- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things and it's not true. Good together, Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. You gotta use that turn. You
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. You got to turn out.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Then turn the water the water go. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your baby, huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're
- 2:04Speaker 1: listening to the voice, Come on dig me now, one
- 2:07Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, I
- 2:13Speaker 1: gotta tell you something, everybody, and this is great news
- 2:16Speaker 1: for everybody that I'm on. Share something with your principle
- 2:23Speaker 1: of becoming successful at whatever level you choose. It can
- 2:28Speaker 1: be successful in the relationship, successful in the family. Successes
- 2:34Speaker 1: may be considered to you becoming a homeowner, It could
- 2:38Speaker 1: be being debt free. Your ideal of success could be
- 2:42Speaker 1: sixty thousand a year, fifty thousand a year, one hundred
- 2:46Speaker 1: thousand dollars a year, doesn't matter if you're considering it,
- 2:52Speaker 1: if you're wanting it, if you have a desire to
- 2:54Speaker 1: become successful. I want to share with you the very
- 2:58Speaker 1: beginning of that. If no one's ever done it, I'm
- 3:02Speaker 1: going to say the beginning of it today see scripture
- 3:08Speaker 1: makes it very clear for us you don't The only
- 3:13Speaker 1: thing you need to become successful is already inside of you.
- 3:17Speaker 1: It's not an external need. God wouldn't do that to you.
- 3:23Speaker 1: He puts the core basis of everything you need inside
- 3:27Speaker 1: of you. So if you discover it, if you tend
- 3:32Speaker 1: to it, nurture it, fertilize it, and water it, it grows,
- 3:38Speaker 1: it branches out. Then it reaches out externally and it
- 3:42Speaker 1: starts grabbing things outside of there to make it even bigger, stronger, better,
- 3:46Speaker 1: last longer. But in the very beginning, you don't need anything.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's all within you. And if you cultivate your relationship
- 3:56Speaker 1: with God, it comes out, it flourishes. Now, let me
- 4:01Speaker 1: tell you that thing that I'm talking about is a
- 4:04Speaker 1: God given gift that He has given to all of us.
- 4:07Speaker 1: We all possess it. It is all within us that
- 4:11Speaker 1: everybody has a guilt. Had somebody told me what I
- 4:16Speaker 1: know now back then, I would have saved myself tons
- 4:19Speaker 1: of mistakes. I just didn't know the principles. I had
- 4:21Speaker 1: to learn them all well. One of the principles of
- 4:24Speaker 1: becoming successful is your mind set. You got to get
- 4:29Speaker 1: your mind right now. This mindset is simply a decision
- 4:35Speaker 1: that you can make. I can't get it for you.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I can tell you what to do, but you got
- 4:41Speaker 1: to make the decision. You that's listening, have to decide.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You know what. I'm gonna go on and get at it.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna stop renting. I'm gonna become a homeowner. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna stop living check
- 4:51Speaker 1: to check. I'm I'm gonna put a budget together. I'm
- 4:55Speaker 1: gonna stop stepping out on my family. I'm gonna go home.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it together. I'm gonna stop using when
- 5:05Speaker 1: you make these decisions. That's correcting your mindset. Now, the
- 5:09Speaker 1: closer connection you have with God, the more help you
- 5:12Speaker 1: get sustaining the mindset. How many times have you started
- 5:16Speaker 1: to do something and you stopped? How many resolutions have
- 5:19Speaker 1: you made at the New Year and stop by February?
- 5:23Speaker 1: Over by me at January? Done in March? Because if
- 5:29Speaker 1: you don't have a clear connection with your creator to
- 5:32Speaker 1: help you carry out the other force out there, that
- 5:35Speaker 1: evil force is designed to get you not to reach
- 5:38Speaker 1: your goals, get you not to come to resolution with
- 5:42Speaker 1: whatever the resolutions are you made so he can So
- 5:45Speaker 1: you can consider yourself not worthy or failure or unable
- 5:49Speaker 1: to do something. But the more things you are able
- 5:52Speaker 1: to accomplish, the greater your confidence goals grows. So we
- 5:56Speaker 1: got to get your mindset together. Your mindset is a
- 5:59Speaker 1: decision that you have to me. When you make the decision,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you can begin the process. Your mindset is also a
- 6:06Speaker 1: will of yours, a will along with the decision, a will,
- 6:12Speaker 1: a willingness to do right, a willingness to change, a
- 6:17Speaker 1: willingness to be better. It's going to then cause you
- 6:22Speaker 1: to have to make a decision to make a change
- 6:24Speaker 1: of direction. Don't go where everybody else going. You got
- 6:28Speaker 1: to go your way. Now, you can't follow the crowd.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You got to take a less travel path. You cannot
- 6:36Speaker 1: do this without changing your direction. You can't keep hanging
- 6:39Speaker 1: with the people you've been hanging with if you want
- 6:41Speaker 1: to be different because they're not. Then you have to
- 6:45Speaker 1: develop an obligation to yourself. You've got to say, you
- 6:50Speaker 1: know what for me and my family, or if you
- 6:53Speaker 1: don't have a family, for me, I owe it to myself.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I have an obligation to myself to be the best
- 6:59Speaker 1: meat that I can possibly be, to be the best
- 7:03Speaker 1: self that I can possibly be, to be the best father,
- 7:07Speaker 1: the best man, the best husband, the best wife, the
- 7:11Speaker 1: best mother, the best daughter, the best son, the best student,
- 7:15Speaker 1: the best employ ye, the best owner. You have an
- 7:19Speaker 1: obligation to yourself to give yourself a shot at the
- 7:23Speaker 1: best life you can. That's an obligation. You owe that
- 7:28Speaker 1: to yourself. Why would you not live the best life
- 7:30Speaker 1: that you possibly could. You have an obligation to yourself.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Why would you teat yourself like that? Why would you
- 7:37Speaker 1: take yourself and never allow yourself to see the goodness
- 7:42Speaker 1: that's already in you, to have the abundance that's been
- 7:45Speaker 1: promised to you, to go and explore all the riches
- 7:51Speaker 1: out there that's available to you. And but one of
- 7:56Speaker 1: the worst ways that you can rob yourself of the
- 8:00Speaker 1: joy of your obligation is to keep comparing yourself to
- 8:03Speaker 1: somebody else. Because guess what, Man, that ain't your life.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You ain't jay Z and Beyonce, you're not You're not open. Instead, man,
- 8:13Speaker 1: that's not who you are. Quit looking around at everybody else.
- 8:18Speaker 1: That comparison of everybody else to keep you broken, it'll
- 8:21Speaker 1: keep you unhappy. You won't even be able to be
- 8:24Speaker 1: grateful for what you have because you steady talking about
- 8:26Speaker 1: what you don't have. That's not the way, man. You
- 8:29Speaker 1: have an obligation to yourself to be the best you
- 8:32Speaker 1: you can be, not the best them. You're not them.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Stop trying to be them. Be the best you. It's cool.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You got a nice little house. That's cool. You know
- 8:42Speaker 1: how many big houses is empty and feel with hate
- 8:46Speaker 1: and resentment. I'd rather have a smaller house feel with
- 8:50Speaker 1: joy in it than to go to a big house.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Man Prince got a line in a song that says,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I realized, in its best disguise, or pretty house don't
- 9:01Speaker 1: make a home. Man. Don't you know I know how
- 9:05Speaker 1: true that is? So I'm just trying to tell you now.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Another part of the mindset is taking dead aim at
- 9:15Speaker 1: your life's goals and ambitions. What are they? What are
- 9:20Speaker 1: your goals and your visions? What do you see for yourself?
- 9:23Speaker 1: What do you dream about? If you knew you couldn't
- 9:27Speaker 1: fail at whatever it is you were attempting, what would
- 9:29Speaker 1: you go attempting? See? That's what we need to be after.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It's a mindset, y'all. It's a decision it's a will,
- 9:37Speaker 1: it's a change of direction. It's an obligation to yourself.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It's taking dead aim at your life's visions and goals.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Come on, man, you got to get your mind wrapped
- 9:47Speaker 1: around this thing. You owe it to yourself to live
- 9:50Speaker 1: the best life you can be. Come on, man, talk
- 9:53Speaker 1: to God. God got something for you. You just gotta
- 9:55Speaker 1: check in with him. You're listening tow ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Beyond this place of raft in tears looms, but the
- 10:08Speaker 1: horror of the shade, and yet the minutes of the
- 10:11Speaker 1: years finds and shall find me unafraid. I don't know
- 10:16Speaker 1: why I chose to do that stands up from invictus,
- 10:19Speaker 1: but I did. It's not mine, it's from Invictus. So
- 10:23Speaker 1: I just want to say that's it, and I'm done, ladies,
- 10:28Speaker 1: legitimate chet Strawberry, Hey, good morning, so soon we just
- 10:32Speaker 1: got here. You're done? Yeah? How's everybody doing today? Top
- 10:41Speaker 1: top Welcome back, Carla, Thank you, good morning? What's up? Crew?
- 10:48Speaker 1: Welcome back? Than welcome? I will, oh Carla a lot.
- 10:57Speaker 1: What I'm miss Here's a question for you. Just take
- 11:03Speaker 1: a wild guess who was the most ignorant while you
- 11:07Speaker 1: were gone? The man name on the shop. Surprisingly, no
- 11:16Speaker 1: what but he ran a close second? So who was
- 11:21Speaker 1: about the nephew? He got irritated with it. He got
- 11:26Speaker 1: irritated with it. Now you were so ignorant you got
- 11:29Speaker 1: on your uncle's next. Oh he can't stand my stupid.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I accept his stupid, but he don't like man. I
- 11:36Speaker 1: had to remind him. So just ignorant, ignorant. You know
- 11:45Speaker 1: what did it though? Tell me when you said we
- 11:47Speaker 1: were talking about I forgot how we got on kissing
- 11:50Speaker 1: and you said people don't kiss anymore? You know, Carla?
- 11:54Speaker 1: That was it that set Steve off? When what does
- 11:58Speaker 1: he get that from? What became his own ignorant mind?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Because nobody run up on kiss nobody on Steve. Steve,
- 12:11Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. Which is more irritating
- 12:14Speaker 1: stupidity or ignorance? Which one gets? Stupidity? You know that
- 12:21Speaker 1: stupidity ignorance? I know what that is. So what's the
- 12:25Speaker 1: difference on this show? Ignorance is knowing you doing something,
- 12:32Speaker 1: but you do it anyway intentional, and that's not from ignorance.
- 12:39Speaker 1: That's just you being ignorant. When you stupid, it's when
- 12:44Speaker 1: you're doing stuff and you don't see nothing wrong with it.
- 12:49Speaker 1: We got both of that. We got both of that. Well,
- 12:55Speaker 1: she didn't ask me did we have both of that?
- 12:58Speaker 1: She asked me the difference. I just described the difference
- 13:02Speaker 1: between me and you who stupid? Who? You want to
- 13:07Speaker 1: take a guess on which one you are? Well? Why
- 13:11Speaker 1: can't stupid respect ignorant? Though I don't like ignorant respect stupid,
- 13:15Speaker 1: I don't. No, you should respect ignorance because it's what
- 13:19Speaker 1: you should aspire to. So stupid should not. Gonna go
- 13:22Speaker 1: with stupid, I'll go with stupid is too too, too
- 13:26Speaker 1: low on the total pot. Can't be you can't be
- 13:29Speaker 1: stupidly ignorant, I mean nor see right there, perfect example
- 13:34Speaker 1: of how stupid we got. Coming up next, it is
- 13:39Speaker 1: as the CLO at thirty two minutes after. We'll be
- 13:42Speaker 1: right back. You're listening to show. Okay, it is time
- 13:49Speaker 1: for CLO. We're gonna ask the CLO Chief Love Officer
- 13:52Speaker 1: Steve Harvey in the building Taylor in Virginia Beach Rites.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I'm in my late twenties and I got married when
- 14:00Speaker 1: I was nineteen years old because I got pregnant. My
- 14:03Speaker 1: husband's white. I'm black and Asian. When my son was born,
- 14:07Speaker 1: he was very brown skinned, so my in laws wanted
- 14:10Speaker 1: a DNA test. Turns out my husband is not the father,
- 14:14Speaker 1: but he's never said a word about it to me
- 14:16Speaker 1: or our son. My son is eight now and his
- 14:20Speaker 1: biological father has been asking to meet him for a
- 14:23Speaker 1: very long time. My husband freaks out whenever I bring
- 14:26Speaker 1: the subject up. Is it wrong to keep my son
- 14:30Speaker 1: from his father? Absolutely? Absolutely? Is? It? Absolutely is? One
- 14:40Speaker 1: absolutely is the fact that you've told you. Look, I
- 14:47Speaker 1: don't know if you told your son that he has
- 14:50Speaker 1: a different biological father, but is it wrong to keep
- 14:54Speaker 1: your son from this man? It absolutely one is, And
- 14:59Speaker 1: there's no no debate or question about it. It is
- 15:03Speaker 1: wrong and there is no justification to it. None. Well,
- 15:11Speaker 1: I admire your husband for standing up and taking it
- 15:15Speaker 1: and standing up and being that stand up guy, because
- 15:18Speaker 1: he is one hell of a dude. Yeah, your husband is.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And I understand him not wanting to ruffle a boat
- 15:25Speaker 1: and all this here. I understand that. But this boy
- 15:28Speaker 1: should know his father, and his father should know his
- 15:31Speaker 1: son period. All Right, Taylor, It's gonna be difficult and challenging,
- 15:36Speaker 1: but those that's the rule of life. Yeah, yeah, all right.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Moving on to Chevelle and Montgomery, Chevelle says, my husband
- 15:45Speaker 1: and my mother are thick as thieves, and I think
- 15:47Speaker 1: she's allowing my husband to cheat on me. My mother's
- 15:50Speaker 1: house is the gambling spot in our community, and all
- 15:53Speaker 1: of the drunks hang out there. I saw on Facebook
- 15:56Speaker 1: that one of my husband's excess was at my mom's
- 15:58Speaker 1: recently and posted a pic you're with my husband in
- 16:01Speaker 1: the background. I cursed my husband out, and he said
- 16:04Speaker 1: it was innocent. My mother told me I overreacted, did I? Well,
- 16:10Speaker 1: if it's your mama's gamblet's about your mama. Your mama
- 16:13Speaker 1: making money, she ain't fit running. I'm just gonna keep
- 16:17Speaker 1: it one hundred with you. Yeah, it's bit bigger than
- 16:23Speaker 1: that picture. Then that gambling and buying a looker. You
- 16:27Speaker 1: know how it is in the hood of speakies is
- 16:29Speaker 1: after I joined, everything closed, they go over there kind
- 16:33Speaker 1: of like a like a no budget basement tavern and
- 16:36Speaker 1: it's a gambling house. Ain't no where you can go
- 16:38Speaker 1: gamble casinos. So no, I think it's absolutely I don't.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I don't you know your mama you I don't think
- 16:47Speaker 1: your mama is allowing him to cheat I don't even
- 16:50Speaker 1: know if cheating is involved in this at all. But
- 16:52Speaker 1: your mama got a gambling house. What is his ex
- 16:56Speaker 1: is doing over there though? Both Well you know, I
- 16:59Speaker 1: mean she over gambling, buying drinks. Yeah, mama trying to
- 17:05Speaker 1: make money? Weird about this? Facebook? Yeah, my husband's over
- 17:17Speaker 1: there with his ex. All right, Sophia and Alburquerque says.
- 17:23Speaker 1: My husband is twenty nine. I'm twenty seven. He works
- 17:26Speaker 1: as a retail manager and I work from home with
- 17:28Speaker 1: my own sex video chat room. I make a lot
- 17:31Speaker 1: of money and my husband doesn't mind it since it's
- 17:34Speaker 1: all online. I've been able to help buy us a
- 17:37Speaker 1: new house on my earnings, and I wanted to work
- 17:39Speaker 1: more hours so I could pay off my student loans
- 17:42Speaker 1: and build up our savings account. Then I plan to
- 17:45Speaker 1: get a decent job. My husband won't allow me to
- 17:48Speaker 1: take on more hours. We're still young. So am I
- 17:51Speaker 1: wrong for trying to stack money? Good question? Well, you're
- 17:56Speaker 1: not wrong for trying to stack money. You just have
- 17:59Speaker 1: to ask your question. It's stacking money? Is at what expense?
- 18:04Speaker 1: I don't see how he's okay with it up to
- 18:06Speaker 1: this point. Yeah, but and now you want to do
- 18:10Speaker 1: more hours. He don't want you to do more hours.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I think you've accomplished a lot with it right now,
- 18:16Speaker 1: you know, kind of like a drug dealer that finally
- 18:20Speaker 1: gets a rap record deal. Yeah, yeah, you know, you
- 18:24Speaker 1: just got to quit selling dope at one point in
- 18:27Speaker 1: time or you're gonna get busted. Now. I'm not saying
- 18:29Speaker 1: that what you're doing is illegal. I don't know nothing
- 18:31Speaker 1: about it. I ain't never been on one. But what
- 18:34Speaker 1: is you saying? Where you can buy a house? Though
- 18:37Speaker 1: she made enough money that she could buy a house. No, no, no, Sherley,
- 18:40Speaker 1: that's not the question. He's saying. What is he What
- 18:43Speaker 1: is she doing on this show? What is you talking about?
- 18:47Speaker 1: What as you say? I'm trying to figure out what
- 18:51Speaker 1: you could say to me, to me help make you
- 18:53Speaker 1: buy a house online? A lot of money? Lord? Who
- 18:59Speaker 1: are you talking of her student loans? Yeah, she's saying
- 19:04Speaker 1: a lot. What she's saying she's looking, Yeah, she's saying
- 19:09Speaker 1: a lot. It's a video video sex video chat room.
- 19:15Speaker 1: A lot going on. All right, we're moving on Money
- 19:21Speaker 1: in Tampa says or a Money in Tampa says. I'm
- 19:24Speaker 1: forty eight and I've been married eleven years. But my
- 19:27Speaker 1: wife and I live in separate houses. She never sold
- 19:31Speaker 1: her house, and in the beginning of our marriage we
- 19:33Speaker 1: argued more than we made love, so she basically decided
- 19:36Speaker 1: we'd live in separate houses. It has worked out fine,
- 19:39Speaker 1: but our family and friends think we're nuts. Lately, though,
- 19:42Speaker 1: my wife has been going to bed really early, in
- 19:45Speaker 1: changing the lots in her house. I think the distance
- 19:48Speaker 1: has made her forget about me. Should I tell her
- 19:51Speaker 1: it's time to end this arrangement? Yeah? I think so.
- 19:57Speaker 1: She didn't change a lot. She's going to bed young
- 19:59Speaker 1: mar No, damn one. Y'all just know each other on paper,
- 20:08Speaker 1: going to be ad early, changing locks. Don't even come
- 20:10Speaker 1: over him, Ques, not because now she don't want you
- 20:13Speaker 1: creeping in that night. Yeah, m so what should he do?
- 20:21Speaker 1: What should he do? Gonna file papers, she gonna sign them.
- 20:26Speaker 1: What y'all together for. Y'all ain't got to worry about
- 20:29Speaker 1: who get the house. Y'all both keep your own house.
- 20:32Speaker 1: That's the biggest cut. Is that house looking if somebody
- 20:37Speaker 1: lost foe? Yeah, just go, don't even worry about that.
- 20:42Speaker 1: She gonna keep her house, You keep your house. Irreconcilable differences,
- 20:47Speaker 1: y'all get divorced with seven fifty y'all ain't got no asset? Yes,
- 20:51Speaker 1: all right, thank you Cello. Coming up next, church complaints
- 20:54Speaker 1: with Rebend Motown Teacon depth Jam. Right after this You're
- 20:58Speaker 1: listening morning show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:02Speaker 1: Miss Anna standing by with our national news for today
- 21:05Speaker 1: and an entertainment news. Kanye has moved into the Mercedes
- 21:10Speaker 1: ben Stadium in Atlanta. Plus with him that ain't tell
- 21:16Speaker 1: house you don't take your ass home got bigger in Wyoming.
- 21:25Speaker 1: First of all, I know he was hot as hell
- 21:27Speaker 1: and in him leather pans. I know that fact. Can
- 21:34Speaker 1: he breathe? All right? Plus in entertainment news, we'll talk
- 21:38Speaker 1: about first forty eight, the viral video that has resurfaced.
- 21:42Speaker 1: We'll talk about all of these stories at the top
- 21:44Speaker 1: of the hour. But right now it is Monday. You
- 21:46Speaker 1: know what time it is. Time for church complaints with
- 21:49Speaker 1: Rebend Motown and Deacon def Jam. I'm on pass we
- 21:54Speaker 1: we we we Yeah, boy awkward suspiciously to make more
- 22:03Speaker 1: deficius of the ever vessels or floridic here as we punctuate,
- 22:12Speaker 1: m anticipated and opulate. But going fourth in this union safe.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Sometimes I just got sometimes I want to be a
- 22:30Speaker 1: member myself. I know that somebody couldn't. Mel Lord, go ahead,
- 22:42Speaker 1: all right, passing, let's get down the business. Sister Martha
- 22:46Speaker 1: Davis is claiming to be sanitizing the congregation. Now you know,
- 22:52Speaker 1: we're back into church now. She puts sanitizing on her
- 22:55Speaker 1: hands and then slaps members across their forehead with it.
- 22:58Speaker 1: They're gonna have to talk to as she's slapping everybody
- 23:02Speaker 1: in the congregation with sanitize? What is putting it on
- 23:06Speaker 1: the forehead? Post due Deacon. I don't know what that is,
- 23:09Speaker 1: but I guess he thinks that's sanitize. I don't know
- 23:12Speaker 1: what I'm passing. Well, it's not, oh press of declaration
- 23:17Speaker 1: right now? Let this or cease and desist? All right,
- 23:23Speaker 1: that's what I'm talking You know that a real legal term. This? Okay?
- 23:31Speaker 1: All right? Past Our brother Victor Phillips went to Denver,
- 23:36Speaker 1: Colorado this past weekend. Now everdently he purchased marijuana there
- 23:42Speaker 1: and uh, but he knows it's not legal here. Now
- 23:45Speaker 1: he's at baggage claim right now, watching his bag go
- 23:48Speaker 1: around and around. Or Kara said, he's scared to grab
- 23:51Speaker 1: his bag. He's asking if you can come and pick
- 23:54Speaker 1: his bag up on the terminal age, Pa watching it,
- 24:03Speaker 1: watching that bag. He's not grabbing the bag because the
- 24:07Speaker 1: dog has balled for the time. I suggests, who is
- 24:16Speaker 1: this not Deacon, that's brother Victor. Phillips suggests, brother Victim,
- 24:23Speaker 1: just come on, let that go. How much we did
- 24:26Speaker 1: he buy? I don't know. You know it's legal in Colorado.
- 24:31Speaker 1: How much weed did he buy? I would say about
- 24:34Speaker 1: five hundred dollars war power, five hundred dollars worth. It
- 24:37Speaker 1: ain't worth it. You got to let that go. Where
- 24:40Speaker 1: is he coming back to? What city is he in? Ah?
- 24:44Speaker 1: He is in the Carolinas. I believe Pas. Oh, you've
- 24:48Speaker 1: been pick up four five hundred dollars easy? What Jada
- 24:53Speaker 1: hundred in Colombia? Jake got leave three thousand at his
- 25:00Speaker 1: house in Vicarious phones all right past it. We got
- 25:11Speaker 1: a situation due to COVID. The choir is gonna need
- 25:15Speaker 1: a bigger roads. Every one of them has grown twice
- 25:18Speaker 1: the size that they were, and we're gonna need a
- 25:20Speaker 1: lot of materials. So we need new robes because they've
- 25:23Speaker 1: gotten bigger doing COVID. We're not gonna do that because
- 25:31Speaker 1: the reason why we're not buying new roads. It's because
- 25:34Speaker 1: it looks like there's a second run of COVID going
- 25:38Speaker 1: on and I don't want to spend no money on
- 25:41Speaker 1: these roles. And then we got the old num rods
- 25:43Speaker 1: up so is yeah, let you wait and see how
- 25:50Speaker 1: much COVID stick around. We may not have to buy
- 25:54Speaker 1: many roads at all. They keep getting it. There were
- 25:58Speaker 1: so tight, ain't the choir roads is now looking like
- 26:05Speaker 1: chef jackets. All right, fast and listen where there's a
- 26:13Speaker 1: call for help out there. There's a restaurant called Nothing
- 26:16Speaker 1: but Wings and they have filed for bankrupts that they
- 26:20Speaker 1: are asking for the church to support, basically our support
- 26:24Speaker 1: to get them out of the red but Nothing but
- 26:25Speaker 1: the Wings have file for bankrupts. Well, nothing but Wings
- 26:29Speaker 1: ain't gonna work because there's wings stopped, both of the wings.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Jeff Wings, wings only wings and things wings and Bill.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Now they down there with Jeff Wayns here, you're gonna
- 26:47Speaker 1: be stay with the conference. They ain't got Bill nothing
- 26:49Speaker 1: down there, No side, no sides, just one Jeffy you
- 26:56Speaker 1: fried fried pickles coast. You can't ain't get schlaw baked bean,
- 27:01Speaker 1: Jeff Wayne, nothing but Wayans. They got to look at
- 27:05Speaker 1: the competition. The competition has other things on the MIDI
- 27:11Speaker 1: you can't get iced tea at Jeff Wayne, No nothing,
- 27:15Speaker 1: you can't get water. But and the hot sauce comes
- 27:23Speaker 1: into the individual package that you got to tear with
- 27:26Speaker 1: your teeth. Have a hot sauft bus haul up in
- 27:30Speaker 1: your mouth. I have nothing to drink to watch that.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Let me let me move on past it. Listen, brother
- 27:41Speaker 1: Charles Burns. You know he has five kids, and then
- 27:43Speaker 1: he also has six nieces and nephew. Uh, they called
- 27:47Speaker 1: him uncle daddy and uh, he just received five hundred
- 27:51Speaker 1: dollars per child for the child tax credit and that
- 27:55Speaker 1: gave him fifty five hundred. He's asking for the church
- 27:57Speaker 1: to match that fifty five hundred, Uncle daddy. What is
- 28:02Speaker 1: we matching it for? I don't know. I don't know why.
- 28:05Speaker 1: I don't I don't understand that pass. We don't do
- 28:08Speaker 1: matching forwards. You you had to feel out your or
- 28:16Speaker 1: COVID exempt paperwork to get matching fuards. Black folks don't
- 28:21Speaker 1: do matching forwards of any kind. Most can happen you
- 28:28Speaker 1: with black folks. You get the same ass. Yeah, now
- 28:33Speaker 1: you can't get that. Now we were doubling that we
- 28:35Speaker 1: were double of asswhip. Now I know that if you
- 28:40Speaker 1: want this last one the members won't you to make
- 28:43Speaker 1: a new rule. Since we're back in church physically, Please
- 28:45Speaker 1: stop the madness with this. Uh these baby hal weaves.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Sister Lauren Simmons, you know she didn't really have no
- 28:51Speaker 1: hound her head. She has a whole head full of
- 28:53Speaker 1: baby hair. Now you have to he's scanning all the kids.
- 28:57Speaker 1: He has a whole head full of baby hat. I'm
- 29:00Speaker 1: not really bogged by that at all myself. Yeah, I
- 29:04Speaker 1: think this wonderful sixty five year old woman has the
- 29:08Speaker 1: hair over eighty. Yeah, come on past the preach pass.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Quite fascinating to me, all right, coming up next at
- 29:18Speaker 1: the top of the hour, entertainment in National News. Right
- 29:21Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:28Speaker 1: All right. So, last week, Kanye West held a listening
- 29:31Speaker 1: party for his new album Donda at the Mercedes Benz
- 29:35Speaker 1: Stadium that is the home of the Atlanta Falcons, and
- 29:38Speaker 1: apparently Kanye, who is of course from Chicago, has enjoyed
- 29:42Speaker 1: himself so much there that he's not quite ready to leave.
- 29:46Speaker 1: According to a report by TMZ, Kanye is currently living
- 29:51Speaker 1: in the stadium and plans to do so until he
- 29:53Speaker 1: finishes his album. The release date for the album Donda
- 29:57Speaker 1: has been pushed back to August six, but worry, the
- 30:00Speaker 1: Falcon season opening matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles isn't until
- 30:04Speaker 1: September twelfth, So there's he's got to finish it in
- 30:08Speaker 1: that window and then get out. Uh. And then the
- 30:12Speaker 1: resurfaced viral video. So where's he going to stay in Vegas? Sure?
- 30:18Speaker 1: I mean where's he going to stay in the stadium?
- 30:21Speaker 1: Where's the Yeah? Yeah, in in one of those suites.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I would think I've been Super Bowl in there, and
- 30:32Speaker 1: I did to be loved in there. I've been in
- 30:36Speaker 1: the owner suite. Um, you don't think you can live there.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I mean I've lived in the castle. I think, hey,
- 30:43Speaker 1: yeah you live. Yeah. I'm just saying you already gotten money.
- 30:47Speaker 1: I don't understand that ranch in Wyoming, like bro, bro, Bro,
- 30:57Speaker 1: that ain't tall cotton living. Now some of the stuff
- 31:00Speaker 1: that ain't in there. There's a bunch of refrigerators in there,
- 31:03Speaker 1: but it's pretty cavernish. Dog trust me, hot dogs don't
- 31:07Speaker 1: run his ass up out of day. So he go
- 31:14Speaker 1: to the bathroom. He go to the one whe got
- 31:16Speaker 1: eighteen stalls. Where does he shower? You gotta walk down
- 31:22Speaker 1: and you go to the restroom. Oh well, baby, Steve,
- 31:27Speaker 1: he's going to shower y'all in the locker room where
- 31:30Speaker 1: the players are, where the players where the shower and
- 31:34Speaker 1: all that. Nice. Oh mighty one going there with no
- 31:37Speaker 1: thirty two damn shower him. But you didn't know. He
- 31:41Speaker 1: likes things kind of barren. He doesn't like a lot
- 31:43Speaker 1: of furniture and stuff. You know, you saw it. Kind
- 31:47Speaker 1: of Yeah, he likes all that. Kim Kardashian was there
- 31:53Speaker 1: at she wasn't all four kids, Chloe. That was nice
- 31:57Speaker 1: of them to come just shaking it. Don't look at
- 32:01Speaker 1: your daddy, just don't. Don't even look at your daddy.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Well they say he has a chef and he has
- 32:06Speaker 1: living quarters there and it's it's working out. Yeah, Monica
- 32:12Speaker 1: just sent me a yeah, chef to prepare his meals. Um.
- 32:17Speaker 1: So when they dropped the kids off, they dropped them
- 32:18Speaker 1: off at the stadium. They have to stay the bleachers,
- 32:27Speaker 1: run down down the field and see your daddy run.
- 32:31Speaker 1: I don't want to stay. That's so crazy. He was
- 32:40Speaker 1: so into the ranch in Wyoming, and now he's at
- 32:43Speaker 1: the stadium. Come on, Kanye, so y'all saying y'all wouldn't
- 32:47Speaker 1: do it, that's what it says. Stevens definitely saying, man,
- 32:53Speaker 1: I mean he could be a minimal minimalist all he
- 32:56Speaker 1: wants that in my life. I'm not going but we're
- 32:59Speaker 1: not doing that. I didn't have everybody down now. I
- 33:02Speaker 1: don't give a damn I'm not doing that. Stay in
- 33:05Speaker 1: no damn stadium. When you called the seamen ass floors,
- 33:09Speaker 1: all these mention, look out, here's this damn football field.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Man out of here. Both wrong, man, ladies and gentlemen,
- 33:27Speaker 1: miss ann trip. Thank you very much everybody, and good morning. Well.
- 33:33Speaker 1: One more incident involving a racist teacher, this time in Missouri.
- 33:36Speaker 1: A high school teacher has been fired for calling doctor
- 33:38Speaker 1: Martin Luther King Junior Day black Privilege Day to his students.
- 33:42Speaker 1: The same teacher, John mcguffin, they say, also used the
- 33:45Speaker 1: racial slur during conversation about rap culture, and on another day,
- 33:49Speaker 1: mcguffin claimed that he had never seen racism in the
- 33:52Speaker 1: United States anyways, guys out of a job. The Sentence
- 33:54Speaker 1: for Disease Control reports it more than sixty four thousand
- 33:57Speaker 1: new COVID infections on Saturday. Own doctor Anthony Fauci says
- 34:01Speaker 1: that the new Delta variant is so contagious that the
- 34:04Speaker 1: health community is thinking about telling even vaccinated people to
- 34:08Speaker 1: start wearing masks again. By the way, organizes that this
- 34:12Speaker 1: year's Olympics have made it clear that mask will be
- 34:14Speaker 1: worn at all times, but that stance was restated actually
- 34:18Speaker 1: yesterday by the IOCs market Adams after some athletes were
- 34:22Speaker 1: seen taking off their mask and hugging each other. There
- 34:25Speaker 1: is no relaxation and we would urge and ask everyone
- 34:28Speaker 1: to obey the rules. You know, it's not nice to have,
- 34:31Speaker 1: must have. It's important both for the sports, for everyone involved,
- 34:35Speaker 1: and of course for our Japanese partners and friends. Senate
- 34:39Speaker 1: republicanly Rob Portman says that negotiations on a bipartisan infrastructure
- 34:44Speaker 1: deal continued over the weekend, and that while the first
- 34:47Speaker 1: procedural test vote on the bill went south, lawmakers could
- 34:50Speaker 1: take another vote on a slightly tweaked measure sometime this week.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Work by the committee investigating the January sixth riot it
- 34:58Speaker 1: gets underway today. Authorities in Floridas say there is at
- 35:01Speaker 1: least one last missing and unaccounted for a person from
- 35:04Speaker 1: the condominium that fell on itself a few weeks ago.
- 35:07Speaker 1: The woman is a seventy fifty four year old woman
- 35:10Speaker 1: from Brooklyn, New York, actually named Estella Heidia. Her brother
- 35:14Speaker 1: says she moved down to Florida four years ago to
- 35:16Speaker 1: work for a jewelry company. Even partially identified he Dia
- 35:19Speaker 1: could bring the death toll to ninety eight. And sad news.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Sad news. It's got to have some more sad news,
- 35:26Speaker 1: which I'll bring to you tomorrow about a civil rights activist.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Who've got Who's gone? Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 35:30Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening Steve Harvey Show. All right, come on, Steve,
- 35:36Speaker 1: it is time to look into the mind of your friend.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Let's go. You introduced the demented dog and bit of
- 35:42Speaker 1: mind of Jay Anthony Brown. I'm all of that. You're
- 35:47Speaker 1: own it. First of all, let me do a big
- 35:51Speaker 1: shout out to the owner of Shades Lowe. Me and
- 35:54Speaker 1: my daughters went over there, had a great time. It's
- 35:57Speaker 1: a weird feeling to see your daughters put away that
- 36:00Speaker 1: much alcohol. But I'm talking and I think one of
- 36:07Speaker 1: them needs a twelves. That program I'm gonna call whose names,
- 36:11Speaker 1: but there was a lot of alcohol cashing through that body. Also,
- 36:18Speaker 1: mister Paul Doja, thank you for letting me come up
- 36:20Speaker 1: on the stage and having a good time. Shade louns
- 36:23Speaker 1: can let me sucking. And now, with that being said, Steve,
- 36:26Speaker 1: could you do a little quick public announcement, maybe thirty
- 36:29Speaker 1: seconds and tell people how important it is to get
- 36:32Speaker 1: this damn shot. I know you said you. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 36:36Speaker 1: all bets is off with me. Some people who are
- 36:39Speaker 1: very very close to me who did not get the
- 36:41Speaker 1: vaccination are in some serious positions right now health wise.
- 36:47Speaker 1: It is nothing to play with. I've taken everything in consideration.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Quit telling me about the Tuskegee Institute because no one
- 36:54Speaker 1: was injected with anything at the Tuskegee Institute. Try experiment
- 36:59Speaker 1: it was medicine with hell to see the degree of it.
- 37:03Speaker 1: So let's get your facts straight. This is not a
- 37:05Speaker 1: plot to get rid of you. Take your damn vaccinations
- 37:09Speaker 1: before this thing strikes you, and I don't want it
- 37:11Speaker 1: to strike you in a bad way. Go ahead, Jane.
- 37:14Speaker 1: All right, with that being said, here's my song. Have
- 37:17Speaker 1: you ever had a friend who didn't vaccinating somehow. Day
- 37:21Speaker 1: was all in your face. Let me dad, but my situation.
- 37:25Speaker 1: They said it won't take getting the needle hurt, but
- 37:28Speaker 1: would you rather be on a ventil later? That's worse
- 37:31Speaker 1: coming in, Steven and you start to sweating and you
- 37:34Speaker 1: ain't winning goten the vaccine yet. And I'm telling you
- 37:38Speaker 1: the truth. I have a million. Then that ain't enough proof.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Don't even give me that. You kind of blame me
- 37:45Speaker 1: like I'm stupid. Yell you do want to vaccine? Will
- 37:56Speaker 1: you shift think again? But we can him my resent?
- 38:00Speaker 1: Oh baby, you should get into that scene, that scene
- 38:08Speaker 1: the shop because we don't want to shoot to do baby?
- 38:13Speaker 1: You don't want to that scene? Will you should think again? Gets?
- 38:23Speaker 1: Oh baby, you come on, you need to that scene.
- 38:30Speaker 1: He has some class and shot up in your ass.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Oh baby, you I have no words. Coming up here.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Four minutes open hour, we'll be back with more of
- 38:48Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I think we need to
- 38:49Speaker 1: regroup right here. Will be back right after this. Jay.
- 38:54Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 38:59Speaker 1: so this is Monday. How about a fun Monday question
- 39:02Speaker 1: for you guys? Here? It is have you ever had
- 39:05Speaker 1: a small brain malfunction on the snide inappropriate remark you
- 39:11Speaker 1: meant to say to yourself actually came out of your mouth,
- 39:15Speaker 1: you know, like we always say inside boys outside boys?
- 39:19Speaker 1: Did I say that aloud? Stuff like that? So, Steve,
- 39:22Speaker 1: I know you have but we'll yeah, we'll get to
- 39:26Speaker 1: you last. So what have you blurted out in public
- 39:30Speaker 1: that you thought was just one of your inner thought monologues? Jay,
- 39:34Speaker 1: I'll go first. I was having a party this one time,
- 39:37Speaker 1: which I don't like parties at my house, but I
- 39:40Speaker 1: let because the person I was dating have a party
- 39:44Speaker 1: at the house for me. A party ship in at
- 39:46Speaker 1: nine thirty and the party ship be old, Yeah, nine
- 39:51Speaker 1: damn thirty, you've eaten? You've heard music? What m Yeah?
- 39:58Speaker 1: So I thought I was talking to her and I
- 40:01Speaker 1: yelled out, when't they taking their ass home? Everybody had
- 40:08Speaker 1: the party heard me, and that ended the party. The
- 40:12Speaker 1: party did intended, well, that's what you want it, which
- 40:19Speaker 1: is what I wanted. So anyway, that's I blurted it out.
- 40:22Speaker 1: When the hell they going home? All right? Nephew, come on,
- 40:28Speaker 1: I knew you have a few. Oh, I got one
- 40:32Speaker 1: that I ain't never forgotten meals ago a little pool party.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I said it. I said it, all right, I thought,
- 40:39Speaker 1: I said to myself, no wife, Your wife is fine, Scott,
- 40:57Speaker 1: you live to tell that story, all right, all right,
- 41:00Speaker 1: come on, Steve, I know you have one. I got
- 41:04Speaker 1: a bunch of them. But I was about I was
- 41:07Speaker 1: about sixteen. It's about sixteen, and we was all in
- 41:12Speaker 1: the backyard barbecuing, and uh, you know, it was time
- 41:16Speaker 1: to eat. So you know, they had a little table
- 41:19Speaker 1: set up in the back and you just kind of
- 41:22Speaker 1: went around and you know, pull a little sirea wrap
- 41:25Speaker 1: off and took a dimp, you know, put put food
- 41:27Speaker 1: on your plate. And I'm walking around and put the
- 41:29Speaker 1: food on the plate, and I just said, man, I
- 41:32Speaker 1: can't stand these damn baked biddings. My aunt was standing
- 41:39Speaker 1: back there and said, that's because there ain't no damn
- 41:41Speaker 1: baked beans. That's chili. Who the hell makes chili? Dam
- 41:48Speaker 1: summer time? Your baked beans was so trifling. I said,
- 41:54Speaker 1: I can't stand it. Baked beans can standing back being
- 41:57Speaker 1: stay chili alight? Basically about any outside voice, just something
- 42:08Speaker 1: you said aloud, but you really thought you were saying
- 42:10Speaker 1: it to yourself. Come on, Jake, you know another Okay.
- 42:14Speaker 1: So this other time we were having a party. I
- 42:17Speaker 1: let another party at the house, and so the wine
- 42:23Speaker 1: was really cheap wine, you know, so I yelled out,
- 42:26Speaker 1: who the hell bought this cheap ass wine? You know,
- 42:29Speaker 1: I thought I was saying it to my inside voice.
- 42:33Speaker 1: And the lady who was at the party said, I
- 42:37Speaker 1: bought that cheap ass wine, and I'm gonna just take
- 42:39Speaker 1: it home. I'm like, okay, I apologize. It's not that cheap.
- 42:46Speaker 1: To fix it. I said it. I said it said
- 42:52Speaker 1: some things. Yeah. Yeah. At my mama house, a lot
- 42:55Speaker 1: of big family, big family gather and I don't know,
- 42:58Speaker 1: I'm like, who the glass woman in the kitchen who
- 43:03Speaker 1: said that out loud? I was a little boy. This
- 43:15Speaker 1: when the first time I called about eight, maybe nine, Yeah,
- 43:19Speaker 1: eight or nine. I had just got a whipping, and
- 43:23Speaker 1: I was in my room, roob in my leg and
- 43:25Speaker 1: I was going, I hate you, I hate you, I
- 43:29Speaker 1: hate you. And I thought I was saying it soft enough.
- 43:33Speaker 1: My daddy walked in the room said you hate who.
- 43:37Speaker 1: I just started crying hard. Coming up next to nephew
- 43:45Speaker 1: with today's frank phone call. Right after this, you're listening
- 43:52Speaker 1: to show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 43:57Speaker 1: right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today.
- 44:00Speaker 1: The subject should I punch her or pray for her?
- 44:03Speaker 1: That is the subject. We'll get intoday just a little
- 44:06Speaker 1: bit right, punch and prey. Right now, the nephew is
- 44:12Speaker 1: here with today's praying phone call. What you got for us? Enough?
- 44:16Speaker 1: You married yo brother? You married yo brother? Let's go

- 44:49Speaker 1: insurance group. I have you alls live results and everything
- 44:52Speaker 1: as far as your physicals and blood cuts and things
- 44:55Speaker 1: of that nature. Is there any way I could possibly
- 44:58Speaker 1: talk to both of you guys at the same time,
- 45:00Speaker 1: You and Harvey. Is that possible? Um? Well, sure he's
- 45:03Speaker 1: at work right now, but I can get him on
- 45:05Speaker 1: the phone. Okay, it would be uh, it'd be kind
- 45:08Speaker 1: of easy if I kind of explained everything to both
- 45:10Speaker 1: of you guys at the same time as if that's okay, Okay,
- 45:13Speaker 1: some wrong, Uh no, nothing's wrong. I mean I think
- 45:16Speaker 1: I need to just try to bring a few things
- 45:17Speaker 1: to you guys attention. But I think you know, after that,
- 45:20Speaker 1: it's pretty much you guys decision on what you do.
- 45:22Speaker 1: But I just wanted to let you know a few
- 45:23Speaker 1: things about you know, the results and things that I
- 45:26Speaker 1: named your life insurance the whole nine yards. Okay, okay,
- 45:30Speaker 1: hold on, let me shoo if talking, get him on
- 45:31Speaker 1: the phone. Hello, Hey, babe, Hey sweet art Um. Look,
- 45:38Speaker 1: I got the insurance people on the line. They want
- 45:41Speaker 1: to get both of us on the phone to talk
- 45:43Speaker 1: to us about the insurance stuff. Oh hey, Harvey, are
- 45:47Speaker 1: you doing this? Is Keith Keep from the insurance group?
- 45:50Speaker 1: How are you? Hey? Good with that? Nicky? Good? Good? Listen, Um.
- 45:53Speaker 1: I wanted to give you guys a call and kind
- 45:55Speaker 1: of follow up. You guys did physicals and blood tests
- 45:58Speaker 1: and the whole nine yards, and I want to give
- 46:00Speaker 1: you guys a call. It's kind of better if I
- 46:01Speaker 1: talk to both of you guys at the same time.
- 46:03Speaker 1: So do you have a minute that we could actually
- 46:05Speaker 1: use to kind of get some of this information out
- 46:07Speaker 1: to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I'm gonna break
- 46:10Speaker 1: right now. I'm good. Okay, great. First of all, we've
- 46:12Speaker 1: gotten all your your lab results back everything, and I
- 46:15Speaker 1: kind of got a few questions for you guys that
- 46:17Speaker 1: I'm a little puzzled on. How long have you guys
- 46:20Speaker 1: actually been married. Well, we've been together back two years, okay, now,
- 46:25Speaker 1: prior to being married three years. How long did you
- 46:27Speaker 1: guys know each other before you got married? About five
- 46:32Speaker 1: and a half five six kids years? Okay, you guys
- 46:35Speaker 1: have been knowing each other pretty cluse nine years now
- 46:37Speaker 1: all together? Yeah, okay. Are you actually from the same hometowns?
- 46:41Speaker 1: You grew up in the same hometown? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 46:45Speaker 1: we grew up. I mean if I'm I'm sorry, is
- 46:47Speaker 1: this question? I mean, is this about the insurance or well,
- 46:51Speaker 1: I mean there's a few things that's that's actually uh puzzling,
- 46:55Speaker 1: Carmen that we need to this. This this is some
- 46:58Speaker 1: news that I actually didn't want to bring you guys.
- 47:00Speaker 1: I mean, we have to, I have to actually give
- 47:03Speaker 1: you this news. Looking at our records, looking at all
- 47:05Speaker 1: the test results, and let me be the person to
- 47:07Speaker 1: tell you that we run these results over and over
- 47:09Speaker 1: and over, trying to make sure we are completely one
- 47:13Speaker 1: hundred and fifteen. Right, Okay, it's a problem with the test. Well,
- 47:17Speaker 1: looking at our test, guys, Harvey a garment, it's indicating
- 47:22Speaker 1: that you guys are related. And nine times I'd attend
- 47:26Speaker 1: you are you guys are siblings? Man? What? Ok And
- 47:35Speaker 1: I understand the shot. It took me. It took everything
- 47:37Speaker 1: I had to make this phone call. I did not
- 47:39Speaker 1: want to make it. But looking at our records and
- 47:41Speaker 1: we went over these records over and over and and
- 47:45Speaker 1: and the blow work tells us that you guys are
- 47:47Speaker 1: actually siblings. Man, Are you serious? Man? I'm actually you
- 47:58Speaker 1: know this is not a This is not a laughing matter,
- 48:01Speaker 1: not a joking matter. You know. Like I said, I
- 48:03Speaker 1: did not want to call with this information. What you
- 48:06Speaker 1: did make the call? Man? Look you, I don't know what.
- 48:11Speaker 1: You need to go back and and and double check
- 48:14Speaker 1: your records or something. Because you've been married three brief
- 48:19Speaker 1: check with the laugh man, can't you check with the laughing?
- 48:21Speaker 1: Like paul Us back? Harvey and I and I knew
- 48:25Speaker 1: those questions would have come up, and we we went
- 48:27Speaker 1: over it. We went over it and over and over it.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Y'all need to go over it again because I don't
- 48:33Speaker 1: make no dam babe, I got this. You made the
- 48:37Speaker 1: call and this gotta be wrong. So what you need
- 48:40Speaker 1: to do is make another call and called the lab
- 48:43Speaker 1: and call us back and let us know that you
- 48:45Speaker 1: either though they made a mistake of Are you talking
- 48:48Speaker 1: about me and my wife? And I understand it, Harry, Harry,
- 48:51Speaker 1: Let me ask you this is it possible, you know?
- 48:54Speaker 1: And this is just a question. Is it possible that
- 48:57Speaker 1: your dad and maybe her mom maybe knew each other
- 49:00Speaker 1: some point and what you're saying by my mom and
- 49:03Speaker 1: dad that that that's some straight look at You need
- 49:07Speaker 1: to have go back and do whatever you need to do.
- 49:09Speaker 1: But I think you much. You say something like that again.
- 49:12Speaker 1: I tell you my baby's gonna be coming down the beach.
- 49:14Speaker 1: I'm saying that like that, hold on baby, old baby, baby, baby,
- 49:18Speaker 1: hold on baby, I got this, hold on, I gotta baby,
- 49:21Speaker 1: I gotta baby. I gotta say how you're gonna call
- 49:24Speaker 1: me with you what you'd you from people? Dude like that?
- 49:28Speaker 1: But that ain't all I'm doing, sir, is bringing you
- 49:31Speaker 1: the result or I should bring me results in person,
- 49:33Speaker 1: and I I wanted you. That's what I'm talking about. Hey, sir,
- 49:38Speaker 1: even if you beat the messenger at the end of
- 49:40Speaker 1: the day, that's still your sister. At the end of
- 49:42Speaker 1: the day, I'm gonna want you. Look, I don't care
- 49:44Speaker 1: what you're talking about. Nothing. He ain't my damn brother.
- 49:47Speaker 1: I got it. I'm gonna find you off whatever jupicle
- 49:50Speaker 1: you in. You're gonna call me something about brother. So
- 49:54Speaker 1: that's my wife. I am having that sude Somewhere down
- 49:57Speaker 1: the line. Somebody made a mistake and you guys, my
- 50:00Speaker 1: brother and sister got married. I'm not at far for that.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Let me tell you that he's in one of these
- 50:06Speaker 1: numbers again in your life. So I got one more result.
- 50:10Speaker 1: I do need to get hold what you've been talking about.
- 50:15Speaker 1: What else you got to say? Now that's gonna be
- 50:17Speaker 1: worting me. The only other touch result I have, ma'am,
- 50:20Speaker 1: is that this is nephew tim Me from the Steve

- 51:05Speaker 1: You know I don't go in shallow. I go in
- 51:07Speaker 1: deep jump every everything seems deep to a shallow person. Oh,
- 51:14Speaker 1: don't accept that. You don't have to accept that. Hate
- 51:20Speaker 1: a ration man, magnified man. That's all good though. That's
- 51:32Speaker 1: how you do it though, when you want to. That's
- 51:34Speaker 1: you know, your little teaspoon of stupid this morning thought,
- 51:36Speaker 1: I drop it on you. That is stupid and ignorant

- 52:24Speaker 1: I showed himself. No no no, no no no no
- 52:26Speaker 1: no no no. When I do something ignorant, okay, I
- 52:30Speaker 1: don't ever do nothing stupid. Ever I'm trying to be
- 52:39Speaker 1: I'm trying to be an ignorant supporter. But you just
- 52:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep it sticking that. You keep it. You
- 52:52Speaker 1: just keep it. We're good. We'll we'll we'll understand we

- 53:34Speaker 1: got it for you. Here it is Strawberry letter, all right?
- 53:37Speaker 1: Subject should I punch her? Or pray for her? Dear
- 53:40Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I'm a fifty seven year old single mother
- 53:44Speaker 1: and I am all up in my daughter's business. My
- 53:47Speaker 1: daughter is thirty one years old and a professional woman.
- 53:50Speaker 1: She's stating a man that I can't believe she would
- 53:53Speaker 1: ever be attracted to. He's a forty year old single
- 53:56Speaker 1: father with two sons that are six years old. He
- 54:00Speaker 1: owns a car wash and makes a good living, but
- 54:03Speaker 1: he's flashy and loves to be the center of attention.
- 54:06Speaker 1: He's always been respectful to me, but I have a
- 54:09Speaker 1: problem with how he tolerates certain behaviors from his twins mother.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Let's call the twins mother Rita, and my daughter's boyfriend
- 54:18Speaker 1: is Tony. Rita has vandalized my daughter's car and she's
- 54:22Speaker 1: tried to fight my daughter in public. One night, when
- 54:25Speaker 1: she and Tony went out for dinner, I tried to
- 54:27Speaker 1: tell her that Tony is too ghetto and he's used
- 54:30Speaker 1: to ghetto girls, but she is crazy about him. Last week,
- 54:35Speaker 1: my daughter was at Tony's house by herself and Rita
- 54:38Speaker 1: walked in on her. Tony said he gave Rita a
- 54:41Speaker 1: key to his house because she needed access to her twins.
- 54:45Speaker 1: My daughter locked herself in the bedroom because she was
- 54:47Speaker 1: afraid of Rita. My daughter called me and I sped
- 54:50Speaker 1: over to Tony's house to help her. Tony was there
- 54:53Speaker 1: trying to calm Rita down. I got my daughter out
- 54:56Speaker 1: of there, but not before Rita swung at me. I
- 55:00Speaker 1: used to teach kickboxing, so I was ready for miss Rita.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Tony diffused the situation and asked my daughter to explain
- 55:08Speaker 1: to me what's going on. We went outside and my
- 55:11Speaker 1: daughter said, Rita has some mental issues and she acts
- 55:14Speaker 1: out sometimes, so we have to pray for her. I
- 55:17Speaker 1: know my daughter is sheltered, but not this darn naive.
- 55:21Speaker 1: I told my daughter that Tony is feeding her a
- 55:24Speaker 1: bunch of bs and she needs to wise up. Should
- 55:27Speaker 1: I let Rida beat her butt one good time so
- 55:30Speaker 1: she'll ride, she'll wise up? Please help? What, mama? What
- 55:35Speaker 1: let Rita beat your daughters? But no, don't do that.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Rita is crazy and please don't let her crazy behind
- 55:42Speaker 1: get it at your daughter. She could really hurt her.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I mean, you know, thank god you did take kickboxing,
- 55:48Speaker 1: so you're ready for Rita at that time. I know
- 55:51Speaker 1: you would, mom, but you shouldn't have to fight your
- 55:53Speaker 1: daughter's battles. This trifle men, like you said, we'll call
- 55:57Speaker 1: him Tony doesn't care anything about your daughter. He'd put
- 55:59Speaker 1: her in harm's way, he's the one that's allowing this
- 56:03Speaker 1: to happen. I agree with you that he tolerates too
- 56:06Speaker 1: much from Rita. What is going on with him and
- 56:08Speaker 1: Rita besides her being the mother of his twins. I
- 56:11Speaker 1: think Rita's just way too bold, too comfortable for there
- 56:15Speaker 1: not to be something else going on between the two
- 56:17Speaker 1: of them. And again, thank you, because you took kickboxing,
- 56:22Speaker 1: you never know when that might come in Handy. I
- 56:24Speaker 1: think this is a wrong man. I think this is
- 56:26Speaker 1: a wrong relationship for your daughter. But until she sees
- 56:30Speaker 1: it for herself, and she doesn't because you said she
- 56:33Speaker 1: is crazy about mister Tony. But until she sees it
- 56:36Speaker 1: for herself, there's not a lot you can do, mom,
- 56:39Speaker 1: but rush over there when she calls you. Rita and
- 56:43Speaker 1: Tony twins, they share kids together, so they're always going
- 56:48Speaker 1: to be around. Your daughter is always going to have
- 56:50Speaker 1: to deal with this problem. But there are no boundaries.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Your daughter hasn't said any and Tony, who should be
- 56:56Speaker 1: setting boundaries, hasn't. He just lets Rita run a muck.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Rita has no respect for your daughter. She's no respect
- 57:02Speaker 1: for this relationship. She just walks in with the key
- 57:05Speaker 1: whenever she feels like it. So your daughter needs to
- 57:08Speaker 1: realize that she's in over her head with this man
- 57:11Speaker 1: and Rita, and unless she's willing to stand up for
- 57:13Speaker 1: herself and stop hiding and locking herself in the bedroom
- 57:16Speaker 1: and all that, she's fighting a losing battle. I just
- 57:19Speaker 1: think you know this guy doesn't deserve her tony, and
- 57:23Speaker 1: your daughter needs to move on for sure. I'm sure
- 57:25Speaker 1: you'd be happy with that, mom, Steve Well Shirley, I disagree, Okay,
- 57:33Speaker 1: I disagree. I don't like the mother in this letter,
- 57:37Speaker 1: and I don't like the mother's assessment of the situation.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Should I punch her prey for her? Did steven sherl
- 57:44Speaker 1: out and fifty seven year old single mother, I'm all
- 57:46Speaker 1: up in my daughter's business, being right there, all up
- 57:51Speaker 1: in my daughter's business. My daughter, thirty one professional woman,
- 57:54Speaker 1: she's dating a man I can't believe she would even
- 57:56Speaker 1: be attracted to. And why not. He's a forty year
- 57:59Speaker 1: old single father with twin sons that are six years old.
- 58:04Speaker 1: He owns a car washing and he makes a good living.
- 58:07Speaker 1: But he's flashy and he loves to be the center
- 58:09Speaker 1: of attention. Okay, what does that mean? He's always been
- 58:16Speaker 1: respectful to me, but I have a problem with how
- 58:20Speaker 1: he tolerates certain behaviors from his twins. Mother, What what
- 58:28Speaker 1: do you mean you have a problem with how he
- 58:31Speaker 1: tolerates certain behavior. So let's call the twins mother reader,
- 58:35Speaker 1: and my daughter's boyfriend is Tony. Here we go. Reader
- 58:39Speaker 1: has vandalized my daughter's card. He didn't tolerate that. That's
- 58:45Speaker 1: nothing he tolerated, reader, Crazy ass reader, vandalize your daughter's
- 58:51Speaker 1: car as she tried to fight my daughter. The man
- 58:56Speaker 1: didn't tolerate that. Crazy ass Reader tried to fight your
- 59:01Speaker 1: daughter in public one night. When she in public one
- 59:06Speaker 1: night when she and Tony went to dinner, I tried
- 59:09Speaker 1: to tell her that Tony is too ghetto and he's
- 59:12Speaker 1: used to ghetto girls. What does that have to do
- 59:18Speaker 1: with him tolerating anything from his crazy ex. Last week,
- 59:27Speaker 1: my daughter's at tony house by herself, and Rida walked
- 59:30Speaker 1: in on her. Tony said he gave Rida a key
- 59:37Speaker 1: to his house because she needed access to the twins.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Your daughter don't live that hold on Rida used to
- 59:46Speaker 1: live there. I'll wait, We'll have part two of Steve's
- 59:51Speaker 1: response coming up. At twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letters subject should I punch her? Or pray
- 59:57Speaker 1: for her? We'll find out when we come back right
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right? Come on, Steve, Let's
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: recap today Strawberry Letters. Subject is should I punch her
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: or pray for her? Fifty seven year old single mother
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: all up in her daughter's business right there, right there,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: bad letter daughter thirty one professional dating a man. I
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: can't believe she's attracted to it. And the reason she
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: can't believe it because a man is forty year old,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: single father with twin sons six years old, owns a car, washer,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: makes a good living. So what is it you don't like?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: But he's flashing. He loves be the center of attention.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: He's always been respectful to me. Okay, that don't mean nothing.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: But I have a problem with how he tolerates sudden
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: behavior from his twins mother. Then you proceed the list
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: of go down a list of things that I don't
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: see how the man is tolerating He let the twins
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: mother mother's name reading, a boyfriend named Tony read the
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: vanalized my daughter's car. The man didn't tolerate that. She
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: tried to fight my daughter. The man didn't tolerate that.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: It's just read her asses crazy. Then when they went
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: to dinner, I tried to tell her Tony's to get on.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: He used to dating ghetto girls, but she's crazy about it. Well,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: what does that have to do with Tony tolerating the
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: ex's behavior? Last week where my daughter was at Tony's
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: house by herself and readA walked in on it, Tony
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: said he gave Reader key to the house because she
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: needed access to her twins. Okay, now you know people
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: have different arrangements. Reader don't live there, and so he
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: didn't gave us crazy health for the key to come
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: in here when he got the kids, check on the kids.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Blah blah blah blah blah. I don't know what that
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: arrangement is, buddy, She got a key to his house.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: She might have lived there before with the kids. Anybody
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: ever thought of this right here? But my daughter locked
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: herself in the bedroom because she was afraid to read them.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Ain't got nothing to do with what the man tolerate. Though,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: my daughter called me and I spared over the Tony's
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: house to help, but Tony was there trying to calm Reader. Down.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I got my daughter out of there, but not before
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Reader swung at me. readA asked crazy. Yes, Reader swung
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: at you, that's not him tolerating or behavior. Why you
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: think Reader his ax because he no Reader? Crazy crazy
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: people sometimes, I'm just saying this. Sometimes crazy people have
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: good sex, ohzy. Sometimes. Yes. I used to teach cook kickboxing,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: so I was ready for miss Reader. Tony diffused his
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: situation and asked my daughter to explain to me what's
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: going on. We went outside and my daughter said, Reader
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: has some mental it sounds like and she acts out,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: so we have to pray for her. No, I'm pretty
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: sure Tony didn't ask you to pray for I know
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: my daughter is shelter, but not this dog go naive.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I told my daughter that Tony is feeding her a
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: bunch of bs. He may not be telling everything, and
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: that she needs to wise up. Should I let Reader
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: beat her but one good time so she will wise up? Yes? Yes, Now,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: how you gonna stop it? Because one time she gonna
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: be over there and Reader gonna get that whipping in
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: for you. Get you spared over that this time because
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: she locked herself in the bedroom, Reader gonna roll up
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: on the one time. She's gonna be getting that dog
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: on bed. Why does why does Tony just let her
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: just come into the house and just run them up,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: just do what she don't. He don't just let her.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: He gave her key, He gave her key, she got boundaries,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: but she oversteps him. She vandaliza girl's car. That ain't
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: tony fault. She tried to fight the woman. That ain't
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Tony fault, see you man, Sureley, because she got a
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: key to the house. That's what doesn't seem like Tony
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: is stepping up defending this girl. Tony just stepped up
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: and defending I don't see what he knight not defending
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: the mama. De Lenna is from the damn mama that's
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: up in the thirty one year old business. She ain't
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: got all the facts Tony and asked her to step
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: outside and explain to your mama what's going on? Over
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: hill Steve, if this was your daughter, this ain't my daughter,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I said. If it was and she was with some
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: clown that you didn't like and his ex was doing
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: all this, you know you'd be you'd have something to say.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: You know you would either. But Suley, she may not
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: want a daughter with the man. I understand that. But
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: everybody comes with some luggage, yes, everybody. He got the
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: crazy ex. I know this letter right him. See, that's
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: why I'm saying. You can't write this dude off because
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: this ex is looped. That's what I'm That's what I
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: hate to see people doing. Well, you write, you're writing
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: him off because his ex is crazy. Yeah, because he
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: doesn't what is he doing to help to stop all this?
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: He doesn't seem to be Yeah, And that's what I said.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: No boundaries, and he doesn't seem to be trying to
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: help his girl. That's what I see in the letter.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: That's not what I see. You can give all this.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Oh wait, let me explay something. Boundaries you can get,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: you can get court orders, you can get racket seal,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you can get all this. They can do what they
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: want to do. And it ain't got nothing to do
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: what you allowing nothing. She's just in a crazy situation.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: The daughter, this crazy woman. But the mom ain't go
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: bear to save everybody, So I don't. Well, well, we
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: agree to disagree. We agree to disagree. Okay, thank you,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: all right, thank you. Steve. Post your comments on today's
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. At Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Please check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. Now
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: coming up at forty six minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: have some sports talk with Steve and for Junior. Right
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, we know that Junior is out, but
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: guess what Steve is in with sports talk? Hey, Steve,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: what you got? Well, the Olympics is on everybody, and
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: everybody knows that I watch all ignorant ass things. Yeah,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: I have more facts about the now. Carlin has sent
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: me some things about the Olympics. But I have some
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: things that I will be sharing with you. USA wanta
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: gold medal and fiscing and got a bronze and silver
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: medal in the men's and women swimming. Uh, that's the
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: boy with the bow, the eagle and the shock on
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: his chest. He didn't already won one. And then the
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: white girl, the name that starred with the air sheeting
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: one one girl. No, I'm just telling you what that
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Kevin Duran, damon little ass and set them lost to France.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: The most humiliating thing I've ever seen. What they over
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: there fault, Sorry ass, go over there and let them
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: kids whip them. Friends ain't good enough to beat them,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: ain'tybody on their team, but Rudy Gobert and you said
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: them let them board win. All right. Now here's another one.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Coreal whip everybody ass in fencing, and I want you
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: to know that that Japan. No no no, I meant
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: archery and the archery. And then I gotta tell you
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: this here Japan with type hand China ass and it's
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: nithing to play China in the mixed doubles table tennis.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: And lord, the little five foot Japanese girl and whipping
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: everybody as I don't know her name, but Lord, that
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: little girl right here stronger than the dudes over there.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: So I'm cheering for her. I'm hoping Japan beat China,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: you know whatever. Also in gymnastics, Simone Bows had a
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: rough first day and one any damn way, so now
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: she will be representing in the qualifying round along with
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Jordan's childs is Childs and Bows, the two black girls
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: and the little or Asian girl with the black dad
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: and she in two and I don't know, and then
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: the twenty four year old white girl that was a
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: runner up in Rio Denisio in Brazil. Really well, you
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: know the same she anyway, she made the Olympic team
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: and she and that good and they the two white
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: girls with the red suits than one just say, and
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: it's really really good. I have more Olympic news if
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: you want it. I'm Hella, I'm Helen. I got some moat.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: All right, Today's National Auntie and Uncle Day, and we're
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: gonna talk to everybody's favorite uncle, Steve Harvey when we
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: come back at the top of the hour. Yep, Uncle Steve.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening morning show, all right. So
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I didn't even know this was a thing, but today
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: is National Uncle and Auntie Day. So Steve, you're everybody's
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: favorite uncle. Two questions, Any advice you want to give
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: your nieces and your nephew And do you have a
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: favorite auntie or uncle's story? My favorite uncle is my
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: uncle Donald, hands down. And I loved all my aunts
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: except for Agnes the only one stop always Agnes fat
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: are always hate for never encouraged me. You know, she
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: should give everybody nickel for going to the store, right,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: But because I studied, she didn't want to give me
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: no nickel car, I ain't got all day to weight
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: on you to come back here with this food down trunk.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Figure out what says says say? I said, Oh, I
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: couldn't stay in her ass. But anyway, yeah, I wanted
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: some advice to my nephews and nieces out there and
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: send a millennial division and everything. Look, I know that
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: this generation, and I applaud you off for being the
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: most tech savvy and aggressively thinking generation that has come
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: along in a while. I do want to say also
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: that the Black Lives Matter movement has become the most
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: relevant movement to move forward the ambitions of people of
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: color than when Civil rights movement. I want to say that.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I also want to remind you all that still that
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: has to be a work ethic applied. I think the
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: element that's missing from this generation is the work ethic
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: of your superiors. That's not to knock what you're doing,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: but so many young people have benefited from online and
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: struck it, hit it with some type of e commerce,
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: little hustle and asking for money and go fund me
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: pages and all these here. That has got everybody trying
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: to find that magical way for themselves. Nothing substitutes and
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: replaces hard work. There is no elevator to the top.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: You have to take the stairs. I wish I could
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: get young people to understand, man, that if you could
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: take this technical savviness that you have and this technical
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: advancements that you have and put my generation's work ethic
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: with it, this would be an unstoppable generation. But it's
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: too many, far too many trying to trying to hit
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: it rich quick look for the next wonder moment online
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: when you waste a lot of time when you could
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: be just putting in some serious working and making yourself
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: some real money. That's my advice. I mean, that's what
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: I'm learning from these young people. Man. And like God,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: even in my own children, you know, they always got
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: these bright ideas, but then at the end of the day,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I'll tell them, hey, look y'all, you can have these
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: great ideas and I'm gonna support it, but you can
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: have to put some work with this thing, and you
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: can stop thinking. You find to strike a bitch next
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: next week, one of my kids told me I'm gonna
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: make eighty million dollars this year. The child who what
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: I said? It's February, I know, but I'm fitting to
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: sign some deals. Okay, all right, and then you and
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: can I sign them too? Well, needless to say, it's
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: not working out that way, But I mean it's good
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: to have ambitions and everything, but some of these unrealistic
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: timelines are bit. Look, it's okay to make eighty million,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: but understand what I've learned, it take a long time,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: make a lot of money and keep it. Where's the
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: disconnect between our generation and their generation and the hard
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: work aspect? Well, it's just you've seen so many people
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: hit it. But that's all only the ones they highlight.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: They don't, they don't highlight the failures. Instagram is the
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: highlight reel of people's life. I did this, I did that,
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: I did this idea that let's come back and talk
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: about it because there's some more to this. All right.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: It is National Auntie and Uncle Day. We'll talk more,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: uh from Uncle Steve, and get more of his advice
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show, all right, Steve,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: we were just talking about National Uncle and Auntie Day.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: You were giving our millennials and our gen xes out
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: there some advice to your nieces and nephews and a
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: great generation, a great generation. And I applaud them like
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I say, I commend them for being tech savvy, and
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: I really commend them for this, for spearheading this Black
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Lives Matter movement because it's been the most relevant movement
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: for advancement of people of color since Civil Rights movement.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: I've never seen anything like it in these young people, athletes,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: everybody's involved. Man, They've got some young leaders out there
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: that's female and male, and I think that's new. I
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: think it's day of a gifted group. I think the
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: disconnect that I see is because this generation only shows
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: the highlight reels of people's life, and it has people
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: who don't understand that these highlights reel are merely highlights.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: That there are hundreds of millions of people who don't
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: hit it one time, who ain't one hit wonders, and
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: that don't have that birken bag that's not really their
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: birken bag, that's not really their jet, that's not really
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: their call, that's not really their skin. They got filters
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: that's really not their waistline. And they got all these
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: young people thinking that they got to go and you
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: all it is and they can hit it quick. Yeah,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: there is no elevator to the top and that's what
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: And I'm going to share another reason with you too.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: If we have chick okay, more advice from Uncle Steve,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: a national Uncle and Auntie Day right after this you're
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: listening to, all right, this is National Uncle and Auntie Day.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: And we were just you know, just at Steve sweet
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: with more advice from him to his nieces and nephews.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Go ahead, Steve. Well, you know we've been talking about
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: this generation and sometimes how we have a disconnect. And
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: I've commended this generation and I'll do it again for
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: being as tech savvy and as forward thinking and progressive
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: as you all are, having made more wealthy people that
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: I've seen come along in a long time, and also
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: for Black Lives Matter movement, which has been the most
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: significant movement since the Civil Rights. Here is a slight disconnect,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: and it is because your parents didn't have the knowledge
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: of technology. It doesn't mean that they don't possess massive
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: amounts of technology, because as technical as you are, we
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: still got to get down to how to become successful,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: and as technical as you are, we still have to
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: get down to how to gain life experiences. And some
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: things will never ever change. And don't write older people
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: off because they don't know how to go online and
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: do the or they ain't got social media. Don't write
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: them off like they are without value, because they bring
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: a value to the tables that you can't really put online.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Like I was talking about success, and like I'm talking
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: about experience. You can't google success or experience. I don't
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: care what you do. And all this older generation comes
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: with something bad. They come with a work and work
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: at and a wisdom and a know how and a fight.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: They know how to fight, they know how to see
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a task through. So I wish that young people, some
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: young people would kind of remember that and be a
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: little bit more respectful for that generation or to in
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: front of you, and realize that a lot of those people,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: like the generation in front of me, paid the weighty.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: They paid the weight they made it possible for you
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: to even have Look, man, I was talking to one
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: of one of these people that worked for me. His
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: little brother has never known anything but a black president
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: and a black vice president. They've never known anything else.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: They don't know that him becoming president was a miracle. Yeah,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: And so you know, when you're born thinking this is
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: the way it is, you don't have a real idea
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: how it is got to be right that again, you
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: don't have any idea how it is got to be
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: because in order for something to be is, it's got
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: to be. A war was now and that was was why.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: And that's what I wish they would always remember about
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: that older generation. All Right, thank you Uncle Steve on
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: this National Uncle and Auntie Day. All Right, we'll be
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: back with our last break of the day and some
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: closing remarks from everybody's favorite uncle Steve Harvey. But Tommy
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: has some at forty nine minutes after right after this,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: you're listening to show. All Right, guys, here we are
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: our last break of the day on this Monday. Yes,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: is the last break of the day. Full week of
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: hard work, thank you God. Wow, a full week as
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: we go into a full week of work as we
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: go forth, as we go forward for a hard And
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: this relates because Steve was just talking yes, yes, because
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: he's right, the work, the work has to be done.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Can I can I? Can I say something? You know,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: you got to say what I was gonna say. You're
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: gonna say Happy National Uncle's Day. You're gonna say I
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: say that, That's not what I No, No, you said it,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: But no, that's not what I was fence to say. Now,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say he gave some knowledge and
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: wisdom and all of that last correct, Yeah, okay, But
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I just want to say this. I just want to
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: say this to a lot of y'all out there. Uh,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: get your own damn uncle. You know a lot of y'all.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: You know you want to lean on man, and how
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: what I got? And and but look at your Where
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: is your uncle? What the hell is he doing? Who?
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Who is your This is not yours? Find you somebody
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: your friend to look up to, Okay, find that you
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: don't have that where you're trifling ass uncle, that you
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: don't have what you know? What is he doing? He's
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: not giving you advice, he's not showing you, encourage you
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: how to make it through life. He's not showing you anything.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: And that's why you won't. Man. But you can't have that, Okay,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: and you can't. Yeah, every Yeah, go ahead, go ahead, Jake.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Not only do you need another uncle, because that's not
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: your damn uncle. Okay, it's not your damn don't be
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: looking at the radio. It's just not your uncle. I said,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: don't look at the radio, So the realization is kicking in.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: It's not your uncle, okay, damn it. Not only that,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: he's not your rich friend. Okay, he he's my rich
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: friend okay, not yours, not yours. And if you don't
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: have one, then shame on you. Shame on you, my
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: uncle and his rich friend. Okay, that's what it is.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: What is? What is? What is your uncle doing? What
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: is your auntie doing? What? What are they doing? Okay,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: let's spot let's spot like that. What is your look
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: at your life? Do you have a rich friend? My phone?
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Is that my phone? I'm the blame? Oh okay, okay,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: I don't have one, Jake, blame me, Tommy's okay? Cool?
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: Who is yours? Who? What is yours doing? So tell me?
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: People hate on you because Seves your uncle. Are you upset?
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: But are you mad at me because you don't ain't
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: doing it? Damn? What did you see Steve on? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: you think you because Steve on the Yes, he's on
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: the yacht. And here's something, here's something right, here's somethingwhere
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: we want you all to really know. This's what we
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: want to know when you when you when you see
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: us and you walk up on us, and you talk
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: to us for about five minutes, and when you talk
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: to us about five six minutes, and then you know, finally,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: after five or six minutes, we really get to why
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: you walked up on us. Okay, then out of your back,

- 1:23:53Speaker 1: can you get this to Steve? That's why you rolled
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: up on me. No, I can't, I can't. I can't
