- 1:06Speaker 2: You love. You're gonna turn.
- 1:31Speaker 6: I can.
- 1:41Speaker 3: To turn the mouse to turn you probably got to
- 1:44Speaker 3: turn the mouth to turn out the water the mono.
- 1:55Speaker 7: Come come out you, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 7: You are listening to the voice, Come on dig me
- 2:07Speaker 7: now one and on it. Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:10Speaker 7: show particular me this morning. Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:16Speaker 7: show filled with nothing but joy and hope about it too.
- 2:22Speaker 7: You know, it's a great thing to be able to
- 2:23Speaker 7: wake up in the morning with peace in your heart
- 2:26Speaker 7: and joy. Peace and joy is immeasurable. It has a
- 2:31Speaker 7: value attached to it, and I have no idea what
- 2:34Speaker 7: it is. It's invaluable. It is worth so much more
- 2:38Speaker 7: than any amount of money you can make. Peace and joy.
- 2:43Speaker 7: I have not always had that.
- 2:46Speaker 8: I've not always been a peaceful person or a person
- 2:50Speaker 8: who lived his life and enjoy spirit. It took an
- 2:55Speaker 8: arrival at this moment. Some people arrived sooner than others.
- 3:00Speaker 8: I wish I had arrived at this point sooner, but
- 3:04Speaker 8: I think it was necessary for me to learn a
- 3:06Speaker 8: few things too. That's the amazing thing I've learned about
- 3:10Speaker 8: life is that instead of reflecting on your past incidences
- 3:18Speaker 8: and calling them failures, instead of focusing on the negative
- 3:21Speaker 8: and calling them bad times, I look at them now
- 3:27Speaker 8: as experiences. I had to have those experiences that were negative,
- 3:32Speaker 8: that were good, positive, wrong, evil. I had to have
- 3:37Speaker 8: all those experiences to become to shape who we are today.
- 3:44Speaker 8: We all have to have them. If you look back
- 3:47Speaker 8: at all the negative experiences you've had, all the things
- 3:51Speaker 8: that you called failures, all the businesses I started that
- 3:55Speaker 8: went under, all of the jobs I had that I
- 3:57Speaker 8: was fired from, all the shows that were canceled, all
- 4:02Speaker 8: of the times I thought I was gonna get something
- 4:05Speaker 8: happened in my way and turned out I didn't get
- 4:07Speaker 8: it at all. When you look at all of it,
- 4:10Speaker 8: all of it, hopefully along the way, what you have
- 4:13Speaker 8: done as a person is you've taken those negatives and
- 4:18Speaker 8: those failures and you've used them for what they actually are.
- 4:21Speaker 8: They are experiences, and they've now created in you an
- 4:26Speaker 8: experienced person, and you know that is worth something. That's
- 4:33Speaker 8: then it becomes a positive. But what too many people
- 4:37Speaker 8: do is they let the negative things that have happened
- 4:40Speaker 8: in their life. They allow the failures that have happened
- 4:43Speaker 8: in them lives never to manifest themselves as experiences. And
- 4:48Speaker 8: you sit up there and you dwell on it, and
- 4:50Speaker 8: you dwell on it until you have this woe is
- 4:53Speaker 8: me attitude. Stop looking at it like that, y'all. You
- 4:57Speaker 8: go through things in order to become the person that
- 5:00Speaker 8: you are today. I tell you who you sometimes have
- 5:03Speaker 8: to sit down and talk to. Sometimes you ought to
- 5:05Speaker 8: sit down to an inmate that really gets it. An
- 5:09Speaker 8: inmate that says, man, I've actually heard inmates say it
- 5:13Speaker 8: to me and write to me, and they've said things like, man,
- 5:17Speaker 8: come into.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Prison, save my life. Now, those of you have never
- 5:20Speaker 1: got how can he say a thing like that?
- 5:22Speaker 8: But some men, No, Man, I was so far out
- 5:26Speaker 8: there that if I'd have stayed out there, I wouldn't
- 5:28Speaker 8: even be here today. This actually allowed me to stop
- 5:31Speaker 8: to spend some time with myself and learn some things
- 5:34Speaker 8: about me. Now does that happen for everybody like that?
- 5:37Speaker 8: And no, But here's a person who has taking an
- 5:40Speaker 8: experience that could be considered a failure or negative and
- 5:43Speaker 8: turn it into a positive and using it to enrich
- 5:46Speaker 8: their lives. You can do it no matter what your
- 5:49Speaker 8: set of circumstances is. I recommend to everybody that you
- 5:52Speaker 8: try changing your outlook in order to change your outcome.
- 5:57Speaker 8: Everything that happens to you that's negative or you can
- 6:00Speaker 8: set of failure their experiences. You've got to go through
- 6:02Speaker 8: these things in order to have the knowledge that you
- 6:05Speaker 8: have today. So I wish that I had come to
- 6:08Speaker 8: this arrival that I'm in now, this place of peace
- 6:11Speaker 8: and joy, But then guess what I will not know
- 6:14Speaker 8: what I know. I couldnot share some of the things
- 6:17Speaker 8: that I'm able to share if I had not gone
- 6:20Speaker 8: through some of them. And sometimes that's the purpose of them.
- 6:23Speaker 8: It's to teach you a lesson because you know, God
- 6:25Speaker 8: has a plan for you, He really really does, and
- 6:28Speaker 8: eventually he can use you no matter how old you are,
- 6:32Speaker 8: and he can use you no matter how young you are.
- 6:35Speaker 8: If you just say, okay, I'm ready to hear your plan.
- 6:38Speaker 8: I've tried mine, mine ain't worked out. What's your plan
- 6:41Speaker 8: for me?
- 6:42Speaker 6: God?
- 6:42Speaker 1: What do you want me to do?
- 6:44Speaker 8: That's why I say every day, Steve already got radio show, y'all. Couse, Man,
- 6:48Speaker 8: I ain't see it coming. I didn't see that coming.
- 6:51Speaker 8: I ain't see this book coming.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I ain't.
- 6:53Speaker 8: I ain't seen half of the amazing things that are
- 6:56Speaker 8: happened to me. I didn't plan them. I was sitting there,
- 6:59Speaker 8: man and asking God for some direction. And then I
- 7:03Speaker 8: got smart enough to stay watchful, be a hard worker.
- 7:06Speaker 8: Now because faithful, our works is there and it came.
- 7:09Speaker 8: And I'll remind you of this. God has given all
- 7:12Speaker 8: of you a gift. Every last one of you listening
- 7:15Speaker 8: has a gift. God has never created a soul that
- 7:18Speaker 8: he did not provide.
- 7:19Speaker 1: A gift to.
- 7:20Speaker 8: God gives everyone a gift, and a gift is not
- 7:24Speaker 8: just singing, rapping entertainment. The richer gifts are much more
- 7:29Speaker 8: than that. Teachers are gifted people who really have the
- 7:32Speaker 8: gift of sharing information. That's a gift, you know, and
- 7:37Speaker 8: in that you can become great. You know, a lot
- 7:43Speaker 8: of people think that successful and greatness is the same thing.
- 7:47Speaker 8: Cornell West said it at my daughter's graduation. He was
- 7:50Speaker 8: a spokesperson. He said something so pointed. He said, don't
- 7:53Speaker 8: ever confuse success with greatness. The two have nothing to
- 7:58Speaker 8: do with each other. People determine success about money and
- 8:02Speaker 8: fame and all this here, but greatness. Greatness ain't got
- 8:05Speaker 8: nothing to do with your money. It ain't got nothing
- 8:08Speaker 8: to do with your fame. It's how you conduct your life.
- 8:11Speaker 8: It's how meaningful and significant you become in your community,
- 8:15Speaker 8: at your church, on your job, to the cub Scout
- 8:19Speaker 8: unit that you run, to the little girl's lives, that
- 8:21Speaker 8: you change, that that little center in the hood where
- 8:24Speaker 8: you just one place of hope to so many people
- 8:28Speaker 8: and they come back. And I used the example of
- 8:30Speaker 8: Lou Danzler who passed away in La who had the
- 8:33Speaker 8: Boys and Girls Challenges Club out in La. And he
- 8:36Speaker 8: wasn't a rich man at all, and if you walk
- 8:38Speaker 8: by him, you wouldn't even know who he was. But
- 8:40Speaker 8: if you look at all the people who have gone
- 8:42Speaker 8: on to become politicians, who have gone on to become CEOs,
- 8:47Speaker 8: who have gone on to become athletes, that have passed
- 8:49Speaker 8: through this man's small building in the hood in La,
- 8:54Speaker 8: he was great.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Trust me. Man.
- 8:57Speaker 8: Prayer changes things, I said all the time. But when
- 8:59Speaker 8: you see people will become successful or great, that somebody
- 9:02Speaker 8: praying somewhere may not even be them.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Maybe it's they. Mama.
- 9:06Speaker 8: You know, I think of Tiger Woods and all the
- 9:08Speaker 8: greatness he's accomplished. You know, they always talk about his.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Father and all this.
- 9:12Speaker 8: Here somebody somewhere praying for Tiger Woods. I got cash
- 9:16Speaker 8: money riding on that Tiger Woods. Mama is a praying
- 9:20Speaker 8: woman or something. My mother was. She prayed me into
- 9:23Speaker 8: this place because she used to call me all the time.
- 9:25Speaker 8: Praying for your boy. And prayer changes things. It really does.
- 9:29Speaker 8: Try it today. It can change you. It has changed
- 9:33Speaker 8: millions of people. Open up yourself to the greatness that's
- 9:36Speaker 8: in you, because God is giving you a gift matter
- 9:39Speaker 8: fact that you ain't using it. Who fought you think
- 9:42Speaker 8: that is? I'm just telling you you got one, and
- 9:45Speaker 8: if you start praying about it, it'll manifest itself and
- 9:49Speaker 8: you can become one of two things, successful or great
- 9:54Speaker 8: or both.
- 9:55Speaker 1: You can make the decision. Today you're listening.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Morning show.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I got news for everybody. He didne did it again.
- 10:07Speaker 8: You know what I'm talking about him? Almighty awesome, God
- 10:11Speaker 8: on time, God never too late. God had you waiting
- 10:15Speaker 8: sometimey will he gonna test your faith? You believe that,
- 10:20Speaker 8: But it's all in preparation for what you ask for.
- 10:22Speaker 8: Everything you're going through is God preparing you for what
- 10:25Speaker 8: you asked for. You gotta pass some tests to get it. Lord,
- 10:29Speaker 8: don't I know it? But guess what gave us another day?
- 10:32Speaker 1: A new day?
- 10:33Speaker 8: Only he could do it? He did it again. Thank
- 10:35Speaker 8: your heavening Father, Shelley Strawberry. Call it for real, Mississippi
- 10:39Speaker 8: Monica Junior and the legend that is nephew Tummy. Well yeah,
- 10:44Speaker 8: always interesting there, Yeah, dive off into your mind.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You your first for it?
- 10:50Speaker 9: Now I want for you this morning? Uh you know
- 10:53Speaker 9: just how you find out somebody really care about you? So, oh,
- 10:56Speaker 9: let me ask you something. So if I was taking
- 10:59Speaker 9: hostage and they said you gotta pay ten million to
- 11:04Speaker 9: get me back?
- 11:06Speaker 1: What you're gonna do?
- 11:08Speaker 10: Who?
- 11:08Speaker 6: You?
- 11:08Speaker 1: Who you talking to?
- 11:10Speaker 4: The only person that has ten million on this year?
- 11:12Speaker 6: You?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Why would they call me? Because?
- 11:14Speaker 8: Uncle?
- 11:15Speaker 6: You you?
- 11:16Speaker 1: Why wouldn't they you got ten million? Could you?
- 11:19Speaker 9: Could you give them ten million for me to come
- 11:21Speaker 9: back to Wait?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Wait, I'm not your wife? Why would they not call cuish?
- 11:28Speaker 2: Wait a minute?
- 11:29Speaker 11: Uncle?
- 11:29Speaker 8: He first called hot said. The first thing hostage person
- 11:33Speaker 8: need to call is family closest. Now Now, when they
- 11:38Speaker 8: call your wife, what does she say.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I'm not gonna even ask her. I probably ain't coming back.
- 11:43Speaker 1: But if it's you, If it's you, though, you ask
- 11:48Speaker 1: you something. He hears a phone call. Mister hoovey, I
- 11:52Speaker 1: have Junior. We need ten million or you will never
- 11:55Speaker 1: see him again. What do you say now? Huh?
- 11:58Speaker 10: Hello?

- 20:39Speaker 8: up at that school that I didn't tear you.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Hear this house? All right?
- 20:47Speaker 4: Coming up next, it is asked the clo or you're
- 20:50Speaker 4: listening Hardy Morning show. Coming up at the top of
- 20:54Speaker 4: the hour, we will be joined by the Chairman of
- 20:57Speaker 4: the Democratic National Convention to just us what's in store
- 21:00Speaker 4: for Black voters and this year's presidential election. It's important,

- 21:14Speaker 4: from Da Kwan in the Bronx. D Quan says, my
- 21:17Speaker 4: girlfriend broke up with me because I wasn't complimenting her,
- 21:21Speaker 4: but I complimented girls on Instagram. She doesn't know how
- 21:24Speaker 4: to separate reality from fantasy. I am with her, I
- 21:28Speaker 4: could never be with those other girls. Why is she tripping?
- 21:32Speaker 1: Bruh, bruh, stupid. She don't know how to separate fantasy
- 21:38Speaker 1: from reality.
- 21:39Speaker 4: That's what he said.
- 21:40Speaker 8: Well, bro, listen to me the message you're sending it
- 21:43Speaker 8: to your girl, that you got to understand is you
- 21:46Speaker 8: my reality and here's my fantasy. That's the message you said.
- 21:52Speaker 8: You don't understand the stupidity.
- 21:54Speaker 1: In that right there?
- 21:56Speaker 8: Wow, So now your reality. I ain't got no compliments
- 22:00Speaker 8: for you, Yeah, but my fantasy. You understand what I'm saying.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Bro.
- 22:06Speaker 8: Okay, First of all, let me just tell you what
- 22:08Speaker 8: I've learned. If she was doing the same thing you
- 22:12Speaker 8: doing and said the same thing to you, how would
- 22:15Speaker 8: you feel. I don't compliment you on these me and online.
- 22:19Speaker 8: They're my fantasy. Do you know how bruised your little
- 22:23Speaker 8: ego would be. That's all you need to know, bro,
- 22:26Speaker 8: Apologize to you girl. Man stop all that man quick
- 22:32Speaker 8: like button just like them and move on?
- 22:33Speaker 2: What is not.
- 22:40Speaker 1: You hitting that bubble? And all it right? All right now,
- 22:47Speaker 1: all right?
- 22:48Speaker 4: Moving on to Tara in Memphis. Tara says, I did
- 22:51Speaker 4: curbside pick up and saw my stepdad's truck at the restaurant.
- 22:55Speaker 4: It was on my side of town, which is strange.
- 22:58Speaker 4: I texted my mom and told her, and she said,
- 23:02Speaker 4: unless I saw him having sex, don't tell her. Why
- 23:07Speaker 4: did she snap at me? What did I do wrong?
- 23:10Speaker 8: Why did you call and tell your mama because she
- 23:13Speaker 8: a grown woman. And see you up in here starting semester,
- 23:17Speaker 8: it might not be no mess. You got a fire
- 23:19Speaker 8: going in her. Stay in your house, y'all. Stop starting
- 23:23Speaker 8: fires in other people out, Mama. Daddy truck over here?
- 23:25Speaker 8: The restaurant your daddy eat, don't he?
- 23:28Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 23:29Speaker 8: And it's on the other side of town. What he
- 23:32Speaker 8: can only eat at a certain areas. The truck was
- 23:37Speaker 8: at a restaurant.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Damn.
- 23:40Speaker 8: If you didn't see your daddy in there, your daddy
- 23:42Speaker 8: could have been that one of his partners.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Your daddy could have just stopped to have a moment
- 23:47Speaker 1: to itself.
- 23:47Speaker 4: You don't know what it was, But don't you love her?
- 23:50Speaker 10: Mom?
- 23:50Speaker 4: Though you see him, don't call.
- 23:58Speaker 1: She had heard this before then your phone?
- 24:06Speaker 5: All right?
- 24:09Speaker 4: Business her?
- 24:10Speaker 1: All right?
- 24:11Speaker 4: Raynelle in Oakland says, my husband and I were introduced
- 24:16Speaker 4: by our adult children. My son dated his daughter for
- 24:20Speaker 4: five years. They broke up and can't stand each other.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Now they didn't even come to our wedding. How do
- 24:27Speaker 4: we get them to accept our union and get along?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Well, they're not finish. Get along.
- 24:33Speaker 8: That ain't what's gonna happen. And they introduced y'all, Now,
- 24:36Speaker 8: how do they accept the union. You ain't got to
- 24:40Speaker 8: see that blended family thing. Man, You and the wife
- 24:42Speaker 8: had to make a decision that if y'all all right,
- 24:44Speaker 8: y'all right, don't let these ignorant ask decisions. Don't let
- 24:47Speaker 8: the ignorant ask kids and yours make a decision about
- 24:50Speaker 8: they can't even stay together. Now they talking to you
- 24:51Speaker 8: about your relationships. I don't even don't even worry about that.
- 24:56Speaker 8: What's your tripp about them kids? Poses they're not finish
- 24:58Speaker 8: like each other? Because you don't know what they did
- 25:00Speaker 8: to break up? They together five years? Let them go. Now,
- 25:03Speaker 8: how they ain't accepting your union? And they introduced y'all
- 25:07Speaker 8: that's you know, I guess y'all we broke up. Y'all
- 25:10Speaker 8: need to break up. That's ignis why you're listening to
- 25:12Speaker 8: somebody like that?
- 25:15Speaker 6: Is that mad?
- 25:16Speaker 4: You can't even go to the wedding? Wow?
- 25:21Speaker 8: You know, you know, because they didn't want to see
- 25:23Speaker 8: each other that your mother getting married. Sit on the
- 25:29Speaker 8: other side, Sit on they side. You know, they got switch,
- 25:32Speaker 8: they got the size they went. Just sit over there.
- 25:36Speaker 8: One of y'all sit to the far right and the
- 25:38Speaker 8: other one sit to the far left. Have a pew
- 25:40Speaker 8: full of people between.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Y'all all right, Moving on last one, Steve tremmell Uh.
- 25:49Speaker 4: She says, I'm in a relationship with a much younger
- 25:52Speaker 4: man and we met when he was playing semi pro ball.
- 25:56Speaker 4: That's done now, and he's being tight with his money.
- 26:00Speaker 4: I like dating and hanging out with him. But am
- 26:02Speaker 4: I supposed to pay for our dates till he finds employment?
- 26:07Speaker 8: No, he but he tight with the money. Hell, he
- 26:10Speaker 8: was tight with the money when he was playing semi
- 26:12Speaker 8: pro am.
- 26:13Speaker 1: I he words.
- 26:16Speaker 8: That was that that ain't that's already tight. Now he
- 26:20Speaker 8: ain't got that brow on a budget.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Man.
- 26:23Speaker 8: Now he could be a really good dude. But but
- 26:25Speaker 8: you ain't got to pay for the dates. Y'all need
- 26:27Speaker 8: to stay home. Y'all need to get at the house,
- 26:30Speaker 8: barbecue in the backyard, go on grass cutting dates. Y'all
- 26:34Speaker 8: got to find something to go out there. You gotta
- 26:38Speaker 8: get when you ain't got no money. You got to
- 26:39Speaker 8: go out there and watch squirrels and you know you
- 26:42Speaker 8: gotta do stuff like that. They go down here and
- 26:43Speaker 8: walk by the lake. You know, y'all got the walks
- 26:46Speaker 8: and y'all gotta go buy on the riding. Yeah, y'all
- 26:49Speaker 8: got to do stuff like that. Y'all ain't got no money,
- 26:52Speaker 8: you know, y'all need to go. Y'all go to mall
- 26:54Speaker 8: windows shopping. Go down there, you know, go to the
- 26:57Speaker 8: grocery store and walk around and eat the little stuff
- 27:00Speaker 8: with the two picks in it at the end of
- 27:02Speaker 8: you got.
- 27:02Speaker 4: Oh like costco.

- 27:15Speaker 1: a Blockbuster.
- 27:16Speaker 4: Somewhere, Blockbuster Netflix that.
- 27:20Speaker 8: Ain't gonna happen. Well, you know, but it takes a
- 27:23Speaker 8: lot of time. No, by the time you we'll go
- 27:25Speaker 8: back to the house tied time.
- 27:27Speaker 4: To go to because I'm looking for a bloodbuster.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I thought one? Did that have one you've seen?
- 27:33Speaker 6: You know?
- 27:37Speaker 8: You know, go down to the flowing the store, you know,
- 27:39Speaker 8: and decide what pack of peanuts y'all gonna buy.
- 27:42Speaker 1: There's a lot of little stuff you could do, you know.
- 27:44Speaker 4: Wow, what about like when holidays and stuff come up,
- 27:47Speaker 4: like Valentine's Day just came up.
- 27:49Speaker 8: Then what are they supposed to do Valentine's Day, y'all
- 27:51Speaker 8: celebrate Valentine's Day to day after when the candy had price.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:57Speaker 8: Then them cars y'all, y'all don't do downtime. They on
- 28:00Speaker 8: the fourteen, y'all do it on fifteenth.
- 28:02Speaker 4: Oh, okay, all that care.
- 28:04Speaker 1: They don't sell them cars everything and that damn they
- 28:06Speaker 1: get them calls the way.
- 28:09Speaker 8: You got to do all this here? You know how
- 28:11Speaker 8: I know all this because I waited. I waited till
- 28:15Speaker 8: the day after. I'd have a big excuse like I
- 28:17Speaker 8: was in the cocks, and then on yes, and then
- 28:20Speaker 8: I show up in next day with all all kind
- 28:22Speaker 8: of cats, four dollars, have prid boxes, bother hell of
- 28:30Speaker 8: a young boy. Boy, I knew how to do it all.
- 28:32Speaker 8: That's why I got these answers. They just roll off
- 28:34Speaker 8: my head and I've done all this. Man, The fifteenth
- 28:38Speaker 8: is way better than the fourteenth.
- 28:41Speaker 4: Wow, when her birthday's coming up, you can't change that day.
- 28:44Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 28:45Speaker 2: Then?
- 28:46Speaker 1: Oh, we're just gonna come up with you know, real birthday?
- 28:48Speaker 8: Today is especially pick a day like you have, Like
- 28:52Speaker 8: if it's a Wednesday, Wednesday, probably squirrel watching Wednesday.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Thursday walks coming up next, we talk about this year's
- 29:01Speaker 4: presidential election and what's in store for black voters. You
- 29:04Speaker 4: don't want to miss it. Right after this, you're listening
- 29:08Speaker 4: Harvey Morning.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Show, everybody.
- 29:12Speaker 8: We got a special guest this morning who formerly served
- 29:17Speaker 8: as the first black chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party. Well,
- 29:21Speaker 8: he's currently the chair of the Democratic National Convention better
- 29:25Speaker 8: known as the DNC. We had him on the show
- 29:29Speaker 8: doing the last presidential election back in twenty twenty. He's
- 29:32Speaker 8: joining us again this morning, everybody, to put a spotlight
- 29:37Speaker 8: on the accomplishments of the Biden administration and to give
- 29:41Speaker 8: us an overview of what's in store for black voters
- 29:44Speaker 8: in this year's election.
- 29:45Speaker 1: So we gonna get to it.
- 29:46Speaker 8: Please, welcome to the show, everybody, Mister Jamie Harrison, Harrison,
- 29:52Speaker 8: excuse me, welcome.
- 29:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 5: I am doing I'm doing well. I hope everybody's good.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Homeboy JS Andy Brown's.
- 30:01Speaker 13: Doing all right.
- 30:03Speaker 8: Yeah, he doing all right. He ain't doing much or nothing.
- 30:05Speaker 8: He over there, quiet, he off right now. I don't
- 30:09Speaker 8: worry about it. We can heal Sigma. So we let
- 30:11Speaker 8: him off a lot. Hey man, sir, let me get
- 30:18Speaker 8: right to this because I think this election is important man,
- 30:21Speaker 8: I know, people are they all over the place with
- 30:24Speaker 8: this election.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Man, we got to get.
- 30:26Speaker 8: Everybody galvanized and headed in the right direction. So let's
- 30:30Speaker 8: highlight some of the stuff the President Biden and vice
- 30:32Speaker 8: President has have delivered for black Americas.
- 30:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 5: See, well, you know, first and foremost, it is making
- 30:39Speaker 5: sure that we got a seat at the table. This president,
- 30:41Speaker 5: Joe Biden, is the first president to put a black
- 30:44Speaker 5: woman on the Supreme Court, the first president to appoint
- 30:48Speaker 5: a black woman to be his vice president. That's the
- 30:50Speaker 5: very first thing that yes, and then when you think
- 30:54Speaker 5: about the judge's lifetime appointment, in the two hundred and
- 30:59Speaker 5: forty eighth year old history of this country, only ninety
- 31:02Speaker 5: eight black women have ever been on the court. In
- 31:06Speaker 5: Joe biden three years, he has put thirty five black
- 31:10Speaker 5: women on the court. Out of the one hundred and
- 31:12Speaker 5: seventy judges that he's appointed, sixty of them have been black. Now,
- 31:16Speaker 5: y'all know we only represent twelve or thirteen percent of
- 31:18Speaker 5: the population. That's thirty five percent of his judges have
- 31:21Speaker 5: been black. Lifetime appointments. Brothers and sisters in their forties
- 31:24Speaker 5: and in their fifties, they're gonna be there for a
- 31:26Speaker 5: long time, and so we are there. He's the first
- 31:30Speaker 5: president that change the presidential primary process. You all know
- 31:35Speaker 5: for them all of my life. I'm forty eight, just
- 31:38Speaker 5: turned forty eight. I wouldn't answer to have kicked this
- 31:40Speaker 5: thing off. Well, Joe Biden came in and said, you
- 31:43Speaker 5: know what, We're gonna change this up. Instead of having
- 31:45Speaker 5: black folks at the back of the bus, we're gonna
- 31:47Speaker 5: move them to the front of the bus. And then
- 31:49Speaker 5: he put South Carolina first. So the progeny of those
- 31:53Speaker 5: folks who picked Cotton are now picking president and then
- 31:55Speaker 5: the first ones to do that. So we're changing the conversation. Now,
- 32:00Speaker 5: that's just on the politics side. When we think of
- 32:03Speaker 5: the legislative substance, we all can start from when he
- 32:08Speaker 5: inherited this thing, whether he came in a half, the
- 32:11Speaker 5: American Rescue Plan, put shots in people's arms, put money
- 32:14Speaker 5: back in people's pockets. Everybody remembers that three hundred dollars
- 32:17Speaker 5: extra every month we had for our young people, which
- 32:21Speaker 5: cut childhood pobbery in the black community by ass We
- 32:24Speaker 5: remember that under Donald Trump, when the PPP loans went out,
- 32:28Speaker 5: they went to the Lakers instead of to the black
- 32:30Speaker 5: barbers and the black beauty salons. What was Joe Biden
- 32:34Speaker 5: and the progressial Black Caucus that made sure that black
- 32:36Speaker 5: businesses could stay open and so that PPP money started
- 32:40Speaker 5: flowing into our community. We have seen the small of
- 32:44Speaker 5: the biggest boom and black businesses created over the last
- 32:48Speaker 5: three or thirty years. We've seen the lowest unemployment rate
- 32:51Speaker 5: in the Black community ever in the history of this country.
- 32:55Speaker 5: We know student loans that for those of us who
- 32:57Speaker 5: had student loans, there has been no present that I
- 33:00Speaker 5: don't care who they were, Democrat, a Republican ever touched
- 33:03Speaker 5: the issue student loans until Joe Biden. One hundred and
- 33:06Speaker 5: thirty seven million dollars for almost four million people, and
- 33:10Speaker 5: every two months another seventy five thousand new people get
- 33:13Speaker 5: some student loan debt release. That's because of Joe Biden.
- 33:16Speaker 5: The reduced costs for influent in this country. We talked
- 33:20Speaker 5: about how influence you know in the black community, either
- 33:23Speaker 5: you're diabetic, you're pre diabetic, or you know somebody would
- 33:26Speaker 5: diabetes and everybody's paying, you know, hundreds of dollars a
- 33:30Speaker 5: month for insulin costs. Well, now that's thirty five dollars
- 33:34Speaker 5: a month. That only happened because eighty one million of
- 33:37Speaker 5: US went to the polls, voted for somebody, and passed
- 33:39Speaker 5: legislation to get it done. That's because of Joe Biden.
- 33:42Speaker 5: So even when Republicans stood in the way, they stood
- 33:45Speaker 5: in the way on student loans, they stood in the
- 33:47Speaker 5: way of George Floyd, Justice and policeman, Joe Biden has
- 33:50Speaker 5: tried to use his executive authority in order to make
- 33:53Speaker 5: change to improve the quality of life of people in
- 33:56Speaker 5: our community, Ripping up lead types, putting in broadbandged are
- 34:00Speaker 5: rural communities, rebuilding the roads and bridges that have been
- 34:03Speaker 5: falling apart for decades. Donald Trump talked about a infrastructure
- 34:07Speaker 5: week every week and never feel the damn probable. But
- 34:10Speaker 5: Joe Biden has done in his first year. Both just
- 34:14Speaker 5: understand that you got a president who actually wakes up
- 34:17Speaker 5: every single day thinking about how can I make this
- 34:19Speaker 5: country better for all of America's people, not just the
- 34:22Speaker 5: rich donors who've give me contributions, for all of America's people.
- 34:26Speaker 5: And that's who Joe Biden is. He's a good man,
- 34:28Speaker 5: he's a decent man. He and Kamala Harris make an
- 34:31Speaker 5: amazing team. I've seen them first, and I mean Kex
- 34:35Speaker 5: I would not be the chair of the DNC, the
- 34:37Speaker 5: second black man, the third black person to hold his role,
- 34:40Speaker 5: but for Joe Biden. And so it's just important for
- 34:44Speaker 5: folks to step back and understand that this election is
- 34:48Speaker 5: going to be about hope versus fear. It's about progress
- 34:51Speaker 5: versus chaos. We see the chaos from the Republicans, we
- 34:55Speaker 5: see the chaos from Donald Trump. We know that it
- 34:57Speaker 5: is only a campaign of retribution. Donald Some's only agenda,
- 35:01Speaker 5: it's to pay people back for the things that he
- 35:03Speaker 5: believes that they've done to him. Joe Biden's mission isn't
- 35:07Speaker 5: about himself. It's about the American people, and particularly the
- 35:11Speaker 5: black folks who've helped him get into this position. And
- 35:15Speaker 5: he's shown not through his words, but through his actions
- 35:18Speaker 5: that he sees us, that he values us and that
- 35:21Speaker 5: he's fighting for us. And I believe he needs to
- 35:24Speaker 5: get the opportunity to finish the job.
- 35:26Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, sir, when we come back, we're going
- 35:29Speaker 8: to talk about that because I want to cover a
- 35:31Speaker 8: couple of things, and how do we better get this
- 35:34Speaker 8: message out of the accomplishments of this administration.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Because we're battling it the wrong way.
- 35:40Speaker 8: We are letting these Republicans pimp us with information that's
- 35:44Speaker 8: totally irrelevant to what's relevant to us. And we got
- 35:47Speaker 8: to do a better job of getting this information out there.
- 35:49Speaker 8: We're gonna talk about that when we come back more.
- 35:51Speaker 8: I'm Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 35:53Speaker 4: You're listening Morning Show?
- 35:56Speaker 1: All right, everybody, We're back.
- 35:58Speaker 8: We only got a short break, but I'm gonna give
- 35:59Speaker 8: it this guys, really informedive.
- 36:01Speaker 1: We've got the uh uh uh uh.
- 36:02Speaker 8: We've got the first black chair of the South Carolina
- 36:05Speaker 8: Democratic Party, the former one.
- 36:08Speaker 1: But he's now the chair of the d n C,
- 36:10Speaker 1: and we've got him on the phone.
- 36:11Speaker 8: And today I have learned a plethora of information that
- 36:15Speaker 8: I did not know, and I just want to talk
- 36:18Speaker 8: to you about that, mister Harrison. How do we get
- 36:22Speaker 8: this message that you so eloquently put forth in the
- 36:26Speaker 8: first break? How do we do a better job of
- 36:28Speaker 8: getting this information out because.
- 36:30Speaker 5: It's not it's not no, it's see you're right, And
- 36:34Speaker 5: you know, my big frustration is that, you know, you
- 36:37Speaker 5: go to the media and I try to get on
- 36:38Speaker 5: TV interviews, but they don't want me. They want they
- 36:41Speaker 5: want some folks on there who who can talk about
- 36:44Speaker 5: some mess and then when you get on, they want
- 36:47Speaker 5: to talk about what kind of shoes Joe Biden is wearing.
- 36:50Speaker 5: You know, you want to talk about his age and
- 36:53Speaker 5: this and this and that. You know, there's something that
- 36:55Speaker 5: Jim Clarvern told me very early on as a young staff.
- 36:58Speaker 5: He said, Jamie, I know we need to get young
- 37:01Speaker 5: people involved, but let me ask you a question. Would
- 37:03Speaker 5: you rather an old thirds and marshall our young clans Thomas?
- 37:07Speaker 5: He said, Jamie, In the end, it is not about
- 37:10Speaker 5: your age, It's about your values. It's about what you
- 37:12Speaker 5: will fight for, who you will fight for, and what
- 37:15Speaker 5: you are motivated by. That's what we know. In terms
- 37:18Speaker 5: of Joe Biden. We know what he's fighting for, we
- 37:21Speaker 5: know who he's motivated by. We know who he will
- 37:23Speaker 5: do things for because we've seen us and so we
- 37:27Speaker 5: are the biggest mouthpieces.
- 37:29Speaker 6: Yo.
- 37:29Speaker 5: It gets great for me to be on TV, but
- 37:31Speaker 5: you know who has more credibility than me. Is your mama,
- 37:35Speaker 5: your daddy, your uncle, your aunt, right, it is the
- 37:39Speaker 5: people in our circles. We can influence them, So it's
- 37:42Speaker 5: important for us. I'm going to make sure that you
- 37:44Speaker 5: all have all the information. You're gonna get so much
- 37:47Speaker 5: mail and email and text messages and all the things
- 37:50Speaker 5: about all the things that the president has done. But
- 37:54Speaker 5: I need all of you to make sure that you
- 37:56Speaker 5: are sharing that message. When you get student law relief.
- 37:59Speaker 5: I've heard people got hundreds of thousands of dollars of
- 38:02Speaker 5: student loan. Rely make sure you're telling your friends that,
- 38:04Speaker 5: make sure you're telling your family members that, and make
- 38:06Speaker 5: sure that they know it is because of Joe Biden
- 38:09Speaker 5: that now your financial life is changing. Because of that,
- 38:13Speaker 5: you know, Donald Trump's not gonna give you any student
- 38:15Speaker 5: on release. Actually, the Republicans want to take back the
- 38:18Speaker 5: relief that people have gotten. So we've got to understand
- 38:21Speaker 5: where we are and understand that the power is not
- 38:24Speaker 5: in somebody else. It's not in the president and all
- 38:27Speaker 5: that the power is in us. The reason why Joe
- 38:29Speaker 5: Biden's been able to do that is because eighty one
- 38:32Speaker 5: million of us never in the history of this country
- 38:34Speaker 5: have eighty one million going to the post the vote
- 38:36Speaker 5: for a president and vice president, but we did that
- 38:38Speaker 5: in twenty twenty votes. And if you want to see
- 38:40Speaker 5: more change, if you want more to happen, then take
- 38:43Speaker 5: your power don't give it away. Don't just say well,
- 38:46Speaker 5: I'm gonna stay at home or this and that and
- 38:47Speaker 5: sit on my couch. This ain't about couch. You've got
- 38:50Speaker 5: to be just as relentless as the Republicans aren't to
- 38:53Speaker 5: take away your freedom. You got to be as relentless
- 38:55Speaker 5: to protect your freedom.
- 38:57Speaker 8: Next time, we're going to talk about the dangers. Mister
- 39:01Speaker 8: Jamie Harrison, Thank you so much for joining us.
- 39:03Speaker 5: Thank you everybody. Y'all take care of you.
- 39:09Speaker 1: We'll be back with more Steve hard Moore Show right

- 53:52Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 53:55Speaker 4: Thank you. A few subject he had nine missed calls
- 53:59Speaker 4: from his co worker. Dear Stephen Shirley. My husband and
- 54:03Speaker 4: I have been together for eight years and married for
- 54:05Speaker 4: three years. In the beginning, I told him that I
- 54:08Speaker 4: had a problem with all of his female friends. He
- 54:11Speaker 4: said he would cut them off all off for me.
- 54:14Speaker 4: He's a hairstylist in barber and his best lady friend,
- 54:18Speaker 4: as he calls her, is in the same salon with him.
- 54:22Speaker 4: My husband and I are thirty nine years old and
- 54:24Speaker 4: his best lady friend, Tammy is thirty. I've always wondered
- 54:28Speaker 4: how he and Tammy's friendship has lasted for six years.
- 54:32Speaker 4: I told him, as his wife, I should be his
- 54:35Speaker 4: best lady friend, but he is stuck on stupid.
- 54:38Speaker 1: He said.
- 54:38Speaker 4: Tammy is an airhead and he is like a big
- 54:41Speaker 4: brother to her. Since I've known her, she has never
- 54:44Speaker 4: been in a relationship, so I think my husband is
- 54:47Speaker 4: fulfilling that role. When I go to the salon, Tammy
- 54:51Speaker 4: isn't there, and my husband said, it's always a coincidence. Hm.
- 54:57Speaker 4: I did pop up one day and another barber announced, wow,
- 55:01Speaker 4: look who showed up, y'all, and my husband came from
- 55:05Speaker 4: the back. My husband thinks I'm making up stories in
- 55:08Speaker 4: my head, but something isn't right. The other night, I
- 55:12Speaker 4: was in the shower and my husband was on the
- 55:14Speaker 4: treadmill with his headphones on. It was almost midnight, and
- 55:18Speaker 4: I could hear his phone vibrating from the top dresser
- 55:22Speaker 4: drawer when I got his phone. When I got to
- 55:24Speaker 4: his phone, Tammy had called him nine times back to back.
- 55:29Speaker 4: I didn't check her text message because I did not
- 55:32Speaker 4: want to start World War three. He had no explanation
- 55:35Speaker 4: for why she called nine times, and he didn't call
- 55:38Speaker 4: her back. The salon wasn't on fire, and if it was,
- 55:42Speaker 4: she should have called the fire department, not my husband.
- 55:45Speaker 4: Should I go pay Timmy a visit at the salon
- 55:47Speaker 4: and see what's up? No, you don't have to do that.
- 55:51Speaker 4: I mean, you know there's something going on. I mean
- 55:53Speaker 4: you feel it in your gut. Too much, strange stuff
- 55:57Speaker 4: is happening. You feel it, like when she knows you're
- 56:02Speaker 4: coming to the salon, she's coincidentally out of the salon.
- 56:05Speaker 4: She's calling your man multiple times late at night, and
- 56:08Speaker 4: you're right, he should not be calling her his best
- 56:11Speaker 4: lady friend, that esteemed honor should go to you and
- 56:14Speaker 4: only you, his wife. Yes, she's wrong for calling him
- 56:17Speaker 4: nine times. Come on, what could be that important that
- 56:20Speaker 4: she's got to call another woman's husband nine times back
- 56:23Speaker 4: to back. He's wrong for trying to gaslight you, saying
- 56:26Speaker 4: you're making up stories in your head. But you still
- 56:29Speaker 4: don't need to pay her a visit. You're not married
- 56:32Speaker 4: to her. You need to take it up with your husband.
- 56:35Speaker 4: Of course, he will continue to deny that anything's going on.
- 56:38Speaker 4: And you did talk to him about all of his
- 56:40Speaker 4: female friends before the marriage, and he said he would
- 56:43Speaker 4: cut them off, all of them for you. But somehow
- 56:46Speaker 4: this last one has been lingering for six years. What's
- 56:50Speaker 4: so special about her? That's what you need to find out.
- 56:53Speaker 4: Your instincts are telling you there's something there, and you
- 56:57Speaker 4: never know something could be there, So try to find out.
- 57:00Speaker 4: If you can talk to your husband, Steve, I see
- 57:03Speaker 4: you holding your.
- 57:04Speaker 8: Forehead yesterday add a question for me. They said, Steve,
- 57:12Speaker 8: why doing this strawberry letter? Are you always defending these men?
- 57:19Speaker 8: And I told the lady at family feud it is
- 57:24Speaker 8: because Shirley is hell bent every damn time on ending
- 57:31Speaker 8: a damn marriage. I don't tell what the circle I
- 57:35Speaker 8: told him, and I'm saying it on that l All
- 57:39Speaker 8: I'm trying to do is offer a balance of someone
- 57:43Speaker 8: to think about it. Look, we all know when something
- 57:46Speaker 8: sounds shaky, we all know when something sounds wrong. I
- 57:51Speaker 8: am the first person to tell the woman that God
- 57:54Speaker 8: gave women intuition.
- 57:56Speaker 1: You should use it.
- 57:58Speaker 8: I've said it a hundred times mm hmm. But damn
- 58:03Speaker 8: surely writes these men off every schan Now, I'm gonna
- 58:10Speaker 8: be honest with you on this.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Letter right here.
- 58:13Speaker 8: I will tell you when it's shaky, and I will
- 58:16Speaker 8: tell you when there's a possibility. Okay, you're dating a man,
- 58:20Speaker 8: y'all been married three years. You told him you had
- 58:22Speaker 8: a problem with his female friends. He said he cut
- 58:24Speaker 8: him all off. Now he's a half stylist and barber.
- 58:29Speaker 8: Oh oh, oh oh red flag. Half stylist and a barber.
- 58:35Speaker 8: These are pronouns. Half stylists is a pronoun and barber
- 58:41Speaker 8: is a pronoun. Half stylist and barber two different pronouns.
- 58:46Speaker 6: You know that.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you decide what you want to do with this.
- 58:51Speaker 8: I'm just putting out some information his best lady friend
- 58:55Speaker 8: that he called this the same salaon my husband now
- 58:57Speaker 8: thirty nine.
- 58:58Speaker 1: His best lady friend, Tammy's thirty.
- 59:01Speaker 8: She found I've always wondered how he and Tammy's friendship
- 59:05Speaker 8: has lasted for six years. I told him, as his wife,
- 59:08Speaker 8: I should be his best lady Fred and I agree
- 59:11Speaker 8: with you one hundred percent. But you say he's stuck
- 59:14Speaker 8: on stupid, Well, then if you gonna let him keep
- 59:17Speaker 8: calling her the best lady free, he ain't the only
- 59:18Speaker 8: one stuck on stupid. You stupid too. Okay, let's just
- 59:22Speaker 8: call it like it is. He said, Tammy is an
- 59:26Speaker 8: airhead and he's like a big brother to her. That
- 59:29Speaker 8: could possibly be true. Tammy could be an adhead. Lord, Lord, Lord,
- 59:37Speaker 8: I have seen some fine. Yeah, fine, yes, I'm talking
- 59:44Speaker 8: about dumb as a doknob. Yes, large, God, almighty.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Fine.
- 59:53Speaker 8: And since I've known her, she's never been in a relationship.
- 59:56Speaker 8: So I think my husband is fulfilling that role. Now,
- 59:59Speaker 8: it's fine, Vanessa, Ah, it ain't been in the relationship
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: in six years.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Thank your husband and filling that role that has possibilities.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: Just hang on for a second. Part two of Steve's
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: response is coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: Today's Strawberry letter, subject he had nine miss calls from
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: his coworker. We'll talk about that, get into that right
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: is he had nine miss calls from his coworker.
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: Well, here I am, and as I promised you in
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: this letter, I try to offer some counter for Shirley's answer,
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: because she is in the kill it business. Surely every
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: man come along in these strawberry letters. She got the roll,
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: she got that sawed out, and she letting them have it.
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: I'm gonna call her up as a shameman, as she's
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: the executioner, and I try to offer a balance. But
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: I will tell you when there's a possibility this moment.
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: Had been married three years. Her husband had a lot
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: of lady friends, and he said he cut them all
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: off of her, except but he kept this one little Tammy.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: She thirty, they thirty nine. Tammy fine. I think he
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: didn't say it in the letter, but she fine.
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: But Tam is an airhead and she's wondered how Tammy's
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: friendship has lasted as long. And she told him, as
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: his wife, I should be your best lady friend. And
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: you're right about that, you should. But he's stuck on stupid.
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: He keep calling her that, and you stupid too. For
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: a lot, I done told y'all. I'm told y'all about
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: these friends. I told you about these opposite sex best friends.
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: I done told y'all that they gonna always create a problem,
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: and here we go again.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I don't see how y'all don't see this? All right?
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: He said, Tam is an airhead and he's like a
- 1:01:55Speaker 8: big brother to her. She probably is an airhead.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Lord, come on him top that.
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: How many fine air hiss have I seen in my lifetime?
- 1:02:06Speaker 8: Got lord herr? You ever seen a woman find in?
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: She hoped my morthles start talking? You go damn all
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: right there? Yeh, dumb as a donog. Anyway, since I've
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: known her, she's never been in a relationship. So I
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: think my husband is fulfilling that role now that has
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: possibilities of finding a head that ain't been in a
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: relationship in six years. Somebody got to push up on
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: her somebody somehow. But you think it's your husband, Well
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: let's find out. Uh let me see where did I
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: stop at? And so I think my husband's filling that role.
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: When I go to the salon, Tammy isn't there. And
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: my husband said, it's always a coincidence. Well do you
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: always tell him you coming? And then if they got
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: a relationship, why she got to leave? They've obviously hid
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: it for six years us. So while she got to
- 1:03:03Speaker 8: leave the salade, she can go over there and do
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: somebody's head or something, you know, I mean hair hair,
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: It sound better.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: She's probably doing somebody's hair over there. Anyway.
- 1:03:19Speaker 8: I did pop up one day and another barber. Now, wow,
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: look who showed up y'all and my husband came from
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: the back.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: That's a that's a good move.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Look go showed up y'all louder and then your husband
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: came out to back. Hey, I don't know what was going.
- 1:03:40Speaker 8: My husband thinks I'm making up stories in my head,
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: but something isn't right. The other night, I was in
- 1:03:47Speaker 8: the shower and my husband was on the treadmill with
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: his headphones on. I was all it was almost midnight,
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: and I could hear his phone vibrating from the top
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: dresser truck. When I got to his phone, Tammy had
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: called him nine times, back.
- 1:04:06Speaker 11: To back to back, back to back, back, back back back.
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: I didn't check her text message because I didn't want
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: to start World War three.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Well, at call of Farrell's house. It was in World
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: War three that e oh, easily it would be.
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: United Nations or blow up. It had been on it's
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: been hell up in here? Now me, I would have
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: had an answer for them nine calls. He had no
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: explanation of why she called nine times, and he didn't
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: call her back. Excellent move, did not call her back.
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: I'm thinking butt dial, I'm gonna go with butt die.
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: It happened all the time, butt dial back to back?
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Who do that?
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Baby?
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: Probably butt down? The salon wasn't on fire. If it was,
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: she'd have called the fire department, not my husband. Should
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: I go pay Tammy a visit at the salon? See
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: what's up? Let me ask you something. Either you want
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: to start World War three or you don't. But really, you, lady,
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: you're not You're not handling this the right way too.
- 1:05:26Speaker 8: The only thing I agree with Sureley and this whole
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: response was what you going up there?
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Talk to tamm before you scared that?
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: You don't want to check your husband's messages because you
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: don't want to start?
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: What you scared of? Who you scared of? Tammy didn't
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: say no viows to you.
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: He did.
- 1:05:44Speaker 8: Now listen to me. Women always want to ask this question,
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: why do men cheat? Now you want to answer because
- 1:05:52Speaker 8: there are so many women out there willing to cheat
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: with them that's the real answer.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: We couldn't do it.
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: We didn't have so many willing participants because it's short
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: at your women.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Men know that as more women on this world than
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: it is me and the one.
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: So now you got a decision you got to make with.
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: All I need to know is when is World War
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: three start? Because it don't have to pop off away
- 1:06:26Speaker 8: and have peace. Sometimes you gotta.
- 1:06:28Speaker 13: Have a war.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: On Today's Strawberry Letter on Instagram at Steve Harvey FM

- 1:06:44Speaker 4: is time now for Junior and Sports Talk. What you
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: got Junior?
- 1:06:48Speaker 9: Well, you know, surely the backlash has already started from
- 1:06:50Speaker 9: the NBA All Star weekend.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: They did not like the game on Sunday. Oh my god,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: to eleven and weighty six.
- 1:06:59Speaker 9: They sit next you to gonna try to make it
- 1:07:00Speaker 9: more competitive, But I don't know how they gonna do
- 1:07:02Speaker 9: that because it's the players. They playing two eleven twenty six,
- 1:07:06Speaker 9: highest scoring All Star game ever.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Well, the players, they ain't doing nothing. What could we
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: do to make it a more competitive game.
- 1:07:15Speaker 8: How we players have to play DP You have to look, man,
- 1:07:19Speaker 8: it used to be a cold game to watch man
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: East against the West.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: It was competitive. They was trying to win. Now, man,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: it was just not. But it's up to the players.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: You know, they make they make millions of dollars and
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: fans want to see the greatest pickup game on Earth.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: And that's not what they're seeing.
- 1:07:37Speaker 10: The kickball or something, you know, something different, just kickball, kickball,
- 1:07:42Speaker 10: coin hole.
- 1:07:43Speaker 8: Just do something different, man, for real. I mean that's
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: what they're gonna do. They might as well because you
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: see what didn't happen to the Pro Bowl In football?

- 1:07:55Speaker 1: You know, you just be going whatever.
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: They had a long drive test, a long drive test

- 1:08:02Speaker 8: football player hit the GoF ball. It's crazy.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: If they're not going to play the game, then don't
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: play the game. You know.
- 1:08:16Speaker 8: The baseball players they have All Star game, you know,
- 1:08:19Speaker 8: but don't you don't play the game. You know, I'm
- 1:08:21Speaker 8: not understanding that they don't want to get hurt hurt,
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: but they played. They play that hard in summer leagues
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: and games when they playing at the at the pickup.
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: I just it's just a horrible thing to watch. Man,
- 1:08:33Speaker 8: I didn't watch it because I've been watching this the years.
- 1:08:36Speaker 8: Take this turn, Kobe said before he passed. They got
- 1:08:39Speaker 8: to changes.
- 1:08:40Speaker 9: Yeah, you don't want to waste your Saturday and Sunday
- 1:08:44Speaker 9: watching this type of stuff.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: You don't want.
- 1:08:45Speaker 9: Football, flag football, flag football. The best bill people on
- 1:08:51Speaker 9: the earth is playing flag football.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: But the dunk contest.
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: I mean, all these cats, but all these dunks, they
- 1:08:57Speaker 8: be trying to do all this hollering after they don't
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: get into dunk contest.
- 1:09:01Speaker 6: Mm hm.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: You know Jaylen Brown, he put the glove on the
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: left hand dunk. What was that pro He's like a
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Michael Jackson throwback?
- 1:09:10Speaker 6: What was I.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: With his left hand?
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: That ain't wait wait, so y'all, so the players that
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: decide to.
- 1:09:19Speaker 11: Get into dunk contest, you know, like the way he

- 1:09:26Speaker 1: He showed up. You got to give him credit for that, man. Yeah, yeah, okay, So.
- 1:09:33Speaker 8: I can go down now, throw that ball up, gets
- 1:09:35Speaker 8: that backboard, so damn hard.
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: Well, let's get competitive, all right, we hear you guys
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: coming up at the top of the hour, A husband
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: needs some advice Steve on dealing with his closed minded
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: wife who won't go vote. We'll talk about that right
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: after this. You're listening hard Morning show.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: All right, Steve.
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: This is from ant Pensacola and says, my wife is
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: a registered voter and US citizen, but she's from another country.
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: She laughs at our government in the US and said
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: we shouldn't be taken seriously. After Trump was allowed to
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: be president, she won't vote, and she says she doesn't
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: care who wins, but then she complains about how bad
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: her pay is. She supervises cafeteria workers and most of
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: them said they aren't voting in November. I have told
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: her that she is in a leadership role and she
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: needs to encourage her team to vote. We argue about
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: this all the time. If her mindset doesn't change, I
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: can't see our marriage lasting. How do I convince a
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: small minded person to think big and do better?
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: Wow?
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Man, they're going to break it all Wow the food Wow. Wow.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: That's something is.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Yeah, this is a deal break with you. So this
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: is a big question.
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: I don't want to misguide you anything, but you just
- 1:11:00Speaker 8: got to sit down and just say hey, look, you
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: got to do it without argument.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Got to sit down and say, hey, listen, this is
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: really important to me.
- 1:11:07Speaker 8: I need your help. I know how you feel about
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: it and everything, and I got how you are. What
- 1:11:13Speaker 8: would you just help me out? I want I want
- 1:11:17Speaker 8: you to vote go with me. I want you to
- 1:11:20Speaker 8: help help me. But I also would like for you
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: to just encourage your workers and show some type of
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: leadership role and just talk to a real calm like that.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: Bro.
- 1:11:28Speaker 8: You gotta do that. But but don't let this in
- 1:11:31Speaker 8: your marriage. You know, she wanted to be a citizen
- 1:11:36Speaker 8: just so she could escape wherever she was from. And
- 1:11:40Speaker 8: you know, but you come over here to enjoy the benefits,
- 1:11:42Speaker 8: and yeah, this country is kind of a hypocritical nation.
- 1:11:48Speaker 8: So you can come over here and enjoy the benefits
- 1:11:51Speaker 8: that you want to, but you also got to deal
- 1:11:52Speaker 8: with what we are and what we try to prevent
- 1:11:57Speaker 8: ourselves from being. Donald try I'm on presidency. Man, it's
- 1:12:01Speaker 8: gonna be rough for black people. And black people don't
- 1:12:03Speaker 8: know because all this man wants to get elected for
- 1:12:06Speaker 8: is one reason for himself.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: He gonna fix it for his little rich buddies, But.
- 1:12:11Speaker 8: He really just trying to stay out of jail, and
- 1:12:14Speaker 8: he's used every thing imaginer to stay out of jail.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: He done lied about the election being rigged. He done
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: lied about this.
- 1:12:24Speaker 8: He endo a lot of trouble, but you can't convict
- 1:12:27Speaker 8: the sitting president and he's gotten the entire Republican Party behind,
- 1:12:33Speaker 8: and we just got to stop this so he can.
- 1:12:35Speaker 8: At least I will vote, just so he can just
- 1:12:37Speaker 8: go and see what's supposed to happen to him. Because
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: I already know what he is for us. It's just
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: not I don't know how you think he is. I
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: don't know how you think he good for black people.
- 1:12:48Speaker 8: I don't know how y'all think. I don't know how
- 1:12:50Speaker 8: you think he good. Well, I know how I think. Look,
- 1:12:53Speaker 8: the Republics are don't vote for him because they just
- 1:12:55Speaker 8: like him. And it's amazing thing, man, that there's so
- 1:12:59Speaker 8: many walking a month sus that love this man and
- 1:13:02Speaker 8: feel that he's right.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: So what you got, Tomas, We need to.
- 1:13:05Speaker 10: Go in this cafeteria and talk to these people that
- 1:13:07Speaker 10: are talking about that they're not gonna vote.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: That's what we need to be talking. Yeah, his wife
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: down across the country what she wants to ridicule.
- 1:13:15Speaker 11: And then you don't want to be a part of
- 1:13:16Speaker 11: the solution and the process to help make the change.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: But you want that's stupid. You don't like your pay
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: mm hmm.
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: Yeah, but you want to change that.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Yeah, that ain't the real problem I see in this
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: whole thing. It's the food. He can't bring them Caffeterian
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: potatoes back home every day. You can't do that. You
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: can't make this in here. He tired of eating. Na's
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: got down to vote, and he really want to go up.
- 1:13:42Speaker 14: All right, Look, Jathy, okay, all right, all right, so
- 1:13:51Speaker 14: are you gonna try and help aunt?
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: Talk to his wife.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: I'm just told him what he had to do, had
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: to do it calm.
- 1:13:56Speaker 8: He had to go in there and sit down and
- 1:13:58Speaker 8: explain to the how important it is if you love me,
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: I need you, I need your support, you know.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: But you got it. You got to get these people
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: out to the polls to vote. Man.
- 1:14:07Speaker 8: Yeah, y'all, I'm telling y'all, we're gonna mess around and
- 1:14:11Speaker 8: be sleep at the wheel. Look, nobody feels like this again,
- 1:14:15Speaker 8: but we got to do our duty, our job. It's
- 1:14:17Speaker 8: too many people died for us. They had to write
- 1:14:19Speaker 8: the vote for us to sit up in here man
- 1:14:21Speaker 8: and not and not exercise our duty. We got an obligation, man,
- 1:14:26Speaker 8: to our children and grandchildren. We got our We got
- 1:14:28Speaker 8: an obligation to our ancestors. Stop this damn foolishness.
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: All right, all right, coming up in twenty minutes after

- 1:19:53Speaker 4: of the day, guys, and it is time for Steve
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: to take us home with some closing remarks.
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: You know what we have.
- 1:20:00Speaker 8: I had the chairman of the DNC on today, mister
- 1:20:05Speaker 8: Jamie Harrison, and he was talking about the election and
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: the importance of US voting, and he really pointed out
- 1:20:13Speaker 8: a lot of attributes of the Biden administration that I
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: didn't even know. I mean, the obvious one, of course,
- 1:20:20Speaker 8: was the first black woman appointed to the Supreme Court,
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: I knew that, but when you stack it up, he's
- 1:20:26Speaker 8: also bought the first black woman vice president of the
- 1:20:31Speaker 8: United States, the first black woman to become a Supreme Court.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Justice in three years.
- 1:20:41Speaker 8: In three years, he has appointed thirty five black women.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: As judges nationwide.
- 1:20:52Speaker 8: Of all of the judges he has appointed, thirty five
- 1:20:56Speaker 8: percent of them have been African Americans.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Thirty five percent of all the judges.
- 1:21:04Speaker 8: Do you understand the importance of having judges who look
- 1:21:07Speaker 8: like us, who would be simply a little bit more
- 1:21:11Speaker 8: fairer when hearing these cases from making these ruling That's
- 1:21:15Speaker 8: a major contribution that this man has made to us. Now, listen,
- 1:21:21Speaker 8: I know y'all sick of this election mess already because
- 1:21:24Speaker 8: it was just four years ago. But we are up
- 1:21:27Speaker 8: against the y'all, and they are going to play on
- 1:21:30Speaker 8: our fatigue and they are going to play with our
- 1:21:33Speaker 8: disillusionment in government.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: But it ain't cause of the Biden administration.
- 1:21:40Speaker 8: While y'all sitting up here trying to point out what
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: they ain't done, have you ever thought about what they
- 1:21:44Speaker 8: have done? Have you ever thought that black wealth is
- 1:21:49Speaker 8: up sixty percent? It's the largest increase for Black Americans
- 1:21:53Speaker 8: on record today did you know that that's under.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: The Biden administration.
- 1:21:58Speaker 8: Remember when Trump was running in he was talking about
- 1:22:00Speaker 8: all this infrastructure stuff. He was gonna do air porch, planes, trains.
- 1:22:04Speaker 8: He did not pass a one single thing, not a one.
- 1:22:10Speaker 8: Black small businesses are booming. Black business ownerships have more
- 1:22:15Speaker 8: than double since the pandemic. That's under the Biden administration.
- 1:22:20Speaker 8: So while y'all talking about what they ain't, have y'all
- 1:22:23Speaker 8: taken notice of what they are.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: See.
- 1:22:26Speaker 8: Man, y'all need to quit looking at social media for
- 1:22:28Speaker 8: your news and start going and find out some of
- 1:22:30Speaker 8: these facts. Get off TikTok and YouTube and ig Biden
- 1:22:36Speaker 8: falling on the bike, Biden old Trump, old two. Trump's
- 1:22:41Speaker 8: ass is old too, and he's immoral. Biden don't have
- 1:22:47Speaker 8: to pay off no holes. Biden ain't paying off strippers
- 1:22:53Speaker 8: and porno stars. Biden ain't in tax trouble. Bien ain't
- 1:22:58Speaker 8: lied to the banks over three hundred and eighty million
- 1:23:00Speaker 8: dollars in fraudulent loans. Biden ain't done none of this.
- 1:23:05Speaker 8: But y'all go sit up here and let this man
- 1:23:07Speaker 8: get back in the office again because you think he cool.
- 1:23:09Speaker 8: Donald Trump ain't cool. Donald Trump is for Donald Trump.
- 1:23:14Speaker 8: Y'all make me sick with this mess. Man. So since
- 1:23:18Speaker 8: we always talking about, let me point out something else
- 1:23:22Speaker 8: to you. Do you know that under the Biden administration
- 1:23:26Speaker 8: that he has taken action to address student loan debt
- 1:23:29Speaker 8: and has forgiven over one hundred and thirty six billion
- 1:23:33Speaker 8: in debt relief that's under his administration. Do you know
- 1:23:37Speaker 8: that that Trump administration trying.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: To take that back? Do you understand are y'all gonna
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: sit up here?
- 1:23:46Speaker 13: Man?
- 1:23:48Speaker 8: Do you understand that black people have enrolled in the
- 1:23:51Speaker 8: healthcare fifty percent more from twenty twenty to twenty twenty
- 1:23:55Speaker 8: two that started with Obamacare, the Healthcare Act, the one
- 1:24:02Speaker 8: that they said they was gonna repeal and replace Obamacare.
- 1:24:05Speaker 8: Do you know how many y'all wouldn't have insurance today? Man,
- 1:24:08Speaker 8: y'all need to wake up. Stop this here. Now, let
- 1:24:11Speaker 8: me get to this point right here. They are trying
- 1:24:16Speaker 8: to remove.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: Us and take us out of history books.
- 1:24:20Speaker 8: See, white folks don't want you talking about slavery because
- 1:24:23Speaker 8: it reminds them of how foul and evil their forefathers
- 1:24:27Speaker 8: are and how they continue to practice some of those
- 1:24:29Speaker 8: same practices. But now we have to remember a part
- 1:24:34Speaker 8: of our history too. How many of us died for
- 1:24:37Speaker 8: us to have the right to vote. Now those of
- 1:24:40Speaker 8: us are sitting about, sitting out here, talking about staying home.
- 1:24:45Speaker 8: So now you're gonna help them erase our history. Have
- 1:24:48Speaker 8: you not forgotten how many of us died so we
- 1:24:51Speaker 8: could vote. Now you're gonna stay your ass at home
- 1:24:54Speaker 8: and ignore the sacrifices of our ancestors and what our
- 1:24:58Speaker 8: ancestors had to do.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Ay home and vote. Why because you tied? Why because it?
- 1:25:05Speaker 8: And God on your naves, Because you don't believe in
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: politics no more.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: This is the system we got, man. I'll tell you
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: what they believe in politics.
- 1:25:15Speaker 8: They believe in politics so much that because they are
- 1:25:19Speaker 8: the Republican Party, they gonna vote for their party line.
- 1:25:23Speaker 8: And they don't give a damn that the person they're
- 1:25:25Speaker 8: putting in office is immrally corrupt, that he'd done broke
- 1:25:29Speaker 8: the law, that he's been found guilty, that he'd almost
- 1:25:33Speaker 8: ruined these black girls' lives down here, him and the
- 1:25:38Speaker 8: talking about they were part of this fraudulent behavior and
- 1:25:42Speaker 8: almost ruined this black family down here, had to pay
- 1:25:45Speaker 8: that system and her mama all that money, and they
- 1:25:47Speaker 8: still suffering y'all act like y'all don't remember, man, what
- 1:25:52Speaker 8: history is, but keep on because they know what history is.
- 1:25:56Speaker 8: That's why they want to take us out to history books.
- 1:25:58Speaker 8: But now you're gonna help them by not voting. So
- 1:26:02Speaker 8: we're gonna ignore the fact that people of our ancestors
- 1:26:04Speaker 8: who gave up their lives so we could vote.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: Y'all, I know you're tired of it.
- 1:26:10Speaker 8: I know you're sick of it, but we got to
- 1:26:12Speaker 8: get to the polls again, and we got to stop
- 1:26:15Speaker 8: this foolishness because we're bigger than that.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: We won the election last time and we can do
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: it again.
- 1:26:21Speaker 8: Politics ain't perfect, but somebody on that poll should not
- 1:26:26Speaker 8: be president. Hey, I think you know who it is.
- 1:26:29Speaker 8: Those are my closal remarks.
