- 0:09Speaker 2: at all, So.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Don't given them back a million bush?
- 0:23Speaker 4: Yeah, listening to.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Show, I don't joy? Well, yeah, Joy, you gotta use that.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You turn, you gotta turn to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I probably got to turn the mouth out of the money.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you think that, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:07Speaker 2: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 2: radio show. Okay. I want to share something with you
- 2:16Speaker 2: that I had to come to the realization one time,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and even in the reinvention of myself right now, I've
- 2:22Speaker 2: had to come to that and I want to share
- 2:24Speaker 2: it with you today. Give it to you. I want
- 2:28Speaker 2: to tell you about something that a lot of people
- 2:30Speaker 2: do in their life and I want you to be
- 2:33Speaker 2: aware of it. Here it is, don't get stuck on yourself.
- 2:39Speaker 2: You could be wrong.
- 2:40Speaker 5: You know.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I said, don't get stuck on yourself. You could be wrong.
- 2:51Speaker 6: You know.
- 2:54Speaker 2: The reason I'm saying this is because people have a
- 3:00Speaker 2: tendency to once they make a decision about something, or
- 3:05Speaker 2: once they decide to go a certain path. They go
- 3:09Speaker 2: against all everything, anything anybody says, anything anybody might do,
- 3:16Speaker 2: any other ruling they may come across. They shun advice,
- 3:23Speaker 2: They don't listen to counsel. They just I made the decision.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it anyway. Don't get stuck on yourself.
- 3:36Speaker 2: You could be wrong, you know. Now here's a sure
- 3:40Speaker 2: fire way to tell if you're wrong. If you don't
- 3:46Speaker 2: see any movement in the direction you've chosen, if you
- 3:53Speaker 2: don't see anything going right in that decision, If you
- 4:01Speaker 2: feel as though you're in a rut, if the wall
- 4:06Speaker 2: you're climbing seems so insurmountable that you ain't even moving
- 4:12Speaker 2: an inch, and every time you turn around you keep
- 4:15Speaker 2: getting knocked by down, knocked back down. Don't get stuck
- 4:18Speaker 2: on yourself. You know you could be wrong, you know. See,
- 4:22Speaker 2: that's why it's important for people to always be open
- 4:27Speaker 2: to the reinvention of yourself. You know, you cannot be
- 4:31Speaker 2: afraid to reinvent yourself. In other words, you can't be
- 4:37Speaker 2: afraid to change. Change is necessary when it comes to growth.
- 4:43Speaker 2: There is no growth without change. The more you know,
- 4:49Speaker 2: the older you look, that is no growth without change.
- 4:56Speaker 2: If you're heading in a direction. It ain't nothing going
- 4:58Speaker 2: right in your life? Could it be the wrong If
- 5:02Speaker 2: you're climbing and you're making no headway, could it be
- 5:05Speaker 2: the wrong direction? Could you have possibly made the wrong choice.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Don't get stuck on yourself cause you done made the
- 5:13Speaker 2: wrong It's okay to forgive yourself. It's okay to let
- 5:17Speaker 2: yourself off the hook. It's even smarter sometimes to admit
- 5:21Speaker 2: that you were wrong. You ever met somebody ain't ever wrong?
- 5:25Speaker 2: Have you ever met somebody you talk to? They ain't
- 5:27Speaker 2: ever wrong about nothing? Man, They just it's they way
- 5:31Speaker 2: or the highway. It's this is my way, this is
- 5:34Speaker 2: the I know people like that, stuck on them power
- 5:37Speaker 2: trips and all like that. You know what I had
- 5:39Speaker 2: to learn how to do. I had to learn how
- 5:41Speaker 2: to let them go on them power trips. But listen
- 5:43Speaker 2: to this. Though you're not taking me on that trip.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Though you going on that trip by yourself, I'm going
- 5:49Speaker 2: in the right direction. I decided to stop the way. Okay,
- 5:54Speaker 2: listen to this person. This person, I decided to stop
- 5:58Speaker 2: doing business the way I was doing business. I decided
- 6:02Speaker 2: to stop to allow business being done around me the
- 6:06Speaker 2: way business was being done around me. You know, the
- 6:09Speaker 2: best decision I made was to allow for God to
- 6:15Speaker 2: have some say so and to offer me his direction.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I have found him to be a better driver than
- 6:23Speaker 2: anyone else I know. I have found him to know
- 6:27Speaker 2: more about the man he made than anybody else who's
- 6:33Speaker 2: merely associating with me. I have found it to be
- 6:37Speaker 2: a fact that my maker knows more about the vehicle
- 6:41Speaker 2: he created than does anybody else. If your Chevy break,
- 6:46Speaker 2: don't you take it to Chevy. You don't take your
- 6:49Speaker 2: Forward when it breaks down to a Toyota dealership. They
- 6:53Speaker 2: not gonna know everything that the Ford dealership would know
- 6:56Speaker 2: about the vehicle. You know why, because they're not the
- 6:59Speaker 2: maker of it it. So, now, why are you letting?
- 7:02Speaker 2: You're letting your life being led, controlled and guided by
- 7:07Speaker 2: somebody other than your maker. I'm just asking you to
- 7:12Speaker 2: let's all take a common sense look at this. So,
- 7:15Speaker 2: if going to your maker is the best way, the
- 7:17Speaker 2: best decision I made in my business was take over
- 7:21Speaker 2: my brand myself and to allow the maker of this brand.
- 7:26Speaker 2: See without God, I'm none of this. I'm none of this.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I want you to clearly understand I ain't none of
- 7:32Speaker 2: this without him. I wish I could have the guts
- 7:36Speaker 2: to reach back there and pat myself on the back
- 7:39Speaker 2: for what I've accomplished in my life. I wish I
- 7:42Speaker 2: had the guts. I wish the nerve of me because
- 7:46Speaker 2: I know for a fact that there is no way
- 7:49Speaker 2: that I could have manufactured the life that I have.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I could not even have thought of it. It's no
- 7:56Speaker 2: way I could have told you that this was the
- 7:58Speaker 2: route I was gonna take, and this is the outcome
- 8:00Speaker 2: because of it. I had no idea, no clue. The
- 8:04Speaker 2: one thing I had, though, was an unshakable faith in God.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I had an un and I just kept believing in him.
- 8:14Speaker 2: I kept believing that he had something more for me.
- 8:18Speaker 2: And then when I touched base with him and asked
- 8:21Speaker 2: him to show me what it is what he had
- 8:22Speaker 2: for me, Tada, the magic show began. Because you know
- 8:27Speaker 2: what he did. He took all my natural abilities that
- 8:30Speaker 2: he had given to me, This gift that he gave me,
- 8:33Speaker 2: that he poured into me at birth, that same gift
- 8:36Speaker 2: that he poured into you at birth. The moment you
- 8:40Speaker 2: go to him and let him show you that gift,
- 8:43Speaker 2: and then guess what. Once he takes what he naturally
- 8:46Speaker 2: put in you and put his super his superpowers on
- 8:50Speaker 2: top of that. Then you have some supernatural things going
- 8:53Speaker 2: on in your life and you may not be feeling me.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I'm cool with that, but I done have some supernatural
- 9:02Speaker 2: things happen to me. Every day I wake up some
- 9:06Speaker 2: supernatural the man, the rewards of my life, the awards
- 9:11Speaker 2: of my life, the accomplishments, the how I'm working, the
- 9:14Speaker 2: how I manage it. All, all that ain't nothing but God.
- 9:18Speaker 2: That ain't nothing but God. You can't even explain this
- 9:20Speaker 2: schedule to people. Sometimes when people ask me, Steve, how
- 9:23Speaker 2: do you do it? I go, well, this is when
- 9:25Speaker 2: I manage my time. Then at the end of when
- 9:26Speaker 2: I get through, I say, hey, man, you know what
- 9:28Speaker 2: I need to tell y'all for real, it's God. I
- 9:30Speaker 2: don't really know, but I'm letting him manage me. So
- 9:34Speaker 2: he handling it. He ain't gonna put no more on
- 9:36Speaker 2: me than I can bear. Listen to me, y'all, don't
- 9:38Speaker 2: be afraid to reinvent yourself and remember this. Don't get
- 9:42Speaker 2: stuck on yourself because you could be wrong. You know,
- 9:47Speaker 2: you absolutely could be wrong. If you don't tie this
- 9:51Speaker 2: to your gift, you will be struggling the rest of
- 9:55Speaker 2: your life.
- 9:55Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, everybody from around the world.
- 10:06Speaker 2: You are listening right now to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Man,
- 10:10Speaker 2: ain't nothing like it.
- 10:12Speaker 6: Now.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Look, there are other morning shows out there, and you
- 10:14Speaker 2: free to do what you want to do. But the
- 10:16Speaker 2: fact that you chose to ride with us this morning, well,
- 10:19Speaker 2: we appreciate it that We're gonna try to do our
- 10:21Speaker 2: best to first of all, have gratitude to remind you
- 10:26Speaker 2: of your spiritual element in this life. You've got to
- 10:29Speaker 2: have God. Man, Please, y'all. I ain't beating you over
- 10:32Speaker 2: the head with it. Okay, well I am. I'm beating
- 10:34Speaker 2: you over the head with it. You need the Lord. Man.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Mess this thing up. Man, you too close to the gate.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Come on now, there ain't nothing wrong with having a
- 10:44Speaker 2: relationship with God. Don't nobody fool you. God is necessary, man,
- 10:48Speaker 2: do you feel me? I mean, He is necessary. You're
- 10:52Speaker 2: gonna run up into some way. It can't be nobody
- 10:55Speaker 2: but God. Now what you're gonna do? Then, well, what
- 10:58Speaker 2: have you done? Well, let me tell you what you did.
- 11:00Speaker 2: He probably carried you through it anyway, because he's full
- 11:02Speaker 2: of grace and mercy and he's forgiving God, and he
- 11:05Speaker 2: knows sometimes you're stupid and you're gonna do some old
- 11:08Speaker 2: ignorant mess and then you gonna then when he brings
- 11:11Speaker 2: you through it, and now you're gonna sit up and
- 11:12Speaker 2: talking about who I'm made it through that? You ain't
- 11:14Speaker 2: made it through nothing. He carried you over them hot coals.
- 11:18Speaker 2: He came and got you out of that rushing water.
- 11:21Speaker 2: That was that's grace. Okay, Well, just about to turn
- 11:26Speaker 2: into something else. Hope y'all feel hot this morning. You
- 11:29Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. Welcome to the riot, y'all. Shirley
- 11:32Speaker 2: Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica. First day I've ever
- 11:36Speaker 2: seen Monica drag in to work after the production and
- 11:42Speaker 2: all that, first time ever. We'll find out what's going
- 11:45Speaker 2: on with that. Well, I ain't got to find out
- 11:47Speaker 2: what's going on with him. Junior to come back kid,
- 11:52Speaker 2: all right now? The legend that he is, nephew, Tommy junr.
- 11:57Speaker 2: It's going on with your little pimp, Oh man, I'm
- 12:00Speaker 2: good man.
- 12:01Speaker 7: Let me ask you this, uncle, what is your warning
- 12:04Speaker 7: routine when you get up with God, what do you
- 12:06Speaker 7: be saying to him in the morning.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Well, it's if I start with gratitude. That's first, you know.
- 12:14Speaker 2: You know, I got I got a list now that
- 12:18Speaker 2: things I be wanting. But and sometimes if I'm not careful,
- 12:22Speaker 2: I rush to that list. But I stopped myself quickly
- 12:30Speaker 2: and remember all that He's done for me, and show
- 12:33Speaker 2: gratitude for the things he's done. The more you're grateful for,
- 12:36Speaker 2: the more He will give you to be grateful for.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And then I've learned how to pray differently as I've
- 12:43Speaker 2: gotten a little bit older. You know, I always Now
- 12:47Speaker 2: I just started incorporating the prayers for others. I'm not
- 12:51Speaker 2: just my immediate family, but other people that I know
- 12:55Speaker 2: that may be going through some stuff. I make sure
- 12:57Speaker 2: I pray for them too. Now, yeah, huh that question.
- 13:04Speaker 2: And I've started openly letting go of a lot of
- 13:08Speaker 2: stuff that I've been holding on to, you know, that
- 13:12Speaker 2: wasn't doing me no good. And I think that part
- 13:14Speaker 2: has made me feel a lot better. It it has
- 13:18Speaker 2: something to do with your health and everything. Sometimes you
- 13:20Speaker 2: carry in the sickness. That's my morning ritual. And then
- 13:24Speaker 2: I come in here, see what's wrong with you, and
- 13:26Speaker 2: then I take it from now.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Wow, all right, great questions jus.
- 13:35Speaker 2: To the end. I've just got to wrap it up
- 13:38Speaker 2: some kind of way.
- 13:41Speaker 5: We'll run that prank back with a nephew right after this.
- 13:44Speaker 5: You're listening hard morning show. It's summertime, and I leave.

- 14:21Speaker 1: It is time now to run that prank back with
- 14:23Speaker 1: the nephew. What you got for his nephew?
- 14:26Speaker 2: I got butt Man, Shirley butt Man?
- 14:29Speaker 1: Why did I ask? Why did I ask?
- 14:33Speaker 2: This is butt Man.
- 14:35Speaker 6: Let's jump up on this Uh, let's jump on this
- 14:37Speaker 6: copy machine and get us a nice come man.
- 14:42Speaker 1: That's how we said.
- 14:43Speaker 8: Dog.
- 14:43Speaker 6: If you would, let's go butt man. If you want
- 14:46Speaker 6: to see it for real, it's the butt Man. Hello, Hey,
- 14:50Speaker 6: I'm trying to read Vaughan. Please, Von, This is Darius.
- 14:55Speaker 6: Darius Woo human Resources.
- 14:56Speaker 2: How are you?
- 14:58Speaker 4: I'm doing fine? Can I help you? Yeah?
- 15:00Speaker 6: Listen, we have an incident that has taken place at
- 15:04Speaker 6: the job you actually.
- 15:07Speaker 1: What floor are you on?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Von?
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm all for twelve floor twelve?
- 15:13Speaker 2: All right? So do you use the copy machine that
- 15:16Speaker 2: often on that floor?
- 15:18Speaker 4: Not all the time, but I do use it every
- 15:20Speaker 4: once in a while.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Okay, every once in a while. So here's what's going on.
- 15:25Speaker 6: There's gonna be some actions being taken place here pretty soon,
- 15:28Speaker 6: some legal actions, and we're just clearing everybody. You know,
- 15:32Speaker 6: this is just a proper procedure that we're having to
- 15:35Speaker 6: go through. So let me just kind of enlighten you
- 15:38Speaker 6: on what's taking place. Someone on the twelfth floor has
- 15:42Speaker 6: copied their butt on a piece of paper in the
- 15:45Speaker 6: copy machine. So someone actually sat up on the xerox
- 15:49Speaker 6: machine and copied their butt. Why someone would do that,
- 15:52Speaker 6: I have no earthly idea. But what's happening now is
- 15:55Speaker 6: everyone on your floor is going to have to come
- 15:59Speaker 6: in and show their butt. So we're scheduling this now.
- 16:03Speaker 6: I'm thinking Friday at eleven a m would.
- 16:06Speaker 4: That be so y'all, y'all talk to y'all talking about
- 16:12Speaker 4: y'all want me to come up there and show show my,
- 16:16Speaker 4: show my because somebody, I'm a grown man. Okay, I'm
- 16:20Speaker 4: a grown man. I ain't do that.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Okay, you know what. I believe you.
- 16:24Speaker 6: I believe you wholeheartedly, Von, But just to clear your name,
- 16:28Speaker 6: we have to, I hate to say it, clear your
- 16:30Speaker 6: butt as well. So we want to make sure we're
- 16:33Speaker 6: gonna find out whose butt this is on a piece
- 16:35Speaker 6: of paper, that did this.
- 16:36Speaker 4: We're gonna find out, you're gonna find you're gonna find
- 16:38Speaker 4: out who's You're gonna find out whose cheeks those are,
- 16:40Speaker 4: and you're gonna find out real quickly. In our mind,
- 16:43Speaker 4: I'm not doing that, man, I'm not gonna come in.
- 16:45Speaker 4: You said Friday.
- 16:46Speaker 6: You're doing this on Friday, Friday at eleven, not coming
- 16:50Speaker 6: at my day off.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I'm pulling my pants down. Let some strangers looking really
- 16:55Speaker 4: look at my look at my cheeks talking about somebody
- 16:58Speaker 4: copy I'm not.
- 17:00Speaker 2: I don't. I don't want to.
- 17:02Speaker 6: I don't want this to take a turn, Von, because
- 17:04Speaker 6: right now, this is if you're not If you're saying
- 17:07Speaker 6: you're not coming in, then other actions will be taking
- 17:10Speaker 6: place if you don't come in and follow the precedure
- 17:13Speaker 6: that everybody's saying.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Everybody else that I'm calling they have to come in.
- 17:18Speaker 4: How many how many people work on that floor?
- 17:20Speaker 2: There's at least eighty plus people on that floor.
- 17:23Speaker 4: You're talking about trying to have eighty plus people come
- 17:27Speaker 4: in drive all wain work. So some strangers and we
- 17:30Speaker 4: don't even know can look at our look at our cheeks,
- 17:33Speaker 4: and I'm not gonna do that. I don't know who
- 17:36Speaker 4: did it, but I know they ain't me.
- 17:38Speaker 6: Well, somebody, somebody's xeroxs their butt on the twelfth floor,
- 17:43Speaker 6: and we're gonna get to okay, but we're gonna get
- 17:46Speaker 6: to the bottom of who did it and what you're
- 17:48Speaker 6: what you're not gonna do?
- 17:49Speaker 2: Von Is tell me you're not coming in. What you're
- 17:52Speaker 2: not gonna do? Do you like your job here with
- 17:54Speaker 2: this company? Oh?
- 17:55Speaker 4: Okay, what you're not gonna do exactly like you're gonna
- 17:58Speaker 4: fire me because I'm not gonna show y'all my sweet
- 18:01Speaker 4: goodies just because you just because you're from HR you
- 18:04Speaker 4: got me food. If you actually expect me to think
- 18:07Speaker 4: that everybody that works from this floor is over here, like,
- 18:10Speaker 4: oh yeah, sure, I'll go with some strangers. Look at mine,
- 18:13Speaker 4: Look at my crack. You must be playing, no, sir,
- 18:17Speaker 4: not with me.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Okay, let me let me let me ask you this.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Do you have a coworker named Andre?
- 18:24Speaker 4: Andre?
- 18:24Speaker 6: Yes, okay, Andre says he knows you. Now, I'm just
- 18:29Speaker 6: gonna put it out here. Andre is stating that it
- 18:32Speaker 6: could have possibly been you.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Really, Andre got the nerve to say it could have
- 18:36Speaker 4: been me? Smith, Andre? Why is he trying to single
- 18:41Speaker 4: me out? Like I even use that copier, not around
- 18:44Speaker 4: there playing games. I'm a grown man. He must be
- 18:47Speaker 4: out of his mind thinking he gonna say I did it.
- 18:50Speaker 2: All I know is he stated that you were a possibility.
- 18:53Speaker 2: That's what That's what he stated.
- 18:54Speaker 4: He said I was a possibility.
- 18:57Speaker 1: That that's dumb.
- 18:59Speaker 4: He ain't have fool in the reason to think I
- 19:01Speaker 4: don't even use that copier, man, I use that thing
- 19:03Speaker 4: like once every two to three weeks, everybody on that floor.
- 19:07Speaker 6: Okay, So out of once every two or three weeks,
- 19:09Speaker 6: is there a possibility maybe you propped your butt up there.
- 19:12Speaker 2: And copied it?
- 19:13Speaker 4: Not at all, y'all, don't ain't even told me when
- 19:16Speaker 4: this happened. I probably wasn't even working when the booted.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Then you must be out your mind. You can waste
- 19:23Speaker 4: everybody else the time trying to bring everyone in to
- 19:26Speaker 4: get a free strip show, but you're not gonna do
- 19:29Speaker 4: that to me. This has to be unethical and illegal
- 19:32Speaker 4: on so many levels. You're trying to come in and
- 19:35Speaker 4: say everybody on the entire floor has to come show that.
- 19:39Speaker 4: Geez man, you must be kidding me. What's your name?
- 19:43Speaker 4: The whole time You're trying to call me saying this
- 19:45Speaker 4: is HR what's your name? Because when I I'm.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Darius, I'm Darius out of human Resources. I told you
- 19:50Speaker 2: that when I first.

- 22:28Speaker 5: It's just seems like it's getting stranger, weirder, more cringey.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I don't know, yeah, yea so weird.
- 22:37Speaker 5: And sixty year old Scottie Pippin Is have gone public
- 22:42Speaker 5: with his rumored twenty three year old girlfriend.
- 22:44Speaker 1: We'll talk about these stories at the top of the hour.
- 22:47Speaker 5: Scotty got it, Scotty, oh, Scottie. Right now, it's time
- 22:53Speaker 5: to ask the CLO, our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Scotty dance clo. Yes, all right, Well, this.
- 23:05Speaker 5: Is from Louis and Baton Rouge. Lewis writes, I'm a
- 23:09Speaker 5: single dad and I drove my son on his first date.
- 23:12Speaker 5: The girl's mom rode with us since they're only fifteen
- 23:15Speaker 5: years old, while the kids were at the movies. Me
- 23:18Speaker 5: and the mama had sex in the car. It just happened.
- 23:23Speaker 5: The kids are dating, and the mama wants me. How
- 23:25Speaker 5: do I tell her that that won't ever happen?
- 23:30Speaker 2: Well, you didn't think to tell her that before y'all
- 23:34Speaker 2: have sex in the car, that it won't ever happen.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Because they looked like it did to me. I'm just
- 23:39Speaker 2: for those of us that'sitn't on the radio this morning.
- 23:42Speaker 2: It looked like it did already. How do I tell
- 23:46Speaker 2: her that will never happen? How did it happen?
- 23:49Speaker 6: Man?
- 23:49Speaker 2: Look? Man, just happened again again? Y'all listen to me.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 23:58Speaker 2: This year, I've told y'all stop calling in him with
- 24:03Speaker 2: these abnormal situations, trying to make them sound normal. And
- 24:09Speaker 2: you want some type of uh you know, advice to
- 24:13Speaker 2: fell with wisdom and and and and something that we
- 24:17Speaker 2: can't wisely get you out of an ignorant situation.
- 24:25Speaker 1: One more time for the people in.
- 24:27Speaker 2: We cannot wisely get you out of an ignorant situation.
- 24:34Speaker 2: We were just we out of them.
- 24:38Speaker 6: Once you get nicked and put your back up against that,
- 24:41Speaker 6: it ain't really much we can help them.
- 24:46Speaker 2: That's what you wanted to add to Steve the.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Gloria and d T l A.
- 24:57Speaker 5: Right after we went running, my boyfriend wanted to cool
- 25:00Speaker 5: down in the shower. I took a cool shower while
- 25:04Speaker 5: he let the cool water run over his body. He
- 25:07Speaker 5: didn't use any soap and argue that it wasn't necessary.
- 25:12Speaker 5: Is this what real athletes do? Or is he just nasty?
- 25:18Speaker 2: Well, listen to me if you can convince yourself that
- 25:25Speaker 2: one of the largest largest hygiene markets known to man
- 25:33Speaker 2: is soap, soap, powder, soap, detergent, hands soap, face soap,
- 25:42Speaker 2: body wash, balls, liquid pumps, all that. It is a
- 25:48Speaker 2: billions of dollar industry. Why do you think everybody else
- 25:57Speaker 2: want some soap and you don't. Now it's just her
- 26:03Speaker 2: husband or her boyfriend.
- 26:05Speaker 1: No, just just her boyfriend. They were running and you
- 26:08Speaker 1: know you get sweaty when you run.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Yeah, well you know.
- 26:13Speaker 6: You can't.
- 26:13Speaker 2: And you know you don't know nobody that likes soap.
- 26:16Speaker 1: M his girlfriend.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I mean, it's a lady. It's a lot of men
- 26:22Speaker 2: that like soap. You can find one of them, means.
- 26:25Speaker 4: And.
- 26:27Speaker 1: He's nasty. That's what she's asking.
- 26:30Speaker 2: He done told you soap ain't necessary?
- 26:34Speaker 5: Yeah, Yes, he didn't use any self think, he argued,
- 26:39Speaker 5: He didn't just tell her, argued.
- 26:41Speaker 2: So you don't think that it's some most stupid stuff
- 26:45Speaker 2: running around in here.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Yeah, this is over, lady.
- 26:52Speaker 2: You need to try somebody else.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Let this go all right, Thank you Clo.
- 26:57Speaker 5: Moving on to Kenyata in Fairfax, can you writes I
- 27:01Speaker 5: told my wife about my friend that is having money problems.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I should have known better.
- 27:06Speaker 5: My wife reached out and asked the man's wife if
- 27:08Speaker 5: she needed anything. Now his wife is ashamed, and my
- 27:12Speaker 5: friend is mad at me. How do I handle my wife?
- 27:17Speaker 2: Well? He told his wife that a friend of his
- 27:19Speaker 2: is having money from money problem. Uh huh the wife
- 27:23Speaker 2: called her. Yep, not a not a ladyship they need.
- 27:28Speaker 2: And a friend is mad at the friend that confided.
- 27:31Speaker 1: In him is mad at him at Kenyata, Yeah.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Mad at ken YadA or him his.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Friend is mad at him ken YadA.
- 27:40Speaker 2: The husband, Oh, Kenyata is a man.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Yeah, Kenyada is the one who wrote the letter broke
- 27:46Speaker 1: the question. Yeah ken YadA, don't get stuck on the name.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, man.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I had a couple of kenyatas.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Well for me.
- 28:01Speaker 5: The question ken YadA told his wife that his friend
- 28:05Speaker 5: was having money problems, so ken Yada's wife reached out
- 28:08Speaker 5: to the YadA.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Yes all cause of ken YadA.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Yeah, well he said something to his wife and his
- 28:20Speaker 1: wife took it from there.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna have a difficulty answering this question because.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Because what.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's very that's throwing me off in the summer.
- 28:33Speaker 2: But you know what, Listen, I think it's a cool name.
- 28:35Speaker 2: But I'm a little throw it off with that. What
- 28:42Speaker 2: I really forgot what this was about. But it seemed
- 28:44Speaker 2: like your wife was trying to be helpful by calling her.
- 28:48Speaker 2: But I think what happened though, was the lady that
- 28:50Speaker 2: called her had the wrong term. I'm a little throw
- 28:55Speaker 2: it off with that. What I really forgot what this
- 28:57Speaker 2: was about, but it seemed like your wife was trying
- 29:00Speaker 2: to be helpful by calling her. But I think what
- 29:02Speaker 2: happened though, was the lady that called her had the
- 29:06Speaker 2: wrong tone.
- 29:09Speaker 5: Girl.
- 29:09Speaker 2: You're okay, girl? You okay? No I heard what you meaning? Okay? Well, dell,
- 29:17Speaker 2: but uh, no way, no way, hold up. Look at hey,
- 29:22Speaker 2: hey girl? You all right? Huh are you all right?
- 29:27Speaker 1: I'm pro much wrong.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Well, well, the spepe called Kenyata. Kenyata said, heck, thepe
- 29:39Speaker 2: told kyat that that you were struggling to find out
- 29:44Speaker 2: talking about But but hold on, by Beta, don't don't.
- 29:56Speaker 5: You?
- 29:56Speaker 2: You ain't got to speak on way?
- 29:57Speaker 6: What what?
- 29:58Speaker 5: What?
- 29:58Speaker 10: What?
- 29:59Speaker 4: Oh?
- 29:59Speaker 2: You call me and telling me not to be on Setkikito,
- 30:04Speaker 2: you don't.
- 30:04Speaker 6: Want call me?
- 30:06Speaker 2: Well by Peta, what you want me to do?
- 30:09Speaker 3: Well?
- 30:10Speaker 2: But they said, you don't want everybody know what I
- 30:13Speaker 2: want work? Can y'all to say at that shot?
- 30:16Speaker 1: Now, well, I'm glad you worked it out for yourself.
- 30:18Speaker 2: But we keep out of going out. But bet Taye,
- 30:21Speaker 2: what did you call?
- 30:27Speaker 1: Just right after this ignorance? You're listening to Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Well, there is real racial racial tension surrounding the death
- 30:41Speaker 5: of eighteen year old student athlete Nolan Wells after a
- 30:45Speaker 5: fourth of July boat trip in Horn Island, Mississippi. Nolan's
- 30:49Speaker 5: friends on the trip were all white, and now many
- 30:52Speaker 5: people believe that there was some foul play involved. Civil
- 30:55Speaker 5: rights attorney Benjamin Crump has been retained by the Wells family,
- 30:59Speaker 5: and he released a statement that read, in part quote,
- 31:02Speaker 5: his family deserves answers, they deserve the truth. We will
- 31:06Speaker 5: call an investigators to pursue this case with the urgency
- 31:09Speaker 5: and transparency the family deserves.
- 31:14Speaker 2: There's also listen to me, all of the boys that
- 31:17Speaker 2: went on the trip have lawyered up. That's what the roman. Yeah,
- 31:23Speaker 2: that's what is Yeah, so I'm sort of wait a minute, man,
- 31:27Speaker 2: how y'all don't y'all, don't all y'all, don't nobody know nothing?
- 31:31Speaker 2: That's crazy flat right there.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Yeah, the only black kid on the yeah vote.
- 31:38Speaker 5: There's also a video circulating online that shows people arguing
- 31:41Speaker 5: on the beach, which means a potential list of witnesses.
- 31:45Speaker 5: So that could be a good thing if somebody saw something.
- 31:49Speaker 5: And of course our deepest condolences to the family of
- 31:52Speaker 5: Nolan Wells. Hopefully they'll, you know, find out what happened
- 31:55Speaker 5: to the story. It won't bring Nolan back, but at
- 31:57Speaker 5: least they'll get some closure the family Wells family.
- 32:01Speaker 10: Somebody saw something. When you see that video on social media.
- 32:04Speaker 10: If that video is true, true evidence, it was a
- 32:08Speaker 10: lot of people, a lot of young people in that
- 32:11Speaker 10: water round those boats, and you can hear an argument
- 32:15Speaker 10: going on. Somebody saw something or they know something, so
- 32:19Speaker 10: they need to cooperate.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Yeah, this was senseless. Yeah, it really really was. Wow.
- 32:26Speaker 5: All right, we'll keep you posted, of course, as information
- 32:30Speaker 5: comes in. We're gonna switch gears here now talk about
- 32:34Speaker 5: entertainment news sort of. President Trump singled out Nicki Minaj
- 32:39Speaker 5: during a White House luncheon Monday, Did you guys see this?
- 32:42Speaker 5: Calling her a quote fantastic person and inviting her to
- 32:46Speaker 5: stand up. Attendees applauded her. Nicki Minaj later shared a
- 32:52Speaker 5: picture from the Oval Office standing next to the resolute
- 32:55Speaker 5: desk where Trump was sitting, grinning wide, captioning it White
- 33:00Speaker 5: House Barbie with her favorite president of all time.
- 33:05Speaker 4: Girl, you know what?
- 33:08Speaker 2: You know what troubles mean with these blacks for Trump
- 33:12Speaker 2: and Latinos for Trump? What are you for Trump for?
- 33:17Speaker 2: Just tell me what he's done for black people, for
- 33:21Speaker 2: Latino people. Just tell me what he's done. I'm having
- 33:25Speaker 2: hard time finding whites for Trump really, if you want
- 33:29Speaker 2: to know the truth about it, I don't even understand
- 33:33Speaker 2: whites for Trump's But if you're black and Latino, have
- 33:37Speaker 2: you have you been paying attention to the news? Do
- 33:40Speaker 2: you know these do you know what? Do you know
- 33:41Speaker 2: who isis aimed at? Do you know what the whole
- 33:45Speaker 2: border thing was about. Do you understand what this birthright
- 33:49Speaker 2: citizenship fight was all about. You're trying to get rid
- 33:53Speaker 2: of you. You're trying to get rid of you, and
- 33:55Speaker 2: if not you, people who look like you, and people
- 33:58Speaker 2: you're related to, and black people, blacks for Trump. You
- 34:02Speaker 2: you so stupid. The Civil Rights, Voting Rights Acts rescinded DEI, rescinded,
- 34:10Speaker 2: Affirmative Action, rescinded, teaching the history black history in school,
- 34:15Speaker 2: rescinded that their redistricting trying to get rid of black
- 34:19Speaker 2: people who have representation for you. All of that's in place,
- 34:22Speaker 2: all of that's happening right now, and you are Black
- 34:25Speaker 2: for Trump. You're so stupid.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Now?
- 34:28Speaker 2: Are you shoved so far up your lack of history?
- 34:33Speaker 2: Or you just want to act like if I don't,
- 34:35Speaker 2: If I act like I'm want of them, they'll be accepted. No,
- 34:38Speaker 2: you won't, not not from the magabase. You won't, not
- 34:42Speaker 2: not from that Maga cult. You'll never be accepted. You
- 34:47Speaker 2: can put your cowboy hat on, you put your Trump
- 34:50Speaker 2: flag on, you can do all that. They don't like you.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Go to their neighborhood and see how many of y'all
- 34:55Speaker 2: over there. I tell you what I tell you you
- 34:59Speaker 2: think you so cool with Magnantil go buy a house
- 35:01Speaker 2: over there? What he did? Well, that's about citizenship with her, though,
- 35:05Speaker 2: is that what this was about?
- 35:07Speaker 5: What I mean, it's initially we thought, yeah, initially, but
- 35:13Speaker 5: it's kind of gone before I mean, you know beyond.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Yea of all time.
- 35:19Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, all right, uh yeah, she she's just you know,
- 35:25Speaker 5: this is just her supporting Trump. Finally, in uh entertainment
- 35:30Speaker 5: News six times, NBA champ Scottie Pippin recently went public
- 35:36Speaker 5: with his rumored new girlfriend, who's reportedly twenty three years old. Okay,
- 35:42Speaker 5: great for Scottie Scotti is what sixty sixty years old?
- 35:46Speaker 2: Boy? Yeah?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Did you say my man when she said the story?
- 35:53Speaker 1: Yeah you heard the man he did?
- 35:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's just that And that wasn't my man? Like yeah,
- 36:00Speaker 2: that was my man? Kindamn for you know, like if
- 36:04Speaker 2: he was a personal friend of mine, like you know, Okay,

- 36:11Speaker 2: and we didn't know he was with his his former
- 36:14Speaker 2: girlfriend who was full grown like him. We all go

- 36:40Speaker 2: We ain't talking about because she ain't never seen him
- 36:42Speaker 2: play before.
- 36:43Speaker 5: Well, well it's funny you should say that, Tommy, because
- 36:46Speaker 5: the Chicago Bulls won their first championship in nineteen ninety
- 36:49Speaker 5: one and his girlfriend was born in two thousand and three.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but her mama due though, girl, you boll Scottie.

- 51:16Speaker 6: the matter, that maybe we can get to some type
- 51:19Speaker 6: of uh rectifying this situation to.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Where we can.
- 51:22Speaker 8: We're gonna rectify here. I'm gonna rectify you calling me

- 51:58Speaker 6: Well, Ma'm that that son that having problems when you're
- 52:01Speaker 6: seeding the people, and that's all that we're trying to

- 52:04Speaker 8: People don't want to sit down. They want to go
- 52:06Speaker 8: over here, they want to go over there. They want
- 52:08Speaker 8: to have the children running to and fro. It's like
- 52:10Speaker 8: a bunch of beamons a while he's just bucking around
- 52:13Speaker 8: in the trench like they ain't got no sense. And
- 52:15Speaker 8: I'm not gonna have it in my section.
- 52:17Speaker 1: My section is gonna be strife, and I understand it.
- 52:20Speaker 2: Let you know what, sister, I think, if we did this,

- 56:48Speaker 5: All right, nephew, thank you. Subject under the covers only.
- 56:54Speaker 5: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a fifty two year old married
- 56:57Speaker 5: woman and my husband and I moved into his mother
- 57:00Speaker 5: house because she needs around the clock care.
- 57:03Speaker 1: I work from home, so it works out.
- 57:06Speaker 5: She has an older home with a subpower air conditioner,
- 57:09Speaker 5: so I have fans all over the house. There's only
- 57:12Speaker 5: one TV in the house, in the din, and my
- 57:15Speaker 5: husband wants to keep it that way, but it makes
- 57:17Speaker 5: the house really quiet, so we can't have private conversations
- 57:22Speaker 5: without his mom in our business. She might be old
- 57:25Speaker 5: and walks on a walks with a walker, but her
- 57:28Speaker 5: hearing is great. It's always too quiet in the house.
- 57:31Speaker 5: For my husband and I to enjoy intimacy, so lately,
- 57:34Speaker 5: my husband only wants to do it under the covers.
- 57:38Speaker 5: We started doing that after his mom let us know
- 57:41Speaker 5: that she heard us. See, my husband loves to playfully
- 57:44Speaker 5: tap my butt when we're having a lone time. He
- 57:48Speaker 5: did it a few times the other night, and his
- 57:51Speaker 5: mom heard it at breakfast the next day. She asked
- 57:54Speaker 5: me if he was hitting me. My husband was trying
- 57:57Speaker 5: not to laugh as he explained that he was not
- 58:01Speaker 5: hurting me. I was irritated af because his mom has
- 58:05Speaker 5: been married twice, so she knew exactly what was going
- 58:07Speaker 5: on in our bedroom. The house is too hot to
- 58:10Speaker 5: be undercovers while we're intimate. I told my husband it's
- 58:14Speaker 5: no big deal if his mom hears us, but he
- 58:16Speaker 5: thinks it's disrespectful. Is it disrespectful for a married couple
- 58:20Speaker 5: to have privacy for intimate moments? Are we supposed to
- 58:24Speaker 5: keep covering up every night so she won't hear us?
- 58:29Speaker 5: This is really not a problem I expect from grown people.
- 58:34Speaker 5: And why aren't you speaking up for yourself when you
- 58:37Speaker 5: live with other people? Married couples doing what married couples do,
- 58:41Speaker 5: even if they're trying to be quiet might be heard
- 58:44Speaker 5: during intimacy. It's just a fact. It has nothing to
- 58:47Speaker 5: do with his mom, but I'm sure you prefer it.
- 58:50Speaker 5: If she didn't hear you, guys, it could be embarrassing.
- 58:53Speaker 5: I get that, and disrespectful, but embarrassing for sure. This
- 59:00Speaker 5: is nothing a fifty two year old woman who's probably
- 59:03Speaker 5: already having hot flashes should have to deal with anyway.
- 59:06Speaker 5: So I'm trying to figure out why you haven't already
- 59:09Speaker 5: bought at least a portable air conditioner for your room,
- 59:13Speaker 5: or a TV or something. If it's a money thing.
- 59:16Speaker 5: I understand that both you and your husband work right,
- 59:20Speaker 5: because it seems like with the sacrifice you've made, you
- 59:23Speaker 5: should be able to have some of the comforts of
- 59:26Speaker 5: a normal home. You guys could at least save up
- 59:29Speaker 5: for a few conveniences. I know it's his mom's house,
- 59:32Speaker 5: but you can't say or ask anything because you should
- 59:37Speaker 5: say something. His mom sure is asking you, guys a
- 59:40Speaker 5: lot of questions. You said, she's all up in your business.
- 59:44Speaker 5: So to me, moving forward, I just think you should
- 59:46Speaker 5: let some of those fans go get some cool air
- 59:49Speaker 5: running through that house asap.
- 59:51Speaker 2: Steve, I'm surprised by that answer. This is a fifty
- 59:55Speaker 2: two year old married woman and my husband and moved
- 59:59Speaker 2: into his mind other's house because she needs around the
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: clock care. I work from home, so it works out.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Now right there, this is her house. Her house can
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: come with her rules. Everybody know that if you go
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: to your mama's house, you already know, which is probably
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: why you moved that. There's some requirements in that house
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: that you can't live up too more. It could be
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: the curfew that they enacted. It could be the rules
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: about having company. It could be anything, but something prompted
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: the initial move out. Now y'all old, now fifty two,
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: y'all to move back home to help her because she
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: need round the clock care and you work from home,
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: so you say it works out. She got an old
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: house with a subparwer air condition, so you got fans
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: all over the house. This is the fifty to year
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: old lady talking. Ain't but one TV in the house
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: that's in the in and my husband wants to keep
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: it that way. Why why you just want one TV
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: in the house. Ain't y'all in another room? So all
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: y'all got to sit around this TV and watch the
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: same thing. Now his mama all that I don't want
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: to see me. I'm not I don't want to watch
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: TV Lane, so I ain't never watched TV Land. I'm
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: not fit to watch TV lany. I don't give it
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: what Perry Mason doing. I'm not fin to watch that.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: What I'm not fit to watch murder, she wrote, I'm
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: not fit to watch that. I ain't finna watch a
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: dig Van Dyke show. I'm not watching that old star.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: No not doing it. I'm not sitting up in here
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: watching Mary Tyler more.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: No hurt me.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: I want my own TV. But it makes the house
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: really quiet because it's only one TV, and you can't
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: have a private conversation because it's mama and your busy.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: She might be old and walk with the walker, but
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: he here and is fine. We can't it and enjoy
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: our intimacy. So lately it's too quiet in the house
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: and y'all can't enjoy into me. So you now your
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: husband only want to do it under the cover. And
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: because we did that after her mama heard y'all your
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: husband likes to playfully tap my butt when we have
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: in a long time, and he did it a few
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: times the other night and his mama heard it. Yeah,
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: you know that ain't what that is. You know good
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: and well that he likes to playfully tap the main taps.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you right now, tapping does nothing that
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: looks if you don't feel like the juiciness of it,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: if you don't feel the full complexity of it. Child,
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: you got to hear that this right here, this ain't
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: nobody doing that. He could do that with you this
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: little fingers see like, don't get this a mute hand
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: against my face. Okay, that ain't what we.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Go for a second, right, cut.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Your hand and come down across it.
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: Coming up in twenty three minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: get into part two of Steve's response to this strawberry letter.
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: The subject is under the covers only right after this.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: You're listening the same.

- 1:03:43Speaker 5: one fifty four hundred or globelifradio dot com. All right,
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: is under the covers.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Only we got a problem because there's a couple who's
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: in the fifties to mood in with. Demand's mama in
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: her house cause she need round the clock care. Uh,
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: and it's the older house and it ain't got no
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: good ad conditioning it. So the woman who works from home,
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: who says this works out because she works from home,
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: so she's there all the day take care for the mother.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: But being good kids and stuff like that, and all
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: of this here so uh, you know, the guy hot
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: in there. They can't putting up. She don't put fans
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: all over the house. And they only got one TV
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: in the den, and her husband want to keep it
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: that way. But that makes the house so quiet because
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: now the mama can hear everything, and you know it's
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: her house and and and you know they they having
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: trouble having intimacy because his mother can hear because the
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: other morning they was having breakfast and she said she
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: heard us because your husband likes to playfully tap you
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: while you're having a long time. Tap. That ain't what
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: that is. You can't hear no tap on the other
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: side of the dome. This is a tap. I'm gonna
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: say this is. I'm gonna put my hand up against
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: my face. This is a tap. And I want you
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: all to listen to this and see if you got
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: a room in your house with the door shut that
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: could hit this. You can't hear it. That ain't what
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: he did. He cupped his hand, licked it. She said,
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: what they happened? He licked his hand, he cupped it.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: Then it came down across her child. Sounded like that
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: right there, I'm up. It sounded like what it's not
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: like you. Ah, you bought like a rump roast at
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: the grocery store or something and smacked the pack of
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: meat at the grocery store. That's what that sounded like.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: That go through dose. Well, she heard it, and she
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: bought it up. So now he wants to and uh.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Then she gonna ask him, was he hitting you? And
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: you said no, he wasn't hitting me, and you mad
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: because she know exactly what was going on because she
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: been married twice, and I know she know what's going on.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: That probably see she didne had a lot of activity
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: if she been married twice, you know what this is.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: That might have something to do with her disability too.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: A lot of times people take that too far and
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: you can hurt yourself. You can hurt yourself in the bedroom.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: It can cause a disability. That's what happens to a
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: lot of people. A lot of people like Yes, that's
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: why a lot of black people at home, well, you know,
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: without no benefits because you didn't hurt yourself at work,
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: what you got hurt at the house being intimate. See
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: that what happened with y'all. A lot of people and
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: black people, you know, they can't admit that. You know,
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: back went out. You know how your back went out.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: You picked her up like you did when y'all got
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: married and carried her cold. That carried her over the
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: threshold where you tried that thirty years later. She don't
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: wait the same. Your back ain't the same.
- 1:06:55Speaker 10: Now.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: You don't hurt yourself. Now you didn't do it at work,
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: So now you can't get no conversation her. His mama
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: probably disable and his needs around the clock care CAUs
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: of some activity she had. I been inactive from it before.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: I've done something. I knocked myself out in the bedroom
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: one time, mess around and misjudge the distance. I jumped
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: off the doknob. I put my foot on the doughknob
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: and I was doing my doknob dive and I misjudged
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: and it hit my head on the corner that night.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Staying from what knocked my out, I'm talking about Pow
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: Pow dog in the wild, saw stars and everything. I
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: was out for a little while, you know what I mean.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: And that right there that could have that could have
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: been a permanent brain injury. See that right there, if
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: donob dive. That hurts me because I misjudged it. I
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: didn't know it had a name. Yeah yeah, I had
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: all myself all the bedroom activity. That's why his mama
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: is at the house now and got the kneed round
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: the clock care because she done had accident. Old black
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: people have bedroom accidents that don't happen at work. And
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: now we can't get no benefits from it. Now we
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: just at the house, Pope. That's why people got to
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: move in. That's why we have our grandmama's laying up
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: in the living room in a big hospital bed because
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: we know we can't get no benefits because we got
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: hurt at the house. Now, I don't know how to
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: help you in your letter. I don't know what to
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: tell you about this air conditioning, this Lincoln, and your
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: husband wants to do it under the covers now because
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: all that noise y'all been making, he thinks is disrespectful
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: to his mother. Your question is is it disrespectful for
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: a married couple to have private or for interimt moment?
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: It is disrespectful off you and somebody else's house. And
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: there ain't no boy want his mother to hear him.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: We've been hiding and sneaking around from our mama a
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: whole life, is I finsh be? Okay? That are we
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: supposed to keep covering up every night so she won't
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: hear us? Yes, you just to really have to. But
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: then the number one room you in her house. And
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: if you don't like the rules in her house, get out,
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: But you can't leave because she there. Oh, you need
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: to put some insulation in your house. Pack some pillows
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: up against these dough cracks, you know, put your mattress
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: up against the dope. You know stuff you could do.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Go in the bathroom. How big is the bathroom? You
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: need need some more insulation? All right?
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Post your comments on today.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: You got to be careful in these bedrooms, folks, do
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: not hurt yourself.

- 1:09:47Speaker 2: A cut in the back of my head on one
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: of them bedrooms slats right up under the bed because
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: I was doing my mattress flip trick and I flipped
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: the mattress.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: What are your magician?

- 1:10:48Speaker 2: What you got junior, Hey John, I've got a little
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: sports for you, man, I got some sports for you
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: because we was talking from the Strawberry Letter about injuries
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: that you can have in the sport of love. Love making.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: It's a sport and you can get a lot of
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: injuries doing that. And I was telling y'all how one
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: of my main injuries I got was when I did
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: the doughknob dive. I did the doughknob dive and I
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: overdove and I kick my head on the corner that
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: night's day and knocked myself out. I don't know how
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: long I was. I think there's a lot, like two days, yeah,
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: two days. And then I got hurt one time during
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: the Dunkey Kong and that I didn't know what happened
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: because I got hurt doing the dunk.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: What do you do when you're doing the dunky?
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: That's when I go away from the bed and then
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: I put my back up against the wall and I
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: run as hard as I can and dive on the bed.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: It's called the donkey Kong. But when I dove, my
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: foot slipped on the rug and that rug shot out
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: under me. My chest went across that footboard and knocked
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: all that ad.
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: Out of me.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: I broke two ribs that night, trying to do.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: Are you done?
- 1:12:08Speaker 7: Many tricks do you have in a bedroom? You have
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: any more?
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: You do?
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: What more?
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: I got hurt. One time I was doing the uh.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: I was doing the baby faces called the baby face?
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: I called it the whipper pil. I was doing the
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: whipper pie.
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: I grab a sheet out the linen closet and I
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: wet it a little bit, just a little bit, And
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: when you spankle with the end of the uh, with
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: the end of the sheet, I called that the whipper pill.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: But I had uh, I had done it. One time
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: I popped too hard and I missed uh her back
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: and it came back and put I put my eye out,
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: put my popped myself in the eye with a wet sheet,
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: do it trying to do the whipper peel? That that hurt? Yeah,
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: that almost put my eye. I couldn't see good for
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: about three weeks after that. So I was just saying
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: it's a lot of sports activity.
- 1:13:01Speaker 7: Yeah, explain this mattress flip that you be doing. What's
- 1:13:04Speaker 7: the mattress flip?
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: What is the mattress flip? That's cold. That's like when
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: I put you on one side of the mattress and
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: then I grabbed the other end and I flipped real
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: fast on top of me. I flipped real fast. Wall,
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: you be on top of me, but I flipped it
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: and I threw her into the wall and she was mad,
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: and then we had to stop all this. I got hurt.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: I heard her, Yeah she should have been and then
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: I got I had to go to Dinnis one time
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: because I was doing the lumberjack and yeah, it had
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: got so good to me. I was trying to see
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: how much wood I could gnaw off the head and
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: I picked messed around and knock to teth thank you,
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: and I get Steve, I don't know.
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: Coming up at the top of the hour, man on
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: Social Sports, he said, my girlfriend doesn't respect my privacy.
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is from Myron and
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: Steve HARVEYFM. Myron says, how do I handle a girlfriend?
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: Who won't respect your privacy in her social media activity.
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: A couple of days ago, I had to have surgical procedure.
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: It wasn't a huge deal, but I wanted to keep
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: it to myself and not make a big deal about it.
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: I told her this, and she agreed and understood, or
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: so I thought. When I got out of recovery and
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: was taken to my hospital room, I was shocked to
- 1:14:38Speaker 5: find my voicemail full and my social media going crazy.
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: My girlfriend decided to post a ton of selfies in
- 1:14:46Speaker 5: the waiting area and gave more than enough information to
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: let the kado completely out of the bag. Now, instead
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: of recovering peacefully, I've had to turn off my phone
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: to keep it from ringing constantly and have had visitor
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: after visitors stopping by. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: that people care, But the plan was to recover peacefully.
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: My girl disrespected me. So how can I tell her
- 1:15:10Speaker 5: without hurting her feeling? That's his question, Myron.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: She posted all them selfies in the so she just
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: did a tyres on you. She is in the waiting
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: room crying. See you go too far. You get on
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: the line and you go three feet over it. You
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: know your nerves.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: He's reeling someone in.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't get tired of trying to pay by
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: the ruse and stay over there on the line.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: Ain't no say.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: All the fun I ever had in my life, all
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: the real fun I've ever had in my life the
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: other side of headline, there's some else on the other
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: side of the line. It ain't right. Oh, you got
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: to pay, but it's something something about the other side.

- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Yes, he's in the hospital. He doesn't want his business
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: on social media.
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: Well it's just too late now, dog is too late.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: It's too late.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: So he wants to know her.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: He did want her lad to know that people.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Care care about him. Yeah, and that is a good thing.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Myron. You're Myron old too. Anybody they baby not Myron
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: in forty years, Non do I don't. You don't either.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: You are always trying to help these people in the
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: even young Myron juniors. If you know that's what you
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: never see.
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: You ain't.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: But you could do that if you're a junior. But
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: anybody just picked that name out the.
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: That's not the first choice.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: Yeah, book with the name Amran Marcellus.
- 1:17:25Speaker 5: You know, you know, how can he tell her she
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: disrespected him without hurting her feelings?
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: That you ain't gonna be able to do that.
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: Myra Patrician already posted it.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: My friend and Patricia, so he just would.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: First listen don when she told Donna, and you should
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: have knew then, be cause Donna called Brenda. Brenda called
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: Gladys and Gladys and when Gladys told her that was it. Boy,
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: you was all over And you know old people, old
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: people come by the hospital. That's when they we're gonna
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: go back, and that's what's happening.
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: That.
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: Yeah, if you ain't got FaceTime, young people don't come
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: to see you. I don't really I don't really think
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: there's nothing you could do, myrid. It's over with. The
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: damage is done. And then you do appreciate that people
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: cared about you. And you know she hooked on social
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: media and you didn't know that your surgery was gonna
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: be content, dog, you content. Now what you didn't want
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: nobody to know is to know what was wrong. You
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: think he was getting done, probably getting something done the
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: real old like probably having gout surgery US.

- 1:25:24Speaker 5: before we get out of here.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: I sure do, unk.
- 1:25:27Speaker 7: I'm curious to know, Uh, how do you handle the response?
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: How many people do you take care of?
- 1:25:31Speaker 7: Un and the responsibility that you take on, how many
- 1:25:33Speaker 7: people do you really take care of?
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: You know something, man, that's interesting because I've been having
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: just and this is a serious business too the past
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: few weeks. I've been grappling with that and for a
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: lot of people out there who have been chosen by
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: God to play the role that you have in the
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: lives of so many people. There are a lot of
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: chosen people out there. That a lot of people out
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: there that the first one to go to college and
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: their family, first one to climb the corporate ladder, first
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: one to open up a business, first one to have
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: a savings, first, one to consider retirement, first one in
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: your family to know anything about investments. It's just a
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: lot of people out there who have been the chosen one.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: Everybody on this show is a chosen one. I happen
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: to be a chosen one. Now with that comes an
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: immense amount of responsibility. And in this responsibility there comes
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: a lot of burden. Now, the burden we're not meant
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: to carry. We're supposed to turn it over to God.
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: But that's a hard lesson to learn. And you don't
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: know that in the beginning. And we carry a lot
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: of because of the number of people will we're responsible for.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: And what I want you to be careful of is
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: something that I was not conscious and careful of in
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: being responsible for people, in being the one to go
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: to person in your family, in your circle of friends
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: when they need money. Here they come, they want to borrow,
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: they need this, and it could be small amounts, it
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: could be big amounts. The amount is relative to wherever
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: you are financially. But they just keep coming and you
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: want to help them because you're a good person, you know,
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: And then you know if you don't help them, you
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: know they gonna sink and blah blah blah. So you
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: get manipulated a lot, You made to feel guilty a lot,
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: and then you know, people are just they are just people, man.
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: And what I did over the years was I took
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: account of all the people I was taken care of,
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: and I started building up a resentment towards some of them.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: And you gotta be careful of this, folks. I built
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: up a resentment sometimes, and it started affecting me, and
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: it made me feel resentful a lot of times because
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: I give what I think I give so freely and
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: yet get nothing in return. Have you ever felt that way,
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: that you just give and give and give, and you
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: don't seem like nobody ever gives to you, there's no
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: return factor. Well, I was feeling that, and it was
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: making me feel some kind of way, And for years
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: I carried that until recently I figured it out. Because
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: you know, there's a scripture in the Bible. I have
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: no idea where it is. It says something to the
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: fact about being it is better to be the lender
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: than the borrower. There's something in there about that. And
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: I found myself to be the lender and not the borrower.
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: But I began to be resentful about being the lender. Well,
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: Steve Harvey, would you rather be the borrower, the person
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: that needs all the time, or would you rather be
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: the person that has it to give all the time?
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: See it's a weird little line that you got to
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: play in that and a lot of times I was
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: just being resentful. So recently, man, I released a whole
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: weight off of my shoulder. I'm talking about, Man, I
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: feel like a new person almost when I started realizing
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: that I fulfill the promise and the duty and the
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: obligation that I have as a man. And you don't
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: have to be a man to feel this way. I'm
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: just saying for me, just what I felt as a
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: man because I did what I set out to do.
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: When it comes to my children, I gave my children
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: a better life than the one I had, But you
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: can't be resentful of it because I didn't want them
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: to have to go through what I went through because
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: I had no cushion, I had no safety net. I
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: couldn't go to my parents when I got in trouble because.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: They was poor.
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: But I changed that and I became the person. I
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: gave my children a life that I didn't have. But
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: I can't be mad because they got that life now
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: because I gave that life to them. You do for
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: people because you wish somebody had done it for you,
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: but now you have the ability to do it for
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: somebody else, y'all you just feeling your mission. And so
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: what I started doing was I became instead of resentful,
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: I became proud of myself. Come on, dog, you did it.
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: Somebody told me and said, man, if you could do
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: any thing you wanted to do, what would you do.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: I said, I'd golf and fish. He said, why don't
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: you just go do that?
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: Man?
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: You don't put your time. Man, I can't just go
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: do what I want to do. I have a responsibility.
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: I have a responsibility to this radio show. I got
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: responsibility to that game show. I got responsibilities man. That
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: that that and a lot of people count on me
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: to do those two things because they livelihood is tied
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: to that. But instead of being resentful for that, I
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: became proud of it. Man, take pride in the things
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: that you're able to do, instead of being resentful for
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: all the stuff you have to do. Does that make sense?
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: That show helped me out, man. I show hope that
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: help you.
- 1:31:43Speaker 11: Man.
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: I'm proud that my kids ain't had the same life
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: I got. I can't get mad at them because they
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: ain't have to struggle like me. Hey man, that's what
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: you set out to do you did it?
- 1:31:52Speaker 6: Ty I?
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: Congratulation, Mission accomplished. Have a great day today, y'od.
