Ghislaine Maxwell’s relationship with the Clintons appears to have been considerably closer than the old public shorthand of “Epstein associate who happened to know Bill Clinton.” In her own 2025 interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Maxwell said flatly that “President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein’s friend,” and described herself as getting along “terribly well” with him.
