Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Gen. Milley throws Biden under the bus! it proves ‘Biden Lied’: Sen. Blackburn Calls for POTUS to Resign over Afghanistan Debacle!
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Joe Biden lied, and we now have confirmation that Joe
- 0:03Speaker 1: Biden lied to the American people in that George Stepanopolis
- 0:07Speaker 1: interview about the exit strategy and the plan for Afghanistan.
- 0:13Speaker 1: General Mark Millie has also come out and said that
- 0:17Speaker 1: our credibility is being intensely quote unquote reviewed by our
- 0:21Speaker 1: allies around the world. Now, this is all coming out
- 0:27Speaker 1: of these conversations on Capitol Hill, the first time we've
- 0:30Speaker 1: been able to question General Millie. And what is even
- 0:34Speaker 1: more disgusting is the fact we found out that their testimony,
- 0:37Speaker 1: what they were going to say, was not even given
- 0:40Speaker 1: to Congress until like ten thirty at night before the
- 0:43Speaker 1: hearing started. All right, now, before I get into more
- 0:46Speaker 1: of this, I do need to ask you guys to
- 0:48Speaker 1: do be a favorite right now if you're listening. We
- 0:50Speaker 1: were attacked yesterday by a liberal website that activated their
- 0:55Speaker 1: minions to go and write us bad reviews on this podcast.
- 1:01Speaker 1: They do that because it actually has a huge impact
- 1:05Speaker 1: on the ratings and where you rank in the podcasts,
- 1:10Speaker 1: and it pushed us down the charts significantly. If you
- 1:13Speaker 1: have not left us a review, a five star review,
- 1:16Speaker 1: please help us fight back right now and write us
- 1:19Speaker 1: a quick review wherever you're listening to this podcast. Now,
- 1:23Speaker 1: let's go back to the reasoning behind why they waited
- 1:28Speaker 1: till ten thirty at night, the night before their testimony
- 1:31Speaker 1: to give their official testimony to Congress, right so you
- 1:34Speaker 1: can look over it to ask more questions about what
- 1:36Speaker 1: they're going to tell you. Apparently, the reason why they
- 1:39Speaker 1: did this is because the White House wanted to vet
- 1:43Speaker 1: their testimony first before they even send them over to
- 1:47Speaker 1: Capitol Hill. The reason why they're now claiming is because
- 1:51Speaker 1: the White House wanted to vet their testimony because they
- 1:55Speaker 1: knew that there was a very good chance apparently that
- 1:57Speaker 1: General million others were not going to lie on behalf
- 2:01Speaker 1: of the President United It's America when it came to
- 2:03Speaker 1: our exit strategy. Now, there is a lot to break
- 2:06Speaker 1: out here. Diez marked that three two one. There is
- 2:11Speaker 1: a lot to break down here. I want to start
- 2:13Speaker 1: with something else that is totally insane and shocking, and
- 2:17Speaker 1: US Center Marsha Blackburn is going to join us in
- 2:19Speaker 1: a moment to talk about this. We now know that
- 2:23Speaker 1: General Millie, instead of actually trying to get Americans out
- 2:26Speaker 1: of Afghanistan, having a strategy to get us out of Afghanistan,
- 2:31Speaker 1: making sure that we had adequate protection on the ground
- 2:34Speaker 1: in Afghanistan. He was spending time undermining and dogging President
- 2:42Speaker 1: and then former President Donald Trump. Apparently anyone who was
- 2:47Speaker 1: writing an anti Trump book had unfeathered access to the
- 2:51Speaker 1: Joint Chief Chairman who would give them information to make
- 2:56Speaker 1: Donald Trump look bad? How bad was it? I want
- 3:00Speaker 1: you to hear these questions to General Millie confessing under oath, Yes,
- 3:06Speaker 1: that he leaked all the time to book authors about
- 3:09Speaker 1: Donald Trump. General Milly, Yes or no to this. Did
- 3:14Speaker 1: you talk to Bob Woodard or Robert Costa for their
- 3:16Speaker 1: book Peril Woodward, you ask cost or no? Did you
- 3:20Speaker 1: talk to Carol Leonick and Philip Rucker for their book
- 3:23Speaker 1: Alone Can I Fix It? Yes? Did you talk to
- 3:26Speaker 1: Michael Bender for his book Book is Frankly we did
- 3:30Speaker 1: win this election? The inside story of how Trump lost? Yes? Yes?
- 3:35Speaker 1: And were you accurately represented in these books? I haven't
- 3:39Speaker 1: read any of the books, so I don't know. I've
- 3:42Speaker 1: seen press reporting of it, I haven't read the work.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Let's have you read the books and then let us
- 3:47Speaker 1: know if you are accurately appreciated and portrayed. Happy that
- 3:52Speaker 1: this is just totally mind blowing. You have General Milly
- 3:56Speaker 1: literally confessing, yes, I leaked to book authors about Donald Trump.
- 4:00Speaker 1: In other words, anybody that hated Donald Trump, call me.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I'll tell you everything you want to know about this guy.
- 4:07Speaker 1: This is the man who's supposed to be serving under
- 4:10Speaker 1: the President of the United States of America. Now, instead
- 4:12Speaker 1: of actually getting game plans together to get Americans out
- 4:15Speaker 1: of Afghanistan, this is the crap that he was pulling,
- 4:20Speaker 1: doing interviews after interview background and leaking to different members
- 4:28Speaker 1: of the media who were writing books. Now, that's not
- 4:31Speaker 1: the only shocking part here that people need to understand.
- 4:35Speaker 1: If he was doing this to people writing long form books,
- 4:38Speaker 1: how much information was he leaking to just everyday reporters
- 4:43Speaker 1: writing articles in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal,
- 4:46Speaker 1: the Washington Post. The list could go on and on
- 4:49Speaker 1: and on and on and on. I'm genuinely curious. And
- 4:54Speaker 1: he's not the only one that was under questioning. Secretary
- 4:59Speaker 1: Austin quote, we didn't fully comprehend the depths of corruption
- 5:04Speaker 1: and poor leadership in Afghanistan. This is the reason why
- 5:08Speaker 1: he's now claiming things went badly in Afghanistan. Let's just
- 5:12Speaker 1: deal with that for two seconds, you're dealing with the Taliban, folks,
- 5:17Speaker 1: a terrorist organization that's worked with the worst people in
- 5:20Speaker 1: the world. Isis, al Qaida, isis K, the list goes
- 5:26Speaker 1: on and on. They'll work with the Iranians, They'll work
- 5:29Speaker 1: with anybody that would help them blow up Americans. They deceive,
- 5:33Speaker 1: they lie, they steal, they blow people up, they dismember people,
- 5:38Speaker 1: they'd behead people. This is what they do for a living.
- 5:43Speaker 1: They don't exist without this type of behavior, make no
- 5:47Speaker 1: mistake about it. Okay, they don't. I mean, they literally
- 5:53Speaker 1: do not exist, okay without this being their identity. We
- 6:01Speaker 1: blow buildings up, we blow Americans up. We're killing us
- 6:04Speaker 1: some people. We behead people, we cut people's arms off,
- 6:08Speaker 1: we kill Christians, we enslave women. This is what we do.
- 6:14Speaker 1: And now we have Secretary Austin Lloyd, Austin Defense Secretary
- 6:18Speaker 1: on the record now saying well, I mean, one of
- 6:21Speaker 1: the reasons why things when bad in Afghanistan is because
- 6:23Speaker 1: we didn't fully comprehend the depths of corruption. I could
- 6:25Speaker 1: have told you the depths of corruption. Hell, General Millie,
- 6:29Speaker 1: some of the people you were leaking to in these
- 6:31Speaker 1: books about Donald Trump have written books about the corruption
- 6:34Speaker 1: Afghanistan and the Middle East and afg and Taliban and
- 6:37Speaker 1: ISIS and isis K and the list goes on and on.
- 6:40Speaker 1: If this is like new news to you, that you
- 6:43Speaker 1: that there's corruption in Afghanistan, even with the leaders and
- 6:47Speaker 1: the military and the leaders in the government and the Taliban,
- 6:52Speaker 1: I don't care what side you're on, You're not paying attention.
- 6:55Speaker 1: We knew there was corruption. Everybody knows there is massive
- 6:59Speaker 1: corrupt in the government. The government by the way that
- 7:02Speaker 1: we supported and propped up. We knew there was corruption
- 7:05Speaker 1: because well, those guys want to live by the way,
- 7:08Speaker 1: they had to deal with the Taliban, right, they were
- 7:11Speaker 1: playing both sides. They were playing America's side as long
- 7:14Speaker 1: as we protected them more than the Taliban protected them.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And then as soon as America cut and run and
- 7:19Speaker 1: they knew that America was leaving, they made their new
- 7:21Speaker 1: best friends, which used to be their enemy, the Taliban
- 7:24Speaker 1: their best friends. We knew it. This is how it
- 7:28Speaker 1: works in the Middle East. This is not confusing, because
- 7:31Speaker 1: this is how it's always worked in the Middle East.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So for the Secretary of Defense to come out and
- 7:36Speaker 1: act like, you know, breaking news, I'm shocked we had
- 7:39Speaker 1: no idea how corrupt and how poor the leadership in
- 7:42Speaker 1: Afghanistan actually was. So therefore, it's really not our fault
- 7:44Speaker 1: that we left Americans behind. It's not our fault that
- 7:48Speaker 1: we trusted the Taliban, a terrorist organization, to quote give
- 7:54Speaker 1: Americans safe past the airport, which they didn't do. It's
- 7:57Speaker 1: not our fault that we decided to give up Kabul
- 7:59Speaker 1: when we could have trolled the entire area. It's not
- 8:01Speaker 1: our fault that we gave up Bob Gram Air Base
- 8:04Speaker 1: when we shouldn't have done that until we got every
- 8:06Speaker 1: American out to give overwatch and give air support in
- 8:09Speaker 1: case the Taliban decided to screw with us. It's not
- 8:12Speaker 1: our fault. We just didn't see it coming. We didn't
- 8:14Speaker 1: fully comprehend the depths of corruption and poor leadership in Afghanstan.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, how stupid are you? Qually is due
- 8:22Speaker 1: in large portion, in large part to our planning and
- 8:25Speaker 1: prepositioning of forces. As for the mission's end, my judgment
- 8:30Speaker 1: remains that extending beyond the end of August would have
- 8:33Speaker 1: greatly imperiled our people. In our mission, the Taliban made
- 8:37Speaker 1: clear that their cooperation would end on the first of September,
- 8:41Speaker 1: and as you know, we faced grave and growing threats
- 8:43Speaker 1: from I's k so staying longer than we did would
- 8:47Speaker 1: have made it even more dangerous for our people and
- 8:49Speaker 1: would not have significantly changed a number of evacuees we
- 8:52Speaker 1: could get out. So as we consider these tactical issues today,
- 8:57Speaker 1: we must also ask ourselves some fully tough questions about
- 9:01Speaker 1: the wider war itself and pause to think about the
- 9:04Speaker 1: lessons that we've learned over the past twenty years. Did
- 9:08Speaker 1: we have the right strategy? Did we have too many strategies?
- 9:12Speaker 1: Did we put too much faith in our ability to
- 9:14Speaker 1: build effective Afghan institutions, an army and air force, a
- 9:18Speaker 1: police force, and government ministries. We helped build a state,
- 9:23Speaker 1: but we could not forge a nation. The fact that
- 9:26Speaker 1: the Afghan army that we and our partners trained simply
- 9:30Speaker 1: melted away, in many cases without firing a shot took
- 9:34Speaker 1: us all by surprise, and it would be dishonest to
- 9:37Speaker 1: claim otherwise. We need to consider some uncomfortable truth that
- 9:42Speaker 1: we did not fully comprehend the depth of corruption and
- 9:45Speaker 1: poor leadership in their senior ranks, That we did not
- 9:49Speaker 1: grasp the damaging effect of frequent and unexplained rotations by
- 9:53Speaker 1: President Ghani of his commanders that we did not anticipate
- 9:57Speaker 1: the snowball effect caused by the the deals that the
- 10:00Speaker 1: Taliban commanders struck with local leaders in the wake of
- 10:03Speaker 1: the Doha Agreement, that the Doha Agreement itself had a
- 10:07Speaker 1: demoralizing effect on Afghan soldiers, and that we failed to
- 10:11Speaker 1: fully grasp that there was only so much for which
- 10:14Speaker 1: and for whom many of the Afghan forces would fight.
- 10:18Speaker 1: We provided at the Afghan military with equipment and aircraft
- 10:22Speaker 1: and the skills to use them, and over the years
- 10:25Speaker 1: they often fought bravely. In tens of thousands of Afghan
- 10:28Speaker 1: soldiers and police officers died, but in the end we
- 10:32Speaker 1: couldn't provide them with the will to win, at least
- 10:34Speaker 1: not all of them. And as a veteran of that war,
- 10:37Speaker 1: I am personally reckoning with all of that. There. It
- 10:40Speaker 1: is so hey, you know what, Sorry, we thought we
- 10:44Speaker 1: did everything we could. Apparently, you know, we just didn't
- 10:47Speaker 1: see it all coming really. General Millie, by the way,
- 10:51Speaker 1: also admitting Biden's Afghan evacuation was a quote strategic failure, failure.
- 10:58Speaker 1: His words, strategic failure. If these are the guys that
- 11:01Speaker 1: we're supposed to be trusting to deal with the Chinese,
- 11:03Speaker 1: the Russians, and every other around the world. We are screwed.
- 11:07Speaker 1: The President called this entire retrograde operation an extraordinary success.
- 11:12Speaker 1: General Miller, in his testimony disagreed with that assertion. General Millie,
- 11:17Speaker 1: was this Afghanistan retrograde operation and extraordinary success. There's there's
- 11:22Speaker 1: two operations, Senator, just yes or no. I have a
- 11:25Speaker 1: lot of questions. Was this an extraordinary success? Senator? With
- 11:29Speaker 1: all due respect, there's two operations. There's the retrograde, which
- 11:31Speaker 1: Miller was in charge of, and there's the neo, which
- 11:34Speaker 1: Sentcom was in charge of. The retrograde was executed and
- 11:39Speaker 1: ended by mid July with a residual force to defend
- 11:43Speaker 1: the embassy the neo. You and I've discussed this. Do
- 11:46Speaker 1: you would you use the term extraordinary success for what
- 11:50Speaker 1: took place in August in Afghanistan? That's the non combatant evacuation.
- 11:55Speaker 1: And I think one of the other senators said it
- 11:56Speaker 1: very well. It was a logistical success, but a strategic
- 12:00Speaker 1: A logistical success for this strategic failure. How dumb do
- 12:05Speaker 1: they think we are joining me now to talk about
- 12:09Speaker 1: this is the US Center. Marsha Blackburn, Senor. I appreciate
- 12:12Speaker 1: you coming on. I have never seen somebody just so
- 12:16Speaker 1: willfully admit yeah, I leaked stuff all the time. I
- 12:20Speaker 1: was leaking stuff on Trump to anybody that called me,
- 12:23Speaker 1: anybody writing a book to take down Donald Trump or
- 12:25Speaker 1: attack Donald Trump, and he was talking to all of them.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Were you as shocked as I was when I heard
- 12:32Speaker 1: all these authors? I mean, it's everybody in town, you know. Ben.
- 12:36Speaker 1: We got into this because we knew he had talked
- 12:39Speaker 1: to Robert cost and Bob Woodward, so that Woodward had said, yeah,
- 12:46Speaker 1: he talked to us. But then we found out there
- 12:49Speaker 1: are these other two books that are also coming along,
- 12:54Speaker 1: that Millie had talked to those authors or their attributions
- 12:59Speaker 1: that were made. So I said, look on this Afghanistan hearing.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Let's use this as an opportunity to nail him down,
- 13:08Speaker 1: to see what he really did or did not do,
- 13:12Speaker 1: because he should not be talking about his commander in chief,
- 13:18Speaker 1: and Trump was the commander in chief when he gave
- 13:21Speaker 1: these interviews. So I have asked for transcripts and readouts.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I want to know if he made these interviews in
- 13:30Speaker 1: the presence of Pentacon staff, if he used federal resources
- 13:36Speaker 1: when he gave these interviews or with any information that
- 13:41Speaker 1: he distributed to these reporters. Now bear in mind, this
- 13:45Speaker 1: is a general Joint Chief of Staff chairman who sits
- 13:50Speaker 1: in front of us and says repeatedly, yesterday, oh, I
- 13:54Speaker 1: cannot give you a readout of my conversation or the
- 13:58Speaker 1: exact advice I gave the president, even though they say, yes,
- 14:02Speaker 1: we told him he needed to keep twenty five hundred troops.
- 14:07Speaker 1: But then he turns it round and he willfully talks
- 14:12Speaker 1: to reporters about President Donald Trump, who was at that
- 14:16Speaker 1: point in time his commander in chief. The guy cannot
- 14:22Speaker 1: do this, he cannot say, on the one hand, but
- 14:25Speaker 1: on the other hand, he cannot provide information about the
- 14:31Speaker 1: nation's security to somebody that is outside of his chain
- 14:36Speaker 1: of command. Let's talk about just the chain of command here.
- 14:41Speaker 1: It's obvious I think from these interviews with all of
- 14:44Speaker 1: these authors that he had apparently unlimited amount of time
- 14:49Speaker 1: to spend with them dogging the president knits it's America
- 14:52Speaker 1: Donald Trump, right, because these books are about Trump, They're
- 14:55Speaker 1: about attacking Trump. He clearly can't stand President at Trump
- 15:01Speaker 1: and was undermining him especially after he lost the election.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Aren't there rules about that, like, if you can't serve
- 15:08Speaker 1: the president, don't feel comfortable serving the president, isn't it
- 15:11Speaker 1: your duty to resign at that point, Yes, it is
- 15:15Speaker 1: your duty to resign. And we had a couple of
- 15:18Speaker 1: the members ask about the resignation because through this entire debacle,
- 15:24Speaker 1: yesterday was the first time that we have heard from
- 15:27Speaker 1: General McKenzie, the head of Sentcom, Secretary Austin, the Secretary
- 15:33Speaker 1: of Defense, and General Millie, the Chairman of the Joint
- 15:36Speaker 1: Chiefs of the Staff. And we have tried to get
- 15:40Speaker 1: with them because we've had two thousand cases that we're
- 15:44Speaker 1: trying to work on getting people out of Afghanistan and
- 15:49Speaker 1: they have been unavailable. They've been unavailable until yesterday to
- 15:54Speaker 1: come to us at send it Armed Services. And then
- 15:57Speaker 1: then they submitted their testimony at ten thirty at night
- 16:02Speaker 1: on Monday night, limiting the amount of time we had
- 16:06Speaker 1: to prepare. They said the testimony was late because get this,
- 16:12Speaker 1: the White House had to review the testimony. Well, the
- 16:18Speaker 1: White House needs to remember and these generals need to remember,
- 16:23Speaker 1: we do not have the military controlling the people in
- 16:28Speaker 1: the government in this country. It is the people that
- 16:32Speaker 1: are in charge the civilian sector that is in charge
- 16:37Speaker 1: of not only the government, but of the US military.
- 16:41Speaker 1: You know, you look at the questioning and I have
- 16:44Speaker 1: about four different aspects of this that I want to cover.
- 16:48Speaker 1: So I want to go back to just the credibility
- 16:50Speaker 1: issue right now. Yesterday one of your colleagues from Mississippi
- 16:56Speaker 1: was asking this exact question, Roger Wicker, saying, Hey, like,
- 16:59Speaker 1: how that is our credibility now with our allies? And
- 17:03Speaker 1: General Milly did say, he said, well, we're in a
- 17:06Speaker 1: kind of a time of like they're they're looking at
- 17:09Speaker 1: what happens next. But he did say he did agree
- 17:12Speaker 1: with the assessment that there has been damage done to
- 17:17Speaker 1: our credibility. It's more than just damage. I mean, we've
- 17:20Speaker 1: got the UK saying we won't count on America with
- 17:23Speaker 1: military exercises and doing things together right now, at least
- 17:27Speaker 1: not under the Biden administration because we just can't trust them.
- 17:29Speaker 1: This is more than damage. We have people now saying
- 17:32Speaker 1: we can't rely on America as an ally. Well, that
- 17:37Speaker 1: is very true. And think about our friends in Hong
- 17:40Speaker 1: Kong and in Taiwan, because China is all in the
- 17:45Speaker 1: middle of this, and you have a US military that
- 17:49Speaker 1: it has promised to be there to help you, and
- 17:52Speaker 1: you can't depend on them. Think about Cutter and the
- 17:57Speaker 1: Qataris who have really stepped up and have said, hey, Usa,
- 18:03Speaker 1: you're dropping the ball on this. We've got one of
- 18:06Speaker 1: your biggest bases here at Doha, and we're going to
- 18:11Speaker 1: step up and help you. But you got to get
- 18:13Speaker 1: your act together on this. How about Jordan, another of
- 18:18Speaker 1: our allies. How about Israel, My goodness, look at what
- 18:22Speaker 1: they're facing now, because you have the Chinese who are
- 18:27Speaker 1: backing the Taliban and had already signaled to us they
- 18:32Speaker 1: were going to be backing the Taliban. They never give
- 18:34Speaker 1: direct military support, they do political and economic support, and
- 18:40Speaker 1: they're backing the Taliban because they knew they were going
- 18:42Speaker 1: to end up being in charge of Afghanistan. And the
- 18:46Speaker 1: Chinese Communist Party wants a direct land route from Beijing
- 18:51Speaker 1: to Tehran. They want to manufacture affordable air quotes around
- 18:56Speaker 1: affordable military equipment and Iran. Tehran wants to supply that
- 19:06Speaker 1: to their terrorist proxy organizations like Hespilla and Hamas and
- 19:11Speaker 1: ISIS and Altada and the Taliban. And now you have
- 19:17Speaker 1: a safe haven for terrorists they're in Afghanistan so they
- 19:21Speaker 1: can go cook up their plots so they can attack us.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Because if Joe Biden, the world is a much less
- 19:29Speaker 1: safe place and his conduct has been disgusting. Well, let's
- 19:34Speaker 1: talk about the Americans that are left behind. There was
- 19:38Speaker 1: a very interesting back and forth at this committee hearing
- 19:43Speaker 1: yesterday on that exact question, and it was talking about
- 19:47Speaker 1: how many Americans have been left behind. You say you
- 19:50Speaker 1: know that you aren't going to leave people behind, but
- 19:52Speaker 1: even sender Tim Cotton made it clear you guys did
- 19:57Speaker 1: leave Americans behind. Act like you didn't. You did. In fact,
- 20:02Speaker 1: we're trying to get them out. I know you're involved
- 20:04Speaker 1: in that. How do we know even how many Americans
- 20:07Speaker 1: have been left behind? Right now? I'm talking about American citizens,
- 20:10Speaker 1: not counting any of the people that we promised we'd
- 20:13Speaker 1: get them out, the translators and others that helped us
- 20:17Speaker 1: and worked in our embassy and worked with their troops,
- 20:19Speaker 1: just American citizens. And that was the point Center Countenance
- 20:23Speaker 1: and you and others are making is you guys have
- 20:25Speaker 1: left people. Don't act like you didn't leave people behind.
- 20:27Speaker 1: You left Americans behind, Yes, and they did, and they
- 20:32Speaker 1: could not give us an answer. Senator Cotton asked, Senator
- 20:37Speaker 1: Sullivan asked. Senator Kane asked, so there was a bipartisan
- 20:45Speaker 1: frustration about not getting a number. Senator Kane, who's out
- 20:50Speaker 1: of Virginia, even told him he's during our first round
- 20:54Speaker 1: of questioning, he said, Okay, I'm going to ask you
- 20:57Speaker 1: this question again when we do the second round of questioning,
- 21:03Speaker 1: and you've got all of this support staff sitting back there,
- 21:07Speaker 1: give me a number. How many Americans are left, how
- 21:13Speaker 1: many of our allies are left, how many of our
- 21:18Speaker 1: Afghan partners are left, how many family members are left.
- 21:24Speaker 1: They don't know, State doesn't know, DoD doesn't know. And
- 21:29Speaker 1: we left that hearing yesterday still without a number of
- 21:34Speaker 1: American citizens that are in harm's way and are behind
- 21:39Speaker 1: enemy lines. And they even this far, forty five days
- 21:45Speaker 1: after it been they have not developed a list. So
- 21:51Speaker 1: you look at this debacle and you have to say
- 21:55Speaker 1: they intended it to be this way, and they don't
- 21:59Speaker 1: give a ripping flip about who is left in Afghanistan.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Joe Biden wanted to be out by September eleventh. He
- 22:09Speaker 1: wanted to say, hey, look at me, I'm the guy
- 22:13Speaker 1: I did this. I ended the war, but he missed
- 22:17Speaker 1: the whole point. It's not the war with Afghanistan, it
- 22:20Speaker 1: is the war on terror. And what he has done
- 22:23Speaker 1: is to embolden the terrorist because it's a group of
- 22:27Speaker 1: people that have been loyal to an ideology and now
- 22:32Speaker 1: and they've always rallied around the ideology the let's have
- 22:35Speaker 1: a global jihad. Now he has turned to a country
- 22:40Speaker 1: over to them, so they have a safe haven to
- 22:44Speaker 1: go in and plan. They're dirty Deans. Senator, I want
- 22:50Speaker 1: to get into another major point that came out when
- 22:55Speaker 1: you guys were questioning our military leaders. One of those
- 22:59Speaker 1: is is they seem to be honest about the fact
- 23:04Speaker 1: that they did, in fact advise Joe Biden to not
- 23:08Speaker 1: pull all troops out. They both claim basically when they
- 23:12Speaker 1: were testifying before you, that they wanted to leave a
- 23:15Speaker 1: force probably about twenty five hundred to maybe thirty five
- 23:17Speaker 1: hundred troops in Afghanistan. That's actually the Trump plan, the
- 23:21Speaker 1: Trump Doctor, And if you want to be honest about it,
- 23:23Speaker 1: So Joe Biden lied to George Stepanopolis, he lied to
- 23:27Speaker 1: the American people when he said no one told him
- 23:29Speaker 1: that we should leave troops there. Otherwise the whole country
- 23:32Speaker 1: would fall quickly. Were you shocked by the candor and
- 23:36Speaker 1: really in many ways telling the truth through the president
- 23:39Speaker 1: completely under the bus here that he lied to the
- 23:41Speaker 1: American people. Yeah, you know, I think what they did
- 23:44Speaker 1: do is throw the president under the bus. And I
- 23:47Speaker 1: thought that's kind of the hills that say all chose
- 23:50Speaker 1: to I guess die on if you will, because I
- 23:56Speaker 1: doubt they're going to be in their positions for very
- 24:00Speaker 1: much longer because they each set and you know what,
- 24:05Speaker 1: then this confirms what General Scottie Miller told us in
- 24:10Speaker 1: a classified setting that there had been the recommendation that
- 24:15Speaker 1: there'd be a minimum of twenty five hundred troops so
- 24:18Speaker 1: that they could hold the Bogram Airfield and the prison
- 24:22Speaker 1: that was there, they could hold the embassy and provide
- 24:26Speaker 1: support at h Kaya Airport. So twenty five hundred was
- 24:31Speaker 1: the minimum. As General McKenzie said yesterday, and he's the
- 24:36Speaker 1: commander of SITCOM, that they had recommended that they plus
- 24:41Speaker 1: up to four thousand so that they could appropriately conduct
- 24:46Speaker 1: an investigation. But of course what they said was General Miller.
- 24:53Speaker 1: General McKenzie's advice was communicated to the president. He re
- 25:00Speaker 1: seved that advice, but he decided to do something differently. Now,
- 25:06Speaker 1: what they've kind of nuanced and beat around the bush
- 25:09Speaker 1: about was whether or not they, as the Chairman of
- 25:16Speaker 1: the Joint Chiefs serves as the president's primary military advisor.
- 25:24Speaker 1: So what we don't know is if General Millie took
- 25:28Speaker 1: the time to say, mister President, we're going to lose
- 25:31Speaker 1: troops and we're going to lose people we cannot facilitate
- 25:37Speaker 1: at that tempo. We don't know if he challenged the
- 25:41Speaker 1: President in any way, shape or form. Now, the other
- 25:46Speaker 1: little tidbit on this is that yesterday in Jim Saki's briefing,
- 25:52Speaker 1: she kind of raised the curtain a little bit when
- 25:55Speaker 1: she said, well, in addition to the general's, we got
- 25:58Speaker 1: other advice. So we know that Susan Rice, Ron Klaine,
- 26:02Speaker 1: Jake Sullivan, Anthony Blincoln that they all had been advised
- 26:08Speaker 1: by the generals also on what should be the withdrawal
- 26:13Speaker 1: strategy and an Afghanistan strategy. And we are now left
- 26:21Speaker 1: to ask the question, well, did they advice the president
- 26:25Speaker 1: just to move forward and do what he wanted to
- 26:27Speaker 1: do and say, to hell with the advice of the
- 26:30Speaker 1: commanders on the ground, We're going to take that victory
- 26:33Speaker 1: Dance on September eleventh, come hell or high water, so
- 26:37Speaker 1: roll the dice. It's going to be messy regardless. Roll
- 26:40Speaker 1: the dice. Let's get out of there. So that creates
- 26:45Speaker 1: another set of questions, and I am sure that our
- 26:49Speaker 1: colleagues in the House are going to pick up on
- 26:52Speaker 1: some of these things as they have General Millie, Austin
- 26:57Speaker 1: and McKenzie in front of them today. Let's talk quickly
- 27:00Speaker 1: about your tweet you you have said, and there's been
- 27:04Speaker 1: so many I think it's actually sad what we have
- 27:07Speaker 1: seen now happen. And I'm talking about the politics of
- 27:10Speaker 1: every time someone doesn't like somebody, it's, you know what,
- 27:13Speaker 1: we got to impeach him, or they must resign or etc.
- 27:17Speaker 1: You're not one of those that's done that. You did
- 27:22Speaker 1: tweet out, and I want people to understand why you're
- 27:25Speaker 1: saying this. You believe that the President Joe Biden should
- 27:28Speaker 1: resign over the Afghan tobaccle. Give people the reason behind it,
- 27:33Speaker 1: because there's so many people now unfortunately you're like, oh,
- 27:34Speaker 1: I don't like him, resign, Oh we should impeach him, Impiezza,
- 27:37Speaker 1: that person, peach this person, peach Trump again. Let's impeach
- 27:40Speaker 1: this person. That's not what you're saying here. It's not
- 27:42Speaker 1: because you don't like Joe Biden. That's not why you're
- 27:46Speaker 1: saying you should resign. It's because of his actual handling
- 27:50Speaker 1: as the commander in chief over Afghanistan. All that is
- 27:55Speaker 1: correct when and as I said in my second round
- 28:00Speaker 1: of questioning to General Milly, his job is to make
- 28:06Speaker 1: certain that all of the commanders, all of our combatant
- 28:10Speaker 1: command like Sitcom Southcom, that they all understand what their
- 28:15Speaker 1: mission is, that everybody is ready to move forward to
- 28:19Speaker 1: fulfill their mission. And General Milly did not fulfill that obligation.
- 28:26Speaker 1: He is also there to advise the President of the
- 28:30Speaker 1: United States now President Biden, with how he made his
- 28:37Speaker 1: decision of coming out on a date certain and breaking
- 28:42Speaker 1: the agreement with our allies, with our NATO partners, with
- 28:47Speaker 1: the Afghan government, by putting our troops in peril, putting
- 28:53Speaker 1: them in an impossible situation, causing confusion with our ally.
- 29:01Speaker 1: They're not knowing if they can trust us. Indeed, General
- 29:05Speaker 1: Milly yesterday admitted that our credibility is damaged because of
- 29:12Speaker 1: that and his role as commander in chief. Joe Biden
- 29:17Speaker 1: should resign Kamala Harris, who says she was the last
- 29:21Speaker 1: person in the room and that she fully supported this decision.
- 29:25Speaker 1: She should resign General Milly, Secretary Austin, They should resign
- 29:32Speaker 1: Anthony B. Lincoln, Jake Sullivan, who's the head of National Security.
- 29:38Speaker 1: These are all people who should resign will cause of
- 29:43Speaker 1: the damage they have done to our men and women
- 29:46Speaker 1: in uniform to our commitment with our allies. This is
- 29:52Speaker 1: something that we're going to suffer the consequences of these
- 29:56Speaker 1: decisions for decades to come. Last question for you, sender,
- 30:01Speaker 1: and this is going to be a quick pivot, but
- 30:02Speaker 1: it's an important issue. We're hearing about a possible government
- 30:06Speaker 1: shut down. We've also been told that even Bernie Sanders
- 30:08Speaker 1: is now threatening to blow up the Biden spinning splurgs
- 30:11Speaker 1: if his certain conditions aren't met. We've been told that
- 30:15Speaker 1: the President's been whining and dining certain Democrats in the Senate,
- 30:20Speaker 1: your colleagues, begging them to get on board with the
- 30:23Speaker 1: biggest increase in spending in our like my lifetime. Certainly
- 30:27Speaker 1: where are we lifetime? This is bigger than what Roosevelt
- 30:33Speaker 1: and Lyndon Johnson did together. So the new deal in
- 30:38Speaker 1: the great society. This is more spending than those two combine.
- 30:43Speaker 1: But we are hearing that Pelosi and Shumer are going
- 30:48Speaker 1: to do a cr that will go through December third.
- 30:53Speaker 1: They're not going to get my vote for it, but
- 30:56Speaker 1: what they do not want is to have the government
- 31:00Speaker 1: shutdown on their watch. And then Biden is going to
- 31:05Speaker 1: continue to push to finish this reconciliation bill. But the
- 31:09Speaker 1: more he talks about it, the more people come out
- 31:12Speaker 1: and say, I'm not voting for that. So let him
- 31:15Speaker 1: keep talking. Senator. I really appreciate your time. Obviously, we're
- 31:19Speaker 1: going to have you back on very soon. Quickly reminded

- 31:37Speaker 1: us bad reviews on Apple, iTunes, Spreaker, Spotify, etc. So,
- 31:41Speaker 1: wherever you're listening to this right now, if you have
- 31:44Speaker 1: not written a review for a podcast, if you would
