- 0:01Speaker 1: Michael Cohen, Well, he's cooked, serve him up on a
- 0:04Speaker 1: platter to the Trump organization. After being forced to admit
- 0:08Speaker 1: under oath, Yeah, I stole like tens of thousands of dollars,
- 0:12Speaker 1: at least that he's admitting to right now. I think
- 0:15Speaker 1: there's probably a pretty good chance he may have stolen
- 0:16Speaker 1: more money. They just didn't know exactly which asked which
- 0:19Speaker 1: question to ask him about other payments. But he did
- 0:22Speaker 1: have to admit under oath that he stole tens of
- 0:25Speaker 1: thousands of dollars from the Trump organization. This is the
- 0:31Speaker 1: same witness that they are telling you the jury. You
- 0:34Speaker 1: gotta trust him. The entire case is around Michael Cohen.
- 0:39Speaker 1: How did it happen? Take a listen to this from
- 0:42Speaker 1: the transcript from the courtroom.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Finch and Cohen confirms that he owed Redfinch fifty grand
- 0:49Speaker 2: and never paid the full cash. Trump's attorney Bland says,
- 0:54Speaker 2: you stole from the Trump organization. Cohen says, yes, sir.
- 0:58Speaker 2: He also confirms lying to Allan Iselberg. I don't know
- 1:02Speaker 2: how many of that is on the list, but that's
- 1:04Speaker 2: another prevarication. And Cohen says he never pleaded guilty to
- 1:08Speaker 2: larceny on they go. Blanche presses Cohen, you did steal
- 1:11Speaker 2: from the Trump organization based upon the expected reimbursement of Redfinch,
- 1:15Speaker 2: and he says, yes, sir.
- 1:16Speaker 1: So that's yes, sir. There it is Steve Michael Cohen here.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Did you steal from the Trump organization?
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Asked again, you did steal from the Trump organization, correct, Cohen?
- 1:32Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 1:34Speaker 1: So this is just the beginning of what we now
- 1:37Speaker 1: know about what he stole. Now, let's put this into perspective,
- 1:41Speaker 1: so you understand what Michael Cohen just admitted to stealing
- 1:47Speaker 1: money and bezzling money.
- 1:48Speaker 3: From the Trump organization where he worked.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Is actually, you ready for this a more serious crime
- 1:57Speaker 1: than falsifying business records, which is what this woke activists
- 2:02Speaker 1: DA is accusing Donald Trump of actually doing. Now, the
- 2:06Speaker 1: question is will they go after Michael Cohen. I'm sure
- 2:10Speaker 1: in New York they're gonna say no, no, We're not gonna
- 2:12Speaker 1: go after him.
- 2:13Speaker 3: He's one of ours.
- 2:14Speaker 1: He's one of ours, and this disaster turns into the
- 2:18Speaker 1: prosecution resting their case. CNN senior legal analysts set on
- 2:24Speaker 1: Monday on their coverage on CNN that the former president
- 2:28Speaker 1: Donald Trump's business record trial. The witness Michael Coen admitting
- 2:32Speaker 1: he stole money for the Trump organization is a more
- 2:34Speaker 1: serious crime than what Trump is actually charged with doing.
- 2:38Speaker 1: You might want to use that in the closing arguments
- 2:42Speaker 1: to this jury. Now, let me tell you real quick

- 4:59Speaker 1: to Cohen here, So he lies and the media is
- 5:03Speaker 1: having to deal with this, right like, this is a
- 5:06Speaker 1: pretty darn big lie. And I want you to hear
- 5:09Speaker 1: what CNN says about Michael Cohen stealing from the Trump organization.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Not a lawyer, just a common guy, just a humble
- 5:17Speaker 4: cave man. But it seems like it seems like they
- 5:20Speaker 4: should have hit this harder a week ago.
- 5:23Speaker 5: Oh absolutely, And the point you just made about yourself,
- 5:27Speaker 5: that's what the jury is except for two lawyers. Jurors
- 5:31Speaker 5: don't know this stuff and so they need to have it,
- 5:34Speaker 5: you know, really presented to them. And so the fact
- 5:36Speaker 5: that it was minimized in that way by the prosecution,
- 5:40Speaker 5: I think it presents a very good opportunity and closing
- 5:44Speaker 5: for they knew about this, they minimized it the prosecutor
- 5:48Speaker 5: misled this jury.
- 5:49Speaker 3: That's what I would are.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Are you allowed to say that, yes, sir, oh yeah.
- 5:53Speaker 6: The way this was raised and addressed on direct is
- 5:56Speaker 6: what Julia Louis Dreyfus would call YadA, YadA, YadA. I mean,
- 5:59Speaker 6: here's what Michael hell and here's what Michael Cohen.
- 6:01Speaker 7: Said, explained George Costanzo.
- 6:03Speaker 3: No, no, no, it was a lane. It was it
- 6:05Speaker 3: was to it.
- 6:08Speaker 6: Here's the direct testimony that the way Michael Cohen explained
- 6:11Speaker 6: what happened, it's actually.
- 6:12Speaker 3: A girl that Stanza was dating.
- 6:16Speaker 6: Michael Cohen explained this whole thing. Quote, that's what was owed.
- 6:19Speaker 6: And I didn't feel mister Trump deserved the difference. That's
- 6:22Speaker 6: a lot different than I stole sixty thousand dollars from
- 6:25Speaker 6: my boss on the transaction at the heart of this case.
- 6:29Speaker 6: And by the way, the fact that he was ever
- 6:31Speaker 6: charged with larsening is important because stealing sixty thousand dollars
- 6:36Speaker 6: through fraud, which would be larceny in New York State,
- 6:39Speaker 6: is more serious of a crime than falsifying business.
- 6:42Speaker 7: This is one of those instances where I'm really looking
- 6:45Speaker 7: forward to talking to our reporter, our reporters who are
- 6:49Speaker 7: in there to see I understand, and I take your point,
- 6:51Speaker 7: Laura about all of you really about playing to the jury,
- 6:55Speaker 7: but also being careful about reading too much into the
- 6:58Speaker 7: reaction of the jury. I think the answer to your
- 7:02Speaker 7: question about whether or not they really did absorb what
- 7:05Speaker 7: the prosecution said last week or two weeks ago will
- 7:10Speaker 7: be has to be noted by their reaction today in
- 7:14Speaker 7: some way, shape or form, don't you think.
- 7:16Speaker 1: By the way, I love this, I love how they're like, oh,
- 7:18Speaker 1: let's laugh about Seinfeld and talk about that for a second.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Would they have ever done that if this was switched
- 7:24Speaker 1: the other way around, that a Republican lied on the stand,
- 7:26Speaker 1: they'd be going wall to wall massive and they're like, oh, crap,
- 7:30Speaker 1: our favorite guy who we've given countless hours of airtime to,
- 7:34Speaker 1: Michael Cohen, just admitted to stealing from the Trump organization.
- 7:38Speaker 1: And then you have a CNN analyst that says this
- 7:40Speaker 1: is more serious of a crime than what they're accusing
- 7:42Speaker 1: Donald Trump of. It's grand largnity basically, and then saying
- 7:46Speaker 1: this is like major, go to jail stuff. And yet
- 7:49Speaker 1: they didn't charge Michael Cohen with it, and they knew
- 7:52Speaker 1: it right, They knew it, So how do you kind of,
- 7:57Speaker 1: you know, soften this for the viewers that hate Trump.
- 8:00Speaker 1: CNN you talk about YadA YadA, YadA, and this is
- 8:05Speaker 1: like some sort of Seinfeld episode and you all laugh
- 8:09Speaker 1: about it.
- 8:10Speaker 3: You take all that away.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And what CNN said was the defense scored a stunning
- 8:14Speaker 1: revelation that Michael Cohen stole money from the Trump organization
- 8:18Speaker 1: and was not charged with that crime. That's the other
- 8:23Speaker 1: part about this that you need to understand. And I
- 8:25Speaker 1: want you to hear what Trey Gowdy had to say
- 8:27Speaker 1: over at Fox. He's in the courtroom, he's actually in there.
- 8:30Speaker 1: He came out to do this interview on Fox. He's
- 8:33Speaker 1: one of the hosts there now former congressmen. And listen
- 8:35Speaker 1: to what he said about the jury.
- 8:38Speaker 8: And I thought his lawyers quite candidly. They got Coen
- 8:43Speaker 8: to admit that he lied, that he had a motive
- 8:46Speaker 8: to lie, that he would continue to lie in the future,
- 8:49Speaker 8: and then they moved on. They spent most of their
- 8:51Speaker 8: time on pretty esoteric things that I think, in the
- 8:54Speaker 8: final analysis, aren't going to move the jury. So juries
- 8:58Speaker 8: that's what I'll watch. It's the only doll opinions that matter.
- 9:01Speaker 8: They seemed a little bit I don't want to say disinteresting,
- 9:05Speaker 8: because they weren't, but they seemed to be doing this
- 9:07Speaker 8: with their hands, Like, come on and get to the
- 9:09Speaker 8: good stuff. What we care about is if you can
- 9:13Speaker 8: show us that Cohen still is motivated by a desire
- 9:17Speaker 8: to hurt Donald Trump, we're interested. But if you're going
- 9:21Speaker 8: back to a conversation that may or may not be
- 9:23Speaker 8: relevant from four years ago, move on. I just kind
- 9:26Speaker 8: of mentally saw them doing this a little bit.
- 9:28Speaker 9: So, Trey, if you go back to the original indictment,
- 9:31Speaker 9: the language says with intent to defraud and intent to
- 9:33Speaker 9: commit another crime, but it never articulates what the quote
- 9:37Speaker 9: another crime is. You spend a lot of time in
- 9:40Speaker 9: a courtman as a federal prosecutor. Did you ever take
- 9:43Speaker 9: somebody to court when the defense didn't know what crime
- 9:47Speaker 9: that person was committed with.
- 9:52Speaker 8: I would never have taken this matter to court in
- 9:55Speaker 8: the first place. I don't think, I mean defense passed
- 9:58Speaker 8: on it. Keep that in mind. I mean the Fed
- 10:00Speaker 8: right down the street in the southern disc of New
- 10:02Speaker 8: York took a pass on this. So this is a
- 10:05Speaker 8: political motivation, but the jury's not going to hear that.
- 10:09Speaker 8: So the defense team still needs to treat this like
- 10:12Speaker 8: it like it is a prosecution that exposes the former president,
- 10:18Speaker 8: and they need to treat it like that. There is
- 10:20Speaker 8: a political component to it, for sure, but for these twelve,
- 10:25Speaker 8: if he wants a not guilty verdict, you got to
- 10:28Speaker 8: kind of put that aside.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Trey Gouty makes an interesting point there. Michael Cohen is
- 10:33Speaker 1: actually telling the truth about all of his lies. That's rare,
- 10:36Speaker 1: and the only people they need to make sure I
- 10:38Speaker 1: understand this as he described it, and he's absolutely right,
- 10:41Speaker 1: is the twelve people in the box, and it needs
- 10:44Speaker 1: to be exploited to make it clear to them that, hey,
- 10:48Speaker 1: this guy still has a motivation to lie about Donald
- 10:51Speaker 1: Trump and in fact has made millions of dollars off
- 10:53Speaker 1: of it, which he admitted to today. You look at what
- 10:58Speaker 1: Trey Gowdy said also about this case, and one of
- 11:02Speaker 1: the things he said about this jury is he said,
- 11:05Speaker 1: is the jury is going to.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Be looking at Michael Cohen.
- 11:08Speaker 1: They've got to ask themselves a question, can I trust him?
- 11:12Speaker 1: They also found out that he's made over four million
- 11:15Speaker 1: dollars trashing Donald Trump on social media, TikTok payments, books,
- 11:20Speaker 1: et cetera. So hating Trump has made Michael Cohen over
- 11:24Speaker 1: four million dollars that obviously has to be brought up
- 11:27Speaker 1: as well. But listen to the second part of what
- 11:30Speaker 1: he said.
- 11:30Speaker 9: Just so folks at home get this correct. This is
- 11:33Speaker 9: the way it unfolded. This morning, Tray Cohen testifies on
- 11:36Speaker 9: repayment to a high tech company, Redfinch, for fifty thousand dollars.
- 11:39Speaker 9: Cohen says he repaid Redfinch twenty k. Cohen confirms he
- 11:43Speaker 9: never paid Redfinch the full fifty thousand. Todd Blanche produces
- 11:47Speaker 9: that Cohen stole from the Trump organization. Cohen agrees that
- 11:50Speaker 9: he stole from the Trump organization. Cohen says he left
- 11:53Speaker 9: the Trump organization believing that he had paid back the
- 11:56Speaker 9: fifty thousand dollars to Redfinch. When Trump Organization grows up
- 11:59Speaker 9: coins compensation, he pocketed that money too. Cohen admits to
- 12:03Speaker 9: essentially stealing sixty thousand dollars from the Trump organization. So
- 12:08Speaker 9: he lied to his client, He secretly recorded his client,
- 12:12Speaker 9: and then this morning he admitted that he stole from
- 12:15Speaker 9: his client. What was it like being there watching all
- 12:19Speaker 9: of this unfold?
- 12:23Speaker 8: That wasn't even the most surprising part of the morning.
- 12:25Speaker 8: I mean, yes, it is rare to have a witness
- 12:28Speaker 8: admit yeah, I stole money from one of my clients.
- 12:32Speaker 8: The most amazing part to me is that Michael Cohen
- 12:35Speaker 8: just spent three hours asking a jury please believe me
- 12:39Speaker 8: when I'm telling you about all my lives. That is
- 12:42Speaker 8: not a good strategy for a witness that wants to
- 12:45Speaker 8: be believed to say, yes, I lied about this, and
- 12:48Speaker 8: I have a financial motive in lying, and I want
- 12:50Speaker 8: to run for Congress. Don't forget about that. He admitted
- 12:53Speaker 8: this morning he wants to run for Congress. He wants
- 12:55Speaker 8: someone to do a documentary on him. But all of
- 12:58Speaker 8: those lives you should just regard because this one time,
- 13:01Speaker 8: this one time, even though I have sworn to get
- 13:04Speaker 8: revenge and it's better cold and hot, please believe me.
- 13:09Speaker 8: I just would not want to be the prosecutor having
- 13:12Speaker 8: to convince a jury of that. Having said that, the
- 13:15Speaker 8: other big observation this morning is this judge is seemingly
- 13:20Speaker 8: cutting the alegs out from under the trunk defense. If
- 13:23Speaker 8: they're planning on calling an expert to go into what
- 13:27Speaker 8: is involved with efforts to influence an election, the judge said,
- 13:30Speaker 8: I'm not going to let that happen. I don't mind
- 13:32Speaker 8: a high strike zone. I don't mind a low strike zone,
- 13:35Speaker 8: just being uniform. And I can tell you I went
- 13:38Speaker 8: I came this morning saying, never seen this judge before.
- 13:41Speaker 8: I'll keep an open mind. The reality is the prosecution's
- 13:45Speaker 8: getting every jump ball and the defense ain't getting any
- 13:48Speaker 8: of them.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I love the way he described it, so Cohen Liede
- 13:53Speaker 1: he took a bunch of money. And not only did
- 13:56Speaker 1: he take a bunch of money, he's now saying he
- 13:58Speaker 1: wants to run for Congress and he wants somebody to
- 14:01Speaker 1: do a documentary and he and he's made over four
- 14:04Speaker 1: million dollars trashing Donald Trump so far, and then is
- 14:08Speaker 1: caught stealing, which is a bigger crime than what they've
- 14:11Speaker 1: accused Donald Trump of doing in this trial, but no
- 14:15Speaker 1: one's prosecuting him for that, which goes back to CNN.
- 14:19Speaker 1: They're still reeling right like they can only talk about
- 14:22Speaker 1: Seinfeld for so long before they have to tell you
- 14:25Speaker 1: the truth yet again, that this is such a disaster.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Listen to Jake Tapper.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Stuff, and I have to say, I'm still kind of
- 14:31Speaker 4: reeling from the revelation that Michael Cohen stole money from
- 14:36Speaker 4: the Trump organization, and that wasn't, at least to my knowledge,
- 14:41Speaker 4: that the prosecution didn't get that get that out earlier,
- 14:44Speaker 4: because it's not as though the prosecution is going to
- 14:47Speaker 4: be helped by further evidence that Michael Cohen is a
- 14:52Speaker 4: shady character. I mean, let's I'll get to the newest
- 14:56Speaker 4: stuff in a second, but like, i mean, what's just
- 14:58Speaker 4: what's your reaction to that news?
- 15:00Speaker 3: Because that was just kind of stunning.
- 15:01Speaker 10: I'm shocked that we are hearing it for the first
- 15:03Speaker 10: time on day three of cross examination of Michael Cohen,
- 15:06Speaker 10: that the prosecution did not take the sting out, did
- 15:08Speaker 10: not front it, because it goes to the heart of
- 15:11Speaker 10: the actual case. It's not just about establishing him as
- 15:13Speaker 10: a liar. They've done that. The prosecution fronted that. We
- 15:16Speaker 10: knew that he has convictions, but going to the heart
- 15:19Speaker 10: of what you were telling your employer about what money
- 15:23Speaker 10: you were owed and the extent of it. We're talking
- 15:25Speaker 10: about four hundred and twenty thousand dollars. We've already seen
- 15:27Speaker 10: the paper started like fifteen bucks, not afteen bux and
- 15:30Speaker 10: we I mean, if you think are the tablet you
- 15:32Speaker 10: can break down what was already known. We've known about
- 15:34Speaker 10: what the breakdown of the money is. One hundred and
- 15:37Speaker 10: thirty thousand dollars to Daniels and her attorney.
- 15:40Speaker 3: You got fifty thousand dollars.
- 15:41Speaker 10: It's Redfinch.
- 15:42Speaker 3: This is important here.
- 15:43Speaker 10: This was mentioned today that he only gave Redfinch twenty
- 15:46Speaker 10: thousand dollars and handed.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Them in a brown paper bag.
- 15:50Speaker 10: By the way, just the game, that is, And just
- 15:52Speaker 10: one quick note.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Redfinch is this political organization that apparently, according to Michael Cohen,
- 15:59Speaker 4: helped them goose these bogus internet polls about which candidate
- 16:04Speaker 4: is in the lead, et cetera, et cetera, and also,
- 16:06Speaker 4: according to Landy Davis, provided adoring fans for Trump's announcement
- 16:13Speaker 4: of his candidacy in June twenty fifteenth.
- 16:15Speaker 10: Sorry, really important point to add. Why this is they
- 16:17Speaker 10: only got twenty thousand of it, talking though the bill
- 16:20Speaker 10: was for fifty thousand dollars, and you have one hundred
- 16:22Speaker 10: and eighty thousand dollars, which is again the double of
- 16:24Speaker 10: these two combinations.
- 16:25Speaker 3: And then a bonus for Cohen.
- 16:27Speaker 10: Remember all that we have so far to link Donald
- 16:30Speaker 10: Trump to these payments, in part is the statement that
- 16:33Speaker 10: quote unquote he approved it. We also know we have
- 16:37Speaker 10: information about where the checks were, how it was signed.
- 16:40Speaker 10: But remember mcconnie, that was one of the comptrollers of
- 16:43Speaker 10: the Trump organization taking notes from Alan Weiselberg about the
- 16:47Speaker 10: money payment. So this is part of what we're talking about.
- 16:50Speaker 10: Why this is so important here is because the heart
- 16:53Speaker 10: of the matter is that Donald Trump was complicit cause
- 16:57Speaker 10: to have this happen and knew about the money that
- 17:00Speaker 10: was going and why if they can establish Michael Callway
- 17:02Speaker 10: to somebody who is not to be trusted about the
- 17:04Speaker 10: amount of money as well, then they might be able
- 17:07Speaker 10: to suggest that Donald Trump had no idea what he
- 17:09Speaker 10: was saying.
- 17:10Speaker 3: So I love it.
- 17:11Speaker 1: They're like having to admit, okay, So there's a good
- 17:14Speaker 1: chance now that the jury may actually be convinced that
- 17:17Speaker 1: Donald Trump had no idea what this scumbag lawyer was doing,
- 17:21Speaker 1: including a guy that was stealing from his boss while
- 17:24Speaker 1: he's claiming, you gotta believe me now, and that's in
- 17:28Speaker 1: the only ones having a meltdown. By the way, on CNN,
- 17:31Speaker 1: take a listen to this. This is what Flitzerer having
- 17:33Speaker 1: a conversation about this shock moment.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Here's what they said on his show.
- 17:38Speaker 11: Truly amazing stuff that's going on right now. So I'm
- 17:41Speaker 11: truly studying moments in the courtroom to be sure. Earlier today,
- 17:44Speaker 11: Cohen admitting to stashing tens of thousands of dollars from
- 17:49Speaker 11: Trump back in twenty sixteen that was intended to go
- 17:52Speaker 11: to a technology company. Trump attorney Todd Blanche asking him
- 17:56Speaker 11: directly and I'm quoting now, so you stole from the
- 17:59Speaker 11: Trump War organization, Cohen replying, quote, yes, sir.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Can you imagine CNN right now, like they're like, holy crap, right, like,
- 18:09Speaker 1: we got to cover this. This is the same left
- 18:12Speaker 1: wing media, by the way, that gave all the credit
- 18:15Speaker 1: billion in the world to Michael Cohen, a guy they
- 18:17Speaker 1: put on TV twenty four to seven as soon as
- 18:19Speaker 1: he started trashing Donald Trump, who is a felon and
- 18:22Speaker 1: a liar. And now they're shocked that this felon and
- 18:26Speaker 1: liar who they gave credibility to made him famous, have
- 18:30Speaker 1: have handed him over four million dollars in profits of
- 18:33Speaker 1: for And don't tell me there's somebody making you can't
- 18:35Speaker 1: make a living ripping on Donald Trump. This dude went
- 18:38Speaker 1: like to jail and then made four million dollars, all
- 18:41Speaker 1: because he hates Donald Trump. All right, let me take
- 18:45Speaker 1: a moment and talk to you real quick about your
- 18:47Speaker 1: retirement and inflation and the eroding of the power of
- 18:51Speaker 1: the dollar. Right now, inflation is well above what the
- 18:55Speaker 1: Fed's target rate is. You know what's happened. Consumer prices
- 18:59Speaker 1: are much higher than they were last year, or the
- 19:02Speaker 1: year before and the year before that. That's why all
- 19:04Speaker 1: of us need a financial plan that ensures that money
- 19:07Speaker 1: that we save today will be enough for us tomorrow.
- 19:10Speaker 1: And that's why I've diversified my investments to include gold
- 19:14Speaker 1: and silver. Now, there are a lot of gold and
- 19:16Speaker 1: silver companies. You hear them every day if you listen
- 19:19Speaker 1: to conservative podcasts or talk radio, if you watch TV
- 19:23Speaker 1: conservative networks, you'll see tons of companies. Well, let me
- 19:26Speaker 1: tell you about Freedom Gold USA. Reason why I love them.
- 19:30Speaker 1: They preach protection and diversifying your assets. They will not
- 19:34Speaker 1: take you to put all your money in gold and silver.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Now here's the other thing that is really important to you.
- 19:38Speaker 1: You work hard for your money, just like I do.
- 19:40Speaker 1: And on average, they charge twenty five to thirty percent
- 19:44Speaker 1: less than most major gold and silver firms. So the
- 19:48Speaker 1: ones that you hear from they're going to charge you,
- 19:51Speaker 1: on average twenty five to thirty percent more than what
- 19:55Speaker 1: you're going to pay. When you call my friends at
- 19:58Speaker 1: Freedom Gold USA, you can take control your financial future
- 20:02Speaker 1: right now, and you can also get free silver in
- 20:05Speaker 1: your account. They will walk you through the process, talk
- 20:08Speaker 1: to you about about diversifying your investment, your IRA, your
- 20:11Speaker 1: four oh one K or having just physical gold in
- 20:14Speaker 1: your safe.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Take control now.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Visit FREEDOMGOLDUSA dot com, slash ben, that's freedom Goold USA
- 20:22Speaker 1: dot com slash ben, or you can call them one
- 20:25Speaker 1: eight hundred sixty five five eight eight four three. That's
- 20:30Speaker 1: one eight hundred sixty five five eight eight four three,
- 20:33Speaker 1: or online it freedom Goold USA dot com slash ben.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Now former Assistant DA Eric Hirshman saying this on Fox
- 20:43Speaker 1: News Channel about what just happened.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Take a listen.
- 20:46Speaker 12: It's hard to understand how the judge is not going
- 20:49Speaker 12: to grant a directed verdict since there's no evidence that
- 20:52Speaker 12: links President Trump to any record keeping whatsoever. I just
- 20:56Speaker 12: don't understand it, and I don't think all of my
- 20:59Speaker 12: colleague and all the people that I worked with in
- 21:01Speaker 12: the DA's office have all said to me, Eric, go
- 21:04Speaker 12: out and talk about this.
- 21:06Speaker 3: You have the experience to address it.
- 21:08Speaker 12: And they're actually all unanimously, whether they like President Trump
- 21:12Speaker 12: or never trumpers have said they're embarrassed by the DA's
- 21:16Speaker 12: office bringing this type of case and is destroyed the
- 21:20Speaker 12: integrity of my old office.
- 21:22Speaker 1: It has destroyed the integrity of my old office. The
- 21:27Speaker 1: never Trumper just said they're embarrassed. It's destroying the integrity
- 21:29Speaker 1: of my old office. Is a former assistant DA in
- 21:33Speaker 1: this office that brought this case saying we are embarrassed
- 21:37Speaker 1: by it, as they should be embarrassed by it. But
- 21:41Speaker 1: they're gonna let them get away with this because there
- 21:44Speaker 1: will be nothing that happens to Michael Cohen.
- 21:47Speaker 3: He stole from the Trump organization.
- 21:51Speaker 1: And you can see it again go back to what
- 21:53Speaker 1: Jake Tapper said, and Jake Tapper had no problem having
- 21:55Speaker 1: Michael Cohen on's show. This is the reason why I
- 21:57Speaker 1: can't stand Jake Tapper. He is such a fraud when
- 22:01Speaker 1: it comes to like and he always walks around like, oh,
- 22:03Speaker 1: I'm a journalist, like I have integrity.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Dude.
- 22:07Speaker 1: You put all the people on your show for years
- 22:11Speaker 1: that were accusing Donald Trump Russian collusion that we're lying
- 22:15Speaker 1: and you never apologize your audience. You never said you
- 22:17Speaker 1: regret it. You never said, hey, we misled you or
- 22:19Speaker 1: lie to you. You guy gave them a platform, and
- 22:21Speaker 1: then when it comes out it's not true, you're like,
- 22:23Speaker 1: all right, move on. You gave airtime to Michael Cohen,
- 22:27Speaker 1: Your network made Michael Cohen famous, and now all of
- 22:31Speaker 1: a sudden that it comes out that the guy is
- 22:33Speaker 1: a convicted liar and fraud and then he was defrauding
- 22:36Speaker 1: the Trump organization. I'm still reeling from this, like what
- 22:40Speaker 1: you couldn't see it coming? Like, seriously, you couldn't figure
- 22:44Speaker 1: this out that a guy that lie lied under before
- 22:47Speaker 1: and went to jail for lying may have lied about
- 22:51Speaker 1: other things on your show where you guys were propping
- 22:53Speaker 1: him up.
- 22:53Speaker 3: And look, they didn't care.
- 22:55Speaker 1: The reason why they didn't care was real simple, Okay,
- 22:59Speaker 1: they didn't care because they wanted it to be true
- 23:02Speaker 1: because they hated Trump.
- 23:04Speaker 3: And even if it.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Wasn't true, and they knew it was hurting Trump, that's
- 23:07Speaker 1: all that mattered. Let's hurt Trump. Donald Trump, as you
- 23:13Speaker 1: know in this court case, has been put under a
- 23:16Speaker 1: gag order, so there's a lot that he can say
- 23:18Speaker 1: and an awful lot that he can't say. He did
- 23:22Speaker 1: come out in front of the press and I want
- 23:24Speaker 1: you to hear part of what he said.
- 23:26Speaker 13: So thank you very much saw.
- 23:28Speaker 1: What we saw.
- 23:30Speaker 13: That's an incredible desplatin to say they want it in
- 23:33Speaker 13: my life.
- 23:34Speaker 14: The tired and everyone's talking about it.
- 23:39Speaker 13: This is what we have gact judge void to judge
- 23:44Speaker 13: by demons, by the club and thinking being allus. This
- 23:49Speaker 13: is a fourth week or fifth wid I campaigning. But
- 23:54Speaker 13: you saw what happened once just took place in that
- 23:56Speaker 13: quarter and hopefully the emotion he dismissed this trial will
- 24:01Speaker 13: go through because this trial is a disaster for our contry.
- 24:04Speaker 15: It's a disaster for New.
- 24:06Speaker 14: York State, newyorga sagy that Greg Jerry just says, where
- 24:10Speaker 14: exactly is the grime to quote a lumber over line
- 24:14Speaker 14: from Shakespeare's Love I don't know. It's a mystery.
- 24:18Speaker 15: There is just no prime.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Andy McCarthy.
- 24:21Speaker 15: If it's unconstitutional for Texas doing force general Undergradi Olds,
- 24:26Speaker 15: how is it constitutional for New York to enforced federal
- 24:29Speaker 15: electure roll They're going by federal law.
- 24:32Speaker 14: Fever happened because where nobody's ever seen anything like this,
- 24:35Speaker 14: This is a witch children.
- 24:37Speaker 3: This is a witch children.
- 24:39Speaker 13: This is true Cambridge cricket.
- 24:41Speaker 15: Joe Byen, the worst president of the history of York
- 24:43Speaker 15: gone free by far, by far.
- 24:46Speaker 13: To damage his political abu if that's all.
- 24:50Speaker 14: This is highly political judge, a totally conflicted judge who
- 24:57Speaker 14: just is.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Something that nobody's in to see it, and the press
- 25:01Speaker 3: is not happy.
- 25:01Speaker 15: I don't imagine they're just got thrown at him any
- 25:03Speaker 15: one house.
- 25:05Speaker 13: Nobody's ever seen any played by a game.
- 25:09Speaker 3: No one has ever seen anything quite like it.
- 25:11Speaker 1: This trial is a disaster for our country, by the way.
- 25:15Speaker 1: He's right, And remember there's certain things you can't talk
- 25:17Speaker 1: about about, like you know, Michael Cohen stealing from him
- 25:22Speaker 1: like that. That's a problem here that he can't talk
- 25:26Speaker 1: about it because they're not letting him talk about it.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Even MSNBC.
- 25:31Speaker 1: They're trying to rehab Michael Cohen right now and saying
- 25:35Speaker 1: this about Michael Cohen.
- 25:37Speaker 16: I mean, Donnie, we won't know tilts Ober right we
- 25:40Speaker 16: landed with the jury and what didn't and if Michael
- 25:43Speaker 16: Cohen can be undone, if all nineteen days could be undone,
- 25:47Speaker 16: but I it was the twentieth day, Thursday after Toddlande
- 25:51Speaker 16: bombs on his first day, right, cossing Michael conn after
- 25:53Speaker 16: three days a trek. If it could be undone with
- 25:56Speaker 16: one question that one day and then that creates us
- 25:59Speaker 16: no all effect that he followed up on today, then
- 26:02Speaker 16: they probably didn't have a very good case because you
- 26:04Speaker 16: would have to believe then you have to believe that
- 26:07Speaker 16: David Pecker and have Picks and wester Hout and keep
- 26:12Speaker 16: David Simmer all in on it, right, that they were
- 26:14Speaker 16: all in and that that and I actually thought the
- 26:16Speaker 16: moment that Michael Cohen made the whole room crack. I'm
- 26:18Speaker 16: not just a jury but everybody in it, according to transcripts,
- 26:21Speaker 16: because he said, is it better for you Trump, you know,
- 26:23Speaker 16: is convicted or not?
- 26:24Speaker 7: He says, probably better for maybe he's not.
- 26:26Speaker 3: And I'm still out there paying on it. I mean,
- 26:28Speaker 3: that's true, like the idea that anyway say it again.
- 26:32Speaker 17: And of course I've watched Michael interact with a lot
- 26:36Speaker 17: of people over the years, and some people who are
- 26:38Speaker 17: fans and some people that are not fans, and he
- 26:41Speaker 17: has this, he has all those rough edges and all
- 26:45Speaker 17: the lies and all this, but there's something compelling about
- 26:49Speaker 17: him at the same.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Time, you kind of believe it warts and all.
- 26:52Speaker 17: So I don't think you know by the way he's
- 26:54Speaker 17: he's lighting in front of Congress's he's a character, He's
- 26:58Speaker 17: somebody who would be in a.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Moment movie as a fixer or whatnot. That doesn't mean
- 27:02Speaker 3: you don't believe his story.
- 27:03Speaker 17: And the fact that out of twenty five hours on
- 27:05Speaker 17: the stand there was one moment where he got confused
- 27:08Speaker 17: where they cleaned it up afterwards. I don't think particularly
- 27:10Speaker 17: all the corroboration that's on there, right, And you also
- 27:13Speaker 17: don't have to believe that who's going to pay money
- 27:15Speaker 17: on their own for Richard?
- 27:19Speaker 1: I love other doing this, like Michael Cohen has all
- 27:22Speaker 1: those rough edges, this is Zach word and all the lies,
- 27:25Speaker 1: but there's something compelling about him, so you should believe him.
- 27:29Speaker 1: This is MSNBC, like, under no circumstances will they just
- 27:33Speaker 1: tell you? And notice how they didn't mention the real
- 27:36Speaker 1: lie here, like, Hey, you just brought your witness, the
- 27:39Speaker 1: guy that you're supposed to trust, who's a convicted liar,
- 27:41Speaker 1: lied to Congress, who's lied on the stand down multiple times,
- 27:44Speaker 1: who just admitted to embezzling tens of thousands of dollars
- 27:48Speaker 1: from Donald Trump and has made four million plus hours
- 27:52Speaker 1: off of ripping on Donald Trump since he's been convicted,
- 27:56Speaker 1: and says I'll make more money probably if he's not convicted,
- 28:00Speaker 1: because then I can keep banging on him and then
- 28:03Speaker 1: they tell you, yeah, I mean, look, I know he's
- 28:05Speaker 1: rough around the edges, but I mean he's a compelling guy.
- 28:09Speaker 3: I don't know what world they're living in.
- 28:12Speaker 1: But when MSNBC's trying to spin it this way, like, well,
- 28:16Speaker 1: but he's I mean, he's rough around the edges, but
- 28:17Speaker 1: he's just a compelling guy. He just stole money from
- 28:21Speaker 1: the person he's saying is the bad guy here, Like
- 28:25Speaker 1: he's stole tens of thousands of dollars and admitted, you
- 28:28Speaker 1: did you steal from the organization? Yes, yes, I did, Yes,
- 28:32Speaker 1: I stole from the Trump organization. And even Lawrence o'donald
- 28:37Speaker 1: on MSNBC coming out because they must have gotten like
- 28:39Speaker 1: the word okay that is like they must have gotten
- 28:44Speaker 1: the word that, hey, we got to save this guy, right,
- 28:47Speaker 1: we got to say, Michael Cohen, he's too important to
- 28:50Speaker 1: the case. So Lawrence o'donald goes out there on MSNBC
- 28:54Speaker 1: and says, well, but he kind of had a right
- 28:56Speaker 1: to steal the money because he thought he was owed
- 28:58Speaker 1: more money in a bonus.
- 29:00Speaker 18: Are you at?
- 29:00Speaker 7: MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell hosted The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell,
- 29:04Speaker 7: who has been inside the courtroom even there almost every day.
- 29:07Speaker 3: You have the strength of.
- 29:12Speaker 8: Beyond mortal men.
- 29:14Speaker 3: But what was what was worth.
- 29:15Speaker 6: It to you today?
- 29:16Speaker 3: What did you see? What did you hear?
- 29:20Speaker 18: Well, you know, the courtroom is where I began as
- 29:22Speaker 18: a writer and a reporter a long time ago, So
- 29:25Speaker 18: this is a home coming for me in terms of
- 29:27Speaker 18: a workplace. The shocking thing at the end of that
- 29:31Speaker 18: cross examination, and I just can't tell you how just
- 29:35Speaker 18: how stunning it was, because it's the thing that I
- 29:37Speaker 18: was waiting for. I saw everything, Todd blanche. I've seen
- 29:40Speaker 18: every minute of cross examination. I've seen every single question
- 29:43Speaker 18: he's asked. And he sat down and ended his cross
- 29:48Speaker 18: examination without asking a single question about the one hundred
- 29:54Speaker 18: and thirty thousand dollars that appears on the Alan Weiselberg
- 29:59Speaker 18: note about how they were structuring the payment to Michael Collen.
- 30:05Speaker 18: He asked about the fifty thousand dollars that's irrelevant to
- 30:09Speaker 18: the one hundred and thirty thousand dollars, And that's where
- 30:12Speaker 18: he very effectively got Michael Collen to say to agree
- 30:16Speaker 18: that yes, he stole thirty thousand dollars. Later, when Colin
- 30:20Speaker 18: was asked about that on redirect by the prosecution, it
- 30:23Speaker 18: didn't really sound like stealing thirty thousand dollars.
- 30:26Speaker 3: It sounded a lot like Michael Cohen, like like what
- 30:29Speaker 3: in the world, Like what world are you living in?
- 30:31Speaker 3: He asked.
- 30:32Speaker 1: And again I quote when Coen was asked about that
- 30:34Speaker 1: on diirect by the prosecution, it didn't really sound like
- 30:37Speaker 1: stealing thirty thousand dollars. They just asked him directly, did
- 30:40Speaker 1: you steal thirty thousand dollars from the Trump organization?
- 30:44Speaker 3: And his response was yes, sir.
- 30:46Speaker 1: And then they sit there they say, Wow, it doesn't
- 30:48Speaker 1: really sound like like it doesn't really sound like he
- 30:54Speaker 1: stole thirty thousand dollars. Like everybody calmed down. He just
- 30:58Speaker 1: admitted to stealing thirty thousand dollars. They asked him, did
- 31:01Speaker 1: you steal the money?
- 31:02Speaker 17: Yes?
- 31:03Speaker 1: And who pays that much money? By the way, in
- 31:05Speaker 1: a bag of cash? Like he's still I mean a
- 31:09Speaker 1: bag of cash fifty comes in, you give twenty to
- 31:11Speaker 1: the Trump organization.
- 31:12Speaker 3: You keep the other thirty skimming off the top.
- 31:14Speaker 1: And it's like, why, well, I thought I'd deserve more
- 31:16Speaker 1: money from the Trump campaign and our Trump organization and
- 31:19Speaker 1: a bonus. So therefore I just decided, screw it, I'm
- 31:21Speaker 1: just gonna steal a bunch of money. I'm sorry what
- 31:25Speaker 1: And then MSNBC tries to rehab it, like, hey, look,
- 31:28Speaker 1: we gotta say, we gotta say, Michael Cohen, how do
- 31:30Speaker 1: we do it?
- 31:31Speaker 3: Well, that's easy, no problem.
- 31:34Speaker 1: We'll just say that when you steal something, it doesn't
- 31:36Speaker 1: actually sound like he's stealing it, and go on TV
- 31:38Speaker 1: and all you guys say, this isn't a big deal,
- 31:40Speaker 1: and he's still trustworthy somehow, some way, like he's somehow trustworthy,
- 31:46Speaker 1: and just you know, act like he's trustworthy. It'll be
- 31:49Speaker 1: totally fine, and we'll just you know, our audience doesn't
- 31:53Speaker 1: want to hear that Michael Cohen's a liar. Our audience
- 31:56Speaker 1: doesn't want to hear that Michael Cohen is is a scumeback.
- 31:59Speaker 3: There was only I go back to the one of the.
- 32:01Speaker 1: First piece of audio that I played for you, Okay,
- 32:04Speaker 1: and that was right when this happened in Fox News Channel.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Read the transcript.
- 32:09Speaker 1: If anybody's being intellectually honest over at MSNBC or CNN
- 32:13Speaker 1: or ABCNBCCBS, this is the lead tonight and this is
- 32:16Speaker 1: what they should read to the American people, but they
- 32:18Speaker 1: won't do it.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Finch and Cohen confirms that he owed Redfinch fifty grand
- 32:24Speaker 2: and never paid the full cash. Trump's attorney Bland says,
- 32:29Speaker 2: you stole from the Trump organization.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Cohen says, yes, sir.
- 32:33Speaker 2: He also confirms Lyne to Alan Weiselberg, I don't know
- 32:36Speaker 2: how many of that is on the list, but that's
- 32:39Speaker 2: that's another prevarication. And Cohen says he never pleaded guilty
- 32:42Speaker 2: to larsony On they go. Blanche presses Cohen, you did
- 32:46Speaker 2: seal from the Trump organization based upon the expected reimbursement
- 32:49Speaker 2: of Redfinch, and he says yes, sir.
- 32:51Speaker 3: So he says yes, sir. He says yes, sir.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Like that's the whole ballgame, folks, That's that's the whole thing.
- 33:03Speaker 1: He says, yes, sir. Donald Trump saying it this way,
- 33:07Speaker 1: this is a witch hunt. It's an attempt to damage
- 33:10Speaker 1: Joe Biden's political opponent, that is all that it is.
- 33:14Speaker 3: And when Donald Trump said it, he's right, where.
- 33:18Speaker 14: Nobody's ever seen anything like this, this is said, this
- 33:22Speaker 14: is a witch child. This is to damage Crooked Joe.
- 33:26Speaker 13: Biden, the worst president of the issue.
- 33:28Speaker 15: We are going to treat by far, by far to
- 33:31Speaker 15: damage his political movement.
- 33:34Speaker 7: That's all.
- 33:34Speaker 14: This is the highly political judge, a totally conflicted judge,
- 33:41Speaker 14: who just did something that nobody's ever seen it.
- 33:44Speaker 3: And the press is not happy.
- 33:46Speaker 13: I don't imagine they just got thrown out him a moodouse.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Nobody's ever seen anybody, no one's ever seen anything quite
- 33:53Speaker 1: like it. If there's anything that this administration does and
- 33:57Speaker 1: does well today, let me rephrase that. If there's anything
- 34:00Speaker 1: that the defense should do and do well today, it
- 34:05Speaker 1: should be this.
