- 0:23Speaker 4: Yeah listening to.

- 0:50Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 0:50Speaker 5: Joy? You know you love?
- 1:06Speaker 6: You gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 7: I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I have to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You probably got to turn the mouth water the mony up.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come on, you're thinking that, huh, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Come on now, dig me one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 3: Man got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 1: What God doing, y'all?
- 2:14Speaker 8: Huh?
- 2:15Speaker 1: What he doing?
- 2:16Speaker 3: What he doing in your life? He doing something? He moving,
- 2:19Speaker 3: he working. Don't lose your patience though, see I did
- 2:23Speaker 3: that before. Don't lose your patience. Don't get so sick
- 2:29Speaker 3: of waiting that you take matters into your own hands.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Don't do that. Boy, you're blowing it. Listen to me.
- 2:36Speaker 3: You're listening to somebody who's done it that way. I
- 2:39Speaker 3: had a dream, I had a vision. I had some hope,
- 2:43Speaker 3: I had some faith, I had some aspirations. But I
- 2:47Speaker 3: got a little impatient waiting on it. So I tried
- 2:49Speaker 3: a couple other things. Move it along, boy, I can't
- 2:52Speaker 3: tell you how I messed it up. Then I messed
- 2:54Speaker 3: it up then, because God gave me the power of decision,
- 2:57Speaker 3: what I had to do was then after I took
- 3:00Speaker 3: matters into my own hand, messed it up.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Now I guess what. He still got something fummy.
- 3:06Speaker 3: But nah, I gotta fix all the mistakes now, I
- 3:08Speaker 3: gotta straighten them out, gotta I gotta suffer some consequences.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I gotta pay for my transgressions. All of that, All
- 3:15Speaker 3: of that, it's gotta go down. You can't do something
- 3:19Speaker 3: wrong and not pay for it. It's just you call it, calma,
- 3:24Speaker 3: call it whatever you want to call it. Every action
- 3:27Speaker 3: has an equal and opposite reaction every action. If it
- 3:32Speaker 3: just stays sunny all the time, you might think it's cool,
- 3:35Speaker 3: but there's gonna be a reaction to it. Ain't no dark,
- 3:38Speaker 3: ain't no shade, ain't no break, ain't no rain. Gonna
- 3:41Speaker 3: be hard if it's just sunny all the time, vice versa.
- 3:45Speaker 3: So you need you need the opposite. You need the
- 3:49Speaker 3: darkness so you can get your break from that sun.
- 3:52Speaker 3: You need the rain so you can nourish the roots
- 3:55Speaker 3: so that sun can it can soak up the sun
- 3:58Speaker 3: and get the benefit of the sun. If you don't
- 4:00Speaker 3: get the opposite, you got a problem, man. And it
- 4:03Speaker 3: happens throughout nature, it happens throughout your life. Don't think
- 4:07Speaker 3: that you can do wrong and not have to pay
- 4:10Speaker 3: for that.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You think this is man.
- 4:13Speaker 3: We think man, because we'd have made a decision that
- 4:17Speaker 3: we think is best for us, and no matter how
- 4:19Speaker 3: to affect nobody else, we got the right to make
- 4:21Speaker 3: that call.
- 4:22Speaker 1: No, you don't.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Whoever is telling you that, whoever's misguiding you into the
- 4:26Speaker 3: gang life, telling you, yeah, man, you need to be
- 4:29Speaker 3: this way to be down with us. I'll tell you what.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Get yourself stuck on chuck with that gang. See how
- 4:33Speaker 3: many them be there for you. Oh, they'll go around
- 4:36Speaker 3: the corner with you and start shooting. But okay, when
- 4:39Speaker 3: it's time to do some time and they can lessen
- 4:42Speaker 3: they sentence, you gonna get that time. They gonna point
- 4:45Speaker 3: their finger dead at you. I watched for eight hours
- 4:47Speaker 3: all the time, man, I watch Lock Up Raw all
- 4:49Speaker 3: the time, all the time, man, all the time. Ain't
- 4:53Speaker 3: no real cold dudes out there, just holding to the
- 4:56Speaker 3: mantra and sticking to it. Even the mob turns stateside,
- 5:00Speaker 3: evidence go fed all that now we are now the hood.
- 5:03Speaker 3: We didne created this ignorant mess called no snitching. With
- 5:06Speaker 3: that ignorant mess, you don't even understand. No snitching was
- 5:09Speaker 3: created by criminals as a cold of honor. If you
- 5:13Speaker 3: do dirt and you get busted doing the dirt, don't
- 5:15Speaker 3: bring my name up if I was with you. That's
- 5:17Speaker 3: a cold of honor amongst the thieves. Now, so many
- 5:20Speaker 3: code of honor thieves that then came out of prison.
- 5:22Speaker 3: They ain't gotten honor. They done brought that stuff back
- 5:24Speaker 3: to the street. Now that's all in the neighborhood.
- 5:26Speaker 1: No snitching.
- 5:28Speaker 3: No snitching, You got to be crazy. That's for people
- 5:31Speaker 3: who disobey the law. That's who people have made a
- 5:34Speaker 3: cold of honor amongst themselves as thieves. Hey, man, if
- 5:37Speaker 3: you get busted, don't drag me down with you. Just
- 5:39Speaker 3: do your time. Oh man, you can't bring that stuff
- 5:42Speaker 3: out here to me. I'm a law abiding citizen.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Dog. I'm trying to live right over here. Man.
- 5:47Speaker 3: I don't want no crack house up street from my
- 5:49Speaker 3: mama's house. I'm trying to do right out here. Man.
- 5:52Speaker 3: You can't do wrong and expect wrong not to come
- 5:54Speaker 3: to you. You got to make a decision every day
- 5:57Speaker 3: to do right. And God ain't got no protect you
- 6:00Speaker 3: on dirt. You got what you got coming. You made
- 6:02Speaker 3: a decision. You go down there to get some you
- 6:07Speaker 3: might get got See, we got to come on. I'm
- 6:11Speaker 3: talking to so many men out here right now. I
- 6:14Speaker 3: should have said that in the beginning, but a conversation
- 6:16Speaker 3: that kind of got away from me. I was gonna
- 6:17Speaker 3: talk to you about something else this morning, but it's
- 6:20Speaker 3: just only man. Because our communities. Man's just going to
- 6:23Speaker 3: the pot man because it ain't nobody can about nobody else.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Don't nobody care when they see that young dude over
- 6:30Speaker 3: there doing wrong? Look at them, foods over the man.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Go over there and talk to one of them. Pull
- 6:34Speaker 3: them to the side.
- 6:35Speaker 9: Man.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You might not be able to approach the group, but
- 6:38Speaker 1: you can approach an individual. Come in, young man. Let
- 6:41Speaker 1: me talk to you. I saw you the other day. Man.
- 6:43Speaker 3: You look like you got something going on in your life.
- 6:45Speaker 3: What's happening with you? Let me talk to you, man,
- 6:47Speaker 3: Let me share something I learned. I was doing what
- 6:49Speaker 3: you was doing.
- 6:51Speaker 1: You know.
- 6:51Speaker 3: It's like Tommy did a prank phone call one time
- 6:53Speaker 3: as a limo driver and the dude.
- 6:57Speaker 1: The prank was.
- 6:58Speaker 3: He called this limo company to asked this limo driver
- 7:01Speaker 3: to take him to this location late at night, and
- 7:06Speaker 3: the limo driver got a young business he going, yeah, okay,
- 7:08Speaker 3: I got you. I don't normally work like that. But
- 7:11Speaker 3: how long you need it? He said for just about
- 7:12Speaker 3: an hour? He said, well, I'm gonna have to charge
- 7:14Speaker 3: you for the full three though, because a three hour minimum.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Tommy told him, now, I just need it for one hours.
- 7:19Speaker 3: He said, okay, I'll give you a break, young man.
- 7:21Speaker 3: You're trying to do something. Where you want to go?
- 7:23Speaker 3: He gave an address. The man stopped writing. He said,
- 7:26Speaker 3: that's a bank. He said, yeah. He said, you want
- 7:30Speaker 3: to go to the bank at twelve thirty at night.
- 7:33Speaker 3: He said yeah, and I'm gonna be in for a
- 7:35Speaker 3: few minutes. And when I come out that bank, I
- 7:38Speaker 3: need for you to flow it.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That to do with the limo. He stopped writing.
- 7:43Speaker 3: He said, hold on, hold on, man, you want me
- 7:47Speaker 3: to take you to a bank twelve thirty at night.
- 7:49Speaker 3: You gonna be hitting there for a few minutes and
- 7:52Speaker 3: you gonna come out, and you want me to flow it.
- 7:55Speaker 3: He said, sir, I don't do stuff like that. He said,
- 7:57Speaker 3: you got the wrong company. He said, what made you call?
- 8:00Speaker 3: He said, hey, man, don't worry about that. You a
- 8:02Speaker 3: limo come to you.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Just drive.
- 8:04Speaker 3: He stopped and took the time out. He said, young man,
- 8:07Speaker 3: let me tell you something. He say, I've been down before,
- 8:10Speaker 3: I've been locked up before. It ain't pretty. He said,
- 8:14Speaker 3: that's what's wrong with you young people today. Instead of
- 8:16Speaker 3: going to get a job, trying to work your way,
- 8:18Speaker 3: you always looking for some fast money. He said, I'm
- 8:20Speaker 3: gonna tell you what I already know. Don't go down
- 8:22Speaker 3: there messing with them people's money like that because they
- 8:24Speaker 3: love that money way more than they love you, and
- 8:27Speaker 3: they gonna do something to you down there.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Now. You stop this foolishness.
- 8:30Speaker 3: And I'm not caring you nowhere, but I'm gonna take
- 8:33Speaker 3: a little bit of time out to tell you something.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Don't go down here with messing with these people's money
- 8:38Speaker 3: because it ain't gonna go good. They gonna take care
- 8:40Speaker 3: of their business when they come to that money. Tommy
- 8:43Speaker 3: kept insisting to this man to pick him up in
- 8:45Speaker 3: the limbo. It was a plank phone call. But the
- 8:47Speaker 3: point I'm making is the man took our time. He
- 8:50Speaker 3: could have just hung the phone up.
- 8:51Speaker 1: But you know what he said.
- 8:52Speaker 3: He said, hold up, young man, let me hip you
- 8:54Speaker 3: to something. Because the brother had been locked up before.
- 8:57Speaker 3: He said, no, no, no, see, I've done that when
- 8:59Speaker 3: I was young. Now I'm gonna stop it. I'm gonna
- 9:00Speaker 3: take some moment out to tell you I'm up here,
- 9:02Speaker 3: working man, trying to earn an honest living. I ain't
- 9:05Speaker 3: going back down there because I don't. They make you
- 9:08Speaker 3: eat what they want you to eat. You don't want
- 9:09Speaker 3: the food. You got to get up when they say
- 9:11Speaker 3: get up. You gotta stay where they say stay, live
- 9:13Speaker 3: with who they say live. He said, man, you don't
- 9:15Speaker 3: want that, and he just tried to talk the young
- 9:17Speaker 3: man out of me. You can change a young man's
- 9:20Speaker 3: mind with a conversation. A conversation can change a young
- 9:24Speaker 3: man's mind. Most of these young men that are misguided
- 9:27Speaker 3: ain't having conversations with real men.
- 9:30Speaker 1: They're just not having them.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And it's up to us, who know what manhood is is,
- 9:34Speaker 3: to start delivering the message the problem that we have
- 9:37Speaker 3: in our communities we can solve ourselves, and to escalate
- 9:40Speaker 3: it to a point because we who are men won't
- 9:43Speaker 3: stop on our corporate climb and our day to day
- 9:46Speaker 3: making money and trying to ball out. We won't stop
- 9:49Speaker 3: and grab some of these young soldiers and tell them
- 9:51Speaker 3: the truth about manhood. That's the real deal. Okay, sah,
- 9:54Speaker 3: I went there. I don't know where they came from.
- 9:56Speaker 7: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Hello?
- 10:05Speaker 8: Is it me?
- 10:06Speaker 1: You're looking fault lot of richie man.
- 10:11Speaker 3: You know what, I just wake up. I'm just so
- 10:15Speaker 3: grateful to wake up in the morning. I start off happy.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I implement happy thoughts into my morning. Thus I have
- 10:26Speaker 3: happy moments after that. Please stop telling yourself you're not
- 10:31Speaker 3: a morning person. Seeing us how morning is the goal
- 10:36Speaker 3: every day. Why would you put that on yourself to
- 10:41Speaker 3: claim to not be a morning person. You got to
- 10:45Speaker 3: show gratitude for waking up. I am a morning person,
- 10:48Speaker 3: I'm an afternoon person. I'm a nighttime guy. I'm all that.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I'm glad.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I'm here for the ride, baby, Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 10:55Speaker 3: Sheldon Strawberry calling for real Mouth of the South, Junior
- 10:59Speaker 3: government named and the legend that is Nephew Tommy Junior.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Gotta go with from me to day. What's on your mind?
- 11:05Speaker 10: Man?
- 11:06Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 11:06Speaker 4: Unc man.
- 11:08Speaker 11: I gotta ask you this, man, because you know you
- 11:10Speaker 11: you got so much wisdom. But why must people always
- 11:12Speaker 11: remind you of what you used to do and who
- 11:14Speaker 11: you used to be, but then say.
- 11:16Speaker 1: You changed and you too good now?
- 11:18Speaker 3: They always because they're trying to hold you to a
- 11:21Speaker 3: certain standard. They're trying to hold you to a certain standard.
- 11:26Speaker 3: A lot of people are here to remind you of
- 11:28Speaker 3: what you used to be so you don't get too
- 11:30Speaker 3: far ahead of yourself and get further ahead of them
- 11:34Speaker 3: by being the new person that you've become. Example, I
- 11:40Speaker 3: don't know what he's sitting up here, talk about it.
- 11:41Speaker 3: I remember when he was over there. Cheat okay, but
- 11:45Speaker 3: suppose the man don't cheat no more. Well, I don't
- 11:48Speaker 3: know nothing about all that. I'm just telling you what
- 11:50Speaker 3: I know. Well, people change, and people have the right
- 11:54Speaker 3: to change, and people grow, and people have the right
- 11:57Speaker 3: to grow. The person that's talking about you, I can
- 12:01Speaker 3: promise you ain't grow. It's stuck on chuck, stuck right
- 12:04Speaker 3: where they are, and they want everybody else to be
- 12:07Speaker 3: right there. See, And a lot of times you can't
- 12:10Speaker 3: move forward in your life without leaving certain people behind.
- 12:14Speaker 3: If you have a person in your life that's constantly
- 12:17Speaker 3: reminding you of who you are and will not accept
- 12:20Speaker 3: the new person that you've become. That's a clear sign
- 12:23Speaker 3: that you need to get rid of that person right there,
- 12:26Speaker 3: because they're not ready for the rise anyway.
- 12:29Speaker 1: See, everybody come with you can't go with you. See.
- 12:33Speaker 3: So now what you've become and where you are now,
- 12:37Speaker 3: you don't need that type of person in your life
- 12:39Speaker 3: reminding you who you are.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I know people like that who do me that same way?
- 12:43Speaker 1: Are you a big star? Now? You missed a TV man?
- 12:47Speaker 1: I remember you in high school? I mean I do too.
- 12:50Speaker 1: We got a year book, but I ain't here no more?
- 12:54Speaker 8: What right?
- 12:56Speaker 4: Change bro?
- 12:57Speaker 3: Everybody change dum. People got fam people become responsible. Life
- 13:02Speaker 3: lauses them to become responsible. So yeah, that irresponsible stuff
- 13:07Speaker 3: you saw me doing back then, I can't do that
- 13:10Speaker 3: no more. Life didn't happen to me, bob. But they
- 13:13Speaker 3: want to hold you to that. It's just like forgiveness.
- 13:17Speaker 3: When God forgives you, get up and move on with
- 13:20Speaker 3: your life, because sometimes people don't blank everybody else blank them.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Now you won't forgiveness for God, or you want forgiveness
- 13:29Speaker 3: for that person over there?
- 13:31Speaker 1: That stuff on chub in they pass.
- 13:34Speaker 7: All right, we got it.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Thank you.

- 15:14Speaker 1: Is that what it is? B b als?
- 15:16Speaker 7: That's what it's. That's what some people think it stands for.
- 15:19Speaker 7: If I buy you Brazilian butt lifts, that's what it
- 15:22Speaker 7: stands for.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Now if I buy a butt too? Oh? All that
- 15:29Speaker 1: all that just a just a box full of stuff.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Then we go. Let's go catch up.
- 15:35Speaker 8: Hello, I'm trying to reach all of them. Yeah, this
- 15:37Speaker 8: is him. Hey, you married you? You engaged in Madison? Right?
- 15:42Speaker 8: Yes I am. There's a problem with it or something?
- 15:44Speaker 8: What's up? No? No, no, no, no, My name is Ricky.
- 15:47Speaker 12: Man.
- 15:47Speaker 8: Have you heard about the last person that she was
- 15:49Speaker 8: engaged too? Well, she kind of spoke briefly about you. Well,
- 15:53Speaker 8: you know what. Man, First of all, let me just
- 15:54Speaker 8: say this congratulations. Okay, let me let me be the
- 15:57Speaker 8: first say that. Congratulations for y'all getting in, and I
- 16:00Speaker 8: hope it worked with y'all. Okay, Okay, here here's why
- 16:03Speaker 8: I call. Uh. We got a situation at hand that
- 16:08Speaker 8: we kind of need to clear up between you and I.
- 16:10Speaker 8: So what is it? Me and you got a little
- 16:14Speaker 8: conversation we need to have about property? Well, were talking
- 16:17Speaker 8: about property? What property? The property we lived in? What
- 16:19Speaker 8: are you talking about? This is my property? Okay. Now
- 16:22Speaker 8: I'm not talking about your house or nothing like that. Oh.
- 16:24Speaker 8: I got some property over there that belonged to me,
- 16:26Speaker 8: and I'm trying to figure out how we can rectify problem. Well,

- 16:32Speaker 8: you can come and get it. I know, top, what
- 16:34Speaker 8: do you have over here in my house that's yours? Okay?
- 16:37Speaker 8: The actual the actual breast that she had belonged to me,
- 16:41Speaker 8: the breast breath. I bought her some breast implant. Man.
- 16:45Speaker 8: I ain't know nothing about no breast implants. Okay, you
- 16:48Speaker 8: might not know nothing about it, but the bottom line
- 16:50Speaker 8: is I spent ten thousand dollars on some breast implants
- 16:53Speaker 8: and I want my property back, buddy. Man, jeez, no man,
- 16:58Speaker 8: you're not getting back. You talking about pressing plan. I
- 17:01Speaker 8: ain't know nothing about that, man. Hey man, I understand

- 22:05Speaker 7: or you could keep them all to yourself. No one
- 22:07Speaker 7: has to know. Stop by your local Verizon. It is
- 22:11Speaker 7: time to ask the CLO. Our Chief Love Officer, Steve
- 22:14Speaker 7: Harvey is in the building Kenya and Denver Rights. I'm
- 22:18Speaker 7: forty eight years old and I've been married for eighteen years.
- 22:22Speaker 7: My husband started sleeping in his man cave because he
- 22:26Speaker 7: had a bad back. He has a bad back and
- 22:28Speaker 7: our mattress is just too soft. I'm not sure how
- 22:32Speaker 7: a recliner is better for his back, but I don't
- 22:35Speaker 7: want to argue. Why else would he prefer to sleep
- 22:38Speaker 7: in the cold basement alone. Please help.
- 22:41Speaker 3: You got a bad back, he got a bad act
- 22:46Speaker 3: and to all you need to know is tquird to
- 22:48Speaker 3: bad back happened?
- 22:50Speaker 7: When?
- 22:50Speaker 8: Did it?
- 22:51Speaker 1: Had back happened three years ago? At fifteen? Yeah? Ma did?
- 22:56Speaker 3: That's when the marriage started going bad at fifteen. A
- 23:00Speaker 3: combination thing. His back really is hurt, and that's the excuse.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Just sleep downstairs. Something about making that bed that got
- 23:07Speaker 3: on his nerves.
- 23:09Speaker 1: You make his back hurt.
- 23:10Speaker 7: And the mattress, yeah, she said, the mattress is too soft.
- 23:16Speaker 3: No, she that's what he told her. Could it be
- 23:19Speaker 3: the mattresses too tall, too soft, or she is too hard?
- 23:24Speaker 7: M hmm, well none of them all right.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Well, but that's why that's why he in the basement,
- 23:30Speaker 3: and that's why she'd wrote the letter because the answer
- 23:33Speaker 3: ain't in now.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it ain't in the mattress, it ain't in the recline.
- 23:39Speaker 7: So what should she do?
- 23:40Speaker 3: She wants to marriage, get a match and recline and
- 23:45Speaker 3: go down there and be with your hubs.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Okay, a mattress, recline, get a new.
- 23:50Speaker 7: Mattress, now, he said, a matching recliner.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I mean that makes sense to get a new mattress,
- 23:58Speaker 3: the problem solved. Yes, but you you not fit to
- 24:02Speaker 3: do that because you're so busy, want to know why
- 24:05Speaker 3: he won't get in this soft matter. But then you
- 24:07Speaker 3: prefer the soft mattress over your man next to you. Hello,
- 24:11Speaker 3: this man's discovery because this is her fall. No, it
- 24:15Speaker 3: ain't her fault. It's not her fault at all. But
- 24:19Speaker 3: she don't want to be a part of the solution.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 24:23Speaker 7: So he didn't even tell her. He just started doing it.
- 24:28Speaker 3: He's said, because the mattress is too tall soft. She
- 24:31Speaker 3: never even thought to say, well, baby, let's just get
- 24:33Speaker 3: a different mattress. Your man husband back hurting, He got.
- 24:36Speaker 1: To go to work. What's af the got a bunch
- 24:39Speaker 1: of hard mattresses. What it's called firm? They don't care

- 24:44Speaker 7: What they write us for, we don't care you Ricky
- 24:46Speaker 7: and Saginaw.

- 24:52Speaker 7: in the house will be solely in his name. We're
- 24:55Speaker 7: twenty four years old and have been dating for four years.
- 24:58Speaker 7: I want my name on the paperwork. And he said
- 25:01Speaker 7: I can't be at it. I can be at it
- 25:03Speaker 7: if we get married. When he said if it hurt
- 25:06Speaker 7: my feelings, does that mean marrying me is optional to him?
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, it is optional to him. They're doing this backwards.
- 25:14Speaker 1: You see your name on the house, that's optional, Your man,

- 47:20Speaker 13: We sused to be there by the afternoon?
- 47:22Speaker 12: Okay? Uh is missus Purvis? Is she is your mama
- 47:26Speaker 12: making the dressing?
- 47:28Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 47:28Speaker 10: She's making enough for about forty five people. Actually, this
- 47:32Speaker 10: was discussed about a month ago.
- 47:34Speaker 12: Right y'all on the y'all they had the conference call,
- 47:37Speaker 12: the conference the family had the conference call, right, yes, sir? Okay,
- 47:42Speaker 12: now listen, what the reason why they got me to call?
- 47:45Speaker 12: They wanted me to go in and call, and and
- 47:47Speaker 12: I was trying to get miss Purvis. She's not there.
- 47:50Speaker 8: No, she's not here. What's wrong? Oh?
- 47:53Speaker 12: Okay, they're not gonna They're not gonna need her to
- 47:55Speaker 12: do the to do the dressing.
- 47:57Speaker 10: And why wouldn't they need her to do this? She
- 47:59Speaker 10: would make it ten years we did.
- 48:01Speaker 12: We just discussed it. So what do you mean they
- 48:04Speaker 12: say that they got somebody down here that's gonna do
- 48:06Speaker 12: the dressing. Let it says, y'all traveling y'all ain't got
- 48:08Speaker 12: to bring it, you know, and be traveling with it.
- 48:10Speaker 12: But they got somebody gonna do the dressing.
- 48:12Speaker 10: Okay, Well, first of all, hold, are you your your beingie?
- 48:16Speaker 13: What is your name?
- 48:17Speaker 8: That?
- 48:17Speaker 10: Well?
- 48:17Speaker 12: No, my name Benjamin, but they called me Benjie. But
- 48:20Speaker 12: but but like I say, I'm on the other side
- 48:23Speaker 12: of the fat. I ain't on y'all side.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Okay.
- 48:25Speaker 13: Well, I'm still trying to figure out why you calling me?
- 48:28Speaker 10: Because she's been making the dressing for ten years, like
- 48:31Speaker 10: I said, and I mean it's been discussed.
- 48:34Speaker 13: So I don't even know why why you're calling me.
- 48:35Speaker 13: I don't even know you.
- 48:37Speaker 12: Okay, Well, what I'm trying to explain to you just
- 48:39Speaker 12: right here is dad, they got so y'all ain't got
- 48:42Speaker 12: to worry with bringing the dressing. They got somebody gonna bring.
- 48:45Speaker 12: They got somebody down here that's gonna cook it. So
- 48:48Speaker 12: in other word, you know, if you can tell Miss Prayers,
- 48:50Speaker 12: she ain't got to worry about the dressing this year.
- 48:53Speaker 10: So you want me to tell my mama after she's
- 48:55Speaker 10: been making dressing for ten years that y'all say, y'all
- 48:58Speaker 10: ain't worried about it. She shouldn't have to make this
- 49:00Speaker 10: year because we're driving now. We drive every year, so
- 49:03Speaker 10: I'm not gonna do that to her.
- 49:04Speaker 13: So, I mean, I don't I don't even know who
- 49:07Speaker 13: you are to be calling me anyway?
- 49:08Speaker 10: Why getting somebody calling me.
- 49:10Speaker 13: That I know regarding this?
- 49:11Speaker 12: Okay, okay, you gunner right, I am blunder, all right, listen,
- 49:15Speaker 12: let me say this because I don't mind saying what
- 49:18Speaker 12: what everybody thinking? What most people don't want to say.
- 49:21Speaker 12: Let me just say this right here. Really, what's going
- 49:24Speaker 12: on is just right here. A lot of people in
- 49:26Speaker 12: the family, you know, don't really don't don't really like
- 49:32Speaker 12: Miss Purrs dressing.
- 49:37Speaker 10: Benjamin, who else are you supposed to be? Let me
- 49:40Speaker 10: friend something there, Ma, Mama gonna make your dressing. You
- 49:44Speaker 10: gonna keep that, and we ain't bringing that on with us.
- 49:47Speaker 10: So you can tell your family that I said that
- 49:49Speaker 10: because you understand me.
- 49:51Speaker 12: I mean, first of all, you got to understand that
- 49:54Speaker 12: I'm bringing news that that people don't them voted on

- 50:12Speaker 13: gonna go eat it?
- 50:13Speaker 12: Okay, we see right there? Why why if people don't
- 50:16Speaker 12: like the dressing, Glinda, why you want to make submit

- 50:52Speaker 12: Okay, okay, right there, listen, And I know this might
- 50:56Speaker 12: be hard for you to understand what you grew up
- 50:59Speaker 12: with liking everybody else.

- 51:23Speaker 10: I got to say, because you're not gonna hurt my
- 51:25Speaker 10: mama feeling.
- 51:26Speaker 12: Okay, there ain't nobody to try. That's why I'm trying
- 51:28Speaker 12: to tell you to tell her don't make it now,
- 51:30Speaker 12: so she don't even bring it down.

- 56:52Speaker 1: you don't want me saying nothing.

- 56:56Speaker 3: Certainly you mean you mean, you mean don't want you
- 56:58Speaker 3: saying nothing like now when she's to be reading the letter, you.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Don't like me?
- 57:03Speaker 7: Listen all right, subject, we have a big problem sys.
- 57:10Speaker 7: Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been divorced for four years and
- 57:13Speaker 7: my seven year old child is caught up in a
- 57:15Speaker 7: dysfunctional mess with me and my ex husband. After my divorce,
- 57:20Speaker 7: I found out that my older sister was having an
- 57:23Speaker 7: affair with my husband. Throughout the divorce. She was my
- 57:27Speaker 7: rock and I turned to her for advice. Since she's
- 57:31Speaker 7: been divorced three times, all of the signs were there
- 57:34Speaker 7: that they could have been messing around, but I was
- 57:37Speaker 7: going through hell, so I didn't notice. My sister had
- 57:40Speaker 7: started calling me at work a lot, and I thought
- 57:43Speaker 7: it was to check on me, but I found out
- 57:45Speaker 7: later that she was making sure I was at work
- 57:48Speaker 7: so she could be alone with my husband in our bed.
- 57:53Speaker 7: When it all came out, I felt so stupid. It
- 57:56Speaker 7: seemed as if my husband was relieved to give me
- 57:59Speaker 7: the detail. Well, fast forward to present day, my sister
- 58:04Speaker 7: lives with my ex husband and they are planning to
- 58:06Speaker 7: get married. This has torn up my entire family. My
- 58:11Speaker 7: son knows that his mommy and his auntie don't get along,
- 58:14Speaker 7: but he does not know why. He constantly asks me
- 58:18Speaker 7: why his auntie lives with his daddy instead of me
- 58:21Speaker 7: and him living with his daddy. All I told him
- 58:25Speaker 7: is that his auntie hurt his mommy really bad. I
- 58:29Speaker 7: have never said anything negative about his daddy to him.
- 58:33Speaker 7: He's too young to understand. I have told my ex
- 58:36Speaker 7: that our son does not need to stay with him
- 58:38Speaker 7: right now because it's confusing to him. My ex is
- 58:42Speaker 7: so very nasty towards me and still has no remorse
- 58:46Speaker 7: for what he's done, so he insists that he gets
- 58:48Speaker 7: weekend visits visitations. For four years, I've been bitter and
- 58:53Speaker 7: angry and want to hurt both of them. Someone mentioned
- 58:56Speaker 7: counseling to me, but I need a little more than that.
- 58:59Speaker 7: I need my life and in my son's life. How
- 59:02Speaker 7: can we move on from this and be happy? Wow,
- 59:07Speaker 7: you're a really good person to not have, you know,
- 59:10Speaker 7: done something physical and violent to both of them. I
- 59:14Speaker 7: must tell you some sort you know even if it's
- 59:17Speaker 7: at a low level, some sort. I mean, I really
- 59:20Speaker 7: have to commend you for that. I'm a person, I'm
- 59:23Speaker 7: a woman that has two brothers. I always wanted sisters
- 59:26Speaker 7: because I always, you know, just wanted that closeness. She
- 59:30Speaker 7: could be my bff, we could bond all of that.
- 59:33Speaker 7: But clearly this is not the case in your situation
- 59:37Speaker 7: with you and your sister. I mean, she's ratchet and trifling,
- 59:40Speaker 7: she really is. I mean, calling your job to see
- 59:43Speaker 7: if you were at work so she could be with
- 59:45Speaker 7: your husband and your bed. Now she's living with him.
- 59:48Speaker 7: You divorced because he was chead. This is just awful.
- 59:51Speaker 7: I mean, and I can imagine how this has torn
- 59:54Speaker 7: your family apart, and he doesn't seem to care your
- 59:57Speaker 7: ex husband. What affect the has on your seven year
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: old son. That's really where your focus should be. How
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: is he going to come out of all of this?
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: So to you, I got to tell you you got
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: to be strong right now for the both of you,
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: because this kid is confused. Okay, so Daddy's not living
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: with us, Mommy, but he is still in the family
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: because he's living with Auntie. Now, can you imagine how
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: confusing that is?
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: For a child.
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: And then your ex husband wants visitation on the weekend,
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: so he's going to be over there still with his daddy,
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: your sister who now might be his stepmom slash auntie.
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: I mean, the confusion and craziness of it, of all
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: of this. But you know, he's going to find out
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: she's been divorced three times. He's going to find out
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: why in just a few short minutes he will be
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: I'm sure ex husband number four when this is all
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: over with, because she is trifling, she is ratchet, you're old,
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: their sister. I mean, of all the men in the world,
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: she goes after your your man, your husband, I mean,
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: and right in your face.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Yeah, but how do you get through it? This is
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: a tough one right here.
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: I'm gonna have to tell you if you can, yes,
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: I want you to go to some counseling for sure,
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: for sure for you and your son. And this is hard.
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: You're gonna have to try to find it in your
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: heart to forgive them in this situation, because that's one
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: of the cleanest ways you can move on with your life.
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: I mean, that's hard. If you can. You know, I
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: didn't say forget, but you're gonna have to try and
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: forgive them if you can. That's what I have for you, Steve.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: All Right, before I read through this letter, I want
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: to make this statement right here that nothing I'm about
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: to say is what I really want to say.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Nothing. Nothing.
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: You want to cuss, don't you.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: It's not so much to cuss, but you do.
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: Though.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: What I want to do to the both of them,
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: I can't say on the radio or recommend. So let
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: me take this approach to this. This woman's been divorced
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: and she's got a seven year old that caught up
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: in this dysfunctional mess her ex.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Husband after your divorce.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: After the divorce, Now this is after divorce, you find
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: out that my oldest sister was having an affair with
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: my husband. Okay, so now you found this out after divorce.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: This is your saving grace in this whole thing that
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: you found out after you got the divorce. God spared
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: you knowing this during for a particular reason. And you
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: turn to her for advice because she been divorced three
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: times and she did something to make you think she
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: was Okay. When I come back, I'm gonna tell you
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: the grace and all of this that you have there
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: is an upside.
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: Okay, Steve, hang on, we'll have part two of your
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: response coming up in twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:03:08Speaker 7: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Around
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: the holidays. It's hard to find the right gifts, but
- 1:03:20Speaker 7: you know, it's even harder getting the right gift. But
- 1:03:24Speaker 7: get this, Verizon's got the perfect solve for both. They
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: have incredible gift bundles. You get the latest phone with
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: a new line on my plan and a brand new
- 1:03:35Speaker 7: smartwatch and tablet, no trade in needed. You can give
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: a couple away and get yourself one two, or you
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: can keep them all to yourself. No one has to know.
- 1:03:45Speaker 7: Stop by your local Verizon. All right, Steve, come on,
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: let's recap today's strawberry letter. We have a problem sis.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: This woman been divorced four years, got to seven year
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: old child who's in this dysfunctional mess husband. She found
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: out after the divorce, that found out that her oldest
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: sister was having an affair with the husband that you
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: got the divorce from. Now, there's a reason why you
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: didn't know this during because that would have been gut wrenching.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure it is now, But at least you
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: got the divorce.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: Now, during the divorce, she was your rock and you
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: turned to her for advice, you know, because she been
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: divorced three times. I don't know what advice you get
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: from somebody that's been divorced three times, except especially when
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: you're going through a divorce, except.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Just how to get through divorcing.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: That's the best advice, Especially when you find out that
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: all the signs that were there that they had been
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: messing around, but you didn't notice.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Your sister was calling you at work.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: You thought it was a check on you, but you
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: found out she was making sure you was at work
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: so she could be along with my husband.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: In our bed. Okay, now that's trifling. Let me tell
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: you what's wrong here.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: You have discovered after the marriage that two of the
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: most despicable, trifling people were.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: In your life.
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: You had a bad husband, you got a bad sister,
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: and it's led to a bad situation. These two people
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: right here are the worst of the worst. The blessing
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: is you got a chance to get away from one
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: of them. Now, the problem with siblings is you don't
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: get to pick them. You're born with them. Because your
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: sisters don't mean you have to be friends. You and
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: your sister are not friends. Now, Shirley said, a good thing.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: Shirley said, you have to forgive. I don't know how
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: you forgive this right here, but you do have to
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: move on from it now. When it all came out,
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: you say you felt stupid, and then it seemed as
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: if my husband was relieved to give you the details.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Well, number one, he had been living a lie.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: So giving you the details also was to make you
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: feel a couple of things. Number one like something was
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: your fault, and number two, it was your sister's fault.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: See dudes that open up about stuff like this, it's
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: to say to him, some of this, if I hadn't
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: been around in this situation with you and your family,
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: it were half of it is your fault and the
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: rest of it is your sister's fault. Now fast forward
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: to present day. Your sister lived with your ex husband
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: and they planning on getting married. How you think that's
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: gonna work? As surely pointed out, she'd been divorced three
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: times and she then slept with her sister's husband.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: What type of blessing you think fit to be on
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: this mess? Right here? Thank God you out of it.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: See, oftentimes when God pulls us through stuff, we mess
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: up by that back in the stuff. Well, now your
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: son is another problem. He knows that his mommy and
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: his auntie don't get along. Well, that's cool, you can
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: explain that. Quit taking him over there. He constantly asked
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: me why has auntie lived with his daddy? Though that's
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: a little bit of trouble. And if he's seven, he
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: going to school, somebody else gonna ask to instead of
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: you wants to know instead of why you and him
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: don't live with your daddy. I told him that his
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: auntie hurt his mommy really bad. I've never said anything
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: negative about his daddy to him. He's too young to understand.
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: I've told my ex that our son does not need
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: to stay with him right now because it's confusing to him,
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: which is a true statement. But now he has no
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: relationship with his father, which is probably worse.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: So I don't know that.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: Since this has caused some confusion in him as to
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: why his daddy is staying with his auntie and not
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: staying with him and his mama, that confusion is going
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: to exist whether he's his dad or not. But him
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: not seeing his father he needs that. He may not
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: be a good husband, he could be a good father.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: Though my ex is so very nasty towards me and
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: still has no remorse for what he's done. Well, he's
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: nasty towards you because that's a defense mechanism. He got
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: to be nasty towards you because you have every right
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: to be nasty towards him. But kindness kills babies. Or
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: if you were to just be kind to him and
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: his ex wife, him and your sister, it would kill him. Now,
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: it's gonna take a lot for you, and I'm not
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: sure you the person that has that, because for years
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: I've been bitter and angry and I want to hurt
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: both of them. See, somebody told you that you should
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: go to counseling, and you really should, because you need
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: to talk over this with somebody to discuss your feelings.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: But I need a little more than that. Well, the
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: only thing more than that is God.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: See, And the one thing I'm gonna tell you, some
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: old people say sometimes you got to let go and
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: let God.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: God.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: You gotta take this situation that you're going through that's
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: bigger than anything any of us have for you, and
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: you got to turn it over to God. I ain't joking, man,
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: You really got to turn this one over to God
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: because you need peace in your life. And I know
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: no better way to get peace in your life through
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: a relationship with God.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: I don't know a better way.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: It's my peace in my life and in your son's life.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: How can we move on from this and be happy?
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: You move on to it because He got you out
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: of it. Stop dabbling in it. You got to play
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: the game now, Okay, this is your daddy boom and
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: separate yourself. You gotta get to that point that you're
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: gonna lose your mind. You need counseling and you need prayer.

- 1:10:44Speaker 7: So Thanksgiving hosting mistakes you don't want to make now.
- 1:10:47Speaker 7: Check these out. Whether it's your first time hosting Thanksgiving
- 1:10:51Speaker 7: or you've been doing it for years, you can learn
- 1:10:54Speaker 7: from the mistakes of Thanksgiving paths. Number one topping the list.
- 1:10:59Speaker 7: If it ain't, don't fix it. This means don't use
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: Thanksgiving to test out new recipes. Just stick to what
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: you know. Just stick to what you know work, all right,
- 1:11:10Speaker 7: Basic dressing, the mac and cheese, all of it.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: To do list so we can get to the real
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: this year.
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: Okay. Number two, Tell guests what to bring, and be
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: very specific.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: If you tell them to bring whatever they like, you
- 1:11:26Speaker 7: could end up with twenty five bottles of wine, a
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: gas station package of cheese and crackers. You know you
- 1:11:33Speaker 7: never know what you're gonna get. You just never know,
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: So be specific when you tell guests that keep the
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: kids entertained and mess free, all right, make sure of that.
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: No slime, no legos, people walking stepping on you know,
- 1:11:48Speaker 7: hurting themselves.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: You know those will end up everywhere.
- 1:11:51Speaker 7: And the last one. Only allow people who can really
- 1:11:55Speaker 7: cook in the kitchen.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: First of all, don't bring a thing we don't need.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: You don't need, We got all it.
- 1:12:03Speaker 9: Second of all, don't bring no containers, empty containers for
- 1:12:06Speaker 9: you to take something back.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: You ain't taking nothing back because you ain't bring nothing.
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: But to bring nothing.
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: For thirty third, you're leftover.
- 1:12:15Speaker 12: Uh huh.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: You are only allowed one to go plate. And when
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: you put the fall on top of it, it must
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: be level, no valleys, can't be no mountain and then
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: wrapped up.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Yeah, here go another rule.
- 1:12:36Speaker 11: You can't get a second plate to everybody eight see
- 1:12:40Speaker 11: you back in their folk call the Jordan ain't got
- 1:12:43Speaker 11: here yet.
- 1:12:44Speaker 9: Okay, okay, okay, here there. This is how you know
- 1:12:47Speaker 9: when the first football game is over. Your time here
- 1:12:53Speaker 9: is over?
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: What you're putting them out. Yeah, that's it. One game
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: you one game that it's two games on Thanksgiving. I
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: think it's three. You go nothing.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Be in here cutting on this sweet potato pie to
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: big Mama, say so, yeah, just be in here cutting
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: no pie. Big Mama ain't told nobody to cut the pie.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: Cutting the pie for here, the pie cutting tie.
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: Angry things?
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Give me true you want for the kids?
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Kids is easy?
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: Six y'all behind down, that's it. Get up, just get up.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: We're fixing the kids plate.
- 1:13:33Speaker 9: They don't fix their own plate, and they're gonna eat
- 1:13:35Speaker 9: all of it or we're gonna whoop you go.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Instance, We're gonna stop making that ragged yello mole. Don't
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Nobody won't it, Yeah, yello mo with the milk in it,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: don't Nobody won't shut over the.
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: Thanks guys, angry Thanksgiving. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:13:59Speaker 7: Morning Show. Millions of Americans will be traveling by air
- 1:14:06Speaker 7: for Thanksgiving this year, and the TSA expects to be
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: X raying a lot of bags containing turkeys, side dishes,
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: and desserts. Okay, but while Unester may be allowed to
- 1:14:18Speaker 7: carry her famous sweet potato pie on the plane. There
- 1:14:21Speaker 7: are some food items that need to be checked with
- 1:14:23Speaker 7: the rest of the luggage. Okay, So here's a list
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: of Thanksgiving dinner items. Okay, cannot be one.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Person to be listening to this in particular.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: I don't know what you say, but if for Sean McDonald,
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: this listener, I want you to pay attention to this list,
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: go ahead, shirl.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: Anyway, this is a list that you can carry on.
- 1:14:45Speaker 7: You can carry on baked goods like dressing. It has
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: to be cooked, of course, baked mac and cheese. Any
- 1:14:51Speaker 7: kind of meat can be frozen, uncooked, cooked, and seasoning.
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: These are all solid foods, no liquids or jels. Now
- 1:14:59Speaker 7: here's the list the items that you must check in
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: your checked baggage.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: Gravy grave that, yeah, got to have it, go back,
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: it'll need to please. Cranberry sauce, cranberry got.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: To have God, hell, but I need whole berries. Though
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: you don't like it, now, cranberry, I like that?
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: Can I like that ocean spray? Can you don't like
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: I like that ocean spring? The whole berries eat the
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: other if it ain't nothing left, but I would prefer
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: the berries.
- 1:15:42Speaker 7: Okay, All right, liquor, liquor, gotta put that in your bag,
- 1:15:47Speaker 7: Gotta check check that anything else you guys can think
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: of that you can't care looking on.
- 1:15:52Speaker 9: Me to be close to that ghibli grave and that
- 1:15:54Speaker 9: bottle break and mess up and we cannot mess up
- 1:15:57Speaker 9: that ghiblit grat.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: One of your baked goods is listen to me carefully.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: If one of your baked goods and sweet potato and
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: punkin pie comebine, don't even pack it. I'm just telling you,
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: don't even This is personal advice for people I know.
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: Oh okay, don't nobody like that combination. It was a
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: bad idea.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: It was a bad idea. If you the person that
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: make the yams and you're putting.
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: Marsh roast marshmallows on top of it, keep yours at
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: the house too, Yes, calin.
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: What about the greens?
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Do I pack the greens or bring them all the plane?
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Because you know greens on the flight they got to
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: go under. You have to freeze that too. Got yeah,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: but greens thought out, ain't they good? What about the
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: potato setting?
- 1:16:58Speaker 9: Oh, put that in your backpack. That's got to be
- 1:17:02Speaker 9: in my backpack. I'm not letting that out of my.
- 1:17:06Speaker 7: To the house.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: That's a solid, but you're gonna have to be careful.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: Everybody can't make Yeah, it's Steve Robin Martin show man.
- 1:17:19Speaker 11: Listen man, ask you this. It's why you say God
- 1:17:22Speaker 11: did it again? You keep saying it every day. You
- 1:17:25Speaker 11: keep saying that over and over he did.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: He woke me up.
- 1:17:27Speaker 11: Got another opportunity. Well, how do you handle somebody's about saying,
- 1:17:30Speaker 11: how do you know it's God?
- 1:17:31Speaker 7: It could be me doing this?
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: Okay, keep on thinking that. You know, I'm not really
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: good at the witnessing part. Yeah, I'm more of a
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: witness through example and a witness through you know, you
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: look at me and see how good God is being.
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: But if you're defiant to that, I'm not really the
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: best Christian for that because I don't have time. I
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: just really don't have time to address a person that
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: thinks it's them and not God.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: I really don't know.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: I'm not gonna get into a debate with you about it,
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: as I oftentimes see people do. That's just not my
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: strong suit because me personally, if you don't believe in God,
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: I think you a fool.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: I think you're a complete idiotic fool.
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: I think you're an imbelcome but then I'm pretty sure
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: if you're an atheist, you must feel the same way
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: about me and other people.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Who believe in God. How can you believe in this
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: unseen power? How can you believe in this? I got
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: a lot of proof.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: But if you think I'm a fool and I think
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: you a fool, like I said on Piers Morgan that time,
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: I just don't think two fools ought to be standing
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: around talking.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: After you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:52Speaker 7: All right, So a woman with a handyman husband has
- 1:18:55Speaker 7: come up with a very clever way to earn some
- 1:18:58Speaker 7: extra money. She rents her husband out to other women.

- 1:19:37Speaker 1: What, I'm just going out right. There's a lot of

- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Yeah, with that white jump on.
- 1:23:44Speaker 7: Oh yeah, all right, would you rather take a winter
- 1:23:48Speaker 7: road trip with no heat in the car or no
- 1:23:50Speaker 7: seat belt?
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: J I'm gonna have to go with no seat.
- 1:23:55Speaker 8: I have to go with.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: A win and they'd dive he ain't got that heat
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: on it?
- 1:24:03Speaker 7: Yeah, first of all, it's winter. Let's start there. Which one, Steve?
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Oh, no seat belt? I ain't gonna hit nothing no more?
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: You said no seatbelt? Yeah, no seat belt?
- 1:24:18Speaker 7: Yeah gotta have Yeah? All right, guys, thank you. That's
- 1:24:21Speaker 7: today's round of would you rather? Coming up next? It
- 1:24:25Speaker 7: is our last break of the day, and we'll close
- 1:24:26Speaker 7: out the show with the one and only Steve Harvey
- 1:24:29Speaker 7: right after this.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: We grew up with no seat belt on call?
- 1:24:32Speaker 7: Hell yeah, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:38Speaker 7: Around the holidays, it's hard to find the right gifts,
- 1:24:41Speaker 7: but you know, it's even harder getting the right gift.
- 1:24:45Speaker 7: But get this. Verizon's got the perfect solve for both.
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: They have incredible gift bundles. You get the latest phone
- 1:24:53Speaker 7: with a new line on my plan and a brand
- 1:24:56Speaker 7: new smartwatch and tablet, no trade in needed.
- 1:24:59Speaker 8: You.
- 1:25:00Speaker 7: You can give a couple away and get yourself one too,
- 1:25:03Speaker 7: or you can keep them all to yourself. No one
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: has to know. Stop by your local verizons. It is
- 1:25:09Speaker 7: our last break of the day. It's been a good day,
- 1:25:13Speaker 7: fun day.
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: So I just want to share something with you for
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: my closing remarks, because I want to talk to people
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: who are not finding joy and waking up in the morning.
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: I want to talk to people who are not living
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: the life of excitement that they like to live. I'm
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: talking to that person, and it's a lot of them.
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: If you've lost your enthusiasm for life, if you're not
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: waking up excited to wake up, if you just you're
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: just intodulgums, you find yourself in the rut.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: I have some advice for you. Have some good news.
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: You can stop feeling dulgums the life like your life
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: is indulgence. You can stop feeling like your life is
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: in a rut. You can stop waking up on the
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: wrong side of the bed. You can stop waking up
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: and not being excited about waking up. Because I want
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: to share something to remember when you were a kid
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: and Christmas Eve came, you could not sleep man in
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: anticipation of what you might get under that tree. I
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: remember when it was time to take a field trip
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: in school the night before, Man, you could not wait
- 1:26:31Speaker 3: to wake up and get down there because you was
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: going on the field trip.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: I remember, Man, when they.
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: Moved gym to first class, I couldn't wait to go
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: to school so I could go to gym. It was
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: the one one class I was guaranteed I was gonna
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: get an A in because I just gym physical education.
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: So that's because I woke up with the expectations. All
- 1:26:57Speaker 3: of people have lost that as they've gotten older. Wake
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: up unenthusiastic about waking up. People wake up in the dulgeums.
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: People wake up on the wrong side of the bed.
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: People wake up man, just like they. Life is in
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: a rut. I have a solution for you. If you've
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: lost your enthusiasm and you don't look or expect anything,
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: that's the problem.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: It's just like when you were a kid.
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: So if you've lost your enthusiasm for waking up, it's
- 1:27:27Speaker 3: because when you're waking up, you're not looking for anything.
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: You don't have anything that you're expecting. You think there's
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: nothing on the other side of this daylight called morning. Well,
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: I have a solution for that. Since you used to
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: be so excited at Christmas. Used to be so excited
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: on the field trip. Used to be so excited to
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: go on a date. Used to be so excited man,
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: to go to this class and had this little girl
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: or this little boy in it. So excited when you
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: were by to buy your car, so excited when you
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: was These are things, man, your first game, your first
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: sporting event, you played in, the first time, you cheered,
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: you so excited.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: Here's what you do.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: You should wake up in the morning to see what
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: God has for you. Are you listening to me? You
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: should wake up in the morning to see what God
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: has for you. See, she used to be enthusiastic because
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: you knew what was gonna happen. You thought about what
- 1:28:34Speaker 3: you get for Christmas. You thought about the field trip,
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: You thought about that new bike, you thought about buying
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: a car, you thought about the date. Well, God gives
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: you this gift every day he wakes you up. He
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: gives you a brand new twenty four. That's an incredible
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: gift to get every day, y'all. And the reason he
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: gives you that gift when he wakes you up is
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: because He's not through with you yet. I've said this
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: a thousand and times, so if now, if you can
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: understand this, start looking at it this way, that God
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: is not through with you yet. How about this, how
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: about when you wake up, you wake up to see
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: what God has for you. I promise you, if you
- 1:29:17Speaker 3: start waking up with the expectation, the enthusiasm to see what.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: God has for you, it'll change the way you wake up.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: I do it all the time. I wake up to
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: see what God has for me. I wake up to
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: see what God gonna do for me. And this is
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: for everybody. This ain't for the well off. Are the
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: people who are overly blessed. All of you are blessed
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: if you still here. But you got to change the
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: way you look at this gift call tomorrow, this gift
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: call this morning. Man, you have to wake up to
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: see what God has for you. If you start waking
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: up to see what God has for you, guess what's
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: gonna happen. He gonna show you, He gonna give it
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: to you. But if you don't live your life in
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: expectation that there is nothing to expect. All you got
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: to do is change that. Man, wake up to see
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: what God has for you. That a change your position
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: in life. Those are my perfect Mark, I hope you
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: got something from you. If you did, we'll do another
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: next tru. Okay, okay, talk to God everybody he'd loved to.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: Hear from you.
