- 1:31Speaker 3: I got to turn the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 7: You probably got to turn the mouth, turn out the money. Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on you'll think, uh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 8: Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice. Come on,
- 2:06Speaker 8: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 8: radio show. Man, oh man, oh man, God being good
- 2:15Speaker 8: to me.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Man.
- 2:16Speaker 8: I can't explain it all really, Hey, you know, I
- 2:19Speaker 8: want to remind everybody of something that I need reminding
- 2:22Speaker 8: of myself all the time. And I'm dealing with a
- 2:28Speaker 8: couple of things now and I had to remind myself.
- 2:31Speaker 2: You know what I have to remember.
- 2:33Speaker 8: I have to constantly remind myself to stay in constant
- 2:37Speaker 8: communication with God. Constant communication with God. You know sometimes,
- 2:44Speaker 8: you know, I have a tendency and maybe we do
- 2:46Speaker 8: all this people I don't know, but I know for
- 2:48Speaker 8: me that when it's going okay, I slack up in
- 2:53Speaker 8: sometimes having conversations with Him because I'm not coming to
- 2:57Speaker 8: him on a daily with something that's pressing or something,
- 3:00Speaker 8: and I find myself slacking up in the communication. The
- 3:05Speaker 8: danger I have learned in that is this, I think,
- 3:10Speaker 8: you know. I mean we've all heard old people say,
- 3:12Speaker 8: you know, you got to stay prayed up, you know,
- 3:15Speaker 8: and you know prayed up means you know, you got
- 3:19Speaker 8: some stowed up. You just got an abundance of them
- 3:21Speaker 8: where you're putting it in. Because what happens is is
- 3:26Speaker 8: when you're not in constant communication with God, when you're
- 3:29Speaker 8: not constantly praying, doing those good times, that allows for
- 3:35Speaker 8: the enemy to slip in and do the little things
- 3:39Speaker 8: that can be upsetting. And then the next thing, you
- 3:41Speaker 8: know what, you get several little things in a row.
- 3:44Speaker 8: Now you got an issue you're dealing with. You know,
- 3:48Speaker 8: I have to remind myself when it's going like that, Man,
- 3:51Speaker 8: have I really been praying though? Have I really been
- 3:54Speaker 8: in constant communication with God? Because you know, that helps
- 3:58Speaker 8: God against that little bitty stuff coming in. Sometimes it's
- 4:03Speaker 8: big stuff, sometimes it's major stuff. But I've noticed, man,
- 4:06Speaker 8: that when I get on a more of a smooth
- 4:09Speaker 8: plane in life, I have a tendency to slack up
- 4:12Speaker 8: in that department. And that ain't the time to slack up.
- 4:17Speaker 8: I'm really learning that I have to stay in constant
- 4:20Speaker 8: communication with God because it enables me to ward off
- 4:25Speaker 8: those little things coming up that can get in the way.
- 4:29Speaker 8: And so I just wanted to make you weare of
- 4:32Speaker 8: that as I'm learning it myself, that staying prayed up
- 4:36Speaker 8: is important that you try to stop prayers, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 8: you try to you know, have some prayers in the bank,
- 4:42Speaker 8: so to speak, and just constant communication with Him because
- 4:46Speaker 8: it'll just safeguard you against a lot of stuff back
- 4:49Speaker 8: doing you. You know, I just wanted to make sure
- 4:51Speaker 8: you understood that because on your journey, it's gonna be
- 4:54Speaker 8: many obstacles. I've said this one hundred times on the show.
- 4:58Speaker 8: The road to success is always under construction. I say
- 5:02Speaker 8: that all the time, and it's to let you understand
- 5:05Speaker 8: that it's not going to be easy, but we can
- 5:09Speaker 8: make it more difficult than it has to be, you know,
- 5:14Speaker 8: when you go out strike out on the journey. You know,
- 5:18Speaker 8: let's say I got in my car. Let's say I'm
- 5:20Speaker 8: in New York and I get in my car and
- 5:23Speaker 8: I say I'm going to LA. I know, if I
- 5:27Speaker 8: drive west and continue to drive west, eventually I should
- 5:34Speaker 8: get to California, or I may wind up in Portland
- 5:38Speaker 8: or Seattle or something like that. But if I drive west,
- 5:42Speaker 8: I'm going to eventually get to the West coast.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Now wouldn't it be smarter though?
- 5:51Speaker 8: If I mapped out the route, which saved me a
- 5:57Speaker 8: bunch of driving, I don't need and figuring that I
- 6:00Speaker 8: don't have.
- 6:00Speaker 2: To calculate when you know the way to go.
- 6:05Speaker 8: You know, if you know you want to cut cross
- 6:09Speaker 8: on the twenty, or you want to cut cross on
- 6:13Speaker 8: the seventy, or you want to cut cross on the tin,
- 6:17Speaker 8: you know you got.
- 6:19Speaker 2: To devise a route.
- 6:20Speaker 8: Now, if I want to go visit some people I know,
- 6:22Speaker 8: then I know I got to I need to go down.
- 6:25Speaker 2: You know.
- 6:25Speaker 8: I might go through Ohio, come down on the eighty,
- 6:28Speaker 8: then get on seventy one and take that all the
- 6:30Speaker 8: way down to the ten and then ride across. Or
- 6:33Speaker 8: I might take it to the twenty, cut through Texas
- 6:36Speaker 8: and then and then let it link back up on
- 6:38Speaker 8: the ten. I know a lot of different ways, but
- 6:40Speaker 8: guess what the best way is to map it out.
- 6:45Speaker 8: You can go anywhere, but if you go with a map,
- 6:48Speaker 8: it's more precise. You save yourself a lot of time.
- 6:52Speaker 8: And that's what prayer has taught me that when I willdentify,
- 6:56Speaker 8: continuously pray that I stay in the in the in
- 7:00Speaker 8: the I stay in a prepared mode, I have more
- 7:03Speaker 8: idea of where I'm going. I'm more secure with my route.
- 7:07Speaker 8: If you just take off driving heading west, Yeah, you'll
- 7:11Speaker 8: eventually get to the west coast if you out east.
- 7:13Speaker 8: But guess what though, had you mapped it out, you
- 7:17Speaker 8: can see when you veering off, you may stop, come
- 7:20Speaker 8: out and not be paying attention. Next thing, you know,
- 7:23Speaker 8: you're on a route and you go on another way.
- 7:25Speaker 8: You're going north when you could easily still be going west.
- 7:28Speaker 8: You've got to constantly be aware of that. And I'm
- 7:29Speaker 8: just pointing that out to you because I know that
- 7:32Speaker 8: on your journey, a lot of times you get sidetracked.
- 7:36Speaker 2: And part of the ways we get sidetracked is we.
- 7:38Speaker 8: Lose out on that very the very beneficial resource of prayer.
- 7:44Speaker 2: We lose out. Our connection with God gets strained.
- 7:48Speaker 8: The thicker you can keep the cord connected to God.
- 7:53Speaker 8: If you thin out your communication with God, and instead
- 7:57Speaker 8: of having a big thick cable, now you're dealing with
- 7:59Speaker 8: a little red. You know, a cable is stronger than thread,
- 8:04Speaker 8: and so it just decreases your opportunity. And so you know,
- 8:09Speaker 8: I wanted to just make you aware of that, and
- 8:12Speaker 8: you know, to ever be encouraged and to say to
- 8:14Speaker 8: everybody out there and just keep your head up. It
- 8:17Speaker 8: is going to be dark days for you. There are
- 8:20Speaker 8: going to be situations where it's going to be daunting
- 8:23Speaker 8: and hard to face. But man o, man, oh man,
- 8:27Speaker 8: everybody has to face these challenges.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Everybody get dark sometimes.
- 8:31Speaker 8: You know, look, if you didn't lose, if you didn't lose,
- 8:37Speaker 8: you wouldn't even appreciate winning because if it all went
- 8:40Speaker 8: your weight all the time.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Do you know how complacent and content and.
- 8:47Speaker 8: How easy life would be if it just went your
- 8:50Speaker 8: way all the time. So when it kept going your way,
- 8:53Speaker 8: you wouldn't even appreciate it because guess what, it's been
- 8:56Speaker 8: going this way the whole time.
- 8:58Speaker 2: So what life does is it has checks and balances.
- 9:02Speaker 8: These hard times are coming, and you need the hard
- 9:05Speaker 8: times to appreciate the good times. You need the clouds
- 9:09Speaker 8: and you need the rain to appreciate the sun and
- 9:13Speaker 8: the flowers. It's just when it comes to prayer, though,
- 9:18Speaker 8: just stay prayed up, stay constant with it, because the
- 9:22Speaker 8: challenges of life are coming, whether you pray it up
- 9:25Speaker 8: or not, they're coming. Understand that you could pray every
- 9:29Speaker 8: day all day. When you get through praying every day
- 9:32Speaker 8: all day, something gonna happen to you. That's gonna be challenging.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Now.
- 9:37Speaker 8: I would rather have been in communication with God on
- 9:40Speaker 8: a regular than wait till every time something pop off
- 9:43Speaker 8: to have to go to and reintroduce myself. Okay, it
- 9:47Speaker 8: was over a little around the board with it today,
- 9:51Speaker 8: but that's how it came to me, So that is
- 9:53Speaker 8: I ain't mad at it.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Y'all have a great day. We're gonna have a good

- 15:19Speaker 12: From what we are going from the Book of One
- 15:23Speaker 12: Die this morning, Pastor. The Book of One Die is
- 15:27Speaker 12: where we will start and dirive Pastor. We are in
- 15:32Speaker 12: chapter seven, chapter seven, verse one. It's or the Book
- 15:39Speaker 12: of one read very superstitious writing on the wall.
- 15:46Speaker 8: Right there, very every nine there is something will pop off.
- 15:54Speaker 8: You're not show about. But all you got to pay
- 15:57Speaker 8: attention is the writing on the what read a.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Very superstitious A lot us about to fall.
- 16:06Speaker 8: Stop right there. That's a superstition. A letter is about
- 16:11Speaker 8: to fall. You know they say you're not supposed to
- 16:13Speaker 8: go under a letter, but dinner right here about.
- 16:16Speaker 12: Read thirteen month old baby broke the looking glass?
- 16:22Speaker 8: A stop right there, these is superstitious. A thirteen month
- 16:29Speaker 8: old baby one three thirteen.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Have you noticed in a hotel you've never seen the
- 16:39Speaker 2: thirteenth flow? That's right, that's right because it's considered bad look.
- 16:46Speaker 2: That's breaking a mirror is considered bad look. Thirteen month
- 16:51Speaker 2: old baby broke.
- 16:52Speaker 1: A looking glass.
- 16:53Speaker 2: That's an ugly baby.
- 16:55Speaker 12: Read our pastor seven years of bad luck the good
- 17:06Speaker 12: things in your past, stop right there.
- 17:10Speaker 8: Seven years of bad Lord Yeah, all the good things
- 17:16Speaker 8: is in your past. Lord, have mercy. This is superstition.
- 17:20Speaker 12: Read when you believe in things that you don't understand,
- 17:25Speaker 12: then you suffer superstition.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Ain't the way stop right there? Or what we wrote
- 17:33Speaker 2: in the Book of Wonder is that if you.
- 17:36Speaker 8: Believe in things that you don't understand and your suffer, Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 8: that's called superstition.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Ain't the way.
- 17:48Speaker 8: Superstition ain't in the Bible. The black cats, broken glass,
- 17:53Speaker 8: walking under letter, splitting poles. Ain't none of that in there.
- 17:57Speaker 8: Read all very super stitches. Wash your face and hands,
- 18:04Speaker 8: reading me of the problem.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Do all that you can start right there, stop right there,
- 18:12Speaker 2: very superstitious.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Yeah, wash your face and hand.
- 18:18Speaker 2: That's what the word is.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Why is we got to tell you to wash your face.
- 18:26Speaker 2: No matter minute. But that ain't superstitious. That's nash.
- 18:32Speaker 8: That ain't superstitions. That's unclean. The word said cleanliness. It
- 18:41Speaker 8: is next to godness.
- 18:44Speaker 2: You're preaking.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Wash your face and read it says, keep me in
- 18:49Speaker 1: a day dream, keep me going strong, Stop right, don't
- 18:54Speaker 1: want all right? No, hold on, start right there.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Ah once used to have that over them girls. Yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 2: well they always kept me in the day dream. Look
- 19:07Speaker 2: at your boy, Look at I had you wondered? Had
- 19:11Speaker 2: you looking for me in the daytime? With flesh like?
- 19:15Speaker 12: Whoa?
- 19:18Speaker 8: I ain't preaching right now, I'm memories. I'm going down
- 19:22Speaker 8: back down memory lane.
- 19:24Speaker 2: That's all that was read.
- 19:28Speaker 12: It says, I keep me in today, didn't keep me
- 19:30Speaker 12: going to You don't want to save me?
- 19:33Speaker 2: Sad is my song?
- 19:35Speaker 1: Stop right there? If you don't want to save me,
- 19:37Speaker 1: what did you singing the song for?
- 19:39Speaker 2: Read?
- 19:41Speaker 12: When you believe in things that you don't understand, then
- 19:45Speaker 12: you suffer superstition.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Ain't the way? Stop right there?
- 19:49Speaker 2: Lift rap this thing. Come on now.
- 19:53Speaker 8: When you believe in things and that you don't understand,
- 19:58Speaker 8: that's right. You going to suffer. If you're walking down
- 20:04Speaker 8: the street.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Trying not to step on the crack cracks is in
- 20:09Speaker 2: the side walk.
- 20:11Speaker 8: You're gonna have to be jumping and skipping and looking down,
- 20:13Speaker 8: and you ain't gonna be able to look up. You
- 20:15Speaker 8: can't be worried about splitting no pole with nobody talking
- 20:19Speaker 8: about you. Ain't suposed to split no poles. Some people
- 20:21Speaker 8: you don't need to be walking next to you anyway.
- 20:25Speaker 8: You wearried about a black cat, That black cat it's
- 20:28Speaker 8: the big cats.
- 20:29Speaker 3: That are kill you.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I ain't never seen the line of black line before
- 20:33Speaker 2: that black kitty cat.
- 20:34Speaker 8: It's the line you need to worry about. What the
- 20:37Speaker 8: well is you worrying about that for superstition? Ain't the way?
- 20:41Speaker 1: You can walk under letters all you want.
- 20:43Speaker 2: If you don't go to school and go to work,
- 20:45Speaker 2: you're gonna have.
- 20:46Speaker 8: Seven years of bad Look it takes seven years straighten
- 20:49Speaker 8: out your credit cause you didn't go to work one day.
- 20:52Speaker 8: That's what it's all about. Don't worry about that letter.
- 20:55Speaker 8: Get your credit right. You understand what I'm saying. The
- 21:02Speaker 8: flitting the pole, Now you're gonna split the pole. Now
- 21:05Speaker 8: you on one side and there on the other side.
- 21:08Speaker 8: Why didn't the pole get in the way in the
- 21:10Speaker 8: first place? Maybe that ain't where you're supposed to be
- 21:13Speaker 8: with that. Ain't a superstition.
- 21:15Speaker 2: That's a sign from God. Split the pole, Get on
- 21:18Speaker 2: going bout your bidding. Those are the churches open.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Won't you come.
- 21:24Speaker 3: All right?
- 21:25Speaker 2: All?
- 21:26Speaker 12: Right? Time?

- 22:50Speaker 1: Or was he wrong? Fela? I think he was stupid

- 23:10Speaker 1: See, young brother, if you were unsure.
- 23:13Speaker 2: About her, you should go to her.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:18Speaker 8: Now, obviously she's done something that you don't like and
- 23:21Speaker 8: you're trying to find out. Is it a trending pattern,
- 23:25Speaker 8: a reoccurring pattern, that's what you're trying to do. But
- 23:29Speaker 8: to go to her ex husband for that, that don't
- 23:32Speaker 8: make no sense at all. Man's that's a real.

- 23:49Speaker 11: Moving on to Monte in Chicago. Monte writes, I told
- 23:54Speaker 11: my wife I was going to a day party with
- 23:56Speaker 11: my brother. She hates when I hang with him because
- 23:59Speaker 11: he cheated on his wife. She's afraid of him being
- 24:03Speaker 11: a bad influence on me. I am tired of her
- 24:06Speaker 11: judging my brother. How do I stop her from doing that?
- 24:10Speaker 8: She ain't judge your brother. She found out what your
- 24:14Speaker 8: brother did. She did your brother, your brother's wife may
- 24:19Speaker 8: have said something to her. She don't want your brother
- 24:23Speaker 8: to influence you. She ain't judge your brother cheated on
- 24:29Speaker 8: his wife. How your wife find out about it?
- 24:34Speaker 2: M m m hm, So Broughton, all women are gonna
- 24:38Speaker 2: do that because they go because they're.
- 24:42Speaker 8: Gonna sympathize with her. Yeah, the wife, So, bro, how
- 24:46Speaker 8: do you get her to stop hating on your brother?
- 24:48Speaker 2: Judge and your brother?
- 24:49Speaker 13: So?
- 24:50Speaker 14: What?
- 24:51Speaker 1: Mm?
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think that's the issue. Man, You're tripping
- 24:57Speaker 2: for no reason. She gonna feel what she want to feel.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Yeah, he's not going to be able to stop her.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Oh no, I'm promised you that. Yeah, all right.
- 25:06Speaker 11: Moving on thelo to Arisha and Philly, Arisha writes, my
- 25:10Speaker 11: friend introduced me to a man that she she had
- 25:13Speaker 11: sex with three years.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Ago on our first day.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Say that again.
- 25:18Speaker 11: My friend introduced me to a man that she had
- 25:22Speaker 11: sex with three years ago.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Okay, on our first date.
- 25:26Speaker 11: He said, he's relieved that I didn't care about him
- 25:29Speaker 11: hooking up with my friend in the past. I was
- 25:33Speaker 11: so outdone that I ended the friendship with her. Did
- 25:36Speaker 11: I overreact? Why did you end her friendship with her
- 25:41Speaker 11: because she had sex with the guy she introduced her
- 25:44Speaker 11: to and three years ago? And I guess she didn't
- 25:47Speaker 11: tell her at the time, oh sex, But as she
- 25:51Speaker 11: found out through the guy, he told her and he said,
- 25:54Speaker 11: I'm glad you're not tripping about it.
- 25:57Speaker 8: Well, that means that the x her friend must have
- 26:02Speaker 8: told him that I told her about us.
- 26:08Speaker 1: See.
- 26:10Speaker 8: Well, for the guy to say I'm glad you're not
- 26:12Speaker 8: tripping about it means that the girlfriend must have told
- 26:17Speaker 8: He must be under the impression that the girlfriend who's saying, Hey,
- 26:20Speaker 8: I'm introducing you to this guy, but I want you
- 26:22Speaker 8: to know I slept with him three years ago.
- 26:23Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm assuming he figured she told him and that's
- 26:27Speaker 11: why she introduced him. She's and the girl went out
- 26:30Speaker 11: with him thinking it was okay that they had sex
- 26:33Speaker 11: three years ago.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but obviously the girl didn't tell.
- 26:40Speaker 2: The girl that. No, she did.
- 26:42Speaker 15: The girl didn't tell her that, right, she found out.
- 26:46Speaker 1: From the from the guy. Exactly she found out from
- 26:50Speaker 1: the guy and.
- 26:51Speaker 8: She I don't think that's the reason to break up
- 26:53Speaker 8: the friendship. I think you should have just said, girl,
- 26:56Speaker 8: I think you should have.
- 26:57Speaker 2: You didn't think you.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Should have told me this? Why would you stop being
- 27:00Speaker 1: friends with her? Yeah?
- 27:02Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, And maybe the reason she didn't tell
- 27:06Speaker 8: you that was because she wanted you to give the
- 27:09Speaker 8: guy a fair chance.
- 27:12Speaker 1: But that ain't gonna fly with women, so that I
- 27:16Speaker 1: can't move on. Yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 11: So to the question, she says, did she overreact? And
- 27:23Speaker 11: the answer is yes, you did react? Yeah, react all right?
- 27:28Speaker 11: Last one, Steve, This is from Khalid and Baltimore. Khalid says, Uh,
- 27:34Speaker 11: my child's mom wants to have another child by me.
- 27:38Speaker 11: I have a great relationship with her, but I don't
- 27:40Speaker 11: want to pay for another child that doesn't live with
- 27:43Speaker 11: me full time. I want to start a family with
- 27:46Speaker 11: someone I love, not her. How do I explain it
- 27:50Speaker 11: to her?
- 27:51Speaker 8: Wow, I'm not I don't want to have a baby
- 27:53Speaker 8: with you. I don't want to have a baby with you.
- 28:02Speaker 8: I ain't even in love with you like that. Yeah yeah, no, really,
- 28:07Speaker 8: I want to have a family with somebody I love.
- 28:10Speaker 8: I'm gonna spend no more money on some kids just
- 28:13Speaker 8: over there. Just because you want a baby, go find
- 28:15Speaker 8: somebody and have a baby that want you and the baby. Yeah,
- 28:18Speaker 8: because I don't want you or the baby like that.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Man, that's an easy conversation, right.
- 28:24Speaker 11: Just because you have a great relationship with her doesn't
- 28:26Speaker 11: mean that he wants to father another child by you.
- 28:30Speaker 1: You have a great relations.
- 28:31Speaker 8: Y'all got a great relationship. Y'all ain in love, right,
- 28:35Speaker 8: and he wants to have a family.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's for the child. You're a great and
- 28:41Speaker 1: the lady.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I got news for you.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Wait, who said that?
- 28:44Speaker 2: The guy says they have a great relationship.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he says relationship with her.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Yeah, well it ain't that great.
- 28:54Speaker 1: It won't be after you don't want my fan mom
- 28:56Speaker 1: on her head. Oh you got a great relationship, but
- 28:59Speaker 1: I don't.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Want it though.
- 29:02Speaker 15: It ain't all that great.
- 29:04Speaker 2: No, yeah, I'll tell you that right now. We had
- 29:06Speaker 2: this baby.
- 29:06Speaker 11: But he said, yeah, he doesn't want to pay for
- 29:10Speaker 11: another child that doesn't live with him full time, like
- 29:13Speaker 11: you say. He wants a family. Yeah, with someone he's
- 29:17Speaker 11: in love with and it's not her.
- 29:19Speaker 15: Well, Steve, just broad conversation.
- 29:23Speaker 1: It's one more time, Steve. So if we could be clear,
- 29:25Speaker 1: I don't want to have no baby, especially with you.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:35Speaker 1: The great relationship they have is not a love relationship.
- 29:40Speaker 1: It is not that Yeah, all right, all right, that
- 29:44Speaker 1: was the last one.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Why you keep talking to me? I don't want listen, listen, listen.
- 29:50Speaker 2: It's bad enough never got just one baby over here,
- 29:54Speaker 2: and I'm paying this money for I don't even live
- 29:56Speaker 2: with full time. Next baby i'll pay for. I will
- 29:59Speaker 2: see him every day.
- 30:00Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's gonna live with me. Yeah, or she's
- 30:03Speaker 1: gonna live with me.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:05Speaker 2: I don't like you like that, thank you.
- 30:09Speaker 1: That's the other thing.
- 30:11Speaker 2: I don't like you. I ain't feeling you like that.

- 33:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:31Speaker 1: All right, thank you guys. Moving on, here's another Uh,

- 34:05Speaker 11: will produce the new show. When asked about the new show,
- 34:08Speaker 11: former President Obama said, quote, I've sat across the table
- 34:11Speaker 11: from some of the world's most difficult leaders and wrestled
- 34:15Speaker 11: with some of the most intractable problems. Nothing has prepared
- 34:19Speaker 11: me for working with Larry David. I have no experience,
- 34:25Speaker 11: so he's difficult to work exactly exactly. So are you
- 34:31Speaker 11: guys excited to see the show come about Larry David's
- 34:35Speaker 11: return to TV and all of that. Yeah, because Seinfeld

- 35:40Speaker 1: Produce later data, later dat.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Yeah. I think that's what it is. I don't think
- 35:43Speaker 2: Obama's gonna put him He might make a cameo or
- 35:47Speaker 2: something like that, but he's not gonna put himself out
- 35:49Speaker 2: like that. He's just series.
- 35:51Speaker 1: No, he's too regal. He's too regal.

- 55:46Speaker 11: Shirley Strawberry. You know, mornings just aren't complete without a
- 55:50Speaker 11: McDonald's breakfast. Have you heard about the new spicy sausage
- 55:54Speaker 11: McMuffin with egg. It's got a creamy red pepper heat.
- 55:58Speaker 11: I've got to try that. I'm thinking it would hit
- 56:01Speaker 11: just right with my morning coffee. And there's nothing like
- 56:04Speaker 11: that rush of making it to McDonald's in time for breakfast.
- 56:07Speaker 11: Swing by and make your morning at McDonald's Morning Bada

- 56:40Speaker 11: and you never know it could be yours.
- 56:42Speaker 1: You never know.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 56:44Speaker 1: We got it. Pull you here.
- 56:45Speaker 2: It is strawberry letter.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Thank you nephew.
- 56:48Speaker 11: Subject hip hop and jazzy. I'll say it again, hip
- 56:53Speaker 11: hop and jazzy. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a fifty two
- 56:57Speaker 11: year old divorced woman dating a man and that it's
- 57:00Speaker 11: fifty seven years old. We've been together almost a year,
- 57:04Speaker 11: but we have fundamental differences that might break us up.
- 57:08Speaker 11: We met at my cousin's fortieth birthday party. He was
- 57:11Speaker 11: a DJ, so I asked him to play some classic
- 57:14Speaker 11: R and B hits because all he was playing was
- 57:16Speaker 11: hip hop and we had a lot of older people
- 57:18Speaker 11: at the party that weren't into the rap and hip
- 57:21Speaker 11: hop music. We got into a shouting match because he
- 57:24Speaker 11: said he didn't take requests. I ended up leaving a
- 57:27Speaker 11: few minutes later because the music was too loud and
- 57:30Speaker 11: giving me a headache. He got my number and called
- 57:34Speaker 11: to personally apologized and asked me to meet him for
- 57:36Speaker 11: a drink. We went to a nice jazz club and
- 57:39Speaker 11: that's the music I love. He says he loves it.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Too.
- 57:43Speaker 11: We went on a few more dates and I started
- 57:45Speaker 11: falling for him. He's an insurance agent and he DJs
- 57:49Speaker 11: on the weekend. Because of that, I'm finding out he
- 57:53Speaker 11: has two different personalities, and it seems like he's stuck
- 57:56Speaker 11: in his thirties. When he was djaying for a big
- 57:59Speaker 11: rap at first, he dressed like a fifty seven year
- 58:02Speaker 11: old man. Now he wears jerseys and Jordan's when we
- 58:06Speaker 11: go out, and I'm always dressed like a grown woman.
- 58:09Speaker 11: He invites me to go to his DJ gigs with him,
- 58:12Speaker 11: but I honestly can't deal with all that bass and
- 58:15Speaker 11: ignorant lyrics in his type of music. At his house,
- 58:19Speaker 11: he plays all rap when I'm there. He says, it's
- 58:22Speaker 11: okay to be different and opposite. It's a tract, he said.
- 58:26Speaker 11: He really likes me, but I am focused on the
- 58:28Speaker 11: wrong things. I want to date a grown man that
- 58:32Speaker 11: enjoys grown man things. I don't enjoy shopping for hip
- 58:35Speaker 11: hop clothes with him or sitting home alone while he's
- 58:39Speaker 11: out at the club. Is his immaturity a deal breaker
- 58:42Speaker 11: or should I get on his level? Well, my fifty
- 58:45Speaker 11: seven year old man ever grow up?
- 58:48Speaker 1: That is the question. Well, I just have to say,
- 58:52Speaker 1: you know, here we go again. Listen to you, listen
- 58:55Speaker 1: to you. Just trying to change them. That's what we do.
- 58:58Speaker 11: I guess it's the nurturers in us that we always
- 59:01Speaker 11: try to rebuild a man. I mean, we tell ladies
- 59:04Speaker 11: on this show all the time, you cannot change a man,
- 59:07Speaker 11: you know, we.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Can only change ourselves.
- 59:09Speaker 11: Remember that first night you met him, you guys got
- 59:13Speaker 11: into a shouting match at his job as a hip
- 59:16Speaker 11: hop DJ.
- 59:17Speaker 1: That's what he was when you met him. Now you
- 59:20Speaker 1: want him to be someone else.
- 59:22Speaker 11: The truth is, I think he's comfortable being who he
- 59:25Speaker 11: is and he doesn't see the point in changing for
- 59:27Speaker 11: you right now or maybe never. But I don't want
- 59:31Speaker 11: you to change either. I don't want you to change.
- 59:33Speaker 11: I can't even believe that you're considering changing. You asked
- 59:37Speaker 11: us if you should get on his level. I say no,
- 59:40Speaker 11: you know, just be who you are too.
- 59:43Speaker 1: This man is just not for you. He's not the one.
- 59:46Speaker 11: And although you may be right in everything you're saying
- 59:49Speaker 11: about him growing up and being immature and all of that,
- 59:52Speaker 11: it doesn't matter because he's not going to do it.
- 59:54Speaker 11: I mean, his look, his act, go with his weekend job,
- 59:58Speaker 11: and that's how he makes it money. Yes, he is
- 1:00:01Speaker 11: fifty seven and plays and likes rap and wears hip
- 1:00:04Speaker 11: hop gear.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: That's it.
- 1:00:06Speaker 11: I mean, it could be a lot worse, I say,
- 1:00:08Speaker 11: but you know, we like who we like, we want
- 1:00:10Speaker 11: who we want. We just you know, can't want to
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: change them.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: So I say, step aside.
- 1:00:16Speaker 11: Let him have all that, Let him have the club,
- 1:00:18Speaker 11: let him have the clothes, let him have the hip hop,
- 1:00:20Speaker 11: all of that. That's what he likes, while you wait
- 1:00:23Speaker 11: for your grown man who likes jazz like you like.
- 1:00:26Speaker 11: Because the DJ is apparently a deal breaker for you,
- 1:00:29Speaker 11: and that's okay, That is okay. You just may not
- 1:00:32Speaker 11: be you know, you guys just may not want to
- 1:00:35Speaker 11: be together or have to be together or can be
- 1:00:37Speaker 11: together because of it.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Steve, I agree with you in this response to this
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: letter the ladies off. You know, Shirley said this on
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: this show. How many times do we tell y'all oven
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: oven over, stop trying to fixties men, stop collecting red flags,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: leave them in the ground. Some of y'all riding around
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: with a truck full of red flags, lead them flags
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: stuck in the ground.
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: You got enough problems. You're too old for this what
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: you need this in your life? Fouk it started wrong.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: It had a moment in that way, and when old
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Kay did it flipped right on back to Rome. You
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: fifty two, he fifty seven. We've been together almost a
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: year now. That means they're sleeping together. But we have
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: fundamental differences. Fundamental difference.
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: Fundamentals build up from what people are with fundamentally this way,
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: for the fundamentals of a person are the foundation of
- 1:01:57Speaker 8: who they are. The fundamentals your relationship will be what
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: your foundation in the relationship is built on. That's my
- 1:02:06Speaker 8: interpretation of fundamental differences.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I was at my cousin's funny birthday party. He was
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: a DJ.
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: I asked him place from Classic n B because he
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: was just playing hip hop. A lot of older people
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: at the party went into the rapping and hip hop music.
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: We got into a shouting match because he said he
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: don't take request Well, why is you at an old
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: people party? How are you to DJ and don't take requests?
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: And you at old people party?
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Do you know that's how we party? On request? You
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: know how many times I went up to the DJ
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: booth and say, hey, man, you can't you gotta slow down?
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Some of these records. Man, we need some slow jams
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: in here. What you think we're in here for?
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: See back in the club, if you played five fast
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: records in the row, somebody came up to the DJ
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: booth and said, Hey, pimp, what you think we in
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: here for? We gotta talk to these girls. We gotta
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: get in they hear. Ain't nobody in venta sell phone yet. Hey, Gusty,
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: hitting aear right now.
- 1:03:04Speaker 11: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:03:07Speaker 11: twenty three minutes after the hour today. Strawberry letter title
- 1:03:10Speaker 11: is hip hop and jazzy. We'll get back into it
- 1:03:13Speaker 11: right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. Have
- 1:03:22Speaker 11: you thought about buying life insurance to protect yourself and
- 1:03:26Speaker 11: your family? Globe Life Insurance is easy to understand and
- 1:03:29Speaker 11: easy to buy, with coverage amounts up to one hundred
- 1:03:32Speaker 11: thousand dollars. The application process is quick. There is no
- 1:03:35Speaker 11: medical exam, just a simple application called Globe Life Today
- 1:03:39Speaker 11: at one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred,
- 1:03:42Speaker 11: or visit globelifradio dot com again. That's one eight hundred
- 1:03:45Speaker 11: two five one fifty four hundred or Globelife Radio dot
- 1:03:48Speaker 11: com All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:52Speaker 11: The subject hip hop and jazzy.
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: This couple is fundamentally different. She's divorced fifty two, he
- 1:03:59Speaker 8: fifty seven. The fundamental differences is all in this letter.
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: But it started he was dealing at DJ in the
- 1:04:05Speaker 8: party for her cousin. Now it's the old people at
- 1:04:07Speaker 8: the party.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: She go up there.
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: He paying all rap music. It ain't going good. She
- 1:04:12Speaker 8: go up there and asked him to change the music.
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: Can she plays something else? They get into a shouting
- 1:04:16Speaker 8: match because he said he don't take requests. He already
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: at the wrong party. That's how we survived back in
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: the day was slow jams. Slow jams was the only
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: way we could get up on this woman and talk
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: to her. And you couldn't play more than five fast
- 1:04:32Speaker 8: records in the row at the club back in the day,
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: because we had to slow jam, because we got to
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: get up on these women and talk to her because
- 1:04:38Speaker 8: unbeknownst to us, but no one had invented a cell
- 1:04:42Speaker 8: phone back then, so we got to get all that
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: conversation in. Now she said, I ended up leaving a
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: few minutes later because the music was too loud and
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: giving me a headache. He got my number and call
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: to personally apologize and asked me to meet him for
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: a drink. Y'all went to a jazz club and that
- 1:04:58Speaker 8: that's the music I love. He said, he loves it too.
- 1:05:01Speaker 8: We went on a few more dates and I started
- 1:05:03Speaker 8: falling for him.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: He's an insurance agent and DJ's on the weekend. That's
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: another fundamental difference. One of my best friends is an
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: all state agent. He don't DJ on the weekends because
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: he the all State agent.
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: Be out here talking about getting paying people death benefits
- 1:05:26Speaker 8: and rescue in they house, and you at the club talking.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: About ray Ar's and up ray you. That's a fundamental difference.
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: Now, she said, because of that, I'm finding out he
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: got two different personalities, and it seems like he's stuck
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: in the thirties when he is DJing for a big rapper.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: At first, he dressed like this fifty seven.
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: Year old man. Wait a minute, what you mean? It
- 1:05:49Speaker 8: seems like he stuck what you met him DJ in
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: hip hop music? What's the new discovery? Hell, ain't up
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: that DJ music.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: He don't like. He play what he likes.
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: Now you find out he got two different personality. It
- 1:06:07Speaker 8: seemed like he's stuck in his thirties when he's DJing
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: for a big rapper.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: He been showing you.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: This the whole time you met him, Miss Tartet at
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: the party. Now he wears.
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: At first he dressed like a fifty seven year old man.
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: Now he wear jerseys and Jordan's when we go out,
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: and I'm always dressed like.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: A grown woman.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: I've seen this out before.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: It's not a good look.
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: We've all seen this out where a woman have on
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: the nice dress heels and she's sitting over there this
- 1:06:36Speaker 8: man with this iron T shirt looking like a food.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Brus, I'm just gonna put it out there.
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: If you dating a grown adult woman, then you need
- 1:06:47Speaker 8: to dress like a grown adult man. Lead them tennis
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: shoes at home, put some slacks of dressed shirt and
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: get you a button down shirt and put you some
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: shoes on. Sitting up across from this woman and she
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: done put a dress on, and yolk got some jeans
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: and a big shirt on and a jersey. I don't
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: know nobody greater than me, so I'm not wearing your jersey.
- 1:07:13Speaker 8: I'm sitting up in a Lebron, James Jersey Lebron, ain't
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: me dog sitting up, putting up, promoting Steph carry little
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: light skinned. I'm single, grown, old, big little man. I
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: got the little light skinned ball on my chest. Man
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: grow yo suck wearing other me and his clothes and stuff.
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: I can't stay a dudes wed. I'm just gonna put
- 1:07:32Speaker 8: it out there now. And then he invites me to
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: go to the DJ gigs with him, but I honestly
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: can't deal with all that bas and.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Ignorant lygs in his type of music. At his house
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: he plays all rap when I'm there. He said it's
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: okay to be different, and opposite is a track, and
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: he said he really likes me. But I'm focused on
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: the wrong things. No you're not, No, you're not. You
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: better focus on these differences because that's what you're gonna
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: have to live with the differences. And if you can't
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: deal with the differences, then stop dealing with him, because
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: it's obvious he ain't fitty change. I want a date
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: a grown man that enjoyged grown man things. Well, it
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: ain't him. I don't enjoyed shopping for hip hop clothes
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: he do. I don't like shopping for hipcop clothes with him,
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: or sitting home.
- 1:08:22Speaker 8: Alone while he's out at the club. Why would you
- 1:08:25Speaker 8: sign up for this at fifty two? You got an
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: older man that's blissed sixty all his free time here
- 1:08:34Speaker 8: in the club, he wearing sneakers in jerseys. You sitting
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: over there with your dress on with your legs crossed.
- 1:08:41Speaker 8: It's his immaturity a deal breaking? Well it is for me,
- 1:08:46Speaker 8: and sure now if you won't date this little man
- 1:08:51Speaker 8: that's stuck in the past, that thinks he's somebody. He
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: ain't a rapper, obviously, he didn't make it.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: He don dj for the.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: Big time raphot because the big time rappers somewhere raising
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: the family right now, he don't have that because he's
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: got to go to the club and he insurance agents.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Is this immaturity deal breaker? Or should I get on
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: his level?
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: So what you're asking us is should I lower yourself down,
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: stop wanting what I want, and just give him everything
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: he wants? How do you expect to stay happy in that?
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Because you're not fit to start liking rep news. You're
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: just not And that's okay. Well, my fifty seven year
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: old man, ever grow up? You don't have a fifty
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: seven year old man.
- 1:09:44Speaker 11: All right, leave us your comments, Thank you, Leave us

- 1:10:50Speaker 1: It is time now for Junior and Sports Talk.
- 1:10:52Speaker 10: What you got Junior, Yeah, Shirley, We're gonna talk about
- 1:10:55Speaker 10: Endomicus Sue. He's retiring from the NFL five time Pro
- 1:10:59Speaker 10: Bowl in thirteen seasons, won the Super Bowl with the Buccaneers,
- 1:11:02Speaker 10: played with the Lions, played with the Rams, the Dolphins,
- 1:11:05Speaker 10: the Eagles. His dad passed away about a year ago,
- 1:11:09Speaker 10: and before his father passed, he asked in Dominquin to
- 1:11:12Speaker 10: go ahead and let football go. Well, one year to
- 1:11:15Speaker 10: this death, his father's death, he is retiring from the NFL.
- 1:11:19Speaker 10: Uh you know, then Domaquin felt this way his father,
- 1:11:22Speaker 10: he said, And Dompaquin said that he felt like his father.
- 1:11:25Speaker 9: Was on every snap with him. He was the fingerprint
- 1:11:28Speaker 9: for his entire career.
- 1:11:29Speaker 10: And he said that every snap he took he realized
- 1:11:32Speaker 10: he was representing his father, his name, and hisself.
- 1:11:36Speaker 9: And now he's close that chapter and move on to
- 1:11:39Speaker 9: something else.
- 1:11:39Speaker 10: And I think that's just a representation of how much
- 1:11:41Speaker 10: his father really meant to him, to even him to
- 1:11:44Speaker 10: honor that request to go ahead and let football go.
- 1:11:47Speaker 10: So I'm a big shout out to Endminkin Sue Man,
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: I think one of the most dominant.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: That so hardfelt Junior. Tell us what Dell but Lee
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: has meant.
- 1:11:56Speaker 8: To you and how.
- 1:11:58Speaker 10: What would you do the part for the first eighteen years,
- 1:12:01Speaker 10: Devi bel Leeve me in a lot of pain, a
- 1:12:03Speaker 10: lot of correction, a lot of and who is that?
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Who is my father?
- 1:12:07Speaker 14: Uh?
- 1:12:07Speaker 10: Yeah, my father said some really wonderful things got me. Uh,
- 1:12:11Speaker 10: I'm gonna kill you when I get home. Was very
- 1:12:14Speaker 10: motivating to me.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: Yes, very motive. What we need to talk about?
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Yeah, somebody who's father is still here?
- 1:12:20Speaker 13: You know?
- 1:12:22Speaker 8: Yeah, my father one time, see a Domakan's father had
- 1:12:27Speaker 8: a footprint on his career.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: Devil had a footprint on your neck.
- 1:12:31Speaker 10: See yeah, you know one time I called my father
- 1:12:35Speaker 10: Pattner one time, said look here, Potner And that was
- 1:12:38Speaker 10: probably where I messed up, because, uh, he got through
- 1:12:41Speaker 10: killing me. After that part. He got on the phone
- 1:12:44Speaker 10: and told his best friend. Yeah, he got the nerd
- 1:12:46Speaker 10: to call me Patna. Then I walked in front of him.
- 1:12:49Speaker 10: He said he was having Pottny hold on Johnny, Johnny.
- 1:12:51Speaker 10: My partner ain't.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: Talking to me.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: I don't know what's wrong with my partner today. Oh
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: I'm daddy today.
- 1:13:01Speaker 10: Yeah, that's the footprint that Devil left on us, and
- 1:13:04Speaker 10: that's that's my fault. But a man, great carean, donkey
- 1:13:07Speaker 10: Sue man, proud of you, brother man, great job did
- 1:13:10Speaker 10: that man.
- 1:13:11Speaker 9: Hall of famer for show. He got to go nice, yes,
- 1:13:15Speaker 9: lovely junior.
- 1:13:16Speaker 10: So yeah, So, like I said, Double, thank you Double
- 1:13:19Speaker 10: forgetting me to forty seven years old. Even with sickle cell.
- 1:13:22Speaker 10: That didn't matter. That didn't matter to Double at all.
- 1:13:25Speaker 10: That I was an ill child.
- 1:13:26Speaker 9: That didn't matter at all.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: But none of that what I got to do.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: With what I told you to do though.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Exactly that said. Cickle selle is not a brain disease.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: No, that's the truth.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Uh yeah, did it affect your hearing?
- 1:13:47Speaker 11: Wow, Steve, you are a father. Okay, yeah, yeah, all right,
- 1:13:53Speaker 11: thank you.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Jor.
- 1:13:54Speaker 11: Coming up at the top of the hour, woman's fiance
- 1:13:57Speaker 11: ghosted her while he was supposed to be visiting his mom.
- 1:14:00Speaker 11: She needs advice. We'll get into it right after this.
- 1:14:04Speaker 11: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: All right, Steve, this is.
- 1:14:11Speaker 11: From Cheyenne and Tulsa. Cheyenne says, my fiance went to
- 1:14:15Speaker 11: visit his mom in his hometown. I took off Friday
- 1:14:18Speaker 11: so I could go with him, but he said he
- 1:14:20Speaker 11: wanted one on one time with his mom. I respected that,
- 1:14:24Speaker 11: but my feelings were hurt. We talked most of the
- 1:14:26Speaker 11: time that he was on the highway when he got
- 1:14:29Speaker 11: to his mom's. I did not hear from him again
- 1:14:31Speaker 11: until Sunday when he was headed back home. Before he
- 1:14:34Speaker 11: came home, he had his car detailed and it was spotless.
- 1:14:38Speaker 11: I think he had to clean up whatever he was
- 1:14:40Speaker 11: doing in that car all weekend. If nothing was going on,
- 1:14:46Speaker 11: why did he ghost me?
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: He had to spend a lot of time with his mama.
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: M you know, you know when you go see your
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: mama like that, you got who.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Weekend?
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: Whoa what?
- 1:15:03Speaker 11: What?
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Well, let me just go and be honest with I
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: ain't never spend a whole weekend with my mama talking. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:15:10Speaker 8: We talk on the way I drive her to the
- 1:15:12Speaker 8: shopping mall and stuff on Saturday morning. My daddy didn't
- 1:15:15Speaker 8: want to go take your mama shopping.
- 1:15:17Speaker 12: I drive.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: I was excited to drive a car, you know, fifteen sixteen,
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: you know. So I'm driving out there, you know, and
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: we talk on the way out there, mostly instructions, slow down, you're.
- 1:15:27Speaker 8: Going too fast, get out this lane. And my mama
- 1:15:30Speaker 8: can't even drive. Never drove a car to life. We
- 1:15:33Speaker 8: knew everything about driving, and so that was it.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: And then, you know, how did Steve go in the
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: store and get this I left this brum in here
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: and get these bags, you know, stuff like that. And
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: she would say to me and that was it. You know,
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: ain't mama?
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: So what's been going on?
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: To tell me about?
- 1:15:48Speaker 8: Because she went to church all the time. I knew
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: what was going on, the bius praying, meeting, the usherboard me.
- 1:15:53Speaker 8: I didn't have to ask her what was going on
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: because I knew what it was.
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 1:16:00Speaker 8: I'm just saying, yeah, all weekend. Now you got to
- 1:16:05Speaker 8: clean the call because you like detailed calls.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: That's what you're doing on the road. You want to
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: get the boat bugs off and everything, the windshield.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: And all that. Yeah, get them off so you can
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: put some fresh ones on driving back home.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: I'm trying to see how you're formulating this lie you're telling.
- 1:16:30Speaker 8: I'm just trying to help the bruh out because why
- 1:16:33Speaker 8: don't you just ask him? Tell me why you didn't
- 1:16:38Speaker 8: call me all weekend? I told you I was spending
- 1:16:40Speaker 8: time with my mama. They go to bed at eight.
- 1:16:45Speaker 17: Uh huh.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: The people man, So.
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: Now all that evening, where was you at.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: And what was you doing?
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so all right, he wasn't talking to his mom?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Is your point, though, That is your point.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: Not at one o'clock in the morning.
- 1:17:06Speaker 8: I've only talked to my mama three times in my
- 1:17:10Speaker 8: life at one o'clock in the morning.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Oh three times? What was the occasion? I was in jail, jail.
- 1:17:21Speaker 8: I need to get out, Daddy, need to get out
- 1:17:23Speaker 8: here for two Yeah, okay, he don't get out here
- 1:17:27Speaker 8: by too, Mama.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: I'll be in here all weekend.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: That's all it was.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Well we're going to move on after that.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: This is from Eric and Saint Louis.
- 1:17:36Speaker 11: Eric says I had a girlfriend that had been with
- 1:17:39Speaker 11: more than a few guys in my circle, and I
- 1:17:41Speaker 11: didn't know it. My coworker pulled me to the side
- 1:17:44Speaker 11: and told me that she had a lot of bodies.
- 1:17:46Speaker 11: I cared deeply for this girl, but I let her
- 1:17:48Speaker 11: go because of rumors circulating around her. I feel bad
- 1:17:52Speaker 11: for not being man enough to date her despite her reputation.
- 1:17:55Speaker 11: People can change, and I believe she has. Should I
- 1:17:58Speaker 11: go get my girlfriend back?
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:18:00Speaker 8: Man, And you stupid for listening to people. People start
- 1:18:04Speaker 8: rumors all the time.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: Man, It's not true.
- 1:18:06Speaker 8: You don't know nothing about this girl's body count. She
- 1:18:09Speaker 8: got a high body count. Why why is he telling
- 1:18:11Speaker 8: you this?
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:18:14Speaker 8: Bro? You should talk with this woman. Stop letting other
- 1:18:18Speaker 8: people that man. Boy, should I go get my girl back? Yeah,
- 1:18:23Speaker 8: that's if she won't you.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, judgmental sense.
- 1:18:30Speaker 11: Yeah, but you said though, you said you shouldn't have
- 1:18:35Speaker 11: a high body count. It should only be like two
- 1:18:37Speaker 11: or three though, right.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: You should have wit to three.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Don't worry about that, okay, yeah, all you tell three? Okay,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: all right?
- 1:18:48Speaker 11: Coming up in twenty minutes after we'll have more of
- 1:18:50Speaker 11: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:00Speaker 11: Today is National Junk Food Day, and I gotta ask you,

- 1:19:31Speaker 8: like something for a child, you know, yeah, most color
- 1:19:35Speaker 8: and I don't need the whip cream. You can put
- 1:19:38Speaker 8: that little sugary sweet cherry on there if you want to.

- 1:25:49Speaker 2: Steve, Yeah, Hey, listen.
- 1:25:53Speaker 8: Uh, It's just something I think about from time to time,
- 1:25:56Speaker 8: you know, And I want you to be aware of
- 1:25:59Speaker 8: something that I've had to become a well because you know,
- 1:26:03Speaker 8: especially with social media out here and everything.
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: You know, I'm some you know, it's really best not
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: to read the comments. I think social media has proven
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: a point that television was trying to prove for a
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: long time, everybody don't deserve to be miked up, photographed
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: or filmed. It used to be you had to go
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: and you know, go through a casting call and you
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: had to audition, you had to compete to win the
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: honor to be miked up, photographed or filmed.
- 1:26:48Speaker 8: Well, because of social media, there are no more requirements,
- 1:26:52Speaker 8: there's no more auditioning. You don't need to check with nobody.
- 1:26:55Speaker 8: All you got to do is open yourself an account
- 1:26:58Speaker 8: or a page. All you gotta do is post it.
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: And now, all of a sudden, you are everything you
- 1:27:05Speaker 8: think you are. And that's the key part. You're everything
- 1:27:09Speaker 8: you think you are. It's people who post every day
- 1:27:14Speaker 8: that's got eight followers, got get get no likes, two likes,
- 1:27:19Speaker 8: and they own that every day and got so much
- 1:27:24Speaker 8: to say. And what I've discovered about social media is
- 1:27:28Speaker 8: they're starting to throw this word karma around all the time.
- 1:27:32Speaker 8: They look at your life and anything happens to you,
- 1:27:35Speaker 8: all of a sudden, it's karma. Karma comes from Eastern religion, Hinduism,
- 1:27:40Speaker 8: Hindu and Buddhism and all of that. That's where it
- 1:27:42Speaker 8: comes from. It's a principle. Now where y'all Christians and
- 1:27:49Speaker 8: Jewish people and and and and and and and and
- 1:27:53Speaker 8: whatever you are where you started coming from taking that?
- 1:27:57Speaker 8: I don't know, but it's not always. And you got
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: to be careful with that, man, because it just really
- 1:28:04Speaker 8: ticks me off. You know, a lady had a child
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: and they found out discovered on that the child had autism.
- 1:28:16Speaker 8: Do you know somebody said, well, that's karma? And I go,
- 1:28:20Speaker 8: wait a minute, man.
- 1:28:21Speaker 13: What.
- 1:28:23Speaker 8: And it's amazing how people use that word to become
- 1:28:27Speaker 8: so judgmental, like they're an authority on that. Stop giving
- 1:28:32Speaker 8: people authority over your life that you shouldn't be giving
- 1:28:35Speaker 8: it to listen to me.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: Do you know what I don't do.
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: I don't take criticism from people. I don't take advice
- 1:28:41Speaker 8: from Who are you to criticize me when you ain't
- 1:28:47Speaker 8: walked in my shoes? The people that's criticizing you don't
- 1:28:50Speaker 8: even walk in your shoes. You know why because they couldn't,
- 1:28:55Speaker 8: Most of them couldn't. They couldn't possibly have done what
- 1:28:58Speaker 8: you've done, accomplish what you've accomplished, been through what you've
- 1:29:02Speaker 8: been through, survived it, and that's what they mad about.
- 1:29:06Speaker 8: So now here they come waiting on something to happen
- 1:29:09Speaker 8: to you and then tell you that it's karma. No, man,
- 1:29:13Speaker 8: it's called life. When you lose a loved one, that
- 1:29:16Speaker 8: ain't calma. That's life. When something happens to your child,
- 1:29:22Speaker 8: your child is born a certain way. Are you something
- 1:29:25Speaker 8: happens to your child, that's not karma. That's not karma. Now,
- 1:29:30Speaker 8: if you out here committing wrongs, there are some things
- 1:29:34Speaker 8: that result. They're like some consequences are calmer, some are
- 1:29:40Speaker 8: If you commit a crime and you wind up in jail,
- 1:29:43Speaker 8: well that those two are directly related. But you can't
- 1:29:48Speaker 8: just draw two happenings in people's life and put it
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: together and you make that karma. No, when you commit
- 1:29:56Speaker 8: a crime and you go to jail, you can call
- 1:29:58Speaker 8: it karma if it's really justice. It's really it's really
- 1:30:02Speaker 8: what happens when you commit a crime. Now, when you
- 1:30:06Speaker 8: commit a crime and you get away with it, God
- 1:30:09Speaker 8: could be doing you some favor. Now, issue you a warning.
- 1:30:13Speaker 8: That's what happens to a lot of people. They ignore
- 1:30:15Speaker 8: the warning. God gives everybody a warning. He gives you
- 1:30:20Speaker 8: an opportunity to go sit down somewhere, to check yourself,
- 1:30:25Speaker 8: correct yourself. And go somewhere and sit down. You know
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: what I Meantimes people tell me, hey, hey man, you
- 1:30:32Speaker 8: need to check yourself. You know, growing up in the hood.
- 1:30:34Speaker 8: Ay man, check yourself like you be talking smack with
- 1:30:37Speaker 8: a dude. May hey, check yourself. He giving you a warning.
- 1:30:40Speaker 8: Now check yourself because if you keep down this path
- 1:30:44Speaker 8: that he'd have told you, there's gonna be some consequences.
- 1:30:48Speaker 8: Y'all be conscious of the word coming. Don't let people
- 1:30:51Speaker 8: twist your life up with that. What you're going through
- 1:30:53Speaker 8: is sometimes.
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: It's just life. It's just the test of life. Everybody
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: has them, ups and down, trials, tribulations, victories and woes.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: Everybody have them.
- 1:31:05Speaker 8: So when you win in is that calma to When
- 1:31:08Speaker 8: God shows you grace and favor, is that calma where
- 1:31:11Speaker 8: a comma at? Then when you're doing something to help
- 1:31:14Speaker 8: somebody else where a calma comments at?
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: Then?
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: Nah man, they wait on you to stumble and then
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: they attach calma to it. That's not what it is.
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: Every time you stumble is not a punishment for something
- 1:31:25Speaker 8: you did. Sometimes you just get tested. Sometimes life just
- 1:31:29Speaker 8: come your way and you ain't even looking for it.
- 1:31:31Speaker 8: And things happen in life It's just called life, y'all.
- 1:31:34Speaker 8: It's not always Calma. Just remember that. Don't let people
- 1:31:37Speaker 8: hold you to that. Hey, y'all, listen to me. Have
