- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit looking back to back down, giving them more
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the milking buck. Things in its tubbs not doing
- 0:19Speaker 1: me true good it Steve to move together for ste Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me to be you doing me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta turn you, you gotta turn to turn them out,
- 1:42Speaker 1: turn you love, got to turn them out. Then turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water got me? Come? Come on your
- 1:58Speaker 1: baby got it? Uh huh? I show will a good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody you're listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got this radio show. Man,
- 2:15Speaker 1: Hi got here. I really can't explain it. Only by
- 2:19Speaker 1: the grace of God, that's all I can really tell you.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I was talking with a buddy the other day and
- 2:26Speaker 1: he was telling me. He said, Man, he had an
- 2:28Speaker 1: interesting philosophy about it. He said. You know, you can
- 2:32Speaker 1: have dreams and visions, he say, but God, God will
- 2:37Speaker 1: never show you what all he has for you. He
- 2:43Speaker 1: won't show you all of it because he knows you
- 2:46Speaker 1: will mess it up. And you know what, man, I
- 2:50Speaker 1: thought about that, And wow, how true is that? Okay?
- 2:55Speaker 1: I know that I got a radio show I didn't
- 2:59Speaker 1: see it. It's just become this major blessing for me.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I didn't see it. But if I would have seen
- 3:06Speaker 1: it and known when he had planned on giving it
- 3:10Speaker 1: to me, I would have messed it up, because number one,
- 3:14Speaker 1: my first question would have been to him, why I
- 3:16Speaker 1: got to wait so long? Why don't I go down
- 3:20Speaker 1: hill and start on the radio now, and then I
- 3:25Speaker 1: be in radio and then tidy see that God? But
- 3:29Speaker 1: see the thing about God is God don't need your
- 3:31Speaker 1: help a matter of fact that he don't really want it.
- 3:35Speaker 1: All he want is you to love him and obey him.
- 3:39Speaker 1: If you can do them two things I think. I
- 3:41Speaker 1: think I could be wrong. I think he'd be really
- 3:44Speaker 1: cool with us. So had I known about these blessings
- 3:49Speaker 1: that he had for me, I would have messed him
- 3:52Speaker 1: up because I would have put my thinking in the
- 3:54Speaker 1: figuring process, and that would have jacked it all up.
- 3:58Speaker 1: That's the first thing I asked him, why I gotta
- 4:00Speaker 1: wait so long? And then if he has shown me
- 4:03Speaker 1: what I was gonna have to do to get it,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I would have showed messed that up. Man, I ain't
- 4:08Speaker 1: gonna do that. I ain't even to do all of that,
- 4:11Speaker 1: wait a minute. I got to go through all of
- 4:13Speaker 1: these mishaps in my life. So when I get the
- 4:17Speaker 1: radio show, I have something to share. Man, why don't
- 4:22Speaker 1: I just read a couple of books and share that
- 4:24Speaker 1: experience with them? Now, See, I want you to know
- 4:27Speaker 1: what you're talking about. I want you to be transparent.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I want people to be able to identify with your
- 4:35Speaker 1: struggle and apply they struggle to it and see that
- 4:37Speaker 1: they can get over. See. God never shows you all
- 4:43Speaker 1: of it because he know will mess it up. I
- 4:46Speaker 1: wouldn't have any books, I certainly please know, I would
- 4:50Speaker 1: not be the host of Family Field. Can't tell you that.
- 4:54Speaker 1: It is amazing man, how God works. And my invitation
- 4:59Speaker 1: to everybody today is allow God to work. You know,
- 5:04Speaker 1: you can ask him why all you want to, And
- 5:06Speaker 1: from time to time, I still do no good for me.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But that old why me, old woe is me? Lord?
- 5:12Speaker 1: Thing that don't really get it for me, because when
- 5:15Speaker 1: I start asking him why, I'm asking somebody who has
- 5:18Speaker 1: a thought process so high above mine that there's no
- 5:21Speaker 1: way if he told it to me, I wouldn't even
- 5:23Speaker 1: get it. You wouldn't need I don't how bright you
- 5:26Speaker 1: think you are, man, You just ain't gonna get how
- 5:29Speaker 1: and why he does it his way. You're not going
- 5:31Speaker 1: to understand it. But he has a plan for each
- 5:35Speaker 1: and every one of us. And if we adhere to
- 5:37Speaker 1: the plan, if we submit ourselves to his will and
- 5:40Speaker 1: just say, okay, God, what you want me to do,
- 5:42Speaker 1: I am telling you it is the best way to live. Now.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You can also do it the way I did it
- 5:49Speaker 1: early on. You can just do what you want to
- 5:52Speaker 1: do and see how I go from now. And I
- 5:55Speaker 1: will tell you from personal experience, it's not going to
- 5:58Speaker 1: go good. You know, my wife and I were talking
- 6:03Speaker 1: the other day and she said something women. I had
- 6:05Speaker 1: to write it down. She says, Steve, you know the
- 6:08Speaker 1: funny thing about sin? She says, sin casts you more
- 6:12Speaker 1: than you want to pay and causes you to stay
- 6:15Speaker 1: longer than you want to stay. I ask, my word,
- 6:20Speaker 1: where she got di from. She says, some old person
- 6:23Speaker 1: told it to it. She says, sin casts you more
- 6:26Speaker 1: than you want to pay and causes you to stay
- 6:29Speaker 1: longer than you want to stay. That's the problem, man,
- 6:32Speaker 1: about doing what you want to do. Because we are
- 6:35Speaker 1: all sinners, man, all of us, all of us, every
- 6:38Speaker 1: last one of us are sinners. You will be a
- 6:40Speaker 1: sinner until you die. Now, you could be saved by grace,
- 6:44Speaker 1: but you're going to be a sinner man. You are
- 6:46Speaker 1: going to make mistakes. You are going to in your
- 6:50Speaker 1: life knowingly, knowingly do wrong. I bet you will. I
- 6:57Speaker 1: don't know who you think you are. I don't know
- 6:59Speaker 1: who you've been listening to. But get this, we are sinners.
- 7:03Speaker 1: We were born into a world that is sinful. Now
- 7:08Speaker 1: it's okay, it's okay, it's our world. But we can
- 7:12Speaker 1: make the best of it because we can form a
- 7:14Speaker 1: relationship with God and we can go to war with
- 7:17Speaker 1: this thing, you know, and we can win. You can
- 7:19Speaker 1: actually get over. Being born into this world is not
- 7:24Speaker 1: an end all. That doesn't mean you're doomed, nah man,
- 7:28Speaker 1: because God is available to give you life, and not
- 7:31Speaker 1: only give you life, but give it to you more abundantly.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I have more of an abundant life than I've ever had.
- 7:38Speaker 1: If you took away the finances, trust and believe, I
- 7:43Speaker 1: have so many things I could tell you that I'm
- 7:45Speaker 1: grateful for. For my wife, for my children, man, for
- 7:50Speaker 1: my family, for the few friends that I have, for
- 7:55Speaker 1: the work that I do, man for the respect that
- 7:59Speaker 1: some people that I feel around some people from the
- 8:02Speaker 1: reputation I've earned. Now, I ain't cool with everybody. I
- 8:06Speaker 1: got that I'm cool. I ain't cool with everybody. Everybody
- 8:09Speaker 1: ain't cool with me. Everybody don't like me. Man, get
- 8:12Speaker 1: past that right there. I don't care what you do.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Everybody ain't gonna like you. Some people didn't like Jesus.
- 8:18Speaker 1: What did he do? What did he do wrong to anybody?
- 8:25Speaker 1: Show it to me where he was just out there,
- 8:28Speaker 1: just messing over folks, and you could justify all that
- 8:31Speaker 1: happened to him. Just show it to me. But he
- 8:34Speaker 1: knew everybody ain't gonna like me. I just come to
- 8:38Speaker 1: save y'all understand. I got you. Ain't feeling me. You're
- 8:42Speaker 1: gonna spit on me, You're gonna hang me up there,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you're gonna pierce my side. You're gonna do all that
- 8:47Speaker 1: to me. When you get through, I still love you.
- 8:50Speaker 1: That's a powerful statement. Man. I'm not there yet. I
- 8:54Speaker 1: can't make that statement yet. I'm not there. I'm in
- 8:58Speaker 1: a process. I'm striving to get better, but I can't
- 9:01Speaker 1: make that statement. I don't really know nobody who could
- 9:04Speaker 1: make that statement. Marn Luther King was pretty good at it.
- 9:07Speaker 1: But I'm pretty sure he has some moments too well.
- 9:10Speaker 1: He just wasn't for all that pushing and spitting me.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I ain't ever for it. But then at the same time,
- 9:19Speaker 1: I have gotten better though. I have learned to let
- 9:23Speaker 1: God handle situations, and I am getting better at it.
- 9:27Speaker 1: If I could tell you what people have done to
- 9:30Speaker 1: me this year, and I've done nothing in retaliation to
- 9:34Speaker 1: those people, nothing, not one thing in retaliation to those people.
- 9:39Speaker 1: And I've sat by and I've watched God handle it
- 9:41Speaker 1: all very neatly for me, and in a way that
- 9:46Speaker 1: I didn't even think was doable. God will take care
- 9:50Speaker 1: of you if you form this relationship with him. He
- 9:54Speaker 1: has something for you. He has a plan for you
- 9:58Speaker 1: that is beyond your imagination. He will give you the
- 10:01Speaker 1: desires of your heart. But He also has some stuff
- 10:04Speaker 1: in store for you that you're not even asking for.
- 10:07Speaker 1: That He is willing to ship to an address that
- 10:12Speaker 1: belongs to you as long as you stay on the
- 10:16Speaker 1: right path and are trying your best. God to ship
- 10:19Speaker 1: you to blessing anyway, Because please know He's done it
- 10:22Speaker 1: to me. I'm a living witness to this that God
- 10:24Speaker 1: will ship you blessings and you ain't gonna be perfect.
- 10:27Speaker 1: But if he know your heart, man, if he know
- 10:30Speaker 1: you trying to do better, if he see you trying
- 10:32Speaker 1: to change, if he see you trying to get it right,
- 10:35Speaker 1: he understands that you're gonna stumble all the way through
- 10:39Speaker 1: this thing. But if he know your heart and he
- 10:42Speaker 1: know you trying to get it right, and you're doing
- 10:45Speaker 1: the best you can. Boy, here ships some stuff your way. Man,
- 10:48Speaker 1: you really be tripping, man, you would really be tripping.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, it's crazy. Aint it?
- 10:57Speaker 1: You're listening to ladies and gentlemen. Man, have your attention, please,
- 11:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show us underweight. Uh, we are here.
- 11:09Speaker 1: It's own and cracking. Make no mistake about sugar strawberry. Oops. Hey, oops,
- 11:16Speaker 1: my Microsoft, Good morning Carlin for rel Hello, what's up? Croup?
- 11:26Speaker 1: I'm back? What up? Junior? Morning up? Morner back? What up? Jay?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Watch that Dner? Steve? Big dog it dog riding in
- 11:39Speaker 1: little building? How you feel? I feel like? Um? You know,
- 11:46Speaker 1: I'm grateful, man, I really am. You know. I had
- 11:50Speaker 1: a couple of meetings didn't go jess like I wanted
- 11:52Speaker 1: them too. But it never does. It never does leta
- 11:59Speaker 1: ask you something. When you send the meetings that they
- 12:00Speaker 1: always go like you older, they never do. I don't
- 12:04Speaker 1: know what I thought was gonna happen different, But I'm grateful. Man,
- 12:09Speaker 1: I'm in a great position. Life is filled with opportunities.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I'm amassing them all and I'm about to get on
- 12:16Speaker 1: my way. Man, you have room for some more stuff?
- 12:20Speaker 1: Huh oh yeah, man, do it a lot? Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 12:25Speaker 1: guys from them and go house some room. Okay, you're
- 12:27Speaker 1: gonna make some room. Yeah, because you know, nothing last forever. Yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 1: and you got to go go with the flow, man,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and you make room for things that are important to you. Yeah.
- 12:36Speaker 1: It's a proven fact, especially in relationships. And oh yeah yeah,
- 12:41Speaker 1: thank room for six without someone right, I'm with you.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I mean, don't nobody make room for that? I do
- 12:53Speaker 1: when I get it. Yeah. Uh. There are times when
- 12:56Speaker 1: I'm absolutely ashamed of the other three men on the show.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I don't apologize to women because I don't know where
- 13:03Speaker 1: that went to. They started with the food and they
- 13:06Speaker 1: just lined up and they just went with it. And
- 13:09Speaker 1: I was going, why was this when from I'm grateful
- 13:13Speaker 1: when opportunities and you make time for relationships first for relationships.
- 13:20Speaker 1: He said, you make room for sex. Well, when then
- 13:23Speaker 1: that started, and then this other food with all without somebody,
- 13:28Speaker 1: and then Junior me too. When the three fools went
- 13:31Speaker 1: that way, Why wouldn't the fourth food follow us? Why
- 13:33Speaker 1: wouldn't not because someone has to direct the quiet. Everybody
- 13:38Speaker 1: can't be to, everybody can't be an alto soprano and
- 13:41Speaker 1: a TenneT. Somebody got a direct the quiet okay started? Huh,
- 13:49Speaker 1: I thought it was telling about sex, not we're singing.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I didn't know works queen worked, you were you were
- 13:59Speaker 1: so what did you all think? Oh? I guess we'll
- 14:02Speaker 1: be talking about it this morning. I was impressed by Oh,
- 14:06Speaker 1: it's a name, Kamala, Kamala, Kamala, Kamala, not Kamela. No
- 14:11Speaker 1: Kamala like a kama Harris with La Kamala. I was
- 14:15Speaker 1: impressed with him her last night. Oh, I don't know
- 14:23Speaker 1: why she wants to be president, but you know, she
- 14:28Speaker 1: looked good, she looked good, she sounded good. Yeah, we'll
- 14:31Speaker 1: talk about it all morning, later in the morning as well,
- 14:34Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour. Uh. The
- 14:37Speaker 1: fellas want to kick off this morning with say what
- 14:40Speaker 1: moments will explain? Right? After this. You're listening, all right, Steve.
- 14:48Speaker 1: So before we left off, you were talking about Senator
- 14:50Speaker 1: Kamala Harris's town hall meeting on CNN last night, and um,
- 14:56Speaker 1: you were. You had asked the question, he post, the question,
- 14:58Speaker 1: why would anyone want to run for president? Yeah? I didn't,
- 15:02Speaker 1: you know, I remember my mom used to say that
- 15:04Speaker 1: about Obama. Why because you hold yourself up, you know,
- 15:08Speaker 1: for the world to see up to so much scrutiny
- 15:11Speaker 1: and all of that. But apparently, you know, they feel
- 15:13Speaker 1: like they can change the world or make the world
- 15:15Speaker 1: a better place. It is, right, Yeah, as a matter
- 15:18Speaker 1: of fact, And when she opened up in Oakland, when
- 15:22Speaker 1: she made her big announcement, she said one of her
- 15:24Speaker 1: statements was we're better than this, referring to how the
- 15:28Speaker 1: world is now in the current administration. She said, we're
- 15:31Speaker 1: better than this. Yeah, she made some great statements. I'm
- 15:34Speaker 1: just I mean, it's so early, we don't know who's
- 15:38Speaker 1: going to be the nominee or anything, so you know,
- 15:42Speaker 1: it's hard to be hard to get behind one candidate
- 15:45Speaker 1: right now. But she sounds very she's sharp. I will
- 15:52Speaker 1: say that she's extremely sharp, and she's sounding more than
- 15:57Speaker 1: adequately qualified. And don't you think, Steve, it's good that
- 16:01Speaker 1: she got in early. Yeah, because a lot of people
- 16:04Speaker 1: don't know her, don't know her platform or what she's standing. Yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 1: I think I think that's why. I think that's one
- 16:09Speaker 1: of the thoughts behind her jumping out so early, being
- 16:12Speaker 1: the first one out there to claim it and run,
- 16:16Speaker 1: and so she's going to have more time to say
- 16:20Speaker 1: what it is without being caught up in the fray,
- 16:24Speaker 1: you know. So I think she's very smart in doing
- 16:26Speaker 1: it that way. We're a long way out, but this
- 16:28Speaker 1: is what I wanted, though. But I was hoping that
- 16:32Speaker 1: the Democratic Party would pick one or two and say
- 16:35Speaker 1: these are two people we want to go with, and
- 16:37Speaker 1: then let's go with that. But we're gonna end up
- 16:40Speaker 1: with a crowded field, just like the Republicans did. Yeah.
- 16:44Speaker 1: And if the guy from Starbucks gets in it and
- 16:47Speaker 1: runs as an independent, he's gonna take away a lot
- 16:50Speaker 1: of Democratic votes and they're gonna hand this the White
- 16:53Speaker 1: House right back to this dude that's in here now. Yep,
- 16:56Speaker 1: that's exactly what's gonna happen. He's gonna split a liberal
- 17:00Speaker 1: Democratic vote, you know. And again, we gotta be smarter
- 17:02Speaker 1: than that because they are the Republican Party is slick man,
- 17:10Speaker 1: god a mightiness. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised that they
- 17:12Speaker 1: got the gay from Stopbucks to run. Yeah. Politics is
- 17:17Speaker 1: a dirty game, that's real dirty. They playing dirty right now. Yeah.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I remember this, This current administration, the Trump administration made
- 17:27Speaker 1: me stop watching in my tracks House of Cards, all right,
- 17:31Speaker 1: and this was yeah, this was before Kevin Spacey had
- 17:35Speaker 1: his you know situation. But I was like, I can't
- 17:38Speaker 1: watch this now because what's happening in the White House
- 17:40Speaker 1: is it's real. It's better. Seriously, this administration is better
- 17:48Speaker 1: than House of Cards. Yeah. You know, we got a
- 17:51Speaker 1: president and he had a stripple, you know, and didn't
- 17:57Speaker 1: had a playboy bunny. That was better than the House
- 18:01Speaker 1: of Cards. Yeah, you know, all he all he had
- 18:06Speaker 1: was that little little little age, a little girl that
- 18:10Speaker 1: was a the one he pushed on. Yeah, I can't
- 18:13Speaker 1: believed would produce it, wouldn't produce it because they wouldn't
- 18:21Speaker 1: believe it. Yeah, that's why there's that saying truth is
- 18:25Speaker 1: stranger than That's right, the Foe Year movie. Baby, But
- 18:29Speaker 1: you have all of that and it's like crazy, man,
- 18:32Speaker 1: I mean I actually come home and I've watched CN
- 18:35Speaker 1: and more now than total in my life. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 1: for sure, because I go on to see what he's done,
- 18:43Speaker 1: because they will at least tell you what he's done.
- 18:44Speaker 1: That when you called all the Fox, they act like
- 18:47Speaker 1: he didn't say that. I know, oh man, they'd be
- 18:50Speaker 1: talking about anything and everything else. Yeah. Yeah, but you know, man,
- 18:54Speaker 1: when he when he ended the shutdown, Rush Limbaugh got
- 18:58Speaker 1: on him, that other lady named Laura. I mean, a
- 19:03Speaker 1: whole lot of people jumped on him about it because man,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I went, wow, they hard look, well he cave. Now
- 19:13Speaker 1: now now Rick Santorum, the guy from Pittsburgh or Pennsylvania
- 19:17Speaker 1: worries from the used to be a presidential candidate. Yeah,
- 19:21Speaker 1: he did say something. He said. He didn't cave. He
- 19:26Speaker 1: ended the shutdown. He didn't cave. He did what he
- 19:30Speaker 1: thought was right for the American people. But when he
- 19:33Speaker 1: does that, you guys jump on him. Then you jump
- 19:36Speaker 1: on him for causing the shutdown. Then when he ends
- 19:41Speaker 1: his shutdown, you jump on him and you call him
- 19:43Speaker 1: macau and he's caving. He's just trying to do what's
- 19:45Speaker 1: right by the American people. And then I went, okay,
- 19:48Speaker 1: waiting man, you was doing all right until you said that.
- 19:52Speaker 1: You cannot say you're doing right by the American people
- 19:56Speaker 1: when you're putting people you're giving them no pay in
- 20:01Speaker 1: the first place. It ironic that he opens the back
- 20:05Speaker 1: up right before the Super Bowl. I mean, look, he
- 20:08Speaker 1: got business man that's friends. Yeah, or they didn't call
- 20:12Speaker 1: him the Republicans. Now, look, we ain't gonna be able
- 20:15Speaker 1: to fly in the Warriors almost shut down. Then we
- 20:18Speaker 1: got this bad weather coming, you know. Yeah, yeah, you're
- 20:23Speaker 1: creating a mess man. Yes, and we got business in money. No,
- 20:28Speaker 1: he had the cave in. Bottom line, you didn't get
- 20:33Speaker 1: the wall. But see this ignorant thought of talking about
- 20:39Speaker 1: it can be shut down again in fifteen days. You
- 20:43Speaker 1: might as well just throw your presidency in the toilet
- 20:46Speaker 1: if you shut this government down again, because ain't anybody
- 20:50Speaker 1: going to ride with you twice? Even your supporters ain't
- 20:53Speaker 1: gonna ride with you twice. Yeah, quickly they forget though, Steve,
- 20:58Speaker 1: I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I've never been
- 21:01Speaker 1: jammed that fall up nobody. But well, look at all
- 21:05Speaker 1: the stuff that he did that he still got elected.

- 29:53Speaker 1: show coming up in twenty minutes, asked Steve re relationship questions.
- 30:01Speaker 1: We have some questions for you, Steve from Steve Harvey
- 30:03Speaker 1: FM dot com. Yeah, not a problem, but first in
- 30:09Speaker 1: today's Entertainment News. Michael Jackson's family has responded to the
- 30:13Speaker 1: accusations made in the documentary Leaving Netherland. In a just
- 30:18Speaker 1: issued statement, The family members are furious that the media
- 30:21Speaker 1: who chose to believe a word of two admitted liars
- 30:25Speaker 1: without a shred of proof or single piece of physical evidence.
- 30:29Speaker 1: That is a reference to Wade Robson and James Safe Chuck,
- 30:33Speaker 1: who both alleged sexual abuse by Michael when they were
- 30:36Speaker 1: under the age of ten, and they admitted to lying
- 30:40Speaker 1: in court to protect Michael at the time from similar
- 30:43Speaker 1: charges that were made by others, claiming that people have
- 30:46Speaker 1: always loved to go after Michael. This is what the
- 30:49Speaker 1: family said, who was an easy target because he was unique.
- 30:52Speaker 1: The statement leans on the outcome of the trial, where
- 30:55Speaker 1: Jackson was found to be what completely innocent. The family
- 31:00Speaker 1: ads the creators of this film were not interested in
- 31:03Speaker 1: the truth and never interviewed a single solitary soul who
- 31:06Speaker 1: knew Michael except the two perjurers and their families. Angry
- 31:10Speaker 1: that the media are perpetuating these stories, the Jackson's closed
- 31:14Speaker 1: by stating, the truth is on our side still, this
- 31:18Speaker 1: is all what This is, a nothing but about some money.
- 31:21Speaker 1: You ain't fact check you when you had him in court,
- 31:26Speaker 1: when you had all the eight year olds available to
- 31:29Speaker 1: say something. The one thing that came out of this
- 31:32Speaker 1: whole thing was a GQ article that they buried that
- 31:36Speaker 1: the boy grew up and admitted that his father forced
- 31:39Speaker 1: him to say all this stuff. His dad was a dentist,
- 31:42Speaker 1: put him under their influence. They talked about how they
- 31:44Speaker 1: had intentionally did that. I knew Michael. Michael shouldn't have paid.
- 31:49Speaker 1: The first time he paid. He just said he didn't
- 31:51Speaker 1: want to go through it, and he paid the money
- 31:53Speaker 1: just to make it. Gordon just a just a really
- 31:55Speaker 1: really cool guy. Michael Jackson ain't never molested no kids. Now,
- 31:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna find that because I've talked with him, I've
- 32:02Speaker 1: seen him. That's not what he was. Now, did he
- 32:05Speaker 1: have kids over at this house? Yeah, he had all that,
- 32:08Speaker 1: but he wasn't sexually molesting no kids. Mike had chicks, man,
- 32:12Speaker 1: y'all don't know. I'm telling you, the dude was straight player.
- 32:14Speaker 1: He had plenty of chicks over there. Or you'll be
- 32:17Speaker 1: sitting over there and you'll be going, okay, all right, Mike,
- 32:20Speaker 1: all right, okay, No, I'm not going with this. It's
- 32:24Speaker 1: just bull. The man is dead. They trying to make
- 32:27Speaker 1: some money with a movie and they got two people
- 32:30Speaker 1: that they paid some money to go along with it.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Can't verify none of that. Get on out of him. Yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 1: always trying to bring somebody down. Just say numbers. It's
- 32:37Speaker 1: some old, cropped up mess. It's called leaving Netherland again,
- 32:44Speaker 1: Neverland and it's coming out on HBO. I think ain't
- 32:48Speaker 1: interviewed nobody, no, damn body. All right, we're moving on.
- 32:55Speaker 1: In other entertainment news, Steve, we have to say congratulations
- 32:59Speaker 1: to our girl, Taraji Pete Henson because she's finally gotten
- 33:04Speaker 1: her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. So happy
- 33:07Speaker 1: for her, so deserving. Yeah yeah, yeah, she's she was
- 33:12Speaker 1: dressed in red. She looked so beautiful. Yeah, she really
- 33:15Speaker 1: did red. Yeah. When did she get it? Yes, yesterday. Yeah.
- 33:28Speaker 1: She's got a new movie coming out too, called What
- 33:31Speaker 1: Men Want? Yeah, what men want? What? What women want? No? Yes,
- 33:38Speaker 1: men want? Because mel Gibson had what women wanted? Yeah, okay, yeah, right,
- 33:45Speaker 1: all right. The deep freeze in the Midwest, Steve, we're
- 33:47Speaker 1: moving on and the Northeast. And in Houston, a serious
- 33:51Speaker 1: story out of Houston, five police officer officers were shot.
- 33:54Speaker 1: All right, Steve, it is that time, all right, ladies
- 33:57Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Here she is, miss Anne Tripp. Thank you
- 34:01Speaker 1: very much, everybody. Yes, this is entreput the news. And
- 34:03Speaker 1: let me get too at Blizzard conditions in Chicago and
- 34:05Speaker 1: other Midwest cities forced airlines to cancel thousands of flights
- 34:09Speaker 1: yesterday and there are more cancelations and DELAYSIA report on
- 34:12Speaker 1: a flight scheduled to take off today. The bitter coal
- 34:15Speaker 1: from North Dakota to Missouri and east into Ohio also
- 34:18Speaker 1: resulting in businesses shutting down in schools closing. In Chicago,
- 34:22Speaker 1: the record low temperature of twenty seven below zero could
- 34:25Speaker 1: be actually broken today. Mayorama Manuel as turning community centers
- 34:29Speaker 1: into warming shelters other things for those who have no heat.
- 34:32Speaker 1: CTA and Family Services sent the bus to pick up
- 34:35Speaker 1: homeless people to make sure that if they didn't want
- 34:37Speaker 1: to go to a warming center, that there'd be a
- 34:40Speaker 1: bus to make sure that they could be off the streets.
- 34:42Speaker 1: So he's trying to do everything he can. Wisconsin's governor
- 34:45Speaker 1: has declared a state of emergency, and non essential government
- 34:48Speaker 1: offices in Michigan, including the state capital, are closed because
- 34:52Speaker 1: of all this deadly frigid weather. The Trump administration says
- 34:56Speaker 1: it's getting ready to pull US troops out of Afghanistan
- 34:58Speaker 1: if negotiations with the Taliband go the right way, trying
- 35:02Speaker 1: to get the Taliban to stand down and allow the
- 35:04Speaker 1: Afghanis to govern themselves. The US has some fourteen thousand
- 35:08Speaker 1: troops over there. Meanwhile, President Trump has accepted House Speaker
- 35:11Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi's invitation to deliver his State of the Union
- 35:14Speaker 1: address in the House on Tuesday, February fifth. Pelosi had
- 35:18Speaker 1: uninvited the President to deliver the speech while the government
- 35:21Speaker 1: shut down continued. The House and Senate must still pass
- 35:24Speaker 1: a resolution officially inviting President Trump to address a joint
- 35:28Speaker 1: session of Congress. Meanwhile, the current stopgap government funding deal
- 35:32Speaker 1: expis February fifteenth. We all know that, so that a
- 35:34Speaker 1: committee of both Democratic and Republican lawmakers are set to

- 36:07Speaker 1: Mobile by secretly taking photos of the robot, measuring it,
- 36:11Speaker 1: and even stealing a piece of it. The company's also
- 36:14Speaker 1: accused of financial fraud, accused of trying to circumvent US

- 39:59Speaker 1: men I always seem to think you're rushing when you
- 40:02Speaker 1: tell them what you want and what you're looking for.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Why is that? Well, see, I don't know too many
- 40:08Speaker 1: men who go so, so, what are you looking for
- 40:10Speaker 1: in a relationship? That's not all opening line question for
- 40:16Speaker 1: most guys on the first date. So so when you
- 40:21Speaker 1: when a man you, a man will always say, so,
- 40:25Speaker 1: tell me what you like, you know, stuff like that.
- 40:29Speaker 1: But a woman can't wait to talk about relationship status
- 40:32Speaker 1: because she don't want to waste no time. You know,
- 40:34Speaker 1: a lot of women have felt like they've wasted time
- 40:37Speaker 1: with people that wasn't interested in the same things they
- 40:40Speaker 1: want to do. So what you're trying to do in
- 40:42Speaker 1: the beginning is to make sure that you equally yoke
- 40:46Speaker 1: that he wants the same things that you want. But
- 40:49Speaker 1: careful in the beginning because in telling him all of this,
- 40:56Speaker 1: you're looking at him, and he's thinking that you're affecting
- 41:00Speaker 1: this from him. And if you just met, if you
- 41:04Speaker 1: just met, then you know, I mean, he may want
- 41:07Speaker 1: a family, he may want to get married someday, he
- 41:11Speaker 1: may want children, but he just met you, he doesn't
- 41:14Speaker 1: know if he wants any of those things with you,
- 41:18Speaker 1: And that's the troubling part. And so now he's going
- 41:22Speaker 1: like wow, and you got him him up in the
- 41:24Speaker 1: corner like all this before y'all can go any further
- 41:28Speaker 1: that you know, this has to be what this is about.
- 41:31Speaker 1: This has got to be leading to marriage or family
- 41:33Speaker 1: and relationship or we need to stop this right now.
- 41:36Speaker 1: He don't know that, you know. But if you find
- 41:40Speaker 1: good sex first, won't love come after that? No, Hill, No,
- 41:44Speaker 1: you know what. Anytime you're talking to the man who
- 41:47Speaker 1: created the ninety day rule, Tommy and shout out to
- 41:50Speaker 1: your book Stephen, I'm gonna get it right this time.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I promise you act like a lady, think like a man.
- 41:57Speaker 1: And he's currently helping me with my new one. Think
- 42:00Speaker 1: like Steve, Act like Tommy. That's where we're coming out
- 42:03Speaker 1: with it. Ain't nobody that ain't good either way you
- 42:09Speaker 1: put it. You can you can say, think like Tommy,
- 42:12Speaker 1: act like, don't care how you put it. Tommy and
- 42:16Speaker 1: Steve ain't moving the books. But it is your tenth anniversary,
- 42:20Speaker 1: right of your very tenth anniversary, and end up Timmy.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Now that'll sell. But but Steve congratulations on your ten man. Yeah, exactly.
- 42:33Speaker 1: In the book, I did a show about the book
- 42:37Speaker 1: and the book jumped up to number three. Wow. I
- 42:41Speaker 1: just did a show on it and it jumped to
- 42:43Speaker 1: number three on Amazon. So yeah, it was a big book. Day.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Still a handbook for ladies if you're in relationship. Yeah,
- 42:51Speaker 1: it really really is. Yeah, because it's a ten year anniversary. Yeah,
- 42:56Speaker 1: it's it's a gift that keeps on giving this one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 43:00Speaker 1: So if you were a kid ten years ago and
- 43:01Speaker 1: you're a woman in your twenty now, you see what
- 43:04Speaker 1: I'm saying right now, you know, I mean there's a
- 43:06Speaker 1: lot of women who could use the book act like
- 43:08Speaker 1: anything like a man. Yeah, because I try to help
- 43:11Speaker 1: women out with it, and you know, just so you
- 43:15Speaker 1: can get a feel for we addressed that in the
- 43:18Speaker 1: book too. You too handle it. Yeah. You do talk
- 43:21Speaker 1: about when you first meet a guy, what you talk about.
- 43:24Speaker 1: You do talk about pacing yourselves. You do talk about standards,
- 43:29Speaker 1: even since I've written fourteen questions for women that they
- 43:35Speaker 1: should ask on a first date. Wow, because you have Okay,
- 43:39Speaker 1: like what give me? Give me give you an example,
- 43:43Speaker 1: if you want to know how much a man makes
- 43:48Speaker 1: yeh okay, yeah, I mean we're with you. I mean
- 43:51Speaker 1: I mean because especially growing women, they want to make
- 43:54Speaker 1: sure the man is financial statement. So you can't come
- 43:57Speaker 1: out and go, well how much do you make? Oh,
- 44:00Speaker 1: you can't. You ain't been out there in a wild
- 44:03Speaker 1: call direct? All right, you know the way to address that.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I'll tell you when we come back. Well, no, we
- 44:09Speaker 1: have a oh is it is? It gonna be long? Okay? Yeah,
- 44:12Speaker 1: all right. So you can't ask ladies so how much
- 44:16Speaker 1: you make? Yeah, they can't ask him. They can ask me.
- 44:20Speaker 1: You know you can do that. You're gonna wind up
- 44:23Speaker 1: getting a categorized I tell you real quick, because it
- 44:27Speaker 1: helped me get it. Yeah, all right, Well we'll come
- 44:31Speaker 1: back and address that. Also coming up, the nephew's prank
- 44:33Speaker 1: phone call. That's all coming up right after this you're
- 44:37Speaker 1: listening to. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:42Speaker 1: right about four minutes after. It's my Struwberry letter for
- 44:44Speaker 1: today's subject, my husband's supportive secretary. All right, but right
- 44:50Speaker 1: right before we get into your prank, nephew, Uh, Steve,
- 44:53Speaker 1: you were saying that there's a better way for women
- 44:57Speaker 1: to ask men how much they make if they want
- 44:59Speaker 1: to know it. See you gotta be slick. So instead
- 45:03Speaker 1: of going well, you know, how much do you make?
- 45:06Speaker 1: Just ask him what do you do in your spare time?
- 45:09Speaker 1: People with money do different stuff, and they spare time.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Golf costs money traveling. When they say travel, they got money.
- 45:20Speaker 1: When they say golf, that's you can't. Golf's expensive. Man,
- 45:24Speaker 1: So what if he's sleep? What if? What if? Right?
- 45:28Speaker 1: You know? So y'all ain't in the hand none and
- 45:31Speaker 1: just gonna lock down. He could be broken. He's nappy. Listen, Yes,

- 46:11Speaker 1: Is Dale available? Is he there? Keep actually with a customer?

- 46:20Speaker 1: What exactly do y'all have there? I'm gonna make sure
- 46:23Speaker 1: I'm calling the right place. Oh, yes, of course. Um.
- 46:26Speaker 1: It's a restaurant supply company. UM. So we have you know,
- 46:30Speaker 1: everything from freezers, refrigerators to your basic restaurant supplies. Okay,
- 46:36Speaker 1: y'all do have freegans, because that's what I'm trying to do.
- 46:39Speaker 1: I'm what I'm trying to do is uh, I've run
- 46:42Speaker 1: out of freezer space, and I'm trying to see if possibly,
- 46:46Speaker 1: you know, my back is up against the wall right now.
- 46:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to see if I can possibly put something
- 46:52Speaker 1: in one of you as freezers for a couple of
- 46:54Speaker 1: days until I get free up on this end. So
- 46:57Speaker 1: that's why I wanted to see if you guys would
- 47:00Speaker 1: allow me to do something like that. Is that possible? Um, sir, Sorry,
- 47:04Speaker 1: I'm a little confused. I don't want to buy a freezer.
- 47:07Speaker 1: You just want to put something in one of our freezers.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I just want to put something there for a couple
- 47:11Speaker 1: of days because I have a freezer, but mine is
- 47:14Speaker 1: completely full, and I'm trying to see if I can
- 47:17Speaker 1: put something in you as freezer until, you know, for
- 47:19Speaker 1: a couple of days, and then I'll come back and
- 47:21Speaker 1: get it. Um. I'm so sorry, we don't do that.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Um uh. If you wanted to come by and purchase
- 47:29Speaker 1: a freezer, I'm happy to help you, but we don't
- 47:33Speaker 1: allow outside vendors to put things in our freezers. That's
- 47:36Speaker 1: that's yeah, that's I'm sorry. Okay, Well I was sold.
- 47:41Speaker 1: If Dale would hear what was going on, he might
- 47:43Speaker 1: he might being to help me though. Okay, Um, you
- 47:46Speaker 1: said your name was Kevin. Okay, Kevin, if you just
- 47:49Speaker 1: hold a moment, I will see if Dale can take
- 47:51Speaker 1: your call. That's that's what the hell I asked in
- 47:54Speaker 1: the first pl Okay, then hold on a moment, please,

- 48:41Speaker 1: half empty in a couple of days. I just want
- 48:44Speaker 1: to just need some somebody to just kind of help
- 48:46Speaker 1: me out here. Is it possible for me to bring
- 48:48Speaker 1: something over there to keep it frozen for a couple
- 48:51Speaker 1: of days? You know what we got at the show room,
- 48:53Speaker 1: you know, with different displays so you can see what
- 48:56Speaker 1: different kind of refrigerators look in your restaurants. But I mean,
- 48:59Speaker 1: if you want to come and take a look at one,
- 49:01Speaker 1: I could have ye in if you're interested in't buy
- 49:03Speaker 1: any one. But no, no, it's there for show, you know,
- 49:06Speaker 1: right right? No, No, I have a cooler. I have
- 49:09Speaker 1: a freeze already, but like I say, mine is just full.
- 49:12Speaker 1: In a couple of days, it won't be And I
- 49:14Speaker 1: really got to get this this stuff on frozen. Man,
- 49:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna be in trouble. Like I said, I'm m
- 49:20Speaker 1: my back against the wall over here. Man. And um,
- 49:23Speaker 1: I can't remember who recommended you, but you can't highly
- 49:25Speaker 1: recommended that you might be able to chill me a
- 49:27Speaker 1: little love on this look. I guess it comes back
- 49:29Speaker 1: depends on what do you need how much? How much
- 49:32Speaker 1: do you have that you need frozen? I mean, I
- 49:34Speaker 1: don't even know what you Well, well, I got um
- 49:37Speaker 1: three bodies that I need to get um to keep,
- 49:40Speaker 1: you know, to keep frozen. Man. You know we run
- 49:42Speaker 1: the mortuary over here. This is body. Yeah we got
- 49:46Speaker 1: three people bodies. Yeah, yeah, we got three bodies that
- 49:50Speaker 1: and like I said, my my freezer is full. Man.
- 49:53Speaker 1: But in a couple of days, you know, these bodies,
- 49:55Speaker 1: you know, the funerals would have happened, so we'll be
- 49:58Speaker 1: freed up, you know. But right now, I got I
- 50:00Speaker 1: got three bodies coming in the day that I got
- 50:02Speaker 1: to get in the freezer. Are you crazy? Are you?
- 50:07Speaker 1: Damn mind? No? No, no, I'm dead serious. I'm dead serious. Bro.
- 50:11Speaker 1: So I'm like I said, you can't highly recommend it,
- 50:14Speaker 1: you know what. I'm just trying to get somebody to
- 50:15Speaker 1: show me a little love. Man. You got those freezes,
- 50:17Speaker 1: you don't have nothing in them. You know, I just
- 50:19Speaker 1: needed for a couple of days. You gotta be out
- 50:21Speaker 1: of your mind. We're not talking about ice. This isn't
- 50:24Speaker 1: chicken wings or reports shoulder. He's a people. You are
- 50:28Speaker 1: out of your mind, man, But but listen to me down.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Then listen to what I'm gonna You understand how serious
- 50:33Speaker 1: this is. I have to keep them frozen. That's the
- 50:37Speaker 1: reason why I'm calling. I'm needing your help, man. Yeah,
- 50:39Speaker 1: I understand that. Look, if you want to, I don't
- 50:42Speaker 1: have you come in to buy your own freezer. You
- 50:44Speaker 1: can put your own bodies in your own freezer. How
- 50:46Speaker 1: might fun to show off my shoulder room with frozen
- 50:49Speaker 1: bodies and the freezer. But just just don't just don't
- 50:52Speaker 1: show that one for a couple of days, you know
- 50:54Speaker 1: what I'm saying, don't just don't show it all wall
- 50:56Speaker 1: it just come you know what? You know what here?
- 50:58Speaker 1: What we could do. We could put the bodies in there,
- 51:00Speaker 1: just cover them up, and people don't want to know
- 51:02Speaker 1: what it is. Yeah, and then I get a buyer
- 51:04Speaker 1: that comes in and the cover falls off it and
- 51:06Speaker 1: I got a frozen dead body and my freezer. Is
- 51:09Speaker 1: that even legal? I don't know. Man. All I'm saying
- 51:12Speaker 1: is ters a deal man. You can't highly recommended. They
- 51:15Speaker 1: told me that you would probably show me so love.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I'm actually, you know, getting ready to load up and
- 51:21Speaker 1: come your way. Dude, you keep those dead bodies away
- 51:25Speaker 1: from my store. I'm telling you right now, I can't
- 51:27Speaker 1: hook you up on this one, all right. I just
- 51:30Speaker 1: can't do it, okay, But we shoulding to load up
- 51:32Speaker 1: and come that weight though. Man. So you know what
- 51:34Speaker 1: I'm saying, it's I mean, what am I supposed to do?
- 51:38Speaker 1: I have no you know what? You want to come
- 51:40Speaker 1: talk to me. You want to buy a freezer for
- 51:42Speaker 1: yourself and you want to freeze your dead bodies on
- 51:45Speaker 1: your own. I don't care. I'll tell you a freezer.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I got no problem with selling you a freezer. But
- 51:49Speaker 1: you're not bringing the bodies here. It's just not happening.
- 51:52Speaker 1: So if Alonzo, if Alonzo calls you and green lights it,
- 51:58Speaker 1: is it, okay, then I highly down. Alonzo's gonna call
- 52:03Speaker 1: me and tell me to put freak a body and
- 52:05Speaker 1: wait on our showroom for freezers. I made out that. Okay, okay,
- 52:11Speaker 1: but but but guess what Alonzo told me? What did
- 52:15Speaker 1: a lions? I'm telling you the Alonzo told me to

- 55:25Speaker 1: I've been married for fourteen years and we have two sons.
- 55:29Speaker 1: My husband is a middle school principal and I work
- 55:32Speaker 1: full time in an office. Excuse me. My husband and
- 55:35Speaker 1: I have a great social life, and we used to
- 55:38Speaker 1: focus on keeping the romance alive in our marriage, but
- 55:41Speaker 1: my boys are very active in sports now, so it's
- 55:44Speaker 1: hard to find time to hang out together. It has
- 55:46Speaker 1: not affected my husband's social life at all, though he
- 55:50Speaker 1: still hangs out after work and I have a big
- 55:53Speaker 1: issue with who he chooses to spend his time with.
- 55:56Speaker 1: He has been going out with his secretary to have
- 55:59Speaker 1: a quick dinner or just to grab a drink. As
- 56:02Speaker 1: he says. His secretary is married too, but her kids
- 56:05Speaker 1: are grown so she doesn't have to rush home after work.
- 56:08Speaker 1: After the first couple of times the two of them
- 56:11Speaker 1: went out, I went up to the school and had
- 56:13Speaker 1: a talk with both of them. She told me that
- 56:16Speaker 1: they are merely co workers and good friend that tell
- 56:19Speaker 1: each other everything. He told me that I should not
- 56:22Speaker 1: have come up there and that there was nothing going on. Later,
- 56:26Speaker 1: when he got home, he was angry with me and
- 56:28Speaker 1: told me that I don't support who he is as
- 56:31Speaker 1: a black man, and the secretary is easy to talk to.
- 56:35Speaker 1: She listens to him. I was furious and humiliated. Meanwhile,
- 56:41Speaker 1: he's hanging out after work. I am running around with
- 56:43Speaker 1: our boys, making sure there at all of their practices
- 56:46Speaker 1: and games. But I'm not supportive. I really need some
- 56:50Speaker 1: good advice before I ring his neck. Please help, go
- 56:54Speaker 1: ahead and ring his neck. Go ahead, because he is wrong.
- 56:58Speaker 1: I mean, your husband's out of order. He's ignoring everything
- 57:02Speaker 1: you're telling him and just doing whatever he wants to
- 57:05Speaker 1: do with his so called best friend and very supportive secretary.
- 57:10Speaker 1: I think your husband's disrespectful and he knows. Should you
- 57:13Speaker 1: have gone up to his job? No, no, you shouldn't
- 57:16Speaker 1: have gone up to his job because you know that
- 57:18Speaker 1: could cause him to get fired or whatever, depending on
- 57:21Speaker 1: you know what happened after that. But he didn't, So
- 57:23Speaker 1: that's okay. If you guys can't work this stuff out
- 57:26Speaker 1: at home, there is something really serious going on. A
- 57:30Speaker 1: telling line in the letter, he said a couple of them.
- 57:33Speaker 1: I don't think that you don't support who he is
- 57:35Speaker 1: as a black man. What does that have to do
- 57:37Speaker 1: with anything? What does that have to do with anything? Right?
- 57:42Speaker 1: But yeah, he tried her, didn't he try her? Yeah,
- 57:45Speaker 1: he tried it. And but this is a real telling line.
- 57:50Speaker 1: The secretary is easy to talk to. She listens to him. Yeah,
- 57:56Speaker 1: that was a very telling line, and you had every
- 57:57Speaker 1: right to be furious and humiliate it. He's not listening
- 58:01Speaker 1: to you. She listens to him. But he's not listening
- 58:04Speaker 1: to you at all. And where he wants your support?
- 58:07Speaker 1: Where's his support? You're the one running around with the
- 58:09Speaker 1: boys making sure they're at all of their practices and games.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Isn't that something that usually the dad does or you
- 58:16Speaker 1: guys do together. You both support your children. Meanwhile, he's
- 58:20Speaker 1: at the club, hanging out, doing his thing with his secretary. No,
- 58:24Speaker 1: this is wrong, and your and your husband is wrong.
- 58:27Speaker 1: He's not supporting you as a black woman, as a
- 58:29Speaker 1: black wife, as a mother, as a lover, all of
- 58:32Speaker 1: these things. Okay, he's wrong. He needs to get it together,
- 58:36Speaker 1: and I'm all for you. Ringing his neck, Steve, Well,
- 58:39Speaker 1: let's start with this. Ringing his neck ain't gonna do it,
- 58:42Speaker 1: damn good. All he's gonna do is go over there
- 58:47Speaker 1: and get his neck rub. Now, you already ain't listening
- 58:51Speaker 1: to him, So he said she easy to talk to
- 58:56Speaker 1: because she listens you is ringing next. Now I got
- 59:03Speaker 1: to go over him and get my neck rubbed out
- 59:07Speaker 1: by the same. Hell for that's talking to me and listening,
- 59:11Speaker 1: pushing me. You're just making it easy for the clean up.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Won't woman to get your man's love? Oh no, that
- 59:26Speaker 1: song was written for you. Now let me walk you
- 59:31Speaker 1: through it. Steve you wrong on this one? Whatever, it's
- 59:34Speaker 1: a letter the people he see you wrong for that?
- 59:43Speaker 1: Are you and your husband have a great social life.
- 59:46Speaker 1: We used to focus on keeping romance alive in our match.
- 59:48Speaker 1: Well you ain't gonna do that no more. See you
- 59:51Speaker 1: don't have to focus on keeping it alive no more.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Oh his his is his live here denner out drinking.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: His social life is live. But your boys is active
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: in sports, so it's hard to find time to hang
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: out together. It ain't affected my husband social life. I
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: told you that he still hang out out to work,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and I got a big issue with who he's spending
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: this time with. He going out with his secretary to
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: have a quick dinner or just grab a drink. I
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: don't know who you are. I can't call my wife
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: and go baby, I ain't coming home. I'm going to
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: grab some dinner and a quick drink with this girl. Dog.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Say that out loud, act like you're on the phone. Baby,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: it's me. Hey, how you doing. Hey, listen, I'm finna
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: go grab some dinner. One man, We're gonna stop answering drink.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna be a little lady, all right, take it easy.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: How do that sound crazy? So after they did it
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: a couple of times, the first couple of times the
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: two of them went out, you went up to the
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: school and had a talk with both of them. When
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: we come back, what happened when you went up to
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: the school to talk with both of them. Well, I
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: tell you what happens. It ain't like though, did it.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: We come back, and we're gonna go over what God
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: said to your face, what you missed that didn't get
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: said to your face. Let the church say amen, Amen?
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: All right? Coming up Part two of Steve's response to

- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Let's recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject. My husband's supportive secretary
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: then used to have a social life. They worked on
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: and everything, but they got these two boys. They had sports.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: So you relegated yourself to taking them to all the
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: sporting events and have practices and everything in Your husband
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: his social life good because he going out after work
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: dinner drakes, and you don't like who he going out
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: with because he told you. Now, I don't know who
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: this stupid as a husband is yours. You're married. But
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: there ain't no where in the world i'd have told
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you about no woman I was going out. Yeah, I
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: would have been with some boys or anything. You'd have
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: been driving no place. It wouldn't have been nobody in
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: there but me, And I'd have told you of me
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: and my boys, and we were down at the sports
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: club or the sports bar. Ain't no way in the
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: world i'd have told you. Did I go to have
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: dinner with my secretary and we grab a drink. Now
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: his secretary is married too, but her kids has grown,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: so she ain't got a rush home after work. Now,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: they went out together a couple of times, and you
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: went up to the school to have a talk with
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: both of them. Now, this is what she told the
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: lady when she got up to the school. We are
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: merely coworkers and good friends that can tell each other anything.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: This woman had the audacity to tell you the wife
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: of this guy. We go out, we have lunch. We're
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: good friends that can tell each other anything. So I
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: guess the part about him being married to his best friend.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I guess that gold out the word that's just going
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: out the winter because he's got a new friend. We're
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: good friends that can tell each other anything. And then
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: he told me I should not have come up there,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: and that that was nothing. Go, you shouldn't have came
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: up hill talking to both of us, right, chew up hill, fault.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Ain't nothing going on now. Later when he got he
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: came in the dough mad with you like he posted.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: Because what I'd have told you, ladies, the best defense
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: is a good office. You're just come up to the school.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Huh yeah, Oh, you come up to the school like
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you crazy, not crazy. You look. You know what the
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: people say when you walked out of there. Yeah, rolling
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: one role in the back of your head. You forgot
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: to take out. Then you're all up at the school,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: coat open, you don't toew it getting out the car,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: sitting up in here, lipstick all over all over your teeth.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: You that got mad, tried to put it on in
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: the car. Stoplights just up in here and bassing me.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Shouldn't have came up in here. Ain't got nothing going on.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Now I'm home now, and I got news for you.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: He told hub that I don't support who he is
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: as a black man. Now you going to dinner with
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: your second time having drinks and dinner, really ain't got
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: nothing to doude what you being a black man, that
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: white man, Filipino man, Chinese man, Latino man, any of
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: us that go to dinner and without secretary. It ain't
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: got nothing to do with being a good, strong Latin.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: It has nothing to do but a wonderfully strong Asian.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: It ain't got nothing to do with that. So quit tripping,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: he lying. But then he said, and the secretary easy
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: to talk to. She listens to me. Oh he stunger,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: she said. I was furious, and humility she didn't be
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: really hurt him. But it made him mad that he
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: had the gall to said, because he's crazy, I don't
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: I don't know who you mad too, And it's stupid behood.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: He wanted them over. Educated dude, he's so damn he's
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: a damn smart he dumb. I'm going out to dinner
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: with this woman. We haven't dinner in drinks. Then you
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: come up down talk about I talked to about what
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: she said? We talked about anything. Yeah, it could be
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: called she listens to me. Meanwhile, he's hanging out after work.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I'm running around with our boys making shoot there at
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: all the practices and games. But I'm not supported. I
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: really need some good advice before I ring his neck.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: First of all, what you're gonna when you say ring
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: his neck? What that mean? It ain't gonna stop nothing?
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: You already man, you came up to the school, they're
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: still going out afterwards. Here's your only hope. And this
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: is what you're gonna do. And I know you didn't
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: already thought it, because if you don't wrote the letter women,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: think of everything. I know you're gonna call her already
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: already married, think that I already notice what she gonna do. Dog,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: she didn't wrote this lot of shehat fingers in there,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: stuff about her damn stuff. Car. Oh everybody didn't know
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: about this, dog. I don't see. I ain't seen nobody
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: won't do that. Yeah, Oh, did your husband know y'all
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: going out to eat and drinks? Of course he doesn't.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: He understands as part of my work. No, I'm telling
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: you what husband is gonna agree to that, nor husband
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: is going to be good? And what wife is going
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: to agree with this? Right? No, So that's why she
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: gonna tell the ladies hub. Now the lady's husband gonna
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: come up here and sucker punch the pristleam, which is
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: her husband fighting at the school. Yeah, then he gonna
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: end up doing some time because he wanted real educated dude,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: real squas dude. He came in and punched me. I
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: wasn't looking. I'm they're educating children and all of them.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: This barbaric man comes up and goes ask me, was
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: I Howard? Of course I couldn't lie. I said yes,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I mister Howard, and flat out right in the eye.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: So plat owl heard my nephew say that once when
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: he was talking to Steve Harvey on his radio show,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: and he just said plat owl right in my eye.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: It hurt like all heck. And they are impressing charges.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: We gotta go email us, Instagram, not if she looks
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: like you've described her, all right, email us or Instagram
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: like me, I'm no good hair wearing today's strawberry letter
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: and Steve Harvey FM coming up in ten minutes, guys,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Senator Kamala Harris's town hall meeting. It was in Iowa
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: last night. Oh, we'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: You're listening to Senator Kamala Harris has declared her candidacy
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: for the presidency, and she has been busy traveling the
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: country South Carolina, her hometown of Oakland, and then last
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: night she was in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake University
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: for a big town hall meeting. Would c and ends
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Jake Tapper as the moderator. Last night, she faced questions
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: from Iowa voters. Here, take a listen, Senator Harris. Racism
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: has always been a problem in the United States, and
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: the current administration relies heavily on fear based tactics to
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: justify racist policies that are further segregating US as a nation,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: for creating an environment where people feel emboldened to say
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: and do harmful things to people of color, to immigrants,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: and to the LGBTQ community. As the president of a
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: new administration, what would you plan to do to make
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: America safer for these people? Thanks for that question, Lindsay,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: And you're right, you know this is something to the
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: point of your question, that has always been in America.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: You know, we have to speak truths about this. Racism
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: is real in America, Sexism, anti Semitism, homophobia, transphobia. These
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: things exist in America, and we have to speak truth
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: that they do so that we can deal with them.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: But we have seen in the last two years that
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: there's been new fuel that is lighting the fire in
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: a way that has been harmful, in a way that
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: we have seen when Charlottesville and a woman was killed,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: that we've had a president who basically said, well, there
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: were equal sides to this. We have seen what happened
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: at the Tree of Life Synagogue, and so we know
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: that hate is something that in the history of our
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: country and currently fuels not only dissension and division, but
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: is actually can lead to death. And so we have
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: to take it seriously. And here's how I feel about it,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: and I feel this very strongly. The vast majority of
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: us have so much more in common than what separates us.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: And how I would lead on this issue is one
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: to start from that place in my heart and my soul,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: which is knowing that when a mother goes to sleep
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: at night, whatever her race, wherever she lives. Whatever her
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: socioeconomic condition, she goes to sleep at night with the
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: same concerns. Those mothers go to sleep at night, worrying
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: about their babies and their help, worrying about the parents
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: and their health, whether they can get it job, keep
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: a job, pay the bills by the end of the month,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: retire with dignity. If she's a young student, can she
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: pay off those student loans. The vast majority of us
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: have so much more in common than what separates us,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: and we need leadership in this country that recognizes that
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: and understands that, and also understands it is against who
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: we are as Americans in terms of our values and
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: in terms of what we aspire to be to ever
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: fuel that kind of division in our country. And enough
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: with these powerful forces that are trying to so hate
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: in division among us that is not reflective of who
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: we are as Americans. And we need leadership that recognizes
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: who we are in our hearts and our souls, which
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: is that we do think of ourselves and know ourselves
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: to have more in common than what separates us. But
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: there's a lot of work to do. There's a lot
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: of work to do, and we certainly it's going to
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: start with the top and not fueling the kind of
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: division that we have seen. All right, all right, that
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: was the very first question out the gate at the
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: town hall meeting, So I have a question. Yeah, this
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: issue is not a joke. When she was talking about homophobia,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: and then she said what transphobia? Oh yeah trans? Yeah?
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Oh okay, I didn't know what that meant because she
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: just said trans and I didn't know what that trans. Trans. Yeah,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: I didn't know it. Yeah, she's not afraid to answer questions,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: and that debate on me yea, yeah, yeah, it was.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: It was a long question, it was. Yeah. She she
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: seemed very comfortable, you know, in her position right now.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: So I mean, you know, this is the beginning of it, right, Steve,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: coming out earlier is good or bad? Well, we've established
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: that it was good, especially for someone like her, right
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: because we don't know her really, right, I think for her,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: she's the only one out there right now, so she's
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: getting all the coverage. She's getting to stand there and
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: make a ground. So now everybody after her is going
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: to be compared to her. Right, and if you're slipping
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: and sliding on your answers, she starts to look better.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: And I think that's her bed. Yeah, and you start
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: someplace like an Iowa, because that's Middle America. I'm just
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: gonna say this right now. I'm not voting for Elizabeth
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Wore if she runs. I'm not voting. She's talking about
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: ain't talk about She just too much. She don't get it.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: I mean, I don't like the stuff she's done. You know,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: the the I'm a Native American comment. I didn't like that,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: And I didn't like the video she made about the
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: big I just and the other big reason. I don't
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: want to vote for her. And I hope she's not
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: the nominee. She's not winnable if she goes up against
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Donald Trump. Donald Trump is the president again because she's
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: not winnable. And I'm telling you right now, people are
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: looking at they look at all of this. Now. If
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: I had to vote between Donald Trump and Elizabeth Warren,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: I would, But I hope this party don't come down
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: to that, because we can not put Elizabeth Warren up
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: against Donald Trump. You got to pick the right person. Yeah,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: you gotta consider it. Ain't guy Howard Schultz, and he might,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: you know, split the Democratic vote right down the middle
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: too so we have to be strategic. We gotta be
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: smart because the main thing is to defeat Trumps. And
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: I think one of the big things is they're trying
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: to figure out who can beat him, because you can't
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: just put anybody up there. I'm telling you can't. Not
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: That's where I feel like we play in New England.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Ain't laying like it's gonna be too hard because he
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: plays dirty. He is more than beatable because he's hands
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: down the worst president we've had. So he's beatable, but
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: you gotta put the right person up there. Is it
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: going to be uh Ka, Kamala? Is it going to
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: be Biden? Because the clock again? Somebody said, Henry Talmont
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: come back. Yeah, I heard that, Steve. Let's stop, let's stop.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: All you gonna here is crooked hilly. Are you gonna
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: hear him? Damn email all you gonna hear at foundation?
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Trouble you? Oh man? All right, Well now, Senator Kamala
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Harris said, our United States of America is not about
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: us versus them, It's about we the people. Well that
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: ain't high. He is no mo so we can change
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: that slogan. All right? Coming up at the top of
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: the hour, we're gonna talk about the Super Bowl. They
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: may have some male cheerleaders for the very first time.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to show, all right. We
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: talked yesterday about Tom Brady saying he is not retiring
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: after the Super Bowl. He is coming back, all right.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: We talked about that, and we also, uh, this also
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: came up. LA Ram's head coach, Sean McVeigh pumps up
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: Rams fans right before leaving for the Super Bowl. McVey
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: addresses a crowd before the team takes off for Atlanta,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: saying they have one job to do. Take a listen.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: We talked about winning a division. We talked about getting
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: the first round by winning a playoff game to get
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: into the conference championship, winning the conference championship to get
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: to the super Bowl. We've been checking things off and
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: make no mistake about it. Got a lot of respect
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: for the Patriots, but we're going there to get this
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: last check. That's the coach, right, So you want to race,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: you have to go in late. Yeah, confident? Yeah, well,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Steve and other big football news for the first What
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: you wanted to that's bill now nat speech? Did you
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Oh y'all hadn't got on plane yet right, gone, did
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: you want to hear what Brady said, if there's any
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: chance that Super Bowl fifty three is his last game?
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: You want to hear that? Yeah? All right, take a listen.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: Is there any chance that this is your last game? Zero?
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: I don't want to just say there's zero. Yeah, there's zero.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: I've said that for a long time. I feel like
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I understand a lot and I feel like I repeat
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: the same answer. But you know, I've set a goal
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: for myself at forty five, and like I said before,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: it's very hard to make it that far. I know
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: how hard it was this year, you know, and the
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: commitment it takes. And I hopefully I've learned from some
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: of the things that happened this year to be better
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: next year. But every year is tough. Nobody give a
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: damn all right, Julian, he likes he sounds so confident
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: though all the time, Brady, he didn't reason why to
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: us in Texas can't go to No. I know, I'm
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: play until forty five. And I got Phomo either, okay,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: leash y'all talking about Super bo Yeah that was high
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: super Bowl. Yeah, I wanted to tell you something. We
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: make the playoffs next year, y'all. Just Mike will just
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: not even come in to work. Yeah, don't even come
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: in here. What do you mean it ain't gonna be
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: nothing nice. You're dealing with me, ain't gonna be good.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: You know I was voting most difficult in high school.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna show you why. Okay, do you realize we're
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: no longer in high school? You do realize that, Oh
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: you can't tell that child trip child trip? Who's that?
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Who's that dude in high school? What about him? Yeah? Man,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: if I get this seventy folk Grand Torino, that's all
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: I whatever won. He still got it. He's still still
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: in high school. I do want to get to this story.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: Another big game news. For the first time ever, Steve
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: Super Bowl, we'll have male cheerleaders for the first time
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: male cheerleaders. Wow. Is that something for the ladies or what?
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: What are they doing there at Black Colleague? So I'm
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: used to Yeah, La ram, So they didn't throw the
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: other cheerleaders up real high that's what they need? Okay, really,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: but they they throw cheerleaders in professional cheers. Yeah, they
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: justin't make it, hear, Hey don't hey dog, there's somebody mama.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: But you was a cheerleader the president. Which one leader
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: we'll cheer alongside their female counterparts. So there you go. Quentin,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: you know, Quentin b there's know some Quentin. I mean,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: you know, just saying I think it's cool. I don't know.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I don't have a problem in cheering. I don't see
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: yeah problem. We're playing Tom Brady and and Bill Belichick.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: We need everyone. We need every man. We need to board,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: we need the hot dog man. Go Rams ms ms.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: I'm just saying the game. It's a big game. We
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: need everybody, need everybody. Okay, Like, can the coach play
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: if he who's gonna coach? Don't you can coach and
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: play them? Yeah? A lot of men, a lot of men,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: thirty three, very young. Soon as somebody get tired, we
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: put it. I have faith in the Rams. I just do.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: I'm just yes because I'm in Los Angeles. Yes, if
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: they can't. If if I see the Patriots complete three
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: slants plays slants where they run towards the middle of
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: the field at an angle from the outside to the inside.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: If they complete three passes, the Rams will lose the game.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: If they complete more than four passes, or more if
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: they don't stop that slant that they run this linebacker
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: and he throws that so fast. Man, If they don't
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: stop that, it's it's it's gonna be a long day.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: Marsh to field with it. But the Rams have Wade
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: Phillips and that boy as a coach comes up with
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: some defense. Oh yeah, that's bombs boy. Yeah yeah, that
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: bomb board down Houston. He got off that plane, had
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: that big ass cold his daddy had on but without
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: the hat. Oh he didn't have a team, y'all. So man,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: oh we are humh we are the Super Bowl Pips.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Y'all made it. Man. I don't know why my house
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: I can't cheer for the rain. Oh yeah, you just
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: just cook. Call just cook. Anybody walking our house talking
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: about the Rams and this is Saints fan. I'm married
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: to a problem. Yeah, but who well who is So
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: he's not even gonna watch the game. He don't even care. Yeah,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: he's still heartbroken. They want the game end in the task.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: They play all in the Monday. He's all in the Monday.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: Well they didn't. There's a party at the James. But
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to show
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: Boy the Midwest and the Northeast who they are bracing
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: for a dangerous deep freeze as a blast of Arctic
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: air sweeks across the region, dropping temperatures to as low
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: as minus forty four degrees. That's that's cold. You have
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: to pray for people like that, ye, cause that's that's
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: so dangerous. Yeah, I know what that feels like. I
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: grew up in Chicago. I knew what if. Yes, I've
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: only seen that once in Winnipey, Canada. It was fifty
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: six below. Yeah, I've seen it in Chicago. Yeah, I've
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: only seen that once, and it's that's unbelievable. Yeah, you
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: have to cover yourself up. You have to make sure
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: you have layers on. That's the third grade of nothing match. Yeah.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: You got to stay inside. Yeah, you have to going outside.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: It's not smart because if you have any car trouble,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: and when it's that coal, a lot of cars are
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: going to get ruined because what happens is it freezes
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: the oil in the oil paying when it gets that cold,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: and if you started, you can crack your engine block.
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: So you want to cause that coal, you gotta wait
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: till it warms up little bit outside because a lot
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: of times if you leave it out there in real
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: cold like that and that all freeze you started up,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: you crack the engine block. That's cold. That's because that's
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: why in places in Canada where where's that cold, like
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: Winnipeg and all that, cars have You see them driving
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: with the plugs that hang out the car. And when
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: they get to parking stops, all of the meters have
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: plugs on them and they plug their engine in because
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: it keeps the oil in the engine. Yeah, and parking
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: spots balls and stuff. Every every mall and spot has
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: a four way you know where all four cars meeting
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: the heads in parking spot, there's a post that with
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: four plugs on it so each car can plug in. Wow. Yeah,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Canada is that way Winnipeg in Canadas, there's a lot
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: of cities like that. Yeah. The Upper Midwest, Steve It's saying,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: will experience its coldest wind chills in twenty years. Temperatures
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: in part of the Dakotas, Minnesota and Wisconsin, Michigan and
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: Chicago could feel as cold as twenty five below people
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: in Chicago inside, Yeah, it happens. Yeah, and go check
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: on people man. Yeah, definitely stick. You know, get some
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: phone calls in you don't hear from them, and you're
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: young enough to brave it, and you can get over there,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: go over there and see about people, because people get
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: in situations like this. Is that cold is deafinity? Yeah?
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Check on people, Yeah, check on people. I've never I've
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: never heard. Yeah, yeah, always ugly man nine below. In
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: addition to the sub zero temperatures, parts of the region
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: can't expect blizzard conditions with as much as a foot
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: of snow in some areas. This kind of coal as
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: we're talking about. It's no joke. You cannot go outside
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: in cold like this. Don't expose your skin. You can
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: get frostbite, U and I mean and quickly, too quickly.
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: I was. I was in the blizzard of seventy seven
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: in Cleveland. We had thirty six inches of snow. No,
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: surely snow, God, no, you okay, snow? Oh my god.
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: Show coming up right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: all right, Steve. When we went to break, you were
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: talking about thirty seven inches of snow and back in
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: you said nineteen seventy seven when you were kidding. Whoa right,
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: that's a lot. What did you do? Nothing? You do no, man?
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: We were oh dog oh man on Taylor Hall, he'll
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: th dog. We everybody winning there and got a tray
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: you know the tray you eat one. It was slaves.
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, outside playing man. I'm telling you, man, we
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: had a good day. Closed everything down. Did you make angels?
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: Snow angels? And now it was too deep for that ship?
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: You make a snow angel? You was You're a real
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: angel for real? Yea, You're gone, not in three feet
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: of snow. No, it was crazy, man, it was I'll
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: tell you exactly. But you remember thirty seven inches of
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: snow at Kent State. Wow, that's like sixty miles. It's
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: forty miles south of or west of Cleveland. Was that
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: Bowling Green? Now Bowling Green was north? Oh? Okay, yeah,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: that is a lot. I would have never came when
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: gust up to eighty two. Let me let me just
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: give you what the National Weather Service said back on
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: that day. Okay. Uh. The began in Indiana on wedndsey,
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: January twenty fifth, and struck graded Cleveland on the twenty six.
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: According to the National Weather Service. Winds gusted up to
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: eighty two miles per Snow drifts more than twenty feet deep,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: buried cars in homes. Wind chills made the air feel
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: like sixty below zero. I'm telling you, man, I was
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: there for that. That was it, and it was ungodly. Man.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: They closed everything, and it was The drifts were so crazy.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: Like you said, the drifts were twenty feet high snow drifts.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: I mean it buried cars, houses. You couldn't see people's
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: front porch. You couldn't see their door. If that wind
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: was blowing that hard and that snow, it pushed it
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: up on your porch. You all you saw was snow
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: from the ground to the rooftop. And you saw no
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: front porch, no front door. That's what you could see
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: in Cleveland. It was amazing, man, it was amazing with
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: a great time to be a damn teenager. I bet,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: oh god, I can't do that. And I read that
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: directly from the Weather Bureau. So it was crazy, man.
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: They had areas in there, man, talking about uh, some
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: wins were up to one hundred eleven. That's like hurricane stuff.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: But you're talking about with snow. Yeah, snow wicked man
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: girl door room like a Roman noodles. I know what
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: I've been. How you gonna get over that? Did you?
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: The same thing? He was playing on the slide down
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: the hill that I'm sliding to her door. You can't
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: even see that. Though he can't see the door, you
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: can somebody. I'm in a cake pant. Wow, that's sexy.
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back to close at this ignorant
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: show with Steve's closing remarks and whatever else we're going
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: to cover before we leave. All right, that's coming up
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: in forty nine minutes after right after this you're listening to.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: All right, Steve, here we are, last break of the day.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: It's been a good day. Wow. A lot of things, Yeah,
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: a lot of things we talked about today. Uh. Congratulations
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: once again to Taraji p Henson for her star in
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Yeah, through Kamala Harris, Senator
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: Kamala Harris for announcing her bid and getting out there
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: early in her race for the presidency. Yeah. All right, Steve,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: time for you to take us home with some words
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: of wisdom closing remarks. Take it away, well, my remarks today, um,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: all in the light of inc encouraging everybody. And I've
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: decided to refresh all of my remarks in the morning
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: and in closing because it's it's time to get a
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: new commitment that I've got to make towards twenty nineteen,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: and one of them is to encourage as many people
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: as I can. I don't have to do this, but
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: I have to do this, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: I don't have to do it because people can say, well, Steve,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you know, going about your beers and man, don't ware
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: about that. I can't do that. I can't. I have
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: to do what's put on my heart to do, and
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: I may not be as effective as a lot of people.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: You know, I'm definitely not the most eloquent speaker of all.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: I promise you I'm not, but I have a unique
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: way of sharing my experiences and it's my only hope
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: is not for you to think anything of me, but
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: to see if you can see yourself in anything that
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: I'm saying and maybe use some of the twols I've
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: used and some of the thoughts I've used to get
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: me through some really really challenging moments in my life.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: And I want to talk to you about planning today.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: As you plan out your life, you plan out your week,
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: you set your goals, your dreams, your aspirations. You have
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: this plan in place. I want you to do one thing,
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: if you haven't already doing it. I want you to
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: put God in these plans. Man, I'm just being serious
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: with you. You know. Look, you don't have to follow
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: my faith. I don't push that. I don't. What your
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: faith is is, what your faith is, what you call God,
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: you call God, I'm absolutely fine with it. The name
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: that you attached to him is none of my business.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: It's not my call, it's yours. But you do have
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: to have this relationship with God, and you can call
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: him Jehovah, our Live. You can anything you want to.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: I'm not I don't know all of them, but you
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: could pick anyone you want. It works if it works
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: for you. I want you to make it work for you.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: When you make your plans, when you're out there planning,
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: put some God in it. Now, listen to me. Try
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: to view every day as an adventure of this plan
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: that you've mapped out. But in this plan, when you
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: include God and you ask him to help God and
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: order your steps as you follow the plan. It takes
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: a little bit of pressure off of you. See what
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: I've done is especially this year, I've made a conscientious
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: decision to say to my creator, order my steps, show
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: me what to do, remove all fear and moments of
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: fret when difficulties are challenges come in front of me.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: When I hear the know, when I hear this what
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: we're gonna do and it's not doesn't seem like it's
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: in my best interests. I have a plan because I'm
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: letting him drive, because I just have the belief that
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: he didn't bring me this farther leave me. So with
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: that in mind, I'm simply putting him in all of
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: my plans, letting him guide me. So when the difficulties come,
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: I know that he's in charge. I ask him to
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: make me attentive, to pay attention to the flows of life,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: to trust that he's with me with the flows of life,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: that when it gets unbearable at time, to just let
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: him hold me. You know, because I really do appreciate
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: this day call life, that we have, this life in
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: the day of this daycall life. I love it, man,
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: I love waking up, I love experience in life. I
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: know it's gonna be challenging, but I like it, and
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: I just know that He's with me every single step
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: of the way. When them steps that I'm taking look
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: a little shaky and it looked like I'm falling and stumbling,
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: I always know he got me, because at the beginning
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: of my plan, I put him in it. And I
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: already understand, like I was talking to y'all the other day,
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: that life is going to happen to all of us.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: Your greatest plan and your greatest attempts at success and happiness,
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: you're gonna run up into this thing called life. And
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: life has its evan flows, its peaks, his valleys, as
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: ups and downs. But y'all, we got to hang in there.
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep saying it to you this year because
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: I want you to hang in there. Man, Stop panicking
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: every time something go wrong. It's called life. Stop tripping
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: when it don't go your way, It's called life. Keep
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: talking to God. He has a plan for you. And
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: in these plans that are going to be testing. See
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: if you say you want to be successful, and you
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: say you want to be happy, you go get tested
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: along the way. How bad do you want to be successful?
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: To listen to me. Let me, let me show you
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: what I've learned. If your plan is to be successful,
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: and you strike out to become successful and then bad
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: stuff happens to you, and then every time something bad
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: happens to you, you fold up your tent and you
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: go home, well, guess what, you didn't pass the test.
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: So even if God allowed you or you got successful,
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: as soon as something happened after you become successful, guess
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. You're gonna fold up to ten
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: and go home. So why would he give you all
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: this success and you don't know how to take care
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: of it? You learn how to take care of success
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: by learning how to take care of the situations that
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: get in front of you. That's called test. You gotta
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: get to learn how to handle a these tests. You
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: gotta get tested. So when you get through where you're
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: going and you get the results of your hard work
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: the test, you pass the tests, so you can now
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: hold on to it. It's really that I'm gonna keep
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: talking for y'all, though those are my remarks. Drop is
