- 2:11Speaker 4: Ain't God been good to me? But then again, ain't
- 2:14Speaker 4: he been good to you? Two? Though?
- 2:16Speaker 7: I mean really, man, think of all the blessings God
- 2:18Speaker 7: has given you.
- 2:20Speaker 5: You know what?
- 2:21Speaker 4: That's a good news today, though, y'all.
- 2:23Speaker 7: In the face of the world being the way it is,
- 2:27Speaker 7: the evilness that's out there, it just it just seems
- 2:30Speaker 7: like that's all that's on the news sometimes. You know,
- 2:32Speaker 7: we got we got news of parents not really standing
- 2:35Speaker 7: up being parents. We got news stories of children turning
- 2:38Speaker 7: on their parents. You got, you got everything, the economy,
- 2:42Speaker 7: you got places you thought used to be beautiful places
- 2:46Speaker 7: to go. Now they got travel alerts it's just it's
- 2:49Speaker 7: all over. It's it's all over. But the good news
- 2:52Speaker 7: is there's something that you can have in this relationship
- 2:58Speaker 7: with God that gives you a way to deal with
- 3:03Speaker 7: it all. And I'm not saying that it'll protect you
- 3:07Speaker 7: from every single thing out that is happening, because some
- 3:09Speaker 7: things are going to happen to you. You're going to
- 3:13Speaker 7: be in an accident from time to time. You're going
- 3:16Speaker 7: to make a mistake and fall down from time to time.
- 3:19Speaker 7: But man, wouldn't it be incredible to you for you
- 3:23Speaker 7: if you understood that you had some insurance in all
- 3:26Speaker 7: of this that no matter what happened to you, you
- 3:30Speaker 7: know you will covered. You know, look, insurance companies as
- 3:33Speaker 7: good as they are, you know, like our friends that
- 3:35Speaker 7: stay Farm or any other insurance company you know, they do,
- 3:39Speaker 7: they do some amazing things. Insurance is a really really
- 3:42Speaker 7: good thing to happen in the event that something happens
- 3:45Speaker 7: to you.
- 3:46Speaker 4: You know, you may not want to pay the premium,
- 3:48Speaker 4: but guess what in the.
- 3:49Speaker 7: Event that something happens to you, that insurance is absolutely critical.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Well, but guess what they cover certain things.
- 3:57Speaker 7: You could get life insurance, you can get auto insurance,
- 4:01Speaker 7: you can get accident insurance, you can get health insurance.
- 4:05Speaker 7: There is nothing that you can buy to safeguard you
- 4:10Speaker 7: against life's decisions. You know, if you make a mistake,
- 4:15Speaker 7: if you cheat, if you lie, if you if you
- 4:21Speaker 7: fall down and you can't seem to get it together,
- 4:24Speaker 7: and you make a crazy decision about how you're gonna
- 4:27Speaker 7: go about securing an income, that there are There are
- 4:30Speaker 7: no policies you can buy for that. You can't buy
- 4:33Speaker 7: a policy if you stop being the man you're supposed
- 4:38Speaker 7: to be, and and and and give up on your children.
- 4:41Speaker 7: You can't buy a policy if something happens as a
- 4:45Speaker 7: mother and all of a sudden you're not the mother
- 4:47Speaker 7: you're supposed to be. But there is some insurance coverage
- 4:51Speaker 7: out there for you. And that relationship that you form
- 4:55Speaker 7: with God, that friendship that you form with help, that
- 4:59Speaker 7: that alliance, that that partnership, that prayer that you put
- 5:05Speaker 7: in all the time, there is an insurance policy that
- 5:10Speaker 7: you have taken out when you form a relationship with
- 5:13Speaker 7: your heavenly Father, when you form a friendship, when you
- 5:16Speaker 7: form a bond that protects you, that protects you when
- 5:22Speaker 7: these things happen. In the event that they happen. Now
- 5:25Speaker 7: here's a great thing about prayer. Prayer can head off
- 5:29Speaker 7: some stuff from happening. It really really can. Prayer can
- 5:33Speaker 7: prevent some things from happening. You know, I'll give you
- 5:36Speaker 7: an example in my life. Okay, here we go, because see,
- 5:39Speaker 7: see it's the best way for me to do it.
- 5:41Speaker 7: Because see, what I don't like to do is talk
- 5:44Speaker 7: to people without letting them know. Hey, look I'm in
- 5:46Speaker 7: this hole with you. I feel where yet? Okay, here
- 5:49Speaker 7: we go. I was making some decisions a few years
- 5:54Speaker 7: ago because what I thought I was doing was counterbalancing
- 5:58Speaker 7: something that was happening here in my life. You know,
- 6:02Speaker 7: I thought that since I wasn't happy or well for
- 6:07Speaker 7: whatever the reason I thought I wasn't happy, if I,
- 6:10Speaker 7: as wrong as I am, wanted to blame somebody else
- 6:13Speaker 7: from my unhappiness. That's really if I make a bad
- 6:17Speaker 7: decision because I'm thinking I'm unhappy with somebody, Holy pardon too.
- 6:22Speaker 7: Wrongs don't make it right, and I make a decision
- 6:25Speaker 7: to do something wrong, and now the consequences come when
- 6:29Speaker 7: I do something wrong. See then that I already know,
- 6:33Speaker 7: as an intelligent thinking man, as most of you are,
- 6:36Speaker 7: that when you do something wrong that you know, there
- 6:40Speaker 7: is a consequence for that. I teach that to my sons.
- 6:43Speaker 7: When you do something wrong, there is a consequence. So
- 6:46Speaker 7: as an adult, I fully understood the consequence. And so
- 6:49Speaker 7: what I was doing was I was making some decisions
- 6:53Speaker 7: that was causing some consequences in my life, that was
- 6:56Speaker 7: delaying my happiness, delaying my progress, causing my business not
- 7:01Speaker 7: to go the way it could go, so forth and
- 7:04Speaker 7: so on. Well, what I started doing was I took
- 7:07Speaker 7: out this insurance policy called Prayer, and I started putting
- 7:11Speaker 7: it in my mix on a daily basis. And then
- 7:13Speaker 7: I started putting it in my mix, you know, two
- 7:15Speaker 7: three times a day. And then I found myself using
- 7:18Speaker 7: it all the time. And then I really started putting
- 7:22Speaker 7: it in when I didn't need any help, when I
- 7:24Speaker 7: wasn't in trouble, I started putting insurance in. I started
- 7:27Speaker 7: making deposits into the bank. I started paying my premiums down.
- 7:32Speaker 7: And Prayer is like a premium, you just pay into it.
- 7:36Speaker 7: Then when situations started coming up, now that Prayer that
- 7:41Speaker 7: I had put in, that in those premiums I had
- 7:43Speaker 7: paid it started preventing me from making the decisions I
- 7:47Speaker 7: was making in the past. Thus I didn't have to
- 7:50Speaker 7: suffer the consequences. Thus my businesses didn't have to be
- 7:54Speaker 7: delayed in this progress because I had put some payments
- 7:58Speaker 7: on some premiums taking out an insurance policy.
- 8:02Speaker 4: With my life my real life.
- 8:05Speaker 7: I'm talking about your life where you make your day
- 8:07Speaker 7: to day decisions in I'm not talking about see life.
- 8:10Speaker 7: Insurance is only good if you die. God has a
- 8:14Speaker 7: policy that's available that's available for you. Why are you living?
- 8:19Speaker 5: See?
- 8:20Speaker 4: In order for an insurance policy to pay, something bad
- 8:23Speaker 4: got to happen.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Now.
- 8:25Speaker 4: There may be some others out there I don't know
- 8:27Speaker 4: nothing about.
- 8:27Speaker 7: But all the ones I got my car insurance, they
- 8:31Speaker 7: only come into play if I have an accident. I
- 8:34Speaker 7: have an accident insurance policy where if something happens to me,
- 8:38Speaker 7: I got accident, I got My voice is covered in
- 8:42Speaker 7: case something happened to that. I got that, but I
- 8:45Speaker 7: got to not be able to talk to cash that one.
- 8:47Speaker 7: You understand everything I got homeowner's insurance. Don't nothing show
- 8:52Speaker 7: up on my homeowner's insurance unless it's a flood, a fire,
- 8:57Speaker 7: of felt. Something bad got to happen for my insurance
- 9:01Speaker 7: to even make sense. When you take out the policy
- 9:05Speaker 7: with your heavenly Father. When you pay the premiums of prayer,
- 9:10Speaker 7: and that's all it costs.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Man, It ain't you.
- 9:12Speaker 7: Ain't got to have no money for this policy I
- 9:15Speaker 7: put into the policy. It pays me dividends and benefits
- 9:22Speaker 7: for living. Ain't nothing got to go wrong for me
- 9:26Speaker 7: to cash in on this policy. I use this policy
- 9:31Speaker 7: for good things. I give you example. I use this
- 9:35Speaker 7: policy to ask God to watch over my family when
- 9:39Speaker 7: I travel, make the decisions to pay your premiums in prayer,
- 9:43Speaker 7: Talk to your heavenly Father, get you some insurance in
- 9:46Speaker 7: your life.
- 9:47Speaker 4: And when you have little things like that, keep on stepping. Man.
- 9:50Speaker 4: God loves you.
- 9:51Speaker 5: Man, Man, I show hope you talk to God today,
- 9:54Speaker 5: because guess what He shure would like to hear from you.
- 9:56Speaker 4: That's for sure.
- 9:57Speaker 2: You're listening to the seed morning shall.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:01Speaker 8: You know what.
- 10:02Speaker 4: It's a new day, a new week, another chance, another opportunity.
- 10:06Speaker 4: God is good.
- 10:07Speaker 7: I show I am appreciative of it. I really really am.
- 10:10Speaker 7: I'd of got myself together.
- 10:11Speaker 5: I was in a little hole for about ten days
- 10:14Speaker 5: and let myself get a little caught up in something,
- 10:16Speaker 5: and I just decided to give it over to God,
- 10:19Speaker 5: let him drive.
- 10:21Speaker 4: I done took the sails down on the ship and everything.
- 10:24Speaker 7: I'm gonna let the winds blow me where they gonna
- 10:26Speaker 7: blow me because God trying to send me somewhere. I'm
- 10:29Speaker 7: just going with it. I'm ride and die with somebody
- 10:31Speaker 7: that ain't ever been late or failed me yet. That's
- 10:34Speaker 7: a fact.
- 10:35Speaker 5: Know that.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Y'all.

- 21:09Speaker 7: a pink slip, Yeah, this ain't text.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Should say that.
- 21:17Speaker 2: The whole word, the whole word.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Yes, that's right, yes, all.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Right, coming up next as the clo are chief love officers.
- 21:29Speaker 7: Hey, look, you can't let the urge to sing your
- 21:31Speaker 7: favorite songs while you're driving distract you from that truck
- 21:35Speaker 7: drifting toward your lane or that lane splitting.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Vikar creeping up beside you.
- 21:40Speaker 7: Fortunately, every Hondai offers advanced safety features that can alert
- 21:44Speaker 7: you to potential dangers around you.
- 21:46Speaker 5: That's right, because Hondai is always working to ensure the
- 21:49Speaker 5: road doesn't get you. Hondai vehicles have won over one
- 21:52Speaker 5: hundred and twenty IIHS Top Safety Awards from two thousand
- 21:56Speaker 5: and six to twenty twenty four as of December twenty
- 21:59Speaker 5: twenty four.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we will
- 22:02Speaker 1: recap the NAACP Image Awards show and former VP Kamala Harrison.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Kamala Harris's acceptance of the Chairman's Award. Her speech was
- 22:13Speaker 1: out of this world do sent emails to federal employees
- 22:17Speaker 1: that threaten their jobs? And Delta Airlines is offered thirty
- 22:20Speaker 1: thousand dollars each to passengers aboard the flight that flipped
- 22:24Speaker 1: on the runway.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Remember that, Well, that's all coming up. Yeah, that's all
- 22:28Speaker 2: coming up, thirty thousand dollars. We'll talk about it.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all coming up at the top of the hour.
- 22:36Speaker 1: But right now it is time to ask the clo.
- 22:40Speaker 1: This is from Lachelle in Chicago. Lachelle writes, I'm forty
- 22:44Speaker 1: seven and my husband is fifty two. We've gone from
- 22:47Speaker 1: having sex four or five times a week to twice
- 22:50Speaker 1: a week. He said, it's normal to take breaks so
- 22:53Speaker 1: that we don't get bored. After almost twenty years of marriage.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Why does he need a break all of a sudden,
- 23:01Speaker 1: that's what we want a lot.
- 23:04Speaker 5: You gotta understand something. I don't know why he needs
- 23:07Speaker 5: to break. Your man ain't what he used to be.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Ooh, he's fifty two.
- 23:12Speaker 7: Uh yeah, oh, fifty two. Ain't like when you was
- 23:16Speaker 7: twenty two. Yeah, no, no, it's a difference. You know,
- 23:22Speaker 7: women go through changes in life. You know, there's mental palls.
- 23:26Speaker 7: There's different things that women have that's uniquely there. Men
- 23:30Speaker 7: had him things too.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Now hormonal issues. Yeah, as you age, I don't know.
- 23:35Speaker 7: You call it whatever you want to call it. Just
- 23:37Speaker 7: you ain't what you was, homie. I promise you that.
- 23:41Speaker 7: Me and pauls too.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, he's just and then twenty some years. Let
- 23:53Speaker 4: me say this here. No they gonna say they go ahead.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Shut You can't say that.
- 23:58Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no no right.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Moving on to Bricelyn coming out of Tampa, Briceland, says,
- 24:06Speaker 1: my wife and I met in the strip club nine
- 24:09Speaker 1: years ago. I don't think our eight year old daughter
- 24:13Speaker 1: needs to know that my wife was a bartender, not
- 24:16Speaker 1: a stripper. So why does she feel it's funny or
- 24:19Speaker 1: cute to add strip club to the story.
- 24:22Speaker 9: Is that necessary? By the way, Yeah, strip club, nor.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Your daughter about a strip club eight years old'll be
- 24:36Speaker 1: find I ain't don't like it.
- 24:38Speaker 4: They'd be fine. Everybody in there working on tips.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Ain't nothing wrong with it too. Yeah, you got to
- 24:49Speaker 2: think this strip part out, strip club part out. That's
- 24:55Speaker 2: what her husband.
- 24:56Speaker 4: It was a bartender that just woll chaps.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Hey, you know that's how you know this.
- 25:04Speaker 4: Back in the day, a waitress. She was, She had
- 25:06Speaker 4: on chaps, she got all this. It was in Miami.
- 25:11Speaker 5: It was in Miami.
- 25:13Speaker 8: In I.
- 25:16Speaker 10: All right, you want to move all two that night?
- 25:27Speaker 10: You like it when she coming, you love me when
- 25:29Speaker 10: she leaves?
- 25:31Speaker 6: All right?
- 25:32Speaker 2: This is from my moving on. This is from Curtis
- 25:34Speaker 2: in Louisville, Curtis Rights. I washed my girlfriend's car often.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Saturday was muddy outside and her floor mats were filthy.
- 25:43Speaker 1: She said she let her son use it. I told
- 25:45Speaker 1: her to let her son wash it. Then she said
- 25:47Speaker 1: it looks better when I do it? Am I expected
- 25:50Speaker 1: to clean up after her son?
- 25:52Speaker 2: Wow?
- 25:53Speaker 5: Well, dog, dog, don't listen to me to quick categorize me.
- 25:59Speaker 5: You wash your girl girl's car for who had it?
- 26:03Speaker 5: Look these women they raise these kids different. Now, this
- 26:08Speaker 5: this generation right here of young men. Whoo man, it's
- 26:13Speaker 5: it's different.
- 26:14Speaker 7: And I can tell even at my minoring camp from
- 26:16Speaker 7: ten years ago, the average kid that comes to the
- 26:20Speaker 7: camp is different. And we got a minium different.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Man.
- 26:22Speaker 5: We can't take the same approach anymore.
- 26:25Speaker 7: So she may not even this boy may not have chores, duties, responsibilities, nothing.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Now, what you know, what you need to.
- 26:33Speaker 7: Do is have a cool relationship with the guy and say, hey,
- 26:36Speaker 7: my man, why don't you help your mom out? It
- 26:38Speaker 7: would be real noble of you to do that for
- 26:40Speaker 7: your mom. If you take a car to return it
- 26:42Speaker 7: the way you got it, it could be a teaching
- 26:44Speaker 7: moment for you without being too forceful.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Like you because you.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Ain't his dad, you know, and y'all ain't married, y'all
- 26:49Speaker 5: just her girlfriend. That's just your girlfriend.
- 26:52Speaker 7: But if you've been washing her car, then you know
- 26:55Speaker 7: you don't want to wash the car because the boy
- 26:57Speaker 7: had it, Because you won't you want to know why
- 26:59Speaker 7: he's not and the responsibility. And I understand that one
- 27:02Speaker 7: hundred percent, but may not you know she yeah, you know,
- 27:07Speaker 7: she say you do it better. She liked the way
- 27:09Speaker 7: you do it. Now, if you don't want to do
- 27:10Speaker 7: a car, then that's you started doing that, you know.
- 27:14Speaker 7: But I think maybe y'all just say, my man, you
- 27:16Speaker 7: know what you ought to do when you take your
- 27:18Speaker 7: mom's car, You ought to give it back to it
- 27:19Speaker 7: the way she had it. That would be the cool
- 27:21Speaker 7: thing to do. And I ain't coming at you with
- 27:23Speaker 7: no disrespect, and just see if you can give him
- 27:25Speaker 7: that moment.
- 27:26Speaker 2: He ain't gonna take that feeling.
- 27:27Speaker 4: But you know you need.
- 27:30Speaker 2: You do know his mom a dirty car?
- 27:33Speaker 7: Yeah, well see that boy driving age. You don't know
- 27:37Speaker 7: if he's twenty two, twenty four, you don't know who
- 27:40Speaker 7: had a car. You're afore the young as boy gets stumped.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Now you're real fast because you're gonna be ready for
- 27:45Speaker 4: it turn. Yeah, you know, I'm trying to keep it
- 27:48Speaker 4: from turning.
- 27:51Speaker 5: He could be seventeen, he could be young.
- 27:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 2: But I like the fact that you said it is
- 27:55Speaker 2: a teaching moment for the boyfriend.
- 27:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Cool, like that yeah, hopefully that's what it will be.
- 28:02Speaker 5: Some gas in there.
- 28:03Speaker 7: Yeah, and you could get out there with him and go, hey, man,
- 28:05Speaker 7: we're gonna do this together and then oh, now, no, man,
- 28:09Speaker 7: put the soap on there like that, then risk it off.
- 28:11Speaker 4: You know, you could do it like that.
- 28:13Speaker 7: It could be a moment to build a relationship with
- 28:15Speaker 7: him because it looked like you're trying to stay with
- 28:16Speaker 7: this girl because you're doing stuff for.
- 28:20Speaker 6: Nice.
- 28:21Speaker 2: All right, good answers stilough. I like that one last night,
- 28:24Speaker 2: last one. Yeah.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Anitra in Montclair writes, my boyfriend asked if he could
- 28:31Speaker 1: bring a friend on our date. His friend was in
- 28:34Speaker 1: down for the weekend. I got so mad that I
- 28:37Speaker 1: canceled our date. Why can't he leave his friend for
- 28:40Speaker 1: a few hours to take me to the movies? Am
- 28:42Speaker 1: I acting like a spoiled brat?
- 28:45Speaker 7: I think you might have missed a moment here his
- 28:50Speaker 7: homie come in town. What we like to do is
- 28:52Speaker 7: we like to show off what we have. And you
- 28:56Speaker 7: could have missed a moment because I think he might
- 28:58Speaker 7: have been trying to show you off, and you might
- 29:02Speaker 7: have missed the moment because he has no other reason
- 29:07Speaker 7: to want to take his friend than to show you off.
- 29:11Speaker 7: That might have that might be what you missed. You know,
- 29:15Speaker 7: you could have missed that moment. It wasn''s just one date.
- 29:19Speaker 4: It ain't that bad, you know, it just ain't.
- 29:22Speaker 5: That bad for sure.
- 29:23Speaker 2: She didn't say if it was a male or female?
- 29:26Speaker 2: Does that make no.
- 29:28Speaker 7: Way in hell that could the ain't no way to
- 29:29Speaker 7: she'd have put that in a female or female take
- 29:33Speaker 7: her on the date.
- 29:34Speaker 4: He can't be that stupid. There's no way he could.
- 29:42Speaker 2: He's that stupid because she didn't say she just said
- 29:45Speaker 2: a friend.
- 29:49Speaker 7: No, she would have put female friend in that. And
- 29:51Speaker 7: you can't bro she in town. He gonna bring her
- 29:55Speaker 7: on a date. Man, that's so stupid. Now we're talking.
- 29:58Speaker 7: He's stupid.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Now, Yeah, she just said, why can't he leave the
- 30:05Speaker 2: friend for a few hours?
- 30:07Speaker 4: All right?
- 30:08Speaker 1: All right, Colo, thank you great. It's for great responses today.
- 30:12Speaker 2: I loved him. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 30:15Speaker 2: we'll have some entertainment news for you. Right after this.
- 30:18Speaker 2: You're listening to the Dave Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Well, the fifty six annual NAACP Image Awards were live
- 30:27Speaker 1: Saturday night from Pasadena. Dion Cole was the host In
- 30:31Speaker 1: mc light narrator. Yeah, very great job for the night.
- 30:36Speaker 1: As usual. Morris Chestnut let a tribute for the residents
- 30:39Speaker 1: of Los Angeles that lost their homes in the recent fires,
- 30:43Speaker 1: and Vice President Kamala Harris was given the Chairman's Award,
- 30:47Speaker 1: and her acceptance speech credited the NAACP for the groundbreaking
- 30:52Speaker 1: work the organization has done for years, and then she
- 30:55Speaker 1: spoke to the current state of unrest in the United States.
- 30:59Speaker 11: Take a listen, because you see, our power has never
- 31:03Speaker 11: come from having an easy path. Our strength flows from
- 31:10Speaker 11: our faith, faith in God, faith in each other, and
- 31:17Speaker 11: our refusal to surrender to cynicism and destruction. Not because
- 31:25Speaker 11: it is easy, but because it is necessary. Not because
- 31:31Speaker 11: victory is guaranteed, but because the fight is worth it.
- 31:37Speaker 11: And while we have no illusions about what we are
- 31:41Speaker 11: up against in this chapter in our American story, this
- 31:48Speaker 11: chapter will be written not simply by whoever occupies the
- 31:54Speaker 11: Oval office, nor by the wealthiest among us. The American
- 32:02Speaker 11: story will be written by you, written by us, by
- 32:09Speaker 11: we the people. I thank you, God bless you, and
- 32:17Speaker 11: God blessed.
- 32:17Speaker 2: The United States of America dropped the mic empowering power
- 32:27Speaker 2: pretty much.
- 32:28Speaker 4: Miss anybody right now I missed. Yes, hell man, this
- 32:39Speaker 4: is crazy.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Yeah, so you said, exhausting d divide the hatred all
- 32:46Speaker 1: right for the next four years? Okay, Tyler Perry six,
- 32:51Speaker 1: Triple eight one Movie of the Year, and Key Key Palmer,
- 32:55Speaker 1: Key Key Palmer won Entertainer of the Year awards. She
- 32:59Speaker 1: won that and I was so thrilled. Yeah, it was
- 33:01Speaker 1: a surprise, I think, I thought, what did you think,
- 33:04Speaker 1: Cynthia Rivo? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But Kicky Palmer well deserving,
- 33:11Speaker 1: So congratulations to her and Dave Chappelle.
- 33:14Speaker 2: And the Wayan's family, all of them. It was a
- 33:17Speaker 2: great night, great night.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Moving on.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Thousands of federal employees were threatened by DOGE this weekend.
- 33:25Speaker 1: That is the course of the Department of Government Efficiency
- 33:28Speaker 1: run by Elon Musk. Saturday evening, Elon Musk, the head
- 33:32Speaker 1: of DOGE, tweeted, all federal employees will shortly receive an
- 33:36Speaker 1: email requesting to understand what they got done last week.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.
- 33:46Speaker 5: What Yeah.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Then the emails were sent to employees across federal agencies
- 33:55Speaker 1: with the subject lined what did you do last week?
- 33:58Speaker 1: The email asked that employees were applied with five bullet
- 34:01Speaker 1: points summarizing what they accomplished at work last week and
- 34:05Speaker 1: to copy their managers. The email also gave employees until
- 34:09Speaker 1: midnight tonight Monday to respond. According to Yahoo, it's unclear
- 34:15Speaker 1: if Jose can legally terminate the workers.
- 34:19Speaker 7: What why do we keep talking about what's legal?
- 34:25Speaker 4: Yeah, when this administration does what they want.
- 34:28Speaker 6: To do, that's true.
- 34:29Speaker 5: Yeah, a fact, there's a lot of illegal stuff. Yeah,
- 34:34Speaker 5: he did a lot of stuff for he got in office.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Now that's what you got.
- 34:40Speaker 4: Listen to me.
- 34:41Speaker 7: Rich people don't care what the law is and the
- 34:44Speaker 7: rule is. They try to find ways around that to
- 34:48Speaker 7: accomplish what they want to accomplish. If the rule of
- 34:50Speaker 7: the law is prohibiting or getting in the way of
- 34:53Speaker 7: what they want to do or accomplish, then they find
- 34:55Speaker 7: a way to get around it, go through it. They
- 34:57Speaker 7: look for a loophole, They hire expensive lawyers, and they
- 35:01Speaker 7: find a way, and they go about their business.
- 35:05Speaker 4: That's that's how they do business.
- 35:07Speaker 2: And that's the world in which we live right now.
- 35:10Speaker 2: That's it.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Finally, the Delta Airlines flight that slipped over and caught
- 35:17Speaker 1: fire upon landing in Toronto, remember it happened about a
- 35:20Speaker 1: week ago.
- 35:20Speaker 2: We talked about it.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Well, there were eighty people on board, okay, counting crew members.
- 35:26Speaker 1: There were no fatalities, miraculously, praise the Lord. Delta Airlines
- 35:31Speaker 1: has since offered to pay the passengers thirty thousand dollars
- 35:37Speaker 1: for an approximate payout of two point three million in total.
- 35:41Speaker 1: The compensation amount sparked controversy. Yeah, total, in total, total, Yeah,
- 35:47Speaker 1: each each passenger will get thirty thirty thousand dollars. People
- 35:52Speaker 1: saying thirty thousand dollars is not enough money for what
- 35:55Speaker 1: the passengers went through. I mean, they were flipped over,
- 35:58Speaker 1: hanging like bats. So so what do you guys think?
- 36:02Speaker 1: Thirty thousand would you take it? Would you not take it?
- 36:06Speaker 4: I'm not taking that.
- 36:08Speaker 5: With the Supreme Court, with my case, I ain't taking
- 36:11Speaker 5: nothing and I'm injured.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because yes, there's.
- 36:16Speaker 4: No way you flipping this plane over and I'm not injured.
- 36:20Speaker 3: No.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Well, here's thirty thousand dollars. Okay, here's thirty thousand dollars.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Look at that fig let's.
- 36:25Speaker 5: Start at two point five three mini, let's.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Start this the total of what they wanted.
- 36:30Speaker 7: Well, listen to me, if you're in a car accident.
- 36:34Speaker 7: Somebody's gonna get a checked out of a car accident.
- 36:36Speaker 7: That's the country we live in. How can you possibly
- 36:40Speaker 7: think an airplane can flip over? Because whatever it was,
- 36:43Speaker 7: it was none of the passenger's faults.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Right, okay, thirty thousand, Okay, that's what you get.
- 36:49Speaker 4: I thought I had Jeff feud on me, but it
- 36:52Speaker 4: was just it was my feud.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Anyway, coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, listener,
- 37:00Speaker 1: need some help on how to talk to a woman.
- 37:02Speaker 2: If we'll get into it right after this. You're listening

- 37:54Speaker 1: to get a twenty four year old lady's attention. He's
- 37:57Speaker 1: twenty two, the lady is twenty four. He wrote, I
- 38:01Speaker 1: might be trying to date a lady that is out
- 38:03Speaker 1: of my league. I don't know what to say to her, Tommy,
- 38:07Speaker 1: he says, I usually break the ice with jokes, but

- 38:23Speaker 2: She doesn't think he's funny, but apparently he thinks. No,
- 38:27Speaker 2: don't stop saying that he's only twenty two.
- 38:32Speaker 7: Yeah, bruh, that ain't that? Ain't that ain't the same
- 38:35Speaker 7: inroad don't work with everybody. H were going in there
- 38:39Speaker 7: with jokes and she don't. She don't think you funny?
- 38:42Speaker 7: Could it be she's correct.
- 38:45Speaker 2: What if she doesn't have a sense of humor and
- 38:47Speaker 2: he is fine turned off already?
- 38:50Speaker 7: Uh huh yeah, but if she thinks you silly, you
- 38:55Speaker 7: can't going there with some more of these damn jokes, though,
- 38:58Speaker 7: what's the difference?

- 56:18Speaker 1: It is Girlberry letter nephew, Thank you. Subject my daughter
- 56:22Speaker 1: in law and my sons. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a
- 56:26Speaker 1: sixty four year old married man and I have two sons.
- 56:30Speaker 1: My wife and I are retired and we enjoy spending
- 56:33Speaker 1: time with our three grandchildren. Our oldest son got married
- 56:37Speaker 1: six years ago and I used to love his wife.
- 56:40Speaker 1: She's been a part of our family for ten years.
- 56:43Speaker 1: My wife and I spent a week with my son
- 56:45Speaker 1: and his family for Christmas. I got up early one
- 56:48Speaker 1: morning to meditate and get my coffee while the house
- 56:52Speaker 1: was still quiet. As I walked into the kitchen, I
- 56:55Speaker 1: could hear my daughter in law in her office on
- 56:58Speaker 1: the phone. I heard her say, your parents took the
- 57:03Speaker 1: kids to the mall yesterday. It kind of threw me
- 57:05Speaker 1: off because she could only be talking to my other son.
- 57:09Speaker 1: I never mentioned it to my wife. When Christmas Eve,
- 57:13Speaker 1: my daughter in law left her phone in the kitchen
- 57:15Speaker 1: face down. It kept on vibrating, so my wife flipped
- 57:20Speaker 1: flipped the phone over to see whose phone it was.
- 57:23Speaker 1: She said she saw back to back text from our
- 57:26Speaker 1: younger son, who just turned thirty. She thought maybe he
- 57:31Speaker 1: was trying to pop up and surprise us for Christmas.
- 57:34Speaker 1: I thought to myself that might be why my daughter
- 57:37Speaker 1: in law was talking to him.
- 57:39Speaker 2: That morning.
- 57:40Speaker 1: Christmas Day came and we all face timed with our
- 57:43Speaker 1: younger son, who said he had no plans of joining us.
- 57:47Speaker 1: I was really puzzled by that point. It all came
- 57:50Speaker 1: out last week when my younger son came home and
- 57:53Speaker 1: said he had to talk to me. He told me
- 57:56Speaker 1: that he had a flame with my daughter in law.
- 58:00Speaker 1: She drove for four hours to see him, and over
- 58:04Speaker 1: the course of that weekend they had six three times.
- 58:08Speaker 1: He said it was terrible, and he told her it
- 58:11Speaker 1: will never happen again, but she won't leave him alone.
- 58:14Speaker 1: I am not equipped to handle this. Do I encourage
- 58:18Speaker 1: my son to tell his a big brother about what
- 58:20Speaker 1: he did to his wife? Or should I stay out
- 58:23Speaker 1: of this?
- 58:24Speaker 2: Well? Of course I think you know the answer to this. Dad,
- 58:29Speaker 2: This is all terrible.
- 58:30Speaker 1: First of all, it's bad on both parts, your younger
- 58:33Speaker 1: son for betraying his blood brother and of course wifey
- 58:37Speaker 1: for her slimy behavior. And you know that could possibly
- 58:40Speaker 1: break up this family and Dad, you shouldn't have to
- 58:44Speaker 1: be equipped to handle this.
- 58:45Speaker 2: No one is equipped to deal with this kind of foolishness.
- 58:49Speaker 1: No, you shouldn't tell your older son, and neither should
- 58:52Speaker 1: your younger son. If this ever gets out, it will
- 58:55Speaker 1: start a family feud like no other. Your younger son
- 58:59Speaker 1: needs to stop all communication with this woman his sister
- 59:02Speaker 1: in law, meaning, stop texting her, stop answering her calls,
- 59:06Speaker 1: all of that. They got to stop this. Please tell
- 59:10Speaker 1: him that, I mean, just tell him that so he
- 59:13Speaker 1: can move on. Leave her, try to put this behind
- 59:17Speaker 1: him and move on if he can, because if the
- 59:19Speaker 1: sun finds out, this is gonna be a mess right here.
- 59:22Speaker 1: It already is, and I just don't understand why he
- 59:26Speaker 1: would do that to his brother and why she would
- 59:28Speaker 1: do it and possibly break up a family between two brothers.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Steve, I'm confused.
- 59:36Speaker 7: I'm very confused. Okay, you all have heard the letter
- 59:40Speaker 7: that Shirley just read. You heard Shirley's response. Here's my confusion,
- 59:45Speaker 7: and it's not directed at Shirley. It's directed at things
- 59:50Speaker 7: I've heard women say. This is what I've heard women
- 59:55Speaker 7: say throughout the course of my life. If this is
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: my friend, I would tell my friend if she was
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: my friend. Let's say a woman saw a man cheating
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: on one of her girlfriends. I've heard the woman say,
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: if she was my friend, she would tell them. I've
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: heard women say I would want to know. I've heard
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: women say she's my friend, I have to tell her.
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: I'm just saying I've heard these things that may not
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: apply to every woman, but I've heard this a lot,
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: and I think you all will admit you've heard that too. Now,
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: based on that right there, now, let's go to Shirley's response.
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: Shirley says she knows that this father knows the answer
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: to this, and he has got to stay out of
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: this because no one is equipped for this. I'm looking
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: at both sides of this letter now because I really
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: don't know how to respond quite yet. So now, ladies,
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: let me get this right. If someone was cheating on you,
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: you always say you would want to know. And then
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: women always feel a lot of times, not all women,
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: but a lot of women feel like it is their
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: obligation to tell their friend what they saw. We have
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: letter after letter after letter about this conflict that you
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: all are facing. So in this letter right here, is
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: it because they are men that they should leave it alone,
- 1:01:20Speaker 7: let it go? Is it because he is the father
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: and these are his sons. I do understand Shirley's concerned
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: that this could break up the family because it's a
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: betrayal of the younger son who betrayed his big brother.
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: That is the foulest of this. Yeah, for sure, that's
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: the foulest of all of this. Yes, that is your brother.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: I don't care what does chick come to you with.
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: This is my brother. Yeah, this is my brother. So
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: to me, the young boy is the foulest.
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: Now is the wife, the daughter in law, the sister
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: in law spank absolutely.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Gobba like trash I mean straight trash man.
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: And now all of this falls in the lap of
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: the father because a young boy is so tossed up.
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: They gotta have a great relationship because he take it
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: to his dad. When we come back, I still don't
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: know what I'm gonna say.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve, we'll have part two of your response
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour Today's
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Strawberry letter subject my daughter in law and my sons.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: All right, let's go. Come on, Shirley, what you got.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: I don't know if you know this, but I love
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: my job. We have a great time at work every day.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Well, if you're a business owner and you want to
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: hire experienced employees who love what they do too, where
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: do you find them?
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Could be a question you had. Well, Zip recruiter is
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: the answer.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: You've gotta have the right people around you.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Zip recruiters technology shows your job to qualify candidates immediately,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: and zip recruiter smart technology finds top talent fast.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: Okay, now that's some good advice.

- 1:03:20Speaker 1: it for free. That ZipRecruiter dot com slash Strawberry.
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: Steve Harvey Nation, go check it out now, All right, come.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: On, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter. This is a
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: wild one right here. My daughter in law and my sons.
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: That's this man sixty four years old.
- 1:03:38Speaker 7: And he's got two sons and the oldest son is
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: married to a woman for over ten years.
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: They have three grandchildren.
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: He absolutely adored this woman, and then he heard her
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: having a conversation one morning he got up to half coffee.
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: She was in her office and got up and heard
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: her talking to someone on the phone and said, your
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: parents took the grand kids to the mall today, which
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: meant she He thought, you could only be talking to
- 1:04:05Speaker 7: the oldest son, you know, or or one of his sons.
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: So because they only had the two kids. All right,
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: fast forward, they over there. They're expecting everybody home for Christmas.
- 1:04:18Speaker 7: Phone rings that's on vibrate. It's some messages and texts
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: from the youngest son to the daughter in law. Now
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: Dad is confused and then thought, well, maybe he was
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: trying to surprise everybody to get on the FaceTime on Christmas.
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: Come to find out he wasn't coming at all.
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: Finally, the young boy talks to his sixty four your
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: old dad and say, Dad, I need to talk to you.
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: I got a problem. This woman, the daughter in law,
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: my brother's wife, drove to see me for four hours.
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: We had sex three times. It was terrible. It was terrible,
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: and he told her it'll never happen again, but she
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: won't leave him alone. And the man is saying, I'm
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: not equipped to handle this. To do I encourage my
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: son to tell his big brother about what he did
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: to his wife. See listen to that sentence, doog do
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: I tell my son to tell his big brother about
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: what he did to his wife. Wow, that is the
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: most powerful statement in this whole letter for this man.
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: Because he's a man, He know what that older boy
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: gonna feel or think, and he knows this could blow up.
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: Because it's going to blow up because the young the
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: oldest son is going to be destroyed on both sides.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: My wife betrayed me, but my little brother did too.
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: I had an incident that happened to me a long
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: long time ago, and somebody lied and said my brother
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: did it to me.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: When I call my brother, I was handling this situation.
- 1:05:58Speaker 7: But when I call and I charged, which my brother
- 1:06:00Speaker 7: was doing it to me, and I was so upset
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: man talking to my brother because all I kept saying, brah,
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: not you man, bruh, not you DoD. I'd take this
- 1:06:14Speaker 7: for anybody, but dog you broh. My brother finally got
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: so I hung up.
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: I went home.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: I was distraught.
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: Finally somebody came and saying, Man, I talk to you brother.
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: Let me tell you what happened. He said, but you
- 1:06:26Speaker 7: was just holling and he couldn't get your listen. Turned
- 1:06:28Speaker 7: out my brother didn't do it at all. The part
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: that crushed me mostly was I thought it was a
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: betrayal of my brother. And I could take it from
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: anybody else, but not my brother. Not my brother man,
- 1:06:39Speaker 7: because we was raised to take care of each other. So,
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: Dad of sixty four years, I don't really know what
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: to tell you. I really really don't. I have three sons.
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: If this happened in my family, I would be really, honestly,
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: to be honest with you, I'd be feeling the way
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: you are and I wouldn't know what to do. But
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: I'm a father, so I gotta do something. You can't
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: just let it lay you can't. But bruh, I don't
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: know how to handle this because this right here can
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: go south so fast, so fast, and the injury that
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: could be cause to your oldest son, it's one that
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: may not be repallable. Your wife betrayed me, who's the
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: mother of my children? And my little brother betrayed me. God,
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: I don't know. I don't know what to say. I
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: talked to this little trifling girl.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: The daughter in law.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Yeah, as the father, you're saying, you talk to the
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: daughter in law, you wouldn't let her know that you know.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I know what didn't happen.
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: And what I want you to do is fix itving. Yeah,
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: just bounce, say you don't want this no more, don't
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: destroy my sons. Just gonna bounce and leave. But she's
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: not gonna do That's well, she's not gonna bounce and
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: leave without the destruction because if she's that type of person,
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: she gonna think, well, I ain't gonna be the only
- 1:08:24Speaker 7: one hurting mm hm.
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: Also, you're gonna protect.
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: Your sons, well, I'm gonna I find you want me
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: to blow my family up, I blow your family up too.
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: That's why I don't know what to say. I truly, well,
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: this is the first Strawberry Letter that has completely stomped
- 1:08:41Speaker 7: me because I really just don't know what to say.
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: I would have to I would really have to pray
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: about this because I don't have an answer. I just
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: don't have an answer. Man, this is horrible, beyond anything.
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: But I'm so disappointed in my younger son. Boy, you
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: didn't thank for one minute.
- 1:09:03Speaker 13: This is my brother. This is my brother, man bride,
- 1:09:08Speaker 13: come on, oh man, that would yeah, break my heart.
- 1:09:14Speaker 13: It would either way.
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: It's bad.
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: That would break my heart because I got three sons.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: All right, Thank you.

- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Here here here were the multiple choices, just for fun.

- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Get this right? Or else?
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: It's a couple though. Now, yeah, I don't know what
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: you're talking about. Most iconic role? What you don't you
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: don't say?
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: No, no, yes, Tommy who played Prince a Kim and
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: Coming to America? Come on, guys, who could that be?
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: Randy Rady?
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: These were so easy, all right, thank you. Coming up,
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: who is one of the kings of comedy that's on
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: this show?
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, A young
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: woman needs some advice. Who's a single woman and never
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: had a real job. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: This one is from Shaye and Nashville. Shay says, I'm
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: a twenty five year old single woman and I've never
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: had a real job. My dad said, I'm his responsibility
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: until another man takes me off his hands. My mom
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: is nagging my dad about making me find a job
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: and move out of our home. She told me that
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: I need to be more independent. But she married my
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: dad when she was twenty two and he was forty
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: two and has not worked a day in her life.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Why is mom even in this well?
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: For starters?
- 1:14:04Speaker 7: No for starters that your mama probably know you ain't
- 1:14:09Speaker 7: got no prospects on the board, ain't like y'all got
- 1:14:13Speaker 7: to please line up and you picking from it. Your
- 1:14:16Speaker 7: mama has watched you not have a choice, you don't like,
- 1:14:20Speaker 7: you don't have any suitable suitors, and plus, ladies, there's
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: nothing wrong with learning how to take care of yourself
- 1:14:27Speaker 7: in the event that you have to take.
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: Care of yourself.
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: If your whole goal is to be dependent on a man,
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: you even get used up a couple of times.
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: So no, I think, why is she in it? Because
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: she's trying to prepare you because life don't go the
- 1:14:47Speaker 7: way you want it to do. No, I mean, life
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: don't go the where you want it to. Life just
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: goes life. And if you don't know, and if you
- 1:14:55Speaker 7: don't never learn how to go with the flow, then
- 1:14:59Speaker 7: you're gonna be in some serious trouble. So I think
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: your mom is absolutely right. Now you could sit there
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: and not work and not get in twenty five and
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: you ain't never worked.
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: Okay, I ain't good.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: But times are different now than when her mom was
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: twenty two.
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: Absolutely okay, let me ask you a question. Tell me
- 1:15:19Speaker 7: the time period where you don't need no money?
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: Yeah? What that time?
- 1:15:28Speaker 5: Man?
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: Surely?
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: Oh, there is no time when you don't need any money.
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: Okay, So she's question.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Well, her dad said he she's his responsibility, so he
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: should take some.
- 1:15:45Speaker 7: No, she is his responsibility because he's made her his responsibility,
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: so therefore she is what she has done. Is she's
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: taken advantage of it and the mama tied of it?
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: Yeah for sure.
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: Yeah, you're sitting up in here like the princess car.
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: Well yeah see right, yeah, Well you need a child, daddy.
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: I need a new car.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Okay, baby, you're my responsibility.
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: Daddy. I need a new bike.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: You damn show do a bike.
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: So you're saying that she needs to get out and
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: find her own job. You agree with the mom, not
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: the dad as a dad.
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: I don't know what you're sitting there waiting though, faith
- 1:16:37Speaker 7: for our works is dead? Next question, all right, we do.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Have time for another one, Steve. This is from Antoinette
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: and Meridian. Antoinette says, I've been married four years and
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: I still haven't met my in laws. We talked on
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: the phone maybe once a month, and that's it now.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: When I finally asked my husband to take me, he
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: admitted that he was ashamed of where he grew up.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: That's not good enough. That's not a good enough excuse
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: because he's already got me hooked and married. So what
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: could be so bad about his home and his family?
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Is he hiding something from me?
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: Huh? Yeah?
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah?
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: What is he hiding his failed that house nast.
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: That oh he know how they are he okay, yo,
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: you might leave him after this?
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: That bad?
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: Is that bad? Yeah, there's some people back at that house.
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: He didn't come to the wedding.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: They didn't come to the wedding.
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: She said, they came to the wedding. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:40Speaker 7: oh no, oh no, they just got married.
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: Yeah he didn't. He didn't invite them or nothing. He
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: knew then.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: Married for four years. She's never met them.
- 1:17:50Speaker 5: That is crazy.
- 1:17:51Speaker 7: I know she should have, unless like one of Tommy's pranks.
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: He don't want to meet them because if you find
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: out Tina's real name, your wife, tina real name is
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: to Reil, that might come out.
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: Oh that's one of Tommy And.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: You know, we'll lot more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Show coming up at twenty minutes after. You're listening to
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Getting on a plane has
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: been really stressful these past couple of weeks.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: We've been watching the news. How about this.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: You're waiting to board your flight and a massive fight
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: breaks out at the terminal. Come on, at the terminal,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: a massive fight breaks out. It happened Friday evening around
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: five pm. Yeah, right at the gate at Atlanta's Hartsville
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Jackson Airport.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: It's all caught on video. Guys.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: The footage shows a large number of people, male and female,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: frenching and kitching each other, kicking each other, and this
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: was a massive brawl at the gate, standing on furniture, yelling, cursing.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: Now the yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Cops were called.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: They were called in, but by the time they got there,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: the suspects and victims, all of them were gone. So
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: we don't even know why they were fighting. That's a

- 1:19:17Speaker 1: airlines this was.
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: Oh we damn so know what means?
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: Which one? What gay area?
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: What? What?
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: You know exactly what this was?

- 1:25:05Speaker 7: Yeah, remarks. This is something that I had to come
- 1:25:10Speaker 7: to terms too. I think I've been sharing with you all.
- 1:25:13Speaker 7: I was just been going through something over the past
- 1:25:15Speaker 7: couple of weeks, and I found myself not taking my
- 1:25:18Speaker 7: own advice, and I forgot to look at my track
- 1:25:22Speaker 7: record because I'm human, you know. I forgot to think
- 1:25:25Speaker 7: of all God has brought me through. My wife reminded me,
- 1:25:28Speaker 7: she said, Steve, let me ask you something. Has God
- 1:25:30Speaker 7: ever been too late? And wow, he ain't. God ain't
- 1:25:35Speaker 7: ever showed up late. That's crazy, man. And but I'm
- 1:25:39Speaker 7: grateful I got somebody in my life that reminds me
- 1:25:42Speaker 7: of stuff. But I was going through some other things too,
- 1:25:45Speaker 7: and trying to learn remember the trust in his timing.
- 1:25:50Speaker 7: But as I was going through it, I learned something too.
- 1:25:54Speaker 7: And you know, I've been criticized publicly and you know,
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: because of my statue in life, and nobody likes it.
- 1:26:07Speaker 7: But you know what I've learned of late, and I
- 1:26:09Speaker 7: want to share it with you. I learned it for myself.
- 1:26:13Speaker 7: I heard somebody say a form of it, but I
- 1:26:16Speaker 7: kind of change it around. And so I'm gonna give
- 1:26:18Speaker 7: you something that I want everybody to focus on because
- 1:26:21Speaker 7: everybody has to know this information at one point.
- 1:26:24Speaker 8: Me.
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: If you're not, it's if it's not happening to you now.
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: It has happened to you in your past, and it
- 1:26:31Speaker 7: will happen to you again. But you know what I
- 1:26:34Speaker 7: really learned. Stop taking criticism from people you don't take
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: advice from. Stop taking criticism from people you don't take
- 1:26:52Speaker 7: advice from.
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: Man, this hit me like a sludge hammer.
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: Why am I allowing you to criticize me when you
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: ain't even nobody I would take advice from.
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: Slow your role, y'all. Pull this thing in perspective. Listen
- 1:27:08Speaker 4: to me.
- 1:27:09Speaker 5: I was being criticized publicly, do you know, and the
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: person that was criticizing me, you know what I had
- 1:27:14Speaker 5: to realize. And I want you all to take this
- 1:27:16Speaker 5: message because you have to. You can apply this to
- 1:27:18Speaker 5: whoever you are. It ain't got nothing to do with frame, money,
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: none of that. It got to do with life situation
- 1:27:23Speaker 5: and them critical haters that come at you. I had
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: to ask myself, I had to realize about this man.
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: You are not who I want to be.
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: You not.
- 1:27:37Speaker 7: You have nothing I want. You don't You've done nothing.
- 1:27:44Speaker 7: I admire nothing. I have really got technical. You ain't
- 1:27:50Speaker 7: even accomplished nothing that I've accomplished. You've done nothing that
- 1:27:54Speaker 7: I've done, but your study criticizing me and honestly you
- 1:28:00Speaker 7: really not even in my league. And guess what, you
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: really don't know me. I just I'm done with it.
- 1:28:08Speaker 7: And I want you to think about that. Stop taking
- 1:28:12Speaker 7: criticism from people you don't take advice from, because if
- 1:28:18Speaker 7: you think about it, oftentimes the person that's criticizing you,
- 1:28:22Speaker 7: you know what, you know what really makes you look
- 1:28:24Speaker 7: upside their head like you're saying to yourself, you got
- 1:28:27Speaker 7: the nerve?
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: Who are you?
- 1:28:30Speaker 7: You ain't nothing I'm expiring to be. You've done nothing
- 1:28:33Speaker 7: I admire, You have nothing I want. You don't really
- 1:28:37Speaker 7: know me, man, it's just crazy, man, and y'all, I
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: just want y'all to accept what I'm saying to you
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: because it can be so helpful. Stop taking criticism from
- 1:28:51Speaker 7: people you don't take advice from. And you know, I
- 1:28:55Speaker 7: really know who I would take advice from, and it's
- 1:28:57Speaker 7: very few people. But who allow someone who don't even
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: know you, who ain't got your sale number, who you
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: don't even aspire to, You don't even admire Them's nothing
- 1:29:10Speaker 7: about them you admire. They don't even have anything you want.
- 1:29:15Speaker 7: But you're taking criticism from them, but you drinking it though,
- 1:29:18Speaker 7: and you wearing it, and you letting it affect you.
- 1:29:21Speaker 7: But this is the same person you would not take
- 1:29:23Speaker 7: advice from. That don't make no sense. I am so
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: done with that. I am so you know, and I've
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: been done with it, but I just didn't know how
- 1:29:31Speaker 7: to verbalize it. But when I found this way to
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: verbalize it, I said, Man, I just want to share
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: it with people. Stop taking criticism from people you don't
- 1:29:40Speaker 7: take advice from. If you don't give, if you don't
- 1:29:43Speaker 7: have nothing you can advise me on, you ain't even
- 1:29:46Speaker 7: in the position in your life.
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: I want to be in most of You.
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: Are really far better off and further ahead than most
- 1:29:58Speaker 5: people that are criticizing you, if you technically think about it.
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: Think about it for real.
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: The people who are the loudest in your life that's
