- 0:00Speaker 1: Mis your president, you have a reaction to the new
- 0:02Speaker 1: Time magazine cover that has Elon Musk sitting behind your
- 0:06Speaker 1: resolute desk.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Time this Time magazine still in business.
- 0:11Speaker 1: I didn't even know that.
- 0:13Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Happy Thursday morning, and here are the big stories we're
- 0:20Speaker 2: covering today on the forty seven Morning Update. First up,
- 0:23Speaker 2: the state sponsored media, those covering for the Democrats and
- 0:27Speaker 2: shocking News have actually been paid for years millions of
- 0:32Speaker 2: dollars of your tax money, including the Associated Press and Politico.
- 0:37Speaker 2: It's all been uncovered by Elon Musk. So what will
- 0:40Speaker 2: happen next? I'll explain it to you. Also, the Democrats
- 0:44Speaker 2: are furious at what's happening in our government, the downsizing
- 0:49Speaker 2: and the corruption being exposed. So what do they decide
- 0:52Speaker 2: to do. They're now moving to impeach Donald Trump for
- 0:56Speaker 2: a third time. I'll explain who's behind it, and just
- 0:59Speaker 2: to moment and finally, the Attorney General, Pam Bondi orders
- 1:03Speaker 2: the Department of Justice to pause all federal funding for
- 1:08Speaker 2: sanctuary cities. It is the forty seven Morning Update and
- 1:11Speaker 2: it starts right now.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Story number one.
- 1:14Speaker 2: This may become the biggest scandal in news media history,
- 1:18Speaker 2: the United States government handing over millions and millions of
- 1:22Speaker 2: dollars to independent news companies. The question now is what
- 1:27Speaker 2: was the government getting in return? And the second question
- 1:31Speaker 2: that everyone should be asking is why did the money
- 1:35Speaker 2: skyrocket to The New York Times, the Associated Press, Politico
- 1:39Speaker 2: and many others after they started criticizing Donald Trump. Well,
- 1:44Speaker 2: the answer may be very simple. The United States government
- 1:47Speaker 2: under the Biden and Harris regime, we're bribing the medium
- 1:50Speaker 2: to attack their political opponents and giving them millions of
- 1:53Speaker 2: dollars in the process. Now, the White House Press Secretary
- 1:57Speaker 2: Caroline Levitt confirmed reports that million in federal funding went
- 2:01Speaker 2: to Politico and other media organizations, declaring that taxpayer dollars
- 2:06Speaker 2: would no longer essentially subsidize subscriptions. That's how they titled
- 2:11Speaker 2: the payments to news outlets to prompt them up and
- 2:14Speaker 2: in reality paying for coverage that they wanted to attack
- 2:17Speaker 2: their political opponents, which was Donald Trump and the conservative movement.
- 2:21Speaker 4: And I can confirm that the more than eight million
- 2:24Speaker 4: taxpayer dollars that have gone to essentially subsidizing subscriptions to Politico,
- 2:29Speaker 4: the American taxpayer's dying will no longer be happening. The
- 2:32Speaker 4: DOGE team is working on canceling those payments.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Now.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Again, this is a whole of government effort to ensure
- 2:37Speaker 4: that we are going line by line when it comes
- 2:41Speaker 4: to the federal of government's books, and this president and
- 2:44Speaker 4: his team are making decisions across the board on do
- 2:48Speaker 4: these receipts serve the interests of the American people. Is
- 2:52Speaker 4: this a good use of the American taxpayers money. If
- 2:55Speaker 4: it is not, that funding will no longer be sent
- 2:57Speaker 4: abroad and American taxpayers will see significant savings because of
- 3:01Speaker 4: that effort.
- 3:02Speaker 2: So let's talk about this scheme and how it worked well.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Between the year's twenty twenty four and twenty twenty five alone,
- 3:09Speaker 2: federal agencies allocated more than nine point five million dollars
- 3:14Speaker 2: to Politico for what they described as subscriptions. The reality
- 3:18Speaker 2: Politico is writing articles that were attacking Donald Trump and
- 3:22Speaker 2: other conservatives. You could say this was a pay to
- 3:25Speaker 2: play scheme. Department such as the Health and Human Services,
- 3:29Speaker 2: the Interior, Energy Department, Agriculture, and Commerce were among the
- 3:33Speaker 2: quote primary subscribers. The question American taxpayer should ask is
- 3:38Speaker 2: how many subscriptions. Did you need nine point five million
- 3:41Speaker 2: dollars worth to do your jobs at those departments? Or
- 3:45Speaker 2: were you buying attack ads in essence to attack the
- 3:48Speaker 2: people that may be asking questions about what you're doing
- 3:51Speaker 2: in those different departments of government. We also found out
- 3:54Speaker 2: Politico wasn't the only one on the take. Apparently the
- 3:57Speaker 2: New York Times they could be purchased as well, and
- 4:00Speaker 2: the Associated Press. Since twenty twenty two, the New York
- 4:04Speaker 2: Times has received more than three hundred and fifty thousand
- 4:06Speaker 2: dollars annually from federal agencies, with total contributions amounting to
- 4:11Speaker 2: millions and millions. Since two thousand and eight, the Associated
- 4:15Speaker 2: Press has also secured tens of million dollars for its
- 4:18Speaker 2: news wire services. And then there was another problem, and
- 4:23Speaker 2: that is the fact that when these companies started writing
- 4:26Speaker 2: really nasty articles about Donald Trump, just like Politico did
- 4:30Speaker 2: when they said that the Hunter Biden laptop story was
- 4:32Speaker 2: fake news and not real, the money started to flow
- 4:35Speaker 2: in at record pace. Now it wasn't just political attacks
- 4:40Speaker 2: that seemed to jump as the money flowed from the
- 4:42Speaker 2: Democratic government under Biden and Harris, but also when they
- 4:46Speaker 2: needed cover on other issues like COVID. How do we
- 4:49Speaker 2: know this, Well, here's a great example. The bulk of
- 4:52Speaker 2: the funds, for example, that went to the New York Times,
- 4:54Speaker 2: the tens of millions of dollars over just the past
- 4:57Speaker 2: five years. Well, the bulk of it came from the
- 4:59Speaker 2: US to part Gartment of Health and Human Services at
- 5:02Speaker 2: twenty six point nine million, followed by the National Science
- 5:06Speaker 2: Foundation at nineteen point one point five million. Why would
- 5:09Speaker 2: the New York Times be receiving that much money. Well,
- 5:13Speaker 2: I'm sure we won't get a straight answer, but you
- 5:15Speaker 2: could guess that had something to do with the coverage
- 5:17Speaker 2: of COVID nineteen. And you may be asking about the
- 5:20Speaker 2: other government departments that we're paying out massive amounts of
- 5:23Speaker 2: money to these private media companies. Well, there were some
- 5:26Speaker 2: other big stories they need some help on as well,
- 5:28Speaker 2: maybe promoting pro Ukraine war funding, or writing stories that
- 5:32Speaker 2: were anti Trump and the run up to the election,
- 5:34Speaker 2: or even now maybe the anti Elon Musk propaganda. The
- 5:38Speaker 2: moral of the story is it all makes a lot
- 5:40Speaker 2: more sense now when you follow the money. Now story
- 5:42Speaker 2: number two, the conspiracy in government for control and power
- 5:46Speaker 2: is now being exposed at a level that none of
- 5:49Speaker 2: us I think even could have imagined before Doge got
- 5:51Speaker 2: a hold of the government's receipts, and I never would
- 5:54Speaker 2: have thought I could say this in my lifetime. But
- 5:56Speaker 2: in government right now, Donald Trump may not be the
- 5:59Speaker 2: most hated manned by the Democratic Party or the liberal media.
- 6:02Speaker 2: It may actually be a guy by the name of
- 6:04Speaker 2: Elon Musk, But the person who's giving him his power
- 6:07Speaker 2: is still Donald Trump, the President. Now there's some new
- 6:11Speaker 2: USA spinning that has also been uncovered. I'll give you
- 6:14Speaker 2: a few of the highlights real quick before I explain
- 6:16Speaker 2: exactly why they're now calling for Donald Trump to be
- 6:19Speaker 2: in Pete for the third time. Two million dollars for
- 6:22Speaker 2: Moroccan pottery classes has been exposed. Another two million of
- 6:26Speaker 2: your tax dollars promoting tourism to Lebanon, twenty million for
- 6:29Speaker 2: a Sesame street show in Iraq. Sending Ukrainians to Paris
- 6:33Speaker 2: for fashion Week. You paid for as well, one point
- 6:36Speaker 2: five million of your tax dollars for DEI in Serbia,
- 6:39Speaker 2: seventy thousand for a DII musical in Ireland, forty seven
- 6:43Speaker 2: thousand of your tax dollars for a transgender opera in Colombia,
- 6:47Speaker 2: two million for sex change operations in Guatemala, and six
- 6:51Speaker 2: million for you to pay for tourism to be exciting
- 6:55Speaker 2: in Egypt, and one million to help disabled people in
- 6:58Speaker 2: Tezikstan become quote climate leaders. This on top of the
- 7:02Speaker 2: fifteen million for contraceptives and condoms that were going to
- 7:05Speaker 2: the Taliban controlled Afghanistan. Now, these are just some of
- 7:10Speaker 2: the things that we know about. Much more is coming out.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And what this means is is the kickbacks that the
- 7:15Speaker 2: Democrats were able to use to control people. While that
- 7:18Speaker 2: gravy train is now stopped. So what have they decided
- 7:22Speaker 2: to do? Impeach Donald Trump for a third time. Representative
- 7:27Speaker 2: al Green went to the four of the House to
- 7:29Speaker 2: explain exactly why Democrats are moving to impeach Donald Trump.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I rise to announce that the movement to impeach the
- 7:38Speaker 1: President has begun. I rise to announce that I will
- 7:41Speaker 1: bring articles of impeachments against the President for destinately deeds
- 7:47Speaker 1: proposed and destinately deeds done. I also rise to say
- 7:52Speaker 1: that the impeachment movement is going to be a grass
- 7:54Speaker 1: up movement, not a top down. The people have got
- 7:58Speaker 1: to move forward, the people have to demand it, and
- 8:01Speaker 1: when the people demanded it will be done. I did
- 8:04Speaker 1: it before. I laid the foundation for impeachment, and it
- 8:08Speaker 1: was done. Nobody knows more about it than I, and
- 8:11Speaker 1: I know that it's time for us to lay the
- 8:13Speaker 1: foundation again. On some issues, it is better to stand
- 8:16Speaker 1: alone than not stand at all. On this issue, I
- 8:20Speaker 1: stand alone, but I stand for justice. I yield back
- 8:24Speaker 1: the balance of my time.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Representative Al Green making it clear, quote, the movement to
- 8:28Speaker 2: impeach the president has begun, and I rise to announce
- 8:32Speaker 2: that I will bring the articles of impeachment against President Trump.
- 8:36Speaker 2: The media jumping all over this, excited about the fact
- 8:39Speaker 2: that Donald Trump, who's been impeached twice, well well more
- 8:42Speaker 2: than likely, as they described it, being peached yet again.
- 8:45Speaker 2: This move marks a continuation of the Democrats' previous efforts
- 8:50Speaker 2: to get rid of Donald Trump during his first term,
- 8:52Speaker 2: none of which were successful, despite resistance from top House
- 8:56Speaker 2: Democrats who are currently not prioritizing impeachmentbscribe to the media,
- 9:01Speaker 2: greenstress the moral imperative, that is time that we go
- 9:04Speaker 2: ahead and start the process. Other Democrats coming to his aid, saying,
- 9:09Speaker 2: we all know Donald Trump's going to get impeached again.
- 9:12Speaker 2: It's just a matter of time. This time however, it
- 9:15Speaker 2: seems to be a little bit different. They are forced
- 9:18Speaker 2: to do it now because they've lost the kickbacks they
- 9:21Speaker 2: need to control so many around the world.
- 9:23Speaker 3: And lastly, story number three.
- 9:25Speaker 2: We finally have a new Attorney General in this country,
- 9:28Speaker 2: a woman by the name of Pam Bondi, and she
- 9:30Speaker 2: wasted no time after being sworn in at the Oval Office,
- 9:34Speaker 2: with Clarence Thomas giving her the oath to get right
- 9:37Speaker 2: down to business on several major directives in her first
- 9:40Speaker 2: hours leading the Justice Department. What was included was orders
- 9:43Speaker 2: to combat the weaponization of the legal system, make prosecutors
- 9:47Speaker 2: seek the death penalty when appropriate, and work with a
- 9:50Speaker 2: Department of Homeland Security to completely eliminate cartels and transnational
- 9:56Speaker 2: criminal organizations, which will lay the groundwork for the Justice
- 10:00Speaker 2: Department under her leadership. Bondi issued a director regarding zealous advocacy,
- 10:05Speaker 2: saying that DOJ attorneys responsibilities include quote aggressively enforcing criminal
- 10:10Speaker 2: laws passed by Congress, but also vigorously defending presidential policies
- 10:15Speaker 2: and actions on behalf of the United States against legal challenges.
- 10:19Speaker 2: The discretion afforded Justice Department attorneys with respect to those
- 10:22Speaker 2: responsibilities does not include latitude to substitute their personal political
- 10:27Speaker 2: views or judgment for those that prevailed in the election.
- 10:31Speaker 2: The memo states and translation, Pambondi says, do your job
- 10:36Speaker 2: and leave your politics at the door. Now, this isn't
- 10:39Speaker 2: all that Pambondi pushed. One of the biggest things was
- 10:42Speaker 2: making sure that sanctuary cities were defunded by the federal government. Yes,
- 10:46Speaker 2: Pambonni also issued a directive to halt all federal funding
- 10:50Speaker 2: to sanctuary jurisdictions, cities and states that limit cooperation with
- 10:54Speaker 2: federal immigration authorities. This order mandates an immediate sixty day
- 10:59Speaker 2: pause on fund distribution, during which the Department of Justice
- 11:03Speaker 2: will review existing agreements with these jurisdictions.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Now.
- 11:06Speaker 2: This review aims to identify and terminate agreements that violate
- 11:10Speaker 2: federal law or deemed wasteful, fraudulent, or abusive. In other words,
- 11:15Speaker 2: if you're protecting illegal immigrants and not working with ICE,
- 11:19Speaker 2: do not expect to get federal funds. Bonding's directive also
- 11:23Speaker 2: stipulates that the DOJ shall not enter into new contracts, grants,
- 11:27Speaker 2: or agreements with non governmental organizations known as NGOs that
- 11:32Speaker 2: support or provide services to illegal aliens. This move aligns
- 11:37Speaker 2: with the Trump administration's broader strategy to enforce federal immigration
- 11:41Speaker 2: laws and compel sanctuary jurisdictions to comply with federal law. Now,
- 11:47Speaker 2: the decision has significant implications for sanctuary jurisdictions such as
- 11:52Speaker 2: New York, California, Connecticut, which may face major budgetary challenges
- 11:57Speaker 2: due to the potential loss of federal funds. These areas
- 12:01Speaker 2: rely on federal funding for various services, and the pause
- 12:04Speaker 2: could strain their resources, especially amid ongoing challenges related to
- 12:08Speaker 2: being a sanctuary city with all of the costs and
- 12:11Speaker 2: overhead for dealing with the illegal immigrants. Now, the move
- 12:14Speaker 2: to defund sanctuary cities expected to face legal challenges. This
- 12:18Speaker 2: is something the White House new going into the decision.
- 12:21Speaker 2: This is similar to the efforts during President Trump's first
- 12:23Speaker 2: term led to lawsuits from affected jurisdictions. The outcomes of
- 12:27Speaker 2: these legal battles remain uncertain and will likely influence the
- 12:30Speaker 2: implications of Bondie's directives. But the bottom line is Pam
- 12:33Speaker 2: Bondi is going on offense doing exactly what the American
- 12:37Speaker 2: people gave Donald Trump and mandate to do, which was
- 12:39Speaker 2: to crack down on illegal immigrants all over the country.
