- 1:57Speaker 1: The CEO of commercial loan success. John Matheson, Well, good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning and happy Monday to everybody. What what what part
- 2:06Speaker 1: of the country are you calling in from, John, I'm
- 2:08Speaker 1: in lovely sunny ice called Connecticut today. Lord, are you
- 2:13Speaker 1: you got the ice cold part Downpat? Now? I will
- 2:16Speaker 1: say win us southeast of course in a in a
- 2:19Speaker 1: nice ice storm, some with some heavy snow has started
- 2:23Speaker 1: to dominate this part of the country. So I can't
- 2:24Speaker 1: point fingers like we're in warm country right now, because
- 2:27Speaker 1: we're pretty much sisters in chio right now. Sisters, we'll
- 2:33Speaker 1: be able to laugh out loud. Well, good, Well, how
- 2:36Speaker 1: are you doing, my friend? I'm great, and thanks for
- 2:39Speaker 1: having me on. Well, thank you, because my show, Money
- 2:41Speaker 1: Making Conversation is about providing information and also extend the
- 2:45Speaker 1: brands of individuals who come on my show about what
- 2:48Speaker 1: they bring to the entrepreneurship community. And in my situation,
- 2:52Speaker 1: what exactly off the bat, I want to just say it.
- 2:54Speaker 1: What is actually is commercial lending. So commercial lending is
- 3:00Speaker 1: where you are securing money for your business or an
- 3:04Speaker 1: investment property transaction. And in the investment property space, that
- 3:08Speaker 1: usually means you're into an apartment building or you're into
- 3:12Speaker 1: a commercial building. That has over four units in regular
- 3:17Speaker 1: commercial lending, where we go for a business loan, it
- 3:20Speaker 1: might need to expand our business, a line of credit, equipment, loan,
- 3:24Speaker 1: cash flow, any purpose that we might take a business
- 3:27Speaker 1: credit line to try to improve our business or take
- 3:30Speaker 1: advantage of an opportunity. Okay, cool, Now here's my my
- 3:34Speaker 1: my wife. She's a retired uptometris. So yesterday we was
- 3:37Speaker 1: talking and she said, I'm gonna go back to Houston
- 3:42Speaker 1: and I'm gonna open a business. I said, well, how
- 3:44Speaker 1: are you gonna fund it? She said, you I go.
- 3:52Speaker 1: You gotta get a loan. And the reason I said
- 3:54Speaker 1: that because I want to make sure she understands the
- 3:56Speaker 1: ramifications of the profit of law for poor So, uh,
- 4:01Speaker 1: my wife is listening, you know, and she's gonna be
- 4:03Speaker 1: mad at me because I'm for her own front street.
- 4:06Speaker 1: But it's a good lesson because she came to me,
- 4:08Speaker 1: and I probably could fund her long because you're my
- 4:10Speaker 1: wife and my helper, you know. But I felt, from
- 4:12Speaker 1: a business perspective, that will be a mistake. What are
- 4:14Speaker 1: your thoughts, Oh, let's have fun. This is going to
- 4:17Speaker 1: be fantastic. You're gonna love that, You're gonna love that. Um,
- 4:23Speaker 1: let me tell you a quick story how our software
- 4:26Speaker 1: got started, and then I'm going to connect this back
- 4:29Speaker 1: to your wife and how you and her are going
- 4:31Speaker 1: to be able to use software to determine whether or
- 4:35Speaker 1: not her business idea is viable for you to lend
- 4:39Speaker 1: to lend into it. Right, I mean, how many of
- 4:41Speaker 1: us out there are either parents or assisting you know, spouses,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and you know they come to you and they say, hey,
- 4:48Speaker 1: invest in my business opportunity, and you say, well, how
- 4:51Speaker 1: do I know getting paid back? And our software provides
- 4:55Speaker 1: you with the ability to sanity check that idea before
- 4:57Speaker 1: you ever lend to it, as if you were a banker.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But let's start from how I got into this. So
- 5:03Speaker 1: I'm I'm like any other entrepreneur out there. I love
- 5:06Speaker 1: some of the stuff I hear you say about how
- 5:08Speaker 1: you know it didn't come easy. I mean, I put
- 5:11Speaker 1: pretty thirty dollars into my business when I started it
- 5:15Speaker 1: in the late the late eighties. You know, and you know,
- 5:21Speaker 1: and then you know you can imagine you grow from there,
- 5:23Speaker 1: and it gets funny because you get to be my
- 5:24Speaker 1: agement fifties and you start to listen to the things
- 5:28Speaker 1: that you've done in resume form. You go, gee, I've
- 5:30Speaker 1: been around that law. But but along the way, I've
- 5:34Speaker 1: been through three recessions, and primary business was was real
- 5:39Speaker 1: estate development. And in that process, you can imagine, when
- 5:42Speaker 1: you're a real estate developer, you become very comfortable with
- 5:45Speaker 1: borrowing millions of dollars from commercial banks or private lenders
- 5:48Speaker 1: the line the way. So but in the in the
- 5:51Speaker 1: process of that, those recessions change things a lot. And
- 5:55Speaker 1: the last recession I was coming out of it. It
- 5:58Speaker 1: was probably a few years remove from the two thousand
- 6:01Speaker 1: and eight scenario, call it two thousand eleven or twelve,
- 6:04Speaker 1: and I had a property that my bank wanted me
- 6:07Speaker 1: to move off of their books because um, they were
- 6:10Speaker 1: just changing portfolio distribution for whatever reason. So I had
- 6:15Speaker 1: about six months to do it before maturity. And I
- 6:18Speaker 1: had been with this bank for like fourteen years, had
- 6:21Speaker 1: a nice relationship there. So I started to call around
- 6:23Speaker 1: a different banks and saying, Hey, I've got this awesome
- 6:25Speaker 1: asset and I need to move it. And I'm getting yeah,
- 6:28Speaker 1: we're kind of good with what you're telling us, that
- 6:30Speaker 1: we're not all that motivated to do it right, and
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'm staying there. Don't wait a minute. I have track corectord,
- 6:37Speaker 1: perfect credit this that you know everything you need to get.
- 6:39Speaker 1: How come I'm not getting warm fuzzies out there? So
- 6:42Speaker 1: I start to do what any of us in the
- 6:44Speaker 1: audience would do as an entrepreneur. I network to a
- 6:46Speaker 1: resolution and I find commercial relators who who say to me,
- 6:50Speaker 1: you got to call this guy Dan. Who Dan, just
- 6:53Speaker 1: a fast forward is my partner now and commercial o success.
- 6:56Speaker 1: So fast forward to Dan. He said, They said, connect
- 6:58Speaker 1: contact Dan if anybody can do what he can. So
- 7:02Speaker 1: I go to call Dan, and Dan's voicemails full and
- 7:06Speaker 1: I'm like, well, isn't this great? The full voice? He
- 7:11Speaker 1: calls me right back and he says yeah, He goes
- 7:13Speaker 1: my voicemail number is my my cell phone is one
- 7:16Speaker 1: digit removed from the Department of Labor office up here.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So by eight in the morning it's fall I'm like, okay,
- 7:22Speaker 1: so I get it. So now we're gonna so we're
- 7:24Speaker 1: gonna have So I start explaining what I have and
- 7:26Speaker 1: he says, all right, meet me at and we picked
- 7:29Speaker 1: a local diner to meet at, which at our age,
- 7:31Speaker 1: neither one of us should be in a diner, you know,
- 7:33Speaker 1: but but you know, so we're going to the diner
- 7:36Speaker 1: d and he comes in. So I bring my pro
- 7:39Speaker 1: forma no similar to what your wife would bring you.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I bring my numbers on my transaction. It was property,
- 7:45Speaker 1: so I hadn't come and expense. And Dan flips open
- 7:47Speaker 1: a laptop and the screen is back. It's facing back
- 7:50Speaker 1: to me. He says, all right, give me here and
- 7:51Speaker 1: come and expense numbers, and he starts tapping away and
- 7:55Speaker 1: he then turns the screen around and there's this great
- 7:58Speaker 1: big word art go on the screen and I'm looking
- 8:02Speaker 1: at it, going all right, what does that mean? And
- 8:04Speaker 1: this is a fairly large transaction. He goes, it means
- 8:07Speaker 1: you are a go to commercial bank application based on
- 8:11Speaker 1: the numbers you gave me. And I said, I don't understand.
- 8:14Speaker 1: What do you have in there that tells you that?
- 8:16Speaker 1: And he goes, I have on my own software that
- 8:20Speaker 1: I've used ever since my my days in commercial bank.
- 8:23Speaker 1: And I used my own software and I've used it
- 8:26Speaker 1: to that over a billion dollars of commercial real estate
- 8:29Speaker 1: and credit line transactions. And what it does is it
- 8:32Speaker 1: compares your numbers the common commercial bank guidelines and it
- 8:37Speaker 1: tells me before we ever apply for a bank loan,
- 8:41Speaker 1: whether or not you're likely a stop or a go
- 8:45Speaker 1: to proval. Really, now it's changing for me because as
- 8:51Speaker 1: the entrepreneur inside of me is saying, whoa what is
- 8:54Speaker 1: he having there? I'm feeling the ankst to get removed
- 8:56Speaker 1: from my body? Any right? Right? Right? Right? So he
- 8:59Speaker 1: has is software And now you're the entrepreneur, you're the
- 9:02Speaker 1: you're the visionary. Right so now you're okay, your wife's listening.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I know what she's going through. Every single one of
- 9:09Speaker 1: us since this last session, who says we're going to
- 9:12Speaker 1: go for any kind of bank capital And let's face it,
- 9:15Speaker 1: banks are still the best and fairest place for rate
- 9:18Speaker 1: and terms in this country to get money for your business.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Any one of us going into that process today, the
- 9:24Speaker 1: best feeling we have is a little bit of trepidation
- 9:29Speaker 1: all the way to the worst feeling we have, which
- 9:31Speaker 1: is absolute dread of the process. There's just nobody out
- 9:34Speaker 1: there who says, hey, I'm really psyched to go for
- 9:37Speaker 1: a bank own today. Who's worse the bank or the dentist?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Where would you like to go? Right? So? I mean
- 9:42Speaker 1: you sit there and you say, all right, so what
- 9:44Speaker 1: does he have there? Andy? Andy? And so he said,
- 9:47Speaker 1: I said, what do you mean it's your software? Because yeah,
- 9:49Speaker 1: it's my software. I wrote it. I use it for
- 9:51Speaker 1: my clients. I've placed billions of dollars my clients are
- 9:54Speaker 1: are you know? Here's just gonna happen. I'm gonna take
- 9:56Speaker 1: your your information. I'm going to print my one sheet
- 10:00Speaker 1: of paper, which is the output from my software, distributed
- 10:03Speaker 1: to the handful of lenders that I know who are
- 10:06Speaker 1: are will do this and in a couple days you'll
- 10:08Speaker 1: have a letter of intent and you'll have your transaction funded.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I'm looking at him, and that's exactly what happened, but
- 10:14Speaker 1: at that time I don't know it. So I'm looking
- 10:16Speaker 1: at him, going, well, but what I understand? What do
- 10:19Speaker 1: you haven't? And I want that? Hold on, hold on,
- 10:24Speaker 1: I got all this information, but what what what? What's
- 10:27Speaker 1: what's over there? Though? What's over there? Did you so
- 10:29Speaker 1: confident in that's what you're talking about? Yeah? I want
- 10:32Speaker 1: this on my computer. I want to sit there and
- 10:34Speaker 1: and and know before I apply if I'm a stopper
- 10:38Speaker 1: or a bell when. If I'm a stopp it gives
- 10:39Speaker 1: me corrective action. If I'm a go it tells me
- 10:42Speaker 1: to connect with confidence to the institution. I mean, think
- 10:45Speaker 1: of the empowerment. If you're sitting here thinking, hey, they're
- 10:48Speaker 1: gonna I'm good. I can walk into the bank and
- 10:51Speaker 1: say I'm I'm here with my transaction. Would you like
- 10:54Speaker 1: to continue the conversation with me? And that's exactly what's
- 10:57Speaker 1: happening now across the country with our so where from
- 11:00Speaker 1: commercial real estate all the way to business owners. Same
- 11:03Speaker 1: thing that happened with me. So I said that Dan, well,
- 11:06Speaker 1: do you realize the angst that you relieved from me
- 11:08Speaker 1: sitting his day, because yeah, it happens all the time.
- 11:10Speaker 1: People hugged me and Dan is one of the most
- 11:14Speaker 1: heartfelt entrepreneurship ever me. I mean, this is just a
- 11:16Speaker 1: guy who wants to have everybody with a business who's
- 11:20Speaker 1: borrowing to have financial dignity in the process. And so
- 11:24Speaker 1: so even tributing there. And I said to him, so,
- 11:27Speaker 1: have you ever thought about, you know, all the people
- 11:29Speaker 1: out there like me or across the country, and I
- 11:32Speaker 1: know there's millions of them who would love to have
- 11:35Speaker 1: the angst relieved in the commercial bank process, and maybe
- 11:38Speaker 1: we should. Have you ever considered putting this out there
- 11:40Speaker 1: in the cloud? He says, yeah, I have what I've
- 11:42Speaker 1: just been so busy in my consultancy, I haven't done it.
- 11:45Speaker 1: And you know, digital marketing is not my gig. And
- 11:48Speaker 1: I said, well, it just so happens to be mine.
- 11:51Speaker 1: How about we consider doing this together and it was great.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Dan was like, yeah, I'd be happy to do him.
- 11:56Speaker 1: From there it started the journey of where we took
- 12:00Speaker 1: the software from out of Dan's computer to where now
- 12:03Speaker 1: it's at Commercial loan Success dot com in the cloud
- 12:07Speaker 1: where you can use it as somebody who's looking to
- 12:10Speaker 1: do anything from take bank capital for any reason, to
- 12:14Speaker 1: be the business loan and sp a loan, or for
- 12:17Speaker 1: a commercial real estate loan, and you can know that
- 12:20Speaker 1: you qualified before you ever applied. Now when you started
- 12:25Speaker 1: breaking this information back to him, because like I said,
- 12:28Speaker 1: he didn't realize that's how life works. You have a
- 12:31Speaker 1: you have a visionary, and you have a person who
- 12:34Speaker 1: creates application. So he created application and production content as
- 12:38Speaker 1: we say, and then you have this vision to say,
- 12:40Speaker 1: we can take it to the next level. What was
- 12:42Speaker 1: this take on it? When you start pitching that, um,
- 12:45Speaker 1: he loved it. I mean, Dan is a is one
- 12:47Speaker 1: of the most elegant speakers you'll ever meet too. I
- 12:49Speaker 1: mean the video to go to the site. You said,
- 12:51Speaker 1: a great video of you two talking everybody. I'm gonna saying,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna post that on my on my social media.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I've really enjoyed it. That's fun. And you know, so
- 13:00Speaker 1: it's the classic odd couple sitting there because you have
- 13:02Speaker 1: the banker and Dan, and you have the entrepreneur in me.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And I'm defending our entrepreneurial side of the table, going hey, look,
- 13:10Speaker 1: what is it that all of us really want on
- 13:12Speaker 1: ever lender? How about a level of predictability. I mean,
- 13:15Speaker 1: until this point the film, you let's say even you
- 13:18Speaker 1: would think of it's a commercial bank process. It's kind
- 13:21Speaker 1: of a mystery, right, What is it when you give
- 13:23Speaker 1: them their numbers? What is it that they're doing to
- 13:25Speaker 1: determine whether or not you're going to be able to
- 13:28Speaker 1: get the loan that you're requesting to increase your business? Yeah? Great, okay, John, Oh,
- 13:34Speaker 1: when we're gonna come right back. I'm on the phone
- 13:35Speaker 1: talking to the CEO of Commercial Loan Success, John Matheson.
- 13:38Speaker 1: When he comes back, he's going to really start talking
- 13:41Speaker 1: to my wife how she can go online. He's giving
- 13:44Speaker 1: it a tremendous backstory, which is really cool because I
- 13:47Speaker 1: know when I go on my American Express account, they
- 13:49Speaker 1: tell me my spending power. You know, with my spending power,
- 13:52Speaker 1: you also can I can go to my City bank
- 13:54Speaker 1: and they tell me what my score is, you know,
- 13:56Speaker 1: when our credit score is. So this is a more
- 13:59Speaker 1: advanced version pulling all that together to get your commercial loan.
- 14:02Speaker 1: We're back more. We're back with more money Making Conversation.
- 14:05Speaker 1: John Matheson, Hi, just with Sean McDonald. Welcome to money
- 14:10Speaker 1: making Conversation on the phone. Uh glad, this is awesome.
- 14:13Speaker 1: He's the CEEO Commercial Loan Success. Their mission and Commercial
- 14:17Speaker 1: Loan Successes to help small business owners, entrepreneurs, and real
- 14:20Speaker 1: estate investors acquire successful commercial funding through their software, educational
- 14:25Speaker 1: material and other resources. Please welcome back to money Making Conversation.
- 14:29Speaker 1: The CEO of Commercial Loan Success John Matheson, How you doing, John?
- 14:34Speaker 1: You okay? John? Now we've got to set up. Now.
- 14:37Speaker 1: My wife comes into come to I was in the
- 14:40Speaker 1: kitchen cooking, you know, I was cooking, and she said
- 14:43Speaker 1: she said, she's a retired optometris And she says that
- 14:46Speaker 1: I'm looking for a place in Houston she's licensed and
- 14:50Speaker 1: uh and she says, uh, you know, I think I
- 14:52Speaker 1: found myself. I wanted to like, um, you know, open
- 14:55Speaker 1: of new business and and I said, who's gonna fund it?
- 15:00Speaker 1: And she said you And I went, I don't think
- 15:03Speaker 1: that's a good business move. And then you said, ros Sean,
- 15:07Speaker 1: that's the conversation we want to talk about. So what'd
- 15:10Speaker 1: she should do next? Here? Because because because the loaner,
- 15:15Speaker 1: the loaning guy, that's me on the fence. Sure, hey, listen,
- 15:18Speaker 1: this is what this is how business to start, right,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I mean, it goes all the way back to the
- 15:23Speaker 1: beginning of business. Somebody in the private community puts money
- 15:26Speaker 1: into somebody that they know to start a business. The
- 15:29Speaker 1: wonderful concept. So the question is, how do you know
- 15:33Speaker 1: that she's a good risk and that you're going to
- 15:35Speaker 1: get your money back as opposed to just knowing that
- 15:37Speaker 1: she's your wife. Yes, that would go, that would go.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I'm removing love from the whole of marriage. I'm moving
- 15:44Speaker 1: all that from the equation. That's right, right. So we
- 15:49Speaker 1: are a software and education platform. We are not a
- 15:52Speaker 1: lender of brokers. We're here to use analytics to determine
- 15:56Speaker 1: the viability of what can happen when she becomes back
- 16:00Speaker 1: as a startup, it can be hard to get institutional capital. Now,
- 16:04Speaker 1: there's plenty of options out there. You can google all
- 16:06Speaker 1: the options for different money that you can get as
- 16:09Speaker 1: a startup. But the most common thing that we see
- 16:12Speaker 1: is the family friend investor that gets things started. So
- 16:16Speaker 1: when you're on commercial and success dot com and you
- 16:18Speaker 1: scroll down, you'll find boxes of who are the c
- 16:21Speaker 1: l S users, and one of them is the family
- 16:24Speaker 1: and peer to peer lender. And we say a in
- 16:26Speaker 1: the site, analyze the viability of a friend or family
- 16:29Speaker 1: members request for you to invest in a business or
- 16:32Speaker 1: property right. So she goes and she grabs our business
- 16:36Speaker 1: loan screener. All of our screeners are only a hundred
- 16:40Speaker 1: forty seven to a hundred dollars each, very affordable way
- 16:44Speaker 1: to analyze to be able to speak to her private
- 16:46Speaker 1: lender who happens to be you. She opens it up,
- 16:49Speaker 1: she puts in her expected income and expenses on our business.
- 16:53Speaker 1: If she's going to go into business, she's gonna want
- 16:55Speaker 1: to know what she thinks her income and expenses are.
- 16:59Speaker 1: And she does it up for and then maybe she says,
- 17:01Speaker 1: well where should I be in year two, because the
- 17:03Speaker 1: year two she's she's bankable if she's turning a profit
- 17:07Speaker 1: because she has history behind her, she has an expertise
- 17:10Speaker 1: that's got legacy, and she's able to let demonstrate profitability.
- 17:14Speaker 1: So at that point she could take a commercial bank
- 17:17Speaker 1: loan to repay you. So the question is, what are
- 17:20Speaker 1: those numbers really look like? Has she taken the time
- 17:23Speaker 1: to do those and if not, she probably shut And
- 17:27Speaker 1: if she hands you a document that says, hey, hubby,
- 17:30Speaker 1: I just did this based on commercial bank guidelines on
- 17:34Speaker 1: third party software that I bought to show you that
- 17:37Speaker 1: my business works, you now have a lending decision, because
- 17:42Speaker 1: if it's a go, she's lendable at the point in
- 17:45Speaker 1: time that her numbers actually hit the level that she's
- 17:50Speaker 1: put him in at. Okay, cool. Now that that's one way.
- 17:53Speaker 1: That's the that's the family and friend alone now, because
- 17:57Speaker 1: when you come to me, I'm a much not going
- 18:00Speaker 1: to repo anything. I'm being like, you know, you know,
- 18:03Speaker 1: quietly made, quietly made you know, yeah, you don't that
- 18:07Speaker 1: much choice and quietly mad over there. What's wrong, baby,
- 18:11Speaker 1: nothing nothing, nothing, ignore my teeth. I'll just grinding. I'm
- 18:14Speaker 1: just grinding nowhere now. Now the other way is the
- 18:18Speaker 1: bank how does that work with your software system? Well so,
- 18:22Speaker 1: and on the bank side, you can imagine if you
- 18:25Speaker 1: have how how the bank's market for customers today, And
- 18:29Speaker 1: if you have a commercial person in buying a ten
- 18:32Speaker 1: unit apartment building or getting a hundred thousand to two
- 18:36Speaker 1: credit line request on an established business using third party
- 18:40Speaker 1: software that they fought pre screening themselves determine if they're
- 18:44Speaker 1: a stop or a go, you can imagine the bankers
- 18:48Speaker 1: really want to meet that person, right And what's happening
- 18:52Speaker 1: that now is with our platform, we're creating where you
- 18:56Speaker 1: can digitally connect to the bankers in your area that
- 18:59Speaker 1: you know today. It's a download, print, and share you
- 19:01Speaker 1: It's a one sheet of paper that comes out of
- 19:03Speaker 1: our software. You download it, you print, and you share
- 19:06Speaker 1: it with the community banker or a commercial banker of
- 19:09Speaker 1: your choice in your area. So when you're gonna be
- 19:12Speaker 1: able to push a button and do that digitally across
- 19:14Speaker 1: the country to where you are able to present the
- 19:17Speaker 1: banker with your information and ask them if they'd like
- 19:19Speaker 1: to connect with you on your loan requests. It's all
- 19:24Speaker 1: about expedience. We want to expedite the process of lender
- 19:30Speaker 1: of customers to lender. If you think about what happens
- 19:33Speaker 1: today for a commercial loan for your wife, she could
- 19:35Speaker 1: put together any level of documentation on a historical or
- 19:40Speaker 1: her new business. She walks into a banker, there's a
- 19:42Speaker 1: wonderful presentation, and what typically occurs is she gets to
- 19:47Speaker 1: now wait for a response. And we said to each other,
- 19:51Speaker 1: Dan and I, you know we can change that. Bankers
- 19:53Speaker 1: are very illocal people. They know what numbers they want
- 19:56Speaker 1: to see coming in to determine if somebody should move
- 19:59Speaker 1: immediately application. Why don't we just provided with that information
- 20:03Speaker 1: in a very distilled, concise fashion up front empower The
- 20:07Speaker 1: entrepreneur feeling is though, hey, I'm good, I know that
- 20:11Speaker 1: my my numbers are pre screened. I'm gonna go. Let's
- 20:15Speaker 1: do business. And the banker looks sentences. Yeah. So now
- 20:17Speaker 1: the banker wants to meet all of our people that
- 20:20Speaker 1: are coming through. So we're connecting those them now and
- 20:24Speaker 1: over the next year will continue to open more markets
- 20:27Speaker 1: for connectivity. And she would be able to that down
- 20:30Speaker 1: in your area. If you said, you know what, honey,
- 20:33Speaker 1: I'm a little bit shy to the process today, she
- 20:36Speaker 1: can show you and say, well, guess what, I just
- 20:38Speaker 1: got a loan from a bank. Don't, don't, don't, I gotta,
- 20:42Speaker 1: I got a job, don't I'm don't don't don't say
- 20:45Speaker 1: me short, Yeah, I got I got the funds, I
- 20:47Speaker 1: got the internal funds. But let's talk about a couple
- 20:50Speaker 1: of things. CPS and other professional user of software to
- 20:53Speaker 1: help their business clients. I'll tell you finance, how do
- 20:55Speaker 1: they do that? How do the CPS and other professionals
- 20:57Speaker 1: use your software? So it's good stuff in the c
- 21:00Speaker 1: p A has what for customers business clients, and those
- 21:04Speaker 1: business clients often will come to the c p A
- 21:06Speaker 1: and the accounting professional and say, hey, I need a
- 21:08Speaker 1: bank or from or how do you think I look
- 21:11Speaker 1: on the numbers for a credit line, or I'd like
- 21:13Speaker 1: to buy this building as part of my portfolio. It's
- 21:16Speaker 1: a common conversation with the c p A. And the
- 21:19Speaker 1: c p A is in a position where there's no
- 21:21Speaker 1: analytics available to determine how the commercial bank thinks, so
- 21:25Speaker 1: they'll typically if they do anything, they would refer to
- 21:27Speaker 1: somebody they know in the commercial bank community. Now they're
- 21:31Speaker 1: able to actually help their clients at a at a
- 21:33Speaker 1: much more deep level, where they're able to say, hey,
- 21:36Speaker 1: that software here, I can do analytics for you to
- 21:38Speaker 1: determine if your stopper go, I have all your numbers.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Would you like me to run that and you can download,
- 21:44Speaker 1: print and share or connect into the digital platform with
- 21:47Speaker 1: a banker. Would you like me to do that for you?
- 21:49Speaker 1: Or would you like me to provide you with the
- 21:51Speaker 1: one sheet and you go do it? Or there's the software.
- 21:54Speaker 1: It's at Commercial and success dot com. Check it out,
- 21:57Speaker 1: see if it works for me. If it does print
- 21:59Speaker 1: your one sheet and go to your banker, it could
- 22:01Speaker 1: be much better conversation than the one that has historically
- 22:05Speaker 1: been happening. This is really so cool. So so basically
- 22:09Speaker 1: just walked from my wife through the steps. Okay, so
- 22:11Speaker 1: what does she go to to get the package to
- 22:14Speaker 1: be in? This package is hers? Is it forever as
- 22:17Speaker 1: a one time use? So it's her what it is
- 22:20Speaker 1: an annual subscription, So she has her own dashboard. It's
- 22:23Speaker 1: completely confidential. No lender has seen any of her inputs.
- 22:27Speaker 1: It's just like you would get word or Excel on
- 22:30Speaker 1: your computer. You are going to commercial and success dot com.
- 22:34Speaker 1: She navigates to the product page. She's starting a business.
- 22:37Speaker 1: So she buys the business loan screener and she gets that,
- 22:41Speaker 1: she gets her user name password, and she goes we
- 22:44Speaker 1: have a resource center that helps her with videos and
- 22:47Speaker 1: written tutorials every step of the way. There's tooltips in
- 22:50Speaker 1: the software. It's so easy to use. It will take
- 22:53Speaker 1: her five to ten minutes top stent or all any
- 22:56Speaker 1: information in there that she would need. All this fields
- 22:59Speaker 1: are all labeled for. And then she hits run analysis
- 23:02Speaker 1: and the software tells her if she's likely bankable or
- 23:05Speaker 1: not from the information she put in. If it says no,
- 23:09Speaker 1: she can go back in and she can tweak that
- 23:11Speaker 1: info to determine, well, what do I have to do?
- 23:14Speaker 1: How much more income do I need to get the
- 23:16Speaker 1: loan that I want? How much less expenses maybe do
- 23:19Speaker 1: I need? And she can manage that into over time
- 23:22Speaker 1: as her business matures. When she goes from startup to
- 23:27Speaker 1: a couple of years to five years, she can now
- 23:29Speaker 1: completely manage fall of her all of her borrowing one
- 23:33Speaker 1: dashboard for her business and sanity checked herself and make
- 23:36Speaker 1: sure that she's not over extending and not taking on
- 23:39Speaker 1: too much leverage. Ever, I love it because the fact
- 23:42Speaker 1: that I always people always start what is your business plan?
- 23:46Speaker 1: What is your business budget? This forces them to do
- 23:49Speaker 1: that before they enter into your software, which I think
- 23:52Speaker 1: is really the key to this whole madness and was
- 23:54Speaker 1: also my key to my hesitation with her not saying
- 23:57Speaker 1: that she hasn't run a successful business in the past,
- 23:59Speaker 1: but I'm seen her grinding numbers around the house. No,
- 24:02Speaker 1: I'm going you know, you know, you know, you know,
- 24:06Speaker 1: you know you'd be grinding um, you know, you know
- 24:08Speaker 1: somebody working on a budget. Okay, I see People magazine,
- 24:12Speaker 1: But well what about the budget though? And so this,
- 24:15Speaker 1: this is good, This is really good. I got a
- 24:17Speaker 1: fantastic story for a friend of mine who is sounds
- 24:20Speaker 1: a lot like her. He is as decorated as you
- 24:22Speaker 1: can get in and as educated as you can get
- 24:25Speaker 1: in the health and wellness services business. Starts his own
- 24:28Speaker 1: business and he is a He's a Ramsey guy. He's
- 24:31Speaker 1: dead diverse, and I flamed him. Well, I am too
- 24:34Speaker 1: in my personal ledger. But business is different. You need
- 24:36Speaker 1: to leverage to grow. It's just part of it. He says.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I've got so many people I'm able to help here,
- 24:41Speaker 1: but I need that staff, and I need to get
- 24:43Speaker 1: an office space, and I need to get some money
- 24:45Speaker 1: in What do I do? So? I took his numbers,
- 24:48Speaker 1: put him through our business loan screener, and then gave
- 24:50Speaker 1: him the output and told him what I felt he
- 24:52Speaker 1: should be able to get for a credit line. And here,
- 24:54Speaker 1: from a couple of months go by, I get a
- 24:57Speaker 1: text from real Love. This text comes in. Now, this
- 25:00Speaker 1: is a guy in top shape. He's in his fifties
- 25:03Speaker 1: with ripped abs. He's enviable the sky right, I get.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I get a text he says, my fat pants are loose.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I'm looking at it, going, what does he mean his
- 25:13Speaker 1: fat pants are loose? You know? So I call him.
- 25:16Speaker 1: I said, what the heck is this? He goes, Oh,
- 25:17Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I didn't prep you. He goes, that's from
- 25:20Speaker 1: a client of mine. He goes, I've helped him lose
- 25:24Speaker 1: so much weight that he's me telling me his fat
- 25:27Speaker 1: Answer you, he says, John is his bald because of
- 25:30Speaker 1: your software. Awesome, Hey, John, thank you for calling on
- 25:32Speaker 1: my show Commercial Success, John matheson. My wife will be
