- 0:15Speaker 1: So number one, make sure you download the Ben Ferguson
- 0:19Speaker 1: podcast every day of the convention. As I said, some
- 0:23Speaker 1: very big interviews with some very very very big guests
- 0:27Speaker 1: will be joining me at the convention. So that is
- 0:30Speaker 1: number one. I just want to make sure you guys
- 0:32Speaker 1: have that programming note. Okay, now onto the big news,
- 0:37Speaker 1: and I'm going to give you kind of a recap
- 0:39Speaker 1: because I think it's important to talk about what's happened
- 0:42Speaker 1: over the last several days.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Before the quote big boy.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Press conference, the President of the United States of America
- 0:49Speaker 1: did that interview with George Stepanopolis. That didn't work. It
- 0:53Speaker 1: didn't make everything better. That is when publicly you started
- 0:59Speaker 1: to see the Democratic Party really unravel publicly. They'd already
- 1:05Speaker 1: done it privately after the first debate, but the White
- 1:08Speaker 1: House was like, hey, it was just.
- 1:09Speaker 2: A bad night, give us a second chance.
- 1:11Speaker 1: The second chance was the Stepanopolis interview that didn't stop
- 1:15Speaker 1: the bleeding. Democrats then started coming out and publicly saying
- 1:20Speaker 1: we want another candidate. Now, the reason why they did
- 1:24Speaker 1: that is because they don't want to lose power. That's
- 1:27Speaker 1: the whole ballgame here, and I think that's been pretty clear.
- 1:32Speaker 1: After Stepanopolis happened. Not only did you have Democrats publicly
- 1:37Speaker 1: saying we need a new candidate, but then you had
- 1:41Speaker 1: the staff around the President of the United States of
- 1:43Speaker 1: America start to jump ship on him as well, and
- 1:47Speaker 1: that's when the dam really started to break.
- 1:50Speaker 2: That is where we are right now.
- 1:52Speaker 1: All right, You've got a situation now where the President
- 1:56Speaker 1: of the United States of America is losing his staff.
- 2:00Speaker 1: The leagues that are coming from inside the White House
- 2:03Speaker 1: are significant, and you're starting to lose cabinet members that
- 2:10Speaker 1: are now leaking about how they never see the president,
- 2:14Speaker 1: they never meet with the president, they haven't had a
- 2:16Speaker 1: cabinet meeting in over eight months. When they do meet
- 2:19Speaker 1: with the president, they have to submit their questions beforehand,
- 2:23Speaker 1: and then they're being told how he's going to answer
- 2:25Speaker 1: and when he's going to answer, and to be ready
- 2:28Speaker 1: to answer these questions. So everything is scripted, nothing is real.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I have been very lucky in my career to be
- 2:36Speaker 1: around presidents. I can tell you it doesn't work this way,
- 2:41Speaker 1: whether it was when I was working as a sagon
- 2:43Speaker 1: on the Bush campaign in two thousand and four, working
- 2:47Speaker 1: with the white House after that after we won that election,
- 2:51Speaker 1: whether it is around candidates that are running for the
- 2:53Speaker 1: presidency and having the meetings at the top level, you
- 2:56Speaker 1: don't have submitting of questions at that level. My mentor
- 3:02Speaker 1: was former Secretary or say Attorney General John Ashcroft. I
- 3:08Speaker 1: can tell you don't not have meetings with the president
- 3:12Speaker 1: number one, and you don't have meetings that are scripted
- 3:14Speaker 1: the way that they've been described.
- 3:16Speaker 2: This is not normal.
- 3:17Speaker 1: This has been done solely because of the cognitive decline
- 3:20Speaker 1: of Joe Biden. I've been around Donald Trump, in fact,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I was in the Oval days before his final State
- 3:29Speaker 1: of the Union, and this is not how that White
- 3:32Speaker 1: House worked either. I can tell you from people that
- 3:35Speaker 1: I know that worked with Bill Clinton, that worked with
- 3:38Speaker 1: Barack Obama, this is not how it worked in any
- 3:40Speaker 1: white House. It is absurd to imply that this is
- 3:43Speaker 1: how it works. To the cabinet. Now we know that
- 3:46Speaker 1: this isn't, by the way normal. As much as the
- 3:48Speaker 1: White House tries to claim that this is somehow very normal.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And the reason why I say that is because it's
- 3:53Speaker 1: the actual cabinet members of Joe Biden's cabinet that are leaking. Now,
- 3:57Speaker 1: why would they be leaking. People have asked this quest
- 4:00Speaker 1: of me, and I'm going to answer it quickly. They're
- 4:03Speaker 1: leaking because they don't want to lose their job as
- 4:05Speaker 1: a cabinet member. So they if they believe they're going
- 4:09Speaker 1: to lose, right, then they want another candidate so maybe
- 4:13Speaker 1: they can keep their job. The candidate that they seem
- 4:16Speaker 1: to all be coalescing around is the one that they
- 4:19Speaker 1: believe is the easiest one to replace the president, and
- 4:22Speaker 1: that is Kamala Harris. It's not because she's necessarily the
- 4:25Speaker 1: best one. It's because she's the easiest one. Okay, That's
- 4:30Speaker 1: the real reason here, and people need to understand that
- 4:34Speaker 1: this is the real reason why.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It is she's the easiest.
- 4:39Speaker 1: She can keep the same campaign apparatus, which also, by
- 4:42Speaker 1: the way, means that everybody in the Biden campaign keeps
- 4:44Speaker 1: their job. It means that everybody at the White House
- 4:47Speaker 1: has a very good chance of keeping their jobs. It
- 4:50Speaker 1: means that everybody in the cabinet has a very good
- 4:52Speaker 1: chance of keeping their job or the best chance of
- 4:55Speaker 1: keeping their job. It is friendlies right among them, so
- 5:00Speaker 1: they're trying to do this. Now here's the other thing.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I think there's a real chance now that the Democrats
- 5:06Speaker 1: in the cabinet are floating these stories out there that
- 5:11Speaker 1: they have not seen the president, that the President doesn't
- 5:14Speaker 1: talk to them, that they have to submit their questions right.
- 5:17Speaker 2: The list goes on and on. And the reason why
- 5:19Speaker 2: they're doing this is.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Because I think they're actually looking at the real possibility
- 5:23Speaker 1: of the twenty fifth Amendment. And if they decided to
- 5:25Speaker 1: pull the twenty fifth Amendment on the President of the
- 5:27Speaker 1: United States of America, their boss who they're supposed to
- 5:29Speaker 1: serve at the privilege of they're going to get rid
- 5:32Speaker 1: of him that way, so then they can keep their
- 5:35Speaker 1: jobs in a cabinet with Kamala Harris, and that would
- 5:37Speaker 1: probably be the deal that they're making with Kamala right now.
- 5:41Speaker 1: You also look at the top advisors of the president
- 5:43Speaker 1: that are leaking right now, and they keep saying things like,
- 5:47Speaker 1: we're really angry, we're really frustrated, We're trying to figure
- 5:50Speaker 1: out how to get him to come to a census.
- 5:52Speaker 2: We're trying to get him to figure out how to
- 5:53Speaker 2: come together.
- 5:54Speaker 1: We're trying to get him to understand this is what
- 5:56Speaker 1: he needs to do for the presidency, for the good
- 5:59Speaker 1: of the party.
- 6:00Speaker 2: All that's crap.
- 6:03Speaker 1: This is also they keep their power because remember, every
- 6:06Speaker 1: one of them is out of a job if Joe
- 6:08Speaker 1: Biden loses to Donald Trump. This is about self preservation.
- 6:14Speaker 1: It's not about what's best for the country. It is
- 6:17Speaker 1: about self preservation. And that is the entire conversation that
- 6:22Speaker 1: they're having behind the scenes. Now I put all that
- 6:26Speaker 1: together to then play the next part of them trying
- 6:29Speaker 1: to get rid of the president. We are now hearing
- 6:33Speaker 1: that donors are stopping the funds. They're saying, we're done
- 6:39Speaker 1: the funds, We're done with We're not going to release
- 6:44Speaker 1: any more of the money that we've pledged to the
- 6:46Speaker 1: President of the United States of America and Joe Biden's
- 6:48Speaker 1: campaign because we want you gone.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I want you to take a listen to when this
- 6:55Speaker 2: news broke.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Breaking this hour or New York Times reporting, donors have
- 7:02Speaker 3: told the largest pro Biden superpack that roughly ninety million
- 7:06Speaker 3: dollars in pledges are now frozen if Biden remains at
- 7:11Speaker 3: the top of the ticket, but this may only be
- 7:13Speaker 3: the beginning. Reports claim a coordinated Democratic rebellion is set
- 7:18Speaker 3: to unfold during a brutal forty eight hour stretch for Biden.
- 7:22Speaker 3: An eighteenth Democrat lawmaker just called for Biden's exit ninety
- 7:26Speaker 3: minutes ago. Now we're learning that President Biden privately met
- 7:30Speaker 3: with White House Minority Leader Jeffreys after his solo press
- 7:34Speaker 3: conference last night, where he made several embarrassing mistakes on
- 7:37Speaker 3: the world stage.
- 7:40Speaker 1: This is again all orchestrated, and they're now laying out
- 7:46Speaker 1: the plan, and you can watch the plan taking shape.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You have the money dry out, you have elected officials
- 7:55Speaker 1: come in and say we're done.
- 7:58Speaker 2: You have.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Other elected officials start leaking, you have cabinet members start leaking,
- 8:05Speaker 1: you have everybody leak everything, and you just keep hammering
- 8:11Speaker 1: at him until he doesn't.
- 8:12Speaker 2: See a pathway forward.
- 8:15Speaker 1: This also is a strategy that is going to be
- 8:17Speaker 1: interesting because I don't think Joe Biden cares. I think
- 8:21Speaker 1: he's holding the Democratic Party hostage at this point, saying
- 8:24Speaker 1: if it ain't me, it ain't gonna be you either. Hey, Kamala,
- 8:27Speaker 1: you think you're gonna get this without me?
- 8:29Speaker 2: You're wrong.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, all these elitists and donors like, I think
- 8:33Speaker 1: this guy is irrational and digging in. I think any
- 8:38Speaker 1: irrational person would look at what's happening right now and say, okay, hey,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I am too old, right.
- 8:43Speaker 2: But he's not rational.
- 8:45Speaker 1: He has Parkinson's or dementia or Alzheimer's or who knows
- 8:49Speaker 1: what the hell he's got. But it's clear that logic
- 8:53Speaker 1: is not going to work with him at all. President Trump,
- 8:58Speaker 1: by the way, capitalize on these massive mistakes. He was
- 9:02Speaker 1: asked on Clay and Buck Good Friend of Mine show
- 9:05Speaker 1: today about Biden's undoubtedly bad press conference and getting names wrong,
- 9:13Speaker 1: for example, like he did when he was introducing Zolensky
- 9:16Speaker 1: and called him Putin. I want you to hear what
- 9:19Speaker 1: Donald Trump said on Klaimbucks show as he was talking
- 9:24Speaker 1: about the massive Zolensky slash Putin intro mistake. If you
- 9:29Speaker 1: missed it, it was cringeworthy. You had Joe Biden talking
- 9:35Speaker 1: about Zelensky calling him Vladimir Putin.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Here's what Trump had to say about it. What's your takeaway?
- 9:41Speaker 4: Because the New York Times and a lot of others
- 9:43Speaker 4: seem like they thought it could be the end, but
- 9:46Speaker 4: doesn't really seem like the end.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Well, it's not the end for him, because when you
- 9:51Speaker 5: control the delegates, it's never the end. I mean, there's
- 9:54Speaker 5: nothing anybody can do. So as long as he wants
- 9:56Speaker 5: to continue doing this, he's going to be able to
- 9:59Speaker 5: do that to do anything else. But I thought the
- 10:02Speaker 5: worst part of the press conference was the moment during
- 10:06Speaker 5: the day when he introduced Zelenski and he introduced them
- 10:12Speaker 5: as Vladimir Putin. That was not good. That was unpardonable.
- 10:16Speaker 2: You can't do that.
- 10:17Speaker 5: You know, there are things you can do, things you
- 10:20Speaker 5: can't do. Was a bad one. So he introduced them
- 10:26Speaker 5: as Putin, and then I guess somebody started screaming at him,
- 10:29Speaker 5: and he corrected as much as you can. You know,
- 10:33Speaker 5: that doesn't get corrected very easily. So he went in
- 10:36Speaker 5: there with the yips. I think he went into the
- 10:38Speaker 5: press conference with the yips because, frankly, if he were
- 10:41Speaker 5: Winston Churchill, who was not bad at press conferences, by
- 10:44Speaker 5: the way, if he were Winston Churchill, his press conference
- 10:49Speaker 5: wasn't going to work out too well because of what
- 10:51Speaker 5: happened previous.
- 10:53Speaker 1: By the way, I think Donald Trump's absolutely right there.
- 10:55Speaker 1: You noticed how Donald Trump's not really trying to pound
- 10:57Speaker 1: him that hard. Like you notice that like he understands.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Donald Trump gets it. He understands that he wants Joe
- 11:07Speaker 1: Biden to stay the nominee. And every day that goes by,
- 11:11Speaker 1: it is less likely that Donald Trump will have to
- 11:14Speaker 1: run against Kamala Harris or whoever the hell else the
- 11:16Speaker 1: Democrats decided to put up, including people like Michelle Obama.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Now, Donald Trump.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Also is in an interesting situation now as well. And
- 11:24Speaker 1: when I say an interesting situation, it's very interesting situation.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Donald Trump has got to pick a vice president. And
- 11:35Speaker 1: you're trying to pick a vice president, which is an
- 11:38Speaker 1: important pick. You pick your vice president obviously, it's someone
- 11:42Speaker 1: that you believe can take over the job if something
- 11:44Speaker 1: happens to you, Right, that's number one that the people
- 11:48Speaker 1: would trust, that the people would get behind in your party,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and the people that are voting for you would like.
- 11:54Speaker 1: But you also pick a vice president based on what
- 11:57Speaker 1: they bring to the table. And you pick a vice
- 11:59Speaker 1: president many time I'm depending on looking at your opponent,
- 12:02Speaker 1: like what do I need and a vice president? Right?
- 12:04Speaker 1: What does the other guy have that maybe I want
- 12:08Speaker 1: to be able to counter? Who am I running against
- 12:10Speaker 1: and what attributes would be a good counter to that
- 12:15Speaker 1: person and that team. Well, not knowing who you're running against, right,
- 12:18Speaker 1: you're running against Biden, but you may not be, it
- 12:21Speaker 1: makes it a lot harder to pick your vice president.
- 12:25Speaker 1: And I'm sure Donald Trump has been holding out as
- 12:28Speaker 1: long as he has because like, all right, well, I
- 12:30Speaker 1: need to know who I'm running against and I need
- 12:32Speaker 1: to know what this looks like If it's Kamala, do
- 12:35Speaker 1: I change my vice president to pick? I think there's
- 12:37Speaker 1: a lot of arguments that you would based on who
- 12:41Speaker 1: the Democrats picked to go against you. Trump was asked
- 12:44Speaker 1: about that in his conversation with my buddies Clay and
- 12:47Speaker 1: Buck Listen.
- 12:48Speaker 6: Vice President, you've done a good job. I think of
- 12:51Speaker 6: creating a lot of different drama associated with who the
- 12:55Speaker 6: vice president is going to be. Can you tell us
- 12:57Speaker 6: have you made up your mind on your pick yet?
- 13:00Speaker 6: And second part of that, have you decided on how
- 13:03Speaker 6: the vice president is going to be announced?
- 13:06Speaker 5: I'd love to do it during the convention. You know,
- 13:09Speaker 5: the Republican Convention is a big deal. In the old days,
- 13:12Speaker 5: they used to do it that way. Now technology makes
- 13:15Speaker 5: it more difficult. I say no, it's supposed to make
- 13:17Speaker 5: it easier. It makes it actually more difficult, if you
- 13:20Speaker 5: can believe it. But I'd love to do it during
- 13:22Speaker 5: the convention, which would be, you know, or just slightly
- 13:26Speaker 5: before the convention, like Monday. Love to do it on
- 13:29Speaker 5: Tuesday or Wednesday actually, But for a lot of complex
- 13:34Speaker 5: reasons that you people understand, you pretty much don't do that.
- 13:38Speaker 5: And I have some really really good candidates, and you know,
- 13:43Speaker 5: maybe leaning one way and that changes sometimes, you know,
- 13:46Speaker 5: all of a sudden you see something that you like
- 13:49Speaker 5: or you don't like, and you lean a little bit differently.
- 13:53Speaker 5: But we have some very good We have a very
- 13:55Speaker 5: good bench. We have a very good bench.
- 13:57Speaker 2: How would you announce it? Do you call up everybody?
- 14:00Speaker 3: Like?
- 14:00Speaker 6: How many finalists would you say you have right now?
- 14:03Speaker 6: And is it like a job offer? Do you call
- 14:05Speaker 6: them up? Do you bring them in in person? Have
- 14:07Speaker 6: you thought about how you would convey that offer?
- 14:10Speaker 5: It's like a highly sophisticated version of the Apprentice? Yeah, okay,
- 14:15Speaker 5: if you think about it. And they're great people, and
- 14:20Speaker 5: they're really good. I got to know them very well.
- 14:23Speaker 5: I'd say four people think you know four or five people,
- 14:26Speaker 5: but I got to know them very well. Some dropped
- 14:29Speaker 5: out over the course of they didn't drive, you know
- 14:31Speaker 5: I had there were reasons why they wouldn't have done
- 14:35Speaker 5: as well.
- 14:37Speaker 4: So it's still open though, Sir, you're telling us that
- 14:39Speaker 4: it's not necessarily a done deal in your mind.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Is that right? You're still thinking it over.
- 14:43Speaker 5: I have no I'm going into great detail, but more ultimately,
- 14:49Speaker 5: it's more of an instinct. You know, you develop an instinct,
- 14:52Speaker 5: but I like to know all the facts before the
- 14:54Speaker 5: instinct kicks in. The people are fantastic, Like I watched
- 15:00Speaker 5: Jim Scott on television yesterday. He was fierce and great.
- 15:05Speaker 5: He was great. I watched Marco over the weekend on television.
- 15:10Speaker 5: He was incredible. JD has been great. You have a
- 15:15Speaker 5: man named Bergham who's a fantastic governor in North Dakota.
- 15:21Speaker 5: And you know, it's a state that's very very pressed,
- 15:23Speaker 5: was very successful, and he's done.
- 15:26Speaker 2: A good job there.
- 15:27Speaker 5: You have you have some terrific people.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Now, if there's any takeaway from what you just heard
- 15:31Speaker 1: from Trumpet's this he wants the vice presidential announcement to
- 15:37Speaker 1: be big. He wants it to be a surprise. You
- 15:40Speaker 1: notice how he floated all those different names there, Right,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I like Bergham, I like JD, I like Marco. Right,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I mean the list, you know, I love you know,
- 15:50Speaker 1: Tim Scott, And he went through that list. Now there
- 15:53Speaker 1: is a chance he's throwing us off on that list.
- 15:55Speaker 1: And there's another name in there that is on a
- 15:58Speaker 1: list but hasn't been talked about a lot to shock everybody.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Could he do that, Absolutely he could.
- 16:03Speaker 1: But the President wants this to be a made for
- 16:06Speaker 1: RNC convention excitement. He wants to excite the delegates. He
- 16:10Speaker 1: wants to control the media cycle. He wants this to
- 16:14Speaker 1: not come out in a leak. And I don't think
- 16:17Speaker 1: he's made up his mind that he said, probably to anybody.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Maybe in his head he's made up his mind.
- 16:22Speaker 1: But I guarantee you right now, outside of him, like
- 16:25Speaker 1: no one else knows what the hell's going on. And
- 16:28Speaker 1: he's doing that on purpose, which is by the way,
- 16:31Speaker 1: very very very smart. Now, I want to move over
- 16:34Speaker 1: to two other things that are important that Donald Trump
- 16:36Speaker 1: talked about. He talked about like how bad it is
- 16:39Speaker 1: to be Biden right now and how everybody's turning on
- 16:42Speaker 1: Joe Biden. And notice his demeanor when he's talking about this.
- 16:46Speaker 1: He was asked, for example, about George Clooney. Listen, do
- 16:49Speaker 1: you think.
- 16:49Speaker 6: Barack Obama is behind trying to push out Joe Biden
- 16:53Speaker 6: at all? Do you follow kind of this palace intrigue.
- 16:55Speaker 6: It's really kind of wild. In the two weeks since
- 16:57Speaker 6: you knocked him out in the debate, I mean, they
- 17:00Speaker 6: have just spun completely out of control. And I've been
- 17:03Speaker 6: reading the Barack Obama George Clooney comes out and says, hey,
- 17:06Speaker 6: you got to drop out. Can you believe how much
- 17:09Speaker 6: of a dumpster fire they are right now?
- 17:11Speaker 5: Well, I thought George Clooney was very disloyal, because whether
- 17:14Speaker 5: you like Biden or not, you know, he's been nice
- 17:18Speaker 5: to Cloney. I thought it was very disloyal, backstabber, third
- 17:24Speaker 5: rate movie actor. He was a television actor and never
- 17:27Speaker 5: made really a good movie, and so he's sort of
- 17:31Speaker 5: third rate. He goes as a movie actor at pluck Gable,
- 17:34Speaker 5: he's not. And you know, but I thought it was.
- 17:38Speaker 5: I thought it was a great actor of disloyalty.
- 17:42Speaker 2: And you hear him there. He does what Trump does
- 17:45Speaker 2: so well.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Right, he starts kind of ripping on Clooney, making the
- 17:49Speaker 1: little jabs there, talking about how I'm loyal. And then
- 17:52Speaker 1: you go to the Obama's, all right, what about them?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Are they undermining him?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Right now? Joe Biden.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Obama hates Biden, and Biden hates Obama. We know that
- 18:00Speaker 5: because that's been for a long time.
- 18:03Speaker 2: You remember, you guys, remember your.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Perfect age for us. But Hillary Obama wanted Hillary, not Biden,
- 18:12Speaker 5: and Biden never forgot that they hate each other. You
- 18:16Speaker 5: remember when I said that Bush and Marco had a
- 18:19Speaker 5: lot of problems together and they said, no, no, no,
- 18:21Speaker 5: we get along, we get along. I said, no, you
- 18:22Speaker 5: don't get along. You don't get along. And two debates in,
- 18:25Speaker 5: and by the way, Marco is doing very well, I
- 18:27Speaker 5: will tell you, But two debates in they started really
- 18:30Speaker 5: going at it. I said, I told you. And if
- 18:34Speaker 5: you remember the famous debates, we had those great debates,
- 18:37Speaker 5: the Republican debates actually among the greatest ever. But I said,
- 18:42Speaker 5: I told you when they started going at it, well,
- 18:45Speaker 5: these two hate each other. There's no question about that.
- 18:48Speaker 5: And why wouldn't Why wouldn't Biden hate because you know,
- 18:52Speaker 5: he really passed in a more prime time period.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I mean, what a gift like this is such a gift,
- 19:01Speaker 1: It really is it is a gift that you should
- 19:04Speaker 1: just smile and you should laugh if you're Donald Trump,
- 19:09Speaker 1: because it is a dumpster fire, like a true authentic
- 19:14Speaker 1: dumpster fire. Within the Democratic Party, they're all trying to
- 19:19Speaker 1: eat each other. It's survival of the fittest right.
- 19:24Speaker 2: They're all trying to figure.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Out how to get rid of a guy that can
- 19:26Speaker 1: ruin their careers, who, by the way, gave them in
- 19:29Speaker 1: many ways their careers.
- 19:30Speaker 2: And I'm like, all right, we're done with you, old man,
- 19:32Speaker 2: see you later.
- 19:34Speaker 1: So if you are looking at this from a conservative standpoint,
- 19:38Speaker 1: there's great things to be excited over. And then there's
- 19:42Speaker 1: the concern over things are so bad for Joe Biden
- 19:46Speaker 1: that we may not even get to run against him.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I want Joe Biden to stay the nominee. I want
- 19:51Speaker 1: Joe Biden to be the guy that I'm voting against
- 19:54Speaker 1: on election day. Democrats realize how out of control this
- 19:59Speaker 1: has gotten, and now they are just doing everything that
- 20:03Speaker 1: they can to undermine the president.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Let me give you another example.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer went on how it was one
- 20:11Speaker 1: of the late night shows.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I don't watch them anymore. They suck.
- 20:14Speaker 1: But she was on one this week, and she started
- 20:16Speaker 1: to kind of like, you know, pander and realize like, hey,
- 20:20Speaker 1: the writing's on the wall.
- 20:21Speaker 2: It was a problem.
- 20:22Speaker 1: And Michigan Governor Whitmore, we now have been told, will
- 20:27Speaker 1: not attend Biden's Michigan appearance. And Senator Gary Peters, a
- 20:33Speaker 1: steadfast Biden supporter, and another representative who's by the way,
- 20:37Speaker 1: vying for Michigan's open Senate seats.
- 20:40Speaker 2: So they're like all in right now.
- 20:42Speaker 1: They will also now be absent from Joe Biden's appearance
- 20:48Speaker 1: in Michigan, which is a state that you got to
- 20:51Speaker 1: win to win the presidency if you're a Democrat.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I think if you look at.
- 20:55Speaker 1: The math, this is an event, by the way, that
- 20:59Speaker 1: was supposed to be like hey, we're all united, right, Well,
- 21:03Speaker 1: so they're gone. That's the governor gone, number one. You've
- 21:07Speaker 1: got Senator Gary Peters, a step past Biden supporter gone.
- 21:11Speaker 1: You've got another congressperson who's gone, who's actually vying for
- 21:16Speaker 1: Michigan's open Senate seat. They don't want to be on
- 21:18Speaker 1: stage with him, they don't want to be with him,
- 21:19Speaker 1: they don't want to be around him.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Joe Biden is now toxic all right.
- 21:25Speaker 1: We also know, and this is a very interesting point,
- 21:28Speaker 1: that the United Auto Workers president is traveling for quote
- 21:33Speaker 1: a conference and won't attend either. He doesn't want to
- 21:37Speaker 1: be on stage with the President of the United States
- 21:39Speaker 1: of America. So what they're telling you is that Joe
- 21:43Speaker 1: Biden is kryptonite and we don't want to be around
- 21:46Speaker 1: sleepy Joe Biden, and the Democrats internal polling must be
- 21:50Speaker 1: dismal to appear with him on stage. So they're all
- 21:54Speaker 1: now lying and making up reasons why they're not there. Now. Look,
- 21:58Speaker 1: the other thing that the president's having to do now
- 22:00Speaker 1: is have a quote, vigorous schedule.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Right, I'm out there, I'm campaigning.
- 22:04Speaker 1: He had an event in Michigan Friday afternoon and creepy
- 22:10Speaker 1: Joe Biden got distracted as he was rambling in Michigan,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and I want you to hear what he said.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And this is the reason why Democrats are running.
- 22:18Speaker 7: And I think when Debbie and I well, just last
- 22:22Speaker 7: three years, I think we've made a lot of progress.
- 22:25Speaker 8: We made a lot of progress.
- 22:26Speaker 7: Remember everybody, Hi, how are you?
- 22:29Speaker 5: How old are you?
- 22:31Speaker 7: Remember?
- 22:31Speaker 3: No?
- 22:32Speaker 7: Serious, guys, you're thirty.
- 22:33Speaker 8: Okay.
- 22:34Speaker 7: So it's my daughter and grandad hadn't worked yet, but
- 22:37Speaker 7: I'm working on it.
- 22:38Speaker 1: But anyway, I mean, he just stopped what he says
- 22:41Speaker 1: when he's seeing this like thirteen year old little girl,
- 22:44Speaker 1: and he's like, Hi, how old are you?
- 22:46Speaker 2: It's so creepy. It's not normal.
- 22:48Speaker 1: And then he goes back to his you know, so anyway, right,
- 22:52Speaker 1: we'll go to this other thing. Biden also got very
- 22:55Speaker 1: dazed and confused and started rambling at the same event.
- 23:00Speaker 2: It was on TV. Here's what it sounded like.
- 23:03Speaker 7: And so I decided I wasn't gonna get engates and public.
- 23:08Speaker 7: I was always going to run again. I had been
- 23:10Speaker 7: vice president. I was a professor full professor at the
- 23:13Speaker 7: University of Pennsylvania at the time. And what happened was
- 23:18Speaker 7: that I was going to stay out of it. But
- 23:20Speaker 7: then what happened was remember down in Charlottesville, Virginia, when
- 23:24Speaker 7: those folks came out of the woods carrying torches and
- 23:26Speaker 7: Nazi banners and literally singing the same Nazi anyway, same
- 23:32Speaker 7: song sung in Germany in the thirties, and a young
- 23:37Speaker 7: woman was killed who was a bystander, and that young
- 23:41Speaker 7: woman I met. I talked to the mother, and the
- 23:44Speaker 7: press contacted Trump and asked him, They said, what do
- 23:48Speaker 7: you think. He said, there were very good people on
- 23:50Speaker 7: both sides, very good people. And I asked the God,
- 23:54Speaker 7: That's why I decided to run. That's why I decided
- 23:57Speaker 7: to run.
- 23:59Speaker 2: This is the most coherent story.
- 24:01Speaker 1: This is a guy that's rambling incoherently about being a
- 24:04Speaker 1: quote full professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
- 24:07Speaker 2: That's total lie, and then.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Regurgitates the very good people hoax that has been fact
- 24:15Speaker 1: checked and is also a lie, and he knows it's
- 24:18Speaker 1: a lie. So he's just lying on both issues, one
- 24:21Speaker 1: about his own resume when you're the president of the
- 24:24Speaker 1: United States of America, and so it's a disaster. This
- 24:30Speaker 1: is why the Democrats are clearly running now. Donald Trump
- 24:33Speaker 1: has also said something else very interesting.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Now. He is saying that Joe.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Should immediately take a cognitive test, and I will go
- 24:42Speaker 1: with him and take one also for the first time.
- 24:45Speaker 2: We'll be a team and do it for the good
- 24:47Speaker 2: of the country.
- 24:48Speaker 1: And from now on, all presidents of kendidate should be
- 24:50Speaker 1: mandated to take a cognitive test and aptitude tests, regardless
- 24:55Speaker 1: of their age. That is what the president form. President
- 25:00Speaker 1: Trump is now saying. Let's immediately take the cognitive tests.
- 25:03Speaker 1: All presidential cancl do it, should do it. This is
- 25:07Speaker 1: something that no one should.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Be able to avoid.
- 25:10Speaker 1: When he did this, it was a smart move because
- 25:13Speaker 1: he's again stepping up further by stating, look, he's not okay,
- 25:19Speaker 1: I'm okay.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Everyone should do this, regardless of age.
- 25:23Speaker 1: It's not just Republicans, by the way, talking about Biden's
- 25:26Speaker 1: apparent decline in both mental acuity and physical stamina. Democrats
- 25:32Speaker 1: are saying it as well. So Trump is saying, all right,
- 25:35Speaker 1: I'll go along with you, right, Democrats across the border
- 25:38Speaker 1: actively requesting him to drop out of the presidential race,
- 25:41Speaker 1: begging him to pass the torch to somebody else. And
- 25:45Speaker 1: we've all seen it. We've all witnessed it. I just
- 25:47Speaker 1: played it for you there. But Biden has remained, you know, defiant, right,
- 25:53Speaker 1: explaining that he would quote reduce the mounting fears by
- 25:57Speaker 1: letting them see me out there. That's their response, We're
- 26:00Speaker 1: not taking a cognitive test. You're gonna see me out there.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Trump calling on Biden to step up to the plate
- 26:06Speaker 1: and taking cognitive test, offering to take one as well,
- 26:09Speaker 1: is a very smart political decision. It's a smart decision
- 26:14Speaker 1: because you know, Joe Biden's not gonna do it.
- 26:18Speaker 2: He's just not We know he's not gonna do it.
- 26:21Speaker 1: He said, quote, I've taken three significant intense neurological exams
- 26:25Speaker 1: by neurologists. He then says that doctor say he's in
- 26:29Speaker 1: good shape. Do you believe President Biden? No, I don't
- 26:33Speaker 1: believe President Biden. I think he's lying to us, and
- 26:37Speaker 1: that's where these leaks continue to come in from the
- 26:39Speaker 1: people around him. So let's take another step back, okay
- 26:45Speaker 1: and look at this again from where we are now.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Jim Cliburn, who's a very close friend to the president,
- 26:53Speaker 1: has even floated this idea now that the president's got time,
- 26:57Speaker 1: that Democrats have time until the ninth teenth of August
- 27:01Speaker 1: to open our convention and we have till then decide
- 27:04Speaker 1: if we're going to.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Keep him or not.
- 27:07Speaker 1: James Cliburn said on the Today Show that he will
- 27:10Speaker 1: support Joe Biden's candidacy the Democratic Party right, and don't worry.
- 27:15Speaker 1: We've got until October the night or excuse me, August
- 27:18Speaker 1: nineteen to open it. So we're going to be fine.
- 27:22Speaker 1: But I want you to listen to even how this
- 27:24Speaker 1: is the guy that's supposed to be like one hundred
- 27:26Speaker 1: percent behind Joe Biden. He's even backing away from it.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Here's him from the Today Show.
- 27:32Speaker 9: Let's start with this news conference last night. Again, the
- 27:34Speaker 9: news conference was supposed to allay concerns that a lot
- 27:38Speaker 9: of folks have, many of them within your own party,
- 27:40Speaker 9: about the president's ability to do the job. He starts
- 27:43Speaker 9: by confusing his vice president was former President Trump. That
- 27:46Speaker 9: was just a few hours after he confused President Putin
- 27:48Speaker 9: with President Zelensky.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Did he allay.
- 27:51Speaker 9: Those concerns last night?
- 27:53Speaker 8: Well, those of us who are real close watches of
- 27:58Speaker 8: Joe Biden, we do know that he sometimes mangle words
- 28:04Speaker 8: and phrases. But all of that is almost natural for
- 28:10Speaker 8: people who grew up stuttering, and they do focus a
- 28:15Speaker 8: little more. And when you folks a little more, you
- 28:19Speaker 8: tend to use to lose the flow.
- 28:20Speaker 9: But you're not saying that what we've seen from this
- 28:22Speaker 9: president of the last few weeks is just the folks
- 28:24Speaker 9: of him stuttering.
- 28:25Speaker 8: I mean that he doesn't study now. He is still
- 28:29Speaker 8: working to overcome the stutering of his childhood. I've been
- 28:34Speaker 8: around that condition for a long time, and I know
- 28:37Speaker 8: exactly how it operates, but he has one of the
- 28:42Speaker 8: best minds that I've ever been around, and the people
- 28:46Speaker 8: who've been around him will tell you that. And so
- 28:49Speaker 8: I would hope that we will focus on the substance
- 28:53Speaker 8: of this man rather than these sometimes the misspoken words
- 28:58Speaker 8: and phrases and how he has run this country.
- 29:02Speaker 9: But Congressman, you've got seventeen Democrats, seventeen Democrats, one of
- 29:06Speaker 9: them is sitting usador who have called on their president
- 29:09Speaker 9: to step aside. Former Speaker Nancy Policy two days ago saying, quote,
- 29:13Speaker 9: it's up to the president.
- 29:14Speaker 2: To decide if he's going to run.
- 29:15Speaker 9: We're all encouraging him to make that decision because time
- 29:20Speaker 9: is running short. That is not a full throated endorsement
- 29:22Speaker 9: from your friend and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Should the
- 29:26Speaker 9: conversation about the president getting out of this race? Should
- 29:29Speaker 9: that conversation continue, No, it shouldn't. The conversation should be over.
- 29:34Speaker 8: No, the conversation should focus on the record of this administration,
- 29:40Speaker 8: on the alternative to his election, and let Joe Biden
- 29:45Speaker 8: continue to make his own decisions about his truct He's
- 29:50Speaker 8: earned that right, and I am going to give him
- 29:53Speaker 8: that much respect. If he decides the changes behind later on,
- 29:57Speaker 8: then we would respond to that we haven't the nineteenth
- 30:00Speaker 8: of August to open out a convention, and so I
- 30:03Speaker 8: would hope that we would spend our time now focusing
- 30:06Speaker 8: on the record that we would lay out for the
- 30:08Speaker 8: American people, remind the American people of what is in
- 30:12Speaker 8: store for them if probably twenty twenty five were to
- 30:16Speaker 8: become a law in any form. That is where our
- 30:20Speaker 8: focus are.
- 30:20Speaker 9: Will be a congressman again, how how is this a candidate?
- 30:24Speaker 2: How is this a candidate's candidacy?
- 30:25Speaker 1: Oh?
- 30:26Speaker 9: Candidate that can remain viable if you literally have a
- 30:29Speaker 9: Democrat every day calling on him to drop out of
- 30:31Speaker 9: the race. Downvalid Democrats. So we are going to be
- 30:33Speaker 9: answering questions day in and day out about the president's
- 30:37Speaker 9: of mental acuity. How is that a How is that
- 30:40Speaker 9: a campaign that can be successful?
- 30:43Speaker 8: Well, Joe Biden is focus on the future of this country,
- 30:47Speaker 8: and I always say the best predictor of future performance
- 30:52Speaker 8: is past behavior.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Jim Cliburn is like, well, don't judge the man by by.
- 30:59Speaker 2: What he's doing. Look at his policies. Okay, we'll do that.
- 31:02Speaker 1: They're failures, but notice he's lowered the bar so low
- 31:06Speaker 1: to try to convince you that it's okay to support him.
- 31:11Speaker 1: That he's like, well, we know he's bad, we know
- 31:13Speaker 1: he mixed up mains, we know he's senile, but kind
- 31:17Speaker 1: of trust that the team around him has got everything covered.
- 31:20Speaker 2: So it'll actually be okay.
- 31:23Speaker 1: That's the sales pitch you're giving on the Today Show. Now, granted,
- 31:27Speaker 1: he couldn't have imagined that the Today's Show would come
- 31:29Speaker 1: after him this hard, but yet this is exactly what
- 31:33Speaker 1: is happening. It's shocking, It is totally shocking. I'm going
- 31:40Speaker 1: to be at the convention. We're going to get a
- 31:42Speaker 1: lot of answers on a lot of this from the
- 31:44Speaker 1: Republican side. Make sure that you listen to the podcast
- 31:48Speaker 1: every single day at the convention. Hit that subscriber download
- 31:52Speaker 1: auto download button. I'll see you back here tomorrow.
