- 1:31Speaker 5: I got to turn the mouse turn. You probably got
- 1:44Speaker 5: to turn the mouth.
- 1:46Speaker 1: The money up.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you think.
- 2:01Speaker 6: Huh?
- 2:02Speaker 2: I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are listening to
- 2:05Speaker 2: the voice, Come on dig me now. One and only.
- 2:08Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah, man, Steve Harvey
- 2:13Speaker 7: got a radio show. Trying to do something with it too. Man.
- 2:17Speaker 6: You know.
- 2:18Speaker 7: I was having a conversation the other day with a
- 2:22Speaker 7: young person and they were telling me how they felt
- 2:26Speaker 7: that their life was stuck, that their life was in
- 2:28Speaker 7: a rut, that they didn't know what to do next.
- 2:34Speaker 7: And one of the things that was causing them this
- 2:38Speaker 7: sadness or this depression. I mean, they're really really into
- 2:41Speaker 7: something right now. One of the things that was causing
- 2:44Speaker 7: it was the fact that they had made a list
- 2:50Speaker 7: of things they wanted to accomplish by a certain age, and.
- 2:56Speaker 2: That age they just had a birthday recently, and they
- 3:02Speaker 2: were looking at the list.
- 3:04Speaker 7: And the list hadn't been fulfilled, and because that list
- 3:09Speaker 7: hadn't been fulfilled, they were really really sad about it.
- 3:16Speaker 6: You know.
- 3:17Speaker 7: One of the things that they had on the list
- 3:21Speaker 7: was marriage, kids, and I don't know everything else that
- 3:26Speaker 7: was on the list, but that was one of them.
- 3:29Speaker 7: And because she had reached a certain age and she
- 3:31Speaker 7: wasn't married, and she didn't have the kids, and she
- 3:34Speaker 7: had just celebrated a birthday, she's gone into this mode
- 3:40Speaker 7: of sadness where it's really really taken a toll on her.
- 3:45Speaker 7: And as I was learning about her situation, I was
- 3:51Speaker 7: thinking about it, and I just wanted to share this
- 3:55Speaker 7: with you all this morning that one of the things
- 3:58Speaker 7: about making a list about what you want, which I
- 4:01Speaker 7: happen to be a proponent of, I do it myself.
- 4:05Speaker 7: People have dream boards. I have a goal sheet. I've
- 4:08Speaker 7: been doing it for years. It's a wonderful way to
- 4:12Speaker 7: set goals and to keep it in front of you
- 4:15Speaker 7: as a constant reminder. And I always go over this
- 4:18Speaker 7: gold list every day, you know. I mean I go
- 4:20Speaker 7: with it all the time every day. Sometimes I miss
- 4:24Speaker 7: a day here and there, but mostly every day I
- 4:26Speaker 7: pull my goal sheet out and I look at it
- 4:28Speaker 7: I read it, so I was going to these rallies
- 4:31Speaker 7: and I was learning about you know, people who are
- 4:34Speaker 7: successful in how they kept their mind writing possible. And
- 4:37Speaker 7: one of the things I learned was to make these
- 4:39Speaker 7: dream boards, these lists, these gold sheets, and in making
- 4:44Speaker 7: a goal sheet, and you make the sheet according to
- 4:48Speaker 7: what you want. Think about one thing when you made
- 4:52Speaker 7: your goal sheet, about what you wanted? Does your goal
- 4:56Speaker 7: sheet have on it? What God wants from you? Did
- 5:00Speaker 7: you ask in any of this what was His will
- 5:03Speaker 7: in your life?
- 5:05Speaker 6: You know?
- 5:05Speaker 2: Look, man, what we want oftentimes is not what He
- 5:10Speaker 2: wants for us.
- 5:11Speaker 7: And you know, if you're fighting against what you were
- 5:14Speaker 7: created for, if you're fighting against his will, I.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Mean, what do you want to happen? See?
- 5:22Speaker 7: Don't be so hard on yourself when you look at
- 5:24Speaker 7: your goal sheet and you look at what you've not
- 5:26Speaker 7: become what you thought was a great idea. Don't be
- 5:30Speaker 7: so hard on yourself because you just made a mindor mistake.
- 5:33Speaker 7: As do most people, we oftentimes make our goals and
- 5:36Speaker 7: set our goals up without ever considering what is it
- 5:39Speaker 7: that God wants from us. We keep talking about what
- 5:42Speaker 7: we want without ever finding out and knowing what it
- 5:45Speaker 7: is God wants for us. Well, guess what, man, Maybe
- 5:49Speaker 7: you're fighting against the grain. Maybe you just a salmon
- 5:51Speaker 7: heading upstream. That's a tough fight upstream. Not all salmon's
- 5:55Speaker 7: get up to the spawning grounds, you know. Some of
- 5:58Speaker 7: them don't make it upstream, you know. But all of them,
- 6:01Speaker 7: nearly all of them, except the ones that's killed by pray.
- 6:04Speaker 7: When they're spawn they go out to the ocean. That's cool,
- 6:06Speaker 7: because you're going because you're going with the grain. You're
- 6:09Speaker 7: going downstream, you're going with the flow. That's but when
- 6:13Speaker 7: it's time to go against the grain, it's tough. And
- 6:16Speaker 7: a lot of us have just been going against the
- 6:18Speaker 7: grain for all of these years. But you know what, listen, man,
- 6:22Speaker 7: I did it. I know a lot of people who
- 6:24Speaker 7: did it. Very few people get it right from the
- 6:28Speaker 7: very beginning. Man, you got to stumble through life sometimes
- 6:31Speaker 7: sometimes you got to fall through life. You got to
- 6:34Speaker 7: make a lot of mistakes, man, But these mistakes are
- 6:37Speaker 7: not failures. You know, when you fail at something, don't
- 6:39Speaker 7: look at it as a failure. Don't look at yourself
- 6:41Speaker 7: as a failure. Because you're thirty and your goals ain't
- 6:45Speaker 7: reached that you had on your list. That was your list.
- 6:48Speaker 7: What about the things that's going right? Stop looking at
- 6:52Speaker 7: what you're not, take some time out and thank God
- 6:55Speaker 7: for what you are. How about the fact that you
- 6:57Speaker 7: keep waking up to be thirty? You know you get
- 6:59Speaker 7: depressed about these birthdays. You really want to throw yourself
- 7:02Speaker 7: in some depression. Miss a birthday. You really got a problem.
- 7:06Speaker 7: Now look at where you are. You keep reaching birthdays.
- 7:10Speaker 7: That's a glorious blessing. You keep waking up. You got
- 7:13Speaker 7: your health, You've accomplished something. Something on your list is done.
- 7:17Speaker 7: People spend too much time on the negative side, and
- 7:20Speaker 7: you're just throwing yourself into depression. So what you want
- 7:23Speaker 7: to be married by a certain age and you wanted
- 7:25Speaker 7: to have kids? Okay, cool, you could have done all
- 7:28Speaker 7: that with the wrong person. There's a blessing in not
- 7:31Speaker 7: being married to the wrong person. There's a blessing in
- 7:34Speaker 7: not having kids, and nobody'll help you raise it. There's
- 7:37Speaker 7: a blessing in that man. You're talking to somebody who
- 7:39Speaker 7: can tell it to you. You can marry the wrong
- 7:41Speaker 7: person if you want to. I'm telling you you're gonna
- 7:44Speaker 7: be up in some mess you can't count on. So
- 7:46Speaker 7: instead of being angry because you're not married, you don't
- 7:50Speaker 7: have kids. Why don't you thank God the man? Maybe
- 7:52Speaker 7: he spared you from some misery here. Maybe you could
- 7:55Speaker 7: have married the wrong person. Maybe you have kids and
- 7:57Speaker 7: you're not really ready to be a mother or a father.
- 8:00Speaker 7: You gotta look at the upside, man, Quit looking at
- 8:02Speaker 7: what you don't have. Take some time to thank God
- 8:05Speaker 7: for what you do have. When you do that, you
- 8:08Speaker 7: make more room for blessings to flow into your life.
- 8:11Speaker 7: I'm not saying how God thinks, because I really don't know,
- 8:14Speaker 7: but I'm telling you if a person comes to me
- 8:18Speaker 7: and I always give a person something and they never
- 8:21Speaker 7: appear grateful, or they never say thank you, please know
- 8:24Speaker 7: you can quit coming to me now. I don't notice
- 8:28Speaker 7: how God works because I've gone back to him several
- 8:31Speaker 7: times without being grateful of thanking him, and he's filled
- 8:34Speaker 7: my basket up again. So I really think he's not
- 8:38Speaker 7: like that. But I can't make the call for sure.
- 8:41Speaker 7: But I think at one point in time, me it's
- 8:45Speaker 7: just me talking, I'd be a little ticked off at
- 8:47Speaker 7: somebody who was.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Always taking, taking, taking.
- 8:50Speaker 7: And never showing any gratitude. At one point in time,
- 8:53Speaker 7: I would just stop the flow of the take. You know,
- 8:57Speaker 7: you can't take no more from me. That's what I
- 8:59Speaker 7: would do now. I'm not calling it like that because
- 9:02Speaker 7: I ain't him, but I know he's merciful, He's full
- 9:05Speaker 7: of goodness and he and he'll forgive you. And thank
- 9:09Speaker 7: God he does that because he's shure enough done it
- 9:11Speaker 7: for me. But wow, man, take some time out today
- 9:14Speaker 7: and be grateful for what you have. Stop complaining about
- 9:16Speaker 7: where you not and think about where you are, and
- 9:19Speaker 7: then take it from there. And the next time you
- 9:22Speaker 7: make a list, make sure on that list you have
- 9:24Speaker 7: God's will? What does he want for you? Does God
- 9:27Speaker 7: create give everybody a gift and a talent? Some of
- 9:30Speaker 7: us never apply gifts and talents. We head off in
- 9:33Speaker 7: another direction. Then you wonder why your life ain't where
- 9:36Speaker 7: it's supposed to be. Have you ever thought about what
- 9:38Speaker 7: God gifted you to do? Have you ever thought about
- 9:41Speaker 7: doing that? And step skip what you want? I wanted
- 9:43Speaker 7: to play in the NBA, but I got to tell
- 9:45Speaker 7: you something. At dribbling and shooting and running all at
- 9:48Speaker 7: one time throwing me off a little bit, you.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Know, So I'm doing what I do. It's pretty cool.
- 9:55Speaker 2: You canna look at it that way.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Okay, you're listening.
- 9:59Speaker 8: Morning show.
- 10:02Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen. It is here again, the day after
- 10:06Speaker 7: a great day, another day. He just keeps on giving
- 10:09Speaker 7: it to us. He keeps giving us great days. Man, man,
- 10:12Speaker 7: oh man, I'm so thankful. How about you? This is
- 10:15Speaker 7: Steve Harvey, Martin show Man, Shirley Strawberry, Colin Farrell Junior,
- 10:20Speaker 7: Mississippi Monica, the legend that is Nephew Tummy Junior.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Anything on your mind today.
- 10:25Speaker 9: Oh, plenty on my mind. You already know plenty on
- 10:28Speaker 9: my mind. But let me talk to me about these
- 10:30Speaker 9: coping skills you need me to develop.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Well, Jr.
- 10:34Speaker 7: You gotta have coping skills because life is gonna present
- 10:36Speaker 7: a series of problems. And the way you develop coping skills, Junior,
- 10:41Speaker 7: is as you get the problems and you work through them.
- 10:45Speaker 2: You put that in your toolbox.
- 10:47Speaker 10: See.
- 10:48Speaker 7: God gives us problems and challenges to help us to
- 10:51Speaker 7: develop the toolbox that we need to get us through
- 10:55Speaker 7: the rest of our life. Life is a series of challenges, setbacks,
- 10:59Speaker 7: and hardship and moments that you have to develop skills,
- 11:04Speaker 7: certain skill sets to get through.
- 11:06Speaker 2: And you've had a lot of stuff that you've gotten through.
- 11:09Speaker 7: But once you get through it, how you got through it,
- 11:11Speaker 7: You gotta put that tool in your toolbox, you see,
- 11:15Speaker 7: so when it come up again. But what you were
- 11:18Speaker 7: But what I see happening you a lot of times
- 11:20Speaker 7: is when the problem come up again, you keep going,
- 11:23Speaker 7: oh here it is again. Why is keep happening to me?
- 11:26Speaker 7: Open your damn toolbox, man, and use the tool that
- 11:30Speaker 7: you had to fix that so it don't be the
- 11:33Speaker 7: problem no more.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Okay, you know we gotta get better at problem solving
- 11:37Speaker 2: because life.
- 11:38Speaker 7: Not finna get easier. Okay, all you gotta do is
- 11:42Speaker 7: keep it. No, I'm telling you right now it don't.
- 11:46Speaker 7: But if you've got if you gotta have the same
- 11:48Speaker 7: reaction to the same problem.
- 11:51Speaker 2: You ain't showing no growth. You see what I'm saying.
- 11:55Speaker 2: That's what you gotta do.
- 11:56Speaker 10: See how Tommy looking at me, See, I'm tired of
- 12:01Speaker 10: us raising you, junior because your ass is far or something.

- 12:20Speaker 10: got questioned about what he going through. He didn't hurt

- 15:24Speaker 12: my phone with that.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Look, my grandmama planted that tree.
- 15:28Speaker 12: Now you're planted it, moved to up then cut the
- 15:32Speaker 12: branches off. The cummers and them branches is clear enough.
- 15:35Speaker 10: You're not supposed to be driving them ainten wheel trucks
- 15:37Speaker 10: down this residential area like.
- 15:39Speaker 12: That's here, man, I would make delivery guy. Now, if
- 15:42Speaker 12: I had to come down that street, I would have.
- 15:44Speaker 12: But I told you once, I ain't came down on
- 15:47Speaker 12: Clayton Street today.
- 15:48Speaker 10: You just said you had to make a delivery. Now
- 15:50Speaker 10: you saying you ain't been down Clayton Street.
- 15:52Speaker 12: If I hadn't made deliver down there, I would have
- 15:54Speaker 12: came down that street. You ain't had to come down there.
- 15:57Speaker 2: You've been on Clayton Street today. Now that part I
- 16:00Speaker 2: do know.
- 16:00Speaker 10: And what you don got the wrong driver, dude, No no, no, no,

- 16:12Speaker 12: Then, I ain't saying for a muddle tree.
- 16:14Speaker 2: That I know you ain't talking about my mama tree.
- 16:18Speaker 12: Well, guess what, take your tree and take your bable
- 16:22Speaker 12: and both of y'all go out there and playing another
- 16:25Speaker 12: street in.
- 16:25Speaker 10: We ain't playing no more tree. That tree been in
- 16:28Speaker 10: our family for years. You're gonna mess around and get
- 16:30Speaker 10: your swept behind this tree.
- 16:32Speaker 12: Bring it on, then bring your dong and bring the
- 16:34Speaker 12: tree which.
- 16:35Speaker 2: You're gonna make me whoop with a bridge off that tree?
- 16:39Speaker 12: Well, I tell you what if you that bad, then
- 16:41Speaker 12: I tell you what if I was on Clayton Street today,
- 16:44Speaker 12: I meet you on Clayton Street with the tree.
- 16:47Speaker 10: You come on over here to Clayton right now, because
- 16:50Speaker 10: I'm right out here in the street on the cartner's phone.
- 16:52Speaker 10: You come on outside. My mama sitting up in there
- 16:55Speaker 10: crying behind this tree because you done toe the limbs
- 16:57Speaker 10: off of it and we got to cut it down
- 16:59Speaker 10: that because you didn't mess it up.
- 17:00Speaker 12: Don't give her napkin this jell a wife. But mind then,
- 17:04Speaker 12: I ain't been down no street.
- 17:06Speaker 10: I know you ain't sitting here talking about my mama.
- 17:08Speaker 10: No see you tripping now, dog, ain't tripping dog you
- 17:11Speaker 10: already Look man, I grew up with this tree.
- 17:14Speaker 2: In my front yard. I grew up with this tree.
- 17:17Speaker 10: Now you got the nerve to drive you here and
- 17:19Speaker 10: driving too fast because if you have drove slow, you
- 17:22Speaker 10: wouldn't have been hitting all them limbs like that.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Y'all be running down here too.
- 17:25Speaker 6: Fast, do here, man?
- 17:27Speaker 12: Look here, I told you once. Man, I ain't been
- 17:29Speaker 12: down on Clayton Street now, like I told you. If
- 17:32Speaker 12: you want to meet me on Clayton Street. Will all
- 17:35Speaker 12: right now, I'm sorry about your mom, Trish, but hell,
- 17:37Speaker 12: it ain't nothing I can do about it, cause I
- 17:39Speaker 12: ain't been down on Clayton Street.
- 17:40Speaker 10: It's one thing you can do about it. You can

- 39:14Speaker 11: we're going to talk about lying on your resume.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening.
- 39:21Speaker 8: Morning show.
- 39:22Speaker 11: All right, So guys, people listen to us every morning,
- 39:25Speaker 11: mostly on their way to work or maybe they're about
- 39:28Speaker 11: to start a new job.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 39:30Speaker 11: So this guy on Facebook said his sister works in HR,
- 39:34Speaker 11: so she's always finding lies on applicants resumes. Some people
- 39:39Speaker 11: put down jobs that they've never actually worked, and others
- 39:42Speaker 11: usually lie about their education.
- 39:45Speaker 1: So here's a question for today.
- 39:46Speaker 11: What's the biggest lie you've put on your resume and
- 39:51Speaker 11: told or maybe you've told a lie in a job interviewer,
- 39:54Speaker 11: Have you ever put a big lie on your resume
- 39:57Speaker 11: and they've never caught it already?
- 40:00Speaker 2: Are you happy?
- 40:00Speaker 6: He said?
- 40:01Speaker 2: If I want the job for I allowed to get
- 40:07Speaker 2: their job out ahead. This radio job too, well, this
- 40:12Speaker 2: just wasn't an interview.
- 40:14Speaker 7: Okay, okay, take us back there. You know what what
- 40:19Speaker 7: happened was here. This started back in two thousand, uh
- 40:22Speaker 7: ed Lover and Dre They had a radio LA and
- 40:28Speaker 7: they were taking some time off and they just asked
- 40:32Speaker 7: me if I wanted to sit in. Steve Hegg would
- 40:35Speaker 7: asked me if I wanted to sit in. So all
- 40:37Speaker 7: I said was, hey, man, I come up there. They said,
- 40:39Speaker 7: just do two hours. I said, all right, I come
- 40:42Speaker 7: up there in LA. I did two hours, but the
- 40:44Speaker 7: next person didn't show, so they left me on for
- 40:46Speaker 7: fok oh lord, and then that was it. And then
- 40:49Speaker 7: they said, hey, man, can you come back and do
- 40:51Speaker 7: this again tomorrow? And I came back and did the
- 40:53Speaker 7: next day, and they said, man, have you ever thought
- 40:55Speaker 7: about a career in radio? Our phone lines is lighting up, man,
- 40:59Speaker 7: people fact, because you know what's faxing.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Then I said, yeah, man, I do it.
- 41:09Speaker 7: So they asked me to do it for a week,
- 41:11Speaker 7: and then the week went by and they said, man,
- 41:13Speaker 7: we want to extend you a contract. Oh wow, and
- 41:16Speaker 7: they extended it. I told him now, and they said
- 41:19Speaker 7: why not. I said, that ain't no money. I said, well, sir,
- 41:23Speaker 7: this is radio, this ain't TV.
- 41:24Speaker 1: I don't give damn what it is you want me.
- 41:27Speaker 2: This is what I tried.
- 41:28Speaker 7: Yeah, that ain't no money. So they came back with
- 41:30Speaker 7: a number. They made some sense to me. I said,
- 41:33Speaker 7: I'm gonna try this. Man.
- 41:34Speaker 2: I've been on the radio since two thousand.
- 41:37Speaker 7: This is twenty four years, yes, twenty five years, right now,
- 41:42Speaker 7: that's me. Then they put Surely on the show. I
- 41:45Speaker 7: had been on it for about a month and they said, hey, man,
- 41:48Speaker 7: we got to get a real radio person in this room,
- 41:50Speaker 7: because it did right here. He ain't doing nothing, we
- 41:52Speaker 7: tell me, because I didn't understand to name the radio
- 41:58Speaker 7: station every time. This is one hundred point three to
- 42:01Speaker 7: b Wait a minute, how if you listening to me,
- 42:06Speaker 7: ain't you already.
- 42:08Speaker 2: What is your station on it?
- 42:12Speaker 7: If you quested in the rules that do it, I
- 42:15Speaker 7: was just sitting here. That's the dumbest thing I've heard.
- 42:18Speaker 7: Now they mad at me because I ain't saying that, hey, man,
- 42:20Speaker 7: just look at your numbers calling in.
- 42:23Speaker 1: You had other things to talk about, didn't you.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Yeah, then you.
- 42:27Speaker 7: Gotta do a time checkage. And then they said, then
- 42:30Speaker 7: you gotta do traffic report. Every morning it rush out,
- 42:36Speaker 7: it's rush it's crowd it's crowded every day morning. Which
- 42:38Speaker 7: want me tell you we in LA, it's crowded. Rush
- 42:43Speaker 7: out started TWM and it goes all the way up here. Yeah,
- 42:49Speaker 7: there's only two hours. It's only an hour and a
- 42:51Speaker 7: half in LA where they rush out, that's from two
- 42:53Speaker 7: pm to three thirty.
- 42:54Speaker 2: After that they rush out.
- 42:59Speaker 1: So what about I'm in your resume though? Did you
- 43:01Speaker 1: lie about your implication?
- 43:03Speaker 7: Did biggest I ever told on the application was? I said,
- 43:07Speaker 7: I'm I work well with others.
- 43:11Speaker 15: Man.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I don't don't give a damn who you put in here?
- 43:14Speaker 2: You like them?
- 43:16Speaker 7: Because if I don't like you, I'm not sitting to
- 43:17Speaker 7: like you. If I don't like you, I'm not fitting
- 43:21Speaker 7: it like you yet we're working together. No, no, no,
- 43:25Speaker 7: it's just finna be a couple of people in here
- 43:26Speaker 7: can staying each other.
- 43:27Speaker 2: What they fit been on every job you've ever had.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I am not going to like you if I feel
- 43:36Speaker 2: as though you don't like me.
- 43:38Speaker 7: I'm not gonna be the I'm not gonna be the
- 43:40Speaker 7: wink leak and give me just the one over here
- 43:43Speaker 7: getting messed over and pumped over.
- 43:45Speaker 2: I'm not finna do that.
- 43:47Speaker 1: No, no, no, that was the biggest lie.
- 43:50Speaker 7: I work well with others, That's what I don't work
- 43:54Speaker 7: well with others. Well, it depends on who it is.
- 44:00Speaker 7: I gotta work do it with y'all. But anybody else

- 54:08Speaker 2: Muggle up and hold on time.
- 54:09Speaker 6: We got it for you.
- 54:10Speaker 2: Here it is strawberry letter. Thank you.
- 54:12Speaker 11: Nephew's subject pre existing conditions. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a
- 54:20Speaker 11: fifty eight year old single woman. I've been divorced for
- 54:23Speaker 11: four years and my two children are grown. The man
- 54:26Speaker 11: that I've been dating hasn't been honest with me, so
- 54:29Speaker 11: I need your advice. We met on a blind date
- 54:32Speaker 11: and it was one of the worst dates I've ever
- 54:35Speaker 11: been on. The guy was not feeling well and he
- 54:38Speaker 11: kept going to the bathroom. I told him that I
- 54:41Speaker 11: could not see myself going on any more dates with him,
- 54:44Speaker 11: and after a few days he started begging me for
- 54:46Speaker 11: a second date. I fell for it and went to
- 54:49Speaker 11: his house for dinner. I noticed that he had a
- 54:52Speaker 11: few prescriptions in the cabinet, so I asked about the medicine.
- 54:55Speaker 11: He said he takes a prescription an acid and migraine medicine.
- 55:00Speaker 11: I felt better knowing that it was nothing major. I've
- 55:03Speaker 11: been getting to know him for the past three months,
- 55:05Speaker 11: and I told him just about everything about me. Come
- 55:09Speaker 11: to find out, he has not told me any important
- 55:11Speaker 11: information about himself. I found out the hard way after
- 55:15Speaker 11: he passed out while we were on a date and
- 55:19Speaker 11: I had to take him to the er. After two
- 55:22Speaker 11: hours in the er, I was told that based on
- 55:25Speaker 11: his history, he had to be admitted to the hospital.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Again.
- 55:29Speaker 11: I asked again, and she said he's been there three
- 55:32Speaker 11: times so far this year. The nurse said that was
- 55:35Speaker 11: all she could tell me since he was still asleep.
- 55:39Speaker 11: I tiptoed on out of there when the nurse left.
- 55:41Speaker 11: Because he is not my man, and I didn't know
- 55:43Speaker 11: he had pre existing conditions. What if he is seriously ill,
- 55:48Speaker 11: should I stop talking to him before I end up
- 55:50Speaker 11: his caretaker or should I check on him and make
- 55:53Speaker 11: sure he's going to be okay. Well, he definitely needs
- 55:58Speaker 11: a caretaker, for sure, because something is most definitely wrong
- 56:02Speaker 11: with him. But his health is not your responsibility.
- 56:05Speaker 12: It is his.
- 56:07Speaker 1: You just met this man three years ago. You had no.
- 56:10Speaker 11: Idea, but then he begged you and gave you a
- 56:12Speaker 11: little information and you went out with him a second
- 56:15Speaker 11: time to his house, and that's when you found out
- 56:17Speaker 11: that whatever he has is way more serious than what
- 56:19Speaker 11: he said. He definitely left out a lot of information.
- 56:23Speaker 11: You're asking the right questions, like what if he is
- 56:25Speaker 11: seriously ill and it sounds like he is, he should
- 56:28Speaker 11: have told you the truth and what you were up against.
- 56:32Speaker 11: And also, please know that you don't owe this man anything,
- 56:36Speaker 11: so you don't have to start feeling guilty about what
- 56:39Speaker 11: he has going on. But here's the other thing. You
- 56:42Speaker 11: can check on him. Yes, there's nothing wrong with that.
- 56:45Speaker 11: You can text him, you can call him. If you
- 56:47Speaker 11: don't want to date him, that's okay too. But I mean,
- 56:51Speaker 11: you can check on him and see how he is.
- 56:53Speaker 11: It's nothing wrong with that.
- 56:55Speaker 5: Steve.
- 56:56Speaker 2: Well, lady, listen to me. This ain't what you want.
- 57:03Speaker 2: I'm just gonna be honest with you, yo. You don't
- 57:07Speaker 2: really know this man. You fifty eight, You.
- 57:09Speaker 7: A single woman, been divorced four years, and you got
- 57:14Speaker 7: two children they grown. You know, got rid of your
- 57:18Speaker 7: worst child, which was your husband, and your two birth
- 57:22Speaker 7: children are grown.
- 57:24Speaker 2: We met on a blind date. This is this right here.
- 57:28Speaker 7: We met on a blind date and it was one
- 57:30Speaker 7: of the worst dates I've ever been on. Okay, So
- 57:33Speaker 7: why we need this letter is you went on a
- 57:36Speaker 7: blind date. It was one of the worst dates you
- 57:38Speaker 7: ever been on.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Ain't no more. We ain't finna do this no more. Okay.
- 57:44Speaker 2: What happened?
- 57:45Speaker 7: The guy was not feeling well and he kept going
- 57:47Speaker 7: to the bathroom. I told him I couldn't see myself
- 57:50Speaker 7: going on any more dates with him. After a few days,
- 57:53Speaker 7: he started begging me for a second date.
- 57:56Speaker 2: I fell for it.
- 57:57Speaker 7: Okay, you know, God could have just been sick. Never
- 58:00Speaker 7: get a man another chance. You ain't say nothing wrong
- 58:02Speaker 7: with him. So you went to house his house for dinner.
- 58:06Speaker 7: Now you did exactly what I tell women to do.
- 58:10Speaker 7: I tell women when you first go over man's house,
- 58:13Speaker 7: asked to go to the bathroom. First thing you want
- 58:16Speaker 7: to do when you get in that bathroom, look in
- 58:18Speaker 7: that medicine cabinet. The next thing you want to do is,
- 58:22Speaker 7: if you walk around the house, open the closet. Doz
- 58:27Speaker 7: you need to see what's in the damn clauses. And
- 58:30Speaker 7: if you can get your get a look under that bed.
- 58:35Speaker 2: This all this you need to know skeleton's in your cloth.
- 58:43Speaker 2: That's a Stevie Wonder song.
- 58:45Speaker 7: You got to open these damn clausets and get in
- 58:48Speaker 7: that medicine cabinet and look under that bed.
- 58:51Speaker 2: That's where all that is. You ain't even got to
- 58:53Speaker 2: wear it. Now here you go. I noticed he had
- 58:57Speaker 2: a few prescriptions in the cabinet. Good job. So I
- 59:02Speaker 2: asked about the medicine.
- 59:04Speaker 7: He said, he takes prescription an tacit and my grain medicine.
- 59:09Speaker 7: He said, he takes a prescription for antassic anti ascid
- 59:14Speaker 7: and my grain medicine.
- 59:16Speaker 2: I felt better knowing that it wasn't nothing major. What
- 59:20Speaker 2: well you better? You felt better knowing what it wasn't.
- 59:23Speaker 7: This major, this major, this anti prescription anti, this ain't roles.
- 59:30Speaker 7: He ain't taking terms. He got a prescription antacit. Now
- 59:36Speaker 7: he was already after dinner and he kept getting up.
- 59:38Speaker 7: He can't eat nothing. Naw, he gonna have pounding ass headaches.
- 59:46Speaker 7: Now you over here with this evil ass dude that
- 59:48Speaker 7: can't eat. Now he gonna be hungry because he can't
- 59:51Speaker 7: eat and he can't keep no food down. Now he
- 59:54Speaker 7: got damn headache. You know why he got a headache,
- 59:56Speaker 7: because he's hungry.
- 59:58Speaker 2: The last thing you needed, old sick ass man.
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: They can't eat, and now he getting migraine headaches cause
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: he hungry.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: This is major.
- 1:00:10Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: I've been getting to know him for the past three
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: months and I told him just about everything about me.
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: Come to find out, he ain't told me any important
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: information about himself.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Hell no, he can't go and tell you.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Why hang on? Tell us?
- 1:00:24Speaker 11: Yeah, when we come back, we'll have part two of
- 1:00:27Speaker 11: Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: Today's Strawberry letter, subject pre existing conditions.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening.
- 1:00:39Speaker 8: Morning show.
- 1:00:40Speaker 11: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:43Speaker 11: The subject is pre existing conditions.
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: Now, this woman fifty eight, she's single, she's dating this man.
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: She ain't said how old he is, but they went
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: on a blind dating. She says, the worst date she
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: ever been on. Okay, so why we writing this letter,
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: I don't know, But somehow they went out on a
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: It was the worst date to ever been on.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: The guy wasn't feeling well. He kept going to the bathroom.
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: Then you told him you couldn't see yourself dating him
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: just because he's sick. But after a few days he
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: started begging for a second date.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: I fell for it.
- 1:01:14Speaker 7: Then you go to his house for dinner. You did
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: exactly what I tell single women all the time when
- 1:01:20Speaker 7: you go over these men housepcially if they old go
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: in that bathroom and open up that cabinet, snoop, get
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: in them closets, skeletons in your close in God to
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: find out what's in them closet and if you can
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: look under that damn bed. All these are places where
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: the body is at. You need to know what you're
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: dealing with. Okay, Now, you notice that he had a
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: You went into his house for dinner. You notice he
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: has some prescription, so you asked him about the medicine.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: He said, a prescription and tacit and a migraine medicine.
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: You said, I felt better knowing that it was nothing
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: major major. You just was on the worst date. Because
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: he can't stay. He can't keep it food down, now, y'all.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: At a restaurant.
- 1:02:08Speaker 7: In the restaurant, he gotta keep getting up going to
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: the bathroom cause he can't hold food.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Now, if a man can't hold food, what he gonna do?
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: He gonna get hungry. And what happened when you get hungry,
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: you get a damn headache. Now guess what he gets.
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: He getting migraines because he can't keep no damn food
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: because he throwing up These.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Ain't road age ms maylcks. This ain't none of that.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: His ass got to get a prescription. Something wrong with him.
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: So now you've been trying to get to know him
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: the past three months, and you have told him everything
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: about you. Come to find out he ain't told you
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: anything important by hisself. I found out the hard way
- 1:02:49Speaker 7: after he passed out while we was on the date,
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: and I had to take him to y'all right there
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: right there.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Now he was going to the bathroom on the first date.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Now the old ass has set up there and just
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: fell out. Now he'd have just fell out. Were up
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: in here talking.
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: And I'm looking at his ass over to look at
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: all wounds, and everything hit all of a sudden blue
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: he just hit the damn float. Hed fell out, not
- 1:03:12Speaker 7: just played all on the floor. That he gotta forget
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: his sauce all over his suit. I got people gathered around.
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: I don't even know this man. Now I got to
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: take his old lass to the ear and after two
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: hours in the er, I was told, based on his history,
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: he had to be into the hospital.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: He got to be admitted to the hospital. Again.
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: I said again, yeah, uh huh again because she know
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: his ass, because he'd have been down there before, because
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: I'm growing that prescription and ascid ain't working. Fell out,
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: his ass is set up in here, that vomited, throwing up,
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: died real now, he'd have just fell out.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Fady can't take no more.
- 1:03:55Speaker 7: He'd have just filled his ass out, had eight pounds
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: now he'd just fainted now two hours down that to eyer,
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: this ain't even your man. And once again you didn't
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: write how old he was, but he old because he's
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: sent up here. He didn't want to take the an
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: ascid right now because they make him go to the
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: bathroom a lot. So now he gonna try to have
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: an evening without taking his pills and get what happened
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: as fell out?
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: And I asked again and she said, he's been here
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: three times so far this year.
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: It's April first, once a month. Hell you talking about
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: he'd have been down here three times. He go down
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: here every month and you finish sign up for this.
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: You don't even know him.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: He ain't even having him crazy ass headaches.
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: Yet he just in here passing out a restaurant because
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: he ain't taking that prescription and tactic.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: He didn't see hold his throat a little bit. You
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: didn't hear that when a man swallowing you hear this,
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: you hear that.
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: Some wrong.
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: Now.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: The nurse said all she could since he was still sleep.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: I tiptoed out of that. Tiptoe.
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: I'd have had them heels making so much noise in
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: that hallway it'll sound like a horse was coming to
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: it talking about you tiptoed out of that. You weren't
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: gonna wake his ass up here in the hospital. He
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: on all types of drugs. They didn't put his ass
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: to sleep. I tiptoed out of that when the nurse left,
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: because he is not my man, and I didn't know
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: he had a pre existing condition.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: I can tell you all about that. We'd get deal

- 1:06:13Speaker 2: Yes, what if he is seriously ill?
- 1:06:15Speaker 11: What do you mean?
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: What if just the third time he been What do
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: you mean if he's seriously ill, it's something wrong with him?
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: Should I stop talking to him before I end up
- 1:06:26Speaker 7: being his caretaker? Hey, listen, unless you're trying to open

- 1:08:13Speaker 15: Okay, we have North Carolina State South Carolina on Friday,
- 1:08:17Speaker 15: and Yukon.
- 1:08:18Speaker 9: And I were planning to go to the National Championship Game.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: So it's gonna be.
- 1:08:21Speaker 9: It's gonna be. It's gonna be two good games on Friday,
- 1:08:24Speaker 9: for sure, that's for sure.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: You know what, jun you know what I hate.
- 1:08:28Speaker 13: I hate that they're making this racial divide with LSU,
- 1:08:32Speaker 13: you know, dia thing in college basketball.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: Stop that. Stop putting penny these girls against see each other.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Stop making this thing about race.
- 1:08:41Speaker 13: This is college basketball, women's college basketball, and we're watching
- 1:08:44Speaker 13: women's college basketball again. Oh because of how great these
- 1:08:48Speaker 13: women are as athletes. I just I don't like all
- 1:08:52Speaker 13: this nastiness on social media.
- 1:08:54Speaker 15: No, I see that too, because Angel rees is just
- 1:08:58Speaker 15: is just as good as Kate and Clark, and they're
- 1:09:00Speaker 15: both going to the w NBA.
- 1:09:02Speaker 8: Period.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: I have a career in the.
- 1:09:04Speaker 9: NBA, and they both put women's basketball on the map.
- 1:09:07Speaker 9: We wouldn't have been watching this game.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: They have not played that well.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: You think re is going this year, You think she'll
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: play another year.
- 1:09:15Speaker 9: I would hope she would stay. I hope she will
- 1:09:17Speaker 9: stay because she she really does. Because Caitlin Clark is
- 1:09:20Speaker 9: a senior, she's gonna be, she's going.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: To she's gonna be the NBA.
- 1:09:23Speaker 15: She's out, and she's gonna and and you're gonna be
- 1:09:25Speaker 15: the roof of the face of college women's college basketball.
- 1:09:28Speaker 9: Next year she would be the face. So it was
- 1:09:30Speaker 9: really two good games.
- 1:09:31Speaker 15: I was really proud of all the teams that played
- 1:09:34Speaker 15: last night, and we got to see some young stars
- 1:09:36Speaker 15: because Juju Watkins is a freshman and she played hot
- 1:09:39Speaker 15: like that.
- 1:09:39Speaker 9: Yeah, she is really good for us. Yeah she was
- 1:09:42Speaker 9: crying for USC. But I'm telling you, they played their
- 1:09:44Speaker 9: heart out.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: They played her.
- 1:09:46Speaker 15: So that's the women's The men's has already said Alabama, Yukon,
- 1:09:49Speaker 15: North Carolina State produce and if crazy, North Carolina State.
- 1:09:52Speaker 9: Got both they teams in the final four men and
- 1:09:56Speaker 9: UKN and and women.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Look, god, let's go.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: You can lift North Carolina State. They fall it.
- 1:10:04Speaker 9: That's coaching over there.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, good coach. I'm proud of all Right, let's
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: go South Carolina.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: Let's go South Carolina.
- 1:10:12Speaker 8: Yeah right, junior, thank you.
- 1:10:14Speaker 11: Coming up at the top of the hour, Steve, there's
- 1:10:16Speaker 11: this guy on social media who needs some advice. He says,
- 1:10:19Speaker 11: now that I have a girlfriend, my crush is interested.
- 1:10:22Speaker 11: We'll talk about that right after this. You're listening hard
- 1:10:27Speaker 11: morning show. All right, So Steve Bred on Facebook needs
- 1:10:33Speaker 11: your advice. He says, I've been crushing on this girl
- 1:10:36Speaker 11: from work for like the last three years, and she
- 1:10:38Speaker 11: would never really give me the time of day. She
- 1:10:41Speaker 11: was nice to me, but always brushed off my advances
- 1:10:44Speaker 11: and refused multiple invitations to go out. A few months ago,
- 1:10:48Speaker 11: I started dating another woman, and now all of a sudden,
- 1:10:53Speaker 11: my crush is taking an interest in me. She knows
- 1:10:56Speaker 11: that I'm dating someone else, so I don't know if
- 1:10:58Speaker 11: she's just playing with me or if she is genuinely interested.
- 1:11:02Speaker 11: My current girlfriend and I are still in the getting
- 1:11:04Speaker 11: to know each other fase, so ending it wouldn't be
- 1:11:08Speaker 11: that difficult.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Am I being a fool? Is my crush playing with me?
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: What what you're talking about? Ending your fair? Yeah, y'all
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: need to get to know each other. Fans, Well, let's
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: get to know it. Yeah, but let's get to know everybody.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: She's playing around till she sees somebody else, won't you
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: see that all hard to get? Hard to get?
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: Okay, come on now, let goose see three years so
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: breaking up with her wouldn't be hard to do.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: What is you breaking up with her?
- 1:11:40Speaker 16: Fault?
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: You might have a gold mine with you, but you
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: need to go see about this other window. Yeah, but
- 1:11:48Speaker 7: you're doing that for go out with both of them.
- 1:11:51Speaker 7: See where you're at. Women do it all the time.
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: I ain't telling you nothing. Women don't do.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: And they know when and then approached her.
- 1:12:02Speaker 14: What should he?
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: What should he?
- 1:12:03Speaker 7: Okay, Well, let's go on out, let's get to know
- 1:12:05Speaker 7: each other. Just take it slow, take it.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: You're still dating the other. You still in a relationship,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: you're still dating, you're doing both.
- 1:12:16Speaker 10: Nothing in it for you.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: See how I do my career. I don't cancel show.
- 1:12:25Speaker 13: Wait a minute, let me you said something here? So
- 1:12:29Speaker 13: he if she asked him if he's dating the other girl?
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: You said her?
- 1:12:34Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: Did you? Did you? Did you just say that? He said?
- 1:12:40Speaker 7: She know I'm dating this other woman. Now all of
- 1:12:42Speaker 7: a sudden she interested. Well, so you know that, and
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: you interested. Let's go on go out because me and
- 1:12:49Speaker 7: this girl, he said, is in the getting there know
- 1:12:51Speaker 7: each other's day.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: He must really like the girl at work, though, because
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: he's willing to.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, hell yeah, that's why. God see what this is?
- 1:13:03Speaker 11: Okay, Well, hopefully write us back and let us know
- 1:13:07Speaker 11: what happens. Are you gonna be dating too or are
- 1:13:10Speaker 11: you gonna dump her?
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: For real?
- 1:13:12Speaker 10: Of them?
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: To play it?
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: What?
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: I believe you believe why don't know what he's doing
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: because he wrote in so he already don't know what
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: he's doing.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he wrote us. Yeah, and your first time playing too,
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: you gonna lose?
- 1:13:29Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I have another one. Okay, there's another one.
- 1:13:34Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:13:35Speaker 7: Uh.
- 1:13:37Speaker 11: This one's from Chandra Steve on Steve Harvey f M.
- 1:13:40Speaker 11: Chandra says, I was talking to my parents about their
- 1:13:43Speaker 11: financial situation. They're getting older and have been working less,
- 1:13:47Speaker 11: and we decided that I would buy their house from
- 1:13:49Speaker 11: them and let them live there until they pass or
- 1:13:52Speaker 11: move into assisted living. I make enough to do this,
- 1:13:55Speaker 11: and buying their house would be a good investment. All
- 1:13:58Speaker 11: of my siblings are on board, for our oldest sister,
- 1:14:02Speaker 11: who thinks I'm trying to take over my parents' lives.
- 1:14:05Speaker 11: I think she's worried because over the years, she's moved
- 1:14:07Speaker 11: back into our parents' house twice when she fell on
- 1:14:10Speaker 11: hard times. I told her I wouldn't object to that
- 1:14:13Speaker 11: if that happened, and that only made her even more mad.
- 1:14:16Speaker 11: I don't know how to handle this, and I don't
- 1:14:18Speaker 11: want to alienate my sister, but I'm going through with
- 1:14:21Speaker 11: buying the house.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Any advice on how to deal with her.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: No, just go and buy the house.
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: Your sister ain't got the money for the house because
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: she can fall in no hard times. You'd have told
- 1:14:34Speaker 7: her that if she fall on hard times, you ain't
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: gonna have no problem with her living. That she mad though,
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: she don't want you to have that power. It's a
- 1:14:42Speaker 7: good investment by the house to take the pressure off
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: your mom.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: And daddy period.
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: Okay, yeah, but you sound like you're gonna put the
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: ass and the sister living anyway though.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: That's how you sound to me.
- 1:14:53Speaker 7: Wow, wow, all right, cause she said hard until they
- 1:14:59Speaker 7: passed they go to assistant living.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Which world you think she's get here.
- 1:15:05Speaker 11: I'm telling you we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:15:07Speaker 11: Morton Show coming up to twenty minutes after right after this,
- 1:15:11Speaker 11: you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:16Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: So, guys, I don't know if you've heard, but seniors,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: seniors are getting it in. They're having more sex. Okay.
- 1:15:24Speaker 11: This is according to new research that found a huge
- 1:15:27Speaker 11: spike in the number of sexually transmitted infections over the
- 1:15:30Speaker 11: past ten years. A new study, which will be presented
- 1:15:34Speaker 11: at a medical convention in Spain next month, shows that
- 1:15:37Speaker 11: sti's among people over the age of fifty.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Five have doubled compared to a decade ago.
- 1:15:43Speaker 11: The steady blazeful spike, Yeah, doubled Blaine's spike on rising
- 1:15:49Speaker 11: divorce rates, less condom use, the availability of drugs like viagra,
- 1:15:55Speaker 11: and more older adults living together in retirement communities, and
- 1:15:59Speaker 11: also increased use in dating apps.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: So there you have it.
- 1:16:03Speaker 11: STIs rising among the older generation. Yeah, fifty five and older.
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: You can make all the noises you want to. That
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: ain't change. It ain't changing nothing.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: News condom, condom all man, Yeah, I mean that's the
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: easiest one.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: You already have got long left.

- 1:16:30Speaker 7: I be damn. Now you done got old and dumb.
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: You spend all this time trying to get here.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: Now you're here. Now you're gonna cut his show? No condo. Okay,
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: you're sixty nine at the Clintic. What you look like
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: you're the oldest person down there.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: That's come on, Papa, Oh, I'm burning.
- 1:16:51Speaker 11: Minutes after the hour of the startling News, we'll play
- 1:16:55Speaker 11: around it. Would you rather right after this you're listening.
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: Morning show?
- 1:17:01Speaker 11: It is time now for a round of would you rather?

- 1:17:19Speaker 2: Okay, Well.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: See how you are about the phone. He can't. Yeah,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: you can't.
- 1:17:28Speaker 6: He can't.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: I never been. I don't even know what that is.
- 1:17:36Speaker 10: Car.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure, Yeah you could take you don't drive you?
- 1:17:45Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: Anybody I ain't drove a car.
- 1:17:52Speaker 11: Would you rather none of your friends like your spouse
- 1:17:55Speaker 11: or none of your spouse's friends like you?
- 1:17:58Speaker 9: Be that happened that?
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: Would you rather? Is this what you're going through?
- 1:18:02Speaker 10: Yes?
- 1:18:03Speaker 15: That's They already don't like me, all right, they don't

- 1:18:36Speaker 2: I don't want no problem with my wife nothing.
- 1:18:38Speaker 7: Steve rather my friends not like my wife, because keep
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: it to your damn self like you got to do anyway.
- 1:18:45Speaker 7: I don't want her friends not liking meet them, because
- 1:18:47Speaker 7: then that's a real problem because they're going to be
- 1:18:49Speaker 7: discussing it. I have extra problems in your house for that.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:18:56Speaker 11: Would you rather always feel like you have to sneeze?
- 1:18:59Speaker 11: Or would you rather always feel like you need to pee?
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: I always feel like I got a pee? Now, yeah,

- 1:19:28Speaker 11: Which would you rather you and your spouse be very
- 1:19:31Speaker 11: passionate but argue all the time? Or would you rather
- 1:19:34Speaker 11: you and your spouse have not any passion, have no
- 1:19:37Speaker 11: passion but you get along perfectly?
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: Which one passion but you argue?
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: I'm arguing with that passion?
- 1:19:44Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:19:45Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, I should not answer this question.
- 1:19:49Speaker 7: If we ain't having no passion, I don't know how
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: to hear we're gonna get along no way?
- 1:19:53Speaker 9: So right, good point that part?
- 1:19:58Speaker 15: All right, what, Jillian, I don't need to answer the question, Tommy,

- 1:20:31Speaker 1: day on this Tuesday.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: Yeah, stay on April second.
- 1:20:40Speaker 11: Uh huh?
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: It went by, didn't it?
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: Sitting up in here watching Junior grow. Yeah? Yeah, it's
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: exciting watching you grow.
- 1:20:49Speaker 11: Man.
- 1:20:50Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:20:51Speaker 9: Do you know how keep being knowing as I was
- 1:20:53Speaker 9: twenty one years old?
- 1:20:54Speaker 12: Wow?
- 1:20:56Speaker 9: Keep been knowing me that long?
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: I didn't know that. Yeah.
- 1:21:01Speaker 9: So you watch me grow, you watch me do a
- 1:21:03Speaker 9: lot of things.
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: We watched you get older. We didn't want to grow up.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Tommy. You don't have to say everything you tell.
- 1:21:11Speaker 9: You're not a really good teammate. Time of today and
- 1:21:14Speaker 9: not telling you said the watch in my ear. I
- 1:21:19Speaker 9: got to talk to uncle about that too.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: Boy, everything going on with Junior here? He come here month?
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: I can't sneeze. What do you think that is?
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Mentor well, let me.
- 1:21:35Speaker 7: Do something here my clothesing remarks today. How about that
- 1:21:39Speaker 7: because it can lead, it can come from that. Well, no,
- 1:21:44Speaker 7: not particularly about Junior, but just about your life in general.
- 1:21:47Speaker 7: I'm pretty sure he could use it. But we were
- 1:21:50Speaker 7: talking about coping skills earlier. And what I try to
- 1:21:56Speaker 7: get people to understand is life is a series of
- 1:22:01Speaker 7: things that happen in everybody's life. You know, people too
- 1:22:05Speaker 7: to casually throw around the word karma, like every time
- 1:22:09Speaker 7: something happened to somebody, people go, Okay, that's karma, that's
- 1:22:12Speaker 7: something coming back in him. No, a lot of this
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: stuff is life. When when when when the company closes,
- 1:22:20Speaker 7: that ain't karma on you. There's a lot of people
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: lost their job and that uh company close. Things happen
- 1:22:28Speaker 7: during COVID. It wasn't just cause of you. That wasn't karma.
- 1:22:32Speaker 7: Everybody had to deal with COVID. You lose a loved one,
- 1:22:37Speaker 7: somebody you love past, That ain't karma. That's that's a
- 1:22:42Speaker 7: part of life. Somebody leaves you, you break up with somebody,
- 1:22:47Speaker 7: that's not karma. That's life. You gotta watch how people
- 1:22:52Speaker 7: and people use karma to make you feel some kind
- 1:22:56Speaker 7: of way. Every time something happened to you, they try
- 1:22:58Speaker 7: to make you feel bad about Sometimes, y'all, is just life.
- 1:23:02Speaker 7: And the way life is set up is set up
- 1:23:05Speaker 7: where we are required to pass a series of tests.
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: Over and over and over and over. The reason you have.
- 1:23:15Speaker 7: The test is so that when you pass the test,
- 1:23:20Speaker 7: you pick up what's called experience. This thing called experience
- 1:23:27Speaker 7: are coping tools. Experience is a coping tool. That's why,
- 1:23:35Speaker 7: as you get older, everything should not affect you the
- 1:23:40Speaker 7: same way. If you get through something and you face
- 1:23:46Speaker 7: this something again the second time you see it, you
- 1:23:49Speaker 7: should have developed a coping skill from having dealt with
- 1:23:52Speaker 7: it before that allows you to get through it a
- 1:23:55Speaker 7: little bit more comfortably this time. I remember when when
- 1:24:00Speaker 7: I was younger, one arrow. You could shoot me with
- 1:24:02Speaker 7: one arrow and it would drop me. Now I'm standing
- 1:24:07Speaker 7: up here, man with probably thirty arrows in my back
- 1:24:09Speaker 7: right now, but I'm still functioning.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: I'm still rolling on because the one arrow that used
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: to drop me, I got thirty in my back right
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: now and I'm still walking around and you don't even
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: know the thirty back there.
- 1:24:24Speaker 7: Because I've developed so many coping skills. I remember when
- 1:24:29Speaker 7: the internet first came out. I remember when I first
- 1:24:32Speaker 7: was getting drug on the internet how it affected me. Now,
- 1:24:35Speaker 7: I don't give a dog on what you put out there.
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: I'm telling you, man, I'd have got battle tested because
- 1:24:44Speaker 7: I learned the coping skills of it. And God had
- 1:24:50Speaker 7: to show it to me because where He's taken me,
- 1:24:52Speaker 7: I have to have a tougher skin. So for those
- 1:24:56Speaker 7: of you that's going through stuff, everything you ca going
- 1:25:00Speaker 7: through is preparing you for where you're going to.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: See.
- 1:25:04Speaker 7: In order to get to where you want to go to,
- 1:25:07Speaker 7: you gotta go through something. Everything you want is on
- 1:25:10Speaker 7: the other side of going through. Ain't nothing you want
- 1:25:15Speaker 7: just laying right in front of you at your feet.
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: Everything you want in life is on the other side
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: of uncomfortable.
- 1:25:25Speaker 7: It's on the other side of trials and tribulations. It's
- 1:25:28Speaker 7: on the other side of challenges. You got to get
- 1:25:31Speaker 7: yourself in this fight, man, And once you develop the
- 1:25:35Speaker 7: skill sets, the coping tools, you get to use them again.
- 1:25:41Speaker 7: Somebody asked me and said, man, it seemed like you
- 1:25:43Speaker 7: know a lot about a lot. I've been through a lot.
- 1:25:45Speaker 7: I used to wonder why God was making my life
- 1:25:48Speaker 7: this way. I didn't understand it.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: For the life of me. I just couldn't figure it out.
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: Oh Lord, woe is me?
- 1:25:54Speaker 6: Lord? Why me?
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: Why not you?
- 1:25:57Speaker 7: Cause you have no idea why I'm taking you, man.
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: And when you get there, you're gonna have to be
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: this person right here. You're gonna have to be able
- 1:26:04Speaker 7: to tell people in the morning how to have a
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: better day. I used to not be a morning person,
- 1:26:12Speaker 7: but a guy named John Walk out of Rochester, New York.
- 1:26:14Speaker 7: He broke me from that when I was twenty one
- 1:26:16Speaker 7: years old. So now I'm a morning person. I didn't
- 1:26:19Speaker 7: know how important being a morning person was until I
- 1:26:22Speaker 7: got on morning drive radio. I can't come over here
- 1:26:25Speaker 7: man to be Oh woe is me? And y'all sitting
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: up in there tuning in to me. Oh what's wrong now, Steve? Well,
- 1:26:32Speaker 7: my hip went out? Now, man, what are you crazy?
- 1:26:36Speaker 7: I have developed so many coping skills because I've gone
- 1:26:40Speaker 7: through so many challenges. You can appreciate the dark moments
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: in your life if you just accept the takeaway. Every
- 1:26:48Speaker 7: challenge provides you with an experience. Every experience makes you
- 1:26:51Speaker 7: more prepared for the next one. Thank you, Lord for
- 1:26:54Speaker 7: the hardships that I've endured and overcome and now I
- 1:26:58Speaker 7: have coping skills of my closing remarks. Maybe that's why
- 1:27:02Speaker 7: it's happening to you, so you can develop the coping skills. Y'all,
- 1:27:05Speaker 7: have a great day.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: Talk to God. He love to hear from.
