like sure.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: And Lacey was a weird guy because he doesn't like football, you know, he, he barely made like a lot of guys made a lot more money than Eddie Lacey never got like a good second contract.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_04]: He signed with the Seahawks after that, which was kind of funny too because, um, yeah.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_04]: His contract was funny with Seattle like at the beginning of the off season.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_04]: He got out there was wake He got a $500,000 bonus because he was under 255 pounds and then August 1st He had to be under 250 and then after that month to month he had to be under 245 pounds throughout the season And it was funny because I did I did fat fuck research for for this draft peak Carol He had this to say
- 34:48[SPEAKER_04]: I assume it was during training camp.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_04]: He looks awesome.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_04]: He looks great.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_04]: He's huge and he's going to keep playing huge.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_04]: He did a fantastic job.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_04]: He's done everything we've asked him to do.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_04]: And that I believe that was the last year that Eddie Lacy played in the league.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_04]: But, uh,
- 35:03[SPEAKER_04]: Probably the consensus number one overall pick for the Packers.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, big boy draft, so solid pick there.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_04]: I love those big boys.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_05]: How does Eddie Lacy's height and weight compare to like, Derek Henry's?
- 35:16[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, Derek Henry is, I mean, I'm not comparing Eddie Lacy to Derek Henry, but I'm saying they have very similar running styles where Henry is just like a freight train in the open field.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_05]: And Lacy was kind of the same way, like he was looking to run you over, but he could also throw that spin move on, yeah.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: 511 and Derek Henry's got to be way taller.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_04]: So, 511, he was 231 coming out of Alabama, and then there was reports from the journal Sentinel that when he was going to free agency visits, he was 267.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so Derek Henry is six three G two forty seven.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but we don't like he those weights after right the draft you just never know what those weights actually are because when I looked up just a second ago I looked up anyway see his weight and he looks like at what 230 or whatever he was the combine like a trim right to 30 he you can see his abs
- 36:16[SPEAKER_05]: It's I running the like which is wild to think I just remember that I just remember that one training camp photo Where he's like spinning or whatever and like it was it was a terrible photo, but the way that it blew up It was I think it was when people kind of realized like uh-oh
- 36:35[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that was such a bad angle and he went on to have one of his better years that season.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_04]: But it was like his thigh was like side view and then just the turn of like his whole stomach and all that.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, Lacey and absolute legend, Billy, what is your first pick?
- 36:55[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, this was actually the number one pick on my board, and I think this is more than a nostalgia factor.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_05]: So go back to the mid to late 90s who was clogging up the middle of that defensive line.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_05]: Big number 93 the big belly on him the dark visor He had a great nickname and the sack dance or the the celebration after a run stuff to go with it.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_05]: I mean It's got to be Gilbert Brown.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_05]: I mean that you want to talk about big boys He came over from Minnesota after they caught it.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_05]: I think he was like 390 or something
- 37:33[SPEAKER_05]: And Mike Holmgren and staff managed to get him down to about 365, I feel like, and even then the program might have been a little bit generous on game days for Big Gilbert Brown, but man, oh man, just watching him come out of a pile and do his grave digger sack dance, just it would fire up Lambo, it was so much fun.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know what I wrote next to Gilbert Brown?
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: You might be thinking, Grave Digger?
- 38:01[SPEAKER_03]: It was not, it was cool visor.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I wrote.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_05]: The black visor just adds to the whole mistake, right?
- 38:08[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you can't be Grave Digger and have this tiny little pansy face mask without a visor.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you have to have the big, big grill.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_05]: You have to have the thick visor.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I don't want to see the man behind the face mask.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_03]: If you've ever created a player in Madden, they get a dark vice or a reflective, they get a visor of some sort, as you cannot see their eyes.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_04]: he was my number two overall on my big board to six two three four day I think you might have listed his weight I had a couple notes one very smart go-t he always had like a go-t and that was great to like shape his face so he didn't look as fat you know it you can pick your jawline by having a go-t where then of your chin is
- 38:53[SPEAKER_04]: Also, and I had found this on eBay before because I always looked from memorabilia, but he used to have his own burger at Burger King for a couple seasons called the Let's see what was it was the aka the graved.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so he's the grave digger obviously and it was the I see was the grave digger burger
- 39:12[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, it was the it was the Gilbert burger.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_04]: It was a wiper because he would go to Burger King and he had his own specific order It was a double wiper with extra everything cut in half with extra cheese.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_04]: No pickle.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_04]: So there was the burger King don't want too many veggies on there now
- 39:31[SPEAKER_04]: It was the Burger King on O'Nighta that he went to and after the packers won the Super Bowl, the chain made Brown's order available statewide.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_04]: They had it for two years and that was it.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_04]: Allegedly it's still on a secret menu.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_04]: I doubt you can actually go up there and do it, but he had an actual cheeseburger at Burger King.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_04]: So again, that's a great little factoid for a fat fuck.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody go try and order that.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_03]: Just say it and see what the 16 year old working the
- 39:59[SPEAKER_04]: Drive through sets that you couldn't green bay a bet the one I know night I they would probably get it at least was it still bad times it's a good question That's a very good question.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know I would think bird kings always linger even if you've never see Anyone at the drive well until they're torn down and they're gone forever because they're like gone They're they don't exist.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_04]: No, they I feel like every burger king looks like all the one Superior's still there they even made it look really nice
- 40:30[SPEAKER_04]: except for bars okay I'm up those are kind of the clear cut top two now you kind of go into you know we got some different picks here I don't know if I want to keep some guys away from Billy I mean we're doing snake you said we're doing snake so I'm going twice a year oh I'm
- 40:48[SPEAKER_04]: I'll go with the least fan favorite between them here.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go with Howard Green, 346 to obviously, you know, we picked him up after the jets cut him.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_04]: I think the following week, we played them and he played in that game.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_04]: He had a solid game.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, everyone remembers the Super Bowl where he hit Ben Roth, this burger, causing the ball to flutter up in the air in Nick Collins, picks it off and returns it.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_04]: When we picked him up on waivers, he was asked, this was a little facto of it here.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_04]: Green disputed the notion that he was released because of his weight, although he admitted it may have been a factor.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_04]: So it just kind of lets you know that year two, it was the first year of the blue throwback jerseys and the packers back when they, you know, like it fans a little bit more, they would, they sold the jerseys afterwards and they all were like price.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_04]: I got, I don't remember.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_04]: I think,
- 41:44[SPEAKER_04]: You know, there was a range for all of them, but you could buy his and I still remember looking at the picture and it was just like a fucking table cloth because he was such a big dude.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_04]: Like he was probably the widest packer that I can remember seeing or actually playing for a lot for a decent period of time.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_04]: He was with the team for two years, but uh, Howard Green, yeah, that is my third, third overall pick.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, the next one out to you again, right?
- 42:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_04]: So it's me again.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_04]: I'm between two guys here.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_04]: I think I can get my number four When it comes back to me.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna risk it because I got to go with BJ Raji six two three thirty eight Teach me how to Raji.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I don't know There's someone else on here who's got one two you got
- 42:29[SPEAKER_04]: You got just a fat face gigantic face big belly.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_04]: I mean the the iconic touchdown in an NFC championship game It's so funny because he runs it in pushes the ball forward and he almost like doesn't even care that the bear is defender like knocked the ball out
- 42:46[SPEAKER_04]: kind of close to the goal line and then he just immediately starts doing his little dance, jiggling around, he was in the commercials with state farm with Aaron Rogers, disappeared off the, you know, face of the earth a couple years after that, but B.J.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_04]: Raji, I mean, probably as far as like the actual big, big guys probably the most, um, I don't know, fan favorite of that bunch.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_05]: He had the personality to match that that body type too, like just the commercials that he was in and the dances and I I remember him being miced up and like I think it was the NFC championship or the divisionals against Atlanta.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_05]: Just some of the comments that he's making on the bench to the other defensive players and deroggers.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_05]: It's like he was really a beloved part of that team.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_04]: And again, it's odd how he just disappeared to you talking about his personality.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_04]: Like I haven't heard anything about him since he left the team and retired early.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't maybe help pop up.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_03]: I hope to see him one day just like walking in the stream.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: VJ.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, say.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_03]: That would be so fun.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_04]: What if he just lost a bunch of weight so like no one recognizes it would never recognize it.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_03]: Because you wouldn't know what his face looks like.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_03]: It would be different.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_04]: Big draft class with him and Clay Matthews back to back that kind of solidified us as a Super Bowl.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, going after the Super Bowl after we went 2009, 2009, yeah, as when we drafted him.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_04]: So who's a Billy?
- 44:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Billy, you're a Billy.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, my next pick is one of my favorite interior defensive linements from the 2010s.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_05]: I'll say Mike Daniels out of Iowa, former high school wrestler.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_05]: He was kind of on the shorter side, but he still had some gyrthum, just the mean streak that he brought to the middle of that defensive line.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_05]: And I mean, he was able to push the pile
- 44:43[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like kind of that timeframe.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_05]: He was the guy that set the attitude on defense.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_05]: We didn't really have that mean linebacker, that enforcer, you know, over the middle or in the back.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_05]: And like it kind of felt like he was the guy that set the tone.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_04]: He didn't set the attitude.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_04]: He was the attitude of that.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_03]: He was the only attitude on that.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_03]: Especially in those days.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_04]: six foot 320.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he he's the defensive version of Eddie Lacey where he was just like a bowling ball out there like you see You got like his Instagram account to you.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_04]: I was kind of doing some research yesterday and we're very very important and he does like yoga and stuff, but the sheep of his body
- 45:27[SPEAKER_04]: is just so strange like he shouldn't be that wide and like flexible and quick like the way he was because he came out of the same draft class as a journal where the he was a second round pick.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_04]: Mike Daniels was a fifth or fourth or fifth I want to say fourth rounder.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_04]: But it was funny because I think someone asked Ellie Wolf before it's like, oh, you know, Gerald worthy.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_04]: He really wasn't, you know, a very good pick and it was like, yeah, well, the next best defensive tackle out of the draft.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_04]: We drafted and that was my Daniel.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_04]: So it's like, they didn't really see that as much of a failure.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, he was one of my favorite Packers on defense for just on the team at that time when he was around.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_03]: do love me some Mike Daniels he was like the only guy that played with any passion on that defensive unit essentially the entire unit I just I was a safe front seven or D line but it's like the whole team so yeah he was that's a good Martin has to not appreciate him because of it all right Todd what is your pick
- 46:25[SPEAKER_03]: I cannot, I'm, I'm so thankful that we got back to me, uh, Mike McCarthy.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was like, I was just holding on, it like every pick that wasn't Mike McCarthy, makes me so happy.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_03]: Mike McCarthy has got to be one of the best, like,
- 46:41[SPEAKER_03]: The best non player hands down.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_03]: So for me, it's like Mike McCarthy.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_03]: We got a street named after him.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_03]: He's a big boy.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know his food a choice It feels like he feels like he could be a burger guy.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_05]: He's from Pittsburgh.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_05]: He's blue collar.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's definitely like a burger.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah
- 46:59[SPEAKER_03]: or like a flank steak like he's like he's like I don't want the tea bone give me a flank steak which is like isn't that the one that they hit with a hammer?
- 47:07[SPEAKER_03]: couldn't have done this.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_03]: It's such a bad kind of meat they have to beat it with a hammer to make it tender.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_03]: No, I mean Super Bowl coach, he's seemingly like, just gets like a little bit bigger every year, which I can like sympathize with, like start it out, just like a little hefty, you know, big boy from Pittsburgh, Titan, right?
- 47:28[SPEAKER_03]: He's a Titan, was he?
- 47:29[SPEAKER_04]: Titan coach for sure, yeah, and then I believe he was a Titan too, but he was a Titan coach, so he started the jump.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: just like the burgers creep up on you the massage is creep up on you you start getting a little bit soft you know you still be a good football guy you can be like that's one of the things like info ball you almost there's an article out there when I was doing my research it's like is it helpful to be fat like does that propel you to a super ball?
- 47:55[SPEAKER_03]: maybe we don't know any read.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_03]: You got other guys like this isn't gonna help my case, but I'm thinking of like Rex Ryan was a big boy like there's There's a lot of there's a lot of talented coaches out there that like to chow down the calories, so I don't know I'm I'm super thankful Mike made it I feel like this just like propels my draft
- 48:16[SPEAKER_03]: above both of yours, what getting a coach on there?
- 48:19[SPEAKER_05]: What were your favorite McCarthyisms, or quote from a press conference that he ever had?
- 48:26[SPEAKER_05]: He had some really memorable ones.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_03]: Two that come to mind, so the first thing that comes to mind is
- 48:33[SPEAKER_03]: And this is, like, from a press conference, but it's when he smashed the watermelon in what was the cowboys game?
- 48:42[SPEAKER_03]: Well, he was the cowboys colon.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_03]: Not our coach.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_03]: So not even when he was with us, but the smashing the watermelon.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_03]: The one from a press conference was when they asked McCarthy about the trade deadline.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, what was the trade deadline this week?
- 48:56[SPEAKER_03]: And they're like, yeah, he's like, that's how it is here.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_03]: like what's it like if the trade deadline around the Packers facility he's like oh is that this week yeah it was this week he's like yeah that's what it's like so that was that's my favorite McCarthyism do you guys have any good blood level he always brought up pad level that's what they had to fix he's a highly successful football coach it was one of his quotes during one of the bad years
- 49:22[SPEAKER_04]: My favorite, which I don't know if people are as aware of this one, but I think it was his last year as the coach, maybe the second last year and they asked him how, you know, how he felt with the season because it was, you know, not going well.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_04]: He's like, I wake up every day and I get to be the head coach at Green Bay Packers.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I can't complain about anything and I'm like,
- 49:39[SPEAKER_04]: This is this is my guy like I love Matt will floor, but he hasn't come close to like being Coach the way Mike McCarthy was like he blad green bay like some guys can't like Matt will for it It's just he was he was one of my favorites
- 49:56[SPEAKER_05]: Honorable mention for me and this isn't really a quote.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_05]: This is just him responding to Jason Weldy and a press conference, but it was like that's a polluted mindset Jason like it's just a perfect like shut down like what in the world is going through your mind.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_05]: Why are you even thinking that?
- 50:13[SPEAKER_04]: I thought you were going to say after the fail Mary and Seattle, Jason asked a question I forgot what it was and Mike McCarthy's response was, I'm not in the mood for drama tonight, Jason.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_05]: I also appreciated his quote, I think it was the year.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if it was the year we went to the Super Bowl, but it was something along the lines of, we got our hand on the wheel, our foot on the gas, and our, our, our, out the window, or something like that.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even remember what it was, but I feel like I remember our about the window.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_05]: It just exploded this, this confidence.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_05]: Like, yeah, we know we're in control.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_05]: We know we're going to kick your ass and just completely relaxed about it, too.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_05]: Like,
- 50:56[SPEAKER_04]: Probably the biggest transformation on this list too, you know, Eddie gained some weight, but McCarthy came in with like a dad bod and he left with like Overweight and he even, you know, he got so big that he grew a second one of him an Alex fempelt who remember that screenshot Where he's next to where they both had the same like brave beer and the headset on in the same hat, so he's yeah
- 51:18[SPEAKER_03]: And people think people for a while remember that like the talking heads at one point They like showed a picture of what they thought was MacArthur.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was outspend-pelt It was like that's not him.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you guys are paying attention They're like yeah, MacArthur and Rogers like that's that's fend-pelt Do I get to go again?
- 51:37[SPEAKER_03]: This is like Christmas.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so this is a tough one because there's a lot on the but this is like now where I'm at the point two or Spencer was that where you're like
- 51:44[SPEAKER_03]: where do I go with this um but i got a like my guy johnny jolly has to be a good purple drink purple drink uh for those of you who don't know which year living under a rock he got in trouble for selling prescription cough syrup
- 52:01[SPEAKER_03]: to make purple drink in Houston back in like, what was that, like, that was 2008 and there's something, uh, 2008.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe he wasn't suspended that Super Bowl year.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_04]: He was, no, because he on that ESPN piece, he talked about crying in a hotel room high on coding, watching his team win the Super Bowl.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_05]: But he came back after that your long suspension.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, 2014 he was on the team.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_03]: So he comes back after getting out of prison and going to play for the Packers.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_03]: Like what a, like what a, as far as like,
- 52:38[SPEAKER_03]: stories that are not like you can't have it be like a Cinderella story because he didn't go to prison for selling coden so like it's not going to make the publicity but like how good is that that you can go to prison for a couple years come back make the team again and play like that's actually a pretty cool story so it was shut up to Johnny Jolly.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_04]: one of the uh... what made twenty fourteen even worse that claps i wanted not like he really earned it per se i mean he did like who knows if he's a good guy but it's like he went to but i think about that like stay in shape and prison i mean that's got to be impossible what are you gonna do in prison what do you mean fair fair point you were gonna crack when you said that and then i was like oh wait no i'm here here's my thing
- 53:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, okay fine fair all you can all you have time to do is work out.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know whatever, but like you don't have like any coaches.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_03]: There's no like nobody's helping you do anything.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_03]: You're eating.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what they eat for lunch.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's probably not like
- 53:38[SPEAKER_03]: That good or that like protein filled, you know, and they probably don't have any where to like run around and that they just like do they get weights?
- 53:45[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how this works.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_03]: Like when you say you haven't been to prison before, Todd.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_03]: Literally all I know about prison is like what it looks like from the longest yard.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: And I get I bet that's not what it looks like.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_03]: If I had to guess my guess is that that's not what I just like.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_04]: I like that you said like you get to like run around like.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think you do get to run around.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_03]: They don't have places to show us.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_03]: Have you seen those shows where they put... Some people fall into here.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, no, not that.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_03]: That's funny too.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_03]: But when they put the mic up people, they're like secretly like miced up in the facility with like actual... This is a real thing.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_03]: Anyways.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_03]: There's like no word to work out.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_03]: They don't have like wait since they don't have like anything fun to do They're just like fighting each other in their cells.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_04]: I I'd like back to Johnny Jolly.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_04]: I do want to play this.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_04]: This is one of my no, this is about Johnny Jolly This is like a packer alumni interview from a couple years ago that I love this is him talking to Wayne Larvey Yeah, I was drinking it too because I liked the way it tastes
- 54:50[SPEAKER_04]: So Johnny Jolly who had addiction issues told Wayne Lairve in like 20, 20, 20, 19 that he, he just drank it because he liked the taste.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_04]: It wasn't because of, you know, he got high from it.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_04]: He just really liked the taste.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_04]: But yes, Johnny Jolly and other Packers, Legend Winna.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_04]: Todd, when you got married, I remember seeing on Instagram, we were in like Mexico and he was like 10 miles away at a resort.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, oh, that's right.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_03]: It's like kind of, we should have gone.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_04]: Just watch Johnny Jolly.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_03]: I love his Instagram is gonna be like, hey, can you come to my wedding?
- 55:25[SPEAKER_04]: Please officiate it.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_03]: I'd give my wife away to me.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_04]: That would be yeah, the what a moment that would be.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it would be unforgettable.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_05]: Billy you're up.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_05]: My next one, so kind of the same time frame as Mike Daniels was the enforcer and the defensive line.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_05]: My next pick was kind of the enforcer and the offensive line that is Josh Sutton.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_05]: Mid to late round pick, he had the long hair feathered coming out of the back of his helmet like you could always pick him out.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_05]: And he was always like the first one to come defend Rogers when he took a late hit or maybe a hit that was deemed a little bit dirty and I remember there were more than a few occasions where the play is, you know, kind of stood up there on a backs kind of in a pile and here comes sitting to clean the pile off at the end of the play in the shadow of the whistle.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_05]: I always loved the way that he played to.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_05]: Really, really good player.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_04]: A couple of fun facts about him.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_04]: One, they've said this a couple of times on Willie and Tauche.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_04]: How he paid off Bob McGin to give him good ratings in the paper.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_04]: He would do like, I think it was four footballs or out of like five footballs.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_04]: Like he paid.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yes.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_04]: Bob McGin took money allegedly, allegedly.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_04]: Took money from Josh Sitten so that he always got good grade.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_04]: That's paper where
- 56:49[SPEAKER_04]: Taush, Bob Taush, Bologna, will the, I don't remember but they've all kind of hinted at it numerous.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_04]: The Loga set it?
- 56:56[SPEAKER_04]: I believe so.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_04]: He chuckled and tried not to, Taush, you might have been the one who brought it up.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_04]: They interviewed, sitting before in the past and I don't remember exactly what he said.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_04]: He's one of the guys who came up with the phrase where that's insane, playing, like, you know, switching on the offensive, on the offensive line from left right is like wiping your ass with your opposite hand.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_04]: That's part of the quote, apparently the whole quote is, you know, it's not pretty, you might get dirty, but it gets the job done is how that quote ends.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_04]: He was also briefly a big and tall male model.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_04]: So that once again tells you that he's a big boy.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_03]: I think I remember that him being like was it like what's that there's like a store that I think it's like I think it's called it was I could be wrong, but I think something like that that was a different name maybe but pay off to get the newspaper guy
- 57:52[SPEAKER_03]: To give you good grades.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_03]: I don't it was a bobby get the newspaper guy.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, journal Sentinel.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_04]: He at the time he was one of the more reputable journalists.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_04]: It's kind of fallen apart.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_04]: He got his credentials revoked in like 2017 2018.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_04]: I want to say, but I don't even blame sitting for that.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_04]: I blame Bob McGinn for taking this because sitting.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it probably helped his career.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, who's kind of a perennial.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I play and I'm sure a lot of people talk.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_04]: took Bob McGin's, you know, ratings as gold.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_04]: So, I don't, I mean, how much the return on investment for that on Sitten and it's not illegal, it's like.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you could do, you could do worse things.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_05]: Pretty frowned about it, based on what I know about Bob McGinn, like that isn't terribly surprising, but I wanna know how that conversation even starts.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_05]: Like it's just sitting at the locker with Josh sitting in Josh's like, Hey, Bob, you know that article, you're gonna be right in here in a couple of weeks about the end of the season.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_05]: If I gave you a couple of something, something's under the table, you're gonna forget about my poor performance against a trait last week
- 58:56[SPEAKER_03]: What's it going to take can I can I rewrite that it's a Bob approaches Josh and says hey I was going to give you a pretty shitty grade here because you gave up a couple sacks but you grease the wheels I'll make that go away and then it's just a relationship from there on out.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_03]: That's on the same.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm put the blame on Bob.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_04]: I hope if I had to guess I would say sit and was like, hey, if I get if I gave you some like sarcastically like if I got off would you take would you give me some good grades like I feel like that's how what have gone but who knows Bob would have been like well wait how much are we talking like right get give me a call tonight let's talk.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_04]: uh... very good that's good as well to it seems like it seems like that's why he was a surprise cut back in twenty sixteen or whatever was like he was always just kind of a pain in the ass and like talk back to coaches and shit that's that's what i've been from yes that's what you want from your guards
- 59:51[SPEAKER_03]: You want your guards to be dickheads.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_03]: True.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_03]: And he was good.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, I am up next.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_04]: My third pick.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_04]: This was a guy.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_04]: It was one of those where, uh, little tickle in my brain when I rediscovered him.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going with Grady Jackson.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you faster.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_04]: He was big.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_04]: Six foot, three, forty, five.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_04]: You look at pictures of him.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_04]: He got big, big gap in his teeth.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_04]: Silver tooth as well.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_04]: I just remember it.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_04]: It got like 2004, 2005 is when he was on the team and kind of known one of those big guys in the middle.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_04]: Not going to tip any picks for who might have been playing next to him and stuff.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_04]: But I just remember him being big.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_04]: I was doing searches doing my research on this.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_04]: This is part of his Rick Wikipedia with the Packers.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_04]: I just love this.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_04]: Jackson was represented by Agent Drew Rosenhaus before the 2005 NFL season.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_04]: Jackson said he would hold out of training camp in order to secure a new contract with the Packers.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_04]: However, he reported for training camp on the first day.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_04]: Several days later, however, Jackson told reporters he no longer felt wanted in the Packers organization and requested to be released or traded to another team.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_04]: But later, retracted those statements and played out the 2005 season without a new contract.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_04]: Twice in a couple weeks.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_04]: He tried to hold out and he was like, yeah, fuck it.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_04]: I'll just play.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he bluffed.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_04]: He's got big old fat face up there with B. J. Rajee Again very early 2000s or mid 2000s.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_04]: God would number was he 90 No, what's he?
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_04]: I was he in the 70s.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_04]: I can't even remember 75.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_04]: I think he was 99
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_04]: I'll look that up or maybe Todd you should cuz I got a pick after this, but looks like 79.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah silver tooth.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_05]: I mean just 75 he was 75.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, but he looks like a Cagin like drug lord or something when you look at the picture with him just big old fat face gap and his tooth silver tooth on the side to just quite the quite the look on him.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_04]: My next pick, my last pick, got to give you guys go another round.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I can.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_04]: We'll do five each of them.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_04]: Um, so I'm going to go and my last two are probably would have gone undrafted.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm going to go with Cubbuck.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_04]: Cubbuck was a player in the night.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_04]: What a what a what a nice.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_04]: He was when I went to the Packers Hall Hall of Fame for the first time when they kind of read did it up.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_04]: God, I don't know a few years ago.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_04]: but there's like kind of a cutout of him too and again this this is the 20's and that's a thing when you google him you probably see the goofy picture he's got like a baby face shit grin he's a little chubby but for the 20's he was gigantic he was six three two hundred and eighty nine pounds he played for the packers from twenty twenty one to twenty five whoa wait i'm looking at this right now it says six foot two sixty
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_03]: He grow three inches.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_04]: I'm looking at a different cutout that I have right here.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_04]: I just have a look at the Packers website This is so I'll I'll say what I have cut out here.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe it changed a couple times as it was 1921 to 1925 inducting the Hall of Fame in 1976.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_04]: This is the little excerpt of him
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_04]: One of Pro Football's first big men, topping the scales at almost 300 pounds, cubs towered over opposing Lyman and was a tear to opposing Balkirus throughout the league.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_04]: After a glorious college career, cubs joined the legendary Jim Thorpe and the Canton Bulldogs for two seasons before being signed by the Packers in 1921, hard hitting with a phenomenal desire to win whatever cubs was instrumental in helping establish the Packers as a league power.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_04]: He might have been like the first free agent signing before Reggie White because it was back in the day where shit wasn't organized.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_04]: It was a big deal that they signed him and he got 75 dollars a game to play for the Packers.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_04]: But just Google him or whatever, look, I'll probably have some graphic out there for Cubbuck.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_04]: Just a goofy-looking guy.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_04]: He looks like when you think of like cartoon henchmen and there's usually like a shorter skinny guy Like talk shit and then you got a big dumb one.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_04]: He has penguins You got a big dumb one who's the kind of numb mumbles with a baby face That's what he looks like.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_03]: Looked like you're talking Howard cub a buck, right?
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_03]: I assume so.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yes
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so on the Packers website, there's some misinformation going on here.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_03]: Said he's six foot, 259, later on the article, it says he is 280, it says a mammoth tackle who weighed upwards of 280 pounds buck was strong agile, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_03]: But then it also says you said $75 game it says $100 from curly, curly, Lambo signed buck for this sensational price of $100 per game.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see what else I don't know.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_03]: This is just from from an article from the Packers, but yeah, it's funny.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_03]: The picture like you described is like,
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_03]: he has like the shitting grill but like kind of like dark eyes where you're like this guy's like a little he's like you've got a comb over going on too like he combed his hair before that picture but he's kind of got like what would be like an in style like haircut like right now don't you think like when you look at that haircut it's actually like oh that's kind of a
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_04]: You don't have to be like, we're, you, and it was one of the few pictures I took in the Packers Hall thing like I started laughing when I saw them and then I just took a picture of it, but yeah, come buck my third pick my, uh, what was I going to do here.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, that was by that's the turnaround.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so belly or as your fourth.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_05]: So I thought you were going to steal my next pick, Spencer, when you started talking about Grady Jackson, so I'm glad that you did not.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_05]: My next one is Ryan Pickett.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_05]: I remember when we signed him in 2006 from the Realms, like that was in the height of Ted Thompson does not sign free agents.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_05]: And I think that was the same class that we brought in Charles Woodson, wasn't it?
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_05]: that it was if it wasn't it was back to back years yeah so that was kind of a turning point and pick it I mean we got on a deal and he ended up playing for us for let's see eight years so we got a ton of value out of the dude and perhaps I mean he he does not get credit for perhaps the most famous miced up quotes in Packers history but spill it pick it in Super Bowl 45 like spill it
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_04]: 62340 his nickname to big part of him being big was a big grease his final I remember this to it in like 2012 or I forgot what it was but one of his final years with the packers Bob McGin reported again shady Bob McGin reported that he showed up overweight
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_04]: during training camp pick it actually said that he lost 10 pounds during the off season eating health because his wife made them and other reporters said that he did slim down.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't know.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know there, but yeah, he was a big guy.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_04]: He played at like until it was like 33, 34.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_04]: So for a big guy, he did last a while in the NFL as well.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_04]: Todd, what is your second to last pick?
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_03]: This is getting tough here.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so we're looking at fat fat packers.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go with Dayton Jones for it is my fat packer.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_03]: That's pretty good for the round pick.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's a good one.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_03]: So if anybody, if you guys ever seen, if you're going to see world, and you see the big white
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_03]: He's a derive he's derived directly from his forehead derives directly from those wells if you've ever seen the picture of Dayton Jones He's got just this massive like bulb on his forehead.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what else to call it.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a dome on his dome He's got a you know it is you know, it is it's like it's to pick up the son arm from like you make like a click underneath That's like but reversed it goes out instead of in
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_05]: I was going to say, I was going to say it's not a guardian cap, it's a guardian skull.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, like this is for attacking.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like the the thing of the front of his head is for attacking.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, like this is one, it's there's a lot of guys out there, but I just felt like Dayton Jones, like when you think of something fat, like do you think of Dayton Jones head?
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_03]: Some people do.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_03]: Um, side note, anybody remember his Twitter handle?
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_04]: Dayton said a.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_03]: to tone center.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_03]: I was super excited about Dayton Jones.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_03]: He had like the measurables.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it's jerseys.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_04]: I've got his jerseys somewhere.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_03]: Wasn't he one of the guys that had like the measurables of like clay Matthew Scott or something?
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he was not clay Matthew.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_04]: He's played plays pretty small, but Dayton was a big dude.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_03]: I just remember like something about it and he was comparable to like somebody that was like a absolute freak and you're like, how is that even possible?
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_03]: And then it turns out, oh, actually,
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_03]: He is not that good at the game of football.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_03]: So, okay, but Apex forehead.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess we'll again, one more time.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_03]: You said you were ready.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say, let Troy Guyon is my next, probably two way players, can you think of, I have let Troy Guyon specifically as my right tackle.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_03]: Was that what he played?
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he played right guard.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_03]: Did you regate?
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I wrote down right tackle.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_03]: It could be wrong as an offensive line.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_03]: We're just into the bag here of a million other guys So I'm also ready We should do honorable mention at the end because I have a million other ones I want to talk about so
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_05]: So my next one, I'm going to go back into the memory bank a little bit, back into the, the, the, the Brett far of Super Bowl air, I should say I'm going with center Frank winters, mostly just because, I mean, John Madden love the dude.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_05]: I remember growing up in John Man would always call him Frankie Bagodonats.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know why, but just John Man calling our center Frankie Bagodonats was just, that was my childhood.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_05]: And then the fact that he's from Hoboken, New Jersey, and he has a Jersey accent through and through.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_05]: He's the perfect big guy on your offensive line.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_04]: solid pick i didn't even have him written down especially with that nickname it's a very good pick so the last one that i'm going to pick he definitely would have been available or had gone undrafted but i'm like Ted Thompson or goody and i'll i'll find some a good one here with my last pick
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going with that one Packer fan when you Google Packer fans.
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_04]: He probably probably was like the paper Michelle.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_04]: But if you do Packer fan, he will always pop up.
- 1:11:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_04]: That dude popped up on the scene.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_04]: He's like a comet, right?
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_04]: Where he maybe he only pops up once every 100 years or so.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_04]: But when he
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_04]: Bus Haley busted onto the scene.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_04]: He made his mark as he has not left the internet since then anytime you do some type of search for goop for a packer fans Big shirtless guy like you said it's it's like it's like a What do you hit with he made the helmet at home?
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's like a piniatta helmet He's got stickers over his nipples.
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think in the picture
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, does he?
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe he does.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_04]: So just an absolute legend.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_04]: I hope he's still with us, but just he can't be erased from history.
- 1:11:52[SPEAKER_04]: You don't know him, but you do know him.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm with my last pick.
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_04]: I am Mr. irrelevant is Mr. irrelevant.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_04]: That packer fan when you search packer fans.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_03]: I like it.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good one to end on because like if anybody goes and you just search fat pack or fan that is it's like the first seven images is him.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_04]: That's what's just one like there's different angles.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_04]: It's not just the same when I was gonna say it's multiple games probably.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I don't know.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I guess you'd have to look at the stickers because he probably had new ones, but I feel like he was just under the place where the stickers you couldn't get them exactly in the same spot under Nichols.
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_03]: So we could back check it that way.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, well, I see two out of the first four have the G on his belly painted differently, so he's been to at least in different games, maybe I also appreciate you could do that at half time.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_05]: He's always got a bottle of beer in one hand.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_04]: My guy honorable mentions.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, should we do let's keep going with our draft.
- 1:12:53[SPEAKER_04]: Well, how many more do you guys have?
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_04]: I have a lot.
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_04]: Well, then let's just keep going.
- 1:12:59[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go with which one should I go with here.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go with Mark Toucher.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_04]: Mark Toucher.
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he looks out of shape, but he was always a really good tackle for us.
- 1:13:09[UNKNOWN]: 6, 3, 3, 20.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_04]: He had to have been bigger than that.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_04]: He did have a couple nicknames.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_04]: One was the pill's very doughboy.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_04]: Also Aaron Rodgers gave him a nickname of manpig, because he does a little kind of like a manpig.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_04]: He always had a kind of the long hair to the go-tee.
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_04]: He wants to kind of touch down to the Lambo leap, but it came back because someone held flanagan maybe.
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_04]: That was like a Christmas Eve game.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, Mark Talcher, Wisconsin legend.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_04]: He is my whatever pick this is.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_04]: Billy, that's a good one.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, my next, or no, you've, don't know, that was my second one.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, that was your second.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_05]: We're coming back.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, so my next one, again, one of my favorite players.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_05]: We brought him in after we won the Super Bowl to solidify the right side of our offensive line took the place of Mark Tousher.
- 1:13:58[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going with Brian Boulaga and almost purely because of the mash-up of his introductions on Sunday night football, where it's like two minutes of him saying Bram Boulaga, awa.
- 1:14:12[SPEAKER_04]: I see Brian Bologna for me.
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_04]: He didn't make the cut because I don't I don't view him as fat.
- 1:14:16[SPEAKER_04]: You know, he could almost play tight and because he's just he's that's when we went to more of the athletic tackles, you know, but either way, but he is he's he's six five three 15 according to both of your friends.
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_04]: So he's a big boy true true.
- 1:14:33[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, yes, Todd.
- 1:14:36[SPEAKER_03]: uh... kale of jones if anybody remembers kale of jones talk to one of his six-year-old actually like playing in a regular true six-nine three-seventy just purely statistical like that dude was a monster and then if you ever see the picture was just like i don't know what it's like to stand next to somebody that's epic i have seen i believe i walked
- 1:14:58[SPEAKER_03]: next to, I think, maybe I saw, trying to remember who it was.
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_03]: Who was one of our big offensive tackles prior to the log of the game?
- 1:15:07[SPEAKER_03]: Can I play with Talisher?
- 1:15:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I saw Chad Clifton.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_03]: I walked by him at Packers Family Night.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_03]: I want to.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_03]: I want to.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_03]: By him at a Packer Game of Thrones monster.
- 1:15:18[SPEAKER_03]: But then you think of like Caleb Jones a weighing him by 40 or 50 pounds.
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_03]: which is insane, like how big of a man is that.
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know, just statistically, I had Caleb Joe.
- 1:15:29[SPEAKER_04]: The other other fun fact about him is his dad owns and runs a barbecue restaurant wherever he's from down south.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_04]: So that probably played into his size as well.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he pretty much registered his first year in the league on the practice squad just to get into like football shape, but still didn't work out for him.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_03]: Did anybody pick, um, did I miss this one?
- 1:15:51[SPEAKER_03]: Did anybody pick TJ?
- 1:15:53[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, TJ.
- 1:15:54[SPEAKER_03]: I don't he shouldn't have lasted this long, but TJ laying.
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_03]: My only knock on TJ is he seems to be a diehard lion's fan.
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_03]: We play both sides.
- 1:16:04[SPEAKER_03]: Every time he tweets, but he's definitely more of a lion's fan than he is.
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_03]: He's from Michigan.
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_05]: He went to Eastern Michigan.
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_03]: I know.
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_03]: That's why.
- 1:16:12[SPEAKER_03]: He played for the Packers for so long.
- 1:16:14[SPEAKER_03]: He played like one season for the lions and it's like,
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_04]: it was like it was too well it's it's one being a fan but also he has worked for the lines after he was like a sideline or radio.
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_03]: That's normal.
- 1:16:26[SPEAKER_03]: He'd so that's sure he did do some media for them.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_03]: But that's finally knock on him.
- 1:16:31[SPEAKER_03]: He is a guy that like you could if we were doing like a beer league like he is the pick in the beer league where you could just like I was telling Spencer this the other day.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's like that's a guy.
- 1:16:41[SPEAKER_03]: that you could like he could put on the pads and 10 years and play football.
- 1:16:45[SPEAKER_03]: He's just like tough like TJ leg.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_03]: Again, you want your guards to have attitude and the assholes.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_03]: TJ leg and Josh sit in our assholes and you got to love it.
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_04]: Beerly with TJ laying a lot of I forgot who has said this, but they said he like his rookie year he almost drank himself out of the league because he didn't take it very seriously and he was like out at the bar all the
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_05]: My next one.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_05]: So big defensive tackle.
- 1:17:14[SPEAKER_05]: I got cleatious hunt from the early 2000s.
- 1:17:19[SPEAKER_05]: I don't remember this specifically, but pro football reference has two different nicknames for him.
- 1:17:26[SPEAKER_05]: Big block or nuke, which are just fantastic nicknames for a defensive tackle.
- 1:17:32[SPEAKER_05]: The other thing I remember about him is, and this is from probably 10 years ago, and I used to listen to ESPN Wisconsin when I was at work.
- 1:17:44[SPEAKER_05]: And I don't remember what it was a sound clip for or a lead into, but I feel like on an intro into one of Jason, will these shows he had a sound bite, and it was Jason saying,
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_05]: I don't have any idea for the context of that quote, but I have always remembered that.
- 1:18:04[SPEAKER_04]: That's funny.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think he had a different nickname that a radio guy like accidentally called him before, uh, Kledia sounding like a different word, which is, uh, a female body part.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, who's, let's say which one it is.
- 1:18:16[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, he was, yeah, he was a kind of a bust.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_04]: I believe he was drafted by the Packers, if not they signed him early on.
- 1:18:24[SPEAKER_04]: Um, will he said this recently or someone else that it, um, at that year, whatever it was 2003, 2004, the Packers were between Hunt and Volani holiday for who they would bring back.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_04]: They went with Hunt, they gave him a six year, 25 million dollar deal, which was pretty big at the time.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_04]: And after he got paid, he got fat and wasn't very good soon after that.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_05]: I actually found when I was looking him up to see if I could figure out, like if he had off the field issues that led to this quote from Jason Wellley, I found the article from when we recidem to that contract.
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_05]: And just a juxtaposition to the situation where it is today, but Mike Sherman was talking about how the writer made a comment in the article about how the Packers are perennially up against the salary cap and Mike Sherman talked about having to get some
- 1:19:16[SPEAKER_05]: squeeze him under and it's like, wow, that's quite a bit different from where we're at today with, and I mean, honestly, that was why Sherman ended up getting fired as GM.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_04]: The last pick of the draft, you know, it is slim pickens here.
- 1:19:32[SPEAKER_04]: I have Kevin Barry, a mid 2000s offensive lineman.
- 1:19:37[SPEAKER_04]: He was the sixth offensive lineman.
- 1:19:38[SPEAKER_04]: That was, um,
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was 2004, 2005, the Big Ammon Green Year when they would go heavy.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_04]: He would come on the field.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_04]: They called that package.
- 1:19:47[SPEAKER_04]: You were 71.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_04]: It was U-71, but it was also called the Bacon Package.
- 1:19:53[SPEAKER_04]: It was 2005.
- 1:19:54[SPEAKER_04]: You look at pictures, Google him, if we have a graphic put together, maybe you'll see it.
- 1:20:00[SPEAKER_04]: But he is another big dude.
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_04]: There's one picture of him standing next to a cop.
- 1:20:04[SPEAKER_04]: And he just looks like a super human.
- 1:20:07[SPEAKER_04]: Like he was a big guy again, a tackle, um, do I have his height and weight?
- 1:20:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, 332, 64.
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_04]: He looked even bigger than that.
- 1:20:15[SPEAKER_04]: Like he didn't even really look all that fat.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_04]: He was just a massive, massive human being.
- 1:20:20[SPEAKER_04]: So my last pick, whatever around this is.
- 1:20:23[SPEAKER_04]: Kevin Berry Man, we we draft a lot more than I thought we would other guys that I just had much do you guys have an A1 else left Jack Huffler.
- 1:20:33[SPEAKER_04]: Jack Huffler.
- 1:20:33[SPEAKER_04]: That's a good one.
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_04]: Trash canful dirt Trash canful.
- 1:20:37[SPEAKER_04]: I just had TJ Slayton, you know, he did just like the Grave Digger 2 will be playing him on Sunday Anthony Rush.
- 1:20:43[SPEAKER_04]: He was a big guy 2 only the one year.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_04]: He only played one game with us had one tackle but he was 64361
- 1:20:51[SPEAKER_04]: Aaron Banks is pretty big, Dean Lowry, pretty fat and bad, and then Tyler Landcaster too, who's just kind of like white trash trailer park Fat, where he had like the shitty tattoo.
- 1:21:02[SPEAKER_04]: Wow, wasn't very good.
- 1:21:04[SPEAKER_04]: Three and 13.
- 1:21:05[SPEAKER_04]: He also He was the guy who didn't get his block on the Blocked punt in the 2021 NFC division around game against the 14 Niners.
- 1:21:17[SPEAKER_03]: I have
- 1:21:18[SPEAKER_03]: One more, Billy, do you have another, I'll let you go.
- 1:21:21[SPEAKER_05]: I had one more honor, we'll mention, again, from the 90s, it was Earl Dotson 6-4-3-15, the late guard.
- 1:21:29[SPEAKER_04]: I learned recently that Earl Dotson and Santana Dotson are two different people.
- 1:21:33[SPEAKER_04]: One was a defensive limit, I mean, it was an offensive limit.
- 1:21:36[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, they played different positions on the Super Bowl team.
- 1:21:39[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, they did not pull the Troy Gaion back then.
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_03]: I can't, it's a special player, I can do that.
- 1:21:46[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I also had Aaron Gibson.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and I found Aaron Gibson.
- 1:21:51[SPEAKER_03]: He did not play for the Packers.
- 1:21:53[SPEAKER_03]: Ayes, Dom's going to say, and they told me, he, he, he went to Wisconsin, uh, he, but he weighed four hundred and ten pounds.
- 1:22:02[SPEAKER_03]: Apparently had a small stick with the bears and a couple of other teams, but four, if that's true, I don't know if it's true.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_03]: Again, Ayes,
- 1:22:11[SPEAKER_03]: But apparently played for with play for the badgers and weighed 410 pounds.
- 1:22:14[SPEAKER_03]: He was a baller.
- 1:22:16[SPEAKER_05]: I mean back then playing that that Barry Alvarez I formation like just run behind that dude.
- 1:22:24[SPEAKER_05]: I could have picked up a thousand yards running behind him
- 1:22:27[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I did actually find the clip from a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_04]: The Joe Berry quote one of my favorites is, again, you want them to be big, but you don't want them to be so big that they can't move.
- 1:22:39[SPEAKER_04]: So that, I think that's a good little cap on on this draft here.
- 1:22:43[SPEAKER_04]: So what do any, any more?
- 1:22:45[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 1:22:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:22:46[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you want to actually play different patterns.
- 1:22:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this one actually played for the Packers.
- 1:22:50[SPEAKER_03]: So I had Ricky Jean Francois, and I just cooled in, you know, just a cool, that's like a fun, any time that's Francois in your name.
- 1:22:59[SPEAKER_04]: We've had multiple Francois, because we had Ricky Jean Francois and Robert Francois.
- 1:23:05[SPEAKER_03]: I love it and we went to school with a friend.
- 1:23:08[SPEAKER_03]: He pushed a boulder down a hill and almost killed people, but he just destroyed some trees When he carried an entire tree was to the camera like hey sounds like a big dude
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_03]: He was this like super nice dude from actually like the Congo was that you Were scored in the Congo textbook.
- 1:23:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm nailing this from the Congo nice to sky in the world But also just like one of those guys where you're like doesn't know how strong he is and we're like we're out of this like
- 1:23:42[SPEAKER_03]: essentially like a camping trip for school is long story the but we're like hey we need to go get stuff for the fire and like friends walk comes back with an entire tree he's like oh okay that's fair yeah we'll put that in the fire that is the fire for the night all right with that Billy what is the stump's been a question for the week i am 500 for the year i've two wins like the packers
- 1:24:07[SPEAKER_05]: uh... in the packers twenty twenty one win instance and at a how many combined field goals did made uh... combined field goals and extra points in mason cross be mess just mason it's three or four i think it's i think it was five total mess kicks i'm gonna go with three
- 1:24:31[SPEAKER_05]: it was four.
- 1:24:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:24:33[SPEAKER_05]: He missed three field goals one extra point and then the Bengals kicker missed two field goals.
- 1:24:38[SPEAKER_05]: So there were six total.
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_04]: Miss kicks and I said and you know who's fault that was.
- 1:24:46[SPEAKER_04]: It was Cory Bork was the holder.
- 1:24:49[SPEAKER_04]: He was a shitty holder and an even worse punter.
- 1:24:53[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, he was a pretty good punter actually.
- 1:24:54[SPEAKER_04]: He was a good punter shit.
- 1:24:56[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's still on the league.
- 1:24:57[SPEAKER_04]: You know, we just faced him the other week with the uh, with the Browns.
- 1:25:00[SPEAKER_04]: I think he pinned us on one of the punts.
- 1:25:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, actually.
- 1:25:02[SPEAKER_03]: Corriba Hark was revenge game as well.
- 1:25:04[SPEAKER_05]: He averaged 33 and a half yards of kick in that game, so he's pretty terrible on my book.
- 1:25:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, okay.
- 1:25:11[SPEAKER_04]: Moving on to the Bengals game preview of the Bengals game, Packers are playing these Cincinnati Bengals at 325 at Lambo Field a CBS game with Kevin Harlan and Trent Green on the call.
- 1:25:23[SPEAKER_04]: That should be good.
- 1:25:24[SPEAKER_04]: Trent Green doesn't have to say anything, it's like this is just let Kevin cook.
- 1:25:29[SPEAKER_04]: Especially at Lambo 2 again, we talked about this preseason.
- 1:25:32[SPEAKER_04]: He must have some type of contract where he always gets to call Packer Preseason games and like everything else has to work around that because it's been that forever.
- 1:25:40[SPEAKER_04]: The Packers are 14 and a half 14 point favorites.
- 1:25:45[SPEAKER_04]: It hasn't moved much even after the Flacco trade.
- 1:25:48[SPEAKER_04]: It might have moved like half a point if anything.
- 1:25:50[SPEAKER_04]: The over under is 44 and a half.
- 1:25:53[SPEAKER_04]: Bangles this year.
- 1:25:54[SPEAKER_04]: Not very good entering week six with a two and three record, placing them second in the AFC North.
- 1:26:00[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, they, in a second, they started the season 2 and 0 with wins over the Patriots and Jaguars, but have then lost three in a row after Joe Burrow went down, uh, backup Jake Browning obviously started the last three games, and he was terrible three touchdowns, five picks, uh, the team ranks 30th and point scored per game at 15.3, 27th and points allowed at 29.8.
- 1:26:23[SPEAKER_04]: However, they did trade as I mentioned there for Joe Flacco who we assume will start.
- 1:26:29[SPEAKER_04]: It was a real bummer because, you know, everyone saw like the tweets for who the quarterbacks are on the Bengals roster besides Browning after they were him and Han.
- 1:26:36[SPEAKER_04]: If he would start again, it was rip in Mike White and Scott Tolzene who is on the practice squad.
- 1:26:44[SPEAKER_04]: They cut, no, not Scott Tolzene's not another.
- 1:26:48[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry, another white guy without with a noodle arm.
- 1:26:51[SPEAKER_04]: Clifford, Sean Clifford,
- 1:26:54[SPEAKER_04]: They both have their first game start with us, but they did cut Brett Rippen, they cut Mike White as well.
- 1:27:02[SPEAKER_04]: Mike White would have been the one who I would have been the most afraid of.
- 1:27:04[SPEAKER_04]: Brett Rippen, if you remember, he started for the Rams two or three, two years ago.
- 1:27:08[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was the first year of Jordan Love, and that was the worst quarterback game I can ever remember and like recent memory.
- 1:27:15[SPEAKER_04]: So I was really hoping he was going to get to start.
- 1:27:17[SPEAKER_04]: but it will be Joe Flacco, a couple other former Packers on the Team 2 TJ Slayton who we brought up earlier or in Berks, Mike Penel, two real throwback and then Lucas Patrick love that one.
- 1:27:29[SPEAKER_04]: He's got his, the Mike Penel throwback is he is a scary face.
- 1:27:33[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't remember how being so scary looking.
- 1:27:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I thought so.
- 1:27:36[SPEAKER_04]: And Lucas Patrick is on the IR again.
- 1:27:38[SPEAKER_04]: He was like starting for that fucking team and now he's on the IR.
- 1:27:41[SPEAKER_04]: Just shows you how bad that off its flying is.
- 1:27:44[SPEAKER_04]: Last game, I mean, they lost to Detroit, 37 to 24, they were down 28 to 3 after 3 quarters, but scored 3 touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
- 1:27:53[SPEAKER_04]: So, I don't know if it doesn't really matter because Browning's benched anyways.
- 1:27:58[SPEAKER_04]: Their big offensive players, Joe Flacco, as we mentioned, hopefully we can actually get a sack on him, or I mean, Michael Parsons can, something he was looking forward to.
- 1:28:06[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe on a short week.
- 1:28:07[SPEAKER_04]: He doesn't know how to run the offense.
- 1:28:08[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe he doesn't even start the scheme.
- 1:28:10[SPEAKER_04]: Who knows?
- 1:28:11[SPEAKER_04]: Jumar Chase leads the team with 374 yards.
- 1:28:14[SPEAKER_04]: He got a touchdown in last week's game.
- 1:28:16[SPEAKER_04]: I believe he has three on the season.
- 1:28:19[SPEAKER_04]: T-Hagons the second leading receiver.
- 1:28:20[SPEAKER_04]: 150 yards.
- 1:28:20[SPEAKER_04]: Two touchdowns.
- 1:28:23[SPEAKER_04]: Running back Chase Brown after a really nice finish or second half of the year last year, he leads the team with 160 yards rushing a 2.5 yard average, which is pretty bad at 95 yards receiving he is more of a pass catching running back.
- 1:28:38[SPEAKER_04]: their tight ends make a sicky and no a fan to our both bombs taught if you remember no a fan you wanted us to draft him instead of reshond geary love in that draft oh a fan yeah and good thing we didn't take it that was the no a fan did who came out with him that same year is the two Iowa type of thing together yeah TJ hockey don't you feel and I was like I was a big braided and I was like we want no a fan to whatever you want to fanta you know
- 1:29:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and he's kind of bounced around the league after because he could have bankers.
- 1:29:09[SPEAKER_04]: There was a chance in my belief, yeah, yes defensive players, obviously, Trey Hendrickson, he's, you know, he's gotten like multiple or double digit sex, just about every year with the Bengals he led the league last year, I believe.
- 1:29:22[SPEAKER_04]: defensive tackle B.J.
- 1:29:23[SPEAKER_04]: Hill has like 40 plus tackles per year, linebacker, germane, Pratt has been their leading tackle over the last few years, cornerback Camtailer, Brit.
- 1:29:32[SPEAKER_04]: Pretty, I don't know, he's their corner, he's finally gets picks and then safety, Gino Stone and the secondary had three plus picks last season, but their defense is fucking awful even in the preseason.
- 1:29:42[SPEAKER_04]: It was talked about how bad they were going to be and they have been for the most part, but the Bengals.
- 1:29:47[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what they suck.
- 1:29:50[SPEAKER_04]: Flack was the only thing that kind of scares me with this.
- 1:29:52[SPEAKER_04]: The defense is bad.
- 1:29:54[SPEAKER_03]: They're they're like a case study for like if you don't control if you completely say fuck it on the line of scrimmage.
- 1:30:02[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't matter who you put on either side of the ball.
- 1:30:05[SPEAKER_03]: Like they're like the case study for that is like they they're offensive line is terrible.
- 1:30:09[SPEAKER_03]: They're like the 30-second ranked team and run offense.
- 1:30:13[SPEAKER_03]: They can't run the ball.
- 1:30:13[SPEAKER_03]: They can't do anything without Flacko because they're not Flacko.
- 1:30:17[SPEAKER_03]: without Joe Burrow because and he's just back there.
- 1:30:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and they got him out record amounts every year.
- 1:30:22[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like, you can't do a you got, you know, Jamar Chase is like, could have been could be one of the best ever, but like, there's no one throwing the ball ever.
- 1:30:32[SPEAKER_03]: Flacco's, well, I keep saying flacco.
- 1:30:35[SPEAKER_03]: Burrow is already always hurt.
- 1:30:37[SPEAKER_03]: it's just like that poor guy like Joe Burrow and and Chase get drafted this team where they're just like they can't control the line.
- 1:30:45[SPEAKER_04]: Well, Chase did when the triple crown was at last year the year before where he led the league in yards touchdowns and receptions.
- 1:30:51[SPEAKER_04]: So he has produced as long as Burrow was healthy.
- 1:30:55[SPEAKER_04]: He puts up great pros healthy.
- 1:30:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 1:30:58[SPEAKER_04]: And Burrow might be like the Andrew Luck of this generation where he just can't finish his career Yes, that team can't can't put an offensive line around him.
- 1:31:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm going to get it.
- 1:31:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's not canned.
- 1:31:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's wolves Like they can go and free agency.
- 1:31:11[SPEAKER_03]: They could figure it out.
- 1:31:12[SPEAKER_04]: They just well, that's what's he talking case any students like okay What if we just focus on the offense?
- 1:31:18[SPEAKER_04]: Because it's like okay Joe Burrow got his big deal.
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_04]: Jumart Chase got his big deal
- 1:31:22[SPEAKER_04]: T. Higgins got a big deal and it's like, oh, we're out of money.
- 1:31:26[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, Trey Hendrickson will give you as much as we can, but we don't really have anything.
- 1:31:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so yeah, it's been it's been a shit show there really since I mean, that first year what was Burwell rookie when they went to the Super Bowl or was that a second year?
- 1:31:39[SPEAKER_04]: I might have been a second.
- 1:31:41[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I thought he was heard as rookie year.
- 1:31:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, yes, that's right, but yeah, that's second year where they went on the run.
- 1:31:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's only been downhill Sense then I I don't know.
- 1:31:50[SPEAKER_04]: I feel I think the big difference here because you know we've been up and down this year But we're a different team at home too.
- 1:31:57[SPEAKER_04]: That's been a big reason why the offensive line is stuck to outside of the injuries is Elton Jenkins the way is head moves one you got what is your take?
- 1:32:08[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know anything.
- 1:32:09[SPEAKER_04]: Again, I'm a 33-year-old skinny fat white guy.
- 1:32:14[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't play.
- 1:32:14[SPEAKER_04]: I've never played professional football.
- 1:32:16[SPEAKER_03]: Not fat fuck, but skinny fat.
- 1:32:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 1:32:20[SPEAKER_04]: But usually offensive Lyman, especially in the road when you have a silent count, you put your head down, you put your head up, and then you snap it.
- 1:32:29[SPEAKER_04]: He keeps his head down when he snaps it so he can't get it up to like see who's coming at him.
- 1:32:34[SPEAKER_04]: And then the other guys on the offensive line are kind of doing the same thing.
- 1:32:37[SPEAKER_04]: So we've struggled with like, let in loud environments this year for these away games.
- 1:32:44[SPEAKER_05]: So is the is it the guard that like waves his arm like behind behind the tap?
- 1:32:52[SPEAKER_03]: So normally what you would do is the guard would tap.
- 1:32:56[SPEAKER_03]: the center.
- 1:32:56[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:32:57[SPEAKER_03]: So the guard looks over his left shoulder.
- 1:32:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's like typically the right guard is looking over his left shoulder.
- 1:33:03[SPEAKER_03]: Once it's the whatever the signal is to snap the ball, he then looks forward and gives like the go ahead nod the tap.
- 1:33:12[SPEAKER_03]: But like it's crazy that the packers like to not be able to see what's in front of you when you snap the ball and have to snap your head up.
- 1:33:21[SPEAKER_03]: and like what if somebody moved what if there's an agat blitz coming like we I just like that's wild to me like nobody can do that.
- 1:33:30[SPEAKER_03]: How are you effective?
- 1:33:31[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't make sense.
- 1:33:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah because Mike Wall I think was talking about this with Andy Herman a couple of weeks ago when I when I listened to it because yeah it's again I don't know anything but it's like you want to have your head up especially and it was like two weeks in a row it maybe he was better against the cowboys but it's just it seems like a base is probably
- 1:33:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's probably not that you can't do it, but it's like, like, somehow explained to me how that's better.
- 1:33:58[SPEAKER_03]: How is that better than having your head up?
- 1:34:00[SPEAKER_03]: It can't be like that's it's not that it can't be done.
- 1:34:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's just like, it's can't be better.
- 1:34:06[SPEAKER_03]: So that's my.
- 1:34:07[SPEAKER_04]: And then with the team two, I guess a couple notes to talk about and over as a by week, whatever, by week bananas.
- 1:34:12[SPEAKER_04]: So we've gone long.
- 1:34:13[SPEAKER_04]: But Christian Watson did practice on Monday, opening up the 21 day window for him to return Martian Lloyd was not practicing Jacob Monk who I think everyone forgot about.
- 1:34:24[SPEAKER_04]: He was practicing and that's about it.
- 1:34:27[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Aaron Banks and Zach Tom both were practicing, but they had been the week before two, at least limited at times.
- 1:34:38[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to guess Aaron Banks will be back.
- 1:34:42[SPEAKER_04]: Belton, he was still out as well, and then Colin Oliver and Jonathan Williams, John Williams.
- 1:34:50[SPEAKER_04]: We're both still out as well, so we'll see what happens for having to make these roster moves too.
- 1:34:56[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think anything's pressing right now, at least this week.
- 1:35:00[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but we'll see the biggest thing there is obviously the offensive line and then Christian Watts whenever he comes back.
- 1:35:06[SPEAKER_04]: It seems like I don't feel like I'm one or two weeks off.
- 1:35:09[SPEAKER_04]: I would be pretty surprised if he plays this week, but either way, I mean, it's been nine months there, they're saying, you know, it's been a huge, a quick turnaround.
- 1:35:18[SPEAKER_04]: He trained this off season with Stefan Diggs.
- 1:35:21[SPEAKER_04]: and some other big ACL recovery trainer wide receiver guy and they were saying like both digs and wants and have recovered faster than obviously what usually happens.
- 1:35:32[SPEAKER_04]: Bangles?
- 1:35:36[SPEAKER_03]: How do we feel?
- 1:35:37[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know Billy you haven't any thoughts on the Bangles on this game?
- 1:35:40[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
- 1:35:42[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, usually I would say that I expect us to come out and hang about 21 on them in the first 20 minutes of the game and just kind of coast from there.
- 1:35:52[SPEAKER_05]: This tone is pessimistic.
- 1:35:54[SPEAKER_05]: We're coming off the by-week and historically under the floor.
- 1:35:58[SPEAKER_05]: We don't inspire a lot of confidence coming out of the by-week.
- 1:36:01[SPEAKER_05]: However, is this where you want me to give my score prediction?
- 1:36:05[SPEAKER_05]: Sure.
- 1:36:07[SPEAKER_05]: So I think we come out of the gates low, but I think over the course, especially over the second half is where our talent and depth will start to show through.
- 1:36:20[SPEAKER_05]: So I'll say we win 33-16.
- 1:36:24[SPEAKER_04]: Mike McCarthy and LaFlor are like opposites.
- 1:36:28[SPEAKER_04]: Because again, McCarthy didn't have a good offense at the end, but he was always a good coach and manager with the LaFlor.
- 1:36:35[SPEAKER_04]: It's kind of been the opposite, where he has a fresh offense that generally does pretty well.
- 1:36:38[SPEAKER_04]: And then after buys, McCarthy was always really, really good coming off a by week.
- 1:36:43[SPEAKER_04]: even with the cowboys I believe and then Matt LaFlor isn't when he has it's like y'all thinks himself at times and McCarthy went high in our big boy draft and LaFlor didn't even get mentioned yeah it's a very good point woke who could have seen that actually good point.
- 1:36:59[SPEAKER_04]: Todd you have any other thoughts on this game or what's your score prediction?
- 1:37:04[SPEAKER_03]: What was your score?
- 1:37:05[SPEAKER_03]: Billy 3 16
- 1:37:08[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, 28, 13 Packers.
- 1:37:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think similarly that, even if we come out a little bit cool, this just feels like that offense.
- 1:37:19[SPEAKER_03]: Again, maybe we talk to trap game against the Browns.
- 1:37:23[SPEAKER_03]: This can't be a trap game.
- 1:37:26[SPEAKER_04]: Right?
- 1:37:27[SPEAKER_04]: If we lose this one, it changes the path.
- 1:37:31[SPEAKER_03]: The trap is the path we're looking at.
- 1:37:32[SPEAKER_03]: Packers are traps.
- 1:37:36[SPEAKER_03]: It just feels like, yeah, this one should be based on what we've seen even with the Browns game and the questionable defense against the Cowboys, this should still be a lock right like that's the way I feel yeah, I mean the Cowboys it's just nothing there.
- 1:37:52[SPEAKER_04]: The Browns, bad offense, good defense, the Cowboys, good offense, bad defense, the Bengals, bad offense, bad defense.
- 1:38:03[SPEAKER_04]: So it should be bad special teams.
- 1:38:05[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe we give up a special team.
- 1:38:07[SPEAKER_04]: They got a good kicker.
- 1:38:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't put something like that in the universe.
- 1:38:11[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, my score prediction 31, 21, 21, 17.
- 1:38:14[SPEAKER_04]: I have the Packers winning and covering as well.
- 1:38:18[SPEAKER_04]: I guess, yeah, it's pretty close to it.
- 1:38:20[SPEAKER_04]: 14, I guess depending on what book you're using, but I don't know it would be nice Under the floor to just shit kick a team.
- 1:38:26[SPEAKER_04]: We never shit kick teams We don't we we maybe in the first half will shit kick them in and they eat back a little bit But I just want a continuous shit kick and it's weird too because LaFlor after these games after Wednesdays like I just want a complete game and it's like god If only we could find the guy who would be in control of this, you know if only we could find him to help us out
- 1:38:45[SPEAKER_05]: Where is he?
- 1:38:46[SPEAKER_05]: It just it just feels like when we get out to that big lead Then the floor is like okay, we got to take the foot off the gas.
- 1:38:52[SPEAKER_04]: We can't show too much Don't want to put anything more on tape than we have to exactly yeah, and I would I'd like for one of the like beat reporters to like ask You know you've in the nice straight possible, but you've talked about all gas no breaks in the past It seems like sometimes you know kind of let off a little bit in the second half I'd like to see what he'd say about that but bold prediction Billy was your bold prediction for this game
- 1:39:16[SPEAKER_05]: I think Matthew Golden is starting to come on, so I think he has a coming out party.
- 1:39:20[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to say a rushing and a receiving touchdown from Matthew Golden.
- 1:39:23[SPEAKER_04]: Wow, incredibly bold.
- 1:39:25[SPEAKER_04]: That would be I probably would have accepted just a rushing touchdown, but you've already spoken.
- 1:39:30[SPEAKER_04]: Todd, what is your bold prediction for this game?
- 1:39:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say he has been kind of cold.
- 1:39:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say cold more than anything else.
- 1:39:40[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say Mike of Parsons, three sacks.
- 1:39:44[SPEAKER_03]: Three.
- 1:39:45[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:39:46[SPEAKER_04]: That would be at least one Joe Flacco sack, which is what he wanted going into.
- 1:39:50[SPEAKER_04]: The Browns came to.
- 1:39:51[SPEAKER_04]: He's never sack.
- 1:39:52[SPEAKER_04]: Joe Flacco.
- 1:39:54[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, right.
- 1:39:54[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:39:55[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't know that.
- 1:39:56[SPEAKER_05]: He still have me in one sack would be bold?
- 1:39:59[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 1:39:59[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm saying the three.
- 1:40:00[SPEAKER_03]: I feel three.
- 1:40:02[SPEAKER_03]: Three is the number because what does he have on the year?
- 1:40:04[SPEAKER_03]: He has one and a half or two and a half two and a half I saw some tweet today.
- 1:40:09[SPEAKER_04]: I don't remember exactly what it was, but he's still like top five or top ten and pressures even with the by week
- 1:40:17[SPEAKER_04]: My bold prediction.
- 1:40:18[SPEAKER_04]: I thought you were going to say something along these lines someone who's been a little cold.
- 1:40:21[SPEAKER_04]: He had his worst game of the season.
- 1:40:24[SPEAKER_04]: Against the cowboys after coming on strong the second half of last year.
- 1:40:28[SPEAKER_04]: I have Edger and Cooper having two sacks in this game.
- 1:40:31[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe we actually blitz a little bit more.
- 1:40:34[SPEAKER_04]: You know, halfway, when he first signed on, he wanted to just rush the front four and have everyone else kind of drop back.
- 1:40:40[SPEAKER_04]: That's what he did against the Cowboys.
- 1:40:42[SPEAKER_04]: It didn't work a ton.
- 1:40:43[SPEAKER_04]: So maybe he'll adjust some a nice thing that, uh, Nagler throughout two is, uh, Jeff Halfly gets to go against Joe Flacco twice.
- 1:40:51[SPEAKER_04]: So it's like I'm sure he's picked up some things that Flacco didn't the first game that he maybe wasn't thinking about.
- 1:40:58[SPEAKER_04]: So hopefully that's enough here too.
- 1:40:59[SPEAKER_04]: And I mean,
- 1:41:03[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he is older than Rogers, but he's in his 40s, he's 40s a man, so maybe we can sack him.
- 1:41:09[SPEAKER_04]: That would be pretty cool if both Todd and my prediction are right, and there's five sacks between Adrian Cooper and Michael Parsons.
- 1:41:17[SPEAKER_04]: But yep, that's the game.
- 1:41:19[SPEAKER_04]: That's the podcast.
- 1:41:20[SPEAKER_04]: If you could please leave a five sur review on Apple or Spotify, that would be cool.
- 1:41:25[SPEAKER_04]: Leave a review on iTunes and we'll read on the podcast or you can leave a comment on Spotify.
- 1:41:32[SPEAKER_04]: We'll read it.
- 1:41:34[SPEAKER_04]: If you want to coosy with the podcast logo on it, email us at pppacas at gmail.com or dms on twitter at pmp pod and I'll send you a coosy.
- 1:41:43[SPEAKER_04]: We just sent one to, I was a christian christian last week or god.
- 1:41:48[SPEAKER_04]: Hopefully she's going to the bangles game.
- 1:41:50[SPEAKER_04]: So hopefully she can We'll see here.
- 1:41:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we'll definitely.
- 1:41:53[SPEAKER_04]: We won't be there.
- 1:41:54[SPEAKER_04]: But hopefully the Koozi makes it to her so she can bring it to the game.
- 1:41:56[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, leave a comment.
- 1:41:58[SPEAKER_04]: We have no comments this week.
- 1:41:59[SPEAKER_04]: No reviews this week to read.
- 1:42:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'll come on people.
- 1:42:03[SPEAKER_04]: Leave a comment.
- 1:42:03[SPEAKER_04]: They'll agree with them.
- 1:42:05[SPEAKER_04]: the algorithm.
- 1:42:06[SPEAKER_04]: Everyone took the week off.
- 1:42:07[SPEAKER_04]: It's a slightly very good point.
- 1:42:08[SPEAKER_04]: With that, I don't have anything else.
- 1:42:12[SPEAKER_04]: Todd, do you have anything else?
- 1:42:13[SPEAKER_04]: Or Billy, you know, Billy, I'm so sorry the by week is this early, so we don't have to talk to you until March probably, so I have to, you don't get the privilege, either which words are top words.
- 1:42:32[SPEAKER_03]: and another honorable mention, Andrew Daco, just to have a fun guy.
- 1:42:35[SPEAKER_03]: Did he have small hands or short arms?
- 1:42:38[SPEAKER_03]: Was it one of the two?
- 1:42:39[SPEAKER_03]: He had a greater performance.
- 1:42:42[SPEAKER_03]: He did but we that's a short arms baby.
- 1:42:47[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know that seems more like a bad tackle feel like he had small hands that but that's Brand like hands doesn't matter.
- 1:42:56[SPEAKER_03]: I know but it doesn't matter, but it's like that stuck out man So maybe it was short arms.
- 1:43:00[SPEAKER_03]: He had short arms.
- 1:43:01[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know where to stay now very bad some of the throne pick that allegedly was like being looked at as a
- 1:43:08[SPEAKER_04]: first or second round pick as a junior and then I'll fill a part that was terrible.
- 1:43:12[SPEAKER_04]: One of the worst preseason tackles I can remember.
- 1:43:14[SPEAKER_04]: It was in Grum, I think, for the Chargers, just fucking ran him over twice in a row.
- 1:43:20[SPEAKER_04]: So so bad, San Diego.
- 1:43:23[SPEAKER_05]: Mike Pennell also honorable mention, big boy.
- 1:43:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's true.
- 1:43:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, who's on the, who's on the bangles?
- 1:43:30[SPEAKER_04]: Is it my Pennell?
- 1:43:31[SPEAKER_05]: I had to look him up, 64334.
- 1:43:32[SPEAKER_04]: I did.
- 1:43:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that is pretty big.
- 1:43:36[SPEAKER_03]: Those true Noah's actually.
- 1:43:38[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like there's another guy like Mike Pennell.
- 1:43:40[SPEAKER_04]: Remember Lawrence Guy?
- 1:43:41[SPEAKER_05]: Multi-time Super Bowl Champion.
- 1:43:45[SPEAKER_05]: I'm pretty sure.
- 1:43:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, with the true.
- 1:43:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, with the Patriots.
- 1:43:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I just always liked that last name, but he was another seventh round pick that didn't stick with us.
- 1:43:52[SPEAKER_04]: But I thought he was just a guy.
- 1:43:55[SPEAKER_04]: Jesus.
- 1:43:56[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, yeah.
- 1:43:59[SPEAKER_04]: All right, with that, do you guys have anything else?
- 1:44:02[SPEAKER_03]: Drowworthy thought he was going to be good.
- 1:44:03[SPEAKER_03]: He had that kind of so excited.
- 1:44:06[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it was in a game.
- 1:44:10[SPEAKER_04]: I think he was training camp.
- 1:44:12[SPEAKER_04]: He impressed the beat quarters and then he never could do it in actual game college.
- 1:44:16[SPEAKER_03]: He did it.
- 1:44:16[SPEAKER_03]: But then in like in the pros, he could not get off or he'd like get off and it always had the headband or the the cap on.
- 1:44:23[SPEAKER_04]: What do you call that?
- 1:44:24[SPEAKER_04]: The skull cap.
- 1:44:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like skull cap type thing.
- 1:44:28[SPEAKER_04]: He always had always learned that.
- 1:44:30[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, he wasn't very good.
- 1:44:31[SPEAKER_04]: Michigan State player.
- 1:44:32[SPEAKER_04]: Aaron Rappowski.
- 1:44:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I was going to think in that too.
- 1:44:37[SPEAKER_04]: I was thinking more.
- 1:44:38[SPEAKER_03]: I wrote it.
- 1:44:39[SPEAKER_04]: I was thinking Quin Johnson before.
- 1:44:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, that's actually we're fun to leach fun to leach, but he was kind of a modular guy as well Vontaleeach was like as square as they go William Henderson William Henderson had like the the shelf on the back of his shoulder pads, so that made him look even bigger
- 1:45:00[SPEAKER_04]: When I think of like late 90s, early 2000s, best aesthetic, it is Gilbert Brown and William Henderson.
- 1:45:07[SPEAKER_04]: Like gigantic pads and obviously the visor on Brown.
- 1:45:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the pad height that was like four inches taller than necessary, where you're like, where is it?
- 1:45:16[SPEAKER_04]: Are you allowed?
- 1:45:17[SPEAKER_04]: I wonder if you're allowed to wear pads that big anymore.
- 1:45:20[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think you would want to.
- 1:45:22[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, say today it's all about speed and movement.
- 1:45:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's about speed.
- 1:45:27[SPEAKER_03]: And like you, you don't want pads that big.
- 1:45:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't know potato.
- 1:45:32[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody wants smaller pads.
- 1:45:33[SPEAKER_05]: I was gonna say now where deep now with days.
- 1:45:35[SPEAKER_03]: They almost like Double-sided tape them to themselves The jerseys are incredibly Yeah, I also wrote out kitty Clark just for fun.
- 1:45:47[SPEAKER_04]: You know, he's always I mean, I always called him in the December.
- 1:45:50[SPEAKER_04]: You know, he's just he's all must out too It always seemed like very He's very straight on and Dave Boctiari wrote him down.
- 1:45:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he's not big.
- 1:45:59[SPEAKER_04]: He's not big
- 1:46:00[SPEAKER_04]: Well, 300 pounds girl back you understand or Scott Wells wasn't very big flanagan Cory I Looked Scott Wells.
- 1:46:08[SPEAKER_03]: I did not write it out today.
- 1:46:11[SPEAKER_03]: I thought about writing down My ears just because he was just a big die.
- 1:46:18[SPEAKER_03]: Still is Still has a big guy.
- 1:46:20[SPEAKER_03]: I just didn't I don't know all right.
- 1:46:22[SPEAKER_04]: We've gone.
- 1:46:22[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:46:23[SPEAKER_04]: Anything anything else?
- 1:46:25[SPEAKER_03]: That's where through my whole life.
- 1:46:27[SPEAKER_05]: Billy, any send off before we get to talk to you?
- 1:46:31[SPEAKER_05]: I look forward to talking to you in the by week Benanza prior to the Super Bowl.
- 1:46:37[SPEAKER_03]: Ah, that's right.
- 1:46:37[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 1:46:37[SPEAKER_03]: Well, with that, no week would buy the playoffs.
- 1:46:42[SPEAKER_04]: That's what he's saying.
- 1:46:44[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I see.
- 1:46:45[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, sorry.
- 1:46:46[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
- 1:46:47[SPEAKER_04]: We can add three by week.
- 1:46:48[SPEAKER_04]: We can scroll.
- 1:46:50[SPEAKER_04]: You get to pick what you get to pick one.
- 1:46:52[SPEAKER_04]: OK.
- 1:46:53[SPEAKER_04]: With the AJ Dylan, take us out.
- 1:46:56[SPEAKER_02]: See anybody on Twitter or whatever.
- 1:46:58[SPEAKER_02]: You can't do what we're doing.
- 1:47:00[SPEAKER_02]: Just enjoy.
- 1:47:01[SPEAKER_02]: I just watch.
- 1:47:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you were a good man down.
- 1:47:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, good, just won't hate.
- 1:47:07[SPEAKER_01]: And we're done here.
- 1:47:12[SPEAKER_01]: We're dumb, but they took my money away now and don't care They ain't working like me down here
- 1:47:33[SPEAKER_03]: I accidentally drank a hundred and eighty-and-a-half caffeine before this.
- 1:47:38[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was one of those other creeps, but it's a lot probiotic drinks, and it was not.
- 1:47:44[SPEAKER_03]: It was just caffeine.
- 1:47:45[SPEAKER_03]: It was an energy drink, if you will.
- 1:47:47[SPEAKER_03]: Oh wow, it's a people.
- 1:47:50[SPEAKER_05]: So you're gonna be up until about 330 this morning.
- 1:47:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's why I'm more trying to counter I'm using whiskey.
- 1:47:55[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to match my upper with a downer.
- 1:47:59[SPEAKER_05]: Hell yeah, but you're trying to get just that perfect amount of drunk where you pass out, but you're not hungover in the morning.
- 1:48:07[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 1:48:08[SPEAKER_05]: That's my favorite bet best of luck.
