Who is Viola Desmond?
This week, Viola Desmond was chosen to become the new face on the Canadian $10 bill. Viola Desmond is most well known for being somewhat of a "Canadian Rosa Parks" after she was arrested for sitting in the 'whites only' section of a Nova Scotia movie theatre back in 1946. Her new Canadian bill will be released in 2018. Guest: Dr. Annette Henry- UBC Professor Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
