- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Man, If if if I had time enough
- 2:14Speaker 1: to tell the whole trip, the whole journey, and y'all
- 2:18Speaker 1: would be sitting up in there going, okay, Steve, are
- 2:21Speaker 1: we gonna play the show this week? But man, it's
- 2:25Speaker 1: been a lot of amazing things has has happened to
- 2:28Speaker 1: me over the years, um, and and not all of
- 2:33Speaker 1: them good. It's been some amazingly bad things that have
- 2:37Speaker 1: happened too. But I just come on in the morning
- 2:40Speaker 1: as a reminder to everybody of of of the actual
- 2:45Speaker 1: goodness of God that you know, man, that these mistakes
- 2:48Speaker 1: that you're making, that these setbacks that you keep having,
- 2:53Speaker 1: that these falls that keep occurring in your life, that
- 2:57Speaker 1: they all are leading you somewhere. If just don't ever
- 3:00Speaker 1: give up. That's the key. You can never ever give
- 3:05Speaker 1: up because you don't know how the trip has been
- 3:09Speaker 1: laid out for you. You know, if somebody had told
- 3:13Speaker 1: me um years ago when I had the dream of
- 3:18Speaker 1: being on TV and then I thought about being a
- 3:21Speaker 1: one of one of the best comedians I could be.
- 3:24Speaker 1: You know, when when I when I started, somebody had
- 3:27Speaker 1: told me everything that was gonna have to happen in
- 3:32Speaker 1: order for me to get there, I would have changed it.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I would have I would have said, Okay, well I
- 3:38Speaker 1: ain't gonna be that. How about this? See and and
- 3:42Speaker 1: no one can know all of the events of their
- 3:46Speaker 1: life ahead of time. You know, it would be so
- 3:48Speaker 1: nice when you know to prepare for it, see it coming,
- 3:53Speaker 1: be aware of the haters, always knowing when the backstabbing
- 3:57Speaker 1: moment is coming in your life, always knowing when you're
- 4:01Speaker 1: gonna get blindsided by the enemy. We're really great to
- 4:04Speaker 1: know that, wouldn't it. Well, that's not how it works.
- 4:08Speaker 1: So since no one knows exactly the challenges and the
- 4:14Speaker 1: pitfalls and the detools that's gonna be set them. It's
- 4:20Speaker 1: it's it's imperative that you just don't give up because see,
- 4:24Speaker 1: knowing these things, we as human beings by nature, would
- 4:31Speaker 1: choose another route. But it ain't the route God God
- 4:34Speaker 1: for you, though. See the route God God for you.
- 4:37Speaker 1: If you if you're trying to do the right thing,
- 4:40Speaker 1: if you're doing the best you can, if you ain't
- 4:43Speaker 1: out here just intentionally just messing over, folks, if you're
- 4:47Speaker 1: using faith and that's the belief in things that you
- 4:50Speaker 1: cannot see. If you have something on the inside of
- 4:54Speaker 1: you to keep saying there's got to be more to
- 4:56Speaker 1: life than that, then that's that's you. You, my friend,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and have a great chance here. And if you've ever
- 5:03Speaker 1: had that feeling and gave up on it, just get
- 5:06Speaker 1: it back. Just asked for it back. Just say, hey, man,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm getting back to the way I used to be.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Because there's a change that's available in your life. But
- 5:16Speaker 1: you gotta take it. You gotta take a shot at it. Folks.
- 5:19Speaker 1: There's a chance for you to get it right, but
- 5:22Speaker 1: you gotta take a shot at it. Folks. There's a
- 5:25Speaker 1: chance for you to turn this whole thing around with
- 5:28Speaker 1: God's help. But you gotta take a shot at it.
- 5:31Speaker 1: You see, this decision is yours. The decision to lay
- 5:35Speaker 1: down and give up, that's yours. It ain't it just
- 5:38Speaker 1: got too hard for me. Life too much, man, life
- 5:41Speaker 1: hard and too much for everybody. What I gotta get
- 5:44Speaker 1: you to see is if you don't lay down and
- 5:48Speaker 1: give into it, there's some great things in store for
- 5:51Speaker 1: your life. Because all of the things, every lesson I've
- 5:55Speaker 1: ever ever learned, the best lesson has been a bought essen.
- 6:01Speaker 1: My father used to always tell me. He said, son,
- 6:04Speaker 1: best lessons in life the born your value and learn
- 6:07Speaker 1: the most is about lesson. I didn't quite understand that
- 6:11Speaker 1: being young, but I showed God it now ain't no
- 6:14Speaker 1: lesson like a bout lesson, the one you pay for.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Those are the ones that hold to you, that stick
- 6:20Speaker 1: to you, that that that start turning you into who
- 6:23Speaker 1: you're gonna be. Those are the character builders. See, um,
- 6:27Speaker 1: you got to be forged to get to where you
- 6:30Speaker 1: want to go in life. So that's what the challenges
- 6:32Speaker 1: and missteps is for. That's what the failing is about. Now.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I know you don't like it. I didn't. I know
- 6:39Speaker 1: you're not comfortable when I wouldn't. I know you wish
- 6:42Speaker 1: it was over sooner than later. I always do. I
- 6:45Speaker 1: always wanted to be over sooner than later because the
- 6:49Speaker 1: later manager seems like it's so much I gotta go through.
- 6:53Speaker 1: But let me tell you something, man, if you can,
- 6:56Speaker 1: if you can Ford your way through it and understand
- 6:59Speaker 1: that you are forged in life, I don't know. I
- 7:04Speaker 1: was on TBN one time when I was doing one
- 7:06Speaker 1: of my motivational speeches, and I began to wonder about
- 7:11Speaker 1: this experience. I had a Ford Motor Company, and um,
- 7:15Speaker 1: one of the things that I had came to the
- 7:18Speaker 1: realization of was that that job at Ford mot Motor
- 7:21Speaker 1: Company taught me a couple of valuable lessons. First of all,
- 7:25Speaker 1: that I had to be at work on time, because
- 7:28Speaker 1: I always was. I had a really really good work record. Man.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I was a great employee because I because I didn't
- 7:35Speaker 1: want to disappoint anybody. You know, I already saw the
- 7:40Speaker 1: look on my parents face when I flunked out of college.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I didn't I wanted my father to know that I
- 7:45Speaker 1: was a hard worker. And so when I got the
- 7:48Speaker 1: job at Ford, I wanted to prove to my father,
- 7:51Speaker 1: my mother, you know, the the nay says, hey, man,
- 7:54Speaker 1: I know how to stick to something. But my last job,
- 7:58Speaker 1: after the auto industry started going down, my last job
- 8:02Speaker 1: was in the fountry and my job was to stand
- 8:06Speaker 1: at the end almost where the engines first come out
- 8:11Speaker 1: of the furnace. See, the engines are poured into a mold.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It's hot, melted down metal whatever they call it, lava
- 8:18Speaker 1: or whatever. They poured into a mold and it goes
- 8:21Speaker 1: into this furnace that's extremely hot. And my job was
- 8:27Speaker 1: after the heat was applied to the engine block, it
- 8:31Speaker 1: would come through and it would it would go through
- 8:34Speaker 1: a hardening stage. But the way it was hardening, they
- 8:36Speaker 1: would cool it. Suddenly they would flush it with water.
- 8:40Speaker 1: It was just blast water on it. But the fire
- 8:43Speaker 1: and the high temperature is what made the engine block solidified.
- 8:49Speaker 1: It's because it's gotta get real hot, get melted down first.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Then it's got to get poured into a mole. Then
- 8:56Speaker 1: it's gotta be pressure hit with water and all of it,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and then it and it's real hot. Now it's still
- 9:02Speaker 1: hot even though this water been shadow But when it
- 9:05Speaker 1: comes out the end of the side. There's a lot
- 9:07Speaker 1: of flashing in it, and flashing is a metal from
- 9:10Speaker 1: that to drip through the cast or molding on it,
- 9:13Speaker 1: just like flecks of extra pieces of metal. My job
- 9:18Speaker 1: was to hit this engine block in the front, which
- 9:22Speaker 1: is huge, heavy rubber mallet, knock all the flashing off
- 9:27Speaker 1: the front, and when it came around back to bam,
- 9:30Speaker 1: hit it real hard again on the back side, and
- 9:34Speaker 1: that became the core of what the car is. A
- 9:38Speaker 1: car without a great engine is nothing. It's just a
- 9:41Speaker 1: pretty looking vehicle over there. But if it can't do
- 9:44Speaker 1: what it was made to do because the engine block
- 9:47Speaker 1: then cracked. So you can have a car look real good,
- 9:49Speaker 1: but if it freezes an engine block crack your car,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you can it's it's over man. You gotta get a
- 9:54Speaker 1: new block. The block is the core. But in order
- 9:58Speaker 1: for you for the car to do it it's to do,
- 10:00Speaker 1: it's gotta have a strong engine in it. In order
- 10:02Speaker 1: for the engine to be strong, it's got to be
- 10:04Speaker 1: forged and still come through fire, get poured in a mold,
- 10:09Speaker 1: cooled off, heated, knocked around, beat on the front end,
- 10:13Speaker 1: beat on the back end. In order for it to
- 10:15Speaker 1: be what it's gonna be. The moral of the story, folks,
- 10:18Speaker 1: is you got to get forged in fire to be
- 10:21Speaker 1: what you're gonna be. You got to get beat up,
- 10:25Speaker 1: you got to get pressure washed, you got to have
- 10:27Speaker 1: heat on you. You gotta get melted down, you gotta
- 10:30Speaker 1: get poured into a mold. That's how you become who
- 10:33Speaker 1: you are. So the tough things that you're going through,
- 10:36Speaker 1: the difficult challenges and the setbacks. I know a brother
- 10:39Speaker 1: who went to prison, man, And and the whole reason
- 10:42Speaker 1: he ended up going to prison because he was looking
- 10:44Speaker 1: out the loop window, looking out in the yard at
- 10:47Speaker 1: him working out. And then the next thing, you know, man,
- 10:50Speaker 1: this brother decided that he was gonna go out there
- 10:52Speaker 1: and work out. Well, guess what. He's one of the
- 10:55Speaker 1: top trainers in country. Today. We are here this morning
- 11:05Speaker 1: for the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's about to begin.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Charlotte Strawberry, Hey, good morning, Steve Colin for rel Good
- 11:13Speaker 1: morning Steve, Hey, crew, Hey what up Julie j Anthony Brown.
- 11:21Speaker 1: If you don't vote nothing but hate the dog down Monday, baby,
- 11:30Speaker 1: Let's yeah. It is about one piece of business, folks.
- 11:35Speaker 1: We we cannot say enough how important it is for
- 11:39Speaker 1: you to get out there and vote. I don't care
- 11:41Speaker 1: what you have to do to vote President Obama. I
- 11:45Speaker 1: was listening to him over the weekend. He said this
- 11:49Speaker 1: could be possibly one of the biggest elections of our lifetime,
- 11:55Speaker 1: he said, including two thousand and eight when he ran.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It's sort of crazy, folks, We've got to vote. I
- 12:03Speaker 1: can't tell you how important it is, because we've got
- 12:06Speaker 1: to send a message to the White House. You are
- 12:11Speaker 1: not who we are, and that's a fact. Man. I'm sorry,
- 12:16Speaker 1: but he is just not who I am as a person.
- 12:19Speaker 1: He is not who we are as a country. I
- 12:23Speaker 1: just happen to believe we're better than that. And we've
- 12:26Speaker 1: got to get out those of us who are better
- 12:29Speaker 1: than that, who don't believe like he believed, who won't
- 12:34Speaker 1: say the things he will say, who won't be as
- 12:37Speaker 1: divisive as him. We've got to get out and vote
- 12:41Speaker 1: so we can have a better check and balanced system
- 12:43Speaker 1: of what's going on. So this guy can't just take
- 12:47Speaker 1: the House and the Senate and do what he want
- 12:48Speaker 1: to do. Because I'm telling you, man, you're gonna find
- 12:51Speaker 1: out very shortly, folks, if you don't already get it,
- 12:55Speaker 1: how he really feel about us. Those are fact. He's
- 13:02Speaker 1: close to saying it right, He's very saying right there.
- 13:09Speaker 1: You know, you know he's already you know when you're coming,
- 13:12Speaker 1: there goes my African American. Yeah, yeah, you know, African
- 13:17Speaker 1: American should vote for me. What do you have to lose? What? Look, man,
- 13:20Speaker 1: we we way past what we got to lose. Stage,
- 13:24Speaker 1: We have nothing to lose. What do we gain. We're
- 13:27Speaker 1: looking for gains at this point. Quit talking to us
- 13:30Speaker 1: about losing. So we've got to get out and vote. Everybody, please,
- 13:35Speaker 1: We've we've got to vote. Yeah, it's our civic duty. Steve,
- 13:39Speaker 1: You're absolutely right, and I'm just I say I've been
- 13:44Speaker 1: saying this all week. I'm so happy everyone on the
- 13:47Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. We don't just walk the walk
- 13:49Speaker 1: we talked. Yeah, we do it. We voted, voted, everybody's voted.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Because I didn't want to get hung up. I'm taping
- 13:58Speaker 1: because I tape on two. Yeah, it's a matter of fact.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Me and my wife flew to Atlanta to vote. I
- 14:08Speaker 1: had to fill out another form because they say, well,
- 14:11Speaker 1: we sent your absent tea ballots out. Now that's sorry,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I ain't got it. Check I'm here, we were your wife, Well,
- 14:18Speaker 1: I guess that's a whole family fair. Your wife was
- 14:20Speaker 1: just in here. But that's how you vote on your
- 14:22Speaker 1: private jet to vote, that's what that's when you're doing
- 14:24Speaker 1: it for when you got money, that's how you vote
- 14:29Speaker 1: and you roll up to the poll in your your
- 14:31Speaker 1: g what help Coming up in thirty two after, we're
- 14:35Speaker 1: gonna we're gonna talk about what we did over the
- 14:38Speaker 1: weekend and more un voting. Uh, coming up into after
- 14:41Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 14:48Speaker 1: it's time for a little weekend review. Um, So, Steve,
- 14:51Speaker 1: how was your weekend? Would do? I didn't let me
- 14:54Speaker 1: see you were off right? Well, Friday, I start in
- 15:00Speaker 1: my meeting at ten and I met took all my
- 15:04Speaker 1: meetings at the same restaurant. So from ten to four thirty,
- 15:08Speaker 1: I said, in the same restaurant, you had all three meals.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I was waiting to meet you. Okay, a long line
- 15:19Speaker 1: of people. So you had bunch and dinner. Yeah, I
- 15:26Speaker 1: had two lunches. Okay, you know who are you meet me? Um? Well,
- 15:33Speaker 1: I can't tell you all of who I'm met with,
- 15:36Speaker 1: but well, no, not really. I mean, I know what
- 15:40Speaker 1: they did. All my means is about getting it together.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I meet constantly to try to get it together. So
- 15:48Speaker 1: it was getting together meetings. Okay, get it together. You
- 15:53Speaker 1: know people listening they think you already got it together.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I don't know, oh absolutely, because you know, no matter
- 16:01Speaker 1: how together you have it, things are going to change.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Everything is going to change. You know. Uh for example,
- 16:12Speaker 1: you know NBC came out and said, uh, they're gonna
- 16:15Speaker 1: bring out Kelly Clarkson this year. Yeah, so okay, cool.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Then if that's the statement you've made, then I have
- 16:26Speaker 1: to think of something. And you know, I just make
- 16:30Speaker 1: preparations when I hear stuff like that, whether it's true
- 16:32Speaker 1: or not, don't make me no difference. You know, I
- 16:35Speaker 1: just got office. We just got office. They're gonna take
- 16:42Speaker 1: it from me that, you know. Seeing's like this, man,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you gotta understand this. Can nobody take nothing from you
- 16:49Speaker 1: that that didn't give to you? Okay, you gave us office? No, No,
- 16:55Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't give you an office. God gave you.
- 16:58Speaker 1: And so you know, yeah, I'm you know what I'm
- 17:01Speaker 1: saying when whenever people start talking about taking stuff from
- 17:05Speaker 1: me that they don't even understand it's Isaiah seventeen all
- 17:10Speaker 1: day with me. You conformed the weapon against me. But
- 17:16Speaker 1: it's not gonna prosper that. That's on you, you know right.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I just keep going man, and trust and trust and
- 17:26Speaker 1: know that everything works for the good of those who
- 17:30Speaker 1: love the Lord. I love him, I'm his child, and
- 17:34Speaker 1: so whenever a door closes, he makes room to open
- 17:38Speaker 1: up another one for me. That's right. You know, what
- 17:43Speaker 1: are you do? You have Isaiah's nomb and me and
- 17:47Speaker 1: junior if you the prophet from the Bible years ago.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Somebody getting stupid up in here, That's what I like.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Come on, Jake, we're just trying to find out. We're
- 17:58Speaker 1: going with him right behind them. You got a number, okay?
- 18:18Speaker 1: Can I okay? Okay, okay? Then cool? Then can I
- 18:21Speaker 1: sense we're going deep? Can I tell you something? So
- 18:26Speaker 1: here's the deal. There's a scripture in Corinthians second Corinthians
- 18:33Speaker 1: that says something to the fact that now thanks be
- 18:37Speaker 1: to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ.
- 18:41Speaker 1: So what I got. What that means to me is see,
- 18:44Speaker 1: God promises to always lead us into victory, and that
- 18:51Speaker 1: means no matter what you're facing, no matter what's going
- 18:54Speaker 1: on in the world around you. No matter what anybody says,
- 18:59Speaker 1: you should always be thinking God because victory is on
- 19:03Speaker 1: the way. See. So every time somebody has told me
- 19:08Speaker 1: they're gonna do something to me, I said, okay, now
- 19:11Speaker 1: I must warn you that I'm protected now, So when
- 19:15Speaker 1: you think you're doing what you're doing, I'm telling you
- 19:18Speaker 1: he he got me, so go ahead. And then I
- 19:23Speaker 1: just go on and and and and claim victory immediately.
- 19:27Speaker 1: So I just started meeting with people, talking to people
- 19:30Speaker 1: about ideas and other things. And I sat down today
- 19:36Speaker 1: and here's here's another part I was thinking about. Because
- 19:39Speaker 1: I was just thinking about when you're going through something,
- 19:42Speaker 1: you're in the middle of something, and you really want
- 19:44Speaker 1: to show faith. I claimed victory. So what I did
- 19:47Speaker 1: today was I started writing down all of the stuff
- 19:53Speaker 1: that was gonna happen to me in light of the
- 19:57Speaker 1: stuff that they say it's gonna happen to me. So
- 20:01Speaker 1: I went on and I said, uh, you know, I'm
- 20:04Speaker 1: gonna have some jobs for some TV people. You know,
- 20:08Speaker 1: that's some people who work on my TV. I'm gonna
- 20:10Speaker 1: have some job for Uh. This move right here gonna
- 20:13Speaker 1: allow me to fully refund my retirement fund. This move
- 20:17Speaker 1: right here, I think all there gonna get a purchase
- 20:20Speaker 1: of a new home. Okay, you know, I say it's
- 20:25Speaker 1: gonna free up some more time for me and helped
- 20:29Speaker 1: me increase my global business global. Uh. You know, I
- 20:34Speaker 1: probably get have time not to work on this investment
- 20:37Speaker 1: fund I was working on. Might as well going to
- 20:40Speaker 1: get me another a new office space. You know, I'll
- 20:44Speaker 1: start saying. I started looking into them opportunities owning housing
- 20:49Speaker 1: projects that's available around the country. Now, might as well
- 20:54Speaker 1: sit down, get my Walmart business straighten out, you know,
- 20:59Speaker 1: time on your end. Yeah, praise God for all to come.
- 21:03Speaker 1: And then the last two things I wrote was he
- 21:05Speaker 1: didn't bring me this far to leave. Last thing I
- 21:08Speaker 1: wrote was Isaiah fid folks something too. That's what I
- 21:11Speaker 1: did today, all right? Now when you know what they're
- 21:15Speaker 1: saying when I ain't here now macause I went on
- 21:22Speaker 1: that whole rat ain't heard I name yet? You know
- 21:27Speaker 1: what they say when when when one private jet land,
- 21:30Speaker 1: you know another one is right? You know that's what
- 21:34Speaker 1: your that's your takeaway. You didn't get that out of
- 21:38Speaker 1: all that, you say I didn't hear my name? All right?
- 21:41Speaker 1: Coming up next, it's Monday, so you know what that means.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Reverend Motown, Deacon Jeff Jam in the building with church
- 21:48Speaker 1: complaints right after this. Cos you're listening to Steve Show,
- 21:58Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle is campaigning. Is well, he's on that voting
- 22:01Speaker 1: tip to everyone is But right now it is Monday.
- 22:05Speaker 1: It's time to have some fun with revnd Motown and
- 22:08Speaker 1: Deacon death Jam. Today's church complaints. Gracious Most Octavian died richly,
- 22:23Speaker 1: goover Tario what most High? Come on and say that?
- 22:31Speaker 1: I said, goover Tarvio. Now you preaching now already in
- 22:35Speaker 1: the Most High we gavel on this Monday all right
- 22:45Speaker 1: to hell again? What in the world in Rome with
- 22:50Speaker 1: this congregation? Deacon has complaints? And as if I call
- 22:58Speaker 1: well that book, take it like a come past, to
- 23:02Speaker 1: take it like it comes. Well. Here it is, as
- 23:07Speaker 1: you know, tomorrow is voting past. And now we feel
- 23:12Speaker 1: like a couple of the members of voting against our belief,
- 23:17Speaker 1: especially Brother Oldis Riley and who else is that? I think, um,
- 23:23Speaker 1: they say Brother Timothy, but and Andre Wilson voting what
- 23:29Speaker 1: or they are voting Republican? And I think we need
- 23:34Speaker 1: to handle him at the church at before we befotoposed
- 23:37Speaker 1: open to make well they can vote Republican. They just
- 23:43Speaker 1: one vote, as we need all these votes. And I'm
- 23:48Speaker 1: just saying, I think you are to talk to the
- 23:50Speaker 1: oldest Riley and Timothy Wilson. Well, I'll tell you what,
- 23:55Speaker 1: because I'm not gonna do any such a thing. Why
- 24:01Speaker 1: don't we look, I'm not caidding him down there. I'm
- 24:05Speaker 1: gonna tell you that. Now. I will just go. Why
- 24:08Speaker 1: don't we help brother Biggins and Brother Nathaniel. Oh ye,
- 24:22Speaker 1: visions and alight. I thought you were gonna say no violence,
- 24:35Speaker 1: and we're not in the same way. We're in the back.
- 24:38Speaker 1: But anyway, it's still holy crap, I understand. But this
- 24:42Speaker 1: is a meeting moving forward past. The kids are asking
- 24:46Speaker 1: that you tell her sister Darline dever out that Halloween
- 24:50Speaker 1: is over. He is still scanning them. What they don't realize,
- 24:54Speaker 1: pastor is h that is not makeup? Are a costume?
- 24:59Speaker 1: U don't know what to say to the cherry Well.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Sister devil Roll plays several roles for us during oh
- 25:10Speaker 1: throughout the Yield, so at Halloween she is the lead
- 25:17Speaker 1: off at the Hunted House for thanks Giving, or she
- 25:24Speaker 1: actually comes in as the turkey, and at Christmas she
- 25:32Speaker 1: plays one of the camel's right right at the major scene. Natural. Yeah,
- 25:39Speaker 1: so we don't bother with her at home. So Sister
- 25:46Speaker 1: Devereux is a fine, fine woman here to the church
- 25:50Speaker 1: that covers so many holidays. You don't want to put
- 25:54Speaker 1: that hump on you. Just name a holiday, Sister Sherley,
- 25:58Speaker 1: and I'll tell you what you do any holiday. Uh,
- 26:01Speaker 1: fourth of July. Fourth of July, she is the explosion. Really,
- 26:11Speaker 1: she walked here boom like that. Next holiday, New Year's Eve,
- 26:17Speaker 1: New Year's Eve, she is the aftermouth of the New
- 26:25Speaker 1: Year's Eve party when all the confedio on the ground,
- 26:29Speaker 1: she just layd that with it and bleeding right in.
- 26:34Speaker 1: And one more sister, she President's Day. President's Day. She
- 26:40Speaker 1: comes in and looks just like Abraham with the beard
- 26:47Speaker 1: and everything. Look, jet, we put a stove top calf
- 26:51Speaker 1: on that woman. And it's such an experience having hustle
- 26:56Speaker 1: blee leaves sister devil roller it in old holiday one.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Come on, no goodness, let's move along here past it. Listen,
- 27:28Speaker 1: we got an issue. Deacon um Jasper Daniels, who runs
- 27:32Speaker 1: the Extreme Funeral Home, says, you are scheduled to preach
- 27:37Speaker 1: the eulogy. Uh her brother Jacovid Codway out. Now, this
- 27:42Speaker 1: is what you need to understand. This is an extreme
- 27:44Speaker 1: funeral home path that they're gonna have him sitting up
- 27:46Speaker 1: on the couch where the Xbox remote controlling his hand,
- 27:50Speaker 1: and he'll be staring at the congregation. That's how they're
- 27:53Speaker 1: bearing him. It's an extreme funeral home. So they have
- 27:56Speaker 1: a whole scene right there at the church and he'll
- 27:59Speaker 1: be that. So I want you to know they're gonna
- 28:00Speaker 1: have him propped up. It's not a normal casket type
- 28:03Speaker 1: of thing. Well, my sermon, I've already written it for
- 28:11Speaker 1: the extreme funeral alright. The name of this sermony is
- 28:16Speaker 1: and what is this boy's name, brother Jacoby Cordway, Jacoby
- 28:21Speaker 1: card Will. If you live your life like Jacobe card
- 28:29Speaker 1: Will did, you can press x x y Z and
- 28:34Speaker 1: jump your head straight to head. There you go again,
- 28:41Speaker 1: cause that was c You don't know, but don't get
- 28:44Speaker 1: the joke. That's that control C x x Y. Now
- 28:51Speaker 1: he'd jumped himself to here. He thought that was chromosome
- 28:55Speaker 1: let whatever next pastor the Thanksgiving Pie office is vastly
- 29:04Speaker 1: approaching us. Now the pumpkin pie versus the sweetpetator pie contest?
- 29:08Speaker 1: Is this sad? Sister Kiana Hutchins and Sister uh Nathana
- 29:14Speaker 1: Collins say, you always vote against the pumpkin pies, and
- 29:18Speaker 1: they got an issue with ugenin this time around. Well,
- 29:22Speaker 1: they could have an issue if they won't, But I
- 29:26Speaker 1: have told them. They even tried to make it a
- 29:30Speaker 1: racial issue last year because they had a white woman
- 29:35Speaker 1: turned into punking pot and the black people turned their
- 29:39Speaker 1: squeep tator pip, and they thought it was racial. But
- 29:44Speaker 1: I just told them culturally, we don't really do sweet
- 29:48Speaker 1: punkin pie, right right, So we didn't eat it. What
- 29:53Speaker 1: it is sweeper tator pie just a better pie. You
- 29:57Speaker 1: had a contest, are tasted, but the winner gonna be
- 30:00Speaker 1: screepy tape better than pearl. Lead me past it. Just
- 30:11Speaker 1: put this on you on your man. Sister roadin Ridgeway,
- 30:14Speaker 1: won't hert dog Lucky baptized this coming Sunday? Go ahead.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I'm tell you right now, Lucky won't get his ass
- 30:22Speaker 1: in this water. Now you let a little luck At
- 30:29Speaker 1: jumped down in this and we got drained this whole
- 30:32Speaker 1: damn thing. I'll tell you what let Lucky jumping their water.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Lucky won't be so lucky. All right, and that's a wrap. Listen, Uh,
- 30:44Speaker 1: Entertainment news is coming up right after this. You're listening
- 30:48Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right. Dave Chappelle says his
- 30:53Speaker 1: backing of Maryland gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous is not a
- 30:58Speaker 1: political Hollywood ploy because he's just doing what he thinks
- 31:02Speaker 1: is right. Dave said he's known been his whole life
- 31:05Speaker 1: and truly believes he's right for the job. He says,
- 31:08Speaker 1: rather than tell people how to vote, he's simply making
- 31:11Speaker 1: them aware of Ben's campaign. Yeah, I mean yeah, why
- 31:18Speaker 1: are they saying it's a political ploy anyway? I think
- 31:22Speaker 1: they're trying to say, celebrities, right, right, let's see what
- 31:26Speaker 1: they need to do. Celebrities get one vote, Celebrities had
- 31:31Speaker 1: a right to right. You can't say to a person
- 31:34Speaker 1: just called a person is a celebrity, that you're gonna
- 31:37Speaker 1: do something else you did you know? You know that
- 31:39Speaker 1: they don't have the right to do this or do that.
- 31:42Speaker 1: You can't say that they got Madda Taylor Swift Um
- 31:47Speaker 1: I saw on Instagram today or yesterday. I think it
- 31:50Speaker 1: was that she's supporting Um Andrew Gillum out of Florida
- 31:54Speaker 1: for governor. You know, yeah, so I mean, you know,
- 31:58Speaker 1: like you said, Carla, they have one vote, we all
- 32:00Speaker 1: have one vote, and said that. She said she can
- 32:03Speaker 1: do what she want to do. She can endure. She's
- 32:06Speaker 1: a citizen of the United States. You've got people running
- 32:10Speaker 1: campaigns that who are they? As a matter of fact,
- 32:15Speaker 1: who is another? Okay, let me ask you this, who
- 32:18Speaker 1: is the president? To tell me who to vote for?
- 32:21Speaker 1: You are ready to president? So why are you in this?
- 32:26Speaker 1: And he's campaigning all over the country, you know what
- 32:29Speaker 1: I mean? And run the damn country right campaign since
- 32:33Speaker 1: he got in there. Yeah, yeah, he likes doing that.
- 32:36Speaker 1: That's what That's his favorite thing to do. It seems
- 32:39Speaker 1: the campaign, you know what, he had the nerve to say.
- 32:42Speaker 1: But he had the nerve to say that. Stacy Abrams,
- 32:50Speaker 1: it's up against a Harvard graduate. She's not qualified to
- 32:58Speaker 1: to run for office. I went, she ain't qualified. Excuse me?
- 33:04Speaker 1: You was on a TV ship. You ain't. You ain't
- 33:10Speaker 1: ever served a single person in no capacity an activist.
- 33:17Speaker 1: You have been an alderman, councilman, nothing. You're not a lawyer?
- 33:22Speaker 1: What man? Please exactly man. But he said that I went,
- 33:28Speaker 1: whoam everybody black with qualifications ain't qualified when it comes
- 33:34Speaker 1: to Trump because Obama right shut that down stuff he
- 33:38Speaker 1: says was over qualifiedly about them all. But can I
- 33:44Speaker 1: ask you another question. Here's what's disturbing if he talking
- 33:48Speaker 1: about he wants to change the birthright Amendment, which means
- 33:54Speaker 1: that if you were born in this country by and
- 34:00Speaker 1: legal immigrants, that they can rescind your citizenship. Half of
- 34:08Speaker 1: this country is out. But let me say this to you.
- 34:14Speaker 1: His first wife did not become a citizen and to nine,
- 34:22Speaker 1: so that means his children. That means his children would
- 34:27Speaker 1: have to go can stay here? Yeah? Yeah, Donald Trump
- 34:32Speaker 1: Junior Ivanka Yeah, all right, Steve, We're gonna move on here.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Time for today's headlines. Ladies and gentlemen, MS and trip,
- 34:49Speaker 1: thank you very much. Everybody. Here we go. Sad news though.
- 34:51Speaker 1: We're starting out with Brent Taylor, the mayor of North Ogden, Utah,
- 34:56Speaker 1: was killed over the weekend in Afghanistan. Mayor Taylor had
- 34:59Speaker 1: temporarily stepped away from his job for his fourth deployment
- 35:03Speaker 1: to the Middle East with the Utah Army National Guard.
- 35:05Speaker 1: CNN reports that the may was killed by a member
- 35:08Speaker 1: of the Afghan National Defense and Security Force. In other words,
- 35:11Speaker 1: this was someone he was training and the person pulled
- 35:14Speaker 1: a gun on him and killed him. That attack is dead.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Brent Taylor, the mayor, leaves a wife and seven children.
- 35:20Speaker 1: The white woman who who was caught on video harrassing
- 35:23Speaker 1: two black women in the North Carolina apartment complex last
- 35:26Speaker 1: month has turned herself into the police. Cops said they
- 35:29Speaker 1: hadn't been able to locate fifty one year old Susan
- 35:31Speaker 1: Westwood since he is and took place October nineteen. I
- 35:35Speaker 1: got your girl, how are you? I'm hot, I'm beautiful,
- 35:38Speaker 1: I'm one, I'm I live here and I pay rent.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I pay almost So what's going on? Because your white
- 35:46Speaker 1: friend here is your baby daddy here, nobody cares hot.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I'm white and I'm hot. Well, the so called Susan
- 35:56Speaker 1: south Park becomes the latest white woman to call the
- 35:58Speaker 1: police on innocent black people who are only trying to
- 36:01Speaker 1: get on with their lives. South Park Susan has since
- 36:03Speaker 1: lost her job and is about to lose her apartment.
- 36:06Speaker 1: President Trump is still on the stump for GOP candidates
- 36:08Speaker 1: and tomorrow's midterm elections. Over the weekend, Trump was in
- 36:11Speaker 1: Tennessee and then in Georgia. You want to see Georgia
- 36:14Speaker 1: prosperity and quickly vote for the Democrat. She'll end in quickly.
- 36:19Speaker 1: You will end it quickly, and she'll double up your
- 36:21Speaker 1: taxes and a lot of bad things will happen. You know,
- 36:24Speaker 1: the Republican Secretary State Brian Kemp, who actually gets to
- 36:27Speaker 1: referee the vote bax Flight, the contest he's in, he
- 36:31Speaker 1: gets to referee it. He faces the stiff challenge for
- 36:34Speaker 1: governor from Democrats Stacy Abrams, who would be the first
- 36:36Speaker 1: African American female to head the Georgia Statehouse, and the
- 36:39Speaker 1: peach state's gubernatorial contest has drawn early voters to the
- 36:42Speaker 1: polls in record and numbers. Now, a federal judge has
- 36:44Speaker 1: made it possible for even more people to cast votes tomorrow,
- 36:47Speaker 1: ruling that Georgia is going to have to relax the
- 36:49Speaker 1: restrictions included in their so called Exact Max law, which
- 36:52Speaker 1: flags voter registrations that have a minor discrepancies like missing
- 36:56Speaker 1: hyphens or accent marks or middle initials. So now those
- 36:59Speaker 1: people who are I can vote if they settled a
- 37:01Speaker 1: problem by proving proof of identity. Okay, got that fellow
- 37:04Speaker 1: appeals court has ruled at residents of Ohio who are
- 37:07Speaker 1: purged from the voting roles for not casting bouts over
- 37:09Speaker 1: a six year period must be allowed in this week's
- 37:13Speaker 1: midterm elections. That's quoting to an appeals court in Cincinnati,
- 37:16Speaker 1: with only one day to go before the midterm elections.
- 37:19Speaker 1: By the way, a new poll seems to indicate that
- 37:21Speaker 1: the millennials are not about to miss this one. According
- 37:23Speaker 1: to a survoive survey by Harvard's Institute of Politics, the
- 37:27Speaker 1: young people asked say they will definitely vote, twelve percent
- 37:31Speaker 1: say they're not voting, six they're not sure who he's
- 37:33Speaker 1: going to vote or not. By the way, Rihanna has
- 37:35Speaker 1: found out that the Trump people have been using one
- 37:37Speaker 1: of her songs. She said, uh, don't touch it. Tops
- 37:40Speaker 1: to the weekend box office the film Bohebian wrapping. Here's
- 37:45Speaker 1: up Stevie Harvey Nation find out a funkless TeV smarter
- 37:47Speaker 1: than his nephew will be back twenty minutes after the
- 37:49Speaker 1: hour on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 37:54Speaker 1: show and more political news. Last night on sixty Minutes,
- 37:59Speaker 1: sent Ted Cruz tried to rectify what then candidate Donald
- 38:03Speaker 1: Trump said about his father and wife, and now he
- 38:07Speaker 1: welcomed the president's support. Take a listen, listen. Sten was
- 38:12Speaker 1: a hard fought campaign, and then there were hard blows
- 38:15Speaker 1: thrown all around. Now I could have said, you know,
- 38:18Speaker 1: I've got hurt feelings. I don't like the things he
- 38:20Speaker 1: said on the campaign, so I'm going to take my
- 38:22Speaker 1: marbles and go home. Frankly, I think that would have
- 38:24Speaker 1: been a really selfish decision. Marvel's implies as his schoolyard stuff.
- 38:29Speaker 1: But but you know what he said about your father.
- 38:31Speaker 1: At the end of the day, it's not about me.
- 38:33Speaker 1: It's not about being selfish and worrying about my hurt
- 38:35Speaker 1: feelings and and and so listen, I don't apologize for
- 38:40Speaker 1: not being self centered and pounding my foot and refusing
- 38:43Speaker 1: to work with the president. I'm going to do my
- 38:44Speaker 1: job for the people of Texas. Didn't that answers your question?
- 38:51Speaker 1: Hanging out Trump's dangling hanging out the right? That is
- 39:05Speaker 1: that a boot? He's he's a coward. He's a coward.
- 39:12Speaker 1: What he said about his wife, He's a coward. I'm
- 39:17Speaker 1: sorry his father. It has nothing to do with serving
- 39:22Speaker 1: the people of Texas. What it had to do about
- 39:26Speaker 1: him saving his career. Yeah, that's exactly right. He wants
- 39:30Speaker 1: to win. He wants to win. What does your wife
- 39:33Speaker 1: think of you? I'm telling you what would take that
- 39:39Speaker 1: from all if you serving the people of Texas, just
- 39:41Speaker 1: people of Texas with said saying about your wife and
- 39:45Speaker 1: you know what one of the people in Texas is
- 39:47Speaker 1: your wife. Yeah that's right. Well maybe she'll vote for
- 39:51Speaker 1: better probably because she get a vote. Yeah, yeah, maybe
- 39:57Speaker 1: that's what she'll do. W he tried to rectify it, Yeah,
- 40:04Speaker 1: because man, it's just he's a coward. He is truly
- 40:07Speaker 1: a coward. You cannot do that to my family. Man.
- 40:12Speaker 1: And we cool, yeah, man, no, we're gonna say none
- 40:15Speaker 1: about beautiful Ted beautiful. Yeah. Yeah, that's what the president's
- 40:20Speaker 1: coming all right, all right, coming up at thirty four
- 40:27Speaker 1: after the hour, President number forty four, Our beloved President
- 40:32Speaker 1: Obama was busy all weekend campaigning. He was all over
- 40:36Speaker 1: the place campaigning hard for these Democratic candidates because he
- 40:40Speaker 1: wants to make a difference too. I think he lost
- 40:42Speaker 1: his voice. He was going hard. Yeah, and uh yeah
- 40:45Speaker 1: he did. He did lose his voice a little bit. Well,
- 40:47Speaker 1: you know, two Showski we'll be back to talk about
- 40:50Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening to Steve Hardy Morning Show. Alright,
- 40:55Speaker 1: this past weekend was all about stumping and campaigning. Guys.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Steve presid it at number forty four and number forty five.
- 41:02Speaker 1: They were both campaigning this weekend. Former President Obama was
- 41:05Speaker 1: on the road all weekend to rally voters in Georgia
- 41:07Speaker 1: and Florida, and Indiana and Chicago. Meanwhile, Donald Trump has
- 41:12Speaker 1: said that Andrew Gillum is not equipped to be governor
- 41:15Speaker 1: of Florida and that Stacy Abrams is not qualified to
- 41:19Speaker 1: be the governor of Georgia without invoking his name. Mr
- 41:23Speaker 1: Obama has accused Mr Trump of lying and fearmongering and
- 41:27Speaker 1: warned Democrats not to be distracted. President Obama talked about
- 41:32Speaker 1: some things that should transcend party. Take a listen, and
- 41:35Speaker 1: maybe I'm naive, but even in this period of hyperpartisanship
- 41:40Speaker 1: and and tribal politics, I am hoping that there's some
- 41:45Speaker 1: folks out there that maybe they don't agree with Democrats
- 41:47Speaker 1: all the time on earthing, but but think, you know what,
- 41:50Speaker 1: there's some things that transcend parting. It shouldn't be democratic
- 41:54Speaker 1: a republican to say your words should mean something. It
- 41:59Speaker 1: shouldn't be democratic a Republican to say we don't target
- 42:04Speaker 1: certain groups of people based on what they look like
- 42:07Speaker 1: or how they're president. It shouldn't be democratic a Republican
- 42:15Speaker 1: to say it's wrong to spend all your time vilifying
- 42:18Speaker 1: folks and calling them enemies of the people, and then
- 42:21Speaker 1: when bad things happen, suddenly you're concerned with civility. Oh yeah, man, okay,
- 42:30Speaker 1: because you know that's that's being presidential on so many levels,
- 42:34Speaker 1: and does not understand how to be presidential. All he
- 42:41Speaker 1: is is he exemplifies what I've always known about money,
- 42:47Speaker 1: is that money doesn't change people. It merely allows you
- 42:52Speaker 1: to be more of who you really are. Now this
- 42:55Speaker 1: president not only has some money, but now he has
- 42:59Speaker 1: a position, this ship also and so now, man, he's
- 43:03Speaker 1: just doing anything he feels like doing. And he's so transparent.
- 43:10Speaker 1: When he was talking about, oh, the momentum got lost
- 43:17Speaker 1: this week because of a couple of attacks on the synagogue,
- 43:25Speaker 1: and and and and and and and and the pipe bone.
- 43:30Speaker 1: It hurts the momentum of what they were working on doing.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Then he's tried to fix it, and he said nothing
- 43:40Speaker 1: should should be allowed to address the momentum when you're
- 43:45Speaker 1: talking about tragedies like this. But it did. Though it did,
- 43:49Speaker 1: it stopped the momentum. I mean, man, how how this is?
- 43:59Speaker 1: It's actually repulsive man, because you know what, and the
- 44:04Speaker 1: reason we have to get to the polls and vote,
- 44:07Speaker 1: it's because this is not who we are. It's still
- 44:11Speaker 1: our country. Don't let nobody fool you. This is our country.
- 44:18Speaker 1: This is ours just like it's anybody else's. And this
- 44:23Speaker 1: guy is not he's not indict he's not representative of
- 44:31Speaker 1: who we are as a people. I would never take
- 44:36Speaker 1: a mother and child and separate them. But you know
- 44:39Speaker 1: why they did this because they wanted to send a
- 44:42Speaker 1: clear message to the ones coming behind us, We're gonna
- 44:46Speaker 1: take your baby from you. We're gonna take your baby
- 44:49Speaker 1: from if you don't think that's why they did that,
- 44:51Speaker 1: and the separating and and these and these kids still
- 44:53Speaker 1: ain't with their parents, and that's what they did that
- 44:57Speaker 1: on purpose, that was done in intentionally. We're not that
- 45:03Speaker 1: as a people. We don't think that everybody coming over
- 45:07Speaker 1: here trying to seek a better life for themselves and
- 45:10Speaker 1: seek asylum and and start over is coming to this
- 45:14Speaker 1: country south of the border because of the color day skin.
- 45:17Speaker 1: Today criminals, drug addicts, and terrorists. We don't really feel
- 45:22Speaker 1: that way. I don't really feel like we should build
- 45:25Speaker 1: a wall. I don't. I think we should have some
- 45:27Speaker 1: type of system in place that works. I agree with that,
- 45:31Speaker 1: but we were a wall. I don't see this. I
- 45:34Speaker 1: don't this travel band. They get out of here. Yeah, alright,
- 45:39Speaker 1: uh yeah, get to those poles tomorrow. All right. Up next,
- 45:43Speaker 1: it is the nephew with the prank phone call. Right
- 45:45Speaker 1: after this you're listening to. Coming up at the top
- 45:51Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after it is
- 45:54Speaker 1: my strawberry letter. For today's subject is my husband jealous
- 45:57Speaker 1: of my mom. That's the subject. Right now it is
- 46:01Speaker 1: the nephews turn he's here, Yeah, with today's prank phone
- 46:04Speaker 1: called what you got now? You married Joe brother? Know
- 46:08Speaker 1: what I got to get it out? You mad your brother?

- 46:36Speaker 1: is it? Harvey. Harvey, Is that right? Yes? Okay, you
- 46:40Speaker 1: guys actually put applications and actually went in and got
- 46:43Speaker 1: your physicals done for Life Insurance, right, Yeah, yeah, that's correct. Okay.
- 46:47Speaker 1: I actually I'm calling you from the insurance group. I
- 46:50Speaker 1: have you alls, lab results and everything as far as
- 46:53Speaker 1: your physicals and blood cuts and things of that nature.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Is there any way I could possibly talk to both
- 46:59Speaker 1: of you guys at the same time, you and Harvey.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Is that possible? Um? Well, sure, he's at work right now,
- 47:05Speaker 1: but I can get him on the side. Okay, it
- 47:07Speaker 1: will be Uh it would be kind of easy if
- 47:09Speaker 1: I kind of explained everything to both of you guys
- 47:10Speaker 1: at the same time as that. If that's okay, Okay,
- 47:13Speaker 1: some wrong, Uh No, nothing's wrong. I mean I think
- 47:16Speaker 1: I need to just try to bring a few things
- 47:17Speaker 1: that you guys attention. But I think you know, after that,
- 47:20Speaker 1: it's pretty much you guys decision on what you do.
- 47:22Speaker 1: But I just wanted to let you know a few
- 47:23Speaker 1: things about you know, the results and things that that nature,
- 47:26Speaker 1: Life Insurance, the whole nine yards. Okay, Okay, here, hold on,
- 47:30Speaker 1: let me see you talking to him on the phone.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Hey babe, Hey, sweetheart, Um, look, I got the insurance
- 47:41Speaker 1: people on the line. They want to kin get both
- 47:43Speaker 1: of us on the phone, uh, to talk to us
- 47:45Speaker 1: about the insurance stuff. Hey, Harvey, are you doing this
- 47:49Speaker 1: is keep keep from the insurance group? How are you? Hey?
- 47:52Speaker 1: Good with that? Nikki? Good? Good? Listen. Um, I wanted
- 47:55Speaker 1: to give you guys a call and kind of follow up.
- 47:57Speaker 1: And you guys did physicals and blood tests and the
- 48:00Speaker 1: whole nine yards, and I want to give you guys
- 48:02Speaker 1: a call. It's kind of better if I talked to
- 48:03Speaker 1: um both of you guys at the same time. So
- 48:05Speaker 1: do you have a minute that we could actually use
- 48:07Speaker 1: to kind of get some of this information out to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 48:10Speaker 1: I'm fine. I'm gonna break right now. I'm good. Okay. Great.
- 48:13Speaker 1: First of all, we've gotten all your your lab results
- 48:15Speaker 1: back everything, and I kind of got a few questions
- 48:18Speaker 1: for you guys that I'm a little puzzled on. How
- 48:21Speaker 1: long have you guys actually been married. We've been again
- 48:25Speaker 1: years okay, now, prior to being married three years. How
- 48:29Speaker 1: long did you guys know each other before you got married?
- 48:32Speaker 1: About five and a half five six years? Okay, you
- 48:36Speaker 1: guys have been knowing each other pretty close to nine
- 48:38Speaker 1: years now all together. Yeah, okay, are you actually from
- 48:42Speaker 1: the same hometowns? You grew up in the same hometown Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 48:46Speaker 1: we grew up. I mean if I'm I'm sorry, is
- 48:49Speaker 1: this question I mean, is this about the insurance or well,
- 48:52Speaker 1: I mean there's a two things that's that's actually uh puzzling,
- 48:56Speaker 1: Carmen that we need to this. This this is some
- 49:01Speaker 1: news I actually didn't want to bring you, guys. I mean,
- 49:03Speaker 1: we have to. I have to actually give you this news.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Looking at our records, looking at all the test results,
- 49:09Speaker 1: and let me be the first to tell you that
- 49:11Speaker 1: we run these results over and over and over, trying
- 49:14Speaker 1: to make sure we are completely a hundred and right. Okay,
- 49:18Speaker 1: it's a problem with the test. Well, looking at our test, guys,
- 49:22Speaker 1: Carvey Garment, it's indicating that you guys are related, and
- 49:28Speaker 1: nine times out it's end you are you guys are siblings?
- 49:34Speaker 1: Hold man, what and I understand the shot. It took me.
- 49:40Speaker 1: It took everything I had to make this phone call.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I did not want to make it. But looking at
- 49:44Speaker 1: our records, and we went over these records over and
- 49:47Speaker 1: over and and and the blood works tells us that
- 49:50Speaker 1: you guys are actually siblings. Man, help you you know
- 50:02Speaker 1: this is not that this is not a laughing matter,
- 50:04Speaker 1: not a joking matter. You know, Like I said, I
- 50:07Speaker 1: did not want to call with this information. What you
- 50:09Speaker 1: did make the call? Man? Look, I don't know what.
- 50:14Speaker 1: You need to go back and and and double check
- 50:17Speaker 1: your records or something because you've been married three brief
- 50:22Speaker 1: check with the laugh man, can you check with the
- 50:24Speaker 1: laugh and like paul Us back and Harvey and I
- 50:27Speaker 1: and I knew those questions would have come up, and
- 50:29Speaker 1: we we went over it. We went over it and
- 50:32Speaker 1: over and over it. Y'all need to go over again
- 50:35Speaker 1: because Babe, I got this. You make the call and
- 50:41Speaker 1: this gotta be wrong. So what you need to do
- 50:43Speaker 1: is make another call and called the lab and call
- 50:47Speaker 1: us back and let us know that you either thought
- 50:49Speaker 1: they made a mistake of are you talking about me
- 50:52Speaker 1: and my wife? And I understand it hard, Harry. Let
- 50:55Speaker 1: me ask you this is it possible? You know? And
- 50:57Speaker 1: this is just a question. Is it possible that your
- 51:00Speaker 1: dad and maybe her mom maybe knew each other at
- 51:03Speaker 1: some point? And what you're saying by my mom and
- 51:06Speaker 1: dad that that that's so straight? Look at you need
- 51:10Speaker 1: to have go back and do whatever you need to do.
- 51:12Speaker 1: But I think you like you say something like that again,
- 51:15Speaker 1: I tell you my back's gonna be coming down. That
- 51:16Speaker 1: beat you. I'm saying it like that. Hold on, baby, baby, baby, baby,
- 51:21Speaker 1: hold on baby, I got this. Hold on, I got
- 51:24Speaker 1: a baby. I gotta baby. I gotta how you're gonna
- 51:27Speaker 1: call me with you what you don't know? You from people?
- 51:30Speaker 1: Dude like that? But that ain't I don't I'm doing, sirs,
- 51:33Speaker 1: bringing you the result for I should bring me results
- 51:36Speaker 1: in personally. I do that. I wanted you. That's what
- 51:39Speaker 1: I'm talking about. Sorry, even if you beat the messenger
- 51:42Speaker 1: at the end of the day, that's still your sister.
- 51:45Speaker 1: At the end of the day, I'm gonna want you. Look,
- 51:46Speaker 1: I don't care what you're talking about. Nothing. He ain't
- 51:49Speaker 1: my damn brother got I'm gonna find out whatever jup
- 51:54Speaker 1: you in. You're gonna call me something about brother. It's
- 51:57Speaker 1: my wife. I'm calling that. Something done went on the line.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Somebody made a mistake, and you guys, my brother and
- 52:03Speaker 1: sister got married. I'm not at far for that. Let
- 52:06Speaker 1: me tell you that, don't you make the mistake of college.
- 52:09Speaker 1: He's in one of these numbers again and don't like.
- 52:11Speaker 1: So I got one more result. I do need to
- 52:14Speaker 1: get you what you've been talking about them else you
- 52:19Speaker 1: got to say? Now that's gonna be. Was the only
- 52:21Speaker 1: other touch resont I have, ma'am, is that this is

- 55:18Speaker 1: just like we're gonna do this one. Yeah, bugle up
- 55:20Speaker 1: and hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 55:21Speaker 1: It is a Strawberry letter. Thank you, neph you. Subject
- 55:25Speaker 1: is my husband jealous of my mom. Here's Stephen Shirley.
- 55:29Speaker 1: I've been married a little over a year, and the
- 55:32Speaker 1: consistent issue my husband and I have is he thinks
- 55:36Speaker 1: that I talked to my mom and hang out with
- 55:38Speaker 1: her too much. My mom is my best friend and
- 55:41Speaker 1: I am her only daughter. But I don't ever let
- 55:44Speaker 1: our relationship trump the relationship with my husband. I hang
- 55:47Speaker 1: out with my mom while my husband is at work,
- 55:49Speaker 1: and I make sure that i'm home by the time
- 55:51Speaker 1: he gets off, and I ensure that dinner is ready
- 55:54Speaker 1: for him and the house is clean. However, he still
- 55:58Speaker 1: has issues with me and my mom. He told me
- 56:00Speaker 1: that my mom calls me more during the day than
- 56:03Speaker 1: he does. If my phone even rings during our time
- 56:06Speaker 1: in in um quotations, um, and it's my mom, my
- 56:11Speaker 1: husband gets mad immediately. My husband says he's never been
- 56:14Speaker 1: in a relationship with a woman that lived in the
- 56:17Speaker 1: same city as her mom, so he's not used to
- 56:19Speaker 1: having to compete for time. But the funny thing is
- 56:23Speaker 1: that my mom and I were close like this before
- 56:25Speaker 1: we got married, and my husband knew it. Recently, I
- 56:28Speaker 1: have made changes and even told my mom not to
- 56:31Speaker 1: call me as much, but it's still not enough. He
- 56:34Speaker 1: never wants to go to her house, so I don't
- 56:36Speaker 1: invite him to go with me. My mom never talks
- 56:39Speaker 1: negatively about my husband, and we never really discuss our marriage.
- 56:43Speaker 1: I have several friends who have lost their mothers and
- 56:46Speaker 1: wish that they could have an opportunity again to spend
- 56:50Speaker 1: time with their mom. I don't want to that to
- 56:52Speaker 1: be me. I want to love, respect, and appreciate my husband.
- 56:56Speaker 1: But should I have to be distant from my mom
- 56:58Speaker 1: to keep him happy? Is this killing me? What should
- 57:01Speaker 1: I do? Listen, just keep doing what you're doing. I
- 57:06Speaker 1: think you're doing absolutely nothing wrong. You're being respectful to
- 57:09Speaker 1: both your husband and your mom. Uh, you have even
- 57:13Speaker 1: cut back time with your mom to appease your husband.
- 57:16Speaker 1: I'm just gonna tell you that I think your husband's
- 57:18Speaker 1: very immature. I think he's trying to control you and
- 57:21Speaker 1: control this situation. You said your husband knew how close
- 57:25Speaker 1: you and your mom were before your marriage, So what's
- 57:27Speaker 1: wrong now? Uh? You know, yes, he's most certainly jealous.
- 57:33Speaker 1: I think of your relationship with your mom. But but
- 57:35Speaker 1: why is that? Why is it? I mean, he won't
- 57:39Speaker 1: even get a chance to, you know, to go by
- 57:41Speaker 1: your mom's house to maybe to get to know her.
- 57:43Speaker 1: He might like her to, you know, and you could
- 57:46Speaker 1: all have a good family time together. Your mom sounds
- 57:49Speaker 1: like a sweet lady. You haven't said she's interfering in
- 57:52Speaker 1: your marriage, and you said she doesn't speak negatively about
- 57:55Speaker 1: your husband. You guys don't even discuss your marriage. So
- 57:58Speaker 1: police tell him in a nice way, to grow up
- 58:00Speaker 1: and that you're happy and blessed to still have a
- 58:02Speaker 1: mom to hang out with and it takes nothing away
- 58:05Speaker 1: from your marriage. Don't let him pull you away from
- 58:07Speaker 1: your relationship with your mom just to keep the peace.
- 58:10Speaker 1: That's not right. What he's trying to do Steve. First
- 58:13Speaker 1: of all, uh, this it sounds a bit petty and
- 58:22Speaker 1: a bit ridiculous. Uh. The first question I have I
- 58:27Speaker 1: wish I knew in the letter is how old is he?
- 58:31Speaker 1: But let's start with what he claims. The problem is,
- 58:37Speaker 1: you hang out too much with your mama. You're her
- 58:42Speaker 1: only daughter. You and your mom are best friends. You know. Look,
- 58:46Speaker 1: women have that relationship with their mothers. I know several
- 58:49Speaker 1: women who had that relationship with their mom. I also
- 58:54Speaker 1: know several women who wish they could have that relationship
- 58:58Speaker 1: with their mom. So, dog, you trip it. Here's what
- 59:05Speaker 1: she says. She said that he told her that, Okay,
- 59:12Speaker 1: first of all, you hang out with your mother doing today?
- 59:16Speaker 1: When he come home, he got a meal, the house
- 59:19Speaker 1: is clean. Damn dog? What you want? He said that
- 59:26Speaker 1: she calls me more. He told me that my mom
- 59:30Speaker 1: calls me more during the day than he does, and
- 59:35Speaker 1: she should. Dog, ain't you at work? Done? Dog? Ain't
- 59:44Speaker 1: you at work? What are you calling your wife that
- 59:51Speaker 1: many times about? And what are y'all talking about? Now?
- 59:58Speaker 1: Women have a lot more verbal relationship when they're in
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: a relationship with their friends than we have with our friends. Admittedly,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: so I don't call, no do every day? Chop it up? Well,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: I'm don't. Hey, man, you here, now, I got no
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: dude that I call every day. Women they it's her mother.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: They talk every day. It's okay, man, that her mama
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: called her more than you do. Her mama might not
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: be working. You're working partner. Then this girl had made
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: some changes and told her mom not to call as much.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: But even that ain't enough. He don't ever want to
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: go to her house. He jealous. You know what your
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: husband hobby? Your husband needs a hobby. He needs something
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: to do other than worrying about how much you and
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: your damn mama talking dog. You ain't got nothing else
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: to worry about. She's not talking to no no dude.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: She ain't spending time at work with her boss. She
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: talking to her mama. And you got a problem with
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: that dog. You need a hobby. Now, let me say
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: something to you. Ma'am here tripping because you hang out
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: with your mama. Didn't let me ask you, because who
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: can you hang out? Who can you hang out with?
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: If he got a problem with you and your mama,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: you bet not go get a friend. You you you're
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: not gonna be able to have no girlfriends. So now
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: that we understand that, let's get that out the way.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Now when we come back, please, this is time for
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: re enact Yes, yes, yes, all right, Steve, we're waiting
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: for the re enactment when we come back. We're assuming
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: that Jay it's gonna be the be the mom or
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: the or the wife. Alright. So today's strawberry letter, the
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: subject is, is my husband jealous of my mom? We'll
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: have part two of Steve's response and re enactment when
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: we come back at twenty three after the hour. Right
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the stew All right, let
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: me let's recap today's strawberry letters. Steve, the subject is,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: is my husband jealous of my mom? All right? And
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: this woman can't talk to her mama because her husband
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: say they talked too much. Now, she keeps a clean house,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: he's always got something to eat. But he said that
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: her mama called they talked too damn much, and that
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: distance got on his name. They don't need to be
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: talking this damn much. And here he don't understand what
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: this is for. So now his problem is you talk
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: to your mama too damn much. She needs a quick
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: calling here. Wow. Well, so all I think we need
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: to do is we need to just go on and
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: just see what's happening, because my names have been when
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: when we got to just just you just get him there,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: all right? Can't I'm Tanya and you on you you
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: can't be earl. That's too old, that sound. Hey, Dante,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: what's up? How are you doing? I just got a
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: phone with my mama. Was talking to my mama. You
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: got a phone who I don't but my mom talking
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: to my mom's wish came in. You you've been talking
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: to your mom again. But just about the third time,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: she calmed, she called earlier to day. I mean three times.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: My mama can't called the house really, seriously, three she
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: didn't call here three damn times. Sometimes I ain't called

- 1:06:13Speaker 1: let me just break it down. Give me three reasons
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: why my mama can't call him. Okay, one reason she
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: called here too damn much. Don't make sense what else
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: she got? The second reason she can't call hell because
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: she called Hill that take off time where we could
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: be talking. Don't make sense what else she got? And
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: then and then and then the third reason, Uh huh,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: I don't really care for your mother. Oh, let me
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: just say this. I know it's gonna hurt your live
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: feelings here come racist just because you don't like your mama.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Don't mean I haven't locked my mama. Okay, wait a minute,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: hold up, Hold up, where you get on like my mama.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: I love my mama. We just all the time, my mama.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Last summer, you ain't talk. That's how you posted to beat.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: I called my mama last summer, asked her how she
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: would do it. She said, fine, I hung up. I'm
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: gonna call again at Christmas. That's you induced me. And
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: then my mama want to talk to me on the phone.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: I'm on the damn you talk to your mama herey date,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: keep talking to your mom. You gonhead to live with
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: your mom my mama's gonna be the first. Oh oh oh,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: I see. Oh so now you rather live with your
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: mama than to live with your hug? I mean, dan
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: take and who the hell is you told me your
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: girl name with two back when you try to be
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: key sha, We stopped that. Then you went to tell
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: y'all said, okay, I'm gonna be early. Y'all said the
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: two worlds. I said, now you're gonna call me Earl.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: You know why you can't stay focused on the big
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: because you are not talking to your damn mom pull
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: back in media mad. He gets mad. We said we
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: couldn't you hear? I want mistake and Earl is from
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: the chad from the cha do what what should um?
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: She has a problem, you know, because what she needs
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: to do is she shouldn't sever her relationship with her mother.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: And I mean, and this man really needs to grow up.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: He really need to go to therapy because he needs
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: to find out what his problem is. Is he controlling?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Is he is he upset because he don't have relationships
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: like that nowhere? You know? He needs to find out
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: why he have a problem with a woman that's got
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: a relationship with her mama. This ain't one of her
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: girl friends or no dude down at the job. You
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: got a problem because she talked to her mama too much. Man, brother,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: you could spend that time be doing anything. All right,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Thank you, Tanya, Thank you, Dante. Very good. All right, guys,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: you can email us or instagram. What's your thoughts on
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter at Steve Harvey f M. Now coming
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: up in ten minutes. Stuff that people say who don't vote. Okay, yeah,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: but we want we don't want to hear this really
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: because we want you to vote. Okay, we do want
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: you to vote. Come on, you're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Steve, you're here now with stuff
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: people say who don't vote. You know what this this, this,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: this is not going to be funny. It's really ridiculous.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: These are ridiculous things that people say and reasons they
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: give for not voting. Here's the first one. My vote
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: don't count, yes, it does. Stop saying that. Here's another one.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Voting don't help anything. I got news for you. Voting
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: helps everything. If you don't vote, guess what we have
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: now we have president. Okay, here's another one. I don't
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: have nothing. To do with politics. Well, let's explain something
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: of you. Politics show got something to do with you.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Not because politics creates policy and policy it's what you
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: have to live by. No, that's good, that's good. Yeah,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Next I go vote. Then what food? Food? Then you voted.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: You made a difference. You send a message to New York.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: I mean, I mean to Washington. You sent a message
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: to the people who are elected officials. You send a
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: message to what you want and want. You send a
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: message for what you think, want and feel. That's right.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: That's what this is. Stuff people say who don't vote? Who?
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Here's another one. I heard, only stupid people vote. Excuse me,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: only stupid people don't vote. Let's stay with it, y'all.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to get you all to the post. Here's another.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: I don't feel like standing in that line. I'm pretty
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: sure that the man that Oprah described the Mosses father
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: didn't want to walk six miles, totally hit the wrong pole,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: walk another six miles, told he was at the wrong pole,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: and then walked the last six miles and told him
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: he was too late. I'm pretty sure that people didn't
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: want to get killed and hung for trying to vote.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure of a lot of things. So you
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: don't feel like standing in line. Oh but if it's
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: time to buy a lottery ticket, you got time for that.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: You want to go down there and get in that
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: line to ride the Stretch roller coaster, and that line,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: say forty five minutes from here, and you still in
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: that damn line. A lot of nerve. Yeah, you want
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: to get in line, get that new iPhone? Y'all lined
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: up for that? Say it Black Friday, the stores open. Yeah,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: this is These are things that people say. Who don't
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: bother to go to the polls on election day. They
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: already know, they know who they are. Yeah, yeah, my
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: vote doesn't matter. They already know who's going to win. No,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: you don't stop you see that's they already know who
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: they want to win. See, don't don't nobody know who
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: gonna win. That's why they count. See they have a
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: count all that no one knows who's going to win.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: We all thought Hillary was gonna win. Remember that's what
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: they all thought. Donald Trump thought, even he thought he
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: didn't believe he won. The Nick morm I got better
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: stuff to do. Well, if the right, if the wrong
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: people get in you won't You won't be able to
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: do this stuff that you want to do. Yeah, I
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: don't find anything about who's running. Excuse me, I didn't
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: find out anything about who's running, So I'm not gonna vote.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Where Wait a minute, First of all, where have you
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: been living? Uh? Get off the internet and watch the news.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: That's all everybody's talking about. It's the biggest news story
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: of the past three months, the mid terms. You ain't
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: got the here, okay, But to notice I don't like
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: the Democrats, Republicans or the Independence, Well, I got news
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: for you. I don't care for some of the people
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: in each one of those parties, but I do care
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: about the policies that they made, I do care about
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: the message they spread, and I do care about the
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: legacy that they leave. So what I would like for
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: you to do is get to the polls and vote.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Let's stop the excuses. Let's be adults here, because this
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: is important. You the last time you heard me barking
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: about voting like this, what's when Hillary Clinton was running
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: and I didn't vote and I didn't pump it this hard, right,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: But man on, man on man, this is way bigger
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: than when Hilly was running. Because you've got to create
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: a check and balance system up there in Washington, d C.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: And I'm the morning show guy on in in the
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: city that's listening to me right now, and I'm telling
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: you how important this is, man, And listen, I'm telling
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: you that you've got to get to the vote because
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: what they're really talking about doing to you. You're not
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: going like it, no, sir, And they're hiding it, but
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: you're not going to like it. The the economy is great.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: But the reason you don't feel the great economy that
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: this man had brought back, this manufacturing and job markets
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: is great and unemployment is is low because it doesn't
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: affect you. Because the the economy is great for rich
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: people right now, the economy is not great for poor people.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Well that's just thank you, Steve. That's just some of
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: the stupid stuff people say who don't go out and vote.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: So please don't let that be you. Get out and vote.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Get please. Yeah. All right up next, we're switching gears
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: big time. It's week nine in the Envy in NFL
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: and Pimpin will be in the build teen all right,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to all right here we are.

- 1:25:30Speaker 1: yeah good? This week I do good. Atlanta Falcon's beat
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: the washing the Redskins thirty eight to fourteen. They packed
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: that all right? Now, who did you pick with New
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: England and green Back? Okay? And tomorrow night. Tomorrow night
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: is a Tennessee Titan. What I'm sorry tonight is a
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans versus of Dallas Cowboys. He picked Cowe. You
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: know what, I don't really care for the Cowboys. But
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: then the Titans ain't one and nothing so and then
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: they got the new quarterback. I don't know who to
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: pick with that. I'm gonna quit pick in my heart
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: and I'm gonna just go with who got the skills play,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: and I'm gonna go with Dallas. Okay, you're gonna go
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: with Dallas. This is one. Itsels like queen pimps. I
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: see y'all later this week. Hey, I got to go
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: because I got just I'm being to drive to vote.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: I leave now, I know. I just like to drive
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: around the place in my callac so everybody can see me,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: and I gonna vote. Start wearing that funking fish coach,
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: and you don't tell me what the way? Hey, hey,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: hating Napoleon Poler. Of course you didn't have her baby, No,
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: she just revealed. You know, you're sitting up in here
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: dressed like cap'n Crunch anytime I said, and then you
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: want to be talking about me. You need to slow down, ponder.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: This ain't what you do. You ain't no pimp, ain't
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: been no pimp. You don't understand pimp game coming fishing
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: for see. You ain't got to understand that him. I
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: don't understand you're having no damn job even call you
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: what you gotta go, You don't get You don't get
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: to call me online. And when the catfish had called
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: me only you ain't you tripping? Damn? Why don't you
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: get some platforms? The Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Dave Chappelle
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: says his backing of Maryland gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous is
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: not a political Hollywood ploy because he's just doing what
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: he thinks is right. Dave said he's known been his
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: whole life and truly believes he's right for the job.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: He says, rather than tell people how to vote, he's
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: simply making them aware of Ben's campaign. M Yeah, I
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: mean yeah. Why are they saying it's a political ploy anyway?
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: I think they're trying to say, celebrities, right, right, let's
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: see what they need to do. Celebrities get one vote,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: celebrities had a right to right. You can't say to
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: a person just called a person is a celebrity, that
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: you're gonna do something else. You did you know? You
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: know that they don't have the right to do this
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: or do that. You can't say that they got mad
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: at Taylor Swift. Um I saw on Instagram today or yesterday.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: I think it was that she's supporting um Andrew Gill
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: him out of Florida for governor. You know, yeah, so
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: I mean, you know, like you said, Carla, they have
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: one vote, We all have one vote. And Hope said that.
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: She said she can do what she want to do.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: She can endure. She's a citizen of the United States.
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: You've got people running campaigns that who are they? As
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: a matter of fact, who is another? Okay, let me
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: ask you this. Who is the president to tell me
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: who to vote for? You already the president? So why
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: are you in this? And he's campaigning all over the country,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: you know what I mean? And running damn country right
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: campaign says he got in it. Yeah, yeah, he likes
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: doing that. That's what that's his favorite thing to do.
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: It seems the campaign, you know what, he had the
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: nerve to say. But he had the nerve to say that.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: Stacy Abrams, it's up against all Harvard graduate she's not
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: qualified to run for office. I went, she ain't qualified.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: Excuse me? You was on a TV ship. You ain't.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: You ain't ever served a single person in no capacity
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: an activist. You have been an Alderman councilman. Nothing, you're
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: not a lawyer? What man? Please exactly man? But he
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: said that I went everybody black with qualifications ain't qualified
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: when it comes to Trump because Obama right shut that
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: down stuff. He says, all was over qualified about him all.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: But can I ask you another question? Here's what's it
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: disturbing if he talking about he wants to change the
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: birth right Amendment, which means that if you were born
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: in this country by an illegal immigrant parents, that they
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: can rescind your citizenship. Half of this country is out.
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: But let me say this to you. His first wife
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: did not become a citizen and to nine, so that
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: means his children. That means his children would have to
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: go can't stay here? Yea yeah, Donald Trump Junior Ivanka Yeah. Alright,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: coming up our last break of the day. We're going
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: to close out the show you're listening to show. Here
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: we are Steve, last break of the day. Time for
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: some closing remarks. I cannot get off of voting. I
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: cannot tell you how important it is. I cannot elaborate,
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: stress point out, I can't overdo it. This is critical
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: that we vote. Listen, folks, we have got to send
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: a message that we are paying attention. We need to
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: let people know in Washington, d C. That we want
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: to be represented a certain way that we are not.
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: This country is ours, as flawed as it is, it's
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: ours and it's still the best country in the world
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: for us to live in. The opportunities are here, and
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: like I said, it's got some problems. I'll admit that.
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: But you know, look, at the end of the day,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: we still have to be better than we've represented ourselves
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: as right now by this forty five president, we have
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: got to show him and other people that we expect more,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: that your words do matter, that you can't just tell
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: us that you try to tell the truth whenever you can.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: I mean, he is so transparent, but that's not who
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: we are now. Man. You you hold the highest office
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: in the land. You are held to a different standard.
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: Why we lord the standard just to allow him to
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: become president is beyond me. Now, let's let me tell
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: you what I hear Republicans say that is true. He
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: has helped the economy. Okay, let's give him that. He's
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: bought manufacturing jobs, more manufacturing jobs to the United States.
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: Let's give him that. Let's let him take credit since
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: he is in office, that the unemployment ragis the lowest
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: has been in y'all, and there are jobs available. Let's
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: give him that. Okay, cool, let's give him that. But
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: if you're asking me if I would rather have that
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: in place of the divisiveness that we've seen in this country,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: the bipartisanship that I've seen in this country, the hate
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: being spewed to people who don't look like him across
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: this country, the stripping parents from their kids in this country,
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: the false impression that all immigrants are drug dealers and
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: criminals and rapists, that we've selected seven Muslim countries and
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: banned them from traveling into the United States. That's not
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: who we are. That's not who I am as a taxpayer.
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: That's not how you are as a taxpayer and a citizen. Okay.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: If that don't move you, how about this right here.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: How about the fact that there are some people who
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: are running who are willing to go up to Washington,
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: d C. And say, hey, enough is enough. Stacy Abrams
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: in Georgia, Gilliam or Gilliam down in Florida, EPs in Mississippi,
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: the guy that boat right, bart right, I don't know
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: his name, that's running against the tired crews in Texas.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: The guy in New York, the woman in Pennsylvania. It's
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: so many racist man, where people are going. Enough is enough,
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: And look, I don't care if you're Republican or you Democrat.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: At one point in time, you gotta look up there
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: and go, man, what did you just say? That is
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: so not cool that you use everything to make it
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: about you, that somehow these people who died in the
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: synagogue and the Kroger and these people have lost their
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: lives this past week. They slowed the momentum that you
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: all had in the Republican Party because you couldn't discuss
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: what you wanted to because you had to deal with
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: this and then you try to straighten it out. But
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: then you went right back and just said, you know what,
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: But they slowed the momentum. It's always about him, it
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: ain't ever about us, it ain't ever about you. This
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: is a dangerous time for us. You listen to him,
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: it's all ways about him. It ain't ever about us,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: it ain't about you. We got to get to the
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: polls and send a clear message man, that We're not
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: just gonna let you do what you wanna do for
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: the next two years. And if he make it these
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: next two years, man, that red wave gonna be serious. Man.
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: And they already have manipulated and gotten control of the
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: electorial system. Man, this dude gonna win again. Even if
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: he lose the popular vote, the electoral vote gonna get
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: him in again. We gotta send a message, man, We
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: got to vote. Everybody got to get out and vote.
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: President Obama said, this is the most critical vote of
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: our lifetime. We got to get out and make it happen, y'all,
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: no excuses. That's right. Tomorrow we vote, yes, yes, sir,
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: drop it, baby, drop it, Drop them votes. That's right,
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: drop those votes. Wow, that was good. Yeah, it's important.
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: Election tomorrow, tomorrow, get your vote. Have a great weekend.
