- 1:54Speaker 1: for the very first time. Cassie Davis at that here
- 2:01Speaker 1: head clamps and uh, no, I tell we don't do
- 2:04Speaker 1: music on this show, and we don't do special effects.
- 2:07Speaker 1: We'll do that, we'll do that. What that's you all
- 2:11Speaker 1: special sick? And you said, you know, you go way back.
- 2:20Speaker 1: You can say whatever, but you know, just no, no, no,
- 2:22Speaker 1: no words that give me, give me, give me a
- 2:25Speaker 1: little show taken off there. But what I can't tell
- 2:27Speaker 1: you this now. We can't cuss on the you know,
- 2:30Speaker 1: we don't serious exam but were on publicly, we're on
- 2:34Speaker 1: free radio, free radio. Amen. Let's we go way back.
- 2:41Speaker 1: We go way back to Steve Harvy, way back Dallas,
- 2:44Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, way back, one back, all the way back
- 2:50Speaker 1: there and I and I always saw a talented young
- 2:54Speaker 1: lady and you're still a talented young lady. And then
- 2:58Speaker 1: and then uh, because she's just got singing, Rasha, you
- 3:02Speaker 1: were so encouraging back there. I was, um, I was
- 3:06Speaker 1: a personal assistant, and I just watched your expertise and
- 3:11Speaker 1: just watched how you handled all of the business or
- 3:15Speaker 1: handled the business. And I was inspired. And I knew
- 3:18Speaker 1: that I, you know, had an inkling for acting, but
- 3:21Speaker 1: I had had been burnt so much and I just
- 3:24Speaker 1: got out of the business and I just said, you
- 3:26Speaker 1: know what, this is not for me. Let me just
- 3:28Speaker 1: assist some people. And that's that I went over there.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I started working at Wendy rock Hill's school, Amazing Grace
- 3:34Speaker 1: Conservatory in California, and and I was a personal assistant
- 3:38Speaker 1: for Mr Harvey and Mrs Harvey and um, and I
- 3:42Speaker 1: just had a great time doing that. I was the
- 3:45Speaker 1: minister of music at my church and I just said,
- 3:47Speaker 1: this is where I'm going to be for the rest.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And then I went to Winston Salem, North Carolina, and
- 3:55Speaker 1: and I was doing a favor for somebody. I was
- 3:57Speaker 1: in a place for about ten minutes and Mr Perry
- 3:59Speaker 1: was there, and that man came through and I was
- 4:02Speaker 1: just like, what a man is a dress? Now I'm good.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I'm just gonna stay all over here with Steve. Now
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm good. Thank you though Mr Perry, and he was like, no,
- 4:10Speaker 1: I really want you to be a partner of it.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I enjoyed your performance. And I said okay. And then
- 4:14Speaker 1: one of my preacher friends intervened and said, a food,
- 4:17Speaker 1: that man is calling you and you're not gonna go out.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I was like, no, no, I'm good. She said, hey,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you're for a miss God. I called Mr Perry in
- 4:24Speaker 1: two thousand four, Rashawn, and I've been rolling with that
- 4:27Speaker 1: man ever since. When I tell you he is a quickening,
- 4:30Speaker 1: That's what I referred to him. Man, He's a quickening.
- 4:33Speaker 1: And that is just simply when you are dead and lying,
- 4:36Speaker 1: dormant and you need something to just jolt you and
- 4:39Speaker 1: bring you back to life. That is what Tyler Parry
- 4:42Speaker 1: did for me. And he just really reinfirmed and reinstated
- 4:46Speaker 1: my whole belief in acting and performing and being before people.
- 4:51Speaker 1: And I knew I had a gift, you know, to
- 4:54Speaker 1: be before people only because I didn't need, uh, the accolades,
- 4:59Speaker 1: and I don't I don't need and want to glorify me.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I just really like doing what I'm doing and I
- 5:03Speaker 1: like making people laugh and I love having fun. And
- 5:07Speaker 1: Mr Parry just came in right on time because just
- 5:10Speaker 1: he's just awesome and so I had a great time.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And uh, I went out with him in two thousand
- 5:15Speaker 1: and four, and I've been working with him ever since.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And I heard you say my DIA's Family's funeral family reunion,
- 5:20Speaker 1: but it's really my DIA's Family's Funeral's family funeral. A
- 5:24Speaker 1: hunt that's coming out March one, and um it is hilarious.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And uh, my whole ride with Mr Parry has just
- 5:33Speaker 1: been beautiful. I mean my ride with with with with
- 5:36Speaker 1: Mr with Steve was great. And Michelle and you has
- 5:40Speaker 1: just taught me so much and so I just appreciate
- 5:44Speaker 1: all of you. Let me let me ask you this,
- 5:46Speaker 1: Cassie on the phone with Cassie David's winning incredible talents.
- 5:49Speaker 1: You've seen her face, Yester David's pattern, Rashwan, you don't
- 5:52Speaker 1: know that I'm married. I'm married my high school sweetheart.
- 5:56Speaker 1: That ain't that. Ain't into that by your points? You
- 6:01Speaker 1: need a you know what I'm saying, and put that first.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You know the little patterns right there, ain't nothing that
- 6:07Speaker 1: and nothing. It wasn't on my portal or nothing. Happily marriage, Yes,
- 6:12Speaker 1: that's happily. Then the last name was it B A
- 6:15Speaker 1: D T O N any baby? Yeah, and looked I've
- 6:20Speaker 1: known him since third grade. He was reaching to the
- 6:23Speaker 1: class in first grade, Yes, sir, the booming metropolis of
- 6:27Speaker 1: Holly Spring. Yes, got your Holly Spring daddy. Oh yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 1: I have versus this solid as a rock. I love,
- 6:35Speaker 1: I mean love, been in love. Let me just cast
- 6:38Speaker 1: because because I know her, I know her, you know
- 6:41Speaker 1: she she she was content when she's talking about being
- 6:44Speaker 1: his sister minister of music. She thought that was her life.
- 6:48Speaker 1: But now as that you are famous, you know that, Emma, Yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 1: you know you're famous people. I need to get her Instagram,
- 6:55Speaker 1: I need to get Facebook, I need to get some
- 6:57Speaker 1: I need some young people around me teach me back
- 6:59Speaker 1: and that they need to go bout typewriter. I got them.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I can tell you about typewriter. Keys don't know about typewriter.
- 7:05Speaker 1: But I need help with all this Instagram and social
- 7:08Speaker 1: media group that's new for me, you know. But I
- 7:11Speaker 1: tell you, um, I'm not on it, and that's not
- 7:15Speaker 1: really active in the social but um these young people
- 7:19Speaker 1: that but but I but I still reach lots of people.
- 7:22Speaker 1: And I'm in an airport right now because we're on
- 7:26Speaker 1: tour with Tyler's Farewell but Dia played tour and I'm
- 7:31Speaker 1: going from Columbia, South Carolina to Memphis, Tennessee. And you
- 7:34Speaker 1: know about Memphis, that's like ab I'm a suburb of
- 7:37Speaker 1: suburb of how He's a suburb suburb of Memphis, Tennessee,
- 7:43Speaker 1: The booming metropolis of Holly Springs Mississippi until I'm on
- 7:47Speaker 1: my way home to be with my people, and I'm
- 7:50Speaker 1: excited with Sean. It's just good. Yeah, because of the
- 7:54Speaker 1: fact that when you when you talk about live stage,
- 7:58Speaker 1: that's what you're on, a live stage tour. And then
- 8:00Speaker 1: you've done television and you've done many films. What you
- 8:04Speaker 1: like the most because you're a comedian. You're a comedian
- 8:06Speaker 1: now d and at hard you are a singing comedian.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Thank you give me a definition of this thing called life.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I don't know, Rachel. I'll let me tell you. I
- 8:17Speaker 1: enjoy each medium. I really do. Live theater, there's nothing
- 8:22Speaker 1: better than just you know. You know what's amazing to
- 8:25Speaker 1: me is that these theaters, ten thousand people in one setting,
- 8:29Speaker 1: all strangers, not knowing each other, but they're laughing at
- 8:32Speaker 1: the same time, um, crying at the same time, and
- 8:37Speaker 1: they're enjoying Medea, they enjoyed Tyliperia. They're coming out because
- 8:41Speaker 1: of Tylip Area. Now my job to me is its
- 8:44Speaker 1: Mr Perious pleased, and I've done my job. But when
- 8:47Speaker 1: those people come out and I have to come out
- 8:50Speaker 1: for a curtain call, and they're they're rooting and cheering
- 8:53Speaker 1: and screaming and clapping for me, it is just um
- 8:58Speaker 1: unbelievable because you know, Sean, you know, I don't have
- 9:02Speaker 1: any acting classes. I've never had it, and you know,
- 9:04Speaker 1: and I don't have that agent and manager. So I
- 9:07Speaker 1: sometimes I feel like I'm an illegitimate actress or actor.
- 9:12Speaker 1: But I still serve the same God that that just
- 9:15Speaker 1: surpasses all of the norms and all of the things
- 9:18Speaker 1: that are natural or supposed to be done. But he
- 9:21Speaker 1: I like my testimony, so um, it's to be eased
- 9:28Speaker 1: to is it really really really is? And you say
- 9:32Speaker 1: I'm famous, and and sometimes I sometimes I believe it
- 9:35Speaker 1: because um, just because of all the people that that
- 9:40Speaker 1: greet me, you know, and they're just like, is that
- 9:42Speaker 1: you do? You know who you are? And I'm just like, no,
- 9:45Speaker 1: well you know what I do, but I don't think
- 9:48Speaker 1: you do. Sometimes. The funny point about about you is
- 9:51Speaker 1: that because she's so humble, she really really is so humble,
- 9:56Speaker 1: and so if she so when she walks in a
- 9:59Speaker 1: certain people, for I'll tell you, when you start talking
- 10:01Speaker 1: about her resume, let's start power tied to it, that's
- 10:04Speaker 1: recognition tied to it. So what happens is when people
- 10:07Speaker 1: walk up to her she's so humble. You question, that's
- 10:11Speaker 1: the star. You go, nah, now she'd be acting a
- 10:14Speaker 1: little bit different. What the what the bodyguards all? That
- 10:18Speaker 1: can't be herd sitting over there in that chair by herself,
- 10:21Speaker 1: that can't be her. A chick filate. I can't believe
- 10:24Speaker 1: that's her. And so that's what that's what people are.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Because of the fact that so they come over to it,
- 10:30Speaker 1: they go, are you? They always they would lean to
- 10:32Speaker 1: the right, Are you who you do? You know who
- 10:35Speaker 1: you remind me of? And I just said to I
- 10:38Speaker 1: really do you like her? Yeah? We love her? Oh well,
- 10:43Speaker 1: then this is a compliment here you know that's me.
- 10:47Speaker 1: You don't out of here, you know that's me. And
- 10:50Speaker 1: so it's really a beautiful, beautiful writing. I get to meet.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oh but with television and movies, um, you know, those
- 10:58Speaker 1: things go way way way across the seeds. And to
- 11:01Speaker 1: be in Jamaica somewhere trying to have a vacation and
- 11:04Speaker 1: and there are people with those beautiful accents saying, oh
- 11:07Speaker 1: they good. I don't make me. I can't do the
- 11:09Speaker 1: access right. How about to mess up you know from
- 11:13Speaker 1: missing so but they but they're so excited. Rashan and
- 11:18Speaker 1: and their their messages that Mr Perry um gives it
- 11:22Speaker 1: that that blesses people's lives and continues to motivate people
- 11:27Speaker 1: and keep them dreaming and you know, keep them full
- 11:30Speaker 1: of life. And you know sometimes people come up and say,
- 11:32Speaker 1: my grandmother used to watch you and um and I
- 11:36Speaker 1: just watched how much joy you guys brought her. And
- 11:39Speaker 1: some of them have passed away. And then it's just
- 11:41Speaker 1: I mean, like we had to make a wish. Young
- 11:43Speaker 1: lady come out and she knew all of our lives.
- 11:45Speaker 1: She couldn't really talk very well, but you know, she
- 11:49Speaker 1: was standing there in front of me and talking and saying,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I'm bamn, I know your lives and I know this
- 11:54Speaker 1: and that, and they're repeating those things and that stuff. Man,
- 11:58Speaker 1: you can't buy that. It's just a beautiful moment. It's
- 12:01Speaker 1: a wonderful, wonderful thing to be a part of. And
- 12:03Speaker 1: I'm just I'm great, I'm grateful, gracious to for everything
- 12:08Speaker 1: that for the whole journey. Well, we got on the phone.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Here's Cassie Davis Patton. You know I got to get
- 12:14Speaker 1: that in now because she made a change, because you
- 12:17Speaker 1: don't have certain because she don't have social media, so
- 12:21Speaker 1: she can't make announcements like everybody else social media. Everybody
- 12:24Speaker 1: would have known, but we should have to find out
- 12:27Speaker 1: on his show live and in person. We're gonna be
- 12:29Speaker 1: right back because I really want to break down. Uh,
- 12:32Speaker 1: this is the fining stallmon of Tyler Perry's madea family
- 12:35Speaker 1: Funeral coming out March first shot right here in Georgia. Ah,
- 12:42Speaker 1: I guess, uh, Cassie Davis's Patton in seventeen. She changed
- 12:47Speaker 1: her name for good reason. She's married. She's married to
- 12:51Speaker 1: a young man's childhood because childhood friend. And somebody said,
- 12:58Speaker 1: you know, I ways tell people look act Sometimes you
- 13:00Speaker 1: look back and you look next to you look right left,
- 13:02Speaker 1: that's the person you're supposed to be with. So many
- 13:04Speaker 1: people looking too far away and don't see who they're
- 13:06Speaker 1: supposed to be with. But Holly Sprains, Mississippi, it's the
- 13:10Speaker 1: person she's with. Now, you got a movie coming out,
- 13:15Speaker 1: Tyler Perry. Now. Now in the in the notes they
- 13:17Speaker 1: say right here that Tyler Perry does not die in
- 13:21Speaker 1: this movie. Correct the character Medea, That is correct. The
- 13:27Speaker 1: funeral is not Medea's funeral, right, because I want to
- 13:31Speaker 1: make sure it's a feral, so give us a little
- 13:34Speaker 1: short synopsis old on this whole thing, because look, let
- 13:37Speaker 1: me just let me just say this. You are a
- 13:39Speaker 1: character that has been developed in this series, so we
- 13:43Speaker 1: got a sense of walking in when you come on screen.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Who you are? Correct? Okay? Cool? So when when the
- 13:50Speaker 1: scripts come to you or do they allow you to
- 13:53Speaker 1: make any adjustments to it? Just say, hey, can I
- 13:56Speaker 1: say it this way? How much flexibility do you have
- 13:59Speaker 1: in the script with your care You have to be
- 14:02Speaker 1: honest with you because I've worked with Tyler for over
- 14:05Speaker 1: fifteen years. He really does trust me as um an
- 14:11Speaker 1: actor who will um approach his peace with integrity. But
- 14:17Speaker 1: usually his his writing is already there, and he writes
- 14:21Speaker 1: because he knows what I will say, but because you know,
- 14:25Speaker 1: he has so many other projects on the table. Sometimes
- 14:28Speaker 1: I will say, well, Mr Barry, do you mind if
- 14:31Speaker 1: I try this or if I ever try this? And
- 14:34Speaker 1: if it works for him then he will allow it.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But if it doesn't, it's sign um you know it doesn't.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Sometimes he'll say, oh, Cassie, you do you do you
- 14:43Speaker 1: remember two years ago when you said blah blah blah
- 14:45Speaker 1: blah blah blah, could you try that again? Yes? Sir,
- 14:47Speaker 1: I sure can. So he gives me liberty, but it's
- 14:50Speaker 1: still his work. So um, I approach it as such.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I don't try to get in there and just do
- 14:56Speaker 1: my own group. Do you know, I'm funny Tyler, and
- 14:59Speaker 1: you know I'm this. You know I'm no no, no,
- 15:01Speaker 1: no no. This is the Sand's work. And um, and
- 15:04Speaker 1: the only way you prosper in your own group is
- 15:07Speaker 1: to make sure that you take care of another man's stuff.
- 15:10Speaker 1: So that's what I do. I go in. I approach
- 15:12Speaker 1: it very humbly, as you said. And um sometimes I
- 15:16Speaker 1: can slip a little joke in and he'll say, oh
- 15:18Speaker 1: my god, well let's keep that. That's funny. Okay, let's
- 15:21Speaker 1: keep that, and so um, I really do try to
- 15:24Speaker 1: do what he pens. Well, you know, I'm just day
- 15:27Speaker 1: some funeral. Now. Well in the history, you know, just
- 15:31Speaker 1: a black film. We all know they can be long winded,
- 15:34Speaker 1: they could be uh when they've done right comedically, they
- 15:37Speaker 1: could be historical. Just tell us how it leads up
- 15:40Speaker 1: to this? What was the what's the what's the storyline
- 15:43Speaker 1: that runs through this movie? Medea, the storyline that runs
- 15:49Speaker 1: through this whole movie. It's Media's family member, and um,
- 15:54Speaker 1: I don't want to give it away, Rashwan, but okay, cool, No,
- 15:57Speaker 1: we just someone someone some dies in her family and um,
- 16:04Speaker 1: and it's and Medea has to eventually conduct the funeral,
- 16:09Speaker 1: which is a less but it's just it's but it's
- 16:13Speaker 1: heart felt and it's indicative of that funeral thing. You
- 16:18Speaker 1: know how sometimes some funerals are so sad. All of
- 16:22Speaker 1: them really are sad to somebody, but there's always that
- 16:25Speaker 1: one something that's just like, why did you do that?
- 16:28Speaker 1: Or why did somebody do that? So I think Mr
- 16:31Speaker 1: Perry was just trying to bring to light the likeness
- 16:35Speaker 1: of of of how funerals go and how you know,
- 16:39Speaker 1: death is so final and it's so hard felt, but
- 16:44Speaker 1: even in that sad moment, you can still find joy
- 16:47Speaker 1: and you can still find peace and there's always something
- 16:50Speaker 1: funny happening. Let's go back a little bit, uh your
- 16:53Speaker 1: spell mcgrad and yeah, let me let me just interject.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I was a senior for in years and yet and
- 17:03Speaker 1: I left in college in nine and that's when I
- 17:06Speaker 1: came to California and started working. I came to California
- 17:09Speaker 1: for two weeks for sean, and I left fourteen years
- 17:12Speaker 1: later and so when I met him with Mr Perry, Yes,
- 17:17Speaker 1: when I met up with Mr Perry, he brought me
- 17:19Speaker 1: back to Atlanta to work on House of Pain. And
- 17:23Speaker 1: I was in Atlanta and I was I just went
- 17:24Speaker 1: off the Stone College and said, look, I want my degree.
- 17:28Speaker 1: And I went over and I went in February, and
- 17:31Speaker 1: they said, Cassie, you cave in just enough time. If
- 17:33Speaker 1: you do not get this one credit, that's right, one
- 17:37Speaker 1: credit by December, you're gonna lose all of your credits.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So God's timing is just perfect. I'm telling you, He's
- 17:45Speaker 1: in order. And so when I lost my mind back
- 17:48Speaker 1: in ninety nine and ninety nine and one and decided
- 17:51Speaker 1: I was gonna be grown, and God restored it, brought
- 17:55Speaker 1: it all back to uh to its rightful place, and
- 17:58Speaker 1: I got in there just enough time, and I graduated.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Actually I graduated with Steve's daughter from so and when. Yeah,
- 18:07Speaker 1: they were at my graduations. So it was just perfect,
- 18:11Speaker 1: you know, win it in my heart? Um uh So
- 18:15Speaker 1: it was just a great moment. So I graduated from
- 18:17Speaker 1: Spelma College, yes, sir, in nineteen Uh no, it was
- 18:21Speaker 1: two nine, yeah, but I got the spelment in four.
- 18:26Speaker 1: So that's that's a testiment of wanting to complete something.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Like you said, I would tell people, you know, there's
- 18:32Speaker 1: a lot of things we go through life and we
- 18:34Speaker 1: just let you just don't complete. And if you don't
- 18:37Speaker 1: complete things, then it always feels like what have I
- 18:39Speaker 1: really done in my life? And so and I obviously
- 18:42Speaker 1: tell me about education, they can't report a degree. Once
- 18:45Speaker 1: you get that plaque onund that wall. Bad credit can't
- 18:47Speaker 1: take it down. Somebody can't come and go I want
- 18:49Speaker 1: it back. So that's that's a that's a strong pride
- 18:53Speaker 1: for moment in your life. Correct. I did that, Yes, sir,
- 18:55Speaker 1: it was. It was the most important moment in my life.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Was a sacrifice made by my parents and um and
- 19:04Speaker 1: money galore and time for me and and you know, again,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I thought I was grown and I was trying to
- 19:12Speaker 1: move out on my own, and and I left Stelma
- 19:15Speaker 1: College with that one hour to graduate. I just needed
- 19:18Speaker 1: to do my senior recital and I didn't want to
- 19:20Speaker 1: send there and do classical music. So I really thought
- 19:23Speaker 1: I was standing up for what I thought was right
- 19:26Speaker 1: because they said I couldn't do a gospel song. So
- 19:28Speaker 1: I was just like, hey, do a gospel song then
- 19:30Speaker 1: just like get it. I'm not I do that at all,
- 19:32Speaker 1: but a man, that's kind of stupid. And so UM.
- 19:35Speaker 1: When I came back, they were they allowed me to
- 19:37Speaker 1: do UM a showcase. So I used about twenty seven
- 19:42Speaker 1: of the Spellman Knights that were there during that time,
- 19:45Speaker 1: young ladies, and and my program went very well. They
- 19:48Speaker 1: accepted everything I presented. And and I got my degree
- 19:52Speaker 1: with Sean in December of two thousand eight. And I
- 19:56Speaker 1: marched and I walked, you know, and with snapping down
- 20:01Speaker 1: and all of that, and it was just beautiful. Well
- 20:04Speaker 1: that's important because I want people to hear that on
- 20:06Speaker 1: this show. I want people to hear that there. It's
- 20:08Speaker 1: never too late to go back and complete something that
- 20:10Speaker 1: you started, and then and then and then all of
- 20:13Speaker 1: a sudden, like you said at the time, when you
- 20:16Speaker 1: you stood up for something, and then as you matured,
- 20:19Speaker 1: you realized what what was the fight really all about? Right?
- 20:22Speaker 1: What was the fight? What really I was I really lost.
- 20:26Speaker 1: It was a dead fight. Um. I was fighting for
- 20:29Speaker 1: no reason, but um, and I for real, I just
- 20:33Speaker 1: really think that the Lord knew that I was trying
- 20:35Speaker 1: to stat that for something, but I didn't have to
- 20:38Speaker 1: and uh, in my ignorance, he you know, he just
- 20:41Speaker 1: baited me down and and matured me and and and
- 20:44Speaker 1: then gave me another opportunity to turn back and complete that.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And my parents were happy and uh and I am
- 20:50Speaker 1: so so satisfied to be a legitimate all the night.
- 20:54Speaker 1: You know, you can just go and go and go.
- 20:58Speaker 1: But you know I hadn't grabb situated. So now I
- 21:01Speaker 1: am a Stoma Knight for real. Let's just talk about
- 21:04Speaker 1: a little bit. Let me talk about something I really
- 21:07Speaker 1: didn't do well when I was managing Steve was a
- 21:09Speaker 1: balanced life. That's why I'm so happy that here that
- 21:12Speaker 1: you are a man, a man in your life that
- 21:14Speaker 1: you want to share, Mr Patten. And so how does
- 21:18Speaker 1: that balanced life work for you? Now? What? Being he's
- 21:21Speaker 1: more engaged in your life, how has it changed, Cassie?
- 21:27Speaker 1: How has my marriage changed me? You know what? Let
- 21:31Speaker 1: me just say this, um, to be honest with you,
- 21:35Speaker 1: Rashan and his restored order in my life. Um, I
- 21:38Speaker 1: had a wonderful childhood and I had a father that
- 21:41Speaker 1: was in place, and I was just accustomed to even
- 21:44Speaker 1: when I was working with Steve, and you you know,
- 21:47Speaker 1: I was just accustomed to as a woman. I was
- 21:49Speaker 1: accustomed to just having male leadership. And um, it's just
- 21:55Speaker 1: a wonderful place for me. I'm a help meet, you know,
- 21:58Speaker 1: that is what the Lord has made me to be.
- 22:00Speaker 1: And I understand, you know, my place and uh and
- 22:04Speaker 1: and I enjoy it. I enjoy being a woman. I
- 22:06Speaker 1: enjoy being supportive of my husband. But then there are
- 22:10Speaker 1: times when he has to be supportive of me. But
- 22:12Speaker 1: even in his support of me, Um, I think I
- 22:15Speaker 1: come in line with the vision that he has for
- 22:17Speaker 1: our family. And I'm just excited about making that work. Um.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I'm in love with him. And and I like his
- 22:26Speaker 1: order for his life. And I like how he treat
- 22:29Speaker 1: his mama. You're hearman and so um, and so he
- 22:32Speaker 1: treats me well. And U you know, you you you
- 22:37Speaker 1: have offers and and you have to wage those things
- 22:39Speaker 1: and just see, you know, what are your good sides
- 22:42Speaker 1: and what are your bad sides? But he and I
- 22:44Speaker 1: just mesh and we jail so well together. And there's
- 22:48Speaker 1: so many things that I don't have to explain to him,
- 22:50Speaker 1: just because you know, he's from where I'm from, so
- 22:53Speaker 1: he knows country and he knows ignorant and he knows. Uh,
- 22:57Speaker 1: oh my god, I don't say that. Last knows that.
- 23:01Speaker 1: He knows my sincere, he knows my heart, he knows
- 23:05Speaker 1: you know when I really am sad, he knows when
- 23:07Speaker 1: I'm really really happy, And so I don't have to
- 23:10Speaker 1: explain a lot of things to him. Um, and even
- 23:13Speaker 1: when I do, you know, like we were away from
- 23:16Speaker 1: each other for about twenty years, and even in those
- 23:18Speaker 1: twenty years, we needed it too so that we could
- 23:21Speaker 1: grow up. And so um, now that we've come back together,
- 23:25Speaker 1: I'm just Um. I just love his leadership basically, and
- 23:29Speaker 1: I don't mind him being um the head and I
- 23:33Speaker 1: don't I don't mind, And I'm not too far away.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I've been next, so I try to when those things
- 23:40Speaker 1: go my way. And You're still amazing the movie Tyler
- 23:44Speaker 1: Paris Bada Family Reunion. His theaters watched first. Um, you
- 23:49Speaker 1: wanted the stars. You're also on the road. Uh, please
