- 0:00Speaker 1: Thousands of students crossing the border from Mexico to the
- 0:04Speaker 1: United States of America for one thing, schooling and schooling
- 0:09Speaker 1: doesn't cost much when you're an legal immigrant. And now
- 0:12Speaker 1: many of them that have broken into this country are
- 0:15Speaker 1: now set to graduate. Yeah, can you believe that they're
- 0:20Speaker 1: going to graduate? Congratulations you, as a taxpayer, paid for it.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 0:25Speaker 2: In a letter obtained by CBS News, legislators from fifteen
- 0:28Speaker 2: states said they want the president to restore order and
- 0:32Speaker 2: quote fix our broken immigration system. Recent data shows the
- 0:36Speaker 2: number of illegal border crossings have fallen, but tens of
- 0:39Speaker 2: thousands are still trying to make it to the US.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Camelo Montoya Galvez traveled to the other side of the
- 0:44Speaker 2: border in Cio Dad Juarez, Mexico, for a closer look
- 0:49Speaker 2: at how the situation is unfolding.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Thereto key, how long have you been waiting here? Nine days?
- 0:56Speaker 4: How long?
- 0:57Speaker 3: Five days? Eight days? Desperate and exhausted, dozens of migrants
- 1:02Speaker 3: huddled under the shade, stranded in this makeshift camp in Mexico,
- 1:06Speaker 3: with the US just out of reach. Where are you all? From?
- 1:09Speaker 3: The younger thin Colombia, Columbia, Guatemala. They came from across
- 1:17Speaker 3: Latin America, fleeing poverty and political turmoil, but they had
- 1:21Speaker 3: one common goal, getting to the US, no matter the cost.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Do you have food? No food, no money, no food,
- 1:32Speaker 3: no water? How long are you willing to wait here for?
- 1:35Speaker 3: When I put the in on Baraque, as long as
- 1:39Speaker 3: it takes. Rene, a migrant from Hondudas, had been there
- 1:44Speaker 3: for fifteen days, braving the elements with his young daughters. Gormaza,
- 1:49Speaker 3: can you sleep here right there? You sleep right there?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Colas were your daughters. You know your next scare. You
- 1:59Speaker 3: don't sleep the night. We just met this group with
- 2:02Speaker 3: several dozen migrants here into Hahuadas, Mexico, including really small
- 2:06Speaker 3: young children. They're all waiting to get to the US,
- 2:08Speaker 3: which is right there of hw yards away. But this
- 2:11Speaker 3: is in their way, miles and miles of razor wire
- 2:14Speaker 3: and another barriers set up by the state of Texas
- 2:16Speaker 3: to repel them from crossing into the US illegally. These
- 2:21Speaker 3: migrants showed us firsthand how sharp the wire was. They
- 2:26Speaker 3: want to kill us, this man, said local shelter director Kadia.
- 2:31Speaker 3: The Sila believes the barriers are inhumane.
- 2:34Speaker 5: That US is the greatest country in the world. We're
- 2:36Speaker 5: able to have I think policy that treats this situation
- 2:41Speaker 5: with dignity, and you don't think this is a.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Way to do it, not at all. This should be
- 2:46Speaker 3: assigned to them not to cross here on the US
- 2:49Speaker 3: side of the border. Texas trooper Eliot Touris understands why
- 2:53Speaker 3: migrants want to cross, but says they should do so legally.
- 2:57Speaker 3: You say this returns people from crossing into the country legally,
- 3:00Speaker 3: but some would call this inhumane, right, what do you
- 3:03Speaker 3: think about that?
- 3:05Speaker 1: The inhumane part is in the optic right, that's what
- 3:07Speaker 1: people perceive.
- 3:08Speaker 5: It to be.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Could this wire cut the migrants if they're trying to
- 3:11Speaker 3: get across, Yes, sir, they could, and that's part of
- 3:13Speaker 3: the terrens.
- 3:14Speaker 6: Yes, sir. Now, if anybody does get cut, that's when
- 3:16Speaker 6: we step in again.
- 3:18Speaker 3: We're not going to let somebody stand there have an injury.
- 3:21Speaker 3: This year, illegal crossings along the US border have plummeted
- 3:25Speaker 3: since soaring to record levels in December. Texas officials say
- 3:29Speaker 3: the dramatic drop stems from their aggressive operations, but Mexico
- 3:34Speaker 3: has also overseen a massive crackdown on migrants. Tens of
- 3:39Speaker 3: thousands of migrants are estimated to be waiting in Mexico
- 3:43Speaker 3: for a chance to enter the US. When we talk
- 3:46Speaker 3: about the humanitarian crisis along the US Mexico border, we
- 3:49Speaker 3: always focus on the side in the US. We rarely
- 3:53Speaker 3: see images like this in Mexico. Yeah, why is that?
- 3:56Speaker 5: I think this is a way of you know, out
- 3:58Speaker 5: ofside of am I. You don't want to look at
- 3:59Speaker 5: the poor. You don't want to people that are vulnerable
- 4:01Speaker 5: because it makes us uncomfortable.
- 4:03Speaker 3: People and his daughters who are preparing to spend another
- 4:07Speaker 3: night near the Texas barriers, hoping for a brighter future.
- 4:12Speaker 3: You think the sacrifice will ultimately be worth it. You
- 4:15Speaker 3: think you will be able to get into the US somedayres.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Yes, and Camillo joins me. Now, Camillo is great reporting.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Thanks to him for those who are the migrants you
- 4:30Speaker 2: spoke with who are stuck there sleeping outdoors. Remind us
- 4:34Speaker 2: again why they are there and they have hope. But
- 4:37Speaker 2: what's next for them?
- 4:38Speaker 6: Right?
- 4:39Speaker 3: The simple answer, John, is that they're growing increasingly desperate.
- 4:42Speaker 3: The Biden administration, as you know, has set up the
- 4:44Speaker 3: system to allow some migrants to enter the US legally
- 4:47Speaker 3: at official border crossings if they are able to secure
- 4:50Speaker 3: an appointment through a smartphone app, but that process is
- 4:53Speaker 3: capped at fifteen hundred spots per day, and that the
- 4:56Speaker 3: man in Mexico we found is far higher. And so
- 4:59Speaker 3: many of these migrants are waiting months, as many as
- 5:02Speaker 3: six months, we heard to get an appointment, and some
- 5:05Speaker 3: of them are growing desperate and choosing to try to
- 5:08Speaker 3: cross illegally into the US, as we saw these migrants
- 5:12Speaker 3: try to do in the story, and what is in
- 5:15Speaker 3: their way for those people who are trying to cross
- 5:17Speaker 3: the border illegally are these layers of fencing and razor
- 5:21Speaker 3: wire that Texas is put in place to prevent migrants
- 5:24Speaker 3: from accessing border patrol agents, federal agents who can allow
- 5:27Speaker 3: the migrants who request asylum. Texas, as you know, has
- 5:30Speaker 3: no jurisdiction to process migrant migrants rather under immigration laws,
- 5:34Speaker 3: and so they cannot begin the asylum process with Texas officials.
- 5:38Speaker 2: And just so just quickly do they are? They using
- 5:40Speaker 2: the app, trying to use the app and it's just clogged.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Those you talks, some of them are, and they're telling
- 5:44Speaker 3: us that they grew desperate and that they gave up
- 5:47Speaker 3: on trying because they woke up every morning at nine
- 5:50Speaker 3: am local time to get an appointment, but the appointments
- 5:53Speaker 3: go very quicker.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Quickly, tell me what Mexico is doing to correct do well.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Mexico has staged an aggressive and massive have cracked down
- 6:00Speaker 3: on migrants who are journeying north towards the US since
- 6:05Speaker 3: the beginning of a new round of negotiations in December,
- 6:08Speaker 3: when illegal crossings dropped sword Rather, Mexico has been stopping
- 6:14Speaker 3: more US bound migrants from boarding trains and buses that
- 6:17Speaker 3: would get them closer to American soil, and they're also
- 6:20Speaker 3: deporting more migrants to southern Mexico.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Tell me quickly, Camillo about the executive order, Where's that
- 6:26Speaker 2: stand inside the Biden ministry.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Sources familiar with the Biden administration's deliberations on immigration tell
- 6:31Speaker 3: me that President Biden is indeed considering and weighing whether
- 6:35Speaker 3: to invoke as a secutive authority to try to deter
- 6:38Speaker 3: migrants from cross from the US illegally. One proposal would
- 6:41Speaker 3: involve him invoking an executive power known as two twelve
- 6:44Speaker 3: F that allows presidents to suspend the entry of migrants
- 6:48Speaker 3: and foreigners when it is determined that their arrival would
- 6:51Speaker 3: be detrimental to US interest, but that is still up
- 6:54Speaker 3: in the air, we know, and of course any executive
- 6:57Speaker 3: order on immigration, as has been the case on the
- 7:00Speaker 3: publican and democratic administrations, would be challenging federal court.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Let me just hit pause there. I wanted you to
- 7:07Speaker 1: hear this entire report because there's two things that are happening. One,
- 7:11Speaker 1: you have a media that is giving you this report
- 7:15Speaker 1: and they're doing it in a way that makes it
- 7:17Speaker 1: seem like Texas is evil. And then they say there's
- 7:20Speaker 1: an aggressive crackdown by Mexico, but they won't act like
- 7:23Speaker 1: Mexico is evil in the same way that Texas is
- 7:25Speaker 1: for stopping people as millions of people are invading Mexico.
- 7:30Speaker 1: And that's a fact. Excuse me invading Texas from Mexico.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You have this standard which is if you protect your
- 7:40Speaker 1: border while you're being invaded, that somehow you're being inhumane
- 7:44Speaker 1: because you're using razor wire to stop people from invading,
- 7:47Speaker 1: which is also again completely insane. But did you notice
- 7:52Speaker 1: at the very end of that report, and I'm going
- 7:56Speaker 1: to call it right now, at the very end of
- 8:00Speaker 1: that report, you probably heard it, and what was said
- 8:04Speaker 1: there at the very end of that report, they said,
- 8:08Speaker 1: out of nowhere that Joe Biden is thinking about some
- 8:13Speaker 1: executive actions. So those executive actions, to be clear, would
- 8:18Speaker 1: be executive actions that would be the same thing that
- 8:21Speaker 1: Trump did to secure the border and have the most
- 8:25Speaker 1: secure border in my lifetime, that they then said Democrats
- 8:29Speaker 1: said was in humane. Right, remember when they said it
- 8:31Speaker 1: was again in humane. Now they're saying it's not in humane.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And this is going to happen, is my gut, pretty
- 8:43Speaker 1: close to election day, where the President is going to
- 8:46Speaker 1: admit that the border has become such an issue for
- 8:49Speaker 1: him that he's got to act like he's doing something
- 8:52Speaker 1: to fix the border so that people that are unhappy
- 8:55Speaker 1: with him will say, well, I mean, okay, finally fixed it,
- 8:58Speaker 1: or he's fighting back of it like he's starting to
- 9:01Speaker 1: fix it, like he's moving it in the right direction.
- 9:05Speaker 1: CBS News was soft launching that initiative for this White
- 9:11Speaker 1: House full stop. And that is the part that's the
- 9:15Speaker 1: most annoying to me, is that they're doing it and
- 9:18Speaker 1: floating it and getting people's like getting their minds around
- 9:21Speaker 1: it just so they can then actually do it. But
- 9:26Speaker 1: they don't want it to look like they're really cracking down.
- 9:28Speaker 1: They want it to look like they have no choice, right,
- 9:31Speaker 1: There's just no choice here. So let me tell you
- 9:33Speaker 1: about Patriot Mobile. For ten years, Patriot Mobile has been
- 9:39Speaker 1: America's only Christian conservative wireless provider. Why does that matter
- 9:44Speaker 1: to you, Because if you're with Big Mobile, then you're
- 9:46Speaker 1: giving big donations every time you pay your bill to
- 9:50Speaker 1: liberal causes, liberal candidates, liberal organizations, and you may actually
- 9:56Speaker 1: be helping fund Plan Parenthood. Now, when I found that
- 9:59Speaker 1: out years ago, I made the switch to Patriot Mobile.
- 10:03Speaker 1: And look, switching cell phone providers was not easy until
- 10:07Speaker 1: well recently. It's now twenty twenty four and I had
- 10:10Speaker 1: to switch a line the other day.
- 10:12Speaker 3: It was easy.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I didn't have to go into a store. I didn't
- 10:15Speaker 1: have to wait on the phone for hours on end.
- 10:18Speaker 1: In fact, the entire process switching from one provider to
- 10:22Speaker 1: another took me about ten minutes. Yes, that is now
- 10:27Speaker 1: how easy it is with technology to switch. You can
- 10:30Speaker 1: keep your same cell phone number you have right now,
- 10:32Speaker 1: your same device you have in your hand, or you
- 10:35Speaker 1: can upgrade to a new one if you want to. Now,
- 10:37Speaker 1: the best part about Patrion Mobile is not only do
- 10:40Speaker 1: you get the same coverage you're used to, because they
- 10:42Speaker 1: use the same exact towers you're using right now. But
- 10:45Speaker 1: every time you pay your bill, about five percent of
- 10:48Speaker 1: that bill actually goes back to fight for what we
- 10:51Speaker 1: believe in at no extra cost to you. Yeah, you'll
- 10:53Speaker 1: save money usually on your cell phone bill while supporting
- 10:56Speaker 1: conservative causes. They get money every single month to groups
- 11:00Speaker 1: that support free speech, groups that support religious freedom, and
- 11:04Speaker 1: most importantly for me, groups that support the sanctity of
- 11:08Speaker 1: life protecting unborn babies. They also are huge advocates for
- 11:12Speaker 1: the Second Amendment, and they get back to our military,
- 11:15Speaker 1: our veterans, and our wounded warriors as well as our
- 11:18Speaker 1: first responder heroes. So make a difference with every text,
- 11:22Speaker 1: with every phone call.
- 11:24Speaker 6: Just go to.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile dot com slash ben that's Patriot Mobile dot
- 11:29Speaker 1: com slash Ben, or call them nine to seven to
- 11:31Speaker 1: two Patriot and get free activation when you use the
- 11:34Speaker 1: offer code Ben join me. Make the switch today Patriotmobile
- 11:37Speaker 1: dot com slash Ben or nine to seven to two Patriot.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Also speaker Mike Johnson wants to stop quote undocumented immigrants
- 11:47Speaker 1: from voting. It is something they're now moving towards. They're
- 11:51Speaker 1: concerned about it, and you should be concerned about it.
- 11:56Speaker 1: House Speaker Mike Johnson call on Congress this past week
- 12:02Speaker 1: to pass his new Election Integrity Bill, which he claims
- 12:05Speaker 1: will prevent non citizens from voting in federal elections. This
- 12:10Speaker 1: is important because there's so many undocumented immigrants that Democrats
- 12:15Speaker 1: are trying to get to vote in our elections, and
- 12:17Speaker 1: some of them are actually allowed to vote in local elections,
- 12:20Speaker 1: which is a massive problem. Democrats are saying, well, it's
- 12:24Speaker 1: already illegal, so don't worry about it. You get to
- 12:27Speaker 1: decide on which side of that you want to be.
- 12:29Speaker 1: They but very very frustrating battle.
- 12:32Speaker 7: Now.
- 12:32Speaker 1: The fact that we're even having to have this debate
- 12:34Speaker 1: or fight over if non citizens should be able to
- 12:37Speaker 1: vote in our elections is insane. Also, something else I
- 12:41Speaker 1: want to throw on your radar screen. And not only
- 12:45Speaker 1: is it that the gopism Bilda Bill last week to
- 12:47Speaker 1: bar non citizens from voting in federal elections, prohibiting something
- 12:51Speaker 1: that already is illegal to address a problem Whall makers
- 12:54Speaker 1: are saying is a problem because of what Democrats are doing.
- 12:58Speaker 1: But Speaker Johnson was also last week and telling reporters
- 13:01Speaker 1: that Republicans are motivated by a institution seeking another law
- 13:09Speaker 1: that would limit the voting of US citizens, saying, this
- 13:14Speaker 1: is the big problem, saying, and again, I'm going to
- 13:17Speaker 1: give you the quote. We all know intuitively that a
- 13:20Speaker 1: lot of illegals are voting in federal elections, but it's
- 13:22Speaker 1: not been something that is easily provable. We don't have
- 13:25Speaker 1: that number. This legislation will allow us to do exactly that.
- 13:29Speaker 1: It will prevent that from happening. And if someone tries
- 13:32Speaker 1: to that's an legal immigrant vote in our elections, it
- 13:34Speaker 1: will now be unlawful within the states. That's why we're
- 13:38Speaker 1: doing this. Federal law since ninety six is banned non
- 13:41Speaker 1: citizens from voting in federal elections in many states have
- 13:43Speaker 1: pass laws that do the same for local elections. But
- 13:47Speaker 1: Johnson is making it clear now that we need to
- 13:50Speaker 1: have some reporting on this so we can figure out
- 13:52Speaker 1: how bad it actually is. Johnson saying, it's clear that
- 13:56Speaker 1: it's happening, we just don't know to what extents. Johnson
- 14:01Speaker 1: is making it clear that this is a issue moving
- 14:05Speaker 1: forward in the election that should matter now. Democrats are
- 14:09Speaker 1: responding by making it real simple. They're saying, look, it's
- 14:11Speaker 1: already illegal. This is ridiculous, this is anti immigration, this
- 14:15Speaker 1: is anti minorities. Is anti immigrant, bigoted legislation, is how
- 14:21Speaker 1: it's been described, and so therefore, since it is all
- 14:25Speaker 1: of those things, you shouldn't support it. Now I understand
- 14:27Speaker 1: exactly why Democrats don't want to support this legislation, and
- 14:31Speaker 1: the reason why is they want to allow illegal immigrants
- 14:34Speaker 1: to vote or have the ability to get in on
- 14:37Speaker 1: these elections because they believe, based on their data, that
- 14:41Speaker 1: overwhelming illegal immigrants will vote for the party that's made
- 14:44Speaker 1: it easy for them to break into America, right, I mean,
- 14:47Speaker 1: that's what this is all about, is about allowing them
- 14:52Speaker 1: to break in and having a wide open southern border.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I go back to that report that I played for
- 14:57Speaker 1: you just a few minutes ago from c and what
- 15:00Speaker 1: did CBSA. They're like, Wow, you don't understand, right, Like,
- 15:04Speaker 1: like you don't understand just how bad it is. You
- 15:06Speaker 1: don't understand how inhumane what Texas doing trying to secure
- 15:10Speaker 1: their border with millions of illegal immigrants coming in. You
- 15:13Speaker 1: just can't comprehend just how bad it is. I'm sorry,
- 15:16Speaker 1: I laugh. It's the way that they're trying to have
- 15:20Speaker 1: it both ways here, Like it's just laughable, it's embarrassing,
- 15:27Speaker 1: it's it's embarrassing, it's laughable, but it's also not surprising
- 15:33Speaker 1: at all. What Texas has been forced to do is
- 15:36Speaker 1: what many other states I think are going to do.
- 15:40Speaker 1: We also have some new audio coming in the President
- 15:43Speaker 1: of the United States of America Trump speaking ahead of
- 15:47Speaker 1: Michael Cohen's testimony in New York City. I want you
- 15:52Speaker 1: to hear what he had to say a moment ago
- 15:54Speaker 1: in New York.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Listen. But the big thing today seems to be the Times.
- 15:58Speaker 6: I'm sure the Times is through respect him for at
- 16:00Speaker 6: least letting it come out. And there it is struck,
- 16:05Speaker 6: leading by a lot in every state, every swing state,
- 16:09Speaker 6: leading by a lot. This trial is rigged. It's dishonest.
- 16:16Speaker 6: It's a disgrace to New York. It's a disgrace to
- 16:19Speaker 6: the country. I should be out campaigne now instead of
- 16:21Speaker 6: sitting in a very cold courthouse all day long. This
- 16:26Speaker 6: is a Biden prosecution. It's election interference at a level
- 16:32Speaker 6: that nobody in this country has ever seen before.
- 16:35Speaker 3: This is for.
- 16:35Speaker 6: Third world countries, not for the USA, thank you very much.
- 16:40Speaker 1: It's for third world countries, not for the USA. The
- 16:43Speaker 1: President also saying that this is about the judge and
- 16:49Speaker 1: corruption and what's happening in New York. Li'sten carefully, that's
- 16:52Speaker 1: what Biden.
- 16:53Speaker 6: This will comes from Biden to the White House, by
- 16:55Speaker 6: the way, and they have that top equal here. He
- 17:00Speaker 6: can't when he can't put two sentences together, He's the
- 17:02Speaker 6: worst president in the history of our country. Can't speak,
- 17:07Speaker 6: can't walk off a helicopter, can't walk off a playing
- 17:10Speaker 6: can't walk off of stage. And the only way they
- 17:13Speaker 6: think they can win is if they can do something
- 17:16Speaker 6: with job, because we have an incompetent, the worst president
- 17:19Speaker 6: in the history of the United States of America, Jonathan. Generally,
- 17:23Speaker 6: after Bragg closes the prosecution's case, the defense will make
- 17:27Speaker 6: a standard motion for dismissal Mershid who is so through
- 17:34Speaker 6: and so conflicted like no judge has ever been. And
- 17:38Speaker 6: the presslers don't want to write about it, but you
- 17:40Speaker 6: know exactly what we're saying. Merciad should grant that motion
- 17:44Speaker 6: for dismissal. There's been no showing a crime. They failed
- 17:50Speaker 6: to protect the rights of the defendant from a baseless,
- 17:54Speaker 6: politically motivated prosecution. That's Jonathan's internally. All very talented legal experts.
- 18:02Speaker 1: You know, you listen to this and you hear them
- 18:05Speaker 1: say it's coming from the Biden White House. It is.
- 18:11Speaker 1: The Biden White House is sitting there going after the
- 18:13Speaker 1: former president who's the leader, as you just mentioned, and
- 18:17Speaker 1: the Biden White House is trying to distract you with
- 18:19Speaker 1: anything they can, Like, Hey, we're gonna we're gonna go
- 18:22Speaker 1: hard on Israel all of a sudden. Wait what hey,
- 18:24Speaker 1: We're not gonna sell them arms. Wait what hey, We're
- 18:26Speaker 1: gonna say that Texas is evil because they're trying to
- 18:29Speaker 1: secure the border with Texas and not allow millions to
- 18:31Speaker 1: come in. Hey, we think every legal immigrant in this
- 18:33Speaker 1: country should be able to vote, but we don't want
- 18:35Speaker 1: to put a law out there that says they can't vote.
- 18:37Speaker 1: And we're gonna say the Republicans are evil. Hey, I mean,
- 18:39Speaker 1: what's next. We're gonna have balloons flying over this country
- 18:42Speaker 1: that are taking spy satellite pictures that we're not going
- 18:44Speaker 1: to get shot down. Oh wait, we already had that.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I mean, the list goes on and on. I'm waiting
- 18:50Speaker 1: for a full press conference from Biden now on Area
- 18:52Speaker 1: fifty one, Like what's going to be the next distraction
- 18:56Speaker 1: to get you to not look at the reality of
- 18:58Speaker 1: what's happening? Right now in this country, like look, look, area,
- 19:04Speaker 1: there's aliens over here. I'm not kidding, Like what's next,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I mean, what are they going to do next to
- 19:10Speaker 1: distract you? And then we're hearing very quietly that another
- 19:15Speaker 1: alien issue is going to be changed, not Area fifty
- 19:18Speaker 1: one aliens talking about legal aliens right that we may
- 19:21Speaker 1: get executive action from the President of the United States
- 19:24Speaker 1: America to secure the border right before the election because
- 19:27Speaker 1: they know it is such a damning issue for them.
- 19:31Speaker 1: That's everything you need to know about what's happening right now.
- 19:35Speaker 1: It's incredible. All right, let me take a moment and
- 19:38Speaker 1: talk to you real quick about your retirement and inflation
- 19:41Speaker 1: and the eroding of the power of the dollar. Right now,
- 19:44Speaker 1: inflation is well above what the Fed's target rate is.
- 19:49Speaker 1: You know what's happened. Consumer prices are much higher than
- 19:52Speaker 1: they were last year, the year before, and the year
- 19:54Speaker 1: before that. That's why all of us seen a financial
- 19:57Speaker 1: plan that ensures that money that we say today will
- 20:00Speaker 1: be enough for us tomorrow. And that's why I've diversified
- 20:03Speaker 1: my investments to include gold and silver. Now, there are
- 20:07Speaker 1: a lot of gold and silver companies. You hear them
- 20:10Speaker 1: every day. If you listen to conservative podcasts or talk radio.
- 20:14Speaker 1: If you watch TV conservative networks, you'll see tons of companies. Well,
- 20:18Speaker 1: let me tell you about Freedom Gold USA. Reason why

- 20:26Speaker 1: in gold and silver. Now here's the other thing that
- 20:29Speaker 1: is really important to you. You work hard for your money,
- 20:31Speaker 1: just like I do. And on average, they charge twenty
- 20:34Speaker 1: five to thirty percent less than most major gold and
- 20:39Speaker 1: silver firms. So the ones that you hear from, they're

- 21:30Speaker 1: President Trump, speaking this morning before court uh talking about
- 21:35Speaker 1: several different issues, he said that the we call legal
- 21:40Speaker 1: expense a legal expense, we don't call it construction expense.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Talking about his defense and the absurdity of what has
- 21:48Speaker 1: happened here, I want you to listen to more of
- 21:50Speaker 1: what he had to say a moment ago outside the courthouse.
- 21:53Speaker 6: Rick Jar, I mean, I mean, you take a look
- 21:57Speaker 6: at this safe and the fourth way, and there's still
- 22:01Speaker 6: no evidence whatsoever connecting Trump with any criminal wrongdoing, a
- 22:06Speaker 6: crime that's not charged. It's a crime then, in which
- 22:10Speaker 6: prosecutors won't even tell the defender of.
- 22:12Speaker 3: What it is.
- 22:13Speaker 6: I have no idea what they're even doing. We have records,
- 22:17Speaker 6: and they talked about bookkeeping. The only thing doubt in
- 22:20Speaker 6: the bookkeeping is that we call a legal expense a
- 22:23Speaker 6: legal expense. We don't want a construction expense. We don't
- 22:26Speaker 6: say for a concertinge worm, we don't say for elect
- 22:30Speaker 6: goal warwer.
- 22:31Speaker 8: We paid a lawyer a legal expense, and we have
- 22:35Speaker 8: a legal.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Expense is illegal expense. It's marked out in the book.
- 22:39Speaker 6: Legal expense is perfectly marked out the other side doesn't
- 22:43Speaker 6: know how to handle it, but they say, let's indict
- 22:45Speaker 6: him anyway, because.
- 22:47Speaker 1: By the way, I love how President Trump is doing
- 22:49Speaker 1: these press conferences beforehand walking out talking to media. It's
- 22:53Speaker 1: the right thing to do. By the way, Annie McCarthy
- 22:56Speaker 1: on the Trump trial, as this thing is continuing, here's
- 22:58Speaker 1: what he said a moment ago.
- 23:00Speaker 9: Hey, all right, Andy McCarthy, even right in all weekends, now,
- 23:04Speaker 9: is your chance, all right to spill what you're thinking
- 23:07Speaker 9: about fraud? Has the state proven well that fraud has
- 23:11Speaker 9: taken place.
- 23:14Speaker 7: No, as Jonathan's pointed out, they haven't come close to
- 23:17Speaker 7: proving that fraud has taken place. And it's they don't
- 23:22Speaker 7: just have to prove that fraud has taking place. They
- 23:24Speaker 7: have to prove that it was fraud that included a
- 23:27Speaker 7: specific intent to commit another crime, which we believe is
- 23:31Speaker 7: a federal campaign finance crime. It's astonishing that we don't.
- 23:36Speaker 7: We can't say that with complete certainty. That's supposed to
- 23:39Speaker 7: be spelled out in the indictment. But there's not a
- 23:43Speaker 7: scintilla of evidence that Trump was even thinking about federal
- 23:46Speaker 7: campaign law, let alone that they conspired to violate it.
- 23:50Speaker 7: And I think it's important to make this distinction. You know,
- 23:53Speaker 7: you can make an agreement, which, as Jonathan just said,
- 23:58Speaker 7: is a legal a rayment to not disclose or to
- 24:02Speaker 7: try to bury politically embarrassing information. You could absolutely intend
- 24:07Speaker 7: to do that. That doesn't mean that you were even
- 24:09Speaker 7: thinking about the federal campaign finance laws, much less willfully
- 24:14Speaker 7: violating them beyond a reasonable doubt, which is what Bragg
- 24:17Speaker 7: has to prove here to get a conviction, at least
- 24:20Speaker 7: as a matter of law. Whether they can sway the
- 24:22Speaker 7: jury is another matter. And the final thing I would
- 24:27Speaker 7: say about this is you can put somebody who is
- 24:32Speaker 7: even a convicted perjurer on the stand, But generally, the
- 24:36Speaker 7: agreement that a prosecutor makes to a jury, in terms
- 24:41Speaker 7: of the commitment that you make in the opening statement
- 24:44Speaker 7: and the way you try the case, is that we're
- 24:46Speaker 7: not going to ask you to convict on the basis
- 24:48Speaker 7: of a perjurer's testimony unless we can show you a
- 24:52Speaker 7: document or other testimony or something that corroborates that witness
- 24:58Speaker 7: on this disputed point. To repeat what Jonathan just said
- 25:03Speaker 7: as starkly as I can, they are asking this jury.
- 25:06Speaker 7: They have to ask this jury if they're going to
- 25:08Speaker 7: convict on fraud to accept this guy's uncorroborated testimony despite
- 25:15Speaker 7: his mountainous credibility problems. That is not something a prosecutor
- 25:19Speaker 7: would ordinarily do, which is why I think the prosecutors
- 25:23Speaker 7: in my old office, the Southern District of New York
- 25:25Speaker 7: decided not to pursue this case.
- 25:28Speaker 1: You listen to the facts there from Andy, and you
- 25:32Speaker 1: look at this. I don't think they've come close to
- 25:35Speaker 1: this at all, and to making this case. I don't
- 25:40Speaker 1: think they've come even close. And Jonathan Turley said one
- 25:45Speaker 1: other thing about this when he was asked about it,
- 25:48Speaker 1: and Turley's point I think was really really interesting. He
- 25:51Speaker 1: said this about the DA brag and how he's solely
- 25:55Speaker 1: relying on a motivated judge that hates Trump and motivated
- 26:00Speaker 1: jury that ninety percent of them would have voted against
- 26:02Speaker 1: Trump re intrtd.
- 26:03Speaker 8: Because the judge is seated and the jury is being
- 26:06Speaker 8: walked into the courtroom now and Jonathan Turley, Any McCarthy,
- 26:09Speaker 8: and Johnna Spillboard join our coverage for the best legal
- 26:11Speaker 8: analysis you'll see all day. Jonathan Turley, let me start
- 26:14Speaker 8: with you as Michael Cohen, who is known as a
- 26:17Speaker 8: serial perjurer could be the witness we hear from today.
- 26:22Speaker 4: That's right, and his role here is quite telling because
- 26:26Speaker 4: the government has yet to establish what are called the
- 26:29Speaker 4: elements of any crime in this case, so they're at
- 26:33Speaker 4: the end of their witness list and it's now becoming
- 26:36Speaker 4: a parent what the strategy is, and that is the
- 26:40Speaker 4: Bragg is relying on a motivated judge and a motivated
- 26:43Speaker 4: jury to take him where he needs to go for conviction.
- 26:46Speaker 4: But before he gets there, he has to be able
- 26:49Speaker 4: to credibly argue that someone, anyone said that there was
- 26:54Speaker 4: direct evidence that Trump not only wanted to keep this
- 26:57Speaker 4: silent that's not a crime, but intentionally committed fraud, intentionally
- 27:02Speaker 4: wanted this denotation as a legal expense to conceal a crime.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Michael Cohen appears to be the person that he's going
- 27:10Speaker 4: to do that. Now you can look at that and say,
- 27:12Speaker 4: but who would believe someone that, just a few weeks
- 27:14Speaker 4: ago is denounce as a serial perjurer by another judge
- 27:18Speaker 4: And the answer is it doesn't matter because Bragg knows
- 27:22Speaker 4: that Trump can't take the stand after earlier rulings by
- 27:26Speaker 4: the judge in this case. So Cohen's testimony will not
- 27:30Speaker 4: be contradicted by Trump. So what Bragg will argue is,
- 27:33Speaker 4: you may think he's a liar, you may think that
- 27:36Speaker 4: he's a bottom feeder, but that's a question of credibility judge,
- 27:41Speaker 4: and so this has to go to the jury. That's
- 27:43Speaker 4: the strategy.
- 27:45Speaker 1: So there it is. You're hoping that the books are
- 27:48Speaker 1: cooked enough with a liberal jury and one of the
- 27:51Speaker 1: most liberal areas of the country that voted ninety percent
- 27:56Speaker 1: against Trump in the last election. That's why they the
- 28:00Speaker 1: case in Manhattan. That's why the DA went in the
- 28:03Speaker 1: way that he went in all in. That's why he
- 28:06Speaker 1: decided to do all of this, was to make it
- 28:10Speaker 1: clear that he could grab a jury that was liberal
- 28:15Speaker 1: enough that they wouldn't really care about the facts. They
- 28:17Speaker 1: would just care about a political prosecution, which has been
- 28:22Speaker 1: from the very beginning, a political prosecution, which they can
- 28:27Speaker 1: then just go all in and say, hey, you don't
- 28:30Speaker 1: like Trump, you want Trump not to be president again.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Instead of voting against Trump on election day, do something
- 28:38Speaker 1: even better, make it where he doesn't even get a
- 28:42Speaker 1: chance to be president of the United States of America.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Convict him, vote against him by convicting him of a
- 28:48Speaker 1: crime that we created out of thin air, and we
- 28:51Speaker 1: got a judge that's in on it, we got a
- 28:53Speaker 1: da that's in on it, and let's go all in.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Don't forget. Share this podcast please on social media wherever
