- 1:59Speaker 1: at it? Uh huh, I show it off a good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:08Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:14Speaker 1: radio show man doing something with it too. You know
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna quit say I'm trying. My wife told me
- 2:21Speaker 1: the other day. She said, Steve, stop saying you try,
- 2:23Speaker 1: And she said, you're doing this son. She told it
- 2:25Speaker 1: to be just like that. Now here's the deal today.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I got a good one for you because I was
- 2:34Speaker 1: thinking of my own life, which I use oftentimes in
- 2:37Speaker 1: my messaging, because I think that God has given me
- 2:42Speaker 1: the trials and tribulations that He has set for me
- 2:45Speaker 1: so that when I start running my mouth and talking.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I have a clear cut understanding of what I'm talking about.
- 2:55Speaker 1: So here it is. This is what I want you
- 2:58Speaker 1: to do with your life, and this is what I
- 3:01Speaker 1: want you to start to considering about your life today.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And this is for all of us. Get a mission,
- 3:12Speaker 1: Get a mission, man, get a purpose, get a higher calling.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Be about it? What's this all for? What you're waking
- 3:32Speaker 1: up in the morning? For Get at it today one
- 3:39Speaker 1: more time? Get a mission, get a purpose in your life,
- 3:46Speaker 1: find that higher calling of why you're here, Be about it?
- 3:52Speaker 1: What's it all for? Get at it today? Now, Steve,
- 3:58Speaker 1: you're making some some some some big statements here. Uh yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 1: but oh you know I'm gonna clean it up for you,
- 4:04Speaker 1: don't you because you know I don't just throw it
- 4:06Speaker 1: out there without the without the how to part. See,
- 4:09Speaker 1: the how to part is usually where most people stop.
- 4:13Speaker 1: They tell you, this is what you gotta do, is
- 4:14Speaker 1: what you gotta do, is what you gotta do. Then
- 4:16Speaker 1: they don't tell you how to. That's why I don't.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I don't get off the boat right there now. If
- 4:24Speaker 1: you're trying to figure out if you're trying to get
- 4:27Speaker 1: your life a mission, and you're trying to figure out
- 4:29Speaker 1: the purpose and what the higher calling is it. And
- 4:32Speaker 1: you want to be about something and you're trying to
- 4:34Speaker 1: figure out what's it all for and you want to
- 4:37Speaker 1: go get at it today. Here's the trick. God knows.
- 4:44Speaker 1: God knows the answer to all those questions. He knows
- 4:50Speaker 1: what your mission in life is. He already know what
- 4:53Speaker 1: your purpose is. He already know what the higher calling is.
- 4:56Speaker 1: He already know what you got to be about. He
- 4:59Speaker 1: al I didn't know what it's all for. He already
- 5:02Speaker 1: know what you need to go get at. God knows
- 5:05Speaker 1: you know why. He knows because He created you. And
- 5:10Speaker 1: God created all of us with the purpose in mind,
- 5:14Speaker 1: irregardless as to how we were created, we were all
- 5:17Speaker 1: created with the purpose in mind. He got a mission
- 5:21Speaker 1: for us, He got something he wants from us, He
- 5:24Speaker 1: got something he expects of us. He has a life
- 5:28Speaker 1: of abundance prepared for each and every one of us
- 5:32Speaker 1: that will lay claim to it. Now, if you don't
- 5:35Speaker 1: want that, then go on and start making decisions on
- 5:38Speaker 1: your own, possibly like you have now. Let me ask
- 5:41Speaker 1: you something. Since you've been making all the decisions on
- 5:44Speaker 1: your own, where you at, well you're at with it?
- 5:47Speaker 1: How you feel about it every day? How locked in
- 5:51Speaker 1: on your mission are you? What? Are you on a
- 5:53Speaker 1: good purpose plan? You know? Do you feel like your
- 5:56Speaker 1: life is in a higher call it? Do you know
- 5:59Speaker 1: what you are about? Do you have an understanding of
- 6:02Speaker 1: what it's all for? Are you up every day going
- 6:06Speaker 1: and getting at it? See? Come on now, So now
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm asking you if you've done this without talking to
- 6:15Speaker 1: God or without checking in with your creator? Can you
- 6:19Speaker 1: answer all those questions? I can flat out tell you
- 6:22Speaker 1: you can't. I know for a fact you can't because
- 6:27Speaker 1: you can't know how good your life can be. And
- 6:32Speaker 1: you won't have a life as good as you wanted
- 6:35Speaker 1: to be until you have connected with the one that
- 6:38Speaker 1: created you. You bet you better understand this one now.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Please understand this ain't Steve just over here rant and raven.
- 6:46Speaker 1: This is Steve after having years of figuring this one out.
- 6:51Speaker 1: But it's it's all in the Bible. It's all in
- 6:55Speaker 1: holy writings. But you know I ain't got time for that.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Don't go church like I'm post to. Don't read the
- 7:03Speaker 1: Bible or or scrolls or the Koran or whatever your
- 7:08Speaker 1: faith is. You don't read all that it's in there, though,
- 7:13Speaker 1: it's in there. But we're humans, so we we go
- 7:18Speaker 1: get at it the way we see it. Let me
- 7:21Speaker 1: tell you what happened to me. See, while I was
- 7:25Speaker 1: getting at it the way I saw it ought to
- 7:27Speaker 1: be got at. You understand me. When I was defining
- 7:31Speaker 1: my purpose, when I was creating my own mission, who
- 7:35Speaker 1: when I was laying claim to what my calling is
- 7:39Speaker 1: in life? Let me tell you what I was doing.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I was deferring. I was deferring the abundance that He
- 7:47Speaker 1: really had for me. I'm just now listen to me.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I'm just now getting at it for real. Oh, I've
- 7:55Speaker 1: been working towards it all my life. I didn't know
- 7:58Speaker 1: it though, But see, because God is so merciful and
- 8:01Speaker 1: so full of grace, he allowed me to make all
- 8:04Speaker 1: the mistakes I made. And then and then when I
- 8:07Speaker 1: finally came to him, he said, all right, now I'm
- 8:10Speaker 1: gonna take all of me is to tell you how
- 8:11Speaker 1: cold I am. Now this this God, Now I'm gonna
- 8:14Speaker 1: tell you how cold God is. He takes all the
- 8:18Speaker 1: mistakes you made, all the failures you made while you
- 8:22Speaker 1: was making your own decisions. He takes all of that
- 8:26Speaker 1: and uses them as valuable gained and learned experiences, and
- 8:31Speaker 1: he takes that and allows you to be who you
- 8:33Speaker 1: are today. See God, God ain't gonna let you forget
- 8:37Speaker 1: what you did. But here's something cold too. He ain't
- 8:41Speaker 1: gonna let what you did go for not Oh what's
- 8:46Speaker 1: your safety? See that's what's cold. See all the mistakes
- 8:51Speaker 1: I made, every lie I told, every traumatic experience I
- 8:58Speaker 1: went through, I put anybody through any time. Man, I
- 9:04Speaker 1: was out there tripping trying to justify this right, he said,
- 9:08Speaker 1: all right, okay, but now, because of my mercy and
- 9:14Speaker 1: my grace, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna allow
- 9:18Speaker 1: all this to happen. You're gonna waste a lot of time.
- 9:21Speaker 1: You're gonna forfeit a life of abundance that you could
- 9:24Speaker 1: have been in head. But I'll tell you what i'm
- 9:26Speaker 1: gonna do. I'm gonna take all of that and I'm
- 9:29Speaker 1: gonna turn it into some good. So I'm gonna let
- 9:31Speaker 1: all of these lessons that you've learned, all of these hardships,
- 9:35Speaker 1: all of these moments are despabed, come back and you'll
- 9:39Speaker 1: use them and you'll wear them on your head like
- 9:41Speaker 1: a crown. You're gonna it's gonna be jewels in your head. Man,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna take all of that stuff and make you knowledgeable.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna take all that stuff and make you wise. Man.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna take all of that stuff and I'm gonna
- 9:56Speaker 1: put it in your mission. I'm gonna take all that
- 9:58Speaker 1: stuff and make that a part of your purpose. I'm
- 10:01Speaker 1: gonna take all that stuff and create that to be
- 10:04Speaker 1: a part of your higher calling. I'm gonna take all
- 10:07Speaker 1: that and let you be about that right there. I'm
- 10:09Speaker 1: gonna take all of that and i'm gonna let you
- 10:12Speaker 1: find out what it has all been for. I'm gonna
- 10:15Speaker 1: take all of that, and with all of that mess
- 10:17Speaker 1: you've made of your life, I'm gonna let you not
- 10:20Speaker 1: take all that and go get at it. See, but
- 10:23Speaker 1: that only happens when you come to God. Because God
- 10:27Speaker 1: is the only one that knows what you've been through
- 10:30Speaker 1: and how to take what you've been through and turn
- 10:32Speaker 1: it into something to help you get through what you're
- 10:35Speaker 1: going through. Hey, the only one can do that. Ain't
- 10:38Speaker 1: nobody else like him. There's nothing like him on this
- 10:41Speaker 1: world available to you. Man, So quit tripping yourself out,
- 10:45Speaker 1: get over there and talk to God. Man, Quit waste
- 10:48Speaker 1: in your life like I was doing. Stop. I'm telling
- 10:50Speaker 1: you He'll let you get at it and can't nobody
- 10:53Speaker 1: let you get at it like him. All right, let's right.

- 36:08Speaker 1: in the car windows stuff on. Clark was not pointing
- 36:10Speaker 1: any gun at them. He was merely holding a cell phone.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Police never identify themselves as officers. His grandmother understandably upset. Murderers, murderers, murderers.
- 36:22Speaker 1: You guys killed them baby for nothing. You took him
- 36:25Speaker 1: away from his kids for nothing. He didn't Black Lives

- 37:20Speaker 1: I just love those little ferry babies. Will be back
- 37:22Speaker 1: with more entertainment in today's trending topics. Twenty minutes after
- 37:26Speaker 1: the hour on Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 37:29Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Show. All Right, Steve here we go again. Uh,
- 37:33Speaker 1: this is so sad and another killing of an unarmed
- 37:36Speaker 1: black men. Sacramento police officers shot and killed twenty two
- 37:40Speaker 1: year old Stefan Clark, who was in his grandmother's backyard
- 37:45Speaker 1: because they believed he was pointing a gun at them.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Sakita Thompson, Clark's grandmother, said it was common for Clark
- 37:53Speaker 1: and other guests to enter their home through the backyard
- 37:56Speaker 1: due to their faulty doorbell and the fact that she
- 37:58Speaker 1: and her husband have poor mobility. The police were reportedly
- 38:02Speaker 1: responding to a call that someone was breaking car windows
- 38:05Speaker 1: in the area and described the suspect as a six
- 38:09Speaker 1: ft one man wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and dark
- 38:12Speaker 1: pants hiding in a backyard. The police claimed Clark had
- 38:17Speaker 1: an object extended in front of him as he approached
- 38:20Speaker 1: two officers. Fearing for their safety, they shot Clark multiple times.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Some reports are saying Clark was shot twenty times twenty times,
- 38:33Speaker 1: and the cops waited five minutes before performing CPR. Now,
- 38:37Speaker 1: according to reports, the cops even switched their story up,
- 38:40Speaker 1: claiming that Clark had a gun, then said he had
- 38:43Speaker 1: a crowbar. Later, it was revealed the only item found
- 38:47Speaker 1: near Clark's body was a cell phone. Revernel Sharpton his
- 38:52Speaker 1: pledge to support for Clark's family and said he would
- 38:55Speaker 1: be in California to help them fight for justice. According
- 38:57Speaker 1: to a statement from his organization, Stefan Clark is survived
- 39:01Speaker 1: by his two young sons. This is the saddest part.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Cairo and Aiden, both officers have been placed on paid
- 39:09Speaker 1: administrative leave. Always so sad. They shot him twenty times,
- 39:15Speaker 1: times times, always always father of two young sons, and
- 39:23Speaker 1: now the officers have been placed on yet again paid
- 39:26Speaker 1: administrative leave. Sad. I don't understand how they saying he
- 39:30Speaker 1: approached them with an object in his hand, but they
- 39:34Speaker 1: shot him in the grandmother's backyard. Did they get out
- 39:37Speaker 1: to car, the police car to go in the backyard
- 39:41Speaker 1: to look for someone who they had heard was in
- 39:44Speaker 1: the backyard? Do they have a copy of that nine
- 39:47Speaker 1: one one call calling in saying somebody's in the backyard
- 39:50Speaker 1: breaking in stuff? Did this? Did we have a description
- 39:55Speaker 1: that it's a black hood in the black and then
- 39:57Speaker 1: does this boy have on a black But why what's
- 40:02Speaker 1: the shooting for? Right the time? Right? You know, where
- 40:06Speaker 1: is the arrested? Well, what's going on to They had
- 40:11Speaker 1: the helicopters involved as well, so there was footage in
- 40:15Speaker 1: the air and they were looking for I guess this
- 40:18Speaker 1: particular suspect from what I'm reading from the Sacramental newspaper.
- 40:22Speaker 1: This is sad. Thank God for Reverend Al Sharpton in
- 40:24Speaker 1: times like these, you know, because he pledged to support,
- 40:27Speaker 1: like we said, for his family. And wow, we'll we'll
- 40:32Speaker 1: keep you posted on this story. Uh. Coming up at

- 46:28Speaker 1: you do you finish one one class at the orientation,
- 46:31Speaker 1: You've got three more to go with that, right, yes, alright, alright, alright.
- 46:36Speaker 1: So first of all, I want to say welcome to
- 46:38Speaker 1: Mount Sidini and and I hope you are enjoying yourself.
- 46:41Speaker 1: And I know that you and your wife for a
- 46:45Speaker 1: mixed couple. You your Carcasian and she's she's black. Are
- 46:49Speaker 1: you Are you liking the church so far? Grant? Absolutely,
- 46:53Speaker 1: we really are enjoying it. We completed our first orientation
- 46:57Speaker 1: and uh yeah, so far we really enjoy in it. Okay, Okay,
- 47:01Speaker 1: did I catch you a bad time? I don't work
- 47:04Speaker 1: right now, but it's okay. I've got a couple of
- 47:06Speaker 1: I've got a couple of minutes, Okay, Okay. I just
- 47:08Speaker 1: wanted to call you, man. I was worried I know
- 47:11Speaker 1: you because I don't think you noticed. But you are
- 47:13Speaker 1: the first Caucasian to join our church, and I just
- 47:18Speaker 1: want to make sure you kind of knew, uh the
- 47:21Speaker 1: language and and just just kind of knowing what the
- 47:24Speaker 1: black church is all about and there's certain fans and
- 47:27Speaker 1: different things I think you should know. So that uh
- 47:30Speaker 1: you know, I just don't want you to say the
- 47:33Speaker 1: wrong thing. Why you at the churches? That makes sense? Uh? Okay, okay,
- 47:38Speaker 1: So so what I wanted to do, like I wanted
- 47:40Speaker 1: to give you a little Black Church quiz so you
- 47:44Speaker 1: can kind of maybe if you could let me know
- 47:46Speaker 1: where you are. You know, if you want a lower
- 47:49Speaker 1: level or a high level. It's for being knowledgeable about
- 47:53Speaker 1: the Black church. Like still this blank in for me,
- 47:56Speaker 1: grant And if you don't matter, I just wanna take
- 47:58Speaker 1: a lit bit of time and I let you get
- 47:59Speaker 1: back to work. But first of all, and give a
- 48:03Speaker 1: blank to God? What what we're what we're going? That
- 48:07Speaker 1: blank right there? First of all, give a blank to God. Yea,
- 48:12Speaker 1: all I can think of to give give things to God?
- 48:15Speaker 1: Uh No, see that's wrong, See that's wrong. See to
- 48:19Speaker 1: see what it is is. First of all, give an
- 48:21Speaker 1: honor to alright. Remember, first of all, give an honor
- 48:24Speaker 1: to God. You got that, okay? Yes, yes, okay. First
- 48:28Speaker 1: of all, give an honor to God, who is the
- 48:31Speaker 1: blank of my life? What? What? What? What goes into blake?
- 48:36Speaker 1: First of all, give an honor to God, who is
- 48:38Speaker 1: the blak of my life, the love of my life. No, no, see,
- 48:44Speaker 1: that's that's that's that's wrong. First of all, give an
- 48:47Speaker 1: honor to God, who is the head of my life.
- 48:52Speaker 1: You sure, I'm sorry? Okay, I was just are you sure?
- 48:56Speaker 1: Are you sure about that? Oh? I'm definitely sure about man.
- 48:59Speaker 1: I don't don't don't. What I don't want you to
- 49:01Speaker 1: do is question what what I know. I'm from the
- 49:03Speaker 1: Black Church. I know. No, No, I wasn't. I wasn't
- 49:06Speaker 1: questioning you, sir. I wasn't question. I'm sorry. I've just
- 49:07Speaker 1: always heard it that way. But okay, So so I'm
- 49:11Speaker 1: trying to give you the understanding of wing what the
- 49:14Speaker 1: Black Church is about. You know what I'm saying, I understand.
- 49:16Speaker 1: I just I I appreciate it. I'm just apologize. Okay. No. Now, look,
- 49:23Speaker 1: I don't know these answers, obviously, but I've got a meeting.
- 49:25Speaker 1: I gotta get to here in a minute like like this.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I'm curious if everyone in the church gets these phone calls.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Well wait, waiting and waiting in a grand I know
- 49:31Speaker 1: you have a meeting, but what's more important? Your meeting
- 49:34Speaker 1: or knowing your position at the Black Church? What what
- 49:38Speaker 1: was more important? I really don't have time for this
- 49:41Speaker 1: right now. I can't believe it's actually happening. Like did
- 49:43Speaker 1: you did your pastor even know that you're calling you
- 49:45Speaker 1: right now? Well? No, I took the livery of myself
- 49:49Speaker 1: when I realized you with Caucasian that I would call
- 49:51Speaker 1: and try to help you so you would know what
- 49:54Speaker 1: to do when you're in the Black Church when people
- 49:56Speaker 1: are saying certain things you okay, okay, Grant, if you
- 50:00Speaker 1: don't mad, just do this fun the grant, like, do
- 50:03Speaker 1: you know what hooping is? Hooping? Like? Who the hooping? Uh? No,
- 50:09Speaker 1: hooping is when the pastor is at the end of
- 50:12Speaker 1: his sermon. So listen to this all good, God, don't
- 50:18Speaker 1: like there? Do that funny if you? If you will, Grant?
- 50:23Speaker 1: Oh lo oh God, oh n no, no, no, no
- 50:29Speaker 1: one more. Let's come on you will you women? Good?
- 50:35Speaker 1: Got out of the I can't believe I'm doing that.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Oh lo oh yeah, oh God almighty. Okay, hey, Grant,
- 50:50Speaker 1: do you think maybe it's possible that you can have
- 50:53Speaker 1: some tensions before you come back to the church and
- 50:57Speaker 1: I can prepare you more. Hey man, listen. You have
- 51:01Speaker 1: caught me in a really bad time and I'm quiet, honestly,
- 51:04Speaker 1: just so frustrated. Like I've never heard of a quiz
- 51:07Speaker 1: like this. I'm really offended and be honest to be like,
- 51:10Speaker 1: do you guys not want me to go here church anymore?
- 51:12Speaker 1: Like a matter of fact, dude, you should be calling
- 51:15Speaker 1: my wife right now. She's black, but if she should
- 51:18Speaker 1: already know the question, you're the one. Don't know why
- 51:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna call. I should call you. I want at
- 51:25Speaker 1: work right now. I have a meeting to get to
- 51:27Speaker 1: in just a minute. I don't know what you're doing.
- 51:29Speaker 1: And I hold on a second, I have got to
- 51:32Speaker 1: close my office store. This is so embarrassing. I have
- 51:35Speaker 1: never ever received a phone call like this in my
- 51:38Speaker 1: life and you better be lucky. I mean, I want
- 51:41Speaker 1: to talk to your pastor. I am going to talk
- 51:43Speaker 1: to him next Sunday. No joke. Why didn't mean for
- 51:46Speaker 1: you to get hot style like that? I mean you
- 51:49Speaker 1: to upset you and nothing like that? What can I
- 51:52Speaker 1: can I say something else? Do you one last thing?
- 51:55Speaker 1: And I have to go. Okay, I just wanted to
- 51:58Speaker 1: let you know this A nephew till me from the
- 52:01Speaker 1: Steve Harbit Morning Show. Your wife Caroline got me to
- 52:05Speaker 1: prank phone call. You shut up, shut up. I am
- 52:16Speaker 1: so sorry, I am so sorry. Are you good? You are?
- 52:22Speaker 1: I'm alright, man, I'm alright a little embarrassed, but I'm
- 52:25Speaker 1: all right. Gret you gotta do it for me one
- 52:28Speaker 1: more time? Oh tid of oh loh yeah, okay, man,
- 52:40Speaker 1: look and do this from me. Tell me what is
- 52:42Speaker 1: the baddest, I mean, the baddest radio show in the land,
- 52:47Speaker 1: The Steve Harvey Morning Show all the way. You know,
- 52:53Speaker 1: you just got to you know, white, if you're gonna
- 52:58Speaker 1: be going, if you're gonna join the church. You know
- 53:00Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Churches are not like that. You know
- 53:05Speaker 1: mine was it? You know, that's why you gotta feeling
- 53:08Speaker 1: having feeling the blank. You know, first of all, give
- 53:11Speaker 1: a blank to God. You know, you don't you don't know,
- 53:13Speaker 1: you don't know what go there, you don't know what say.
- 53:16Speaker 1: Take him through the queens like church que the Nephew Tonight.
- 53:22Speaker 1: It jumps off two shows tonight, It's Friday. I am
- 53:26Speaker 1: in Memphis, Tennessee. Chuckles Comedy Club. Two shows tomorrow, one
- 53:30Speaker 1: show on Sunday. The nephew is here, Bobby Q and
- 53:35Speaker 1: nephew come get your laugh phon tonight. All right, thank enough,
- 53:38Speaker 1: Coming up people, superstar Tony Braxton will be in our mints.
- 53:42Speaker 1: She will be our special guest. That's in one hour.
- 53:45Speaker 1: You do not want to miss it, all right, And
- 53:47Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, the Strawberry Letter.
- 53:49Speaker 1: You don't want to miss that. When you hear a
- 53:51Speaker 1: car a home insurance commercial on this show, it's only
- 53:54Speaker 1: gonna be for the folks that cover both of mine,
- 53:57Speaker 1: that State Farm, because we've been together for a whole
- 54:00Speaker 1: lot of years and I'm still a whole lot of
- 54:02Speaker 1: happy with how my agent tastes care of me. Maybe
- 54:05Speaker 1: you're thinking that that's just because I'm getting to Steve
- 54:07Speaker 1: Harvey treatment. Well, guess what State Farm's got over forty
- 54:10Speaker 1: four million happy customers, and they ain't all named Steve Harvey.
- 54:14Speaker 1: I bet they're just happy with how they stay. Farm
- 54:16Speaker 1: agents are here to help life go right. So car
- 54:18Speaker 1: eight hundred, stay farm and see for yourself. You're listening
- 54:21Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is time for
- 54:25Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter. But first, ladies and gentlemen, these two
- 54:28Speaker 1: old men these two papas. I think one senator said, uh,
- 54:33Speaker 1: they're the US is crazy. Uncle's President Trump and former
- 54:37Speaker 1: Vice President Joe Biden. They're at it again. President Trump
- 54:41Speaker 1: tweeted about Joe Biden. He says former Vice president Joe
- 54:44Speaker 1: Biden couldn't beat him up. Trump tweeted that it would
- 54:47Speaker 1: actually be crazy Joe Biden who would go down fast
- 54:50Speaker 1: and hard, crying all the way. This is the president
- 54:53Speaker 1: talking about the President. Biden said this week that if
- 54:58Speaker 1: he had been in high school with Trump and he
- 55:01Speaker 1: disrespected women, he would take him out behind the gym
- 55:04Speaker 1: and beat the heck out of him. Okay. Trump tweeted
- 55:06Speaker 1: that Biden is mentally and physically weak and trying to
- 55:09Speaker 1: act like a tough guy. He didn't. He added that
- 55:13Speaker 1: that Joe shouldn't threaten people. Don't threaten people, Joe, at
- 55:17Speaker 1: least Joe Biden said if they were in high school,
- 55:20Speaker 1: and President Trump is saying, now, well, I put all
- 55:24Speaker 1: my money on Biden. Yes, Trump has never been in
- 55:28Speaker 1: a fight ever. Joden been in some fights because yeah,
- 55:34Speaker 1: and then from scran A so he yeah, yeah, you're
- 55:39Speaker 1: gonna get in one, see that already, to take you
- 55:42Speaker 1: behind the gym. That's who talk. But I like why
- 55:49Speaker 1: he said it. If he said if he had disrespected
- 55:51Speaker 1: women when they were back in high school, speaking up
- 55:55Speaker 1: for women. But I like the fact that he's speaking
- 55:58Speaker 1: up for women. Yeah. Absolutely, And at my school, you
- 56:01Speaker 1: get your ass food for a lot less step on
- 56:05Speaker 1: the look at that step on me. But why do you,
- 56:09Speaker 1: as president have time for such non he has time
- 56:14Speaker 1: to counteract Joe Biden. He won't say nothing to putin
- 56:18Speaker 1: though he got time for rocket Man, he got time
- 56:22Speaker 1: for the lady over there in London. He cracked on
- 56:25Speaker 1: that time he talked about everybody's talking about whole nation.
- 56:30Speaker 1: He will not open his mouth about Russia. I got
- 56:33Speaker 1: news for y'all because there's some chicks in Russia. Huh, chicks.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Every time you say that it comes to pass. Okay
- 56:44Speaker 1: to listen to me, listen to women in Russia, to
- 56:52Speaker 1: national plash, and ain't nothing wrong with that. It's just
- 56:57Speaker 1: what y'all got. And that's what he did. No, I
- 57:00Speaker 1: don't think he should not be president because of his
- 57:02Speaker 1: past relationships with women. Not. But if you've done vile
- 57:07Speaker 1: things to them, yeah, Now, if you're in a consensual
- 57:11Speaker 1: relationship with a woman. Come on, let's let's stop this
- 57:14Speaker 1: right here. But now, if you've done something vile to
- 57:17Speaker 1: her and it come back, yeah, now you have a problem, buddy,
- 57:21Speaker 1: Now you have problem. But all the consensus if you're
- 57:23Speaker 1: in a consensual relationship with him, you know, I don't,
- 57:26Speaker 1: I ain't got I ain't got time for that. You
- 57:28Speaker 1: know your wife right, but the payoff business. Now shut up,
- 57:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna kill you if you talk. Not now we
- 57:37Speaker 1: got new that's different. That's different. But two people having
- 57:42Speaker 1: because it's not against the law to have an affair.
- 57:46Speaker 1: It's not against the law. It's morally corrupt. Absolutely, Steve,
- 57:52Speaker 1: you're right about that. But you can't can't you can't. No, no,
- 57:57Speaker 1: you can't. You can't do jail time for that. So
- 58:00Speaker 1: he can break a law. He broke a vow. Now
- 58:04Speaker 1: you can break the law and get a much lighter
- 58:06Speaker 1: sentence breaking vows. You you you pay for them in
- 58:10Speaker 1: other ways. Yeah, let the church and Steve say amen, man,
- 58:17Speaker 1: I hold on type we got it a strawberry letter
- 58:26Speaker 1: subject diabetic husband. He's like, he's yelling, not me. It's
- 58:37Speaker 1: not me alright, Dear Stephen Shirley, I have been with
- 58:43Speaker 1: my husband for almost sixteen years. We have three beautiful,
- 58:46Speaker 1: healthy children. After a second child was born, my husband
- 58:51Speaker 1: was diagnosed with type two diabetes. Right after he was diagnosed,
- 58:55Speaker 1: he was eating healthy, exercising, monitoring his blood sugar, and
- 59:00Speaker 1: taking care of himself. Now it all has pretty much
- 59:03Speaker 1: stopped because he does not take care of his health.
- 59:07Speaker 1: He experiences neuropathy which is severe, which is a nerve
- 59:12Speaker 1: pain and impotence. His neuropathy was so bad that he
- 59:17Speaker 1: was taking pain medication and almost overdosed on it. You
- 59:21Speaker 1: would think after that incident he would get his act
- 59:24Speaker 1: together and start managing his illness. Well, he still has not.
- 59:30Speaker 1: He doesn't want to exercise, and he no longer monitors
- 59:34Speaker 1: his blood sugar. Even his teeth are becoming a problem.
- 59:38Speaker 1: How can I get him to wake up and start
- 59:41Speaker 1: taking better care of himself. I can only do so
- 59:44Speaker 1: much for him. If he doesn't want to exercise and
- 59:47Speaker 1: monitor his blood sugar, What more can I possibly do? Well?
- 59:51Speaker 1: You know, I don't know that there is more that
- 59:54Speaker 1: you can possibly do if you're if you're doing all
- 59:56Speaker 1: that you can, Because one thing is for sure, you
- 59:59Speaker 1: can't make any want do anything. You can't make him
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: that your husband has to want to change, he has
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: to want to get better and want to get healthier. UM,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I know, maybe you can appeal to him on behalf
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: of your three beautiful healthy children that you have. UM,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: you know that he should take better care of himself.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Perhaps he's depressed because of the type two diabetes. Maybe
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: he could see a doctor because of that, and then
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: you know, maybe if he's treated for the depression, maybe
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: he can go back to the doctor and and possibly
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: you know, start all over again taking better care of himself.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: But one thing is for sure, he's got to want
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: to do it, though you can't make him do it.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Steve Well, mhm. The thing that sticks out the most
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: in this whole letter is, yeah, you got to diabetes,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: were too late for us, which is all I know
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: about it. And let me just say that. Let me
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: just say that, if you have type two diabetes, turn
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: your damn radio all because you ain't gonna like nothinging
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: to say. We have an expert here, Well we got
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: it that you don't know, if you don't even know
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: if he's gonna have a SEG, you don't take care
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: of itself at all. So listen to me. If you
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: have type two diabetes, turn your damn radio, because when
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: we come back, I got d joke. Now, I ain't
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: cracking on nobody self demand in the letter, but not
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: just because you got it. That ain't got nothing to
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: do with this joke that I have to do about
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: the type two diabetes. I'm telling you right now, if
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: you have type two DIBETI tell you're damn radio. Go
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: when I come back. I got of Joe's about the
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: man in the latter with the type two you're listening
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Have you ever worked at a
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: place where they didn't want you talking about your salary? Actually,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: have you ever worked anywhere where they did? Unlikely? But
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: don't you have a right to know? If only there

- 1:02:40Speaker 1: coming up in about twenty minutes. So come on, Steve,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: let's get to part two of your response to today's
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. You know now here we got this man
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: right here, Oh uh he he just let himself go first.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: He was exercise when if Friday has got tired, exercide
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: and I bet it got something do with it. Waiting too.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: There's a fat man right here that don't want to
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: work out no more. Now he got two things that's
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: going wrong. He experiences new neuropathy at which is and
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: and then impotence. Impotence really means impotent because it's the
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: most important thing that's happening with your damn that beating,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: because now you can't rise to the occasion no more,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: because you like can now what I'm not gonna do.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: It's not allowed my general to salute no more because
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I like got up that damn mind. Is it gonna
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: be candy or cooking? Cooking? What's it gonna be candy
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: or cooking? I prefer cooking, damn the candy. So now
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: he's sitting up in here. Now he can't be nothing
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: to his kids no more. His half falling out. And
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: then he got a newer thing that's when new baby
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: the roperthy. You know what that means. That means that
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: for means when you got new rotten teeth. That's what
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: That's what that te cose course, because that's what new
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: roperty is. That's when you got new rotten teeth. That's
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: all that is. Because I'm tired of people on that ship.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: But everybody got in that. Everybody called me and why
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: each time my people got typed to Dobby, I told
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: you for if you got typed too, do turn your
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: damn radio for ten minutes. You're the one stun Did
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I not? Did I not say what I was doing?
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: I got to do the joke. I can't joke. I
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: don't do this where too far, too far, but I do.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Sitting up in here, man, I want to go get
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: some ice cream. I don't want to go get no
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: ice cream. Some I have been to fall out that
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: day eating. I'm just looking at my watch with a
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: countdown going. How many spoons can if food eat? Oh
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: heat all out? In the damn Trump kids can't have

- 1:06:38Speaker 1: never't seen the movie outside the billboards for it's about
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: all right. It's about the female m C from means,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: you know, back in the day hip hop. So if
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: you're a hip hop fan, everybody on social media is
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: encouraging folks to watch Roxane Roxanne. It's on Netflix starting today,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: so you guys can check it out. I saw a
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: lot of any views with Nia Long. She's making her round.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: She was on the Today's Show. And she plays Miss Peggy,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: who was Roxanne Shawntey's mom in the movie, and she
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: goes there because this woman, she's still a lot Miss Peggy.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: She was alcoholic, she was depressive. And the movie is
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: produced by Forest Whittaker and Pharrell So a lot of
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: people are wanting to support this movie and show it love.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: It got a lot of grave reviews at the Sundance
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Film Festival, so make sure you check it out. Talk
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: about heros, talk about unsung heroes, the female MC, you know,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: So that's a good thing. They're doing a movie about
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: her man Roxane Roxanne Rock. Yeah, yeah, not a mahrschel
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Ali is also in this movie. He plays her older boyfriend, Rocks, saying,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Shawntay's older boyfriend in the movie because you know, she
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: was very young on the rap scene and she got pregnant.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: He was dating this girl when she was sixteen. This
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: is a raw, gritty movie about survival. So you know,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: so this is this is a movie. This isn't a
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: TV show basis, No, this is a movie on Netflix. Yep,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: this is Yeah. Roxanne Sante and that was the gym
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: back in the day, right, Roxane Roxanne right, right then
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: she came back with Roxanne's Revenge. So all of that. Yeah,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: there listening, what did you say to you? I'm sorry,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: go ahead. What year was that? Early nineties? Eighties, might
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: have been eighties, Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was eighties, way
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: back in the day. She's still doing her thing, Roxanne
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: DJ and still doing her thing. And um, it's great
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: that people wanted to do her life story like this.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: And uh, I think these kinds of movies we always
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: need to see this, you know, the hip hop movie,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: urban lifestyle type movies. And you know, I think it's
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: great that Parrell and Forest Whittaker and everybody got together,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: knee long and doing a movie. Let's get it. I
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: like it. Here's here's a little here's a little trailer.

- 1:10:33Speaker 1: the words of the ladies, let's just get this out
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: the way. Is that ono? Damn? The third finger left hands.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: Tony Tony, Tony, all right, so congratulations Tony engagement it's official,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: now official. But you knew this before. You knew this
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: before I knew this because you're psychic told me months
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: ago on your show Man. She came on the show
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: and Reginald Lewis, the psychic medium, told her you'll be
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: getting engaged. And then Tony said, will the ring be big?
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: He said if he and she just started smelling. And
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I'm telling you how long after that did it happen?
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Tody a couple of months, and I never said anything
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: to my Fionn say, I never told him. You know,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: he didn't see the show, you know, because he loves anything.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: But he didn't tell me he was thinking about it
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: anything to me. So she's engaged to baby who is?
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: I called Brian, I know, don't you know what? Respect? Always?
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Let me tell you how cool bird Man is. My
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: daughter Morgan was getting married and I gave her the
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: day of her dream. So she said, and Dad, I
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: want to get married and I want to be in
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: the back seat of the convertible may box. I said, okay,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I don't have that. That car is two million dollars.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: I don't have that. So my wife goes online and
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: calls the company who said they could rent it, which
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: but they don't even have it, so they lied. So Birdman,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: one of his dudes, found out that I was looking
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: for a car and called me up. He said, Man,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Birdman car Bergman don't rent his cow dog. But if
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: we Steve Harvey looking for the car? He said yeah,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: he said, bird won'ta talk to you. So I called
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: bird up. I said, what's up? He's said, hey, what's up?
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Oh G, I said, I said, hey, you heard me,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: I said, bird my daughter getting married? Man, but I
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: didn't know. My wife thought she could rent this car,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: she said. He said, now, but for you dog? What
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: you need? I said, matter, I can't ask you nothing
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: like that. You ain't asking me. I'm asking you what
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: you need. Birdman put that convertible may box on a truck,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: delivered it the day before my daughter got married. And
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: my daughter got married in that car. He never never
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: mentioned that to me. Tony. He put a two million
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: dollar car on the truck and gave it to me
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: and would not let me pay him a nickel for
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: se No, that dude, man, that's my dude. He's safe
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: for you O G. He's a fan. You're my dude. Man,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: can anybody else borrow? I gotta ask if you don't,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: If you don't ask, not because what we asked not?
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: And Tony, one more thing before we get started with
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: what you're here for. I saw Birdman's Thing on Netflix,
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Before Anything, that's the name of it. Before Anything. It's
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: the coolest documentary of a person that I that was
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: the realist. It took his from his childhood. His parents talked,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: his mother in law talked, everybody talked. All his boys,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: what they did, how they did it, what flipped them around,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: how they changed their life. Oh, man, you gotta watch
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: it on Netflix. It's called before Anything, Before Anything. Yeah,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: it's it's out of sight that it was all right,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: we're here with our buddy, our friends, and you know Turning.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: You came on the show and you talked about it,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: but then you we got it done. Now it's the
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: eighth studio album. It's called Sex and Cigarettes. It's available
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: online and in stores. So let's talk about the album
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Sex and Cigarette. I was here we talked about f H.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Remember yeah yeah, now we can really talk about it.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know a
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: wage sometimes I gotta say that for a moment. So
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: you gotta say somebody cuts you off, you gotta say that.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: But it's about being in a relationship with Look, if
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: you don't want to work this out, you don't want
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: to be with me, you're not feeling me. Look, just
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: f a wage and just let me go. Okay the
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: last three? Yeah right here, all you need to know
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: what blank out of here? Everybody know what the rest
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: of Yeah, so, Tony, so what makes this difference you
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: think from what you've done in the past. Ah, you know,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: I'm still thinking about said love songs, but doing it
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: from an adult perspective. I'm talking in adult language about it.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: But nobody does it better than you, Tony Braxton. I
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: mean really, nobody does talk about for real. But you know,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: love song, I don't know what. I don't know how
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: they thought love was fit to go out of style
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: because it don't. It doesn't, it doesn't. The good thing
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: is back in style. Yes, Yeah, that's a damn shame
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: that the nineties is retro yesterday. Yeah history. Yeah. So hey,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: look Tony, stick around because we're gonna be talking with you.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: We you know, we're gonna play something off the album
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: and we just get to hear more about it and

- 1:28:12Speaker 1: that right now, bam, don't. Yeah, just some people react
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: to it. Hey, y'all, that's Tony Braxon. Make sure y'all
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: get out Sex and Cigarettes. It's available now. Tony. We
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: love you, girl, girl. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: Morning Show. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has admitted that is
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: social network made mistakes that led to millions of Facebook
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: users having their data profile personal information exploited by a
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: political consultancy company called Cambridge Analytica. Now, Cambridge Analytica has
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: some kind of ties with a Trump campaign, and it's
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: accused of improperly using Facebook data from up to get
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: this fifty million user profiles on behalf of political clients. Yeah. So,
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: in a statement, Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg said he was sorry. Initially,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: he said a breach of trust had occurred. Zuckerberg also
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: added that he was happy to confess and testify. I
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: should say before Congress if it's the right thing to do.
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: And his statement posted on Facebook, he promised to make
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: it far harder for apps to a heart risked user information. So, um,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: here's our social media question of the day. Guys, in
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: light of this recent Facebook scandal, have you have you?
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: Have you or are you considering deleting your Facebook account?
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: So hit us up on Facebook? Yes, intended right there? Yeah,

- 1:29:59Speaker 1: leading the He's trying to find a way to have
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: the breach of Facebook directly to them Texas his wife
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: Trump Trump Junior. Let me putting in your daddy, y'all?
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: Are they real cool? Very? Are you playing the part
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: of Donald Trump Junior? Steve? Yeah, I'm Donald Trump Junior. Huh,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: you'll give me daddy goes to jail. You don't really care,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: not if I can get taken phone. Mr Donald Trump Jrr.
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: Do you think you can get your dad's tax records
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: for us? And I have I have a copye available
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: for anyone can get my phone returned to me. I
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: could just hold it one more time before we get
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: it caught. If I could just spend some time alone
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: with my phone, that would mean world to me. I
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: haven't seen my phone since she took it off that night.
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: I can just get my phone back. Yes, you can
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: have my daddy. Thank you. I think Carla had a
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: question Carlin. I do Donald Trump Jr. Any advice you
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: want to give to any of the fellows and players
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: out there? Listening me and listen to me, Listen to me.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: I don't care what you're doing. Take your phone with
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: you in this show. Duc taping to your thigh if
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: you die, If you die, have the mortician implan craf
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: your book. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Steve,
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: We're ready for your clothing remarks. I'm so happy they're back.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: Everybody my closing remarks today. This is what I've chosen
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: to do. UM. I have variations of this when I'm
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: talking as a speaker and things like that, but I'm
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna go a different way with you today. UH.
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: There's a saying that if you're the smartest person in
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: your group, then you need a new group. I want you,
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: I want you all to just think about that for
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: a minute. If you're the smartest person in your group,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you need a new group. Now. I've been very, very
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: guilty of this, not saying that I was smarter than
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: everybody else, but I had been exposed more than a
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: certain group of people I had employed and had hanging
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: around me. I had been exposed to more things. I
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: naturally was making more because they were mostly employees. UM,
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: I wanted more. Uh, And because of the fact that
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: I had more and more was required of me, I
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: just had bigger dreams. I out dreamed everybody in my group,
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: and it just gotten to a point. And I'm saying
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: this because I want you all to put everything in
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: the perspective as I'm talking to you, just imagine at
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: your place in your life that if you're the one
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: that's constantly coming up with the ideas, you're the one
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: constantly coming up with the solution. You're the one everybody
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: turns to for guidance. You're the person always picking up
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: the tab. You're the person that's the only one who's
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: dreaming really big. You're the one that's pulling the wagon,
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: and you happen to be carrying everybody that's on it.
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: Ain't not of your associates getting off the wagon to
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: help you pull it, push it, got it or nothing.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: They just owned the wagon and you're doing all the
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: pull it. You need a new group. You need a
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: new group. Now, the problem with the quiring this new group,
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: it's gonna be that the fact is inevitable. You have
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: to get rid of the old group. And it's hard.
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: It's hard cutting people lose because for the most part,
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: you're just a nice person. Because you start beating yourself
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: up with stuff that has nothing to do with you. Well,
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: if if I let them go, what they're gonna do? Man,
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: how his family gonna eat? How her family gonna survive?
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: How how are they gonna if if I let them go? Man?
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: How they gonna feel about me? What will they say
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: about me? What will the other group members think about me?
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: But you know something, man, that's not your job. And
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: I'm not trying to sound cold and cow us, but
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: it's just not your job. They are responsible for themselves.
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: But through this meaningless emotion called guilt, they will make
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: you feel guilty about letting them go and making them
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: stop riding up the heel in your wagon for free.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: And they use guilt, which is the most meaningless emotion,
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: and they give it to you all the time. Y'all,
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: do yourself a favor. Stop doing that, Stop carrying people
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: who should be walking themselves. Stop pulling people up the
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: heeling your wagon when they need to get their own
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: wagon to pull. Stop. Do yourself a favor, get yourself
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: a new group. They will be fine because let me
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: ask you a question. This is something my father used
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: to say to me all the time. What would you
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: do if you didn't know me? And I used to
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: never understand what my father said that that till I
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: got older, but I hear him saying it to me
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: all the time. People come to you, ask you for
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: money because I know you got it because you're doing
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: better than them. Well, you work harder than them, so
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: quite naturally you should be doing better them. Now they
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: come to you and lay this guilt. Man, you you didn't.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: You didn't came up and all of us and over
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: all of us and left us back in. Man, we're
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: so proud of you. Let me hold. My father used
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: to say, if you didn't know me, what would you do?
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: So I started incorporating that in my life. If you
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: didn't have my number, who would you call? I cannot
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: be everybody's emergency. If you are everybody's emergency phone call,
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: you need a new group. They're gonna bring you down. Man,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: I'm telling you, they're going to bring you down. And
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: when you go down, guess what, They're gonna get another
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: emergency number. They're not gonna be there for you. All
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: these people that use you as their emergency, do you
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: have the ability to use them as your emergency? I
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: think not. It's time to look at getting a new
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: group now. You can sever the ties with these people now,
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: or you can wait until a major event occurs. That's
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: gonna cause you have to break it off. And it's
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: gonna be a lot more painful and a lot more costly,
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: you know. But Bishop Jake said one time, sometimes you
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: have to let people go so they can be freed
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: up to go be who they're supposed to be, because
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: some people just hanging on cause it's comfortable, because you've
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: made it comfortable for people. And I'm talking to everybody
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: out there. This ain't for me or people who have employees.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: This is for people who have people in their lives.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: It's constantly pulling on you, man. For twenty dollars here,
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: forty dollars here, a hundred over here? My light bill
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: went off. They cut this off. They calling me, I'm
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: behind on my taxes, my income tax check. Ain't hear you? Man?
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: Oh man? Oh man? How many times do you get that?
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: Stop being everybody's emergency phone call? Because if they didn't
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: know you, what would they do? You know what my
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: father used to say, When they don't know you, what
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: would they do? They need to get on get you
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: doing it. You can't save everybody because they'll bring you down.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: If you're the smartest person in your group, you need
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: a new group. They'll have a great tale. Okay, I'm
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: gonna have a good weekend too. For all Steve Harvey contests,
