- 2:05Speaker 8: listening to the voice, come on dig me now. One
- 2:07Speaker 8: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, man or man?
- 2:12Speaker 8: Almost forgot I had one this morning. But I'm okay.
- 2:16Speaker 8: I'll tell you who I am in a little bit.
- 2:18Speaker 8: You know, I get around. Man, it's so much. But man,
- 2:21Speaker 8: good morning everybody. You know today. I was having a
- 2:26Speaker 8: conversation with my wife last night, and we were talking
- 2:30Speaker 8: about our plans. You know, we often sit down, you know,
- 2:34Speaker 8: just like a married couple. I mean, you know, you
- 2:36Speaker 8: know we're married. You know, we have children, we have aspirations,
- 2:40Speaker 8: we have hopes, we I mean know, we have things
- 2:42Speaker 8: we want. You know, when you're married, you know, I
- 2:46Speaker 8: mean it's important to sit with your partner. I'm not
- 2:48Speaker 8: telling you anything you don't know, it's common sense. Really,
- 2:51Speaker 8: it's important to sit down with the person that you've
- 2:54Speaker 8: chosen and decided to share your life with it and
- 2:57Speaker 8: have multiple conversations on a lot of things. And we
- 3:00Speaker 8: try to make sure that all of our conversations aren't
- 3:04Speaker 8: always just business related and always kid related, you know,
- 3:09Speaker 8: because that that becomes it's a part of it. But
- 3:14Speaker 8: it weighs so much on the marriage that because that's
- 3:18Speaker 8: the grunt work of being married. You know, your children,
- 3:21Speaker 8: your family, your bills, your mortgage, your your car notes,
- 3:26Speaker 8: you know the what's due, what's coming up, and if
- 3:31Speaker 8: you're not careful, you'll you'll start that becomes the focal
- 3:36Speaker 8: point of you all's conversation. And this woman or man
- 3:40Speaker 8: or person that you've decided to have this life with,
- 3:43Speaker 8: all of a sudden, they're an extension of your business
- 3:47Speaker 8: and you guys become business partners.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Or whatever and and just get so anywhere.
- 3:53Speaker 8: I'm just saying that that is important to sit down
- 3:56Speaker 8: and have these conversations, but it's even more important to
- 3:59Speaker 8: have of the other conversation. You know, it's important with
- 4:03Speaker 8: the person that you're planning on making the run with
- 4:06Speaker 8: to sit down and talk about other things, you know,
- 4:10Speaker 8: on a more upbeat note. You know, we were having
- 4:13Speaker 8: a conversation and she was reminding me of what she
- 4:18Speaker 8: loved about me, and then I, in turn, was turned
- 4:21Speaker 8: around telling her the things that I admired about her
- 4:24Speaker 8: and loved about her. And we kind of have these
- 4:27Speaker 8: all the time, you know, when we sit down and
- 4:30Speaker 8: we talk about the things that we still enjoy about
- 4:33Speaker 8: one another, or we may talk about some of the
- 4:36Speaker 8: things that we miss in one another, but we constantly
- 4:39Speaker 8: have these conversations about appreciation. You know, it's so important, man,
- 4:44Speaker 8: that the other person feels appreciated. So these things important.
- 4:49Speaker 8: But we got into the conversation deeper last night, and
- 4:52Speaker 8: I was telling her about this idea that I had
- 4:56Speaker 8: and that I wanted her to help me with and
- 4:59Speaker 8: make a phone call for me because she knows these
- 5:02Speaker 8: people and I was going to be doing this, and
- 5:04Speaker 8: then my wife reminded me of something not once again,
- 5:08Speaker 8: you know, as always, you know, when I'm talking to you,
- 5:11Speaker 8: I just keep it as real as I can. I
- 5:13Speaker 8: don't know the Bible inside out. I can't quote to
- 5:17Speaker 8: you scriptures and tell you exactly where it is. I
- 5:20Speaker 8: just you know, I heard her say it, but it
- 5:22Speaker 8: kind of blew by me. I was telling her about
- 5:26Speaker 8: something I wanted to make happen, and she reminded me
- 5:29Speaker 8: that there's a scripture somewhere, and somebody emailed it to
- 5:32Speaker 8: me today.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 5:33Speaker 8: Well, the Bible reminds us not to be anxious for anything.
- 5:38Speaker 8: Don't be anxious for something. And you know, it really
- 5:42Speaker 8: mattered to me at that point yesterday that she brought
- 5:45Speaker 8: this to my attention, because how many times I've been
- 5:48Speaker 8: guilty of that in my past and I've learned better now,
- 5:52Speaker 8: but every now and then I need to be reminded,
- 5:55Speaker 8: you know. And I think that what she was saying
- 5:59Speaker 8: to me was, you know, I've gotten to a point
- 6:02Speaker 8: in my life and when we all should get to
- 6:04Speaker 8: a point where you know, you've heard old people say this,
- 6:08Speaker 8: if you're gonna pray about something, then don't worry about it,
- 6:11Speaker 8: And if you're gonna worry about it, don't pray about it.
- 6:15Speaker 8: Back to this, be anxious for nothing, don't. If you're
- 6:19Speaker 8: going to trust in God, didn't do that, And trusting
- 6:24Speaker 8: in him means sometimes you got to be patient. God
- 6:30Speaker 8: has never been too late. You don't know the plan
- 6:34Speaker 8: he has you don't know. You don't really always know
- 6:36Speaker 8: his will. You definitely don't know his route, his way
- 6:40Speaker 8: of doing anything. So he's always on time. He's always
- 6:44Speaker 8: been there on time for me. He's always been there
- 6:47Speaker 8: on time for you. How many times have you thought
- 6:50Speaker 8: it was over only to find out it's really just begun.
- 6:55Speaker 8: How many times have people wrote you off? There are
- 7:00Speaker 8: those of you who have lost jobs, but you are
- 7:04Speaker 8: still maintaining. But man, God has already began to turn
- 7:09Speaker 8: around process for many of us. Some of us lost
- 7:13Speaker 8: jobs and now have better jobs. Some of us lost
- 7:17Speaker 8: jobs and now has forced us to rekindle that dream
- 7:21Speaker 8: and that vision for business we had. Sometimes the mishap
- 7:26Speaker 8: is the thing you need to make something good happen.
- 7:30Speaker 8: See a lot of times we get so comfortable in
- 7:33Speaker 8: our life where we just we get complacent. We just
- 7:38Speaker 8: settled in and when this is it and this is
- 7:41Speaker 8: what I'm doing. But in actuality, God has a tremendous
- 7:45Speaker 8: amount of abundance for you. He has an amazing amount
- 7:48Speaker 8: of things. He has all these boxes packaged up with
- 7:52Speaker 8: your name on him that he's willing to ship if
- 7:55Speaker 8: you would just align yourself with some of his wills
- 7:59Speaker 8: so you could get some of these things. How many
- 8:01Speaker 8: times have you thought it was over and it didn't
- 8:04Speaker 8: really go over. How many times have you thought have well,
- 8:08Speaker 8: this is it and it wasn't it at all. Well,
- 8:11Speaker 8: how many times have you thought, well, it don't look
- 8:13Speaker 8: like this gonna work out, and it didn't work out,
- 8:15Speaker 8: but then something better came along. How many times has
- 8:19Speaker 8: that happened? You've got to realize this.
- 8:22Speaker 5: Man.
- 8:22Speaker 8: I was talking to a family who had got displaced
- 8:25Speaker 8: from the Katrina thing that happened down there in New Orleans.
- 8:29Speaker 8: And Man, when they said, yeah, we got a displaced
- 8:32Speaker 8: from Katrina, and I braced myself because, oh, woe is me?
- 8:36Speaker 8: Here comes this story. I gotta hear this, and I
- 8:38Speaker 8: gotta be encouraged and think of something. It was totally different.
- 8:41Speaker 8: They totally totally blew me away.
- 8:45Speaker 9: Man.
- 8:45Speaker 8: The brother said, Man, is actually the best thing that
- 8:48Speaker 8: ever happened to my family. And I went whoa And
- 8:52Speaker 8: he said, yeah, man, he said, because what happened was,
- 8:55Speaker 8: he said, I got settled in. He said, Plus, I
- 8:58Speaker 8: was doing some things outside of my marriage down there,
- 9:02Speaker 8: he said, I was doing some stuff in the streets.
- 9:04Speaker 8: I ain't need to be doing. He said, Man, it
- 9:06Speaker 8: all got washed away. We thought our life would never
- 9:09Speaker 8: be the same. But he said, man, my life ain't
- 9:11Speaker 8: need to be the same. He said, Man. Now we
- 9:14Speaker 8: live up here in Texas. We got a house, don't
- 9:18Speaker 8: know nobody, he said, I ain't got nobody I know
- 9:20Speaker 8: to get into trouble with. He said, Man, I done
- 9:22Speaker 8: rediscovered my wife, how beautiful she really is, how much
- 9:26Speaker 8: my family really was counting on me. And he said, man,
- 9:28Speaker 8: it straightened me up. Man, he said, so, I gotta
- 9:31Speaker 8: tell you, Steve, it was the best thing that ever
- 9:33Speaker 8: happened to me. Now that's not always the case, but
- 9:37Speaker 8: it's how you look.
- 9:37Speaker 2: At a situation.
- 9:39Speaker 8: But just don't be anxious for anything, because God got
- 9:42Speaker 8: a fix for you if you just let him work.
- 9:45Speaker 8: So just stay on course, stay focused, don't lose faith,
- 9:50Speaker 8: don't be anxious. Man, just stay in the wheel. Let
- 9:54Speaker 8: God work with you. He got some great stuff in
- 9:56Speaker 8: store for you.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening easy to Steve. Morning Shad.

- 14:47Speaker 3: Okay, let me ask you something, man. The theme you
- 14:50Speaker 3: got in your yard? Where you get that idea from?
- 14:52Speaker 11: What do you mean where I get them from?
- 14:54Speaker 5: The idea?
- 14:54Speaker 3: Like you got the snowman, you got Santa Claus and
- 14:58Speaker 3: rain deals, you got your whole house? Erdy, where did
- 15:01Speaker 3: you get your idea from?
- 15:02Speaker 11: I'm lost what you're talking about?
- 15:03Speaker 3: Man?
- 15:04Speaker 11: You ask me where I got a theme from? I
- 15:06Speaker 11: mean you trying to imply for them.
- 15:08Speaker 3: I'm I'm asking you a question, where did you get
- 15:10Speaker 3: the idea from?
- 15:11Speaker 11: I made this up. I made this up. Jesus Jesus
- 15:14Speaker 11: in the major you know that represents christ Man. You
- 15:16Speaker 11: go with a team at Christmas Base, Man, and that's
- 15:18Speaker 11: that's Christmas Base. Jesus is Christmas Jesus and just in
- 15:21Speaker 11: Jerusalem and Beth Lamb And hey, what what's going on?
- 15:25Speaker 5: Man?
- 15:25Speaker 2: Who are you?
- 15:26Speaker 5: Where you get my number from?
- 15:27Speaker 3: Any I'm manny Man, I'm manny I got I got
- 15:30Speaker 3: your number from one of the people that live on
- 15:32Speaker 3: your street. And I'm just asking you on the reel
- 15:35Speaker 3: where you get this idea from?
- 15:37Speaker 5: I made this idea?
- 15:38Speaker 11: If I made this up? Man, I made this up
- 15:41Speaker 11: just the second time you asked me where I get
- 15:42Speaker 11: this idea from? What are you trying to import it?
- 15:44Speaker 5: Go the real deal?
- 15:45Speaker 3: Doog the same thing you got if you come fos
- 15:48Speaker 3: streets over. I got the same thing in my yard
- 15:51Speaker 3: and it looked like you just stole my idea. And
- 15:54Speaker 3: see what what you ain't gonna do is try to
- 15:56Speaker 3: win Christmas yards of the season, And you stole my idea.
- 16:01Speaker 3: That's the problem I got with you.
- 16:02Speaker 11: Now, the problem you got is life and twisted. Okay,
- 16:06Speaker 11: because see I put this together without it. I never
- 16:08Speaker 11: even heard of you, man begin with. Secondly, I've been
- 16:12Speaker 11: doing this particular theme in my yards since I'm just
- 16:14Speaker 11: staying over I'm just staying over here. Six years.
- 16:16Speaker 3: You ain't had that. You ain't had that theme last year.
- 16:18Speaker 3: You ain't had that.
- 16:19Speaker 11: Man, this theme last year and the year before. And
- 16:21Speaker 11: I put my stuff in the same place every damn
- 16:24Speaker 11: time I put it down.
- 16:24Speaker 3: You did not have this last ye.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Talk about who are you to call.
- 16:27Speaker 11: Me and tell me about my theme and about my
- 16:29Speaker 11: yard and what you got going. I I know you
- 16:31Speaker 11: ain't copy in there.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Man, I'm gonna tell you right now, and I ain't
- 16:34Speaker 3: finna go no further. You need to rearrange your theme
- 16:37Speaker 3: and get a different thing, because you got the same
- 16:39Speaker 3: theme I got.
- 16:40Speaker 11: Now you need to rearrange your okay, because I ain't
- 16:43Speaker 11: rearranging jack over here.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Hey, man, let me tell you if I got to
- 16:46Speaker 4: come over there.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Man, I'm being real as real as I can be
- 16:49Speaker 3: with you. If I got to come over there and
- 16:51Speaker 3: unplugged stuff, if you got some work.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Come well, if I got to come over to your
- 16:56Speaker 5: house unplugged some stuff unplugged.
- 16:58Speaker 11: Now now now free that thing. My foot will be
- 17:01Speaker 11: getting a plug from your First of all, you ain't
- 17:03Speaker 11: gonna come on my street, in my house and just
- 17:05Speaker 11: to take me at all about anything that I got
- 17:08Speaker 11: set up in my yard, segularin over that way.
- 17:11Speaker 5: I'll tell you what. Then, I'm just gonna do this
- 17:12Speaker 5: ship I'm finnah.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Just come over there and take Jesus and take them
- 17:17Speaker 3: and take them wise men out your yard.
- 17:19Speaker 5: That's what I'm finna do.
- 17:20Speaker 11: Come over this way, talking about messing with Jesus in
- 17:22Speaker 11: the manger. It's gonna be some real poles because foot
- 17:24Speaker 11: of all, that's sake, seg that's that's the center of
- 17:27Speaker 11: the pool. Now, if you want to come over here
- 17:28Speaker 11: and you want to kind of do something like that,
- 17:30Speaker 11: you go need Jesus to help you, because there's gonna
- 17:32Speaker 11: be some rolling round going on, like y'all.
- 17:35Speaker 3: What the bottom line is just right here, you've got
- 17:37Speaker 3: the nerve to do the same thing I got. I'm
- 17:40Speaker 3: full streets over, I'm driving through looking at everybody.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Here, man, looking at everybody.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Got you the only one time here as.
- 17:47Speaker 11: I ain't seen the same way the same place Lily
- 17:50Speaker 11: Dot long year and nobody ever came on me. Your
- 17:53Speaker 11: stuff looks like them, and from profile sets, I would
- 17:56Speaker 11: have had as many any way. Man, ain't got no
- 17:58Speaker 11: light coming on my street, cause you don't stow on
- 18:00Speaker 11: the street. You going around looking at people trying to
- 18:02Speaker 11: get your ideas.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Man, You not a rich No, No, I'm I'm very original.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I moved to this neighborhood before you did.
- 18:09Speaker 5: I've been here.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I've been here ten years. You've been here about six.
- 18:12Speaker 3: How long you've been living over here.
- 18:14Speaker 11: I've been living over here six years. This forether the
- 18:16Speaker 11: division was just coming up when I came over here.
- 18:18Speaker 11: I ain't gonna tell me you've been running your team's
- 18:19Speaker 11: long and I've been running mind.
- 18:21Speaker 5: Go you clear, hey, man, And it ain't I ain't
- 18:23Speaker 5: that time to go back. Man. You know what, I
- 18:24Speaker 5: got better things do.
- 18:25Speaker 11: I still got some more life to put up. Hey,

- 22:08Speaker 9: and she's letting one of her old male friends stay
- 22:10Speaker 9: in the house and isn't charging him the full rent.
- 22:14Speaker 9: I think he's a bootlegger because there's a stash of
- 22:17Speaker 9: liquor in the basement and I have watched people come
- 22:20Speaker 9: and go from there. I told my mom it's time
- 22:23Speaker 9: to sell the property, and she got upset. I suspect
- 22:26Speaker 9: she might be part of his underground enterprise. How do
- 22:30Speaker 9: I go against my mom?
- 22:33Speaker 2: You can't. You can't.
- 22:35Speaker 8: It's probably your mama's house. I don't know how it worked,
- 22:38Speaker 8: how y'all bought it. I don't really understand that. But
- 22:41Speaker 8: your mama is involved in the bootlegs operation. It's been
- 22:44Speaker 8: going on in the hood for years. Sun has nothing
- 22:47Speaker 8: to do with you. Go sit your ass down somewhere.
- 22:50Speaker 8: The reason getting his half rent is because she getting
- 22:53Speaker 8: half of the proceeds coming up out that basement. Now,
- 22:56Speaker 8: unless you're gonna start running moonshine, you'll ants. Ain't got
- 23:00Speaker 8: nothing to do with this. Now, you take your little
- 23:02Speaker 8: young ass to college and get you an education and
- 23:05Speaker 8: stay out of grown folks business. Next question, all right
- 23:10Speaker 8: in Queen mama's a bootlegger. Yes, she might be running
- 23:16Speaker 8: numbers too. Show you might want to look into.
- 23:18Speaker 9: That, Geena, and Queen says, I'm a thirty seven year
- 23:22Speaker 9: old woman and I bray hair for a living. I
- 23:25Speaker 9: have a forty seven year old boyfriend that works as
- 23:27Speaker 9: a restaurant manager. He referred one of his waitresses to
- 23:31Speaker 9: get her hair done, and she paid me in cash
- 23:33Speaker 9: two hundred and ten dollars. When she was leaving, she
- 23:37Speaker 9: said she was going to thank my man for getting
- 23:40Speaker 9: her hair done. I called him and asked him if
- 23:42Speaker 9: he paid for it, and he denied it. I don't
- 23:45Speaker 9: know who to believe, and I want to beat them both.
- 23:48Speaker 9: Why would she lie about it?
- 23:52Speaker 5: Well?
- 23:53Speaker 2: What does she lie about it? I don't think that
- 23:55Speaker 2: she Well, she said she go go in by forgetting
- 23:59Speaker 2: her hair done.
- 24:00Speaker 8: She had been said, I want to thank your man
- 24:04Speaker 8: for sending me over here to get my hair done,
- 24:06Speaker 8: because you did such a wonderful job. Cash.
- 24:10Speaker 2: She paid in cash, and yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 1: And she thinks her man supplied the money for it,
- 24:15Speaker 1: paid for it.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Well, you know, there are some stupid men in this world.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Yeah, he denied it. He said he did. Well, maybe
- 24:24Speaker 1: what you said, see maybe that.
- 24:26Speaker 8: I mean it could be. I just want to thank
- 24:28Speaker 8: him for sending me over here. Man, you did such
- 24:31Speaker 8: a great job. Bu I don't know if cash meant
- 24:34Speaker 8: that he gave it to her. You know, he just
- 24:37Speaker 8: recommended that she go.
- 24:39Speaker 2: What she looked like. You know, that's her last time.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Do you know that that's our last time?
- 24:45Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 24:45Speaker 8: That ain't gonna help me, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's
- 24:47Speaker 8: the last time doing the hell you can believe that,
- 24:49Speaker 8: But you got two hundred and ten dollars cash what
- 24:51Speaker 8: you want now you even have braden bisins.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I ain't.
- 24:55Speaker 8: You know she was throwing sha yeah, oh yeah. Why
- 24:59Speaker 8: are you saying her over there to your woman? If
- 25:02Speaker 8: you're doing something is beyond stupidity to me.
- 25:06Speaker 2: All the place you could have sent him the whole
- 25:11Speaker 2: lot you could braid hair. One.
- 25:13Speaker 6: You didn't pull it out once she said that. You
- 25:15Speaker 6: could have pulled him braids right on back out of that.
- 25:19Speaker 8: No, she paid was walking out the dough. You think
- 25:23Speaker 8: you're gonna take some braids out of woman's hair after
- 25:26Speaker 8: she just had them done, set there for hours.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I got a whole other news for you. That's a
- 25:31Speaker 2: whole other strawberry. Let it in.
- 25:34Speaker 1: She snatched my braid. That's the subject, all right.
- 25:40Speaker 9: Moving on Mika and Fayetteville says, I'm a fifty year
- 25:43Speaker 9: old divorced woman and I'm still having sex with my
- 25:46Speaker 9: ex husband. He is remarried, but his wife doesn't enjoy
- 25:49Speaker 9: sex as much as I do, so we have an arrangement.
- 25:53Speaker 9: He said it's getting too expensive and he wants to
- 25:55Speaker 9: pay me a flat rate monthly instead of each time
- 25:57Speaker 9: he visits. I told him he could get free if
- 26:00Speaker 9: he left his wife and came back to me. He
- 26:02Speaker 9: hasn't called me in a few days. Is he considering it?
- 26:05Speaker 9: Or did I run him off for good?
- 26:08Speaker 2: Now? You ran him off. You ran him off.
- 26:11Speaker 8: He's your ex for a reason. He want you for
- 26:13Speaker 8: what he got you for, not for nothing else. You
- 26:15Speaker 8: too much with the rest of it. You just too much.
- 26:18Speaker 8: It's too much with you. But if I can just
- 26:21Speaker 8: come over here now he won a flat rate, So
- 26:24Speaker 8: now you're not really having sex with your ex husband.
- 26:29Speaker 8: You are the owner and operator of the brothel, and
- 26:35Speaker 8: now you won't And you think he's reinconsidering to move
- 26:39Speaker 8: back into the brothel. But if he moved back into
- 26:42Speaker 8: the brothel, they don't just be brothel duties being performed.
- 26:45Speaker 8: You're talking and worrying him about other stuff. So, lady,
- 26:50Speaker 8: and then you got to remember why you all became
- 26:52Speaker 8: a divorce in exes in the first place. And I'm
- 26:55Speaker 8: pretty sure it would have something to do with that.
- 26:57Speaker 8: Or the wife he got.
- 27:00Speaker 2: How much is she charging him monthly? Thought? What is
- 27:03Speaker 2: this car?
- 27:03Speaker 8: I don't know, but he want a flat rate though,
- 27:08Speaker 8: just a monthly rate. And he won't come over, he
- 27:09Speaker 8: won't put it on Saturday.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I just put you on sturdy. Then when I
- 27:13Speaker 2: come over, if I come over four five times, that's
- 27:16Speaker 2: same as two.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 8: Yeah, he want a salary to employ you. They don't
- 27:22Speaker 8: do that at the brothels. They don't have packages at
- 27:25Speaker 8: the brothel.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I don't think. I'm pretty sure. Hey, as you go,
- 27:29Speaker 2: all the cars?

- 27:44Speaker 9: messing around on him, and I think it's time for
- 27:47Speaker 9: us to break up because he never talks about us
- 27:49Speaker 9: having a future together. When I try to leave him,
- 27:53Speaker 9: he cries and has an attitude for days. I hate
- 27:58Speaker 9: to upset him, but I don't want a cry baby
- 28:00Speaker 9: man that doesn't have a five year plan. Do I
- 28:03Speaker 9: cut him off cold turkey? Or do I talk to
- 28:06Speaker 9: him in person, let him cry, and then leave him.
- 28:11Speaker 8: Hey, ma'am, why did you write us, Danny? Why did

- 56:23Speaker 2: Here it is the straw very letter.
- 56:27Speaker 1: That sexy Tommy, or to him it is. It's not
- 56:34Speaker 1: a little scary, right, yeah, all right subject. He tells
- 56:43Speaker 1: his sister everything.
- 56:44Speaker 9: Dear Stephen Shirley, My husband and I have been together
- 56:47Speaker 9: for six years and married for two. His sister and
- 56:50Speaker 9: I worked together in high school, and after we graduated,
- 56:53Speaker 9: we lived together until I started dating her brother. It
- 56:57Speaker 9: was awkward because she was all up in our business
- 57:00Speaker 9: and even walked in on us having sex. Once I
- 57:03Speaker 9: was ready to move out, and he suggested we get
- 57:05Speaker 9: an apartment together. His sister was at our apartment every
- 57:08Speaker 9: night for the first week, claiming she was afraid to
- 57:11Speaker 9: stay alone. I put an end to that quickly, and
- 57:14Speaker 9: she ended up resenting me.
- 57:16Speaker 1: So now that I'm married to her brother, she comes
- 57:19Speaker 1: at me rude and wrong a lot.
- 57:22Speaker 9: He asked me to take to look over her, and
- 57:26Speaker 9: he says she's jealous because I have a man and
- 57:29Speaker 9: she doesn't. On the other hand, he keeps bringing her
- 57:32Speaker 9: into our relationship by telling her.
- 57:34Speaker 1: All of our business.
- 57:35Speaker 9: She made a stride remark about me being anemex, saying
- 57:39Speaker 9: she hopes I don't pass out during sex because I
- 57:42Speaker 9: won't take iron pills.
- 57:43Speaker 1: I let that slide, but I yelled at my husband later.
- 57:47Speaker 9: She told my mother in law not to expect any
- 57:49Speaker 9: grand baby soon because I still want my husband to
- 57:53Speaker 9: wrap it up during sex.
- 57:54Speaker 1: It's been one thing.
- 57:55Speaker 9: After another, but the final straw was when I overheard
- 57:59Speaker 9: my husband telling her that he wishes I was a
- 58:01Speaker 9: bit more submissive and not a headstrong black business woman.
- 58:06Speaker 1: In pursuit of a career.
- 58:08Speaker 9: He's told me that too, but he knows I'm not
- 58:10Speaker 9: slowing down anytime soon and I'm about to open another
- 58:14Speaker 9: salon suite for nails. It seems like the two of
- 58:17Speaker 9: them team up to hate on me together, and at
- 58:19Speaker 9: this point he gossips to her like a woman. Why
- 58:22Speaker 9: does he feel the need to share so much with
- 58:24Speaker 9: his sister when he knows she's hateful?
- 58:27Speaker 1: Is he a hater too?
- 58:29Speaker 8: You know?
- 58:30Speaker 9: The way I see it is this, you have two
- 58:31Speaker 9: huge problems. You have your husband and yes you have
- 58:34Speaker 9: your hating sister. Sister in law his hating sister, and
- 58:38Speaker 9: there is a reasonable amount of jealousy on her part.
- 58:42Speaker 9: But one thing for sure, you don't have to guess
- 58:44Speaker 9: about what your.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Husband told his sister.
- 58:46Speaker 9: He told her that he wishes you were more submissive
- 58:50Speaker 9: and you were not a head strong black businesswoman in
- 58:52Speaker 9: pursuit of a career.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Now whatever that means.
- 58:56Speaker 9: You heard him say it with your own ears, and
- 58:59Speaker 9: you said, he told you the same thing.
- 59:01Speaker 1: But you're not slowing down.
- 59:03Speaker 9: Why would he tell his sister in law that? It's
- 59:06Speaker 9: a question, you know, why does he tell her anything? Clearly,
- 59:10Speaker 9: you know there's a problem here. It's both communication and resentment.
- 59:15Speaker 9: And why aren't you, guys, meaning you and your husband
- 59:18Speaker 9: talking about this. He resents the fact that sounds like
- 59:21Speaker 9: that you work too much, you're a boss, and you
- 59:24Speaker 9: know you resent him for telling his sister everything. His
- 59:28Speaker 9: sister does not respect your marriage boundaries. But then again,
- 59:32Speaker 9: your husband just invites her in, so she feels like
- 59:35Speaker 9: she has free reign and can say whatever she wants.
- 59:38Speaker 9: He's wrong for that. But I still think the problem
- 59:40Speaker 9: between you two is communication. You're both frustrated with each other,
- 59:44Speaker 9: him because you work and you're headstrong, he says, And
- 59:48Speaker 9: you know, you guys are going to have to try
- 59:50Speaker 9: and work this out. You're frustrated and resent him because
- 59:53Speaker 9: he tells his sister everything. I just think if you
- 59:56Speaker 9: guys could really hear each other, you could probably reach
- 59:59Speaker 9: some or to compromise. Your problems aren't that bad, though,
- 1:00:03Speaker 9: I'm gonna tell you that honestly, your problems aren't that bad.
- 1:00:06Speaker 9: I mean, at least you guys aren't cheating on each
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: other and stuff like that. But if you guys could
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: just sit down and have a conversation, I think a
- 1:00:14Speaker 9: lot of this stuff could be cleared up and keep
- 1:00:17Speaker 9: his sister tell him please to keep his sister out
- 1:00:19Speaker 9: of the marriage.
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: Steve Well, he tells his sister everything. I know exactly
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: why he does this. I'll save it for the end
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: in case there's a woman out there that's struggling with
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: this with her man, which it is.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: A lot of this happened. My husband and I've been
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: together six years, married for two.
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: His sister and I work together in high school, and
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: after we graduated, we lived together.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: So now this is a twenty year old company, a
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: twenty four year old company.
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: Yeah, if you graduated at eighteen and he been together
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: six years, were looking at about twenty four, twenty four,
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: twenty five. His sister and I worked together in high school,
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: and after we graduated, we lived together until I started
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: dating her brother, so it was after they graduated they
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: lived together.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Let's say another year.
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: Didn't start dating a brother, and it got a little
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: awkward because she was all up in their business and
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: even walked in on us having sex. One all right,
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: I was ready to move out, and he suggested that
- 1:01:29Speaker 8: we get an apartment together. So now this was his idea,
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: his idea. This is a critical piece of this letter.
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: This was his idea to move out, get apartment together.
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: But his sister came over the y'all's apartment every night
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: for the first week, claiming that she was afraid to
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: stay alone because you and the sister. You and the
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: sister were roommates for a while. I put it in
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: to that quickly, and she sended it up, ended up
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: resenting me. You moved out because she was all up
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: in your bus. She didn't want you to move out.
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: But it was her husband's idea. After you said you
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: wanted to move out, it was your husband's idea, her
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: brother's idea to say, hey, let's get an apartment together.
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: Now the resentment started, and now you're married to a brother.
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: She comes that you rude and wrong a lot. And
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: the reason she comes at you root and wrong a
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: lot is because she's lonely, bitter and needs a relationship
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: of her own.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: I don't mind. It's the devil's playground.
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: If you ain't got no relationship with your own, you
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: got time to get another people's business.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: That's all.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: It'd be back.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. All right.
- 1:02:38Speaker 9: We'll have part two of Steven's response coming up at
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's subject he tells
- 1:02:44Speaker 9: his sister everything. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Hey, this is your boy nephew.
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: Tell me. Entering a new year is the perfect time

- 1:03:21Speaker 9: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:25Speaker 9: The subject is he tells his sister everything.
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: Well, he does all the time. You and the girl
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: with friends in high school. Y'all work together, y'all such
- 1:03:36Speaker 8: good friends. Y'all got an apartment together until you started
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: dating her brother. Y'all been together six years now, And
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: cause you started dating her brother got a little awkw
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: which she stayed in your business and walked in on
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: y'all have a sex one time.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Well, you said, enough of this, I'm moving out. I
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: can't take this no more.
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: The brother, which is your husband now decides, hey, let's
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: get out some apartment together. You said, okay, But every
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: day the first week, she was over there every night
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: because she said she couldn't sleep alone. Now remember now,
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: this was the your husband, her brother's idea to get
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: the apartment, and the reason she's in y'all's business. That
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: she comes that you rude now because she resents you,
- 1:04:16Speaker 8: because you put a stop to her coming over. She
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: comes that you rude it wrong a lot because she's lonely, bitten,
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: in need a relationship of her own. He asked me
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: to look over her and says she's jealous because you
- 1:04:32Speaker 8: got a man, and she don't. All right, I just
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: said that, but and that don't help your situation out, though,
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: on the other hand, he keeps bringing her to our
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: relationship by telling her all y'all beiss. She made a
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: snide remark about me being a knemix, saying she hope
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: I don't pass out doing sick because I won't take
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: iron pill. I don't take iron pills myself.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Have you ever passed out?
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: Damn Neil, but not.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Iron?
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: I don't know of going to sleep immediately and passing
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: out is the same thing.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: But I've had that experience before. Uh, I let that slide.
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: But then you yell at your husband later she told
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: your mother in law not to expect any grand baby
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: soon because I still want my husband to wrap it
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: up during sex. Now, your husband just running his mouth anemic.
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: You need iron pills. You know you're making him wear
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: a condom. He just running his damn mount. I'm gonna
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: tell you why that is in a minute of a second.
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: It's been one thing after another. But to final straw,
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: when you overheard your husband telling his sister that he
- 1:05:44Speaker 8: wishes I was a bit more submissive and not a
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: headstrong black businesswoman in pursuit of her.
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Career, that's interesting. What is she supposed to be well.
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: He told me that too, but he know I'm not
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: slowing down anytime soon. I'm about to open up another
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: sweet for nails.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Now, she says.
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: It seems like the two of them team up to
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: hate me together. And at this point he gossips to
- 1:06:07Speaker 8: her like a woman. Why does he feel the need
- 1:06:09Speaker 8: to share so much with his sister when he knows
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: she's hateful?
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: Is he a hater too?
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: Well, let me answer all those questions, but number one,
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: obviously this goes back to their past. They were very
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: close growing up. Now here's what your husband is. Your
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: man is a sister boy. That's the same thing as
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: a mama's boy, except he tucked up under his sister.
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: Sometimes you can be closer to your sister than your
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: mother if you all grow up close in a relationship,
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: even as a child. And now a lot of sister
- 1:06:48Speaker 8: boys out there, which is almost as bad as a
- 1:06:52Speaker 8: mama's boy, Except sister boy is an unknown term, so
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: you don't know what to call.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Ro just gave it to you. You're married to a
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: sister boy. He was so close to his sister growing
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: up that closest.
- 1:07:06Speaker 8: Has remained, and their friends and friends tell each other
- 1:07:10Speaker 8: everything That's why I was never friends with my sister,
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: because what I was doing in no way I can
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: repeat to my sister. You, on the other hand, have
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: the direct opposite. So now let me introduce you to
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: a new term. Your man is a sister boy. He's
- 1:07:31Speaker 8: closer to his sister than his mother, and sometimes he
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: latches on to not the apron strings, but the friendship.
- 1:07:40Speaker 8: All right, and now let me share something else with you.
- 1:07:43Speaker 8: You ask, why does he feel the need to share
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: so much with his sister when he knows she's hateful.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: The answer to that question is, your man, listen.
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: To this one carefully, has at least one unmanly characteristic,
- 1:07:59Speaker 8: because running your no private business about your woman to
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: other people is not respected or known as a manly characteristic.
- 1:08:10Speaker 8: So your man has one unmanly characteristic. And it's a
- 1:08:16Speaker 8: dangerous characteristic to have, because now he run in his
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: mouth he gossiped. See, you can't gossip about your woman
- 1:08:25Speaker 8: to your boys, because we know not to do that.
- 1:08:28Speaker 8: I ain't sitting up with my boys some one man,
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: my girl be talking about this, and she wear this,
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: and she say this, and then I don't do that,
- 1:08:34Speaker 8: and I sure can't do that.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: To no other woman. So now you got a dangerous situation.
- 1:08:39Speaker 8: Lastly, but not lately, Not last but not least, you
- 1:08:44Speaker 8: ask him when he knows she's hateless. He a hater too.
- 1:08:47Speaker 8: They are both haters. And you saw the signs of
- 1:08:51Speaker 8: this before you married him, but you married him anyway.
- 1:08:55Speaker 8: You knew they was too close before you got married.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: You saw the signs.
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: You knew who he was before you married. He been
- 1:09:03Speaker 8: scared of his sister and his mama the whole time.
- 1:09:05Speaker 8: So now you got a sister's boy. Congratulations, good luck.
- 1:09:09Speaker 8: But you can put a stop to this by saying,
- 1:09:10Speaker 8: if you tell one more damn thing, I'm gonna slap
- 1:09:12Speaker 8: all the flavor out your mouth.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Sister boy, all right, Like sister boy, all right.
