- 0:00Speaker 1: Is incompetently run. I guess Biden was thinking about other things,
- 0:03Speaker 1: wasn't he. They cost a tremendous amount of money. It's
- 0:06Speaker 1: very bureaucratic, it's very slow. Other than that, we're very
- 0:09Speaker 1: happy with them. I want more babies in the United
- 0:11Speaker 1: States of America.
- 0:14Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Good Morning, It's Ben Ferguson. Nice to have you with
- 0:20Speaker 3: us on this Saturday morning. And here are the big
- 0:22Speaker 3: stories that we're covering coming out of the White House.
- 0:25Speaker 3: First up, it is a victory. Pete Headgseth is officially
- 0:30Speaker 3: now the man in charge at the Pentagon. After Democrats
- 0:34Speaker 3: had everything they could and coulding lie and slander him
- 0:38Speaker 3: trying to stop the nomination. It didn't work, and it's
- 0:41Speaker 3: a big victory for MAGA. Also, Donald Trump made it
- 0:44Speaker 3: very clear on Friday that he was standing with all
- 0:47Speaker 3: victims in this country of horrific natural disasters, stopping first
- 0:52Speaker 3: in North Carolina where people had clearly been forgotten by
- 0:55Speaker 3: the Biden demonstration, and then made his way all the
- 0:58Speaker 3: way out to California to help the people there that
- 1:01Speaker 3: have been dealing with the wildfires. Will have more on
- 1:04Speaker 3: what the President said about that, including saying it's time
- 1:07Speaker 3: to overhaul or get rid of FEMA. And finally, Vice
- 1:11Speaker 3: President Jeddy Vance delivered a speech at the annual March
- 1:14Speaker 3: for Life rally in DC, making it very clear that
- 1:17Speaker 3: even if the media won't cover this event, he is
- 1:19Speaker 3: going to stand with the rights of unborn children. It's
- 1:23Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Democrats did everything they could to try to stop Pete
- 1:31Speaker 3: Headseth from becoming the Secretary of Defense. They slandered him,
- 1:36Speaker 3: they lied, and they used, of course anonymous sources to
- 1:39Speaker 3: try to make him look like he was the worst
- 1:41Speaker 3: man in the world. Well, the good news is it
- 1:45Speaker 3: didn't work. After a fifty to fifty tie vote in
- 1:50Speaker 3: the Senate, there was one man that got to show
- 1:52Speaker 3: up and vote again. He even laughed about it on
- 1:56Speaker 3: social media. As the Vice President jady Van said, I
- 1:59Speaker 3: thought I was done voting in the Senate. Well he
- 2:01Speaker 3: showed up to cast a vote and here's what he said.
- 2:04Speaker 4: If not on this vote, the Ya's are fifty and
- 2:07Speaker 4: the nays are fifty, the Senate being equally divided. The
- 2:10Speaker 4: Vice President votes in the affirmative and the nomination is confirmed.
- 2:17Speaker 3: And just like that, it was official. Pete Headseth was
- 2:21Speaker 3: confirmed as Secretary of Defense. Now what we're also learning
- 2:25Speaker 3: about Pete Headseth is he is bringing in some incredible
- 2:28Speaker 3: people around him who are already getting involved in important
- 2:33Speaker 3: issues like securing the southern border. How do we know this.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Heavily armed members of our military were seen flying to
- 2:41Speaker 3: the southern border on Friday and disembarking major military aircraft
- 2:47Speaker 3: giving aid in support to border security the Department of
- 2:52Speaker 3: Homeland Security to pay off on the promise of making
- 2:55Speaker 3: America safe again at our southern border. This is just
- 3:00Speaker 3: one thing that the Secretary of Defense is going to
- 3:02Speaker 3: have to deal with. He will also have to deal
- 3:04Speaker 3: with what's happening in the Middle East with Israel hamas
- 3:07Speaker 3: Hezblah and helping to wind down the war between Russia
- 3:11Speaker 3: and Ukraine. At the end of the day, Democrats wanted
- 3:15Speaker 3: to derail this nomination. They wanted to hurt not only
- 3:19Speaker 3: the President of the United States of America, but they
- 3:22Speaker 3: wanted to destroy Pete Headseth personally. And it did not work.
- 3:27Speaker 3: So congratulations to Pete on becoming the Secretary of Defense.
- 3:31Speaker 3: And congratulations of President Trump for packing a fabulous nominee
- 3:35Speaker 3: to reform.
- 3:36Speaker 2: The DoD Now story Number two.
- 3:39Speaker 3: President Donald Trump, showing true leadership in the first few
- 3:42Speaker 3: days in office, made it very clear that he is
- 3:44Speaker 3: going to be a president for all Americans who are suffering,
- 3:47Speaker 3: especially when it comes to natural disasters. Donald Trump said
- 3:51Speaker 3: politics should not have anything to do with helping Americans
- 3:56Speaker 3: after they deal with a disaster. Unfortunately, that is exactly
- 3:59Speaker 3: what has happened under the Biden administration. For the people
- 4:02Speaker 3: in Tennessee and North Carolina, they were the forgotten ones.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Simply put, Democrats said, who are they going to vote
- 4:09Speaker 3: for or who did they vote for in the past,
- 4:11Speaker 3: And when they realized it was quote Maga country, they
- 4:14Speaker 3: didn't care about them at all. The complete opposite has happened, however,
- 4:18Speaker 3: for Democrats when it comes to those in La and
- 4:22Speaker 3: the surrounding areas that have been affected by the wildfires, well,
- 4:25Speaker 3: Donald Trump said, I'm not going to do it that way,
- 4:28Speaker 3: And so he woke up this morning with the First
- 4:30Speaker 3: Lady and immediately went to North Carolina where he listened
- 4:35Speaker 3: to the people who had lost everything from that hurricane
- 4:38Speaker 3: and the flooding that happened afterwards, he listened to what
- 4:42Speaker 3: was wrong with our government response and how FEMA had
- 4:45Speaker 3: failed them in so many different ways. He also promised
- 4:49Speaker 3: that he was going to stand by them and help
- 4:51Speaker 3: them rebuild quickly, and even made sure that there were
- 4:54Speaker 3: certain point people within his administration that are going to
- 4:57Speaker 3: take the lead. In North Carolina, the present was angry
- 5:01Speaker 3: about what he saw there and just how bad FEMA's
- 5:04Speaker 3: response has been. Before he went to California, the President
- 5:08Speaker 3: had this to say about maybe getting rid of FEMA,
- 5:12Speaker 3: or at the bare minimum, overhauling the agency.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Even an order on FEMA getting rid of it. Can
- 5:18Speaker 1: you say more about time to think you've an order
- 5:20Speaker 1: to get rid of FEMA. FEMA has been a very
- 5:24Speaker 1: big disappointment. They cost a tremendous amount of money, it's
- 5:29Speaker 1: very bureaucratic, and it's very slow. Other than that, we're
- 5:33Speaker 1: very happy with them, okay. And I think it's I
- 5:36Speaker 1: think when there's a when there's a problem with the state,
- 5:41Speaker 1: I think that that problem should be taken care of
- 5:44Speaker 1: by the state. That's what we have states for. They
- 5:46Speaker 1: take care of problems, and a governor can handle something
- 5:49Speaker 1: very quickly. You know, one of the things I've noticed
- 5:52Speaker 1: because I've been doing this for a while and we
- 5:55Speaker 1: had a pretty good FEMA. But I also noticed that
- 5:57Speaker 1: when they come, they end up in argument. They're fighting
- 6:01Speaker 1: all the time over who does what. It's just it's
- 6:03Speaker 1: just not a good system. This system is so beautifully
- 6:08Speaker 1: designed over two hundred and fifty years approximately, you know,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and we'll soon be celebrating the two hundred and fiftieth year.
- 6:16Speaker 1: It's going to be a very big celebration. But it's
- 6:19Speaker 1: been designed very well and we're going to leave it
- 6:21Speaker 1: that way. When North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, when
- 6:28Speaker 1: everybody knows the governor of Tennessee, I think everybody, do
- 6:32Speaker 1: you you know everybody here pretty much? He's hope. I
- 6:35Speaker 1: never thought of it. But you're right over the ridge,
- 6:38Speaker 1: so you're here to help.
- 6:39Speaker 4: That's the people in this region, including Tosey, the people
- 6:43Speaker 4: of bat Placia, are grateful that you are here and
- 6:47Speaker 4: that you haven't forgotten it. There are other disasters, but
- 6:51Speaker 4: this one was enormous for both North Carolina and Tennessee,
- 6:54Speaker 4: so thank you.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You know, I've seen a lot of disasters, and this
- 6:57Speaker 1: when I came, I came here right after the day after,
- 7:00Speaker 1: and when I came here, I couldn't believe it. Actually,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I couldn't believe the damage. And I've seen a lot
- 7:05Speaker 1: of them.
- 7:06Speaker 4: This was.
- 7:08Speaker 1: More like a tornado.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Than it was what we witnessed.
- 7:11Speaker 1: So we're going to get it very much, very much
- 7:14Speaker 1: taken care of. Good job.
- 7:15Speaker 3: That's nice that you can't you hear the President saying it.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Good job, And we're glad that you came and we're
- 7:20Speaker 3: here to help and get things fixed. This was very
- 7:23Speaker 3: different type of conversation North Carolina than the President had
- 7:27Speaker 3: when he went out to California. Donald Trump had a
- 7:30Speaker 3: press conference that went off the rails as Democrats tried
- 7:34Speaker 3: to defend their incompetency when it comes having no water
- 7:38Speaker 3: in the fire hydrants and not actually collecting rain water
- 7:41Speaker 3: in their reservoirs. What did Donald Trump have to say
- 7:44Speaker 3: to them, take a listen.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Was incompetently run and it costs about three times more
- 7:48Speaker 1: than it should cost. I'm hoping we can spend money
- 7:50Speaker 1: on schools instead of giving money to bureaucracy. It takes
- 7:54Speaker 1: you so much longer, that's the president. I begged you,
- 7:59Speaker 1: so how much long enough? For helping our people? Now
- 8:02Speaker 1: FEMA has a standard BREAD and I'm a builder. I built,
- 8:05Speaker 1: I was a very good builder. FEMA has a standard
- 8:09Speaker 1: that's so slow. They want permit on permit on permit,
- 8:13Speaker 1: and then they want permits on top of that. If
- 8:16Speaker 1: you use FEMA, you'll be here for a long time.
- 8:19Speaker 1: What I'm saying is, get the city, get the state
- 8:23Speaker 1: to give you immediate twenty four hour permits. These people
- 8:26Speaker 1: are going to build their own homes. They're going to
- 8:28Speaker 1: get them built fast. How many of the people, could
- 8:30Speaker 1: I ask you one question? How many of the people?
- 8:33Speaker 1: What are people going to do for financing? What are
- 8:35Speaker 1: people going to do? How many people can build a
- 8:37Speaker 1: home a percentage wise, like where they don't have to
- 8:41Speaker 1: go out and get funds. Some people are just not
- 8:44Speaker 1: going to be able to rebuild their home because they
- 8:46Speaker 1: have a beautiful home, but they don't have cash, right
- 8:49Speaker 1: So what are what are people looking to do? In
- 8:51Speaker 1: that case, you're going to have a big percentage I
- 8:54Speaker 1: would assume bread like that.
- 8:55Speaker 3: What are they going to do?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Go ahead, mister president, without your help, They're only going
- 9:00Speaker 1: to get forty three thousand dollars from the federal government,
- 9:03Speaker 1: even if they have a health you know, they'll take
- 9:06Speaker 1: something bread with. Every insurance company in the country left California.
- 9:10Speaker 1: That's why you have no insurance because you made it
- 9:12Speaker 1: so impossible. People that think like you made it so impossible,
- 9:17Speaker 1: and you at me every insurance company.
- 9:20Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I don't know what I'll tell you about. I've never
- 9:24Speaker 1: seen a state where almost nobody has insurance. And they said,
- 9:27Speaker 1: what happened? And they said, like six months ago they
- 9:30Speaker 1: all left, and two years ago they had different you know, quadrants,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but they left, and you have very little insurance here.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I mean, I've never seen anything like it. We had
- 9:39Speaker 1: a lot of insurance companies pull out, but I have
- 9:41Speaker 1: no insurance companies actually have been warning you. Now I'm
- 9:45Speaker 1: not a big fan of insurance companies. Okay, they have
- 9:47Speaker 1: their big drugbacks too, but the insurance company I've been reading.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I read the papers very well, and you know, they've
- 9:53Speaker 1: been warning California for a long time. They've also been saying,
- 9:56Speaker 1: we want water. You don't have water. You know, you're
- 9:59Speaker 1: supposed to get fire insurance, and the insurance company goes
- 10:02Speaker 1: that you don't have any what are in your fire hydrants?
- 10:05Speaker 1: So it's a tough situation. I'm not a big fan
- 10:08Speaker 1: of insurance companies. I get that they're pulling out a Flooridad.
- 10:12Speaker 1: You lost your insurance companies six months ago because the
- 10:16Speaker 1: state wouldn't give them what they had to have.
- 10:19Speaker 3: This is why so many Americans voted for Donald Trump.
- 10:22Speaker 3: He is staring the people in California in the face
- 10:26Speaker 3: that created this disaster, and he's calling them out for
- 10:29Speaker 3: their incompetency. The media, by the way, was saying, oh,
- 10:32Speaker 3: the President came here to chastise people that were in need.
- 10:36Speaker 3: If you notice the people clapping the audience with the homeowners,
- 10:40Speaker 3: they were thankful that Donald Trump was there. Don't buy
- 10:43Speaker 3: the media narrative on this one. Donald Trump is speaking
- 10:46Speaker 3: truth to the incompetent leaders in California and the citizens
- 10:51Speaker 3: were cheering him on today.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And lastly, story number three, there was a major story.
- 10:56Speaker 3: On Friday that happened. It's a story that the media
- 10:59Speaker 3: did not cover. You will not see or read what
- 11:03Speaker 3: I'm about to tell you in ninety nine percent of
- 11:05Speaker 3: the media coverage of what happened on Friday in America.
- 11:09Speaker 3: That's why I do this show for you every day.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Vice President J. D. Vance delivered a speech, an important
- 11:16Speaker 3: speech at the annual March for Life rally in Washington,
- 11:19Speaker 3: d C. Where he emphasized his desire for more babies
- 11:23Speaker 3: in the United States of America. What a novel idea.
- 11:26Speaker 3: He also criticized the nation's culture of abortion on demand.
- 11:32Speaker 3: He advocated for a society that supports families and values
- 11:35Speaker 3: life at all stages, highlighting the importance of assisting young
- 11:40Speaker 3: couples in raising thriving and healthy families. Vance also celebrated
- 11:46Speaker 3: the administration's recent decision to limit the prosecution of anti
- 11:51Speaker 3: abortion activists. Is what the left will call them, when
- 11:54Speaker 3: in reality they were prayer warriors. They were by the
- 11:58Speaker 3: entrances of reproductive health clinics, and what did the Department
- 12:02Speaker 3: of Justice do? They went after them like they were terrorists,
- 12:06Speaker 3: and many of them received pardons from the President this
- 12:09Speaker 3: week as well. In his address, Vance underscored the administration's
- 12:13Speaker 3: commitment to protecting unborn children and fostering what he described
- 12:18Speaker 3: as a culture that celebrates life, aligning with President Trump's
- 12:23Speaker 3: message to the rally, which reaffirmed support for pro life
- 12:27Speaker 3: initiatives and the protection of women and children. Simply put,
- 12:32Speaker 3: the Vice President said this, So let me say.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Very simply, I want more babies in the United States
- 12:38Speaker 1: of America.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Sometimes simple lines like that can state so much about
- 12:48Speaker 3: what an administration values. This administration values life, and they're
- 12:53Speaker 3: willing to stand up for life and protect it and
- 12:56Speaker 3: also pardon those that were persecuted for standing up for life.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Praying at abortion clinics another job well done in the
- 13:05Speaker 3: first week of President Trump forty seven's administration.
