- 0:51Speaker 3: talk about, but he also has another book that he
- 0:54Speaker 3: plans on releasing soon to Cut, Lose up to ten
- 0:57Speaker 3: pounds in ten days and Sculpt your best Botty. The
- 1:00Speaker 3: book made him and his co author, A List actor
- 1:03Speaker 3: Morris Chestnut, number one best selling authors, Please work in
- 1:07Speaker 3: the Money Making Conversation Masterclass, Obi Obadki.
- 1:10Speaker 1: How you doing Obi?
- 1:12Speaker 4: I'm doing great man. Thank you for having me all Rashan,
- 1:15Speaker 4: that's a pleasure.
- 1:15Speaker 3: And to be on your show, brother, well, well I
- 1:18Speaker 3: would tell first of all, you call it from where
- 1:20Speaker 3: so we can know where you're at, where you're looking
- 1:22Speaker 3: good at.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Calling from southern California.
- 1:25Speaker 1: O is it cold there? Brother? Is it cold?
- 1:27Speaker 4: I don't know nothing. Look nobody from California just say
- 1:30Speaker 4: they're cold? Okay? When even when it is cold.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Well, I gotta, I gotta get personal before I get
- 1:37Speaker 3: into the story of our relationship. Because uh, it was
- 1:41Speaker 3: I guess was twenty eighteen. I was, Their book came out.
- 1:44Speaker 3: It was twenty eighteen. The book came out.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Correct, correct, I'm sorry, twenty.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Seventeen and the book came out, and uh, and I
- 1:54Speaker 3: had an interview lined up with his co author, Morris
- 1:57Speaker 3: Chestnut about the book and I and I decided myself,
- 2:00Speaker 3: you know something, you know, try.
- 2:02Speaker 1: To book out, just see if it worked.
- 2:05Speaker 3: And I lost ten pounds and I eventually lost twenty
- 2:11Speaker 3: pounds and I and I have not gained that back.
- 2:15Speaker 3: So we talked about five six years and because I remember,
- 2:21Speaker 3: I was like, I got all the way down to
- 2:23Speaker 3: one ninety and I think I started when I was
- 2:27Speaker 3: like about two twenty five something like that. So I
- 2:30Speaker 3: lost a lot of weight and I eventually came back.
- 2:33Speaker 3: So I stayed between one ninety five one ninety nine.
- 2:39Speaker 3: You know, that's my weight loss. And it was because
- 2:41Speaker 3: I read the book. Now, I want to talk about
- 2:44Speaker 3: that book initially before we get into personally getting background
- 2:48Speaker 3: about OBI. Why did you write the book with Morris Chestnut?
- 2:52Speaker 4: So the reason why I wrote it with Morris was,
- 2:55Speaker 4: you know, I obviously helped him get in shape for
- 2:57Speaker 4: a movie. And even though people don't believe that, he
- 3:01Speaker 4: came to me and he was thirty three pounds overweight,
- 3:03Speaker 4: in the worst shape of his life, and I helped
- 3:06Speaker 4: him lose thirty three pounds in twelve weeks, and everybody
- 3:09Speaker 4: was so fascinating with his transformation. What did you do
- 3:12Speaker 4: to get so lean? So then I was like, how
- 3:15Speaker 4: can I think I thought we had something this relationship together.
- 3:20Speaker 4: He was on a magazine cover and everybody was talking
- 3:22Speaker 4: about his weight loss. When he was doing press more
- 3:25Speaker 4: than the movie and the role. So I said, mo, Morris,
- 3:29Speaker 4: I think we got something here. I want to do
- 3:30Speaker 4: a twelve week transformation book, but on the everyday average person.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I don't want to make it where it's you know,
- 3:36Speaker 4: how to get a celebrity in great shape. I want
- 3:40Speaker 4: to make it on everyday average people. So because I'm
- 3:43Speaker 4: in shape and Morris is this celebrity who got lean
- 3:47Speaker 4: and ripped, I didn't think that people could connect. So
- 3:50Speaker 4: I felt, Okay, the best way that people can connect
- 3:52Speaker 4: with a weight loss book or a book about helping
- 3:55Speaker 4: someone get in shape in ninety days is to do
- 3:57Speaker 4: a focus group on everyday average people that need to
- 4:01Speaker 4: lose anywhere from thirty to four to fifty pounds. So
- 4:04Speaker 4: I did a focus group. I put out a focus
- 4:06Speaker 4: group on Facebook and said, anyone that wants to lose
- 4:08Speaker 4: weight for free, message me, and I'm going to help
- 4:11Speaker 4: you lose weight in twelve weeks. And I had them
- 4:15Speaker 4: follow the diet and exercise program that I was going
- 4:18Speaker 4: to create for the book while I was writing a
- 4:20Speaker 4: book at the same time with Morris, and so those
- 4:24Speaker 4: before and afters where are testimonials, They had their unique
- 4:28Speaker 4: stories in the book, and then there before and afters
- 4:31Speaker 4: were on the back cover of the book. So you
- 4:34Speaker 4: had everyday average people that I could transform. You know,
- 4:38Speaker 4: when you're in shape and you're fit, it's so hard
- 4:41Speaker 4: for people to connect and identify with you. But when
- 4:44Speaker 4: you have people that you've actually worked with and transformed
- 4:47Speaker 4: and lose weight, then people can pay attention to you.
- 4:50Speaker 4: And so that's my whole thing, is that I believe
- 4:54Speaker 4: that I was put on this earth for a reason
- 4:55Speaker 4: to really help people get healthy, get healthy, lose weight, exercise,
- 5:00Speaker 4: eat right, and motivate the everyday average person that this
- 5:05Speaker 4: is a requirement if you want to live a long life.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Is it gonna guarantee you from not getting any chronic disease? No,
- 5:12Speaker 4: but it's sure we're lower it will lower the risk
- 5:15Speaker 4: tremendously of any chronic health diseases that could happen as
- 5:19Speaker 4: we age.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Now. The movie that he lost the thirty or three
- 5:23Speaker 1: pounds for was what movie was that?
- 5:26Speaker 4: It was The Best Man Holiday?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Just getting it.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Just want to get your credits out there, brother, you know,
- 5:30Speaker 3: because some people go, how yes, he did look differently
- 5:35Speaker 3: in that movie.
- 5:35Speaker 1: He looks so young.
- 5:36Speaker 3: He looks fantastic now, because they ain't gonna say that
- 5:39Speaker 3: about me because I'm not in a movie. But or
- 5:41Speaker 3: Ah Chestnut is the ageless one between him and Denzel.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 5:45Speaker 3: It's something about what they wherever they're taking baths at.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Somebody need to follow those two guys. Okay, they look
- 5:51Speaker 3: fantastic as they as they age. Now let's let's talk
- 5:54Speaker 3: about the book and how it impacted the individual like me,
- 5:57Speaker 3: because you know, can I ask you this question at
- 6:01Speaker 3: the box, what exactly is a diet?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Obi? What is that?
- 6:05Speaker 4: So you know what the diet is? Basically the type
- 6:09Speaker 4: of food that you would eat that would keep you
- 6:13Speaker 4: accountable to being healthy. So I know the word diet
- 6:17Speaker 4: is a word that people don't like to use. They
- 6:19Speaker 4: rather use healthy food. But obviously it's a it's a plan.
- 6:24Speaker 4: It's an assortment of foods that you would eat regularly,
- 6:29Speaker 4: is part of a normal healthy template staple that you
- 6:33Speaker 4: would follow over time to make sure that you're held
- 6:36Speaker 4: accountable that will help you become healthier. You know. So
- 6:41Speaker 4: it's like hey, if I if I create a diet
- 6:43Speaker 4: program for you, it's like, hey, Rashan, this is what
- 6:45Speaker 4: I want you to eat right, and these are the
- 6:46Speaker 4: type of foods you should eat. These are your options.
- 6:49Speaker 4: And if you eat this and you follow this over time,
- 6:52Speaker 4: you're going to stay healthy and you're going to keep
- 6:53Speaker 4: a healthy weight. You know.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Now, Now the book The Cut Lose up to ten
- 6:58Speaker 3: pounds ten days and sculpt your best body. Now here's
- 7:01Speaker 3: the thing about that book. I if anybody follows me
- 7:04Speaker 3: on my social media, anybody knows me, I am a
- 7:07Speaker 3: guy who likes.
- 7:08Speaker 1: To eat, especially deserts.
- 7:10Speaker 3: I there are tremendous pictures of me eating huge amounts
- 7:14Speaker 3: of food. Before I took the four I had this
- 7:16Speaker 3: book in my life. And when I started looking at
- 7:20Speaker 3: the book, now they have cheats in the book where
- 7:22Speaker 3: you can still eat desserts. You know, you can still
- 7:24Speaker 3: get a little ice cream on, a little cookie on.
- 7:26Speaker 1: That shocked me.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Okay, but what my biggest takeaway was It's created discipline
- 7:33Speaker 3: in my life that I'm telling you, Obi, I still
- 7:35Speaker 3: carry today. I still in my mind, I still not
- 7:40Speaker 3: so much hear your voice, mors voice in my head.
- 7:43Speaker 3: But I learned you guys have trained me to go.
- 7:45Speaker 3: That's enough for shot. You can walk away. And that's
- 7:48Speaker 3: the biggest part that people have in weight gain. They
- 7:51Speaker 3: don't know when to walk away. But your book, that
- 7:54Speaker 3: book trained me mentally how to walk away. That is
- 7:59Speaker 3: why I have not gained the weight back. Like Rebel Wilson.
- 8:02Speaker 3: She just came out and apologized to everybody because she
- 8:05Speaker 3: regained thirty pounds. Why do I have to apologize to anybody.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I've not regained that weight because I'm still carrying the
- 8:12Speaker 3: disciplines of that book the cut lose up to ten
- 8:15Speaker 3: pounds and ten days and scolch your best body, and
- 8:18Speaker 3: it worked.
- 8:22Speaker 4: You know what, man, It makes me feel good man
- 8:25Speaker 4: when I hear that, because I have gotten so many
- 8:28Speaker 4: testimonials for men and women from a lot of women.
- 8:31Speaker 4: To be honest with you said, I lost sixty pounds,
- 8:33Speaker 4: I lost seventy pounds. We had one guy who was
- 8:36Speaker 4: part of our focus group that was obese, and you know,
- 8:40Speaker 4: ninety days wasn't enough for him. So I agreed to
- 8:43Speaker 4: work with him for a year to help him lose
- 8:45Speaker 4: all of this weight, provided that he made himself available
- 8:50Speaker 4: for you know, being a part of inside the book
- 8:53Speaker 4: and any pressed that would be needed to promote the book.
- 8:55Speaker 4: So I work with This guy's name is Mike Hopper,
- 8:58Speaker 4: and I help him lose one hundred and seventeen pounds
- 9:00Speaker 4: in twelve months following the principles of the book. And
- 9:04Speaker 4: then when we did the Steve Harvey Show to promote
- 9:06Speaker 4: the book, he you know, he was. They brought him
- 9:09Speaker 4: over on the show to show his before and after transformation.
- 9:14Speaker 4: And that was probably the transformation to me that really
- 9:19Speaker 4: gave me a tremendous amount of national credibility because this
- 9:23Speaker 4: guy wasn't this guy wasn't overweight, he was obese. And
- 9:26Speaker 4: then also it was great was that all his blood
- 9:29Speaker 4: levels dropped out, cholesterol levels dropped, his blood pressure levels dropped.
- 9:33Speaker 4: His doctor was saying, what are you on? What blood
- 9:36Speaker 4: pressure medication? What cholesterol medication? He said, no, I'm not
- 9:40Speaker 4: on any medication. I just started to follow this this
- 9:43Speaker 4: program from this book. I just started eating right and
- 9:46Speaker 4: exercising and all my all my levels dropped to normal.
- 9:50Speaker 3: You know, well, you know, I have to bring up
- 9:54Speaker 3: another celebrity that this young man Obi has been working
- 9:58Speaker 3: with that played out weight loss in the public's eye.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Unlike Morris Morriage just showed up in shape. This guy
- 10:06Speaker 3: was on TV five days a week and he was
- 10:09Speaker 3: losing weight. And then he made the big announcement. Stephen A.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Smith on ESPN's first take was under your discipline and
- 10:19Speaker 3: I say discipline, weight training, weight gued, what to eat
- 10:23Speaker 3: and all. Let's talk about how the trust that individuals
- 10:27Speaker 3: like this put in your hands to say and.
- 10:30Speaker 1: You deliver results. How are you? Why are you accomplishing that? Obie?
- 10:35Speaker 4: Well, you know what, I think that the number one
- 10:37Speaker 4: thing is when you work with anyone and they get
- 10:41Speaker 4: great results, people talk, right, they talk about you, They
- 10:44Speaker 4: spread your name and your word, and then it goes
- 10:48Speaker 4: to and then it filters and it spreads. And so
- 10:51Speaker 4: I think for me is that anytime someone that high
- 10:54Speaker 4: profile finds out about me, what are they gonna do.
- 10:57Speaker 4: They're gonna google, They're gonna tap in your name and
- 10:59Speaker 4: see if what's out there about you other than this
- 11:03Speaker 4: referral I got. And so for me, because I've written
- 11:07Speaker 4: so many articles, so many health and wellness articles on
- 11:10Speaker 4: every platform you can think of that's online, there's a
- 11:14Speaker 4: lot of content that I've created. You know, you're talking
- 11:17Speaker 4: probably over a thousand articles online and stuff that I've created,
- 11:21Speaker 4: content that I've created over fifteen to twenty years. So
- 11:25Speaker 4: you know, when you use all that content I've created,
- 11:29Speaker 4: and then you know not you can't really find a
- 11:32Speaker 4: bad thing said about me or written about me, and
- 11:35Speaker 4: you've got all this free weight loss content. Then it
- 11:38Speaker 4: just gives you that extra credibility. And I also believe too.
- 11:42Speaker 4: I hate to say it. I know we live in
- 11:44Speaker 4: this vanity society, but people at that level don't want
- 11:48Speaker 4: to work with you unless you look, unless you're in
- 11:50Speaker 4: shape and fit.
- 11:51Speaker 1: You know, you had to go down.
- 11:53Speaker 3: See, we was having a good conversation. Nobody, really do
- 11:56Speaker 3: you have to talk talking about how you've looked?
- 11:59Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I'm gonna tell you him. No, no, no, no,
- 12:01Speaker 1: we'll no. I'm gonna let everybody know. His first name
- 12:04Speaker 1: is spelled.
- 12:04Speaker 3: O b I oh b I O, but d CK
- 12:08Speaker 3: is spelled O B A d I k E oh
- 12:12Speaker 3: b A d I k E.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Just google his.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Name, y'all, just google being his name while we're doing
- 12:19Speaker 3: this interview. I'll give you permission so you can see
- 12:22Speaker 3: why I got a.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Little frown on my face. We was all good.
- 12:26Speaker 3: You know, you gonna see see all lists working something
- 12:29Speaker 3: about you know, people like he kind of in shape
- 12:32Speaker 3: nahn he read the finding in shape you know, he's
- 12:36Speaker 3: type of guy, you know, walking along the beach to
- 12:38Speaker 3: be going, hey, brother, why on my side of the beach?
- 12:41Speaker 3: Why why can't you wear a robe on the beach. Okay,
- 12:45Speaker 3: that's that's Obie, that's Obi. But but the beauty of
- 12:49Speaker 3: it is that he's able to translate that. He's not
- 12:53Speaker 3: trying to get you to look like him. He's just
- 12:56Speaker 3: letting you know. It's like if you get in a
- 12:57Speaker 3: sports car, you want to call to go fast, you
- 13:00Speaker 3: don't want to be puttering along. And his body is
- 13:03Speaker 3: a sports car, but he also knows how to drive
- 13:06Speaker 3: your body to results. And that's the key that I
- 13:10Speaker 3: want to keep reiterating on my side of the plate.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I'm just a regular guy. I really am just a
- 13:15Speaker 3: regular guy.
- 13:16Speaker 1: I work hard.
- 13:17Speaker 3: You know, I'm not in front of anybody's camera. I'm
- 13:20Speaker 3: not an a lister. You know, I'm not jumping on
- 13:23Speaker 3: private jets every because some of his other clients, like
- 13:25Speaker 3: I said, Steve Harvey, Charlie Eversol, Steven A. Smith, other
- 13:29Speaker 3: clients out there. He's been on television, He's won Telly Awards,
- 13:32Speaker 3: he's won he's a he's a TV host so fitness
- 13:37Speaker 3: as well. As everyday shows. So he has had a
- 13:40Speaker 3: career where he's been in front of the camera. And
- 13:43Speaker 3: I always tease him because when I see him, because
- 13:45Speaker 3: you know, you know, brother walk up.
- 13:47Speaker 1: You know he in shape. You know he walk up.
- 13:49Speaker 1: You know he's kind of like mad. But you can't
- 13:51Speaker 1: be mad because you know, get the what God gave
- 13:54Speaker 1: it to him. You know, somebody gotta have it. He
- 13:57Speaker 1: chose my boy. He's a nice guy.
- 13:59Speaker 3: But when you look at the beauty of it, seeing
- 14:02Speaker 3: somebody like stephen A the discipline that he has as
- 14:05Speaker 3: an a list talent on TV five days a week.
- 14:09Speaker 3: He showed that same discipline when you ask him to
- 14:12Speaker 3: do the things he needed to do to lose weight.
- 14:14Speaker 3: And it also improved his health as well.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Correct, Yeah, definitely improved his health. His blood blood work
- 14:22Speaker 4: is normal.
- 14:23Speaker 1: You know.
- 14:23Speaker 4: I think he was close to almost being type two diabetes,
- 14:26Speaker 4: you know. And he worked with Gary Brecker as well
- 14:29Speaker 4: too to help with his blood sugar levels and stuff
- 14:33Speaker 4: like that. And so it was definitely a combination. I
- 14:36Speaker 4: really don't want to take all the credit, but from
- 14:38Speaker 4: a diet and exercise perspective, yes, I definitely was played
- 14:42Speaker 4: my influential part and helping him, you know, get lean
- 14:46Speaker 4: and put on muscle, and I think he dropped over
- 14:48Speaker 4: thirty pounds. His body fat now is I mean, man's
- 14:51Speaker 4: fifty six. His body fat now is ten percent of
- 14:53Speaker 4: this stuffs in.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I got so sick of tie to him, tell him
- 14:55Speaker 3: what his body fat is. I get so I talk
- 14:58Speaker 3: to him every day. I guess sometimes I love you, Obi,
- 15:02Speaker 3: But the monster you've created because he can't talk about
- 15:05Speaker 3: me too bad because I'm older than them.
- 15:06Speaker 1: We go, sure, whatever, man whatever, But when we get.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Back, I want to we're gonna talk about these weight
- 15:14Speaker 3: loss drugs that are really hidding the market, that are
- 15:17Speaker 3: telling people this is hey, just take this drug. Wait gone,
- 15:20Speaker 3: because I wanted I brought Obi on the show to
- 15:22Speaker 3: discuss this. We're not trying to bash. We just want
- 15:25Speaker 3: let everybody know things are being pitched out there. Talk
- 15:29Speaker 3: to your doctor. Don't think it's an easy way to
- 15:32Speaker 3: accomplish anything, especially weight loss. When we get back, with
- 15:35Speaker 3: more money making conversations, Masterclass Talking the top fitness expert
- 15:39Speaker 3: Obie Obadike. Just google his name in the CURSIB commercial break,
- 15:42Speaker 3: just google his name.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Just google this.
- 15:49Speaker 5: We'll be right back with more money making Conversations Masterclass
- 15:53Speaker 5: with Rushawn McDonald.
- 15:55Speaker 3: My guess is Obie Obadike. He co authored a best
- 15:58Speaker 3: selling book, Await Life off book called The Cut Lose
- 16:01Speaker 3: up to ten pounds in ten days and Sculpt your
- 16:03Speaker 3: best body. That book is still available on Amazon if
- 16:07Speaker 3: you want to go google it, as well as images
- 16:10Speaker 3: of him throughout the internet world. You know, just making
- 16:14Speaker 3: us all look bad. But that's all right. I love
- 16:16Speaker 3: this brother. His book enabled me to sustain the shape
- 16:21Speaker 3: that I am. I'm still wearing the same clothes I've
- 16:23Speaker 3: been wearing. I have not had any In fact, I
- 16:27Speaker 3: had to reduce my clothes. I had to take my
- 16:29Speaker 3: clothes up. Obi because of the fact that your diet worked.
- 16:33Speaker 3: I want to ask you question, can you still eat?
- 16:36Speaker 3: I can answer this question, but I'm going to talk
- 16:38Speaker 3: here the general public and also hear from an expert.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Can you still eat what you want and still lose weight?
- 16:45Speaker 1: Yes?
- 16:45Speaker 4: You can. You definitely can because and the reason why
- 16:48Speaker 4: you can is because when you're losing weight, to lose weight,
- 16:53Speaker 4: you need to be in a coloric deficit. What that
- 16:55Speaker 4: means is that you have to be burning mortality than
- 16:57Speaker 4: your consuming. So I know people don't want to hear this,
- 17:00Speaker 4: but it always will come down to calories. So let's
- 17:03Speaker 4: just say that maybe say you're consuming fifteen hundred calories
- 17:09Speaker 4: a day, and four to five hundred those calories is
- 17:12Speaker 4: a cheap meal. Okay, so that cheat meal, if you
- 17:16Speaker 4: consume that cheat meal, but you're still within that fifteen
- 17:19Speaker 4: hundred calories, and that still puts you in a deficit
- 17:22Speaker 4: and you're gonna lose weight. The only thing about it
- 17:25Speaker 4: is that if you consume a high amount of you know,
- 17:29Speaker 4: cheat cheap meals, then obviously it's going to be unhealthy internally.
- 17:34Speaker 4: It's gonna affect your you know, your your cholesterol levels,
- 17:38Speaker 4: your blood sugar levels, stuff like that. So yes, you can,
- 17:42Speaker 4: but you just the most important thing is to be
- 17:44Speaker 4: able to have the discipline to use it as a
- 17:47Speaker 4: reward for eating healthy, you know, through healthy throughout the weekend.
- 17:53Speaker 4: I love the rule of the eighty twenty rule. I'll
- 17:56Speaker 4: even say seventy thirty rule. Okay, say for someone that
- 17:59Speaker 4: wants to gain a little bit more indulgent, more cookies
- 18:02Speaker 4: and you know, you know you Rashan, You're a baker, right,
- 18:05Speaker 4: you love your cakes and your cookies and all that,
- 18:08Speaker 4: all right, I'm gonna move with the seventy thirty for you.
- 18:12Speaker 4: All right, Well you can thirty percent of the time indulged.
- 18:15Speaker 4: You still can still maintain a healthy weight even doing
- 18:18Speaker 4: seventy thirty. Hell, you can even do it sixty forty,
- 18:21Speaker 4: provided that you're exercising. You still gotta move right, right,
- 18:24Speaker 4: You still got to burn the calories. You can't just
- 18:26Speaker 4: stay sedentary, you know.
- 18:28Speaker 3: You know, it's really important. Like I said, I'm over sixty,
- 18:32Speaker 3: you know, and stretching.
- 18:34Speaker 4: You don't look at my brother.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I appreciate it.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I appreciate it coming from you. Google his body. Just
- 18:41Speaker 3: google his body. Okay, now that's a compliment coming from him.
- 18:44Speaker 3: But I've learned, like you said, you know, is two steps.
- 18:48Speaker 3: You know, there's a diet plan, but there's always an
- 18:50Speaker 3: exercise plan. And as you get older, stretching plays a
- 18:55Speaker 3: major role, especially as you get older. And I know
- 18:59Speaker 3: that you talk about stretching in your book because you
- 19:02Speaker 3: have images in this particular book.
- 19:04Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about the future book.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I haven't been written yet, but it's gonna be another
- 19:08Speaker 3: book coming out, and I'm going to have every quarter
- 19:10Speaker 3: you're gonna hear from Obi coming on this show on
- 19:13Speaker 3: my platform talking about because we want to start walking
- 19:16Speaker 3: you guys through.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I know people always talk about.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Hey, you know, I'm gonna lose weight, and then come
- 19:22Speaker 3: Valentine's Day that on that was so hyper and waving
- 19:25Speaker 3: around like you're on the old or Senior Hall show,
- 19:27Speaker 3: starts losing juice and then come Mother's Day, it's down
- 19:31Speaker 3: by side with a hamburg in his hand, you know so,
- 19:33Speaker 3: and that's what you're using the take up to your mouth.
- 19:36Speaker 3: We want to stay in the motivational mode with you throughout.
- 19:39Speaker 1: The whole year.
- 19:39Speaker 3: And I asked Obie before he got on the call,
- 19:42Speaker 3: would he come on my show every quality He's brother
- 19:44Speaker 3: for you. I do anything because out there now of
- 19:47Speaker 3: these weight loss drugs, they're dominating the industry.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Educate us on what they are.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I'm not trying to put you in a pharmaceutical a doctor,
- 19:57Speaker 3: but what are they?
- 19:59Speaker 4: So you know, Ozeenpic is real popular, which is considered
- 20:02Speaker 4: a type two diabetes drug and people will take this,
- 20:07Speaker 4: you know, to help with the type two diabetes. But
- 20:10Speaker 4: one of the side effects is weight loss. Okay, so
- 20:12Speaker 4: what it does is suppresses your appetite, It makes you
- 20:16Speaker 4: it makes you not hungry, all right, And so one
- 20:20Speaker 4: of the side effects when they were experimenting with this
- 20:23Speaker 4: is people losing a lot of weight. And it's been
- 20:26Speaker 4: a and it's not considered it's not supposed to be
- 20:28Speaker 4: a weight loss drug. It's supposed to be a type
- 20:30Speaker 4: two diabetes drug. And one of the side effects is
- 20:32Speaker 4: weight loss. But this is the problem, is that people
- 20:37Speaker 4: are gaining weight back, gaining the weight back once they
- 20:40Speaker 4: stop ozempics, you know. And then there's there's a lot
- 20:43Speaker 4: of side effects that this as well too that people
- 20:45Speaker 4: need to be aware of, you know, like nausea, fatigue, dizzyness, diarrheta,
- 20:51Speaker 4: excuse me, diarrhea, dumbach pain, you know, heart pain.
- 20:56Speaker 3: So you're saying this, let me get this straight with
- 20:58Speaker 3: to get you straight with, Jobe, You're saying, like I
- 21:00Speaker 3: told you, I read your book in twenty seventeen, okay,
- 21:04Speaker 3: and I've been consistently following the mantra of your book.
- 21:07Speaker 1: It stays on my desk.
- 21:08Speaker 3: If I forget something, I get a little note can
- 21:10Speaker 3: I eat that I can open my book. If in
- 21:13Speaker 3: this case, if you have this drug that was that
- 21:16Speaker 3: came out of it as a side effect for diabetes,
- 21:19Speaker 3: you have to stay on that drug.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Correct, Yeah, wow, you got you definitely have to stand.
- 21:25Speaker 4: I think the thing about it is this is that
- 21:28Speaker 4: you can take a drug, but it still doesn't teach
- 21:30Speaker 4: you lifestyle habits. You still have to you still have
- 21:34Speaker 4: to you still have to eat foods, you still have
- 21:36Speaker 4: to eat enough food, you still have to exercise, and
- 21:38Speaker 4: so you know, when people are reliant on a drug
- 21:42Speaker 4: or a peal and negates the habits that just post
- 21:45Speaker 4: to execute consistently to be able to keep the weight off. Yeah, well,
- 21:49Speaker 4: it's great to be able to lose weight, but what
- 21:52Speaker 4: you know, it sucks when you have to when you
- 21:54Speaker 4: gain it back once you get off the drug, and
- 21:56Speaker 4: now all of a sudden you don't have the appetite
- 21:59Speaker 4: suppression effect anymore, you know what I mean, the pharmaceutical
- 22:02Speaker 4: appetite suppression effects. You know. So I am. I'm not
- 22:06Speaker 4: somebody who's going to tell someone not to get on
- 22:08Speaker 4: those ethics if they need it, But well, what I
- 22:12Speaker 4: would say is that if you are going to get
- 22:13Speaker 4: on something like that, be mindful of the side effects.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Make sure that you use that as an opportunity to eat, right,
- 22:21Speaker 4: to exercise and move. So when you are able to
- 22:24Speaker 4: get off of the drug, which you're going to have
- 22:26Speaker 4: to get off at some point in time, you still
- 22:29Speaker 4: are incorporating positive lifestyle habits that enables you to keep
- 22:33Speaker 4: the weight off and not really gain and gain a
- 22:36Speaker 4: minimal amount of weight back if that happens.
- 22:39Speaker 3: We have a couple of minutes left in the show, Obi,
- 22:41Speaker 3: and I want to talk about your majority owner of
- 22:44Speaker 3: a health and wellness supplement company called Ethical Ink that
- 22:47Speaker 3: you go on with actor Morris Chestnut.
- 22:50Speaker 1: What exactly is it?
- 22:52Speaker 3: And that, to my understanding, is available online at best
- 22:55Speaker 3: Buy correct correct?
- 22:56Speaker 4: Right? We have as you can go to bed ad
- 23:00Speaker 4: buys site to purchase any of our products, or you
- 23:03Speaker 4: can go to ethical ink dot com. We actually have
- 23:06Speaker 4: a great special right now. We're actually offering a free
- 23:10Speaker 4: thirty and sixty day exercised ebook if you purchase our
- 23:13Speaker 4: appetite suppressant product. And for me, even though I own
- 23:18Speaker 4: a supplement company, I don't want to be the person
- 23:21Speaker 4: saying pop a pill and you're gonna lose weight. So
- 23:24Speaker 4: what I what I thought of was that if you
- 23:26Speaker 4: buy any product from us, a weight loss product like
- 23:29Speaker 4: Appetite suppressed and a multi vitamin probiotics post workout. I
- 23:33Speaker 4: want to give you a free thirty day exercise diet
- 23:38Speaker 4: ebook to give you the tools to do what's necessary.
- 23:42Speaker 4: So it's not like I'm telling you to take this
- 23:45Speaker 4: pill and you're going to lose weight. That's not going
- 23:47Speaker 4: to happen. But if you exercise and eat right and
- 23:50Speaker 4: you take an appetite suppression product to help control the
- 23:53Speaker 4: discipline of you indulging too much or overeating, you combine
- 23:58Speaker 4: everything of that collectibly together, that's going to help to
- 24:01Speaker 4: manage your weight. So ethical link is really about true.
- 24:04Speaker 4: We invest a lot of money and a lot of
- 24:06Speaker 4: free health and wellness content. We published about twenty five
- 24:10Speaker 4: to thirty brand new health and wellness articles on that
- 24:13Speaker 4: platform per month, So whether you buy a product from
- 24:16Speaker 4: us or not, we're still going to educate you for free.
- 24:19Speaker 4: And that's always been my approach as a health and
- 24:21Speaker 4: wellness professional and expert.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Wow again, Obi, thank you and thank you for accepting
- 24:28Speaker 3: my invite to come on my platform Money Making Conversations
- 24:31Speaker 3: master Class to you know, save lives. That's what we're doing.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Brother.
- 24:35Speaker 3: You know the hut blood pressure, you know diabetes. The
- 24:38Speaker 3: black community was victim was a victim of COVID because
- 24:42Speaker 3: of bad diet habits, because of bad eating habits, and
- 24:46Speaker 3: we don't want that to happen again. And we have
- 24:48Speaker 3: a tool here. I have a voice now and I
- 24:50Speaker 3: want to use that voice to save lives within our community.
- 24:53Speaker 3: And I want to thank you for taking the time
- 24:55Speaker 3: for coming on Money Making Conversations master Class, mister Obi Obadik.

- 25:09Speaker 3: It won't be accomplished, but I might put them on
- 25:10Speaker 3: the fake Suto.

- 25:14Speaker 1: the show, mo brother. I love you man and my fans.

- 25:27Speaker 3: Thank you for watching that show as well. But uh,
