- 0:13Speaker 1: them like the million bucks things in the sub good
- 0:24Speaker 1: to mother, I don't join jo You turn you are
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out? Turn? You got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out? Then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your thing. Uh huh, I sure will
- 2:03Speaker 1: A good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. Okay, okay, here's what I want to
- 2:20Speaker 1: share with you. Stop complaining, so ahead to let you
- 2:29Speaker 1: see how I let that one sit for a second.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Stop complaining. Do you realize without us even thinking about it,
- 2:42Speaker 1: oftentimes we just complain about stuff and it comes up
- 2:50Speaker 1: in such subtle forms. Man, I don't know why they're
- 2:55Speaker 1: still letting that lady work there. Man, if they don't
- 2:57Speaker 1: fire this woman, Man, I don't know what I'm gonna do.
- 2:59Speaker 1: She driving me crazy. She always got something to say.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I bet to day though, the way I'm feeling right now,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I bet she'd bet not saying nothing to me today.
- 3:14Speaker 1: M yeah, yeah, because day it today it I'm sick
- 3:19Speaker 1: of her running her mouth. Last time she said something
- 3:24Speaker 1: to me, I should have said something to it. You
- 3:26Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I'm just giving you a small
- 3:29Speaker 1: example of how it starts to snowball once you start
- 3:35Speaker 1: to complain. It's it just carries over into so many things. Man,
- 3:40Speaker 1: Stop complaining about your call, Stop complaining about your bus pass,
- 3:44Speaker 1: Stop complaining about your kids can't seem to get it together.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Stop complaining about your man can't seem to get it together.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Stop complaining. Stop Have you noticed? I'm just asking, have
- 3:59Speaker 1: you noticed that in all of your complaining, it has
- 4:04Speaker 1: provided not one solution. The reason I'm telling you to
- 4:09Speaker 1: stop complaining because God is able. Because God is capable.
- 4:18Speaker 1: He is capable and able of fixing anything, capable and
- 4:25Speaker 1: able of curing anything, capable and able of allowing you
- 4:31Speaker 1: to get too adjusting to things, and capable and able
- 4:39Speaker 1: to strengthen you to get through and change anything. But
- 4:46Speaker 1: the key here is God is capable, and God is able.
- 4:51Speaker 1: A lot of times I find myself complaining because I
- 4:55Speaker 1: have not used my greatest asset, that's my relationship with God.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You all have one now, you may not have nurtured it,
- 5:04Speaker 1: but you have one because God created you as his child.
- 5:09Speaker 1: He's available to you now. The fact that you ain't
- 5:11Speaker 1: went to him. Okay, once again, who faughthers that stop
- 5:16Speaker 1: complaining until you strengthen your relationship with God and formulate
- 5:23Speaker 1: this relationship. You don't have enough weapons. You ain't got
- 5:31Speaker 1: a big enough shield to fight this thing called life.
- 5:34Speaker 1: It just keeps coming. Man, And unless you develop a
- 5:38Speaker 1: relationship with God, you need a partner in all of this.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Maybe you got another route you're gonna take. But every
- 5:46Speaker 1: successful person I know personally has a relationship with God.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I have some really really some people that's kind of
- 6:00Speaker 1: up there in the success term in terms of business
- 6:03Speaker 1: and money and statute. I'm just talking about that portion
- 6:08Speaker 1: of success. And then I have a lot of people
- 6:10Speaker 1: who are very successful in their spiritual life, who have
- 6:15Speaker 1: become great men of God and women of God. But
- 6:20Speaker 1: look at all of them, and all of them have
- 6:22Speaker 1: substantial amounts of you know, possessions and things like that. Also,
- 6:29Speaker 1: most successful people I know have that even if you
- 6:34Speaker 1: saw them never with a big lot of house and
- 6:37Speaker 1: a lot of money or stuff like that, they had
- 6:40Speaker 1: so much respect, so much love, so much power was
- 6:46Speaker 1: given them from people that their life was rich in
- 6:51Speaker 1: that area, you know, like a man Nu the King
- 6:55Speaker 1: or something like that, or Gandhi or somebody who lived
- 6:58Speaker 1: their life in service, or Nelson Mandela who came out
- 7:02Speaker 1: and just man, people put stuff at their feet because
- 7:05Speaker 1: of their service. So all successful people I know have that,
- 7:08Speaker 1: Every last one of these people that I know, they
- 7:11Speaker 1: have relationship with God. They used the tool that was
- 7:16Speaker 1: available to them to give them the strength, the bullets,
- 7:20Speaker 1: the arrows, the slings, the shield to fight this thing
- 7:24Speaker 1: called life and have the most valuable partner right there
- 7:27Speaker 1: by their side, they Heavenly Father God, because he will
- 7:30Speaker 1: help you get through this thing called life. Man, stop
- 7:33Speaker 1: complaining all the time. It's not fixing anything. Why don't
- 7:36Speaker 1: you do yourself a favor and strengthen your relationship with God? Man?
- 7:40Speaker 1: Why can I never get over? Well you have not
- 7:43Speaker 1: because you asked not. Man, how come I always got problems? Well,
- 7:47Speaker 1: you keep trying to solve them yourself and taking them
- 7:49Speaker 1: to your friends. You keep trying to do them with
- 7:52Speaker 1: your own thought process. Who are you? I keep telling you, man,
- 7:56Speaker 1: you're going through stuff you ain't got no business going through.
- 8:00Speaker 1: And if it's you going through something over and over
- 8:03Speaker 1: and over and over, and the same problem keep coming
- 8:06Speaker 1: back to bite you again. All that's saying is you
- 8:10Speaker 1: still ain't strengthen your relationship with God. It's your relationship.
- 8:14Speaker 1: He's not gonna make you have one with him. He
- 8:16Speaker 1: is a perfect gentleman. He only comes into your life
- 8:20Speaker 1: when you invite him. Men, But for those who do
- 8:25Speaker 1: invite himn they have a distinct advantage on their road
- 8:29Speaker 1: to success, a distinct advantage. You can do it without him,
- 8:34Speaker 1: trust me, you can. How far you get. I can't
- 8:37Speaker 1: promise you nothing, how well you handle it when you
- 8:40Speaker 1: arrived there, I can't promise you nothing. How long you're
- 8:44Speaker 1: gonna stay there, I can't promise you nothing. How difficult
- 8:49Speaker 1: it's going to be without him. I can't give you that.
- 8:52Speaker 1: It's going to be far more difficult. But you can.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Something can happen, and you know, receive a measure of success.
- 8:59Speaker 1: And you think you and this move you made, and
- 9:02Speaker 1: you can describe it as I got lucky. I happened
- 9:04Speaker 1: to be in the right place at the right time.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I got lucky. Lucky is usually how other people describe
- 9:12Speaker 1: other people's success. Poor he was lucky, he was right there. Well,
- 9:16Speaker 1: let me tell you what luck is. Luck is when
- 9:18Speaker 1: hard work bumps up into opportunity. If you've been working
- 9:22Speaker 1: hard as something, the opportunity presents itself that comes a match.
- 9:26Speaker 1: That's not luck. But now, if you haven't done that
- 9:30Speaker 1: on a repetitive enough basis, that opportunity could present itself
- 9:34Speaker 1: one time. You got to reconnect. Stop complaining, man, come on,
- 9:40Speaker 1: listen to me. Stop complaining. It hasn't fixed a single
- 9:43Speaker 1: thing in your life. And if you're a chronic complainer,
- 9:45Speaker 1: it's because you really really have not fixed your relationship
- 9:49Speaker 1: with God. He'll smooth it out for you. That I
- 9:51Speaker 1: can tell you for a fact. I know that for
- 9:53Speaker 1: a fact He's mooved mine out. All right, let's go.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. Let me have your undivided attention. Please.
- 10:05Speaker 1: This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. My name happens
- 10:10Speaker 1: to be Steve. My real name is Stephen. First name Broderick.
- 10:17Speaker 1: But when you go to public, try to get little
- 10:20Speaker 1: kids in the hood to say Broderick. You gotta hear.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna come up with something else. Steve was born.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Steve Harvey Morning Show. Sherley Strawby Hey, Broderick, Steve,
- 10:34Speaker 1: I can say it, Broderick. Yeah, Hey, it's actually broder
- 10:39Speaker 1: Rick Broderick. It's three syllables. Rod, I can say that. See,
- 10:51Speaker 1: but see when you say it slow as aggravating. So
- 10:53Speaker 1: let's just go back to Steve. Okay, thank you very much.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I wasn't happening to Steven. Nobody doing all that. I
- 11:00Speaker 1: ain't got problem, Junior up, appreciate it, King of planks,
- 11:07Speaker 1: top top, I'm in the building. Well, the day, the
- 11:15Speaker 1: day is good day. What do you do from this
- 11:24Speaker 1: night for four years? Man? Final? Just look, and I
- 11:31Speaker 1: know it's gonna be tough for Biden and all that
- 11:33Speaker 1: I got, all that transition is tough, and and we
- 11:36Speaker 1: got left and shambles that we still got a pandemic
- 11:39Speaker 1: that's raging around the world, especially in this country. Got
- 11:42Speaker 1: all that, but at least we got somebody that make
- 11:47Speaker 1: damn sense serious. Yes, leaderships and what did you say,
- 11:53Speaker 1: Junior off there? Yeah, got an extended vocabulary. Lord, what
- 11:58Speaker 1: do you mean what do you mean up calling him?
- 12:00Speaker 1: You know he got words like presidential. Yeah, he's exciting.
- 12:05Speaker 1: He got to hit this other stuff. No more like
- 12:08Speaker 1: more more than twenty two words vocabulary, man, which hunt.
- 12:13Speaker 1: We won't hear those anything. Very very collusion. Yeah, the
- 12:19Speaker 1: chain of IRUs of that, yeah, all that foolishness. Yeah yeah,
- 12:26Speaker 1: good observation. Get your ass out. Oh you're just kept
- 12:30Speaker 1: in one hundred Okay, it's just man, real man, Just
- 12:34Speaker 1: get your ass out. I mean, can you look. I
- 12:38Speaker 1: think I speak for a lot of people. I just
- 12:40Speaker 1: had enough of you. Man. Yeah, it's just you know,
- 12:43Speaker 1: time of explaining you when I travel. I'm trying to
- 12:47Speaker 1: be a shame of your ass. I'm trying to you know,
- 12:50Speaker 1: people gonna hide y'all vote for him. Damn it. We
- 12:52Speaker 1: didn't exactly. We didn't exactly. Twelve o'clock today, twelve no
- 13:00Speaker 1: well known baby out, it's your popcorn? Ready? Oh yeah yeah,
- 13:08Speaker 1: because the attorney in um New York, Miss Letitia said
- 13:14Speaker 1: she ready today today, Stay ready, man, I love it,
- 13:25Speaker 1: but it seemed like it took this day forever to
- 13:28Speaker 1: get here. Girl, you heard me say, finally, yes, all right,
- 13:33Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, Get
- 13:36Speaker 1: ready for ask the clo. The Chief Love Officer is
- 13:40Speaker 1: in the building right after this. You're listening to show. Well,
- 13:46Speaker 1: we're just gonna call this day oh, happy day. Finally,
- 13:49Speaker 1: happy day. Yeah, yes, yes, um, just con straight to
- 14:01Speaker 1: the cello. Alright, Steve. This one's from Latika and Baton Rouge.
- 14:10Speaker 1: She says, I'm thirty seven and single and there's a
- 14:13Speaker 1: new guy I would like to date. He works in
- 14:15Speaker 1: my building and he flirts daily and looks me up
- 14:18Speaker 1: and down. But he claims he's got a girlfriend and
- 14:21Speaker 1: he's happy. I find that hard to believe. He's not married,
- 14:25Speaker 1: so to me, he's available. I asked him to meet
- 14:29Speaker 1: me for a drink and he used COVID as an
- 14:31Speaker 1: excuse not to go. He didn't say no because of
- 14:34Speaker 1: his girl. So, so does that mean I have a
- 14:37Speaker 1: chance with him after COVID nineteen is gone? He told you, yes,
- 14:44Speaker 1: this man then told you his situation. If you pursue
- 14:51Speaker 1: this man, you are going to be in this situation
- 14:57Speaker 1: he hadn't told you about. Huh. Yeah, that's all I
- 15:03Speaker 1: have to say. That's it, that's it. Listen, should I
- 15:06Speaker 1: pursue Latika? He told you what his deal is, this
- 15:11Speaker 1: his situation. So if you get involved with this man,
- 15:15Speaker 1: you are going to be involved in his situation. You've
- 15:18Speaker 1: been and he told you. He told you if somebody
- 15:25Speaker 1: tell you the truth. And if you tell somebody the
- 15:29Speaker 1: truth and they don't believe you, that ain't your fault. Facts.
- 15:33Speaker 1: All right, going over there if you want to, Yeah,
- 15:38Speaker 1: all right. Kp and Akron says, I'm married and having
- 15:41Speaker 1: an affair with my husband's best friend. Opening line, Steve
- 15:45Speaker 1: the best friend is a landscaper, and I sneak and
- 15:48Speaker 1: meet him on my lunch break and we've had the
- 15:51Speaker 1: most amazing sex in his truck for four months. He's
- 15:55Speaker 1: engaged and his wedding is next month. The other day
- 15:59Speaker 1: he said he's going to and our affair when he
- 16:01Speaker 1: gets married. This infuriated me because I've risked a lot
- 16:05Speaker 1: to be with him. The attraction was mutual. So how
- 16:09Speaker 1: did he end up in control? That's the question. Yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 1: that's how he end up in control. The bigger question
- 16:19Speaker 1: is how you end up in a landscaping truck for
- 16:23Speaker 1: four months? That's the damn question. Friend, to see how
- 16:30Speaker 1: loo got a question? I don't mind. I have a
- 16:33Speaker 1: question for you. How did you end up in a
- 16:36Speaker 1: landscaping truck? And how do you think that's something you
- 16:41Speaker 1: go to lunch to get done? In a damn landscaping
- 16:45Speaker 1: truck it's it's Lanmo was back there, hands candid fertilized. Amazing,
- 16:56Speaker 1: she said, yeah, it's amazing. I don't know. Have you
- 17:00Speaker 1: ever been in the back seat of a truck and
- 17:02Speaker 1: a lawnmowre go off that's behind the seat. I can't
- 17:07Speaker 1: say that I have. I bet it is amazing. Lady lady,
- 17:14Speaker 1: how did he get in control? Are you kidding me?
- 17:19Speaker 1: What do you have? You've been seeing a man all
- 17:24Speaker 1: this time in a truck. You got truck scales's not
- 17:29Speaker 1: up to that. Don't make no damn sense, not a
- 17:40Speaker 1: good lookout. I ain't never seen a neat landscape or truck. No,
- 17:49Speaker 1: no dirty. Yeah it's mulch. But it's her husband's best friend.
- 17:57Speaker 1: That's the worst thing of all. Yeah then there's that. Yeah,
- 18:04Speaker 1: good about that that part. Yeah that's a factor. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:10Speaker 1: she's low down for that one. How do you go
- 18:13Speaker 1: back to work? I ain't even got in that iss.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Your husband's best for you. You can't get past, you
- 18:20Speaker 1: can't get passage. But I'm stuck in the truck. Though.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I don't give a damn if it was man. I
- 18:29Speaker 1: don't care who it is. It's the truck that does
- 18:31Speaker 1: it for me because you won't be in the truck
- 18:35Speaker 1: no more. All right, We're moving on. Cheryl and Topeka,
- 18:42Speaker 1: Kansas says I've been friends with a man for thirty
- 18:45Speaker 1: years and he had a Christmas wedding in which I
- 18:47Speaker 1: was one of the bride'smaids. His wife reluctantly put me
- 18:51Speaker 1: in the wedding because he forced her to. His wife
- 18:54Speaker 1: told me that she doesn't like me being so close
- 18:57Speaker 1: to her husband. And for the record, I'm a married
- 19:00Speaker 1: to a woman, which means I do not want her husband.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I'm like one of the boys, and his wife knows that. Um.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I hate that my friend is in the middle of
- 19:09Speaker 1: the drama. So should I distance myself from them to
- 19:12Speaker 1: keep the peace. I don't know how to answer this.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I want I'm h it's too much information in here
- 19:24Speaker 1: that it's trus My answer to go often a little bit.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I didn't know what to say to begin with. First
- 19:32Speaker 1: of all, I don't know how you got into wed
- 19:34Speaker 1: and just cast here, because you would have to be
- 19:36Speaker 1: a bride's maid to get in the wed and at
- 19:39Speaker 1: the assistance of the husband. I don't know no man
- 19:42Speaker 1: that has the power to pick bride's maids. That's for starting, Well,
- 19:48Speaker 1: the man won't accordant to you. You don't like him
- 19:52Speaker 1: because you like other women. That's your business, right. She's
- 19:57Speaker 1: married to a war so I really need to know.
- 20:04Speaker 1: She won't know what Charley should. She distance herself from
- 20:07Speaker 1: them so she could keep the peace. She doesn't want
- 20:10Speaker 1: any problems in their marriage because of her, that's all. Well,
- 20:14Speaker 1: why don't you tell the wife that you see in
- 20:16Speaker 1: one of the bride's maids she's married? Who married the
- 20:24Speaker 1: woman who wrote the letter? Sheryl into Peka, she's married. Oh,
- 20:29Speaker 1: she's married to a woman. I thought the only married
- 20:33Speaker 1: person in here was the dude and the wife, and
- 20:35Speaker 1: I thought that, oh, she's married too. For the record,
- 20:38Speaker 1: I'm a woman married to a woman, which means I
- 20:41Speaker 1: don't want her husband. Okay, huh, okay, Well that's great, dude.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Huh You're not good? Are we out of time yet?
- 20:51Speaker 1: The commercial right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning
- 20:58Speaker 1: Show coming up at the top of the hour, Miss
- 21:01Speaker 1: Hannah standing by with in Inauguration Day, National News, Yes Lord, yes, yes, yes,
- 21:08Speaker 1: plus an entertainment Day, y'all, it is the day. It's
- 21:12Speaker 1: funnily here, plus an entertainment, news, trending news from our
- 21:26Speaker 1: home station in Detroit, MIX ninety two point three. Today
- 21:30Speaker 1: is a special honor for Marvin Gay's What's going on
- 21:34Speaker 1: in the State of Michigan and President Trump Parton's former
- 21:37Speaker 1: Detroit mayor Kwami Kilpatrick. We'll tell you all about it
- 21:45Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, but right now, nephew
- 21:47Speaker 1: Tommy is here. Would run that prank back? What you
- 21:49Speaker 1: got for his neff? Lashing out? Lashing out? Let's go kid, Hey,
- 21:58Speaker 1: it's quashingelle. How can we lash out? I'm trying to
- 22:02Speaker 1: reach Bianca. This is Bianca. Hey, listen, my name is
- 22:05Speaker 1: Brian m my wife Jamie come up there and get
- 22:08Speaker 1: up eyelashes done? Is uh? Who who's the owner of
- 22:12Speaker 1: this place? I am Brian? What's going on? Okay? You be?
- 22:17Speaker 1: You're Bianca? Are you the one that owned the place?
- 22:19Speaker 1: I'm Bianca. I'm the owner. We opened about a year
- 22:22Speaker 1: and a half ago. Proud, happy, black owned, women owned,
- 22:25Speaker 1: woman owned establishment. What can I do for you? Okay,
- 22:29Speaker 1: here's the deal. I'm sick and tired of my wife
- 22:32Speaker 1: coming up there and then when she get back home,
- 22:34Speaker 1: she got these thick eyelashes on and they long as hell,
- 22:39Speaker 1: you know. I mean, it's these eyelashes thicking on somebody's mustash.
- 22:42Speaker 1: This is a damn shame, you know. Not un told
- 22:44Speaker 1: her to take this hold up? Brian. Now, I may
- 22:49Speaker 1: or may not be the person doing it. But whoever,
- 22:52Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure probably that sounds familiar. But whoever, we
- 22:55Speaker 1: have a lot of customers. But whoever comes in here,
- 22:57Speaker 1: they picked their lashes. We we you know, we collaborate.
- 23:01Speaker 1: But the girls are saying what they want done. They
- 23:03Speaker 1: pick it. So if they're thick, they're thick because they
- 23:06Speaker 1: want them thick. Okay, they're too thick, and then and
- 23:10Speaker 1: they're too long. Your our ladges ain't supposed to be
- 23:13Speaker 1: sticking away. I pass your nose. That's a damn shame.
- 23:16Speaker 1: But let me let me tell you what I'm getting
- 23:17Speaker 1: at though. Here's here's here's my reason for calling. If
- 23:20Speaker 1: my wife come home one MOI say, what can you
- 23:24Speaker 1: simmer down? Because I mean, I'm running a business here
- 23:27Speaker 1: and you sound crazy. They can hear you through the phone,
- 23:30Speaker 1: and the girls are looking at me in the chair.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on. I don't know. Can
- 23:35Speaker 1: you calm down? You're loud and screaming. All I'm saying is,
- 23:39Speaker 1: if my wife come home with these long, thick as
- 23:42Speaker 1: our ladges again, I'm gonna come up there and raise
- 23:44Speaker 1: holy hell at that damn place. I'm telling you the
- 23:46Speaker 1: truth about that. You're not what are you talking about?
- 23:50Speaker 1: Why are you threatening me? You are not coming up here.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I'm coming up there. You if my wife coming home
- 23:55Speaker 1: with them thick as long as our ladges again, I

- 25:50Speaker 1: some anger issues? Okay? I ain't got no anger issue.
- 25:53Speaker 1: The only problem, my god, is my wife having some long,
- 25:56Speaker 1: thick eyelashes and they further out than her nose and
- 25:59Speaker 1: thinking in us, somebody's much there. That's what I got
- 26:01Speaker 1: a problem with. Okay, you know what, Jamie just needs
- 26:04Speaker 1: to leave your because if you got an issue, call her.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Why are you calling us? It's people they put Why
- 26:11Speaker 1: wouldn't I call the people that put the thick lances on?
- 26:14Speaker 1: Why wouldn't I? Well, first of all, you need to
- 26:17Speaker 1: talk to Jamie and send her up here. We're gonna

- 26:41Speaker 1: bon I'll tell you what. You're not trying to fix. No, no, no,
- 26:43Speaker 1: you're trying to fix the problem. I'll be up there.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I'll be up there and I will bring somebody that
- 26:49Speaker 1: will shut that. Ay. Call the cops right now, Call
- 26:52Speaker 1: him now, Tell him somebody who's coming up here and
- 26:54Speaker 1: they threatening us at last out call see the three
- 26:58Speaker 1: girls calling right now in your little lass up here? Mother,
- 27:01Speaker 1: come on, come on, bringing bringing up here. Let me
- 27:05Speaker 1: ask you some is calming up there? Yeah, Carmen is

- 27:13Speaker 1: You know him? Carmen? Why are you asking me about Carmen?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Where's where's calming it? Right now? She's right here looking

- 28:08Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Matthew, Tommy, I was acting crazy. You got
- 28:12Speaker 1: to tell the nephew. What is the baddest and I

- 28:56Speaker 1: all about that. Yeah, yeah, you put some sunglasses on.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You can see him over to tap little sunglasses and
- 29:06Speaker 1: when you blink, your glasses go up and down. In
- 29:11Speaker 1: the top of the hour, we'll have some entertainment and
- 29:14Speaker 1: national news for you right after this you're listening to
- 29:18Speaker 1: show trending news from Detroit Mix ninety two three. Marvin
- 29:25Speaker 1: Gay's What's Going On has been recognized as one of
- 29:28Speaker 1: the most compelling songs of our time. The song was
- 29:32Speaker 1: released fifty years ago, and today, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer
- 29:38Speaker 1: has officially proclaimed Wednesday, January twentieth today as What's going
- 29:43Speaker 1: On Day in her state. Governor Whitmer says having this
- 29:47Speaker 1: tribute on the calendar provides us with an important moment,
- 29:52Speaker 1: one where we can come together as a unified state
- 29:55Speaker 1: to pause, reflect and appreciate where we came from and
- 30:00Speaker 1: and a need for ideas, perspective, love, and understanding. By
- 30:04Speaker 1: honoring the song, Whitmer ads, we hope to bring awareness
- 30:07Speaker 1: to Marvin Gaye's profound words, as his timeless music remains
- 30:12Speaker 1: in our heart and minds and continues to expire generations
- 30:16Speaker 1: to come. In coordination, Detroit's Motown Museum will launch several
- 30:22Speaker 1: virtual celebrations and signature events tied to Marvin and his legacy.
- 30:28Speaker 1: But a timeless, timeless classics a jail. Yes, it's relevant
- 30:37Speaker 1: to date, yet yes, especially for the last four years.
- 30:43Speaker 1: What is going on? What the hell going on. Yeah,
- 30:50Speaker 1: remember the governor of Michigan. They tried to kidnap her
- 30:56Speaker 1: and nothing was really done about it. Under this illustration nothing.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I want to see what's gonna happen with just people
- 31:05Speaker 1: that broke in this capital. I really want to see
- 31:08Speaker 1: if they get to charge this present. Listen to me,
- 31:11Speaker 1: somebody asked, it's going to jail. They're nothing to let
- 31:15Speaker 1: this do now. If Trump was still president, the d
- 31:18Speaker 1: J might not be moving on this. But no, man,
- 31:22Speaker 1: there's some people fing to pay for this. You you've
- 31:24Speaker 1: seen your last heel billy climb the wall at that
- 31:28Speaker 1: damn capital. That was great. Can we talk about the
- 31:32Speaker 1: pardon though? Can we talk about that nephew? Wimin't coming
- 31:37Speaker 1: home baby? Okay, Detroit ain't coming home baby. I love that.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I'm quam. I'm gonna call you. Ain't gonna be non
- 31:49Speaker 1: prank of nothing. I'm calling you, Okay, I ain't frank.
- 31:54Speaker 1: I I'm just saying I'm gonna call him and just say, yeah,
- 31:57Speaker 1: welcome back baby. The same number. I still got him
- 32:05Speaker 1: in my phone. I mean, I ain't tried to call,
- 32:07Speaker 1: but I get But seriously, that was what we said. Well,
- 32:11Speaker 1: we'll talk about it. President Trump nephew has granted pardons
- 32:16Speaker 1: to former mayor Kwami killed Patrick. This is true. Kwami
- 32:20Speaker 1: will get out twenty years earlier his public corruption for
- 32:25Speaker 1: his public corruption crimes. Lil Wayne played guilty to a
- 32:29Speaker 1: firearm possession as a prior felon. Kodak Black the Rapper
- 32:34Speaker 1: has pleaded guilty from buying illegal firearms, and Donald Trump
- 32:40Speaker 1: declined to pardon whow and he had his limo waiting
- 32:44Speaker 1: to Tiger King Joe Exotic. Remember he was really hoping
- 32:52Speaker 1: to come home. Well, so yeah, it's up to one
- 32:57Speaker 1: hundred and forty something people, the clemency Bannon. He could
- 33:02Speaker 1: have pardoned the Tiger King. Come on now, yeah, yeah,
- 33:05Speaker 1: all right, Steve, let's move on. It's time now for
- 33:07Speaker 1: today's headlines. Ladies and gentlemen, without further adue, please put
- 33:12Speaker 1: your hands together for the lovely, the talented miss Anne Trip.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Thanks Steve. Well this is someday right. This is answered
- 33:19Speaker 1: with the news ing good morning everyone. The presidents left
- 33:21Speaker 1: to be sworn in at around eleven thirty our Eastern time.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Later today, President Biden to participate in a wreath lane ceremony,
- 33:28Speaker 1: joined by former Commander in Chiefs Bill Clinton, George Bush,
- 33:31Speaker 1: and Barack Obama during this time, as that's when Biden's
- 33:34Speaker 1: things are going to be moved into the White House
- 33:35Speaker 1: and unpacked. Vice President elect Kamala Harris to be given
- 33:38Speaker 1: the oath of office today by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor,
- 33:42Speaker 1: the first Latino on the Court. Besides being the first
- 33:45Speaker 1: woman vice president, the first Black woman, the first Caribbean woman,
- 33:48Speaker 1: the first East Indian woman, Kamala Harris is also the
- 33:51Speaker 1: first graduate of a historically black university, Howard, and she's
- 33:54Speaker 1: a member of the Black American sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha.
- 33:57Speaker 1: And to be elected to the White House, she says,
- 33:59Speaker 1: aka Alpha Kappa Alpha changed her life. The theme of
- 34:02Speaker 1: the President elect Biden's inauguration is America United by the
- 34:05Speaker 1: Way Donald and Melani are Trump. Trump leave the White
- 34:07Speaker 1: House today, having committed one final act of presidential rudeness
- 34:11Speaker 1: as they go. Contrary to America's most enduring transfer of
- 34:14Speaker 1: power rituals, Trump's will not invite their incoming counterparts into
- 34:18Speaker 1: the People's House before they leave it, a courtesy extended
- 34:20Speaker 1: to them though by the Obama's Yesterday evening, though Donald
- 34:23Speaker 1: Trump released a video finally acknowledging that there would be
- 34:26Speaker 1: a new administration in Washington, never mentioning Joe Biden by name. Now,
- 34:30Speaker 1: as I prepare to hand power over to a new
- 34:32Speaker 1: administration at noon on Wednesday, I want you to know
- 34:37Speaker 1: that the movement we started is only just beginning. So
- 34:41Speaker 1: he seemed to suggest that he might throw his hat
- 34:42Speaker 1: into the political ring sometime in the future. Meanwhile, neither
- 34:45Speaker 1: Mitch McConnell or Vice President Mike Pence say they're going
- 34:47Speaker 1: to go to Donald Trump's final sendoff Riley this morning
- 34:50Speaker 1: at around eight at the airport. In fact, for the
- 34:52Speaker 1: first time, the outgoing Center Majority leader said plainly the
- 34:54Speaker 1: mob storm the Capitol was fed lies and that Trump
- 34:58Speaker 1: did in fact instigate direction. McConnell says, it's time to
- 35:01Speaker 1: move on, have a safe and successful inaugural right here
- 35:05Speaker 1: on the West front of the Capital, and then we'll
- 35:08Speaker 1: move forward. Our work for the American people will continue
- 35:12Speaker 1: as it has for more than two hundred and thirty years.
- 35:15Speaker 1: There are serious challenges that our nation needs to continue confronting,
- 35:19Speaker 1: so our marching orders from the American people are clear.
- 35:22Speaker 1: We're to have a robust discussion and seek common ground.
- 35:27Speaker 1: We are to pursue bipartisan agreement everywhere we can, and
- 35:30Speaker 1: check and balance one another respectfully where we must. And
- 35:34Speaker 1: through all of this, we must always keep in mind
- 35:36Speaker 1: that we're all Americans, we all love this country, and
- 35:40Speaker 1: we're all in this together. Was Mitch McConnell again. He
- 35:43Speaker 1: said that the good capital people of this people that
- 35:46Speaker 1: stormed it would fed lies. He said lies, and he
- 35:49Speaker 1: said Trump is the one. By the way, the now
- 35:51Speaker 1: outgoing president issued one hundred forty three pardons. That's federal
- 35:54Speaker 1: time among those benefiting. As you heard little Wayne Kodak
- 35:57Speaker 1: Black inform of Detroit Mayor Quamee Kilpatrick who serve seven
- 36:01Speaker 1: years for a corruption and today can be summed up
- 36:03Speaker 1: in two words, You're fired. Fired, You're fired. You're fired.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 36:10Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, today
- 36:15Speaker 1: is the day. At twelve noon today, I know Joe
- 36:20Speaker 1: Biden and Kamala Harris will take their oaths of office
- 36:24Speaker 1: outside the Capitol Building. No, I know, we can thank
- 36:34Speaker 1: you after the newly sworn in president will deliver his
- 36:39Speaker 1: inaugural address, laying out his vision to defeat the pandemic,
- 36:43Speaker 1: build back better, and unify and heal the nation. Biden's
- 36:47Speaker 1: escort to the White House will be followed by the
- 36:49Speaker 1: televised virtual Parade across America. The parade will feature dynamic
- 36:54Speaker 1: and diverse performances from all over the country the day.
- 36:59Speaker 1: The day festivities will conclude with primetime television show Sponsored
- 37:05Speaker 1: and It's a special sponsored and or hosted by Tom
- 37:09Speaker 1: Hanks that will feature remarks from the new President and
- 37:12Speaker 1: Vice president Vice presidents, along with performances by John bon Jovi,
- 37:20Speaker 1: The Foo Fighters, John Legend, Demi Levado, Bruce Springsteen, and
- 37:24Speaker 1: Justin Timberlake. Others taking part in the ninety minute event
- 37:28Speaker 1: include Kerry Washington, Eva Lengoria, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Y
- 37:35Speaker 1: So diverse, yes, yes, yes, yes. Trump didn't want any
- 37:45Speaker 1: Hollywood stars because he thought he was the star of everything. No,
- 37:51Speaker 1: he couldn't get nobody to go up there. Yeah, that's
- 37:55Speaker 1: more like it. Yeah, twelve today, Yeah, so two hours
- 38:03Speaker 1: after we get off work. How does the deal right now? Though, y'all?
- 38:07Speaker 1: I mean, we played such a major part in getting
- 38:11Speaker 1: everyone out to vote, going to the polls, and just
- 38:14Speaker 1: here we are now the day is finally here. We
- 38:17Speaker 1: kept pushing and pushing all last year, and they answered
- 38:21Speaker 1: the call. Time to celebrate. I actually think it's a
- 38:27Speaker 1: victory on so many levels, especially for us. Yes, this
- 38:32Speaker 1: is such a personal victory for me. For us, I
- 38:36Speaker 1: think this is a turning moment in history because for
- 38:40Speaker 1: the very first time, Pete Color were directly responsible and
- 38:49Speaker 1: it was obvious who it was as to who turned
- 38:52Speaker 1: this election around and who put this man in the
- 38:55Speaker 1: White House. It was even more obvious how all those
- 39:00Speaker 1: two Senate seats were taken in the state of Georgia,
- 39:04Speaker 1: and when it came down to the final ballot, when
- 39:07Speaker 1: Leffler and Padua win it, and when they went to
- 39:09Speaker 1: him counties where they started counting the black vote, we
- 39:12Speaker 1: saw it again. This is a turning point. I think
- 39:14Speaker 1: that black people have seen something that we never thought
- 39:17Speaker 1: we'd see. We've seen our vote count and now we
- 39:20Speaker 1: know we have the power. Yes sir, all right, yeah,
- 39:27Speaker 1: four minutes after we'll talk again to the cleaning supervisor
- 39:30Speaker 1: at the White House. Right after this, you're listening to
- 39:34Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well today as inauguration day. Today
- 39:40Speaker 1: is inauguration day for President elect Joe Biden and Vice
- 39:45Speaker 1: President elect Kamala Harris. As we all know, the cleaning
- 39:49Speaker 1: crew has been hard at work at the White House
- 39:52Speaker 1: moving all of Trump's stuff out, all of his mess out.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Let's check in with them. Now, take to back. Let
- 39:59Speaker 1: me get on on the right here. Uh, thank you everybody. Hey, listen,
- 40:03Speaker 1: this is uh Jake Trapper from CNN News and we're
- 40:07Speaker 1: here at the White House and we're dealing again. We're
- 40:10Speaker 1: talking with the crew, clean up crew, the moving crew
- 40:15Speaker 1: for the This is the last day and this is
- 40:18Speaker 1: the day. I mean, we're here, this is going down
- 40:21Speaker 1: this morning. Uh, sir, sir, sir from moment, go ahead,
- 40:26Speaker 1: go ahead. Sorry, huh sir from a Uh can you
- 40:29Speaker 1: give me your title that we went through this yesterday?
- 40:31Speaker 1: Just need your title, sir? What is it? I'm right,
- 40:35Speaker 1: I clean up, I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm I'm tief
- 40:38Speaker 1: Clean Officer, Chief cleaning Officer. And and you're you're you're
- 40:42Speaker 1: getting this the White House ready for exactly what, sir,
- 40:45Speaker 1: explain dripping get the White House ready for Biden to
- 40:47Speaker 1: get here. I'm the CCO. But yeah, I'm I'm I'm
- 40:51Speaker 1: I'm I'm we could Hey, what what is that we
- 40:55Speaker 1: open that up? What is that? What'sn't that bout? Wiggs?
- 41:05Speaker 1: How made up in there? God? He had a lot
- 41:09Speaker 1: of wink about fifteen week. I'm sorry, spake on my
- 41:13Speaker 1: side and burn side, sir, sir, cast you another question.
- 41:18Speaker 1: What are some of the some of the things and
- 41:21Speaker 1: situations that you're running up into as you're cleaning out
- 41:24Speaker 1: the White House. Well, it's a lot of it smelled.
- 41:27Speaker 1: What what's your name again? Uh? Crapper? What it was? Um,
- 41:32Speaker 1: it's a lot of there's a lot of stuff in
- 41:34Speaker 1: here that jake, Jake, there's a lot of stuff in
- 41:37Speaker 1: here that stink. I mean, it just stink, and we
- 41:39Speaker 1: just it's hard to get it out. So we didn't.
- 41:41Speaker 1: We didn't actually we didn't. Brought a pressure washing here
- 41:44Speaker 1: and we pressure washing everything walls. It's gonna be wet
- 41:49Speaker 1: for a while, but we got to get it out.
- 41:52Speaker 1: There's no way. Hey take them long ass time, will
- 41:58Speaker 1: use at the top stuff down them long time. Yeah,
- 42:03Speaker 1: we're tossed up down with that don't work? Yeah, go ahead, Ronnie,
- 42:09Speaker 1: Uh run let me ask you questions some things up.
- 42:13Speaker 1: A couple of questions. We've got some people want to
- 42:16Speaker 1: know anything. Items in the kitchen that may be left
- 42:19Speaker 1: or that you're noticing in the kitchen as your movie. Everything, Uh, Jacob's.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Everything in the friguated from McDonald from top to bottom,
- 42:29Speaker 1: everything and from McDonald They ain't had no regular food
- 42:32Speaker 1: in here at all. Now, I'm not downing McDonald's night,
- 42:34Speaker 1: but I just from top to bottom, even in the freezing,
- 42:37Speaker 1: it's frozen stuff from McDonald. Everything is from McDonald's. I
- 42:41Speaker 1: don't know what they were doing, but hey, well y'all
- 42:45Speaker 1: get them Bruce Lee. Well, y'all get them Bruce Lee
- 42:47Speaker 1: outfits from him to your own game and doing they
- 42:55Speaker 1: getting me one of them with it in a thirty
- 42:57Speaker 1: two ways? Give me one of them, all right, go ahead,
- 43:00Speaker 1: go ahead, Jake, Hey, Ronnie, can't ask you a question.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Have you have you had to move the boys room
- 43:06Speaker 1: out the sun? Have you had to move anything out
- 43:08Speaker 1: of the Sun's room. We cleaned all the Yeah, the
- 43:11Speaker 1: uh they had a dog and the dog, Oh lord,
- 43:15Speaker 1: the dog. We're gonna probably take care of him. But yeah,
- 43:17Speaker 1: they had a dog in now. Uh. The young bar
- 43:20Speaker 1: though he got money, he had a lot of money
- 43:22Speaker 1: up under the matches, plenty of money. It wasn't money
- 43:24Speaker 1: everywhere ndo them. I didn't understand what, sir? You sure

- 52:35Speaker 1: they said the flu season has been eradicated because of
- 52:38Speaker 1: everybody wearing their mask and stuff. There's just like no

- 54:14Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it for
- 54:16Speaker 1: you here. It is Strawberry Letter. All right, thank you, nephew.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Subject I want to do more than smoke with her.
- 54:24Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a forty one year old single
- 54:27Speaker 1: man and I have a great job, my own car,
- 54:29Speaker 1: and a very nice apartment. Ideally, I want to buy
- 54:33Speaker 1: a house and I'm working on it. There's a beautiful
- 54:36Speaker 1: woman that lives in my complex. She's got that nia
- 54:39Speaker 1: long vibe and she's a chocolate goddess. We've seen each
- 54:43Speaker 1: other in passing and I speak and she speaks back.
- 54:46Speaker 1: She doesn't have men going in and out of her place.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Excuse me, I went to the doctor yesterday. I am
- 55:14Speaker 1: COVID free. Thank you. Okay, come on, I had to
- 55:19Speaker 1: take a drink, okay of water. She doesn't have men
- 55:23Speaker 1: coming in and out of her place, and she rarely
- 55:26Speaker 1: has company at all at her place. Another one of
- 55:29Speaker 1: my neighbors said he's tried to get her attention since
- 55:31Speaker 1: she moved in, but she's not a friendly person at all.
- 55:34Speaker 1: I got my big break last week. While I was
- 55:37Speaker 1: in the parking lot cleaning out my car. I saw
- 55:40Speaker 1: her and I spoke, and then she walked over to
- 55:43Speaker 1: my car and struck up a conversation. She asked if
- 55:46Speaker 1: I smoke weed, and I told her yes. She said
- 55:49Speaker 1: her connection moved away and she's been stressed, so she
- 55:52Speaker 1: needs some weed. By the way, it's illegal in our area.
- 55:56Speaker 1: So I offered to buy her some and she agreed
- 55:58Speaker 1: to ride with me. I was nervous and anxious because
- 56:02Speaker 1: so many thoughts were running through my mind as I drove.
- 56:05Speaker 1: I wanted to ask her out, but I wasn't sure
- 56:07Speaker 1: if it was the right time. Then she mentioned that
- 56:10Speaker 1: she's been seeing different females coming in and out of
- 56:13Speaker 1: my apartment all times of day and night, especially while
- 56:16Speaker 1: we were all supposed to be quarantining. I tried to
- 56:19Speaker 1: joke it off, but I don't think it worked. We
- 56:22Speaker 1: got the weed and smoked it on the way back home.
- 56:25Speaker 1: She told me thanks and said she'd see me around.
- 56:29Speaker 1: I didn't even ask her for her phone number. I
- 56:32Speaker 1: want to do more than smoke with her. But what
- 56:34Speaker 1: if she thinks I'm a player and she's turned off
- 56:36Speaker 1: by that? How should I approach her? Or have I
- 56:39Speaker 1: ruined my chances? Please be honest. Well, she definitely thinks
- 56:45Speaker 1: you're a player, and she doesn't like the fact that
- 56:47Speaker 1: you have all these women during the quarantine. She doesn't
- 56:51Speaker 1: like that, But she thinks you're a player, because why
- 56:54Speaker 1: else would she mention that. It's interesting. I think she
- 56:57Speaker 1: noticed you. I don't know if you were high or what,
- 57:00Speaker 1: but I also think that you missed an opportunity to
- 57:02Speaker 1: set the record straight when she brought it up right there,
- 57:05Speaker 1: when she said that about all the women coming in
- 57:08Speaker 1: and out of your house. You know, just like you've
- 57:11Speaker 1: been watching her and noticing who's coming in and out
- 57:15Speaker 1: of her place, and how much company she has. It
- 57:17Speaker 1: looks like she's been watching you too. So I think
- 57:21Speaker 1: if you're serious about doing more than smoking with her,
- 57:25Speaker 1: you gotta step your game up. You gotta find or
- 57:28Speaker 1: create another opportunity to see her. Then you can ask
- 57:33Speaker 1: her for her number, call her and get to know her.
- 57:36Speaker 1: All right, Steve, go ahead. What he's done, it's on you.
- 57:42Speaker 1: He's done. It's on you. Okay. I want to do
- 57:46Speaker 1: more than smoke. All right, Yah, I go this way,
- 57:48Speaker 1: I see this. I want to do more to smoke
- 57:51Speaker 1: with her. I got you play forty one year old
- 57:55Speaker 1: single man, got a great job or card Night's department.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I want to buy a house. You working on it? Congratulations, brother,
- 58:01Speaker 1: year's gonna happen for you. Dreams come true. Beautiful woman
- 58:06Speaker 1: living in the complex, got that kneel long thing. Yeah,
- 58:10Speaker 1: we have seen each other. I speak and she speaks back.
- 58:15Speaker 1: So far, ain't nothing wrong with this. Letter's just going along.
- 58:18Speaker 1: She ain't got me in going in and out of
- 58:20Speaker 1: her place, and Rally has company at all, but man
- 58:23Speaker 1: observation specialist. That's the way to be. Doggie, don't let up.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Another one of my neighbors said he's trying to get
- 58:30Speaker 1: her attention since she moved in. But she's not a
- 58:32Speaker 1: friendly person at all. Oh boy, he ain't the one
- 58:38Speaker 1: to tell me she ain't friendly. He ain't the one
- 58:41Speaker 1: he tried to get her attention. He approached her wrong.
- 58:43Speaker 1: She don't want him. The hell you're talking to him
- 58:46Speaker 1: about it for? Then last week he was in the
- 58:49Speaker 1: parking lot cleaning out your car you saw spoke to him.
- 58:55Speaker 1: She spoke and then walked over to your car, struck
- 58:57Speaker 1: up a conversation. What she did? That sound pretty friendly
- 59:02Speaker 1: to me. That kind of acts everything that your homeboy said. Right, okay?
- 59:10Speaker 1: Then out of no damn where she asked you did
- 59:12Speaker 1: you smoke weed? Must be how you look? I got
- 59:16Speaker 1: the weed smoker's look a sudden way. I don't know.
- 59:20Speaker 1: I'm just throwing it out there, yeah, or either you know,
- 59:24Speaker 1: y'all little closer though where she'ther smell it coming up
- 59:27Speaker 1: under your dough? Wanted them too, But somehow she knew
- 59:30Speaker 1: to ask you. You told her yes, She said her
- 59:34Speaker 1: connection moved away. She's been stressed, so she needs some weed,
- 59:39Speaker 1: by the way, as legal in the ass, So offered
- 59:41Speaker 1: to buy her something. She agreed to ride with me.
- 59:44Speaker 1: She sold sound friendly to me. She showed something talking, laughing,
- 59:50Speaker 1: asking you you smoked weed? You said, yeah, Now you're
- 59:54Speaker 1: gonna take her to buy some. She jump in the
- 59:56Speaker 1: comrade with you. It's all going good right here. I
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: was nervous and anxious. So many thoughts was running through
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: my mind as I drove. I wanted to ask out,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: but I wouldn't shoot if this was the right time. Well,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: I don't see why it Wasn't you scared to ask
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: her out? Y'all? Driving to get weed? How much more
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: out you need to be? You're going to buy weed? Boy?
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Damn if she if she'll go with you to buy
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: some weed, I'm sure she'll go with you to get
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: something to eat. Right Hang on, Steve. We'll have part
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: after the hour. I want to do more than just
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: smoke weed with her. That's the subject of my Strawberry
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: letter for today. We'll be back right after this. You're
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: listening show, all right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters. Subject I want to do more than smoke
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: weed with her. Forty one year old single man got
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: nice apartment house, trying to buy a house, got a
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: nice apartment, in a car, trying to buy a house.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: This woman in the complex, chocolate God has got this
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: neel longe thing going on. He'd been trying to get
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: her attention. He speaked to her. She speaked back. But
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: she don't have nobody coming in out of place at all.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: She seemed like a loner. You know. Then you was
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: talking to one of your neighbors, he said, he tried
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: to get her attention, but she not friendly at all.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I told you test cause he wasn't the one. She
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: didn't want to be bothered with him. You was out
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: in the pocket lot cleaning out your car. You saw
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: you spoke to her, She spoke back to you. Then
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: she walked up to you and struck up a conversation.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I bet your ass stopped cleaning that car, then, didn't you?
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I would him. Then y'all got to talk in and
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: then out of nowhere, she asked you do you smoke weed?
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: You told her yeah. She said a connection moved the
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: way she'd been stressed out. She needs some weed. And
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: then you try to tell me, as legally in your air,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: that ain't none of my business. So you offered to
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: buy something. She agreed to ride with you. Now she
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: showed sound friendly to me, so that rules out what
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: your homeboy was talking about. I was nervous, anxious riding
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: in a cause so many thoats running through my mind
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: while I was driving. Whoa Lord? I wanted to ask
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: a house, but I wasn't sure if it was the
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: right time. Y'all already out here, you're buying weed. Perfect
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: opportunity she'll ride with She did get some weed, why
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: else she won't ride with you. You're gonna go get
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: something to You're gonna be smoking weed, You're gonna be hungry.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: One date lead to the next date, all right? Anyway,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Then she mentioned she's been seeing different females come in
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: and out of my apartment all times a day and night,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: especially while we were supposed to be quarantine. I tried
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: to joke it off, and I don't think it works. Well.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Now we're gonna get down to what the letter bad.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: We got the weed, smoked it. On the way back home,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: she told me thanks, saying she see you around. I
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: ain't ask her for a phone number. I want to
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: do more to smoke with her, but what if she
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: thinks I'm a player and she's turned off by that.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: How should I approach you? Or have I ruined my chances?
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Please be honest, dog, listen to me. Hell no, you
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: ain't ruined your chances. It's owning cracking. She knew that
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: women was coming in and out your apartment before she
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: came up to the construct, up to the conversation. And
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: you ain't got to worry about this stuff. Sherley talking
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: my Shelly. I don't know this game right here. I'm
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: talking to this man, Shirley. What you say, Shirley? I
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: said for him to step his game up. He just
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: missed an opportunity in the car. That's what I said.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: He should have asked her in a car. That's exactly
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: what you're usually. Let me tell you what this is. Well, idea,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: but I heard you say something that I didn't agree with.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: But any but don't I don't know. Never see, bro,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: here's a deal. The reason she noticed all the women
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: coming in out your apartment and you know, and you
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: know you're worried about she might thank your player. This
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: all soul could have piqued her curiosity. So Shirley was
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: right about one thing you've been checking out. She's been
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: watching YouTube yes, No, surely you weren't, Shelly. You ain't
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: write about everything the letter. What Shelly, what I'm saying,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I ain't saying I'm right about everything. But that's why
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: the two of us do the letter, so you can
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: give your opinion what you it is, always buy the
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: book and then I tell the truth, and I tell
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: the truth. Well sometimes what's okay? Well let me put
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: a che where you tell the truth all the time.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: Sometimes I lie. Sometimes I'm here tu. Yeah, that's what
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: I'm saying. And sometimes you got to tell people. And
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: so anyway, dog, but I think you need to do
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: is put tripping dog. This is what you need to do.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Drop a sack off over there. Yeah. I don't know
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: nothing about weed, because I ain't never bought no illegally
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: or illegally. But I do know that used to be
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: called a sack a quarter, a sack with four fingers
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: back in the day. That's probably three hundred five hundred
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: dollars now, but four fingers in the ziplock was twenty
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: five dollars. I'm pretty sure that's about eight hundred dollars
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: now or something like that. But you need to drop
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: a sock off or something over to the house and say, hey, listen,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I was just thinking about you. I don't want to
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: see you out that dealing with this. You know, I
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: think you're very you know, nice lady, and I don't
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: want to see you out here having to deal with
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: these people on this level, even though it's legal. I
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: don't want you to have to find a uh, you know,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: plug and all this. Hell. So hell, I just stopped by.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: I thought you might enjoy this, one of my favorites.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: This is Cannabis ex Old p. Ninety five and it's
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: a high level grader. You know, you're just giving a
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: trump up. You know, I've been smoking out smoking when
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: I was in Vietnam. You don't say stuff like that, y'all. Yeah,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: well he only forty one, but he went to Vietnam
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: on a vacation. But she ain't got to know that.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: You know, I was over numb and I bought this
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: in Vietnam and thought you did enjoy it. Thank you, sir.

- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Take a listen to spreadible delight and pride that we
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: delivered sixteen electoral College votes from the great State of
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Georgia to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. It was with
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: extraordinary joy and deep personal pride that we are sending
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: you Senator elect Rosiel Warnock, who will be sworn in
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: tomorrow along with Senator John Asoff. It is with extraordinary
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: gratitude that we say thank you to an administration that
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: has already started to show us what leadership looks like
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: a get And as we grapple with the aftermath of
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: terrorist attacks on our nation, I want to remind us
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: all that their terrorism only works if we let it
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: overshadow our joy. They're ignominy. Yes, come on, I like
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: that word. She is going to find a president one
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: day or something. Queer. I see it in her future,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: in all of our futures. Yeah, well I've I've adopted

- 1:08:59Speaker 1: She can call me uncle, you, brother, brother, but don't
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: say no, don't say I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I like her,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: but she is not no niece or nothing like that.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: What you're knowing your nephew is the brother is fine,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: That's cool. All this some some more people fighting for
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: won't the uncle? They gotta get their own damn uncle.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I'm sorry that, Steve. You know it. And if anybody,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: anybody come for Stacy Abril, they're gonna have to deal
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: with me. I'm tired of this, you know what, a
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: matter of fact, I'm starting a coalition. I'm starting the
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: coalition of brothers who are stand up and we're gonna stop.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: We're gonna stop all this. You you you you take
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: shots at these sisters like you want to come on now,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: We're not gonna have it no more. Yeah, We're not
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: gonna have it no more. Every time I sister try
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: to lift her boys up and say something, no, I
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: ain't having it no more. I'm starting to coalition. All
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: brothers gonna join me. You can just hit me up
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: on Instagram, but I'm gonna post it on Instagram if
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: I've adopted her, and that's it. So if you come

- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Now we're in the new year now, Yeah, yeah, yes,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: just think we've been pushing for a year one, yeah,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: endless like we've been doing this for quite yeah, the
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: whole year. Don't you want to break now though? Don't
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: you even want that break? Yeah? But it's to be done.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: I'm just looking for leading down just because quality leadership.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: At least do some press brief and you get to
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: see the president. Yeah, and there's so much to do,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: you know, you need a good leader to get in
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: and sort it all out. And he has a five
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: point plan for the first thing I want. I just
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: want somebody to not laugh all the truth, you mean,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: just every time you on your damn math, you just
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: lying dough right right, right, right right, and you're looking

- 1:16:50Speaker 1: All right. More of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: up at thirty three minutes after the hour on this
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: inauguration day. Yes, you're listening to this Dave Hard Morning Show.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Trending news from Detroit Mix ninety two three. Marvin Gaye's
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: What's Going On has been recognized as one of the
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: most compelling songs of our time. The song was released
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: fifty years ago and today Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: officially proclaimed Wednesday, January twentieth today as What's going On
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Day in her state. Governor Whitmer says having this tribute
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: on the calendar provides us with an important moment, one
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: where we can come together as a unified state to pause,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: reflect and appreciate where we came from and a need
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: for ideas, perspective, love, and understanding. By honoring the song,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: Whitmer ads, we hope to bring awareness to Marvin Gaye's
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: profound words, as his timeless music remains in our heart
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: and minds and continues to expire generations to come. In coordination,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Detroit's Motown Museum will launch several virtual celebrations and signature
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: events tied to Marvin and his legacy. But a timeless,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: timeless classics. That's all right there, that's a bad jail. Yes,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: it's relevant to date, Yes, especially for the last four years.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: What is going on? What the hell going on? Yeah?
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: Remember the governor of Michigan. They tried to kidnap her
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: and nothing was really done about it under this administration. Nothing.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: I want to see what's gonna happen with these people
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: have broke in this capital. I really want to see
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: if they get charge press. Listen to somebody asked, it's
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: going to jail. They're nothing to let this do. Now,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: if Trump was still president, the DJ might not be
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: moving on this. But no, man, it's some people fit
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: to pay for this. You you've seen your last hell
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: billy climb the wall at that damn capital. That was great.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: Can we talk about the pardon though? Can we talk
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: about that? My nephew's uamin't coming home baby, Okay, Detroit,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Sam ain't coming home baby. I love that. I'm Kwame.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna call you. Ain't gonna be no prank of nuhing.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: I'm calling you, okay, Frank I I'm just saying I'm
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: gonna call him and just say, yeah, welcome back baby.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: I had the same number. I still got him in
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: my phone. I mean, I ain't tried to call, but
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: I yea. But seriously, that was what we said. Well,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: we'll talk about it. President Trump. Nephew has granted pardons
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: to former mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. This it's true. Kwame will
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: get out twenty years earlier his public corruption for his
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: public corruption crimes. Little Wayne played guilty to a firearm
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: possession as a prior felon. It's up to one hundred
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: and forty something people. All right, John, when we come back,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: last break of the day and Steve's closing remarks, you
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: don't want to miss them. We'll be back at forty
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: nine after you're listening to all right, Steve. Here we are,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: last break of the day and a couple of hours,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: we will have a brand new president and by and
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: you know, and look, it's it's been a long time coming.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: And you know, we put a lot of hard work
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: in to make this happen. But it did, but it did,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: and you know, we're all looking forward to just a
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: change in leadership where with sounds, we want the sounds
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: that come from the White House to sound like someone
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: who cares. That sounds like someone who gets it. We
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: just want the rhetoric that comes from the White House
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: to be the rhetoric of a concerned leader. Now listen
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: to me, Joe Biden is not that your savior. He's not.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: He's not gonna solve all of your problems. He's not.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, he can't. He can't. He's
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: gonna be fault every good idea he has, it's gonna
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: be a fight. There's a thing in place called politics, y'all.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: And I also want you to be aware that, in
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: spite of all of this, the joy that you feel
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: with the removal of Donald Trump, and the hope and
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: promise you have in Biden and Harris, I want you
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: to understand none of this works without you. None of
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: this works unless you develop the right mindset in twenty
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: twenty one, because I want to remind you all of something.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: We are still in a global pandemic. It is not lessening,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: it is worsening. We are still in a global pandemic.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: But even in the midst of this global pandemic, that
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: is still an upside for all of us. And so
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: I choose to look at twenty twenty one this way.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: First of all, I'm filled with such gratitude that God
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: let me survive twenty twenty. Twenty twenty was challenging man
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: for all of us on so many levels, and for
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: some of us even more so. Some of us lost
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: loved ones to this thing man, and so it's been
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: even more challenging for those people. It hasn't been life ending,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: but it has been life altering. And when you lose
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: a loved one man. It's life altering, make no mistake
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: about it. All of us on this show know what
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: that feels like. So I'm not saying that. But what
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: I am saying is the fact that if God allowed
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: you to survive twenty twenty and if placed you here
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: at the door of twenty twenty one, it is opening.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: We are all walking down the hall of twenty twenty one. Now,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: just remember this man, put your faith away and belongs
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: in God. Biden and Harris is gonna be better than him.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: How could it not be. But listen to me, man,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: don't don't hang your hopes on this ticket here, put
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: your ticket on God. I'm just telling you Biden and
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Harris are still human beings, and they need prayer. They
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: need help, they need support. They need a Senate, they
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: need a house, they need all that to pull that
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: stuff off. In order to pull your life off and
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: pull it together, you need God. You have nothing to
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: do with the Senate. You've made your vote. We got
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: who in the Senate who we can put in that.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: We've voted for Senate, We've voted for president and vice president.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: We've done the vote to get your life together, though,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: it ain't gonna have nothing to do it to send it,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: to get your life together. It's gonna have to do
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: with your relationship with God. It is the most important
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: relationship you have. You should cultivate that. In twenty twenty one, Yard,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: get your mind wrapped around the fact, man, that you
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: can accomplish some great things with God, that all things
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: are possible with him, that you can get your dreams
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: on track. In spite of the pandemic. God shows up
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: and shows out some of his best workers in the
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: middle of a crisis. That's how you have miracles. You
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: gotta have crisis to have miracles. Man, There ain't no miracles.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: Ain't just good stuff happening. Good stuff happen. Miracles come
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: from miraculous things. That's how you get a miracle. Something
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: miraculous happens in the face, in the face of the odds,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: in the face of all adversity, in the face if
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: it looked like it ain't no way, something happens anyway.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: That's a miracle. You know why, Because a miracle came
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: about because something miraculous needed to happen. God shows up
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: at miraculous moments. Man, I look at my life, Man,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: On a personal note, I think of everything I have,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: man came out of the heels of some adversity, some
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: dog moment. Every time I rise, man, it's because somebody
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: said he down for the count. He ain't gonna come
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: back from that. Every good and perfect thing that's happened
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: to me is because something happened to me before that
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: that looked like it's to was signifying the end. It didn't.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: God always shows up, man, he shows up. Expect him
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: to show up, Look for him to show up, and
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: ask him to show up, and let twenty twenty one
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: be a better year for you than twenty twenty. But
