- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, want and on it. Steve Harvey radio show
- 2:14Speaker 1: man on man on man, I thank God for it.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I thank God for all he's done for me, for
- 2:21Speaker 1: all the little things that are oftentimes failed to thank
- 2:25Speaker 1: him for that I take for granted, for breathing, you know, laughing,
- 2:35Speaker 1: the fact that I can enjoy myself. Man, I thank
- 2:39Speaker 1: God for all of that, all of those small things
- 2:43Speaker 1: that I forget to think that are so huge. I
- 2:48Speaker 1: thank God for that. Yeah, it ain't just the radio show,
- 2:51Speaker 1: is that? But the radio show was to trigger for
- 2:53Speaker 1: me it kind of oh, kind of just kicks it
- 2:58Speaker 1: all in for me. I was. I was talking the
- 3:01Speaker 1: other day to a buddy of mine, and you know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I have several crazy friends because I'm one of them.
- 3:07Speaker 1: To them, I think so too. I think they think
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'm crazy. So, you know, we all kind of got
- 3:13Speaker 1: about the same, not not the same to mean it,
- 3:16Speaker 1: but but but we share some things in common, you know.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I think that's what makes us friends. You know. The
- 3:21Speaker 1: majority of my friends are uh, you know, oh with women, married,
- 3:28Speaker 1: you know, kids, you know. Um, mostly all of them
- 3:34Speaker 1: were settled, you know. Um, I got a couple of
- 3:38Speaker 1: partners that's still out there a little bit, you know,
- 3:41Speaker 1: but for the most part, they all pretty much settled guys,
- 3:45Speaker 1: you know. Um. And and I was talking to one
- 3:49Speaker 1: of them the other day, Um, I think it was Friday,
- 3:54Speaker 1: Saturday one, and we were we had gotten to this
- 3:57Speaker 1: conversation about God and and and in the conversation we
- 4:03Speaker 1: had narrowed down and we were talking about changing the
- 4:06Speaker 1: way we are as people. You know that everybody has
- 4:11Speaker 1: to change, you know, nothing stays the same. Everybody changes.
- 4:16Speaker 1: And uh, A lot of these changes can be for
- 4:19Speaker 1: the good, and a lot of them are just they
- 4:21Speaker 1: just come with time. You know. Sometimes it's aging that
- 4:24Speaker 1: changes us. But no matter how old you get, you
- 4:29Speaker 1: still have the ability to improve as a person. We
- 4:34Speaker 1: were talking about everybody can change, and everybody has the
- 4:43Speaker 1: right to reinvent themselves as they get older. And I
- 4:49Speaker 1: equated it to jumping out of an airplane. You know,
- 4:53Speaker 1: there are some people man who get to a certain
- 4:56Speaker 1: point in the life and they and they jumped from
- 4:59Speaker 1: the airplane. Is now almost a stunt of some kind.
- 5:05Speaker 1: It's almost like they life and got out of control.
- 5:08Speaker 1: You ever seen somebody jump out of airplane and the
- 5:11Speaker 1: parachute don't open, and their lifestart and it seems like
- 5:14Speaker 1: they started spinning and tumbling and they can't get it together.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And I've seen some mid air rescues before. But then
- 5:21Speaker 1: there are times when you know when it hasn't worked.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You know, you jump out that airplane and and and
- 5:27Speaker 1: and at first it's fun. I've never skydive before, but
- 5:31Speaker 1: I would imagine when you first jump out of an
- 5:34Speaker 1: airplane that they people describe it as a sense of
- 5:38Speaker 1: being free. And it's exhilarating when you first jump out
- 5:43Speaker 1: the plane. But if you pull that cord and nothing happens.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I never happened to me. But I can only imagine
- 5:52Speaker 1: the panic that's got to set in, because no matter
- 5:56Speaker 1: how fun it was a moment ago, the flying over
- 6:00Speaker 1: to one another, holding hands in the air, the breeze,
- 6:04Speaker 1: the descent of the feeling of all of a sudden,
- 6:09Speaker 1: if you reach for that cord and it's not not there,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you're suddenly spinning out of control. You're going way too fast,
- 6:17Speaker 1: you you're tumbling. It's it's not fun anymore. You're in
- 6:21Speaker 1: a panic stricken molde. And that's what happens in a
- 6:26Speaker 1: lot of people's lives. When you first start your life,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you jump out the plane. You're free, you're young, you
- 6:32Speaker 1: ain't got nothing where about. There's no sense of immortality.
- 6:35Speaker 1: You're just jumping out the plane. You're doing what you
- 6:37Speaker 1: want to do. You're free falling. But then you get
- 6:39Speaker 1: to a certain point in your life when you go, okay,
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull the cord now. And pulling the cord
- 6:46Speaker 1: is an important thing, because here's the the analogy my
- 6:51Speaker 1: friend gave me. He said, Man, use your mind like
- 6:57Speaker 1: a parachute. It works better when it's open. He said,
- 7:04Speaker 1: use your mind like a parachute. It works better when
- 7:08Speaker 1: it's open. Well, see what happens with a lot of people,
- 7:13Speaker 1: is they in life. They jump out the plane and
- 7:18Speaker 1: and and and they and they having this free fall
- 7:22Speaker 1: and it's fun for now. But they get to a
- 7:25Speaker 1: certain point in their life where they got themselves into situation,
- 7:28Speaker 1: or they've had a little bit too much fun a
- 7:30Speaker 1: little bit too long, or you know, they wasn't open
- 7:33Speaker 1: to nothing and they just did what they wanted to do,
- 7:36Speaker 1: or they started getting involved with drugs or drinking, or
- 7:39Speaker 1: started running with the wrong people. So you jump out
- 7:42Speaker 1: the plane. At first, your free falling is fun. But
- 7:45Speaker 1: then after a minute, man, something happens and they realize
- 7:47Speaker 1: whoa And they reached for the chord, and the chord
- 7:50Speaker 1: don't work. Well, now you're in the panic stricken situation.
- 7:54Speaker 1: And my suggestion is what I've learned from the analogy
- 7:56Speaker 1: that my friends shared with me, is that we all
- 8:00Speaker 1: the sooner we could open our mind to God, the
- 8:03Speaker 1: sooner we could develop that relationship with him. It's like
- 8:08Speaker 1: pulling the cord and opening a parachute. If you open
- 8:13Speaker 1: up your mind to God, God is like a parachute.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You know, God can slow your descent. God can turn
- 8:22Speaker 1: this out of control free fall into a nice ride
- 8:27Speaker 1: for you. See, that's what happened to me. I was
- 8:32Speaker 1: spinning out of control. I had gotten myself into a point. Man,
- 8:37Speaker 1: Why I wasn't doing real good? Oh, y'all would look
- 8:41Speaker 1: at me and think, man, Stevie Man, No, I wasn't
- 8:46Speaker 1: doing real good. I had spun out of control. I was.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I was in a free fall and I reached for
- 8:54Speaker 1: the court, but I was so far away the cord
- 8:57Speaker 1: didn't open. Then I went to him and I pulled
- 8:59Speaker 1: the ward. When I went to God, I pulled the
- 9:03Speaker 1: cord and open, and he slowed my descent. And this
- 9:07Speaker 1: is what I just believe. I don't believe now that
- 9:10Speaker 1: I aged as fast as I was aging, because I
- 9:13Speaker 1: got that parachute open. Now, you know, I take better
- 9:16Speaker 1: care of myself, eating, I work out more. Now you know, Uh,
- 9:20Speaker 1: I'm not out of control. I have a direction now.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Uh that whin then got up under that parachute a
- 9:27Speaker 1: little bit, you know, And now I'm I'm I'm I'm going.
- 9:30Speaker 1: You know, I'm still getting older, you know so, but
- 9:32Speaker 1: the descent is so slow now I'm able to enjoy
- 9:36Speaker 1: the ride. I'm I'm guiding my parachute over. Sometimes we
- 9:40Speaker 1: go over to it, to a vacation spot over here,
- 9:43Speaker 1: we float back over to it. But you know, I'm
- 9:45Speaker 1: still getting older. I'm still going going down and with
- 9:49Speaker 1: the descent. Because I've opened my mind to God. The
- 9:53Speaker 1: parachute has slowed my descent, and now I'm rocking back
- 9:58Speaker 1: and forth. But I ain't spent and out of control
- 10:00Speaker 1: no more. You know, I'm able to enjoy the view now.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You know when you jump out that plane and you
- 10:06Speaker 1: and you pull that corder and it don't work. You
- 10:09Speaker 1: ain't looking at the view no more. You're thinking of
- 10:11Speaker 1: only one thing, How can I slow this down? Well,
- 10:14Speaker 1: now I'm able to enjoy the view. I'm able to
- 10:17Speaker 1: see all the beautiful things on the horizon that God
- 10:20Speaker 1: has for me. I'm able to see all the beautiful
- 10:23Speaker 1: things around me that He's provided for me over these years.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Because I've slowed my descent. I used my mind like
- 10:31Speaker 1: a parachute. It works better when it's open. Open your
- 10:36Speaker 1: mind to God, and so you can see the view,
- 10:39Speaker 1: so you can slow the descent, so you can stop
- 10:42Speaker 1: the out of control free fall that you've been on,
- 10:45Speaker 1: that you can get your life together and see everything
- 10:48Speaker 1: out on the horizon. You know it turned out to
- 10:51Speaker 1: be a very true statement your mind. If you use
- 10:54Speaker 1: it like a parachute, it works better when it's open. Y'all.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You're show ladies and gentlemen. I have the undivided attention.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Please last word. Man just always got an I didn't
- 11:14Speaker 1: have it. You know, maybe you should be over there

- 11:29Speaker 1: it die. Just come to work as infrequent as he do.

- 20:11Speaker 1: they started making that duct taping black boy, I thought
- 20:14Speaker 1: we had a right. Stop referring to everybody as sport
- 20:21Speaker 1: scood yam, little man, baby girl, girlfriend, sweetie coopee a
- 20:27Speaker 1: little bit. That's not their name, y'all there, but the
- 20:33Speaker 1: baby girl, this god like baby girl. I like baby girl.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I can't stop doing that, all right, things old man
- 20:45Speaker 1: need to do to stop to track younger women. Here
- 20:47Speaker 1: we go. Here's an omen. Stop sucking your teeth, stop

- 21:19Speaker 1: with not wrong with that. That's what a broom is,
- 21:24Speaker 1: all right. Hurry up when you approach a younger woman,

- 21:39Speaker 1: want to love that list. I saw you guys all
- 21:42Speaker 1: over that list. Okay, coming up next, it's the Nephew,
- 21:45Speaker 1: the King of Pranks would run that frank back. You're
- 21:48Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Morning Show. Alright, coming up the
- 21:52Speaker 1: Nephew King of Pranks with a prank phone call. You
- 21:55Speaker 1: ain't married? Thank you? Ask your question? Man? Yeah, when
- 22:02Speaker 1: you introduce your pranks, are you angry? No, I'm in
- 22:07Speaker 1: I'm in prank mode. Oh that's what. Yeah, that's prank
- 22:12Speaker 1: mold hid you ain't married? Hello? Hello, I'm trying to
- 22:18Speaker 1: reach Brian. Yeah. How are you doing? Brian? My name
- 22:21Speaker 1: is Daniel. Uh wanted to give you a call today.
- 22:24Speaker 1: You got a minute? Yeah? Okay listen. Um you're you're Brian? Um? Brian? Right?
- 22:30Speaker 1: You're married to uh Alpia? Yeah? Hello hello, yeah, yeah,
- 22:36Speaker 1: that that's that's me. That's my wife's Yeah. Okay, I
- 22:40Speaker 1: got a question for you. Hello. Have you guys been married?
- 22:43Speaker 1: Going on nine years now? We've been married? Now? Who
- 22:46Speaker 1: is he? My name is Daniel? Were you um? Were
- 22:50Speaker 1: you guys married a Greater New Missionary Baptist Church. Uh,
- 22:54Speaker 1: let me see, yeah, yeah, that's the name of that church. Yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 1: by nine years Yeah, that's right. Why what's going on?
- 23:01Speaker 1: What's asked me on this questions? Okay, do you remember
- 23:04Speaker 1: the minister that officiated your actual wedding ceremony? Yeah? Uh,
- 23:11Speaker 1: reverend right, Okay, I got the right person. I wanted
- 23:14Speaker 1: to make sure I had the right person, Brian. So
- 23:17Speaker 1: I'm I'm sorry if if it seemed a little weird
- 23:19Speaker 1: to you. Here's here's what's going on. We've just come
- 23:23Speaker 1: up with a new discovery a lot of information that
- 23:27Speaker 1: Reverend none of his credentials are true. Everything is false.
- 23:32Speaker 1: He's not a minister at all, he never was a minister,
- 23:36Speaker 1: and every single wedding ceremony that he officiated is basically
- 23:42Speaker 1: null and void. So, and I hate to be the
- 23:45Speaker 1: bearer of bad news, but you and Alphea, even though
- 23:49Speaker 1: you think you've been married for nine years, you guys
- 23:51Speaker 1: are not married. No, no, no, no, not that you
- 23:56Speaker 1: gotta have the wrong person, because then then we got
- 23:58Speaker 1: we got married by nine years ago. And what I'm
- 24:06Speaker 1: telling you is he he never was ordained he's never
- 24:09Speaker 1: been an ordained minister. He's not a minister at all.
- 24:12Speaker 1: So when he performed this ceremony, your wedding ceremony, he
- 24:16Speaker 1: had no right to be doing that. You guys are
- 24:18Speaker 1: not are not married. You know you guys have been
- 24:21Speaker 1: living in sin for nine years. Hold on, hold hold
- 24:24Speaker 1: on that. Let me tell you something. I ain't been
- 24:26Speaker 1: living man and my wife we have been married for
- 24:29Speaker 1: nine years. And that man he's a preacher. I'm telling
- 24:32Speaker 1: he's a preacher. Sunday Sir, as of today he is.
- 24:37Speaker 1: He has no right to be in anybody's pulpit. He
- 24:39Speaker 1: has no right to be officiating, whether it's weddings or funerals,
- 24:43Speaker 1: no matter what it is, christenings for children. He's not
- 24:46Speaker 1: allowed to do that. And we have officially stopped him
- 24:49Speaker 1: from doing anything serving under as being a pastor or
- 24:54Speaker 1: a minister. We have stopped that. But what I want
- 24:57Speaker 1: you to know is that you have been living in
- 24:59Speaker 1: sin in and you don't you that. We want to
- 25:02Speaker 1: try and get you guys married as soon as possible.
- 25:05Speaker 1: So you're not living in sin. Oh, No, doc, I
- 25:07Speaker 1: ain't been living in no sin. I have been married
- 25:10Speaker 1: for nine years. This woman ship have been taking care
- 25:13Speaker 1: of me and my kids for the past nine Wait,
- 25:15Speaker 1: wait a minute, wait a minute. You guys. Have you
- 25:17Speaker 1: guys have children? Yeah, yeah, we got to two kids,
- 25:21Speaker 1: two beautiful kids. Okay, then those kids are bastards satards.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Hold on, let me tell you something. My kids ain't
- 25:26Speaker 1: no bastard. What about your kids, your kids on basketts? No, sir,
- 25:29Speaker 1: my kid My kids were born in wedlock. Your kids
- 25:32Speaker 1: have been born out. I'm telling you that man did
- 25:37Speaker 1: my service and he is a preacher. He's a man
- 25:40Speaker 1: after God's own heart himself. He hasn't done everything that
- 25:44Speaker 1: he come for me and my family. He is a preacher, sir.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I don't I know it's hard for you to to
- 25:50Speaker 1: to swallow the truth, but I want you to know,
- 25:52Speaker 1: and I need you to be able to tell outfia
- 25:53Speaker 1: that you guys are not married and not as of
- 25:56Speaker 1: right now. No, no, okay, so heard a heart of
- 25:59Speaker 1: hund now back in olden days, but before all these,
- 26:03Speaker 1: all these colleges and stuff came came about, you telling
- 26:06Speaker 1: me that there men making old days, that they weren't
- 26:08Speaker 1: no placeers, that they weren't meant men after the clough?
- 26:12Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying to me? Uh what what
- 26:14Speaker 1: what are you? What are you? What are you? What
- 26:15Speaker 1: are you getting at? Sir? What I'm trying to say
- 26:18Speaker 1: is back in the older days, making the twitters and thirties,
- 26:20Speaker 1: they didn't have all these colleges and all these degrees
- 26:22Speaker 1: and stuff like these new preachers got these days. That
- 26:25Speaker 1: man now he was from back then, and God called
- 26:28Speaker 1: them and that's what they went on to. And all
- 26:30Speaker 1: them people that they married back then, they did the
- 26:33Speaker 1: same thing to day. You don't need no degree to
- 26:35Speaker 1: say that that you're a preacher. You don't need no
- 26:37Speaker 1: lights to say you're a preacher. Man, My wife would
- 26:40Speaker 1: be married for nine years. My kids have been born
- 26:43Speaker 1: in wedlocks. We were married, we were mad. I've read
- 26:47Speaker 1: my friends and family day was all there. Sure. The
- 26:49Speaker 1: bottom line is that that you have been living in
- 26:52Speaker 1: sin because you have not been married with your wife
- 26:54Speaker 1: for the last nine years. And your kids, I hate
- 26:58Speaker 1: to say it, your kids are bastards. Now O. Now,
- 27:01Speaker 1: I've been told you don't say nothing else about my kids,
- 27:04Speaker 1: and I ain't no cuss up, but don't push me.
- 27:06Speaker 1: My kids ain't no bad said. You're understand me. You
- 27:09Speaker 1: don't get me up, sir. I'm trying to give you
- 27:11Speaker 1: the truth and try to get you in here and
- 27:12Speaker 1: get you married so you will not be living in
- 27:14Speaker 1: sin any more than what you are. I am living
- 27:17Speaker 1: in no sins. Look now, you don't make me whoop
- 27:20Speaker 1: your a s s You understand man, my wife we
- 27:23Speaker 1: are been married for nine years. Don't shot up here
- 27:26Speaker 1: a coll me talking about the We ain't mat that
- 27:28Speaker 1: that man ain't no, you're understand I get out of
- 27:31Speaker 1: my phone. You that's my life. Those are my kids.
- 27:35Speaker 1: They have been born in red lives. Do you understand, sir?
- 27:38Speaker 1: So I just wanted to call and give you the
- 27:41Speaker 1: information so that you could probably stop living in sin.
- 27:43Speaker 1: That's all I wanted to do. I ain't living in
- 27:45Speaker 1: no sin. That's what I just told you. You ain't
- 27:47Speaker 1: hear me. I ain't living a no sin. Maybe you're
- 27:49Speaker 1: the one that's living up some sin. Now. You ain't
- 27:51Speaker 1: got nothing else said to me? That man if married
- 27:54Speaker 1: us nine years ago. They get your a S. Thats
- 27:56Speaker 1: on my phone? So I so I have one more thing,
- 28:00Speaker 1: one more thing I'd like to say. Nothing else to
- 28:02Speaker 1: say to me. You ain't get your a SF off
- 28:04Speaker 1: my m phone do you understand me? I ain't got
- 28:08Speaker 1: time for this, sir. Can I say one more thing?
- 28:11Speaker 1: What you gotta say on me now? Because I just
- 28:12Speaker 1: wanted to let you know that this is nephew Timmy
- 28:15Speaker 1: from the Steve Harpy Morning Show. Your wife and feel
- 28:18Speaker 1: got me to prank phone call you. Oh man, Oh
- 28:25Speaker 1: lord it doy uh doya, I almost went in on

- 28:53Speaker 1: feel about me? Keep telling you? I'm gonna say it again.
- 29:02Speaker 1: There are some ministers out there who have not been
- 29:05Speaker 1: ordained that that you know, marrying people, and these people
- 29:10Speaker 1: ain't really married people walking around and relay mayor hello,
- 29:18Speaker 1: punching me every baby they're getting longer turned into an
- 29:28Speaker 1: all right, thank you enough. Actress Brigitte Nielsen, you guys, remember, yeah,
- 29:33Speaker 1: she's pregnant, but guess what. It's her fifth child and
- 29:36Speaker 1: she's fifty four years old. Have you seen she's really big?
- 29:42Speaker 1: Well yeah, yeah, she starting Rocky four. She started Beverly
- 29:47Speaker 1: Hills cost exactly exactly. I did not understand that. Yeah.
- 29:54Speaker 1: She revealed her baby bump on Instagram. She wrote to
- 29:57Speaker 1: the families getting larger. She posted another photo with the
- 30:00Speaker 1: caption happy time. This is her first child with her husband.
- 30:03Speaker 1: He's a thirty nine year old Italian. She has four
- 30:06Speaker 1: children by three previous relationships. She was, yes, in a
- 30:09Speaker 1: relationship with with Sylvester Stallone and of course she dated yeah,
- 30:13Speaker 1: Mark casting Ona who of course she dated Flavor. That's
- 30:17Speaker 1: when you can't explains what's show type, what you're doing.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Did you have a clock? Yeah? Boy? All right, we'll
- 30:36Speaker 1: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 30:38Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Cleveland Brown Safety Da Marius Randall underestimated two things. Okay.
- 30:49Speaker 1: He underestimated the power of social media, and he estimated
- 30:53Speaker 1: the passion of Cleveland fans. Okay, all right. He's a
- 30:58Speaker 1: big fan. He's a big fan of Golden State Star
- 31:01Speaker 1: guard Stephen Curry. Sefon Curry Randall posted a tweet promising
- 31:06Speaker 1: that if the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Warriors in the
- 31:09Speaker 1: two thousand eighteen NBA Finals, he would buy everyone who
- 31:13Speaker 1: retweets this a jersey. That's what he put on social media. Okay, exactly, exactly.
- 31:20Speaker 1: He underestimated social media. Randall's tweet had been retweeted and
- 31:25Speaker 1: get this eight hundred and sixty nine thousand times. He said, Honestly,
- 31:32Speaker 1: I didn't think it was going to get over a
- 31:34Speaker 1: hundred and it was a joke and he will not
- 31:37Speaker 1: be buying jerseys. Okay. Randall, he came to the Browns
- 31:42Speaker 1: in a March trade from from Green Bay, says he
- 31:45Speaker 1: is not anti Lebron. He doesn't want you to think that,
- 31:48Speaker 1: and that he's actually a big Lebron fan as well.
- 31:51Speaker 1: But when he's going up against Steph, he would just
- 31:53Speaker 1: rather Steph win over Lebrons. Yeah. I can fulfill that
- 31:58Speaker 1: order right here in Los Angeles, California. The swap meat
- 32:02Speaker 1: on Slawson. It don't be out but a hundred and
- 32:06Speaker 1: fitted don't just boy, he don't understand. When you come
- 32:14Speaker 1: to Cleveland, man, you got to be Cleveland all in. Yeah, don't.
- 32:19Speaker 1: We don't do that. He underestimated we Cleveland man. Just now,
- 32:22Speaker 1: if you won't take your ass back to Green Bay, boy,
- 32:25Speaker 1: you don't come to Cleveland with that learned. Just forget
- 32:29Speaker 1: social media. Okay, will we see your ass out somewhere?
- 32:34Speaker 1: Oh that's your problem? Betterheader dog mine. I ain't get
- 32:43Speaker 1: them Jersey, but don't wash him whatever you do other Cleveland.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Other Cleveland players had advised him that he should not
- 32:51Speaker 1: have pet pressed send on his those are the most
- 32:54Speaker 1: dangerous words on your phone. Then then it has got
- 32:58Speaker 1: more people in trouble eight hundred and sixty nine thousand times.
- 33:03Speaker 1: It was retweeted that at the first game, we're gonna
- 33:10Speaker 1: see some sides he needed he needed to do over.
- 33:16Speaker 1: We're trying to win a title here. Now. I know
- 33:19Speaker 1: that Cleveland is the underdogs, clear about that. But were
- 33:23Speaker 1: pulling for Cleveland though, so let us win. Now, Okay,
- 33:27Speaker 1: did you say Cleveland. That's if it means something, you
- 33:32Speaker 1: say it like Cleland. You just leave that V off
- 33:35Speaker 1: if you want to. I've never before Cleland, Cleanland. We cleaning.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Come up in here now it's cleaning. You don't know
- 33:49Speaker 1: where ya? Okay, the V is like Hey, what about me?
- 33:53Speaker 1: Like Brian, we leave it out, but you you're on
- 33:57Speaker 1: the Browns team that you can't go. Steph Curry was
- 34:01Speaker 1: on family feud this year. You'll see it. Steph Curry
- 34:06Speaker 1: against Chris Paul's fan. I told them they would be
- 34:12Speaker 1: in the fun. We talked about it. D C. I
- 34:16Speaker 1: mean Steph Currey used to go to Chris Paul's camp.
- 34:20Speaker 1: They got the same financial managers. Dimmer boys is tight.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Their fathers know each other, their families know each other.
- 34:28Speaker 1: They grew up together in North Carolina. Ain't even know
- 34:31Speaker 1: that Dale Curry friends with Chris Paul's daddy. Their mamas
- 34:36Speaker 1: know each other. It was really revealing. Man, Sure if
- 34:40Speaker 1: you could do, don't care how much you like him.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I like him too, but his ass got to go
- 34:45Speaker 1: down and you're on the Browns now period. All right, Steve,
- 34:50Speaker 1: it's time to catch up on today's national news. Please
- 34:53Speaker 1: introduce the Lovely One, Ladies and gentlemen, Miss and True.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Thanks guys, good morning, everybody. This and trip with the news.
- 35:00Speaker 1: While the State of Florida's and the news again here
- 35:03Speaker 1: get this, this time for awarding the family of an
- 35:05Speaker 1: unarmed black man, a father of three a mere four
- 35:09Speaker 1: dollars four dollars after he was shot dead by police
- 35:12Speaker 1: over a noise complaint. A St. Louci County deputy fatally
- 35:15Speaker 1: shot thirty year old Gregory Hill Jr. Through his garage
- 35:17Speaker 1: door after a woman across the street called in a
- 35:20Speaker 1: noise complaint. Now, local law there says that a misdemeanor
- 35:23Speaker 1: is handed out for a persons third noise complaint, but
- 35:26Speaker 1: this is Mr Hills. First, the cops claimed they shot
- 35:28Speaker 1: Hill because he flashed a gun. A weapon was found
- 35:31Speaker 1: in his back pocket, but it wasn't loaded. There was
- 35:33Speaker 1: no blood on it, which the family attorneys has proved
- 35:35Speaker 1: it was never out of his pocket or in his hands.
- 35:38Speaker 1: The jury awarded four dollars to his family for pain
- 35:40Speaker 1: and suffering, and then reduced that award to four cents
- 35:45Speaker 1: four cents. U S allies up in arms over President
- 35:48Speaker 1: Trump's announcement that he will not extend any exemptions from
- 35:51Speaker 1: his news tariffs on aluminum steel imports. It does a
- 35:55Speaker 1: taffs going kicking actually in midnight. So now Canada and
- 35:58Speaker 1: Mexico are promising to strike back I imposing duties on
- 36:00Speaker 1: American stuff. European Union tends to bring its case before
- 36:03Speaker 1: the World Trade Organization and respond to the new Trump
- 36:06Speaker 1: terraces with up to three billion dollars and hepty fines
- 36:09Speaker 1: on US imports by the middle of this month. President Trump,
- 36:12Speaker 1: by the way, has issued several pardoners, some popular, others
- 36:14Speaker 1: not so much. For instance, he did pardon uh posthumously
- 36:18Speaker 1: the first black heavyweight champion, Jack Johnson, that was a
- 36:21Speaker 1: part in many folk was long, long, long, long overdue.
- 36:24Speaker 1: But the President is also pardoned fiery right wing commentator
- 36:27Speaker 1: to nish de Suza, who pled guilty four years ago
- 36:29Speaker 1: to violating campaign finance law. He says he's thinking about
- 36:32Speaker 1: pardnering Martha Stewart's convicted in two thousand four of conspiracy
- 36:36Speaker 1: and other charges, and of commuting the fourteen year prison
- 36:39Speaker 1: sentence given to Illinois Governor Rob Ugloevic for corruption. Secte
- 36:43Speaker 1: State MOMP Mike Pompeo says the news is good. He
- 36:46Speaker 1: and his team making progress with the North Koreans over
- 36:49Speaker 1: the past few days about that summit that they want
- 36:51Speaker 1: to do. Several community and immigrant groups across the country
- 36:54Speaker 1: planning a national Day of Action today to protest the
- 36:57Speaker 1: treatment of immigrant families by US immigrant authorities. Demonstrations planned
- 37:01Speaker 1: for today at noon and New York City, d C,
- 37:03Speaker 1: Los Angeles, Chicago, and some other cities. Actually, so that's
- 37:06Speaker 1: going to be going on a lot of places. You're
- 37:07Speaker 1: gonna see that on TV. Organized to say they'll be
- 37:10Speaker 1: protesting the breakup of families at the border, as well
- 37:12Speaker 1: as the reported abuse of immigrant children while in the
- 37:15Speaker 1: custody of border patrol agents. And today is don't give
- 37:18Speaker 1: Up the Ship Day, Nice day for sale. We'll be
- 37:24Speaker 1: back with more entertainment and today's stranding topics twenty minutes
- 37:27Speaker 1: after the hour to Steve Harvey. Morning child, you're listening
- 37:30Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Show. All right, Carlos, So what
- 37:34Speaker 1: is going on with this whole Push Your Tea and
- 37:36Speaker 1: Drake Beef? I mean water hells. I'm in it to
- 37:44Speaker 1: wrap battle exactly. I don't know. There's so much tea
- 37:48Speaker 1: for the fans. Okay, So I don't know if Drake
- 37:51Speaker 1: started it or what happened, but Push Your t Is
- 37:54Speaker 1: basically said that Drake has ghost writers for his songs. Yeah,
- 38:01Speaker 1: so then Push Your t released this disk tract called
- 38:04Speaker 1: add a Don and so in the dis tract, he
- 38:07Speaker 1: said that Drake had an illegitimate child. So everybody was like, what,
- 38:13Speaker 1: Drake has a kid? You know, nobody had ever heard
- 38:16Speaker 1: that before. So then it turns out TMZ is reporting
- 38:20Speaker 1: that Drake does have an illegitimate child with a former
- 38:24Speaker 1: porn star, and that Drake has been paying child support.
- 38:28Speaker 1: So people are like, well, dang, it's Drake a dead
- 38:30Speaker 1: be dad. Is that what push your t is trying
- 38:32Speaker 1: to say? So it turns out that Drake has been
- 38:35Speaker 1: paying child support to the mother of this child, but
- 38:39Speaker 1: he does want a DNA test to prove the paternity
- 38:42Speaker 1: of the child. So cool. I mean, you know, from
- 38:47Speaker 1: what the reports are saying, if you're not yours on
- 38:52Speaker 1: the next tax return, it will be reported, especially more importantly,
- 38:58Speaker 1: though more poorly. Do anybody have a picture of a poem? Start?
- 39:03Speaker 1: That's really what I'm yes, yes, that's what you got
- 39:05Speaker 1: out of this. Yeah, I'm kind of your tim me
- 39:09Speaker 1: on that. I don't see what she looks like. Yeah,
- 39:12Speaker 1: I've been read to agree with that. But even if
- 39:16Speaker 1: Drake do have a baby with a pounch, he ain't
- 39:18Speaker 1: the present there right the story? Daniel? Yeah Brusso that's
- 39:26Speaker 1: her name. She's beautiful. Yeah, So okay, So that. Get
- 39:29Speaker 1: the picture, send it to time. Okay, give me the
- 39:32Speaker 1: name of getting called Sophia. You're messed Tommy Sophiel home
- 39:37Speaker 1: now go ahead. What's the last name? Sophia Brusso B
- 39:43Speaker 1: r U S S A U X No, no, you
- 39:49Speaker 1: got ex. I stop typing right now. I don't have
- 39:52Speaker 1: no where to put anywhere. I can promise you looking
- 39:58Speaker 1: sucking look good all he put in with Sophia. I
- 40:07Speaker 1: ain't nobody man at Drake. Okay, I'm looking at the picture. Yes,
- 40:14Speaker 1: so fifty and put a picture of and they so
- 40:18Speaker 1: they got a line in there about my suits or something.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Little Duval on his Instagram got the same picture up
- 40:24Speaker 1: that they put a little Duval safe. Keep the old
- 40:27Speaker 1: g out of this. Coming up next, j Anthony Brown
- 40:33Speaker 1: is going to murder another hit friends with this one.
- 40:39Speaker 1: I'm about to lose another friend right after this. You're
- 40:43Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve J
- 40:47Speaker 1: is here murder yet another relationship and hit. What's happening?
- 40:55Speaker 1: I hope you're not friends with this person. It's about
- 40:58Speaker 1: rosean bar jack it out on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Everybody racist. R h H. You just can't say it.
- 41:17Speaker 1: You can't. You just can't save you in words. You
- 41:24Speaker 1: better be black. Use the racial slur they make you.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Tek it back. You'll have no sponsors left jobless and
- 41:32Speaker 1: read the time. Don't be caught up in slirty LUNs.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Rose and she loves the show from making racist statements.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Her sister was her boss. She wasn't hesitating. We'll let me.
- 41:48Speaker 1: I'm on set. It's not okay. You'll be for stone
- 41:51Speaker 1: Tak worked on your black relations rolls. But don't want it.

- 42:49Speaker 1: I know. My heart goes out to the c Yeah.
- 42:53Speaker 1: But but yeah, and and and let me tell you
- 42:55Speaker 1: something else. This little thing that's starting to boil because
- 42:58Speaker 1: they're saying that the president of ABC is a black woman.
- 43:01Speaker 1: I want you all to understand something. Do not let
- 43:04Speaker 1: this take legs, because that ain't what this is. When
- 43:08Speaker 1: you see Bob Iger, who is the head man of
- 43:12Speaker 1: Disney which owns ABC, when he calls Veller Jerry, this
- 43:19Speaker 1: came from the top, because if it had come from
- 43:24Speaker 1: this woman at ABC, she would have made the call
- 43:27Speaker 1: to Valerie Jerry. This this came from where up top, y'all,
- 43:34Speaker 1: So this ain't been don't do not allow Roseanne to
- 43:39Speaker 1: turn this into a racial issue, cause the woman that's
- 43:41Speaker 1: the head of ABC is black. This firing. When you
- 43:45Speaker 1: get rid of a top rated show, this was ABC's
- 43:49Speaker 1: newest show, when you get rid of that type of
- 43:52Speaker 1: money that got to come from some board directors. That's
- 43:56Speaker 1: got come up there, brother elevator, we don't know nothing body,
- 44:00Speaker 1: that's the flow. You can't go on. Yeah that and
- 44:05Speaker 1: let me say this. Look, look, look, we we live
- 44:09Speaker 1: in a time man where a person can lose their
- 44:12Speaker 1: job for just about anything. Almost yeah. Yeah. But what
- 44:18Speaker 1: Roseanne had done, she had laid down a track record
- 44:24Speaker 1: of insensitive racial remarks. Yeah. That made a lot of
- 44:27Speaker 1: people question why ABC hired her in the first place.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Why while she was off air, but ce that's not
- 44:33Speaker 1: ABC's job. Though ABC's job. They can only hold you
- 44:37Speaker 1: accountable when you are under contract from ABC. They can
- 44:42Speaker 1: hold you responsible for that. They can't hold you responsible
- 44:45Speaker 1: for that, you know, especially if it wasn't an issue,
- 44:47Speaker 1: because if nobody made an uproar about these racial statements before.
- 44:52Speaker 1: But like Don Lemon lace the man because he showed
- 44:55Speaker 1: the national anthem to Hitler cookies, I know, and Susan
- 45:02Speaker 1: Rice an ape when she was Roseanne bar Jewish? She yes,
- 45:10Speaker 1: she is. I think she is Jewish, Steve, because I
- 45:12Speaker 1: think I remember her one time for her child's bab mitzvah. Yeah,
- 45:16Speaker 1: she bought him a range Rover on a jeep. Was thirteen,
- 45:19Speaker 1: couldn't even drive. I think actors from the show, we'll
- 45:25Speaker 1: still get paid. What know that? What about the crew?
- 45:29Speaker 1: All right, Tom, we gotta move on here, guys. Um
- 45:33Speaker 1: Coming up next, it's the nephew with the prank phone call.
- 45:36Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to, all right, Coming up
- 45:42Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after,
- 45:45Speaker 1: it's Today's Strawberry Letters subject. My mind says no, but
- 45:49Speaker 1: my body says yes. But right now it is the nephew,
- 45:53Speaker 1: he's here with today's prank phone call. What you got
- 45:56Speaker 1: King of Pranks? Cake? Lady? The cake did? This is Barbara? Yeah,

- 46:40Speaker 1: my daughter's school on Tuesday, and you know she and
- 46:43Speaker 1: junior High school, thirteen years old. The cake was supposed
- 46:46Speaker 1: to have hand on Montowna on it, and it was

- 46:52Speaker 1: over there today and I can't, for the life of
- 46:55Speaker 1: make believe that this is happen. Were in her class froom,

- 47:00Speaker 1: principle that came down we've been to have cake and
- 47:02Speaker 1: ice cream for the kids and when they own up
- 47:04Speaker 1: the cake it's a man's private part on the cake.
- 47:08Speaker 1: What Oh no, sir, No, sir, no, sir, no something. No,

- 47:50Speaker 1: answer the question so we can get this settled. Sir. No,
- 47:53Speaker 1: what is the owner there? Excuse me? I am the owner.
- 47:56Speaker 1: My name is Bobba. Now if you give me the information,
- 48:00Speaker 1: I'll try to make this thing right because it couldn't
- 48:02Speaker 1: have been my company. Are you absolutely sure, sir? I'm
- 48:05Speaker 1: positive y'all are the ones that delivered the damn O listen,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I got all these thirteen year old kids and their
- 48:11Speaker 1: traumatized and the teachers and okay, looking at me, crazy, sir,

- 48:22Speaker 1: have took that private part man, I can understand, but
- 48:26Speaker 1: I don't think it was my company, okay, because we've
- 48:29Speaker 1: never made a mistake like that. Now, we're very careful
- 48:31Speaker 1: with that kind of stuff. Now, certain, hold on one night,
- 48:34Speaker 1: come here, do you know anything about a cake? Deliver
- 48:37Speaker 1: a Hannah Montana cake going to the middle school today? Y'all?

- 48:44Speaker 1: talked to my driver and he's been with me about
- 48:47Speaker 1: eight years, sir, and we've never had a problem like this.
- 48:49Speaker 1: He's never delivered a cake over there, sir. Are you
- 48:52Speaker 1: sure it was my cousin? Damn? Show this place, lady,
- 48:56Speaker 1: it's this place your driver line. You know, you know
- 48:59Speaker 1: mistakes can be made, but I can't. I can't make
- 49:01Speaker 1: a mistakes like that. You got a man's private part
- 49:04Speaker 1: in in front of the thirteen ye old kids that
- 49:06Speaker 1: an I can't understand. I would be upset to. I
- 49:09Speaker 1: have children too, so I can understand what you're trying
- 49:11Speaker 1: to say. But said, what I'm trying to tell you
- 49:13Speaker 1: is this is not my company you're talking about. We
- 49:16Speaker 1: wouldn't have done anything like that. I've been in business
- 49:18Speaker 1: with thirteen years. What is your name? My name is Barbara. Okay,
- 49:22Speaker 1: so you're the one behind all of this on this
- 49:24Speaker 1: damn cake is full of behind the montano and wind
- 49:27Speaker 1: up being a man's private party on the cake. Come
- 49:31Speaker 1: on to stop and think about your school and the
- 49:36Speaker 1: duck cake to a school. Now, I understand you up.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Do you understand what has happened at my daughter's school?
- 49:43Speaker 1: And I apologize parts, sir, but I don't believe that
- 49:46Speaker 1: you ordered the cake from my company. Okay. As a
- 49:49Speaker 1: matter of fact, we make cakes on Friday, sir. Wasn't
- 49:52Speaker 1: no cake delivered today? Sir's a Tuesday? And what the
- 49:55Speaker 1: hell I mean? Ain't nobody even cake on tody? Sir?
- 49:58Speaker 1: I have told you that that couldn't have happened here
- 50:02Speaker 1: at my company. Okay, let me know. Okay, I'll be
- 50:05Speaker 1: happy to make a cake for you, sir, and to
- 50:08Speaker 1: send it to your daughter. But sir, it wasn't my
- 50:11Speaker 1: company that don't want no more damn cake. Let me
- 50:14Speaker 1: tell you something. Let me tell you what I'm going
- 50:16Speaker 1: to do. Lady. I'm gonna call my lawyers. I'm gonna
- 50:18Speaker 1: get with the police, and I'm coming over there to
- 50:21Speaker 1: shut that down. You won't sell a cupcake when I
- 50:24Speaker 1: get through with y'all. Sir, you know what you don't
- 50:27Speaker 1: go to fun. Let me tell you something. This is

- 50:33Speaker 1: You ain't gonna come up here and do it. I'm
- 50:35Speaker 1: gonna shut that. You come on your mammy won't even
- 50:41Speaker 1: know who you are. You need to get off my
- 50:43Speaker 1: phone with this. That's something ignorant in the first place. Sir.

- 50:50Speaker 1: your name? Already told you my name is trouble whatever.

- 51:09Speaker 1: up company. Do you understand me? I don't understand everything
- 51:13Speaker 1: you're saying. And I understand. When I get over there,
- 51:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna shut it down. Me and the police won't
- 51:19Speaker 1: come mine here and get you step dialing and you're
- 51:21Speaker 1: gonna have a daughter. I'm crying over your now, I'm choking.

- 51:28Speaker 1: I got one more thing I need to stay down, lady.
- 51:30Speaker 1: It's thing to tell me talking about shifting down my company. Yes,
- 51:35Speaker 1: I got one more thing. If you're listening to me,

- 52:41Speaker 1: gotta ask you one more thing. What is What is

- 55:24Speaker 1: you don't. All right, let's go can to draw him
- 55:28Speaker 1: here my own life. I'm trying. You need to write
- 55:30Speaker 1: a letter. Buckle up, hold on tight, strawberry Let thank
- 55:38Speaker 1: you enough subject. My mind says no, but my body
- 55:42Speaker 1: says yes. Dear Stephen Shirley, I am in desperate need
- 55:46Speaker 1: of advice. I am a thirty year old female and
- 55:49Speaker 1: I am still a virgin. I grew up in the church,
- 55:53Speaker 1: and I was taught to wait until marriage before sharing
- 55:55Speaker 1: that part of myself. Somebody want to get that, Somebody
- 56:00Speaker 1: would get that. I believe that if I did, the
- 56:04Speaker 1: Lord would send me a husband. But now here I
- 56:08Speaker 1: am thirty years old, still single, and wondering if I
- 56:11Speaker 1: am just being naive. All of my friends who started
- 56:14Speaker 1: having sex in their teenage years are all married. I'm
- 56:17Speaker 1: starting to think that they did things the right way.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I've dated a lot of guys, but whatever, whenever things
- 56:23Speaker 1: get physical, I would pump the brakes. Am I crazy
- 56:26Speaker 1: to believe that there's a man out there there wait
- 56:28Speaker 1: for me till marriage. Maybe I should start having sex
- 56:32Speaker 1: and just follow your ninety day rule. She's talking about you, Steve.
- 56:35Speaker 1: I have a friend that used your ninety day rule,
- 56:37Speaker 1: and now she's engaged with all of the sexy pictures
- 56:40Speaker 1: and videos and social media. The pressure is on me
- 56:43Speaker 1: to have sex. I honestly don't know if I can
- 56:46Speaker 1: wait any longer. My mind is telling me no, but
- 56:49Speaker 1: my body is saying yes. I feel like I'm on
- 56:54Speaker 1: I feel like, um, I'm on an island by myself,
- 56:57Speaker 1: and I'll never get a man this way. Mr Harvey
- 56:59Speaker 1: I know you're good at giving advice and love and sex,
- 57:01Speaker 1: So can you give me some guidance should I do
- 57:04Speaker 1: it or not? I got just gotta tell you, first
- 57:08Speaker 1: of all, congratulations on still being a virgin at thirty
- 57:11Speaker 1: years old. I mean, in these days and times, that
- 57:14Speaker 1: is really unheard of. It really is. Uh. Yeah. The
- 57:18Speaker 1: crazy part is if you're a Christian and you believe
- 57:20Speaker 1: in the Bible and everything and what it says, you
- 57:23Speaker 1: are the one that's right. I mean, you know, we
- 57:25Speaker 1: gotta tell it like it is. The Bible teachers that
- 57:28Speaker 1: sex should be between a husband and a wife. So no,
- 57:31Speaker 1: you're not being naive. Uh, You're doing what's morally and
- 57:35Speaker 1: biblically sound. And oftentimes you will be on an island
- 57:38Speaker 1: by yourself because most people, yes, are getting it in.
- 57:41Speaker 1: They are on a regular basis, daily basis, all the time.
- 57:46Speaker 1: So you feel like you should jump in because everybody
- 57:48Speaker 1: else is doing it. You feel that pressure, but you
- 57:51Speaker 1: know that's not a good enough reason. You know, if
- 57:53Speaker 1: you're a Christian, you gotta stick up for your principles
- 57:56Speaker 1: and what you believe in. Don't let the world change
- 57:59Speaker 1: who you are. You gotta believe in God, you gotta
- 58:02Speaker 1: trust him and you gotta wait on him. Steve, Well,
- 58:08Speaker 1: this is a really, really hard letter to advice because
- 58:13Speaker 1: our conflicting views. Here. To be honest with you, she's
- 58:18Speaker 1: a desperate leader. She's thirty year old, she's still a virgin,
- 58:21Speaker 1: grew up in the church, talked to wait before marriage
- 58:24Speaker 1: before sharing that part of myself. And he was she
- 58:28Speaker 1: believed she did, God was sending her husband was. She's
- 58:31Speaker 1: thirty years old. Now all her friends who started having
- 58:34Speaker 1: sex and their teenage year isn't married. I'm starting to
- 58:39Speaker 1: think they did the right thing. Am I crazy to
- 58:41Speaker 1: believe that there's a man out there and will wait
- 58:43Speaker 1: for me till marriage? All right, let's start addressing some
- 58:46Speaker 1: of these things. All my friends having sex and their
- 58:50Speaker 1: teenage years they are all married. Uh, you can work.
- 58:55Speaker 1: It can backfire. As Shirley said, technically, you're doing it
- 59:01Speaker 1: the correct way. It's just that we don't live in
- 59:04Speaker 1: a correct world, and so we all succumbed to worldly
- 59:09Speaker 1: things from time to time. We are all born as sinners.
- 59:15Speaker 1: That's what we do, all of us, and so we're
- 59:19Speaker 1: all guilty of it. So who am I to tell
- 59:24Speaker 1: you to stop doing it the right way and do
- 59:28Speaker 1: it like everybody else? Is it? Am I crazy to
- 59:32Speaker 1: believe that there's a man out there that will wait
- 59:34Speaker 1: for me to match. God can send you anything, but
- 59:38Speaker 1: the average man is not. Period. It's really funny because
- 59:42Speaker 1: last week I did a show before the season ended
- 59:45Speaker 1: for my talk show. I did a show where I
- 59:46Speaker 1: had half audience single men, half for the single women.
- 59:50Speaker 1: I settled in a split so the women was at
- 59:52Speaker 1: one side. This one girl that I was trying to
- 59:56Speaker 1: really help attractive ye old twenty eight ye old black girl,
- 59:58Speaker 1: really attractive girl to care of herself. She was looking
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: for a man. So the guy wanted to introduce her
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: to was on one of my dating shows. Turns out
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: to this guy was bisexually, so that wasn't gonna work.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: And the way we found out was in a really
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: shocking way. Right, so she's not interested in dating a
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: God is by right? So I had another guy in mine.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: So when I had the women stand up to say
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: what they were looking for, like if they had a
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: woman would stand up and I would say, do you
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: want a man who has kids? She'll say less than
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: two kids. Anybody with more than two kids can sit down.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: You know, we were eliminating in that way. You follow
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So then I said, what's the other requirement?
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: This woman said, standing up in front of an audience,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: feeling half man, I will not have sex with a
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: man until I'm married. So if you're wanting sex, you
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: can sit down. Let me sit you. Weren't there every man?
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Every man on that set up? I believe it? And
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: she went, oh my god, are you guys serious? And
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I went, lady, hold on, you cannot meet a man
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: day one and tell this man you're not having no sex.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: You can't drop that information on the man until you
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: all have been dating for a minute. There has some
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: heavy interest going on. The pennantant got to a point
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: where they're starting to rub and touch some stuff. Then
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: you gotta break it to him near he's already got
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: to feel something for you. You can't go day one.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I'm I'm looking for a man that don't want to
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: have sex? Go who that? Who is that man that
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: don't want to have sex? And that's what she said,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: if you want to have sex, you can sit down. Now.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: The whole room sat down. She was disgusted with him,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: and I told us, as sister, you went about this
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: the wrong way. So are you crazy to think that
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: there's a believe that man will wait for you and
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: to marriage. No, you're not crazy, but a lot of
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: men are not. Let's just be honest. Then you said
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: maybe I should start having sex and just follow your
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: ninety day rule. The reason I did the ninety day
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: rule because most people are not going to not have sex,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: so at least let me give you a little bit
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: of room to find out more about the man for
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: you give yourself to him so you can stop some
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: of the major disappointments. After two weeks, I finish up
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: my response right after this. Yeah, we're gonna gonna be
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: the same. We're gonna have part two of Steve's response,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: which is gonna be just like coming up at twenty
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: three after the hour. Be quiet, Tommy, you're listening to
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Steve Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's go with
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: part two of your response to today's Strawberry letter. The
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: subject my boyfriend, I mean, the subject my mind says no,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: but my body says yes. Let's recast. Uh, Be quiet, Tommy,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: thirty year old woman still a virgin, Uh, thinking maybe
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: she should start having sex because all her girlfriends and
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: has sex and they're married. Now, am I crazy believe
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: that as a man out there who will wait for
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: me to marriage. No, you're not crazy. But he's gonna
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: have to be in love with you first. That's my opinion.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Maybe I should start having sex and just follow your
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: ninety day rule. I put the ninety day rule in
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: place so women could stop having sex with me and
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: on the first, second, third date night and then find
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: out later on the stuff that you could have known
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: that you took a little bit of time to do
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: your homework. It's just a protective rule. Some woman thought
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: that was too long. Yeah. Now, with all the sexy
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: pictures and videos on social media, the pressure me to
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: have sex. The pressure is on me to have sex,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: that's true. Honestly, don't know if I could wait any longer.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: My mind is telling me no, but my body is
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: saying yes. Well, little girl, let me share. So my body,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I've been saying yes for sixty one years. I don't yeah, so,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: so she don't seem like she's the only one. This
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: little girl. Honestly don't know if she can wait any longer.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Her mind is telling her no, but her body is
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: saying yes. Now, little girl, I would love to tell
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: you to hold out and stay strong. And if it's
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: about your faith, didn't you shoot? Is it going to
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: be difficult? Yes, it is my mind what I'm saying.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: My mind is telling me no, but my body screaming. Yes.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: We don't really want to sing. Ain't like I can
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: sing to the top again, to the thing. One time
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: man said, I not keeps telling me no, but my
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: body yeah stupid. Oh yes, come on. You know when
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: your body's talking to you can yeah, Oh yeah, I'm out. Hey,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Hey did you see that this young lady? Yeah, I'm
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: not right now, you're singing Chales, that's all I'm here. No,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell this little girl. She's
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: thirty years old. Listen, here's a deal. You gotta follow
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: your heart. Yes, you gotta do what's best in your heart.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: I can not tell you to stop doing the way
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: you're doing it, because that may not be the answer.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: If you've trusted God this far, the only way that
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: to see what God got for you and get to
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: the end results is you got to see it through now.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: If you switch courses right now, that may not be
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: what God wants you to do. You're in a tough position.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: It's so hard, you know, I wrote this book. But
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: also let's let's just let's just be honest. J would
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: you wait? Hell no, Tommy, that's you know, you know,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: asking crazy. I can't wait, and I ain't got nobody can't.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: I'm about to get ned soon. We could do with
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: this ship. It's how much time we got for this,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: we all And like you said, it's hard to me
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: the man that's really willing to wait when you first
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: say that at the gate, and you say that at
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: the gate, it's like, oh, yeah, you know, I don't
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: need me getting into this because this is not what
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I want to do. Yeah, but I promise you, once
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: you start, you're not gonna stop. Yeah, I once promise
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: you that. But Steve, it's all of her right to
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: follow her heart. You know, let's say to her heart.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: My heart didn't lie to me something to day And
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I don't know. It's a tough ladder man. I don't
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: really need what to say that. I feel firm, you know,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: I tried weight. Yeah, so much money in waiting, and
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: it's just don't work out. What do you mean there's
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: so much money? Well, you put money in waiting, you jumps,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: just not gonna hang around and not spend the money.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: There's dinners, there's movies, and there's ranting, how you buying
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: couches and stuff like that, blind sending kids school money.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: It's a lot of money. We ain't done a damn
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: thing yet, and waiting and I'm still waiting. No, no,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: somebody need to tell me something. You need to get
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: somebody to dine here to tell me something. And I'm
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: waiting on somebody. Ain't never done it before. You know
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: what you're doing in here talking. So you're supposed to
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: be the sensible one, but he is the foods right here.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: But we're gonna be mashing up against each other real strong. Tommy, Yeah, Tommy,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: I was actually done. Now I've actually cut myself back
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: of myself. Your clothes gonna be real ranking. Yeah, you
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: count all changing my pocket. I was grinding so hard
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: one time I cut myself on the inside stitching of
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: the g That's how hard I was grind. It used
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: to call me Mr Coffee because I grind so fine.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Brother po here comes Mr Folks. Just yeah, I had
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: one time. I'm telling you one time I've actually ripped
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: a pay pain it just broke out and told us
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: right out, what's up. What we're gonna do by this?
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: It's been an ugly situation. You don't have to do something.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: We're gonna have this. We got all right, Steve, we
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: gotta go. We gotta get out of here. Email us
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: or Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter at
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: my Girl, Shirley, And thank you everyone who joined me
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: yesterday for Facebook Live the Strawberry Letter Live after Show.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: We're getting more viewers and everything. I appreciate that, guys.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: All right, Coming up next Lisa Borders, the president of
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: the w n b A. She's gonna be here to
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: talk to us about exciting things that are happening this season.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: You're listening. Listen, everybody. We got a special guests this morning.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: This is really good. Uh. This woman right here has
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: been known for just her really really stellar leadership qualities.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: She served uh prior as the president of the Atlanta
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: City Council and h VP of Global Community Affairs at
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: the Coca Cola Company. While she's taken on a new
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: leadership role. This is gonna be fun today, y'all. She
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: is the president of the Women's National Basketball Association the
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: w n b A. The w n b A is
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: in this twenty second season. Uh it uh, it's the
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: longest running women's pro league. So we're gonna find out
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: about this season, the exciting new stuff they got planned.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Uh what, We're just gonna talk to it. Please welcome
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: to the show. The president of the w n b A.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Please welcome, Miss Lisa Borders can welcome. Thank you, thank
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: girl power. Ay. Good to be with all of you
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: all on the air here. Good Lisa, are you doing today?
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I'm doing great. The bless bless, no complaints, be with you. Really, well,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: let's talk about this because w NBA season opener was
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: this past weekend in Las Vegas. Tell us what we
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: can expect from the squad this season, because this is
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: a new team, isn't it. That's right. There are twelve
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: teams altogether, but this is the inaugural season for the
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Las Vegas Aces. This is our newest team and it
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: features the number one draft pick from this year. Her
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: name is Asia Wilson from the University of South Carolina.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: And see listen, this girl is so bad. They are
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: erecting a statue of her at the University of South
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Carolina never been done male or female athlete at the
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: collegiate level, and she has an amazing group around her.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: The number one draft picks from last year is on
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: this team, Kelsey Plumb. The number two draft picks from
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Yukon Mariah Jefferson, is on this team. Kayla McBride, who
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: is an ice cold three point shooter, is on this team.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Sharp shooter. This is some bad girl. See they can
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: who you hear me? They can't. They're playing at Mandalaide
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Bay this year. Wow, you know, I see I watched
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: the w n b A because I'll tell you what,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: it really is good basketball. It's really really some good basketball.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: And them girls can ball. See now, if you're watch
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: an NBA, you you used to this high flying acrool
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: like this. Yeah, and that's great. But if you go
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: out there against them girls, you're gonna get you. You're
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: gonna get your drawls. I'm just telling you right now.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: You go out there messing them girls if you want
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: to thinking you got games, They're gonna hand you your
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: damn lunch. Go ahead, you are right. See. The game
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: is a solid product on the floor. They are collaborative
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: that everybody touches the Rocks. Nobody is ball hungry. Everybody
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: wants to make sure the team wins, so they are
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: really good with the fundamentals and fact. I think Draymond Green,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: the center from Golden State, once said in a Fourth
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Illustrated article, when he wants to sharpen his fundamentals, he
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: watches the women. He watches their feet, he watches their hands,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: he watches how they communicate on the court. It's really
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: pretty incredible. We invite everybody to come if they can,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: to see a game in arena, but if not, you know,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: we are rolling on ESPN and we are streaming live
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: on Twitter. So you help anybody that we keep the
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Rockets leave. We meet anyone NBA Finals in the West.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Let me let me talk to this lady so to
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: talk to us about this. Talk to me about the
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: app and the streaming capabilities for a second. Absolutely, absolutely so.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: We did a deal with Twitter Steve last year and
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: we were the first women's pro league to scream live
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: on Twitter. One of our players, Juel Lloyd, who is
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: just extraordinary. She dropped twenty seven points just the other night.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: She trained with Kobe a lot. That's his little sister.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: Juel said to me Lisa. While I was playing in China,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: I saw the Super Bowls streaming on Twitter. I think
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: we should stream on Twitter. We were already running our
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: games on ESPN, but she said, you know, the younger
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: folks really want a mobile option. They want to be
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: able to go places and still watch the game as
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: opposed to only sitting down watching it for two hours
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: in your nest. So we went to Twitter and said,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: what do you think We have this young group of
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: women and elite athletes, A hundred and forty four from
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: the best athletes in the world. This is a very
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: sound game that they're playing, and they play it extremely well.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: How about we stream some of these games. Let's just
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: take a shot at this. They said, sure, we'll try it.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: They streamed twenty games last year's Steve and on average
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: we were looking at six hundred and thirteen thousand viewers
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: from all across the globe. It's pretty amazing, pretty amazing.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: And we have a couple of players like Skylar Diggins,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: who plays on the Dallas Wing. She's a Notre Dame graduate.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: She has a million Twitter followers. Whenever Skyler is playing,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: the averages are over a million. Because Skyler turns on
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: her network. So this has really given us an opportunity
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: put a stake in the ground and say that we
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: are working hand in glove with social media and not
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: just to tweet or retweet or filter something on snappet.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: We are literally creating content and distributing the content on
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: the Twitter platform on social media. It's really helps us
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: our fans across the globe. These girls in some of
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: these skills sets like three point shooting and free throw
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: shooting and you know stuff like that. You could do
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: some co ed stuff. Man, that could really show how
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: bad these girls really are, because if you put them
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: out at that three point line, them girls right there
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: be dropping their ball in that hole. I'll be man,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: if I had that girl's jump playing, I can still
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: get hard. Bill. You know what, Seed, We accept your invitation.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: You have an open seat at the w NBA table
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: anytime you want to come, whether it's to watch a
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: game or talk to us about marketing or talk to
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: us about creating an even broader footprint for our fan base.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: We are all in. You. Let us know when you're ready.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Lisa Bortis, thank you so much. We'll be in touching
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: and come back on Let's talk about the w NBA
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: from time to time. Absolutely happy to do it. Sing
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: thanks to you and all your crew. We appreciate you.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: All right, take good care. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Okay, guys, this Saturday, June second, we
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: want to make this announcement. If you're in the Dallas
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: metro area, we want you to join our family member.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Junior Junior is having his five k run and fun walking.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: This is benefiting Junior's foundation. It's called Kiers Hope Foundation,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: working to change the shape sale do it man. Yeah,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: Junior is giving back. He's doing his big charity walk
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: tomorrow in Dallas. That's Saturday, June second, at Margaret Hunt
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Hill Trinity River Trail. So now, the pre registration starts
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: at six am and Junior and the crew everyone is
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: gonna start walking or running whatever whichever one you want
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: to do at seven a m. Saturday morning in Dallas.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: You know, we gotta beat that heat. So go to
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: kiers Hope dot org for more information. That's kiers Hope
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: dot org for more information. Yes, Timmy, let me say
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: this to all the people on my Facebook who have
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: upset me. Here will be there. There's nothing wrong with him,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Thank you. He will be putting up bad information. You
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: don't know what you're talking about. My relative, just saying
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: the wrong and putting my boy whole face up there
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: rest in peace. Kill. He ain't gonna here. He'll be
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: And I'm gonna send care of some money to support
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: his foundation. And I'm gonna do I'm gonna do a
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: half a cake. Okay, you're gonna walk half half a cake.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: That's all I'm doing. So will happen one case? Half
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Look I'm doing. I'm helping out with money and I'm
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: gonna do a half a cake, half of a cake.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: I can't. I can't do a whole care you can,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Boy and Steve. If people missed it earlier in the week,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: we we talked about this, Junior is all for a while.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: He lost one of his assistants. He lost his assistant
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: and his friend was his best friend and his roommate
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: here lost him brother named Brian Cook. Out stand. He
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: was not a member of the morning show or the
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: talk show. He worked strictly for Kire. The people who
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: are suffering and loss is his parents, his relatives, his brothers.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: He had brothers and sisters, his sister and father had
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: to come down here to meet with the corner. You know,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: it's just in Atlanta. It was a horrible situation to
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: have to go through for his family. I really really
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: hate that the media has turned this into something else
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: because they try to get eyeballs on their story. Steve
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Harvey's employee, they did a story Man that really her
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: me man because they did some graphics stuff describing him
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: in the hotel room, and that was so unfair. I
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: think people failed to realize that he was the son
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: of a mother and a father that I still living
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: that have to grapple with this loss. And it's unfair man,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: when uh, social media grabbed stuff just so they can't
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: get likes and and views and use as a tragedy
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: like this. I mean, why putting my picture up on
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: it at all because you're trying to draw eyeballs and no, man,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: when the concern should be on the family and Man's
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: that's what the problem is. You know, nobody's devastated, But
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: ain't nobody hurting like that mother and father and then
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: brothers and sisters. Ain't nobody hurting like them? And I
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: don't want it to turn into that. It's just that's
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: what it is. The brother passed in his sleep. It
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: was natural, natur none of That's what makes it even
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: more alarming because man just out of nowhere. And so
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: we're praying for our brother and and also Brian Cook's
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: family Mr. Ms Cooking, his brothers and sisters and nephews
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: and nieces and here. Man he's taking it really, really
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: rough because he found him, he found his best friend.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: That's that's hard to do. I mean, so I've seen
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: it and he asked me how to handle it. But
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: you can't advise people on grief because grief is an

- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Harvey Show. Cleveland brown Safety to Marius, Randall underestimated two things, okay.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: He underestimated the power of social media, and he estimated
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: the passion of Cleveland fans. Okay, all right, he's a
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: big fan. He's a big fan of Golden State star
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: guard Stephen Curry Stefan Curry. Randall posted a tweet promising
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: that if the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Warriors in the
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: two thou eighteen NBA Finals, he would buy everyone who
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: retweets this a jersey. That's what he put on social media. Okay, exactly, exactly.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: He underestimated social media. Randall's tweet had been retweeted and
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: get this, eight hundred and sixty nine thousand in times.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: He broken. He said, honestly, I didn't think it was
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: going to get over a hundred and it was a joke.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: And he will not be buying jerseys, Okay. Randall, he
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: came to the Browns in a March trade from from
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: Green Bay, says he is not anti Lebron. He doesn't
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: want you to think that, and that he's actually a
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: big Lebron fan as well, but when he's going up
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: against step he would just rather Steph win over Lebrons.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: There you go. Yeah, I can fulfill that order right
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: here in Los Angeles, California, the swap meets. It won't
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: be out with a hundred and fitted that just bored.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: He don't understand when you come to Cleveland again, you've
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: got to be Cleveland. All yeah, we don't do that.
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: He underestimated cland just if you won't take your ads
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: back to Green Bay. Boy, you don't come to Cleveland
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: with death learn just forget social media. Okay, can we
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: see your ass out somewhere. Oh that's your problem? Better
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: dog mine. I didn't get them Jersey, but don't wash
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: him whatever you other Cleveland. Other Cleveland players had advised
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: him that he should not have a pet press send
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: on his tweet, those are the most dangerous words on
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: your phone. It has got more people in trouble eight
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: hundred and sixty nine thousand times. It was retweeted that
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: at the first game, we're gonna see some sides he
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: needed he needed to do over we're trying to win
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: a title here. Now. I know that Cleveland is the underdogs,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: clear about that. But we pulled for Cleveland though, so
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: let us win. Now, Okay, did you say Cleveland if
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: it means something, you say like you if you want
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: to before Cleveland, we Cleanland. Come up in here now
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: it's Cleanland. You don't know what ya? Okay? The v
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: is like, hey, what about me? Like we leave it out.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: But you you're on the Browns team that you can't go.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: Steph Curry was on family feud this year. You'll see it.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: Steph Curry against Chris Paul's family. Okay, I told them
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: they would be in the funal. We talked about it.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: Steph Curry used to go to Chris Paul's camp. They
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: got the same financial managers. Them boys is tight. Their
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: fathers know each other, their families know each other. They
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: grew up together in North Carolina. Ain't even know that, right, Steve,
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: coming up our last break of the day, and of
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: course you're fabulous closing remarks. We will be back at
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: nine after the hour you're listening to. All Right, here
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: we are last break of the day, and here's our
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: fearless leader to take us home with closing remarks. Uh
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: you know, um, I guess in the light of so
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: many tragic things happening. Oh, there are people who are
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: grieving this week. Ah, there's our president making another wrong
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: statement on the wrong side of an issue, complaining that
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: Bob Iger didn't call him to apologize, as if calling
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: Valerie Jared was how could you do that and you
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: don't call him apologize to me? Um, With everything that's
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: going on in this world, it's it's it's it's so
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: much going on, you know in social media. Don't let
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: nothing die. It just goes on and on and on.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: I just want to remind people you gotta stay focused, man,
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: you gotta stay focused on where you're going. Even in
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: your loss, even in grieving, you're still here. I have
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: lost some incredibly important people in my life. I'm sure
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: those of you listening can say the exact same thing,
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: that you have lost some incredibly important people in your life.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: And I can tell you flat out it was never
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: a good time losing these people. It never seemed right
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: to me at all. I never could wrap my mind
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: around the loss of my mother. I did not understand
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: the law of my father. I did not understand the
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: loss of my big brother. I did not understand the
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: loss of my best friend. And I'm sure so many
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: of you can say the same thing. But I was
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: sitting there at my mother's funeral and the minister said
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: something really important. He said, I want you to know something.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: And the five of us were sitting there looking at
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: our mother, and he said, I know, y'all hurt. I
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: could sit in your face, and we were all on
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: the front row. He said, but I want you to
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: turn around and look at how packed this church he
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: is and meet my brothers and sisters at my mom's funeral.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: We turned around and we looked, and the church was
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: jam packed. I didn't even realize then he made the announcement.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: He said, I want you all to know that the
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: overflow room is completely full, too, and that there are
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: people standing on the steps outside and in front of
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: the church. They came to honor your mother. My mother
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: was a Sunday school teacher for forty years. And I mean, man,
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: everybody was at my mama's funeral. Politicians, but I'm talking
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: about hustlers, gangsters, pimps, dope boys, everybody my mama had
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: taught as a Sunday school teacher who tried to save them.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: They all came and made a statement of how your
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: mama tried to save us. And I was sitting there
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: at my darkest moment, and the preacher said something that
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: was really profound. He said, I know y'all crying right
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: now and you're heavy, but I want you to think
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: of all the good things your mother did. I want
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: you all to think of all the joy, all the
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: things she taught you. And I want you to look
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: at the sides of the crowd of this church that
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: looks like an Easter Sunday in here now because they
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: come to pay homage to your mom. He said, now
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: think of those good things because us when you do.
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: And I noticed, man, that my spirit started lightening a bit,
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: that I wasn't as dark man, because I started thinking
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: about the man. There's a lot of people in here. Man,
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: my mama touched a lot of people. And he told
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: me something. He said, joy and depression cannot reside in
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: the same space. Joy and depression cannot reside in the
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: same space. That was my greatest takeaway at my mother's funeral. So,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: when you lose a loved one, and I know it's hard.
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: Think of all the good times, think of the smiles
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: and the laughs and the moments and the memories. And
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: remember that time when he Remember that time when she boy, you,
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: remember that time when he was over here and they
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: did this, and they did that, And let that smile
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: come over your face. Because even though they go on,
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: the one great takeaway you can have is you still here.
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: Or you might miss that person, but you don't miss
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: him so much that you want to go with him now.
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: So you gotta steal get the takeaway that you're still here.
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: And what can you learn from the demise of your
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: loved one, of your friend, of your coworker. What can
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: you learn That life is fragile, that life is has
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: an unsure to you about it. That you should start
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: living your life to its fullest, That you should take
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: advantage of things, That you should be a little bit
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: more grateful, That you should stop and smell the roses
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: along the way. That you should take some time out
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: to tell somebody that you love how much you love.
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: That you should take the time to say thank you.
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: And maybe you should write a note, maybe holt somebody
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: you ain't talked to in a while. Maybe you need
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: to mend a relationship that's been kind of broken over
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: the years. Before you mess around and the next time
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: you see them they're in a box. Then it's too
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: late to say, Man, I should have got with you.
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I wish we had have been closer. I
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: forgave a friend, an old friend at my mother's funeral
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: who had done me so dirty. Whatever he had done
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: to me that I thought was so dirty, it was
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: nothing like sitting up there looking at my mom in
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: that casket. Man. So you learned a lot in grieving
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: and in depth. Just remember that God kept you here
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: and they passed through your life for a certain point
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: and for a special reason. Keep that in your heart,
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: keep smiling, keep living. Those are my closing remarks, y'all.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: Have a great weekend, y'all. Wheel, I work past. I
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: love toil for all. Steve Harvey contests. No purchase necessary,
