- 2:02Speaker 1: A good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now what it only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show today. I wanted to give you something that
- 2:14Speaker 1: I've been learning more and more um lately. Um. You know,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a huge fan of the book The Secret.
- 2:23Speaker 1: But I did myself a favor because I know I
- 2:27Speaker 1: learned better this way. I learned better about hearing, and
- 2:31Speaker 1: so I downloaded The Secret onto my iPhone. So I
- 2:37Speaker 1: got the audio book and man on, man on man,
- 2:41Speaker 1: What a smart move that really was for me, because
- 2:43Speaker 1: I know how I learned. You know, I do very
- 2:46Speaker 1: well with visual when I can see what it is
- 2:51Speaker 1: that I'm after how to do something, I do it better,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and when I'm listening, I just I learned better like that.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I wish I had known that about myself in college
- 3:01Speaker 1: and stuff like that, where I didn't do so well.
- 3:04Speaker 1: If I could have learned that that's the way I learned,
- 3:06Speaker 1: I would have used more tools to help me. But um,
- 3:11Speaker 1: let's let's just say I figured it out, and so
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm grateful for that. And I was listening to the
- 3:18Speaker 1: audio portion of this book, and I've been learning so
- 3:20Speaker 1: much more. I've rephrased a lot of it to fit
- 3:22Speaker 1: how I think and more of how I talk. And
- 3:25Speaker 1: I just wanted to share that with you this morning. Man,
- 3:28Speaker 1: it might help you out a great deal. And one
- 3:30Speaker 1: of the things that my mother had always taught me,
- 3:33Speaker 1: and because it's a spiritual thing with my mother's it's
- 3:36Speaker 1: a biblical reference to my mother. And the book The
- 3:39Speaker 1: Secret grabbed that principle and uses it very well, and
- 3:44Speaker 1: it's gratitude. I want to run this by you every
- 3:47Speaker 1: every day, you know what I started doing. I started
- 3:51Speaker 1: spending my every waking moment being thankful, showing gratitude, and
- 3:59Speaker 1: the book it says to put that out there in
- 4:01Speaker 1: the universe. But if you're waking up and you're saying
- 4:04Speaker 1: thank you, I mean who you're saying thank you too?
- 4:07Speaker 1: I mean, let's let's let's be real here that that
- 4:10Speaker 1: universe was created by God. That is my belief. That's
- 4:13Speaker 1: the majority of people's belief that I know. I'm not
- 4:15Speaker 1: knocking you. If you don't believe that, do you let
- 4:17Speaker 1: me know how they work out for you, though. But so,
- 4:21Speaker 1: my thank you is to my heavenly Father, as is
- 4:25Speaker 1: a lot of yours. But here's the here's the here's
- 4:27Speaker 1: the thing. I started saying thank you from the time
- 4:31Speaker 1: I wake up, until I go in the bathroom, until
- 4:35Speaker 1: I shower, till I dress, until I get in my van,
- 4:43Speaker 1: until I get to work, while I'm on the elevator,
- 4:48Speaker 1: until I sit down and crack the mic. Now, somebody,
- 4:52Speaker 1: somebody might said, man, that's a lot of time. No,
- 4:54Speaker 1: not hold up, man, hold hold up, it's really not.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Because what it does for you, it does more for
- 5:01Speaker 1: you than for anyone else. This is about you showing
- 5:06Speaker 1: gratitude and being grateful. It's for you. And let me
- 5:09Speaker 1: tell you what it does. When I started doing this, man,
- 5:13Speaker 1: it started changing my day. It started changing my attitude
- 5:19Speaker 1: towards the day, so when the difficulties of the day began,
- 5:23Speaker 1: they were nothing to me because I was so filled
- 5:26Speaker 1: with gratitude. I'm talking about continuous thanks for all things.
- 5:31Speaker 1: You cannot run out of things to be grateful for,
- 5:35Speaker 1: not if you fine tune your gratitude, not if you
- 5:38Speaker 1: do it in a way where you're being very specific
- 5:42Speaker 1: about what you're grateful for. When you wake up and
- 5:45Speaker 1: you're grateful for waking up, when you're grateful for the
- 5:48Speaker 1: ability to move today, when you are grateful for the
- 5:52Speaker 1: fact that you have solid thoughts right now, that you
- 5:55Speaker 1: are in your right mind. When you start thanking him
- 5:59Speaker 1: for the acceability that you feel in the morning and
- 6:02Speaker 1: the stiffness and as it wears off as you start
- 6:05Speaker 1: moving around, that's another reason to be grateful that you
- 6:08Speaker 1: have a shower to take, that there are many people
- 6:12Speaker 1: who don't have a place to shower, the fact that
- 6:15Speaker 1: you're brushing your teeth, the fact that you have somewhere
- 6:18Speaker 1: to go, the fact that your job may not be
- 6:21Speaker 1: ideally the job you want, but you have a job
- 6:24Speaker 1: to go to, that you have a measure of health,
- 6:27Speaker 1: that you have a place to go, and get a
- 6:30Speaker 1: cool drink of water to start your day, or you
- 6:32Speaker 1: can make a cup of coffee, or the fact that
- 6:34Speaker 1: you can grab yourself a yogurt on the way out
- 6:36Speaker 1: the door. And the fact that you have a way
- 6:38Speaker 1: to get to work, whether it's on the subway, the bus,
- 6:41Speaker 1: the cab, or you have the wherewithal to walk to
- 6:44Speaker 1: work or you driving to work, and whatever kind of
- 6:47Speaker 1: card is that you have a place to be to
- 6:50Speaker 1: provide when you start really fine tuning your gratitude, it
- 6:57Speaker 1: is amazing, man. And what it does is it puts
- 7:01Speaker 1: you in a state of mind that is so uplifting
- 7:05Speaker 1: to you that it is the perfect way to start
- 7:08Speaker 1: your day. I'll think, I'm clowning what you here. I
- 7:10Speaker 1: am not. Try it. Try it. You are what you think.
- 7:16Speaker 1: So you start the day off as this grateful creature,
- 7:19Speaker 1: this grateful person, this grateful soul. You start your day
- 7:25Speaker 1: off as grateful man on man on man. How good
- 7:29Speaker 1: is that? And it just spirals throughout your day and
- 7:32Speaker 1: it puts you in a great mood. My mood has
- 7:35Speaker 1: totally changed. I'm not a bad mood person anyway, but
- 7:40Speaker 1: you know, when my day started getting heavy, man, sometimes
- 7:43Speaker 1: it gets on me, man, because I mean, I'm from
- 7:46Speaker 1: the time I wake up till I go home at night.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Can you imagine having somebody move you around all day?
- 7:55Speaker 1: What it would feel like to have somebody making you
- 7:59Speaker 1: accountable for every single moment of your day. The moment
- 8:02Speaker 1: you stop to take a breath, somebody finds that as
- 8:05Speaker 1: an opportunity to spend a moment with you because to them,
- 8:09Speaker 1: it's just a minute, But they don't know all the
- 8:12Speaker 1: minutes that's occupied in your day. Imagine that. So I
- 8:16Speaker 1: try to steal some minutes here, steal some minutes there.
- 8:19Speaker 1: But now, man, it don't jump on me that way.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I look, I gotta take
- 8:24Speaker 1: some time to myself throughout the day. So as soon
- 8:26Speaker 1: as I get off the air, I take a twenty
- 8:28Speaker 1: minute break before I go to my brief and to
- 8:30Speaker 1: start my talk show. Uh you say, twenty minutes ain't nothing.
- 8:34Speaker 1: It ain't. But it's all I got and I use
- 8:37Speaker 1: it to shut myself down, meditate, have a quiet moment,
- 8:41Speaker 1: become even more thankful. But I'm grateful for that. I'm
- 8:44Speaker 1: grateful for everything, because man, I have a show too
- 8:49Speaker 1: that keeps me busy. I have a radio show that
- 8:51Speaker 1: keeps me busy. I got another TV. I'm just grateful
- 8:54Speaker 1: for all of it. Man. And what happens is, let
- 8:56Speaker 1: me let me share this with you. It changes your
- 8:59Speaker 1: focus because now your focus is not on what you
- 9:03Speaker 1: don't have. Your focus is on what you do have.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Do you understand that amazing turnaround in your life? If
- 9:10Speaker 1: you can make that when folks, when you change that
- 9:13Speaker 1: focus through gratitude, you then open up the pathways for
- 9:18Speaker 1: more stuff to come to you. A lot of us
- 9:20Speaker 1: are blocking our blessings today because we ain't grateful for
- 9:23Speaker 1: the ones we have. See, we're so busy, we're so
- 9:27Speaker 1: busy telling God and putting out in the universe what
- 9:30Speaker 1: we don't have, what we ain't got, that we no
- 9:34Speaker 1: longer are receptive to things that we could have. You
- 9:38Speaker 1: have now blocked all your blessings from coming because your
- 9:42Speaker 1: focus is not on the come, it's to what you
- 9:44Speaker 1: ain't got. So how can more blessings come your way?
- 9:47Speaker 1: How can more good things come your way? How can
- 9:50Speaker 1: positive things start happening to you? If your focus is
- 9:53Speaker 1: on the negative things, if your focus is on the
- 9:56Speaker 1: things that you don't have, if your focus is on
- 9:59Speaker 1: what you're acting instead of what the abundance that you
- 10:04Speaker 1: have and what you expect more of. If you change
- 10:08Speaker 1: your gratitude, you change your attitude and it changes your altitude. Man,
- 10:19Speaker 1: use your gratitude to change your attitude, which then affects
- 10:26Speaker 1: your altitude. Do you feel me now? Come on, man,
- 10:32Speaker 1: ain't that a good thing? I've had to rework it
- 10:35Speaker 1: through the way I say it, But man, that's been
- 10:37Speaker 1: so helpful for me every day. Start your data way.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Just try try it starting now, or you want to
- 10:44Speaker 1: get a fresh start during tomorrow morning. But watch what
- 10:46Speaker 1: happens to you. Okay, it's going to amazingly revolutionize the
- 10:50Speaker 1: way you face your day. Hey, thanks for spending your
- 10:53Speaker 1: Thanksgiving with the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 10:58Speaker 1: show Ladies, boys and girls. You're listening to the Steve
- 11:05Speaker 1: Harday Morning Show. If it sounds weird, it's because it's
- 11:09Speaker 1: about to get weirder. We are here today to entertain,
- 11:14Speaker 1: but mostly trip you out, ladies and gentlemen. In the
- 11:20Speaker 1: words of a celestial being from the hood, this is
- 11:25Speaker 1: Dell moan and show fistic shar. You got them. You
- 11:35Speaker 1: got the relatives that's old but still used to. You know,
- 11:39Speaker 1: these women's just be walking around here. There is no
- 11:43Speaker 1: z or women. These women's children's yes, these children's people.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I have aunt New Orleans today, everything everything, she says, Collins,
- 12:02Speaker 1: what is it? Hey? Back? Hey did detoxes? Old? I'm
- 12:12Speaker 1: having call. We're to slice up pound katy. Hey, I'm
- 12:21Speaker 1: looking at some grapes in a bowl. I'm looking at
- 12:27Speaker 1: coffee Wickrey I wanted, Yeah, I want it all back
- 12:35Speaker 1: in the moment, gradual Now, man, my doctor is still
- 12:41Speaker 1: hire dog. I'm really I'm really focusing on my health
- 12:45Speaker 1: because I've made a conscious decision that God gives us
- 12:50Speaker 1: two incredibly valuable commodities, time and health. They're the two
- 12:55Speaker 1: most important things in your life. If you're out of
- 12:57Speaker 1: either one of those, you are in a world of trouble.
- 13:01Speaker 1: You know. On one of my posts the other day,
- 13:02Speaker 1: first of all, good morning, y'all. Just guys, let me
- 13:06Speaker 1: tell you something. I did a post exercise at one
- 13:09Speaker 1: time a woman said, you could, why are you exercising
- 13:13Speaker 1: so much? What you're trying to tell us? When God
- 13:15Speaker 1: called you home? It's your time. I don't care how
- 13:18Speaker 1: much you exercise. And sixty is not the new forty
- 13:22Speaker 1: sixty is sixty. I went you ain't got to get
- 13:26Speaker 1: to get to God fat. Somebody already owned six sixty.
- 13:37Speaker 1: And when God called you home, don't care about you
- 13:39Speaker 1: working out. I went wild. So your quality of time
- 13:45Speaker 1: here can be better if you're in shape. Now when
- 13:49Speaker 1: you're gone, you're gone. But wouldn't you like for the
- 13:52Speaker 1: time spent here to be will spent y'all haven't told
- 13:58Speaker 1: my family if I ever need require why wiping? Just
- 14:01Speaker 1: gonna put that plub because nobody watching that that I
- 14:05Speaker 1: don't want. I'm not gonna wipe. Madre asked me one time,
- 14:09Speaker 1: she said, baby, we got old, would you wash me? Now?
- 14:12Speaker 1: I wash you? But now wiping, we're gonnead high. Yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I babe you now I ain't got a problem. Yeah yeah,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and wiping. Bring somebody, Yeah, we got to bring somebody
- 14:33Speaker 1: coming up. It's Junior's turn with truth be told. We'll
- 14:36Speaker 1: be back at thirty two after you're listening to Steve
- 14:41Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, it is time for Junior's truth
- 14:44Speaker 1: be told. Yeah, yeah, all right, Shirley, thanksgivings that we
- 14:51Speaker 1: have discussed all the things we discussed. When people need
- 14:54Speaker 1: to brain food, Yeah, what time dinner start coming. We've
- 15:00Speaker 1: discussed all that. One thing we have not discussed the
- 15:04Speaker 1: one thing when your ass need to leave again. We
- 15:08Speaker 1: have that now people people don't know when to leave.
- 15:12Speaker 1: This time you need to leave. There are statements that
- 15:15Speaker 1: will be made you need to adhere to and understand, like,
- 15:21Speaker 1: well that's it. So when you hear that, start getting
- 15:25Speaker 1: your keys in your hand. You hear some Jane something,
- 15:28Speaker 1: it's time to go. You can't spend all the head.
- 15:30Speaker 1: They have started to treat it like a restaurant. How
- 15:32Speaker 1: long you staying there? You sit down to two by
- 15:35Speaker 1: three thirty, same way about I would already have because
- 15:42Speaker 1: I don't hear about the game. You ain't come up
- 15:45Speaker 1: here for the game. You came to eat. If you full,
- 15:48Speaker 1: if I see you kick off of shot, your ass
- 15:50Speaker 1: got to go. Let me. Yeah, don't. You ain't staying
- 15:56Speaker 1: here all day? Now. My mama tied, she didn't cook
- 15:58Speaker 1: that thing and she fit that by what else can
- 16:01Speaker 1: we talk about? We discussed everything. We know Walter got
- 16:05Speaker 1: out of jail. We know had it, had a hard transplant,
- 16:08Speaker 1: we know yeah, we know, we know Mail had another baby.

- 16:36Speaker 1: to do with your age. Your name is Agnes, you
- 16:38Speaker 1: probably didn't hand you. You probably got your grave. But
- 16:45Speaker 1: we had covered everything we can talk about. We know,
- 16:48Speaker 1: we know Junior went back into rehab. We got that.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Everything is covered. Let's just go ahead and go home.
- 16:55Speaker 1: We just need you to go home. She's through heaven.
- 17:01Speaker 1: It's fatris, said Beatrice. Beatrice beat O data, it's not
- 17:09Speaker 1: having it. That's when he got out of that. I'm
- 17:14Speaker 1: giving you the names where I can assure you if

- 40:28Speaker 1: That's how good we are. All right, you're ready with
- 40:30Speaker 1: the wheel. Let's go. These are the subjects. Number one
- 40:33Speaker 1: ice cream. Number two, old music, come on, come on,
- 40:41Speaker 1: I know alright. Number three, how to protect the food
- 40:45Speaker 1: in the fridge. That's a pretty good one. Number four,
- 40:49Speaker 1: I'm not the bank, Yeah, okay. Number five sometimes I
- 40:56Speaker 1: feel like slapping the mess too. Yeah, come on, that's
- 41:03Speaker 1: the come on, slopping slop and slipping, slopping a mess
- 41:12Speaker 1: out of you. Okay. How to protect the food in
- 41:16Speaker 1: the fridge so people don't steal it? Easy? What's the
- 41:22Speaker 1: one is you pick your teeth till they start bleeding? Right?
- 41:25Speaker 1: And then you bite your sandwich and wrap that in,
- 41:28Speaker 1: sell a thing and shove that back in there. I'll
- 41:31Speaker 1: be damn anybody take your teeth real good? Did they'll not?
- 41:39Speaker 1: Did they believe in right and didn't bite your sandwich?
- 41:44Speaker 1: Wrap that sell thing? But don't be there when you
- 41:47Speaker 1: get okay, go ahead, come on, junior, what's your gout her?
- 41:52Speaker 1: First of all, who fridge were talking about? Nothing? Mad?
- 41:59Speaker 1: Very eat to take my friend? I ain't got that
- 42:02Speaker 1: in there. Better subject would have been how to put
- 42:04Speaker 1: food into friend when you really want to protect something? Uh?
- 42:13Speaker 1: What I would do? Get a zip lock, babe, and right,
- 42:17Speaker 1: let's see what were at ween we in seventeen? Put
- 42:20Speaker 1: one one seventeen on that January seventeen. Get one and
- 42:28Speaker 1: then right chitlings on the zip lock. Don't throw away
- 42:34Speaker 1: put that. I promise you ain't nobody bother that's the keeper. Yeah.
- 42:42Speaker 1: The best way to protect sandwich work is to put
- 42:45Speaker 1: it in and sell a frame and then duct taping
- 42:51Speaker 1: so they don't even know what it is. Take the
- 42:53Speaker 1: whole sand come back in there. Sell you just just
- 43:03Speaker 1: a brick or duct tap and there ain't nobody gonna
- 43:07Speaker 1: open up that damn du tock tape cross with everything
- 43:09Speaker 1: but not food. Yeah. Protective, Yeah, put it in. Let's
- 43:16Speaker 1: spend how to protect the food in the fridge chain.
- 43:19Speaker 1: So the best way to do it is to put
- 43:21Speaker 1: it way inside. You put it inside, put sure, you
- 43:25Speaker 1: smash it up. You take your sandwich and you bawl
- 43:27Speaker 1: it up real tight, just as small as you can
- 43:30Speaker 1: make it, and put it and wrap it in sell
- 43:32Speaker 1: a thing and then stick that inside the bacon, sold
- 43:35Speaker 1: the box. Put it inside, bacon, up the sandwich. That's
- 43:43Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. But it will be that when
- 43:45Speaker 1: you get if people tein, I tell you what way
- 43:52Speaker 1: really do it? Go by the dog shelter. Get an
- 43:56Speaker 1: unhappy pit bull in the breakroom when they open that
- 44:01Speaker 1: door on the inside. Just turn the temperate down just
- 44:13Speaker 1: a little bit so he can survive. He's in the fridge.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Put it right in the brakes. They've been walking in there, grace,
- 44:23Speaker 1: cause they've been eating your stuff every day. This don't
- 44:25Speaker 1: halt that walkt okay, June, I got to put your
- 44:30Speaker 1: back this because I've done this. Dog name is Chopper.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I put it in a zip lock bag and put
- 44:37Speaker 1: Chopper sweet treats on there. But it's backfired on me
- 44:41Speaker 1: because my son Jordan and put some up chopper sweet
- 44:45Speaker 1: treats in there and got out all confusing. I got
- 44:50Speaker 1: one right a second, put your whole lunch in a pample.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Well be back. You're listening to the morning show Forday.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Minutes after that, I get ready coming up at the
- 45:10Speaker 1: top of the hour the strawberry. Uh m hm, till me.

- 45:20Speaker 1: the defiance in your word? We've been called to day,
- 45:23Speaker 1: I'm plumber, the plumber. Nah. Hello, yeah, I'm trying to
- 45:30Speaker 1: reach it, y'all. Mr mrs how you're doing you you're
- 45:35Speaker 1: the person that does the plumbing work, am I right? Yeah? Nah?
- 45:39Speaker 1: My wife got some work done for you. You come
- 45:41Speaker 1: by the house now, do you know? I know you
- 45:44Speaker 1: probably got quite a bit of work. I do so
- 45:48Speaker 1: many throughout the day, So I have it on my receiver.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I can look at about three days ago. Yeah, yeah,
- 46:00Speaker 1: it was a lady there. Yeah, it was tarlet was
- 46:04Speaker 1: backed up and was overflowing and yeah yeah, yeah, I
- 46:08Speaker 1: can recall that something's wrong with the sinking there too,
- 46:11Speaker 1: and that that had a leak in the back of it. Yeah,
- 46:14Speaker 1: I had a leak in the back, and uh, and
- 46:15Speaker 1: I've done that. I fixed that there for you. And uh.
- 46:18Speaker 1: I took that toilet that I had around the bottom
- 46:21Speaker 1: of your basic the toilet base there. I had to
- 46:23Speaker 1: take that up and and retape it to that tape
- 46:26Speaker 1: head came came loose. It was kind of older, and
- 46:29Speaker 1: you know, I went through that and not all that
- 46:31Speaker 1: and and saved it up and sealed it up, and
- 46:33Speaker 1: I re based at seal back there on your the
- 46:36Speaker 1: tilet and and your sink had a little leak back
- 46:38Speaker 1: there in the back. I fixed that because you know,
- 46:41Speaker 1: that was really easy. Now, so well, now I see
- 46:44Speaker 1: that it's something that went wrong with the tilet. Not
- 46:47Speaker 1: did you did you put another pipe or something that
- 46:51Speaker 1: you rewrote a pipe or anything? No, No, like I said,
- 46:55Speaker 1: all I did. I took the base of it off
- 46:56Speaker 1: there and I taped it up where that in that
- 46:59Speaker 1: old tap there, and then I'll put me some seamen
- 47:02Speaker 1: which was was with with my pipe there, and and
- 47:06Speaker 1: I sealed it all up, and I checked it out
- 47:08Speaker 1: and let it drive and see if it leaked, and
- 47:10Speaker 1: it didn't leak, and I put your base back on
- 47:13Speaker 1: and you know, and then then then you had a
- 47:15Speaker 1: little leak there in your seat, and that was on
- 47:18Speaker 1: the top of the your nozzle there, and I fixed that.
- 47:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you because I'm gonna be honest with
- 47:25Speaker 1: you and tell you I'm not happy with what I got.
- 47:28Speaker 1: You're happy with it. No, Now, let me tell you
- 47:31Speaker 1: what's happening now. Say somebody in the bathroom and they
- 47:35Speaker 1: flushed that tarlet right right when they flushed that tilet,
- 47:39Speaker 1: come out the sink in the kitchen. Oh tell me
- 47:45Speaker 1: that that what you did again, I said, when they
- 47:48Speaker 1: flushed the tilet in the bathroom, right, come out to
- 47:52Speaker 1: shank in the kitchen. They come out in the kitchen
- 47:55Speaker 1: like that. I don't know what how you ropped something
- 47:57Speaker 1: like you didn't you didn't miss rout it or something. No,
- 47:59Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't route anything. All I did was
- 48:02Speaker 1: fixed up and put the tape on there, so I
- 48:04Speaker 1: fixed the leak that was. You know, it's a base
- 48:08Speaker 1: of your toilet. I didn't rewrote anything. I don't. I don't.
- 48:11Speaker 1: I don't understand. How can you you rewrote a pipe?
- 48:15Speaker 1: I don't. That's not to go into your kitchen and shoot.
- 48:20Speaker 1: We'll shoot crap out of your kitchen like that. I
- 48:22Speaker 1: don't know what what what you did when you was
- 48:25Speaker 1: up onunderd and how you rerouted something, but that's what happened,
- 48:28Speaker 1: and it's got, it's got. It's going from the from
- 48:30Speaker 1: that bathroom. When you flush that toilet, it come out
- 48:34Speaker 1: in my sink in my kitchen. Now, what's bad about
- 48:36Speaker 1: it is this morning I'm in there cooking and what again?
- 48:41Speaker 1: My name is? They called me okay? And is coming
- 48:46Speaker 1: out of your in my in my kitchen. Now, this
- 48:50Speaker 1: morning I set out some red beans and rice to cook,
- 48:52Speaker 1: and I put my beans on not not I've been cooking.
- 48:55Speaker 1: I've been cooking. Listen to me. I've been cooking all.
- 48:59Speaker 1: I'm trying to be about this because you know I
- 49:01Speaker 1: guaranteem of work. I've been doing this over twenty years.
- 49:03Speaker 1: And then one thing I do, I guarantee of work.
- 49:06Speaker 1: And I'm really proud about the things that you know
- 49:08Speaker 1: I do. But what what did you have anybody else
- 49:12Speaker 1: over there working on your pipes? Ain't nobody in your kitchen?
- 49:15Speaker 1: You know what I did with your bathroom? You is
- 49:17Speaker 1: the bathroom. Don't have anything to do with your kitchen
- 49:22Speaker 1: that's through a pipe. Have anything to do with one
- 49:24Speaker 1: of the other. Then explain that coming through my sink
- 49:28Speaker 1: and my kitchen. I can't explain it coming from your
- 49:31Speaker 1: your seek. I can only explain that's getting the toilet
- 49:35Speaker 1: in your set. I have no idea. I'm gonna listen
- 49:38Speaker 1: because that thing got me wrapped up. Listen to now
- 49:40Speaker 1: what it is? It? Well, you got me kind of
- 49:42Speaker 1: wrapped up here because you know, like I said, I
- 49:44Speaker 1: do this here and I've been notable for twenty years,
- 49:46Speaker 1: and that's the first time I ever heard if anything
- 49:49Speaker 1: like that being't happening, I ain't never seen it. Well,
- 49:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you it's just disgusting. The big cook
- 49:54Speaker 1: cook red beans all day and not now I find
- 49:56Speaker 1: out that it's sitting in some dirty water like that.
- 49:59Speaker 1: You smell the world when you was in the in
- 50:01Speaker 1: your seat because you didn't had a lout uh s,
- 50:06Speaker 1: I didn't spell nothing that it's more earlier this morning.
- 50:08Speaker 1: I washed my hand now and I didn't I washed
- 50:12Speaker 1: my hair in there. That's your what it smell like
- 50:16Speaker 1: a baggage. I'm just, I just I just refused to
- 50:19Speaker 1: believe the work I did on your toilet and there
- 50:22Speaker 1: taking some stuff up and seeming some stuff up and
- 50:24Speaker 1: on your seat and anything to do with scrap me
- 50:28Speaker 1: and shout out to damn kitchen scene. Well, I tell
- 50:31Speaker 1: you what what I need to do is for you
- 50:33Speaker 1: to get your back over here and fix it, because
- 50:35Speaker 1: this here ain't a good job and I don't recommend
- 50:38Speaker 1: nobody using you. Well, first of all, why I'm trying
- 50:41Speaker 1: to be professional about it and you cussing me, and
- 50:45Speaker 1: that ain't gonna getting nothing done. Once come out my pike,
- 50:48Speaker 1: it was no longer professional. That was you had somebody
- 50:52Speaker 1: else over there doing something in your scene. I ain't
- 50:54Speaker 1: had nobody. Do you have a girl just on the
- 51:00Speaker 1: whales and crowd coming out of my God, you get
- 51:03Speaker 1: your back over and you fix what you're bold to fix,
- 51:06Speaker 1: and fix it right then. I'm not paying another damn
- 51:09Speaker 1: dying for it. PERI. Hey, I tryed me professional about it.
- 51:14Speaker 1: I'm listening to what you gotta say. I shout hunt
- 51:16Speaker 1: up a long time ago, but I get your team
- 51:19Speaker 1: of work and I'm trying to, you know, deal with
- 51:22Speaker 1: the customers. When I left, I told that pression to it.
- 51:25Speaker 1: She flushed to it. She ran the faster in the
- 51:27Speaker 1: path room. We ain't no problems like you don't have
- 51:30Speaker 1: somebody else old now they're doing whatever lot nor what.
- 51:33Speaker 1: I don't damn sure, I don't know. Do you know?
- 51:36Speaker 1: I ain't none of my I ate some of them
- 51:38Speaker 1: red beans and not what bothered me? Now I feel
- 51:40Speaker 1: sick to my stomach. I'm feeling like read meaning what
- 51:45Speaker 1: you know? It's you, you, you crazy ill. I'm gonna
- 51:50Speaker 1: make your diet something me red beans. If you don't
- 51:53Speaker 1: come fix meet pipe, you can go out ahead. I'm
- 51:56Speaker 1: trying to be professional. I told you I'm doing my job.
- 51:59Speaker 1: I did it the best I know I could. And
- 52:01Speaker 1: when I got when I left there, one nothing leaking one.
- 52:05Speaker 1: Don't you'll get over sixty pike. That was you. You
- 52:10Speaker 1: you kiss because I know well I did. I'll stand
- 52:15Speaker 1: the job over there. You ain't done nothing. If I
- 52:17Speaker 1: got them, pay me in the right, stick them up,
- 52:20Speaker 1: you you and your pipes. And I don't give a
- 52:23Speaker 1: damn I know what's coming up, right, I ain't done
- 52:28Speaker 1: nothing over there in your damn kitchen to have you
- 52:30Speaker 1: that I'm sit with me. I got one more thing
- 52:33Speaker 1: I want to say to you, and you're listening. I'm
- 52:35Speaker 1: listening to you. This is nephew timing from the Steve
- 52:39Speaker 1: Harvey Martin Show. You just got played by your boy.
- 52:49Speaker 1: You're kidding me, y'all? Y'all crazy? Man? Hey, man, I
- 52:54Speaker 1: gotta ask you big time. What is the baddest I'm
- 52:57Speaker 1: talking about the baddest radio show in the like it?
- 53:00Speaker 1: You got to show? Y'll got me this more? Man?
- 53:06Speaker 1: What are you saying? I'm a woman. I'll tell you
- 53:09Speaker 1: what what we're gonna do with you? Here me and
- 53:11Speaker 1: You're gonna get together and we're gonna prank. How about that?
- 53:19Speaker 1: Y'all cool with that? Yes, I'm just asking y'all cool
- 53:24Speaker 1: with it? Alright? Diploma? Yeah, I mean, I catch myself,
- 53:29Speaker 1: but I might have went a bit far on that.
- 53:32Speaker 1: But you know, I want know who said what Junior
- 53:40Speaker 1: didn't got between the breast? All right, go ahead, find yourself,
- 53:45Speaker 1: talk to explain yourself. All right, I'm sorry about the breast.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Coming Jesus when you apologize to need to mean it.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Y'all get some briston don't know how to act? Okay? Fine?
- 53:59Speaker 1: Sorry Brestwood attitude going up at the top of the
- 54:08Speaker 1: hour right about four minutes after he is really crazy today,
- 54:13Speaker 1: Strawberry letter, You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright,
- 54:19Speaker 1: let's buckle up, let's hold on tight. We gotta bull
- 54:21Speaker 1: you Strawberry letter, thank you Tommy subject childless, manless, clueless
- 54:26Speaker 1: and hungover at forty, Dear Steve Harvey and Shirley. Currently,
- 54:31Speaker 1: I am separated and over forty. Can't have any children
- 54:35Speaker 1: main reason for my divorce. Anyway, I met a man, Mr. Man,
- 54:40Speaker 1: who was also separated, and we became very close. It
- 54:44Speaker 1: was great. After a year, Mr Man has his divorce.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Once my divorce was final, this summer, I thought Mr
- 54:51Speaker 1: Man and I would be together. Well. Mr Man told
- 54:54Speaker 1: me that he was going to New Jersey to get
- 54:56Speaker 1: his ex girlfriend, the woman he should have married instead
- 54:59Speaker 1: of his wife. I had to ask, what about me?
- 55:02Speaker 1: He said? I am a beautiful woman, but I had
- 55:04Speaker 1: three problems. Number One, I am too emotional. I cry
- 55:08Speaker 1: at the drop of a dime. Number two, real women
- 55:11Speaker 1: are a mystery. Once that's gone, nothing is left. I'm
- 55:14Speaker 1: an open book. Number three, the big one I should
- 55:17Speaker 1: not have I should not have fallen in love with
- 55:19Speaker 1: a married man him. I missed all the signs of
- 55:24Speaker 1: this rejection. I tried to be open and honest. With
- 55:27Speaker 1: this man. Of course, the sex was good, but I
- 55:29Speaker 1: am truly hurt so as I watch him take his
- 55:33Speaker 1: ex girlfriend on a romantic weekend to the Poconos Mountains
- 55:36Speaker 1: this weekend. Last night, I had my brown liquor, my
- 55:40Speaker 1: brown Liquor song Anita Baker no more tears, and cried
- 55:44Speaker 1: myself to sleep. I should have known better and controlled
- 55:47Speaker 1: my feelings at forty. So I'll say it's my fault.
- 55:51Speaker 1: I am not perfect now. I am out of two
- 55:53Speaker 1: men in one year at forty. I pray that God
- 55:57Speaker 1: heals my heart and my mind. Child is manless, clueless
- 56:01Speaker 1: and hungover at forty. Wow, dear dear childless, manless, clueless
- 56:08Speaker 1: and hungover at forty. I mean, yeah, you know, Uh, God,
- 56:12Speaker 1: will you know, protect you and heal you and all that.
- 56:16Speaker 1: But you have to do your part, you know, you
- 56:18Speaker 1: gotta do your part um and that is not jumping
- 56:23Speaker 1: into something when number one you're still married to this
- 56:27Speaker 1: uh to your husband uh and uh number two, you know,
- 56:31Speaker 1: just jumping in, not getting to know this man, you know,
- 56:34Speaker 1: sleeping with him right away. That's exactly what happened. That's
- 56:37Speaker 1: what he means by the mystery. You know, once the
- 56:40Speaker 1: mystery is gone, then it's over. I mean telling him
- 56:43Speaker 1: everything you said. You're an open book. You don't have
- 56:45Speaker 1: to tell this man everything. He's not even your husband, um,
- 56:49Speaker 1: you know, and then being so emotional and needy. You know,
- 56:53Speaker 1: you gotta learn from um, from your relationships so this
- 56:57Speaker 1: won't happen again. And as far as not being able
- 56:59Speaker 1: to have children, um, you know, if you want to
- 57:02Speaker 1: go this route, adoption is always an option. It definitely
- 57:05Speaker 1: is always an option. You know, think about that in
- 57:08Speaker 1: your next relationship. But I don't advise you to even
- 57:10Speaker 1: get in a next relationship, a new relationship, until you
- 57:14Speaker 1: know you learn from this particular one so you won't
- 57:17Speaker 1: keep making these same mistakes over and over and over again.
- 57:21Speaker 1: So take your time, know what you want, and don't
- 57:24Speaker 1: settle uh anymore? Okay, and make these men accountable, you know,
- 57:28Speaker 1: talk about their plans, find out what he wants to do.
- 57:31Speaker 1: You know, why should that have even been a surprise
- 57:33Speaker 1: to you that he wanted to go back and marry
- 57:35Speaker 1: someone else? Steve, This letter is classics, classic, classic example
- 57:48Speaker 1: of how women get involved and not know upfront her
- 57:53Speaker 1: whole life is that way. First of all, she's separated, right,
- 57:58Speaker 1: now can't have any children, main reason for my divorce.
- 58:04Speaker 1: You're getting a divorce because you can't have children. Who
- 58:08Speaker 1: didn't know this in the beginning? How was this not
- 58:12Speaker 1: talked out thoroughly in the beginning. So you get to
- 58:17Speaker 1: this point with your husband and he finds out you
- 58:20Speaker 1: can't have children, or he just his size he won't children,
- 58:24Speaker 1: or this is the reason he's telling you that he
- 58:27Speaker 1: got to leave. All it is, all it is. All
- 58:31Speaker 1: of this could have been handled up front. You were
- 58:35Speaker 1: surprised that your marriage is over because of the fact
- 58:39Speaker 1: that you can't have children. You've been knowing this a
- 58:43Speaker 1: greater part of your forty years, especially in your adult
- 58:47Speaker 1: life where it really counts. Okay. Secondly, um, you met
- 58:53Speaker 1: a man, Mr. Man who was separated, which means he
- 58:58Speaker 1: was still married to Mr Man gets his divorce and
- 59:03Speaker 1: once your divorce was final this summer, I thought Mr
- 59:08Speaker 1: Man and I would be together keyword, I thought you
- 59:12Speaker 1: once again, ma'am. And I'm just not trying not to
- 59:15Speaker 1: be too hard on you, because you know you made
- 59:17Speaker 1: a mistake. But you said I thought Mr Man and
- 59:20Speaker 1: I would be together once again? Classic classic not knowing upfront.
- 59:27Speaker 1: You could have found out if you and Mr Man
- 59:29Speaker 1: was gonna be together before you broke off the cookie
- 59:33Speaker 1: with this man. But now you're passing now cookie like
- 59:36Speaker 1: it's like like it's a business card. Now you're sitting
- 59:40Speaker 1: up in here and found out that Mr Man after
- 59:42Speaker 1: his divorce, is gonna go back to Jersey and get
- 59:44Speaker 1: his ex girlfriend. He could have told you that in
- 59:47Speaker 1: the begin it had you inquired. Ladies, you have the
- 59:52Speaker 1: right to inquire. It's not being nos it ain't being pushy.
- 59:56Speaker 1: You ain't gonna run no man off. If a man
- 59:59Speaker 1: really want you, you can't run him off. You can't
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: run us off. Were scary, We won't you, we want you.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: We are not scary. People me and are not scary.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: You don't run us off, and we won't you. Come on,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: come on, pimps and players. Didn't put it in your
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: head that you will run us All men can't be
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: run off. So here you go. He goes to the
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: ex girlfriend, the woman that he should have married instead
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: of his wife. Oh, this is conversation you could have
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: add why are you getting to matter? Who would you
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: have married if you didn't marry your wife? I would
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: have married this girl in New Jersey. A matter of fact,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: if I ever get out of this, I'm going back
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: and get hard. You could have found this out and
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: saved yourself to that, so you had what about me?
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: What about you? It is too late. He going to
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: get the girl in Jersey, Ladies, you have every right
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: to ask up front, see what about you is first?
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: You gotta get to what about you out first, or
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: when you get to the point, you gotta ask what
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: about you? This ain't about you no more. This about
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: him and the woman in New Jersey. Now he got
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: his divorce, he gone, He going back to who we
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: should have married in the first place. You ain't asked
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: none of these questions cause you was swat having a
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: good time, feeling good. Y'all was pleasurable. You all had
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: so much in common. The only thing y'all had in
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: commons both y'all were separated. His plans was not your plans.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: You have every right to know of a man's plans.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: You especially have the right to know, ladies, if you
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: are not in his plans. There are ways to go
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: about finding this out. We come back, I'm gonna open
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: up a few more cans in the uh in this letter.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Few more items in this letter share with you, especially
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: the three problems she has. I'm too emotionally he says,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: he's too emotionally cried to drop down. Real women are mystery.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Once that is gone, nothing's left. I tell you what
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: me and mean by that, and I'm an open book.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: And the third big one I should have should not
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: have fallen in love with a married man. I'll tell
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you what that means to when we come back. You're
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: listening to the man told me that he was going
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: to New Jersey to get his ex girlfriend, the woman
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: he should have married instead of his wife. I had
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: to ask, what about me? He said, I'm a beautiful woman,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: but I had three problems. Let's go over these problems late.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Number one, I am too emotional. I cry at the
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: drop of a dime. Well, here's the deal. If a
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: man don't love you and don't have emotional ties to
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: you of any kind, which is obviously this man don't,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: he's not buying into drama. Tears to a man is
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: drama because guess what if your man loves you and
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: he sees you crying, he has to fix something. We
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: got to spring into action and do something. Since it's
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: it's the only reason we like to talk to you
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: if we don't want to talk to you if if
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: we can't fix it. So now you're just crying at
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: the drop of the dying. He don't know what the
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: hell going on. He can't fix it. That's drama. I'm
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: not in love with you, and I ain't really feeling
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: you like that. So guess what I ain't buying into
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: this drama over no cookie, which is all you are
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: is some cooking. Secondly, real women are mystery. Once that
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: is gone, nothing is left. He told you that, Okay,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: you know what that means. That means you told everything. See,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: y'all go about this the wrong way, y'all. Y'all think
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: it's being honest and open. Hey, hey, y'all better understand
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: what this really is now. When you're talking to us
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: what to tell a man and what not to tell
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: a man. When you give us information, we're taking this
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: information to use it a certain way. That's what we're doing.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: We're not gathering information because we care for you. We
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: gather information because we can use it in our quest. Third,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: the big one, I should have not she said, I
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: should have not fell in love. That's what she said
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: with the married man I miss all this, all the
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: signs of this rejection. No no, no, no, no, you
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: didn't miss any of the signs of rejection. You didn't
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: ask for the signs. You didn't ask any questions. What
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: was his intentions after his divorce was over, whether you
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: fit into the plans? How does he see you? What
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: the big one is I'm gonna give you, is that
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: you fell in love with a married man. You know
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: what he says to him, You had no standards. That's
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: all that says to him. Man, you had no standards.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Now you wanta do what? Now? You wanna start practicing
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: standards with me? I'm not really sure if you have any,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: because what you ain't gonna do is start practicing new
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: standards with me and my feelings. I'm gonna going up
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: to Jersey and get my old girl back. Man, holler
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: at you. We gotta go email or instagram us your
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: thoughts on today's Strawberry letter at my girl. Surely Steve
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: said something on the show the other day that I
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: think I'm gonna do that. I have never done this.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: When you go to like um stories where people have
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: stuff on layaway and if you can, if you can
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: afford it, just pick a family out and pay the
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: lay away off. That is so plea, yeah, you can
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: afford it. Kind of talk show because Walmart has a
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: tough time for a lot of families this year and
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: they're trying to have a holiday and they ain't got much,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: you know, and uh margin not usually go and just
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: go behind the counter. As people come up, we stay
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: in the back. They don't see us. Yeah, and the
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: lady goes, well, listen, it's four hundred, we pay it.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: This was a thousand we paid, Yeah, this was eleven hundred.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: We pay it whatever it is, and we just pay
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: until we pay. Doing that, miniums okay, well I just
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: need if y'all can just do, I'm gonna pay only
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: if you care, you're gonna pay. It went down. Yeah,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: I thought our old seventy five. Well j came in
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: here and put teen or you just oh sixty five
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: put lay away away. I can say who is Jenny?
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: And he added and he thought you might look nice
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: with these socks, but but ja over there with tiny glances,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: not just here like you did a good job. Yea.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: So again we want to thank Atlanta Magic one of
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: seven five five l A. K Jeels I prescription is
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: this and the giving will continue nationwide in New York City,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: d C, Philly, Chicago, US, Pittsburgh, Norfolk, Charlotte, Dallas, Tampa.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Tommy will be in Detroit, Carlaval in Houston handing out
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: turkey's congratulations. It's wonderful and I ain't really trying to
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: be stupid that that doesn't matter. Just speak food. But
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I'm just gonna ask because I've never seen it, but
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: have you ever seen a turkey egg? I mean, I've
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: never seen a turkey egg before me. They hatched like
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: chickens too, right, How can we never see no turkey eggs? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: where are we going with this? It was just an observation,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: like we buy it chicken eggs all day long. We
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: ain't never seen them. If they are landedge, that would
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: explain that goblin. They're big. The turkey eggs are big,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: I'm assuming huh yeah. But I don't think female turkey's gobble.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: I think they make a clicking noise. It was just
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: walking around wrong. If it's good, you're gonna goble now,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you that now, why we put it's
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: just random thingsil egg I didn't see the chicken egg.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I didn't see though ostrich egg. I am not seen
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: a turkey egg. I'm sorry. First of all. First of all, Tommy,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: it's not as many turkeys, and turkeys don't lay eggs
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: like chicken. Turkey. Only ladies about one sometimes two eggs
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: a week. Come on, But why we ain't seen them, dough,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: we ain't seen une we keep eating them like Easter eggs.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: I think this means a congressional investigation. Yeah, more of
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: this craziness coming up right after this. You're listening to
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Jay, this bit
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: is called you got your priority shot prior already he
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: is mixed up. Sometimes we do things, but we should
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: be doing another thing, meaning the thing that you might
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: not be doing should be the thing you should do.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Meaning you've got your priorities mixed up. For instant, for instance,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: how about we bless the food before we take pictures
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: of the damn for the grand baby, for the father,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: you know, bless the food first. I think got mixed up.

- 1:23:08Speaker 1: the food ain't good. I'd rather be in that tight

- 1:24:13Speaker 1: It's an art to g I love dressing. Marjorie makes

- 1:25:34Speaker 1: and pink cake, but it's got nuts all over the
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: outside of it. It's kind of it reminds me of
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: German chocolate cake, but it's all pink o favorite German chocolate.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: That's Marjorie's favorite. It was my favorite to Marjorie can
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: make a German chocolate cake and listen to me. And
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: I'm not saying this because I'm married to because she's

- 1:30:34Speaker 1: a decision about whether or not to invite your boyfriend
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: home or your girlfriend home for Thanksgiving is never easy,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: especially and if if it's new. Dating experts recommend asking yourself.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: Five important relationship questions before inviting anyone home for the holidays.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: Number one, how long have you been dating? Okay, the
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: short of the time period, the more likely he or
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: she may not be the same. Uh, you know you
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: may not be around next holiday season, so you never
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: know given time. Okay, is it worth a potential discomfort
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: of bringing someone who your family will never see again?
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: So think about that. Number two, how committed are you
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: if you're only like casually dating, you know, if you're
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: just kicking it or or seeing you know, if if
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: you haven't really been seeing this person for a real
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: long time, haven't made any you know, any commitments, you know,
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: we go together, anything like that. Don't bring anyone home. Uh,
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: go alone? Spend some quality time. Yeah you know that
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: old school term. If you go together, we go together?
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: You know, just go alone. Spend some quality time with
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: your friends and your family. Okay, that's the best thing,
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: the best way to handle that. Number three, are they
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: really serious about you? Are they really serious about you? Really? See?
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: What the reason you bring somebody home? No, it's because
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: you think, yes, you've got something you do, but do
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: they feel the same. See that's the problem though, because
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: they didn't lie to you and made you feel that way,
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: and they just want to gotta people to the house.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: You think you should. Yeah, you gotta bring them on
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: because you can find out a lot quicker everybody and
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: bought somebody home they ain't no, yeah, okay uh. Number four,
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: how formal is your family? How formal is the dinner
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: going to be? If it's a casual dinner, you know,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: then you can bring a friend that you're that you
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: just started dating. You can bring the movie. Yeah yeah,
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: leave that decision up to him or her, and don't
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: sweat it. What you're like the ones you see ayody
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: sit around the table? Yeah, me and got there? Don't
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: bring them? And and number five, what is your life stage?
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: They're saying, the younger you are, the longer you should
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: be dating someone before bringing them home for Thanksgiving. Now,
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: if you're a little older, it doesn't take as much
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: time to figure it out. So there you go to
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: answer your question. I hate new people in my house.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: I had to watch them. I'm sorry, there ain't nobody
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: coming to my house. I got to watch you think
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: they might steal them? You know, your relatives that bring
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: people with them. I hate that. No, no, nothing that
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: can't happen. That can't happen. I hate that. Man. What's
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: gonna happen is you ain't getting there and you're flying

- 1:33:34Speaker 1: First of all, let me play something. I got a gate.
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: When you rain my gate, I got camels everywhere. You
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: can't even see my camera. You had the gate. Now
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: as soon as you come up on my screen, I
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: looking at seeing some people in a carn't know I
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: gonna sit down. You just leave them at the gate.
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: I ain't got open this gate. We're here. Oh man,
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: I hate it. Man. I know it's Thanksgiving, but we're
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: not here. I can see the turkey on the from here,
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: but but we're not there, the turkeys there. You wouldn't
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: leave somebody outside your house and eat comfortably. I've done
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: I've done it. I've had him look up and see
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: me in the window, and I still look back at
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: him and turn my head like I don't even see it. Man.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: I've had people call me listen to this. I've had
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: people call me. I answered the phone on my cell phone.
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: They said, hey, man, I was just at your gate
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: and your God told me, you weren't now, but I
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: saw you up that are your car smoking a cigar?
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: Trying to hide it. I looked down there and saw
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: him at the gate. The God ain't let him in,
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: So now he talked, he's gonna call me on myself. Dog,
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: Your God told me you wasn't now, And I said,
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: you up there, I saw you. I pointed at and
