- 2:10Speaker 1: Man got a radio show. What God doing y'all? Huh,
- 2:15Speaker 1: what are doing? What are you doing in your life?
- 2:17Speaker 1: He's doing something, he moving, he working. Don't lose your
- 2:21Speaker 1: patience though so I did that before. Don't lose your patience.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Don't don't. Don't get so sick of waiting that you
- 2:29Speaker 1: take matters into your own hands. Don't do that. Boy,
- 2:33Speaker 1: you blowing it. Listen to me. You're listening to somebody
- 2:37Speaker 1: who's done it that way. I had a dream. I
- 2:40Speaker 1: had a vision. I had some hope, I had some faith,
- 2:44Speaker 1: I had some aspirations. But I got a little impatient
- 2:48Speaker 1: waiting on it. So I tried a couple other things
- 2:51Speaker 1: move it along. But I can't tell you how I
- 2:53Speaker 1: messed it up. Then I messed it up. Then, because
- 2:56Speaker 1: God gave me the power of decision, what I had
- 2:58Speaker 1: to do was then I took matters into my own hand,
- 3:02Speaker 1: messed it up. Now, guess what, He still got something
- 3:06Speaker 1: from me. But now I gotta fix all the mistakes.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Now I gotta straighten them out. I gotta, I gotta
- 3:11Speaker 1: suffer some consequences. I gotta pay for my transgressions. All
- 3:14Speaker 1: of that, All of that, it's gotta go down. You
- 3:18Speaker 1: can't do something wrong and not pay for it. It's
- 3:22Speaker 1: you call it, calma, call it whatever you wanna call it.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Every action has an equal and opposite reaction every action.
- 3:32Speaker 1: If it just stays sunny all the time, you might
- 3:35Speaker 1: think it's cool, but there's gonna be a reaction to it.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Ain't no dark, ain't no shade, ain't no break, ain't
- 3:40Speaker 1: no rain. Gonna be hard if it's your sunny all
- 3:43Speaker 1: the time, vice versa. So you need you need the opposite.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You need the darkness so you can get your break
- 3:51Speaker 1: from that sun. You need the rain so you can
- 3:54Speaker 1: nourish the roots so that sun it can soak up
- 3:58Speaker 1: the sun and get the benefit of the sun. If
- 4:00Speaker 1: you don't get the opposite, you got a problem, man.
- 4:03Speaker 1: And it happens throughout nature, it happens throughout your life.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Don't think that you can do wrong and not have
- 4:10Speaker 1: to pay for that. See somebody as we're just going
- 4:14Speaker 1: to get with that now, because that's it. You reap
- 4:18Speaker 1: what you sold. That's it. That's that's that's standard. That
- 4:23Speaker 1: that that's a rule, that's a law of nature, that's
- 4:26Speaker 1: God's law. You can't get around that. I don't care
- 4:29Speaker 1: who you are. You want to be the world's greatest
- 4:32Speaker 1: drug pin You're gonna die just like that. You reap
- 4:36Speaker 1: misery on other people's lives, misery coming to your life.
- 4:40Speaker 1: You can justify it and call when I'm in a gang, dismhood,
- 4:44Speaker 1: you call it whatever you want to call it. With
- 4:46Speaker 1: that foolishness, you file and you out of line, and
- 4:49Speaker 1: you're gonna pay for that. Do you think this is man?
- 4:52Speaker 1: We We we think man because we'd have made a
- 4:55Speaker 1: decision that we think is best for us, and no
- 4:57Speaker 1: matter how it affect nobody else, we got the right
- 5:00Speaker 1: to make that call. No, you don't. No, you don't.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Whoever it is telling you that, whoever's misguiding you into
- 5:06Speaker 1: the gang life, telling you, yeah, man, you need to
- 5:09Speaker 1: be this a way to be down with us. I'll
- 5:11Speaker 1: tell you what. Get yourself stuck on chuck with that gang.
- 5:13Speaker 1: See how many of them be there for you. Oh
- 5:16Speaker 1: they'll go around the corner with you and starts shooting.
- 5:18Speaker 1: But okay, when it's time to do some time and
- 5:22Speaker 1: they can lessen their centers, you're gonna get that time.
- 5:24Speaker 1: They're gonna point their finger dead at you. I watched
- 5:27Speaker 1: for eight hours all the time, man. I watched locker
- 5:29Speaker 1: up raw all the time, all the time, man, all
- 5:32Speaker 1: the time. Ain't no real cold dudes out there, just
- 5:35Speaker 1: holding to the mantra and sticking to it. Even the
- 5:39Speaker 1: mob turns stateside, evidence go fed all that. Now we
- 5:43Speaker 1: are in the ound, the hood. We didn't created this
- 5:44Speaker 1: ignorant mess called no snitchet. With that hignorant mess, you
- 5:47Speaker 1: don't even understand. No snitching was created by criminals as
- 5:51Speaker 1: a code of honor. If you do dirt and you
- 5:54Speaker 1: get busted doing the dirt, don't bring my name up
- 5:56Speaker 1: if I was with you. That's a code of honor
- 5:58Speaker 1: amongst the thieves. Now, so many code of honor thieves
- 6:02Speaker 1: that then came out of prison. They ain't gotten no honor.
- 6:04Speaker 1: They then bought that stuff back to the street. Now
- 6:05Speaker 1: that's all in the neighborhood. No snitching, No snitching, You
- 6:09Speaker 1: gotta be crazy. That's for people who disobey the law.
- 6:13Speaker 1: That's who people have made a code of honor amongst
- 6:15Speaker 1: themselves as thieves. Hey, man, if you get busted, don't
- 6:18Speaker 1: drag me down. What you just do your time? Oh man,
- 6:21Speaker 1: you can't bring that stuff out here to me. I'm
- 6:23Speaker 1: a law biden citizen. Dog. I'm trying to live right
- 6:27Speaker 1: over here. Man. I don't want to crack house up
- 6:29Speaker 1: street from my mama's house. I'm trying to do right
- 6:31Speaker 1: out here. Man, you can't do wrong and expect wrong
- 6:34Speaker 1: not to come to you. You got to make a
- 6:36Speaker 1: decision every day to do right. Ask God. I was
- 6:40Speaker 1: watching this thing on TV. This gang down in Miami.
- 6:43Speaker 1: They say a prab before they go out and do
- 6:45Speaker 1: a hit. What what? What? You're crazy? Who have you
- 6:50Speaker 1: let tell you? This hoghest work got something ritual they
- 6:54Speaker 1: go through man like God going honor them and protect
- 6:57Speaker 1: them On some dirt. God ain't got protection you on dirt.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You got what you got coming. You made a decision.
- 7:05Speaker 1: You go down there to get some you might got
- 7:08Speaker 1: get got See we got to come on. I'm talking
- 7:12Speaker 1: to so many men out here right now. I should
- 7:14Speaker 1: have said that didn't mean getting but a conversation and
- 7:16Speaker 1: kind of got away from me. I was going to
- 7:18Speaker 1: talk to you about something else this morning, but did
- 7:20Speaker 1: just only man, because our communities. Man, it's just going
- 7:23Speaker 1: to the pot man, because it ain't nobody can about
- 7:26Speaker 1: nobody else. Don't nobody care when they see that young
- 7:30Speaker 1: dude over that doing wrong. Look at them foods over
- 7:32Speaker 1: that man, Go over there and talk to one of them.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Pull them to the side. Man. You might not be
- 7:37Speaker 1: able to approach the group, but you can approach an individual.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Come in, young man, Let me talk to you. I
- 7:42Speaker 1: saw you the other day. Man. You look like you
- 7:44Speaker 1: got something going on in your life. What's happening with you?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Let me talk to you, man, Let me share something
- 7:48Speaker 1: I learned. I was doing what you was doing. You know.
- 7:52Speaker 1: It's like Tommy did a prank phone call one time
- 7:54Speaker 1: as a limo driver, and the dude the prank was
- 7:58Speaker 1: he called this limo company to ask this limo driver
- 8:02Speaker 1: to take him to this location late at night, and
- 8:06Speaker 1: the limo driver got a young business he going, yeah, okay,
- 8:09Speaker 1: I got you. I don't normally work like that. But
- 8:11Speaker 1: how long you need it? He's say, for just about
- 8:13Speaker 1: an hour? He said, well, I'm gonna have to charge
- 8:14Speaker 1: you for the full three though, because a three hour minimum.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Tommy told him, now, I just need it for one hours.
- 8:20Speaker 1: He said, okay, I'll give you a break, young man.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You're trying to do something. Where you want to go?
- 8:24Speaker 1: He gave the address. The man stopped writing. He said,
- 8:27Speaker 1: that's a bank. He said, yeah. He said, you want
- 8:30Speaker 1: to go to the bank at twelve thirty at night.
- 8:33Speaker 1: He say, yeah, and I'm gonna be in for a
- 8:35Speaker 1: few minutes. And when I come out that bank, I
- 8:38Speaker 1: need for you to flow it. That to dude with
- 8:42Speaker 1: the limo. He stopped writing. He said, ho, hold on,
- 8:44Speaker 1: hold on, man, you want me to take you to
- 8:48Speaker 1: a bank twelve thirty at night. You're gonna be in
- 8:51Speaker 1: there for a few minutes and you're gonna come out,
- 8:53Speaker 1: and you want me to float it. He says, sir,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I don't do stuff like that. He said, you got
- 8:58Speaker 1: the wrong company. He said, what may you call here?
- 9:00Speaker 1: He said, hey, man, don't worry about that. You a
- 9:02Speaker 1: limo come to you. Just dry. He stopped and took
- 9:05Speaker 1: the time out. He said, young man, let me tell
- 9:08Speaker 1: you something. He said. I've been down before, I've been
- 9:11Speaker 1: locked up before. It ain't pretty. He said, that's what's
- 9:14Speaker 1: wrong with you young people to day. Instead of going
- 9:17Speaker 1: to get a job, trying to work your way, you're
- 9:18Speaker 1: always looking for some fast money. Head. I'm gonna tell
- 9:21Speaker 1: you what I already know. Don't go down they're messing
- 9:23Speaker 1: with them people's money like that because they love that
- 9:25Speaker 1: money where more than they love you, and they're gonna
- 9:27Speaker 1: do something to you down now. Now, you stop this foolishness.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And I'm not caring you nowhere, but I'm gonna take
- 9:33Speaker 1: a little bit of time out to tell you something.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Don't go down here with messing with these people's money
- 9:39Speaker 1: because it ain't gonna go good. They're gonna take care
- 9:41Speaker 1: of their business where they come to that money. Tommy
- 9:43Speaker 1: kept insisting to this man to pick him up in
- 9:45Speaker 1: the limit. It was a playing phone call. But the
- 9:47Speaker 1: point I'm making is the man took out time he
- 9:50Speaker 1: could just hung the phone up. But you know what
- 9:52Speaker 1: he's said, he's a hold up, young man. Let me
- 9:54Speaker 1: hip you to something. Because the brother had been locked
- 9:57Speaker 1: up before. He said, no, no, no no, I see I've
- 9:59Speaker 1: done that when I was young. Now I'm gonna stop it.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna take some moment out to tell you. I'm
- 10:02Speaker 1: gonna here, working man trying to earn an honest living.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I ain't going back down there because I don't. They
- 10:08Speaker 1: make you eat what they want you to eat. You
- 10:09Speaker 1: don't want the food. You gotta get up when they
- 10:11Speaker 1: say get up. You gotta stay where they say stay,
- 10:13Speaker 1: live with who they say live. He said, man, you
- 10:15Speaker 1: don't want that, and he just tried to talk the
- 10:18Speaker 1: young man out of it. You can change a young
- 10:20Speaker 1: man's mind with a conversation. A conversation can change a
- 10:24Speaker 1: young man's man. Most of these young men that are
- 10:27Speaker 1: misguided ain't having conversations with real men. They just not
- 10:31Speaker 1: having them. And it's up to us, who know what
- 10:33Speaker 1: manhood is is, to start delivering the message. The problem
- 10:37Speaker 1: that we have in our communities we could solve ourselves.
- 10:40Speaker 1: It didn't escalated to a point because we who are
- 10:42Speaker 1: men won't stop on our corporate climb and our day
- 10:46Speaker 1: to day making money and trying to ball out. We
- 10:49Speaker 1: won't stop and grab some of these young soldiers and
- 10:51Speaker 1: tell them the truth about manhood. That's the real deal. Okay,
- 10:55Speaker 1: So I went there. I don't know where they came from.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies, gentlemen, boys, girls, cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, squirrels, chipmunks,
- 11:15Speaker 1: hawks and eagles, rhinolds and elephants. Man, have you undivided attention? No,
- 11:24Speaker 1: this is not a call to Noah's ark Lister Early
- 11:27Speaker 1: Morning Road called to the Steve Harper Morning. We take it. Everybody. Yeo,
- 11:34Speaker 1: what it is? What it be like? What you're talking about?

- 12:13Speaker 1: said it out loud for the first time. There will

- 12:21Speaker 1: pimpanest player ever been on daytime TV in the history
- 12:25Speaker 1: of it, and there will be no more true. This

- 13:02Speaker 1: the Lord. Oh, he gonna thank the Lord, thank the Lord.
- 13:09Speaker 1: But right after the Lord, right after but his plub
- 13:13Speaker 1: go some other people. You ain't gonna believe. Some other
- 13:19Speaker 1: people in this letter you ain't never heard. These are
- 13:21Speaker 1: new people. Well, uh well, I just gonna say thank
- 13:31Speaker 1: you for the ride you gave us. Man, it was fantastic.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Man we had we cannot say you mean, oh my
- 13:37Speaker 1: God and Junior as writers on the TV time, let
- 13:42Speaker 1: me tell you something, man, it was greatness. Man. It
- 13:46Speaker 1: was not a sad closing. It was a celebration, the
- 13:51Speaker 1: celebration of life. Man. You know, I watched people do
- 13:57Speaker 1: things to try to shut up person up. I watched
- 14:01Speaker 1: they can't now can't break me. You ain't making You

- 14:16Speaker 1: Come on, man, Yeah, it's all good. Okay. What can't
- 14:20Speaker 1: kick me? Can't beat me? And lick me? I'm something.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I'm running out of stuff. I'm running out of things
- 14:26Speaker 1: because that was real random lick me and kick me? Oh?
- 14:31Speaker 1: Is that what it is? All right? Listen, coming up
- 14:34Speaker 1: at thirty two after the hour, we're gonna find out
- 14:36Speaker 1: what the crew is doing for Mother's Day. Kick me right,
- 14:44Speaker 1: you're listening show? All right, guys, Mother's Day is this weekend,
- 14:50Speaker 1: so I just want to ask everyone, what what are

- 14:58Speaker 1: fathers ain't got no mother, so well, you have mothers
- 15:01Speaker 1: in your lives. You have wives, you have daughters who
- 15:04Speaker 1: are mothers. Just throwing that out there. Don't start us

- 15:55Speaker 1: think we can't say anything to him because you know
- 16:02Speaker 1: his conditions, you can't. We have a rule. Now you
- 16:05Speaker 1: damn about that, but we we just have a rule.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Just let him go, just let the baby go. Just

- 16:57Speaker 1: Can I have that chair and he said, what are
- 16:59Speaker 1: you to put that on there? You start off when
- 17:02Speaker 1: you beg and you put your first you go in
- 17:06Speaker 1: the paint all the way because that ensures that you
- 17:12Speaker 1: get to jail. Right. Yeah. Yeah, And it's a nice chair.
- 17:17Speaker 1: It's a nice chair. I haven't gotten it yet, but
- 17:19Speaker 1: we'll see. You ain't that sick? This is so crazy.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I must say, this is a new level. I've never
- 17:28Speaker 1: had an experience like this before. So but you're teaching me, though, Jay,
- 17:35Speaker 1: and you're teaching everyone how to deal with it. You're
- 17:37Speaker 1: dealing with it with humor, with humor. I have to
- 17:40Speaker 1: say I've had a lot of support, you know. Jis
- 17:42Speaker 1: helped me um lady out of Atlantagy had two breasts
- 17:46Speaker 1: removed and talking to people who've been through this and
- 17:49Speaker 1: they told me what to expect. And it's just your attitude.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I'm sitting in the room getting my um chemo and
- 17:56Speaker 1: as a lady who sits next to me and she's like, man,
- 17:59Speaker 1: damn God, keep your thoughts and prayers, keep that damn
- 18:01Speaker 1: on all that. I'm like, can I get another room please?
- 18:04Speaker 1: Because I don't need to be in Yes, you want
- 18:08Speaker 1: to be around with negative Nancy. Yeah, but it's about attitude.
- 18:13Speaker 1: That's that's basically what it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and
- 18:18Speaker 1: your faith of course, yeah, which helps your attitude. Man upstairs, Man,
- 18:23Speaker 1: that's good, man, that's great attitude. Brother, congratulation, that's good.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Has moments, but you know, for the most part, man,
- 18:29Speaker 1: when you do this and you get the right and
- 18:32Speaker 1: that's great man. Create it's fun. Yeah. And then you're
- 18:34Speaker 1: helping so many people Jay with with your experience, you
- 18:37Speaker 1: really really are. Yeah, and that has to be the reward.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Somebody does not anything but the excuse excuse me, Junior,
- 18:47Speaker 1: y'all can really stop all that's great because he has
- 18:50Speaker 1: not changed a story. Yeah he has because me as
- 18:58Speaker 1: soon as sorry, he already he came in and dressed
- 19:01Speaker 1: as a Nigerian today. I don't understand what that means. Yeah,
- 19:09Speaker 1: he had on a black suit, a canary yellow can
- 19:15Speaker 1: canary yellow T shirt and so kentercloth print sneaking. Yes, yes,
- 19:22Speaker 1: keep it. Yeah that's what he say. I'm not I
- 19:30Speaker 1: don't know who y'all feeling sorry for. It's not about that.
- 19:34Speaker 1: He's very inspiring to me, very inspiring. Na oh man.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Remember the video y'all played for me. Yesterday and told
- 19:43Speaker 1: me I was trending. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, we yeah.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Kevin Hart posted it on his page really and said, man,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'd have learned so much from him. Yeah, And that
- 19:59Speaker 1: was just like crazy. Man. I was just scrolling through Instagram,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you know, looking for funny stuff, and it popped up
- 20:05Speaker 1: and I said, man, that's all right boy, what is it?
- 20:10Speaker 1: You know? One day after one of the shows a
- 20:13Speaker 1: couple of months ago, I had a beard. Some lady
- 20:17Speaker 1: had asked me in the orders now, they don't put
- 20:18Speaker 1: all this up, They just take a thirty seconds bill.
- 20:21Speaker 1: And she was talking to me about becoming successful. And
- 20:24Speaker 1: I was asking her some questions and I said, you know,
- 20:27Speaker 1: you get up early in the morning. I don't like
- 20:29Speaker 1: getting up early. And I said, well, that's gonna be hard.
- 20:33Speaker 1: So we had an exchange back and forth, and she
- 20:35Speaker 1: was telling me how she sleeped around ten o'clock. And
- 20:38Speaker 1: we were going back and forth, and it got it
- 20:41Speaker 1: kind of crazy. So I was giving a speech and
- 20:42Speaker 1: I got passionate about you can't sleep eight hours a
- 20:45Speaker 1: day and expect to get rich in this country. Rich
- 20:48Speaker 1: people don't sleep eight hours. Rich people got to grind.
- 20:51Speaker 1: And I was just saying that as a general statement
- 20:53Speaker 1: of encouragement, so you don't sleep your day away. Man.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many people took that the
- 20:59Speaker 1: wrong wealth health wealth over health. I never even mentioned
- 21:04Speaker 1: damn hell and so I never I ain't never said
- 21:07Speaker 1: nothing about wealth over health. Health is the most important thing.
- 21:10Speaker 1: You got your health in your time. But who said
- 21:13Speaker 1: you need eight hours to be healthy? Hell? I know
- 21:16Speaker 1: people to get eight hours sick as hell? All right, yeah, listen,
- 21:22Speaker 1: Coming up next, we're gonna finish Steve's thought here what
- 21:26Speaker 1: he's talking about with the wealth versus sleep, and then

- 29:56Speaker 1: his friends shoplift five hundred dollars worth of clothing from
- 30:00Speaker 1: a store in Newport Beach, California, and it was all
- 30:04Speaker 1: caught on video. Steve Dennis Rodman, Yes, Dennis Rodman. Steve
- 30:09Speaker 1: is seen walking into the ViBe's hot yoga store with
- 30:13Speaker 1: two women and one men one man. As Rodman chats
- 30:17Speaker 1: with employees, his friends can be seen stuffing clothing into
- 30:21Speaker 1: their purses. At one point, a woman stands behind Rodman
- 30:26Speaker 1: as she places an item into her bag. The mail
- 30:28Speaker 1: companion is also seen trying to carry out a large
- 30:31Speaker 1: twenty five hundred dollar crystal art piece, which he drops
- 30:35Speaker 1: and shatters all over the floor dummy. The owner of
- 30:40Speaker 1: the store says Dennis Rodman blamed employees for the broken
- 30:43Speaker 1: crystal and refused to pay for it. The group then
- 30:46Speaker 1: left the store with a piece of the crystal and
- 30:48Speaker 1: the other stolen merchandise. Employees say Dennis Rodman and his
- 30:52Speaker 1: friend smelled of alcohol. The store has filed a theft
- 30:55Speaker 1: report with police, and Dennis Rodman is on probation. He
- 30:59Speaker 1: was already on pro patient huh, simming from a drunk

- 33:39Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne trip. Thank you guys. Okay,
- 33:44Speaker 1: this is a trip with the news and good morning.
- 33:46Speaker 1: The United States has reportedly seized the North Korean cargo ship,
- 33:49Speaker 1: and we'll seize yesterday. That cargo ship is accused of
- 33:52Speaker 1: violating international sanctions in April. We'll see how that works out.
- 33:55Speaker 1: According to the New York Daily News, Get This, a
- 33:58Speaker 1: British radio personalities out of a job after posting a
- 34:01Speaker 1: racist photo on his Twitter account of two white people
- 34:04Speaker 1: escorting a monkey dressed in a suit down some steps
- 34:07Speaker 1: with a caption Royal baby leaves the hospital. Reporter Caru
- 34:11Speaker 1: Daniel says that Danny Baker or the BBC exposed himself
- 34:14Speaker 1: as a royal blank and a likely racist, and now
- 34:17Speaker 1: he's out of work and he tells his now former
- 34:19Speaker 1: bosses this guy to f off the picture. By the way,
- 34:22Speaker 1: he's on my Facebook page. Very very racist. The Senate
- 34:26Speaker 1: Intelligence Committee subpoena Donald Trump Junior, but since the Senate
- 34:29Speaker 1: is controlled by the Republicans, the demand for Trump's junior's
- 34:31Speaker 1: appearance has set off an internal fight within the GOP
- 34:35Speaker 1: over its Russian meddling probe and a lot of stuff. Nevertheless,
- 34:37Speaker 1: it looks like the committee Chairman North Carolina is Richard
- 34:40Speaker 1: Burr is showing no signs of back and down, something
- 34:43Speaker 1: that seems to leave the president kind of perplexed. He's
- 34:46Speaker 1: now testified for twenty hours or something, a massive amount
- 34:51Speaker 1: of time. The Muller report came out. That's the bible.
- 34:55Speaker 1: The Muller report came out, and they said he did
- 34:58Speaker 1: nothing wrong. Well, Santa Burrs says committee wants to talk
- 35:00Speaker 1: to Donald Junior about his twenty seventeen testimony before the
- 35:03Speaker 1: panel about Russian election medaling because some Republicans blasting Senator
- 35:08Speaker 1: bur for calling Trump Junior up to be questioned by
- 35:10Speaker 1: the committee again anyway. The ride handling company Uber is
- 35:14Speaker 1: to make its stock market debut today at forty five
- 35:16Speaker 1: dollars a share, which is on the lower end really
- 35:18Speaker 1: of its possible price range. Uber expects to pocket just
- 35:21Speaker 1: over eight billion dollars in this initial public offering. Lawmakers
- 35:26Speaker 1: in the state of Alabama preparing to put a bunch
- 35:28Speaker 1: of new limits on abortion, with a measure that would
- 35:31Speaker 1: criminalize most of them. Voters in Denver have voted to
- 35:34Speaker 1: decriminalize hallucinogenic mushrooms funny mushrooms. A judge in Charlottesville Virginia
- 35:40Speaker 1: has ruled that two Confederate statues cannot be removed from
- 35:43Speaker 1: downtown Charlotsville because their war monuments and cannot be moved
- 35:47Speaker 1: by law. The racist Unite the Right rally back in
- 35:50Speaker 1: August twenty seventeen, you might remember, was organized partly because
- 35:54Speaker 1: of the effort to get rid of all those Confederate
- 35:56Speaker 1: monuments and symbols in Charlottesville, and that's why they apparently
- 36:00Speaker 1: took the streets with the tiki torches, and also saying
- 36:03Speaker 1: that the Jews, the Jews, the Jews will not replace us.
- 36:06Speaker 1: That was their chant. On a much lighter note, this
- 36:09Speaker 1: is National Nurses. That's right. He wants to see his nurse. Hey,
- 36:16Speaker 1: it's all about remembering Mary Eliza Mahoney. Let's do that.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Mary Mahoney Mahony Mahoney rather the first African American professional
- 36:23Speaker 1: nurse in the US, graduating from the New England Hospital
- 36:26Speaker 1: for Women and Children in eighteen seventy nine at age

- 36:31Speaker 1: Boston who registered to vote. She was a co founder
- 36:33Speaker 1: of the National Association of Colored Graduate Nurses. Mary Eliza Mahoney,
- 36:37Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening

- 49:17Speaker 1: But you're ay's gonna be running up on my wife
- 49:19Speaker 1: man about your damn by the building man out and
- 49:21Speaker 1: told you for the Land Times that I don't know
- 49:24Speaker 1: who your wife is. I deal with women all they
- 49:27Speaker 1: loan this, Jim. I don't walk around here with the
- 49:30Speaker 1: shirt off. I got on a damn T shirt. So
- 49:33Speaker 1: why is my wife telling me you're the one running
- 49:35Speaker 1: up on her flexing? You with all your muscles and
- 49:37Speaker 1: all this? Man? Why muscle muscle, Marvin, because I flexed
- 49:41Speaker 1: when I finished lifting. If you would know what a
- 49:43Speaker 1: muscle really look a feel, likes, you would understand the
- 49:45Speaker 1: process of that. But obviously says I don't never see
- 49:48Speaker 1: yo lia twenty two pounds up here. They don't know
- 49:50Speaker 1: that area. Don't you tell me about muscles. I got
- 49:53Speaker 1: a muscles too, Muscle Marby. Now I might not be

- 50:15Speaker 1: who disrespect me. You called me with this man. I
- 50:18Speaker 1: told you in a very Virginia I didn't know who
- 50:21Speaker 1: your wife was. Now you study trying to make me
- 50:23Speaker 1: know somebody I don't know. Brock. I don't have time
- 50:25Speaker 1: for the I'm on up your soul talking. If you
- 50:28Speaker 1: run upon my wife again, I'm gonna get far with
- 50:31Speaker 1: your ignity because it's obvious you are power. You ain't
- 50:33Speaker 1: no man, because you was took the awful when I
- 50:35Speaker 1: told you to bring your little trump here and we
- 50:37Speaker 1: could have figured this here hiding person. You want to talk,
- 50:39Speaker 1: fly over the phone, get up off you and come
- 50:42Speaker 1: down here and we could take care of this right now.
- 50:44Speaker 1: You ain't gonna make no threats over the phone, Broth,
- 50:46Speaker 1: bring your little up here to where I'm at. You're
- 50:48Speaker 1: hitting it. I don't feel like that. I got too

- 50:56Speaker 1: like that. It's gonna be a misunderstanding and you ain't
- 50:59Speaker 1: prepare the handlet. I got one more thing I need
- 51:01Speaker 1: to say to you, is you're listening. I'm hell yeah,
- 51:03Speaker 1: I'm listening. I'm listening for you to say you got
- 51:04Speaker 1: your honey eighty five pounds on your way down here
- 51:07Speaker 1: today so we could take care of this here. Listen,
- 51:10Speaker 1: nephew Tommy from the Steve Harbin Morning Show. You just
- 51:13Speaker 1: got pranked by your homeboard. You said, what hello, man?
- 51:21Speaker 1: What did you say? Mussa? Marvin? M all right, man,

- 51:58Speaker 1: I gotta ask you, man, what is what is the
- 52:00Speaker 1: baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show in the

- 52:22Speaker 1: is dangerous for me. I just introduce him. I'm not
- 52:26Speaker 1: hitting first of all, I'm talking, oh yeah, and there's
- 52:31Speaker 1: that yeah yeah, oh yeah. Ain't fast that too? And
- 52:40Speaker 1: I'm fast. We've proved both en points. I don't say
- 52:45Speaker 1: none of that though. I just was pointing. You don't
- 52:50Speaker 1: have to be He's not here, Jay, I'm never We
- 52:55Speaker 1: know you gotta be careful his partner to be the

- 53:31Speaker 1: We could be reading your letter live on the air,
- 53:33Speaker 1: just like we're gonna read this one right here, right
- 53:35Speaker 1: now today. Okay, all right, everybody, it's that time. It's
- 53:39Speaker 1: time for the Strawberry Letter with my free sureless straw
- 53:42Speaker 1: That's right, that's right. Subject my freaky old man. Listen up, guys.
- 53:47Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I am dating a distinguished retired man
- 53:52Speaker 1: and after our second date, he told me that I
- 53:55Speaker 1: needed to have an open mind about sex because he
- 53:57Speaker 1: lives in alternative lifestyle. He told me that he is
- 54:01Speaker 1: into bondage and domination. I told him we are not
- 54:05Speaker 1: compatible because I'm not into kinky sex. After a few days,
- 54:09Speaker 1: he called and told me that he liked me so
- 54:11Speaker 1: much he'd change just for me. So we've been dating
- 54:15Speaker 1: for two years and our relationship is great. So he
- 54:20Speaker 1: never once tried his freaky sex moves on me. But
- 54:23Speaker 1: here's my problem. Last month, I discovered that he's back
- 54:26Speaker 1: into his old tricks and he's been viewing porn daily,
- 54:30Speaker 1: and he goes into live online chat rooms with women
- 54:34Speaker 1: to play out his sexual fantasies. Outwardly, he looks like
- 54:37Speaker 1: a decent, churchgoing man, but behind closed doors, he has
- 54:42Speaker 1: a freaky secret that he is hiding from me. I'm
- 54:46Speaker 1: not concerned that he will cheat on me because we
- 54:48Speaker 1: haven't had sex in the past year because of his age,
- 54:52Speaker 1: his health, and limited sexual function. I'm ten years younger
- 54:56Speaker 1: than he is, and I've contemplated leaving him because we
- 55:00Speaker 1: don't have sex. I think he needs to seek counseling
- 55:04Speaker 1: because his fantasies are taking over and forcing him to lie,
- 55:07Speaker 1: lie to me about what he's been doing in his
- 55:10Speaker 1: spare time. I could leave this man and start over
- 55:13Speaker 1: with a new man, but at my age, I do
- 55:16Speaker 1: not want to start dating again. Should I tell him
- 55:19Speaker 1: that I'm hip to what he's doing? Or should I
- 55:22Speaker 1: just mind my business and let him be as freaky
- 55:25Speaker 1: as he wants to be in private? Please help? Well,
- 55:31Speaker 1: I'm just gonna tell you this doesn't sound like a
- 55:33Speaker 1: good match you and dude, it just doesn't. I mean,
- 55:37Speaker 1: he's into all this freaky stuff that you're absolutely not into,
- 55:41Speaker 1: you know, this bondage, this kinky sex domination, and although
- 55:45Speaker 1: he did stop for a while, he couldn't keep it
- 55:47Speaker 1: up through out your relationship. He's back into it. He's
- 55:50Speaker 1: back into the porn. Now. I just say, you know,
- 55:54Speaker 1: you guys, haven't had sex in a year. That's a problem.
- 55:57Speaker 1: That's over half your relationship or half your relationship. You've
- 56:00Speaker 1: only dated him for two years. This is not what
- 56:04Speaker 1: you want. Nothing in this letter is indicating that this
- 56:07Speaker 1: is what you want. You want a man who's sensitive
- 56:09Speaker 1: to your needs. You want a man who gives you sex,
- 56:13Speaker 1: who gives you intimacy. You want love, you want attention.
- 56:17Speaker 1: You don't want kinky sex and porn. I think you're settling,
- 56:21Speaker 1: and you don't sound happy, like you're you know, good
- 56:25Speaker 1: with this relationship. You just don't sound like that. You
- 56:27Speaker 1: don't give his age, but you do say you're ten
- 56:30Speaker 1: years younger. And you said the word hip. That's kind
- 56:33Speaker 1: of an old school word. So you know, I just
- 56:37Speaker 1: tell you this, don't settle. You definitely definitely deserve better
- 56:41Speaker 1: than kinky, freaky man that you're with. Okay, Steve, Hello, Right,
- 56:48Speaker 1: Well oh I was like, Mic was, all oh, all right,
- 56:52Speaker 1: everybody in this letter. Old. Yeah, let's just get your
- 56:57Speaker 1: he's a distinguished retire gentleman. Okay, he old. He told
- 57:02Speaker 1: me I need to have an open mind about sex
- 57:06Speaker 1: because he lives an alternative lifestyle. Alternative lifestyle. What are
- 57:14Speaker 1: we talking about? Alternative lifestyle? Something other than what you
- 57:19Speaker 1: used to come on? Something direct opposite? Oh, what you've
- 57:26Speaker 1: been doing a place that you have never gone. I
- 57:34Speaker 1: want you to have old mind because we didn't been
- 57:35Speaker 1: to do some things that you ain't thought of. But
- 57:39Speaker 1: I have because I have an alternative lifestyle. That means
- 57:44Speaker 1: another look at alternative means another viewpoint. Yeah, another way
- 57:53Speaker 1: to go about it. He told me that he's into
- 57:56Speaker 1: bondage and domination. Now, who who are you talking about?
- 58:01Speaker 1: Time up? Let me play something to you all. I
- 58:07Speaker 1: played with you. I play a little rain deal game,
- 58:10Speaker 1: but not tying meal. I've done that when I was younger.
- 58:14Speaker 1: One time, big mistake. Never happened. You didn't tell us
- 58:17Speaker 1: about that. I'm telling you about it right now. Tell
- 58:21Speaker 1: us where we're playing this handcuffed game. I got handcuffed
- 58:29Speaker 1: to the headboard. Okay, I'm about one hundred and sixty
- 58:35Speaker 1: pounds about when it's strong cuff Steve when it really
- 58:42Speaker 1: strong study, Well there was for me at one. It's enough. Now.
- 58:51Speaker 1: What I didn't know was she had two sets of keys.
- 58:55Speaker 1: But she opened up the bathroom and took the first
- 58:58Speaker 1: set as a joke and flushed it down the toilet
- 59:01Speaker 1: what part of it in the room and started doing
- 59:06Speaker 1: things against my wheel. Now it was INJOBB until it
- 59:14Speaker 1: was over. But it wasn't that enjoyed. When it was over,
- 59:21Speaker 1: I said, I right now, come on, quick playing open
- 59:23Speaker 1: it up. I flushed it down to Yeah, I saw that,
- 59:27Speaker 1: but quick playing, stick your hand in the toilet, do something.
- 59:31Speaker 1: I gotta get to your cups off. Then she acted
- 59:35Speaker 1: like she left. She got dressed and left what all
- 59:40Speaker 1: her clothes all clothes though I told this, damn bed up.
- 59:48Speaker 1: Got back in that it wasn't a bed no more.
- 59:51Speaker 1: She's been going about two hours. It took me a
- 59:54Speaker 1: long time, I told this, damn bed up. I told
- 59:58Speaker 1: all the skin off my wrist. I was bleeding. She
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: came in that room and it looked like a scene
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: from the exoc You have the craziest stories lying, ain't them? No,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: damn bondage. I don't even know what domination is. You

- 1:01:13Speaker 1: we are back with today's Strawberry Letter. The subject to
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: my Freaky old Man, let's recap. Lady dating is man.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: He told us she needs to start thinking about they
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: have sex because he got alternative lifestyle. He in the
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: bondage and domination. She said she ain't into that. He
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: waited for a few days, calling back and said, I
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: like you so much, I'm gonna change my ways. They've
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: been dating for two years. The relationship is great. He
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: ain't never once tried nothing. Freaky sex moves on me.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: But he's the problem. Last moment I'll discovered he backed
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: up to his old tricks on chat rooms with women
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: to play out a sexual fantasy. Outwardly looks like a
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: decent churchgoing man, but behind closed doors, he got a
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: freaking secret that he's hiding from me. I'm not concerned
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: that he would cheat on me because we haven't had
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: sex in the past year because of his age, his
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: health and limited sexual function. Wow, I'm ten years younger
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: than he is, and I've contemplated leaving him because we
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: don't have sex. Didn't you just say that he is
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: somewhere living out He goes into live online chat rooms
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: with women to play out his sexual fantasy. Now if
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: he that damn sick, he that old and limited sexual function,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: could it be because it's all going online? That could
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: be he doing something so mud Because if y'all ain't
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: had sex in the year, but you have discover this
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: other side, he's somewhere doing something. See, I think what
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: did happened if he'd got bored? He tried to live
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: this live at you long as he could, but he
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: wants to get him will He's somewhere looking for somebody
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: standing on the back of his thigh with some hot
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: heeled shoes on. He won't that what he's somewweting. Oh
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: my god, this is the alternate lifestyle this old man
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: is living. He's some Wow, somebody got whipp Have you
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: looked at his back, late dude, he looked like he escaped.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: He checked his back. Whip mark. That's dominational sex. You
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: got to start looking for marks on him. Now. That'll
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: explain what y'all hands actually the Yeah, I think he
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: needs to seek counseling because his fantasies are taken over
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: and forcing him to lie to me about what he's
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: been doing in this bad time. If he lied to
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: you by what he's doing in this bad time, what
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: makes you think he ain't having sex? Y'all ain't have
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: sex in a year because you don't do what he
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: won't He told you when you met he into alternative sex.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Let's break down the word all turner tell him sex.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Altar means to adjust or change. Turned means your turn. Yeah, Nick,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: it's the end word. Are you kidding me? Right now?
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: It's all to the it's your turn. If Tanya, that's
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: what he made, damn man, and she looked on his body,

- 1:18:58Speaker 1: parents with older kids dealing with this situations? Can I
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: can I just say this? Yeah, I have never in
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: my life asked my mom for a thousand dollars. I
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: never even let statement, never came out of my mouth.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: As an old man who I am standing before you too,

- 1:19:25Speaker 1: gonna need a how much need thousand dollars? Thousand dollars,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: one whole thousand. Now it's so weird. My son bought
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: me something yesterday and I said, I give him the money.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: Back and said, no, you keep it cum I'm gonna
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: pay you back. I'm like, you're gonna take five dollars

- 1:21:08Speaker 1: don't have a job or anything, here's a problem. You'll
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: always be their parents, yeah right, you don't always love them.

- 1:23:03Speaker 1: down the toilet. In case you were wondering, it seems
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: we do lead the world in toilet paper consumption, as
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: the average American tears through one hundred and forty one
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: toilet paper rolls in a year. This is compared to
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: one hundred and thirty four rolls by people in Germany
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: and one hundred and twenty seven rolls by those in England. England, Yeah,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: the average American, Yeah, one hundred forty one roles in
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: a year, in a year. Yeah, how you mean per household? Yeah?
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: I think it just says the average American. Maybe it
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: does mean household, but it says I think so. Yeah,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: maybe one person using one hundred forty four rolls. It
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: ain't but fifty two weeks in a year. I'm just seven.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: Have you seen my uncle? Yeah? Heat per person, I
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: don't know. This seems reasonable to me. One hundred and
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: forty one rolls a toilet paper per year, per person.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Are you d you think that's per household? Maybe that
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: word is missing from the story. Yeah, but you know what,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: it's two a week. That's almost molding two a week.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: Wait what I say? Now that I have a little money,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: my tilet paper is way better than back in the day.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: I mean it's like what I can afford that? What now?
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: I have bought the bottom rat stuff and I'll tell
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: you what my damn Scott single plow. Oh yeah, man,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: my aunt used to buy that. Yeah. Nothing, push your
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: finger through that. I cannot I'm telling you right now.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: It's surprised your ass to down? Man? What man? It's
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: what's that? Sounds? You push my finger through? And can't
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: we say? Also them every hotel, don't you high quality?
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: For all the ones I go to? Alright, well, I've
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: been in some hotels the hang up the paper on
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: the clothes man, hanger is soft? Man? Is what? So? Well?
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: Why don't they find an alternative? You just for the night. No,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: I'm talking about just carried Canada for shrinking. We can't
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: making out of nothing else cotton. Just gott to find
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: a way to make a stick together better. Last thing
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: you want go back? You take your jaws. I'm turning around,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: all this white dust coming up out your kred. Don't
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: kill fell, that's gonna kill it. You turn around, look
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: like you got a little bunnet rabbit in your kred.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: I really regret doing this story. Yeah, wow, Okay, you're
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: quite done? Yes they are. You know what. I'm wiped
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: out with this story. Let's keep rolling along, Jay, We'll
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: be back with more on the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: right after this ignorant show. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. In today's entertainment news, Dennis Rodman, Do
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: you guys hear about this? Dennis Rodman is accused of
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: helping his friends shoplift five hundred dollars worth of clothing
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: from a store and New Part Beach, California, and it
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: was all caught on video. Steve Dennis Rodman, Yes, Dennis Rodman.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: Steve is seen walking into the ViBe's Hot Yoga store
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: with two women and one men at one man. As
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: Rodman chats with employees, his friends can be seen stuffing
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: clothing into their purses. At one point, a woman stands
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: behind Rodman as she places an item into her bag.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: The mail companion is also seen trying to carry out
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: a large twenty five hundred dollar crystal art piece, which
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: he drops and shatters all over the floor. Dummy. The
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: owner of the store says Dennis Rodman blamed employees for
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: the broken crystal and refused to pay for it. The
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: group then left the store with a piece of the
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: crystal and the other stolen merchandise. Employees say Dennis Rodman
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: and his friend smelled of alcohol. The store has filed
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: a theft report with police, and Dennis Rodman is on probation.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: He was already on probation, huh, stemming from a drunk
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: driving a rest last year. Come on, Dennis, what did
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: I oh that steal? I don't got to steal what
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: you're gonna get me for a lot of stuff. But
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: still in yoga pants? Okay man, matter of fact, I
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: want to thank the haters right now for dogging me
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: stuff I saved. But please don't get me. I'm still
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: in yoga pants. Don't give me. I want with my
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: friend Hoich Kip. The whole town ain't going wrong. I
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: wrong wrong, Tell him kill he said. Then he said, Dennis,
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: a run. He's in trouble. Man. You've done a lot
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: of big in trouble. It's yeah, m friends, get wak
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: the up fund on the time, walk up for a
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: long time, A lot up whites out, dinnis a woman
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: whits out? Get it? Used to that man lights out?
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: Who did a woman whits out? Through outs out? Wife
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: wife out some one? He got his mega white a woman.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I don't give a well a watch? Ass I hate
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: him a child time in about one time right now?
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: Your whites out? Get him, Steve, get him give how
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: do you say? Don't give it? Say don't get how?
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: Don't give it a watch? Ass? Are you just doing yoga?
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: Is it you? Yoga? Pe? And so that's an Ignoran show.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: All right? Are you guys quite done? Oh? You guys
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: are crazy? All right? Uh listen, coming up our last
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: break of the day and of the week and Steve's
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: closing remarks right after this. You're listening to all right, Steve,
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: here we go, last break of the day, last break
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: of the week. It's been a good week. Um, it's
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: been a good day. Actually a good friday. Oh, yesterday
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: was the last day of my talk show. Yeah you
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: know I wanted too hard mentioned today. Yesterday was the
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: last day of my talk show. It's over seven years,
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's a rap. NBC made a decision
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: at the beginning of the year that they were going
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: to give the time slot to Atlas Kelly Clarkson, and
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: I appreciated that, knowing that at the beginning of the year,
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: because I appreciated it from so well. They didn't come
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: and tell it to me. They just made the decision.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: That didn't really bother me. You know, you'd like to
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: be treated a little bit more respectful when you give
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: a network seven years, But it was fine. You made
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: your decision. Uh. You know. It led me to thinking
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: about that's why it's so important to be an owner
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: in this world. When you own, you can have better
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: control of things. But I wasn't Saddin. On yesterday, the
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: last day, it was a celebration. I thank my staff.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: I bought them out on stage. I put all of
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: them on TV and I just thanked them all man,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: because they did really really good job out here. And
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: then five years up in Chicago, and maybe seven years
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: is enough because on my last show, I did the
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: two things that I wanted to be known for. First
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: of all, I had Bishop td Jake's on the show
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: because I've always tried to mention spirituality in some level
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: on my show, even though it gets overlooked on a
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: lot of shows on daytime TV. I tried to make
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: sure that I kept a decent amount of mentions of
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: God and prayer and faith and overcoming and lessons like that.
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: The other thing that I did on the show was
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: I went to my fraternity's Chapters fiftieth anniversary, just to
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: Chapter's fiftieth anniversary, and while I was there, a couple
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: of brothers asked me to go to a meeting with administration.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: While I was there, I struck a deal with them.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: Kent State has never had a national television commercial, so
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: I told them I could put that commercial on my
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: talk show if they, in exchange, would give me eight
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: boys full rides scholarships. I told him, y'all got four
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: weeks to make the decision, and through the grace of God,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: they came through. So on my last show, I sent
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: eight African American boys to college on a four year
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: full ride scholarship through my foundation, which is a great
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: accomplishment for us. And those are the two things that
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: I wanted to be known for. And so when I
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: was leaving it was it was a celebration, a spiritual awakening,
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: a realization. And then on my way out, helped eight
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: people I've never met, young black boys who pride when
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: they got the news that they were going to go
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: to college because they were trying to figure it out.
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: And that's what it was. And so I celebrate it.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: I thanked everybody. I thank my fans for their support.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: Over the years, I talked to my haters a little
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: bit and try to implore them to take that energy
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: and put it to more useful things like uplifting yourself,
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: because I tried to forewarn haters that when you when
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: you push out that type of energy, that energy is
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: gonna come back to you. You see it happening time
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: and time again to people who constantly push out negativity.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: Then when negativity happens to them, they sitting there surprise,
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: you know. And so that's always been the case, and
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: I've always wanted people to kind of, you know, be
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: aware of that. So it was a good show and
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: I walked away and I felt good. And the reason
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: I felt good was because I'm turning the page. Man,
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: God has something so much greater for me. And sometimes
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: it got to force your hand a little bit test faith.
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: And now Bishop Jake's pointed something out to him. I said, hey, man,
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: I don't really know what I'm gonna do. And he stops.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: He said him, man, let me jump in here right quick.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: He said, you're not supposed to know. You're just supposed
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: to go. He said, if you knew it wouldn't you
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: wouldn't need faith anymore. Faith is a belief in things
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: that you cannot see. But all I do know for
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: show is that what He has for me, it's gonna
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: be way bigger, way better. What the door that was
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: closed yesterday, Because God don't close the door without opening
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: another one. He just don't. He has never done that
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: to me in the sixty two years I've been here.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: Why would he start doing it not. That's not how
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: God operates. He's a good God. He's a fair God.
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: He's a just God. And I love him, man. And
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: I appreciate the run I was on. I appreciate all
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: the fans, y'all's thoughts, everything, But I want y'all to
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: know we're gonna be good. Don't even worry about it.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: The sun is shining man on me. God got me
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: like he always has and just like he always had
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: you too. That's the same thing. And also I want
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: to say Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there.
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: You are such a blessing. Man. Mothers are such a blessing.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: Such when you got a good mother, you have you
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: You're fortunate. Man, you're fortunate. A lot of people don't
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: have good parents. But man, if you got a great mother,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: if you got a good mother, that's a great thing
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: to have. And listen to me. If you aren't any
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: odds with your mom and you all her might not
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: be speaking on and got mad at each other about something,
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: do yourself a favor. You're an adult. Go over there
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: and fix it. Take take it on the chin, do
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: whatever you gotta do with fix it, because I hate
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: for the day to come when you don't have a
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: no more. You ain't gonna believe how you're gonna feel.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: I don't care who you are. When your mother leaves
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: this earth, it's it's a fning feeling because this is
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: the person that gave you life. So whatever you're tripping
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: with with about your mom, go fix it. Y'all. Have
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: a great Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to Shirley, Happy
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: Mother's Day to Carlo and our happy Mother's Day to
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: all the mothers out there, and we love y'all. This
