- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing, huh, I show will good morning
- 2:04Speaker 1: everybody you are listening to the voice, come on ding
- 2:09Speaker 1: me now. One and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I said every day because God been good to me.
- 2:15Speaker 1: God has done some things in my life that's truly
- 2:18Speaker 1: been just amazing. It really amazing. Ain't even really the word.
- 2:23Speaker 1: They don't really have a word for what He's done
- 2:25Speaker 1: for me. I'm just out of superlatives. That's why I
- 2:28Speaker 1: say it every day. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:30Speaker 1: because God is in a blessing business. Yeah it is God.
- 2:34Speaker 1: God can help you turn your life around. Did you
- 2:37Speaker 1: hear me? God can help you turn your life around.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Whatever you're going through, God has an answer for it.
- 2:44Speaker 1: See But it's the going through that gets us though,
- 2:46Speaker 1: ain't it? Because I was having a moment yesterday and
- 2:49Speaker 1: I set my wife down. I said, baby, I just
- 2:51Speaker 1: need to talk to him. Going through a little bit
- 2:54Speaker 1: right now. I just wanted to share what I'm a
- 2:55Speaker 1: little down right now. My wife reminded me. She just
- 3:00Speaker 1: reminded me, just see this what a man. That's what
- 3:03Speaker 1: a good mate does. A good mate reminds you just
- 3:08Speaker 1: of things that sometimes you forget when you get off track.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Because you know, I consider myself a motivational type person.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I try to listen to people and then give them
- 3:20Speaker 1: something I've learned along the way on this journey I've
- 3:23Speaker 1: been on. I try to give a person a takeaway.
- 3:25Speaker 1: But even being that person, sometimes I get off track myself.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I get a little a little low. Sometimes, you know,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I get a little down. Sometimes I sometimes I forget
- 3:37Speaker 1: some of the stuff. I say. It ain't that I
- 3:39Speaker 1: forget it. I guess I just get caught up in
- 3:42Speaker 1: the grind of doing it. And sometimes I get a
- 3:46Speaker 1: little off course and I forget some of the things
- 3:49Speaker 1: that my wife or a mate can be good for
- 3:53Speaker 1: you to remind you. And she just says, Steve, God
- 3:57Speaker 1: got us. She said, have you even noticed that every
- 4:01Speaker 1: time you get in a spot And she say and
- 4:03Speaker 1: I know how you must feel because you're out here
- 4:05Speaker 1: working and and then you keep turning around and and
- 4:09Speaker 1: and and old stuff keep popping up, and you get
- 4:13Speaker 1: a call from your accounting and hit this then went wrong,
- 4:16Speaker 1: and not then when you steady trying to fix it,
- 4:18Speaker 1: but you steady going wild? Man, what does this? She say?
- 4:21Speaker 1: But you ever notice he always always, no matter what,
- 4:25Speaker 1: provide a way. And he ain't never too late, or
- 4:29Speaker 1: you might be going the deadline is approaching. The deadline
- 4:32Speaker 1: can come and pass, but then they have a grace
- 4:36Speaker 1: period for you. And then sometimes man, it's just you
- 4:39Speaker 1: go down now after the grace period and they take
- 4:41Speaker 1: the payment anywhere and you're good anyway. But see, ain't
- 4:44Speaker 1: that God bringing you through it. It may not be
- 4:47Speaker 1: when you want it, but he right on time. Jazz
- 4:50Speaker 1: before you get put out, jazz before they turn. Maybe
- 4:54Speaker 1: they cut the lights off, but you get it back on.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Jess Folk company come or just before the weekend. Get him.
- 5:00Speaker 1: See he always comes through for you. And she had
- 5:04Speaker 1: to remind me of that what you're going through is necessary. Look,
- 5:09Speaker 1: circumstance and hardships and pitfalls are always untimely. If you
- 5:15Speaker 1: keep the law of attraction and play. If you keep
- 5:18Speaker 1: believing that des that he gonna see you through this
- 5:21Speaker 1: just like he do when you don't believe it. That's
- 5:24Speaker 1: what the old part is, though, ain't it. Ain't God
- 5:27Speaker 1: brought you through even when you didn't really had a
- 5:30Speaker 1: faith to say he was gonna bring you through. But
- 5:33Speaker 1: because of grace and mercy he brought you through anyway.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But because you forgot to thank him, or you didn't
- 5:40Speaker 1: pay attention through to come through, you just was telling people, oh, man,
- 5:44Speaker 1: of you to see it was so jacked up, man,
- 5:46Speaker 1: I was so turned up. I ain't know what I
- 5:48Speaker 1: was donna do. Almost got put out. I was gonna
- 5:51Speaker 1: see keyword almost, And you forgot that part right there.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And then I looked like I won, man. And then
- 5:57Speaker 1: and seemed like every month I go through this same thing,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and then day then somebody ought to just say, did
- 6:04Speaker 1: you pay it? Yeah? I paid it? Did you get
- 6:05Speaker 1: put out? Now? I'm cool? See some See you need
- 6:08Speaker 1: somebody on your shoulder to say that to you, and
- 6:11Speaker 1: then you need somebody to come right behind him and go, man,
- 6:14Speaker 1: ain't God good? Really? Man? That's how this works. See
- 6:20Speaker 1: you you keep getting in situations, but he keep getting
- 6:23Speaker 1: you out now if you jump, look, listen to me. Hold,
- 6:27Speaker 1: let's say you in the frying pan and the skillet
- 6:30Speaker 1: and all is up and you and that frying and
- 6:32Speaker 1: you uncomfortable being fried God somehow. Or let's just say
- 6:38Speaker 1: you managed to get out of the hot grease in
- 6:42Speaker 1: the frying pan, and you standing that next to the skillet,
- 6:45Speaker 1: looking at the fire, continue to heat the grease, you
- 6:48Speaker 1: get out, and then for some unexplainable reason, you dived
- 6:54Speaker 1: right on back in there. Ain't that how we usually
- 6:57Speaker 1: do it. I'm just asking God, get you away from
- 7:02Speaker 1: the man you've been asking to get away from. Then
- 7:04Speaker 1: you go right back over there and start seeing him again.
- 7:08Speaker 1: It's amazing how many times God get us out the
- 7:12Speaker 1: fire and we walked right back in there. Ain't it amazing? Man?
- 7:17Speaker 1: I mean, really, man, see this high break life down
- 7:20Speaker 1: for me so I don't get over here stuck on,
- 7:23Speaker 1: stupid with myself, and then get to doing something ignorant
- 7:25Speaker 1: like blaming God. When really, man, God has given us,
- 7:29Speaker 1: as human beings, the power of decision, and we all
- 7:31Speaker 1: make decisions. How many times? Man? See, sometimes it's a blessing.
- 7:35Speaker 1: And getting locked up you can ask a lot of caps.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I know, man, to tell you, it was a blessing
- 7:40Speaker 1: for me, man, because I was just headed the wrong way, steady,
- 7:43Speaker 1: but he locked me up. Setting me down made me
- 7:46Speaker 1: miss my family, miss being out here, being a free man,
- 7:50Speaker 1: made me realize that my family was important. Made me, Man,
- 7:53Speaker 1: really see this girl for what she was. When I
- 7:56Speaker 1: get out, Man, I'm on a straight and narrow Well
- 7:59Speaker 1: then when you're hit out though, See, you can't be
- 8:01Speaker 1: talking about no. Oh man, I can't find no job.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Now I'm gonna go and do what I gotta do. No, no, no, no, no, partner,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you got to do now what you're supposed to do.
- 8:11Speaker 1: See that don't do what you gotta do got you
- 8:13Speaker 1: in trouble in the first place. See everybody, see see
- 8:16Speaker 1: the hood got a lot of ignorant rules. We didn't
- 8:18Speaker 1: create it. I gotta do what I gotta do. I
- 8:20Speaker 1: gotta feed my family. Well, the only reason you gotta
- 8:23Speaker 1: do what you gotta do is because you didn't do
- 8:25Speaker 1: what you were supposed to do. See if you just
- 8:27Speaker 1: went on to school like your mamma kept telling you.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Oh man, I was watching forty eight Hours yesterday and
- 8:33Speaker 1: the dude named Nesto was on that and Nesto Latino
- 8:37Speaker 1: Do said, Man, my mother told me quit hanging with
- 8:39Speaker 1: these guys. They were going nothing but trouble. I should
- 8:42Speaker 1: have listened to her. He doing thirty years right now.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You can't blame God. That's why I talk to myself
- 8:49Speaker 1: this way, so I don't get stupid and start shifting
- 8:52Speaker 1: to blame the wrong way when it's really on me.
- 8:55Speaker 1: How many times has God got you out of something
- 8:58Speaker 1: and you walk right back into it? Man, why don't
- 9:01Speaker 1: you take these blessings God give you and going about
- 9:04Speaker 1: your business? That be the best way to do it.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Don't you think That's what I think? So I thank
- 9:11Speaker 1: God my wife for reminding me that God got us anyway,
- 9:15Speaker 1: that God gonna pull you through anyway that. Have you noticed, Steve,
- 9:19Speaker 1: we ain't lost a beat. Oh. I know it's hard
- 9:22Speaker 1: out here, but really you ain't lost a beat. You're
- 9:24Speaker 1: still moving forward, You're still dressing nice, you still look
- 9:29Speaker 1: good when you come into that job. Everybody don't got
- 9:32Speaker 1: to know you. Your house is in bad shaping. All
- 9:35Speaker 1: that God got you, man, if you just hold your
- 9:38Speaker 1: head up, man, quit complaining all the time about what
- 9:41Speaker 1: you ain't got, And as in words of my daddy's
- 9:43Speaker 1: slick Harvey, stop talking about what you ain't got and
- 9:46Speaker 1: take a good look at what you do. God, that's
- 9:49Speaker 1: improper grammar, but that always stuck with me and maybe
- 9:52Speaker 1: it'll stick with you. Quit talking about and look at
- 9:54Speaker 1: what you ain't got to take a good look at
- 9:56Speaker 1: what you do. God, you're listening. Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome

- 21:08Speaker 1: right now it is time for Steve's favorite segment, asked
- 21:12Speaker 1: the CLO. This one is from Camille in Beaumont. Camille writes,
- 21:17Speaker 1: I've got a bone to pick with Junior. I heard
- 21:20Speaker 1: he was single, but he never answers his DMS. I
- 21:23Speaker 1: was in constant at an event the last time he
- 21:26Speaker 1: was in town, and I was trying desperately to meet him.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Why is it that the men pretend to be single
- 21:32Speaker 1: and ready to settle down and then I find out
- 21:34Speaker 1: they have a girlfriend. Is Junior a bachelor or not?
- 21:38Speaker 1: I need to know so I can move on with
- 21:40Speaker 1: my life. Yeah, Junior is a bachelor. Junior is single.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Now I'm gonna let Junior get in here for just
- 21:51Speaker 1: thirty second. Junior, do you know what your DMS are? No? Wait,
- 21:55Speaker 1: is it a buddy hight see right there? That's what
- 21:59Speaker 1: you need to know. Junior and me don't know what
- 22:04Speaker 1: the d em ME is. I know the d m V.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I know that, yeah, right, And we don't like nobody
- 22:12Speaker 1: down there because they don't like us. So naw, he
- 22:18Speaker 1: don't have a girlfriend, and naw, he ain't doing nothing crazy.
- 22:23Speaker 1: But you know, ladies, you know you you may not
- 22:26Speaker 1: be the answer to Junior. Proud Yeah to look at
- 22:35Speaker 1: dm Okay, Junior, check your d ms. But if you
- 22:40Speaker 1: go d M junior, d M A picture. Okay, because
- 22:46Speaker 1: what we ain't doing we ain't going by voices. We're
- 22:51Speaker 1: not doing it. We're not going back by voices and words. No,
- 22:56Speaker 1: this is all about physical attraction. No, that's all right.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Moving on to Roberta in Montgomery, I got a junior,
- 23:07Speaker 1: don't wear Roberta in Montgomery says, I've been seeing a
- 23:13Speaker 1: gentleman for a few months that I've never been invited
- 23:15Speaker 1: to his home. He will come to my house and
- 23:17Speaker 1: stay till around ten thirty and then leave, saying he's
- 23:20Speaker 1: got to get to bed. The other day I asked
- 23:23Speaker 1: if I could come tuck him in, and he turned
- 23:25Speaker 1: bright red. Is this guy hiding something? Or is he
- 23:27Speaker 1: afraid of me? I thought he might be married? So
- 23:29Speaker 1: how can I tell? Well, if he got to be
- 23:33Speaker 1: out of that by ten thirty, you have to figure
- 23:36Speaker 1: out how old he is. And if he got to
- 23:39Speaker 1: be out of that by ten thirty, then you know
- 23:42Speaker 1: he got to go home. You know, I mean, you
- 23:46Speaker 1: know who don't want to be tucked in for everybody?
- 23:52Speaker 1: And in order to get tucked in, it's gonna have
- 23:54Speaker 1: to be a lot of you know, Yeah, that a
- 23:59Speaker 1: lot of she some stuff got to be toe up
- 24:01Speaker 1: on my bed to get retucked in. You know, we
- 24:07Speaker 1: gotta be we you know, we gotta do some corna
- 24:10Speaker 1: tosson and stuff con ConA toussa. You know that's the
- 24:16Speaker 1: corner of the sheets, you know, the fitty sheets. You
- 24:19Speaker 1: gotta get some of them popped up on the edges.
- 24:21Speaker 1: That's when some things and got siss. And that when
- 24:23Speaker 1: that corner sheet come up off the edge of that matter,
- 24:26Speaker 1: things is going down in there. Yeah, that's her question.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Well he got to be out of that boy ten thirty.
- 24:35Speaker 1: You ask him, could you come tuck him in? He
- 24:38Speaker 1: turned bright red. Yeah, well I don't see if he
- 24:41Speaker 1: light scared that could happen. What that's got to do
- 24:45Speaker 1: with anything? I don't have no idea. But what the
- 24:48Speaker 1: bright red got to do with it? He turned bright
- 24:52Speaker 1: with maybe you need to start dating dark sky and man. Okay,
- 24:58Speaker 1: And obviously that bothers you. Something kind under way? Yes,
- 25:01Speaker 1: he married, Yeah, that's the question. We think he is married.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I don't know. You know, he don't have to be married.
- 25:08Speaker 1: He could be in a relationship. He could be seeing somebody.
- 25:10Speaker 1: It could be somebody waiting on him. I don't know,
- 25:13Speaker 1: maybe he might not be interested in you he come
- 25:16Speaker 1: over your house, but you know if he come over
- 25:18Speaker 1: your house and sleeping with you, but then he got
- 25:20Speaker 1: to leave at ten thirty and he got another relationship period.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Here here it exactly Charlship. Moving on to Terra in Philly,
- 25:29Speaker 1: she says, I'm a forty four year old married woman.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I have two children that are spoiled beyond belief by
- 25:36Speaker 1: my husband. Whenever I have to discipline them, I have
- 25:40Speaker 1: to become the mean parent. He told my seventeen year
- 25:43Speaker 1: old son that he's upgrading his two sixteen bing w
- 25:47Speaker 1: A twenty twenty one for Christmas. My fourteen year old
- 25:51Speaker 1: daughter is getting her entire room redone because she wants
- 25:54Speaker 1: a slave bed. I want to instill values in them,
- 25:57Speaker 1: and he's blowing it. How do I reel him in
- 26:00Speaker 1: with the gift? I don't know. I don't know that.
- 26:05Speaker 1: She usually me and normally don't do that. But I
- 26:08Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know. I mean, I mean, you know,
- 26:12Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know why he's playing Disney Dad.
- 26:15Speaker 1: If he lives there now, if he lives there with you,
- 26:20Speaker 1: then that's a conversation you can easily have if you
- 26:23Speaker 1: all are separated or divorce, then he's being Disney Dad.
- 26:29Speaker 1: You know, he showed up, you know, you know and
- 26:31Speaker 1: providing big moments. But did she says she lived with
- 26:34Speaker 1: him or they live in the same house. Well, I mean,
- 26:37Speaker 1: because that's why he's oh well, oh she said they're married. Yeah,
- 26:44Speaker 1: she's years old, married, forty four year old married woman. Yeah, okay,
- 26:49Speaker 1: Well then you know, just cut your husband off every
- 26:51Speaker 1: time he boyd himself down. Yeah, yeah, have been at
- 27:02Speaker 1: twenty sixteen, nice girl, slave bed, better lay in this
- 27:09Speaker 1: in that damn day bed. Yeah, we're not getting a slate.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Well the daughter wanted a slave bed, that's okay. The
- 27:18Speaker 1: entire room is getting seventeen year old boy would have
- 27:22Speaker 1: upgraded twenty twenty. BM fur what it must have money? Yeah, yeah,
- 27:30Speaker 1: all right, yeah, all right. Moving on to Tab in Michigan,
- 27:35Speaker 1: Tab writes, I'm thirty six and my husband is fifteen
- 27:39Speaker 1: years older than I am. He's slowing down in the bedroom,
- 27:42Speaker 1: so I've tried to be patient with him. I end
- 27:44Speaker 1: up finishing the ordeal on my own and he loves
- 27:47Speaker 1: to watch. I told him it's getting old and so
- 27:50Speaker 1: is he and hopes that it might motivate him to
- 27:53Speaker 1: seek medical attention. Instead, it made him think I'm going
- 27:57Speaker 1: to cheat on him, and he's very paranoid. Now that
- 28:00Speaker 1: hasn't crossed my mind. But do you think it might
- 28:02Speaker 1: help if he thinks I am Wow? Well, how do
- 28:07Speaker 1: you think that a help? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, how do
- 28:11Speaker 1: you think that a help? I think you'd be better
- 28:14Speaker 1: on pressed with this medical attention, you know, just go
- 28:18Speaker 1: that route, you know, But being critical, it's it's a
- 28:23Speaker 1: mental thing at that point. If you criticize the guy,
- 28:26Speaker 1: you know, they got fragile egos. Anyway, now he he
- 28:30Speaker 1: slowed down here, what it was? You know, that old thing?
- 28:34Speaker 1: You know, ain't nobody who they was? You know. I
- 28:38Speaker 1: praise God that I ain't who I was, because I
- 28:41Speaker 1: wouldn't be taking her head todayn Business, I'm here, Okay,

- 34:38Speaker 1: turn into a sermon? I want to thank the Lord
- 34:41Speaker 1: for this weather we have in because Lord, without weather,
- 34:45Speaker 1: there would be no rain, and without rain, that would
- 34:48Speaker 1: be no flowers, and without flowers there would be no beauty,
- 34:52Speaker 1: and without beauty there would be no women, and without well,
- 34:55Speaker 1: I didn't mean it like that, Lord, any women. I'm

- 35:05Speaker 1: nobody thanking that but his friend always turned every year
- 35:11Speaker 1: it turned on. Thank you Lord for this food we're
- 35:14Speaker 1: about to eat the hands that prepared it, and all
- 35:18Speaker 1: hands ain't the hands that need to be preparing food,

- 36:16Speaker 1: Thank you for jes right in gentle drinks and genial
- 36:22Speaker 1: even though I'm not supposed to be drinking anymore I've been.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Thank you Lord for being sober for thirty two years. Trine,
- 36:31Speaker 1: Lord man, all right, are you breaking it? Coming up
- 36:38Speaker 1: at thirty four minutes after the hour, Georgia voters, we
- 36:42Speaker 1: have work to do. We have work to do. We'll
- 36:44Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening to Steve
- 36:48Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve Harvey, Nation, stay woke.
- 36:54Speaker 1: This is for Georgia voters. Attention, attention, attention. According to
- 36:58Speaker 1: MSN dot com, when Democrats Stacy Abrams entered Georgia governor's
- 37:03Speaker 1: race last week, she cemented the state's position as a
- 37:07Speaker 1: key battleground where contentious issues like race, voting rights, and
- 37:11Speaker 1: the continued influence of former President Donald Trump will probably
- 37:15Speaker 1: dominate the campaign. In a statement, Republican Governor Kemp campaign
- 37:21Speaker 1: prevowed its previewed its strategy, saying it was in the
- 37:24Speaker 1: fight against Abrams, and the campaign also said it would
- 37:28Speaker 1: focus on Kemp's vision for how to keep Georgia the
- 37:31Speaker 1: best place to live, work and raise a family. To
- 37:34Speaker 1: stay woke Georgia, we have to vote. We have to
- 37:37Speaker 1: get Stacey Abrams in. Okay. I want you all to
- 37:40Speaker 1: understand something. Kemp is also the same guy who had
- 37:45Speaker 1: the woman arrested, who just knocked on the door when
- 37:50Speaker 1: they had that closed tearing. Kemp is also behind voter suppression.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Kemp is also behind fully the lie that the election
- 38:01Speaker 1: was stolen. Kemp was behind the recount all of this
- 38:07Speaker 1: man anything Donald Trump's. He's a Donald Trump puppet, he said,
- 38:15Speaker 1: he said before Stacy Abrams even ran, he said, We've
- 38:20Speaker 1: got to stop this woman. She is powerful, She is
- 38:25Speaker 1: for the people, all people of Georgia. She is responsible
- 38:30Speaker 1: for the huge, the one of the largest voter turnouts
- 38:33Speaker 1: and registrations, and we're going to reward her with the
- 38:37Speaker 1: seat in the governor's office. Kemp should not be governor
- 38:40Speaker 1: of the state of Georgia, period. And if we show
- 38:44Speaker 1: up and vote and we fight against all this voter
- 38:47Speaker 1: suppression that they're trying to put forward, y'all, this woman
- 38:51Speaker 1: can be governor. But it's gonna take all of us,
- 38:54Speaker 1: all the athletes, all the politicians, all the workers, all
- 38:58Speaker 1: the street cat all the people out there, everybody involved
- 39:03Speaker 1: in hip hop, everybody involved in on be. I don't
- 39:06Speaker 1: give it, Dan, what you in. We need you to
- 39:10Speaker 1: vote stuff. That's it. Yeah. She she came very close
- 39:17Speaker 1: last time, but this time we got to put her
- 39:19Speaker 1: in serious. So Georgia voters, you understand the assignment right
- 39:25Speaker 1: to go right now to Stacy Abrams dot com get
- 39:28Speaker 1: all the details on her campaign with your help, so
- 39:31Speaker 1: you'll be informed with your help. On November eighth, twenty
- 39:34Speaker 1: twenty two, Stacy Abrams will become the nation's first blackfeet
- 39:39Speaker 1: male governor. Yes, also, guys, listen to me. We need
- 39:44Speaker 1: to make donations. That's correct, even if it's a small donation.
- 39:50Speaker 1: We need to make donations. Campaigns are ran and few
- 39:54Speaker 1: by money. She needs campaign funding because them big boys
- 39:59Speaker 1: is gonna get behind Kemp that Trump money and all
- 40:03Speaker 1: out that. But we have enough people in this state
- 40:06Speaker 1: and around the country who can make a donation that
- 40:10Speaker 1: can make a difference. That's right, that's right. We can
- 40:14Speaker 1: do this. We can do this. And she has all
- 40:17Speaker 1: the donations information on her website, all that is there.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Just checked it out. Yeah, go again, I mean listens
- 40:27Speaker 1: dot com. We can make a huge statement, a huge statement,
- 40:36Speaker 1: do it. We got Mayor Dickens in it since her time. Now, Yes, yes,

- 51:22Speaker 1: could be Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it.
- 51:24Speaker 1: Poll you here. It is the strawb Every Letter subject,
- 51:27Speaker 1: I am emotionally drained. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a forty
- 51:31Speaker 1: two year old single mother of a son that is
- 51:34Speaker 1: twenty years old. My son's girlfriend just had a baby
- 51:38Speaker 1: that is fair skinned, and they both are chocolate. The
- 51:42Speaker 1: girl is twenty one and a dancer at a bar
- 51:44Speaker 1: across town. She says she's not a stripper, but that's
- 51:48Speaker 1: all she says. My son is afraid to ask the
- 51:50Speaker 1: girl for a paternity test, so I did. When my
- 51:54Speaker 1: son went to visit the baby, she jumped on him
- 51:57Speaker 1: and then called me and said, if I keep putting
- 51:59Speaker 1: my son up to this foolishness, I would be next.
- 52:02Speaker 1: I called her mother, who happens to go to church
- 52:05Speaker 1: with me, and I told her that her daughter is disrespectful.
- 52:08Speaker 1: She was not happy about the phone call and asked
- 52:11Speaker 1: if we could talk in person, so I invited her over.
- 52:15Speaker 1: She pulled up and ran up to my door and
- 52:17Speaker 1: yelled for me to come outside. She jumped on me
- 52:20Speaker 1: when I got in the front yard. I'm not a fighter,
- 52:23Speaker 1: so we rolled around in the yard while I kept
- 52:25Speaker 1: begging her to stop pulling my hair. My neighbor broke
- 52:29Speaker 1: us up and I ran inside. I called my son
- 52:32Speaker 1: and he called his girlfriend on a three way and
- 52:35Speaker 1: she said that I deserved to be beat up. I
- 52:38Speaker 1: reported the incident to the police, and they wouldn't come
- 52:41Speaker 1: out to do a report because it was between my
- 52:43Speaker 1: son and his girlfriend. I just don't want my son
- 52:46Speaker 1: to be caught up with a baby that isn't his.
- 52:49Speaker 1: I told my son that we'll just get the baby
- 52:51Speaker 1: one day and do a paternity test ourselves. Now it's
- 52:55Speaker 1: like my son is turning against me and telling me
- 52:57Speaker 1: to stay out of his business. I got beat up
- 53:00Speaker 1: for him, and this is how he repays me. It's
- 53:03Speaker 1: emotionally draining and I only want what's best for him.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Now he's planning to move in with this abusive woman
- 53:09Speaker 1: and ruin his life. Am I supposed to step aside
- 53:12Speaker 1: and let this girl and her mother make a fool
- 53:15Speaker 1: out of my son? What can I do to shake
- 53:19Speaker 1: some sense into him? Well, I don't know that there's
- 53:22Speaker 1: anything you can do, you know, much more than what
- 53:25Speaker 1: you've been doing right now, you know, unless you bring
- 53:28Speaker 1: his dad into it or something. But you already said
- 53:30Speaker 1: you're a single mother of this son. I know as
- 53:34Speaker 1: a mom this is hard, and it's going to continue
- 53:37Speaker 1: to be hard to what your son get sucked in
- 53:39Speaker 1: like this. But that's exactly what you're gonna have to do.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Step aside. You've tried everything, You've tried everything else. Nothing
- 53:47Speaker 1: has worked for you. So unless you want to get
- 53:49Speaker 1: another beat down from his crazy girlfriend and like you say,
- 53:53Speaker 1: her and her mother make a fool out of you
- 53:55Speaker 1: and all of that, you're gonna have to do just
- 53:57Speaker 1: what they say. Mind your own business this point. We
- 54:01Speaker 1: know you love your son and you only want the
- 54:03Speaker 1: best for him, that's quite obvious. But right now the
- 54:07Speaker 1: stripper is his world. He's sprung, he's whipped all of
- 54:11Speaker 1: the above, and he's trying not to hear anything you
- 54:15Speaker 1: his mom have to say. And as much as this hurts,
- 54:18Speaker 1: sometimes you just have to let go and let people
- 54:21Speaker 1: learn their lessons themselves. Because he's not listening right now
- 54:25Speaker 1: to you, He's not listening to what you have to say.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Experience is always the best teacher. Later on, if he
- 54:32Speaker 1: finds out that the baby's not his and he's being
- 54:35Speaker 1: played by this girl, I mean, so we don't even
- 54:37Speaker 1: know that. I mean, you know, he might still want
- 54:41Speaker 1: to be with her, you know, that's the other thing.
- 54:43Speaker 1: He might still want to be with her and help
- 54:45Speaker 1: her raise the child. And yes, you could get the
- 54:49Speaker 1: baby and get the paternity to test on your own.
- 54:52Speaker 1: You could do all of that, but you might lose
- 54:54Speaker 1: your son in the process, but you've lost him already
- 54:57Speaker 1: to this girl for right now anyway. So yeah, mom,
- 55:02Speaker 1: I think you've done all you can. And your son
- 55:04Speaker 1: didn't even defend you when his girlfriend beat you up,
- 55:08Speaker 1: and that's up. Well, I read a different letter, seems
- 55:15Speaker 1: like so. I guess I always see some higne. So
- 55:19Speaker 1: I have a couple of questions. Now, she's emotionally drained.
- 55:22Speaker 1: It's a forty two year old single mother's son is twenty.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Your son's girlfriend just had a baby that's fast skin,
- 55:29Speaker 1: and they both are chocolate. Now, listen, we all know that,
- 55:35Speaker 1: you know, through the chromosomes and all that stuff, that
- 55:38Speaker 1: you can skip a generation and look like a grandmother
- 55:42Speaker 1: on or something different colors. But we got to look
- 55:45Speaker 1: into this though. Two chocolate people having a light skinned baby.
- 55:50Speaker 1: We need to look into this. I understand the girl
- 55:54Speaker 1: is twenty one and a huh, you don't add up
- 55:58Speaker 1: on it. I know we gotta look canto it. Now.
- 56:00Speaker 1: This girl is twenty one and a dancer at a
- 56:03Speaker 1: bar across town. She says she's not a stripper. Let's
- 56:06Speaker 1: discuss this for a minute. Yeah, if you're a dancer
- 56:10Speaker 1: at a bar, I think they stopped go go dancing
- 56:15Speaker 1: a long time ago. You know where you be up
- 56:18Speaker 1: in a cage on the end of the bar. I
- 56:21Speaker 1: think they stopped at a long time ago. So if
- 56:26Speaker 1: you're a dancer at a ball in today's society, you
- 56:30Speaker 1: gotta take your clothes off because I ain't go go boots.
- 56:34Speaker 1: I ain't seen him in stores no more with the
- 56:37Speaker 1: mini skirts, So I'm pretty show you are stripple. My
- 56:41Speaker 1: son is afraid to ask this girl for a paternity test,
- 56:44Speaker 1: so I did. Then when your son went to visit
- 56:48Speaker 1: the baby, she jumped on him and then called me
- 56:50Speaker 1: and said, I keep putting my son up to this foolishness.
- 56:52Speaker 1: I would be next. Okay, so she jumped on it. Okay,
- 56:57Speaker 1: she's abusing. I called her mother, and the hit good part.
- 57:00Speaker 1: I call his mother, who happens to go to church
- 57:02Speaker 1: with me, and I told her that her daughter is disrespectful.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Now see, listen to me. This is why I have
- 57:08Speaker 1: a question, because it could go two ways. After he
- 57:12Speaker 1: called the lady, she called the lady to go to
- 57:15Speaker 1: church with her and told her that her daughter is disrespectful.
- 57:19Speaker 1: She was not happy about the phone call and asked
- 57:22Speaker 1: if we can talk in person, so I invited her over.
- 57:26Speaker 1: Now I'm thinking right here, she's talking about the girl's mother.
- 57:31Speaker 1: That's what I was thinking, that she was talking about
- 57:35Speaker 1: the girl's mother. She called on the phone and talked
- 57:39Speaker 1: to her in person, And when I come back, I'm
- 57:40Speaker 1: gonna tell you what I think happened. All right, we'll
- 57:43Speaker 1: have part two of Steve's response coming up twenty three
- 57:45Speaker 1: minutes after Strawberry letter subject I Am emotionally drained. We'll
- 57:51Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening show,
- 57:57Speaker 1: all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter
- 58:00Speaker 1: subject I am emotionally drained. All right, we got a
- 58:04Speaker 1: forty two year old ladies, got a twenty year old
- 58:06Speaker 1: son that's dating a stripple who says she's not a stripple.
- 58:10Speaker 1: She's a dancer at a ball. I don't know who
- 58:13Speaker 1: keep that clothes on anymore these days while they dancing
- 58:16Speaker 1: in balls. But hell, most of the women that go
- 58:19Speaker 1: to balls is half neck and when they get there,
- 58:22Speaker 1: so I already know if you are dancer who got
- 58:24Speaker 1: to be stripping anyway. She says she's not a stripper.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Son is afraid to ask. They had a light skinned
- 58:31Speaker 1: baby in both of them. Chop, your son afraid to
- 58:34Speaker 1: ask her the paternity test. So you asked a girl
- 58:36Speaker 1: for a paternity test. When your son went over that
- 58:38Speaker 1: pickup baby, the girl jumped on him and said, couldn't
- 58:41Speaker 1: letting your mama put stuff like this in your head,
- 58:44Speaker 1: and then told her, mama, if you keep interfeiting my business,
- 58:46Speaker 1: you're gonna be next. So the lady who's forty two
- 58:51Speaker 1: called her mother, the stripper's mama, who happens to go
- 58:55Speaker 1: to church with me, and I told her that her
- 58:57Speaker 1: daughter's disrespectful. She was happy about the phone call and
- 59:02Speaker 1: ask if we can talk in person, So I invited
- 59:04Speaker 1: her over the right here, I'm thinking this is all
- 59:07Speaker 1: she's talking to the stripper's mother. She pulled up, ran
- 59:11Speaker 1: to my door and yelled for me to come outside. Now,
- 59:15Speaker 1: if this is not the mother, if this is the stripper,
- 59:18Speaker 1: then we're dealing with the people that person that don't
- 59:20Speaker 1: know how to tell stories because we have some information
- 59:25Speaker 1: that's confusing. No, I don't I think see. I'm thinking
- 59:32Speaker 1: she's talking about the girl's mother according to this letter
- 59:34Speaker 1: so far, but then later on she changes it. It
- 59:37Speaker 1: makes it sound like it was a little girl that
- 59:40Speaker 1: jumped on So I'm confused about the lady writing a
- 59:43Speaker 1: letter anyway, That's all I'm saying. So when she came,
- 59:47Speaker 1: she told you to yelling for you to come outside.
- 59:49Speaker 1: She jumped on me when I got in the front yard.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Now I'm not a fighter, so we rolled around in
- 59:54Speaker 1: the yard while I kept begging her to stop pulling
- 59:57Speaker 1: my head. Then let me teach yourself. Man. Begging is
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: not a good fight technique. It usually does not work
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: out for the big up because it empowers the person
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: that's issue in the ass whipping. So it's best not
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: to the empowered them with please please stop you kicking me.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: You're whipping my ass too good. This is this is
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: not what I do. I'm not a fighter, so it
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: makes them go harder because oh yeah, I'm knocking the
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: ass out. So I would just suggest that next time
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: you get in the fight, please do not big it
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: don't look good. They don't need a big and then
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: take the ass. Who one yet your ass get your
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: ass whipping. Stop this begging, quietly noting to do this
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: to be shame me and bass me beating my ass.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Just make it look like you're trying. She got her too.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: She grabbing your hair, you grabbed her. Hell anyway, my
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: neighbor broke us up and I ran inside. I called
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: my son and he called his girlfriend on the three
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: way and she said that I deserved to be beat up.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: See I'm thinking when she ran in the house and
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: called her son, he called his girlfriend on a three
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: way and she said I deserve to be beat up,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: which made me think it was the girl's mama that
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: was in the yard fighting the whole time. Because we
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: ran in the house and got the girl on the
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: three way, the girl would have been in the yard
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: still fighting the mama. See. So I reported the incident
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: to the police and they wouldn't come out to do
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: a report because of between my son and his girlfriend.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: This is another piece of important information. Anytime you called
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: the police and they don't come out to handle a
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: domestic dispute that was a fight, you must live deep,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: deep deep in the hood. Called police have to come
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: out to investigate any domestic violence, especially neighbors involved breaking
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: up fights. So now we already know the police ain't coming.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: That's a hood move, thank you very much. And then
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: she says, and they wouldn't come out because between my
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: son and his girlfriend. I just don't want my son
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: to be caught up with the baby that isn't his.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I understand that. I told my son would just get
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: the baby one day and do the paternity test ourselves. No,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: it's like my son is turning against me and telling
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: me to stay out of his business. Well you should.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I got beat up for him, and this is how
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: he repays me. No, you got beat up because you
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: went out the house. See when people call you out,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: you said you're not a fighter. See when people drive
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: up to your house and say come outside, come out here? No, no,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: me me in the front them? It is fighting words.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Why did you take your non fighting ass out there?
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: She would never think that the girl would jump on her.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: The girl mama that go to her church, whooped her ass.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Shirley stopped saying the girl that's what I got. Now
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: he's planning to move in with this abusive woman and
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: ruin his life. Am I supposed to step aside and
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: let this girl and her mother make a fool out
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: of myself? What can I do to shake up. Said,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: all right, first of all, he miss playing too. This
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: is not going to ruin your son's life. This is
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: a lesson that both of you. You're gonna have to
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: let him learn. Like Shirley said, the best lesson is
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: a bout lesson. You're gonna let him have to buy
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: this one. Let him go move in with the girl.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: You be a loving grandmother. When the baby come over,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: swab the baby mouth, put the swab in a plastic
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: bag and get a damn DNA test. Then when the
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: result come back, don't say nothing guilt, just leave. Get
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: copies of it and posted on Facebook. Let the church say, man, man, man,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: thank you for calling. Thank you. Steve. Un Today's Strawberry

- 1:04:57Speaker 1: give me a drum roll. I just this is in
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: go ahead, they give me this drum roll because this
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: is this happened on Sunday. You wasn't here using the
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: bye you had no idea. You can't watch no football
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: over here. No, but today if you don't know if
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: your team want to lift, we don't even care. You
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: ought to know. But this is important because Detroit Lions
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: got their first win of the safe. Come on, come on,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: come on over the Minnesota Vikings just like the Super
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Bowl for them off they got a victory. They are
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: now and one what I had a tie to they
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: could have won that game. Troy got some fighters from
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: their team. Man, man, I'm talking about Jared golf last
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: second plate touchdown, take the lea, this is it. Twenty
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: nine twenty seven were proud of Detroit. I'm telling you, man,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: this was important. I know it feels like it feels
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: like the super Bowl for them because the last time
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: they wore the game was December six of twenty twenty.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Lord had mercies almost been a year. Well, hey, hey,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I'm sorry, that's not what we're talking about right now. Now,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I wanted to give a shot to Detroit. Man, y'all
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: earn that also up the college football playoffs is sent.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: You got Alabama number one, Michigan number two, you got
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: uh Georgia three, and then you got Cincinnati at fat
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: that's college football. Wow, they put Cincinnati in it. They
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: put cincinati e big. I'm surprised. I know you ain't
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: seen nothing. So who is your pick? Now? Who is
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: your pick? Who I want to win is to Cinderella team.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: I won't Cincinnati to win, but it's no where in
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: hell they're gonna with Alabama. It ain't no way in hell.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: What about Michigan and Georgia. Well, I love Georgia though,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Georgia ball in this year, man, So yeah, hey man,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: I think Georgia got a shot though against Alabama. So
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: who's playing? Is it Cincinnati playing against Alabama? Cincinnati? And
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: then you got Michigan, okay, and Georgia. Now you know,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Georgia just lost to Alabama. Say in SEC championship game.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: They just lost. But what was the score. So it's
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: gonna be good. It's gonna be good. We're gonna see.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I need to know the score in the Commercia. I'm
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: gonna get you thing. They're no football over there where
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: you in? No, I thank you. You're coming up at
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Do you know someone who's
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: holding on to anger? We're gonna talk about it right
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: after this. You're listening. Actress Janet Hubert. You know her
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: as the original Aunt Vivian from the Fresh Prince of
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: bel Air. Right well, she recently shared that she's been
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: hospitalized okay, and she posted this message. She says, don't
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: waste precious time people in anger. Yes, people will do
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: you wrong, and you must fight for truth no matter
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: how long. And if you can get the truth, you
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: seek find love again, as we have all right, that's
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: her message after being hospitalized. Okay, so Steve, here's the
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: question or the situation. Let's try to help some people
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: who are holding onto anger. Now. According to pick the
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: brain dot com, here's what some experts say why people
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: hold onto anger. Why do you think they say? I
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: don't know, it's just people don't I mean, people hold
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: on the anger because people won't closure oftentimes. You know,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: people want an apology from somebody that ain't gonna be apologetic.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: People won't closure from somebody ain't gonna get closure. And
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: that's why I think people hang on to anger because
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: they want some type of feeling of redemption that may
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: not come. And it's their way of hanging on to
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: show them that you're not gonna get away with this.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: But in essence, you're just doing a disservice to yourself.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Uh huh. And I'm not fully I'm not fully agreeing
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: with what this woman is saying. I mean, I understand
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: and and and let it go until you find your truth.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Sometimes you ain't gonna know the truth. Sometimes you gotta
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: lets stuff go. Man. But once again, that trying to
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: find that truth is looking for closure. Won't everybody know
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: what really happened to me and all that and when
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: in essence after people you think care, I don't really care.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Go ahead, Shelly, all right. This is again according to
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: pick the brain dot com. Tommy won't be commenting on
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: this and what do you want me to say? Nothing? Nothing?
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Right down right right. This is according to pick the
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: brain dot Com. They say it's easy to hold onto
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: those negative experiences versus the positive ones because it makes
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: us feel safe. Uh. They say, anger is uh is
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: one first emotion we feel from birth. Our anger saves
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: us from having to it we are hurt. That would
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: make us feel vulnerable and unsafe. It can also make
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: us feel in control. If we hold onto that anger,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: only we can decide we are not too angry to
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: talk to the person who hate who hurt us. Even
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: if he or she wants to move past it, they
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: can't get past it unless we do. We can make
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: them feel guilty for hurting us for as long as
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: we want. That's that control thing, right. I understand the
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: control part of it. I don't. I don't understand the
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: safe part, but I do agree with the control part.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: And pick the brain dot Com also says holding onto
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: anger allows us to get sympathy from others. If we're
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: to be honest with ourselves, it can make us feel
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: really good when someone asks what's wrong, you know, and
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: then we shrug and say, oh, nothing, knowing they'll continue
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: asking what's wrong? Hung, Well, Chelotte, let's pick the brain
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: of a personal now show who holds the most anger?
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Why don't we just ask Tommy? Tommy, why do you
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: hold on? I don't hold anger. I let it out.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: I don't hold it at all? What's what? What am
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I hold? I ain't holding no grudge. I'm gonna let
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: you know how I feel about it immediately. I ain't
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: holding no, damn, ain't going to the hospital. But I'm
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: because I'm holding that. What I'm referring to is the
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: length of time that you will continually let a person know.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: It's what we're talking about. Yeah, well if I if
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I see them, yeah, we might won't let them know.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I ain't from Jack. So you you're you're remindful anger?
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: I ain'tle gold. I just remind you ain't forgotten what
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you did? What what is anger unless you let somebody
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: know you ain'try? Yeah? Yeah, get it out, let it out? No, No,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: you hold grudge y'all used to somebody crossing y'all, and
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: y'all cool with that. I ain't cool with somebody crossing
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: me up. I'm sorry, I'm not I'm not cool with
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: all right, you will have more even if you rope
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: the funk distillary for me. I'm giving a ticket straight
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: not see man right now? All right, more of today's
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: trending stories coming up on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: We'll be back at twenty minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to show. Okay, guys in trending
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: weird news, and this is really really weird, Okay. A
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: British collector of World War Two military artifacts recently rushed
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: himself to the hospital for a problem he had with
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: his arsenal. Emergency room doctors had to call in a
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: bomb squad after the man showed up with a World
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: War Two era anti tank shell lodged in his butt.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Doing he explains to the doctors that he had been
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: moving some items in his collection when he fell and
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: landed on the fifty seven millimeter artillery shell, which became stuck.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: That's not true, I mean, that's not true. That's a lie,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: he told at the hospital. You ain't fell on no
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: damn shell, and it got lige boy stopped. You're so
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: excited about your collection. Your collection means so much to you.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: You saw this all the fact that you hadn't seen
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: this all, my goodness. I find the push this shell,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: I find the stuff it pack it. This is mine.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: I've been looking for this shell. Oh my goodness. And
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: then when he got stuck, he told he fell on
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: you ain't fell on that, damn. Oh my god. The
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: bomb squad came and the police came and they safely
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: removed the device. All right, we'll have more a Steve
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three minutes after

- 1:14:28Speaker 1: I know, I never have fried food again. I can't
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: take a shower, hot show, hot show? Well, who on

- 1:14:41Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't they do No I'm through it.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: The fraction I need to show. I take too many
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: a day. I need a shower. It can't be. Yeah,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: we learned yesterday. Your nephew takes three showers a day.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Stop letting him tell y'all that live with it before
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: taking no damn three showers a day. You got some
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: stuff to He got radio show, he got radio show,

- 1:15:23Speaker 1: Hold up, hold, let me paint this picture for you.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: He got four hour radio show? Did he do every day?

- 1:15:34Speaker 1: He got kids, he got to go to baseball games with,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: He got to go to problems and stuff with. He

- 1:15:51Speaker 1: know all that? I got motied, he got they got
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: no time for no damn three showers a day. Gotta

- 1:16:07Speaker 1: I get hold Sometimes I fall asleep in my office.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Ain't gonna be no damn showers now sitting up in here,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: sitting up here, you just like my style. That's Elly
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: with his little simple ass over over doing it all
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: this hardes notion and baby in his damn to get
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: your loveing gold man sitting up in here, rubbing all
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: tween your damn toad. Put some all on your foot
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: and let's go sitting up here like he takes all
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: this damn showers man, You ain't that damn clean. We
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: got the gold all right? All right, next one, let
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: him tell you that. Go ahead. But you rather have
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: the ability to read mind? Or did you rather have
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: the ability to move object with your mind? You want
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: to read mind? Or would you want to want to read?
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: I know you don't like me all I don't need
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: to read you. No, I don't need that. I want
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: to move stuff with my mind. All right, Walk on
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: that mailbox over in front of your ass to watch
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: coming at forty nine minutes after the hour. It's our
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: last break of the day, and we'll get some closing
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, guys here we are last
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: break of the day on this Tuesday. Wow this day
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: with by Quitty pretty quickly for us. Huh yep, thank
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: you for listening. Good day, Steve. You's still loving Dubie. Um. Yeah,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I'm kind of all over the place a little bit.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Um just got a lot of things to do with
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: the expo. Today is a y'all youth entrepreneurship conference that
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: I head up, and then tomorrow I head up a
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: religious conference to discuss the different religions with some key people. Yeah.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: I mean, you know, most of my stance is pretty good.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: I respect all faiths, uh and and I just asked
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: you to respect mine too, you know. And this is
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: a Muslim country, but they're the most respectful people I've
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: ever been around in terms of Christianity and Judaism and
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: all of that. Abu Dhabi has a church and moss
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: together and they even named it. I get the name
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: for you tomorrow when I go to Abu Dhabi. But
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: that it's very open to all faiths because Dubai has
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: a one hundred and sixty cultures here, I mean, so
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: they've got to be open to accepting because of the
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: ten million people that live in the UAE, I've understood.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: I hope I'm quoting this right. Only three million of
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: them are born here. The other seven million trans transfer
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: transported transplants, whatever the word is. Yeah, So that's an
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: interesting thing. One of the things I want to do
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: in my closing this Because I was on IGD other day,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: this white minister came out. I have no idea what
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: his name was, but he was talking about prayer. It
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: was really really important what he said. It really struck
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: a nerve with me. He said, when most people pray,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: eighty percent of their prayers are based on needs, you know,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: a need for healing, a need for financial assurance, a
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: need for help, a need for reassurance, a need. And
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: he's as that. He wasn't judging that that's important, he said,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: But when you constantly go to God with your needs
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: what he wants you to do, and that's all you do,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: you remove an important element. He said, if you would
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: turn your prayer around and make eighty percent of your
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: prayer about gratitude and then twenty percent for what you need,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: because you do need prayer to help you with life
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: challenges and setbacks and life's decisions. Even but he was
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: saying when you spend eighty percent of that based on that,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: you remove so much gratitude from it that you don't
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: allow for your mindset to be accepting of God's will
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: and what He's done for you. That's what I'm paraphrasing.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: What he said that helped me understand it, and I
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: was thinking about it, and I thought about how true
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: that was because oftentimes when we pray, and I know
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: I'm guilty of it myself, I spend a lot of
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: time in my prayer telling God what I want and
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: what I need, and I mean in terms of understanding
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: his presence, you know, decisions I got to make, you know,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: goals and aspirations I'm trying to reach. And I always
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: opened my prayers with gratitude, but I don't I may
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: not be spending enough time with the gratitude aspect of it.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: It's what I my takeaway with what this guy was saying,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: and I just wanted to offer that to you all
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: as a thought to start thinking about spending more time
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: in whichever way you pray, with being more grateful for
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: what you have, because I've said just a million times,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: the more grateful you are, the more grateful, the more
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: grateful you are, the more things God will give you
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: to be grateful for. That's a true thing. So it's
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: just a thought starter, just for people to think about.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: In terms of praying, don't forget the gratitude aspect of it.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Don't forget to, you know, spend a large portion of
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: what you're praying about, you know, to be in terms
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: of gratitude. It just makes a lot of sense. I
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: have so many things to be grateful for, and I
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: don't think I spend enough time talking to about all
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: those things. So I just wanted to share that with
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: y'all this morning, just something for you to might want
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: to think about. That may work for you, that may
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: not work for you, because I do understand the need factor,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: especially when you need so many things that I don't
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: know who else to ask for Him for. So I'm
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: kind of taking what he said and understanding too that
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: there is a great need that you should go to
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Him for everything. But I just think that just be
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: a little bit more of a balance with the gratitude
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: aspect of it. I just want to share that. Those
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: are my closing remarks, so you feel me or everybody's team.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Everybody good, absolutely, man. Yeah, So pray for what we want,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: you know. And I like what you said about the gratitude. Yeah,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I know I do. I do a lot, but I
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: always opened my prayer with gratitude, always thinking first. But
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: I'm finding that I may not be doing it enough
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: on the gratitude side, because He also knows what you need.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: What I stopped doing, though, was keep asking for the
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: same thing over and over, repeatedly, repeatedly, repeatedly, repeating, because
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: I think God hurt me and I think he's sending
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: the blessing if I just had to stay in peace
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: and patience now and weight on to see what he's
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: got to do. Keep your faith. So yeah, that's it. Yeah,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: great message message because it because it's plenty to pray
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: about on a daily basis, you ain't gonna run out.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: That's how we communicate with God through prayer. Yeah. Open, Well,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: y'all have a great day. We see y'all. The mom
