- 0:00Speaker 1: So it's a new year, and we should be excited
- 0:02Speaker 1: about the fact that at least the Republicans have gang
- 0:06Speaker 1: control of the House. So what does that mean. It
- 0:09Speaker 1: does not mean anarchy, It does not mean chaos. It
- 0:14Speaker 1: does not mean that the Republicans don't have an agenda.
- 0:18Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that they're going to flounder their hopes
- 0:21Speaker 1: of actually getting things done. Now I say this, you
- 0:24Speaker 1: may say, Ben, where's this coming from? Because the articles
- 0:27Speaker 1: are already being written. Its Hunter Biden's laptop really a
- 0:31Speaker 1: critical issue facing Americans today. MSNBC spending ten minutes talking
- 0:37Speaker 1: about how the American people will be furious with the
- 0:40Speaker 1: Republicans if they focus on investigating Hunter Biden, an issue
- 0:45Speaker 1: that many Republicans just don't care about. They're pushing this
- 0:50Speaker 1: as they have a headline. McCarthy faces a tough path
- 0:54Speaker 1: for the speakership. Right, They want you to think that
- 0:57Speaker 1: there's chaos around the Republican Party, around Free Corner. They've
- 1:01Speaker 1: already written the book, don't fall for this. Joe Walsh,
- 1:05Speaker 1: who's a guy that used to be a Republican who's
- 1:07Speaker 1: now a useful idiot. MSNBC. He went on TV and
- 1:14Speaker 1: was talking about how this is just going to be
- 1:16Speaker 1: a total disaster for the Republicans, Like, you need to
- 1:19Speaker 1: understand that this is just gonna be total anarchy, This
- 1:22Speaker 1: is gonna be total chaos. You need to understand how
- 1:26Speaker 1: bad this is going to be. And the Republicans arena
- 1:28Speaker 1: are gonna screw this up at a level that you've
- 1:31Speaker 1: never seen. That's the line that they're going with, and
- 1:38Speaker 1: everybody else and TV is doing the same thing. Wow,
- 1:41Speaker 1: that Hunter Biden is just not what we need to
- 1:43Speaker 1: be focusing on here. And they're going to tell you
- 1:46Speaker 1: that the Republican Party is in total shambles even though
- 1:49Speaker 1: we just won back the House. Are we in shambles? No?
- 1:53Speaker 1: Are there different people that don't always agree with each other,
- 1:55Speaker 1: just like in the Democratic Party. Absolutely, But does that
- 1:59Speaker 1: mean that we don't have an agenda? No? Does that
- 2:01Speaker 1: mean we're in shambles? No? Is it stupid to say
- 2:05Speaker 1: that we are in shambles when in fact we are
- 2:07Speaker 1: not in shambles? Yes, but when the media sees an opportunity, right,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and they understand Now in the new year, all right,
- 2:14Speaker 1: we got to paint a picture. We have to paint
- 2:17Speaker 1: a picture of total chaos. We have to paint a
- 2:20Speaker 1: picture of total of total insanity. We have to paint
- 2:24Speaker 1: a picture that looks like it is a disaster no
- 2:26Speaker 1: matter what happens. That everything is bad everything, everything is
- 2:31Speaker 1: bad news. Right, everything is bad news. That's the picture
- 2:38Speaker 1: you must paint. And if you don't paint it, then
- 2:42Speaker 1: you've got a real problem because Republicans could actually get
- 2:46Speaker 1: some momentum, Republicans could actually get some success, Republicans can
- 2:53Speaker 1: actually move forward in a way with an agenda. So
- 2:56Speaker 1: how do you derail that? This is what you do
- 2:58Speaker 1: the Saint This is no different than the playbook that
- 3:00Speaker 1: they had against Donald Trump. Right, we'll say that he's
- 3:03Speaker 1: coluding with the Russians, will lie and slander, and we'll
- 3:07Speaker 1: tell people all of these types of lives. We went
- 3:09Speaker 1: over that in the biggest lives of last year. Remember
- 3:12Speaker 1: it was worse than Watergate, the cover up at the
- 3:15Speaker 1: White House with these seven hours of missing phone calls
- 3:17Speaker 1: in January the six Remember that story that never happened.
- 3:21Speaker 1: That was another example of a made up, fake moment
- 3:25Speaker 1: from the media just to try to derail the agenda
- 3:29Speaker 1: of the Republican Party. So January one, this is their
- 3:34Speaker 1: game plan. You need to understand it. They started on
- 3:37Speaker 1: January the first. All right, people are starting to pay
- 3:40Speaker 1: attention again. It's a Monday. Let's move forward with this
- 3:43Speaker 1: and then we'll do it on Tuesday and Wednesday and
- 3:44Speaker 1: Thursday and Friday, and we'll set the narrative that the
- 3:46Speaker 1: Republican Parties is in chaos and in civil war. Take
- 3:49Speaker 1: a listen to MSNBC. Donna said, the Republicans have no agenda,
- 3:55Speaker 1: and you're going to see two years of utter chaos
- 3:58Speaker 1: trying to investigate Hunter, laptop and everything like that, which
- 4:03Speaker 1: is just going to anger the American people more. Well,
- 4:05Speaker 1: I was going to ask you about that representative while
- 4:07Speaker 1: how do you get to govern and what do you
- 4:08Speaker 1: think governing looks like in this GOP. Do they have
- 4:11Speaker 1: any sort of you think big bills that they might
- 4:13Speaker 1: be able to pass through because obviously they're going to
- 4:15Speaker 1: have to work with Democrats to do that. No, there's
- 4:17Speaker 1: no agenda. There's no legislative agenda. Their agenda for the
- 4:22Speaker 1: next two years is revenge and it's investigate everything Democrats
- 4:27Speaker 1: have done for the last two or three years. That's
- 4:29Speaker 1: all they're going to do, and that will hurt them,
- 4:33Speaker 1: as it should. With the American people and representative. Where
- 4:36Speaker 1: does that leave Democrats then, well, I think it puts
- 4:38Speaker 1: Democrats in a great position. You're not going to see Democrats,
- 4:41Speaker 1: for example, if there's a select committee called Democrats are
- 4:45Speaker 1: not going to essue the opportunity to participate fully in
- 4:48Speaker 1: that process. On these committees like Oversight Government Reform, you're
- 4:53Speaker 1: going to see a chairman Minority Leader Jamie Raskin really
- 4:58Speaker 1: going toe to toe with Republican going toe to toe
- 5:01Speaker 1: with them on the Judiciary Committee. They Democrats are not
- 5:04Speaker 1: going to leave any stones on turn when it comes
- 5:06Speaker 1: to challenging. I love this. This is a Again. The
- 5:10Speaker 1: first thing says they have no agenda, right, the Republicans
- 5:14Speaker 1: have no agenda. That's that's a lie. We just won
- 5:16Speaker 1: back the House by having a very clear agenda that
- 5:19Speaker 1: we laid out. Then they say that there's a civil
- 5:22Speaker 1: war happening within the Republican party. That's also not true.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Are there people that disagree with who should be the speaker? Yes?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Does that mean you're in a civil war? No, Republicans
- 5:33Speaker 1: are actually use our brains right. We don't just get
- 5:37Speaker 1: in line and coalesce behind one person without asking questions.
- 5:40Speaker 1: That doesn't mean that you're having a civil war. Doesn't
- 5:43Speaker 1: mean that it's chaos. Is they just described it? Okay,
- 5:47Speaker 1: let's be very very clear. They have no agenda, they
- 5:50Speaker 1: have no plan, they have nothing on the future. Again,
- 5:53Speaker 1: all of these things are lies. But then you go
- 5:56Speaker 1: back to other things. And when I say of things,
- 6:00Speaker 1: let me explain what I mean by other things. You
- 6:03Speaker 1: look at the headlines here. The headlines are also pushing
- 6:08Speaker 1: this narrative. Charlotte Observer, the Hunter Biden laptop really? Is
- 6:12Speaker 1: the Hunter Biden laptop really a critical issue facing America today?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Do the American people actually care about this? No, they
- 6:19Speaker 1: say what they do care about is helping refugees. They
- 6:23Speaker 1: want you to believe that the southern border is wide
- 6:27Speaker 1: open for a reason. In this op ed claiming that
- 6:31Speaker 1: Republicans should not be talking about the Hunter Biden laptop
- 6:34Speaker 1: or investigating it, they actually write it's time to quote
- 6:39Speaker 1: help refugees. The author says, in my family, we remember
- 6:44Speaker 1: my mother and grandfather at this time of year was
- 6:47Speaker 1: eighty one years ago the coldest European winner of the
- 6:50Speaker 1: twentieth century, that they slipped out of Nazi occupied Brussels
- 6:54Speaker 1: with the help of a smuggler. After a train ride
- 6:57Speaker 1: in which a priest in their compartment was removed by
- 7:00Speaker 1: the Gestapo and a night in a hotel filled with
- 7:03Speaker 1: German soldiers, they were put on a bus the evening
- 7:07Speaker 1: of December the thirty first, nineteen forty one. Before they
- 7:11Speaker 1: reached the line of demarcation, they were told to get
- 7:14Speaker 1: off and head through the woods and bitter cold. They
- 7:17Speaker 1: crossed into France, walked to the nearest town, where they
- 7:21Speaker 1: were arrested but not deported back to Germany. So let
- 7:27Speaker 1: me get this straight. The Democratic Party in the news
- 7:29Speaker 1: media now are trying to tell you that what is
- 7:32Speaker 1: happening at the southern border right now is not an
- 7:35Speaker 1: issue that should be looked at as a problem with
- 7:42Speaker 1: an open border and legal immigrants, but it should be
- 7:44Speaker 1: looked at through the eyes of World War two. And
- 7:48Speaker 1: these people are going to be murdered, brutally murdered, executed,
- 7:57Speaker 1: put into gas chambers and gas to death. That's what
- 8:04Speaker 1: they're wanting you to believe right now, if we don't
- 8:12Speaker 1: allow them into America. They're claiming that our open southern
- 8:17Speaker 1: borders justified because there's Nazis on the other side. They're
- 8:20Speaker 1: trying to kill all these people coming across the southern border.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You really can't make this up. You really can't. This
- 8:30Speaker 1: is their line. This is how far they're willing to
- 8:33Speaker 1: go to try to manipulate the American people. And we
- 8:36Speaker 1: knew this because we've seen how far the deep state
- 8:38Speaker 1: has been willing to go to manipulate the American people
- 8:41Speaker 1: through the Twitter files. What we found with these Twitter
- 8:44Speaker 1: files is unbelievable that the FBI is sending lists of
- 8:48Speaker 1: people they want a silence, who are doing too good
- 8:51Speaker 1: of a job in the conservative movement of telling the truth.
- 8:56Speaker 1: The story is playing out at our southern border. The
- 8:58Speaker 1: writer goes on to say this again their argument in
- 9:02Speaker 1: writing of why Republicans should not investigate the hunter by
- 9:05Speaker 1: the laptop as you gather with your families to celebrate
- 9:09Speaker 1: the holidays in the warmth of your home. See, you're
- 9:12Speaker 1: an evil person. Now remember the refugees on the border,
- 9:17Speaker 1: where nighttime temperatures are falling into the load twenties. We
- 9:21Speaker 1: have a moral obligation to help these people, and we
- 9:24Speaker 1: should not deport them back to the violence and despair
- 9:28Speaker 1: of their homelands. America largely turn its back on refugees
- 9:32Speaker 1: in the nineteen forties. We need to welcome them now.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So there it is. That's what Republicans should be they
- 9:40Speaker 1: claim working on. This is in the Yahoo News headline here. Now,
- 9:47Speaker 1: when you see this in writing, you understand that the
- 9:51Speaker 1: media is no longer a media that you should trust.
- 9:56Speaker 1: It is one hundred percent propaganda for the government. It
- 10:01Speaker 1: is a tool of the Democratic Party, plain and simple.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Kamala Harris. By the way, if you think she's got
- 10:08Speaker 1: a bunch of compassion for the people coming across the border,
- 10:11Speaker 1: she doesn't. They've been dropped off out of buses in
- 10:14Speaker 1: front of her house on Christmas Eve. She didn't do anything.
- 10:16Speaker 1: She didn't feed them, she didn't bring them into her home.
- 10:19Speaker 1: She didn't go out and check on them, she didn't
- 10:21Speaker 1: bring them blankets. She didn't do anything. In fact, you
- 10:25Speaker 1: want to know what Kamala Harris is really like. A
- 10:28Speaker 1: new exclusive has come out saying that Kamala Harris is
- 10:31Speaker 1: now requiring COVID tests for anyone over the age of
- 10:35Speaker 1: two years old to participate in Senate swearing in photos.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So you get elected to the Senate and you're about
- 10:44Speaker 1: to be sworn in, you gotta have COVID tests for
- 10:47Speaker 1: your two year old Vice President Harris said, otherwise, she's
- 10:51Speaker 1: not doing it. She's requiring any senator or family member
- 10:56Speaker 1: or guests of a Senator wishing to take a photo
- 10:58Speaker 1: with her at Tuesday swearing in ceremonies for the new
- 11:01Speaker 1: Congress to have a negative coronavirus test taken within twenty
- 11:04Speaker 1: four hours of the picture. The US Senate Sergeant Arms
- 11:07Speaker 1: Protocol blasted out a message on Thursday to all offices
- 11:11Speaker 1: knowing that Harris's office is quote requiring the coronavirus test
- 11:15Speaker 1: before taking photos of the Vice President quote. The Vice
- 11:19Speaker 1: President's office is request that we send their standard COVID
- 11:22Speaker 1: nineteen protocol information to offices participating in the reenactment opportunity
- 11:28Speaker 1: in the old Senate Chamber. Please see their suggested process below.
- 11:32Speaker 1: The Senate Sergeant Arms Protocol officers sending the email, obtained
- 11:36Speaker 1: by bright Bar News. We look forward to welcoming all
- 11:38Speaker 1: centers and their families to the reenactment opportunity on January
- 11:42Speaker 1: the third. The email forwarded a message from the Director
- 11:46Speaker 1: of Legislative Affairs in the Office of the Vice President,
- 11:48Speaker 1: which the senior Harris staffer relayed the coronavirus testing requirements well,
- 11:55Speaker 1: look forward to welcoming your senator on January third ceremonial
- 11:59Speaker 1: reenactment incoming in newly reelected centers in the Old Senate Chamber.
- 12:04Speaker 1: As you are aware, White House COVID nineteen protocol requires
- 12:07Speaker 1: in anyone over two years of age who will interact
- 12:11Speaker 1: with the Vice President to take a medically administered test
- 12:15Speaker 1: within twenty four hours prior to interaction receive a negative result.
- 12:20Speaker 1: This policy applies regardless of vaccine status. Oh, I guess
- 12:24Speaker 1: that doesn't matter anymore, right. The White House staff are
- 12:28Speaker 1: continued with their message by noting that both incoming and
- 12:31Speaker 1: returning centers, their spouses and other guests who will participate
- 12:35Speaker 1: in the ceremonial swearing in reenactment in the Old Senate
- 12:38Speaker 1: Chamber may take a coronavirus test on the morning of
- 12:44Speaker 1: January the third in a US Senate office building, or
- 12:47Speaker 1: submit the negative results of a medically administered test email
- 12:51Speaker 1: to a White House specific email address before nine am
- 12:55Speaker 1: on January third, that the test must be taken within
- 12:58Speaker 1: twenty four hours before one pm on January third, twenty
- 13:01Speaker 1: twenty three. They're not screwing around, folks. At the beginning
- 13:06Speaker 1: of the new Congress. Senators are sworn in officially, and
- 13:08Speaker 1: there is a separate ceremony or reenactment of the swearing
- 13:11Speaker 1: end for senators to take photographs of the Vice President
- 13:13Speaker 1: United States of America, whose constitutional duties include presiding over
- 13:17Speaker 1: the Upper Chamber of Congress. Often, sentators families and close
- 13:20Speaker 1: friends also attend the ceremonies, including their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Many senators have young children and grandchildren, and several US
- 13:27Speaker 1: Senate sources have said they are uneasy with the coronavirus
- 13:32Speaker 1: testing requirements on their young family members. Doesn't matter because
- 13:37Speaker 1: this is what Kamala Harris is saying we need to
- 13:39Speaker 1: do right now. Kevin McCarthy, by the way, has come
- 13:43Speaker 1: out saying for all these idiots that claim, hey, there's
- 13:47Speaker 1: nothing that the Republicans do, there's no agenda here for
- 13:50Speaker 1: the Republican Party. If you believe that you're a liar, Okay,
- 13:55Speaker 1: there is an agenda here. Kevin McCarthy has said that
- 14:00Speaker 1: it's very clear what their agenda will be. During an
- 14:03Speaker 1: appearance on Fox News Channel, the House Republican leader Ken
- 14:06Speaker 1: McCarty teased Congress about their immediate action of what their
- 14:12Speaker 1: agenda will actually be I want you to hear what
- 14:15Speaker 1: he had to say about the agenda that you can expect,
- 14:18Speaker 1: including getting rid of those IRS agents. Take a listen
- 14:22Speaker 1: me now, mister Leader. Good to see you. So what's
- 14:25Speaker 1: gonna happen. What's going to happen with the Speaker's race
- 14:27Speaker 1: next Tuesday? Give me your take. Well, I think we
- 14:29Speaker 1: all come together. We made great progress today. We've been
- 14:31Speaker 1: working on the rules. People want to see a different
- 14:33Speaker 1: rule package, open it back up. We've done from seventy
- 14:36Speaker 1: two hours a church style and to be able to
- 14:39Speaker 1: investigate the FBI and others. You've watched this new ability
- 14:43Speaker 1: to bring more votes bills onto the floor and an
- 14:46Speaker 1: open process. I think this is all healthy. You watched
- 14:49Speaker 1: you know Morgan Griffith, who's really cares about the rules.
- 14:51Speaker 1: He came out in supporting me today based upon the
- 14:53Speaker 1: progress that we've made along here. So I think everyone
- 14:56Speaker 1: will get there at the end of the day. But
- 14:57Speaker 1: we have to if we want to save the American public.
- 15:00Speaker 1: We're the only ones in the forefront to stop these
- 15:03Speaker 1: Democrat liberal policies. Think about it. In the four years
- 15:06Speaker 1: that I've been leader, we've won every cycle. But we've
- 15:09Speaker 1: won while the other Republicans, the governors, the senators. They've lost.
- 15:12Speaker 1: So we need to be able to come together strong
- 15:15Speaker 1: to stop what the Democrats are doing, but actually put
- 15:18Speaker 1: the country in a new path, in a new place,
- 15:21Speaker 1: get some prosperity moving, get our economy moving again, get
- 15:24Speaker 1: our border secure, and also bring that accountability back to
- 15:27Speaker 1: Washington we all craved so deeply about so, mister leader,
- 15:30Speaker 1: I had a chance to serve with you when I
- 15:31Speaker 1: was in Congress, and everyone who sees you on TV
- 15:33Speaker 1: you're a nice guy. You're a friendly guy. You got
- 15:35Speaker 1: a great smile. But it's fascinating a lot of liberals
- 15:38Speaker 1: don't seem to like you. And the closer that this
- 15:40Speaker 1: election gets, the more they hate you. Whether it's Elon
- 15:43Speaker 1: Omar and Nancy Pelosi, Adams Shift, Liz Cheney. They all
- 15:48Speaker 1: don't like Kevin McCarthy. Why do these liberals hate you
- 15:51Speaker 1: so much? Well, first of all, Nancy hates me because
- 15:53Speaker 1: I beat her. Right, we wanted to fire Nancy Pelosi.
- 15:56Speaker 1: We just did that by winning the majority. Omar and
- 15:58Speaker 1: the others, I'll stand up to them. Adam Shift is
- 16:02Speaker 1: not going to be on the Intel Committee. Omar is
- 16:04Speaker 1: not going to be sitting on foreign affairs. But more importantly,
- 16:07Speaker 1: they want to have gas price high. I'm going to
- 16:09Speaker 1: make sure who are energy independent the price is low.
- 16:12Speaker 1: They want to open border, No, I'm going to stand
- 16:15Speaker 1: up and make sure this border is secure. You watch
- 16:17Speaker 1: what they want to do to mandate the vaccine or
- 16:19Speaker 1: on the men and women. I was able to pull
- 16:21Speaker 1: that out of the NDAA, so no longer you're kicking
- 16:24Speaker 1: men and women out of our military. These are the
- 16:27Speaker 1: type of things I'll stand up with when they want
- 16:29Speaker 1: to do their runaway spending that omni, I'll speak on
- 16:32Speaker 1: the floor, the longest speech ever on the floor given
- 16:35Speaker 1: why because I will stand up to their liberals policies
- 16:38Speaker 1: of what they're doing. Because this country is too important
- 16:41Speaker 1: about it and we've been able to win under this leadership,
- 16:43Speaker 1: and we're going to even be able to win more
- 16:45Speaker 1: for the American public. So Leader McCarthy, the American people.
- 16:48Speaker 1: They didn't give the Senate the majority in this last
- 16:51Speaker 1: election Republicans, but they did give Republicans in the House
- 16:55Speaker 1: the majority. So I'm January third. You know, what is
- 16:58Speaker 1: the first order of business? What a republic is going
- 17:00Speaker 1: to do in the first hundred days That you have
- 17:02Speaker 1: the majority. Great question. The first thing we have to
- 17:05Speaker 1: do is elect our speaker. We can't do anything until
- 17:07Speaker 1: we elect that speaker. If you watch, the White House
- 17:10Speaker 1: is actually pushing back on our investigations, saying we're not
- 17:12Speaker 1: going to give you anything until you get this solved.
- 17:14Speaker 1: So we need to be able to move forward that.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Then on the very first day, the first thing we're
- 17:18Speaker 1: going to do is repeal the eighty seven thousand IRS agents.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Another reason why the Democrats are mad at me. I
- 17:24Speaker 1: think government should be here to help you, not to
- 17:26Speaker 1: go after you. Then we're going to secure our border.
- 17:29Speaker 1: You've got to secure this border. The millions of people
- 17:32Speaker 1: come across to fit and all this killing our children.
- 17:34Speaker 1: We need to work on our economy. That means making
- 17:36Speaker 1: us energy independent. We need to hold this government accountable.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Whereas the origin of COVID began, find out what this
- 17:42Speaker 1: Biden family had done in the process, make sure the
- 17:45Speaker 1: FBI is not going after Americans but actually of going
- 17:48Speaker 1: after crime. We've got so much work behind us, and
- 17:51Speaker 1: we need to start on the very first day. I
- 17:54Speaker 1: love how Kevin McCarthy gives you this game plan. And
- 17:58Speaker 1: if you go back to the first piece of a
- 18:00Speaker 1: year that I played for you. It was the media
- 18:03Speaker 1: saying the Republicans are in total chaos, the Republicans are
- 18:08Speaker 1: in total anarchy. The Republicans are in a melting down
- 18:12Speaker 1: moment here, and they have no agenda. They don't know
- 18:17Speaker 1: what they're doing. They have no clue what's actually going on.
- 18:21Speaker 1: You hear the difference there, right like, did you? I
- 18:24Speaker 1: mean you could? You could literally hear the difference. They're
- 18:28Speaker 1: claiming one thing while doing the complete opposite. The Republicans
- 18:33Speaker 1: have an agenda, so it's the media that it's going
- 18:36Speaker 1: to do everything in Canada derail that agenda because they
- 18:38Speaker 1: know it's clear and they're gonna lie to you and
- 18:40Speaker 1: they're gonna tell you all they're only focusing on Hunter Biden.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Did you notice there Kevin McCarthy didn't mention Hunter Biden.
- 18:47Speaker 1: My point is you can do multiple things at the
- 18:49Speaker 1: same time. You can investigate the crimes that were committed
- 18:55Speaker 1: by Hunter Biden the Biden crime family, while also having
- 18:58Speaker 1: an agenda that was just laid out there and getting
- 19:01Speaker 1: it done. I want to go back real quick to
- 19:05Speaker 1: the Twitter files and just put this into perspective for you.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Some of the Twitter files came out over the holidays
- 19:13Speaker 1: and people weren't paying attention to them. The FBI had
- 19:17Speaker 1: to respond to the Twitter files because they were so damning,
- 19:22Speaker 1: and it was very clear that the company had a
- 19:24Speaker 1: policy of suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story because they
- 19:27Speaker 1: knew it would cost they believe Joe Biden the presidency.
- 19:32Speaker 1: The FBI is now denying seeking to suppress the Hunter
- 19:35Speaker 1: Biden laptop story, even though that's exactly what they did.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Listen to this from Brett Barrett. Fox in the US
- 19:42Speaker 1: is responding to Twitter records released yesterday indicating the bureau
- 19:46Speaker 1: paid millions of dollars to the social media company. The
- 19:50Speaker 1: taxpayer funds were allegedly used to reimburse Twitter for what
- 19:53Speaker 1: was called processing requests from the FBI. Lucas Thomlinson has
- 19:58Speaker 1: details Tonight, FBI officials confirm the agency paid Twitter nearly
- 20:03Speaker 1: three point five million dollars, money critics say was used
- 20:07Speaker 1: to help suppress information, including the New York Posts Hunter
- 20:11Speaker 1: Biden laptop story. Author Michael Shellenberger's first reported the payments
- 20:15Speaker 1: as part of the so called Twitter Files, revealing a
- 20:18Speaker 1: close working relationship between the FBI and the social media giant.
- 20:22Speaker 1: The FBI tells Fox News it was part of routine
- 20:25Speaker 1: reimbursements for Twitter, complying with standard legal requests. I am
- 20:29Speaker 1: happy to report we have collected three million, four or
- 20:32Speaker 1: fifteen thousand, three hundred twenty three dollars since October twenty nineteen,
- 20:36Speaker 1: reports an associate of Jim Baker. In early twenty twenty one, Baker,
- 20:41Speaker 1: Twitter's former deputy general counsel, and before that, the top
- 20:44Speaker 1: FBI lawyer was fired by Elon Musk for his alleged
- 20:48Speaker 1: role in suppressing information. In a statement to Fox News,
- 20:51Speaker 1: the FBI says, quote, the correspondence between the FBI and
- 20:54Speaker 1: Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, long standing,
- 20:58Speaker 1: and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements. It is
- 21:02Speaker 1: unfortunate that conspiracy theorists and others are feeding the American
- 21:06Speaker 1: public misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit
- 21:10Speaker 1: the agency. Republican Congressman Jim Comer says he wants to
- 21:13Speaker 1: know more about an FBI task force focused on social
- 21:17Speaker 1: media content formed after the twenty sixteen election. One way
- 21:21Speaker 1: we could get the FBI in front of the committee
- 21:23Speaker 1: really quickly. They say, we're not giving you a Penny
- 21:25Speaker 1: until you all come down here and explain to us
- 21:28Speaker 1: what this task force was. Why you told Twitter to
- 21:31Speaker 1: suppress the Hunter Biden lapop slory when you knew darn
- 21:34Speaker 1: well it was true. FBI officials say they did not
- 21:38Speaker 1: provide Twitter with any specific instructions or details regarding the
- 21:42Speaker 1: Hunter Biden laptop story, by the way, that everybody knows
- 21:45Speaker 1: that's alive from these files. They were clearly spiking the
- 21:50Speaker 1: football to say, oh, don't do this. Whatever you do,
- 21:54Speaker 1: don't talk about this, don't let it get out there.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I mean, Byron York put it this way. They said
- 22:02Speaker 1: Twitter did exactly what the FBI wanted them to do
- 22:05Speaker 1: with a Hunter Biden laptop story. And that's exactly right.
- 22:09Speaker 1: It appears that way. You know, for a lot of conservatives,
- 22:12Speaker 1: especially Joel Roth, who was the chief censor at Twitter,
- 22:16Speaker 1: seemed to be the villain in the story early on.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Now it appears that the FBI is really manipulating him,
- 22:22Speaker 1: that he's actually doing what he thinks the FBI is
- 22:26Speaker 1: telling him to do what would be best. And in
- 22:29Speaker 1: fact it's the FBI that's driving. It's the FBI that's
- 22:32Speaker 1: driving this White House right clearly doesn't believe that the
- 22:41Speaker 1: Hunter Biden probe on Capitol Hill is legitimate. That's also
- 22:44Speaker 1: what they're pushing now from this White House. They're trying
- 22:48Speaker 1: to convince you. Sunday on face the nation, as everybody
- 22:52Speaker 1: was getting ready for the holidays, they put it out
- 22:55Speaker 1: there this way, saying, Wow, they don't think this is
- 22:57Speaker 1: a legitimate issue. They think this is a witch on
- 22:58Speaker 1: the White House. Of course they're going to say that
- 23:01Speaker 1: men are or no indictment. Well, Nancy, the White House
- 23:04Speaker 1: will point out that the US Attorney Delare was a
- 23:06Speaker 1: Trump appointee and that it will ultimately, though still go
- 23:10Speaker 1: to Attorney General Merrick Garland. How is this factoring in
- 23:16Speaker 1: at all to the thinking at the White House? As
- 23:18Speaker 1: we know, the President is making a decision about whether
- 23:21Speaker 1: to run for reelection. He's talking about it over the holidays.
- 23:24Speaker 1: As he said, you can't say that his own son
- 23:29Speaker 1: and what happens next isn't part of some conversation here. Sure,
- 23:33Speaker 1: although he knew that his son would be a likely
- 23:36Speaker 1: target even before he ran the first time, so you
- 23:40Speaker 1: could argue that that was sort of baked into the equation.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I think they're preparing not just for that, but also
- 23:44Speaker 1: for the likelihood that Congressional Republicans are going to start
- 23:48Speaker 1: investigating that laptop. And that's a certainty that Hunter that
- 23:52Speaker 1: Hunter Biden has ever done. Once they take control and
- 23:55Speaker 1: the White House is beefing up their Council's office for
- 23:58Speaker 1: that very reason. And their position right now is when
- 24:01Speaker 1: they think that the investigation is legitimate, they'll cooperate. They
- 24:05Speaker 1: clearly don't believe that the Hunter Biden investigation on capital
- 24:08Speaker 1: is legitimate, but you know they're going to have to
- 24:10Speaker 1: respond to it in some way when it happens. I
- 24:12Speaker 1: love this. I don't think it's legitimate. How do you
- 24:15Speaker 1: even say that with a straight face the way that
- 24:19Speaker 1: it was just said. How do you even say that
- 24:21Speaker 1: the Hunter Biden investigation is not legitimate it with a
- 24:24Speaker 1: straight face. Oh yeah, they believe this. The amount of
- 24:28Speaker 1: evil in this White House, an evil in Big Tech,
- 24:32Speaker 1: and evil with all of those involved in silencing and
- 24:37Speaker 1: suppressing this story is through the roof. So when they
- 24:43Speaker 1: write articles telling you, oh, don't investigate Hunter Biden, that's
- 24:47Speaker 1: exactly when you double down, that's when you go all in.
