- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show today? Is it? Everybody? On a
- 2:12Speaker 1: real positive note? Today? Is it? Today? Is the day?
- 2:17Speaker 1: You know, when I was in high school, you know,
- 2:20Speaker 1: my mother was a Sunday school teaching until she passed.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I would walk out the door every morning on my
- 2:26Speaker 1: way to school, and my mother used to say, listen
- 2:29Speaker 1: to me, son, hey, don't forget. Today is the day
- 2:31Speaker 1: that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be
- 2:34Speaker 1: glad in it. And you know, I ain't think much
- 2:36Speaker 1: of it. You know, it's just my mama being religious,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you know, my spiritual woman. So you know I just
- 2:41Speaker 1: took it as that. But as I've gotten older, man,
- 2:44Speaker 1: you know that's registered more and more with me. Today
- 2:47Speaker 1: is the day that the Lord has made. Let us
- 2:49Speaker 1: rejoice and be glad in it. That's pretty cool, man.
- 2:53Speaker 1: What better blessing will you get throughout the day than
- 2:57Speaker 1: the fact that he allowed you to live and see
- 2:59Speaker 1: another day? See sometimes, man, when you're young, you don't
- 3:03Speaker 1: pay no attention to that. But all you got to
- 3:05Speaker 1: do is keep living, keep watching some people that you
- 3:08Speaker 1: know not be here anymore. Go to class reunions and
- 3:12Speaker 1: they're smaller. See people that you really loved. It meant
- 3:15Speaker 1: a lot till you leave this world, and all of
- 3:17Speaker 1: a sudden, man, immortality starts to matter a great deal
- 3:22Speaker 1: to you. Some of us learned this lesson sooner than others.
- 3:26Speaker 1: But I know, when you're young, man, you know you
- 3:28Speaker 1: think you're gonna be here for a while. You think
- 3:29Speaker 1: you got time to play around, You think you got
- 3:31Speaker 1: time to get it together, you got time to make
- 3:34Speaker 1: the mistakes. And but man, oh man, almost every full
- 3:37Speaker 1: blown adult that I know will tell you and have
- 3:40Speaker 1: said these words right here many times. And I would
- 3:43Speaker 1: see the reason I'm saying this because I want you
- 3:45Speaker 1: to hear them, because you're gonna use them. If I
- 3:47Speaker 1: only knew then what I know. Now. Do you know
- 3:50Speaker 1: how many people have said those words right there? Because
- 3:54Speaker 1: in time, man, you gain so much wisdom. Oh but
- 3:57Speaker 1: it ain't like nobody didn't tell you though. Somebody told
- 4:00Speaker 1: you back then. Hey man, it's best to buckle down now,
- 4:03Speaker 1: he said, Hey man, you better quit wasting time. Hey, look,
- 4:06Speaker 1: do your best at all the times. You know, stop
- 4:09Speaker 1: stop worrying about that. I'm telling you, son, in a minute,
- 4:11Speaker 1: them clubs ain't gonna mean nothing to you. In a minute,
- 4:14Speaker 1: they're going out all the time, ain't gonna mean nothing
- 4:16Speaker 1: to you. I can't tell you how many times I
- 4:18Speaker 1: repeat it to my kids. But man, today is a
- 4:21Speaker 1: different day, because today is the day that the Lord
- 4:24Speaker 1: is made. So he gave you a shot today. If
- 4:27Speaker 1: you woke up this morning, or if you're finishing your
- 4:29Speaker 1: day on your shift, he gave you a new day.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Nothing bigger than the fact that he woke you up today. Now,
- 4:38Speaker 1: why don't you do something about that? Why don't you
- 4:40Speaker 1: take advantage of it? How About if you start today?
- 4:43Speaker 1: How About if you stop hesitating today. How About if
- 4:45Speaker 1: you stop delaying it today? How about if you stop
- 4:48Speaker 1: procrastinating today. How About if you make today to day
- 4:51Speaker 1: that you go forward. I mean, man, let's all just
- 4:54Speaker 1: decide today, let's go forward. Let's put forth a maximum
- 4:58Speaker 1: effort today. I mean really, and what you're doing you look, man,
- 5:01Speaker 1: take advantage of this blessing of waking up, do something
- 5:05Speaker 1: to day. If you would just start the process, man,
- 5:08Speaker 1: start that business you always dreamed of. Go looking to
- 5:11Speaker 1: that other job you always yearn for. Go get the
- 5:14Speaker 1: training you need to get the promotion. Man, going back
- 5:17Speaker 1: to school. Man, go see what you need to do
- 5:20Speaker 1: to lift yourself to the next level. Stop waking up
- 5:23Speaker 1: every day seeing high it's gonna go, and start waking
- 5:26Speaker 1: up and do something about how it goes. If you
- 5:29Speaker 1: make one step, he'll make two. But you could people
- 5:32Speaker 1: talk about all the time, Man, it seemed like you're
- 5:33Speaker 1: always getting a blessing. Oh man, when you're talking to
- 5:36Speaker 1: a person, Listen to this. If you're talking to a
- 5:39Speaker 1: person and it seems like there's always a blessing coming
- 5:43Speaker 1: his way, let me tell you what that person doing.
- 5:45Speaker 1: That person is putting one foot in front of the next.
- 5:48Speaker 1: That person is putting forth some efforts out there. And
- 5:51Speaker 1: that's the only way God can bless you. God can
- 5:54Speaker 1: only bless you with your efforts. He can only put
- 5:56Speaker 1: his finger on the thing that you are doing all attempting.
- 6:02Speaker 1: That's all he can help you with. He that are
- 6:05Speaker 1: no jobs walking up to your door, knocking on your door.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But if you're beating the payment, if you're sitting in
- 6:11Speaker 1: the apps, if you own line, scouring somewhere to work,
- 6:13Speaker 1: somewhere to get a job, then God can touch somebody's
- 6:16Speaker 1: hard to hire you. But if you're sitting at the
- 6:18Speaker 1: house every day, smoke everyday, drinking, But you wonder why
- 6:23Speaker 1: you just can't get a job. The a couple of
- 6:25Speaker 1: times you don't want out there, you got to If
- 6:27Speaker 1: you ain't got a job, you gotta go get one
- 6:29Speaker 1: every day. You got to go look for one every
- 6:31Speaker 1: single day. You can't take no days off. How about today?
- 6:35Speaker 1: How about today? If we decide today is a day
- 6:38Speaker 1: that we're gonna make the move. Today is the day
- 6:41Speaker 1: that we stop delaying, hesitating, procrastinating. Today is today that
- 6:45Speaker 1: we take a step in the direction to do something
- 6:47Speaker 1: for ourselves, for our lives, for our family, for our wives,
- 6:50Speaker 1: for our children, for our community, for our school. Do
- 6:54Speaker 1: something today, for crying out loud, man, stop sitting in
- 6:58Speaker 1: your own life. In just a stew of misery in
- 7:03Speaker 1: your own life. I'm gonna tell you something. If you
- 7:06Speaker 1: are in a state of confusion, if you are troubling,
- 7:09Speaker 1: if you're stuck on what to do next, you let
- 7:11Speaker 1: me tell you what's happening. You're not doing enough. That's
- 7:14Speaker 1: what it is. Man. See what I get in a
- 7:17Speaker 1: place man, where I don't know what the next move is.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It's because I'd unusually stalled out. See, this is the
- 7:25Speaker 1: way God works. This is the way He's worked for me.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Every time I'm busy and I'm about the business of
- 7:31Speaker 1: always trying to live my creed, which is ABC. My
- 7:36Speaker 1: motto is ABC always be closing. I'm always working on something,
- 7:41Speaker 1: something to close something. When you're so busy with the
- 7:44Speaker 1: business of improving yourself and doing with yourself and becoming
- 7:48Speaker 1: the best you you can be, God is always working
- 7:52Speaker 1: on your behalf behind some scene of something that you're
- 7:57Speaker 1: in the process of tempting to close. But because you're
- 8:01Speaker 1: not doing all you can do, you're limiting you. You
- 8:05Speaker 1: are because if your decision not to give you all
- 8:07Speaker 1: in all, you're limiting the opportunities for God to put
- 8:11Speaker 1: his finger on things and touch them on your behalf.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I don't know if the average person really understands or
- 8:19Speaker 1: knows what it takes to truly be successful on whatever
- 8:23Speaker 1: level you're talking about. But whatever that level is, I
- 8:27Speaker 1: don't care what a dollar amount you've got attached to it,
- 8:29Speaker 1: what level you've got if you have made the decision
- 8:32Speaker 1: that you're going to be successful. I think that a
- 8:35Speaker 1: lot of people, the average person does not know what
- 8:37Speaker 1: that means. Whatever level you've decided to be successful on. See,
- 8:42Speaker 1: that's your level of faith, that's where you see your
- 8:44Speaker 1: life at. Well, guess what you got to maximize your
- 8:49Speaker 1: efforts to even get to that level. So listen to me.
- 8:53Speaker 1: If you want to be successful at your church, if
- 8:56Speaker 1: you want to be successful in your relationship, if you
- 8:58Speaker 1: want to be successful down at the day, listen, if
- 9:00Speaker 1: you want to be successful at your college, if you
- 9:03Speaker 1: want to be successful on your job, guess what it's
- 9:06Speaker 1: gonna take all you got in that world to become
- 9:11Speaker 1: a success. I don't know why people think that if
- 9:14Speaker 1: you don't want to be what somebody else said, you
- 9:17Speaker 1: ain't got to put forth that effort, Nana, I ain't wrong.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You've got to put forth your maximum effort at whatever
- 9:23Speaker 1: role you're trying to accomplish. Lord, have mercy. Man. How
- 9:27Speaker 1: about today, though, y'all, how about today today as a
- 9:30Speaker 1: good one. Let's make today today. Let's get out of that.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Let's get on with it. Stop hesitating, stop delaying, stop procrastinating,
- 9:38Speaker 1: start today. Watch God have something to put his finger
- 9:43Speaker 1: on there. And that's all you're trying to do. Man,
- 9:45Speaker 1: to line yourself up with God's grace, you got to
- 9:48Speaker 1: put out a lot of effort so God can put
- 9:51Speaker 1: his finger on something. You feel me today, I shall
- 9:53Speaker 1: hope you do, because I'm on one today. Let's go.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, Let's get at it. This
- 10:04Speaker 1: is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. The tunes is up.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I've already done it. I expressed my gratitude to my
- 10:13Speaker 1: heavily Father. It immediately changed my attitude about the morning
- 10:18Speaker 1: I was having. So now there's nothing left but the
- 10:22Speaker 1: third two. I expect to soar today, to glide today,
- 10:28Speaker 1: to reach new heights today. My altitude is guaranteed because
- 10:33Speaker 1: I started with my gratitude, which affected my attitude, which
- 10:38Speaker 1: is now in direct correlation with my altitude. Man, thank
- 10:42Speaker 1: you Lord for that. I do appreciate it. This show

- 19:28Speaker 1: you're gonna tell me whatever kids there told me about.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I tell you one, they ain't moving out my house today.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I'm telling you that right now. Ain't gonna be no

- 19:37Speaker 1: to tay? I'm gonna tell you to hear what tids
- 19:39Speaker 1: there told me to tell you. Tear them told me
- 19:41Speaker 1: to tell you that this is neph You tied me
- 19:44Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvy Morning showed Troy your wife, and
- 19:48Speaker 1: tids there got me the brank phone, call you this
- 19:52Speaker 1: one book, this some this some book, and then I
- 20:03Speaker 1: put my pains on boos. I'm waiting. I'm sitting right
- 20:08Speaker 1: here in my living room looking at the You all
- 20:12Speaker 1: to pull it up because I sho gonna tear five
- 20:14Speaker 1: from your man. I can't go back to sweep now.
- 20:19Speaker 1: You don't got me fired up? Hey, s I gotta
- 20:21Speaker 1: ask you for our go man. What is the baddest
- 20:23Speaker 1: and I'm talking about the baddest radio show in the lane,
- 20:27Speaker 1: Steve Harvest Morning Show. Ain't bad nah, I'm go ahead.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Coming up next to this, ask the CLLO with the
- 20:37Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building, ready for
- 20:40Speaker 1: your love questions. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 20:43Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of
- 20:47Speaker 1: the hour and Entertainment News. Juneteenth, a global celebration of
- 20:51Speaker 1: freedom at the Hollywood Bowl was star studded. We'll talk
- 20:56Speaker 1: about that and then other entertainment news, Martin Lawrence is
- 20:59Speaker 1: getting it to her on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,
- 21:01Speaker 1: and Carla has some music news about Drake's new album.
- 21:04Speaker 1: We'll talk about all of these stories at the top
- 21:06Speaker 1: of the hour, but right now it is time to
- 21:10Speaker 1: ask the CLO Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey, Ready for you.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Gilanni in Tennessee writes, I'm a single mother of Gilanni.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I'm a single mother of a fourteen year old that
- 21:24Speaker 1: wants to dye her hair blonde and put blue streaks
- 21:27Speaker 1: in it. I can't control what other parents do, but
- 21:31Speaker 1: I don't want my daughter looking like she's in a
- 21:34Speaker 1: rock band. How do I tell her that without her
- 21:37Speaker 1: wanting to rebel? Oh, you're not dying your hair? See
- 21:41Speaker 1: what happened to that? Simple as that? What happened to that?
- 21:45Speaker 1: At fourteen? Don't pay rent, ain't got money for dad?
- 21:49Speaker 1: What happened to that? Got to use my sink to dad?
- 21:53Speaker 1: You have? Well? What happened to that? I'm just you're
- 21:55Speaker 1: not dying your damn hair. They're going there and mils,
- 22:00Speaker 1: sorry dad at ass? Thank you a blue and blond ass?
- 22:07Speaker 1: Don't parents? Come on all right? Christy and Arlington Virginia.
- 22:18Speaker 1: He says, I'm a thirty five year old married woman
- 22:20Speaker 1: and I went on a girls trip with women who
- 22:22Speaker 1: are unhappily married. They were on the trip looking for
- 22:25Speaker 1: an experience with other men. At the hotel, I realized
- 22:30Speaker 1: I have nothing in common with my three girlfriends. Do
- 22:33Speaker 1: I cut them off? Or do I keep them and
- 22:36Speaker 1: avoid future girls trips? Well, you know, look, nobody's perfect.
- 22:41Speaker 1: If you want some perfect friends, you're not gonna have none.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Just avoid the girls trips. You don't do what they do.
- 22:48Speaker 1: They are unhappy. It's a lot of unhappy people in
- 22:51Speaker 1: marriage is out there and they're gonna seek things outside
- 22:54Speaker 1: of marriage. If that's what they're doing, let them go ahead.
- 22:57Speaker 1: But that ain't you, you know, disassociate yourself from that
- 23:00Speaker 1: part of it. But if you keep hanging with them,
- 23:03Speaker 1: association brains on participation and so like. That's why I
- 23:09Speaker 1: have learned a none of my friends single. No, so
- 23:17Speaker 1: all my friends is married, most of them got grandkids. Okay,
- 23:24Speaker 1: I mean my friends because I've just figured it out.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I just let me hang with these dudes and do
- 23:30Speaker 1: what I do. That way, ain't nobody bringing no extra
- 23:33Speaker 1: into the crowd. No, trouble. You know, nobody in our
- 23:37Speaker 1: group does harrowing, so that for haling is not an option.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Do you see what I'm saying? Just trying to help
- 23:44Speaker 1: you understand the degree of different that. That's the example.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I'm usual. I need your undivided attention, but we got
- 23:53Speaker 1: it when you first said it, all right. Moving on
- 23:56Speaker 1: to Constance in Florida. Constance says it recently starts working
- 24:00Speaker 1: from home and my husband works from home too. The
- 24:03Speaker 1: other day, while I was on a video call, I
- 24:05Speaker 1: forgot to turn my mic off and my co workers
- 24:08Speaker 1: heard my husband ask me for a very explicit sexual baby.
- 24:13Speaker 1: My boss and my co workers are cool, but I
- 24:16Speaker 1: was mortified. How do I recover from it? Hey? Baby,
- 24:22Speaker 1: Hey baby, you off that zoom? Come on in hill
- 24:32Speaker 1: something to me. You know, let's match it up, you know,
- 24:37Speaker 1: tit for tat. You know what I did you last night?
- 24:42Speaker 1: You can't. You can't even You're so nervous. You can't
- 24:44Speaker 1: find your mute button. Rocket. Yeah, every baby, hammertime, baby
- 24:58Speaker 1: baby time doing a little squash buckling coworking and your boss,
- 25:08Speaker 1: you know, time to get on some of these pides
- 25:11Speaker 1: of the Caribbean. You know what I'm saying, Hey, okay,
- 25:17Speaker 1: I think we got it. So why does she recover
- 25:20Speaker 1: from it? That's she's as bad. They didn't say let
- 25:23Speaker 1: it die out. Yeah, just let it die out. Yeah,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but you don't definitely don't bring it up because they
- 25:30Speaker 1: may not have heard it, because the average person don't
- 25:32Speaker 1: be ready for stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 25:38Speaker 1: He ain't say yeah. Sounds like he just like that
- 25:41Speaker 1: they're doing it like that. Thought is she gonna always
- 25:45Speaker 1: be a member? Remember that time at working? Wow? All right,
- 25:52Speaker 1: moving gone to this is our last one. Steve Terry
- 25:55Speaker 1: in the Bay Area says, I think my husband may
- 25:58Speaker 1: be cheating on me because he it's his car washed
- 26:01Speaker 1: every week, and he started taking a shower at night
- 26:03Speaker 1: and in the morning and wearing clean boxes to work
- 26:08Speaker 1: daily when he used to wear them almost two full
- 26:11Speaker 1: days before he changed. He changed his cloan too, He
- 26:16Speaker 1: changed his clan. What's up with him? There's nothing up
- 26:21Speaker 1: with him. Most like a clean car, said nothing that cheats.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Do most men like a clean car. Most men. If
- 26:31Speaker 1: you're gonna wear a clean car, he liked clean draws.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Come on, you know, he just started changing and he
- 26:37Speaker 1: and he just started showering at night. And in the morning.
- 26:41Speaker 1: What what? What? Where? Where is cheating that? In this
- 26:44Speaker 1: it's hot? But you know when when when they change
- 26:47Speaker 1: like that, when they change their behavior, that it's not
- 26:51Speaker 1: always changing something. Oh ladies, something he's changing. He's growing up.
- 26:56Speaker 1: He's maturing. Somebody saying something to men work. Damn you
- 27:00Speaker 1: stak somebody because you're cheating. Somebody sitting down a man.
- 27:07Speaker 1: You smell Harold yesterday And Harold was standing right there
- 27:12Speaker 1: talking about me. See it could be anything. Where you
- 27:17Speaker 1: got cheating from. He ain't missing from home. The money
- 27:22Speaker 1: you ain't missing. No money at the house. You ain't found,
- 27:24Speaker 1: no explicit text, He ain't off to the side talking
- 27:28Speaker 1: on the phone. He clean he's cleaner now, So why
- 27:32Speaker 1: didn't he turn that into the cheetah? He changed his cologne.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I told you, somebody down there, said Harold stank. I
- 27:41Speaker 1: thought you man, because he didn't change his underwear. Well,
- 27:45Speaker 1: how I trying to figure out everything now? Is you
- 27:47Speaker 1: draws this cologne? He changed his whole site, taking two
- 27:54Speaker 1: showers night and day. It's hot. Why is he cheating? Though?
- 27:58Speaker 1: Where's cheating it? When a man changes his behavior like that,
- 28:03Speaker 1: that's what a lot of women think. He must be
- 28:05Speaker 1: changed and doing all this for another woman. That's what
- 28:07Speaker 1: how women think. Yeah, let's just celebrate the fact he's
- 28:12Speaker 1: shoping and under right there he used to wear for
- 28:19Speaker 1: two full day. Why jaws ain't even that explicit? The
- 28:25Speaker 1: rest of you working and you gotta washing machine man. Yeah, wow, goodness.
- 28:35Speaker 1: All right, so you're saying it doesn't he's growing up,
- 28:38Speaker 1: he's maturing. He's not. Why she does? Does she want
- 28:43Speaker 1: a problem? Okay, all right, Celo, Chief Love Officer, thank you.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 28:52Speaker 1: some entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening
- 28:57Speaker 1: show Steve Earthwinden, Fire, Shaka Khan, Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton,
- 29:05Speaker 1: Mary Mary, the Roots, Belle Bib, Devo, Neo, Yelanda Adams,
- 29:11Speaker 1: Mickey Guidon, and Moore performed at the Juneteenth, a Global
- 29:15Speaker 1: Celebration of Freedom at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles
- 29:19Speaker 1: over the weekend. Shout out to the event's musical director,
- 29:22Speaker 1: of course Love. President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris
- 29:27Speaker 1: also appeared in a recorded message celebrating the holiday, as
- 29:30Speaker 1: did former First Lady Michelle Obama, who called on people
- 29:34Speaker 1: to vote so It was a huge celebration for Juneteenth.
- 29:37Speaker 1: You know, people are getting into it now. You know,
- 29:40Speaker 1: we have this holiday, let's celebrate it, let you know
- 29:42Speaker 1: about what's going on. And it was just really something
- 29:46Speaker 1: to see. Just a huge celebration and thoughtful messages as well.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Jill Scott gave a powerful poem. Yeah I'm not reading
- 29:55Speaker 1: reading yeah, yeah, I'm not used to it yet. I
- 29:58Speaker 1: haven't quite locked in on the chat. So it kind
- 30:00Speaker 1: of crept up on me and I didn't realize it
- 30:03Speaker 1: was here because it was right at Father's Day weekend
- 30:05Speaker 1: and it was my mentoring camp, so it kind of
- 30:08Speaker 1: just crept up on me. I didn't even know what
- 30:10Speaker 1: it was, you know, mist this year, be honest with you,
- 30:13Speaker 1: I just had a lot, you know, Father's Day and
- 30:16Speaker 1: stuff like that, great celebration. I've been doing God's work,
- 30:22Speaker 1: helping young men. Mentoring campus is all part of it.
- 30:25Speaker 1: It's all good. Yeah. Yeah. Well. In other entertainment news,
- 30:31Speaker 1: we have to say congratulations going out to Martin Lawrence,
- 30:35Speaker 1: Charlie Wilson, Ludicrous, Lenny Kravitz, Sheila E and Melbourne Moore.
- 30:40Speaker 1: They will all be receiving a star on the Hollywood
- 30:43Speaker 1: Walk of Fame next year. No date has been set
- 30:46Speaker 1: yet for the ceremony, so congratulations early though. And speaking
- 30:50Speaker 1: of Martin, he recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel and jokingly
- 30:54Speaker 1: said that if his daughter Jasmine Lawrence tied the knot
- 30:57Speaker 1: with Eddie Murphy's son Eric Murphy, that he's sending the
- 31:01Speaker 1: wedding bill to Eddie. You know, they've been for a minute.
- 31:09Speaker 1: The two have been dating for a while. But Martin
- 31:11Speaker 1: said um that he and Eddie stay out of their kids' business.
- 31:16Speaker 1: That that's really really cool. Yeah. Yeah, but it's hard
- 31:22Speaker 1: to say that Martin Lawrence doesn't have a star from Martin. Yeah,
- 31:29Speaker 1: I think he's I don't know, I think he's seems
- 31:32Speaker 1: like he's just being recognized almost for for that groundbreaking
- 31:36Speaker 1: show you know and everything, and we love it so much.
- 31:40Speaker 1: But it seems like people are still discovering Martin, you know,
- 31:44Speaker 1: the show and all the I mean, he broke so
- 31:47Speaker 1: many records and just did so much you know, movies, yeah, movies,
- 31:52Speaker 1: and yeah, Steve, he got classics. It's nothing wrong. I mean,
- 32:00Speaker 1: it's it's everybody gets it in the in the due time,
- 32:03Speaker 1: in due time, you know, everybody gets it. In the
- 32:06Speaker 1: due time. You know, some people have people pushing forward
- 32:09Speaker 1: a little bit harder than others. Of course, I think
- 32:13Speaker 1: he's definitely worthy of one by long shot, by long
- 32:18Speaker 1: shot major stars. So yeah, but you know, it happens
- 32:22Speaker 1: in due time. It just depends on who's pushing for
- 32:26Speaker 1: you know, some people push harder than others. I mean,
- 32:29Speaker 1: and it's not you that can get it done. There's
- 32:32Speaker 1: got to be a committee of people that go to
- 32:34Speaker 1: the committee and then they start their research and see
- 32:36Speaker 1: who you are and everybody you know. M On his reunion,
- 32:42Speaker 1: Snoop said he really owed Martin a debt of gratitude
- 32:46Speaker 1: because he put him out there on The Martin Show
- 32:49Speaker 1: and then Joe to see Junior, you know, and they
- 32:54Speaker 1: were on the Martin Show and Martin came in and
- 32:57Speaker 1: was singing with Jody. See like he said, he didn't
- 33:01Speaker 1: even tell them. They didn't even know that he was
- 33:04Speaker 1: gonna do that. Joe remember that. Yes, he said, they
- 33:14Speaker 1: didn't even know that. But anyway, singing of musical people, Carlor,
- 33:19Speaker 1: you're here with today's musical news. What you got, Well,
- 33:22Speaker 1: let me tell y'all. You know, Drake dropped an album
- 33:27Speaker 1: over the weekend and people are hating it. It was
- 33:30Speaker 1: just seventh solo album. It's called honestly never Mind, and
- 33:36Speaker 1: some people are really really hating it is getting a
- 33:39Speaker 1: lot of mixed reviews. It's a different sound for Drake,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and I listened to a few tracks on it. It
- 33:46Speaker 1: has this club house music sound to it, so I
- 33:51Speaker 1: like it though. I like that kind of sound. Do
- 33:53Speaker 1: you know what it reminds me of? You know how
- 33:54Speaker 1: one week you go to like a hotel and we
- 33:57Speaker 1: hear that music playing in the background, especially like we're
- 34:00Speaker 1: over in France. It's just a different house sound. But
- 34:03Speaker 1: it's cool, Like I enjoyed it, Drake. He did address
- 34:07Speaker 1: the negative response. He said, it's all good if you
- 34:09Speaker 1: don't get it yet. Talking to this fans, this is
- 34:12Speaker 1: what we do. Well, wait for you to catch up.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Yeah we didn't hit though, we didn't. We caught it already. Yeah. Yeah.
- 34:27Speaker 1: I think people don't like change, yea. And once you
- 34:31Speaker 1: get creative and innovative, and it takes a lot of
- 34:36Speaker 1: people because they just like what they like, you know,
- 34:38Speaker 1: they want to trust what they've been trusted. So I
- 34:41Speaker 1: haven't heard it. I ain't heard number six five for
- 34:45Speaker 1: a Yeah, Drake but clearly Drake don't need me at
- 34:53Speaker 1: all to know who he is, Nor could Drake give
- 34:56Speaker 1: a damn about me in my opinion of his needs.
- 35:00Speaker 1: I just like him as a person. Yeah, I don't really,
- 35:04Speaker 1: you know, we don't need to do no more. Day
- 35:08Speaker 1: remixes the nerves winging five. So I tell you who
- 35:17Speaker 1: I do know, Champagne Poppy. Though I love low response,
- 35:24Speaker 1: though I love his response to it, I love his
- 35:26Speaker 1: flap back. All right, coming up in twenty minutes after
- 35:29Speaker 1: the hour, Thank you, Carla. Today's primary election day, and
- 35:32Speaker 1: herschel Walker is now publicly discussing his other three children.
- 35:37Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 35:44Speaker 1: morning show. Well, there's a lot at stake with midterms
- 35:55Speaker 1: this November, as you already know, attention voters. To day,
- 36:00Speaker 1: there are primaries in Virginia, the district of Columbia, and
- 36:04Speaker 1: runoff elections in Alabama and in Georgia. Now, speaking of Georgia, Republicans,
- 36:10Speaker 1: Senate candidate herschel Walker recently said that he has never
- 36:14Speaker 1: denied any of his children. But if you recall, Walker
- 36:19Speaker 1: said he was the father to only one child, and
- 36:22Speaker 1: then he complained about children being raised in fatherless homes
- 36:25Speaker 1: in the black community, but recently he admitted to having
- 36:30Speaker 1: three secret children and said he has never denied the
- 36:33Speaker 1: existence of his four children. That sounds like a contradiction. Yeah,
- 36:41Speaker 1: so he's never denied the existence of his four children,
- 36:44Speaker 1: three of whom he has never never publicly discussed until now.
- 36:48Speaker 1: N So, he has four children, but he only claimed one.
- 36:56Speaker 1: We're here with a new Republican senator candidate, Hersh Walker.
- 37:00Speaker 1: We're on the seat here, mister Walker. There's been all
- 37:04Speaker 1: things have been come to light. Now is it true
- 37:08Speaker 1: you've only claimed one child? But it turns out there's
- 37:11Speaker 1: three others, sir. Or they tried. They tried to a cubball.
- 37:17Speaker 1: The cubball, they tried to each other. These other three
- 37:24Speaker 1: chillings now they nothing. They always be part. They might
- 37:27Speaker 1: be part of my little I don't know, mister Walker.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Litter sure they might be. Now they might be parts
- 37:37Speaker 1: of my little But nothing gonna blaify this. Now you're
- 37:42Speaker 1: chilling him. You're chilling him. Ain't saying nothing. All these
- 37:45Speaker 1: here year, they ain't hit nothing. They're gonna wait. I'm
- 37:48Speaker 1: up here here running for something, you know what I mean,
- 37:50Speaker 1: here trying to be the bills how I can be,
- 37:52Speaker 1: and they're gonna show up and try to try to
- 37:55Speaker 1: try to show let them take something. Mister Walker, this
- 37:59Speaker 1: is not I can tell you right now, sir, this
- 38:02Speaker 1: is not acceptable behavior coming from a man running from
- 38:05Speaker 1: the Senate. Do you understand the outcry that's coming from
- 38:08Speaker 1: even the African American community. Let me tell yourself, oak
- 38:13Speaker 1: tree ain't got nothing to do with the pantry you
- 38:17Speaker 1: talking about. No, we don't. Oak Tree ain't got nothing
- 38:21Speaker 1: to do the panetree. But the pantry won't say something
- 38:24Speaker 1: when oak Tree say something? You are you kidding me? Sir?
- 38:31Speaker 1: Can you tell us other children's names? Samuel, sam Samuel
- 38:37Speaker 1: at that board there, and you got a pope, see
- 38:40Speaker 1: the pope see that. That's what child? But but but
- 38:47Speaker 1: what when it comes down to it, the third Roe
- 38:50Speaker 1: they raised itself and they do the good at raising
- 38:53Speaker 1: the seal. And sometime you got a little old tell
- 38:55Speaker 1: you a little God's kidding me? Shriek check you we
- 38:58Speaker 1: got that. We'll be back right after this. But a
- 39:02Speaker 1: concrete asphalt, it don't make no difference. You're listening, all right,
- 39:11Speaker 1: so Steve. This past Father's Day weekend was the annual
- 39:15Speaker 1: of course, Steven Mark Marjorie Harvey Foundation mentoring camp for
- 39:19Speaker 1: young men. And this was the first in person camp
- 39:22Speaker 1: that you've had in about three years, right because because
- 39:25Speaker 1: of the pandemic, you've been having them virtually. They've been well.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Now COVID. COVID took it out, so we're back. We
- 39:31Speaker 1: had a great weekend. Uh. Uh, two hundred some boys
- 39:36Speaker 1: were there. Wow. Um, we had COVID testing. It was
- 39:41Speaker 1: all good. We didn't have any outbreaks, were very successful.
- 39:45Speaker 1: The boys were amazing. Uh. You know, it's a lot
- 39:49Speaker 1: of problems in our community, but uh, you know, we
- 39:52Speaker 1: have counselors there, we have doctors there, we have everybody
- 39:55Speaker 1: there to handle whatever comes up. But for the most part, man,
- 39:58Speaker 1: it was a really, really success a weekend. I got
- 40:01Speaker 1: home on Father's Day about four o'clock in the evening,
- 40:04Speaker 1: you know, so I could have some type of celebration
- 40:06Speaker 1: as a father myself, But the work that I do
- 40:10Speaker 1: in my mentoring camp program, and the reason that we
- 40:12Speaker 1: have it that and the graduation is on Father's Day,
- 40:16Speaker 1: is so that these young men get to be around
- 40:19Speaker 1: men who love them and been loving on them for
- 40:22Speaker 1: four days and been having some requirements of them for
- 40:26Speaker 1: four days, and so the culmination of it is on
- 40:30Speaker 1: Father's Day, so that on this Father's Day don't have
- 40:33Speaker 1: to just sit there and think that they don't have
- 40:35Speaker 1: a father, that they're in a program filled with men
- 40:38Speaker 1: who've been pouring into them for four days. They all
- 40:42Speaker 1: have access to a mentor when they leave the camp.
- 40:46Speaker 1: So when they leave the camp, they have a phone
- 40:48Speaker 1: number of a mentor, a mentor, junior counselor, or one
- 40:53Speaker 1: of the soldiers who are gonna be able to answer
- 40:56Speaker 1: question for them and help guide them through manhood. So
- 40:59Speaker 1: really really successful program this week. Man, we're back. We're
- 41:03Speaker 1: back in action. Next year the program will be held
- 41:06Speaker 1: at the newly acquired UH Legacy Ranch. We're working very
- 41:11Speaker 1: hard with that. I'm looking forward some assistance though with
- 41:15Speaker 1: the Legacy Ranch to get it built out on time.
- 41:19Speaker 1: I'm in meetings with Loads about it, Coca Cola about it.
- 41:23Speaker 1: I'm in meetings with NBA Cares about it. I'm in
- 41:27Speaker 1: meetings with Microsoft. I'm in meetings with Morgan Stanley about it.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I'm in meetings with having a meeting set up with
- 41:35Speaker 1: the Michael Jordan Foundation, Robert Smith, Tyler Perry, I'm just
- 41:41Speaker 1: trying to get some help. You know, I'll be having
- 41:44Speaker 1: these meetings now. But you know, and I think, man,
- 41:48Speaker 1: we have enough responsible and willing to do me and
- 41:53Speaker 1: in our community that do so many things. Michael Jordan's
- 41:57Speaker 1: Foundation does an amazing amount of work, Tyler Perry does
- 42:01Speaker 1: an amazing amount of philanthropic work, and Robert Smith's camp
- 42:05Speaker 1: out in Colorado when horses involved in all this for
- 42:09Speaker 1: special needs children and all of that. He has a
- 42:12Speaker 1: lot of these men are doing some great work. So
- 42:15Speaker 1: by no means am I calling anybody out, but I
- 42:19Speaker 1: am going to have to call on some people because
- 42:21Speaker 1: I don't have enough to get it done myself. I
- 42:24Speaker 1: know what it's gonna really cause to build this place out,
- 42:27Speaker 1: and I don't have enough. Now. If I do it myself,
- 42:30Speaker 1: it'll take me longer and I'll eventually get it done.
- 42:32Speaker 1: But I know that there are people out there in
- 42:35Speaker 1: corporate a miracle who works for corporations, who have dollars
- 42:40Speaker 1: earmarked for people who are trying to change lives and
- 42:43Speaker 1: change minds in our community, and we just got to
- 42:47Speaker 1: take advantage of it and get this done great. I mean,
- 42:53Speaker 1: the work that you're doing is phenomenal, Steve, And I
- 42:56Speaker 1: just got to ask you, because you always do any
- 42:59Speaker 1: stories you want to show anything, you know, I had
- 43:02Speaker 1: a all, you know, let's see, can't I have to
- 43:08Speaker 1: filter these stories a little bit. I can't just tell
- 43:11Speaker 1: him as he is. I had some funny stuff was
- 43:13Speaker 1: happening out there, and then there's just some boys being
- 43:16Speaker 1: boys stuff. Whenever you put a couple of hundred boys together,
- 43:20Speaker 1: that testosterone is real, and they got and they got
- 43:23Speaker 1: to get the pecking order in line. Who's the alpha male?
- 43:26Speaker 1: And you know that's got to get figured out. And
- 43:29Speaker 1: when one dude try to be out for mail and
- 43:32Speaker 1: another one thing, he iss got to be some okay,
- 43:35Speaker 1: some solving the problems. So now I ain't got no
- 43:38Speaker 1: stories I can tell on radios. Plenty of stories, Yeah,
- 43:43Speaker 1: plenty of stories. I just figure out which one I
- 43:45Speaker 1: can tell without somebody that's appalling. Well, Steve, Congratulations for
- 43:50Speaker 1: the fine work that you do with your mentoring camp
- 43:53Speaker 1: every year. We certainly said, especially those of us who
- 43:57Speaker 1: have daughters. You know, uh, coming up next, the nephew
- 44:00Speaker 1: is here with today's praying phone call. Right after this
- 44:04Speaker 1: you're listening show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Right about four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for
- 44:13Speaker 1: today and the subject is why can't he cut her loose?
- 44:17Speaker 1: We'll find out why um in just a few but
- 44:21Speaker 1: right now it is time for the nephew and today's
- 44:24Speaker 1: praying phone call. What you got for us? Nev Are you?
- 44:28Speaker 1: What are you? What are you crying for? My mama?
- 44:32Speaker 1: He's crying my mom my mama tree, about mother's tree.
- 44:43Speaker 1: My mama made my mama tree, my mama tree. So
- 44:49Speaker 1: method with his acting. That's that tree. That's that tree.
- 44:56Speaker 1: We play. I gonna Seco five twenty about thirty thirty
- 45:03Speaker 1: body part about fifty Ready out o here, that's my mama.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Thank God. Down Hello, man, I speak to Lord. Yea Lord,
- 45:21Speaker 1: this terror who just terry. I'm about ten minutes from
- 45:25Speaker 1: the yard picked dog. This ain't no tear. Look man,
- 45:28Speaker 1: it's this lord that worked for Yes, sir. Listen, you
- 45:32Speaker 1: just came down Clayton Street and hit and tow all
- 45:35Speaker 1: the limbs off my mama maple tree that's hanging over
- 45:37Speaker 1: the street. And now she got limbs hanging all in
- 45:39Speaker 1: the street. We got to cut this whole tree down
- 45:41Speaker 1: because you didn't messed it up, and you were the
- 45:43Speaker 1: one that just drove through here. Sir, I ain't been
- 45:46Speaker 1: down Clayton Street today, Sir, say what. I ain't been
- 45:49Speaker 1: down Clayton Street today. I ain't ever been in a
- 45:51Speaker 1: residential neighborhood today. You just came down Clayton Street a
- 45:55Speaker 1: couple of hours ago and then tow all the limbs
- 45:57Speaker 1: off my mama tree, My mama, that tree and I
- 46:00Speaker 1: founded twenty five years and then you just came down
- 46:03Speaker 1: the street and just tore it all apart. Sir, I
- 46:05Speaker 1: ain't been down Clayton Road today. And how did you
- 46:07Speaker 1: get this number? By the way, don't worry about how
- 46:09Speaker 1: I got your number. Somebody got to pay for my
- 46:11Speaker 1: mama treat. So I ain't been down Clayton Road today.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry, call it call him back down? Hello lord?
- 46:18Speaker 1: Did you just hang up on me? Yes, sir, I
- 46:21Speaker 1: told you I didn't been down on the clay Road today.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Now now what, Look, I told you you just came

- 46:32Speaker 1: calling my phone. Look, my grandmama planet that treat. Now,
- 46:37Speaker 1: you didn't gonna do it. Planet it move to my
- 46:39Speaker 1: ben cut the branches out to some of the if
- 46:42Speaker 1: them branches. It's clear enough you're not supposed to be
- 46:44Speaker 1: driving them at wheel trucks down this residential area like
- 46:47Speaker 1: this here. Man, I was making delivery. Guy. Now, if
- 46:50Speaker 1: I had to come down that tree, I would have.
- 46:52Speaker 1: But I told you once I ain't came down on
- 46:55Speaker 1: Clayton's Treat to day you just said you had to
- 46:57Speaker 1: make a delivery. Now you're saying you ain't been down Clayton's.
- 47:00Speaker 1: I said, if I hadn't make liver down there, I
- 47:02Speaker 1: would have came down that tree. You can't have to
- 47:04Speaker 1: come down now you've been on Clayton Street today. Now
- 47:07Speaker 1: that part I do know. And what you got the
- 47:09Speaker 1: wrong Robert dude, No no, no, no, no, no no,
- 47:12Speaker 1: I got the right driver. And what I do No, Ill,

- 47:21Speaker 1: mud treat that tree. And kidding, I know you ain't
- 47:24Speaker 1: talking about my mama tree. Well guess what, take your
- 47:28Speaker 1: tree and take your mom and both of y'all go

- 48:17Speaker 1: not dog and tripping dog. You are ready. Look, man,
- 48:21Speaker 1: I grew up with this tree in my front yard.
- 48:24Speaker 1: I grew up with this tree. Now you got the
- 48:26Speaker 1: nerve to drive to hell and driving too fast, because
- 48:28Speaker 1: if you're the droll slow. You wouldn't have been hitting
- 48:31Speaker 1: all them lives like that. Y'all be running down here
- 48:33Speaker 1: too fast to hill man. Look here, I've told you once, man,
- 48:36Speaker 1: I ain't been down on Clayton Street, not like I

- 48:42Speaker 1: we'll all right. Now. I'm sorry about your mom treep.
- 48:45Speaker 1: What hell. It ain't nothing I can do about it
- 48:47Speaker 1: because I ain't been down on Clayton Street. It's one
- 48:49Speaker 1: thing you can do about it. You can pay for it.
- 48:51Speaker 1: And that's what you're gonna do. Now. You're gonna either
- 48:53Speaker 1: give me some money. I'm gonna get it at you.
- 48:56Speaker 1: But you're you're gonna you're coming over here. Matter of fact,
- 48:58Speaker 1: you're gonna come over here him now that big truck
- 49:02Speaker 1: around and bring your butt on over here right now.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Well I might well don't turn it around, because I
- 49:07Speaker 1: ain't paying for no tree right now. That's fine, that's fine,
- 49:11Speaker 1: But I tell you, when you get here, my cousin

- 54:10Speaker 1: Draw up every letter thanking ap you subject, why can't
- 54:14Speaker 1: he cut her loose? Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a forty
- 54:18Speaker 1: eight year old single woman and I've raised a handsome
- 54:21Speaker 1: and productive young man with the help of my ex husband.
- 54:26Speaker 1: My ex husband was a very hands on dad, but
- 54:29Speaker 1: we did not see eye to eye in our marriage.
- 54:32Speaker 1: His father always spoiled him, but lately his dad has
- 54:35Speaker 1: been busy with the new woman, and now he's become
- 54:38Speaker 1: distant from our son. If I call his dad, it
- 54:41Speaker 1: takes him days to call me back. My son told
- 54:44Speaker 1: me who his dad is dating now, and she's nothing
- 54:47Speaker 1: but trouble. She's married to an older man and she's
- 54:51Speaker 1: got control of the money, but she lusts after other
- 54:54Speaker 1: men because she's not satisfied sexually. So now she's got
- 54:58Speaker 1: her claws and my ex and he can't think straight.
- 55:01Speaker 1: She has a bad reputation for messing around on her husband,
- 55:04Speaker 1: but these men don't seem to mind. I mind a
- 55:07Speaker 1: lot because my ex and I have a sexual relationship
- 55:12Speaker 1: and he's cut me off because of her. He and
- 55:15Speaker 1: I can go weeks without a word, but as soon
- 55:18Speaker 1: as we see each other, it's clothes off and we're
- 55:21Speaker 1: in the bed together. It is what it is, and
- 55:23Speaker 1: after twenty years, we still can't keep our hands off
- 55:26Speaker 1: each other. I know that he sees other women, but
- 55:29Speaker 1: I don't have time to date, so he meets my
- 55:32Speaker 1: sexual needs. What this woman has done has messed up
- 55:36Speaker 1: my good thing, and I want to know why he
- 55:39Speaker 1: can't cut her loose. I got him on the phone
- 55:41Speaker 1: recently and I told him I need a tune up,
- 55:44Speaker 1: and he told me he'd see what he could do.
- 55:48Speaker 1: If I told him that a month ago, he'd be
- 55:50Speaker 1: at my house or I'd be at his within an
- 55:53Speaker 1: hour or so. He's never put me off. So why
- 55:56Speaker 1: is he picking someone who's been passed around or something
- 56:00Speaker 1: he's been getting for twenty years over something he's been
- 56:03Speaker 1: getting for twenty years. Why can't he cut this woman
- 56:06Speaker 1: loose to that? I say, don't worry about him cutting
- 56:12Speaker 1: her loose, You cut him loose? What's wrong with you?
- 56:15Speaker 1: I mean, this is really a stupid letter here. I
- 56:18Speaker 1: thought this was going to be about your ex and
- 56:20Speaker 1: how he's no longer there for your son. You say,
- 56:24Speaker 1: you know, because that's the most important thing here, But
- 56:27Speaker 1: then the letter took a hard left and turns out
- 56:29Speaker 1: you're just mad because he's got a girlfriend and you
- 56:31Speaker 1: can't cutch up with him to have sex. What this
- 56:36Speaker 1: is not making any sense? I mean, you know it's
- 56:39Speaker 1: over if you can't give it away. You're really selling
- 56:42Speaker 1: yourself short here. Why are you so disrespectful to yourself?
- 56:47Speaker 1: Why are you settling for this? I mean you say
- 56:49Speaker 1: you don't have time to date. But you really don't
- 56:52Speaker 1: have time not to date. It's over. You have to
- 56:55Speaker 1: make time for you now. I mean, can't you say,
- 56:58Speaker 1: can't you see that he's not even thinking about you
- 57:00Speaker 1: at this point. He does not want you. Focus on
- 57:04Speaker 1: that so you can get the strength to get him
- 57:06Speaker 1: out of your system. I mean, you're playing yourself right now.
- 57:09Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what her reputation is. None of that.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Your husband doesn't care. Is what he likes right now.
- 57:15Speaker 1: You gotta get yourself together and move on. Steve, Well, well, well, well, well,
- 57:24Speaker 1: right down my alley. Let us like this, go right
- 57:32Speaker 1: down to the street that I stay on. I love
- 57:35Speaker 1: when women ask the question, why can't he cut her loose? Well,
- 57:42Speaker 1: I think we all know the answer to that. Let's
- 57:45Speaker 1: walk her down memory lane, down the movie lane. I
- 57:50Speaker 1: saw a photograph. It was such a happy pad. Oh
- 57:57Speaker 1: look at me down mem Red. Well, you're forty eight
- 58:05Speaker 1: year old single woman. You raised a handsome and productive
- 58:08Speaker 1: young man with the help of my ex hug. Now,
- 58:13Speaker 1: your ex husband was a very hands on dad. But
- 58:18Speaker 1: y'all didn't see eut the eye in the marriage. Things happened.
- 58:23Speaker 1: His father's always spoiled him. Probably true. But lately his
- 58:28Speaker 1: dad has been busy with the new woman, and now
- 58:31Speaker 1: he's become distant from our son. Now, let's look at
- 58:37Speaker 1: this moment in this letter. His dad has been busy
- 58:42Speaker 1: with the new woman, and now he's become distant from
- 58:45Speaker 1: our son. Now, as I read the rest of this letter,
- 58:48Speaker 1: I want you to notice that we never ever mentioned
- 58:51Speaker 1: the son. Again. That ain't nothing in this letter about
- 58:57Speaker 1: the distance between the ball and the dad. There's no
- 59:03Speaker 1: instances of where he don't pick up his son. No more.
- 59:07Speaker 1: This boy is a grown ass son. He don't need
- 59:11Speaker 1: to get picked up. Take nowhere. The boy can probably drive,
- 59:14Speaker 1: he's a productive young man. No more mentions of the
- 59:19Speaker 1: boy in this letter. So she tried to fool us
- 59:23Speaker 1: by blaming this on her husband's relationship with this new
- 59:27Speaker 1: woman's hurting the relationship with the son. If I call
- 59:30Speaker 1: his dad, it takes him. If I call his dad,
- 59:34Speaker 1: it takes him days to call me back. That ain't
- 59:39Speaker 1: got nothing to do with the son. Then my son
- 59:42Speaker 1: told me his dad is dating now, and he's and
- 59:46Speaker 1: he's dating now, and she's nothing but trouble. Wait a minute, all,
- 59:50Speaker 1: I bet you all the son told you was daddy dating.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Now you've added in here and she's nothing but trouble.
- 59:58Speaker 1: See so far he still daddy. Oh, this ain't about
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: the boy. It ain't gonna Steve. We'll have part two
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: of your response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: the hour. Today's strawberry letter, subject why can't he cut
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: her loose? We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter. The subject is why can't he cut
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: her loose? Well, see, lady, why can't he cut her loose?
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Is obvious. I'll tell you that in a little minute.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: But the real thing is you tried to make this
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: letter like you and your ex husband have raised his
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: really hands on, productive, handsome young man. And you know
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: he was such a hands on dad and now that
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: he's dating this woman, he didn't cut his son out
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: of his life. But then there ain't no evidence in
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: the letter that he didn't quitn't fool it with his son.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: You said his father has always spoiled him. But lady,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: his dad been visited with this new woman, and nine
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: has become distant from my son. If I call his dad,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: it takes him days to call me back. My ex
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: is never hear from me or I ain't no damn days,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: we're talking years, he email nothing, not a So I
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: don't what you're tripping for now. My son told me
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: that his date dad is dating. Now, well that means
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: the son is talking to his dad on levels that
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: you ain't because now the son had told you that
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: the dad is dating. And you say, but now she's
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: nothing but trouble. She's married to an older man, and
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: she's got control of the money, and she lusts after
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: other men because she's not satisfied sexual y'all, musn't live
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: in a small term. So now she's got her claws
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: in my ex and he can't thank straight. She got
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: a bad reputation for messing around on her husband, and
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: these men don't seem to mind. Why because now I
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: mind a lot because my X and I have a
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: sexual relationship and he's cut me off. Here's what the
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: wrong with the damn letter. Here is to why she
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: can't cut him off. It ain't got nothing to do
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: with your son now, and he's cutting me off because
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: of her. He and I can go weeks without a word,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: But as soon as we see each other, it's clothes off.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Wait a minute, lady, you need to
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: make up your mind. A minute ago you said I
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: called his dad and it takes some days to call
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: me back. Then then the letter say, he and I
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: can go weeks without a word, but as soon as
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: we see each other, this close off and we're in
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: the band together. It is what it is. After twenty years,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: we still can't keep our hands off each other. So
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: you mean he get to have his cake and eat
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: it too. He get to divorce you, not call you.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Ain't got to deal with none of the things in
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: the marriage. But then he can do you whenever he
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: wants to. Oh my god, this is amazing. And after
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: twenty years, we still can't keep our hands off each other.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I know that he sees other women really and can
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: still have you. Oh my god, this is great. Christ.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Do you know how many people are signed up for this?
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: But I don't have time to date, so he meets
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: my sexual needs. What this woman has done has messed
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: up my good thing, and I want to know why
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: he can't cut her loot. Let's answer this question right now.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: This woman has messed up your good thing. And I
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: want to know why he can't cut her loose because
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: she got a good thing. Whoa what? She has messed
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: up my good thing? And I want to know why
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: he can't cut her loose because she got a good
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: a thing. What hey, man listening to this, know what
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I'm talking about. She got a good thing. That's why
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I can't cut her lose. Now I know women that's
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: a little Now, that's like, oh my god, Steve, that's
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: what it is. Why he can't cut her loose. I'm
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: calling her and takes her left. I got him on
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: the phone recently and I told him I need to
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: tune up. And he told me he'll see what he
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: can do. Now you know what Ray said, he dating
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: other women, and now he'd have found goody two shoes
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: tune up. I don't need no tune up. Plus, after
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: twenty years, I can do you anytime I want to,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: So sit tight. You ain't got time to date. Sit tight,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: you know each of potato chips. Get you some Netflix,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: and I'll be over there when I get there. I
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: get to you when I get to you. If I
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: told him that a month ago, he'd be in my
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: house or I'd be at his within an hour or so.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: He's never putting me off. So why is he picking
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: someone who's been passed around over something he's been getting
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: for twenty years? You don't hear that sentence. Let me
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: translate it for you. See you said, so, why is
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: he picking someone who's been passed around over something he's
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: been getting for twenty years? Let me read what you
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: really wrote that you don't know yet? Come on, So
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: he never put me off, So now he's picking somebody
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: who is really good, fresh and new. May have been
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: passed around, but it's it just got passed to him
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: over something, same old thing he'd been getting for twenty
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: years anytime he wanted. Why can't he cut this woman loose?
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Because she has messed up your good thing with a
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: goodder thing. That's all. That's good. It's she's got a
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: goodder thing, all right, that's all to it. I'm sorry,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: all right, all right, Thank you. Steve. Post for comments

- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Because they the favorites already to beat. They could beat
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: the favorites, but they got some teams out there, man,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: that's strong. If Miami get one player, Miami gonna be wicked.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Boston gonna be back because they're strong. Man, Phoenix is
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: gonna be back. I wish I could say that for
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: Chris Paul. I really do, because I want Christ. Do
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: anybody see the Lakers if the Lakers are nah? No,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: until they solve that mystery. The Lakers have to figure
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: out how to incorporate Westbrook. He's too great a player, man,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: And they got to find out how to incorporate Westbrook
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: because he's a baller man and he was never able
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: to be the real Westbrook on that team. And Anthony
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Davis has to go somewhere doing the off season and
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: learn how to take care of his bat close street clothes.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: He just out there all the las, don't know how
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: uniform street cloth. He got all the latest jobbers out,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: all the best jeans you ever want to see, all
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: the nice shirts, everything. And you know, he made a
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: comment already said that since he'd been out the season
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: been over. He said he ain't picked the ball up
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: in two months. Sto, he picked the ball up in
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: two months. Man, If you don't go over there with
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Lebraun and get the training and bring them eyebrows down. Lord,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: we can cut that down. So what's wrong with his brows? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: the Uni brow got a Uni brows shirt. Go all
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: the way, cross you go all way? Sure, only bother
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: short people. Oh no, don't, don't make that demands problems.

- 1:09:48Speaker 1: twenty nine. Steve. All right, Steve, here we go. You ready. Yep.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: This caller is upset about mothers not letting their fathers
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: see their kids. Steve Harvey, Maybe the state chairs y'all
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: make the comments on all the fathers that are doing
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: positive things in their kid's life for a Father's Day,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: But what about the mothers that are keeping the fathers away?
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Come to kids that cannot be a positive role model.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: In their life. So you need to tell you a
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Sunday crowd, don't do that. You're telling us that we
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: are no good. We are about nothing that is wrong.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: That is absolutely wrong. You need to go back and
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: tell them to retract that statement, because they're awesome good
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: fathers out here, but the mothers would not less us.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: He had cast up our kid's life. Have a good day.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I understand, Hey, brother, I understand what you're saying. I
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: don't know what you're talking about. I don't know what
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: people I need to go and tell to retract that statement.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I agree with what you're saying one hundred percent, and
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I on this show have talked about it on numerous
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: occasions about how women got to stop using these children
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: as pawns and everything, and because a man can't pay
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: child supporting, that you won't let him see the sound
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: when the most important thing is not money. It's time.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: I've said that over and over. So I don't know
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: who you want me to call and check. I wasn't
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: clear about that somebody on Sunday. I don't know what that.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Yeah, I have no idea, but I
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: agree with no Steve. You're talking about maybe they're talking
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: about Father's Day. Actually, I don't know on Sunday, Yeah,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: on Sunday, this past Sunday. Yeah, but he sounds like
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: he's a brother going through here in the middle of

- 1:15:18Speaker 1: this whole detailed list of hundreds of expenses, including dates

- 1:15:30Speaker 1: remember all this stuff. He's got the nerve to ask

- 1:16:18Speaker 1: you rather? You guys were really interested in the story
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: we did before we went to break It's about this
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: guy in China who's asking his ex to reimburse him
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: for the money he spent on her while they were dating. Now,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: he compiled this whole list of you know, dates and
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: times and expenses that he shelled out and then it
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: went viral. This list went viral. People are shocked that
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: the guy could even remember this stuff and the fact
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: that he had the nerve to ask for the money back.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: The whole list everything came to about nine thousand dollars,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: and he's asked. It includes everything from two bottles of
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: water to the expenses that went along with caring for
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: his exit sick mom. So what do you guys think,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Ronda Jones? About you? A rope chain? A rope chain?
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I bought you a polo shirt back then. That was
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: a lot of money. That's okay about a polo shirt?
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: What else is about? Hey? Can I ask you a question? Yeah,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: go ahead, not to get in your business, but I'm
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: just going to assume you don't have to answer this
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: because you're married. Now, I'm assuming that at one point
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: you might have slept with Ronda. I'm just gonna go
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: out on I'm not I'm not accusing you of that,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: but I'm just saying, if there's a strong possibility that
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: you slept with Ronda. You better school him ahead. I'm
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: thinking that the reason you bought the rope chain, let's
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: talk about that you wanted to keep her nick in
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: a choke hold so you could continue to sleep with her.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: This is what I'm assumed, Junior. What have you bought
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: a girl? Let me help you understand. Let me tell
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: you right now. I have bought purses. Okay, I bought
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: a purse. J All right, yeah, I bought It's cool,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: it's what she's gonna about a purse. I have bought
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: some jewelry. Now, let's stop right here. You bought the
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: locket so every time she would move her wrists, she
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: would remember that you was the one that bought it,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: and that because y'all sleep together, it's the reason she
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: got it. You bought her the purse because you wanted
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: her to have a place to hold a condom in
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: case you forgotten. And that's what it what you brought
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: to PERSEPM. So let's stop all this. There's a call stack.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: It's called all returns. Rest my case, Yes, John as
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: jeans and some chick jeans, all right? Coming up? In
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour we'll close up the
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: show right after this. You're listening to show. All right,
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: here we are, guys, our last break of the day.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: We do want to remind everyone that today is election
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: day in Virginia and in DC U plus runoff elections
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: in Alabama and in Georgia. We want you to vote today.

- 1:19:52Speaker 1: all your voting information. All right, please vote. This is
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: an important year, important year in terms. We are not
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: asking y'all. Let's do it. You got a vote every election?
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: All right, Steve Um, You know what I thought about this.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you something. You do so much.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: You do so much in the world, so much for
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: other people. You work hard, you have a big family,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: all that. What actually makes you happy? What makes you happy?
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: You know that's a that's a tough one. Um. A
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: part of it is a part of my happiness is
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: inside of that that you mentioned in that I find
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: the joint commitment in doing for others. A lot of times, Uh,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: it's hurtful when it's not reciprocated, and it's hurtful one
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: is not taking advantage of. But when it is reciprocated
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: and taking advantage of It's a very rewarding feeling to
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: know that you're helping someone else. Um, what makes me happy, man.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: And if I can if I can get around some
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: true friends and sit around and just have some real
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: moments fishing with them, laughing with them, eating with them,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: those are the moments I cherish. Man. If I could
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: sit down with my girl, man and we just enjoying
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: each other's company, Man, without talking about the problems of
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: the world and the problems in the family and the
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: problems that's going on around them. Sometimes you gotta get
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: with your your soul mate, man, and just have some
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: soul moments. And you know, well a matter of fact,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: just have some mate moments, you know, and lead a
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: soul part out of it, because that leads into a
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: lot of things. Those are the things, you know, when
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: I'm just sitting down chilling, when I can see the
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: rewards of my label, when I'm able to enjoy them. Yeah,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: if I can sit down and see the rewards of
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: my labor and partake of them, which I don't do
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: enough of. I need to start doing more. But I
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: need Yeah, I have to start smelling the flowers a
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: lot more. Yeah, you know, Yeah, anybody else questions. Please, Yeah,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: since I ain't got mom on Walk of Fame star yet,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: And is it all right for me to just put
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: it in my driveway till I get it in Hollywood?
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I mean hot, I would Yeah, absolutely, yeah, Yeah, put
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: it in your driveway where we can ensure that no
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: one will see it. Yeah, that'd be great. And then
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: you can have that little glorious moment all to your
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: damn self. You ain't got to have a ceremony, You
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: ain't gotta wait to get voted in and nothing. Just
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: put it in your damn driveway, praising worship in its driveway. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: I got a question for you. Say, what is the
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: worst advice you've ever received? Oh? God, h worst advice
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I've ever see this. A guy told me one time.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: You ain't got to take that you can go down
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: there and tell them what's on your mind. That's the
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: worst advice ever. God, Because because Marjorie's father says this
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: all the time, just because you can do something, don't
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: mean you should. That's a much smarter advice than you
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: should go down there and tell them what's on your mind,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: because that's not always the smartest thing to do. And
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: what I had to learn was you know, the Lord
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: told me to go down here and straighten them people out.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: No he didn't. And you know, whenever you hear people
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: talking about the Lord told him to do something that
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: don't sound right, he is. All you have to do
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: is remember this one sentence that Bishop Kenneth Oldman taught me.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: God's voice has no sin in it. So if the
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: voice you're saying it was you listening to it has
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: some sin in it, that is not the Lord partner,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: don't blame him for that. And don't go down there
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: talking about the Lord sent me down here, because he didn't.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: And the worst advice I ever got, what's go down
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: there and tell him what's on your mind because it
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: doesn't matter, it don't matter. Did you do that? Oh yeah,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: oh yeah? And gave it to him full flow. Both
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: barrels cut the beautine light on on my back and everything.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: I blow torch their ass. And when I got through talking,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: they blow torch my ass. And when I loved a
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: body that I was completely on fire and it took
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: a while for me to get put out. And so
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: I learned, man, that just because you can do something
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: don't mean you should. That's right, And when people have
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: made up in their mind not to like you. For
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: people that for people that hate you, no explanation acceptable.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: For people who love you, no explanation necessary. That's right,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: that's right. If you're talking to somebody that has hell
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: been on not liking you, you finn't have a one
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: side of because don't matter what you say, they're gonna
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: find a way to twist it, make them. No. Yeah,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: those are the things man, that have kind of I've
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: learned in my life man, at sixty five, how to
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: protect myself. It's helped me a great deal because something
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: happened when I turned sixty five. I just decided it
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: don't matter what you say because what you say don't
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: matter because I don't even know you. So when you
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: get through talking about me, watch me and then you
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: can do about it. You have no say so in
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: my life. Hey, y'all, that's it today. My closing remark
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: is this talk to God today. He'd love to hear
