- 2:38Speaker 1: one and only. It is Steve Harvey. Yeah, I got
- 2:43Speaker 1: a radio show. Okay, this is timely for everybody. I'm sure. Um.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I want to offer you all or some encouragement because
- 2:59Speaker 1: everybody needs eat it let me tell you something. Uh,
- 3:03Speaker 1: you strike out on your goals, You strike out on
- 3:06Speaker 1: your aspirations. You get headed out on the course to
- 3:11Speaker 1: fulfill your dreams. You strike out on a mission to
- 3:14Speaker 1: get it accomplished. You have resolutions, you decide that this
- 3:19Speaker 1: is what it's going to be, and so you strike out.
- 3:25Speaker 1: All in it all engines, blasting full force, straight ahead.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And then it happens, as it happens to all of us.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Here it comes a setback. Here, it comes something pop
- 3:45Speaker 1: up man. Here it comes the unexpected all out of
- 3:54Speaker 1: nowhere man or hater, just something that that really, man
- 4:02Speaker 1: is undescribable to you, because you're just going along, you're
- 4:05Speaker 1: what you thought was your merry way. And here it
- 4:09Speaker 1: comes life. Life just hits one of them bad notes,
- 4:16Speaker 1: as it always does, as it always does for all
- 4:20Speaker 1: of us, for everybody. Now, when those bad notes happen,
- 4:29Speaker 1: when the haters come out of nowhere, when the setback
- 4:31Speaker 1: comes up, when the when the out of nowhere appears,
- 4:36Speaker 1: when that I didn't see that coming comes, Here's here's
- 4:44Speaker 1: what you have to do. Here is the thing that
- 4:47Speaker 1: I have been teaching myself for years that I used
- 4:53Speaker 1: to not always understand. So I'm trying to give it
- 4:56Speaker 1: to you. You have to be encouraged anyway. Now that's difficult, Okay, Steve,
- 5:04Speaker 1: what you're talking about. You just told me all this
- 5:06Speaker 1: discouraging stuff that can happen, and you said you got
- 5:09Speaker 1: to be encouraged anyway. Yeah, man, you have to, because
- 5:17Speaker 1: what's happening to you right now, the thing that you're
- 5:20Speaker 1: going through right now, the thing that everybody's going through
- 5:24Speaker 1: right now. Ain't nobody on smooth sailing. Man. Everybody got
- 5:28Speaker 1: something and if they if they don't smooth sailing, just
- 5:31Speaker 1: notice is coming. There's nothing I'm wishing on anybody. It's
- 5:35Speaker 1: just that this is life. This is how it happens everybody,
- 5:39Speaker 1: So please stop stop getting on the old woe is
- 5:42Speaker 1: Me bandwagon? Old Lord? Why met old Lord? Something always
- 5:46Speaker 1: happened to me, Something always happens to everybody. But here's
- 5:53Speaker 1: what you got to do. When you get in moments
- 5:55Speaker 1: like this, you got to be encouraged. You got to
- 5:58Speaker 1: remember in those times, in those times when it's going wrong,
- 6:03Speaker 1: you got to remember all that you've been through. You
- 6:08Speaker 1: got to remember all that you've come through. You have
- 6:14Speaker 1: to remember those other times when you felt like this
- 6:18Speaker 1: and somehow, unexplainably, you don't even really stop to say
- 6:22Speaker 1: nothing about it. It just changed for you. And the
- 6:26Speaker 1: problem that was is no more. And the situation that
- 6:31Speaker 1: seems so insurmountable, you got over it, You got around it,
- 6:37Speaker 1: you got over it. Sometimes you just got to slide
- 6:41Speaker 1: right under it. Sometimes you got to plow through it.
- 6:48Speaker 1: But in those times when it's discouraging for you, when
- 6:52Speaker 1: you feel like giving up, those are the tests. Those
- 6:58Speaker 1: are the moments that will determine whether we make it
- 7:03Speaker 1: or not. I'll tell you one thing for sure. If
- 7:06Speaker 1: you give up in these moments, right here here is
- 7:09Speaker 1: a foreshore, you'll never make it. That that's that's that's
- 7:14Speaker 1: that's unquestionably the deal. If you give up in these
- 7:18Speaker 1: dark times, if you give up in these what you
- 7:22Speaker 1: think is insurmountable moments, if you turn back now here
- 7:28Speaker 1: is the one thousand percent for shure, you ain't gonna
- 7:31Speaker 1: make it. But there's a bright side to this situation.
- 7:37Speaker 1: If you keep your head down, if you keep forging,
- 7:42Speaker 1: if you keep pressing on. Sometimes if you just stand
- 7:45Speaker 1: there and sometimes get knocked to your knees, but if
- 7:49Speaker 1: you stay in that place, if you just stay there
- 7:52Speaker 1: and ride the storm out. My head is bloodied but unbowed.
- 7:58Speaker 1: If you can just stay there, if you consider in
- 8:04Speaker 1: that moment and ride it out, you will win. You
- 8:13Speaker 1: will win, you will pass the test, and you will
- 8:17Speaker 1: get to move on to the next level. But there
- 8:21Speaker 1: is no next level without a test. You can't get
- 8:25Speaker 1: to grade six without passing grade five. You can't be
- 8:29Speaker 1: a senior without first being a junior. You can't graduate
- 8:35Speaker 1: without fulfilling the hours and requirements. You see, I don't
- 8:40Speaker 1: care what you do in life. Look at it. It's
- 8:43Speaker 1: all set up on levels for You've got to accomplish
- 8:46Speaker 1: the thing before in order to get to the next level.
- 8:50Speaker 1: And when you've made those level accomplishments, you get to graduate.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Now you're going to get the masters and a pH d.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You can go on and become rich, you can go
- 8:59Speaker 1: become well healthy, or you can go or you can
- 9:02Speaker 1: go somewhere and think yourself in another set of circumstances.
- 9:05Speaker 1: But you got to go through something to get to something.
- 9:08Speaker 1: There ain't nothing free. So you can stop that notion
- 9:11Speaker 1: about being successful that is easy. Come on, man, if
- 9:15Speaker 1: it was easy, what what what we are? What we're
- 9:18Speaker 1: talking about? It is not easy. Stop thinking it is.
- 9:23Speaker 1: It is difficult. But I'll tell you what's even more
- 9:26Speaker 1: difficult than becoming successful. You want to know what that is,
- 9:31Speaker 1: Try not being successful your whole life. That's hard. You
- 9:36Speaker 1: are listening to a person who has done them both
- 9:41Speaker 1: been successful and really really been not successful. And I
- 9:47Speaker 1: got news for you. Both of them hard. But I
- 9:50Speaker 1: would rather deal with what it is to be something,
- 9:54Speaker 1: to make something out of myself, to force myself to
- 9:57Speaker 1: go to work when I don't feel like it. This
- 9:59Speaker 1: morning was a rough get up for me, but I
- 10:02Speaker 1: got up and I said thank you anyway. Never give up.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And I don't watch this dude too. He to mess
- 10:08Speaker 1: around and got close to me because he just never
- 10:10Speaker 1: gave up. You can, You can never ever give up. Never.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It's not an option. Giving up cannot be an option
- 10:19Speaker 1: for you. You cannot do that. You it's it's out
- 10:23Speaker 1: of the question. It's ain't conceivable in your mind to quit,
- 10:27Speaker 1: because to quit is to what what you get when
- 10:31Speaker 1: you quit? Nothing? That is a reward for those who
- 10:36Speaker 1: hang in there, who never give up, who forged through,
- 10:39Speaker 1: who see it through, who get knocked down and get
- 10:42Speaker 1: back up, who gets trampled but somehow gathers themselves and
- 10:46Speaker 1: get back to your knees. But stay in that place, man,
- 10:50Speaker 1: don't ever give up. Don't let go be encouraged. Think
- 10:54Speaker 1: of all you've been through, Think of all you come through.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Think of all he's done for you. Think of all
- 10:58Speaker 1: the times you out you wasn't gonna make it, but somehow,
- 11:01Speaker 1: without you ever even saying thank you, he got through.
- 11:04Speaker 1: He got you through it. Anyway. That's that thing called grace.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Now we kind of need that in our life. All
- 11:11Speaker 1: all I need is a little more grace. You can't
- 11:15Speaker 1: give God no money for grace, man. Grace is absolutely free.
- 11:18Speaker 1: It's available to everybody, but you can't get none if
- 11:22Speaker 1: you quit. Don't give up. I'll just tell you that
- 11:24Speaker 1: flat out. Don't ever kill. You're listening to Steve Show,

- 20:38Speaker 1: Croatia and they won the World Cup. Yeah, it's like
- 20:41Speaker 1: the longest sporting event in history. Though the World Cup
- 20:46Speaker 1: is like a month long. Yeah, it's so much, it's
- 20:49Speaker 1: two months long's yeah. Yeah, it's a lot of people
- 20:55Speaker 1: who are really into it, like you're in a restaurant
- 20:56Speaker 1: or something like that, and from different countries who are
- 20:59Speaker 1: like really into the game. They're really really yeah, So
- 21:05Speaker 1: congratulations to France. Um. President Trump tweeted congratulations to France,
- 21:10Speaker 1: who played extraordinarily extraordinary soccer on winning the two thousand
- 21:15Speaker 1: eighteen World Cup. Additionally, congratulations. Listen to this, the President said,
- 21:19Speaker 1: congratulations to President Putin and Russia were putting on a
- 21:23Speaker 1: truly great World Cup tournament, one of the best ever.

- 21:39Speaker 1: be meeting, uh so, and the President said he will
- 21:41Speaker 1: be asking Putin about election. I loot it. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:52Speaker 1: this is craziness. Yeah, so we'll see, We'll see. And
- 22:00Speaker 1: Serena's husband, Alexis Ohannan, wrote her an emotional letter. Uh
- 22:05Speaker 1: you know, she didn't make it all the way to
- 22:07Speaker 1: Wimblton Championship. She didn't win that, but it's all good.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Coming up next Monday, it's dev Jam and Reverend Adnoid.
- 22:17Speaker 1: They're here with church complaints. Right after this, you're listening
- 22:21Speaker 1: to the Steve alright coming up at the top of

- 22:38Speaker 1: the fund continues, Yeah, the fund continues here as we'll
- 22:41Speaker 1: tell you how you could win a chance at Steve's
- 22:44Speaker 1: grand prize of one million dollars if if you're smarter
- 22:50Speaker 1: than nephew Tommy. All right, you don't. Oh, it's gonna
- 22:58Speaker 1: happen right now. It is time for church complaints with
- 23:02Speaker 1: Deacon deaf Jam and rebend ad Noid, and for Rebendo
- 23:05Speaker 1: Town of course, who's on vacation. Well here we are
- 23:13Speaker 1: for church complaints as well as church announced me. I
- 23:18Speaker 1: am Deacon death Jam. I'm a little under the webber. Yes, yeah,
- 23:24Speaker 1: but I don't sign as bad as ad Noid. You
- 23:27Speaker 1: know what does? Know what does? And no one should?
- 23:32Speaker 1: Are you breathing through your nose? Are your eels? Which one?
- 23:40Speaker 1: Listen to it? Listen at it? This isn't clear day too.
- 23:47Speaker 1: This is the day when it's really clear. You feel
- 23:50Speaker 1: good at No God, I can really breathe today. Some
- 23:55Speaker 1: some days were worse than God. That's funny. Let me
- 24:02Speaker 1: start this thing out the the bulletproof choir robes I
- 24:08Speaker 1: finally end. Yes, all the members who refused to wear
- 24:12Speaker 1: them will be I required to sign a release uh
- 24:17Speaker 1: excusing the church from our responsibility. You may all know
- 24:20Speaker 1: what happened when brother I but Nord returned from the
- 24:23Speaker 1: military and Mr took he mistook the drums as gunshots.
- 24:28Speaker 1: He's gonna shake it, remember the remember, and he did
- 24:33Speaker 1: a lot of shooting up in there that day. So
- 24:34Speaker 1: I just want you out to know the bulletproof rose
- 24:37Speaker 1: on end when you heard the rim shot it. He
- 24:40Speaker 1: was just nervous. Just the church knows. But here we go.
- 24:49Speaker 1: The men who let the word sleeveless shirts but shouldn't
- 24:52Speaker 1: when we didn't meet the room shout. They don't have

- 31:41Speaker 1: million dollars. And remember, yeah that's a lot of money, right,
- 31:45Speaker 1: that's a lot of money. Yeah. You cannot play unless
- 31:49Speaker 1: you register at Steve Harvey FM dot com. Okay, so
- 31:53Speaker 1: make sure you do that to you can play are
- 31:55Speaker 1: you Smarter than Nephew Tommy? Now it's time to get serious,
- 31:59Speaker 1: guys here for a minute, gotta switch gears and talk
- 32:01Speaker 1: about this um All weekend. The city of Chicago has
- 32:06Speaker 1: been dealing with protests over a fatal shooting of a
- 32:10Speaker 1: black man in Chicago. Okay um. Chicago police have released
- 32:15Speaker 1: a body cam footage of an altercation with a man
- 32:18Speaker 1: they shot and killed on Saturday. The release of the
- 32:21Speaker 1: footage comes after heated protests over the weekend. The video,
- 32:25Speaker 1: made public yesterday, shows a brother, his name was Hareth Augustus,
- 32:29Speaker 1: appearing to reach for a gun in his waistband after
- 32:33Speaker 1: rolling over a police vehicle. Police initially approached Augustus because
- 32:38Speaker 1: they thought he might be armed. Chicago Police Sperintendent h
- 32:42Speaker 1: Eddie Johnson says the department is releasing the bodycam video
- 32:46Speaker 1: in the interest of transparency and to dispel inaccurate information
- 32:50Speaker 1: here it is. Take a listen. I made a decision
- 32:52Speaker 1: to release the body one camera footage in this case
- 32:55Speaker 1: because the community needs some answers and they need him now.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson also said that the man
- 33:04Speaker 1: who officers shot was in fact, uh he was armed
- 33:08Speaker 1: and Johnson went on to say, yeah, he did have
- 33:10Speaker 1: a gun. Yeah. And Johnson went on to say that
- 33:13Speaker 1: the community needs to put emotions aside and trust the facts.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Take a listen. We have to hold individuals accountable. We will,
- 33:20Speaker 1: but we have to do it um and respect the process.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Let the process play out and don't judge things on
- 33:28Speaker 1: your emotion. Let the facts guide your decision on on
- 33:31Speaker 1: what you think. M hm. Well, you know that's easier
- 33:36Speaker 1: said than done, because when you see stuff like that,
- 33:38Speaker 1: you do get emotional. You know, you are upset and angry,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and you know, here we go again and all of that.
- 33:46Speaker 1: You know, the facts and dealing with that kind of
- 33:48Speaker 1: stuff I don't think comes until later. But you are
- 33:51Speaker 1: very emotional. But I hear what he's saying. Put it
- 33:53Speaker 1: aside and deal with the facts, the fact that he
- 33:55Speaker 1: had a gun and all of that situation. It's out.
- 34:01Speaker 1: They released it. Yeah, they released the body cam already.
- 34:04Speaker 1: And also seems that once again we gotta wait on
- 34:07Speaker 1: the process. Is I always wait on the process. Weight
- 34:09Speaker 1: on the process. You know, don't judge, don't judge what
- 34:12Speaker 1: you see, but you know, and that makes you emotional.
- 34:15Speaker 1: To Jay, that makes you emotional because you have to
- 34:17Speaker 1: wait a long time. You have to wait when people
- 34:21Speaker 1: going on when you see, yeah, people see it over
- 34:24Speaker 1: and over count adds up to another dead black man.
- 34:28Speaker 1: That's yeah, what it is. That's the bottom line, and
- 34:31Speaker 1: that's how people feel. Ja. That's exactly exact feel the
- 34:35Speaker 1: same way, even though they they've seen a gun. Now, yeah,
- 34:38Speaker 1: well to the count I mean, you know, I mean,
- 34:42Speaker 1: sure you had a gun, but it's another dead black
- 34:44Speaker 1: because because people have, you know, they have rights to
- 34:47Speaker 1: carry guns in this country. I mean you can have,
- 34:49Speaker 1: you know, a gun permit and things like that. It
- 34:52Speaker 1: doesn't mean that just because you have a gun you
- 34:54Speaker 1: get shot. So you know, there's more more question definitely
- 34:58Speaker 1: more more questions. Yeah, and that's why people get upset.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I mean, we do get into our feelings and U
- 35:05Speaker 1: and I did hear something about the investigation. I think
- 35:08Speaker 1: they're saying they're trying to find out if he did
- 35:10Speaker 1: have a permit or did not. Some reports are saying
- 35:13Speaker 1: he did not have a permit to carry the weapon.
- 35:16Speaker 1: We don't know. Obviously, there's more investigation going on. But
- 35:18Speaker 1: did that mean he still had to write? Yeah? Yeah,
- 35:24Speaker 1: all right, Miss Anna's here. She'll have more on this
- 35:26Speaker 1: investigation in Chicago. Plus she'll tell us about President Trump
- 35:30Speaker 1: and Vladimir Putin. They're in Finland meeting for this big summit.
- 35:35Speaker 1: So j please introduce miss and with today's headlines, it's
- 35:38Speaker 1: the news everybody with miss and trip taken away thank you,
- 35:42Speaker 1: thank you very much as his and trip with the news. Yeah.
- 35:44Speaker 1: President Trump is in Helsinki this morning for his schedule
- 35:47Speaker 1: one on one meeting with Vladimir Putin. Putin is late. Um,
- 35:49Speaker 1: he just touched down. He arrived about an hour later
- 35:52Speaker 1: than he was supposed to because they were actually supposed
- 35:54Speaker 1: to be probably talking by now, but he hasked to
- 35:57Speaker 1: meet with the lead finished leaders first before he It's
- 36:00Speaker 1: to President Trump. Trump, by the way, is the fourth
- 36:02Speaker 1: president to sit down with the Russian leader. George W.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Bush did it, Bill Clinton did it, Barack Obama did
- 36:06Speaker 1: They all sat down with the Putin. But Trump's meeting
- 36:09Speaker 1: comes on the heels of the charges leveled Friday against
- 36:12Speaker 1: several Russians by Special Council Robert Mueller. Indictments announced by
- 36:16Speaker 1: Deputy U S Attorney Rob Rosenstein. Indict in charges twelve
- 36:20Speaker 1: Russian military officers by name for conspiring to interfere with
- 36:25Speaker 1: presidential election. Eleven other defendants are charged with conspiring to
- 36:30Speaker 1: hack in the computers, steal documents, and release those documents
- 36:34Speaker 1: with the intent to interfere in the election. One of
- 36:37Speaker 1: those defendants and a twelve Russian military officer are charged
- 36:41Speaker 1: with conspiring to infiltrate computers of organizations involved in administering elections.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Putin has categorically denied all of this. Rosenstein says the
- 36:49Speaker 1: group also planted hundreds of files containing malicious computer code,
- 36:53Speaker 1: stole emails and other documents. The Russians went online calling
- 36:56Speaker 1: one of their co wort operations, d C Leaks. Okay,
- 36:59Speaker 1: as you heard early say, Yeah, there has been another
- 37:01Speaker 1: police killing of a black man not wanted for a crime,
- 37:04Speaker 1: this time in Chicago. The man was a barber neighborhood
- 37:06Speaker 1: people say, well liked and well known and armed for
- 37:10Speaker 1: his own protection. Apparently, they say the victim did have
- 37:12Speaker 1: a licensed weapon, but he did not have a concealed
- 37:15Speaker 1: weapons licenses. You gotta get both, I guess. Also in Chicago,
- 37:19Speaker 1: the CVS drug store chain is apologizing for a white
- 37:22Speaker 1: manager at a CBS drug store seen on video wrongly
- 37:25Speaker 1: accusing a black woman of trying to use the phony
- 37:27Speaker 1: cupa and the guy called calls the cops. Three of
- 37:30Speaker 1: them show up and tell the woman to leave the store.
- 37:32Speaker 1: That white drug store managed his name Roy Madston. He's
- 37:35Speaker 1: running for city council and he was a state delegate
- 37:38Speaker 1: for Donald Trun's presidential campaign. Papa John's Pizza no longer
- 37:41Speaker 1: available at Yankee Stadium and other places. Decision coming after
- 37:44Speaker 1: the chain's founder, John Schnader, was forced to resign after
- 37:47Speaker 1: using the N word during a sensitivity training conference call
- 37:51Speaker 1: last month. During the call, Snadi even seemed to reminisce
- 37:54Speaker 1: about how, growing up in Indiana, white people would kill
- 37:56Speaker 1: black people by dragging them behind their trucks. He is out.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Another store has pulled Devana Trump's clothing line for a
- 38:03Speaker 1: store cut Canada's Hudson Bay at the box office this weekend.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Transylvania Hotel three. You're stressed out from working too hard.

- 49:05Speaker 1: we've been picking them up for a long time. But

- 58:43Speaker 1: first Lady's Special offering. Listen to this one, guys. Dear
- 58:46Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I am a happily married man and I
- 58:49Speaker 1: need your advice. Last summer, I leaned a female friend
- 58:53Speaker 1: three hundred and twenty dollars for an insurance class so
- 58:57Speaker 1: she could start her own business. She was engaged to
- 59:00Speaker 1: be married at the time to a preacher. After I
- 59:03Speaker 1: loaned her the money, we barely kept in touch. She
- 59:06Speaker 1: got married, and I was busy with my family and
- 59:09Speaker 1: traveling for work. Recently, I decided to check in on
- 59:14Speaker 1: my friend and see how she was doing in her
- 59:16Speaker 1: new career as an insurance agent. I also planned to
- 59:19Speaker 1: ask her to pay me back. When I called her,
- 59:23Speaker 1: she thanked me for the loan, but to my surprise,
- 59:26Speaker 1: she said she never took the insurance class. I was shocked,
- 59:30Speaker 1: and I politely asked her for my three d and
- 59:33Speaker 1: twenty dollars back. She told me that she didn't have
- 59:36Speaker 1: my money and she didn't know when she would be
- 59:38Speaker 1: able to pay me. She also said that she could
- 59:41Speaker 1: not ask her husband, the pastor, for the money, because
- 59:44Speaker 1: it would cause a big problem in her marriage. Stephen, Shirley,
- 59:48Speaker 1: you are not going to believe what happened. Next. Instead
- 59:52Speaker 1: of giving me my money, she offered me her quotation marks.
- 59:57Speaker 1: All of this is in uh personal serve. So she
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: offered me her personal services to pay off her debt.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: I was like, first, lady, please, she is a pastor's wife,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: and she offered to repay me in sex. I have
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: never wanted to be intimate with her, and I would
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: never cheat one my wife. I just want my money back.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Should I consider this a total loss? At this point
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: I thought about telling your husband, but I don't want
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: unnecessary drama. What should I do? Okay? The first thing
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: you should do. The first thing you should do is
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: stop loaning engaged female friends. Uh this amount of money? Okay,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: that that's a okay. If she's engaged. She ought to
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: be able to ask her fiance for that kind of money.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: And you're right that this was hard to believe. And yes,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: you can count this as a lost loss. You will
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: never see your money again. Uh, You'll never see that. Um.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: I'm glad though, you're a man of integrity, I really am,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: and you decided not to cheat on your wife and
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: sleep with the pastor's wife. I think this first lady
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: is really a piece of work here, I really do.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Offering her personal services to you for the repayment of
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: three dollars really a really first lady. Uh again, I
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: think you should take the l on this one. No,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: please don't tell her husband, the pastor. Hopefully he'll find
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: out about her ratchet tree uh soon enough, because I'm
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: sure this isn't the only thing she's doing. I think
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: a lot of stuff was left out of this letter.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I have to say that. Um. But yeah, to count
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: it as an l it is a loss for you
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: and you're never going to see your money again. And
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: don't tell him. Just take it as a loss and
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: and and learn the lesson from this. Don't lend people
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: money like that. Uh. Jay. What you need to do
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: is when you go to service next Sunday and the
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: pastor says, there anyone in here who would like to
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: stand up and testify, testify, come on here now, really
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: your finger up in the air, because you want to
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: have respect for the wood for the wood, the wood
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: for the wood and when you rise up, when you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: rise up by the pew, start the saying woods right here.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: I like to thank the congregation, the band should much
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: respect to the pastor giving the place, leading and all
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: the visiting members. But past to have something hitting on
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: my heart, on my heart right here, release it. Releasing it.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: You understand what I'm saying. Sometimes there are people that
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: you do things for. They don't how do I said,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: I wish I could give some help. They don't pay
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: you back for the things you do for them. They're
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: sitting in here right now, Pasta, and I don't want
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: a part of out because I'm a Christian man, but
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: they need to pay me my damn three hundred and
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: twenty dollars right now, right now, right now, That's all
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: I have because a bunch of confusion in that little
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: country church. Okay, all right, well listen, we're gonna have
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: part two of the Guy's responses to Today's Strawberry Letter
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: when we come back, subject to first Lady Special Offering.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: the show, all right. We're in the middle of the
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. Steve is on vacation, by the way, junior
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: is on vacation today. The subject of today's letter the
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: first Ladies special offering. A young man wrote this letter.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: He says he's happily married, but last summer he loaned
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: a female friend of his three hundred and twenty dollars
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: for an insurance class so she could start her own business.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: She At the time, this woman who borrowed the money
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: was engaged to a man, a preacher. She was engaged
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: to be married, so he loaned her the money. They
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: barely kept in touch after that. Uh. The woman went
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: on to get married to the preacher, and the guy
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: was busy with his family and traveling for work. So
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: recently he decided to check on his friend to see
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: how she was doing in her new career as an
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: insurance agent. Right Jay. He also he also planned when
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: when he was checking on her, to ask her about
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: his money when she was going to pay him back. Well,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: when he called her, she thanked him for the loan
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: and everything, but she said she she never took the
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: insurance class, and she didn't have the money to pay
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: him back, and she wouldn't be able to pay him,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: and please don't tell her husband or ask ask him
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: anything about it because it would cause a big stink
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: in her marriage, a big problem. So um, he says.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: You know. She went on to say that instead of
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: giving him the money, she offered him her personal services. Now,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: keep in mind, she is married to a pastor. Now.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: She was engaged initially when she asked for the money,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: when she borrowed the money, but now she's married to
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: the pastor. She's the first lady of a church. Uh.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: The guy asked her for her money, she said she
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: didn't have it, but she did offer her personal services,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: uh to pay off her debt. Um. So he said
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: he's never wanted to be intimate with her. He never
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: wanted to cheat on his wife in that way. He's
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: asking us, should he count this as a total loss?
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: And should he tell her husband? And what should he do?
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: We've heard from You've heard from me, You've heard from Ja.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Now Tommy, it's on you. What you got? Why why
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: don't you see your blessing when it's in you? Why
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: don't you see the blessing you have three hundred and
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: twenty dollars worth of service coming your way? Why? What? What? What? What?
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: What I got out with? Man? He didn't get out
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: what I got out. I'm just saying, you don't see this.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: We're getting three hundred and twenty dollars worth the service,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: and we can break that up over of course, the

- 1:13:21Speaker 1: al right, here we go. Alright, alright, Jay, if you
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: if you have a car that costs more than your house,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: guess what you have. If you got to look outside
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: every thirty or forty minutes to make sure your car

- 1:17:42Speaker 1: the back. You can't. All right, here's the last one.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: You bought a ticket to the essence that but you
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: don't have a room or you don't have any spending cash.

- 1:28:02Speaker 1: wife and her whole family is hot. But I didn't
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: marry her for that. I made it because I loved
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: her and her mom. I guess the roof was leaking,
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: so she wanted to show me where the leak was at,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: so she going with the ladder looking up. She ain't
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: got no panties on, so come on, I didn't pay
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: it no mind. So then we got back down. So
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: she was talking about pricing. I told her, no, don't
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: worry about this, bought of applause and not do it
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: for free. So then she wanted up just going down

- 1:29:20Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. So, Mrs Farrell,
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: you went on vacation over the weekend, you and the family.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: How was that? Tell us about it? Oh, it was fantastic.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: We went to Los Cabos, Mexicoles. Yeah, and let me
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: tell you all this, this is the cool thing. So
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: we flew United Airlines to Los Cabos, Mexico. And so
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: we were getting off the plane and you know how
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: the pilot you know, stands outside the cockpit door and
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: greet you know, people and thank the passengers for flying
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: or whatever. So there was a female pilot the captain
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: and yeah, yeah, it was so cool. I was like,
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: all write girl power and I was, you know, pointing
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: this out to my daughter Tasha, and Tasha was like wow.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: So the captain invited Tasha inside the coppit. She was like,
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: you want to come in, you want to see the
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: plane and she was like what. Tasha looked at me,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: she said, sure, can I go? Money? Is it okay? Yeah?
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: She was touching stuff. Jack. This captain let my daughter
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: sit in the chair, the captain's hat, She let her
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: push the hat on. Yes, yes, everything girl, Carla, if
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: you want to I did go the lips by Carla.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: Thank you Shirley on my Instagram page or Facebook, Twitter
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: and you can check out this video. It is so
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: full with the cap on and everything. She didn't do
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: and she put the cap on, but she took it,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: took it off and put it right beside her. Tasha
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: did because she didn't want to, you know, disrespect captain.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: But it was so cool. But my husband Jay, he
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: was like, he was kind of jealous. I think a
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: little bit because I am too. I mean, your problem
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: ticket as I bought. Nobody ever invited me up there
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: and put a hat on and touch things and sit
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: in the seat. Yeah, it was incredible. It was so cool.
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: But then so I shared the video I shared at
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: this moment, and then United Airlines responded to my video
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: because in the video, the pilot told my daughter that
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: she can be anything that she wants to be. It
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: was so cool, girl power moment, and United Airlines said,
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: We're glad your daughter was able to see the cockpit
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: and meet such a great captain. She can surely be
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: anything she wants to be in the future, and we
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: be happy to have her on our team flying the
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: skies in the future. Thank you for sharing. And it
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: was from the United Airlines, So I'm happy. I'm so happy.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: But will you tell you now that Jay wants to
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: do that? But you got the hook up you already know.

- 1:32:45Speaker 1: the perform for the troops, you know, Oh man, they
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: let me sit up there and you put the headphones on.
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: It's it's a it's a whole different feeling, a whole
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: different feelings sitting in the back plane. That's what I
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: want to do. So Toms and Tommy being on. So Jake,
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: come on, Paul. You know some people already tell him
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: want to do he wants to Why your tickets you're
