- 1:29Speaker 1: Making Conversations, the old Friend the Tori Turner. How you doing, sir?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Thank you for having me boss, I appreciate it. Thanks
- 1:38Speaker 1: happening for well you know, you know, I uh, when
- 1:42Speaker 1: I started this show, money Making Conversations, and um, it's
- 1:46Speaker 1: about entrepreneurship. It's about entertainment. Um. And I'm out there
- 1:51Speaker 1: managing Steve's career, management, own writing and producing career. And
- 1:54Speaker 1: uh and I've just, I guess, keep seeing the evolution
- 1:58Speaker 1: of you, uh, from a model, from an actor, and
- 2:02Speaker 1: I just wanted to take the time before we started
- 2:04Speaker 1: getting into the projects to talk about that evolution, because
- 2:08Speaker 1: I'm sure that they took you into some uncharted waters
- 2:12Speaker 1: talked to us about that transition. Yeah, well, you know,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I mean I I started my career in the entertainment business.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I was discovered by the four Minland agency when I
- 2:23Speaker 1: was nineteen, and you know, my career quickly took off.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I moved to New York and you know it was
- 2:29Speaker 1: in a lot of really major campaigns, from Abercrombie and
- 2:33Speaker 1: Fitz to Timmy Hill. Figure when did he started, Sean John?
- 2:36Speaker 1: He he made me the face of of the of
- 2:40Speaker 1: the line for a few years. And you know, I obviously,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know, thought about you know, I thought about my
- 2:47Speaker 1: life a lot. My parents always talked about legacy. Um.
- 2:50Speaker 1: You know, both my parents been married for the years
- 2:53Speaker 1: and um, you know, they always talked about legacy and
- 2:57Speaker 1: and um, you know, being at they always was skeptical
- 3:01Speaker 1: about me getting into the entertainment business. My dad works
- 3:05Speaker 1: for the government and my mother is on the school board.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Nothing career that's career employment right there, brother, career employment exactly.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So I you know, I was doing really really well
- 3:19Speaker 1: in the fashion business, but I was always thinking about
- 3:22Speaker 1: what my life was gonna look like when I was
- 3:24Speaker 1: thirty and forty, and you know, I always thought about
- 3:27Speaker 1: down the road, and you know, I didn't want to
- 3:30Speaker 1: be the guy who you know, was still trying to
- 3:33Speaker 1: model or go to auditions when I was thirty and
- 3:36Speaker 1: forty years old. So really, um, you know, even though
- 3:40Speaker 1: I was doing really well, it was, now, you weren't
- 3:42Speaker 1: an interesting point. Yeah, you know, I was doing okay,
- 3:46Speaker 1: but it was an interesting point in my life. I
- 3:48Speaker 1: felt very Uh I was. I was depressed, and y'all
- 3:52Speaker 1: was you know. I had times when I was depressed
- 3:54Speaker 1: because I was just like, you know, this can't be it.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I know that that I want to do more. And
- 4:01Speaker 1: that's when I really started thinking about making that transition
- 4:05Speaker 1: into writing and producing. And you know, I when when
- 4:08Speaker 1: you know, I was staying in the house for days
- 4:11Speaker 1: at a time and just watch movie, you know, watch
- 4:14Speaker 1: older movies. I watched like everything Hitchcock made, and you know,
- 4:18Speaker 1: Stanley Kubrick and even Kazin and you know John Cassavetti's
- 4:23Speaker 1: I just started really getting into watching films. And that's
- 4:26Speaker 1: when I, um, you know, I started writing. I decided,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you know, I wanted to be a writer producer, and
- 4:31Speaker 1: I started working on my first screenplay, which was Video Girl.
- 4:34Speaker 1: M m M. Now he's an interesting thing about it.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I want to tell people about our relationship because when
- 4:41Speaker 1: he was modeling modeling and he was transitioning into acting,
- 4:44Speaker 1: and that's when we met on sitcom. And the thing
- 4:47Speaker 1: about him that I'm so proud of, and I have
- 4:50Speaker 1: to say, I take this with pride, which because he
- 4:53Speaker 1: was never satisfied with just doing the lines. He wanted
- 4:55Speaker 1: to understand the whole process. And so he's sit in
- 4:58Speaker 1: my office, he said, and just pretty much bug me
- 5:03Speaker 1: to give him enough information just like do he can
- 5:06Speaker 1: understood And it was always there. But but but but
- 5:09Speaker 1: that was a fearless nature about you that even back then,
- 5:12Speaker 1: you know, I knew then that you were not I
- 5:16Speaker 1: believe me, I'm not a visionary. I didn't know the
- 5:19Speaker 1: evolution of what you are today one of the top
- 5:21Speaker 1: producers and creative minds in Hollywood today, young minds. Let's
- 5:26Speaker 1: go and put that in prospective young minds in Hollywood today.
- 5:29Speaker 1: When you when you were sitting back there just asking
- 5:31Speaker 1: me questions, other producer's questions, what was the what was
- 5:34Speaker 1: the thought process? Because we would just bring you in
- 5:36Speaker 1: there trying to help you transition, give you an acting opportunity,
- 5:39Speaker 1: because you want to be more than just a model.
- 5:41Speaker 1: At the time. Yeah, I mean I just like I'm
- 5:47Speaker 1: I'm a big student of the business. You know, I
- 5:50Speaker 1: researched a lot of people's careers and you know, and
- 5:54Speaker 1: and obviously you know, uh, what you and Steve has
- 5:59Speaker 1: been able to do has been amazing. I mean, that's
- 6:01Speaker 1: that's it's really really big, you know, uh, you know,
- 6:07Speaker 1: entrepreneurial minds. You know, opportunities you've given to so many
- 6:12Speaker 1: people you know that look like us. I mean, it's
- 6:14Speaker 1: it's just you know, incredible. Um. I think for me,
- 6:18Speaker 1: I just wanted always, like I said, I always thought
- 6:21Speaker 1: about just having longevity. And I think when you when
- 6:24Speaker 1: you were able to create your own projects, you know,
- 6:27Speaker 1: I think the town has to respect you better. You know,
- 6:30Speaker 1: like you you're not just somebody waiting by the phone
- 6:32Speaker 1: for somebody to give you a job. So, you know,
- 6:35Speaker 1: when I even when I looked at the people like
- 6:38Speaker 1: the George Clooney's and the Brad Pitts, and even the
- 6:41Speaker 1: way you know, Brad Pitt and and you know, I
- 6:44Speaker 1: mean even the way Matt Damon and and that athlet
- 6:47Speaker 1: got into business by sort of righting themselves in the
- 6:50Speaker 1: business because they wrote good will hunting. Um. The feeling
- 6:53Speaker 1: that they want to ask me for. I just think
- 6:55Speaker 1: that the town, you know, and people like John Favreau
- 6:58Speaker 1: who wrote Swingers and he you know, he was acting
- 7:00Speaker 1: and stuff. Now he's one of the biggest directors on
- 7:02Speaker 1: our business. I just think that you have to be you.
- 7:05Speaker 1: You have to do more things than than just one
- 7:09Speaker 1: and you know when you can, you know, create your
- 7:12Speaker 1: own projects again. I just think that's that's just a
- 7:16Speaker 1: different level of respect in our business that comes with
- 7:19Speaker 1: that versus just being looked at is sole me just
- 7:23Speaker 1: a talent. Here's a great thing about it. On the phone.
- 7:26Speaker 1: He's on the phone. He's the creator and executive producer
- 7:28Speaker 1: the hit WE TV franchise Growing Up hip Hop, which
- 7:32Speaker 1: is currently in his fourth season and spending off a
- 7:35Speaker 1: Miami version to add to the New York in Atlanta series.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Uh Datari Turner, Tatari. Let's talk about that whole process. First,
- 7:44Speaker 1: the original concept, the original show, Growing Up hip Hop,
- 7:47Speaker 1: and now the franchise that we here we see on
- 7:50Speaker 1: TV the housewives type franchises. That is, uh, what makes
- 7:55Speaker 1: me most proud about what you accomplishing. You know, you're
- 7:58Speaker 1: making money while you're sleeping. Yeah, yeah, I mean you know.
- 8:03Speaker 1: But for me, I always you know, my my mission
- 8:06Speaker 1: statement in life. I just I feel like everything that
- 8:10Speaker 1: I do it has to have a real message of
- 8:13Speaker 1: why I'm doing it, Like I never wanted to do something,
- 8:17Speaker 1: uh just just for money, you know, because images are
- 8:21Speaker 1: really powerful, you know, you know, I mean they say
- 8:25Speaker 1: that what we do in Hollywood is not brain surgery.
- 8:28Speaker 1: But you know, if you really think about it, you know,
- 8:32Speaker 1: this is the reason why America is still a superpower
- 8:36Speaker 1: really is because of our entertainment business. We're not topped
- 8:38Speaker 1: in in education. You know, uh China, how many OWDs
- 8:43Speaker 1: half of us would be we are dead like crazy,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and then we now have other militaries that rival are.
- 8:49Speaker 1: So the reason why we're really a superpowers because of
- 8:52Speaker 1: our entertainment industry. When we release a movie, it's the
- 8:55Speaker 1: number one movie in the world. You know. Our movie
- 8:58Speaker 1: stars are the biggest movie stars in the world. Are
- 9:00Speaker 1: even all reality stars are? But I grown up hip
- 9:03Speaker 1: hop really was. You know, she's playing a long time ago.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You know. I remember when I created my first TV show,
- 9:09Speaker 1: to Olt and Hustler with Damon Dash at BT. You know,
- 9:13Speaker 1: Damon says something to me that always stuck with me.
- 9:17Speaker 1: You know, him and jay Z were sort of going
- 9:19Speaker 1: through their break up at the time. You know, they
- 9:22Speaker 1: both said when they when they started Rockefeller Records, you know,
- 9:26Speaker 1: they named their company after this legacy, you know, white
- 9:31Speaker 1: family because they didn't know of a lot of black
- 9:35Speaker 1: familacies that had black families that had generational wealth and
- 9:39Speaker 1: had legacies like the Rockefellers. So that always stuck with
- 9:42Speaker 1: me because at that time, you know, didd he was
- 9:45Speaker 1: coming up with them, and even Russell Simmons hadn't had
- 9:49Speaker 1: kids or been married to Camara yet, so they named
- 9:53Speaker 1: their company after this rich wife family, and I was
- 9:56Speaker 1: just like, that's you know, I'm thinking about that and
- 10:00Speaker 1: how my parents always talked about legacy. Now through hip hop,
- 10:03Speaker 1: you have these wealthy families that have second second generation
- 10:08Speaker 1: as well. So I just you know, when you know,
- 10:12Speaker 1: I was I hired you know, Angela's sister Vanessa Simmons
- 10:16Speaker 1: for a movie I produced called Dysfunctional Friends, and how
- 10:20Speaker 1: that came about, uh, you know, then the Chevy company
- 10:24Speaker 1: reached out to me. They wanted me to create sort
- 10:27Speaker 1: of like a web series for their site because a
- 10:31Speaker 1: lot of these brands now trying to really get into
- 10:33Speaker 1: content and so they exactly. So, so I came up
- 10:39Speaker 1: with a with a web series called Celebrity clauset Raid,
- 10:42Speaker 1: and I'll reach back out to Vanessa to have her
- 10:45Speaker 1: do it, because you know, they have these you know
- 10:49Speaker 1: clauses that have like hundreds of thousands of dollars worth
- 10:52Speaker 1: of close and she couldn't do it at the time
- 10:55Speaker 1: that she was pregnant, but she said, you should do
- 10:57Speaker 1: my sister Angela because she has you know, quarter million
- 11:00Speaker 1: dollars and shoes in in closes. So I hired Angela
- 11:04Speaker 1: to do this show and then we you know, we
- 11:07Speaker 1: became you know, good friends, and um, you know, she
- 11:11Speaker 1: was looking to get back in the reality TV and
- 11:13Speaker 1: so we both you know, set out to try to
- 11:17Speaker 1: get her a show and then we were unsuccessful in that.
- 11:20Speaker 1: And then that's when I came up with the idea too.
- 11:23Speaker 1: You know, I was like, well, how about we doing
- 11:26Speaker 1: with all of the legacy kids. Let's go get Romeo.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Let's go get Romeo mask the p I had just
- 11:32Speaker 1: produced a movie car a Girl Like Grace that Romeo
- 11:34Speaker 1: was in, and uh, you know, I went back to
- 11:37Speaker 1: Damon Dash, who I had who I did my first
- 11:40Speaker 1: show and now his son was grown boogie and uh,
- 11:43Speaker 1: it really was just me calling all relationship relationship exactly.
- 11:49Speaker 1: That's what Drift we did as well. Let's uh, let's uh,
- 11:52Speaker 1: let's get ready for the next break. Here my friend
- 11:55Speaker 1: I'm on the phone with I want to call my friend.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I want to call somebody that I met and saw
- 12:00Speaker 1: him just become a force in Hollywood, s Torre Turtler.
- 12:03Speaker 1: We bere back with more because we want to hear
- 12:05Speaker 1: about a boar, a girl, a dream, and that showtime
- 12:08Speaker 1: series that you're doing, the NBA Draft with Lebron James.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I'm back money making conversation. Not only am I back,
- 12:14Speaker 1: but he's still on the phone my next guests. As
- 12:17Speaker 1: you heard earlier, is the most prolific independent producer in Hollywood.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Thirty producer credits, six Sundance films, they ate Film Festival
- 12:26Speaker 1: Award nominations, and one hundred plus hours of original TV
- 12:29Speaker 1: programming for WE TV, Oxygen, b Et, TV one, and Stars.
- 12:34Speaker 1: And we just talked about. One of is the projects
- 12:36Speaker 1: to expanding becoming the franchise UM. He's the creator and
- 12:39Speaker 1: the executive producer of the hit WE TV franchise Growing
- 12:43Speaker 1: Up Hip Hop, which is currently in his fourth season
- 12:46Speaker 1: and it's spinning off a Miami version to add to
- 12:48Speaker 1: the New York and Atlanta series. Spending Off. Yeah, spending off. Okay,
- 12:56Speaker 1: you know when I hear that, man, that's all I hear.
- 12:59Speaker 1: When I hear that, Mr turn Mr Turner. Now when
- 13:02Speaker 1: you say spending up, I gotta say, Mr Turner. I
- 13:04Speaker 1: can't call anybody your first name no more, Mr Turner,
- 13:06Speaker 1: because you become the mogul. Now I'm following and footsteps
- 13:12Speaker 1: that people like yourself, Steve and and and you know,
- 13:16Speaker 1: magic and a lot of brilliant minds that have come
- 13:19Speaker 1: before me. I'm just you know, just trying to uh
- 13:23Speaker 1: to uh make it happen. Thank you. That's That's about
- 13:26Speaker 1: integrity in your series now, because you know, when you
- 13:29Speaker 1: have one, you can control it and you can you
- 13:32Speaker 1: can build in and you have to. Now you in
- 13:35Speaker 1: several different locations taping season. The cast. People have expectations,
- 13:40Speaker 1: people have personal goals. You might you might be producing series,
- 13:43Speaker 1: but other people come on these series. They have agendas.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So how do you manage all that? And with this
- 13:49Speaker 1: new show and then as as you were starting to
- 13:51Speaker 1: branch out, how do you manage all this talent. Their
- 13:54Speaker 1: expectations there, their managers, their PR people, they're trying to
- 13:58Speaker 1: market up. They see the this is a giant Info commercial.
- 14:02Speaker 1: How do you manage all this? Well? I oh, that's
- 14:06Speaker 1: a great question, Sean. I I think you know, playing
- 14:10Speaker 1: sports my entire life, I think that it really has
- 14:15Speaker 1: helped me in being a producer because you know, one
- 14:20Speaker 1: of the things that you know you're growing up playing sports,
- 14:22Speaker 1: you uh, you have to you have to play with
- 14:25Speaker 1: a lot of kids and you guys, even if you
- 14:28Speaker 1: come from different backgrounds, or even if you don't, these
- 14:31Speaker 1: are kids you would necessarily hang out with outside of sports.
- 14:35Speaker 1: You all have the same goal and that is to
- 14:38Speaker 1: win a championship. So you know, you gotta you guys
- 14:41Speaker 1: gotta work together to to to to meet that to
- 14:45Speaker 1: accomplish that goal. I think being a producers is similar
- 14:49Speaker 1: you think about like think about coaches in the NBA. Everybody,
- 14:53Speaker 1: every coach in the NBA can draw plays the same.
- 14:55Speaker 1: That's why they in the NBA. I think the coaches
- 14:57Speaker 1: that are able to separate themselves, like the Phil Jackson's
- 15:00Speaker 1: and the Popoviches, they they they know how to manage
- 15:04Speaker 1: egos better than other coaches. That's why they are where
- 15:09Speaker 1: they are. And I think for me being you know,
- 15:12Speaker 1: being a producer and trying to keep this franchise on
- 15:15Speaker 1: a number one, I can't do it, you know by myself.
- 15:18Speaker 1: You know, I work with a lot of talents and
- 15:20Speaker 1: people behind the scenes that that aid me and that.
- 15:23Speaker 1: But as a person that you know, has the relationships
- 15:27Speaker 1: with the talent and you know, a big you know,
- 15:31Speaker 1: just really believe in nurture in these relationships. Uh, you know,
- 15:35Speaker 1: the talent. Obviously you come up with things that their
- 15:38Speaker 1: their challenges and you know you're dealing with of course,
- 15:44Speaker 1: of course, but I think that you know what what
- 15:48Speaker 1: everybody what you know, we all realize in the end
- 15:51Speaker 1: and always stressed this too. Is that listen, you know,
- 15:56Speaker 1: this is this is a positive show. You know, this
- 15:59Speaker 1: is a this is about black legacy, This is about
- 16:02Speaker 1: black excellence. This is sort of like the Avengers of
- 16:05Speaker 1: hip hop families. You know a lot of times people
- 16:08Speaker 1: say that, you know, black people like, we don't we
- 16:11Speaker 1: don't come together like this like some of the other races.
- 16:14Speaker 1: So you know, these are things that I think Romeo,
- 16:17Speaker 1: I think him and him master P I think they
- 16:21Speaker 1: understand that um, you know, I think the Sinner's family,
- 16:25Speaker 1: I think they understand that. And you know, it's really
- 16:27Speaker 1: been a great it's really been a great experience working
- 16:30Speaker 1: with everybody. Like you said, it's it's always going to
- 16:33Speaker 1: be challenges, but for the most part, we we all
- 16:36Speaker 1: know that. You know, we're playing our party and something special.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Let's talk about this upcoming from A boy, a Girl,
- 16:42Speaker 1: a dream, a Namimne one take love Story starring Mr
- 16:46Speaker 1: Power himself or Mari Hoddrid come on that making good
- 16:51Speaker 1: j Ellis Kenya birds, come on, tell us about that?
- 16:55Speaker 1: And you said it was recently acquired by Samuel or
- 16:58Speaker 1: gold and Golden Films. Tell us about that project? And
- 17:01Speaker 1: uh and when when when would be released? Well, so
- 17:06Speaker 1: so you know, uh we premier at Sundances. Just so
- 17:10Speaker 1: lets just to take it back. You know how the
- 17:12Speaker 1: film Mark came about. Uh so this talented writer, director
- 17:16Speaker 1: Constant Resort, I met at the dinner that able do
- 17:19Speaker 1: renet through as Sundance and two thousand twelve and name.
- 17:23Speaker 1: You know, we're just throwing that name. Don't that name?
- 17:27Speaker 1: Like you know you did? Like she regular, like she regular,
- 17:31Speaker 1: continue continue, I was I'm a step on you a
- 17:34Speaker 1: couple of times shout out to a obviously doing the
- 17:40Speaker 1: true indostand in the business and a real, real Hollywood force.
- 17:44Speaker 1: But yeah, so mere constant. We stayed in contact over
- 17:47Speaker 1: the years, and um, he you know, always talked about
- 17:51Speaker 1: working together. He called me with an idea he wanted
- 17:53Speaker 1: to do I love story. Initially before you know, we
- 17:58Speaker 1: you know, sort of developed it out. And obviously, um,
- 18:01Speaker 1: you know, love is a thing that that buys us
- 18:04Speaker 1: all together. You know that we we all deal with
- 18:07Speaker 1: love every single day, whether we are fighting for love,
- 18:10Speaker 1: whether we're falling in love, falling out of love. You
- 18:13Speaker 1: don't want to be validated a boy love. It's really
- 18:15Speaker 1: all about love. And so, um, he said he wanted
- 18:18Speaker 1: to shoot it in one take. And for me, you know,
- 18:22Speaker 1: as a guy who's made a lot of film, you know,
- 18:25Speaker 1: I always I'm always open to challenges. I want to
- 18:28Speaker 1: do different things creatively. I saw a film, you know,
- 18:32Speaker 1: Alfred Hitchcock did in the fourties called Rope, which he
- 18:35Speaker 1: shout in one take. And also this uh, this uh
- 18:40Speaker 1: Italian movie called Victoria, which was shout in one take.
- 18:43Speaker 1: So that was Those are two of the things that
- 18:45Speaker 1: really drew me to the project. And then the election happened,
- 18:48Speaker 1: and you know it really touched a lot of people,
- 18:51Speaker 1: really really deeply. Um. You know, I was I was
- 18:55Speaker 1: at my parents house when when that happened, and he,
- 18:58Speaker 1: you know, the director call me that night and he
- 19:00Speaker 1: was really affected by it. And you know then that
- 19:04Speaker 1: that became the basis of where we wanted to base
- 19:07Speaker 1: this night of like these two people meeting each other
- 19:11Speaker 1: and and you know, changing each other's lives for for
- 19:14Speaker 1: the good. Um. But I think you know the film
- 19:17Speaker 1: is a is a faith based film, not in the
- 19:19Speaker 1: traditional sense, but us about faith, hope and dreams and
- 19:23Speaker 1: sometimes people, you know, we come out to l a
- 19:26Speaker 1: and we come out to New York with these dreams
- 19:28Speaker 1: and we get beat up a little bit. They don't happen.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Our dreams don't happen as quick as they should. And
- 19:34Speaker 1: you know, some people give up, you know, or they
- 19:36Speaker 1: get married or meet you know, start having kids, and
- 19:39Speaker 1: then five years later, you know, you're on the hamster
- 19:42Speaker 1: wheel and you kind of like let your James fall
- 19:44Speaker 1: by the wayside. But I love the fact that faith
- 19:48Speaker 1: faith because you know, that's a that's a that's that
- 19:50Speaker 1: hidden gym that Hollywood keeps trying to lock in and
- 19:54Speaker 1: UH and has an audience out there and has a
- 19:57Speaker 1: growing audience. They want this type of faith him and
- 20:00Speaker 1: not only an African American market, but also in the
- 20:02Speaker 1: journal market as well. So again the visionary that you
- 20:06Speaker 1: are sitting up to setting up shop, you know, focusing
- 20:09Speaker 1: on the movie that will feel good movie. And that's
- 20:12Speaker 1: what I like about your brand is that your brand
- 20:15Speaker 1: is about feeling good. Is not explored eive and I
- 20:18Speaker 1: really like that. Let's let's close to that with this, UH,
- 20:21Speaker 1: this last new series you're doing with UH with Lebron James,
- 20:24Speaker 1: tell us about that. Yeah, you know, this is like
- 20:27Speaker 1: a long time coming. You know, his Lebron's agent, Rich
- 20:31Speaker 1: Paul is a longtime friend of mine. We we've we've
- 20:33Speaker 1: known each other for a long time and you know,
- 20:36Speaker 1: we we always talked about film and TV projects before
- 20:39Speaker 1: even Lebron you know, came to Hollywood and set up
- 20:42Speaker 1: shop and started producing things. And so you know, NBA
- 20:46Speaker 1: Drafts is you know, it's a multi part series at showtime.
- 20:51Speaker 1: UM that we're doing this just sort of like exploring
- 20:54Speaker 1: the impact of the n b A and what what
- 20:57Speaker 1: it's had on what the NBA, the effect that it's
- 21:00Speaker 1: had on popular culture and hip hop and how all
- 21:04Speaker 1: of these things you know, um have you know impacted
- 21:08Speaker 1: because like taking and it's about draft. So like the
- 21:11Speaker 1: nineties six draft, to me, I feel like is the
- 21:14Speaker 1: most influential draft for a lot of reason. There's been
- 21:17Speaker 1: some good ones obviously eighty four with Jordan's and Barkley
- 21:21Speaker 1: and in Elijuan, but I think the nineties six draft
- 21:24Speaker 1: will ultimately have the most Hall of famous because you
- 21:27Speaker 1: got Allen Iverson, you got Kobe Bryant, you got Steve Nash,
- 21:30Speaker 1: You've got Ray Allen, you got Ben Wallace. Uh, you know,
- 21:35Speaker 1: all those guys are going to the Hall of Fame.
- 21:36Speaker 1: But I think even the impact of how sports changed,
- 21:40Speaker 1: the NBA changed with that draft. You know, you know,
- 21:43Speaker 1: tattoos came in that draft, braids, you know, ice and
- 21:48Speaker 1: jewelry and you know that exactly. And hip hop really
- 21:54Speaker 1: like you know, became a staple you know at the
- 21:57Speaker 1: NBA game sitting courtside, you know, star with that that
- 22:01Speaker 1: year ninety six, you know, Tupac died that year jay
- 22:04Speaker 1: Z released this, his uh debut album, Who's Now a
- 22:07Speaker 1: Sports Agent? And his you know at times, you know
- 22:11Speaker 1: actually owned the piece of the the nets at one point,
- 22:14Speaker 1: so you know, it's just talking about exploring the impact
- 22:18Speaker 1: of popular culture in the NBA, and and and you
- 22:22Speaker 1: know everything. Like like I said, everything that I do,
- 22:24Speaker 1: I just wanted to have a meeting behind it and
- 22:27Speaker 1: wanted to be something that's positive and allows people to
- 22:30Speaker 1: think about things. You know again, um, the things that
- 22:36Speaker 1: you've accomplished in your life and will be accomplishing. You're
- 22:39Speaker 1: saying all the right people, Rich Paul, one of the
- 22:41Speaker 1: top agents in that Lebron camp, Ava du Vernet, you know,
- 22:46Speaker 1: Amari Haadreck, Megan god Ken, you have Ivirus, all these
- 22:50Speaker 1: great names uh franchises on we TV. You're doing it,
- 22:55Speaker 1: my friend. I'm glad I got to see you in
- 22:58Speaker 1: the beginning because to see your juring need it's been awesome.
