- 2:09Speaker 3: one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show. Thank
- 2:13Speaker 3: God for it all the time.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Too.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Well, here we go today. I want to share something
- 2:18Speaker 3: with you that will help you because it's helped me.
- 2:23Speaker 2: You know.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I was.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Telling the story once that in this magazine called Rob Report,
- 2:31Speaker 3: that there was a statue I used to see for years.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I started buying Rob Report magazines years ago. So I
- 2:40Speaker 3: just wanted to see what affluent people did, you know,
- 2:43Speaker 3: just wanted to see what people with means did, what
- 2:47Speaker 3: type of investments they did, what they bought, you know,
- 2:50Speaker 3: where they traveled to the Rob Report. It's just like
- 2:52Speaker 3: a it's like a big boy toy magazine. You can
- 2:56Speaker 3: see what cars is out and I didn't have money
- 2:59Speaker 3: for none of it. I was dreaming, though, you know,
- 3:01Speaker 3: I just wanted to see. And there's a statue inside
- 3:07Speaker 3: this magazine of this man who was coming out of
- 3:11Speaker 3: this bronze rock. And he was completely bronzed, and he
- 3:15Speaker 3: was muscular, and you know, he didn't look nothing like me,
- 3:19Speaker 3: but he was a man coming up out of a rock.
- 3:21Speaker 3: And he had a huge hammer and a chisel in
- 3:24Speaker 3: his hand. And as his body from the waist up
- 3:28Speaker 3: was coming out of this huge piece of stone, you
- 3:30Speaker 3: could see where it was him who had been chiseling
- 3:33Speaker 3: in forming himself. So the name of the statue was
- 3:37Speaker 3: self made man. And for years man, I said, Man,
- 3:41Speaker 3: I'm gonna get a big house one day, and I'm
- 3:43Speaker 3: gonna put that statue in the backyard in the corner.
- 3:46Speaker 3: That's gonna be my little spot where I go chill,
- 3:49Speaker 3: because I'm a self made man. Well, after years of
- 3:53Speaker 3: working at becoming somebody and having reached a degree of success,
- 4:03Speaker 3: I would have nothing to do with that statue. There's
- 4:07Speaker 3: nothing about that statue that appeals to me anymore, because
- 4:11Speaker 3: on my journey and in my quest to become what
- 4:15Speaker 3: I thought would be this self made man where I
- 4:18Speaker 3: could put this statue and had this statue in the
- 4:21Speaker 3: corner be kind of cold symbolizing it.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I made it.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I realized on my journey there's no such thing as
- 4:28Speaker 3: a self made man. That we all need help, and
- 4:32Speaker 3: that God places people in our paths along the way
- 4:37Speaker 3: that benefit us oftentimes. And it's the most unlikely person
- 4:42Speaker 3: often times, and it's the most unlikely way that He
- 4:45Speaker 3: presents these people.
- 4:46Speaker 2: In front of you. It's crazy how he does it. Man.
- 4:49Speaker 3: And so this is a statue now that I look
- 4:52Speaker 3: at and I go, I see what the creator was saying.
- 4:55Speaker 3: And that's cool, but not not for me, because I
- 5:00Speaker 3: needed help. And I've learned a lot of things like
- 5:03Speaker 3: this along the way. And the part I wanted to
- 5:07Speaker 3: share with you all about this is you've got to develop.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You've got to develop a sense of purpose. You have
- 5:16Speaker 3: to develop a sense of purpose. That's different. See, your
- 5:20Speaker 3: purpose is created for you by God, because when He
- 5:28Speaker 3: created you as an individual from whatever two parents you
- 5:32Speaker 3: may have, that's not important here. When he created you,
- 5:37Speaker 3: he had something in mind for you, and it was
- 5:41Speaker 3: a purpose. God has not created a single soul to
- 5:44Speaker 3: become a criminal. God has never created a single soul
- 5:48Speaker 3: to be a drug dealer. This came about through some
- 5:51Speaker 3: decisions we made as sinners, and we stayed in that place.
- 5:58Speaker 3: But see what He created us. He has a wonderful
- 6:02Speaker 3: idea for us. But God gives us human beings this
- 6:05Speaker 3: thing called choice, and we have the power to decide.
- 6:09Speaker 2: So you can decide if you're going to adhere to
- 6:11Speaker 2: the purpose.
- 6:12Speaker 3: That God created you and made you for, or you
- 6:15Speaker 3: can go ahead and make some choices on your own.
- 6:19Speaker 3: So like, if God wanted to give you a life
- 6:21Speaker 3: and give it to come to you and give you
- 6:22Speaker 3: life more abundantly, and that's his promise if you come
- 6:25Speaker 3: to him.
- 6:26Speaker 2: If you choose him, then cool.
- 6:29Speaker 3: But if you say, well this ain't moving along fast enough,
- 6:32Speaker 3: I'm gonna get my own life of abundance, I'm gonna
- 6:34Speaker 3: start slinging. Well, guess what now, Tada, You made a
- 6:39Speaker 3: decision and seek God's decisions and choices. The one thing
- 6:43Speaker 3: I learned about them, God's decisions, choices, his voice, It
- 6:47Speaker 3: has no sin in it. And it amazing how many
- 6:50Speaker 3: people it came up to you and said, the Lord
- 6:52Speaker 3: wanted me to do this to you, and I'm doing it.
- 6:54Speaker 3: That God is punishing you. And I'm doing this to
- 6:57Speaker 3: you because God gonna see that you get your day.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Who who is this person?
- 7:01Speaker 3: Who is this person that God all of a sudden
- 7:05Speaker 3: gave this authority and power to God didn't get at
- 7:07Speaker 3: the nobody, man, nobody, This person only had the right
- 7:11Speaker 3: to hold you to your past, the right to make
- 7:14Speaker 3: you pay. So who makes them pay when they make mistakes?
- 7:18Speaker 3: Because they all make them. So when I say you
- 7:22Speaker 3: have to have a sense of you have to develop
- 7:24Speaker 3: a strong sense of purpose. That means you have to
- 7:27Speaker 3: strongly get in touch with your creator to find out
- 7:29Speaker 3: what the purpose you were created for. See, it's two
- 7:33Speaker 3: things that I had to learn along the way. My
- 7:36Speaker 3: career was what I was paid for. My calling is
- 7:41Speaker 3: what I was made for. See, it's two different things, folks.
- 7:46Speaker 3: It took me a long time to learn it. Some
- 7:48Speaker 3: people think.
- 7:50Speaker 2: That they calling is to be a performer.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Well, that's what you paid for, and a big part
- 7:56Speaker 3: of your life is your performance. It's tied directly to
- 7:59Speaker 3: your gift. But what you made for though, what you
- 8:03Speaker 3: made for is to bring about some significant change in
- 8:06Speaker 3: another human beings lives because we are all linked together
- 8:10Speaker 3: in this chain.
- 8:11Speaker 2: That's what you are here for.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Everybody has a purpose to do something wonderful, meaningful, or
- 8:18Speaker 3: impactful for another person. You think the God that invented
- 8:22Speaker 3: the airplane was merely inventing the airplane so he could fly. Now,
- 8:28Speaker 3: his purpose was to become an inventor, to come up
- 8:32Speaker 3: with this invention.
- 8:33Speaker 2: So he could fly and we all fly.
- 8:36Speaker 8: See.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Sometimes God will make you successful so you can become successful,
- 8:40Speaker 3: so you can turn around to teach other people how
- 8:42Speaker 3: to become successful. God save people, so you can turn
- 8:46Speaker 3: around it tell other people how wonderful it is to
- 8:48Speaker 3: be saved. You see how this thing work. That's what
- 8:52Speaker 3: we have to do as people. And it's nothing that
- 8:55Speaker 3: we have to go and discover. We have to go
- 8:57Speaker 3: and develop it. But if you haven't discovered your purpose,
- 9:00Speaker 3: it's simply because here's it. If you haven't discovered your purpose,
- 9:05Speaker 3: it's simply because you have not contacted the creator and
- 9:11Speaker 3: maker of your soul to ask and find out why.
- 9:17Speaker 2: You were created. It's as simple as that.
- 9:23Speaker 3: If you buy a toyota, there's an owner's manual on
- 9:28Speaker 3: the inside that will tell you everything you know how
- 9:32Speaker 3: to best operate your toyota, how to make it work.
- 9:36Speaker 1: What to do.
- 9:37Speaker 2: They got a troubleshooting section.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Your faith is the same thing as an owner's manual
- 9:43Speaker 3: in your car. Open up that book, man, find out
- 9:47Speaker 3: how to jumpstart your life, how to troubleshoot it and
- 9:51Speaker 3: get on with your life, and find out your purpose
- 9:53Speaker 3: and develop a strong sense of purpose.
- 9:56Speaker 2: All right, Okay, here.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen, your attention is required, just for a
- 10:07Speaker 3: brief moment. I don't know if you realize it or not.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I did, and I'm pretty sure you have too. But
- 10:12Speaker 3: he did it again. That God has done it again.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Another day, another blessing, another opportunity, another shot, another crack
- 10:21Speaker 3: at it, and man for him to give it to
- 10:24Speaker 3: you and you to be here for it a nothing
- 10:26Speaker 3: but a gift from God.
- 10:28Speaker 9: Man.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I thank him for that.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry call it for real,

- 11:37Speaker 3: complimenting me, but it was an insult to me. He
- 11:41Speaker 3: was talking about how great I was in one aspect,
- 11:43Speaker 3: and then he said, I'm telling y'all how well he doing.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Look at him sitting over here with this salmon suit on.
- 11:48Speaker 3: And I said, whoa, whoa, brother, this is not soundon.
- 11:57Speaker 3: And then I laid back this this play of pimp
- 12:02Speaker 3: pink that what this salmon? I remember jay Z was
- 12:09Speaker 3: getting in the car one time and they said, jay Z,
- 12:11Speaker 3: he look shot with that pink suit. He said, this

- 13:09Speaker 3: Your aging well, you know, I told them on stage,
- 13:11Speaker 3: I said, you know, I'm on the other side of
- 13:13Speaker 3: the culture. You know, we got to change some things.
- 13:15Speaker 3: But it's gonna be up to y'all to change. I said,
- 13:18Speaker 3: because I'm a year and a half from being seventy.
- 13:22Speaker 3: And then I leaned back and said.

- 22:59Speaker 5: about my man from about a man from my past,
- 23:02Speaker 5: and then I ran into his sister. She said he
- 23:05Speaker 5: still talks about me, so I should call him. I
- 23:08Speaker 5: called to say hi, and all he talked about was
- 23:10Speaker 5: how good the sex was. He wants to see me?
- 23:13Speaker 5: Does he only want sex?
- 23:16Speaker 2: Yes?
- 23:16Speaker 5: Really yes, really yes.
- 23:20Speaker 3: And my next question, you were what was your dream about?

- 23:48Speaker 2: D them on.
- 23:51Speaker 1: And he says, I want to see you. Yeah, I
- 23:54Speaker 1: want to see you. What what you where you? Where

- 24:03Speaker 1: Yeah, please please all right.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Moving on to Gino and Lansing, Gino writes, I tried
- 24:09Speaker 5: to be romantic by showing up at my girl's job
- 24:12Speaker 5: with flowers and chocolate covered strawberries. I found out she
- 24:16Speaker 5: got fired a month ago. She said it's no big deal,
- 24:19Speaker 5: but to me it is because I want a future
- 24:22Speaker 5: with her. Is she a big liar? Can I trust her, Well.
- 24:27Speaker 2: You can still have a future. What does she just
- 24:29Speaker 2: ain't gonna.
- 24:29Speaker 5: Be working, that's all?
- 24:38Speaker 2: Bruh?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Who says she was a big liar? Is she your girlfriend?
- 24:42Speaker 3: She didn't tell you she got fired. She didn't tell
- 24:46Speaker 3: you that. Maybe she was embarrassed, maybe trying to look
- 24:49Speaker 3: for another job, get back home somewhere. Didn't want you
- 24:52Speaker 3: to think ill of her. You tried to surprise and
- 24:55Speaker 3: now you found out. Now your next move is to
- 24:57Speaker 3: have a discussion about it, you know, just say, hey,
- 25:00Speaker 3: look what happened. You could have came to me. You know,
- 25:02Speaker 3: I'm willing to share these moments with you. I'm not
- 25:05Speaker 3: gonna leave you because you're not working, you know. And
- 25:08Speaker 3: then boom had that conversation that might not What does
- 25:12Speaker 3: she lie about? She just didn't tell you she got fired?
- 25:15Speaker 2: What?
- 25:16Speaker 1: Why is he so suspicious though?
- 25:18Speaker 2: You think me I'll lie to you?
- 25:20Speaker 1: So what would you at lunch? I was at lunch
- 25:28Speaker 1: when you came by with the flowers in the candy?
- 25:31Speaker 1: What you came to my job?
- 25:34Speaker 2: Which one you got to?
- 25:39Speaker 1: He's got multiple jobs?
- 25:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I do a minute. Which which one did you
- 25:44Speaker 2: come to?
- 25:44Speaker 1: Because oh, I wasn't there that day? Yeah, but.
- 25:51Speaker 3: That said hold on call came through. Hello, leaven Wine Hires,
- 25:57Speaker 3: a law firm. How can I help you?
- 26:02Speaker 1: We said you don't work here anymore.
- 26:05Speaker 3: No, this is not that's I'm asking the phone and
- 26:07Speaker 3: all the job. That's why I wasn't down there. And
- 26:10Speaker 3: I can't be talking to you on this phone right
- 26:12Speaker 3: here because because these folks will get rid of me.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Now.
- 26:16Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to talk to you later. That's all
- 26:19Speaker 3: quick with good, I'm quick with mine.
- 26:24Speaker 1: How do you live with yourself? Okay?
- 26:28Speaker 5: Moving on to Drinka and Camden, Drinker writes, I needed
- 26:32Speaker 5: a set of snow tires before the winter hits.
- 26:35Speaker 1: My husband said he'd get it done eventually.
- 26:38Speaker 5: My dad got the tires for me this weekend, and
- 26:40Speaker 5: my husband said it wasn't his place to get the tires.
- 26:44Speaker 1: It saved us hundreds of dollars. So why is he mad?
- 26:48Speaker 2: Well, it's his daughter. It's his daughter. It could snow
- 26:55Speaker 2: any day now. He just did it.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Man, you ought to think you ought to just considered
- 26:59Speaker 3: a black but you know, but let me tell you
- 27:03Speaker 3: but but but let me tell you the way we
- 27:05Speaker 3: deflect as men.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I was gonna take care of this. I don't see.
- 27:10Speaker 3: He don't need the father making him look bad. So
- 27:14Speaker 3: now he gonna have an attitude with the daddy. It
- 27:16Speaker 3: wasn't his place. I'll tell you what. Go on over
- 27:19Speaker 3: there and tell her daddy that it wasn't her place.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Wasn't his place. Keep his daughter safe, tell him and
- 27:26Speaker 3: watch the conversation you finny get.
- 27:28Speaker 2: You're gonna wish you had to win over there.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think that would go real well.
- 27:33Speaker 2: That ain't gonna go good though at all.
- 27:36Speaker 3: So what you ought to do as a man is
- 27:38Speaker 3: just saying, hey, look, ain't no problem. I was gonna
- 27:40Speaker 3: pay for the time I gave your daddy the money back.
- 27:42Speaker 3: I say, hey, man, I appreciate you good looking, but
- 27:44Speaker 3: I'm gonna take care of your daughter like I promise,
- 27:46Speaker 3: here's your money back.
- 27:47Speaker 2: That man will respect you at the highest level. You
- 27:50Speaker 2: wouldn't even believe.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Okay, question eventually, what does that mean?
- 27:58Speaker 2: You can't do that like that? You gotta do immediately
- 28:02Speaker 2: that right.
- 28:03Speaker 5: She asked him for the tires, Winter's coming. Winter is coming.
- 28:07Speaker 5: He said he'll get it done eventually.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Yeah, his money wasn't right or he didn't think they
- 28:15Speaker 3: needed him right now because it because winter ain't here,
- 28:19Speaker 3: you know, except me, it ain't snowed yet, you know,
- 28:22Speaker 3: not debt it and bought the tie.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Now we just burning them up.
- 28:25Speaker 3: We Messa, were weighing these ties down on this concrete asphalt.
- 28:33Speaker 3: We need these ties because winter ties. You don't need
- 28:37Speaker 3: to drive them in the summer, because they ain't gonna
- 28:38Speaker 3: be of use. She's just gonna run the tread down.
- 28:41Speaker 1: That's what he's gonna be saying to her. Okay, to
- 28:44Speaker 1: his wife, all right, all.
- 28:46Speaker 5: Right, eventually eventually, okay, uh, last one, Steve, This is
- 28:52Speaker 5: Brenda and Greenville. Brenda writes, my co worker is a
- 28:57Speaker 5: Republican and she likes to talk about politics when we
- 29:00Speaker 5: go to lunch. She said we should be able to
- 29:03Speaker 5: have a discussion without anybody getting mad or anything. Listen,
- 29:08Speaker 5: I don't like talking to her, so I stopped eating
- 29:10Speaker 5: with her.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Am I being immature?
- 29:14Speaker 3: No, it's just you don't like to discuss politics while
- 29:17Speaker 3: you're eating.
- 29:18Speaker 2: It's an unpleasant subject. But me, I'm dying that for it.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Bring it till you come on down here.
- 29:27Speaker 2: So why are you chewing?
- 29:29Speaker 3: I'm gonna explain to you, I don't like politics.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I don't like your Party.
- 29:39Speaker 3: I don't care for your president, and I really don't
- 29:44Speaker 3: have any good feelings about you.
- 29:48Speaker 2: But now continue to cheot.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Do that at work?
- 29:54Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 29:54Speaker 2: No, no, they at lunch.
- 29:56Speaker 3: I've never had an appropriate conversation when I was working
- 29:59Speaker 3: at lung.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Ever where like Ford Motor Company.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Ford Motor Company, common Wealth Insurance Company, legally Electrics.
- 30:06Speaker 2: I go to lunch to talk sugar, honey, ice tea.
- 30:09Speaker 1: That's why we can't talk religion. We can't talk religion,
- 30:12Speaker 1: religion and politics now.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Now because you will find out very quickly that I'm
- 30:17Speaker 3: not in the soul saving business.
- 30:19Speaker 1: We can't.
- 30:20Speaker 2: We can't lunch. No, no, don't come over here.
- 30:24Speaker 5: Coming up at the top of the hour, We'll have
- 30:26Speaker 5: some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 30:29Speaker 1: You're listening Harvey Morning Show. Okay.
- 30:36Speaker 5: So, Kirk Franklin's Den of King's YouTube series is a
- 30:40Speaker 5: safe place where Kirk and his guests have real discussions
- 30:43Speaker 5: that affect men and a movement for change, for healing,
- 30:47Speaker 5: and for brotherhood. So Kirk's recent guests was Tyresee and
- 30:52Speaker 5: along with other guests, and they talked about polygamy, they
- 30:55Speaker 5: talked about sex and body count.
- 30:58Speaker 1: So take a listen.
- 30:58Speaker 5: When Tyresee talked about the moment he decided to change.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Every audience I perform.
- 31:04Speaker 16: In front of every club I host, I pretty much
- 31:07Speaker 16: never see dudes tall women.
- 31:10Speaker 2: He's been that way from the beginning.
- 31:13Speaker 16: And so I got to a point where I'm safe here.
- 31:19Speaker 16: But if I felt even more safe, I would be
- 31:21Speaker 16: willing to go public with what I believe my number is.
- 31:25Speaker 16: But it's it's crazy what I've been doing. No, I'm
- 31:28Speaker 16: not I'm not gonna mention the number, but I'm saying
- 31:32Speaker 16: what I believe my number is is a little scary
- 31:36Speaker 16: because I got to a point where a powerful man
- 31:41Speaker 16: of God asked me a question, and he said, without
- 31:45Speaker 16: even coming at me, he just said, hey, Reese, let
- 31:48Speaker 16: me ask you man, how many more.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Wow?
- 31:54Speaker 1: Behind the body counsel that changes things? Not how many?
- 31:58Speaker 1: How many more? All right? Steve your comments?
- 32:02Speaker 5: What do you think?
- 32:03Speaker 2: How many more?
- 32:08Speaker 1: In other words, when are you gonna stop and get
- 32:10Speaker 1: your just said?
- 32:12Speaker 2: I don't know. It depends on how my career go,
- 32:15Speaker 2: how much.
- 32:16Speaker 5: Money I met, how many more millions.
- 32:19Speaker 3: There put me on the spot know how many more?
- 32:23Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 32:26Speaker 1: You see future? I can't see the future.
- 32:33Speaker 2: How you good with that?
- 32:35Speaker 1: What number you think ty said?
- 32:37Speaker 2: What number you think you said? Always up there, it's
- 32:40Speaker 2: up there, it's up there.
- 32:41Speaker 3: It's not at at minimum, at minimum, I know, I
- 32:49Speaker 3: know two hundred at minimum, ladies, ladies, y'all, y'all don't
- 32:55Speaker 3: even know.
- 32:57Speaker 1: He's fine.
- 32:57Speaker 5: Black man, y'all don't don't understand.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Y'all don't understand.
- 33:02Speaker 1: And he could sing and act.
- 33:04Speaker 5: He's got a challenge, Yes, jonyd.
- 33:07Speaker 2: You ain't even got that.
- 33:08Speaker 3: No, No, tommybody county.
- 33:11Speaker 8: Hey, Hey, hey you brother, Hey, it's up that nephew.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Okay, okay, Tommy, don't say nothing, ladies, what would you
- 33:25Speaker 3: consider a high number for Tommy?
- 33:27Speaker 2: Give me up? What would you consider a high number?
- 33:30Speaker 1: I don't like you said for Tommy or Tommy?
- 33:32Speaker 2: For Tommy? Y forty five?
- 33:38Speaker 5: Yeah you said, Tyree said two hundred. Will say, Tommy,
- 33:41Speaker 5: you're getting close, just to make it in getting close.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Tommy, and we're playing the hollow game, right, y'all?
- 33:51Speaker 2: Not going home with the toaster?
- 33:56Speaker 1: Would I do with that? Anyway? Oh sir? How many more, Tommy?
- 34:02Speaker 1: How many more?
- 34:03Speaker 8: Ain't no more?
- 34:06Speaker 2: Ain't no more?
- 34:08Speaker 3: Because I here's my favorite thing that I know about
- 34:11Speaker 3: my past. My favorite thing about it is it needs
- 34:15Speaker 3: to stay right where it is. I don't need to
- 34:19Speaker 3: bring none of the old me to the fore front
- 34:22Speaker 3: no more. He don't need to make no more appearances.
- 34:25Speaker 8: And you say, what's bad is when you meet somebody
- 34:29Speaker 8: from your past and don't remember them.
- 34:36Speaker 1: And you said, for women, it's two or three three? Three?
- 34:41Speaker 2: Three?
- 34:43Speaker 1: Three?
- 34:43Speaker 2: Is the match? Number one more?
- 34:52Speaker 5: Get a number?
- 34:53Speaker 1: Three is one more than? I say?
- 34:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's it, so you know I don't really
- 34:59Speaker 2: Tyree's number was up there?
- 35:00Speaker 1: Boy? Wow?
- 35:03Speaker 5: All right, all right, Well I want you eventually to
- 35:06Speaker 5: go on Dennis King's with Kirk Franklin.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I do too. He asked me to do the
- 35:11Speaker 3: first one, but I couldn't do it. I would do
- 35:13Speaker 3: it because I love Kirk, and I think me and
- 35:17Speaker 3: Kirk have a special relationship. I would venture to say
- 35:23Speaker 3: that I'm a little bit closer to Kirk than most anybody.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Oh really, that's your friend, Okay?
- 35:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he and Kirk are in constant communication.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Well you did go on tour together at that time too. Yeah.
- 35:38Speaker 3: But even even back when I was doing Celebration of Gospel,
- 35:42Speaker 3: Kirk Kurk helped me man, him, Donnie Mcclerkland, Yolanda Adams,
- 35:49Speaker 3: and John p.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Key.
- 35:50Speaker 3: They really help. They really helped me because I was
- 35:54Speaker 3: finn to quit no doing the celebration of gospel that
- 36:00Speaker 3: for thirteen years.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I did that for thirteen years, man, and
- 36:05Speaker 1: you were being judged. That's what it was.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Oh my god, man, it was like crazy.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Man.
- 36:10Speaker 2: My first two years was horrible.
- 36:12Speaker 3: I did an interview with one of the gospel artists
- 36:15Speaker 3: on the show, and you know, before the interviewer came on,
- 36:18Speaker 3: we were all on the call waiting, and they didn't know,
- 36:21Speaker 3: and they were talking about, I don't know why Yolsta show,
- 36:23Speaker 3: he ain't even saved. This show should be for saved people.
- 36:27Speaker 3: He's not even saved. He's not one of them.
- 36:29Speaker 2: You hearing this on the conference.
- 36:31Speaker 3: No, I'm hearing it, man, because they didn't know I
- 36:33Speaker 3: was on the call, and you know, I did the
- 36:35Speaker 3: interview with him and everything, and then I said, hey, man,
- 36:38Speaker 3: let me let me get out my way from these people, man,
- 36:40Speaker 3: because they just I could tell you some incidents, man,
- 36:44Speaker 3: from from some of them, some of them big time Christians.
- 36:48Speaker 3: I was spit the walk and Donnal mclerkley and Elne
- 36:51Speaker 3: Adams and Kirk sent me down and said, no, you're
- 36:53Speaker 3: not cool.
- 36:55Speaker 1: You gotta go on Kings with Kirk Franklin. You have
- 36:58Speaker 1: to want it all.
- 37:00Speaker 9: Sorry.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I ain't.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Gonna say no names though. Coming up, get mad.
- 37:06Speaker 5: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, we'll talk
- 37:10Speaker 5: about California's Governor Gavin Newsom and how he's trolling President
- 37:13Speaker 5: Trump in the media.
- 37:15Speaker 1: How does that.
- 37:15Speaker 11: Feel right after this you're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Get into the Hyundai Getaway Sales event and get away
- 37:28Speaker 3: with the deal so right, it almost feels wrong right now.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Get huge savings on our popular models, including our venture
- 37:36Speaker 3: ready SUV's like the Hondai Santa Fe, or Go all
- 37:40Speaker 3: Electric with America's most awarded EV lineup.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Like the Ionic five or Ionic six.
- 37:46Speaker 8: Get down to your local Hondai dealer and get away
- 37:49Speaker 8: with a great deal only during the Hondai Getaway Sale event.
- 37:52Speaker 8: Visit Hyundai USA dot com for details.
- 37:55Speaker 5: California Governor Gavin Newsom has entered the chat and he
- 37:59Speaker 5: is rolling President Trump again. Governor Newsom's social media pages
- 38:04Speaker 5: are like Trump's social truth pages or truth Social pages,
- 38:07Speaker 5: and The Democrats are loving it. However, the Republicans are
- 38:11Speaker 5: upset about his trolling attacks. It appears that Governor Newsom
- 38:15Speaker 5: has changed former First Lady Michelle Obama's Democratic message. Remember
- 38:19Speaker 5: when she said when they go low, we go high. Well,
- 38:22Speaker 5: Newsom's new trolling posts are sending a new message. He says,
- 38:26Speaker 5: when they go low, we go low. This past weekend,
- 38:32Speaker 5: the governor posted information about the launch of his new
- 38:35Speaker 5: online store, it's called the Patriots Store, selling his trolling
- 38:40Speaker 5: merchandise make Maga, make America Gavin again instead of make
- 38:49Speaker 5: America great again, Make America Gavin again, because you know
- 38:53Speaker 5: the talk is, of course twenty twenty eight or down
- 38:56Speaker 5: the line, he's going to run for president.
- 38:58Speaker 1: As he has.
- 38:59Speaker 2: To me right now.
- 39:01Speaker 3: He is the only chance that the Democratic Party has.
- 39:06Speaker 3: He is the only one with guts, He is the
- 39:09Speaker 3: only one with courage, and he is the only one
- 39:12Speaker 3: that has the look that they will vote for.
- 39:14Speaker 2: They're not voting for nothing else. Man.
- 39:17Speaker 3: After Barack Obama, President Obama, they said, oh no, we
- 39:20Speaker 3: ain't gonna fin to do this no more.
- 39:22Speaker 2: This is America we live in.
- 39:24Speaker 3: And if you don't think that they've made that conscious decision,
- 39:27Speaker 3: all you have to do is just look at the
- 39:28Speaker 3: voting things with Kamala Harris against Trump.
- 39:31Speaker 2: There's no way they were going to let that happen.
- 39:35Speaker 3: You need somebody to play the game the way the
- 39:38Speaker 3: Republicans are playing the game except comeback, combat their lives
- 39:43Speaker 3: with just truth. But when they do stuff like the
- 39:46Speaker 3: redistricting in Texas and then he go, okay, well we
- 39:50Speaker 3: get five most let me readistrict California.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Not up in arms about that.
- 39:55Speaker 3: But what you all are trying to do is steal
- 39:57Speaker 3: the election and get it set where you can win again.
- 40:00Speaker 2: And that's we nothing to do that.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Yeah, finally the Democrats have somebody who's willing to fight
- 40:08Speaker 3: fire with fire because this nice guy punk approach that
- 40:11Speaker 3: the Democrats are using it's embarrassing and I'm not supporting
- 40:15Speaker 3: that ever. Again, I'm not supporting no weak candidate. So
- 40:20Speaker 3: I'm not supporting that anymore, not me.
- 40:23Speaker 5: I remember when when President Obama was in office, and
- 40:28Speaker 5: you used to say all the time, because I used
- 40:30Speaker 5: to ask you, what are the chances of us having
- 40:32Speaker 5: another black president in the foreseeable future? And you used
- 40:36Speaker 5: to say so eloquently, Steve, look at.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Your face, never.
- 40:47Speaker 5: That's pretty much what you said. I love he's America's governor.
- 40:51Speaker 5: Now he is not playing it. He like, oh my
- 40:54Speaker 5: bill less.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Insiders just saying that it's working. It's upset Trump what
- 41:00Speaker 1: he's doing.
- 41:01Speaker 5: It's upsetting Trump because you know that he doesn't like
- 41:03Speaker 5: for people to come for him. All right, coming up
- 41:06Speaker 5: in thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll ask a
- 41:08Speaker 5: cru some funny random questions.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening Hardy Morning show.

- 41:29Speaker 5: you miss most about your childhood?
- 41:32Speaker 1: Easy? You don't miss anything about your childhood.
- 41:36Speaker 5: Hey, nothing, playing out, playing all day outside until the
- 41:41Speaker 5: street lights came on, being all.

- 42:29Speaker 1: You get over?
- 42:31Speaker 2: All right?
- 42:35Speaker 1: All right, all right, here's another one.
- 42:38Speaker 5: How would your spouse react, you think if you proposed
- 42:41Speaker 5: a threesome, you know, just to spice things up a
- 42:44Speaker 5: little bit.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Well, my wife, My wife is not here and it's here,
- 42:52Speaker 2: what spouse? Because right after I say.
- 42:56Speaker 5: That, oh it's over, what about before you were married?
- 43:03Speaker 1: If you're a significant other, you propose that?
- 43:07Speaker 2: My girl, none of that, you can doing none of that.
- 43:10Speaker 2: What you're talking about it.
- 43:11Speaker 5: That's good because you know times have changed. We talk
- 43:15Speaker 5: about that a lot on this show, and a lot
- 43:17Speaker 5: of times women feel like they have to do this
- 43:20Speaker 5: to keep up with the man, or to keep this man.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Modern love ya modern Mine ain't never said that to me.
- 43:27Speaker 1: But people are doing that now, I mean, you know,
- 43:30Speaker 1: more so than ever.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Well you know all I hear from my Leo and look, man,
- 43:36Speaker 3: ain't no, ain't no regular people fin to sign up
- 43:39Speaker 3: for that. You know, all these people, some celebrities talking
- 43:43Speaker 3: about they have open marriages.
- 43:45Speaker 5: The minds ain't signing up for Polly Emory is very
- 43:50Speaker 5: popular right now, more than one.
- 43:53Speaker 8: Well, my wife, so now I don't know who. I
- 43:56Speaker 8: don't know who Polly is. Let me tell you something.
- 43:59Speaker 8: I'm in here with these kids. I got these kids.
- 44:01Speaker 8: So I'm coming here with all this foolish life today.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I ain't got to have of that they have kids.
- 44:07Speaker 2: No, I ain't say I ain't seen no kids in
- 44:09Speaker 2: their relationships. I'm pretty sure they got them.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Yeah they yeah, or whoever Grandma?
- 44:21Speaker 3: No, I mean I'm talking about all of them living
- 44:22Speaker 3: in the same house. Yeah, you know what what what's
- 44:26Speaker 3: his name?
- 44:28Speaker 2: Neo? What he got m he got four women for
- 44:32Speaker 2: how many kids is?
- 44:34Speaker 1: I don't know how many kids?
- 44:36Speaker 8: But yeah, this is expensive. Now you gotta have a
- 44:40Speaker 8: nerve shrink. Now you gotta have this costing too much.
- 44:45Speaker 8: This one little act is costant way too much.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Okay, so it's a hard note for the two of you.
- 44:53Speaker 5: Okay, yes, all right, moving on to this other random question.
- 44:58Speaker 5: The powerball jack hot is over seven hundred and fifty
- 45:02Speaker 5: million dollars last night. If someone you knew, one really
- 45:05Speaker 5: really big someone you knew but didn't share a dime
- 45:09Speaker 5: with you, would that be the end end of the relationship.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Or the friendship?
- 45:15Speaker 2: Them hunted me?
- 45:16Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 45:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're close.
- 45:21Speaker 5: Yeah, someone well, someone you knew, Yeah, friendly you were
- 45:24Speaker 5: friendly with.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Probably somebody I didn't loan money too than.
- 45:28Speaker 1: One, right, could be so it's a friendship. But with that, yeah,
- 45:34Speaker 1: is it over? Would that be the end?
- 45:35Speaker 2: Friendship? Old and some stealing finished?
- 45:38Speaker 5: Or yeah, so someone you you know had a lot
- 45:42Speaker 5: of money didn't give you any you'd be mad about it.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Now you'd have to say, like, who I know a
- 45:47Speaker 3: lot of close I wouldn't expect a dime from them,
- 45:51Speaker 3: but like, give me an example.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Who Tommy won the Powerball last.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Oh here, Yeah, Tommy gonna give me something? All right,
- 46:00Speaker 3: am I would give all y'allo?
- 46:05Speaker 1: All right, me too, me too?

- 46:07Speaker 5: Coming up next to the nephew, uh and the prank
- 46:10Speaker 5: phone call for today. Right after this, you're listening to
- 46:13Speaker 5: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 46:20Speaker 5: of the hour, right about four minutes after, it's my
- 46:22Speaker 5: strawberry letter for today, and the subject is how could
- 46:26Speaker 5: he be so cold hearted? We'll get into that find
- 46:30Speaker 5: out what that's all about. Wow, and just a few
- 46:33Speaker 5: because right now the nephew is here with today's prank
- 46:37Speaker 5: phone call.
- 46:37Speaker 1: What you got for his neph.
- 46:39Speaker 8: Third I got a butt for you. That's what I got.
- 46:41Speaker 8: I got a butt this right here. Yeah, this is
- 46:45Speaker 8: called butt man.
- 46:48Speaker 1: It will be high butt man. If it was really.
- 46:54Speaker 5: Nobody knows you walk on your.
- 47:00Speaker 8: So if I bring my toes down with my butt
- 47:02Speaker 8: being normal to y'all.
- 47:04Speaker 2: No, no, no, just lean your head back. You'll see
- 47:06Speaker 2: what we come.
- 47:06Speaker 5: Man.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Listen, I'm about to call VN.
- 47:14Speaker 8: Von apparently has been making U photo copies of his
- 47:19Speaker 8: butt at the job. Okay, so I'm calling from Human
- 47:24Speaker 8: Resources letting Vughon know. We know you the butt man,
- 47:27Speaker 8: but we just we're finna make show. So everybody on
- 47:30Speaker 8: the floor. We got to see everybody, but everybody got
- 47:34Speaker 8: to bring their butt in here. We can figure out
- 47:36Speaker 8: what butt this is that's on the copy. So I
- 47:39Speaker 8: might've been making copies of they butt. Okay, let's go
- 47:41Speaker 8: butt man.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Hello. Hey, I'm trying to reach Vaughn.
- 47:45Speaker 8: Please VN. This is Darius. Darius with Human Resources. How
- 47:50Speaker 8: are you?
- 47:52Speaker 9: I'm doing fine?
- 47:53Speaker 15: Can I help you?
- 47:54Speaker 8: Yeah, listen, we have an incident that has taken place
- 47:58Speaker 8: at the job.
- 47:59Speaker 2: You actually what floor are you on?
- 48:02Speaker 1: Vin? I'm all for twelve floor twelve?
- 48:06Speaker 8: All right, so do you use the copy machine that
- 48:10Speaker 8: often on that floor.
- 48:12Speaker 9: Not all the time, but I do use it every
- 48:14Speaker 9: once in.
- 48:14Speaker 2: A while, Okay, every once in a while. So here's
- 48:18Speaker 2: what's going on.
- 48:19Speaker 8: There's gonna be some actions being taken place here pretty soon,
- 48:22Speaker 8: some legal actions, and we're just clearing everybody. You know,
- 48:26Speaker 8: this is just a proper procedure that we're having to
- 48:29Speaker 8: go through.
- 48:30Speaker 2: So let me just kind of enlighten you on what's
- 48:32Speaker 2: taking place.
- 48:33Speaker 8: Someone on the twelfth floor has copied their butt on
- 48:38Speaker 8: a piece of paper.
- 48:39Speaker 2: In the copy machine.
- 48:40Speaker 8: So someone I actually sat up on the xerox machine
- 48:43Speaker 8: and copied their butt. Why someone would do that, I
- 48:46Speaker 8: have no earthly idea. But what's happening now is everyone
- 48:50Speaker 8: on your floor is going to have to come in
- 48:53Speaker 8: and show their butt. So we're scheduling this now. I'm
- 48:57Speaker 8: thinking Friday at eleven am.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Would that be so.
- 49:03Speaker 9: Y'all, y'all talk to y'all talking about y'all want me
- 49:06Speaker 9: to come up there and show show my show my
- 49:11Speaker 9: because somebody, I'm a grown man. Okay, I'm a grown man.
- 49:15Speaker 9: I ain't do that.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Okay, you know what, I believe you. I believe you wholeheartedly.
- 49:19Speaker 8: VN but just to clear your name, we have to,
- 49:23Speaker 8: I hate to say it, clear your butt as well.
- 49:25Speaker 8: So we want to make sure we're gonna find out
- 49:28Speaker 8: whose butt this is on a piece of paper, that
- 49:29Speaker 8: did this.
- 49:30Speaker 9: We're gonna find you're gonna find you're gonna find out
- 49:32Speaker 9: who's You're gonna find out whose cheeks those are, and
- 49:34Speaker 9: you're gonna find that real quickly. In our mind, I'm
- 49:37Speaker 9: not doing that, man, I'm not gonna come in.
- 49:39Speaker 8: You said Friday, You're doing this on Friday eleven, not.
- 49:43Speaker 9: Coming that my day off. I'm pulling my pants down.
- 49:46Speaker 9: Let some strangers looking really look at my look at
- 49:50Speaker 9: my cheeks, talking about somebody copy. I'm not doing that.
- 49:54Speaker 2: I don't I don't want to.
- 49:56Speaker 8: I don't want this to take a turn, Vin, because
- 49:58Speaker 8: right now this if you're not if you're saying you're
- 50:01Speaker 8: not coming in, then other actions will be taking place
- 50:05Speaker 8: if you don't come in and follow the precedure that
- 50:07Speaker 8: everybody's saying.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Everybody else that I'm calling they have to come in.
- 50:12Speaker 9: How many how many people work on that floor?
- 50:14Speaker 2: There's at least eighty plus people on that floor.
- 50:17Speaker 9: You're talking about trying to have eighty plus people come
- 50:21Speaker 9: in drive all way to work, so some strangers and
- 50:24Speaker 9: we don't even know can look at our look at
- 50:26Speaker 9: our cheeks, and I'm not gonna do that. I don't
- 50:29Speaker 9: know who did it, but I know they ain't me.
- 50:32Speaker 8: Well, somebody somebody's xeroxs there butt on the twelfth floor,
- 50:37Speaker 8: and we're gonna get to okay, but we're gonna get
- 50:40Speaker 8: to the bottom of who did it and what you're
- 50:42Speaker 8: what you're not gonna do? Von Is tell me you're
- 50:44Speaker 8: not coming in. What you're not gonna do? Do you
- 50:47Speaker 8: like your job here with this company?
- 50:49Speaker 9: Oh? Okay, what you're not gonna do exactly like you're
- 50:52Speaker 9: gonna fire me because I'm not gonna show y'all my
- 50:54Speaker 9: sleep goodies just because you just because you're from HR
- 50:58Speaker 9: you got me food. If you actually take me to
- 51:00Speaker 9: think that everybody that works from this floor is over here,
- 51:04Speaker 9: like oh yeah, sure, I'll go with some strangers. Look
- 51:07Speaker 9: at mine, Look.
- 51:08Speaker 14: At my crack.
- 51:09Speaker 9: You must be playing, no, sir, not with me.
- 51:12Speaker 8: Okay, let me let me let me ask you this.
- 51:15Speaker 8: Do you have a coworker named Andre?
- 51:18Speaker 9: Andre?
- 51:18Speaker 1: Yes, Andre says he knows you.
- 51:22Speaker 8: Now, I'm just gonna put it out here Andre is
- 51:24Speaker 8: stating that it could have possibly been you.
- 51:29Speaker 9: Really, Andre got the nerve to say it could have
- 51:31Speaker 9: been me? Smith, Andre, Why didn't he trying to single
- 51:35Speaker 9: me out? Like I even use that copier around there
- 51:38Speaker 9: playing games. I'm a grown man. He must be out
- 51:41Speaker 9: of his mind thinking he gonna say I did it.
- 51:45Speaker 8: All I know is he stated that you were a possibility.
- 51:48Speaker 8: That's what That's what he stated.
- 51:49Speaker 9: He said I was a possibility. That That's dumb. He
- 51:53Speaker 9: ain't have absolutely the reason to think. I don't even
- 51:55Speaker 9: use that copier, man, I use that thing like once
- 51:58Speaker 9: every two three weeks, everybody on that floor.
- 52:01Speaker 8: Okay, so out of once every two three weeks, is
- 52:04Speaker 8: there a possibility maybe you propped your butt up there
- 52:06Speaker 8: and copied it?
- 52:08Speaker 1: Not at all?
- 52:09Speaker 9: Y'all really ain't even told me when this happened. I
- 52:11Speaker 9: probably wasn't even working when the booty.
- 52:14Speaker 14: M you can.
- 52:16Speaker 9: You must be out your mind. You can waste everybody
- 52:18Speaker 9: else's time trying to bring everyone in to get a
- 52:21Speaker 9: free strip show, but you're not gonna do that to me.
- 52:24Speaker 9: This has to be unethical and illegal on so many levels.
- 52:28Speaker 9: You're trying to come in and say everybody on the
- 52:31Speaker 9: entire floor has to come show that. Geez, man, you
- 52:34Speaker 9: want to be kidding me?
- 52:36Speaker 14: What's your name?
- 52:37Speaker 9: Whole time? You're trying to call me saying, this is
- 52:39Speaker 9: HR what's your name? Because when I.
- 52:42Speaker 8: I'm Darius, I'm Darius out of human Resources. I told
- 52:45Speaker 8: you that when I first.

- 53:01Speaker 9: but so you.
- 53:02Speaker 1: Do know Leslie?
- 53:03Speaker 14: Yes?
- 53:03Speaker 9: I know Leslie. She works it with me. So you're
- 53:06Speaker 9: trying to tell me that Leslie said, do you want.
- 53:09Speaker 1: To know what Leslie said?
- 53:11Speaker 9: Yes? I would like to know what Leslie says, so
- 53:14Speaker 9: when I cuss her out, I get it right, Okay.
- 53:16Speaker 8: Leslie told me to tell you that this is nephew
- 53:19Speaker 8: Tommy from the Steve Harvey more on the show. And

- 53:57Speaker 9: The Steve Harvey Morning Show? Somebody is whoop?
- 54:04Speaker 2: Anybody in here? I'm not the only one anybody a
- 54:07Speaker 2: copy day, but.
- 54:09Speaker 1: The only one.

- 56:39Speaker 2: We got it for you.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry Letta all.
- 56:43Speaker 5: Right, nephew, thank you subject. How could he be so
- 56:46Speaker 5: cold hearted? Here, Stephen Shirley, I was married for almost
- 56:50Speaker 5: twenty years. When our daughter was twelve, my husband jokingly
- 56:54Speaker 5: told his brother that he was only staying in the
- 56:56Speaker 5: marriage until our daughter graduates. He had it in front
- 57:00Speaker 5: of me, and I agreed with him, thinking it was
- 57:02Speaker 5: a joke because we had all been drinking and making
- 57:05Speaker 5: digs at each other.
- 57:07Speaker 1: He wasn't joking, though.
- 57:08Speaker 5: When our daughter turned nineteen, my husband told me that
- 57:12Speaker 5: he wanted a divorce. He planned to move to Canada
- 57:14Speaker 5: or somewhere where he could have a simpler life. I
- 57:18Speaker 5: asked him if it was something I did, and he
- 57:20Speaker 5: told me that I had been a perfect wife and mother,
- 57:23Speaker 5: but he had to go live his life on his
- 57:25Speaker 5: own terms.
- 57:26Speaker 1: I went through his.
- 57:27Speaker 5: Phone, his emails, his credit card statements, and I did
- 57:30Speaker 5: not find any evidence of him having a woman on
- 57:33Speaker 5: the side. He told me that he never put my
- 57:36Speaker 5: name on the mortgage after our wedding, but I could
- 57:39Speaker 5: stay in the house because it's where our child grew up.
- 57:42Speaker 5: We got a quick, non contested divorce because if he
- 57:45Speaker 5: didn't want to be with me, I certainly didn't want
- 57:48Speaker 5: to be with him. I was hurt and the divorce
- 57:50Speaker 5: put me in a financial bind. Then things got worse.
- 57:54Speaker 5: He didn't leave the country. He just moved to another county.
- 57:59Speaker 5: He sent me a long email telling me that he
- 58:01Speaker 5: wants his house back, and he gave me a deadline
- 58:04Speaker 5: to get out. He said he is a new woman
- 58:07Speaker 5: and she will be living in the house with him.
- 58:09Speaker 5: I don't have anywhere to go, and I have no
- 58:12Speaker 5: legal rights to stay. Why would he lie saying he
- 58:16Speaker 5: wasn't leaving me for someone else if he had someone
- 58:19Speaker 5: else all along. I can't afford to move, but my
- 58:23Speaker 5: attorney said I have to. Is it worth to try?
- 58:26Speaker 5: Worth it to try and talk to him? How could
- 58:28Speaker 5: he be so cold hearted?
- 58:32Speaker 8: Uh?
- 58:32Speaker 5: You know what, I'm just sorry this is happening to you,
- 58:35Speaker 5: I really am. Unfortunately, there are just some low down, ugly,
- 58:39Speaker 5: horrible people in this world, and that's just what it is.
- 58:42Speaker 5: And I know this firsthand. So I'm going to say,
- 58:45Speaker 5: drawing from my own experience this, all I can tell
- 58:49Speaker 5: you is that, as hard as it is for you
- 58:51Speaker 5: right now, you can get through this. First, you do
- 58:54Speaker 5: have to get out of the house. The house is
- 58:56Speaker 5: not in your name. There's nothing you can do about it.
- 58:59Speaker 5: The law is on his side. Your attorney even told
- 59:01Speaker 5: you that, so you got to let him have that.
- 59:04Speaker 5: You have to start working to rebuild your own life.
- 59:07Speaker 5: This is not the end, This is the beginning for you,
- 59:10Speaker 5: if you look at it that way. You got to
- 59:12Speaker 5: get a loyal support system of friends and family around
- 59:16Speaker 5: you and just start putting the pieces of.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Your life back together little by little.
- 59:21Speaker 5: I mean I had to stay with friends so I
- 59:23Speaker 5: could save money to get my own place. I will
- 59:26Speaker 5: tell you that going through something like this, you will
- 59:29Speaker 5: truly see who your real friends are. Your writer dies
- 59:32Speaker 5: will be there for you. The others were only there
- 59:35Speaker 5: for the good times. Obviously, So your life isn't over.
- 59:39Speaker 5: It's just changed in a major way and you have
- 59:42Speaker 5: to make the necessary adjustments you do.
- 59:45Speaker 1: I know this hurts. I know it's humiliating.
- 59:48Speaker 2: All of that.
- 59:50Speaker 5: For whatever reason, we don't know why he left you.
- 59:55Speaker 5: We don't know, we know what he told you, but
- 59:57Speaker 5: right now it doesn't even matter because this is no
- 59:59Speaker 5: law about him. You can't let this be about him.
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: This is about you now and how you're gonna make
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: beauty from these ashes he left. You can do it,
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: trust me, you can do it. God's got you. You
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: just got to start, Steve.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: One of the best answers Shirley has ever given to me.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: She used herself as an example. She drew on her
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: own life experiences. That's what it's about. What she told you.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: Everything was one hundred percent trough. I can't dispute nothing.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: I can just give you another way to look at it.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: That's all I could do. But Shirley covered all the bases.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: Stop tripping. How could he be so cold hearted?
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: He is? Okay, he is.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: He is what he is. That's not going to change.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: Your daughter was twelve. Your husband jokingly told his brother
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: stay in his marriage till at nineteen. You had been drinking.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: You agreed with him her nineteen and graduated. Guess what
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: he told you. He wanted a divorce, and he had
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: planned to move to Canada or somewhere where he could
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: have a simpler life. I asked him if something I did.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: He said, no, use perfect mother and a perfect wife. Okay,
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: but he wanted to live his life on his own terms.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: Then you went through all of his.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: Stuff, his phones, his contacts, his emails, his messages, his
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: credit card statements, and you found no evidence that there
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: was another woman. And he said that you all you
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: could keep the house because that's where your child grew up.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: And y'all got a quick, non contested divorce because if
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: he didn't want to be with me, I certainly didn't
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: want to.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: Be with him.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: I was hurt and the divorce put me in a
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: financial mind. You say, then it got worse. He didn't
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: lead a country. He just moved to another county. Lord
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: ham Mercy, ain't that beautiful. He didn't leave a country,
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: he moved to another county. That this is gonna work
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: out just good. So when we come back, what I
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: will explain to you is what this means for you.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: And all you have to do is understand. Just do
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: what Shirley said. For starters, Let's get that through your head.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: What Shirley said is best.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: But you got to understand something now, based on what
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: we're gonna say when we come back. It ain't really
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: nothing you can do. You ain't got no legal rights
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: in the house. He done told you you got to
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: get out that house because.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: He fit have moved back here with this woman.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: Now you're trying to figure out if he had a
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: woman all the time, why and he tell what diff
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: was it make?
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: You got the devoce.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: Y'all ain't even married right now, if he had somebody
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: that got somebody you didn't find no evidence, what difference
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: do it make? He done called you and told you
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: now he got somebody. He felt comfortable telling you that
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: because y'all ain't married.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Okay, Steve, stop right there. We'll have part two of.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: Your response coming up at twenty four minutes after the
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: hour Today's Strawberry letter subject how could he be so
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: cold hearted?
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this.

- 1:03:45Speaker 5: All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: The subject is how could he be so cold hearted?
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: OHK, here's a woman that was married to this man.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: He told her when the daughter graduated as a joke
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: when she was twelve, they was go get divorce.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: She was drinking.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: She agreed with it. Well, when the girl graduated, he
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: asked for a divorce. She was surprised. He said, it
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: wasn't her. You've been a perfect wife, a perfect mother.
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Hey, look I'm just gonna go live my best life.
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: I don't want to be married no more. I'm gonna go.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: To Canada or something.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: She said.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: Well, since he don't want to be with her, she
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: don't want to be with him. So they got a
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: quick divorce. He let her stay in the house because
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: that's where she raised the kids at. But the house
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: he never put her name on the mortgage, so he
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: kept the house in his name. Fast forward months later,
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: after the divorce is over with she got she he
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: living here. He sends her an email to saying, Hey,
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: I want the house back. Here's a date I want
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: you to be out by. Now I met this woman,
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: were gonna come live there and thank you for everything.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: But this what it is now.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: She thought in the beginning that there was a woman involved,
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: so she went through all his emails, contacts, messages, credit card,
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: but she saw no signs of a woman. But now
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: he comes back and then he says, I got this woman.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: We're gonna move into the house. And he didn't really
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: move to out the country. He moved to another county,
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: so he didn't he didn't go to Canada. He just
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: would just move to Cartle. And so now she tripping
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: because now she trying to figure out where this woman
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: come from. And I don't have nowhere to go, and
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: I ain't got no need legal rights to stay. Now
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: her question is why would he lie saying he wasn't
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: leaving me for someone else if he had someone else
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: all along? Well, you did your research and he didn't
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: have nobody. That don't mean he had nobody. He could
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: have just got somebody. But what difference do it make?
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: Y'all are divorced, You got a divorce, So what difference
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: does it make if he had somebody else all along?
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: I can't afford to move, but my attorney said I
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: have to because you have no legal rights. Is it
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: worth it to try to talk to him? And how
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: could my ex be so cold hearted? Okay, when you
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: talk to him, what are you gonna say? What you
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: want to talk about? He got somebody else, he's so
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: cool with to somebody else. He then told you he
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: got somebody else and he wanted that house because him
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: and that somebody else Finn to go live there.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: He told you that. What could you tell? How could
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: he be so cold hearted? It's just life. All you
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: have to do. Listen to me. Listen to me.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: Had you taken care of your business and had your
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: name on the documents and done the divorce, right, even
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: if your name wasn't on the document when you got
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: the divorce, you would have been entitled.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: To it because y'all was married.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: But you got the divorce and signed all that away,
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: So now you have no legal rights. All you really
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: have to do is moved so that you can't afford
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: to move, Yeah, you have to, Shirley said it best.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: You may have to go stay with a friend, get
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: your money, together. You know, it's a little bit embarrassing, but.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Hey, it's life. You can recover, and.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: This is a fine chance for you to get somebody
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: that wants you. He already got somebody, won't him. Stop
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: wallowing in the mud when somebody in the words my
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: favorite quote Judge Lynn told her said her grandmama told her,
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: don't let her in. Have to tell you twice he
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: don't want you. Now, it's clear.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: He got to divorce as soon as your daughter graduated.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: He told you in, he moved out. He told you in.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: He called you and told you you got to move out.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: He told you that. He told you he got somebody
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: knew and they fin to move in. He told you that.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: How much more information you need? Why do you want
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: to talk to this man? It's nothing to talk about.
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: You will be fine. As a matter of fact, you'll
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: really be fine. Earth.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: Stop depending on somebody. Stop expecting somebody to take care
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: of you. He got somebody else to take care of.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: He can't take care of two women.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: He ain't got that kind of money. You got to
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: get out that house. He probably said something to the
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: new girl. She said, well, I thought you had a house.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: Yeah I do, But I let my ex wife, so
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: she gonna just stay in that house.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: Ain't at your house? Why don't you get your house back? Yeah?
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: You right, hell, Claaria, Claire, that's how you talk.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: What old?
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Listen to me, Clara? I was, I was, I was.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: I was talking to this new girl I got Jereddine,
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: and Jerdine reminded me of something that that's my house
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: and that she thinks all to be living in my house.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: And I told Jerdine, where you know you're right? Well,
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: wait a minute, who is Jereddine?
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Claude.
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: Listen to me, Claudie, listen to me. I just met her.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: Now you probably had her before out at hand, nobody.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: I just met her. What difference would make we divorced?
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: You got to get out, You got you got forty
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: five days to get out. Don't be punching no holes
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: in the wall, doing that on nasty stuff. Don't be
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: no ripping out the falses and you know, kicking out
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: the screen.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: Doors and stuff. Just get out clean so I can
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: have my house back.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: Cause me and Jordine we gotta make us a life.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: Talk. I'm finna call your mama, old Debta and see
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: what she thinks all this and I don't like you.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: Well, my mama old Debt had already told me you
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: don't need to be staying in that house.

- 1:10:41Speaker 5: It is time now for Tommy in for junior and
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: sports talk.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: What you got for It's Tommy?
- 1:10:48Speaker 8: Are you ready for some football? All right, aunt, let's
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: talk about it. Let's talk man. Tampa Bay buccaneas they
- 1:10:55Speaker 8: have released Dion Sander's son, rookie safety Shiloh sand all right,
- 1:11:00Speaker 8: as NFL teams were all required to, you know, put
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: their roster down to fifty three players by four p
- 1:11:07Speaker 8: East by four pm Eastern today, So it's all happening
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: today four pm. And you know, Shallow was ejected from
- 1:11:13Speaker 8: Tampa Zi last preseason game is past Saturday, for throwing
- 1:11:16Speaker 8: a punch at Buffalo Bill's tight end Zack Davidson in
- 1:11:20Speaker 8: the second quarter. So question is was it the swing
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: that got you let go? Or is it your performance
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: throughout the whole time of preseason. Do it make a difference.
- 1:11:33Speaker 8: It don't make a difference. If you're gone, you're gone.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: So he just got to pick up move again, That's right.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: He can get on somewhere probably, you know.
- 1:11:41Speaker 8: Ope, So I wanted to get picked up. I was
- 1:11:43Speaker 8: hoping it did well in Tampa. I thought he was
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: on the right track for the kid.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: So what do you think about the decision?
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: Though?
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: I mean, you know, football is a violence for it.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: So THEBC when they cancel that talk show, I said.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: The same thing.
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: Huh, said the same thing when the NBC canceled my
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: talk show?
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: What it was violent?
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: When I got cut?
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Exact same thought.
- 1:12:14Speaker 8: How did you make this about talk show?
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: I'm just trying to figure out what everybody bothered about.
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: You go, things gonna happen in life.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 1:12:22Speaker 5: We got to pick up, move on because we got
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: to young low key racism involved.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Are racism in the same They ain't got nothing due racism.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: Black people got cut. They cut some white people too.
- 1:12:38Speaker 8: Yeah, So do you do you think he did not
- 1:12:40Speaker 8: perform up the park?
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: That's what I'm at.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: I was wasn't close enough to the to the UH
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: team at all. I don't I can't make that judgment
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: called I don't know how you performed. It seemed like
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: he was doing okay, but it wasn't nothing spectacular.
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: So now some comments on social media, they think were
- 1:12:59Speaker 5: they target him because he's Dion's son.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: And that's gonna always be the conversation. If you good
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: and I came home, it can't always be the excuse.
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: See he can't keep using though, right his other son
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: still playing. Yeah, and he got targeted. That's why he
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: was the fifth round pick. But he on the ROSSI
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: he number four, and you know, he better than three
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: of them. He better than two of the people in
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: front of him. For show, and you will see.
- 1:13:29Speaker 8: I'd rather be the son that don't play, the one
- 1:13:31Speaker 8: that do the social media stuff. I'd rather just be him. Yeah,
- 1:13:36Speaker 8: it's too much. It's too much going on with up. Yeah,
- 1:13:39Speaker 8: let me know what you'rell doing so I can post it.
- 1:13:41Speaker 8: I'm gonna post everything, all right.
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: Thank you. At the top of the hour, young woman
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: on social media needs some advice, Steve. She says her
- 1:13:52Speaker 5: parents spit her spent her college fund. Wow, we'll talk
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: about that right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: All right, Steve, this.
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: Is from Tricia on Steve HARVEFM. Tricia says, I just
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: found out that my money, that the money my grandparents
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: left me, has basically been spent. I got into my
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: dream college and was excited to have that financial cushion.
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: But when I asked about it, my parents showed me
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: an accounting.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Of how they used it over the years.
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: Turns out all the things they gave me growing up,
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: cheer camp, my senior trip, extra curricular activities, etc. Were
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: paid were paid for with my money. They never once
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: told me that that's where the money was coming from.
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: And now I only have enough left to cover my
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: first year of school. After that, I'll need to get
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: a job and figure it out on my own. I
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: feel like that money was supposed to be for my future,
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: not for them to use to cover stuff they didn't
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: want to pay for.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Am I wrong to be mad about this?
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: Isn't it wrong for my parents to have spent money
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: meant for me without asking?
- 1:15:06Speaker 9: Mm hmm.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: Now because they spent it on you. You went to
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: cheer camp.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: And it's expensive. Take it. That's expensive.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: All the roll trips and everything, your grandmama, they did
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: all that to get to the way you are now.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: Now you got one year of college paid for. Go
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: and go to college. You're gonna have to get a job,
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: get alan. It's all good. Don't worry about that. You
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: in college and the college degree first year paid for.
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: Year number two. You're gonna have to work it out now.
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: Maybe your mommy and daddy can.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: Help you with year two. You never know, but you
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: got to quit complaining.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: You in college, ain't nobody had no money for me
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: to do nothing.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: Now it's back to you.
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: It's back to me. Yeah, morning alone, it's just care
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: for my TV.
- 1:15:57Speaker 8: Camp.
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: So I showed he got cut from tam baby, and
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: you're twenty one years old.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: I got counsel. I was sixty. You know how hard
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: he is.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: Recover when you're in your sixty is like falling down
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: some steps for six twenty one.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: You get up sixty. I got to lay that check
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: with myself.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Call in, make sure nothing's broken.
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: Yeah, fracture, I mean, I gotta be steel.
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: You're inserting yourself in the Shiloh all on me, just like.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: In the Strawberry letter Today.
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: The best way to answer these questions is insert yourself into.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: These letters transparent today.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: Yeah, you're gonna be all right, Uh shilloh, your daddy's them.
- 1:16:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: And you in college? What you crying for? Just go
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: to college.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: This lady here now you switched.
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: To she only got one year paid for and they
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: used the money and they showed an account how they
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: she sent me to cheer camping paid for my trip,
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: said books, Well, you wouldn't have got to college if
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: you hadn't have done these other things?
- 1:17:05Speaker 5: Well, is it wrong for her parents to have spent
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: the money on her without asking her?
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: They spent the money on her.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: Now, if they went out and bought some trips and
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: cars and stuff, I'd understand.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: But all that money went towards you.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: But her thing is they her thing?
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: Don't matter.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: They should have spent their own money on her.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: No, no, no, Grandma sets some money aside for you.
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: Now you want to cut into your college fund with
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: all these little cheer camps.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: And ballet bowls for the back of your head and.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: All this here trip, we're not doing all that. You

- 1:18:12Speaker 1: You hating on this young lady.
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: I ain't got no degree, so I don't really know
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: what we're talking about.
- 1:18:19Speaker 10: That was to him about you all day.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: It's all right by him and Shiloh.
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: I'm talking about he got cut from Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: Let him take your TV show when you.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: Sixty two, try out.

- 1:25:23Speaker 5: Of course, Carl, you had a question for Steve. I
- 1:25:27Speaker 5: did I did? All right, Steve? What do you want
- 1:25:30Speaker 5: your life to be about?
- 1:25:33Speaker 9: You?
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: Sixty eight, you talk about your age a lot and
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: your agent.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: Well you're looking good. What do you want your life
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: to be about?
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: Well, I think that's a question that everybody should ask theyself,
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: and sooner than later, the saying goes the two most
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: important days of your life or the day you're born,
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: in the day you discover why.
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: What your life should be about.
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: It was kind of like what the subject was we
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: were talking about on stage at invest Fest. Your life
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: should be First of all, we all have choices. Everybody
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: gets to decide. Matter of fact, we're the only creature
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: that God created that he gave that power of choice to.
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: A bird has no option but to be a bird.
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: A bear has to be a bear, you know. A
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: squirrel has to be a squirrel, and this is what
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: they do. You have to do the things that they do.
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: We get to pick and choose along the way what
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: we get to be, what we get to do, and
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: who we choose as to who we are. We get
- 1:26:37Speaker 3: to make those choices. Now I've made my choices, and
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: as I suggested to young people that invest Fest, it's
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: all about how you brand yourself. And branding has a
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: lot to do with who you are. But the branding
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: part has to be tied to a few things. Number one,
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: it has to be tied to your gift and purpose.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: You need those two things to get cleared up you first.
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: First things First, a person should understand what their gift is.
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: What are you gifted at?
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: Realizing that God never created a soul without giving them
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: a gift, we all understand that, Well.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: What is yours?
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: It is the discovery of your gift, the admission of
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: your gift, and the pursuit of your gift that will
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: lead you to your purpose. Once again, the two biggest
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: days in your life of the day you're born and
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: the day you discover why. I was walking through invest
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: Fest and somebody stopped and asked me a question. Why
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: is it important for you og to come through here
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: and invest Fest? I said, because it is imperative that
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: I share as much knowledge as I can while I'm
- 1:27:58Speaker 3: here with the that I know who have a thirst
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: for it. Because, like I've said on this show many times,
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: there are many people I know. Most people I know
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: want to be happy and successful. I have found measures
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: of both of those, and so I don't mind sharing
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: the principles and concepts that lead to that. But you
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: have to come away with your own brand, and then
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: you have to remember that everything you do is about
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: your brand. When you get on the podcast, you have
- 1:28:28Speaker 3: to stay on brand. When you make a decision as
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: to what you're going to get involved with, it should
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: be on brand. It should fit who you are and
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: what you are here for who you are and what
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: you are. That's what your brand should always be about.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: You can't pick everything. Everything is not for you. Every
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: contract they asked you to sign, you shouldn't sign. Somebody
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: came to me the other day with these show ideas.
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: That's not what I'm looking for. I'm not looking for
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: that in more. I've had a lot of shows. I
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: can actually say that I've been content with being on
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: TV as long as I have, so I'm looking.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: For other things.
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: But if you keep doing what you've been doing, you
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: gonna keep getting what you've been getting. So I have
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: to make a decision to turn down those things that
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: get presented to me. If I want to stay on
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: brand with the new brand that I choose to be,
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: which is more of a business person, more of a businessman,
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: I gotta stay on brand. I can't keep picking what
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: I used to pick. I can't keep showing up for
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: appearance fees. Something has to be about ownership. Something has
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: to be about making you money while you sleep instead
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: of while you making money on your feet. I've done
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: that for years and years and years. So you have
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: to make a decision and you have to discover that
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: about yourself and stay the course. A big part of
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: it is not being afraid to reinvent yourself.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: You can't get stuck on chuck.
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: You know how many people I know man whose acting
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: career has been over and now they my age and older,
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: and they still out there trying to wait on the
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: roll to come up in that they can get picked for.
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: And it's so few rolls. The older you get, older
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: roles are much much more infrequent than younger roles.
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: I got to the point where I watch people that
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: I know in their seventies out here reading for parts
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: clearly it's say forty year old, thirty year old, and
- 1:30:36Speaker 3: they go out there to try to convince the director
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: that it should be them. It could be time to
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: reinvent yourself. It's nothing wrong with that. It's nothing wrong
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: with that. Somebody asked me recently, They said, Steve, how
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: long you been out of stand up, and I couldn't
- 1:30:54Speaker 3: remember if it was twenty twelve or twenty fifteen, but
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: I thought about it.
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: I think it's two twenty twelve.
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: And my last show was at the MGM Gardens and
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: I sold out fifteen thousand seats and that was my farewell.
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: That was my last time. And somebody even said, as me, dog,
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: how can you do that? How can you walk away
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: from stand up? I said, because it's time to turn
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: the page. I gotta do something else. I got a
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: TV career that I'm building now, and I think that
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: that stand up gonna interfere with that because I'm gonna
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: say something on that stage that ain't gonna fit the
- 1:31:31Speaker 3: brand of Family Feud and all these other things I got,
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: and then the sponsors is gonna pull and then that's
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: gonna be the end of that. Understand who you are,
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: what you are, and why you are, and stay on
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: brand and make that decision and do the best that
- 1:31:47Speaker 3: you can, and God will take care of the rest.
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: Have a great day. Talk to God today, y'all. He
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: would absolutely love to hear from you.
