A 59-year-old Minnesota man, William Rhea, is facing serious felony charges after allegedly chatting online with a minor he thought was 15, sending explicit messages, nudes, and even his own selfie to confirm his identity. The case escalated when he traveled to Cherokee to meet an undercover deputy, openly asking to “hookup, baby doll” and revealing his hotel. Now charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, grooming, and sending obscene material, Rhea posted bond but has a July 14 preliminary hearing looming.
