As the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season officially begins, the Ministry of Health, Wellness & Elderly Affairs is advising all citizens to take proactive steps to protect their health and well-being amid forecasts of an active and potentially dangerous season. According to The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA), the 2025 hurricane season is expected to be above average, with 13 to 19 named storms, 6 to 10 hurricanes, and 3 to 5 major hurricanes (Category 3 or higher) predicted.
