Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: So after you do a Say of the Union, the
- 0:03Speaker 1: question is didn't land with the American people?
- 0:06Speaker 2: Well? Void did it? Ever?
- 0:09Speaker 1: CBS poll has come out and said that seventy six
- 0:12Speaker 1: percent approved of President Trump's address to Congress. I cannot
- 0:18Speaker 1: tell you how massive that actually is. The majority of
- 0:22Speaker 1: Americans overwhelmingly supporting Donald Trump's decisions, and viewers who watched
- 0:28Speaker 1: it said, yes, we approve of what Donald Trump had
- 0:31Speaker 1: to say in his speech, which was the longest Say
- 0:33Speaker 1: of the Union ever to that joint session of Congress
- 0:36Speaker 1: Tuesday night. Now, Trump boasted about the many accomplishments since
- 0:41Speaker 1: being inaugurated January twentieth, and exclaimed, we are just getting started.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Did the American people believe and support what the President
- 0:51Speaker 1: was saying? Yes, A whopping seventy six percent of those
- 0:55Speaker 1: watching said they approved of Trump's first second term speech
- 1:00Speaker 1: to Congress. And this is again coming from CBS News.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:05Speaker 1: One of the X factors of this is also just
- 1:08Speaker 1: how negative and honestly psycho the Democrats look. They wouldn't
- 1:13Speaker 1: even stand and clap when someone gets into West.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Point who had lost a loved one.
- 1:17Speaker 1: They wouldn't stand and clap for a young boy who
- 1:22Speaker 1: has made a Secret Service agent. They wouldn't clap when
- 1:26Speaker 1: we talked about bringing actual terrorists to killed Americans at
- 1:30Speaker 1: ABU Gate to justice in the United States of America.
- 1:34Speaker 2: And I'm going to have more on that list in
- 1:35Speaker 2: a moment.
- 1:36Speaker 1: But that may be why the President landed this speech
- 1:40Speaker 1: so well, is because the American people could see just
- 1:43Speaker 1: how much the Democratic Party hates basic things that all
- 1:48Speaker 1: Americans should be in favor of.
- 1:51Speaker 2: It shouldn't be a partisan issue.
- 1:54Speaker 1: If you have a president saying we're bringing terrorists to justice,
- 1:58Speaker 1: it shouldn't be a partisans an issue. To stand for
- 2:01Speaker 1: a young boy who is fighting for his life with
- 2:04Speaker 1: cancer and surviving and then being made a sea you know, a.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Secret service agent.
- 2:11Speaker 1: This is one of those moments that everyone should clap for,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and yet the Democrats refuse to stand. So let's get
- 2:20Speaker 1: to the poll numbers and really break this down. Not
- 2:23Speaker 1: only did ninety one percent say that Donald Trump spent
- 2:28Speaker 1: time on issues they cared about, meaning that is a
- 2:31Speaker 1: speech that laid it. Look, I've gotten to help on
- 2:33Speaker 1: a couple of different State of the Union addresses. And
- 2:36Speaker 1: if you walked into the presence at miss President, we
- 2:39Speaker 1: just wrote you a speech that ninety one percent of
- 2:40Speaker 1: the country is going to connect with and say that
- 2:43Speaker 1: you you talked about an issue they cared about. Let
- 2:46Speaker 1: me just tell you, you would be a god in
- 2:48Speaker 1: the political speech writing world. Okay, I've never seen a
- 2:52Speaker 1: speech to my knowledge that rated afterwards at ninety one percent.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That is the holy grail where one percent of the people
- 3:01Speaker 1: watching said, hey, you talked about something that I genuinely
- 3:04Speaker 1: cared about. Now, that is unbelievable on its face. But
- 3:09Speaker 1: then you go back to the other question, Okay, was
- 3:13Speaker 1: the speech something you watched for a long period of time.
- 3:16Speaker 1: That simply comes down to an issue of entertainment. Are
- 3:20Speaker 1: you engaged? Is the president speaking to you or is
- 3:23Speaker 1: he talking about things that you don't care about? Well,
- 3:26Speaker 1: ninety one percent said the president spend time on issues
- 3:29Speaker 1: that cared about, and then seventy four percent said the
- 3:34Speaker 1: address was presidential and also informative and entertaining.
- 3:40Speaker 2: A total of seventy one.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Percent after that said the speech was inspiring to them. Now,
- 3:46Speaker 1: let's go back to speech writing here and say the unions,
- 3:49Speaker 1: when you're writing a speech like this, if you could
- 3:52Speaker 1: walk into any president say hey, I'm going to give
- 3:54Speaker 1: you a speech that ninety one percent are going to
- 3:56Speaker 1: say connected with them in a way. Seventy four percent
- 3:59Speaker 1: said that your address was quote presidential, and then seventy
- 4:03Speaker 1: one percent, mister President, said the speech was inspiring to them.
- 4:07Speaker 1: That is, these are numbers that I would literally argue
- 4:11Speaker 1: are virtually unobtainable. Here's where it gets even crazier than that.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Sixty two percent of the people watching the speech last
- 4:20Speaker 1: night said it was a unifying speech. Now, there are
- 4:23Speaker 1: a lot of moments in there where the Democratic Party
- 4:25Speaker 1: didn't clap and refuse to clap for things that I
- 4:28Speaker 1: just mentioned. And when you look at that, the American
- 4:32Speaker 1: people noticed it and they understood just how radical the
- 4:36Speaker 1: Democratic Party has become, how disgruntled they are, how angry
- 4:39Speaker 1: they are, and how they refuse to stand for anything
- 4:42Speaker 1: if there are Republicans involved in it, which is like
- 4:46Speaker 1: exactly what the American.
- 4:47Speaker 2: People don't want.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Seventy one percent said they found the speech inspiring, sixty
- 4:55Speaker 1: two percent said it was unifying.
- 4:57Speaker 2: And then here's the other part.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Half of Americans, right, we're very much a divided country.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Forty six percent said it was a divisive speech. Less
- 5:07Speaker 1: than half. That is an incredibly low number when a
- 5:10Speaker 1: country is divided, I would argue forty eight, forty eight.
- 5:14Speaker 2: So what does that mean.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It means the president connected with independent voters, and he
- 5:20Speaker 1: connected with actually a very large group of Democratic voters
- 5:24Speaker 1: or people that identify themselves as Democratic leaning. Now, when
- 5:28Speaker 1: asks how the speech makes them feel, and this is
- 5:32Speaker 1: about emotions and do you feel like the president is.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Connecting with you?
- 5:36Speaker 1: This goes back to that I feel your pain comments
- 5:38Speaker 1: that were made so famous back in the day, right, like,
- 5:42Speaker 1: if the American people feel like you are listening to
- 5:45Speaker 1: them and that you are connecting with them, they will
- 5:49Speaker 1: tell you that number one, they'll trust you. Number two,
- 5:53Speaker 1: they'll give you a longer runway to deliver on some
- 5:56Speaker 1: of your promises. And they also feel like you are
- 6:00Speaker 1: connecting with them and their real struggles in life. It
- 6:03Speaker 1: goes back to the basic issues like it's the economy stupid.
- 6:06Speaker 2: So when you look at.
- 6:09Speaker 1: CBS suits asked how the speech made you feel, sixty
- 6:13Speaker 1: eight percent of Americans said they watched speech that the
- 6:16Speaker 1: speech made them feel hopeful. So almost seven out of
- 6:21Speaker 1: ten Americans that watched speech said that president made them
- 6:23Speaker 1: feel hopeful for better times. Fifty four percent, which is
- 6:28Speaker 1: more than the Republican Party.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Conservative voters said that the speech made them proud, twenty
- 6:35Speaker 1: seven percent said that speech made them worried, and sixteen
- 6:39Speaker 1: percent said they were angry. Now, let's be clear about
- 6:42Speaker 1: what that could mean. The angry could be your angry
- 6:45Speaker 1: as a Republican that the government has been wasting so
- 6:48Speaker 1: much your money when the President was running through the
- 6:50Speaker 1: list of all the waste fraud abuse, right the anger
- 6:54Speaker 1: could come from you watching the Democrats that wouldn't even
- 6:56Speaker 1: stand for us capturing terrorists and bring them to Joe
- 7:00Speaker 1: like things like that are refusing to stand for a
- 7:03Speaker 1: child in a moment of grief that turned into an
- 7:07Speaker 1: incredible moment of hope, right Like, that could make you
- 7:10Speaker 1: angry that the left was doing that. So the angry
- 7:12Speaker 1: category to have that low of a quote angry category
- 7:16Speaker 1: is actually very good for a speech. Now, when asked
- 7:19Speaker 1: whether the president has a clear plan to battle inflation,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and this comes back to policies, and it also goes
- 7:25Speaker 1: back to what I said a moment ago, it's the
- 7:27Speaker 1: economy stupid. When asked whether the president has a clear
- 7:30Speaker 1: plan to battle inflation, sixty eight percent said yes, and
- 7:37Speaker 1: thirty two percent said no. That means almost seven out
- 7:41Speaker 1: of ten Americans believe the president has a clear plan
- 7:44Speaker 1: to battle inflation.
- 7:46Speaker 2: That is a home run now.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Respondents were also asked about Trump's plans for waste and
- 7:51Speaker 1: government seventy seven percent, so the number goes up even higher,
- 7:54Speaker 1: almost eight and ten Americans like the plan.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Just twenty three percent dislike it. What does that mean?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Democrats should pay attention to that number in office and
- 8:02Speaker 1: leaders of the Democratic Party and realized they need to
- 8:05Speaker 1: stop fighting against DOGE and embrace it because almost eight
- 8:09Speaker 1: out of ten voters seventy seven percent, so they like
- 8:12Speaker 1: Trump's plan for stopping.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Waste in government.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Immigration and the border another example, seventy seven percent, so
- 8:20Speaker 1: they support the presidents Almost eight out of ten Americans
- 8:22Speaker 1: say yes. Ukraine and Russia and the President standing up
- 8:26Speaker 1: and saying We're not sending any more money, We're not
- 8:28Speaker 1: going to send you these arms. We want peace. Well,
- 8:31Speaker 1: Democrats thought that was an issue that would help them.
- 8:34Speaker 1: It backfired massively. The President standing up to Zelenski, seventy
- 8:39Speaker 1: three percent of Americans that they were in favor of it.
- 8:42Speaker 2: That's unbelievable.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Even on the issue of tariffs, these tariffs that the
- 8:46Speaker 1: presidents put in. Sixty five percent of Americans said they
- 8:50Speaker 1: support the president, and that means they're listening to the
- 8:53Speaker 1: president when he talks about these tariffs. Now, there's also
- 8:57Speaker 1: another issue of crime. Eight percent of Americans, so almost
- 9:01Speaker 1: seven out of ten voters said Trump described the country's
- 9:03Speaker 1: crime problem accurately, and seventy six percent said they approved
- 9:09Speaker 1: of Al Green, the Democrat, being removed from the chamber
- 9:13Speaker 1: after disrupting the President's speech. So all of the antics
- 9:16Speaker 1: of the Democrats last night backs fired in just the
- 9:20Speaker 1: most glorious way ever. Now, these numbers I just gave
- 9:25Speaker 1: you all came from CBS News, so they had to
- 9:28Speaker 1: have been on a suicide watch after they had to
- 9:30Speaker 1: report this as a news organization, because this is not
- 9:34Speaker 1: what they were hoping to tell you. If you thought
- 9:38Speaker 1: the Democrats were going to learn anything from Donald Trump's
- 9:41Speaker 1: speech or how America reacted to it with the incredible
- 9:44Speaker 1: poll numbers, well you'd be wrong, because they are all
- 9:48Speaker 1: now saying that they didn't do enough to disrupt the
- 9:51Speaker 1: President of the United States of America. Even ABC News
- 9:56Speaker 1: is Sunney Houston said all the Democrats should have walked out,
- 10:00Speaker 1: ring Donald Trump's address that on the view saying the
- 10:04Speaker 1: Democratic lawmakers should have I guess san Essence said, we're
- 10:07Speaker 1: standing with you. To the one man that actually was
- 10:11Speaker 1: booted from the night, Sonny Hostin said, you know, while
- 10:14Speaker 1: I didn't watch it, I was looking for signs of
- 10:17Speaker 1: an opposition party, which is what the Democratic Party must
- 10:21Speaker 1: be at this point, not a resistance because resistance is passive.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Opposition is active.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I think that is what I saw when Representative Val
- 10:32Speaker 1: Green stood up and said, quote, you don't have a
- 10:35Speaker 1: mandate to take away Medicaid.
- 10:37Speaker 2: And he was tossed out.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I expected the rest of his Democratic caucus, his colleagues,
- 10:43Speaker 1: to walk out with him, because alone you can survive,
- 10:47Speaker 1: but together you thrive. She went on to say later
- 10:51Speaker 1: in the program that quote, that is the energy that
- 10:54Speaker 1: we need. They should have stood with him in solidarity.
- 10:58Speaker 1: We had Jean p Here on this show yesterday and
- 11:02Speaker 1: she said, we have to have a sense of urgency
- 11:05Speaker 1: as we move forward, and we cannot do it the
- 11:08Speaker 1: way we have in the past. This is not normal.
- 11:12Speaker 1: It is a five alarm fire. And what I want
- 11:15Speaker 1: to say to the Democrats is you can't play by
- 11:19Speaker 1: the rules with a party that has thrown away the
- 11:22Speaker 1: rule book. You cannot do it now. This is coming
- 11:25Speaker 1: from the same people that tried to put Donald Trump
- 11:28Speaker 1: in prison and anyone else around him. They're the ones
- 11:31Speaker 1: that advocated for the raid of Marlago. They're the ones
- 11:35Speaker 1: that said that the people around January the sixth were
- 11:39Speaker 1: the same as terrorists that attack this country on nine
- 11:42Speaker 1: to eleven, you know, Sama bin Laden and al Qaeda.
- 11:45Speaker 1: These are also the same people that are now actively
- 11:48Speaker 1: advocating for anarchy or another word, democrats obsessed over insurrectionists.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Now it seems that the Democratic Party is calling for
- 11:58Speaker 1: exactly that anarchy, insurrection, but not from people outside the capital.
- 12:03Speaker 1: They're literally advocating for it by the people that have
- 12:05Speaker 1: been elected inside of our government. You may have also
- 12:10Speaker 1: seen during Donald Trump's joint address to Congress, the purple
- 12:13Speaker 1: haired congresswoman who went viral Tuesday night for scowling throughout
- 12:18Speaker 1: the entirety of President Donald Trump's addressed to Congress. Well,
- 12:22Speaker 1: she decided it was not enough just to scowl at
- 12:24Speaker 1: the president all night. She even put out a special
- 12:27Speaker 1: video on x saying this.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I was really stunned that the election was fought over
- 12:36Speaker 3: the cost of living and people families who live paycheck
- 12:40Speaker 3: to paycheck, concerned about it whether or not they were
- 12:44Speaker 3: going to be able to pay their bills, be able
- 12:46Speaker 3: to pay for the healthcare in some cases, even putting
- 12:48Speaker 3: food on the table. And the addressed tonight didn't address
- 12:53Speaker 3: any of those issues about cost of living and the
- 12:56Speaker 3: fact that people live paycheck to paycheck, and what we
- 12:58Speaker 3: ought to be doing and the Congress is to make
- 13:01Speaker 3: sure that we are helping people to secure an economic
- 13:06Speaker 3: future for themselves and their families.
- 13:09Speaker 1: By the way, let's just hit pause there and go
- 13:11Speaker 1: what to the CBS poll numbers actually did tell us
- 13:14Speaker 1: about the speech.
- 13:16Speaker 2: The people watching the.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Speech definitely believe that the president was actually talking about
- 13:21Speaker 1: those things. In fact, when askedor the President had a
- 13:24Speaker 1: clear plan to battle inflation in the speech, sixty eight
- 13:29Speaker 1: percent said yes, and it was a plan that they
- 13:32Speaker 1: could get behind. So what is she actually complaining about.
- 13:37Speaker 1: She's complaining about the fact that Democratic Party lost the
- 13:40Speaker 1: last election. And that is when she tells you the
- 13:43Speaker 1: truth about how much she hates Donald Trump.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Keep listening.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I found the speech to be vengeful, revengeful and instead
- 13:55Speaker 3: of being lifting the hopes and the aspirations of people
- 14:01Speaker 3: of the United States, of how we move forward as
- 14:04Speaker 3: a great nation that we are, what the vision for
- 14:07Speaker 3: our future was. It devolved into just vindictiveness and self
- 14:18Speaker 3: agilation on behalf of Donald Trump did not address the
- 14:25Speaker 3: issue of unchecked billionaires like his friend Ally and Elon Musk.
- 14:35Speaker 3: It was not a speech befitting a great world leader
- 14:40Speaker 3: or a great president of the United States.
- 14:44Speaker 2: So there you have it.
- 14:45Speaker 1: They're angry about Elon Musk cutting their waist, their fraud
- 14:50Speaker 1: and their abuse. They're also angry to Elon Musk for
- 14:52Speaker 1: apparently being wealthy, but they have no problem with George
- 14:56Speaker 1: Soros or any of the other billionaires on the left
- 14:58Speaker 1: that have been financing this type of quote anarchy and
- 15:03Speaker 1: revengeful vengefulness to quote her. So at the end of
- 15:07Speaker 1: the day, if you thought Democrats were going to learn
- 15:09Speaker 1: from their mistakes, apparently they're not at all, and that
- 15:13Speaker 1: may actually be a good thing for Donald Trump and
- 15:15Speaker 1: his agenda.
- 15:17Speaker 2: So let's just go back to the other.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Big moment in the night for the Democratic Party, and
- 15:22Speaker 1: that was when there is a guy by the name
- 15:25Speaker 1: of Representative Al Green. He had unruly behavior that clearly
- 15:30Speaker 1: he had premeditated and decided to yell at the President
- 15:33Speaker 1: United States of America. He was warned that he was
- 15:36Speaker 1: breaking the rules. He obviously wanted to be kicked out
- 15:40Speaker 1: of the Joint Session of Congress. He was successful at
- 15:43Speaker 1: doing that, and now he is a leader and some
- 15:46Speaker 1: sort of hero for the left. So will anything be done?
- 15:50Speaker 2: Well?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Now we know that the House of Representatives has moved
- 15:53Speaker 1: to advance the censure of Representative Algreen, that Democrat from Texas,
- 15:58Speaker 1: after his behavior during Donald Trump's address to Congress on
- 16:02Speaker 1: Tuesday night. The vote, though, shows that Democrats yet again
- 16:07Speaker 1: have learned nothing. It was a two eleven to two
- 16:10Speaker 1: oh nine vote. The House voted to move forward with
- 16:13Speaker 1: the censorship of Green after the House Sergeant arms escort
- 16:16Speaker 1: him out over his refusal to follow decorum during the speech.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Every member of Congress knows what that decorum is. House
- 16:25Speaker 1: Speaker Mike Johnson interrupted Donald Trump's speech as Democrats began
- 16:30Speaker 1: exhibiting unrually behavior, and he warned them that they needed
- 16:33Speaker 1: to quote observe the House decorum, mister President. Members are
- 16:38Speaker 1: directed to uphold and maintain decorum in the House and
- 16:41Speaker 1: to cease any further disruptions. Johnson said that's your warning.
- 16:47Speaker 1: When Democrats continued to exhibit the behavior, Johnson warned them
- 16:51Speaker 1: that the Chair was prepared to direct the Sergeant of
- 16:53Speaker 1: Arms to restore order to the Joint Session. Members are
- 16:57Speaker 1: engaging in willful quoting, continued breach of decorum, and the
- 17:01Speaker 1: Chair is prepared to direct the Sergeant Arms to restore
- 17:04Speaker 1: the order to the joint Session. Johnson told Green to
- 17:08Speaker 1: take a seat several times before directing the Sergeant Arms
- 17:11Speaker 1: to restore that order, and he was removed. Well, Democrats,
- 17:16Speaker 1: they apparently think this is some brave and big and
- 17:19Speaker 1: bold moment, because all of the Democrats voted to say no,
- 17:25Speaker 1: we're not going to actually enforce the rules of the House. Instead,
- 17:29Speaker 1: we're going to say no to censuring one of our own.
- 17:32Speaker 1: And in the aftermath of the incident, Representative Dan Newhouse,
- 17:36Speaker 1: a Republican from Washington State, introduced a resolution a censor
- 17:39Speaker 1: Green over his behavior. The resolution says, whereas the conduct
- 17:44Speaker 1: of represented from Texas disrupted the proceedings of the Joint
- 17:47Speaker 1: Address and was a breach of proper conduct. And whereas,
- 17:50Speaker 1: after numerous disruptions, the represented from Texas had to be
- 17:53Speaker 1: removed from the chamber by the Sergeant at arms. Now,
- 17:56Speaker 1: therefore be it resolved that Representative out Green be censured.
- 18:01Speaker 1: The Democrats were reported as having tried to table the
- 18:05Speaker 1: resolution known as House Resolution one eighty nine, but the
- 18:10Speaker 1: move to table ended up being rejected, and so that
- 18:14Speaker 1: is when the vote came in. So I go back
- 18:17Speaker 1: to what I said a moment ago. When you have
- 18:20Speaker 1: one hundred and nine Democrats that know that Algreen should
- 18:23Speaker 1: be censured for what he did, and they all stand
- 18:26Speaker 1: with them. Not only are they clearly out of touch
- 18:29Speaker 1: with reality, but they're incredibly out of touch with what
- 18:32Speaker 1: the American people want and what they care about.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I go back to the CBS poll.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Seventy six percent approved of what Donald Trump said. More
- 18:45Speaker 1: than ninety percent said the President talked about a major
- 18:48Speaker 1: issue that affected their life that was important to them.
- 18:53Speaker 1: The overwhelming majority said they trust the present when it
- 18:56Speaker 1: comes to cutting waste, fraud and abuse abuse would doeach,
- 19:00Speaker 1: and they also approve of the President's plan to cut
- 19:05Speaker 1: the on issues like inflation. You look at Democrats and
- 19:10Speaker 1: what are they focused on disrupting a present that the
- 19:13Speaker 1: American people are behind with a massive mandate, and what
- 19:18Speaker 1: are they also in favor of?
- 19:19Speaker 2: Well, if they don't get their way.
- 19:21Speaker 1: They want to put you in jail, they want to
- 19:24Speaker 1: lock you up, they want to silence you, and they
- 19:27Speaker 1: want you to kick them out of the House of
- 19:30Speaker 1: Representatives like there's some sort of heroes.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I don't think the American people, however, are going to
- 19:36Speaker 2: fall for this at all.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It's very important that you understand what's going on with
- 19:43Speaker 1: Donald Trump using tariffs to protect American lives. There's a
- 19:48Speaker 1: lot of misinformation out there about the President and the
- 19:52Speaker 1: tariffs that have just gone into effect, and I want
- 19:54Speaker 1: you to understand why. First off, the President is actually
- 19:57Speaker 1: doing this. You may not no, but President Joe Biden
- 20:02Speaker 1: did very little on fighting to protect Americans from FETNL.
- 20:07Speaker 1: FETNAL smugglers killed roughly three hundred thousand Americans during his
- 20:14Speaker 1: time in office. That is exactly why President Trump has
- 20:18Speaker 1: quickly imposed painful tariffs on countries that are helping those
- 20:23Speaker 1: smugglers that killed again three hundred thousand Americans during the
- 20:30Speaker 1: Biden administration.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Quote.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I determined that the failure of the Government of the
- 20:37Speaker 1: People's Republic of China to act to blunt the sustained
- 20:42Speaker 1: influx of synthetic opioids, including fetnel flowing from the Chinese
- 20:48Speaker 1: Republic to the United States constituted an unusual and extraordinary
- 20:53Speaker 1: threat to the national security, foreign policy, an economy of
- 20:58Speaker 1: the United States of America. That is what Donald Trump
- 21:01Speaker 1: declared in his March third Order. He also went on
- 21:04Speaker 1: to say this in recognition of the fact that China
- 21:08Speaker 1: has not taken adequate steps to alleviate the illicit drug crisis.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Section two A of Executive Order fourteen nineteen five is
- 21:18Speaker 1: hereby amended by striking the words ten percent and inserting
- 21:23Speaker 1: in lieu thereof the words twenty percent. The order is
- 21:27Speaker 1: titled Further Amendment to Duties Addressing the Synthetic Opioid Supply
- 21:33Speaker 1: Chain in the People's Republic of China. Now, this isn't
- 21:37Speaker 1: the only place we're having problems when it comes to
- 21:40Speaker 1: Americans dying because of the drugs that are pouring across
- 21:45Speaker 1: the open borders. Trump also posted trade penalties against Mexico
- 21:50Speaker 1: and Canada, where criminal gangs are producing more drugs for
- 21:55Speaker 1: export to the United States. Now, the vast death toll
- 22:00Speaker 1: from fetnol, much of which is manufactured in Mexico from
- 22:04Speaker 1: chemicals that were directly produced in China, is described in
- 22:09Speaker 1: multiple government reports. This is something that Biden administration knew,
- 22:13Speaker 1: and they didn't care that three hundred plus thousand Americans
- 22:18Speaker 1: were oding. Yet Biden's countermeasures were, by the way, all
- 22:22Speaker 1: tactical when he did act like he was acting, and
- 22:26Speaker 1: he put little or no pressure on Mexico and China
- 22:29Speaker 1: to stop the killing of Americans. In part, Biden's deputies,
- 22:34Speaker 1: including Border Chief my orchis they prioritize trade deals with
- 22:39Speaker 1: China and migration deals with Mexico over American lives. Let
- 22:46Speaker 1: me give you an example. In twenty twenty two, Biden's
- 22:50Speaker 1: deputies stayed mute when Texas Governor Greg Abbott uses power
- 22:56Speaker 1: over cross border inspections to force modest can sessions from
- 23:01Speaker 1: four Mexican regional governments. Unsurprisingly, Trump's efforts are being opposed
- 23:08Speaker 1: by pro illegal immigrant advocates who do not want to
- 23:12Speaker 1: recognize the huge death told to American citizens. For example,
- 23:18Speaker 1: Aaron boy at the Washington Post wrote this, President Donald
- 23:22Speaker 1: Trump's long promised tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico
- 23:25Speaker 1: are due to going to effect Tuesday. This despite fears
- 23:29Speaker 1: that the taxes on imports could cripple the economies of
- 23:32Speaker 1: our two neighboring allies and negatively impact the US economy
- 23:37Speaker 1: as well by exacerbating inflation. You notice they don't care
- 23:41Speaker 1: about American families being ripped apart by these synthetic drugs.
- 23:46Speaker 1: The New York Times wrote, for American families, the likely
- 23:50Speaker 1: result is higher prices nearly everywhere they turn, trying to
- 23:54Speaker 1: fear monger you that the grocery prices are more important
- 23:57Speaker 1: than your children's lives. They also want to talk about
- 24:00Speaker 1: car dealerships and electronics stores and iPhones and what you're
- 24:05Speaker 1: going to pay at the pump. The Wall Street Journal
- 24:08Speaker 1: even ignored the narcotics trade as it slammed Donald Trump's tariffs.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Good news is Donald Trump wasted no time responding to
- 24:16Speaker 1: the Wall Street Journal criticism, saying this quote the teriff lobby,
- 24:20Speaker 1: headed by the globalists and always wrong. Wall Street Journal
- 24:24Speaker 1: is working hard to justify countries like Canada, Mexico, China,
- 24:30Speaker 1: and too many others to name continue the decades long
- 24:34Speaker 1: ripoff of America, both with regard to trade, crime and
- 24:39Speaker 1: poisonous drugs that are allowed to so freely flow into America. China,
- 24:44Speaker 1: by the way, is also rejecting Trump's focus on fetnols, saying, Oh,
- 24:48Speaker 1: it's not a big deal, calm down. The President of
- 24:51Speaker 1: the United States of America, however, is saying, yes, this
- 24:55Speaker 1: is a battle worth fighting. Why because it's already cost
- 24:58Speaker 1: the lives of more than three one hundred thousand Americans.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Peter Navarro, by the way, went on Fox News Channel
- 25:05Speaker 1: with Brett Bair to talk exactly about this issue of fentanyl,
- 25:09Speaker 1: including Canada and what's happened on the northern border, also
- 25:14Speaker 1: the Mexican cartels. I want you to hear what he
- 25:16Speaker 1: had to say about the President not backing down.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Tariffs are April second. What's happening now was triggered by
- 25:22Speaker 4: border and fentanyl. I understand all of that. But what's
- 25:26Speaker 4: happening is is now Canada is obviously hitting back. They're
- 25:30Speaker 4: taking the liquor off the shelves, They're they're threatening electricity
- 25:36Speaker 4: price increases. So they're hitting back and that people are
- 25:39Speaker 4: going to feel that we are taking off carmakers for
- 25:44Speaker 4: a month. There's a report that agriculture products are going
- 25:48Speaker 4: to be exempted.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Do you have that.
- 25:50Speaker 5: I'm not tracking that now.
- 25:52Speaker 2: No.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Okay, so we're making exemptions, but right now we're in
- 25:55Speaker 4: a bat but I think, look.
- 25:58Speaker 5: We're going to be in a period of adjustment where
- 26:01Speaker 5: when we impose the reciprocal tariffs, or when we impose
- 26:06Speaker 5: tariffs that are designed to save American lives, there's going
- 26:09Speaker 5: to be segments like you just had with mister Forov,
- 26:13Speaker 5: and they're going to rattle their sabers, and but I
- 26:16Speaker 5: don't want to contribute to that. What I want to
- 26:18Speaker 5: say to every world leader who gets up in arms
- 26:22Speaker 5: when all we're asking for is fairness and to have
- 26:24Speaker 5: them stop killing our people, is please listen to us.
- 26:28Speaker 5: Canada could do a lot more. Canada has been taken
- 26:32Speaker 5: over Brett by Mexican cartels. They bring up, they bring
- 26:36Speaker 5: up these pill presses and printers and the medicines.
- 26:42Speaker 2: That they fake.
- 26:43Speaker 5: You can't tell the difference now many of our companies can.
- 26:46Speaker 5: You need a spectromer for it to do it. It's
- 26:49Speaker 5: crazy so and people are dying bread. It's been going
- 26:52Speaker 5: on for too long. And I'll give you another thing
- 26:54Speaker 5: just to make this point. It's like it all starts
- 26:57Speaker 5: in China, but then China brings these chemicals over in
- 27:01Speaker 5: fifty gallon drums, and you know what, when they get
- 27:03Speaker 5: to the ports, you know why that stuff isn't interdicted there.
- 27:08Speaker 5: It's because China owns the ports.
- 27:10Speaker 4: You have metrics that you're going to set that they
- 27:12Speaker 4: have to meet this and then the tariffs go away.
- 27:15Speaker 4: I mean, do we publicly know what that threshold is?
- 27:19Speaker 5: Well, there's seventy thousand Americas dying every year and that's
- 27:23Speaker 5: the low estimate because you don't pick up all the
- 27:26Speaker 5: deaths from the fake Xanta.
- 27:27Speaker 4: So you're putting them all in Canada's No, of course,
- 27:30Speaker 4: not of.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Course, not bread. But what we want to see is
- 27:33Speaker 5: Canada and Mexico crackdown on China. China for whatever reason,
- 27:39Speaker 5: and there's a lot of speculations whether they're meant mean
- 27:42Speaker 5: to do us harm with this.
- 27:45Speaker 2: They don't seem to care.
- 27:46Speaker 5: Okay, so it's up to Mexico and Canada to help
- 27:49Speaker 5: us do this. And look, here's the other thing. The
- 27:53Speaker 5: fenol crisis is so toxic to our economy bread because
- 27:57Speaker 5: most of the people are dying their prime age working.
- 28:00Speaker 4: I think I think everybody's on board on the FED
- 28:04Speaker 4: threat and that fetanyl deaths. I think there are questions
- 28:07Speaker 4: about tariff policy that we're going to dig into as
- 28:11Speaker 4: it keeps on going on.
- 28:12Speaker 5: That's why I'm here, Peter.
- 28:13Speaker 4: We appreciate your time.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Thank you, Brank you, I appreciate the time.
- 28:16Speaker 1: So you hear Peter Navarro there, and let's go back
- 28:19Speaker 1: to what he mentioned like three or four times, was China.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Here's what China put out on X Today from their
- 28:25Speaker 1: spokesperson quote, the fetanyl issue is a flimsy excuse to
- 28:30Speaker 1: raise you of taris on Chinese imports. Our countermeasures to
- 28:34Speaker 1: defend our rights and interests are fully legitimate necessary. The US,
- 28:39Speaker 1: not anyone else, is responsible for the fetnal crisis inside
- 28:42Speaker 1: the US. In the spirit of humanity and goodwill towards
- 28:45Speaker 1: the American people, we have taken robust steps, China says
- 28:49Speaker 1: to assist the US in dealing with this issue. Instead
- 28:52Speaker 1: of recognizing our efforts, the US has sought to smear
- 28:54Speaker 1: and shift blame to China and is seeking the pressure
- 28:58Speaker 1: in blackmail China with tariff high. They've been pushing all
- 29:02Speaker 1: caps on US for helping them. This is not going
- 29:06Speaker 1: to solve the US's problem and will undermine our counter
- 29:10Speaker 1: narcotics dialogue and cooperation. China then said intimidation does not
- 29:15Speaker 1: scare US, Bullying does not work on US. Pressuring, cohersion
- 29:19Speaker 1: or threats are not the right way of dealing with China.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Anyone using maximum pressure on China is picking the wrong
- 29:25Speaker 1: guy and miscalculating. If the US truly wants to solve
- 29:29Speaker 1: the fetnal issue, then the right thing to do is
- 29:31Speaker 1: to consult with China by treating each other as equals.
- 29:35Speaker 1: If war is what the US wants, be it a
- 29:39Speaker 1: tear for a trade war, any other type of war,
- 29:43Speaker 1: We're ready to fight till the end. Does that sound
- 29:47Speaker 1: like a country that is actually trying to stop the
- 29:50Speaker 1: flow of illegal drugs in the US now? Because they're
- 29:53Speaker 1: making billions and billions and billions of dollars in profits
- 29:58Speaker 1: making the chemicals for most these synthetic drugs and then
- 30:02Speaker 1: giving them to the cartels to make them in Mexico
- 30:05Speaker 1: and other parts of the world. There is no doubt
- 30:09Speaker 1: that China is the lead of the drug trade, especially
- 30:14Speaker 1: when it comes to these types of fake pills. They
- 30:18Speaker 1: know it, and that's exactly why Donald Trump is trying
- 30:22Speaker 1: to stop them and willing to add tariffs until they
- 30:26Speaker 1: finally stop killing Americans at a record rate. Make sure
