- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time to y'all don't know, y'all back
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit on, looking back to back down, giving them
- 0:15Speaker 1: like a milking buck things. And it's not doing me
- 0:19Speaker 1: true good it Steve Hart to move together for Steley,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join joining you doing me. You gotta turn
- 1:05Speaker 1: hurt you. You gotta turn to turn them out, turn
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out. Then turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on, your baby, got it? I
- 2:02Speaker 1: show will a good morning everybody. You're listening to the
- 2:05Speaker 1: voice I said, come on now, I dig me the
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, Now,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna be really honest with you this morning. I
- 2:17Speaker 1: really don't know what to say. I really don't. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: was sitting here and I was thinking what do I
- 2:28Speaker 1: say today? I do know that I want to be encouraging,
- 2:35Speaker 1: uplifting and inspirational in some way to affect somebody today. Oftentimes,
- 2:42Speaker 1: these conversations that I have in the mornings, they're designed
- 2:47Speaker 1: with me because I needed myself, y'all, to be honest
- 2:51Speaker 1: with you. I mean, you know who makes the comedian laugh?
- 2:57Speaker 1: I used to say all the time. And even though
- 3:01Speaker 1: what we talk about in the morning is not a
- 3:03Speaker 1: laughing matter. It kind of like is it's who I
- 3:06Speaker 1: am today. You know, I need motivation in my life
- 3:11Speaker 1: sometimes myself. I think when I get in moments like this,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I often resort back to the same thing over and
- 3:22Speaker 1: over and over. And when I find myself in certain predicaments,
- 3:29Speaker 1: I can always fall back on the same thing over
- 3:32Speaker 1: and over. So while I'm sitting here trying to figure
- 3:36Speaker 1: out what to say to you, the one thing that
- 3:40Speaker 1: I did do this morning that I find to be
- 3:42Speaker 1: very consistent in me is that I find myself grateful.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I'm ever grateful for the things that God has done
- 3:52Speaker 1: for me. I may not always know what to say,
- 3:56Speaker 1: but I know how to say thank you, I do.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I know how to remember and reflect back on where
- 4:04Speaker 1: I come from. I know how to realize where all
- 4:10Speaker 1: my blessings come from. I'm very very conscious of my
- 4:15Speaker 1: journey that I've been on, though, the one that was
- 4:20Speaker 1: from then until now, that journey right there is it's been.
- 4:26Speaker 1: It's been. It's been. It's been difficult, man, it really
- 4:30Speaker 1: really has. I ain't gonna lie to you, um me,
- 4:35Speaker 1: becoming successful was very difficult. But as hard as this
- 4:42Speaker 1: is to say, I really really mean this. I wouldn't
- 4:47Speaker 1: change nothing about the trip I've been on number one,
- 4:54Speaker 1: because I can't change anything about it. So I never
- 4:59Speaker 1: lived my life in regret. But the main thing is
- 5:03Speaker 1: was I discovered along the way now not doing the
- 5:08Speaker 1: process when you're going through rough moments that you can't
- 5:12Speaker 1: hardly see the good in it at the time. It's
- 5:15Speaker 1: just rough for you and it seems unexplainable, and oftentimes
- 5:18Speaker 1: I thought it was unfair. But as I am now,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I needed every single thing that happened to me, that
- 5:27Speaker 1: happened to me to happen to me. I hope that
- 5:33Speaker 1: makes sense to you. I needed everything to happen in
- 5:38Speaker 1: the exact order and the exact way that it happened
- 5:43Speaker 1: in order for me to be the person that I've become.
- 5:49Speaker 1: And that right there, man, that right there alone, it
- 5:56Speaker 1: is just very comforting to me. Issue Jake's told me
- 6:01Speaker 1: one time, he said, the closer you get to God,
- 6:04Speaker 1: the more friendly you all become, the more He will
- 6:08Speaker 1: reveal to you or the how it comes and the
- 6:13Speaker 1: what fays of a lot of things has happened to you,
- 6:16Speaker 1: Because a lot of times what troubles us is we
- 6:19Speaker 1: just can't understand why we lost that love one back then.
- 6:23Speaker 1: We just can't understand why we didn't get what we
- 6:27Speaker 1: wanted back then. We just don't understand how come our
- 6:31Speaker 1: plan didn't work out and we had to fail so
- 6:34Speaker 1: miserably back then. We don't understand the answers to these things. Well,
- 6:39Speaker 1: the closer I've gotten to God, the more those explanations
- 6:43Speaker 1: have become crystal clear to me. And See, the one
- 6:47Speaker 1: thing that I came to the realization everybody is that
- 6:50Speaker 1: the things that was happening to me, they wasn't really
- 6:53Speaker 1: all bad. They really wasn't that they didn't taste good.
- 6:57Speaker 1: When it was happening, I didn't enjoy what I was
- 7:00Speaker 1: going through. But as I look back on them and
- 7:03Speaker 1: reflect now, it wasn't all bad. Some of those things
- 7:06Speaker 1: was so necessary for me to get the information because say,
- 7:09Speaker 1: I don't know about you, but I'm kind of hard
- 7:11Speaker 1: headed and stubborn. I said, I don't know about you,
- 7:15Speaker 1: but I'm kind of hard headed and stubborn. I kind
- 7:19Speaker 1: of like to think that I know something about some
- 7:22Speaker 1: things every now and then, and the things I am
- 7:26Speaker 1: convinced about I don't really really care for people trying
- 7:30Speaker 1: to talk me off mine So I can be stubborn
- 7:33Speaker 1: and hard headed. Sometimes God knows that about me. So
- 7:38Speaker 1: I think to get some of the messages crystal clear
- 7:40Speaker 1: through the me that I needed to learn. That was
- 7:43Speaker 1: this process I had to go through. That process was
- 7:46Speaker 1: my journey, It was my trip, It was my woa,
- 7:50Speaker 1: my pain. Say, everybody got them different, It don't matter
- 7:53Speaker 1: what it is. Everybody got a woe, everybody got a pain,
- 7:56Speaker 1: everybody got a trial, everybody got some tribulation, everybody got
- 8:01Speaker 1: some challenge. I don't care who you are, dud, it's
- 8:02Speaker 1: quit looking at me thinking that I got it going
- 8:05Speaker 1: on so tough man if Steve, Yeah, it's easy for
- 8:08Speaker 1: you to say that, but you ain't here. You don't know. Wow, Ben,
- 8:13Speaker 1: if you would stop hanging yourself up on your pass,
- 8:16Speaker 1: worrying about your woes and your troubles and the situation
- 8:20Speaker 1: you're in, and start praying and start asking God to
- 8:24Speaker 1: get you through it. See a lot of times you
- 8:27Speaker 1: messed it. You messed a message up yourself, because when
- 8:30Speaker 1: you're going through some stuff, you ask God to remove
- 8:33Speaker 1: it and take it away. That ain't the lesson. You
- 8:35Speaker 1: got to learn your lesson. Sometimes it's it's gotta be
- 8:39Speaker 1: how to be strong, how to see it through, how
- 8:43Speaker 1: to bear under it, how to carry that weight long
- 8:47Speaker 1: distances for long periods of time. That's how you get strong.
- 8:53Speaker 1: The lesson is to make you stronger. But to make
- 8:55Speaker 1: you stronger, you got to carry the weight. You can't
- 8:57Speaker 1: get stronger. You're gonna go to gym or you're on
- 9:00Speaker 1: do something at your house to lift your own body weight. See,
- 9:03Speaker 1: a lot of people can't even do push ups. Then
- 9:08Speaker 1: they can't get down, and then the course of a day,
- 9:11Speaker 1: give you a hundred push ups because they ain't. They ain't,
- 9:14Speaker 1: they ain't never try to daybody. They get to twenty
- 9:17Speaker 1: and that shake it so bad they stop. That's too
- 9:20Speaker 1: much for me. Well, let me tell you something. So
- 9:22Speaker 1: I learned to quit praying to take stuff away. My
- 9:25Speaker 1: prayer became to give me the strength to handle it.
- 9:27Speaker 1: People oftentimes ask me, how do you do all that
- 9:30Speaker 1: you do in the course of the day. I don't
- 9:32Speaker 1: really know. I just know I can because I know
- 9:38Speaker 1: God don't put more on you than you can back.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So when you ask me how you do all of
- 9:43Speaker 1: what you do in the course of the day, I
- 9:45Speaker 1: got God all things are possible through him. That strengthens me.
- 9:54Speaker 1: He strengthens me. See all them times I was working
- 9:58Speaker 1: and living in a con struggling and people booing, and
- 10:01Speaker 1: people telling me I won't gonna mount to nothing, and
- 10:03Speaker 1: standing on that stage for hours and hours and just
- 10:06Speaker 1: going through it and going through it and living my
- 10:08Speaker 1: life all in misery and misery is so now Now,
- 10:13Speaker 1: when God got what he got from me, I can
- 10:15Speaker 1: stand here and do it all. Yeah, I'm up early
- 10:19Speaker 1: this morning. Yes, So what what do sleep get you? Man?
- 10:23Speaker 1: Sleep don't nothing. Come to a purpose that loves sleep,
- 10:27Speaker 1: But poverty set upon you like a thief in the night. Man.
- 10:33Speaker 1: So now I ain't got no time for sleep. I
- 10:34Speaker 1: want to get up and live, live my life and
- 10:37Speaker 1: love my life. Man, come home. Man, God is good.
- 10:41Speaker 1: He'll get you through whatever it is you're going through.
- 10:43Speaker 1: So when you're tripping in you don't know what to say,
- 10:47Speaker 1: reflect and be grateful for all you reflect on. Think
- 10:52Speaker 1: about God's goodness and watch what he do for you.
- 10:55Speaker 1: That's the cold part. Okay, you're listening, ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:03Speaker 1: Now I have your attention. Please, this is the Steve
- 11:05Speaker 1: HARKing Morning Show. I'm mean it's Steve made no mistake
- 11:08Speaker 1: about it, and so all this properness that you thought
- 11:12Speaker 1: you was about to hear ain't going to happen. So
- 11:17Speaker 1: let's begin this show. Let's try to get it off
- 11:20Speaker 1: to us. Rousing start, ladies and gentlemen. Here we are
- 11:28Speaker 1: surely Strawberry. Hello, Steve. I know that hurts you, girl,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I know, but this you're gonna be all right? Callin Forrell.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve. What's up? Crew one and only Junior
- 11:39Speaker 1: Morning Clubbus not Carolina, Thank y'all. And Jeffer Brown, thank
- 11:45Speaker 1: you Steve for the party, the food you timm it, Yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 1: you ain't. That's my uncle. Y'all. Okay, case y'all don't
- 11:56Speaker 1: know it, case y'all for God and that right there
- 11:59Speaker 1: be Well everybody, good, y'all have a good weekend. No,
- 12:05Speaker 1: I ain't had no good weekend. But New England cheated
- 12:08Speaker 1: and the referee need to be thom for real, dog man,
- 12:12Speaker 1: I've never seen a worse weekends in all of sports
- 12:17Speaker 1: that actually impacted the outcome. Neither one of the teams
- 12:25Speaker 1: that's in the Super Bowl. Technically i'm talking about dog
- 12:32Speaker 1: should not be in the Super Bowl. Yes man, I'm
- 12:36Speaker 1: glad that I'm gonna have a body. The Rams really
- 12:41Speaker 1: ain't supposed to be that they had a pass in
- 12:44Speaker 1: the fish call on them. That was so obvious. Seriously,
- 12:48Speaker 1: it was helmet to helmet, its head to head. It's
- 12:50Speaker 1: two funnies on one plate. And they didn't call neither one.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Maybe they didn't see it, they saw it. Who the
- 12:56Speaker 1: hell ain't see, but surely they made up. They made up. Shirley, Shirley.
- 13:02Speaker 1: The ball only goes to one place at the time.
- 13:05Speaker 1: They don't have a ball. If the ball is in
- 13:09Speaker 1: the air, everybody got time to turn around. Everybody in
- 13:12Speaker 1: the stadium follows the ball. So when the referees that
- 13:17Speaker 1: ball is in the air, you got time to find
- 13:19Speaker 1: this ball. And when you see a dude smack his
- 13:24Speaker 1: head into the other receiver without ever turning around, and
- 13:29Speaker 1: then here comes the ball after that and the dude
- 13:32Speaker 1: go crashing on the ground, you figure, okay, cool, here
- 13:35Speaker 1: we go. Let's gonna get this into the bow. Everybody
- 13:49Speaker 1: saw that. I saw, I was on the plane. It
- 13:53Speaker 1: was worst, worse, horrible. So it should be in Kansas
- 13:58Speaker 1: City and the same, yes, technically, wait, but seriously, especially
- 14:03Speaker 1: the Saints. Okay, oh, my god, if you have the
- 14:05Speaker 1: Saints party, the last drive New England had every every
- 14:14Speaker 1: penalty went to break. That penalty for roughing the person
- 14:20Speaker 1: was not oh Man bro. That gave him a first donal.
- 14:26Speaker 1: All right, well, coming up at thirty two after, guys,
- 14:29Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about we talked about a lot off
- 14:32Speaker 1: the air Steve's birthday party about and we could talk
- 14:35Speaker 1: more about sports. Two of you guys want to uh,
- 14:39Speaker 1: that's coming up right after this. You're listening to show.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Yesterday we did a special tribute to MLK. That was
- 14:48Speaker 1: our special show yesterday, So we didn't really get a
- 14:51Speaker 1: chance to talk about your birthday party over the weekend, Stephen.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Obviously you guys didn't talk about football either, so your
- 14:59Speaker 1: party was great. We had such a one. I didn't
- 15:02Speaker 1: make it. Y'all got to tell me what Big Dog did.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Didn't We didn't go. So let me tell you this.
- 15:07Speaker 1: When you when you have the ability to heat up outside, yes,
- 15:11Speaker 1: the whole time Los Angeles neighborhood, I mean completely heated
- 15:17Speaker 1: for the entire city of Los Angeles. That's let me
- 15:24Speaker 1: tell you something. Let me tell you something. Cannot go
- 15:27Speaker 1: invite you. He ain't doing the thing. He's doing it right?
- 15:32Speaker 1: When does he not do? He always go do it? Oh? Yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 1: everybody had their own du Yeah yeah. So so y'all,
- 15:42Speaker 1: y'all got to give me food. You know I'm a
- 15:43Speaker 1: food he so, y'all gotta tell me the food. The
- 15:45Speaker 1: food was great. They had crab cakes on little brioche buns.
- 15:50Speaker 1: They had oh wait a minute, wait a minute. And
- 15:52Speaker 1: it's not like you know, you had to like, um,
- 15:55Speaker 1: go down the buffet or anything like that. No, you
- 15:58Speaker 1: just sat down and ordered from the what menu? Excuse me?
- 16:03Speaker 1: At your house? Me? Excuse me? Yes, you had you
- 16:06Speaker 1: had a menu menu at your house. When you come
- 16:10Speaker 1: to mar it's a buffet. Whatever you see in the
- 16:13Speaker 1: shape for dishes. You when you gotta get whatever in
- 16:20Speaker 1: the kitchen, you just sit down, order order what you
- 16:23Speaker 1: want off the menu and the menu do you go
- 16:26Speaker 1: up and get it? What? When they have so many
- 16:30Speaker 1: beautiful servers all you had to do. You didn't have
- 16:33Speaker 1: to do anything. When your drinks have full, you turn
- 16:35Speaker 1: around full again? Bamamuse what? Okay? Excuse go ahead? This
- 16:46Speaker 1: party at a house or a hall. No, we don't know,
- 16:51Speaker 1: we don't know. We don't go nowhere from all we
- 16:54Speaker 1: said at the table. We didn't roam around. Okay, okay, okay,
- 17:00Speaker 1: outside all we know it was outside. Wait, hold up, Steve,
- 17:04Speaker 1: we got we got this. Hold we we didn't see
- 17:10Speaker 1: any houses around. Okay, if this was in a house
- 17:15Speaker 1: all when you park your cart, there's a golf cart
- 17:18Speaker 1: that takes you all the way up to the house. Yes, yes,
- 17:22Speaker 1: as long as wall. Yeah, oh my god, we hold on,
- 17:27Speaker 1: hold on now, you just can't drive up to the
- 17:30Speaker 1: house in the golf cart. You have to stop at
- 17:32Speaker 1: this enormous game. This is like the wall in Game
- 17:36Speaker 1: of Thrones. The Wall and you got to go up
- 17:42Speaker 1: to the wall and they have to now to you.
- 17:46Speaker 1: You just do They say winter is coming now. But
- 17:51Speaker 1: then you have to give him your name. I had
- 17:53Speaker 1: to give him my ID, my passport, a blood sample
- 17:58Speaker 1: body to get in, get in. You know what? The
- 18:03Speaker 1: crazy part of this when you think, you like, every
- 18:07Speaker 1: time he do something, I got him at a number
- 18:09Speaker 1: right in my mind, I think he's this rich. Now
- 18:12Speaker 1: he does this, Now I gotta add ten more me
- 18:18Speaker 1: so fabulous skating ring with the disco over the ring, yes, wait,
- 18:25Speaker 1: the regular party. Hold hold a disco skating rink? What
- 18:33Speaker 1: what how many people were skating at one time? Oh,
- 18:38Speaker 1: that was crowded. So he had skates for everybody? Yes,
- 18:46Speaker 1: how he know what side they made the skates right
- 18:52Speaker 1: there before you. You know they made him. But they
- 18:57Speaker 1: put like a shoe together. Well they you turn your
- 19:00Speaker 1: back him and they would make good. We missed everything. Yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 1: it was fabulous. You guys missed it. What how did
- 19:15Speaker 1: he have a disco ball aver the skate outside? How
- 19:22Speaker 1: do you have a disco ball? State? We ken hanging
- 19:25Speaker 1: in the air with a drone? The drone was yeah, yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 1: he got a drone. Stayed in place. You got a
- 19:34Speaker 1: drone and disco It was so fabulous. It was now
- 19:40Speaker 1: an let's let's stop. Let's stop for min Let's hear
- 19:43Speaker 1: from rich ass. Right now, let's just hear from him
- 19:46Speaker 1: finished his story, rich ass, Come on, tell us what's happen?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Never coming to uther. This is all of your house, Steve.
- 19:59Speaker 1: It was so beautiful though. We had such a good time.
- 20:03Speaker 1: People over to the house. Y'all come on, having nice time. Timmy,
- 20:08Speaker 1: listen to me. You could walk up there and get
- 20:10Speaker 1: your food. You didn't have to sit down if you
- 20:14Speaker 1: want to. You had an option. Well, well, he had
- 20:19Speaker 1: you had the Yeah, we had minutes time because you
- 20:22Speaker 1: had to go, or you could walk up to the
- 20:24Speaker 1: place in order you could stand in what places we're
- 20:28Speaker 1: on your property? What plays nice as it was? You
- 20:32Speaker 1: knew when it was time to go. Oh, I know,
- 20:37Speaker 1: I know how he could to turn it lights off?
- 20:40Speaker 1: I know how to skate? Was fun. Jay skated Monica.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Shirley didn't skate. Monica smoked cigars in the backyard. Ain't
- 20:50Speaker 1: gotten mad and gotten mad because we didn't have teetos.
- 20:56Speaker 1: The man looked at her. She said, y'all ain't got
- 20:58Speaker 1: no decent man. We had got kettle one. We have
- 21:02Speaker 1: kettle on, we have great goose, we have several others.
- 21:08Speaker 1: We have some Russian vodkas. We have a large black.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Y'all ain't got no teetos. That man was so confused.
- 21:19Speaker 1: You had to have teetos though, you got pined apple juice,
- 21:24Speaker 1: so we have it fresh. Y'all ain't got it in
- 21:27Speaker 1: the can just looking at Yeah, but it was really
- 21:34Speaker 1: it was real and Steve was happy, you know. And
- 21:38Speaker 1: let me tell you what brought me birthday gifts? What? Yeah,
- 21:44Speaker 1: we gotta hit this week, come back, all right, coming
- 21:46Speaker 1: up next part two or is this part three Part three? Yeah,
- 21:50Speaker 1: so big of Steve's birthday party right after this you're
- 21:54Speaker 1: listening show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:59Speaker 1: Guys and Entertainment news Erica bad Uh is clarifying the
- 22:04Speaker 1: backlash she received over her r Kelly comments, Russell Wilson's
- 22:08Speaker 1: response to Sierra's ex and baby dadd a future that's
- 22:12Speaker 1: coming up, as well as in national news. Of course,
- 22:15Speaker 1: we'll talk football uh some more. Super Bowl fifty three
- 22:19Speaker 1: is set, plus Democratic leader Kamala Harris is running for
- 22:23Speaker 1: president in twenty twenty. Yeah, right, now, let's get back
- 22:29Speaker 1: to Steve's birthday. Yeah, it was really nice, Steven. Thank
- 22:33Speaker 1: you again for so for those that missed Steve, you
- 22:36Speaker 1: had your birthday party Friday. I couldn't come. I had
- 22:39Speaker 1: Tish to sleepover with the girls all Jack and Tommy
- 22:42Speaker 1: had family duties. I didn't get to make it. Junior
- 22:48Speaker 1: was working in Comia. So now we left off with
- 22:51Speaker 1: how dope the party was. Continue The food was yes, Oh,
- 22:58Speaker 1: the music was grazybody. There was one period of the
- 23:03Speaker 1: party where somebody I don't know who did it, put
- 23:06Speaker 1: some rap on hell not at my party. Something not
- 23:13Speaker 1: that night he didn't like. Yeah, yeah, but not not
- 23:15Speaker 1: at my party. You know, I got kids, and I
- 23:19Speaker 1: got some rap out, like I like jay Z's new one.
- 23:22Speaker 1: You know, I love all eyes on me. I like
- 23:26Speaker 1: ice Q Death certificately. You know, I ain't nothing new.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I ain't well you know said that's the one I
- 23:32Speaker 1: listened to. You, I know the words shit them when
- 23:40Speaker 1: the rap came on that and then started off that
- 23:42Speaker 1: who in the hell put a wrap on at my party? Dog?
- 23:47Speaker 1: We do a maze. We do it, you know, we
- 23:49Speaker 1: out that roller skating Vaughn Mason bounce, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 1: yeah yeah, skate y, Yeah yeah, that's what we're doing. Okay.
- 24:07Speaker 1: And I went out there have to teach my sons
- 24:09Speaker 1: how to do the crossover on the skates, and I
- 24:12Speaker 1: had Now, I just showed him how to do it.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I can't take that chance, Tommy. Yeah, the last time
- 24:20Speaker 1: I skated, I was one hundred pounds lighter and an
- 24:23Speaker 1: inch shorter. I'm an inch taller and a hundred more
- 24:25Speaker 1: pounds going down from this house. It didn't look good
- 24:29Speaker 1: to me. Let me tell you something, talk about it
- 24:31Speaker 1: on stage. We in our third quarter. I can't mess
- 24:34Speaker 1: up my four quarter in my third quarter. Now I can't.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I can't do it, dog, I said there. It was
- 24:41Speaker 1: nice and everybody can't wear a nice time of girls
- 24:44Speaker 1: bought me wonderful gifts. I can't tell you what Shirley
- 24:47Speaker 1: bought me because her husband gonna leave her. Yeah, I
- 24:50Speaker 1: know get here, I know that out stuff sto. I
- 25:01Speaker 1: just want to say thank you, nest Tho, man, I
- 25:03Speaker 1: ain't know you care that deeper, biggest fan. Hell no,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I got that. Then Monica gave me a nice gift.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Monica gave me something with big pimping on it, and
- 25:16Speaker 1: I'll work, well, you know, Monica's gifts is gonna be
- 25:21Speaker 1: thoughtful and you know some something that you can use.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Shearley gonna go mold, you know, extravaganza. But you know
- 25:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna they're gonna get equal used because I've already
- 25:32Speaker 1: decided what Sharley's gonna be for. Monica's gonna be everyday used.
- 25:36Speaker 1: So you know they thought about the girls. Can't tell
- 25:39Speaker 1: you that though, you Let me just tell you that
- 25:43Speaker 1: it was Louis Viton. I'll tell you that real nice,
- 25:47Speaker 1: nice box. Everything. Monica's gift was really nice and thoughtful.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I'll be using that. I gotta go set it out,
- 25:54Speaker 1: some kind of man. They decorated it nice. They came in,
- 26:00Speaker 1: had a little Christian loubtin, red bottoms on, came in
- 26:04Speaker 1: there sitting up, you know, asking brand new, but just
- 26:08Speaker 1: mad as hell. Was no tee though. But the bartender
- 26:11Speaker 1: could not understand. He said, uh, she walked away. He said, yeah,
- 26:17Speaker 1: she walked away and said, uh, she's serious. She got
- 26:22Speaker 1: t Yeah. Did you hear him saying bartender, though, they'll
- 26:25Speaker 1: miss it? No, no, no, no no, from the writer. I
- 26:29Speaker 1: know it's people in black white all over the property.
- 26:33Speaker 1: You did, trust me. I know that. What I get
- 26:37Speaker 1: from the writers, Junior, it's in your office. You take that, okay,
- 26:43Speaker 1: No we put on that much put Oh okay, well
- 26:47Speaker 1: I ain't seen it. Ain't gonna get that to today. Yeah,
- 26:51Speaker 1: I'll go back, you know, I go in there this morning. Yeah,
- 26:54Speaker 1: thank you appreciate it. But you know the part it
- 26:57Speaker 1: was nice, man, glad y'all came through was out side.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Tommy wasn't inside. So let's just go keep that clear
- 27:03Speaker 1: like that. So the weather man said one degree he changed.
- 27:11Speaker 1: We didn't feel that at that party. Let me ask
- 27:15Speaker 1: you this. When they come in your house. When they
- 27:17Speaker 1: come to the party, do they come through the house
- 27:20Speaker 1: or do they go around back where the party is?
- 27:23Speaker 1: How does they work through the house? Through through the house.
- 27:31Speaker 1: All I'm saying, I'm been in the house, had it,
- 27:35Speaker 1: they've been around back. Well, you know, I got restrooms
- 27:38Speaker 1: outside everything. You can't go in. But it's the house.
- 27:42Speaker 1: It's not like I mean, I got it, I got it.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Let me just say that you can fit the chateau inside.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Yeah you say that, Okay, okay, sure, what you ain't
- 27:56Speaker 1: gonna do? Bless me, you weren't trying to get a visual.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Gave you a visual. Okay, Now let's move on. And
- 28:09Speaker 1: you ain't never bought me nothing. We you and I
- 28:13Speaker 1: would discuss that later. And for those that don't know,
- 28:16Speaker 1: the chateau is the name of Tommy's house. That's what
- 28:19Speaker 1: we call. Well it was until that. Well that's what
- 28:22Speaker 1: be on off the invitation. Don't be at the Miles Shatau.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Don't be at the Miles home. Yeah, that's when I
- 28:29Speaker 1: didn't know it. That when I found out when I
- 28:30Speaker 1: got the invitation to the shataul, Yes, because it's not
- 28:34Speaker 1: you know, you know, they don't put on that welcome
- 28:35Speaker 1: to the Miles home or welcome home with the Miles,
- 28:38Speaker 1: Welcome to the Shatau. That's the gate everything sat Oh
- 28:42Speaker 1: you know what it was? Anything wrong but right? He said,
- 28:47Speaker 1: your invitation. You gotta pull a ribbon. Yeah off the invitation.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Oh the schateau baller now, oh yeah it is and
- 28:54Speaker 1: you can don't fix it up? Now, No dogged me out.
- 29:02Speaker 1: All I'm saying, I didn't say anything about the chateau.
- 29:05Speaker 1: All you were asking me about. You were just saying
- 29:08Speaker 1: the n forget You always forget what you said. Jay
- 29:12Speaker 1: said that about the ska K. But you can you
- 29:15Speaker 1: always forget what you stop saying inside the saun. You
- 29:19Speaker 1: not just saying no, no, no, I said the chateau.
- 29:26Speaker 1: That's nobody. Nobody quote man, you're trying to quote me,
- 29:35Speaker 1: all right? Coming up, coming up, coming up at the
- 29:40Speaker 1: top of the hour, Entertainment news, Eric about Too is
- 29:44Speaker 1: clarifying her. R Kelly comments, you're listening to the Steve
- 29:48Speaker 1: Morning Show. Coming up in twenty minutes, We're going to
- 29:51Speaker 1: talk about the big game. Super Bowl fifty three is set.
- 29:55Speaker 1: It will be the La Rams versus the New England Patriots.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Watch Jason, I ain't watching wait the football party? Right, Okay, man,
- 30:06Speaker 1: this this is really man. The two teams that are
- 30:09Speaker 1: supposed to be in the Super Bowl Basketball are not
- 30:11Speaker 1: in it. Wow, I'm telling you man. The Saints is
- 30:15Speaker 1: supposed to be in the super Bowl. It's nowhere around
- 30:17Speaker 1: that blatant of a call that ends the game. That
- 30:21Speaker 1: ends the game, man, right, the game is over. Call
- 30:25Speaker 1: that happened. And you know what I'll be. I gotta
- 30:27Speaker 1: be honest with you. I'm not mad at LA. They
- 30:30Speaker 1: didn't do anything wrong. It's ok. It's it's it's the
- 30:33Speaker 1: refs man, it's no LA. Hey, man, you gotta respect
- 30:37Speaker 1: the call. LA played football. They can't be mad. They
- 30:40Speaker 1: played football. They didn't break no rules. They did everything.
- 30:44Speaker 1: So they're going. But let me tell you something, man,
- 30:47Speaker 1: that they got to change the rules. Man, you can't
- 30:51Speaker 1: in the last two minutes and then the game on
- 30:53Speaker 1: the line. And then I'll tell you something else. They
- 30:56Speaker 1: got to change the way they do over time because
- 30:59Speaker 1: when the when New England one, the toss went down
- 31:01Speaker 1: to score Kansas City, don't even get detestable. They don't
- 31:04Speaker 1: get a chance. And do you know in college, in
- 31:06Speaker 1: college on you get a chance. Everybody get a chance.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Everybody gets a chance. We got this wrong on so
- 31:13Speaker 1: many levels. So like Dion Sanders made a great point
- 31:17Speaker 1: today on TV, Dean said he doesn't understand so a
- 31:22Speaker 1: coin toss, which ain't got nothing to do with football,
- 31:26Speaker 1: determines the outcome of the team that goes to the
- 31:30Speaker 1: Super Bowl. Of course you can say heads yeah, and
- 31:33Speaker 1: you get to go down first and score and the
- 31:36Speaker 1: other team ain't got no say so they can't come
- 31:38Speaker 1: back and trying to tie up, and it's tied. We
- 31:42Speaker 1: are in over time because we are tied. Brows all right,
- 31:48Speaker 1: Steve so Um. In Entertainment News, Erica Badu and we
- 31:52Speaker 1: all love us some. Erica Badu. Well, Erica Badu is
- 31:55Speaker 1: found herself on the wrong side of the Art Kelly controversy.
- 31:59Speaker 1: During her show and Higo, she paused to Um, just
- 32:03Speaker 1: ask the audience to say a prayer for our Kelly,
- 32:06Speaker 1: and she acknowledged. She said, I hope arcis the light
- 32:10Speaker 1: of day if he's done all those things we've seen
- 32:12Speaker 1: on TV. Erica got some booze booze from the crowd,
- 32:17Speaker 1: and some people didn't appreciate her compassionate approach and started
- 32:21Speaker 1: shouting through him through him through him. Erica knew she
- 32:26Speaker 1: was opening herself up for criticism, but she said, I
- 32:29Speaker 1: just want peace and love for everyone, healing for everyone.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Steve Well, look and Kaba, do say pray for him?
- 32:37Speaker 1: Come on now, she said. And if he's guilty of
- 32:42Speaker 1: all those things, he do need praying that that that's
- 32:46Speaker 1: without a doubt. R Kelly needs prayer. So where is so?
- 32:53Speaker 1: I don't know why you're mad at her for saying that.
- 32:55Speaker 1: She just won't peace and love and light You know
- 32:58Speaker 1: that's a lighting candle and drinking tea and stuff on stage.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Y'all know what y'all gonna get what y'all go see?
- 33:03Speaker 1: Erica him, No, hell no, I've been watching to do
- 33:06Speaker 1: it since she was at my damn comedy clip. That's
- 33:09Speaker 1: how Eric. Yeah, it's sense little humming and all this.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Hell you know, your eyes in the back of her head. Yeah,
- 33:21Speaker 1: that girl though he can say anything because she's okay.
- 33:28Speaker 1: She meant no harm by the statement. She was in
- 33:31Speaker 1: his hometown and see and then, but do you know
- 33:34Speaker 1: how many people look man? The other weekend was his birthday.
- 33:37Speaker 1: He went around all these club performing. It was women
- 33:40Speaker 1: in the crowd holland take me hostage. This really happened
- 33:44Speaker 1: in Chicago. They were screaming, take me hostage. So you
- 33:48Speaker 1: got people on both sides of the coin. What Erica
- 33:51Speaker 1: said was pray for all he needed proud. Yeah that's right, man, Damn,
- 33:59Speaker 1: you can't do nothing thing, you know. See the thing
- 34:01Speaker 1: about it nowadays, if you don't agree with everything, everybody
- 34:06Speaker 1: else say, oh, they're gonna come for you, man, right,
- 34:10Speaker 1: They're gonna come for you, And it gives you no
- 34:13Speaker 1: leeway to have an opinion or be yourself anymore. You
- 34:18Speaker 1: have to agree with everything. You gotta agree with Peter,
- 34:21Speaker 1: You got to agree with every rights group. You gotta,
- 34:24Speaker 1: you gotta, you gotta, you gotta denounce this. You gotta
- 34:27Speaker 1: disown that person. They can't come for people now man. Yeah,
- 34:32Speaker 1: you know, yeah, and right, you're absolutely right. So she
- 34:37Speaker 1: knew she was opening herself up with criticism. But like
- 34:40Speaker 1: you said, she just said, I want peace of love
- 34:42Speaker 1: for everyone and healing for everyone and that and that
- 34:45Speaker 1: that's the girls encrued opinion. Yeah, any girls need healing
- 34:49Speaker 1: in prayer? To you need praying? Yeah, you're so right, Absolutely,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you're so right. He really got some prayer involved in
- 34:58Speaker 1: this earlier. This might have could have been a party. Yeah,
- 35:04Speaker 1: start with prayer. I know you ain't trying to be
- 35:08Speaker 1: a Christian. Yeah. Hey, we'll be right back after that.
- 35:11Speaker 1: You're listening to show. All right, guys, you've been talking
- 35:15Speaker 1: about it all morning, crazy crazy, crazy super Bowl fifty three.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Hunt you guys, don't it should be Kansas City in
- 35:22Speaker 1: the Saints. But instead, No, we shouldn't have a super Bowl.
- 35:25Speaker 1: We shouldn't even do it. We shouldn't even do it.
- 35:28Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. I don't even want to see
- 35:30Speaker 1: the game I might have. I'm gonna throw a party
- 35:32Speaker 1: that's a non super Bowl party on that Sunday. When
- 35:36Speaker 1: you come to my place. Ain't no TVs on? Yeah,
- 35:39Speaker 1: it's when you're go to my house. Ain't no TV's on.
- 35:41Speaker 1: We just kicking it. We have a party. Well if
- 35:48Speaker 1: they come out at the same time New Tacos come out. Yeah,
- 35:57Speaker 1: I never said the service was I don't even man No, man,
- 36:06Speaker 1: it really was, man all because none of the players cheated.
- 36:13Speaker 1: It's bad. The referee horrible. Hey man, let me tell
- 36:18Speaker 1: you something. They gave this boy for the Patriots to catch.
- 36:21Speaker 1: When I'm telling you it wasn't a catch. If the
- 36:26Speaker 1: nose of that ball hits the ground. Chris Hogan's come on, man,
- 36:30Speaker 1: any other time they would have called that. I don't
- 36:32Speaker 1: think they need to make up their mind about these catches.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Then when he when they had that that that kickoff
- 36:40Speaker 1: punt or whatever it was, and they say it didn't
- 36:43Speaker 1: touch it, you anxiously talk. You gotta have conclusive evidence
- 36:48Speaker 1: to overturn the ruling on the field. That's what I
- 36:51Speaker 1: didn't understand is that you you didn't go with with
- 36:54Speaker 1: the ruling on the field and a lot of angles
- 36:56Speaker 1: you saw it looked like his thumb. Man. So let
- 36:59Speaker 1: me ask you a question, guys, the credibility of the
- 37:04Speaker 1: game itself for the NFL with what the referees did
- 37:07Speaker 1: this past weekend, it's a problem. Huh, Yes it is.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Let me explain it. If players don't perform, they get cut.
- 37:19Speaker 1: If coaches don't perform, they get cut. When referees do
- 37:25Speaker 1: something like this in a game of this magnitude, they
- 37:28Speaker 1: have to be out of work. You cannot do what
- 37:32Speaker 1: you did in something that's so blatantly obvious. Well, how
- 37:37Speaker 1: is it that the blatant how is it that they
- 37:40Speaker 1: can't that they did it and got away with it.
- 37:42Speaker 1: They didn't do their job. The job and there's no
- 37:46Speaker 1: rule in place for reviewing a non call. Ok So
- 37:51Speaker 1: they just didn't make a call. You can't question. But
- 37:54Speaker 1: I think that's where we need to make the adjus. Yeah,
- 37:57Speaker 1: that's gonna have to be an adjustment, all right, Right,
- 38:00Speaker 1: these guys are mad. Okay, a pun coming up in
- 38:07Speaker 1: thirty four after the hour. We're gonna let you guys
- 38:09Speaker 1: get it out. Okay, talk more about it if you like. Well,
- 38:13Speaker 1: we'll be back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 38:18Speaker 1: back to your sports talk. So the referee, the officials
- 38:23Speaker 1: did not call the play. The worst, the most blatant
- 38:26Speaker 1: one was La Rams against the New Orleans sakes that
- 38:30Speaker 1: that was the most unbelievable no call in the history
- 38:39Speaker 1: of football games I've watched that had such a profound
- 38:44Speaker 1: It wasn't a game during the regular season. What you
- 38:46Speaker 1: got time to make up. This was a chance. Who's
- 38:50Speaker 1: going to the super Bowl? And you should not go
- 38:55Speaker 1: to the super Bowl based on that incompetence of a
- 39:00Speaker 1: referee when we got all this technology out here. I mean, man,
- 39:06Speaker 1: first of all, he didn't turn around for the play.
- 39:10Speaker 1: That's that's you know what do they call that first round?
- 39:15Speaker 1: It's more crabbing and all like, no, it's another face guarding. Okay,
- 39:23Speaker 1: he got him for face guarding. He got him for
- 39:26Speaker 1: passing the fish. And he could have got him for
- 39:28Speaker 1: helmet to helmet. Yes, they could have got him for anything.
- 39:33Speaker 1: And how they missed all of that. You didn't see that.
- 39:36Speaker 1: The dude never turn around and the ball was in that.
- 39:39Speaker 1: How you ain't see that? And you know, you know what,
- 39:42Speaker 1: we get this first down and guess what game we're
- 39:46Speaker 1: gonna start running this clock out Now it's over. He
- 39:49Speaker 1: can kneel three times. Yes, you don't get this back.
- 39:53Speaker 1: He can kneel. He can kneel three times. That was
- 39:58Speaker 1: the worst of ever seen, not in New England. The
- 40:02Speaker 1: rough in the pass against Kansas City when he didn't
- 40:06Speaker 1: even touch Brady face mask. Man, look, man, they could
- 40:10Speaker 1: have reviewed that and went, okay, my bad. I was
- 40:13Speaker 1: behind now the referee was behind him. So it looked
- 40:16Speaker 1: like he chopped down on his head right, But when
- 40:20Speaker 1: you saw the shot in the front, he hit him
- 40:22Speaker 1: dead on the back and looked at it and at it.
- 40:25Speaker 1: That's the thing I noticed about football that the minute
- 40:27Speaker 1: you touch Brady yes, Tom Brady the most with the
- 40:36Speaker 1: now listen to me, Tom Brady with a small seat,
- 40:39Speaker 1: with a small seat, listened to me. It's the Christ
- 40:42Speaker 1: of football. Yeah, you can't do that him. I don't
- 40:46Speaker 1: get it. I mean that now is the boy wanted
- 40:50Speaker 1: the greatest. Yes he is. He's very boy. Ball He balled,
- 40:54Speaker 1: he balled. Man, he the dude you want to have
- 40:57Speaker 1: at the last game, and he did his y'all. It
- 41:00Speaker 1: wasn't his fault though, know that they called that penalty
- 41:04Speaker 1: and and his old friend Donald Trump tweeted him a
- 41:07Speaker 1: congratulation then, and you know what, let's let's back up.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Brady already said they ain't friends. He already clarified that
- 41:14Speaker 1: he picks that a minute a while back. Huh, you
- 41:17Speaker 1: don't know he been walked away from Trump. So Trump
- 41:22Speaker 1: trying to get back your friends in. Well, you can't
- 41:26Speaker 1: be in the locker room with all the black people,
- 41:30Speaker 1: that's what you So do you guys think? You know?
- 41:35Speaker 1: The question came up, should Roger Goodell? Should the NFL
- 41:39Speaker 1: commissioner do a duover game for the end? I think
- 41:45Speaker 1: the Saints. I think the Saints should have been a
- 41:48Speaker 1: due over something I don't know if it's a game
- 41:51Speaker 1: or quarter, something should have changed with that changed the game.
- 41:55Speaker 1: But you know what they're not going to But you can't.
- 41:58Speaker 1: You can't make up something at rule a new rule
- 42:01Speaker 1: at the end of the game. Ain't no duovers. Do
- 42:06Speaker 1: you think maybe a coach has h you know, they're
- 42:10Speaker 1: able to throw in the red flash challenge flash challenge.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Can we let's say a ref doesn't call something because
- 42:18Speaker 1: he doesn't see it. Maybe a coach has the ability
- 42:21Speaker 1: to throw in something and say, hey, you missed, you
- 42:25Speaker 1: missed this. Get into the last two minutes of a game.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Everything gets all plays down field plays, not holding at
- 42:36Speaker 1: the line and all that. You gotta get that, but
- 42:40Speaker 1: all down flee or holding that that can be determining
- 42:44Speaker 1: factor of a game, can be reviewable in the booth.
- 42:48Speaker 1: And if that was a file that was missed and
- 42:50Speaker 1: can be assessed a right Steve, thank you. Up next,
- 42:54Speaker 1: it is a nephew switching gears with the prank phone
- 42:57Speaker 1: call for today. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey
- 43:01Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 43:04Speaker 1: About four minutes after the hour, it's my strawberry letter
- 43:07Speaker 1: for today's subjects. Ain't nothing holy about his behavior. Nothing
- 43:13Speaker 1: holy about his behavior. Yeah, but right now it is
- 43:17Speaker 1: the nephew. He's here with today's prank phone call. What
- 43:20Speaker 1: she got? Now, surely I don't know what I did
- 43:23Speaker 1: last week Friday. Oh my god, adult daycare. O. I
- 43:30Speaker 1: have gotten texts, tweets, yes, post, yes, do you name it.
- 43:37Speaker 1: This is the lady that got me. I got I
- 43:39Speaker 1: went for her, but at the latter part of it,
- 43:42Speaker 1: she actually got me. This is go ahead, call my
- 43:45Speaker 1: best friend. She called me, hollering, saying this is my
- 43:50Speaker 1: favorite prank call from the deput from now. Oh my god, man,
- 43:55Speaker 1: you ain't heard it. He is adult daycare. Hello, Hello,
- 44:01Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach miss Sharon's leave. Yes, this is Sharon,
- 44:05Speaker 1: Miss Sharon is. My name is Evan. I'm giving you
- 44:07Speaker 1: a call from adult Daycare. Okay, because daycare. My name
- 44:15Speaker 1: is Evan, and I got your number and all your
- 44:18Speaker 1: information here on file. Um, it looks like you're gonna
- 44:21Speaker 1: be joining us starting on Monday. So we're excited to
- 44:24Speaker 1: have you, and I want to just give you a
- 44:26Speaker 1: call and kind of give you the lay of the
- 44:28Speaker 1: land of what we have here and how how much
- 44:31Speaker 1: fun you're gonna have being here most of the day
- 44:34Speaker 1: with us. So for my my understanding is you're gonna
- 44:36Speaker 1: be here probably the majority of this year. What are
- 44:39Speaker 1: you talking? What are you talking about? Being there? Where?
- 44:44Speaker 1: Here at the adult daycare? Adult daycare? Where where's that?
- 44:49Speaker 1: What are you talking? Okay? Is Evan? My name? My
- 44:54Speaker 1: name is Evan, yes, ma'am. And your daughter is Diane. Diane,
- 44:59Speaker 1: that's what going you know my daughters? Yes, well, she's
- 45:02Speaker 1: the one that has You're signed up, you're gonna be
- 45:04Speaker 1: at the adult daycare. So I'm assuming she's gonna be
- 45:06Speaker 1: dropping you off every morning. And I tell you talking
- 45:09Speaker 1: about Evan Evan, Hang on a second, all right, First
- 45:12Speaker 1: of all, I don't know who you are. You don't
- 45:14Speaker 1: know who I am. I don't know how the you
- 45:18Speaker 1: know who my daughter is? But this is this is
- 45:21Speaker 1: really uh inappropriate and weird and what are you trying
- 45:25Speaker 1: to get? What do you what do you want? Do
- 45:28Speaker 1: you want money to me? Or you like a solicitor? No? No, no, no, ma'am,
- 45:32Speaker 1: No no no, not at I'm as Sharon, I'm your
- 45:35Speaker 1: daughter has signed you up to be here at the
- 45:39Speaker 1: adult daycare during the day, so he's going to I
- 45:43Speaker 1: don't know what you're talking about. There's no way she
- 45:45Speaker 1: would do that adult day here. What do I need
- 45:47Speaker 1: to don't thay care for? So? What? Well, evidently are
- 45:51Speaker 1: you home alone most of the time during the day.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Who cares if I'm home alone? Who? Why are you
- 45:56Speaker 1: asking me that you're trying to break into my house? No, man,
- 46:02Speaker 1: I don't know, miss Sharon. Okay, I'm hooked up to
- 46:07Speaker 1: that uh nine one month stuff. Than like, I could
- 46:11Speaker 1: just do a panicle right now and they'll trace this
- 46:14Speaker 1: call and they will come to you and arrest you
- 46:17Speaker 1: because you're harassing me. No, no, no, no, okay, miss Sharon,
- 46:22Speaker 1: I'm not harassing you. Your daughter Diane came in and
- 46:26Speaker 1: signed up. Yes, she signed you up for you to
- 46:29Speaker 1: go to this daycare Monday to Friday. Why, she's at work,
- 46:33Speaker 1: so she's going to be dropping you off and then
- 46:36Speaker 1: she'll pick you up in the evenings on her way
- 46:38Speaker 1: home from work. I don't know where you got that from.
- 46:41Speaker 1: I don't know who told you that. Yeah, you got
- 46:43Speaker 1: my daughter's name. And this is really freaking me out.
- 46:46Speaker 1: You know, a little bit over here, Ivan, because I
- 46:48Speaker 1: don't know why you know my name. He's on my
- 46:50Speaker 1: daughter's name. This is like the only reason I name
- 46:55Speaker 1: miss miss Sharon is because she came in and gave
- 46:58Speaker 1: all the information and she has paid for you to
- 47:01Speaker 1: come to the adult day chair on a daily Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 47:04Speaker 1: I hear what. You sound like a nice guy, you
- 47:07Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like, you're smooth, you got a
- 47:09Speaker 1: nice voice, You're you're you know, like you know what
- 47:12Speaker 1: to say. I don't know who the hell you are, though,
- 47:14Speaker 1: I don't know what you're talking about, you know what
- 47:16Speaker 1: I mean? Like, I'm not going to no daycare center.
- 47:19Speaker 1: I'm not going with a daycare center every word day
- 47:23Speaker 1: because I'm fine. Just get that through your head. There's
- 47:26Speaker 1: nothing wrong with me. I stay home, I got a dog,
- 47:29Speaker 1: I walk the dog, I go the street shopping, my
- 47:33Speaker 1: daughter comes over. Everything's signy. I don't know daycare center. Okay,
- 47:38Speaker 1: I understand what I'm saying that there is there is
- 47:40Speaker 1: there a reason why she would sign you up, ma'am.
- 47:42Speaker 1: She must do she must be looking out for your best.
- 47:46Speaker 1: You know your help. Let me ask you to let
- 47:48Speaker 1: me ask you are you single? What are you single?
- 47:51Speaker 1: Are you married? What does that have to do to anybody?
- 47:55Speaker 1: I'm not coming to no daycare center? All right, Evan, Like,
- 47:58Speaker 1: if you want to come to my house and you
- 48:00Speaker 1: want to see how I live, you can, I don't.
- 48:04Speaker 1: I'm switching this. I'm switching it up. Okay, I don't
- 48:08Speaker 1: need to come to your home. I'm more concerned about
- 48:11Speaker 1: making sure you're comfortable here at the adult day when
- 48:14Speaker 1: you get here on Monday. Yeah, I'm not coming there.
- 48:17Speaker 1: That's it. I'm not coming there because there's nothing wrong
- 48:19Speaker 1: with me. I'm not coming out of my house. But
- 48:21Speaker 1: I'll pay you one even you I don't know, Like
- 48:25Speaker 1: I like your voice. I just like your voice. And
- 48:29Speaker 1: miss way minute machine? How old you? How old you m?
- 48:35Speaker 1: I'm fifty fifty. Have you ever been with an eighty
- 48:40Speaker 1: nine year old lady? Wow? Wow? Nine? And you sound
- 48:46Speaker 1: really nice? That's tall. Like at first I was scared
- 48:49Speaker 1: of you at first, I want to be honest, I
- 48:52Speaker 1: was scared of you. And now I'm not. Like I
- 48:55Speaker 1: don't know why, I'm just not you know what I mean?
- 48:58Speaker 1: Like you just sound nice. Yeah I know who you are.
- 49:02Speaker 1: But okay, so wow, will you be there at like you?
- 49:10Speaker 1: Because I like to meet you. I'll be at the
- 49:14Speaker 1: daycare when you arrive on Monday. But I mean not, um,
- 49:20Speaker 1: Miss Sharon, I won't be able to only I like that,
- 49:24Speaker 1: Miss Sharon. That's nice. Oh ahead, gohead, Okay, So should
- 49:30Speaker 1: I should I reach out to Diane about this? Allure
- 49:36Speaker 1: reach out to Okay, Well, you're not gonna ok yeah,
- 49:40Speaker 1: go ahead. You're not gonna come in Monday. I'm right,
- 49:43Speaker 1: I'm I'm I don't know. You're gonna be very just
- 49:46Speaker 1: late the Sharon. It's not about me. It's about you
- 49:50Speaker 1: coming in and you're gonna this is where you're gonna be, uh,
- 49:54Speaker 1: Monday through Friday from h all right. You know there's
- 49:58Speaker 1: there's there's there's other people. You're age here, there's there's
- 50:01Speaker 1: a lot of ladies, you're aging a lot of me
- 50:03Speaker 1: in your age here. I'm not in the ladies. I'm
- 50:06Speaker 1: not in late. I didn't I'm not trying. Yeah, not
- 50:09Speaker 1: into it. I'm I'm into you, okay. Um yeah, I
- 50:14Speaker 1: think it's a situation like your your daughter doesn't want
- 50:17Speaker 1: you to be by yourself. Yea, who you could I
- 50:22Speaker 1: call you back? Can I call you back? Yeah? Let
- 50:25Speaker 1: me call you back. Let me call you back. In
- 50:27Speaker 1: a couple of minutes. I'm on the shore and I
- 50:30Speaker 1: got pulled my off of the thing. This is the
- 50:34Speaker 1: first this is ever happened to me. Okay, uh, miss Sharon,
- 50:39Speaker 1: can I tell you who I am? I am Matthew
- 50:43Speaker 1: telling me from the Steve Arby Morning Show. Your daughter
- 50:46Speaker 1: Diane got me the prank. Call you, but I promise
- 50:49Speaker 1: you you're different. You're I promise you. I'm different. I
- 50:56Speaker 1: promise you I'm different. You're related to Steve her being
- 51:00Speaker 1: like the guy on TV. Out of here. He is
- 51:05Speaker 1: gorgeous and called me back. All right, call me sorry,
- 51:10Speaker 1: all right, Okay, I love you. Oh my god, boy,
- 51:17Speaker 1: boy boy, can I tell you control I've been my man,
- 51:25Speaker 1: been telling you somebody to get your way here? All right,
- 51:29Speaker 1: I'm saying this man, Thank you God, Thank you so much. Lord.
- 51:35Speaker 1: She sure didn't sound eighty three though, or he didn't
- 51:40Speaker 1: eighty nine. I mean yeah, she didn't sound like he
- 51:46Speaker 1: doesn't sound like a man, didn't sound like I'm like you.
- 51:49Speaker 1: I'm like you who called me back? Okay, I like
- 51:54Speaker 1: how you sound. Emmon, you're gonna be there. At first,
- 51:58Speaker 1: I was afraid of you first. Oh all right, thank
- 52:06Speaker 1: your nephew. Coming up next to this Today's Strawberry letter subject,

- 52:44Speaker 1: Letter subject ain't nothing holy about his behavior. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 52:50Speaker 1: My family has a church that they've been going to
- 52:53Speaker 1: all their life, and I recently joined. I decided to
- 52:58Speaker 1: devote my life to fellowship and service at this church.
- 53:01Speaker 1: My pastor is great, but I always thought he was
- 53:04Speaker 1: a bit creepy because of the strange relationship he has
- 53:08Speaker 1: with my cousins. I have been watching them for a while,
- 53:11Speaker 1: and then in a stewardship meeting, my pastor mistakenly called
- 53:15Speaker 1: my cousin babe or babe and she blushed. Immediately after
- 53:20Speaker 1: the meeting, I asked my cousin what's up with her
- 53:22Speaker 1: in the pastor and she got all awkward and tried
- 53:25Speaker 1: to lie at first, but then she ended up spilling
- 53:28Speaker 1: the beans. I was devastated. My heart dropped, and I
- 53:32Speaker 1: couldn't believe what she had told me. She swore me
- 53:35Speaker 1: to secrecy, but I don't care about her feelings. I
- 53:38Speaker 1: care about the pastor's wife's feelings because she is ill
- 53:42Speaker 1: and I have the utmost respect for her as the
- 53:44Speaker 1: first lady of the church. Now, my family is whispering
- 53:48Speaker 1: about them messing around, and I'm having a hard time
- 53:51Speaker 1: acting naive. When they mentioned it. Two weeks ago, she
- 53:55Speaker 1: missed church and the pastor pulled me to the side
- 53:57Speaker 1: and asked, where's my friend today. I guess my cousin
- 54:01Speaker 1: has shared with him that I'm in on their little secret.
- 54:05Speaker 1: He grosses me out now, and I want to find
- 54:07Speaker 1: a new church home. My grandmother told me that I
- 54:10Speaker 1: need to just focus on God and that's it. She said,
- 54:13Speaker 1: God will take care of my cousin and the pastor.
- 54:16Speaker 1: I still want to leave this church, but I enjoy
- 54:18Speaker 1: Sundays with my family. I'm so conflicted. What should I do?
- 54:23Speaker 1: Please advise? Wow, Well, first I have to tell you
- 54:28Speaker 1: this that God isn't just at that one church. God
- 54:32Speaker 1: is everywhere. Okay, I do agree with your grandmother. She's right.
- 54:37Speaker 1: You do need to focus on God when you're at church,
- 54:40Speaker 1: and God will take care of your cousin and the pastor.
- 54:44Speaker 1: But I still see no reason for you to check
- 54:47Speaker 1: out another church if you just can't stomach going to
- 54:51Speaker 1: your family church any longer since you found out the
- 54:53Speaker 1: news about your cousin and the pastor. You also have
- 54:56Speaker 1: to know that just like there's mess going on a
- 55:00Speaker 1: church church, there's mess at a whole bunch of churches. Okay,
- 55:04Speaker 1: I mean there's mess at other churches too. I mean
- 55:07Speaker 1: you just have to know that. Remember, pastors are human,
- 55:10Speaker 1: they are mere mortals and they're not God. Okay, even
- 55:14Speaker 1: though we do hold them to a higher standard of church,
- 55:16Speaker 1: we do put them on a pedestal. But you know,
- 55:20Speaker 1: if you don't want to leave, and you do want
- 55:22Speaker 1: to enjoy Sundays with your family, you're going to have
- 55:25Speaker 1: to not judge and do like your grandmother said, take
- 55:28Speaker 1: her advice and let God deal with that, um, you know,
- 55:32Speaker 1: with handling the situation with your pastor and your cousin.
- 55:37Speaker 1: If you're no longer getting fed there. That's something different. Then,
- 55:41Speaker 1: of course, you know, go to a different church. But
- 55:43Speaker 1: I see no reason for you to check out a
- 55:45Speaker 1: different church if you just can't stand to be in
- 55:48Speaker 1: their presence. You know, if that's if that's not what
- 55:51Speaker 1: you're into, I definitely can support you in that. Steve, well, well, well,
- 55:59Speaker 1: if it ain't green Leafy, we on own network. Now,
- 56:10Speaker 1: don't do this to me. You did it to yourself.
- 56:13Speaker 1: My family has a church they've been going to all
- 56:16Speaker 1: that life the whole time. My pastor is great, But
- 56:20Speaker 1: it didn't take long see this statement my pastor is great,
- 56:25Speaker 1: but it usually take a little bit longer for a
- 56:28Speaker 1: person to say, but but my pastor great. But let
- 56:32Speaker 1: me just this woman trying to get to this damn letter.
- 56:36Speaker 1: I always thought he was a bit creepy because of
- 56:39Speaker 1: a strange relationship he has with my cousin. Now, let's see,
- 56:45Speaker 1: when you say strange relationship with your cousin, I'm assuming
- 56:50Speaker 1: your cousin is a female. So what is this strangeness
- 56:56Speaker 1: that you've noticed. I've been watching him for Oh wow,
- 57:02Speaker 1: it's when you know you had one of them churches.
- 57:04Speaker 1: I was at a stewardess ship meeting. Now, what is that? Shurely? Well, um,
- 57:10Speaker 1: you know, I guess I don't know. It tells you
- 57:11Speaker 1: how to be a good steward's over what you have.
- 57:14Speaker 1: I don't know anybody know what a stewardess ship meeting me.
- 57:18Speaker 1: I'dn't been on no meet. I've been a couple deacon boy,
- 57:22Speaker 1: I don't remember having that. I've been down there to
- 57:24Speaker 1: her planning and committed me. I guess everybody who has
- 57:28Speaker 1: been the building fun leadership. Yeah, I would have been
- 57:32Speaker 1: the choir rehearsal. Yeah, it's i'dn't been in the past's
- 57:35Speaker 1: office for cussing. You've done an what was that last
- 57:41Speaker 1: office cussing? Oh? Yeah, y'all had to go. And there's
- 57:45Speaker 1: quite a few. I've been in that probably six times
- 57:47Speaker 1: about cussing brother Stevie's mouth. Oh, Stevie, this is when
- 57:52Speaker 1: you were younger. Yeah. I was relieved, But dude, I'm
- 57:57Speaker 1: still going there now, but I probably won't go. Wow. Anyway,
- 58:02Speaker 1: they had a stewardesship meeting. I don't know if they're
- 58:05Speaker 1: practicing past now peanuts in there. I don't know what
- 58:08Speaker 1: they're doing that the stewardship. It's it's it's vocations at
- 58:12Speaker 1: the church. Okay, so if you're over a certain ministry
- 58:16Speaker 1: or something, all right. Anyway, my pastor mistakenly called my
- 58:20Speaker 1: cousin babe or babe, and she blushed. He had have
- 58:24Speaker 1: lost his damn he didn't got so damn com So,
- 58:28Speaker 1: so what about you, babe, I mean sister Polo, I
- 58:33Speaker 1: mean babe. First, first, lady friend, I'm sorry, the head
- 58:40Speaker 1: of the usher board. Oh, he tried to come back
- 58:42Speaker 1: up out of that. So what about you, babe, I
- 58:44Speaker 1: mean usher board leader, I mean committee chair. So anyway,
- 58:51Speaker 1: immediately after the meeting, I asked my cousin what was
- 58:53Speaker 1: up with her in the pastor? Now you know what
- 58:56Speaker 1: was up? Because you've always thought the man was creepy,
- 58:59Speaker 1: because it is relationship you had with your cousin. This
- 59:03Speaker 1: has been going on. She got all awkward and tried
- 59:05Speaker 1: to lie first, then she just ended up. I was devastated.
- 59:08Speaker 1: She spilled the beans. I was devastating. My heart dropped.
- 59:12Speaker 1: I couldn't believe what she told me. She swore me
- 59:14Speaker 1: to secrecy. But I don't care about her feelings. I
- 59:17Speaker 1: care about the passive feelings pastor's wife feeling because she
- 59:21Speaker 1: is ill oh, pastor wife sick. That ain't what she is.
- 59:26Speaker 1: This ain't all a little bit. Yeah, this ain't that.
- 59:28Speaker 1: She ain't got a cold. Pastor wife is ill. She
- 59:32Speaker 1: got a condition. That ain't what it is. Pastor wife
- 59:38Speaker 1: got something wrong with it. We're gonna have to guess
- 59:40Speaker 1: what that is. We don't know, you know, Junior, Do
- 59:43Speaker 1: it sound like sicker sill to you? No? It a jay?
- 59:49Speaker 1: Do it sound like diabetes to you? All right, covered
- 59:54Speaker 1: them too. We got damn her to sound like she
- 59:58Speaker 1: ignorant to you that conditions on this show. We'll be
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: back with part two of Stevens responds to twenty three
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: after the hour you're listening, Let's recap today's strawberry letter
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: and come on, Steve. Right, this woman had been going
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: to this family one family had been going to this
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: church for years. She decided she wanted to join the
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: church and serve her time and fellowship and service to God.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: But she had been having weird feelings about to pass.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: And because the way he act with a cousin. They're
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: in a stewardship meeting learning some up in there and
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: he mess Roy and call a band baby, So she
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: confronted him. She confronted her after the thing and ask
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: her what was up. She tried to lie. Then she
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: spilled all the beans. Didn't the lady said that she
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: spilled the beans. She said. I was devastated. My heart dropped.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I can't believe what she told him. She swore me
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: to secrecy. I didn't care about her feelings. I came
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: about to pass a white feeling because she's ill. Now,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: we don't went over the show. We didn't find out
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: that it end ain't sick or sale now and we
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: found out it ain't diabeting, and Thomas says she ain't
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: suffering from igness. That's not an illness. I'm going over
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: all the stuff that wrong with the people on the show.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I'm crazy, So it don't sound like crazy to me. Yeah, Shirley,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: she sounds bullshie to you, Okay, so she ain't bulliess
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: college doesn't sound like she's suffering from an overdosehood overdo
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: sound like she country is hell come home Mississippi. Okay, cool,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: She don't have none of that, so we will not
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: know what's wrong with the first round. Now my family
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: is whispering about them messing around, and I'm having a
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: hard time acting naive when they mentioned it. Well, your
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: family been whispering about them messing around. It's just you
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: just became a member of the church and now you
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: priv it to the inside information. They've been thinking this
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: for a long time. You just came to the party. Girl.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: You ain't gotta act naive, ain't no. Two weeks ago
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: she missed church in the past and pulled me to
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: the side and as we're my little friend at the day. Wow, well,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I guess my cousin that shared with him that I'm

- 1:14:11Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right. The National Football League
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: has announced that our very own, our fearless leader, Steve
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Harvey will host the twenty nineteen NFL Honors Awards show
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: that's going down Saturday, February second of the Fox Theater
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: in Atlanta. Yes, congratulations, Steve. I'm just gonna say this,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: being from Cleveland, they don't give a Rookie of the
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Year to Baker Mayfield. I know st com sa Quon
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: Barkley's up forward and he's everything as advertised that he
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: would be plus some. If they don't give it to
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield, I'm kicked the podium. Well do it, though
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: they're blame it on a referee. The NFL Honors um,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: they've been hosted on the eve of the Super Bowls
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: since its inception back in twenty and twelve. Among the
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: awards that will be presented Steve or the Associated Press

- 1:15:10Speaker 1: and the Touchdown Celebration of the Year. So I gotta
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: ask you, Steve, are you excited. I know you're excited
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: about Baker. Yeah, got an eight minute monologue I got

- 1:15:58Speaker 1: I got it? Oh yeah, yeah, what you're gonna wear?
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: That's my question to you. He gonna be butter shot

- 1:16:37Speaker 1: know Cam Newton is gonna be there right. Oh yeah,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: that's my dude. I can't my blue cheese war hes
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: gonna be he gonna be stink sharp. Okay, you're gonna
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: what big you're gonna wear? Wy don't they don't come
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: in my side. That's only for now. I'm gonna be kay,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna be there. He gonna be clean, don't forget.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna get to meet some people man I've always
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: wanted to meet though Maniel I ain't always wanted to
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: meet him, but since he's Cleveland boy, I got to
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: give him some love. Can I can? I tell you
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: what I think? This is only real to just meet
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: me and you talking. Let me tell you what I
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: think this is. I think this is the beginning of
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: you getting the spiece. That's what I think. This is,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: like hosting the aspect. Yes, it does for you. You wait, like, yeah,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I don't know how they asked me. I know, I know,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: but you're gonna get it. You're gonna get I'm surprised
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: about a lot of stuff. But but let me tell
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: you something man, you're gonna get this year? What God
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: doing for me? Whoa claim? I'm telling you, man, what
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: God I've been doing for me this year. Man, I'm
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: trying to tell you. Man, I know, but I'm just
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: sitting here in my life in expectation. Yeah, big big dog,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: let me tell him this is my thing for twenty nineteen.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: Quit fighting God and let him do what he do. Yeah,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: that's it. We're talking to yourself. I'm talking to myself. Quick,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: fighting God and let him do I played sometimes. No,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: I wouldn't say Timmy was fighting me, but he's guilty
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: of what many of us are guilt. He was in
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: the way. I've been in my way a long dog.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Sometimes we get in the way because we want it
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: to happen the way we wanted. But a woman told
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: me one time, she said, you can't tell God how
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: to blessure, how to bless you. That's right now. See.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: And if you're gonna keep on telling him, you're gonna
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: find yourself short a lot of time because he might
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: have had something big and better plan. But since that's
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: what you're asked for and you believe here that's what
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: you track, you gotta do those two things. You gotta
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: trust them and then you gotta have faith. Yeah. I
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: just love what God is doing in your life on
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: the Steve. So every time he does something like you
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: turn around, tap me down, it does. What I'm coming
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: out with this shirt, I can't probably can't tell everybody stealing,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: but it's about faith here. Well, it's about faith. Got
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: it coming out, and I got another one coming out.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: But boy, I just gonna inspired people. I'm help my
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: foundation because I'm desperately mad trying to get to the point. Well,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: I can touch one hundred thousand boys a year. Wow,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: one hundred thousand, not two hundred and fifty. I got
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: it up to two hundred and fifty right now now.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: I started with fifty, then one hundred in one seventy five.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: I got it up two hundred and fifty boys right now,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: you know. But yeah, I talked about mentoring yesterday too,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: on MLK Day. You know, we talked about it yesterday.
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: This is so big what you're doing, Steve, because it's
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: important man, that we that I do this, and it's
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: important that all of us do it. But you know
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: we're gonna get that done. Man. This year is just
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: going to be such an exciting year for me because
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I'm going to I'm reinventing myself this year. I'm in
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: the process of reinventing myself. This year. I'm going God
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: has taken me to a place I've never been. It's
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: gonna appear to be one thing to the masses, and
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: they're gonna make comments about it. But all when they
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: see hide on foe. Oh Lord, oh Lord, because I'm
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: already faced with people that's that's making plans about me,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: to think they got me stopped. That's already taking place.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: But ain't I seen this before? Yeah? See, I've seen
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: this whole show before. But God has never ever forsaken me.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: He ain't ever one time left me out there blowing
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: in the wind. Ever. Can I say something to you,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: You can get fired from your job, but you can't
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: get fired from your gift. And as long as you
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: got your gift, you can go anywhere in the world.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: They don't know that, don't time it. See, they think
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: that they that they have a say soul. People actually
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: think they have a say soul in your life, and
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: they really don't unless you give them permission. If you
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: don't give a person permission to have a say so
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: in your life, or give them a permission to bring
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: about change in your life. They can't. And I give
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: no one that position. Yeah, you from your job, but
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: you can't get fired from your gift. I just thought that,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: I like, not what more? This is crazy ingorant showing
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: out these crazy ingorant people. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we've been talking
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: about the super Bowl, the Big Game all day U
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: and a ludicrous surprised some students with super Bowl tickets.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: This went down in Atlanta. Two lucky students, Yeah, from
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta received the surprise of
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: a lifetime. Really nice huh. And a video clip, Ludacris

- 1:26:06Speaker 1: you have an announcement you'd like to bank. I am
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: running for president of the United States, and I'm very
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: excited about it. I'm very excited about it. She made
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: an announcement where on Good Morning American. Okay, yeah, and
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: it's such it is such an inspiration to young girl's
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: black White run resident. It is great, It is great. Yes.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: Senator Harris says she hopes to become the first African
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: American woman to leave the country. She believes she has
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: the best chance to unseat President Trump, and I certainly,
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: I certainly hope that is the case. Yeah, don't don't
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: get in the race unless you think you can really
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: be here. And I'm gonna tell you clearly, we cannot
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: do eight years of this, dude, we have it's this
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: too much ignorance. Man, We've got to stop this. Yeah.
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: I can't see a republic. I can't see him in
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: an office again, I can't see. And the Democrats have
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: got to put forward the right candidate. Uh, there's gonna
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: be a crowded feel, it's gonna be packed. And of
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: course you're gonna have to go through the primaries. Yeah,
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: and you got to have primaries to see how they
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: stack up, because you got to come through the primaries.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: And you got to raise the money. Yeah, you got
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: to raise the money. Yeah. Some people are still hoping
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: that Joe Biden Olden make an announcement, Beata or Rourke
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: from down in Texas. Ever, anybody if the field is
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: already crowded. But um, you know, hey, if you now,
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: let me tell you something I don't know about her. Man,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: you know, when she started sounding crazy, she did two
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: crazy things. Uh, being a native of American, they're gonna
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: eat her live for that. But when she did that
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: video talking directly, made a selfie video and then said
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna get a beer. Yeah, I'm gonna just get
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: a bear and you'll get a chance to pull that up.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: If you want to see something look real unnatural. Elizabeth
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: One talking to a Kemp Steve. Yeah, when I do them,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: I look stupid. I ain't never done a self and
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: I went, yeah, that's the one. But dog. Some people
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: were saying that was a takeoff of um. I think
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: it was George Bush. George W. Bush said something about, um,
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: he looks like a person. People were saying, look like
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: a person that you could have a beer with you.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: I don't know that's what they say she did that.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: Nobody got that. These people that's able to vote now,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: they weren't old enough member that. Hell, I'm old, I
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: don't I don't remember it. I don't know you you're
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: listening to them saying that was a takeoff it. But
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: when you saw her drink the bear that you know
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: that's no, No, I didn't get get it, let it
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: get it. She just came across looking wrong. And when
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: she talks, she talks angry. And what you're not gonna
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: do is beat this dude with anger, because he gonna
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: come back and beat you with ignorance. Yeah, because he's
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: a bully. Yeah, he'll go even angrier. Yeah. Yeah. The
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: Democratic field is crowded. Yeah, so we'll see. But that's okay.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: So was the Republican field against Hillary, you know. Yeah,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: So anyway, all right, Uh, we'll come back and close
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: out the show with our last break of the day
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: and Steve's closing remarks right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: Here we are, last break of the day. Good day,
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: h Yeah. The party, Yeah, about the football game, the
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: big game party. Party. Already bought the wings, they're already frozen.
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: The tacos too late. Leg always put your orders in now,
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: but Stevens always take us home inspired, please and enlighten. Yeah,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: you know, I want to talk to you today about
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: something that I've implemented into this year. I'll be doing
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: it all year long. But we've been talking about expectations
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: and how to expect a great year. In order to
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: have it, you got to expected. But one of the
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: things in order to get to where you're going, you
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: need these two things. You need faith and execution. Faith
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: and execution. Now there's a scripture that bags that up,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: that says faith without works is dead. We've all heard that.
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: But let me let me help you out there focusing
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: the way I've had to learn how to focus it. Faith,
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: first of all, is the belief in things that you
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: cannot see. It takes no faith to say I'm gonna
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: make it across the street. You can see the other
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: side if you got to wait on the light or
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: just check and make sure traffic is clear. The average
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: person can make it across the street. But if you
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: in New York and you say I'm gonna make it
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: to Hong Kong, oh, we operating more than that. Now
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: we're gonna need a little faith to do that. If
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: you say one day I'm gonna I'm gonna take my
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: family to Africa, that's gonna require some faith. If you
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: say one day, I'm gonna lift myself from the ranks
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: of poverty and I'm going to become a wealthy person.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: That's going to require some faith. If you say I'm
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: out of shape right now and I'm gonna get myself
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: into shape, that's going to require some faith because a
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: lot of us ain't seen ourselves in shape in a
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: long time. So in order for us who's trying to
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: get in shape, it's gonna take some faith. Now, because
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: faith is the belief in things that you cannot see.
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: When I look in the mirror night right now, I
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: don't see exactly what I want to see. So it's
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: gonna take me some faith because I gotta believe in
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: something I can't see. Right now, you understand, I'm just
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: telling you what faith is. Faith is a belief in
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: things that you cannot see. But faith with our works
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: is dead. So now we need the combination as we
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: go forward of faith and execution. We have got to
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: put in a plan, implement a plan of execution to
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: compliment the faith. Now here's the thing about execution. It
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: may have to change sometime. Here's what doesn't change. The faith,
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: The faith and the belief in the goal, The faith
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: and the belief in the target, The faith and the
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: belief of the unseen. That doesn't change. But the execution
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: has to have variables because there are no straight lines
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: in nature. There are no straight lines in nature. If
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: you look at mountains, if you look at grass, if
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: you look at the clouds, if you look at the ocean,
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: if you look at the ripples of the waves, if
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: you look at the sanddones, if you look at cliffs,
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: if you look at the desert, if you look at
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: the metals that blow with wheat feels, if you look
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: at farmland, if you look at hills, metals, valleys, whatever
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: you look at, ain't no straight lines in nature. The
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: most beautiful things in nature all have shape and form. Rivers, oceans, lakes,
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: everything has been shaped to form. There are no straight
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: lines in nature. So the most beautiful things have shape
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: and form and contools and valleys and peaks and rises
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: and levels. And that's what your success is gonna have
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: to be in levels. You have got to get to
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: understanding that in your execution. It has to vary from
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: time to time. You're gonna have to roll with it.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: You're got to go with the flow. Sometimes you're gonna
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: have to stop and turn around. You have to do
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: it all man to get to where you're going. The
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: faith never changes. The execution has variables to it. Expect
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: for things to go wrong along the way because they will.
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: Don't be so surprised everything every time something happened, things
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: are going to happen. You can expect setbacks to present theirselfs.
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: You don't change the faith part of it. You just
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: may have to change the execution. You might have to
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: go around, you may have to go under, you may
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: have to go over, you may have to plow through.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: You may have to shut it down and sit still
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: for a minute. The road to success is always under construction.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: Ain't no straight lines in nature, y'all. Faith and execution
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: will make your year. The year you wanted to be.
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: Faith without works is dead. Prepare to put into work.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: Those are my closing remarks. Those are my opening remarks.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: Those will get your day started the right way. Okay,
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: well did you drop that? You dropped? No, that's how
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: you do it. Y'all. Have a great week for all.
