Speaker 1: Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest. Conan Gray broke out
0:04
Speaker 1: last year with his deeply emotional ballad Heather off his
0:07
Speaker 1: debut album, kid Crow. But he just released a new single, Overdrive,
0:11
Speaker 1: that's on the opposite end of the spectrum. It's upbeat,
0:13
Speaker 1: it's uplifting, dance worthy pop, and the debut single off
0:16
Speaker 1: his next project, which he's still working on. So will
0:19
Speaker 1: his new album be introspective like Heather, are positive and
0:22
Speaker 1: energetic like Overdrive? It sounds like somewhere in between. Conon
0:24
Speaker 1: tells Billboard. I'm not the kind of person who only
0:27
Speaker 1: listens to one type of music, and I'm also not
0:29
Speaker 1: the kind of person who writes one type of music.

Speaker 1: So the rest of the stuff that's gonna come out
0:33
Speaker 1: this year is going to be all over the place.
0:35
Speaker 1: Some of it will be absolutely horribly depressing, and other
0:38
Speaker 1: things will make you want to dance around. With my
0:40
Speaker 1: new single, I tried to spread a little happiness for
0:42
Speaker 1: the new year, but I make no promises for the
0:44
Speaker 1: rest of the year. Conan's latest Overdrive, is out now.
0:48
Speaker 1: That's Direct from Hollywood.
