- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join Jo. You gotta turn hur you go,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn you got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out. Then turn the water the water
- 1:48Speaker 1: got me? Come come on your thad, I share will
- 2:03Speaker 1: a good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. Yeah, I'll do. Man, God is good.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Hey today, I just want to get right to it
- 2:16Speaker 1: because this has really been pressing me. I woke up
- 2:20Speaker 1: and this was on my mind, and I wanted to
- 2:22Speaker 1: share it with you because I know this for a fact.
- 2:27Speaker 1: See I've lived this for a fact, and you know
- 2:33Speaker 1: the majority of things I talk about in the morning
- 2:37Speaker 1: before we get started with the regular show. It's something
- 2:40Speaker 1: that I've experienced. I can only tell you what I know.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And so I really really understood why God has had
- 2:48Speaker 1: my life go the way that is gone, because if
- 2:52Speaker 1: I didn't have all these tests in my life, I
- 2:55Speaker 1: didn't have all these tests that I passed, all these
- 2:58Speaker 1: tests that I faced old. If I didn't have all
- 3:03Speaker 1: of those, the good and the bad, What could I
- 3:08Speaker 1: share with you in the morning? What could I tell
- 3:11Speaker 1: you about hanging? What could I tell you about failing
- 3:17Speaker 1: and then winning? What could I tell you about hanging
- 3:20Speaker 1: in now when all hope was gone? How could I
- 3:24Speaker 1: share that with you? Unless I've had those moments myself.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I don't care what happens to you. I don't care
- 3:34Speaker 1: what you're going through. Don't you dare dare give up?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Under no circumstances. Don't you dare dare ever give up?
- 3:48Speaker 1: It is the biggest trick that the enemy has is
- 3:54Speaker 1: making us think we ain't gonna make it, to water
- 4:00Speaker 1: down the illusion that there is a possibility that you
- 4:05Speaker 1: might still have a chance to get over. The biggest
- 4:09Speaker 1: trick he uses is when you make a mistake and
- 4:12Speaker 1: you fall. He gets you to start to thinking it's final,
- 4:17Speaker 1: that there is no resurrection, there is no redemption, there
- 4:21Speaker 1: is no recovery. He just makes you think it's final.
- 4:25Speaker 1: He is the master deceiver. Don't you dare dare ever
- 4:30Speaker 1: give up? I don't care what besets you, befalls you,
- 4:34Speaker 1: trips you up, What circumstantial situations may arise, don't you dare,
- 4:41Speaker 1: dare ever give up? Because listen to me, these are
- 4:46Speaker 1: tests that you are going through. And these tests, whether
- 4:51Speaker 1: you pass the test or appears that you failed the test,
- 4:55Speaker 1: the test accomplishes the mission if you're smart about it.
- 5:01Speaker 1: If you pass the test, Let's say you're going through
- 5:05Speaker 1: a situation and you get over and it goes the
- 5:08Speaker 1: way you want it to do, then what you've learned
- 5:11Speaker 1: is if you hang in there, there's a light at
- 5:15Speaker 1: the end of the tunnel. Okay, mission accomplished. If you
- 5:20Speaker 1: fail the test and it doesn't go the way you
- 5:24Speaker 1: want it and it goes the opposite, and it turns
- 5:28Speaker 1: out into a negative result, and in response you were
- 5:31Speaker 1: looking for is a no. That's not final. That doesn't
- 5:37Speaker 1: mean it's over. That doesn't mean it's time to turn back.
- 5:42Speaker 1: It simply means that now you have learned a valuable experience,
- 5:49Speaker 1: you have learned a valuable lesson. You now know what
- 5:53Speaker 1: not to do. You are now because you know what
- 5:58Speaker 1: not to do, another step closer to getting it right.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Listen to me. It has to happen this way. You
- 6:08Speaker 1: have to have the rain in your life to get
- 6:12Speaker 1: the flowers in your life. You got to have the
- 6:15Speaker 1: darkness in your life to appreciate the sunshine in your life.
- 6:21Speaker 1: You got to have woes and worries to appreciate the joys.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It is merely a test. So when you get through failing,
- 6:34Speaker 1: and you get through stumbling, and you get through messing
- 6:37Speaker 1: it up, all that's getting you one step closer to
- 6:42Speaker 1: getting it right. Oh, my relationship ended. I'll never be
- 6:46Speaker 1: able to find another person like that. Not only will
- 6:50Speaker 1: you not be able will not only will you be
- 6:52Speaker 1: able to find a person like that, You can find
- 6:56Speaker 1: a person that far better than that if you don't
- 7:01Speaker 1: give up. But see, sometimes you got to go through
- 7:04Speaker 1: the bad ones to get to the good ones. Don't you? Dare?
- 7:09Speaker 1: Dare ever give up? I don't care what happens to
- 7:12Speaker 1: you if you lose a love one. And Lord knows,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I've lost some people I've loved dearly, with every inch
- 7:22Speaker 1: in me. I've lost my mother, my father, my brother,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and my best friend. I don't know. I know people
- 7:32Speaker 1: who have lost their children. Goodness, man, I can't even
- 7:36Speaker 1: imagine that, but they kept on going. What you're giving
- 7:42Speaker 1: up for? Oh, I got you miss them, and I
- 7:45Speaker 1: got you grieving, But I got news for you. Don't
- 7:49Speaker 1: you let the devil make you think it's over for
- 7:51Speaker 1: you because somebody else ain't still here. It was their time. Now.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I'm not trying to lessen to blow for you, but
- 7:58Speaker 1: I'm trying to get you up on your feet so
- 8:00Speaker 1: you can stop all this old woe is me because
- 8:03Speaker 1: the things is happening to you. You're not the first
- 8:05Speaker 1: person that's happened to Come on, now, let's get a grip.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Let's wrap your mind around this thing. You have got
- 8:11Speaker 1: to move forward, if it's just in memory of those people.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I was on one of the commercial breaks the other
- 8:17Speaker 1: day and somebody asked me something, and I forgot the question,
- 8:22Speaker 1: but my answer was, I've always wanted my mother and
- 8:24Speaker 1: father to be proud of me, and in that absence
- 8:29Speaker 1: and their demise, I'm hoping, just somehow, man that they
- 8:34Speaker 1: watching me, that they see their boy, that I'm down here,
- 8:38Speaker 1: that I'm doing better, that I'm making something about myself,
- 8:42Speaker 1: that I'm loving my wife, that I'm taking care of
- 8:45Speaker 1: my kids. She want my old man to see that
- 8:47Speaker 1: about me, you know, I want my mother to see
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to give my life together over here, you know,
- 8:54Speaker 1: saying I'm trying to be a better person. My mom
- 8:56Speaker 1: was a Sunday school teacher for forty years. She'd been
- 8:59Speaker 1: praying for me for long time. I just hope, man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: and that's all I'm doing. It's just hoping that they
- 9:06Speaker 1: see me so they ain't be proud of me. See you,
- 9:09Speaker 1: you you, you you. You got to understand that when
- 9:13Speaker 1: you make these mistakes, that when you fall and stumble
- 9:17Speaker 1: and you get it all so wrong, it ain't over
- 9:20Speaker 1: for you. Don't you dare dare dare ever? Give up?
- 9:24Speaker 1: Don't stop thinking, man, because it ain't happening just the
- 9:27Speaker 1: way you wanted to that. It ain't meant to be devil.
- 9:30Speaker 1: He got so many tricks to deceive you. You know
- 9:34Speaker 1: why you're being tested right now, because there is no
- 9:37Speaker 1: testimony without the test. You got to go through something.
- 9:43Speaker 1: It's all good man telling you. I just wanted to
- 9:46Speaker 1: share that with you. Don't you give up out there.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I don't care what's happening. Don't don't, don't don't get deceived.
- 9:52Speaker 1: The victory's coming, but you ain't gonna get it if
- 9:54Speaker 1: you quit. Hang on, y'all, you're listening to show ladies
- 10:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show and

- 10:16Speaker 1: dollar lawsuit over publishing rights, songwrites and just all rights.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Roscoe Wallace has written He's claiming all hits ever made
- 10:27Speaker 1: in the music industry, and here he is to present

- 21:04Speaker 1: predicts that we could all be living and working on
- 21:08Speaker 1: another planet in the future, wow, and just visiting Earth.
- 21:12Speaker 1: And then Superstar Tina Turner is suing an impersonator for
- 21:16Speaker 1: impersonating her too well, she's too good at being Tina.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Right now. We'll talk about those things at the top
- 21:23Speaker 1: of the hour, But right now it is time to
- 21:25Speaker 1: check in with the Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. Ready
- 21:28Speaker 1: for your love questions. This one is from from unnamed
- 21:32Speaker 1: in Georgia. Unnamed rites. I'm thirty three years old and married.
- 21:37Speaker 1: I worked nights, so I have to spend as much
- 21:40Speaker 1: time as I can with my wife. I also have
- 21:43Speaker 1: to make sure my girlfriend is happy too. My girlfriend
- 21:47Speaker 1: works part time and she's used to me taking her
- 21:49Speaker 1: to lunch most days and having a little dessert at
- 21:52Speaker 1: her house. My wife just started working from home three
- 21:56Speaker 1: days a week, and she expects me to eat at
- 21:58Speaker 1: home and please after lunch. This is irritating my girlfriend.
- 22:03Speaker 1: How do I keep both of these women happy without
- 22:07Speaker 1: wearing myself out? Help me out out, yo, yo, answer
- 22:13Speaker 1: it won't out, yo. Lunch break ain't even a break dog,
- 22:22Speaker 1: I ain't got ain't got no answer for your dog
- 22:24Speaker 1: except the real solution. You ain't gonna want to hire
- 22:29Speaker 1: you guys to get rid of that girlfriend. That is
- 22:31Speaker 1: not what he asked. That is, he did not ask
- 22:36Speaker 1: you that you're supposed to get What was the question? Yeah,
- 22:40Speaker 1: how did you go? Ahead? Repeat from him? And first
- 22:44Speaker 1: of all, that's an impossibility. There's no way. There's no way,
- 22:52Speaker 1: and he said the key word without wearing yourself out.
- 22:55Speaker 1: There is no way that can be done. He's only
- 22:59Speaker 1: thirty three. Oh he got We got the work. You
- 23:02Speaker 1: can't do this every day, sometimes twice a day, two
- 23:04Speaker 1: different people. You gotta be kidding me a lot, or
- 23:08Speaker 1: you don't even understand this, can only lask for a
- 23:11Speaker 1: little while, probably not helping him. You've got to get
- 23:15Speaker 1: rid of the girlfriend. Is not the help he asked.
- 23:21Speaker 1: There is no other help. Boy, Can I invite you
- 23:26Speaker 1: your ignorant self? There's nothing else to give this boy.
- 23:31Speaker 1: But what he ain't the situation that he not gonna
- 23:36Speaker 1: have wife. He keep on. He didn't ask to give
- 23:38Speaker 1: up somebody. He asked how to how to make it happen?
- 23:41Speaker 1: How to make it work? It cannot happen. What he's
- 23:44Speaker 1: asking for is an impossibility. This is a time management
- 23:49Speaker 1: question to me. Yeah, I mean, you know, some people
- 23:52Speaker 1: want to know how how can I have two calls?
- 23:55Speaker 1: You answer the question how you have two? You want
- 23:57Speaker 1: to know how? He had his next question. Shirley, moving
- 24:01Speaker 1: on Sani and Charleston says, I have a hair salon
- 24:04Speaker 1: and I'm very strict with my no children policy. My
- 24:08Speaker 1: sister's best friend constantly brings her four year old daughter
- 24:11Speaker 1: to her appointment, so I refused her service. Last Thursday.
- 24:15Speaker 1: We got into a verbal altercation, and then she went
- 24:17Speaker 1: on social media and posted a picture of her matted weed,
- 24:21Speaker 1: saying I did her hair. This could affect my business
- 24:25Speaker 1: because she's an IG influencer. So thousands of people saw
- 24:28Speaker 1: the picture. How can I get her to stop harassing
- 24:31Speaker 1: me without it getting physical? Nah, Yes, it's gonna turn cisical.
- 24:41Speaker 1: It's gonna turn We can't hear. I said, we got
- 24:45Speaker 1: to find a fiscal way to do this. Okay, So
- 24:50Speaker 1: it is going to get physical. You're saying, no, I
- 24:53Speaker 1: said something else. Shall It's not what I meant to
- 24:55Speaker 1: say in my heart of heart, but post something else?
- 25:00Speaker 1: You know, don't don't get into this social war. The
- 25:02Speaker 1: thing about social media is it goes away if you
- 25:05Speaker 1: don't respond and just leave it alone. It's not true.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Your people that come to your shop, that are your
- 25:13Speaker 1: dear customers, they know it's not true. So just going
- 25:15Speaker 1: about your business, ignore it. It will go away. The
- 25:19Speaker 1: patrols and the bottom feed is to people that's gonna
- 25:22Speaker 1: troll you. They're not coming to your salon. No way.
- 25:25Speaker 1: She can't hurt your bus, says. People kill me thinking
- 25:27Speaker 1: they're gonna destroy something they didn't create. Don't give her
- 25:30Speaker 1: the power. Ignore her. She'll go away. By Steve, she
- 25:34Speaker 1: really will. It goes away, man, Steve, that's good. That's Andrea.
- 25:42Speaker 1: And Philly says. I'm thirty nine years old and I've
- 25:45Speaker 1: been with my man for nine years. He'd cheat it,
- 25:48Speaker 1: and I stayed because I have nowhere to go. A
- 25:51Speaker 1: year ago, I got a man on the side, and
- 25:54Speaker 1: my man didn't suspect a thing until he's snuck and
- 25:57Speaker 1: turned my ringer on. One day while I was sleep,
- 26:00Speaker 1: my side dude called and the ringer was up loud.
- 26:04Speaker 1: I have the song walk as my side Dude's ring tne.
- 26:08Speaker 1: My man tried to answer the phone. But he missed
- 26:12Speaker 1: the call. I'm not sure if he read my text
- 26:15Speaker 1: or not. So I'm walking on eggshells around him. What
- 26:18Speaker 1: should I do? Get out? You're in an unhappy relationship
- 26:22Speaker 1: that's unhealthy for you, and you already you got a
- 26:26Speaker 1: man on the side. Wan't you to take him off
- 26:28Speaker 1: the side? But see? Instead of but see, the problem
- 26:33Speaker 1: is you have no where to go. See, you're not
- 26:35Speaker 1: solving the where to go problem. You need to figure
- 26:39Speaker 1: out where you can go and be in peace. Not
- 26:43Speaker 1: who you can go to and get a piece, but
- 26:46Speaker 1: where you can go to and be in peace. See,
- 26:50Speaker 1: your problem is you picked the wrong piece. Instead of
- 26:56Speaker 1: seeking piece, you went and got another piece. And thus
- 27:01Speaker 1: now you've compounded your problem because now you still have
- 27:04Speaker 1: nowhere to go because the piece you wouldn't. God may
- 27:09Speaker 1: not have room for you at his house because you
- 27:12Speaker 1: may be just a side piece. Oh, were dealing with pieces? Now?
- 27:18Speaker 1: See all this is pieces? See did we did? We
- 27:22Speaker 1: just dealing with pieces now? And when you seek the
- 27:25Speaker 1: wrong peace, when you try to find peace in a piece,
- 27:31Speaker 1: that will be no peace. Oh man, did I just
- 27:36Speaker 1: have a Kanye I'm a damn genius, And watch your
- 27:48Speaker 1: hand Kanye moment that Kanye had every time Kanye say
- 27:53Speaker 1: something that the thought came to me changed the whole subject. Yeah,
- 27:57Speaker 1: go ahead, says I've got a big family. I love
- 28:01Speaker 1: them dearly, but I don't want them to visit me
- 28:03Speaker 1: for the holidays every year. It's a big hassle to
- 28:06Speaker 1: prepare for them, and none of them want to help
- 28:08Speaker 1: out with groceries or buying liquor. My wife is white,
- 28:12Speaker 1: and she's not used to the bickering and cursing at
- 28:14Speaker 1: each other when we're all supposed to be grateful. My
- 28:17Speaker 1: family will never change, and I'm tired of how they
- 28:19Speaker 1: act too. What gives do I please my wife or
- 28:22Speaker 1: please my ken? I would go with the white. I'm
- 28:27Speaker 1: there with the wife. You got a wife, which, yeah,
- 28:34Speaker 1: not chuck. Hear what you can do? You got it?
- 28:38Speaker 1: You got it. You gotta stop this man because you're
- 28:40Speaker 1: not happy with it either. But now what you should
- 28:44Speaker 1: do is not chucking. It's gonna throw you go over
- 28:48Speaker 1: her family's house for the holidays. Now it's gonna be
- 28:51Speaker 1: different the wife. Yeah, go over the wife's house. Now,
- 28:55Speaker 1: let me tell you a couple of things you gotta
- 28:56Speaker 1: watch out for. You're not fitting, getting no dressing. Yeah,
- 28:59Speaker 1: it's is fitnings some stuff in you getting no sweepe
- 29:02Speaker 1: taking pie. You're asking me, plunking pack going over there.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Let me just try to hang in there, enjoy yourself.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Probably go ahead and black peep back over next holiday.
- 29:16Speaker 1: All right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 29:18Speaker 1: we'll have some entertainment news right after this. You're listening
- 29:22Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right. On the
- 29:26Speaker 1: evening of November seventeenth, nineteen eleven. On the evening of
- 29:37Speaker 1: November seventeenth, nineteen eleven, Omega Side five was founded inside
- 29:42Speaker 1: the Science Building at Howard University in Washington, d C.

- 29:51Speaker 1: essential to the soul. Side five manhood, scholarship, persever turn
- 30:01Speaker 1: it down song. Oh he gonna hurt himself. He got

- 30:40Speaker 1: he can he can chair step, he cold catch step yeah,
- 30:50Speaker 1: or anything you want to say, what in the world
- 30:54Speaker 1: is it or about that song? Pat does my soul
- 31:00Speaker 1: the way it does it. I want to say Happy
- 31:03Speaker 1: Founders Day to all the brothers of Almighty Omega Side five,
- 31:09Speaker 1: the greatest fraternity ever formed. Our fraternity is built on
- 31:15Speaker 1: things that other fraternities are not built on, and the
- 31:18Speaker 1: number one thing is friendship. All other fraternities are built
- 31:23Speaker 1: on brotherhood. Ours its friendship. I just love Cooper Coleman's
- 31:31Speaker 1: four brothers, the founders of Omega side five, make no
- 31:36Speaker 1: mistake about it. That is none other like Omeaga. You
- 31:42Speaker 1: can ask all the rest of them, because they do
- 31:46Speaker 1: know the truth that when Omega came into existence, that
- 31:52Speaker 1: stopped it all that will be no more after this
- 31:56Speaker 1: more you know it. Can ask him. You canna ask anybody, really,
- 32:01Speaker 1: dog all respect to all of the brothers in the
- 32:05Speaker 1: pan Hellenic Council, the Sigmas, the Alphas, and the Knops,
- 32:09Speaker 1: much respect to all of them. All of them have
- 32:12Speaker 1: great in them, and the all of them have greatness
- 32:18Speaker 1: in them. But y'all know, y'all know, y'all know, if
- 32:26Speaker 1: you go down the list of great men in our history,
- 32:30Speaker 1: Lord he Mercy, a lot of nups, a lot of
- 32:34Speaker 1: kids damns, a lot of nups. But I'll tell you what.
- 32:41Speaker 1: You go down the list and start naming names, it
- 32:43Speaker 1: ain't close though, it's not close, not even I think
- 32:48Speaker 1: it's pretty closes. I think it's I tell you what
- 32:52Speaker 1: we can do. Cut the music off because I'm I'm
- 32:55Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna do in disrespectful. If you play the song,
- 32:59Speaker 1: you can just go name for name and we can start.
- 33:02Speaker 1: You know, I don't have to go tick te you know,
- 33:06Speaker 1: because it ain't gonna work out. There are are some
- 33:09Speaker 1: great noopes out there there. There are a lot of
- 33:12Speaker 1: great me right right there, right there, me and me
- 33:21Speaker 1: there you gonna pick keep running? Oh, said is a
- 33:29Speaker 1: great one. You know, we got we got some moment
- 33:34Speaker 1: we can get up there now careful sad the number
- 33:38Speaker 1: star stacking, I got you and said, and Johnny Cochring you, Oh,
- 33:46Speaker 1: Johnny Cocker was greatness, man, pure greatness. Smold. You know.
- 33:52Speaker 1: I don't really know a whole lot of famous cappers myself.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I just don't. Not saying there aren't. I just don't
- 33:57Speaker 1: know them. But I know a whole lot of famous
- 34:00Speaker 1: cue though whole life. Well, we're moving on. One of
- 34:07Speaker 1: the world's richest men, Happy Founders say against Steve one
- 34:10Speaker 1: of the world's and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, stated that
- 34:16Speaker 1: the Earth would soon turn into like a natural resort.
- 34:20Speaker 1: On Sunday, during a speech at the Ignatious Forum in Washington,
- 34:24Speaker 1: Bezos stated that humans would have their default homes on
- 34:28Speaker 1: other planets and over a million people could be working
- 34:31Speaker 1: on another planet soon. Okay, don't nobody can about that.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Let me just say this on Founders, stay on behalf
- 34:36Speaker 1: of Jason Jeff Bens. If Jeff Bezos gives me a
- 34:40Speaker 1: billion dollars, I'm walking his ass right into this frame.
- 34:44Speaker 1: He's a cute Jeff. No he's not at all. No
- 34:48Speaker 1: he's not. No, he's not. But if you give me
- 34:49Speaker 1: a billion dollars, I'm walking him in. I don't give it.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Them who don't like it. What does he need to
- 34:55Speaker 1: be a cue? He don't even have to be. No, Damn,
- 35:00Speaker 1: I don't really don't even care. Beginning that billion dollars,
- 35:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna walk in there. As in the dope he's saying,
- 35:08Speaker 1: babies could be born in space. It will be their
- 35:10Speaker 1: first show. Surely that's what surely listen to me though
- 35:14Speaker 1: nobody in this listening artists care nothing about that. We
- 35:18Speaker 1: black folk, we're trying to just get it right down
- 35:21Speaker 1: here on Earth. I'd be damn if you're gonna pass
- 35:23Speaker 1: up in space and let us try to figure that out.
- 35:26Speaker 1: We just want some space down here where we can
- 35:29Speaker 1: live in peace, have our own without getting shot, playing
- 35:35Speaker 1: with no COVID. I'm now that's ignorant. We could just
- 35:42Speaker 1: be visiting Earth like you visit Yellowstone Park or you know,
- 35:46Speaker 1: stuff like that. Well, I'm well, I'm gonna be down
- 35:48Speaker 1: here running things. Leave if y'all come back. Now you're here,
- 35:54Speaker 1: all right, We'll be back with more of a Steve
- 35:56Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening the Stave
- 36:00Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Florida Governor Ron de Santis is doing
- 36:05Speaker 1: everything he can everything he can do to push back
- 36:09Speaker 1: against COVID vaccine mandates for public and private employers. On Monday,
- 36:14Speaker 1: he'll oversee a special legislative session called Keep Florida Free.
- 36:18Speaker 1: It's aimed to block such mandates. Four bills will be
- 36:22Speaker 1: on the table that will up penalties for business, local governments,
- 36:27Speaker 1: and other entities that are requiring employees to get vaccinated
- 36:30Speaker 1: and force students to wear mass in school. Last week,
- 36:34Speaker 1: while announcing his twenty twenty two reelection plans, DeSantis said,
- 36:38Speaker 1: at the end of the day, we want people to
- 36:40Speaker 1: be able to make informed decisions for themselves. But we've
- 36:44Speaker 1: got to stop bossing people around. We've got to stop
- 36:47Speaker 1: the coercion. We've got to stop trying to browbeat people.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Fans of Dessanta's claim he's striking a blow for freedom
- 36:56Speaker 1: and others think he's putting people in unnecessary danger or
- 37:00Speaker 1: the residents need to make sure he's not re elected
- 37:03Speaker 1: in twenty twenty two. I can't stand anymore. I can't
- 37:11Speaker 1: stand the stupidity of people that people have put into office.
- 37:18Speaker 1: This is the person that you trust with your welfare.
- 37:23Speaker 1: This is the person that you put in chargees you
- 37:26Speaker 1: thought would be best to make decisions on your behalf.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? And I could assure you all
- 37:32Speaker 1: the Republicans that did vote for this guy did not
- 37:35Speaker 1: think he would be up there doing this type of stuff.
- 37:38Speaker 1: You cannot be a Republican and feel this way. I
- 37:41Speaker 1: just don't believe all Republicans feel this way. That can't
- 37:44Speaker 1: be the case. This is just ignorance man to know
- 37:47Speaker 1: the facts and ignore them because some political party then
- 37:51Speaker 1: got together and say this is one we're gonna let's
- 37:53Speaker 1: keep America free. You didn't say that, see y'all kill
- 37:57Speaker 1: me with just keep America freeman, y'all, and enslaved and
- 38:01Speaker 1: captured and took and imprisoned more people than anybody on
- 38:04Speaker 1: planet Earth. And you got the nerve the scream about
- 38:07Speaker 1: your freedoms. This is the most hypocritical country, man, we
- 38:11Speaker 1: live in. Oh, it has some great moments in it. Oh,
- 38:15Speaker 1: it's some great opportunities here. Okay, it's the land of
- 38:18Speaker 1: the whatever. Yeah, yeah, you can turn yourself into something.
- 38:21Speaker 1: But let's not overlook the flaws while you're talking about
- 38:25Speaker 1: what it is. Because of what is at is just
- 38:27Speaker 1: as big and just as glaring to me. And if
- 38:30Speaker 1: you on this side of the fish, you would understand
- 38:32Speaker 1: what we were talking about. So you can stop all
- 38:34Speaker 1: that old land of the free. Free for who. You
- 38:39Speaker 1: don't even want us to vote right? Free for a
- 38:44Speaker 1: woman can't decide to do with her body. Help me
- 38:47Speaker 1: understand that you could decide to wear a mask and
- 38:51Speaker 1: get a vaccination, but you can't decide to have a baby.
- 38:54Speaker 1: What make up your mind? Man? You can make up
- 38:59Speaker 1: your mind going out there and buy gun and going
- 39:01Speaker 1: out here and shoot somebody with it because you got
- 39:03Speaker 1: drivers life or your month bought. Stop me let me
- 39:06Speaker 1: the mama drove twenty twenty two elections. Remember that coming
- 39:10Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after attacks against airline employees
- 39:15Speaker 1: are becoming an epidemic. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 39:19Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Check this
- 39:24Speaker 1: story out. Southwest Airlines employee was hospitalized over the weekend
- 39:28Speaker 1: after getting punched in the head by an unruly passenger.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Authorities say the passenger had boarded her flight at Dallas
- 39:35Speaker 1: love Field Airport and got into a verbal argument with
- 39:38Speaker 1: an operations agent. She was asked to exit the plane,
- 39:42Speaker 1: and then things got physical. She allegedly punched another operations
- 39:47Speaker 1: agent in the head and was arrested for an aggravated assault.
- 39:51Speaker 1: The employee was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
- 39:54Speaker 1: And the problem is that these attacks have become an epidemic.
- 39:59Speaker 1: According to the f A, there have been over five
- 40:02Speaker 1: thousand unruly passenger incidents this year this year, So listen,
- 40:08Speaker 1: what they need to do is start passing down some man,
- 40:11Speaker 1: some some mandatory laws because they got to put a
- 40:15Speaker 1: stop to this right here, man, because this don't make
- 40:17Speaker 1: no sense. Yeah, they need to protect the flight attendance
- 40:21Speaker 1: people doing their job. Man, it ain't it ain't it
- 40:25Speaker 1: ain't get it ain't happening on my flight though. If

- 40:50Speaker 1: that's how it's going down. I'm letting you know. If
- 40:51Speaker 1: you stand up, I think you're coming towards me. I'm
- 40:54Speaker 1: fit to fight you ass. That's how it's happened. If
- 40:57Speaker 1: you're in first class, we ain't got no food I'm putting.
- 41:00Speaker 1: I'm putting a bunch of drinks in the middle of
- 41:02Speaker 1: the float, sorted out. Get what you want, Okay. Five thousand,
- 41:06Speaker 1: one hundred and fourteen unruly passenger incidents this year. This
- 41:11Speaker 1: sounds like an opportunity for a business. See see damn

- 45:37Speaker 1: I was just talking to my wife. Did you put
- 45:39Speaker 1: it back on the phone. Uh No, I'm not gonna

- 45:45Speaker 1: you do that? Man? Hey, let me explain something to you. Uh,
- 45:49Speaker 1: all right, there's some things, you know, long conversations about this.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Oh well, how you know my wife on the first

- 46:36Speaker 1: why is leaving with me? Okay? What we're leaving? And
- 46:42Speaker 1: what you mean leaving leaving me? Oh? Hell no, put
- 46:46Speaker 1: it on the phone. And I don't even want to
- 46:47Speaker 1: talk to you, man, Put her on the phone. Put
- 46:51Speaker 1: her on the phone, man, and look, you need to
- 46:53Speaker 1: put it on the phone right now. Leaving. I don't

- 47:17Speaker 1: are you telling me this phone? Why can't you just
- 47:19Speaker 1: come home and tell me? Why can't you just tell
- 47:23Speaker 1: me this to my face? Hey? Hey, hey, bro, come
- 47:26Speaker 1: on man, why are you my wife? Hey? Hey hey bro,
- 47:33Speaker 1: I know this is painful. Man. Now you don't know,

- 47:54Speaker 1: let me let me let me say, let me you
- 47:56Speaker 1: can I say something to you man? That's sitement what
- 47:59Speaker 1: it was. It was my wife on. You ain't got
- 48:01Speaker 1: to tell me. I'm gonna put her on in the second.
- 48:03Speaker 1: But let me say this to you man, same man
- 48:06Speaker 1: and wrap it up because I need to talk to
- 48:07Speaker 1: my wife. I just want you to know this, Brian.

- 50:37Speaker 1: have a p I at that airport, following y'all as
- 50:41Speaker 1: soon as before you land, I promise you. Dog, Let
- 50:44Speaker 1: me ask a boy at the airport with a picture
- 50:46Speaker 1: of her, follow her to whatever room a airport you
- 50:50Speaker 1: got to and I'm right behind it. I'm oh, let me,
- 50:55Speaker 1: let me let me at least say it felt bad
- 50:59Speaker 1: to do this good at that trifling? Do I know? You? Dirty?
- 51:09Speaker 1: And Brian crying? Yeah? Everything right? Right he was, But
- 51:16Speaker 1: Brian got over. I'm glad it was a prank. Okay together, happy,
- 51:26Speaker 1: he wanted to feel. How about yourself? Though? I feel
- 51:29Speaker 1: wonderful because you know what, Brian loves her so much

- 51:35Speaker 1: that relationship? Now watch watch, watch me walk into something?
- 51:40Speaker 1: What what is Brian ready to do? Now? He ready
- 51:43Speaker 1: to love you? See what I'm saying? Make it plain?

- 53:59Speaker 1: Buckle up, hold tight, we got it for you. Hear it.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Eve Strawberry Letta, all right, thank your nephew's subject. I'm
- 54:05Speaker 1: the wife, not the mistress. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a
- 54:11Speaker 1: forty seven year old wife and my husband and I
- 54:13Speaker 1: have been married for four years. During the entire four years,
- 54:17Speaker 1: all of the arguments that we have had that we
- 54:20Speaker 1: have are over his ex wife, the mother of his
- 54:23Speaker 1: only son. She lives two hours away, and at times
- 54:26Speaker 1: he will drive to see his son and this woman
- 54:29Speaker 1: will not let him visit with the child, depending on
- 54:32Speaker 1: her mood. When she is in a mood, it affects him,
- 54:36Speaker 1: so that affects me. I've had numerous conversations with him
- 54:40Speaker 1: about why she still affects him in that way, and
- 54:43Speaker 1: I've told him it means he still cares about her.
- 54:46Speaker 1: He always says he's irritated because it's a waste of
- 54:49Speaker 1: his time. He slipped up and mentioned one day that
- 54:52Speaker 1: she had company when he was there, and it messed
- 54:55Speaker 1: up his whole visit. To note there was a man
- 54:58Speaker 1: in the house he bought. I put that in the
- 55:02Speaker 1: back of my mind because I think that's what really
- 55:04Speaker 1: irks him. He's a great dad, but his son is fifteen,
- 55:08Speaker 1: so he's not really into his dad like that anymore.
- 55:11Speaker 1: He prefers to be with his friends on weekends, but
- 55:14Speaker 1: this woman and my husband insists on making him visit
- 55:18Speaker 1: the woman family. The woman's family lives ten minutes from us,
- 55:22Speaker 1: so my husband spends time over there when the woman
- 55:24Speaker 1: and his son are in town. She will not drop
- 55:28Speaker 1: the boy off over here, and all I can think
- 55:30Speaker 1: is that he still enjoys hanging around her family and
- 55:33Speaker 1: spending time with her, and that is why we argue.
- 55:36Speaker 1: He has no rebuttal. When I accuse him of putting
- 55:38Speaker 1: her first, all he says is that I would understand
- 55:41Speaker 1: if I had a child, And then that starts another argument.
- 55:47Speaker 1: I want to be the number one. I want to
- 55:48Speaker 1: be number one, but it's difficult with his ex wife
- 55:52Speaker 1: ever present in my marriage. There can only be one
- 55:55Speaker 1: missus Dowdry from here on out. Do I have to
- 55:58Speaker 1: wait until this boy is eighteen and have his own
- 56:01Speaker 1: life to be a privateority in my husband's life? Okay,
- 56:08Speaker 1: this letter is interesting and kind of confusing. I don't
- 56:11Speaker 1: think at all it's about priority. I think this letter
- 56:13Speaker 1: is about you thinking your husband still cares and has
- 56:17Speaker 1: feelings for his ex wife. I mean, I think that's
- 56:20Speaker 1: what's causing the problems. I do agree with you that
- 56:24Speaker 1: his son at fifteen wants to hang out with his
- 56:26Speaker 1: friends and not his dad. I mean, most teenagers want
- 56:29Speaker 1: to do that. But I completely disagree with you that
- 56:32Speaker 1: your husband's anger is because he still cares for his
- 56:34Speaker 1: ex anyone, anyone would be irritated if they drove two
- 56:39Speaker 1: hours and still couldn't see their child. Let me ask
- 56:43Speaker 1: you this though. There are a bunch of unanswered questions
- 56:46Speaker 1: that I have. Do you have a relationship at all
- 56:49Speaker 1: with the son? It certainly doesn't sound like it. You
- 56:52Speaker 1: know you're his stepmother, right. Why don't you go with
- 56:56Speaker 1: your husband when he goes to visit his son? I mean,
- 56:59Speaker 1: does he not want you to go? Or are you
- 57:01Speaker 1: not welcome over there? What is the issue? Why doesn't
- 57:05Speaker 1: the husband bring the son to your home? And why
- 57:08Speaker 1: doesn't the ex wife drop him off over there? A
- 57:11Speaker 1: lot of unanswered questions here. I think they've been left
- 57:14Speaker 1: out of this letter. It makes me think were you're
- 57:16Speaker 1: the mistress before? Is that why all of this is
- 57:19Speaker 1: going on? I don't know, food for thought. On my end,
- 57:23Speaker 1: I can also see your husband being irked by another
- 57:26Speaker 1: man sitting up in the house that he bought. It
- 57:28Speaker 1: still doesn't mean he has feelings for his ex. It
- 57:31Speaker 1: could simply mean to him, why doesn't this man get
- 57:33Speaker 1: them a house if they're heading in that direction. I
- 57:36Speaker 1: think he would prefer a better example of a man
- 57:39Speaker 1: around his son and nothing more than that, because that's
- 57:42Speaker 1: what parents do. They make it happen. So I think
- 57:47Speaker 1: you need to support this black dad, your husband, in
- 57:50Speaker 1: his effort to spend quality time with his son, and
- 57:52Speaker 1: be happy that he wants to do that. I just
- 57:55Speaker 1: think you need to please stop all this arguing and
- 57:57Speaker 1: just do your part to make this a real family
- 58:00Speaker 1: unit here. I think that's what's missing. Steve. Well, lady,
- 58:07Speaker 1: you've got so many things miskewed in this letter. You've
- 58:10Speaker 1: just I think your interpretation of a lot of stuff
- 58:14Speaker 1: is off. Now you're forty seven year old wife and
- 58:19Speaker 1: your husband and I have been married for four years,
- 58:22Speaker 1: So you got married at forty three according to this letter,
- 58:25Speaker 1: and I'm listening you don't have any children, so you
- 58:29Speaker 1: already are not going to understand a lot of what's
- 58:33Speaker 1: going on him during the four years. All the arguments
- 58:37Speaker 1: that we have are over his ex wife, the mother
- 58:40Speaker 1: of his only son. She lives two hours away, and
- 58:42Speaker 1: at times he would drive to see his son and
- 58:44Speaker 1: this woman would not let him visit with the child. Wow,
- 58:48Speaker 1: And that's depending on her mood. When she is in
- 58:51Speaker 1: a mood, it affects him so that it affects me.
- 58:56Speaker 1: I've had numa conversations about him or why she still
- 58:59Speaker 1: affects him that way, and I've told him it means
- 59:01Speaker 1: he still cares about her. What how did you pull
- 59:05Speaker 1: that out of that? What are you talking about? That's
- 59:09Speaker 1: not what that means at all. The man drives two hours,
- 59:14Speaker 1: can't see his son, and you think and then guess
- 59:19Speaker 1: what you do? It affects him, so that affects me.
- 59:24Speaker 1: This letter is filled with how you're affected. You ignore
- 59:29Speaker 1: the fact that this man is trying to have relationship
- 59:31Speaker 1: with his son to drove two hours, and then this
- 59:33Speaker 1: helfer who is using the child as a pond, which
- 59:38Speaker 1: they oftentimes do, and now he's irritated because he can't
- 59:43Speaker 1: see his son. Now you still care about her? Why
- 59:47Speaker 1: did you get that from? How? And it affects him?
- 59:51Speaker 1: So now it affects me. It's always about you. He says,
- 59:56Speaker 1: he's irritated because it's a waste of time. That don't
- 59:59Speaker 1: sound like a fact. That's true. He slipped up and
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: mentioned one day that he had company. He didn't slip up.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: He told you you don't slip This ain't a slip off.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: He told you one day. I'll tell you when to
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: come back. You get response coming up at twenty three
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: minutes after the our subject of today's Strawberry letter, I'm
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: the wife, not the mistress. M all right, we'll get
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters. Subject I'm the wife, not the mistress. Okay,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: so you're forty seven years old, you've been married for
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: four years, you have no children, and during the four years,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: all who you have an argument over is about his
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: ex wife, the mother of his only son. She lives
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: two hours away. He drives there, and sometimes a woman
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: uses the child as a pun and won't let him
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: see he's irritated. Yo. Takeaway from that whole thing is
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: the reason when it affects him, it affects you. And
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: the reason he's affected by that's because he still cares
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: about her. What are you kidding me? But then when
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: he tells you he's really irritated because it's a waste
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: of his time, which is true, you get that wrong.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: And then here's another thing. You say he slipped up
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: one time and mentioned one day that she had company
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: when he was there, and it messed up his whole
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: visit to know that that was a man in the
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: house he bought. He didn't slip off. That's not a
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: slip up story. I went to see my son and
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: ticked me off that there's another dude in here in
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: the house. I bought. Men feel that way. I'm telling
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: you right now every man I know would feel that way,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: including me. I'm sending up here and pavement is how
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: his fool's got his feet up over here in the
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: house I didn't bought. I'm paying for a court and
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: gay to her. I gotta take care of my son now.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: This dude over here, cook it, man, please, I know
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: getting here well? He man as he should be. I
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: put that in the back of my mind because I
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: think that's what really irks him. Yeah, it really does
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: irk him. It ain't had nothing to do, but he
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: care about her. He's a great dad. But his son
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: is fifteen, so he's not really into his dad like
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: that anymore. He prefers to be with his friends on
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: the weekend. Are you crazy? Are you crazy? Lady? So
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: now you're trying to sweep under the rug the father
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: son relationship because he's a teenager and his assessment is
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: he really ain't into his dad like that no more.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: He really is into his dad. Fifteen year old boys,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: they might take him for granted, but they be into
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: their dad because if that dad ain't there, we out
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: a whole nother problem. But you're so selfish, you can't
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: see this. You's a selfish lady, man. But this woman
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: and my husband insist on making him visit. He has
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to visit my husband and this woman insist that he visited.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: What are you talking about. You have to spend time
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: with your children. You have to invest in your son.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: He fifteen, he's at an impressionable age. What are you
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: talking about? This woman and my husband insists on making
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: him visit he got to he asked for the visitation rights. Man,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: you ain't got no kids. You're tripping. You're tripping, you
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: really are. And then this woman's family lives ten minutes
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: from us, so my husband spend times over there when
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: a woman and his son are in town. She will
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: not drop the boy off over here, don't you see?
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: So now if he want to see your son, he
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: gotta go over there. She will not drop the boy
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: off over here. She's using this boy as a pond.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: She's making him jump through all the hoops. All I
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: can think that he steals enjoys hanging around her family
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: and spending time with her. And that's why how you
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: get that the woman won't drop the boy off. He
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: got to go over that. He must enjoy spending time
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: with the family. He don't want to go over there,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: but it's his only chance to see in the sun.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: But you so damned selfish and self sin it you
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: keep making this about you. You're gonna mess up a
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: relationship that's well needed. And this boy gonna be lost
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: without his dad. And then when I tell him that
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: he has no rebuttal, when I accuse him of putting
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: her first, because what Roberto, is it, because why can
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: you rebuttle to something that's not the cause. He's dumbfounded.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: He really can't believe how ignorant you are. That's really
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: what the damn I'm married? Is she serious? He doesn't
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: have a rebuttal for that. All he says is that
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I would understand if I had a child, and then
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: that starts another argument that ain't his faultry hand child?
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Y'all got married at forty. I want to be the
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: number one, but it's difficult with his ex wife ever
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: present in my marriage because she's using the child as
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: a pawn. Don't you get it? Don't be stupid. The
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: woman knows she's creating dissension in your house, and she
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: uses the son to create the dissension. She knows exactly
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: what she's doing because she's cunning. So now she's making
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: his life as miserable as she can. But you don't
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: see that though, since you know everything. Don't you know
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: how women can be? Don't you? I bet every woman
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: listening to this knows how they can be. Do I
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: have to wait until the boys eighteen and has his
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: own life to be a priority in my own husband's life,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: You're a priority in his life. But his son is
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: a priority too, And when he turns eighteen, I got
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: more news for you. Children don't go away at eighteen.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: This ain't false to care. When his son turns eighteen,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: he gonna still need his dad. My son still need me.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I wish they'd go away somewhere, but they don't. They don't,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: they don't, and they stick around and they need us.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: And that's what parents do. And you need to realize
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: that you're a part of a man that is a parent.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: So you should start acting more like a parent instead
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: of a spoil self senate wife. You're gonna make him
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: regret knowing you, lady, keep on. Yeah, that's probably why
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: you ain't been married before. All right, Steve, thank you.

- 1:06:53Speaker 1: news as well. Right after this, you're listening to Gas
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: prices are at an all time high. Rising energy costs gasoline, coal,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: and natural gas are a major driver of high inflation.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Experts say. Ongoing supply chain issues and labor shortages are
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: driving the higher gas prices. Drivers are paying one hundred
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: one dollar and fifty cent more per gallon than a
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: year ago. And that's according to Doug Schoop, a spokesperson
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: for a Triple A. It means the person who has
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: a typical midsize sedan with a fourteen gallon size fuel
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: tank will pay twenty one dollars more to fill up
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: that tank today than last year. On Sunday, Senator Chuck
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Schumer called on President Biden to tap into the nation's
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Strategic Petroleum Reserve to provide temporary relief at the pump,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: especially ahead of holiday travel. California continues to top the
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: nation's most expensive markets at four dollars and sixty two
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: cents a gallon. That's a lot of expenses. Steve, does
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: this affect you at all? I mean, I know, what
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: would you say, Nephew, Hey, I don't know. He ain't
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: pump no gas. Just what affects me? What? Yes, it
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: affects me? Okay? When hi, because now gas is more expensive?
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: And how does it affect you? Well, Tommy, I don't
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: know if you know this or not, but they don't
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: give me free gas. You gotta pay for it. I
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: have to pay for gas too, So yes, it affects me.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: But you didn't ask me if I feel it. You
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: ask me if it affects me, Well, do you feel it?
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Affecting and feeling we mean the same thing. Okay, okay,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: well listen to this. Listen to this right here, and
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I want to say this to everybody listening. How much
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: is gas or gallery right now? Well? No, you can't
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: hear the story how much? No, No, listen to me
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: and I'll give you some I'll give you some numbers.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: In LA. It's four dollars and sixty two cents a gallon. Okay,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: now okay, now right there, right there, that's high. If
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: gas go to six dollars and fifty cents a gallon, Tommy,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: is your ass not gonna buy the gas? I got
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: to get the guards. I rest on fill up case
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: close wells you no, no, no point, as it may
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: affect me, but I got it. It's gas. Okay, if
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: it goes up? Are you still gonna fly? Pray? What
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: did I have to do with cass? Because you got
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: the kr gas? I know that gas high? If if
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: if the car gas went up, I know the plane gass.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: See right, there. That's why are you talking about something
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: that our listening audiences and has no interest in. This
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: is bad radio. I got to start a camp about people. Morning.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: We're going to talk about Thanksgiving dinner sides right after this.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: You're listening to the show. So we know that the
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: turkey is the basis of the Thanksgiving meal. But for us,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: we love those sides, don't we. The sides are the
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: real stars. Nutrition is from the Good Housekeeping Institute have
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: ranked the most popular sides from healthiest to least healthy.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Pay attention to this, Steve, please all right. Brussels sprouts
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: number one, number one, never been on our ever, right ever,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: number one, most popular, healthiest, healthiest side on Thanksgiving that
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: among us has head Brussels sprouts. I know him, all right, Okay,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Brussels sprouts are a good source of vitamins, AC and
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: K and day. Okay. Butternut squash that's number never wait,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, butter nuts squash it. Green bean
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: casserole that's number three. This is the healthiest. Okay. If
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: you put your green beans in the castle role in
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: my house, you sent it. That's a sin. Okay. Now,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: this is kind of half right and half wrong. Sweet
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: potato casserole, that's number four. We just like the sweet
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: What do what do castle? Role means? What white temple? Well,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: white and white porcelain dish? Nice cast role? Don't they
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: put like nuts on top of it like we do?
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Sweet potatoes? Okay, okay, we're it's coming, it's getting home.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: It's getting close now, um mashed potatoes. We don't really
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: never really, we don't know. We got the dress. Here
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: we go, here we go. This is us right here,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: number six, dinner rolls, dinner rolls, Yes, dress number seven,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: cranberry sauce. Who houses this called absolute must? Julie? I know,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: I know, but why is it number seven? Stop wearing
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: about the number? Boy? They're coming, But there's ocean spraying. Now,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: there's ocean spray. Go here? Yeah, all right? Dressing five
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: eight eight eight. Because it has a lot of calories,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: it's high end sodium to sleep. That's why it's number one.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Number nine. This is embarrassing, Mac and cheese? Is it
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: number nine? I'm leaving at this point? So they're just
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: doing the black people lass. I mean, we used everything, everything,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: because I'm not eating a Brussels frout who I've never
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: heard of that, I have a question. I need you
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: all advice. When Shirley finished, okay, all right, all right,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: let me do number ten one more gravy. You got
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: to be playing gray ten people because it's made from
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: grease drippings and the neck and giblets and all that,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: so it's not very healthy. All right, Okay, this is
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: according to a Good Housekeeping Okay, call what's your question? Okay,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: so y'all know. I don't know if y'all know this,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: but my sister in law is white, and so the
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: green being cast roll huh my my husband's little brothers
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Mari to a worker, to Harker and he he was
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: he was in San Diego or something. He was that
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: hold on, Hold on, car save your question for the
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: next break. The whole where he met the white girl.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Are you going to get the backstory? Yeah? I bet
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: it's gonna be scream being cast role in there? Yeah,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: So how do I tell her? I don't hold girl?
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: All right, We'll come back with Carlos Thanksgiving family question.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: You're listening to morning show. Before we went to break,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Carla had a question about Thanksgiving and sides. It looks
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: like this is a black and white issue. Blackness and
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: white sides. Yeah, you know the culture of the cultural
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: differences and where we prefer with our sides for Thanksgiving
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: black white Thanksgiving. My sister in law, it's white. How
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: do I tell her about the green being castleroll that
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: I will, really and it's a tradition. But Steve needed
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: to know a black backstory about your not a black story,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: a backstory about your Why do you need to know
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: all of this? This is about listen to me this,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: sweet Becky, let me tell you what we're doing. No,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: I'm just gonna be at the house. Listen to me.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: To really make people feel warm and welcome. I think
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: we should fix items as more inclusives. And black people
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: don't like thing they mosa mosa do whatever talk brother, family,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: don't like green beans up under stuff you reach in
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: the part. They should be in a pot by their
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: self where we could see if we getting potatoes within
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: turket baking with it. What we can't do is scoop
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: it up and see a whole lot of stuff on
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: the play carrias and onions and love, pearl and juice
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: and all this here. We just want green beans. So
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: you can't do this right here and we really don't
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: care for punking path. If you stop and maybe your
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: dressing about the comfort inside of it, not on top,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: you know, in a pant. We'll do a round of
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: would you rather? At thirty three minutes after. Right after
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: this you're listening too, it's time for a round of
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: would you rather? Here we go, would you rather be
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: placed in a home when you become old or elderly?
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: Or would you rather live with your children in a
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: tiny house. I'm gonna go to the home and spread. Yeah,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna gonna give me my check because I'm gonna
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna have it right now. I'm gonna be down
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: and I'm gonna have a couple of women down at
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: this home. Everything. What I'm not gonna do with up
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: in this little tiny ass house. That's not going to happen.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: I'm not living in the tiny house. Now. Put me
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: in the home with this money, and watch when you
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: come to the home, Watch how much of it don't
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I'm rocking at the home. I'm what. I'm at the
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: home base, but I'm pim pimp at the home. You
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: hear me, I'll rock you on your rocker. I'm at
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: the Friday Night dance every Friday on my walker. Yeah,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna be at the home. You're kicking it. I'm
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: kicking kicking it, all right. Would you rather run across
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: the four or five in LA and all that in La?
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Or would you rather go shopping Atlantics Mall in Atlanta
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: on Saturday? Full five? Saturday? Give it to me again?
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: She all right? Would you rather run across the four
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: or five in LA and all that traffic? Okay? Or

- 1:18:24Speaker 1: I'm not running across that damn fall five, y'all. I'm
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: going across that four five. I'm not running across that
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: full five. Give me that shopping bag. I don't give it.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: I run through Linux. But what you can shoot at somebody,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: you can't do a damn thing with them cars coming
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: fast and you can get shot on the full five?

- 1:19:26Speaker 1: you rather have everything you eat mother than white gravy
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: for a whole week? Or would you rather for it
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: to be covered in hot sauce, white gravy on everything
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: you need for hot everything possible. I don't love a
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: damn how much you go with this hot sauce, that

- 1:20:24Speaker 1: about all this. Here's a lot of stuff. You know what,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: though it countered away from that, well, okay, away from that,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: because you know, look, it's time for closing marks. So
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: let me try to put something together right because I could,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: I could run it down about these menu, but we
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: got time for that. You know what my closing remarks.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: He is today and a lot of people can relate
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: to what I'm about to say. I'm so grateful that
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: I have a relationship with God, because, man, it just
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: show helps me out. Man, It helps me get centered,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: It helps me live in with peace of mind. It
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: gives me a level of comfort that I would not
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: have if I didn't have this relationship with him. I'm
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: just so grateful for that, man, because in this world
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: we live in, there's so much stimuli in all of
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: our lives. You know, you wake up in the morning
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: and you grab your cell phone. You want to check
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: your messages, your emails, anything came through. You want to
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: check your Facebook page, see if anybody called, and you
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: check your ig see what's going on, check your DMS
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: and all this here. What I've learned is the best
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: way for me to start my day is to start
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: my day with prayer and meditation. That's the best way
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: to start my day. And you know, when I missed that,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: I really noticed something. If I miss it in the morning,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: But when I take the time to sit up and
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: just say thank you, when I can wiggle my toes
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: or blink my eyes or take a deep breath, or
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: or realize that today is another opportunity and no matter
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: what happened, He's given me this other chance, you know.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: And and then I got a brand new eighty four thousand,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: six hundred seconds today to deal with. I just say
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: thank you. I just say thank you for all the
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: things I can think of, my health, my family, my strength,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: my my my understanding, my wisdom, my will, the things
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: he's done for me, the things he's given me, the
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: things he's about to do for me. By the time
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: I spend that time saying thank you for all those things,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: right there, man, it's starts my day off the right way,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: because you know what, when you focus on your blessings
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: and not on your burdens, it changes your perspective. Y'all.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Now listen, Do I know you have some troubles? I
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: bet you do. Do you have some things you gotta
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: contend with? Oh? Yes you do. Are you facing some
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: things that you might not be sure of and it's
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: creating a little anxiety? Oh yes it is. But it's
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: that relationship that I have with God that allows me
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: to know that I'm able to cope with it all.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: And I've said this a hundred times on the show,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: but I'm gonna say it again because if you think
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: of all your bad days, if you think of all
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: the days you thought you wasn't gonna make it, that
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: you didn't have answers, do you think of all the
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: times you've had horrible days? I just want to remind
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: you in each one of those days that your track
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: record for surviving those types of days is one that's
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: valuable information, man. And with that information right there, it
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: always lets me know that I will survive whatever else
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: happens to me. It's that relationship that I had with God,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: man that settles me down. That keeps me focused. That
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: allows me to stay on track even when I get
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: off track. And do I get off track? Yes? I do?
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Why because I'm human? Yes, it's some days, man, when
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: I wake up and I don't say thank you. Yes,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: some days I wake up and I just get started.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Maybe I woke up later. Maybe I just jumped up
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: and I heard something that went out stairs and I
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: just got to move it around, and I didn't say
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: thank you. Y'all had them days? I had them days
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: when I want to tell somebody off. Y'all? Do I
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: had them days when somebody that got on my nerves
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: and I decide that I'm going straighten them out myself. Yeah,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: I do. I have all them days, just like you.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: But when I take a moment to pause and I
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: get a chance to sit with myself and go, hey, man,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: is it worth it? Every time? Is not? Yeah? Man, Steve,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: you can say this, or you can go do that,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: or you can tell them off, but really do you care?
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: Like I'm under attack right now, somebody's trying to attack me,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: and you know what, I don't even care. I've got
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: the warning signal that the attack is coming. I don't
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: even care. I don't even care. Do what you want
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: to do, what you're gonna do. I'm tired of people
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: thinking they got some control over me because they have
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: the ability to say this online. Say what you want
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: to say. You know what's gonna happen. I'm gonna keep
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: rising because you have nothing to do with my rise.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: You are not my God, you're not the architect of
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: my story. You're not my savior. You're nothing to me,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: and I will not give you one moment of power
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: over me. So write what you want to write, and
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: say what you want to say. When you get through,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna rise. And this message is to my cousin.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: I got a big cousin who loves me. Man always
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: tries to protect me. Text me the other day, say uncle, Ma,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: I get tired of color. I get tired when I
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: hear people talking about you. Let them talk, man. When
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: they get through talking, I'm still here. They don't even
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: know me. Man, don't even let that affect you. I
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: don't care no more. I truly don't care no more.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: Say what you want to say, do what you want
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: to do. God is my savior. God is my strength.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: God is my rock, And you can't do nothing about
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: that those are my closing remarks today, and I know
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: what I just said. A whole lot of people feel
