- 0:01Speaker 1: And now a few weeks after the strikes that you
- 0:04Speaker 1: ordered on the nuclear facilities in Iran, there is an
- 0:06Speaker 1: arranging official who says you President Trump have done something
- 0:09Speaker 1: that he can no longer sunbathe in mar A Lago.
- 0:13Speaker 1: As you lie there with your stomach to the sun,
- 0:15Speaker 1: a small drone might hit you in the navel. Do
- 0:18Speaker 1: you think that's a real threat? And when it's the
- 0:20Speaker 1: last time he went sunbathing anyway, I've.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Been a long time. It's been a long time. I
- 0:25Speaker 2: don't know, maybe I was around seven or so. Yeah,
- 0:29Speaker 2: I guess it, said thread.
- 0:30Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Good Saturday morning to you. Ben Ferguson with you, and
- 0:37Speaker 4: these are some of the stories that you may have
- 0:39Speaker 4: missed that we talked about this week on the forty
- 0:41Speaker 4: seven Morning Update. First up, new threats against Donald Trump's life,
- 0:46Speaker 4: this time coming directly out of Iran. And the second
- 0:49Speaker 4: part of that story is how many sleeper cells could
- 0:52Speaker 4: be active in the United States of America from Iran
- 0:55Speaker 4: as we speak. We'll have that as well. Not only that,
- 0:59Speaker 4: we also have a huge story that is going to
- 1:01Speaker 4: protect American farmland and also make sure that Chinese organizations
- 1:07Speaker 4: and those connect to the Chinese Companist Party aren't buying
- 1:10Speaker 4: up our farmland, especially close to our military basis. And finally,
- 1:15Speaker 4: the anti ice protests that have taken over in LA
- 1:18Speaker 4: taken over the Los Angeles Bridge, and the ACLU is
- 1:22Speaker 4: now filing a lawsuit. It's the forty seven Morning Update
- 1:25Speaker 4: and it starts right.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Now story number one.
- 1:28Speaker 4: In a shocking story, Donald Trump apparently has been targeted
- 1:32Speaker 4: by Iranian death fatoise, as watchdog groups are now demanding
- 1:37Speaker 4: immediate sanctions response because of the news. A news report
- 1:42Speaker 4: by the United Against Nuclear Iran is urging the US
- 1:47Speaker 4: government to impose sanctions on senior Ranian clerics and regime
- 1:51Speaker 4: controlled institutions that have issued or promoted Islamic legal rulings
- 1:58Speaker 4: known as fatois for the torture and assassination of President
- 2:03Speaker 4: Donald Trump, as well as other American citizens and the
- 2:08Speaker 4: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Nette and Yahoo. Now, the fontois
- 2:12Speaker 4: invoke the Islamic charge waging war against God, a term
- 2:17Speaker 4: in Iran's penal code that mandates brutal punishments, including crucifixion
- 2:23Speaker 4: and cross assumption. Under the regimes interpretation of Sharia law. Today,
- 2:30Speaker 4: U a NI is exposing the individuals and entities in
- 2:35Speaker 4: Iran hiding behind religion to forement terrorism abroad. The threats
- 2:41Speaker 4: against the President of the United States of America and
- 2:44Speaker 4: other Americans are a federal crime. Each of these individuals
- 2:48Speaker 4: and entities should be sanctioned, indicted, and banned from travel
- 2:53Speaker 4: along with their families to the United States and its allies.
- 2:57Speaker 4: That is what a joint statement by for former Governor
- 3:00Speaker 4: Jeb Bush, the UA and I'SED chairman and Ambassador Mark
- 3:05Speaker 4: Wallace at CEO and former US Ambassador of the UN
- 3:10Speaker 4: for Management and Reform said in a statement, the latest
- 3:14Speaker 4: fautoi against another American citizen, Salmon Rushdie, almost cost him
- 3:20Speaker 4: his life with him being stabbed by an Iranian regime sympathizer.
- 3:25Speaker 4: It is time to ensure that those who threaten Americans
- 3:29Speaker 4: face the full force of the law. Now. The UA
- 3:32Speaker 4: and i's new list identified not one, not two, not five,
- 3:38Speaker 4: not eight, but eleven individuals and two regime align entities
- 3:43Speaker 4: that have not been sanctioned under US counter terrorism laws.
- 3:48Speaker 4: The organization is calling for all of them to be
- 3:52Speaker 4: designated as specially designated Global terrorists under Executive Order thirteen
- 3:58Speaker 4: two two four, which is reserved for those engaged in
- 4:02Speaker 4: or supporting terrorism. Among the top targets is the Iatolinos,
- 4:08Speaker 4: are a powerful cleric known as the Sultan of Sugar
- 4:12Speaker 4: for his denomination of Iran's lucrative sugar trade. There's also
- 4:17Speaker 4: calls for others in the government, and there are many
- 4:21Speaker 4: that are concerned about what this could mean for sleeper
- 4:24Speaker 4: cells in the United States of America, which brings me
- 4:28Speaker 4: to part two of the story. Counter Terrorism experts are
- 4:32Speaker 4: now saying that Iran sleeper cells in the US might
- 4:36Speaker 4: be hiding now in plain sight.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Listen to this, So where they could be located or
- 4:43Speaker 5: where these sleeper cells may be is in plain sight.
- 4:47Speaker 5: And that's the real terrifying part of this is that
- 4:52Speaker 5: putting people in place, as we've seen over the past
- 4:56Speaker 5: four years, everyone scrambling because certain amounts of people could
- 4:59Speaker 5: come women here and get in here really relatively easy.
- 5:04Speaker 5: They could even go to the border and say they
- 5:07Speaker 5: seek asylum, and the Biden administration instead of putting them
- 5:11Speaker 5: into DHS housing or ICE housing and holding them there
- 5:16Speaker 5: so they could have their first appearance to be vetted
- 5:19Speaker 5: and whether or not they get asylum that was deferred
- 5:24Speaker 5: and they were allowed passage into the United States. For
- 5:27Speaker 5: some of these ICE agents are finding people who had
- 5:30Speaker 5: to deferment for four or more years, and Tom Homan
- 5:33Speaker 5: talked about that, how they were putting them in hotels
- 5:35Speaker 5: and deferring seven to nine years on some of these people.
- 5:39Speaker 5: So even if we knew about them, when they get
- 5:42Speaker 5: into the United States, they can just disappear. They are
- 5:47Speaker 5: working off the books. They can get a fake ID.
- 5:49Speaker 5: They can even get weapons with that fake ID in
- 5:52Speaker 5: certain states. And when we say fake IDs, it has
- 5:55Speaker 5: their picture but another official driver's license number that nobody
- 6:00Speaker 5: checks the details about. So the ability to get these
- 6:04Speaker 5: people in here and put them into sales and instruct
- 6:07Speaker 5: them on what they are to do if activated is
- 6:11Speaker 5: very simple. But we've seen multiple attacks by people who
- 6:15Speaker 5: didn't sneak in and people who were born here. The
- 6:19Speaker 5: Sarnef brothers, you know, for instance, they didn't sneak into
- 6:22Speaker 5: the United States and they carried out a massive attack
- 6:25Speaker 5: at the Boston marathon. So this is the hard part
- 6:29Speaker 5: about terrorism. It can happen anywhere at any time, and
- 6:31Speaker 5: these individuals can as long as they don't raise a ruckus.
- 6:35Speaker 4: They may not.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Even know what they're going to be called to do.
- 6:38Speaker 4: So here we are with another example of what wide
- 6:41Speaker 4: open borders have done in this country to our national security,
- 6:45Speaker 4: and the terrorism experts are warning us that it's time
- 6:48Speaker 4: for us to find these illegal immigrants, specifically those that
- 6:52Speaker 4: are staying here from Iran, and make sure that we
- 6:55Speaker 4: keep this country safe, including Donald Trump.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Next story number two.
- 7:00Speaker 4: For the last several years, there have been major warning
- 7:02Speaker 4: signs about Chinese nationals connected the Chinese Communist Party buying
- 7:08Speaker 4: up literally hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland. What
- 7:13Speaker 4: was even more suspicious about the deals is how much
- 7:16Speaker 4: of the farmland was around our top military basis. Well,
- 7:21Speaker 4: there is now a move for a nationwide ban on
- 7:24Speaker 4: Chinese farmland sales. The Agriculture Secretary Rowlins announcing a new
- 7:30Speaker 4: National Farm Security Act plan which will implement a nationwide
- 7:35Speaker 4: ban on sales of US farmland to Chinese nationals and
- 7:38Speaker 4: other quote adversarial countries. It also includes mechanisms to clawback
- 7:45Speaker 4: existing Chinese own land, primarily near military installations. Now, the
- 7:51Speaker 4: calallback of already acquired farmland is obviously not an easy task,
- 7:55Speaker 4: but it was a central element of the plan, and
- 7:58Speaker 4: it is one that is well led by the Trump administration,
- 8:02Speaker 4: and it is a push to reclaim the land already
- 8:04Speaker 4: owned by these Chinese entities, leveraging executive action and federal
- 8:09Speaker 4: state coordination to reverse past acquisitions. We also know that
- 8:14Speaker 4: this is a multi agency US government effort and they
- 8:19Speaker 4: are now demanding stronger oversight. This initiative marks a coordinated
- 8:23Speaker 4: effort with the USDA, the Defense Department, Homeland Security, the
- 8:28Speaker 4: Treasury Department, as well as others tightening oversight of farmland transactions,
- 8:34Speaker 4: specifically near strategic assets and military sites. Rawins also officially
- 8:40Speaker 4: joined the CFIUS to ensure security over agricultural investment for
- 8:45Speaker 4: national security purposes, and they wanted to reduce foreign holdings.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Already underway, the USDA data indicates now that Chinese farmland
- 8:56Speaker 4: ownership has declined now around two hundred and sixty five
- 9:00Speaker 4: to three hundred thousand acres of US farmland, down from
- 9:04Speaker 4: higher levels in prior years. Notably, major players like Smithville
- 9:09Speaker 4: Foods the wh Group have significantly sold land holdings now
- 9:13Speaker 4: at about eighty five thousand acres. But the question is
- 9:17Speaker 4: how do we get to the point where we're allowing
- 9:19Speaker 4: the Chinese to own farmlands, specifically around our most secretive basis.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Secretary Rawlings went on Fox News channel The ingram Angle
- 9:30Speaker 4: to explain all of this.
- 9:31Speaker 6: Listen carefully, Agriculture Secretary Brook Rowlins is here to tell
- 9:35Speaker 6: us more. Madam, Secretary is good to see you tonight.
- 9:38Speaker 6: So as of twenty twenty three, this is going to
- 9:40Speaker 6: shock the viewers. China reportedly owned more than two hundred
- 9:44Speaker 6: and seventy seven thousand acres of agricultural land in the country.
- 9:49Speaker 6: Is this I mean, is this a goal of ours
- 9:53Speaker 6: now to have China own zero percent? Could you get
- 9:56Speaker 6: that back from China? Tell us what's going to happen?
- 9:59Speaker 7: Well, first of all, how great to be with you again.
- 10:01Speaker 7: We had a wonderful event this morning announcing this. I
- 10:04Speaker 7: had Secretary of Homeland Security Christy Nome, Defense Pete haig
- 10:08Speaker 7: Seth had a G. Pambondi, we had three of the
- 10:11Speaker 7: country's best governors. We had several people from the hill.
- 10:15Speaker 7: This isn't all of government approach.
- 10:17Speaker 4: What does that mean?
- 10:17Speaker 7: Well, what that means is that if we're going to
- 10:20Speaker 7: really ban China from buying our farmland or any foreign adversaries,
- 10:24Speaker 7: it's got to be The States have to lean in.
- 10:26Speaker 7: The federal government has.
- 10:27Speaker 8: To step up. We've got to have.
- 10:29Speaker 7: Executive orders out of the White House. A law, there's
- 10:32Speaker 7: a law needs to be passed. A lot of bills
- 10:34Speaker 7: have been filed, but it hasn't moved. I don't know
- 10:36Speaker 7: that America really understands, or at least our elected officials.
- 10:41Speaker 6: China owned Smithfield Foods, one of the largest food processing
- 10:44Speaker 6: plants in the United States, land in their military bases.
- 10:47Speaker 6: I've covered this for twenty years.
- 10:48Speaker 7: Well it's now all changed is today? I mean today
- 10:51Speaker 7: we for the first time are saying no more banning
- 10:53Speaker 7: the sale of China farmland, working with the States, getting
- 10:56Speaker 7: the bills passed through Congress, having an executive order, but
- 10:59Speaker 7: also Laura looking at how to potentially claw some of
- 11:03Speaker 7: that back, especially that's a national security issue, one.
- 11:06Speaker 6: Hundred percent of national security issue, food security, national security,
- 11:09Speaker 6: Madam Secretary. Earlier today, President Trump made a comment about
- 11:13Speaker 6: what to do with illegal immigrant farm workers.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Watch there's no amnesty. What we're doing is we're getting
- 11:19Speaker 2: rid of criminals, but we are doing a work program.
- 11:23Speaker 6: But last week the President said something different in Des Moines.
- 11:27Speaker 2: We're going to sort of put the farmers in charge.
- 11:29Speaker 2: If a farmer's been with one of these people that
- 11:32Speaker 2: work so hard they bend over all day. We don't
- 11:35Speaker 2: have too many people can do that, but they work
- 11:37Speaker 2: very hard, and they know them very well. If a
- 11:40Speaker 2: farmer's willing to vouch for these people in some way, Christy,
- 11:44Speaker 2: I think we're going to have to just say, that's
- 11:45Speaker 2: going to be good. Serious radical right people who I
- 11:47Speaker 2: also happen to like a lot. They may not be
- 11:50Speaker 2: quite as happy, but they'll understand.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Well, I mean, Madame Secretary, which is it? Because first
- 11:55Speaker 6: of all, radical right, that's the majority of Americans want
- 11:57Speaker 6: every illegal immigrant apported four poles right, majority of Americans
- 12:01Speaker 6: want all legal immigrants. Americans always did their own farming.
- 12:05Speaker 6: You and I were growing up. Americans did their own farming.
- 12:07Speaker 6: There were a few foreign workers, but really not that many.
- 12:09Speaker 6: What's going on here?
- 12:10Speaker 7: Well, I think, first of all, and I was glad
- 12:12Speaker 7: the President underscored this today. First, no amnesty.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Under said no amnesty, so to McCain.
- 12:17Speaker 7: But then, well, you know, I think President Trump hopefully
- 12:20Speaker 7: has earned a little more grace, not grace, but a
- 12:22Speaker 7: little more confidence than those But no amnesty. Second, mass
- 12:25Speaker 7: deportations continue, but he has been fairly specific that we
- 12:30Speaker 7: need to make sure that we don't compromise our food supply.
- 12:33Speaker 7: So we are going to mass support, but we have
- 12:35Speaker 7: to make sure we focus on the really bad guys
- 12:37Speaker 7: first in the inner cities LA New York, et cetera.
- 12:39Speaker 7: Number three, moving toward more automation, but also moving toward
- 12:43Speaker 7: an American based labor supply. You and I have talked
- 12:46Speaker 7: about this on screen, off screen, that's the goal, and
- 12:49Speaker 7: then finally for Congress, our Secretary of Labor and others
- 12:52Speaker 7: to really begin to fix this. The President is unequivocal
- 12:56Speaker 7: in his support for farmers, but also weighing that with
- 12:58Speaker 7: his support for secure borders and mass deportation ensuring we
- 13:01Speaker 7: don't have that illegal population here. He remains committed to that,
- 13:05Speaker 7: and we're here to effectuate that vision.
- 13:08Speaker 4: It is incredible to witness what President Donald Trump is doing,
- 13:12Speaker 4: not only making sure that our adversary is done on
- 13:14Speaker 4: our farm land, but also that we can protect our
- 13:17Speaker 4: food sources and our crops and also protecting American farmers.
- 13:22Speaker 4: The President United States of America also making it clear
- 13:25Speaker 4: that China is no longer going to be calling the
- 13:27Speaker 4: shots in the United States of America.
- 13:30Speaker 3: And here is story number three.
- 13:31Speaker 4: I want to move on to something else, and that
- 13:33Speaker 4: is what's happening right now in LA. It has not
- 13:36Speaker 4: been reported on much, and that is the anti ice
- 13:39Speaker 4: protests that have taken over in LA, taken over the
- 13:41Speaker 4: Los Angeles Bridge and the ACLU is now filing a lawsuit.
- 13:46Speaker 4: I want you to hear this coming from Fox News
- 13:49Speaker 4: about what's happening there now.
- 13:51Speaker 8: Taking over the Sixth Street Bridge, one of several rallies
- 13:54Speaker 8: in a citywide day of action against immigration raids.
- 13:57Speaker 9: This bridge has been the entry point fu Boyle Heights
- 14:01Speaker 9: to kidnap community members and take them who knows where.
- 14:04Speaker 9: So that was an inspiration.
- 14:06Speaker 8: CHP standing by the freeway off ramps, the group staying
- 14:10Speaker 8: on the bridge for a while but eventually moving on
- 14:12Speaker 8: to Boyle Heights in Koreatown. Meanwhile, Blessings at another rally,
- 14:17Speaker 8: coalition of groups including the Tenants' Union, marching peacefully with
- 14:21Speaker 8: the message.
- 14:22Speaker 9: We're here to support the jornalleos and vendors and all
- 14:25Speaker 9: the immigrants in Los Angeles and making sure that we
- 14:27Speaker 9: retake these streets. We protect each other. This is the
- 14:30Speaker 9: only way that we're finding our safety. So we're making community.
- 14:34Speaker 9: We're reaching out to our neighbors and protecting each other.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Now you can hear these protests becoming a reality. And
- 14:41Speaker 4: then things got worse with the Los Angeles radical Democratic
- 14:45Speaker 4: mayor Karen Bass sparking controversy on social media this week
- 14:49Speaker 4: after she attempted to interfere with ICE agents conducting immigration raids,
- 14:55Speaker 4: calling it outrageous and quote un American. Yes are saying
- 15:00Speaker 4: it's Unamerican if you don't let people that break in
- 15:04Speaker 4: this country, and many of them that are criminals stay. Now,
- 15:07Speaker 4: she has been a vocal opponent of immigration raids in
- 15:10Speaker 4: her city, appeared at the scene and demonstrated to well
- 15:17Speaker 4: anyone that would film her on camera because she's one
- 15:19Speaker 4: of those psycho narcissists. She also demanded to speak with
- 15:23Speaker 4: ICE leadership when the agents were conducting an operation at
- 15:27Speaker 4: MacArthur Park on Monday, saying they need to leave. They
- 15:30Speaker 4: need to leave right now. They need to leave because
- 15:32Speaker 4: this is unacceptable, is what Bass said on the scene. Now.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Bass claimed on social media there were children playing at
- 15:38Speaker 4: the park, which is well known in the area as
- 15:40Speaker 4: a hotbed of homelessness and crime, even during daylight hours
- 15:45Speaker 4: minutes before. By the way, there were more than twenty
- 15:48Speaker 4: kids playing, she claimed. Then the military came through the
- 15:52Speaker 4: second I heard about this, I went to the park
- 15:54Speaker 4: to speak to the person in charge and tell them
- 15:55Speaker 4: it need to end. Now, absolutely outrageous. Well Bass's act,
- 16:00Speaker 4: sparking immediate pushback from critics online, saying this, if only
- 16:06Speaker 4: Karen Bask worked as hard for the fire victims in
- 16:09Speaker 4: LA as she does for criminal illegals. That's what darre Isa,
- 16:13Speaker 4: who represents California's forty eighth congressional district, said on X
- 16:18Speaker 4: another one saying it this way. Democrats aren't used to
- 16:21Speaker 4: seeing the law being enforced. That's what the communications director
- 16:25Speaker 4: for the Florida Republican AG saying on X. But luckily
- 16:30Speaker 4: Karen was able to speak to the manager, mocking her
- 16:34Speaker 4: going into that park losing her mind for the cameras. Now,
- 16:38Speaker 4: the federal government would not have to deploy against foreign
- 16:41Speaker 4: invaders if you would just stop harboring them, is what
- 16:46Speaker 4: GOP represented Mike Collins said. And here's another one. If
- 16:51Speaker 4: you did your job, these guys wouldn't need to do theirs.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Now MacArthur Park is a vile, filthy drug INFESG gang
- 16:58Speaker 4: Blankley of Karen Bass is what actor James Woods said,
- 17:03Speaker 4: saying the Kammie Loser would be happier in Cuba. So
- 17:07Speaker 4: this is where we are. Democrats are supporting those that
- 17:11Speaker 4: are criminals over Americans right now. Her city, by the way,
- 17:16Speaker 4: has managed to issue like ten rebuilding permits for the
- 17:18Speaker 4: victims of the Palisades fire. But what is she doing
- 17:22Speaker 4: instead of helping those Americans. Yeah, she's focused like a
- 17:25Speaker 4: laser on protecting MS thirteen gang members. That's another example
- 17:29Speaker 4: of just how radical the left has become. And in
- 17:32Speaker 4: addition to social media fallout, the border Patrol chief also
- 17:36Speaker 4: saying to Fox News that he was the official that
- 17:40Speaker 4: Bass spoke to on the phone at the scene when
- 17:43Speaker 4: she demanded the ray to stop saying this. I don't
- 17:46Speaker 4: work for Karen Bass. Better get used to us now
- 17:49Speaker 4: because this is going to be very normal. We will
- 17:53Speaker 4: go anywhere anytime we want in Los Angeles. Another example
- 17:58Speaker 4: of the Trump administration doing what they promised to voters,
- 18:01Speaker 4: getting the worst criminals that are illegal immigrants out of
- 18:06Speaker 4: this country.
