- 1:01Speaker 1: is Don Lemon. Here's the host of a very popular
- 1:04Speaker 1: podcast entitled Silence Is Not An Option. That podcast, Silence

- 1:15Speaker 1: nation's deep racial divide. Now he's also every night you

- 1:29Speaker 1: please working to money making conversation, a voice for the
- 1:32Speaker 1: people of America. Don Lemon, thank you, sir. Look at
- 1:36Speaker 1: you your big time now look at that. I love Wow.
- 1:40Speaker 1: You got a video wall you alright, alright, thank you, sir.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Thank you. Know I like you are. You're walking the
- 1:48Speaker 1: walk and you're talking and talk and if you if
- 1:50Speaker 1: you bet on yourself. Yes, sir, I'm proud of you.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Look at you. You look good at you. You need
- 1:56Speaker 1: me to say that. But because I respect you and
- 2:00Speaker 1: we've kind of like we we met early when we're
- 2:02Speaker 1: at the radio station. I remember when you came by.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I spoke to Steve and myself, and we both were
- 2:07Speaker 1: finding out place in our balance. And and you have
- 2:10Speaker 1: your voice. And I remember last time I was doing
- 2:11Speaker 1: the show, I talked about your conference on to be
- 2:14Speaker 1: able to speak your truth. And I see that every
- 2:17Speaker 1: night on CNN and with the with the what we've
- 2:20Speaker 1: seen happened in this country. In one of the first
- 2:23Speaker 1: thing I want to talk about is that, you know,
- 2:25Speaker 1: we caused to hear about the Republicans in Congress and Senate.
- 2:28Speaker 1: This country is being divided. We don't want to divide
- 2:31Speaker 1: the country. But you and I both know as a
- 2:33Speaker 1: black person, we have always lived in a divided country.
- 2:36Speaker 1: What are your thoughts on that. Well, we're used to um,
- 2:40Speaker 1: you know, we're used to dealing with things as they say,
- 2:45Speaker 1: We're used to um people not looking out for us,
- 2:48Speaker 1: for getting the short end of the stick. But when
- 2:51Speaker 1: you speak about unity, and if you want to unify
- 2:54Speaker 1: the country, if you want unity, then there must be compromised. Yes,
- 2:59Speaker 1: and uh, there are certain people in this country who
- 3:03Speaker 1: are not used to compromising. And I used to compromise
- 3:07Speaker 1: at all, and so this is a foreign thing for them.
- 3:10Speaker 1: They're not used to losing. And so you see, you
- 3:12Speaker 1: get what's happened. What happened last Wednesday in the capital.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You get people storming the capital because they believe there's
- 3:19Speaker 1: no way that they can lose. That they're that the
- 3:22Speaker 1: society has built for them. It's made for them, the laws, everything,
- 3:26Speaker 1: the election, the White House, the Capital is all made
- 3:30Speaker 1: for them. How can they lose? And so what they
- 3:34Speaker 1: haven't real what they've what they've lost in all of
- 3:36Speaker 1: this is quite frankly, when you do something like that
- 3:39Speaker 1: is your mind. So if you want unity, then you
- 3:43Speaker 1: have to compromise, and you also have to realize that, well,
- 3:46Speaker 1: maybe I should have been telling the person who was
- 3:49Speaker 1: in charge that they needed to compromise as well, and
- 3:52Speaker 1: I should have been preaching munity months if not years ago,
- 3:55Speaker 1: And that's absolutely truth. Now. I live in the state
- 3:58Speaker 1: of George, Atlanta, George. In fact, we saw some Republicans
- 4:01Speaker 1: who were in the charge of the voting system down here.
- 4:04Speaker 1: In fact, Brad Ratzenberger is my neighbor, and I saw
- 4:07Speaker 1: what happened to him where he has a football stadium,
- 4:10Speaker 1: lights on his yard, so people will come up to
- 4:12Speaker 1: his house at night. People would just go up and
- 4:14Speaker 1: down the street protesting. So I saw that when I
- 4:18Speaker 1: saw what Brad Rothsenberger did and Gabriel Stirley, what was
- 4:21Speaker 1: your thoughts there were Republicans and you saw them being
- 4:24Speaker 1: twisted and laid out to the wind. Well, I was
- 4:27Speaker 1: happy that they that they did their jobs, and I
- 4:30Speaker 1: was happy that they um as public officials, that they
- 4:36Speaker 1: abided by their oaths. They had to, they had to
- 4:40Speaker 1: do what was in um. They had to follow the
- 4:42Speaker 1: law quite simply, and I'm glad they followed the law.
- 4:45Speaker 1: But imagine if we had some people who were not
- 4:47Speaker 1: as scrupulous UM and who um did not have the
- 4:52Speaker 1: amount of integrity that they do now. Listen, UM. Brad
- 4:55Speaker 1: Rathensburger has been highly criticized, and I think many people,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I would say rightly so for what for purging the
- 5:07Speaker 1: voter rolls before the last election, uh, and what some
- 5:10Speaker 1: would deemed to be voter suppression. But at least in
- 5:14Speaker 1: this one instance where we are now that you know,
- 5:19Speaker 1: those things have been dealt with by other Stacy Abrahams.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I'm not sure how much he's dealt with it, but
- 5:23Speaker 1: at least where we are now, he stood up for
- 5:25Speaker 1: the rule of law. He followed the laws, and he
- 5:28Speaker 1: stuck by his morals. And his principles, even when UM,
- 5:32Speaker 1: a sitting president, tried to co opt him and get
- 5:36Speaker 1: him to UM steal an election for him. So I
- 5:39Speaker 1: have to say that I'm happy with the way how
- 5:41Speaker 1: they stood up to this particular president and really to
- 5:45Speaker 1: something that is un American. What was so shocking up
- 5:48Speaker 1: to you about that phone called that Donald Trump madez
- 5:51Speaker 1: nous of it? Yes, Seawan, it was so brazen and
- 5:56Speaker 1: as if it was deserved. It was a height of entitlement.
- 5:59Speaker 1: But all so listen, I don't, I don't. I'm not
- 6:02Speaker 1: mincing my words here. It was crazy. He was an erratic,
- 6:06Speaker 1: he was romantic, he was basically not basically said I
- 6:11Speaker 1: need these votes. Find them. He said, find me eleven
- 6:14Speaker 1: thousand votes. I need eleven thousand vote votes. Come on, guys,
- 6:18Speaker 1: all I need is this. The election was stolen. And
- 6:20Speaker 1: every time he came up with some conspiracy theory about something,
- 6:25Speaker 1: you know, well they were they they took the machines up,
- 6:28Speaker 1: didn't Dominion take the machines or whoever? And they're like, no,
- 6:31Speaker 1: didn't they change the insides? No? Didn't they get rid
- 6:34Speaker 1: of votes or they burned votes or they um destroyed votes. No,
- 6:39Speaker 1: everything weren't they putting stuff in suitcases? No, every single
- 6:43Speaker 1: conspiracy theory that he had, they they they they denounced
- 6:49Speaker 1: it or um, you know. And it was so odd
- 6:54Speaker 1: to me because it gave me a picture of the
- 6:57Speaker 1: people who were around him. They debunked it. As a
- 6:59Speaker 1: word on a forth. He gave me an idea of
- 7:02Speaker 1: the kind of people who are around him. He's surrounding
- 7:04Speaker 1: himself with people who believe exactly what he believes. And
- 7:09Speaker 1: that was what That's what shocked me the most. What
- 7:11Speaker 1: I was saying, he really believes that people are taking
- 7:13Speaker 1: the parts. That's Pal, that's her because the height of
- 7:17Speaker 1: her conspiracy theory and theories there when you look at Juliani.
- 7:21Speaker 1: But when I discovered the most that shocked me. We've
- 7:24Speaker 1: always heard of our voter suppression. This was voter suppression
- 7:28Speaker 1: at his legally finest at the highest level from the president.
- 7:33Speaker 1: That's what really took me aback so much. I went, wow,
- 7:38Speaker 1: he actually recorded that phone call, no telling what he
- 7:41Speaker 1: did when the guys when he flew to people up
- 7:43Speaker 1: from Michigan, what he told them, because that was not
- 7:45Speaker 1: recording and release. I'm pretty sure that conversation was very
- 7:48Speaker 1: similar don't you the elections from Michigan, of course, and
- 7:51Speaker 1: then they were, you know, all at this hotel afterwards,
- 7:53Speaker 1: having drinks and whatever, and I'm sure that they were
- 7:55Speaker 1: very happy about being UH in the Oval office. And
- 7:58Speaker 1: there was even I think one or maybe too if
- 8:01Speaker 1: if I'm correct me if I'm wrong, among them who
- 8:03Speaker 1: UM at some point was not going to do it
- 8:06Speaker 1: and then did it, like when it was not going
- 8:08Speaker 1: to certify the election in UH in their county, and
- 8:13Speaker 1: then decided to do it and then express remorse about
- 8:16Speaker 1: the regret about actually doing it. So in some ways
- 8:19Speaker 1: they did go along with him, but it was too late.
- 8:21Speaker 1: It had already been signed and certified. So yeah, for
- 8:25Speaker 1: all of that is just the brazenness and the entitlement.
- 8:28Speaker 1: And then of course we can do whatever we want.
- 8:32Speaker 1: We can do whatever we want. Can't you find me
- 8:34Speaker 1: the votes were all on the same team. That's exactly
- 8:36Speaker 1: what happened on Wednesday. We can do whatever we want.
- 8:39Speaker 1: This is our house, we own this, You work for us,
- 8:42Speaker 1: and we're taking this over entitlement. That's what that is.
- 8:46Speaker 1: And quite frankly, it's also white supremacy, especially what happened
- 8:51Speaker 1: on Wednesday. We are the people who this country was
- 8:55Speaker 1: built around. Therefore we can do with it whatever we want. Yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna. I didn't see it play out. I was
- 9:01Speaker 1: with my staff for meetings, tied up, and my wife
- 9:05Speaker 1: text me said, Rashan, they're rushing the capitol. And I
- 9:08Speaker 1: didn't know she was talking about Georgia because in my
- 9:10Speaker 1: mind I couldn't believe when she's capital she was referencing
- 9:14Speaker 1: d C. You actually saw it play it play itself out.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Just walk through you just can you walk through your
- 9:20Speaker 1: steps in your mind watching this playout? What was running
- 9:24Speaker 1: through your mind? The unbelievable procedures to process, and then
- 9:28Speaker 1: days later talking about I'm talking about when you when
- 9:32Speaker 1: they we know, when Donald Trump said go down there
- 9:35Speaker 1: and you got to take this country with force. Well,
- 9:38Speaker 1: I was watching it UM live and but you know,
- 9:41Speaker 1: before I went in and I said my my My
- 9:44Speaker 1: thought was will this is really dangerous and then UM
- 9:47Speaker 1: I sent a note to my boss saying it's really
- 9:50Speaker 1: interesting to watch. In the same moment, Biden was announcing,
- 9:55Speaker 1: you know, one of his um nominees. I forget, maybe
- 9:58Speaker 1: it was attorney general. Together he was talking about who
- 10:01Speaker 1: he was going to nominate for a position, how he
- 10:03Speaker 1: was going to roll up the vaccine, what he was
- 10:05Speaker 1: gonna have to do to get the economy back on track.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And here you had a sitting president airing grievance is
- 10:11Speaker 1: publicly about an election being stolen, and um, what you
- 10:16Speaker 1: needed to do and don't and and fight and tell
- 10:18Speaker 1: basically telling people to go backwards, or to be stagnant,
- 10:22Speaker 1: or take your take your country back and go back
- 10:26Speaker 1: to the past. And then you had a president electroyning
- 10:28Speaker 1: to pull the country into the future. And I just said,
- 10:31Speaker 1: this man is the past. It's over. And he doesn't
- 10:34Speaker 1: realize that he's whipping these people up. What he's doing
- 10:36Speaker 1: is very dangerous, dangerous. And then they started voting on
- 10:40Speaker 1: the thing. And no, not sooner than they started voting,
- 10:44Speaker 1: I started seeing they started putting up. We started getting
- 10:47Speaker 1: notes about there were people in the capitol and that
- 10:49Speaker 1: it was getting violent. And I said, and here we go.
- 10:52Speaker 1: This is exactly what he wanted. It was. I I
- 10:56Speaker 1: sat there Rashaan watching it play out, and I was
- 11:00Speaker 1: just you know, just sort of watching it in awe. Oh,
- 11:03Speaker 1: that's the best word. I wasn't shocked. It wasn't it
- 11:06Speaker 1: was it was shocking. That they were allowing that the
- 11:09Speaker 1: Capitol Police were allowing them to get as far as
- 11:11Speaker 1: they were getting. But I wasn't surprised that it was happening,
- 11:15Speaker 1: because that's what we have been warning people of all along.
- 11:18Speaker 1: That's what he has been signaling signaling to all along,
- 11:21Speaker 1: is some sort of insurrection and fighting that when you
- 11:24Speaker 1: say fight, stand up, be strong, all those things, and
- 11:27Speaker 1: what does that? What does that do? You're whipping up
- 11:29Speaker 1: a crowd. So I wasn't surprised that it happened. But
- 11:32Speaker 1: when you see it play itself out and you see
- 11:35Speaker 1: the facts starting to roll in, you start seeing the backstore.
- 11:38Speaker 1: What is the most shocking information has been delivered to
- 11:41Speaker 1: you that you've had this talk about since you see
- 11:43Speaker 1: the see more detail from the FBI for internal security.
- 11:47Speaker 1: What is shocking you the most about that insurrection moment?
- 11:51Speaker 1: It was it's again, I'm not shocked, But I think
- 11:54Speaker 1: what's the most interesting is the coordination UM. And it's
- 11:58Speaker 1: not surprising that there may have been people there who
- 12:00Speaker 1: are working with them, including members of security, including security members,
- 12:04Speaker 1: whether that's police officers, Capital police or private security there.
- 12:08Speaker 1: That's not surprising because law enforcement UM, it is documented,
- 12:13Speaker 1: has ties to um to white nationalist groups, right, And
- 12:18Speaker 1: so I'm not even the head of the FBI said
- 12:22Speaker 1: the other day that we're going to be surprised to
- 12:23Speaker 1: see the things that come out. They are investigating police
- 12:26Speaker 1: officers from from the capital, and they're investigating police officers
- 12:30Speaker 1: from around the country, as well as firefighters as well
- 12:33Speaker 1: as members of the military. So I'm not surprised that
- 12:36Speaker 1: with any militia group that there's that element, and even
- 12:40Speaker 1: outside of that, even policing, that that element is drawn
- 12:44Speaker 1: to that. Now, listen, I know that you know, we
- 12:47Speaker 1: always say not all that, not all police officers are
- 12:50Speaker 1: bad police officers. Certainly they're not, and I'm not talking
- 12:52Speaker 1: about that, and I'm not talking about the brave men
- 12:55Speaker 1: and women who put their lives on the line at
- 12:57Speaker 1: the capitol of that day. That was certainly some heroism
- 13:00Speaker 1: going on, Right. It should be concerning to any of us,
- 13:05Speaker 1: to all of us, that there are members of the
- 13:08Speaker 1: security forces who have been we are being investigated or
- 13:12Speaker 1: at least suspected of possibly participating. It's finally here the
- 13:17Speaker 1: season of celebration, and no matter how you celebrate with

- 15:11Speaker 1: E R dot ai. And that's what scares me the
- 15:15Speaker 1: most when you when you look a look at what
- 15:17Speaker 1: is happening right now and leading up to what should
- 15:20Speaker 1: be a historical moment. We're talking about Kamala Harris being
- 15:25Speaker 1: officially vice president of this country, and then we it's
- 15:29Speaker 1: the several days after the celebration of Dr Martin Luther
- 15:33Speaker 1: King's birthday. It seems so timely. It seems like black
- 15:37Speaker 1: people should be celebrated, should we be celebrating this moment.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Should the country be celebrating as the moment or should
- 15:41Speaker 1: we be just taking a deep breath and say, what's
- 15:44Speaker 1: the future gonna hold? We're not. We don't know because
- 15:46Speaker 1: of Donald Trump. I think we should be in this
- 15:49Speaker 1: moment optimistic UM, but UM careful because we don't know
- 15:57Speaker 1: what's gonna come. And I think that there will be
- 16:00Speaker 1: a moment to celebrate. And it ain't over till it's over.
- 16:04Speaker 1: So I think when UM the oath of office is
- 16:07Speaker 1: given UM, this incoming president starts working on his agenda
- 16:15Speaker 1: as it relates to the country, as it relates to
- 16:17Speaker 1: people of color, as it relates to getting the people
- 16:19Speaker 1: back to work, and as it relates to UH, to
- 16:22Speaker 1: ridding the nation and helping rid the world of a pandemic,
- 16:26Speaker 1: I think then we can start to celebrate. So I
- 16:29Speaker 1: think we should be optimistic right now. We should be
- 16:33Speaker 1: happy that the country is moving in the right direction,
- 16:36Speaker 1: moving away from UM, white nationalism, hopefully white supremacy hopefully
- 16:42Speaker 1: UM and just dark forces that have been among us
- 16:46Speaker 1: UH and running this country for such a long time.
- 16:48Speaker 1: So there's there's gonna be a time to celebrate. And
- 16:53Speaker 1: I hope that time is soon. Well we were when
- 16:56Speaker 1: you talk about celebration and now celebration open the teen
- 17:00Speaker 1: steal out there raging. There's no plan, there's a there's
- 17:04Speaker 1: two plans out there. There's the before you go to COVID. Man,
- 17:08Speaker 1: that suit is bad. I'm sitting here looking like man,
- 17:14Speaker 1: I could rock that on my show. Well, I would
- 17:17Speaker 1: tell you something. Um, you could, because you're you're fair
- 17:21Speaker 1: a dresser yourself by friend, Come on, now, you know
- 17:24Speaker 1: the reality is that when I watch you a TV
- 17:26Speaker 1: on at ten o'clock at night following uh cuomo uh
- 17:31Speaker 1: you guys are act together, my friend, I wish I
- 17:34Speaker 1: missed my big studio where I could actually because you know,
- 17:36Speaker 1: I like to dress nicely, especially on television, and so
- 17:39Speaker 1: in the big studio, you know, you had the Jim
- 17:40Speaker 1: camera swinging around you, and you had so you could
- 17:44Speaker 1: see your whole suitent so I would dress you just
- 17:48Speaker 1: now this is all you see it. That's it, that's it.
- 17:54Speaker 1: That's but. But but when when you're talking, you know,
- 17:57Speaker 1: you you know, like, let's go to other shows. They
- 18:00Speaker 1: show more. I see, uh, I see my man less
- 18:03Speaker 1: the hope he's standing. Sometimes I get to see you know,
- 18:06Speaker 1: you see way more of David Murror and then you
- 18:09Speaker 1: I get to see probably the shoulders to the top
- 18:12Speaker 1: of your head. Right, So I try to do a
- 18:15Speaker 1: good tie, good pockets, wearing a good jacket. But sorry,
- 18:18Speaker 1: you were talking about something really important and that's UH life.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And I think that levity has to be brought into
- 18:24Speaker 1: because there are people out there who refused to live
- 18:26Speaker 1: in their homes because of COVID. They've changed their lifestyle.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Everything is one of my and my wife is like
- 18:32Speaker 1: that too because of the fact she just doesn't feel safe.
- 18:36Speaker 1: And I see Operation wolf Speed. I'm gonna ask you
- 18:39Speaker 1: this question here, don Okay, he was holding back some
- 18:43Speaker 1: of the vaccine for the second past is for and
- 18:47Speaker 1: I believe he is right. Bad Biden is saying, you know,
- 18:50Speaker 1: vaccinated everybody, vaccinated everybody. I believe that's the right policy
- 18:55Speaker 1: to approach to take. And we just you're not talking.
- 18:58Speaker 1: We can't make any of these decisions. I'm just thinking,
- 19:00Speaker 1: how I think the more people you get vaccinated, the
- 19:03Speaker 1: more people can get comfortable and start circulating and moving
- 19:06Speaker 1: around this country. Yeah, you're right, And then um, because
- 19:11Speaker 1: when you hold some of it back and some of
- 19:13Speaker 1: it goes bad. We've learned, right, and so it's better
- 19:15Speaker 1: to get it in in in somebody's arm rather than
- 19:19Speaker 1: having it go bad. But the odd thing, it's not
- 19:23Speaker 1: even odd, the fact that the matter of Rashan is
- 19:26Speaker 1: that the dunes say odd, it's awful. I was just
- 19:29Speaker 1: talking UM to someone who's saying, my my family, my
- 19:33Speaker 1: fiance saying, my family, his mom and dad can't even go.
- 19:37Speaker 1: You can't find the vaccine where they are. And they
- 19:39Speaker 1: are over the age of seventy five and they are
- 19:41Speaker 1: eligible and it's but they can't find it in their town.
- 19:45Speaker 1: My mom is over the age of seventy five and
- 19:47Speaker 1: it is available in her town, but she can't get
- 19:49Speaker 1: it because either because they haven't reached out, or they
- 19:53Speaker 1: are the you know, the contact information, or just something.
- 19:57Speaker 1: The rollout on this has been horrific. It's been terrible.
- 20:01Speaker 1: They have been losing vials, they have been not been
- 20:03Speaker 1: using it, they've been opening vials, and then people come
- 20:06Speaker 1: in at the end of the day they're like, oh,
- 20:07Speaker 1: we still have so many left in the bowl running
- 20:09Speaker 1: who wants a vaccine and they and they, you know,
- 20:12Speaker 1: sticking in people's arms who may not necessarily be UM Uh,
- 20:16Speaker 1: in you know, in the age range to get it now.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But I think that they should do that rather than
- 20:21Speaker 1: waste the vaccine. So I think you're right. Get it
- 20:24Speaker 1: in everybody's arm as many people as possible at this point. Uh.
- 20:29Speaker 1: And that way you start to develop this a real
- 20:31Speaker 1: herd immunity, not the fake one that they talked about before.
- 20:36Speaker 1: You are in a position to talk to us every night.
- 20:39Speaker 1: It's your opinion in some ways is fact a point
- 20:42Speaker 1: of view. It's always based on fact. You know, what
- 20:48Speaker 1: are you because there's a lot of sad news. It's
- 20:51Speaker 1: sad news. When we looked at what happened to George Floyd,
- 20:54Speaker 1: we look at COVID, those numbers just keep going up.
- 20:56Speaker 1: You look at the lives being played out by dollar Trump,
- 20:59Speaker 1: the whole third in four quarter this year, you saw
- 21:02Speaker 1: the insurrection. How do you feel? What motivates you? I
- 21:05Speaker 1: guess I want the question I want to ask to
- 21:07Speaker 1: feel good about America? What motivates me to feel considering
- 21:12Speaker 1: everything that's going on, that you and I could sit
- 21:15Speaker 1: here and talk freely like this, that you and I
- 21:19Speaker 1: have the opportunity to do what we do. UM that UM,
- 21:24Speaker 1: there are people here who support us, and that there
- 21:26Speaker 1: are laws that are in place that can um that
- 21:31Speaker 1: provide us with opportunities. You can't necessarily change people's hearts
- 21:36Speaker 1: in their minds, but you can certainly change their behavior
- 21:38Speaker 1: through laws. And we have the laws in place in
- 21:40Speaker 1: this country. And I think that America is it is
- 21:43Speaker 1: the land of opportunity. And so while we have all
- 21:46Speaker 1: of these forces who are trying to stop us from
- 21:48Speaker 1: doing things, we have all the craziness that's going on
- 21:50Speaker 1: in the country, if there is still a way for
- 21:53Speaker 1: you to succeed in this country doesn't mean that you're
- 21:56Speaker 1: not going to be discriminated against. It doesn't mean that
- 21:58Speaker 1: you don't know that there's racist them in, bigotry and
- 22:00Speaker 1: all that and all kinds of phobia, homophobia, all kinds
- 22:04Speaker 1: of things that are out there. But within when you
- 22:07Speaker 1: consider the world, I think this is um the best place,
- 22:14Speaker 1: are one of the best places on earth to have
- 22:16Speaker 1: opportunity as a person of color. And so that's what
- 22:19Speaker 1: keeps me going. But it also keeps me going that
- 22:22Speaker 1: I love this country and I want I want, I
- 22:24Speaker 1: wanted to be better. And part of loving this country
- 22:27Speaker 1: and wanting it to be better is being able to
- 22:29Speaker 1: criticize it, and that's what the First Amendment is all about.
- 22:32Speaker 1: My job is protected by the First Amendment. So in
- 22:36Speaker 1: my mouth and my words are protected by the First Amendment.
- 22:40Speaker 1: And so that's the only way that they're going to
- 22:41Speaker 1: get changed, that you're going to get changed, is by exercising, um,
- 22:45Speaker 1: that right, those rights that come under the First Amendment.
- 22:49Speaker 1: So as someone who is a big mouth, someone who's curious,
- 22:52Speaker 1: someone who loves to get their point of view, and
- 22:54Speaker 1: even at times when I'm not on sitting to give
- 22:56Speaker 1: my opinion, then there's no other place on earth that
- 22:59Speaker 1: I other be than here. That's what keeps me going. Well,
- 23:02Speaker 1: your point of view. I had a lot of fun
- 23:04Speaker 1: watching this week when um, when it was stated that
- 23:08Speaker 1: Donald Trump was the most masculine person there over the
- 23:10Speaker 1: whole Why uh, why are you start? You know, you're
- 23:18Speaker 1: stirring it up. That's my last question down, I said,
- 23:23Speaker 1: haven't saying this for the end either. You're gonna answer,
- 23:25Speaker 1: but you owe Fox more. You won't see ann that
- 23:28Speaker 1: week they were showing you every tuck a call to
- 23:32Speaker 1: ad you lord Ingram Sean Hannity, I said, is he
- 23:35Speaker 1: on Fox now? Senn? But that was the funniest thing. Man.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I laughed so hard at you the whole week, And
- 23:42Speaker 1: sometimes that levity is necessary these times, the trying time.
- 23:46Speaker 1: But boy, you went off, man, you went off. Done.
- 23:50Speaker 1: It was such an odd answer because because people feel
- 23:53Speaker 1: like they've got to um constantly praise I's gonna say,
- 23:59Speaker 1: you know, kiss what, but I feel like they have
- 24:01Speaker 1: to constantly praise this man and stroke his ego. Um.
- 24:05Speaker 1: And the question was do you think by being on
- 24:07Speaker 1: social media that that emasculate him, which means you know,
- 24:11Speaker 1: that did that in in some way, um subdue him
- 24:16Speaker 1: or steal his thunder or or you know that sort
- 24:18Speaker 1: of thing. Instead of was like, oh, he's the most masculine,
- 24:21Speaker 1: It's like that's not really you know, I know he
- 24:24Speaker 1: said emasculate, but that's not really where he was going
- 24:26Speaker 1: with that question. And for you to sit there and
- 24:29Speaker 1: like he's the most masculin, it's like shut up, like
- 24:32Speaker 1: shut just stop it. Stop being ridiculous, because that's what
- 24:37Speaker 1: got us into this mess in the first places. But
- 24:42Speaker 1: I want to tell you, I'm gonna tell I'm done.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I like, I'm laughing that because I know you're very serious.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I know you're very focused. But you're exactly right. When
- 24:52Speaker 1: you miss here something and then you stated so badly
- 24:55Speaker 1: in the wrong direction, you have to comment the way
- 24:58Speaker 1: you commented, and it just brought great levity. Is a
- 25:01Speaker 1: lot of truth to what we saw. But they I'm
- 25:04Speaker 1: glad you said truth because again I try to everything
- 25:06Speaker 1: I say is based in fact. Because and also part
- 25:09Speaker 1: of that is what people at home are feeling. They're
- 25:12Speaker 1: tired of this, of the double speak of the you know,
- 25:15Speaker 1: all of the praising of the leader and that sort
- 25:17Speaker 1: of thing. That's not what America is. Um. And certainly
- 25:20Speaker 1: you can work for someone and yet be critical of
- 25:23Speaker 1: them constructively, so um, you know, or give an honest answer.
- 25:28Speaker 1: So hopefully I was speaking for the people at home,
- 25:29Speaker 1: because I had no idea that I was going to
- 25:31Speaker 1: resonate that way. I was just I was just in
- 25:33Speaker 1: my feelings and at that moment and stating how you know,
- 25:37Speaker 1: how I felt, and how I felt the audience felt
- 25:40Speaker 1: well done. That's why I love you. That's why you
- 25:42Speaker 1: know I go to You know, I get up every
- 25:44Speaker 1: day at four am. You keep me up to eleven
- 25:46Speaker 1: o'clock every night. So I blame you for that. But
- 25:50Speaker 1: I'm not happy because man, you your gift, man, your
- 25:53Speaker 1: gift to us all. I've seen your growth. I'm so
- 25:56Speaker 1: proud that I have a I have an African American
- 25:58Speaker 1: I can look up to that speaks my speak, that
- 26:01Speaker 1: understands my situation, but tells the story for the people.
- 26:04Speaker 1: And that's the difference. You're still speaking for the people.
- 26:08Speaker 1: And don't change. Please, And I know you won't, but please,
- 26:10Speaker 1: my brother, You're special and keep doing what you're doing.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Ra Sean, thank you so much, and I'm so proud
