- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them just like theming buck things. And it's not
- 0:19Speaker 1: me through good it. Steve has to mother for star.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Please don't joy joining me. You gotta use that turn
- 1:13Speaker 1: very You gotta turn to turn them out, turning. Got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out to turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now one It only Steve harvey Man got
- 2:09Speaker 1: a radio show. Real glad about it too, you know,
- 2:14Speaker 1: um um. I hope that God always keeps me in
- 2:19Speaker 1: the frame of frame of mind to try to be
- 2:22Speaker 1: sharing and try to be motivational, and even when it's
- 2:27Speaker 1: not felt or wanted by some people. I have people
- 2:32Speaker 1: around me who seem to not benefited off anything, and
- 2:37Speaker 1: I can sit with them and talk to them or
- 2:40Speaker 1: take meetings with them to try to encourage them, and
- 2:43Speaker 1: for whatever reason, you know, they want to just keep
- 2:45Speaker 1: going the way they're going. When you run into people
- 2:48Speaker 1: like that, you have to pray for them. You have
- 2:50Speaker 1: to just hope that one day that they release the
- 2:54Speaker 1: chains on their mind and open up your mind to
- 2:56Speaker 1: a new way of thinking. A couple of things I
- 2:58Speaker 1: wanted to go over with that I want you to
- 3:00Speaker 1: all today in terms of motivation, I want you to
- 3:05Speaker 1: be aware of statements or old sayings that have been
- 3:10Speaker 1: created that you hear over the course of time, and
- 3:14Speaker 1: you may be applying them to your life. And I
- 3:17Speaker 1: want you to be careful of some of them because
- 3:20Speaker 1: some of these old sayings, man, are not designed for
- 3:25Speaker 1: people who are dreamers, are not designed for people who
- 3:30Speaker 1: have any aspirations of being extraordinary. These are not designs
- 3:36Speaker 1: or sayings that people who want to be extremely successful
- 3:40Speaker 1: at anything or have high aspirations to put these sayings
- 3:45Speaker 1: into your life. Let me give you an example. Statistics
- 3:51Speaker 1: say that's it. That's the one who want you to
- 3:55Speaker 1: be careful about statistics, say be very careful of stats.
- 4:04Speaker 1: When a person says, you know statistics, say one out
- 4:07Speaker 1: of every what see, listen to me. These are things
- 4:12Speaker 1: that sound like they're good, sound solid advice, but they're
- 4:16Speaker 1: setting you up for failure. And you can't adhere yourself
- 4:21Speaker 1: to a lot of these sayings that's been passed down
- 4:24Speaker 1: from generations and it's not scripture. It ain't in the
- 4:29Speaker 1: scripture nowhere that statistics say. It's just some people, and
- 4:34Speaker 1: a lot of people who have lost have come up
- 4:37Speaker 1: with these sayings to justify why they keep losing or
- 4:42Speaker 1: why they lost. When I was arst got started in
- 4:46Speaker 1: the business, there were more stand ups around now than
- 4:50Speaker 1: it is today because the comedy boom in eighty four
- 4:54Speaker 1: eighty five was it was gaining a lot of momentums,
- 4:59Speaker 1: comedy club, comedy nights everywhere. The statistic that a guy
- 5:03Speaker 1: told me, I told him I wanted to be on
- 5:08Speaker 1: the Johnny Carson Show, the Tonight Show. The guy said,
- 5:14Speaker 1: one out of every two thousand comedians ever make it
- 5:20Speaker 1: to the Tonight Show. Okay, Now, when he told us that,
- 5:27Speaker 1: some of the comedians in the room went, well, wow,
- 5:30Speaker 1: man's oh that's rough. Because a guy had also said
- 5:35Speaker 1: that there was approximately six thousand comedians in the country
- 5:40Speaker 1: at that time. I don't know if it was true.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I'm just telling you guys out the sputing numbers. I
- 5:44Speaker 1: have no idea how many it was. But he said
- 5:48Speaker 1: one in every two thousand will make it to the
- 5:50Speaker 1: Tonight Show. And he let the air out of everybody
- 5:53Speaker 1: in the room button me. So every night before I
- 5:57Speaker 1: went on stage, I used to do this right here,
- 5:59Speaker 1: but thatapa bada la la la la Badampa ba la
- 6:06Speaker 1: la la da. That was the tonight theme song. I
- 6:10Speaker 1: was young, opening act nowhere near Hollywood, didn't. I was
- 6:14Speaker 1: in Cleveland telling jokes at one night us. But that
- 6:17Speaker 1: was my thing because I was bent and determined that
- 6:21Speaker 1: if it's one in two thousand, okay, why don't I
- 6:24Speaker 1: just be the one? Be careful when people say statistics
- 6:28Speaker 1: say because they are set up to ful failure. If
- 6:31Speaker 1: you're gonna adhere to him, see that one in so
- 6:34Speaker 1: many it wasn't so many people win the lottery. But
- 6:36Speaker 1: if you don't play the lottery, you ain't gonna be
- 6:38Speaker 1: the one to hit. Now when the dude hit you
- 6:39Speaker 1: go while he was lucky, but he played. Here's another one.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Maybe it's not meant to be. All right, let's go
- 6:48Speaker 1: one step further. I guess it wasn't the Lord's will.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Don't you dare blame God for something you may have
- 6:57Speaker 1: not done yourself because you didn't get the proper education,
- 7:02Speaker 1: because you didn't do the things you were supposed to do,
- 7:05Speaker 1: because you didn't stay to the task because you quit,
- 7:09Speaker 1: turned around and went the other way. Now, maybe it's
- 7:12Speaker 1: not It wasn't the lord's will. These are all statements
- 7:16Speaker 1: that sound like sound advice, but they ain't all the time,
- 7:21Speaker 1: got nothing to do with you. Stop letting these old
- 7:26Speaker 1: fogy sayings get in your way of what can happen
- 7:29Speaker 1: in your life. Don't put all your eggs in one basket?
- 7:36Speaker 1: Who came up with this? Who came up with the
- 7:40Speaker 1: If you don't pour all your efforts into one thing,
- 7:44Speaker 1: how are you gonna be great at that one thing?
- 7:47Speaker 1: If Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had
- 7:52Speaker 1: not played basketball sun up to sundown. Magic Johnson didn't
- 7:57Speaker 1: go to Michigan to get an education. Land Burry didn't
- 8:02Speaker 1: go to Indiana to get an education. These casts was bawling.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Michael Jordan didn't go to North Carolina get an education.
- 8:10Speaker 1: They went to play ball. They went to do one thing.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Tiger Woods didn't go to Stanford to get an education.
- 8:18Speaker 1: He went to play golf. As soon as he got
- 8:20Speaker 1: good enough, he'd gone. These are guys that put all
- 8:24Speaker 1: their eggs in one basket. See what's what's cool with
- 8:28Speaker 1: putting all your eggs in one basket. Is you now
- 8:31Speaker 1: can maximize your effort and laser beam what you're doing.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Your problem is all you gotta do is make sure
- 8:39Speaker 1: what is your basket made out of. If your basket
- 8:43Speaker 1: is made out of faith, hope, hard work, and belief,
- 8:48Speaker 1: then guess what, that's a good basket. I'm dumping all
- 8:51Speaker 1: mine in it because ever since I was a young dude,
- 8:55Speaker 1: I've been telling jokes. One thing, one thing only. Even
- 8:58Speaker 1: when he got ugly and I was living in a car,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I never quit telling them jokes. Man. I just kept
- 9:03Speaker 1: believing that them jokes was gonna pay me one day,
- 9:06Speaker 1: and I'll be dog gone if it didn't. I ain't
- 9:08Speaker 1: take no time off. Go work at the Walmart, give
- 9:11Speaker 1: me a job, go back to forward and beg for
- 9:13Speaker 1: my job back. Hey man, put all your eggs in
- 9:17Speaker 1: a basket. Just make sure that your basket is made
- 9:20Speaker 1: up of faith, hope, belief, hard work. Your basket woven
- 9:26Speaker 1: by God. What you're tripping for, you're defeating yourself. Where
- 9:30Speaker 1: is your faith? Where is your belief? Where is your trust?
- 9:34Speaker 1: At one point in time, you got to believe that
- 9:37Speaker 1: God could do what he say gonna do because he
- 9:39Speaker 1: didn't done it for others, He'll most certainly do it
- 9:41Speaker 1: for you. Be careful of these sayings that's out here,
- 9:45Speaker 1: that's aligned by losers and people to justify why they
- 9:49Speaker 1: are not succeeded. Don't apply this stuff to your life.
- 9:51Speaker 1: And it ain't got nothing to do with you. You're
- 9:53Speaker 1: gonna mess yourself up, all right. Okay, you're listening show,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, Hi yay, hi hey, well about to

- 12:48Speaker 1: before anything happens. But I just want him to get
- 12:50Speaker 1: the feeling, know what it's like to have the hounds

- 13:39Speaker 1: the cello with the Chief Love Officer of Steve Harvey.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 13:47Speaker 1: coming up next hour in YC. That is New York
- 13:50Speaker 1: City mayoral candidate Ray McGuire will be our special guest.
- 13:53Speaker 1: We cannot wait to talk to him, but right now
- 13:57Speaker 1: it is time, yeah for the cello Chief Love Officer
- 14:01Speaker 1: Steve Harvey in the building him. Yeah, all right, So
- 14:07Speaker 1: here we go. This one is from Tanjula in Mississippi.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Tanjula writes, I'm a thirty two year old professional woman
- 14:15Speaker 1: by day and at night I'm an escort. I keep
- 14:19Speaker 1: a low profile in my city and go to the
- 14:21Speaker 1: neighboring city for my escort business. I've been dating a
- 14:25Speaker 1: guy for almost three months, and he thinks I'm a
- 14:27Speaker 1: school teacher and model because I met him at a
- 14:30Speaker 1: casting call for models for a music video. I need
- 14:33Speaker 1: my side gig to pay off my student loans. But
- 14:37Speaker 1: I know this guy won't like it. Should I be
- 14:39Speaker 1: honest with him or keep the lie going? Oh? Wait
- 14:44Speaker 1: a minute, what? So she says she does what in
- 14:48Speaker 1: a daytime? She's a professional woman, she says, she didn't
- 14:51Speaker 1: say specifically, but she's an escort. Yeah at nice. So
- 14:57Speaker 1: what is the last she's trying to keep that she's
- 15:01Speaker 1: in schort, that she's Wait a minute, she's an escort
- 15:04Speaker 1: to pay off her student loans. Well, wait a minute,
- 15:07Speaker 1: how did he meet her? Um? It says she she
- 15:12Speaker 1: met him. Um, she's been dating him. He thinks school teacher.
- 15:17Speaker 1: She thinks he's a school teacher at a model because
- 15:19Speaker 1: she met him at a casting call for models. Oh
- 15:23Speaker 1: a video? Oh okay, so he didn't call the escort
- 15:27Speaker 1: service and meet him, No, sir, Oh okay, he met
- 15:30Speaker 1: her at the thing. So he thinks well he doesn't
- 15:33Speaker 1: know uh the junk the jello man. Oh wait, dude,
- 15:41Speaker 1: do her name sound familiar to you? Ain't like her?
- 15:46Speaker 1: Damn name was Denise and I missed. Don't get bad. Well,
- 15:52Speaker 1: first of all, change your damn name. Yeah, yeah, everybody
- 15:57Speaker 1: gonna know who you are. Your name' at the escort service,
- 16:00Speaker 1: all down at the school board to googlers. Very rare.
- 16:06Speaker 1: So look, look, hey, look, young sister. You can't be
- 16:11Speaker 1: so desperate to pay off your student loans that you
- 16:14Speaker 1: will do anything. Your reputation in your life forward after
- 16:19Speaker 1: this is far more important than the present. And always
- 16:22Speaker 1: understand that what you're doing the dog today gonna come
- 16:25Speaker 1: out in the light tomorrow and it may ruin an
- 16:28Speaker 1: opportunity with a career move or a man. So if
- 16:32Speaker 1: I were you, I would double think this escort service business.
- 16:35Speaker 1: It's paying off student loans, ain't that important? They got
- 16:38Speaker 1: all types of things available because of COVID. Now with
- 16:41Speaker 1: student loans, you need to go online and research some
- 16:44Speaker 1: of this stuff. They got programs and help you pay
- 16:46Speaker 1: off student loans. You ain't got to sell yourself to
- 16:48Speaker 1: pay off no damn loan. Think about your life moving
- 16:51Speaker 1: forward to thirty two. You're an attractive girl, so you
- 16:54Speaker 1: think you should she should be honest with him. No,
- 16:56Speaker 1: hell no, no go. Your job is doing today. You're
- 17:04Speaker 1: a professional woman. That's your damn job. Do not tell
- 17:08Speaker 1: this man you an escort. Okay, just get out to
- 17:11Speaker 1: escort business. This ain't the time for the truth. Well,
- 17:15Speaker 1: y'all keep getting this phone that gets man. Now this truth,
- 17:20Speaker 1: y'all be trying to tell nobody. Want to hear that?
- 17:25Speaker 1: Do be liking you? Now? You're gonna tell him you
- 17:27Speaker 1: a damn escort, even to take your meet his mama. Okay,
- 17:33Speaker 1: all right, all right, So we're moving on Ginger and Mobile, Alabama, says.
- 17:37Speaker 1: My husband and I bought a town home and a
- 17:40Speaker 1: part of town with a lot of young families. We're
- 17:43Speaker 1: in our early sixties and downsized when we retired. The
- 17:46Speaker 1: family's two doors down has a daughter that's a senior
- 17:49Speaker 1: in high school, and she's got a boyfriend that's always
- 17:52Speaker 1: around Saturday. My husband and I saw this girl and
- 17:55Speaker 1: her boyfriend making out in the car parked in front
- 17:59Speaker 1: of our house. My husband is the type to mind
- 18:02Speaker 1: is business, but not if it's in front of our house.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Should we tell her parents? About this. No, that ain't
- 18:09Speaker 1: your business. You ain't never been in house. That ain't
- 18:13Speaker 1: your damn business. What what is you talking about? Mind
- 18:18Speaker 1: your damn business? Y'all want to move your old ass
- 18:21Speaker 1: down there with all the young people. Now, if you
- 18:24Speaker 1: should have stayed your ass where old people can't climb
- 18:27Speaker 1: in back seats and do nothing? No, tell tell her
- 18:32Speaker 1: parents what stop? It ain't your business. Your husband is
- 18:36Speaker 1: a type to mind his business. You should too, And
- 18:40Speaker 1: what good is telling it gonna do? All they're gonna
- 18:42Speaker 1: do is go somewhere else and sneak. You can't raise
- 18:45Speaker 1: that little girl. That ain't your business. The hell is
- 18:51Speaker 1: you over here? Fall? If they downside? Downside? Go to
- 18:55Speaker 1: senior citizens home? If you batdamn old god, Philly, we're
- 19:00Speaker 1: moving on. Candice in Philly, says my mother and my
- 19:04Speaker 1: crazy aunt maybe sharing a man. My aunt and my
- 19:07Speaker 1: stepdad have an inappropriate friendship. My aunt introduced him to
- 19:11Speaker 1: my mom, but I think they used to mess around
- 19:14Speaker 1: before that. We all went to my aunt's house last
- 19:17Speaker 1: month for a cookout and my aunt was sitting on
- 19:19Speaker 1: my stepdad's lap. I noticed her suddenly grinding on his lap,
- 19:24Speaker 1: and when she realized I saw it. She jumped up.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I told my mom what happened, and she said they
- 19:30Speaker 1: liked to joke around like that. How could my mom
- 19:33Speaker 1: be so blond? Cause your mama like jokes. She said,
- 19:40Speaker 1: they joking round. Yo, mama probably laughing her ass off somewhere.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Once again, If this ain't yo damn business, what is
- 19:52Speaker 1: wrong with these letters today? These grown ass people consisting adults? Yo,
- 20:00Speaker 1: Hunt was on hush sister's husband's lap grinding, saw you
- 20:06Speaker 1: and jumped up. Now he had to stay seated obvious reason.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Then you didn't already went and told your mama, and
- 20:19Speaker 1: your mama told you they joke around like that. Your
- 20:22Speaker 1: mama might already know what's going on. Your mama might
- 20:25Speaker 1: be playing as something. Stay wise, your young ass murder,
- 20:31Speaker 1: that's right to see. The other people was too old
- 20:33Speaker 1: to be in this, and now you're too young to
- 20:35Speaker 1: be in the worst damn clo question we knows to
- 20:43Speaker 1: ask people. Everybody mind your own business, man, your damn
- 20:48Speaker 1: business right in here, about something about your life? Coming up?
- 20:53Speaker 1: Thank you? Philo coming up next enough, you tell him
- 20:55Speaker 1: he's run that prank back right after this. You're listening,
- 20:59Speaker 1: say morning, Shout New York City mayoral candidate Ray McGuire.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Get used to hearing that name. Ray McGuire will be
- 21:08Speaker 1: our special guest. We cannot wait to talk to him.
- 21:11Speaker 1: That is coming up. But right now it is time
- 21:13Speaker 1: for the nephew and run that prank back what you
- 21:16Speaker 1: got for us, nep We need to borrow cast. Can
- 21:19Speaker 1: we use your cast? Going do a little something and
- 21:26Speaker 1: you let me use your cast? Get to like, get
- 21:28Speaker 1: on my feet, come on, let's go. Ca Hello, I'm
- 21:34Speaker 1: trying to reach Vicky. This is Vicky. Hey, Vicky, how
- 21:38Speaker 1: are you doing? Are you the Are you the niece
- 21:41Speaker 1: of uh? I think it's ain't ain't your aunt? Yes? Okay?
- 21:50Speaker 1: And you're you know you aren't passed away? I mean
- 21:52Speaker 1: I mean years ago, y'all are passed. It was about
- 21:55Speaker 1: five years ago. Okay, listen, I don't know. We're here
- 21:58Speaker 1: at the funeral home. My my, my sister just passed away,
- 22:03Speaker 1: and they gave me your phone number, did you guys?
- 22:07Speaker 1: We're going through a little bit of a situation here,
- 22:09Speaker 1: did you guys? Aren't you know your aunt was a
- 22:12Speaker 1: heavy set woman? Is that right? Yes? She was? Okay,
- 22:16Speaker 1: Now they had to did they have to put her
- 22:18Speaker 1: in a in a Did they have a bill of
- 22:20Speaker 1: a special casket for her? Yeah, okay, that's what we're
- 22:25Speaker 1: kind of going through with my sister. We ordered a
- 22:28Speaker 1: special casket for for for my sister, and I'm assuming
- 22:33Speaker 1: this is the same thing that you guys went through.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I called several of her children, but I wasn't able
- 22:39Speaker 1: to get in touch with anybody. But the funeral home
- 22:41Speaker 1: actually had your name on file as well, so they
- 22:44Speaker 1: gave me your number where I would be able to
- 22:45Speaker 1: talk to you. Is that is that? Okay? Yeah, that's okay,
- 22:49Speaker 1: you can speak to me, but you know, let's things
- 22:52Speaker 1: to be a problem. Well listen, uh we we The
- 22:55Speaker 1: funeral is actually in two days, okay, and we ordered
- 22:59Speaker 1: one of those special caskets, but it doesn't look like
- 23:02Speaker 1: it's gonna be in for another week. So you know,
- 23:05Speaker 1: it's almost like we're gonna we're gonna we're not gonna
- 23:07Speaker 1: have a casket for her, um, you know, for the funeral.
- 23:12Speaker 1: And you know, like I said, the funeral home told
- 23:14Speaker 1: us about you know that you guys were the last
- 23:16Speaker 1: ones that ordered a casket of that size, and you know,
- 23:20Speaker 1: me and the rest of the family has been you know,
- 23:22Speaker 1: we're trying to figure out what to do and what
- 23:24Speaker 1: to do. Do you think it's any way possible we
- 23:28Speaker 1: can borrow the casket that your ain't is in, and
- 23:34Speaker 1: then when the casket comes in and we ordered, we
- 23:36Speaker 1: can put her in that casket and put her back
- 23:40Speaker 1: down to rest like she's always been. Do you think
- 23:43Speaker 1: that's excuse me? Hello, Hellolf? What exactly how are you
- 23:51Speaker 1: asking me? Well, what I'm saying is, do you think
- 23:54Speaker 1: we can borrow your ain't casket? Because you know, the
- 23:57Speaker 1: funerals in two days and the ask it is not
- 24:00Speaker 1: gonna be in in order for us to be able
- 24:03Speaker 1: to bury her in a in a casket for you know,
- 24:05Speaker 1: to accommodate her size. That's what I'm asking. What kind
- 24:09Speaker 1: of this you're talking about? First of all, who is this? Okay, No,
- 24:13Speaker 1: my name is Larry, Like I said, My name is Larry.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I got you, I got you guys. Like I said,
- 24:18Speaker 1: I tried to call some of her kids, but nobody
- 24:21Speaker 1: ever picked up when I called. Had her niece's number
- 24:25Speaker 1: on file too. You you are her niece, Vicky, right? Yes,
- 24:29Speaker 1: I am. Okay, That's what I'm saying. Do you think
- 24:32Speaker 1: that maybe you can talk to the children and see
- 24:35Speaker 1: if we can maybe use that particular casket. Okay, wait
- 24:39Speaker 1: a minute, what the talking about this? The first of all,
- 24:43Speaker 1: who who is this? You? You gotta be losing your
- 24:45Speaker 1: mind if you think I'm gonna let you big up
- 24:48Speaker 1: my any so just to bury yourself. But I understand
- 24:52Speaker 1: where you're coming from. But what I'm trying to say
- 24:54Speaker 1: is that we don't have a casket's big enough. And
- 24:56Speaker 1: they were they they let us know that you guys
- 24:58Speaker 1: were the last ones that had a a casket that
- 25:01Speaker 1: you know I'm gonna do with us. That'sh You don't
- 25:04Speaker 1: trust stuff figuring out have you lost you? No? No? Well, okay,
- 25:09Speaker 1: first of all, what I'm trying to do is this
- 25:11Speaker 1: the family been grieving pretty hard and I just wanted
- 25:13Speaker 1: to make sure that the funeral will be right. And
- 25:16Speaker 1: it ain't gonna be right, and we don't have that.
- 25:18Speaker 1: We don't bring my family gonna feel digging any of
- 25:21Speaker 1: you lost your They don't call me with this. Who
- 25:25Speaker 1: is the funeral home that gave you my number to
- 25:29Speaker 1: ask me to use the casket so you can bury
- 25:31Speaker 1: your sister? Who is the name of that person? I
- 25:34Speaker 1: can't remember, but it was it was a guy. The
- 25:36Speaker 1: funeral director let me know that you guys had went
- 25:39Speaker 1: through a situation where you had to bury your your
- 25:42Speaker 1: your your aunt. Like I said, I try to call
- 25:44Speaker 1: what's your name again? My name is Larry. Okay, Larry.
- 25:48Speaker 1: This is this is a stupid I don't know what.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Give you my phone number to call me asking you
- 25:53Speaker 1: just dune. Can you believe her? They called her asking
- 25:57Speaker 1: me to then bear it's here's some don't have a Cassie? Hello? No, no,
- 26:05Speaker 1: what i'nderstand that's your fault. No, I understand it's not
- 26:08Speaker 1: your fault. What I'm trying to say is will y'all
- 26:11Speaker 1: show some sympathy and some love for me and my
- 26:14Speaker 1: family going through because we don't have a casket, Like
- 26:17Speaker 1: I say, my tuster, my tister wasn't was you know?
- 26:19Speaker 1: Was it? If the heaven was a heavest walks God?
- 26:22Speaker 1: You know. My conduless go out to you and your family.
- 26:25Speaker 1: You know I'm trying to be as reserved as I
- 26:28Speaker 1: can with this whole situation. But do you understand what
- 26:31Speaker 1: kind of stupid you're asking me right now to actually
- 26:34Speaker 1: dig up my art? Whose army, who's been and what
- 26:37Speaker 1: out for fun? Years? Because bury your sister. Let me
- 26:43Speaker 1: let me ask you this. If this, if we you
- 26:47Speaker 1: that you ain't ain't gonna know she ain't gonna know
- 26:50Speaker 1: where you for you to say to me, But you stupid,
- 26:57Speaker 1: you're smoking on you smoking crack. I don't know. I
- 27:01Speaker 1: don't know more. First of all, you know what I
- 27:04Speaker 1: First of all, I appreciate you trying to work with me,
- 27:06Speaker 1: but I want to say this. You don't even have
- 27:08Speaker 1: the authority to make that decision if you give me
- 27:11Speaker 1: one of the numbers to one of your cousins. Because
- 27:15Speaker 1: I was really trying to be nice and be calm.
- 27:17Speaker 1: But guess what, we're not doing this, stupid. I'm trying
- 27:21Speaker 1: to be nice to you and tell and trying to
- 27:22Speaker 1: help you out. But no, you won't need to get
- 27:24Speaker 1: ignorant and ask stupid with you. I was trying to
- 27:27Speaker 1: be nice and sympathetic, but we're not doing it. I'm
- 27:30Speaker 1: not giving you the number. I got the authority to
- 27:32Speaker 1: tell you right now. No, we're not digging up so
- 27:36Speaker 1: you can bury your fluster. Okay, so so so so,
- 27:40Speaker 1: so that's just it. I can't talk to now one
- 27:43Speaker 1: that it now you aren't talking to know, but you're
- 27:44Speaker 1: talking to me. Okay, I got, I got, I got
- 27:47Speaker 1: something else. I need to tell you though, I need,
- 27:48Speaker 1: I need to tell you something else or you live,
- 27:50Speaker 1: but tell me. I want to tell you this. This
- 27:53Speaker 1: is nephew taught me from the Steve Harbin mart It's

- 28:28Speaker 1: I got oneman thing to ask you, baby, what is

- 31:11Speaker 1: And the first episode of the latest season of Lebron

- 31:18Speaker 1: impact the birth of his daughter, Blue Ivy had on him.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Would you say, Steve, Yeah, yeah. He did a cold
- 31:24Speaker 1: story about following DMX. It was very good, funny yeah,
- 31:29Speaker 1: oh jay Z, oh oh oh, okay, Well, well this
- 31:33Speaker 1: one's cute. This one's a cute story. On the show,
- 31:37Speaker 1: he shared that he didn't learn how to swim until
- 31:40Speaker 1: Blue was born and why you ask, Well, for jay Z,
- 31:44Speaker 1: it was a shift in perspective if she ever fell
- 31:46Speaker 1: into the water and I couldn't get her, I couldn't
- 31:48Speaker 1: even fathom the thought. He also says that his accomplishments
- 31:51Speaker 1: are no big deal to Blue. Telling the story of
- 31:55Speaker 1: when he received his nomination to the Rock and Roll
- 31:57Speaker 1: Hall of Fame back in February, he says he told
- 31:59Speaker 1: her this ain't no celebration, and YO, give me a kiss.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I'm in the Hall of Fame. He says, she just said,
- 32:06Speaker 1: my dad, not by Blue got a Grammy. She was like, yeah,
- 32:19Speaker 1: so so now you can tell the DMX story. Go ahead,

- 32:43Speaker 1: I thought that's where you was going. We didn't. I
- 32:44Speaker 1: ain't know. I didn't. I didn't hear the whole interview
- 32:46Speaker 1: with Blue Ivy story. That was cute. It was cute.
- 32:51Speaker 1: We like ignorance stuff on you, like like Blue Ivy
- 32:55Speaker 1: told her dad, I'm gonna tell you by Steve Okay,
- 33:00Speaker 1: I'm I'm for headlines. Go ahead, you do it, Na, gentlemen,
- 33:10Speaker 1: it is time for our headlines. Please welcome to san Trip, Okay.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Thank you very much. Well as promise, President Biden visit Tulsa,
- 33:18Speaker 1: Oklahoma yesterday. He spoke clearly as he mourned one of
- 33:21Speaker 1: the worst acts of racist murder in the US history,
- 33:24Speaker 1: the massacrel a hundred years ago of some three hundred
- 33:26Speaker 1: black men, women and children and what was then called
- 33:29Speaker 1: Black Wall Street. The history of what took place here
- 33:31Speaker 1: was told in silence, cloaked in darkness. But just because
- 33:36Speaker 1: history is silent, it doesn't mean that it did not
- 33:39Speaker 1: take place, and social studies teachers never taught it or
- 33:42Speaker 1: any of the massacres. Some twelve hundred black owned homes
- 33:45Speaker 1: businesses were looted and then burned to the ground by vicious,
- 33:48Speaker 1: jealous white mobs mobsters. The victims insurance claims were denied,
- 33:53Speaker 1: so over ten thousand residents were left destitute and homeless
- 33:55Speaker 1: and placed in internment camps. The President says, quote literal
- 33:58Speaker 1: hell was unleashed on that nighborhood. By the way, the
- 34:01Speaker 1: destruction of Blackwall Street was not the first or the
- 34:03Speaker 1: last massacre of upwardly mobile black Americans in this country.
- 34:07Speaker 1: There were two a dozen at least others, including Rosewood, Florida,
- 34:11Speaker 1: and Wilmington, North Carolina. And the object was always the same,
- 34:14Speaker 1: to keep African Americans living conditions below that of even
- 34:17Speaker 1: the lowest and dumbest whites. The usual reason used some
- 34:21Speaker 1: black man supposedly assaulted a white woman, which was usually,
- 34:23Speaker 1: if not always, a lie. I have a map marking
- 34:26Speaker 1: many of the mass murder sites on my Facebook page.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Check it out. One that's not on the map, though,
- 34:31Speaker 1: was the massacre in the town of pont San Puerto
- 34:33Speaker 1: Rico on March twenty first, nineteen thirty seven, where police
- 34:36Speaker 1: shot a peaceful protesters there, killing nineteen and entering over
- 34:40Speaker 1: two hundred. On another matter, the presidents still hoping to
- 34:43Speaker 1: work out a deal with the Republicans on infrastructure. Mister
- 34:46Speaker 1: Biden's schedule get together later today with West Virginia Republican
- 34:49Speaker 1: shelleymore Capital and last look. The Democrats wanted one point
- 34:53Speaker 1: seven trillion bucks to fix the nation's roads and bridges. Republicans, though,
- 34:57Speaker 1: offering only nine hundred twenty eight bi in with a
- 35:00Speaker 1: b dollars. A man who works for CNN who works
- 35:03Speaker 1: security for its broadcast in the wake of the murderer
- 35:06Speaker 1: of George Floyd, has followed civil rights lawsuit against two
- 35:09Speaker 1: white Minnesota state patrol officers, one male, one female, who
- 35:12Speaker 1: arrested him and held him for twenty hours. Michael Cooper
- 35:15Speaker 1: is black. He says he was standing among a bunch
- 35:17Speaker 1: of other credited news crews when he and the only Hispanic,
- 35:21Speaker 1: Omar Jimenez, were arrested. None of the white news crew
- 35:24Speaker 1: members was taken into custody. He wants a jury trial
- 35:27Speaker 1: and monetary damages and get this, are you listening? Sit down?
- 35:30Speaker 1: According to a Business Insider story, Donald Trump is telling
- 35:34Speaker 1: friends he's going to be reinstated as president in August.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Pro Trump is like that my pillow guy, Mike Lindell
- 35:40Speaker 1: had been pushing this new, baseless claim for months. The
- 35:43Speaker 1: New York Times reporter Maggie Harman says Trump's been telling
- 35:46Speaker 1: friends he will be a sitting president in a couple
- 35:48Speaker 1: of months, even though that's not how things work in
- 35:50Speaker 1: this country. And finally, when is coming back? The Atlantic
- 35:55Speaker 1: hurricane season officially started yesterday. Meteorologist are predicting as many
- 35:59Speaker 1: as twenty name storms between now and the end of November.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening, Hey, everybody,
- 36:09Speaker 1: I distinguished guests this morning. Is one of the highest
- 36:12Speaker 1: ranking and longest serving African American business executives on Wall Street.
- 36:18Speaker 1: He broke barriers by throwing open the doors of all
- 36:21Speaker 1: White Wall Street boardrooms and rolls to the top of
- 36:24Speaker 1: his profession while mentoring the next generation of leaders. And
- 36:28Speaker 1: last October, he announced that he was running for the
- 36:31Speaker 1: mayor of New York City, and he pledged to leave
- 36:34Speaker 1: the city into his greatest and most inclusive comeback in
- 36:37Speaker 1: the history. I'm gonna introduce him to y'all. I've known
- 36:41Speaker 1: him for years. This is a personal friend of mine.
- 36:45Speaker 1: I got him on the show because I'm vouching for
- 36:47Speaker 1: him and giving to him my one support, because I
- 36:50Speaker 1: know who this man really is. Please welcome to the show,
- 36:53Speaker 1: New York City mayoral candidate mister Ray McGuire. Welcome, Welcome
- 37:02Speaker 1: death to Steve Harvey's family. I'm live now, y'all. Listen, Yeah, bro,
- 37:09Speaker 1: you you fully lit? Now understand say it? Man. Ain't
- 37:13Speaker 1: nobody gonna plead us from where I come from Man
- 37:15Speaker 1: and they won't be okay. Yeah, And speaking of that,
- 37:19Speaker 1: because you're from Dayton, Ohio, four and a half miles
- 37:22Speaker 1: south of Cleveland. Man, I've been knowing you for a
- 37:24Speaker 1: long time. Man, you was raised by a single mother,
- 37:28Speaker 1: graduated from Harvard University with your degree, and then you
- 37:31Speaker 1: got an NBA, made you the first person in your
- 37:34Speaker 1: family to earn a degree. What motivated you, Ray MacGuire
- 37:39Speaker 1: to excel? You know, Steve, you talked about my mother.
- 37:42Speaker 1: My single mother raised me and my two brothers along
- 37:45Speaker 1: with my grandparents, and we had define foster children's siblings
- 37:50Speaker 1: in our home at any point time. And I can
- 37:53Speaker 1: remember mother raison, uh you know, working three jobs at
- 37:58Speaker 1: any point in time so she could make the end
- 38:00Speaker 1: met and she had to debate whether or not she's
- 38:01Speaker 1: going to put food on the table. Okay, the gas
- 38:04Speaker 1: and lecture fille tied and offered in the church. And
- 38:08Speaker 1: what motivated me was the only thing we had, the
- 38:11Speaker 1: only way out was education. Well, it was prayer. You know,
- 38:15Speaker 1: this is this's been a walk of faith from the start,
- 38:18Speaker 1: you know. You know I had to go to school
- 38:19Speaker 1: and I had to go to church. That's it. I
- 38:22Speaker 1: mean that that combination. Pretty potent combination, right Daniel, you know,
- 38:28Speaker 1: and I gotta tell you yeah, no, no, no, go ahead,
- 38:32Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, man, the in that combination. I
- 38:36Speaker 1: can remember my grandfather who who you know, got a
- 38:40Speaker 1: third grade education and learned to read by reading the Bible.
- 38:44Speaker 1: I can remember when I came home, actually when I
- 38:47Speaker 1: got into Harvard, and then important when I came home
- 38:50Speaker 1: from Harvard. And the first time I ever saw that
- 38:55Speaker 1: black man shared a cheer was when I showed him
- 38:59Speaker 1: that degree from Harvard. Man, can you imagine all those years,
- 39:03Speaker 1: all those years, right, Yeah, that that's that's that, that's
- 39:07Speaker 1: the type of thing that pushes you. Hey, Ray, hold
- 39:10Speaker 1: on one second, man, we're gonna take a break. We'll
- 39:12Speaker 1: be back with more of the new mayoral candidate for
- 39:15Speaker 1: the fabulous City of New York, New York City, future Mayor,
- 39:19Speaker 1: Ray McGuire. Right after this, you're listening. Hey, we're back, everybody,
- 39:27Speaker 1: and we're talking to one of the mayoral candidates to
- 39:30Speaker 1: become the next mayor of New York City, Ray McGuire. Now, Ray,
- 39:35Speaker 1: I've been I've been knowing you for a long time,
- 39:37Speaker 1: and so now we're running for the mayor of New
- 39:40Speaker 1: York City. You got a specific plan to renew small businesses,
- 39:46Speaker 1: to help unemployment, housing, public safety, education, the art. Let's
- 39:52Speaker 1: talk about what everybody is calling the Ray McGuire Comeback
- 39:56Speaker 1: Plan for New York City. Tell us about it. Yeah,
- 40:00Speaker 1: I call it the greatest, most inclusive, and I say
- 40:03Speaker 1: most inclusive by design, economic comeback planning, the history of
- 40:07Speaker 1: New York City. What's behind that is New York has
- 40:11Speaker 1: been hit hard, right. I got five or six hundred
- 40:13Speaker 1: thousand people out of work. If I look at the
- 40:16Speaker 1: unemployment rate in New York, it's two times for the
- 40:19Speaker 1: national average, right, and so New York has been't hit bad.
- 40:24Speaker 1: It sall go big, goes small, go forward, go biggest,
- 40:27Speaker 1: fix and infrastructure. It is, you know, affordable housing. It
- 40:31Speaker 1: is fixing the sewage mains and the fractured bridges. Yes,
- 40:35Speaker 1: it's getting me and a half of New Yorkers, many
- 40:36Speaker 1: of us, many of them look like us who don't
- 40:38Speaker 1: have broadbent or access to tablets. And it's also addressing
- 40:41Speaker 1: a hundred year flood that comes every five years. Hey,
- 40:44Speaker 1: go small. Let's focus on those small businesses. Fifty thousand
- 40:49Speaker 1: jobs in the small businesses because small businesses represent a
- 40:52Speaker 1: half of New York's workforce, and so we got to
- 40:55Speaker 1: focus on that. And I got a whole menu about
- 40:57Speaker 1: how I'm gonna go and fix the small businesses, invest
- 40:59Speaker 1: in the all that this is a cup of deureaucracy.
- 41:02Speaker 1: But the theme that's gonna get big is what I'm
- 41:05Speaker 1: going to do going forward, Go bigg smoke, go forward,
- 41:08Speaker 1: and go forward. It's got to be focused on mwbe's
- 41:12Speaker 1: the minority and women owned, black and brown owned businesses.
- 41:15Speaker 1: And what my view is there is that we've been
- 41:18Speaker 1: out that for so long that when they give us crumbs,
- 41:20Speaker 1: they want us to feel full. I'm not interested in
- 41:23Speaker 1: the crumbs. A matter of fact, I'm interested in the case.
- 41:26Speaker 1: I want us to own the bakeries. And so we
- 41:28Speaker 1: got to be focused on that, right, That's what we've
- 41:31Speaker 1: got to be focused on. We got to be focused
- 41:32Speaker 1: on the future technology. You know, it's important to get
- 41:35Speaker 1: that type of support because the people who you have
- 41:39Speaker 1: name reference came up the same way I did, and
- 41:42Speaker 1: they came up from the bottom. And so to give
- 41:44Speaker 1: that kind of endorsement, and there have been others from
- 41:47Speaker 1: the bottom who have less name recognition. I will give
- 41:50Speaker 1: you Sean Belle's mother, Valerie Belle, or when car Eric
- 41:55Speaker 1: Garner's mother, or Robert Rodriguez, who represents the ATOM. I
- 42:00Speaker 1: go through the list of people, and these people are
- 42:03Speaker 1: on the ground. Some people have arisen from the bottom
- 42:06Speaker 1: and gotten to the top of whatever it is they're doing.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Jay and Nas and Eddie and South Valorie clearly as
- 42:11Speaker 1: a distinguished personality, and I mean just a distinguished talent
- 42:16Speaker 1: and huge public servant. And I look at those people.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I look at the other people who stepped up. This
- 42:21Speaker 1: is all about what takes place when you call the
- 42:23Speaker 1: common man, it's me, it's you, it is the people, right.
- 42:26Speaker 1: This is all about that. What this journey is about
- 42:28Speaker 1: is making certain that, as my words say, by the
- 42:31Speaker 1: least of these get representations. Hey, rate, I'm gonna give
- 42:35Speaker 1: you one last thing to say, Man, what's one thing
- 42:37Speaker 1: you want to leave our listeners with this morning? Listen,
- 42:41Speaker 1: This ain't about me. This is about we. We got
- 42:43Speaker 1: one shot to get for us right, and we need
- 42:46Speaker 1: to come together now in order for our best days
- 42:49Speaker 1: to be ahead of us and not behind us. And
- 42:52Speaker 1: so this has been a walk of faith. I neither
- 42:55Speaker 1: support and go to raid fromare dot com, but Steve,
- 42:58Speaker 1: coming from you and your crew and all that you
- 43:00Speaker 1: will represent. You will represent excellence. You all have made
- 43:04Speaker 1: it against the highest level of screuting, against the most
- 43:08Speaker 1: difficult odds, and those of us who are fortunate and
- 43:11Speaker 1: blessed to be inspired by you every morning. I should
- 43:16Speaker 1: recognize that you're a gift from one high and I
- 43:19Speaker 1: am honored to speak with you, to be with you.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I've admired the show, I've laughed for the show. I
- 43:24Speaker 1: don't want you to call me up and frank me.
- 43:27Speaker 1: I guess that's gonna happen, though, mister b I know,
- 43:31Speaker 1: I know, I knew, nephew. I know you can't help yourself.
- 43:37Speaker 1: I know you can't help yourself. I understand that. I
- 43:39Speaker 1: know I can't listen. I got enough words to curse
- 43:42Speaker 1: you out. Okay, I know, I okay dot Com old
- 43:49Speaker 1: school style. Okay, Oh you don't. You're gonna hear you
- 43:54Speaker 1: forget hey, listen to everybody. If you want to learn
- 44:00Speaker 1: more and you want to help him out, it's Ray
- 44:02Speaker 1: Fromaya dot Com, Ray MacGuire, we love you man much,
- 44:06Speaker 1: appreciate y'all. Thank you. Wow. He sounds like a great candidate.
- 44:10Speaker 1: I look to hear more from him. Coming up next,
- 44:12Speaker 1: the nephew is here with today's prank phone call. Right
- 44:15Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 44:21Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 44:23Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today, subject I married a
- 44:26Speaker 1: social media thought. It is not what you think. And
- 44:30Speaker 1: we'll get into that in just a little bit. But
- 44:32Speaker 1: right now, the nephew is here with today's prank phone call.
- 44:36Speaker 1: What you got for us, neph I got mister Reggie.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Mister Reggie, why why are you pranking? Riggie? This is
- 44:43Speaker 1: mister Reggie. Let's go take a listen. You see Hello, Hello,
- 44:47Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach uh de beyond. Who's calling? How
- 44:52Speaker 1: you doing? Man? This is mister Reggie. Have you heard
- 44:55Speaker 1: of me before? No, you don't, Frank the raya Bell night.
- 44:59Speaker 1: I'm a friend of your of your mothers. I'm a
- 45:01Speaker 1: friend of Yolanda's. You're a friend of my mother. Yeah, yeah,
- 45:05Speaker 1: mister Reggie. She's never she's never mentioned me before. No,
- 45:08Speaker 1: she okay? Everything cool? Oh no, no, no, your mom
- 45:10Speaker 1: is good. Let me let me tell you what's happening.
- 45:12Speaker 1: So you you're getting ready to graduate you're feeling to
- 45:13Speaker 1: get your masters, right, yeah, I'm giving my mba. Okay,
- 45:16Speaker 1: first of all, let me just say congratulations to you.
- 45:18Speaker 1: I'm proud of you. Your mom been telling me about
- 45:21Speaker 1: the whole journey, you know, from from undergrad to getting
- 45:25Speaker 1: your you know, you're getting your masters in business. So
- 45:28Speaker 1: I just want to come in and say congratulations. All right,
- 45:31Speaker 1: thank you, brother. I appreciate that. But your mom ain't
- 45:34Speaker 1: never she ain't never mentioned mister Reggie to you. Huh No, sorry, bro, Okay,
- 45:39Speaker 1: I got a little a situation that we got here. Man.
- 45:42Speaker 1: You know, I've been seeing your mom for probably you know,
- 45:45Speaker 1: five six years now, and I just that's yeah. Yeah,
- 45:49Speaker 1: So it kind of puzzles me that she never brought
- 45:51Speaker 1: up mister Reggie to you. No, No, she never brought
- 45:54Speaker 1: up the name mister Reggie. You know, I didn't even
- 45:56Speaker 1: know she had dating, to be honest with me. Okay,
- 45:59Speaker 1: So when you started undergrad, I'm the person that you know,
- 46:03Speaker 1: stepped up and gave your mom some money so she
- 46:05Speaker 1: could put you through school. You know, I knew she
- 46:08Speaker 1: needed some money to get you through school and started out,
- 46:11Speaker 1: you know, like I guess, around your freshman year. So
- 46:13Speaker 1: I stepped up and you know, helped your mom out. Man.
- 46:16Speaker 1: This is bugged out, bro, because hold on, you're telling
- 46:19Speaker 1: me you gave my mother the money because she told
- 46:21Speaker 1: me she got a couple of extra jobs on the
- 46:23Speaker 1: side to get the money that face for school. I'm
- 46:26Speaker 1: the person that stepped up and through your undergrad I'm
- 46:30Speaker 1: the one gave your mom the moneys for you can
- 46:33Speaker 1: go to school. And I knew when you graduated from
- 46:36Speaker 1: undergrad and then she came back told me you getting
- 46:39Speaker 1: ready to do grad school and I stepped up some mode.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Here's one I'm getting that. Man. I'm not even calling
- 46:44Speaker 1: mister Reggie mister Reggie and called money when I get
- 46:48Speaker 1: a job. No, no, nothing like that. So here's a deal, man,
- 46:54Speaker 1: I didn't give your mom all this money for six years.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Now here it is now you've been to graduate and
- 46:59Speaker 1: now that you find the graduation she called herself want
- 47:02Speaker 1: to break up with me? So, I mean, I don't
- 47:05Speaker 1: know nothing about that. That's between y'alls, bro, I mean,
- 47:09Speaker 1: what do you want me to do? What I wanted?
- 47:11Speaker 1: You heard your name before, so I mean, and I
- 47:13Speaker 1: understand that. But what I'm saying, what I'm getting that
- 47:15Speaker 1: is just right here. I would like for you to
- 47:17Speaker 1: least call your mama and say something to on my behalf,
- 47:21Speaker 1: because you know, come on, man, I didn't put six
- 47:23Speaker 1: years in put you all the way through school and
- 47:26Speaker 1: tell your behalf. I really don't. I mean, I don't
- 47:29Speaker 1: know you. I mean, what do you want me to
- 47:31Speaker 1: say on your behalf? But you don't understand what I'm
- 47:34Speaker 1: trying to tell you. David, mister Reggie and stuck his
- 47:36Speaker 1: neck out for you for the last six years. You
- 47:39Speaker 1: see what I'm saying. Risten, Man, I don't even know you.
- 47:42Speaker 1: You calling me out the blue talking about you gave
- 47:45Speaker 1: my mama some money and Ben went up for five years.
- 47:47Speaker 1: I don't know you. I never heard your name, never
- 47:50Speaker 1: heard of mister Reggie. You just called me out the blue.
- 47:53Speaker 1: It's some trippy right now. Man, Okay, okay, I understand,
- 47:56Speaker 1: I understanding. Look at authors call you your ex girls
- 48:01Speaker 1: fun like come on, hold on, hold on, this ain't
- 48:06Speaker 1: no ex girl. We we've been up up up to
- 48:12Speaker 1: lands week, up to last week. I didn't pay for
- 48:15Speaker 1: you to go to school six years. Now here it

- 48:20Speaker 1: know about that, man, Like I don't know why y'all
- 48:22Speaker 1: broke up. I don't know nothing about that. Maybe and
- 48:24Speaker 1: then you called me out the blue and I don't
- 48:26Speaker 1: even know you. She never mentioned you at least you
- 48:29Speaker 1: at least you can do it's call on my behalf
- 48:31Speaker 1: and say, hey, what's going on with you? Nobody's gonna
- 48:34Speaker 1: have I don't know who you are. I'm the person.
- 48:37Speaker 1: I'm the person and put your little last through schools. Hey,
- 48:40Speaker 1: the check that went to the school, we had my
- 48:42Speaker 1: mama's name on them. Not no, damn mister Retchen. So hey, bro,

- 51:56Speaker 1: my god. He said, man, his mom is his heart. Man,
- 51:59Speaker 1: that's his heart. I said, all right, cool, that's where
- 52:01Speaker 1: we're going with. My grandmother always said, don't be friends
- 52:06Speaker 1: with hey. Man. You gotta give it to me, baby,
- 52:13Speaker 1: Give it to me right, mister MBA. You fend to

- 52:34Speaker 1: It's like you're going by my mama house. I'm a blank.
- 52:37Speaker 1: You like it's gonna be some smoke in this city.
- 52:41Speaker 1: I'm like the rest. Somebody with an NBA must be asked. Yeah,
- 52:47Speaker 1: I'm a sucker. That was a good one, nephew. Oh yeah,

- 53:52Speaker 1: Could be never know. Hold on tight, we got it
- 53:55Speaker 1: for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew.
- 53:59Speaker 1: Sub I married a social media thought. Okay, Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:06Speaker 1: I really hope you can help. I am forty one
- 54:09Speaker 1: and my husband is forty three years old. We've been
- 54:12Speaker 1: together for a total of thirteen years and married for ten.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Throughout our relationship, there have been situations where my husband
- 54:20Speaker 1: was getting attention from lots of different women and entertaining
- 54:23Speaker 1: them on the side. This is all before social media
- 54:27Speaker 1: got amped up. I would notice him buying new clothes
- 54:30Speaker 1: or working out more, and I just knew some women,
- 54:33Speaker 1: some woman must have complimented him or told him he
- 54:36Speaker 1: had nice arms or something. He has always been thirsty
- 54:40Speaker 1: for attention, and my mother tells him he's a big flirt.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Within the past four years, he joined three social media
- 54:46Speaker 1: apps and just and he justified it by saying Facebook
- 54:51Speaker 1: was to keep up with his old friends, Instagram was
- 54:54Speaker 1: to get news alerts and sports news, and Twitter was
- 54:56Speaker 1: to keep up with our former president. From the very beginning,
- 55:01Speaker 1: I knew I was going to have problems if he
- 55:03Speaker 1: was able to connect with females through these apps. He
- 55:07Speaker 1: went from posting for self posing for selfies to having
- 55:11Speaker 1: photoshoots with me taking pictures of him no matter where
- 55:15Speaker 1: we work. I jokingly asked him to get in the
- 55:18Speaker 1: pictures with him, and he always tells me next time.
- 55:22Speaker 1: My male coworker has an Instagram account and I asked
- 55:25Speaker 1: him if he follows my husband's account. He said he
- 55:27Speaker 1: unfollowed him because of all the stuff he posts. I
- 55:30Speaker 1: look at it. Looked at his page, and he's got
- 55:33Speaker 1: pictures of himself shirtless, pictures of himself flexing and muscle shirts,
- 55:38Speaker 1: and a whole lot of selfies. He looks like a
- 55:41Speaker 1: thought that single and ready to mingle. I joined Instagram
- 55:46Speaker 1: without him knowing, so now I see what he posts
- 55:48Speaker 1: every day. I told him that he's doing way too
- 55:51Speaker 1: much on social media. He said what he's doing is
- 55:53Speaker 1: fun and harmless. Is this normal for a man or not? Well, okay,
- 56:03Speaker 1: it is rare. I have to agree with you that
- 56:05Speaker 1: men are are thoughts on Instagram, So no, this is
- 56:09Speaker 1: not normal. You see female influencers, you see female models
- 56:14Speaker 1: all the time, but men not so much. And for
- 56:17Speaker 1: someone like your husband, who you say loves attention, this
- 56:20Speaker 1: is a perfect vehicle for him. He can get the
- 56:23Speaker 1: likes from all over the world several times a day.
- 56:27Speaker 1: And this is the problem you His wife had had
- 56:30Speaker 1: to live with his newfound fame every day. I mean,
- 56:34Speaker 1: you know you said he was cheating before. Well he's
- 56:37Speaker 1: brand new now it's all about him and he's caught up.
- 56:40Speaker 1: I mean, he doesn't even want you to take pictures
- 56:43Speaker 1: with him. You could take pictures of him, but not
- 56:45Speaker 1: with him. You're his wife, so you know there's a
- 56:48Speaker 1: problem right there in his mind. A picture with you
- 56:52Speaker 1: would probably be blocking. You know, all the tension he's
- 56:54Speaker 1: getting your attention. Your mother sees. Your mother sees it.
- 56:59Speaker 1: She said, he's a big flirt. And yes, that's what
- 57:02Speaker 1: he's doing on social media. He's letting the ladies slide
- 57:06Speaker 1: into his dms, comment on his posts, and follow him.
- 57:09Speaker 1: All of that. Now does he need that much validation?
- 57:13Speaker 1: Does he? How insecure and narcissistic. Is this man you married?
- 57:18Speaker 1: I mean, not too many grown men have time or
- 57:21Speaker 1: money to do all this that he's doing photo shoots
- 57:25Speaker 1: and stuff selfies all the time. Your marriage is in trouble.
- 57:30Speaker 1: It is because your husband is immature and his attention
- 57:34Speaker 1: is elsewhere and it's not on you, and you recognize
- 57:38Speaker 1: that problem. You got to tell him, you know, this
- 57:40Speaker 1: is not fun, It is not harmless. It's very harmful
- 57:44Speaker 1: to you. You know that's what he thinks, but that's
- 57:47Speaker 1: not it. It's hurting you, and you need to let
- 57:50Speaker 1: him know. He's a grown man. He needs to be
- 57:52Speaker 1: off Instagram posing, you know, and paying attention to you
- 57:57Speaker 1: in his marriage. Steve, you know this letter right here.
- 58:02Speaker 1: I just want to help you out, sister. With your words.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I've diagnosed this entire letter. Just Stephen Sherley. I hope
- 58:10Speaker 1: you can help him. Forty one, husband's forty three, been together,
- 58:13Speaker 1: thirteen years married ten. Throughout our relationship that had been
- 58:18Speaker 1: situations where my husband was getting attention from lots of
- 58:23Speaker 1: different women and entertaining them on the side. What do
- 58:28Speaker 1: you mean by entertaining them? And you know this and
- 58:35Speaker 1: you been going along with it, calling it entertaining, that's
- 58:40Speaker 1: what you called it. Okay, all right, lady, this was
- 58:44Speaker 1: all before social media got amped up. I noticed him
- 58:48Speaker 1: buying new clothes or working out more than just some
- 58:50Speaker 1: woman mustn't complimented him or told him he had nice
- 58:53Speaker 1: arms or something. He's always been thirsty for attention, and
- 58:58Speaker 1: my mother tells him he's a big flirt. Now, let
- 59:02Speaker 1: me ask you a question. How does your mama know
- 59:08Speaker 1: that your husband is a big flirt? I mean, hold on, lady,
- 59:14Speaker 1: If you can't keep it from your mother in law,
- 59:17Speaker 1: you ain't even trying. How is your mother in law
- 59:21Speaker 1: diagnosing your husband for you? Like all of a sudden,
- 59:25Speaker 1: your mama bringing you some brand new news? Lady, you
- 59:29Speaker 1: and denial. Within the past four years, he's doing three
- 59:32Speaker 1: social media apps. He's justified by saying Facebook was to
- 59:36Speaker 1: keep up with his old friends, Instagram was to get
- 59:38Speaker 1: news alerts and sports news, and Twitter was keep up
- 59:40Speaker 1: without former president. What okay, Facebook to keep up with
- 59:44Speaker 1: old friends. Got that, that's common? But don't know, damn
- 59:48Speaker 1: body get on Instagram to get news alerts and sports news.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Dad ain't even who Instagram is about, right, So how
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you fail for that? You stupid and then he got
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: on Twitter to keep up with our former president. What
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: he don't have a Twitter account? Hang god, we'll have
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: part two of you, Oh are you stupid? Coming up
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour today's Strubberry Letters
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: subject I married a social media thought. We'll get back
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening to show, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Let's recap today quickly. Maybe have been married to this
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: man for thirteen years, had trouble throughout the relationships, been
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: in situations your husband getting attention from lots of different
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: women and entertaining them on the side. So you want
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: to call it entertaining them on the side. So he's
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: had women on the side and you know about it,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: but you not called it cheating, You calling it entertaining
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: them on the side. Okay, that's like this was all
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: before social media got up, and then you knew someone
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: was complimented by his nice arms and stuff. In me,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: he's always been thirsty for attention. My mother told him
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: he's a big flirt. And my question was, how does
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: your mama know that your husband is a big flirt?
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Because if you can't hide that from your mother in law,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: you ain't even trying, so your mother in lawst them
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: diagnose your marriage for you, and you act like it's
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: brand new news. Now, he didn't got on Facebook to
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: keep up with his old friend, Instagram to get news
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: alert and sports news, and Twitter to keep up with
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: our former president. Like I said before, keep it up
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: with old friends on Facebook, that's common, okay, but don't
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: nobody go on ig for news alerts and sports that ain't.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I don't know if you're familiar with. They got this
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: thing out not called sports Center that really tells you
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: everything you need to know. They got an app that
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: breaks the news for you, so you believe. And then
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: he asks a Twitter to keep up with our former president.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: I don't know how smart you are, but Twitter has
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: banned Donald Trump. He don't have a Twitter account, so
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: how you fail for this is beyond me. From the
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: very beginning, I knew I was gonna have a problem
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: if he was able to connect with females through these apps.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: He went from posing or with selfish to have taking
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: photo shoots with me, taking pictures of him no matter
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: where we were. I jokingly asked him to get into
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: pictures and he always tells me next time, excuse me,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Why are you joking? What's funny about this to you?
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: And secondly, why are you the photographer? I don't understand.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: He got you taking pictures of him everywhere he going.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: You know he's gonna post him, but you taking the
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: damn pictures you in on the crime, you're aiding and
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: a betting you are assisting you in the car with
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: the robbery picture with him because he didn't told you.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Next time, here is a next work. My male co
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: worker has an Instagram account and I asked him if
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: he follows my husband's account. He said he unfollowed him
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: because of stuff he posts. Now, I'm gonna give you
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: two reasons he told you this because number one, he
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: don't like men who take manhole shots. These are called
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: man whole shots, and we ain't on Instagram looking at
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: me and taking man whole shots. And then secondly, I
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: got some new news for you in case you didn't
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: know this, because you obviously don't know a lot of stuff.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Your co worker like you exactly. Your co worker got
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: feelings for you, so now he trying to drop some
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: knowledge on you because obviously you ain't that swill. So
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I didn't quit following your husband calls the stuff he posted.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: I looked at his page, and he's got pictures of
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: himself shirtless, flexing and mustle shirts and a whole lot
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: of selfies. He looks like a thought that's single and
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: ready to mingle. Keep that line in mind. I joined
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Instagram without him knowing, so now I'll see what he
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: posts every day. I told him he's doing way too
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: much on social media. He says he's What he's doing
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: is fum fun and harmless. Is this normal for a
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: man or not? Let me answer that question first. Hell no,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: it ain't normal. The only friend I got that takes
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: his shirt off on I G is Kevin Hart. And
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: as soon as I get his body, as soon as
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I get Kevin Hart's body in adult size, I'm taking
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: mine off too. That's it. But Kevin makes money because
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: he into fitness. So now let me take you, so
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: let me teach you soon. Remember this about men. When
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: he say he's just doing it for fun and this harmless,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: remember this about men. We don't do anything. We don't
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: do nothing without a reason or purpose. And you provided
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: the reason or the purpose and the letter yourself. Because
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: he's looking like a thought that's single and ready to mingle.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: You said that. Now, if it's fun and harmless, then
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: what are you doing it? Fault? See what is the
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: purpose and the reason If you say it's for fun,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: I'm just listening to you. See is he doing it
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: just to read the comments? You need to read them comments,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: because that's what he's doing it, Faults. I want you no, No,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: he knows who who's dm to slide in? See that
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: that's you need to read these comments. If he doing
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: it for fun and it's harmless. And remember, men don't
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: do nothing without a reason or purpose. Every thing we
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: do got every woman has got a man. No, I'm
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: telling the truth. We don't do nothing for fun and harmlessness.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: That ain't what we do. I'm lame. Let me just
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: play something else. Yo, Mama know why he's doing it,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Cause he a big ass flirt. She certainly knows. Now
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: he's gonna stop, or you're gonna leave and let him
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: take a little big ass arm somewhere. El all right,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: we'll stop it right there. Steve. Thank you. Post your
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on

- 1:07:34Speaker 1: don't think they stay alive or they're going home. First off,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Wizards verse to seventy six. It's Philly Leagues three one, Joe.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: If Joel Ambi is playing, they got their Finni call. Okay,

- 1:08:26Speaker 1: percentages low. He ain't having the season he's been having
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: the playoff basketball. They doubling n. He don't know what
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: to do back Knicks, Hawks Ice trade too much for him.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: They got them. They got them boys down in Atlantic.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: They do man Grizzlies versus the Jazz and Utah leads
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: three one. Yeah, you know they Donovan back and he
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: getting better and better so he ain't injured, no hope,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: but ran cole Man, I love him, I love him

- 1:09:01Speaker 1: on some money on Brooklyn all the way this year.

- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Boston right now. They just beat Boston last night. Yeah,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean out of the West. Yeah, oh,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I don't. I don't tell you something. Lest gonna be
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: strong man, but you A D and Lebron had to
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: be healthy for them to come out of that. They
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: struggling right now. And if a D don't come back,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Lebron gonna have to get thirty nine for them to

- 1:10:11Speaker 1: we want to get back to seeing family, right, haven't
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: we missed our family. We've missed our friends, our loved one,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: some of them, not all of I've missed them. I've
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: missed my family. We want to do live shows, Tommy,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: you talk about that all the time, going on tour.

- 1:10:34Speaker 1: getting the COVID nineteen vaccine is the first step to
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: getting all of us there faster. Okay, we can do this.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Day is today. Find a COVID nineteen vaccine near you

- 1:10:54Speaker 1: that now that you now that we all have our
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: COVID nineteen shots, our vaccines. Ah, Man, this family, I
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: would say family. Family. I mean I just came back
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: from seeing my in laws and I had seen them
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: since November Thanksgiving twenty nineteen. Yeah, so when we're all vaccinated,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: some family. Yeah. And a side note, Carla, next up Vegas,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: since we're traveling, were traveling ready, I'm looking forward most too, surely,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: But because I live alone, I'm looking forward to seeing anybody.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: I don't care who it is, just cut anybody looking
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: at the tree having company again, it'd be good for me. Yeah, oh,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I thought you was you tired of your shelves. What
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: are you looking forward to, Steve, I'm just looking forward
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: to live audiences on the sholves. I need crowds. I'm
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: i talking to these eight people with ded mask on,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: uh huhestants and stuff. Yeah. Now, will you go back
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: to shaking hands at some points? No, they got me.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: I'm eight feet away from everybody. I ain't touched the
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: contestant in two years. You know what, I do miss hugging,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: though I do miss hugging. I don't but I won't
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: be doing that. But I miss it. I don't miss hugging.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: He'll stay off me here. We're doing it all right. Listen, Steve.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Earlier you spoke to the US Surgeon General, doctor Vivic H. Murphy,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: about the importance of getting the COVID nineteen vaccine. Take
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: a listen. Today is we can do this day now,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Special guests. This morning, this doctor Vic Murthy, the twenty
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: first Surgeon General of the United States, and we're talking
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: about the vaccination. What are the major things that we
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: can do to help in this pandemic. We have a
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: way to turn this pandemic around the next of vaccine,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: so they the keeping to we've got to do is
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: number one, get vaccinated ourselves. Number two, turn around and
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: look at the people in your life or family, your friends,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: and people you care about and ask them if they've
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: got a plan to get vaccinated. So have a conversation
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: with them. If they want information, help them get information,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: if they want help. Finding a place to get vaccinated.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Now it's really easy. You can go to vaccine dot
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: gov just putting your zip code and then you can
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: find places near you where you can get vaccinated. To
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: the person that's wanting to say something to their family
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: members of friends to convince them of this vaccination, what
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: would you consider the top selling points they might mention,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: The first thing I do is go in there and
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: listen first before we judge. The second thing I would
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: do is to remind people that again, over one hundred
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: and fifty million people have got this and we're seeing
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: that it's really effective in dropping depths. And the last
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: thing I tell them is that remember, ninety percent of
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: doctors have either gotten vaccinated or planning to. These are
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: the people that we go and see about our health.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: And people that we trust, they trust and believe in
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: this vaccine. They're getting at themselves and that's why one
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: more reason why we can trust in it. And finally
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: just remember this, what we all want is we want
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: to turn this pandemic around. We want to protect ourselves,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: the people we love. We want to get back to
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: doing the things we love doing as well, getting together
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: with friends, getting back to school and work, being able
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: to go out to a ballgame. The path path this
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: way for us to do that is to be get vaccinated.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: And the government can help it. Turning this pandemic around,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: helping our communities heal kind of keep all of us
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: standing up, looking out for one another, supporting one another.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: That's how we not only get through this pandemic, but
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: how we come out on the other side stronger and
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: even before this pandemic. But yeah, find a COVID nineteen
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: vaccine near you at vaccines dot gov. We'll have more
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: of today's trending stories on the Steve Harvey Morning Show

- 1:16:03Speaker 1: k No. I don't like nothing, but you like about it.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: That's not a excile. People really liked you just got.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: But there are some people that like to work out.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: There are some people that you're very rare. I like
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: the sauna swift, I like seat there and just sweat
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: come out of there and won't to weigh myself. Yea,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: all right, We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Show coming up at thirty three minutes after. Right after this,
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right now, it
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: is time? Yeah for asked the cello chief Love Officer
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. All right, so here we go. This one
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: is from Tanjula in Mississippi. Tanjula rights, I'm a thirty
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: two year old professional woman by day and at night
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: I'm an escort. I keep a low profile in my
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: city and go to the neighboring city for my escort business.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I've been dating a guy for almost three months and
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: he thinks I'm a school teacher and model because I
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: met him at a casting call for models for a
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: music video. I need my side gig to pay off
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: my student loans, but I know this guy won't like it.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Should I be honest with him or keep the lie going? Oh?
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: Wait a minute, what so she says she does what
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: in a daytime? She's a professional woman, she says, she
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: didn't say specifically, but she's an escort. Yeah at nice?
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: So what what is the last she's trying to keep
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: going that she's an escort, that she's an escort. Wait
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: a minute, she's an escort to pay off her student loans. Well,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: wait a minute, how did he meet her? Um? It
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: says she she met him. Um, she's been dating him.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: He thinks she's a school teacher. She thinks he's a
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: school teacher at a model because she met him at
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: a casting call for models. Oh a video. Oh okay,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: So he didn't call the escort service and meeting, No, sir,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Oh okay, he met her at the thing, so he
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: thinked well, junk the jeller manhole way, dude, do her
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: name sound familiar to you? Ain't like her damn name
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: was Denise and I missed. Well, first of all, change
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: your damn name. Yeah, everybody gonna know who you are.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Your name at the escort service, all down at the
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: school board, Ghoula. It's very rare. So look, look, hey, look,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: young sister. You can't be so desperate to pay off
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: your student loans that you will do anything. Your reputation
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: in your life forward after this is far more important
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: than the present. And all always understand that what you're doing,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: the dog today gonna come out in the light tomorrow
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: and it may ruin an opportunity with a career move
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: or a man. So if I were you, I would
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: double think this escort service business. It's paying off student loans.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: Ain't that important? They got all types of things available
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: because of COVID. Now with student loan, you need to
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: go online and research some of this stuff. They got
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: programs and help you pay off student loan. You ain't
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: got to sell yourself to pay off no damn loan.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: Think about your life. Moving forward to thirty two, You're
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: an attractive girl, so you think you should she should
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: be honest with him. No, hey on, no, okay, your
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: job is doing the day. You're a professional woman. That's
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: your damn job. Do not tell this man you an escort. Okay,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: coming up, it is our last break of the day,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: and of course at forty nine minutes after we'll have
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: some closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: here we are the last break of the day. It's
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: been a good day, and you know what, I changed
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: my mind. I do have a close Okay, very positive
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: and uplifting one. I was thinking today during my meditation,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: how fortunate I felt. I was just thanking God for
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: having survived twenty twenty. I was thinking God of all
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: of the blessings that came my way during the COVID.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: And I know some people suffered some hard times during
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: the COVID. I know you the loss of love ones
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: is premium. I know the loss of jobs and business
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: is closed, and I know it's been challenging for a
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: lot of people. But there's a blessing in everything. And
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: I want people to look at the fact that if
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: you had what you're saying was a rough twenty twenty
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: And as some young person told me, it was the
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: roughish year of his life. And when he asked me,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: he said, mister Harvey, just gotta be the roughest year
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: of your life too. I said, son, it ain't even
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: in the top ten roughish years of my life. I
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: got something to go back over. But I was also
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: thinking of the fact that didn't something good happen to
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: you in twenty twenty. Don't you see the blessing of
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: twenty twenty. Don't you realize that you survived it. I
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: realized it's been challenging. I realized that some tough things happened.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I realize there's some setbacks. I realize there's some people
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: as not here or I get it, man. And I'm
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: not saying that's easy to deal with, cause it ain't.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: But I'm talking about you though. Ain't you got a
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: moment that you can pause and say thank you for
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: just keeping me. How about thanking God for just getting
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: you through it, even with the loss of love, even
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: with the loss of jobs and opportunities, even with the
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: loss of income. I lost income last year. But man,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: I found the bright side of it. I discovered something, man,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: that being off is okay. That sometimes, man, you need
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: to stop and smell the roses more often. Steve Harvey,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: I learned a lot from COVID. I paid attention to
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: the blessings. And I've often said this a million times.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Behind every moment of adversity, that is a lesson and
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: that is a blessing. You just got to hang in
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: at and get them. And I got him in twenty
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: twenty and twenty twenty one is a new opportunity. The
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: fact that you are still here is a sign from
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: God that He ain't through with you yet. That He
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: still has something for you. So get optimistic, get hopeful,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: get prayerful, get watchful, and start looking for what God
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: saved you for. Why did you survive COVID? Why are
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: you still here? Why did you make it past twenty twenty?
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: You got to get watchful, y'all. God is doing some things.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: He's doing some things that you ain't even aware of.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, God is still going to make
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: your dream come true. Business. Don't let the devil deceive you.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Don't let the devil make you think it's hopeless, that
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: it's over. That God doesn't forgot about you, nor he ain't. No,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: he ain't, He ain't. Most people that get the feeling
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: that God ain't close to him, it's because you ain't
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: trying to get close to him yourself. God is always available.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: You think about it. You just think about it for
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: a minute. If you're sitting here listening to me and
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: you think God don't care about you, could it be
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: because you don't care about him? Just think about it
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: for a minute. When have you ever gone to Him
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: and he turned his back on you. Give me the time,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Give me the time. You can't think of one you
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: know why, because You're still here in spite of the
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: fact that you don't think him on a regular basis,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: in spite of the fact that you won't talk to
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: him on a regular basis. Through his grace and mercy,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: he kept you anyway, and he still loves you. He
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: still loves you in spite of how you are as
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: a person, in spite of all the dirt we've done.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: And I'm talking to myself right now, in spite of
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: all the mistakes I've made. Man, God just keep on, man,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: He just keep on doing stuff for me. Man. I
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: just I just want people to understand that you don't look. Man.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: I read something other day that said I made some
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: mistakes I can't change, but I changed so I won't
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: make the same mistakes. Now who did that apply to?
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it again for you. I made some
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: mistakes I can't change, but I change so I won't
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: make the same mistakes. And you know how I change.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: I went to God and I asked for forgiveness, and
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: he gave it to me over and over and over
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: and over. A kid. God is in the caring business, y'all.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: God is in to be right there when you ain't
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: even Hey, Look, let me tell you something. You know why.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: You know why we made it through twenty twenty because
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: God put his arms around us. The virus didn't get
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: to you. The virus didn't take you out. God has
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: a purpose for you. That's why you still here, because
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: He ain't threw with you yet. God is in to
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: make your dream come true. Business y'all start dreaming again.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: Stop writing your visions down, get your paper. I'll tell
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: God what you want. Take all your request to him.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Tell him what you want, tell him what you need.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: God is in to do it, business man. But God
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: gives it to those who ask for it. Ask and
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: you shall receive. That's a fact. But if you don't
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: ask him for it, that's probably a good reason you
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: ain't got it. If you've been trying to figure it
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: out yourself, and you've been trying to work through this
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: thing by yourself, could it be that you ain't got
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: the answers you need? I'm just asking you. Could it be? Look? Man,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: come on now, God is available. Quit listening to these
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: people on i G talking about God. Ain't just God.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: Ain't the Luminanti. I don't even know what they'd be
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: talking about. I don't even try to find out the
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: definition to that foolishness. Because God has showed me too
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: many times who he is, what he do. He didn't
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: kept every last one of his promises. I'm waiting on
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: the rest of How about you turn to God. I bet,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: I bet you see him. He right there. Y'all have
