- 1:44Speaker 1: out to turn the water. The water got me. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your back. Uh huh, I shall Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice. Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I want to share something with you that I had
- 2:17Speaker 1: to come to the realization one time, and even in
- 2:21Speaker 1: the reinvention of myself right now, I've had to come
- 2:23Speaker 1: to that and I want to share it with you today.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Give it to you. I want to tell you about
- 2:29Speaker 1: something that a lot of people do in their life
- 2:32Speaker 1: and I want you to be aware of it. Here
- 2:35Speaker 1: it is, don't get stuck on yourself. You could be wrong.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You know I said, don't get stuck on yourself. You
- 2:51Speaker 1: could be wrong. You know. The reason I'm saying this
- 2:56Speaker 1: is because people have a tendency to once they make
- 3:03Speaker 1: a decision about something, or once they decide to go
- 3:07Speaker 1: a certain path, they go against all everything, anything anybody says,
- 3:13Speaker 1: anything anybody might do, any other ruling they may come across.
- 3:20Speaker 1: They shun advice, They don't listen to counsel. They just
- 3:28Speaker 1: I made the decision. I'm gonna do it anyway. Don't
- 3:35Speaker 1: get stuck on yourself. You could be wrong, you know.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Now here's a sure fire way to tell if you're wrong.
- 3:46Speaker 1: If you don't see any movement in the direction you've chosen,
- 3:54Speaker 1: if you don't see anything going right in that decision,
- 4:01Speaker 1: if you feel as though you're interrupt if the wall
- 4:06Speaker 1: you're climbing seems so insurmountable that you ain't even moving
- 4:12Speaker 1: an inch, and every time you turn around you keep
- 4:16Speaker 1: getting knocked by down, knocked back down. Don't get stuck
- 4:19Speaker 1: on yourself. You know you could be wrong. You know. See,
- 4:23Speaker 1: that's why it's important for people to always be open
- 4:27Speaker 1: to the reinvention of yourself. You know, you cannot be
- 4:32Speaker 1: afraid to reinvent yourself. In other words, you can't be
- 4:37Speaker 1: afraid to change. Change is necessary when it comes to growth.
- 4:44Speaker 1: There is no growth without change. You cannot grow and
- 4:50Speaker 1: never change. I'm sorry. It's it's like from the time
- 4:54Speaker 1: you're born, you are constantly growing. But in that growth,
- 4:58Speaker 1: have you not noticed you have constant change. The more
- 5:01Speaker 1: you know, oh, listen to this, The more you know,
- 5:06Speaker 1: the older you look. Sorry, sorry, but there is no
- 5:15Speaker 1: growth without change. And I have found this to be true.
- 5:21Speaker 1: And the case the more you know, the older you look.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Now you can do drugs and and and and and
- 5:32Speaker 1: kill both them theories because you can do drugs and
- 5:36Speaker 1: not know nothing and look real old. So you know
- 5:39Speaker 1: there's a way around it. But I'm talking about if
- 5:41Speaker 1: you're spending your life trying to make something out yourself,
- 5:45Speaker 1: that is no growth without change. You cannot be afraid
- 5:51Speaker 1: to reinvent yourself. So don't get stuck on yourself, because
- 5:54Speaker 1: you could be wrong. You know, if you're heading in
- 5:57Speaker 1: a direction, it ain't nothing going right in your life.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Could it be the wrong direction? If you're climbing and
- 6:04Speaker 1: you're making no headway, could it be the wrong direction?
- 6:09Speaker 1: Could you have possibly made the wrong choice. Don't get
- 6:12Speaker 1: stuck on yourself because you didn't made the wrong self.
- 6:14Speaker 1: It's okay to forgive yourself. It's okay to let yourself
- 6:18Speaker 1: off the hook. It's even smarter sometimes to admit that
- 6:22Speaker 1: you were wrong. You ever met somebody ain't ever wrong.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Have you ever met somebody you talk to, They ain't
- 6:28Speaker 1: ever wrong about nothing. Man, They just it's their way
- 6:32Speaker 1: or the highway. It's this is my way, this is
- 6:35Speaker 1: the I know people like that, stuck on them powered
- 6:38Speaker 1: trips and all like that. You know what I had
- 6:40Speaker 1: to learn how to do. I had to learn how
- 6:42Speaker 1: to let them go on them powered trips. But listen
- 6:44Speaker 1: to this. Though you're not taking me on that trip.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Though you're going on that trip by yourself, I'm going
- 6:50Speaker 1: in the right direction. I've decided to stop the way. Okay,
- 6:55Speaker 1: listen to this person. This person. I decided to stop
- 6:59Speaker 1: doing business the way I was doing business. I decided
- 7:03Speaker 1: to stop to allow business being done around me the
- 7:07Speaker 1: way business was being done around me. You know what,
- 7:10Speaker 1: You know, the best decision I made was to allow
- 7:14Speaker 1: for God to have some say so and to offer
- 7:19Speaker 1: me his direction. I have found him to be a
- 7:23Speaker 1: better driver than anyone else I know. I have found
- 7:27Speaker 1: him to know more about the man he made than
- 7:33Speaker 1: anybody else who's merely associating with me. I have found
- 7:37Speaker 1: it to be a fact that my maker knows more
- 7:41Speaker 1: about the vehicle he created than does anybody else. If
- 7:45Speaker 1: you if your Chevy break don't you take it to Chevy.
- 7:50Speaker 1: You don't take your Forward when it break down to
- 7:52Speaker 1: a Toyota dealership. They not gonna know everything that the
- 7:56Speaker 1: Forward dealership would know about the vehicle. You know why
- 7:59Speaker 1: because then the maker of it. So now, why are
- 8:03Speaker 1: you litting? You're letting your life being led, controlled and
- 8:07Speaker 1: guided by somebody other than your maker. I'm just asking
- 8:12Speaker 1: you to let's all take a common sense look at this.
- 8:16Speaker 1: So if going to your maker's the best way, the
- 8:18Speaker 1: best decision I made in my business was take over
- 8:22Speaker 1: my brand myself and to allow the maker of this brand.
- 8:28Speaker 1: See without God, I'm none of this. I'm none of this.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I want you to clearly understand I ain't none of
- 8:33Speaker 1: this without him. I wish I could have the guts
- 8:38Speaker 1: to reach back there and pat myself on the back
- 8:40Speaker 1: for what I've accomplished in my life. I wish I
- 8:43Speaker 1: had the guts. I wish the nerve of me because
- 8:47Speaker 1: I know for or fact that there is no way
- 8:50Speaker 1: that I could have manufactured the life that I have.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I could not even have thought of it. It's no
- 8:57Speaker 1: way I could have told you that this was the
- 8:59Speaker 1: route I was going to take and this is the
- 9:01Speaker 1: outcome because of it. I had no idea, no clue.
- 9:05Speaker 1: The one thing I had, though, was an unshakable faith
- 9:09Speaker 1: in God. I had an I just kept believing in him.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I kept believing that he had something more for me.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And then when I touched base with him and asked
- 9:22Speaker 1: him to show me what it is what he had
- 9:23Speaker 1: for me, tada, the magic show began. Because you know
- 9:28Speaker 1: what he did. He took all my natural abilities that
- 9:31Speaker 1: he had given to me, This gift that he gave me,
- 9:34Speaker 1: that he poured into me at birth, that same gift
- 9:37Speaker 1: that he poured into you at birth. The moment you
- 9:41Speaker 1: go to him and let him show you that gift,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and then guess what. Once he takes what he naturally
- 9:47Speaker 1: put in you and put his super his superpowers on
- 9:51Speaker 1: top of that, then you have some supernatural things going
- 9:55Speaker 1: on in your life and you may not be feeling me.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I'm cool with that, but I didn't have some supernatural
- 10:03Speaker 1: things happen to me. Every day I wake up some
- 10:07Speaker 1: supernatural the man, the rewards of my life, the awards
- 10:12Speaker 1: of my life, the accomplishments, the how I'm working, the
- 10:15Speaker 1: how I manage it, all, all that ain't none but God.
- 10:19Speaker 1: That ain't none but God. You can't even explain this
- 10:21Speaker 1: schedule to people. Sometimes when people ask me, Steve, how
- 10:24Speaker 1: do you do it? I go, well, it's what I
- 10:26Speaker 1: manage my time. And then at the end of when
- 10:28Speaker 1: I get through, I say, hey, man, you know what
- 10:29Speaker 1: I need to tell y'all for real? It's God. I
- 10:32Speaker 1: don't really know, but I'm letting him manage me. So
- 10:35Speaker 1: he handling it. He ain't gonna put no more of
- 10:37Speaker 1: me than I can bear. Listen to me, y'all, don't
- 10:39Speaker 1: be afraid to reinvent yourself and remember this. Don't get
- 10:43Speaker 1: stuck on yourself because you could be wrong. You know,
- 10:48Speaker 1: you absolutely could be wrong. If you don't tie this
- 10:52Speaker 1: to your gift, you will be struggling the rest of
- 10:56Speaker 1: your life. You're listening to show ladies and gentlemen, boys
- 11:03Speaker 1: and girls come on your radio. Were real loud because
- 11:06Speaker 1: it's about to get ignorant up in here, I mean stupid,
- 11:09Speaker 1: I mean foolish, I mean just down right stupit ted.
- 11:13Speaker 1: That's like, that's four piece stupit ted. That's what it is,
- 11:16Speaker 1: that's what we're doing. This is the voice of the
- 11:18Speaker 1: one and only nephew Tommy holding it down. And you
- 11:21Speaker 1: cannot hold it down by yourself. So let's just go
- 11:24Speaker 1: down the roster call a Ferrell. What it do? Baby?
- 11:27Speaker 1: What's what's happened to Team Miles? I thought my Mike

- 11:32Speaker 1: can't on? Get up on it, Get up on it,
- 11:34Speaker 1: Get up on it, y'all. Head Strawberry, pay nephew. What

- 11:52Speaker 1: in with us this morning holding down. He's straight ignorant,
- 11:55Speaker 1: he's straight stupid. He is a comedian's comedian. Lord, have
- 11:59Speaker 1: mercy anybody in the house. Nor about the quake we
- 12:03Speaker 1: do the one and only, Yeah, earth quake gets in
- 12:07Speaker 1: the building. Baby, get in light skin. Thank you. I
- 12:10Speaker 1: thought y'all to put me out the family. I haven't
- 12:13Speaker 1: been here so long, I said, what did I do?
- 12:16Speaker 1: And I come to a family reunion and didn't bring
- 12:19Speaker 1: nothing and took something with me. I got blessed ball.

- 12:36Speaker 1: know it was the light skin dude down in that

- 12:41Speaker 1: the shot down? What mean? Man? You know? I love you.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I love you. We see each other on We see
- 12:48Speaker 1: each other on the road. That's when me and Quake
- 12:49Speaker 1: see each other. Man picking up them bags. I ain't
- 12:53Speaker 1: know you was on the show when you going before you,
- 12:57Speaker 1: before you Quake. Every comedian always wants to go with
- 13:05Speaker 1: phone Quake because guess what, you want to be able
- 13:07Speaker 1: to stand on the side of the stage and just
- 13:09Speaker 1: watch Quake work because he's a comedians comedian And what
- 13:13Speaker 1: is it about? From another comedian's perspective, tell it? What
- 13:18Speaker 1: is it about Quake that makes him so quake? You
- 13:22Speaker 1: know what I mean? It's it's his rhythm. Yeah, um ye,
- 13:29Speaker 1: it's cadence, That's what it is. It's rapid fire delivered,
- 13:32Speaker 1: it's rapid five. It's cold. You just want to sit
- 13:35Speaker 1: there and you just want to watch it. I'm talking
- 13:36Speaker 1: about it. Don't matter who it is, y'all. Other great
- 13:39Speaker 1: comedians want to watch said was sit there and watch
- 13:42Speaker 1: its qua Yeah if Steve, if Stevens there, he gonna

- 13:59Speaker 1: just tells. I mean, he just talks about things that
- 14:01Speaker 1: you never would talk about. His perspective is his perspective
- 14:05Speaker 1: from anyone I've ever heard anybody that can come up
- 14:08Speaker 1: with the joke. I would like to watch my wedding
- 14:10Speaker 1: video in reverse, take the rings back off the help

- 14:34Speaker 1: We got to talk about that. John Singleton, director Extraordinary,
- 14:38Speaker 1: has passed away. We'll talk about that when we come back.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 15:06Speaker 1: I mean just you know, I mean right there. His name,
- 15:10Speaker 1: you know, evokes all kinds of emotions from us. He
- 15:13Speaker 1: was the first African American nominated for an Academy Award
- 15:17Speaker 1: for Best Director. He was the youngest and his career
- 15:23Speaker 1: spanned nearly three decades in Hollywood and he was only
- 15:26Speaker 1: fifty one. He started so young. Yeah, he passed away yesterday.

- 16:15Speaker 1: big Yeah, yes it is. Yeah, such sad news. I mean,
- 16:23Speaker 1: he really changed the way Hollywood looked at black people
- 16:27Speaker 1: at the African American Experience. You know, he put it
- 16:30Speaker 1: on the big screen. He really really did. Boys in
- 16:34Speaker 1: the Hood was just a phenomenal. At twenty four man nominated. Yeah,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I'm in the club. He ain't here making a movie. Yeah.
- 16:46Speaker 1: His thesis wasn't it Boys in the Hood? I think
- 16:49Speaker 1: it was? Yeah, and it was. It was touching man. Yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 1: that was good. Learning. Was was incredible poetic justice with
- 16:59Speaker 1: Janet Higo and Yes, Brush in his Hand, Man Joe Story,
- 17:06Speaker 1: Oh my God, and what baby Boy? I mean, just
- 17:09Speaker 1: on and on. One of my favorite movies from John
- 17:12Speaker 1: Singleton was Rosewood. Yes, Yeah, I loved Rosewood. I love
- 17:17Speaker 1: that movie. Yeah. Learned so much from them. Yeah I
- 17:20Speaker 1: didn't you though, Yeah, it was a history lesson. Yeah.
- 17:24Speaker 1: And he was always approachable. Man. He was good. He
- 17:27Speaker 1: was cool. He wasn't Oh, yeah, I knew him. I
- 17:32Speaker 1: mean every time I say, you said quit we're gonna
- 17:34Speaker 1: work together, I said, I want you do something dramatic.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I say, hi, John, really, Yes, you said, I don't
- 17:39Speaker 1: want you to comy when I come and get you.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I want you to do something dramatic. He was just
- 17:43Speaker 1: a good brother man, very tough, sproke I met him
- 17:48Speaker 1: a few years ago. And um, in Hollywood. I had
- 17:52Speaker 1: a friend of mine visiting. This is when I first
- 17:54Speaker 1: moved out here. I had a fender mine visiting me
- 17:56Speaker 1: from Chicago. And she was like a screenwriter and she
- 17:59Speaker 1: wanted to meet John Singleton. She came all the way
- 18:01Speaker 1: out here. That was it. I didn't know John Singleton, right,
- 18:05Speaker 1: but we were out John Singleton happened to be We
- 18:09Speaker 1: were at a party or something. John Singleton happened to
- 18:11Speaker 1: be there. I got I walked up to him and
- 18:14Speaker 1: I said, Hi, John Singleton. I told him my name
- 18:16Speaker 1: and everything and who I was. He was so gracious,
- 18:19Speaker 1: so wonderful. I told him my friend was here. She
- 18:21Speaker 1: was a screenwriter. Do you know that man gave her
- 18:24Speaker 1: his card, told her how to get in touch with
- 18:26Speaker 1: him if she wanted to learn, you know, about how
- 18:29Speaker 1: I just thought that was incredible. Yeah, I didn't doesn't
- 18:32Speaker 1: do that, Yeah, every right, you can't just walk up
- 18:34Speaker 1: to someone like a John Singleton, right one. Yeah, paid
- 18:40Speaker 1: it forward, you know, and gave her his card and everything. Um,
- 18:43Speaker 1: but just amazing that moment. I remember that moment from
- 18:47Speaker 1: just my encounter with him. What an amazing person. I
- 18:50Speaker 1: went to school. I went to school with a brother
- 18:53Speaker 1: name Pe Dave. P Dave was at Texas and him
- 18:57Speaker 1: he was a sigma at card. We only had one
- 19:00Speaker 1: sigma on the yard. It was T Dave and he
- 19:04Speaker 1: Dave came from Florida. He was to brag about how
- 19:07Speaker 1: he and John Singleton were friends and like, ain't friends, man.
- 19:14Speaker 1: He Dave wind up being an editor and that's what
- 19:17Speaker 1: he is today. And he has John Singleton the thing
- 19:19Speaker 1: for that. Wow, wow, wow, so many people you're right,
- 19:23Speaker 1: you're right, Tommy. Oh, their careers and their starts to
- 19:26Speaker 1: John Singleton. I think ice Cube Yes, oh, yes, Regina, yes, yeah, yeah, yes,
- 19:39Speaker 1: and yeah. And he introduced, you know, for Mills being
- 19:42Speaker 1: in the East Coast, what the West Coast was really
- 19:44Speaker 1: going through. You know what I mean, you didn't even know. Yes,
- 19:48Speaker 1: that's my neighborhood. Yeah, and you'd be like, man, that's
- 19:52Speaker 1: my brother, he lived here. I know what two colors
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'm not gonna wear there. I mean it, lets you
- 19:58Speaker 1: know what was going on, kid. They don't know what
- 20:03Speaker 1: the don kid was going on in the hood. And
- 20:05Speaker 1: it was polling it on high. It was what we
- 20:07Speaker 1: were going through with the structure that you can easily
- 20:10Speaker 1: comprehend from being in it. It was beautiful. That what
- 20:13Speaker 1: a legacy. As we mentioned, John burst to start him.
- 20:17Speaker 1: His birth to start him came just two years after
- 20:19Speaker 1: he graduated from USC. He was only twenty four years
- 20:22Speaker 1: old when he made his directorial debut and the world noticed,
- 20:26Speaker 1: earning him an Oscar nomination back in nineteen ninety two
- 20:29Speaker 1: for Best Director for Boys in the Hood. Mourning the
- 20:32Speaker 1: loss of a collaborator and a true friend, John Singleton,
- 20:35Speaker 1: Samuel L. Jackson shared he blazed the trail for many
- 20:40Speaker 1: young filmmakers, always remaining true to who he was and
- 20:43Speaker 1: where he came from. Our ip brother, gone way too soon.
- 20:47Speaker 1: That was Samuel L. Jackson. I was reading online too,
- 20:50Speaker 1: Shanna rhimeson when she first was starting out, He sent
- 20:53Speaker 1: her a note John Singleton, encouraging her to keep going.
- 20:56Speaker 1: And you know, just like you kept saying, just paying
- 20:59Speaker 1: it for and just telling her she could do it. Yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 1: just look at her today. Wow. We need we need
- 21:05Speaker 1: more people call it with that kind of kindness, man,
- 21:08Speaker 1: We need that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Caring well, John Singleton,
- 21:11Speaker 1: We will always love you, will be we will be
- 21:13Speaker 1: honoring you and paying tribute to you all morning, your
- 21:16Speaker 1: spirit will forever shine bright. And coming up next, we're
- 21:20Speaker 1: going to lighten things up a bit. Nephew Tommy in
- 21:23Speaker 1: the building here to make a smile. Run that prank
- 21:25Speaker 1: back right after this quake. Yeah, you're listening Steve Harvey
- 21:31Speaker 1: Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:34Speaker 1: Guys and Entertainment news, John Singleton has passed away. The

- 36:09Speaker 1: He says people now know more about Russian efforts to
- 36:12Speaker 1: shape the outcome of US elections. In his goodbye letter
- 36:15Speaker 1: Rosensteinstein's to be talking about the current administration when he says,
- 36:18Speaker 1: quote credible evidence is not partisan and truth is not
- 36:22Speaker 1: determined by opinion polls. Finally, today is World Immunization Day,

- 38:59Speaker 1: They ain't saying nothing about my brother, man. I figured
- 39:02Speaker 1: they don't know, don't show. I don't care about what's
- 39:06Speaker 1: going on in the hood. Hey dope, you still got
- 39:10Speaker 1: one brother left? Man? That was good that. Yeah, we

- 40:20Speaker 1: dot com and you're in there. You find where you
- 40:23Speaker 1: can find me at go to my baby Mama. She
- 40:25Speaker 1: has a tracking device on me. You know. It's where
- 40:27Speaker 1: it gets the cut off everything, So ask her. She
- 40:30Speaker 1: can tell you exactly where the money come up front
- 40:32Speaker 1: and going your Instagram. Yes, thank you. It's a shame
- 40:39Speaker 1: you got to do this because they don't judge you
- 40:41Speaker 1: be for how many followers you got. I tell comedians,
- 40:44Speaker 1: ain't how many followers you got it. It's how many
- 40:47Speaker 1: comedians you can follow. That's the test you understand, not
- 40:54Speaker 1: how many followers you got it. How many comedians can
- 40:57Speaker 1: you follow. That's the key is to see how good
- 41:01Speaker 1: you had at my professions there is. That's what I
- 41:04Speaker 1: tell him all the time. We know that there are
- 41:07Speaker 1: like one hundred million Democratic candidates, okay, and then this
- 41:11Speaker 1: presidential race coming up next year. I'm announcing mine next week.
- 41:16Speaker 1: I'm right behind you. That includes former Vice president who
- 41:20Speaker 1: just announced last week, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders,
- 41:24Speaker 1: Bato O'Rourke, mayor, Pete Buddha judge, and President Trump says
- 41:30Speaker 1: he isn't concerned about any of them. Oh well, you
- 41:34Speaker 1: don't take a person that lie all the time, gonna
- 41:36Speaker 1: tell you the truth, right right right. One thing I
- 41:40Speaker 1: do like about Trump, he's the first president ever dual speech,
- 41:43Speaker 1: and I ain't got to look up. None of the
- 41:45Speaker 1: words I mean is gonna be bad, bad brand, grand brand.
- 41:51Speaker 1: I said, oh, he graduated with me a leader, Tell
- 41:56Speaker 1: a prompt and come back by four pages later. I
- 42:00Speaker 1: ain't use one word that had bigger than one syllable
- 42:03Speaker 1: init I said, boy, anybody could be president. Was letting
- 42:07Speaker 1: you know he's my catterman. In fact, he says he's
- 42:10Speaker 1: not concerned about any of them. Twenty twenty campaign manager
- 42:15Speaker 1: is promising a bigger, better, and badder race this time around. Now,
- 42:20Speaker 1: he was shocked. I could tell I know it. In
- 42:22Speaker 1: the first month he was trying to get fired. I
- 42:24Speaker 1: know a person when they're trying to get five Yeah, yeah,
- 42:28Speaker 1: how do you know, man? Because he was doing things.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Look at bringing the Russians in here taking picture. Y'all
- 42:33Speaker 1: still ain't gonna get me out of here. Lord, he
- 42:37Speaker 1: was trying to get fired from his daughter in there.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Ain't nobody had a security clean information was leaders everything
- 42:44Speaker 1: they thought that a black president was gonna be. All
- 42:47Speaker 1: the time thought fights, don't know nothing, don't use no words,
- 42:51Speaker 1: just alienate the whole country. But you can say what
- 42:54Speaker 1: you wanted to say. His follows or something. They got
- 42:58Speaker 1: damned that's why I took People ask me how the quick?
- 43:00Speaker 1: What kind of woman you looking for? I say, I'm
- 43:02Speaker 1: looking for a woman like a Trump supporter. No matter
- 43:05Speaker 1: what I tell us, she ain't going nowhere. Don't quake
- 43:09Speaker 1: got another baby? Baby? You know that's fake news. Don't
- 43:11Speaker 1: you listen to that? And the enemy of the States.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Don't you listen to that? Baby? Don't you listen to that?
- 43:16Speaker 1: Let me ask you this man, come on with what
- 43:18Speaker 1: what combination from the Democratic Party? Do you think it?
- 43:22Speaker 1: When I'm gonna tell you right here, we gotta go
- 43:24Speaker 1: with Biden because God gonna go in there and when participate.
- 43:28Speaker 1: People don't know. He only won three states, bought a
- 43:31Speaker 1: total of a hundred thousand votes. So if Hillary wouldn't
- 43:35Speaker 1: have took some days off and went on, I mean
- 43:38Speaker 1: she was taking more days. She was like a rapplene treatment. Yeah,
- 43:43Speaker 1: I thought she was an NBA player. I can't do
- 43:46Speaker 1: back to backs. Don't take taking up for granted. And
- 43:52Speaker 1: that's totally what it is. Because the Democratic Party, with
- 43:55Speaker 1: all do respect, I am independent. I ain't not a
- 43:58Speaker 1: Democrat because I say Democrat to teat us like side
- 44:01Speaker 1: checks come see us every four years and tell you
- 44:03Speaker 1: what they're gonna do for us? Yeah, we side check
- 44:08Speaker 1: for the Democratic Party black people. I love it. Quick
- 44:12Speaker 1: and four years later we still be looking for it.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Didn't he pop back home? Await where you been? Oh?
- 44:16Speaker 1: I was doing stuff for you? You know that other man?
- 44:19Speaker 1: You're like me. They don't care about you. Who else
- 44:22Speaker 1: you gonna go? So the Democratic Party treat us like
- 44:24Speaker 1: side chicks. All right, quick time to switch gears here now,
- 44:29Speaker 1: nephew Tommy is coming up next with a prank phone call.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming
- 44:37Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, right about four
- 44:40Speaker 1: minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today. The subject
- 44:43Speaker 1: he's turning me into his mama. Yeah, he's into his mama.
- 44:49Speaker 1: But right now the nephew is in here with today's
- 44:52Speaker 1: prank phone call. What you got for us? Nep Can
- 44:55Speaker 1: you do my makeup? What can you do my makeup?
- 45:02Speaker 1: Come on? What's this about? What? Okay? For your show?
- 45:06Speaker 1: This is for makeup on the buttocks? You don't say
- 45:10Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yes, it's it's booty makeup call. Okay,
- 45:16Speaker 1: booty makeup. People who got scars on their Buttsten to
- 45:23Speaker 1: get the seal with the lights off. I'm the only
- 45:26Speaker 1: one booty makeup. You call somebody asking to do your
- 45:30Speaker 1: booty makeup? Well you can't do okay? If I can't
- 45:36Speaker 1: see back there, junior, how the makeup gonna get on? That?
- 45:41Speaker 1: Why you need booty makeup? Because I got stretched marks, scars,
- 45:46Speaker 1: mosquito bites from a child. But this is Ackney. You
- 45:53Speaker 1: can you know you're too old to be trying to
- 45:54Speaker 1: clear seal on your button? Now late for that? Yeah,
- 46:00Speaker 1: run Nick? Can you do my makeup? Hello? Hello? Manswe
- 46:05Speaker 1: to Brandy police. Yes, this is Brandy. All Brandy. My
- 46:09Speaker 1: name is Carl. I'm calling. I got a you came
- 46:11Speaker 1: highly recommended. You actually you're you? Actually are? I'm sorry?
- 46:15Speaker 1: It is it may. I don't know if I'm saying.
- 46:16Speaker 1: As a makeup artist, makeup style, that's what you What
- 46:18Speaker 1: do you call it? It's makeup artists. I'm a professional
- 46:20Speaker 1: makeup artists, okay, And you work at them, you work
- 46:24Speaker 1: with the makeup counter and correct. Okay, listen, I gotta
- 46:28Speaker 1: I got a photo shoot coming up, and I wanted
- 46:30Speaker 1: to see about um sometime this week, maybe the following week.
- 46:34Speaker 1: You could actually come and and I hired you to
- 46:37Speaker 1: actually make me up for my photo shoot. Is do
- 46:40Speaker 1: you do a lot of photo shoots at all? Or you? Yes,
- 46:43Speaker 1: I should do. I've been in the business for ten years,
- 46:45Speaker 1: so I've been around several photow shoots. Okay, good deal.
- 46:48Speaker 1: So what what's I mean? You have any time this
- 46:50Speaker 1: week that I can actually just come in and we
- 46:52Speaker 1: can do like a trial run or something. Yeah, I'll
- 46:55Speaker 1: actually be here Friday for about six hours with Friday
- 46:59Speaker 1: work for you. I'm here, I start at eleven. At eleven,
- 47:01Speaker 1: I mean I could come in later, maybe like around
- 47:03Speaker 1: three on Friday if you, if can you squeeze me
- 47:06Speaker 1: in at that time? Okay? What's what's so good? Is
- 47:09Speaker 1: there a certain makeup for for men? It works out
- 47:14Speaker 1: the same as for women in photo shoots. You just
- 47:16Speaker 1: need some type of crane foundation something to even out
- 47:18Speaker 1: the skin tone. Uh, powder you down to take away
- 47:21Speaker 1: the oils, cover up any blemishes or anything like that.
- 47:24Speaker 1: It's pretty much the same. Of course, you don't get
- 47:26Speaker 1: the whole eyeshadow and lashes and stuff. But right, right, right,
- 47:29Speaker 1: right right, well, but I just try to, you know,
- 47:31Speaker 1: just trying to look good on camera. Um, let me
- 47:34Speaker 1: ask you this. How much makeup have you done as
- 47:37Speaker 1: far as um men? You know what I mean? Yes, okay,
- 47:41Speaker 1: I'm very comfortable with it. You'll be fine, trust me.
- 47:43Speaker 1: That's what I was really worried about it, if you
- 47:45Speaker 1: were going to be comfortable with it, because I mean,
- 47:47Speaker 1: have you done um, I'm a little conscientious about a
- 47:51Speaker 1: few things, you know what I mean? And you have
- 47:55Speaker 1: how many butts have you done? I'm sorry? How many
- 48:00Speaker 1: what like like like butts? You know how many? How
- 48:03Speaker 1: many butts have you made up? I haven't made up
- 48:07Speaker 1: any but like are you like you mean like asses? Yeah?
- 48:11Speaker 1: I mean you could see money. I'm actually doing a
- 48:13Speaker 1: nude photo shoot and uh, you know, I got a
- 48:17Speaker 1: couple of scratches and you know, some old scars on
- 48:20Speaker 1: my butt, and I you know, I like you said,
- 48:22Speaker 1: you know, I'm a little shy about you know some
- 48:24Speaker 1: of that. So I was you could actually hope you
- 48:26Speaker 1: can actually make sure that those cars don't show and
- 48:29Speaker 1: you know you said you kind of um you know, uh,
- 48:32Speaker 1: make sure everything is doesn't look oily, you know what
- 48:35Speaker 1: I mean? And I just need to get my money out. Well,
- 48:39Speaker 1: but I I didn't when I didn't understand what you're
- 48:42Speaker 1: talking about. I may not be used to makeup, but
- 48:43Speaker 1: I don't. I'm not seriously, I'm not gonna do your okay,
- 48:47Speaker 1: but I mean we're just talking about makeup though. I
- 48:49Speaker 1: mean you know you're talking about yeah, but I'm not
- 48:52Speaker 1: about to put my makeup brushes that I use on
- 48:54Speaker 1: people's faces on your ass, like to tell your photographer
- 48:57Speaker 1: to like photoshop that because okay, well that's where I'm
- 49:00Speaker 1: coming in to see you on Friday. I want you
- 49:02Speaker 1: to do everything and make me up there in the
- 49:05Speaker 1: store so I can see what it looks like. I
- 49:07Speaker 1: want to see what you were going to come into
- 49:09Speaker 1: my job and make me do your Like? What are you? What? Planted?
- 49:13Speaker 1: Are you? Where did you think that was gonna work?
- 49:14Speaker 1: You cannot come into my job. How are you gonna
- 49:17Speaker 1: come to my job naked? Seriously? I mean, well I
- 49:20Speaker 1: was gonna wear a robe. I'm not gonna just you know,
- 49:21Speaker 1: walk in there. Don't you even think about coming into
- 49:25Speaker 1: my job? Who referred you? Who told you need to
- 49:28Speaker 1: delete this number? Do not? I'm not about to get
- 49:31Speaker 1: this job. Don't need to get done, Okay, I don't
- 49:34Speaker 1: want about why the problem with you doing? What is
- 49:39Speaker 1: the problem. You're doing my butt and putting the makeup
- 49:41Speaker 1: on it. Not I need to buy you some brushes.
- 49:43Speaker 1: I buy you some brushes and you can take I
- 49:45Speaker 1: want you to buy me anything. I don't want you
- 49:48Speaker 1: coming into my job. I don't want you calling me
- 49:50Speaker 1: ever again to do any kind of work. I'm coming
- 49:52Speaker 1: in there, and I'm now listen, I have a professional
- 49:55Speaker 1: makeup artists. Clearly you don't know what that means, so
- 49:57Speaker 1: they don't need to. Then you will take out the

- 50:27Speaker 1: I'm not professional. Nobody ever called me to be there.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Get some skincare for your how about that, and then

- 54:59Speaker 1: his mom you to be a nurse, so that made
- 55:01Speaker 1: me even more attractive. We went on a date a
- 55:04Speaker 1: couple of weeks after that, and we've been together ever since.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I do most of the cooking and he prefers for
- 55:11Speaker 1: me to only cook meals from his late mother's handwritten
- 55:15Speaker 1: recipe book. Her recipes are really good, so I didn't
- 55:18Speaker 1: make a big deal out of that. But when I
- 55:21Speaker 1: talked to him about getting a new due for our wedding,
- 55:24Speaker 1: he suggested that I get the same hair du that
- 55:27Speaker 1: his mom used to wear. I was like, say what,
- 55:31Speaker 1: there's a very large photo of my fiance's Yeah, okay,
- 55:36Speaker 1: there's a very large photo of my fiance's mother in
- 55:39Speaker 1: our bedroom, and he used the picture as a reference
- 55:42Speaker 1: on how he wanted me to cut my hair. I
- 55:44Speaker 1: was hesitant, but I did it to make him happy.
- 55:48Speaker 1: When he first saw my new haircut, he loved it
- 55:50Speaker 1: so much. He made sweet love to me. I was
- 55:55Speaker 1: weirded out, but I didn't say anything. Now fast forward
- 56:00Speaker 1: to me getting ready to shop from my wedding dress.
- 56:02Speaker 1: He told me that he had a surprise. He had
- 56:05Speaker 1: called his dad and got his mother's wedding dress and
- 56:08Speaker 1: he wanted me to try it on so he can
- 56:11Speaker 1: have it altered for our wedding. That's where I drew
- 56:15Speaker 1: the line and we got into an argument. He's normal
- 56:18Speaker 1: in every other aspect, but this obsession with his mom
- 56:22Speaker 1: has got to stop. His dad says he has always
- 56:26Speaker 1: been a mama's boy, and he doesn't see it as
- 56:28Speaker 1: a problem. So maybe I am the only one that
- 56:31Speaker 1: thinks this is crazy. He's turning me into his mom.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Should I run now before it's too late? Please help? Wow?
- 56:41Speaker 1: This is crazy right here, and I'm surprised you lasted
- 56:45Speaker 1: this long. I really am because this You know, he
- 56:48Speaker 1: weirded you out when he made sweet love to you
- 56:50Speaker 1: after you cut your hair like his mom. Yeah, that's weird.
- 56:55Speaker 1: I just think this guy's out of control him way
- 56:57Speaker 1: too much of a mama's boy. Who does this. I'm
- 57:00Speaker 1: talking to both of you because I think that you're
- 57:03Speaker 1: allowing too much to get away. I mean, you're allowing
- 57:06Speaker 1: him to get away with way too much A picture
- 57:09Speaker 1: of his mom in your bedroom. Really, I mean, just
- 57:14Speaker 1: think how weird that is. I mean on the mantel
- 57:17Speaker 1: in the living room, in front of the fireplace. I
- 57:19Speaker 1: get that on his phone in a photo album. I
- 57:23Speaker 1: get that. But you know it's too much of his mom.
- 57:26Speaker 1: And if you have to deal with this right now today,
- 57:29Speaker 1: or you won't be walking down the aisle with him.
- 57:32Speaker 1: And if you do, you're going to have to deal
- 57:34Speaker 1: with this sort of thing the rest of your life. Okay,
- 57:37Speaker 1: So think about that ended now, this obsession with his mom,
- 57:42Speaker 1: if he can, if not, you got to get out
- 57:44Speaker 1: of there. This is too much craziness going on in
- 57:46Speaker 1: one relationship. Quait, listen, I know what Shirley over here
- 57:51Speaker 1: telling you. Get out of it. You don't want to
- 57:52Speaker 1: be back out in these streets thirty nine. I'll tell
- 57:57Speaker 1: you the pickings. A slim out here staying there, role
- 58:00Speaker 1: play play as mama put him on punishment. It's benefits
- 58:06Speaker 1: playing a mama. Hell, he had to stay home and
- 58:09Speaker 1: you going out, you understand, tell him go buy stuff
- 58:13Speaker 1: for you? Yeah, and she looking at it. It's benefits
- 58:17Speaker 1: to it. You said. Everything is good other than he
- 58:19Speaker 1: wants you to be his mama. I'm telling you right now,
- 58:21Speaker 1: and I have a friend who is a mama boy.
- 58:24Speaker 1: If you can't deal with it, gonna leave. You're never
- 58:27Speaker 1: gonna be the bama's boy. You always gonna be second
- 58:30Speaker 1: to a mama boy. That mama is right below Jesus.
- 58:34Speaker 1: They're not to be touched or anything. Now that you
- 58:37Speaker 1: already got him, I guess she's not there. Stay there
- 58:40Speaker 1: be friends would have put a picture out there dressed
- 58:42Speaker 1: like his mama. Everything, role play, do all of it.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Keep your man, girl. If you're doing all this stuff,
- 58:48Speaker 1: you don't want to be out here. You see these
- 58:49Speaker 1: young girls on Instagram. You ain't got a shot. They Yeah,
- 58:54Speaker 1: you're forty years old. He got a man that's gonna
- 58:57Speaker 1: walk you down. He just wants you to be the
- 58:58Speaker 1: mama and the wife. Come on you, you're strong. You
- 59:02Speaker 1: can do both for him. You can co exist in
- 59:05Speaker 1: both of them. People come home as the wife one day,
- 59:08Speaker 1: then turn around and be the mama the next. Staff
- 59:10Speaker 1: give him a little bit of mama. That's what my
- 59:12Speaker 1: advice says. Yeah, don't until you try, you understand that's right. See,
- 59:22Speaker 1: no I'm not My brother. Tyrone was a mama's boy
- 59:26Speaker 1: that he didn't want to move. My mother had to move,
- 59:30Speaker 1: just lead a house and leave him with the house.
- 59:32Speaker 1: And he was so mad talking about she left me.
- 59:34Speaker 1: He was forty. It was terrible. It was yeah, it
- 59:38Speaker 1: was terrible. He was forty years old. He wasn't speaking
- 59:40Speaker 1: to my mama, said she left him. He was forty.
- 59:43Speaker 1: He didn't even know to get apartment. He talking about
- 59:45Speaker 1: which one of these apartments? Who cook and clean? You
- 59:49Speaker 1: don't find them amenities in apartment? Yes, lighting gas? She
- 59:54Speaker 1: talking about who do the cooking in the clean side?
- 59:56Speaker 1: I'm looking for apartment. I said, You're not gonna find
- 59:59Speaker 1: mama in none of these apartments, Tyrone. So I'm telling
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: you right now, whoever you name you're a nurse, just
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: go ahead and play that role with us. That's that's
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: all I got to say. All right, let's hear that
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: was greatness quick. Let's hear her from the young one
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: on the on the panel. What you got? What you
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: got junior? First of all, he just turning me into
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: my mama, his mama. But first of all, I would quake.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: You don't need to leave, You really don't need to leave.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: But let me just this something that that piqued my mafia.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: As I've met in the emergency room. I spent a
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: lot of time in emergency room. Ain't met no damn
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: about What did he say here that I've been in
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: the bed, I've laid there trying to pick up a nurse. Dudes,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I try to pick up they hit people some proper ally.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: What did he say? He told her that his mom
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: used to be a nurse. Yeah, yeah, my mama nurse too.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: I tried it. It's what I'm saying. I think you
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: got try. What was the mina inness? What was the
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: mina illness? What was the laon that? He? You are
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: you nine? Mama's boy? But I'm trying to get somebody
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: after a lot of time I was in the merged
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: rule what a month ago? Yeah, yeah, I was in.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Couldn't get nobody because you ain't had no insurance. I
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: don't know what down ace when you ain't paying for
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: your own prescription. Talk to because I asked for talking
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: all three, I got talking all too. They downgrade everything
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I'll do in the purchase the rule. That's what I
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: would want to know. But I beusage that you need
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: to stay to them. You're telling her to settle. All saddle,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: We all saddle. We'll be back with part two of
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: this Strawberry letter. She can't think. The subject is he's
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: turning me into my mama. We'll be back right after

- 1:01:57Speaker 1: in she's engaged. Her fiance's terrific, she said, but she
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: needs our advice because her fiance and her met in
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: the emergency room where he told her she reminded him
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: of his mom. Okay, they dated uh and a couple
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: of times and then they've been together ever since. Um.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: He wants her to cook out of only the recipe
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: book that his mom left. She's deceased, now his mom.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: He wants her to wear her hair like her mom.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: He wants her to wear her his late mom's wedding
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: gown for her wedding, and he doesn't seem to have
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: a problem with it. He's been a mama's boy all
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: his life. She's having issues with it. She wants to
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: know should she run now before it's too late? All right,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: we've heard from me, I say run. Uh you said stay.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Pickens are slim quake rights, and Junior agrees with you.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: She should stay because you say you go to the

- 1:03:13Speaker 1: is the fact that his mama owned the wall watching
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: everything they do. They got all these old ass hal dudes.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: You're sitting up there looking like you're sitting up there

- 1:03:28Speaker 1: You ain't gonna look like wheeze it from the jefferis.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: You ain't got to do this to yourself. Fix your

- 1:04:23Speaker 1: When I find me somebody, she's gonna wear this right here.

- 1:06:00Speaker 1: got a gross Now you know how hard he rolled
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: playing roll. You understand how women feel about mama's boys.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: You all, yeah, you all a man. We don't like
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: mama's boys like you say. They put us second. You

- 1:06:43Speaker 1: a lot every ride wants to pick out. She wants
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: that experience. Why would you want forty? Prince Sharmandon came
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: and left. Let's keep it ready, put the dress on.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: We're going right down here, the dress of the piece,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: saying this money you do so you're not. So you're
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: not gonna wear the Donna summer wig that my mom
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: will be waiting. You're not gonna wear it. It ain't
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: not creeping about it. You just gotta span your your imagination.

- 1:07:40Speaker 1: the therms? That? No? Yeah, control, Look what he likes? Wow, okay,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: perspective what you're doing? Company out of the street lights?
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Then came on all that. She liked all of that,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: and she can use that in the advantage. You supposed
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: to be in the house when the streets come on.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: That's what he's supposed to do. That's right, giving them
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: keys you can't drive no more. So you're saying the
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: advantage for her. She'll always know where he is, exact
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: exactly what she tells. This dress up is it? Mom?
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: And discipline them bank the real band. This foolishness will
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: not be tolerated. The teacher just called me, yeah, and

- 1:08:51Speaker 1: from John Singleton movies right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. John Singleton, the first African American who
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director. His
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: career spanned nearly three decades in Hollywood, passed away yesterday.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: John suffered a massive stroke twelve days ago after returning
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: from Costa Rica. John Singleton directed Boys in the Hood,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Baby Boy, Poetic Justice, Higher Learning, Four Brothers, Too Fast,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: Too Furious. He produced the critically acclaimed film Hustle and
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Flow as well. He co created the FX hit series
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Snowfall and directed episodes of the People Versus O. J.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Simpson American Crime Story, as well as Empire and billions. Now, guys,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: I gotta ask you this because this was so groundbreaking
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: back then, and we all loved Boys in the Hood.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: But you all remember the scene from Boys in the
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Hood when Laurence Fishburne, who was playing Furious Styles, talked
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: about gentrification. Remember that. Yeah, we had never heard of
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: that back then. Never, I mean, just to put it
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: in a movie like that. And it's going on now
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: in our neighborhoods right now, you know how groundbreaking. John
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Sington was way ahead, he really was, really really yeah,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: and that character Furious Styles, he was schooling his son
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: in schooling Ricky, his trades friend, about what was going
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: on in the neighborhood. And remember how everybody on the
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: on the block came to listen. They start crowding around. Yeah,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: hustle over there, exactly exactly today. Grady from Good Time,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I mean Grady from Sanford and Son was in that scene, yeah,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: because he was the older gentleman that was upset at
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: what the kids were doing in the neighborhood. And yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Furious was trying to break it down, saying, you know
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: how the drugs getting over here? No boats now? Remember that? Yeah,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: And I just loved his character name Furious Styles. I
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: love that, love that name. Yeah, that's like that's still
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: going on today. That's yeah, in any city, in the neighborhood,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: pick a neighborhood. Yeah, there's there's another guy that passed away, y'all.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: Jesse Lawrence Ferguson, y'all for me with him, Jesse Lawrence
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Ferguson as actually the black police officer and Boys in
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: the Hood that gave Ricky and Trey a hard time.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, Jackie, Yeah, that brother just passed away
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: a day or so, a couple of days ago. Wow. Wow, Wow.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: What what was your what was your favorite scene and
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Boys in the Hood? Um? I told you what. Um.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: He got home and started sympathy getting the love from
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: a girl swinging in the air. I used that all
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: the time, Tray, that's mine right there, swinging. Yeah, when
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I want to get out of the house, when I
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: want some sympathy love. Yeah. Man, so many stars. But
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: what about two though, we baby boy? Come on now
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: with Man Roger, Yeah, man, and I hate you Jody
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: every day. Got my part. I read for the part.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: The other parts, Yeah, come on. Two different type of
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: brothers in his world, brothers with guns, and Brothers with Butter.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: I love that, that's what does that mean? Still it
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: was too deep for Cheryl, the whole thing being knew
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: what it man, he just said the last I know.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: That was why I didn't get the part. I ain't
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: know it. But he did tell you. John Singleton said
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: that he wanted to put Yeah he did. He say
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: he wanted to put me in a drama, not a comedy. Yeah,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: play against Yeah. But I gotta say this when he
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Vet went by and uh to get her son from
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: from Jody baby boy, baby Boy, and got back in
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: the car and started crack you don't love Me no more,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: bron because she was listening to Marvin Gaye in the back. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: when that song right there, get you boy, that one
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: right there, too late for us to cry right now,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: too late. It's over. Ye, that's the one to keep
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: you satisfied. That's the song. John Singleton man an artist,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: a true artist. And do you want to remember um
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: it was Cube's first movie and all the hoop laws
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: surrounding the fact that Cube was a rapper not an actor,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: and they picked a rapper to play you know, they
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: could have had at an actor play this role. But
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: it was a lot of a lot of controversy about boy, Yeah,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: about Cube getting the role as Joe Boy and what
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: John said. The reason why he picked that He knew
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: que was gonna be a great actor because of his
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: songs that he wrote, told stories, yeah about just stories period.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: So he already so he had an eye. Yeah you
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Vision, And that's what you need.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Somebody to be a goal between with the with the
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: gatekeepers that believe and allow you to do it, and
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: comfortable enough to get it in and once you get
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: on through it. And that's what John did again with
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: the rest of him and allow him to go in there.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: And he saw and look at Cube from that first one,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: he don't make it all the way through, and he
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: paid it forward. Look at all the comedians Cube and
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: put on that the same thing John did for him.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: You see. It's yes, yes, me, Chris, you know he
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: put all of us on. Yeah, Kevin, yes, you put
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: everybody on, right, you know what I mean, the same
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: way yeah, yeah, west Side Wow. I mean you know,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: just think about John Singleton, I mean all the stuff
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: that we did, yesh, yeah, for sure. Yeah, that's what
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Samuel L. Jackson said, you're absolutely right, too soon at
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: only one year old. Yeah, and like his family is saying, um,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: you know he suffered or he had high blood pressure,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: you know for a great majority of his life. So please,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: you know, guys, go get checked. Please and follows the
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: doctors advice. And take your medication. That's the key man.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Take your mid Yeah, take your meds. Yeah, if you
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: got it only nights stand. I want to take their medicine.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: That's great. Yeah, I take mine. Yeah, in front of strangers.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: All right, guys, we're gonna like what them peals you taking.

- 1:16:31Speaker 1: It's gonna be there. Two shows, one at the MJ
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Pack in the Brooklyn's Keen Theater. That's Father Days. Because
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: they never showed no respect for Father's And I've been
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: doing this for five years, showing that black father's matter
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: and to make people come out there and show some appreciates.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: We don't want no ties, we don't want none of

- 1:17:29Speaker 1: come on with y'all, Houston, come on with the first.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: You know, we wanted to shout out to the seventy
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: six as they did win last night. They they beat
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: the wrapped as ninety four one. No, let's stop at nothing.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: I'm here. I want to hear about your baby way
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: these because well I swear y'all right up there that
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: we've been robbed. We was robbed, was doing man on
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Sunday your best player lecture slides every night. I mean
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: he steps all the way back. He stepped all the
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: way back one time he took a shot. He was
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: in the concession stand. Should shouldn't you be year old
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: step my button? He didn't need to stay there. Man,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Come on, man, you can't see them files. Man, No,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: why you didn't see him? Because Steve is my uncle.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: You see the rule States rules that you got to

- 1:18:35Speaker 1: steady doing it man, he's steady doing nobody steady. Let's stop,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: y'all already come in used. I love h Ten. I
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: didn't believe you signed with the Light Skin because Matt no,

- 1:19:25Speaker 1: you gonna see up and shout out to Uncle Steve.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: I know he needed the day off because he didn't
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: get to see no more playoffs because before they come back,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: they asked me to play when I was in Cleveland.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: But this is probably the most exciting series we do
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: have in the NBA playoffs is just this is probably
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: the best exciting one. I do appreciate the artistry of
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: Kevin Durant man the way he how easy he makes
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: seven foot that's gonna just give himself. He's six fifteen,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: that's what fifteen. He got an outside game game post up.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. You can't stop him now, so you
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: gotta give me when you gotta lock him down, and
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: you gotta stop Clay and Steph can't stop him. But
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: they see but your man from DC like you, Yes
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: he is, and another do they do? They not edge
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: y'all up over that. Don't worry about it. We go
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: on the war. That's what's wrong with you. I know
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: you ain't talking about the dude that got the beard.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: And there I've seen a burrier come out here. Yeah,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I see the burder come out of the nest and
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: he had the same I looked at him. The dude
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: who robbed me. I can't kind of evidence. Yeah, all
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: in there stepping on that dribble fifteen hundred times, didn't
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: take a shot and didn't want to take a fire.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: Come home, man quick. What's your prediction? East and West,
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Golden State in Boston, Golden State in Boston. Na, No, no, no,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: neither one of those brothers can't. Plus, he ain't got
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: no health for the ain't good for the spot. If
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: the brothers can't say your name, yeah, they just say
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: the Greek. Everybody say everybody every championship, John Yeah the
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: whole time. I don't Greek his cold though. Yeah, but
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: he needs a jumper. He's fig out his early in
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: his career. He figured out Okay, that's why you're going
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: home earlier. Yeah, he's gonna be earl. He do need
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: a jump out. Why you're going home? You can't get
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: to that hole in the playoffs. And there's only one
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: black man to stay in Milwaukee. That he gat to
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: be from Greece. And that's the only way, the only
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: way the man black man gonna stay in there in Milwaukee.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: All this cold, Oh, ain't no way you want to
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: stay in Milwaukee. You're going in You just tell other
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: black people. You know, y'all free. There's no reason for
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: y'all to stay here. This is all all this is.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: Gods leave you are free. Ain't nothing in Milwaukee be
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: cold cold. It's colder than Chicago and chic Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: And it ain't nothing to do in Milwaukee. Everything seven
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: fifty and my man say to drink. You can't drink
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: that much, that's no. And my walks turtled. You sit
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: down there. You see black people saying, I know why
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: you here. You just snitched on people in Chicago. You're
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: in the witness protection part. You mess around and ain't
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: have relocated you here. That's the only reason why black
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: people in Milwaukee, that's the people that have snitched on
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: them games and black man you know name Schwartz. Yeah,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: it's a shame I reclocated you with it. They got
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: that crazy police off a dynamic that yeah yeah, yeah, yeah. Man.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: I wouldn't even made a deal with him. I'm telling
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: you now, I go up there and perform, and that's
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: the first time I'll say it, y'all. Free. I know
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: that I had both shows and everything. Who want to
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: lead lead to night tonight? Is that why Hillary didn't
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: make it up there? No, that's what she needs, all right?
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: Coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show with
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: our special family member today the one and only earthquake
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show, all right, guys, And
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: what seems to be becoming some sort of a tradition,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: another national championship winning college team was served fast food
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: during a visit to the White House. This time it
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: was the Baylor women's basketball team, which defeated UH Notre
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Dame in a thrilling title game last month. Like the
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: Clemson and North Dakota State football teams earlier this year,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: here well, the Lady Bears of Baylor had a spread
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: of McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, and Moore to sort through.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: The team met with President Trump in the Oval Office
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: late Monday afternoon. The President praised the team for its championship,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: the program second in eight years, and uh was presented
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: with a Baylor number one jersey by head coach Kim Mulki.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: President Trump quips that he might give the sleepless jersey
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: to his wife, Milania. But okay, but did you did
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: you see the picture? Though the picture speaks volumes. The
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: sisters look like hostages. Yeah, they look like talking with
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: the as I didn't had black women in my president
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: looked like that. And it was not it was not President.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: I mean it was not pretty. I'm the late child support.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: Look that looked right there. But who was the one
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: the paint looking up after sky? But even the white
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: women on the team, even they're like whatever, man, he's
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: looking at him like all the money Bert Steve Harvey
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: FM on the Gram, y'all can see this picture of
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: the Lady Bears Baylor University. Y'all can see this picture.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: We're talking about my mama that if I wasn't on scholarship.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: But I mean, what is it? You know McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: and you know what I think it is? Surt. I
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: don't think nobody work in the kitchen no more. I
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: think everybody didn't quit. Maybe that's what it is. Ain't
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: nobody could the house chef, he doesn't have it. I'm
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: just telling you, man, I'm waiting for twenty twenty. Ready,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: I'm ready, I'm ready to run. But I'm telling you
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: right now for the day I'm serious to beat him.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: You better have a message, thank you, and a messenger
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: and do not take us for message and as matter right,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: and if you don't, he's gonna get another folk and
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: stick to Can can we stick together? Well? They have
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: to come and make sure that they when you come
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: to talk to us, make sure you're saying something that
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: impacts our lives. Yeah, And it's just that simple. You
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: can't sit in and running on about the economy. Economy. Yeah,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: unemployment might be low, but it ain't a living wager
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: that should have showed you there because when the lockout
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: was thirty days of two days of not having meaning
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: two checks mints, they was in in the food line. Yeah,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: yeawn in shutdown. What's good that you got a job
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: if it ain't enough to keep you fair? That's right.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Somebody tell me how good
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: the economy is. If I lose one checket, I'm out
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: on the side of the street asking for some beans
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: from a food shutter. So you just got to attack it.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: You got to attack them on it. And as earlier, Yeah,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: I asked you earlier, and you you went with Biden.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: Who's the running mate with Biden? Um the governor that
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: should have been in Georgia. What his name? The sister?
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: I say he needs to get her as her vice
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: president and not a work that would real guarantee if
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: he go get Stacey Aden and maker his vice president.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: We in there. Yeah, I agree with you. She could
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: even run for president. She is so sharp. He's only Yeah,
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: that's a winning ticket right there. All right, We'll be
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show with
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: Quake right after this. You're listening to show well John Singleton,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: the first African America, nominated for an Academy Award for
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: Best Director, who's decorated career spanned nearly three decades in Hollywood,
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: passed away yesterday. Sadly, John suffered a massive stroke just
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: twelve days after returning from Costa Rica and experiencing problems
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: with his legs. He checked himself into the hospital, and
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: celebrities from Samuel L. Jackson, Regina King, Snoop Dog, Ice Cube,
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: Will Pack, Ri Spike Lee are just heartbroken and in mourning.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: Our prayers and condolences are going out to John Singleton's family. Uh. Such,
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: this was a hard one right here. This was a
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: tough one because I think he touched everyone. He really did,
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: He really really did. Yeah, Quake, you said you mad him?
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: You were friends, yes, friends with him, and what he did.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: He came and he was the gatekeeper to bring us
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: into Hollywood, you know what I mean. He put ice
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: Cube on, he put him and what best he allowed
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: us to be us. I didn't get a chance to
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: work with him. We said we was, but God had
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: other plans. But he was just a great dude. But
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: he was quiet like a few Timmy said, Timmy, He
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: was very quick. Yeah, yeah, cool man, very yeah. Yeah.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: And you know, it's so sad that he died from
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: what he died from. And his family was saying that
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: he suffered from hypertension for many, many years, but he
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: kept it on the low. And what they're asking people
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: to do, especially our black men, because it's rampant in
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: our community, get yourself checked. Yes, you know, please, I
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: mean we really know to take care of Yes, yeah,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: we really do. And because he was so young, health
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: as well. You gotta get a physical. There's no reason
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: for you around here not to know the status of
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: your health. That's right. You know, you got co insurance
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: and you ain't got no health insurance. And I know,
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: y'all my brothers and my fraternity to the morning because
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: he was a member cop Oupha Side Yeah, fraternity incorporated.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: So I know we are definitely we lost it a
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: good diamond. Put it that way. We call him dimes.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: We have lost a good diamond. Oh wow, we didn't
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: talk about it, but we may. Y'all may have said it,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: but that Snowfall was a cold show. He had a
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, we said it earlier. Yes, I love
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: I love it. I love that show. It's art. The acting.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: That was good. It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. Yeah, that's one
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: of John Singleton shows on Fax. Also UM and other
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: news Prayer warriors. We are praying for Peebo Bryson. He's
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: doing better better now. Doctors say Peebo was at home
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: and his Georgia home, at home and Georgia when he
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: suffered a heart attack. This also happened yesterday. This is
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: according to TMZ. His family and medical team are optimistic
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: though he will make his speedy recovery. And it makes
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: us think when Peebo was here too long ago, a
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: few months ago, he was in the studio with his
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: new album with Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis. Yeah, with
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: his brand new um CD. So of course we wish
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: him well. Such a legend Peebo Bryson is in the
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: music industry. We love him. Yeah. Yeah, Man goes back
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: to what we were just saying, Like you said, quake
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: health as wealth. Yes, you know when the last time
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: you've been to the doctor. All these men on the show,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: I get a physical every year. That's my gift to
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: myself to see the status of my health. I always
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: go get a lot of brothers don't go get it
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: physical because they aid of what the results gonna be.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: And I tell y'all know, I go, I'm paranoid. I
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: gotta know what's wrong with me. I know that I
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: got to go. All right, we'll be back with the
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: last break of the day, quake and one so fast
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: with you boy, y'all put the person on quick in
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: this house. I just took my and Steve was off today,
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: but of course, as always, he left us with some
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: closing remarks and we'll hear those and say goodbye to
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: quake right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: All right, quake, I mean really, this time flew by
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: with you, Yes it did. I'm not even sleeping. Yeah,
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: thank you Steve for letting me sit in this million
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: dollar seat. Now, thank you for your time with Georgia.

- 1:31:46Speaker 1: on my Instagram at the real earthquake. I'm gonna be
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: in Jackson, Mississippi at Johnny T's. That's made ten from
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: eleven Mobile, Alabama. On the twelve of May and June
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: fifteenth and sixteen, Try State Father Father's Day show was
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: Cedric the entertainment and Dion Cole. That's right, Father's Day.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: Thank y'all so much. I love y'all. Hit me up
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: at the real earthquake and ain't nothing y'all can do
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: about it. I'm coming back for sure, sliding over here
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: all right. As usual, when Steve's not here, he always
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: leaves us with some inspiring words. You know how that goes?
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: All right, So let's get into these closing remarks from
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: the one and only. He'll be back tomorrow, Steve Harvey. Yes,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: I just want to encourage people to do something really,
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: really simple today. And I think this is something that
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: most people would agree to want. It's really this simple.
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: Everybody should want more for your life. I'm talking about
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: your life right there, the one that you have. You
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: should want more for your life. You should never allow
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: yourself to become complacent. Now, I want you to understand something.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: Some people get complacency confuse with they don't want to
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: seem ungrateful. Once again, some people get complacency confused with
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: not wanting to appear ungrateful. Well, I don't want to
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: keep asking God for nothing because I don't want him
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: to think I ain't grateful for what I have well,
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: thanking for it. Then that's really simple. Simply thank God
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: for what you have. That's the gratitude. But then it's
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: still okay to want more for your life. Here's the
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: good news. God actually wants you to have more for
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: your life. God is really looking for people to show off.
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: He really is. I happen to raise my hand all
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: the time in volunteer I do. I just say God,
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: pick me, come on, do me, use me, show me.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: Now that doesn't mean I'm perfect. I'm far from it.
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: But I do want God's blessings to be able to
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: flow through me. So I keep an open channel in
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: my life for that stuff to flow through. First of all,
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: I want more, that's the beginning of getting it. Then
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: I have the good sense to ask Him for more.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: You have not because you ask not. Well, I happen
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: to be a big asker of stuff. So now I
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: want more. I ask for more. Now here's the trick
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: to asking for more and wanting more. You have got
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: to be willing to do more. Oh, now you gotta
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: do more. Now. That's the one thing that stops so
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: many people from having and wanting more for their life.
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: If God will give you blessings and God will increase
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: your measure in life if God comes to give you
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: life and give you life more abundantly, if He's promised
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: to do that for you. And what you have to
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: do in return is you have to be willing to
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: do more. See you, you can't get more without doing more.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: Convenience is built through inconvenience, you can stop wanting what
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: you see everybody else with and you ain't willing to
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: do what everybody else did to get it quick look
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: at it, Oprah's pile over there. If you ain't willing
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: to do what Oprah did, which to an average person
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: is not because the average person wants to be comfortable,
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: and you can't be successful and stay comfortable. I was
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: interviewing the wrestler on my show yesterday day, but teach
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: a great story. Man. This cat was really out of it,
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: really really fascinating story he had and we were talking
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: and he was talking about living outside your comfort zone.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: And I told him one of the things that I've
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: had to learn how to do in order to become
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: successful is I've had to become comfortable with being uncomfortable.
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: He said, wow, Wow, that's a great way to put
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: this ste I have learned how to be comfortable while
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: I'm uncomfortable, Because in order to get successful, you have
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: to be uncomfortable. You have to do things that you
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: don't feel like doing all the time. You have to
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: show up when you don't want to show up. You
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: have to be there when you feel like being somewhere else.
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: You have to say yes a lot of times when
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: you really want to just say no. That's where you at, man,
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: that's how you become successful. But you can't keep asking
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: God for more and you ain't willing to do more.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: It doesn't make any sense. It cannot happen that way, folks.
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: So come on, I want you to want more for
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: your life. But there's a scripture that that bags that
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: up too. It said to whom much is given, much
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: is required. Now you don't want the requirements, then he
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: gonna have to pull up on a given. But if
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: you want the given, know that here come the requirements.
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: Do not be the one who blocks your own blessing.
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: Want more for your life and be willing to do
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: the things to accept and received them. Drop it boil
