- 0:15Speaker 1: Black a million bus buss boozy.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Yeah, listening to to.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I want to joy?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Yeah, Joy, you got to do that?
- 1:05Speaker 5: You love?
- 1:06Speaker 6: You gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I got to turn out turn.
- 1:43Speaker 7: I probably got to turn out turn A wad of
- 1:47Speaker 7: the money up looking.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come out you're th.
- 2:01Speaker 8: Uhuh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are listening
- 2:06Speaker 8: to the voice? Come on dig me now, one and
- 2:08Speaker 8: only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, oh man,
- 2:12Speaker 8: oh man? How good is God to me? And part
- 2:16Speaker 8: of the mission and the reason that I have a
- 2:19Speaker 8: radio show is to become a share of more and
- 2:23Speaker 8: more of a share of you know. I used to
- 2:26Speaker 8: hear my mother say it to me all the time.
- 2:28Speaker 8: But God blesses you to become a blessing. And I
- 2:31Speaker 8: think the more you understand that about yourself, I think
- 2:34Speaker 8: the more blessings will flow your way. I think that
- 2:37Speaker 8: once you understand the principle.
- 2:40Speaker 9: That.
- 2:41Speaker 2: You know it.
- 2:42Speaker 8: But it's kind of tied together with some other scriptures,
- 2:45Speaker 8: and I'm not too knowledgeable about them, of course, as usual,
- 2:48Speaker 8: but I do know what I've heard you know, and
- 2:52Speaker 8: you know if you look at something simple as do
- 2:54Speaker 8: unto others as you would have them do unto you,
- 2:58Speaker 8: wouldn't you want somebody to help you if you needed help.
- 3:02Speaker 8: I just know how to get it down there to
- 3:04Speaker 8: where I've been able to understand it. If there's a
- 3:08Speaker 8: scripture similar that it says do unto others as you
- 3:12Speaker 8: would have them do unto you, or if that's you
- 3:17Speaker 8: know in a prayer, would not you want somebody to
- 3:21Speaker 8: help you if you needed help? You've heard you reap
- 3:27Speaker 8: what you sow. Do you understand that if you so discord,
- 3:33Speaker 8: that discord is gonna come your way. That if you hate,
- 3:37Speaker 8: hate gonna come your way. If you blog nothing but
- 3:41Speaker 8: negative comments about people, your life will be filled with negativity.
- 3:46Speaker 8: If all you do is talk about people, then guess
- 3:49Speaker 8: what somebody got to turn that gun around and talk
- 3:51Speaker 8: about you.
- 3:54Speaker 2: See, it just stands to reason.
- 3:56Speaker 8: So what I've learned in my life and through all
- 3:59Speaker 8: the trials and tribulations that I've had, is to take
- 4:03Speaker 8: those lessons and share them with people in case you
- 4:07Speaker 8: ain't heard it from somebody else. See sometimes and the
- 4:11Speaker 8: reason it seems like I'm redundant at times, is which
- 4:15Speaker 8: I am, is because I'm always trying to find a
- 4:18Speaker 8: different way to say the same thing. Because it's a
- 4:21Speaker 8: funny thing. Man, you got to hear it a certain
- 4:24Speaker 8: way for it to click with you. How many times
- 4:29Speaker 8: have I heard a saying and then I heard it
- 4:33Speaker 8: a different way that it clicked with me.
- 4:38Speaker 2: You know, I've.
- 4:38Speaker 8: Heard this saying right here. Remember this now, everybody's not
- 4:43Speaker 8: happy for you. We've all heard that, right everybody's not
- 4:46Speaker 8: happy for you. Well, that's very simple. I don't need
- 4:51Speaker 8: no explanation. That simply means of all the people you
- 4:55Speaker 8: know or do not know, when something happens to you
- 4:59Speaker 8: and you celeb everybody not gonna join in on the celebration.
- 5:04Speaker 8: That's all that is. But then you take it one
- 5:07Speaker 8: step further. My father used to say something to me
- 5:09Speaker 8: all the time. He said, son, everybody come with you
- 5:11Speaker 8: can't go with you. I didn't get that when I
- 5:14Speaker 8: was fifteen. Everybody come with you can't go with you.
- 5:17Speaker 8: He said, you're gonna lose some of these friends you
- 5:19Speaker 8: got along the way. But I don't care where you
- 5:22Speaker 8: get in life. Know this right here, everybody can't go
- 5:26Speaker 8: with you. If you are constantly trying to improve yourself,
- 5:30Speaker 8: you constantly have to take assessment of the people around you.
- 5:34Speaker 8: Because if you are going to continue to go and
- 5:37Speaker 8: continue to grow, then guess what you got to have
- 5:40Speaker 8: people that's on the go and willing to grow, or else.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Guess what.
- 5:46Speaker 8: You're gonna learn the valuable lesson. You know, the late
- 5:49Speaker 8: boxing promoter Butcher Lewis. I was talking with Butcher Lewis
- 5:53Speaker 8: one time, and man with a good brother man, he say,
- 5:57Speaker 8: every successful man is what I call He got rope
- 6:01Speaker 8: work to do. He got rope work to do. He
- 6:05Speaker 8: got to put in work on rope. And I'm sitting
- 6:08Speaker 8: there listening to Butch Lewis and all the money he
- 6:11Speaker 8: had made and all the people's lives he had changed,
- 6:13Speaker 8: and all of the moves he was making. And he's
- 6:15Speaker 8: an incredible skills as a negotiator on behalf of some
- 6:19Speaker 8: very very wealthy people. He was just an amazing man
- 6:23Speaker 8: with no education, but he read everything. He Butch Lewis
- 6:26Speaker 8: read all the papers, all the periodicals. That brother knew everything.
- 6:31Speaker 8: He said, you got to put in rope. And I
- 6:34Speaker 8: was sitting there listening. He said, here's the analogy, little brother.
- 6:37Speaker 8: He said, you are on rope. There's a thick rope.
- 6:41Speaker 8: You have on no shirt, you have on some tattered clothes.
- 6:46Speaker 8: You have on no shoes. Your shorts is cut off
- 6:49Speaker 8: just below the knee, and they tatted, and you got
- 6:52Speaker 8: dirt on you and your sweating. There's this huge, huge
- 6:56Speaker 8: raw rope over your shoulder. There's burn marks on all
- 7:00Speaker 8: of your shoulder. Connected to that rope is a wagon.
- 7:04Speaker 8: That wagon has all your weight on it, all your responsibilities,
- 7:09Speaker 8: all the people you're responsible for, all your children, your wife,
- 7:14Speaker 8: your family members, your employees, your coworkers, your friends.
- 7:19Speaker 2: They're all on that wagon. Man.
- 7:21Speaker 8: They just sitting there. He's saying, what you gotta do
- 7:24Speaker 8: is you gotta pull that wagon.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Up the heel. Now.
- 7:27Speaker 8: The only thing with it is can't nobody help you
- 7:30Speaker 8: pull your wagon.
- 7:31Speaker 2: You pull your wagon alone. He say.
- 7:34Speaker 8: Now, what you can do along the way of pulling
- 7:37Speaker 8: your wagon is you can find yourself a good wife,
- 7:40Speaker 8: a good woman. He say, Now, what that woman does
- 7:43Speaker 8: is she get down off the wagon. She fan you
- 7:46Speaker 8: while you pull it. She put water on you while
- 7:48Speaker 8: you pull it. She puts stuff in your mouth while
- 7:51Speaker 8: you pull it. She kicked rocks out the weight while
- 7:53Speaker 8: you pull it. But she but she.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Pull it for you.
- 7:56Speaker 8: But she is equally as important as you are on
- 7:59Speaker 8: the pull the rope. He say, you hear me clearly now,
- 8:02Speaker 8: young soldier, He said, nah, I got this here, he says,
- 8:05Speaker 8: people on your wagon that you're responsible for. But you
- 8:09Speaker 8: want the people on your wagon to help you get
- 8:12Speaker 8: your wagon to the top. So what you hope is
- 8:15Speaker 8: that they got their foot hanging over the side pushing,
- 8:18Speaker 8: They got one leg over the back, or maybe both
- 8:21Speaker 8: legs over the back pushing. They got they might have
- 8:24Speaker 8: their butt on the wagon, but they push you with
- 8:26Speaker 8: both legs. They back facing your back, maybe some of
- 8:29Speaker 8: them facing you when one of them got.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Left leg hanging over trying to push.
- 8:33Speaker 8: And you hope that all them people on the wagon
- 8:36Speaker 8: you pulling is back there at least trying to help
- 8:38Speaker 8: the wagon get to the top of the hill.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Here go your problem.
- 8:41Speaker 8: Though everybody ain't pushing, Everybody ain't pulling, ain't everybody ain't pulling,
- 8:47Speaker 8: Everybody ain't kicking rocks out the way. You got some
- 8:50Speaker 8: people on your wagon that's just laying on the wagon,
- 8:53Speaker 8: drinking lemonade, looking at you, talking about how long it's
- 8:57Speaker 8: taking you to get your wagon up to the top,
- 9:00Speaker 8: looking at you, talking about why this wagon so slow?
- 9:03Speaker 8: Then when you start picking up picking up speed, they
- 9:06Speaker 8: want you to pull harder, you to pull faster, you
- 9:09Speaker 8: to pull MO. Then they want you to throw what
- 9:11Speaker 8: you then earned on the way up the hill backed
- 9:14Speaker 8: on the wagon so they can have MO.
- 9:16Speaker 2: But guess what, they ain't helping you get more.
- 9:18Speaker 8: But they got a sense of entitlement that since you
- 9:21Speaker 8: got MO, they should have MO.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Everybody come with you can't go with you.
- 9:26Speaker 8: Sometimes you gotta kick the people off the wagon that
- 9:29Speaker 8: ain't pushing and pull it and say, hey, man, I'm sorry.
- 9:32Speaker 8: I thought I could do this with you, and I
- 9:34Speaker 8: thought you was going with me. But it's clear to
- 9:36Speaker 8: me you ain't nothing but dead weight.
- 9:38Speaker 2: And it ain't my.
- 9:39Speaker 8: Responsibility to carry dead weight anymore. I have carried you
- 9:43Speaker 8: as long as I have to carry you. You are
- 9:45Speaker 8: no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible for my family, my wife,
- 9:50Speaker 8: my children. I'm not responsible for you. You got to
- 9:52Speaker 8: get off my wagon because I'm a man on rope.
- 9:55Speaker 8: I'm on a mission, baby, I'm pulling.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your attention, please, just
- 10:08Speaker 8: for a moment, and then you can go back to
- 10:10Speaker 8: whatever you was doing. You know today, I don't I
- 10:14Speaker 8: want you to think about this now. Today is a gift.
- 10:18Speaker 8: That's why they call it the present. The present. We
- 10:22Speaker 8: are in the present. This is a gift from God.
- 10:27Speaker 8: You get this gift every day. It's the present. Just
- 10:32Speaker 8: look at it that way. I just want everybody please
- 10:35Speaker 8: don't ever wake up without showing gratitude. It's just some
- 10:41Speaker 8: basic principle of success. If you show God gratitude that
- 10:46Speaker 8: you are grateful, the more things you are grateful for,
- 10:50Speaker 8: the more God will give you to be grateful for.
- 10:54Speaker 8: That's a principle of success that's very rarely taught.
- 10:58Speaker 2: If you can master that, when y'all you could change
- 11:00Speaker 2: your flavor, you could change your whole flavor.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Man.
- 11:03Speaker 8: Yeah, like today I'm doing great. I ain't done grape

- 35:50Speaker 4: all right, congratulations moving on, Well, not only was President
- 35:54Speaker 4: Trump's name removed from the Kennedy Center. But remember that
- 35:58Speaker 4: a federal judge order the Trump administration to restore exhibits
- 36:03Speaker 4: and signs regarding slavery and climate change that have been
- 36:06Speaker 4: removed from national parks and monuments. The court injunction mandates
- 36:11Speaker 4: that the government reinstall these displays within twenty one days,
- 36:15Speaker 4: which is July fourth. The judge explicitly tied this twenty
- 36:20Speaker 4: one day timeline to the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary
- 36:23Speaker 4: of the United States to properly honor American history and
- 36:27Speaker 4: prevent the censorship of historical truth, which they have been

- 36:50Speaker 8: a racist administration.
- 36:52Speaker 2: You don't see that.
- 36:53Speaker 8: The only way you don't see it is is if
- 36:55Speaker 8: you are the other racists.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Oh there you go, there you.
- 36:59Speaker 4: Go see to drop the jewels and the knowledge. All right,

- 43:10Speaker 8: Woods Villa, the Phil Michilson Villa, the Bubba Wasatsing Vi,
- 43:15Speaker 8: Jack Nicholas, Arnold Palmer villas. You could get the villains
- 43:18Speaker 8: when you walk in. It's all hotel rooms in each
- 43:21Speaker 8: villa and nothing but pictures of that particular golfer on
- 43:24Speaker 8: every single wall. I stayed in the tiger Woods VIP suite.
- 43:29Speaker 8: What the baddest pro shop I've ever seen where Miami

- 43:41Speaker 2: Ain't been down the Sinsky head they might see me.
- 43:48Speaker 4: Oh the grinder, it grinds down the marijuana in to small,
- 43:53Speaker 4: consistent pieces for a smoother, more flavorful smoke and less waste.

- 44:17Speaker 8: There's two groups that make me sick when I hear them.
- 44:22Speaker 8: Latinos for Trump and Blacks for Trump. What is wrong
- 44:26Speaker 8: with either one of y'all?
- 44:28Speaker 2: Stupid?
- 44:29Speaker 8: Are you kidding me? Do you even understand what this man?
- 44:33Speaker 8: He cares nothing about you? And they're proving it over
- 44:36Speaker 8: and over and over again. Ice is for people of color.
- 44:40Speaker 8: They ain't arrested nobody from Poland and Czechoslovakia coming over here.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Ain't nobody from a tag Italy getting picked up.
- 44:47Speaker 8: They picking up Patians, Cubans, They're picking up Latinos, all

- 45:33Speaker 1: Oh talking about I'm forever first lady.
- 45:37Speaker 2: And so you you you you think it's you.
- 45:40Speaker 8: You you're okay with him putting the monkey eight mean
- 45:44Speaker 8: of the Obama's up. So you're cool with the fact
- 45:48Speaker 8: that when you look at his administration, this is the
- 45:51Speaker 8: first time in years you've seen a complete cabinet and
- 45:56Speaker 8: nobody black. Now you can put a little dude in

- 56:53Speaker 1: All right, nephew, thank you. Subject.
- 56:55Speaker 4: I'm going over there anyway. Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been
- 56:59Speaker 4: dating a man that told me he was going through
- 57:02Speaker 4: a divorce. He separated from his wife, and he is
- 57:05Speaker 4: living in the home he shared with his wife. She
- 57:09Speaker 4: moved out, so he was in a big empty home
- 57:12Speaker 4: when I met him. I helped him pick out a
- 57:15Speaker 4: bed and a mattress that was to my liking. I
- 57:18Speaker 4: bought him sheets and towels and a set of cook
- 57:21Speaker 4: wear because he loves cooking for me. I spent so
- 57:24Speaker 4: much time in that house with him, helping him rebuild
- 57:27Speaker 4: his life after his wife cheated on him.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Two weeks ago.
- 57:31Speaker 4: He told me that his pastor told him that he
- 57:34Speaker 4: should work on his marriage instead of working on a divorce.
- 57:38Speaker 4: I told him to follow his heart, but I reminded
- 57:40Speaker 4: him that his wife cheated on him several times in
- 57:44Speaker 4: his house. He said, to please his pastor, he was
- 57:48Speaker 4: going to talk to his wife and hear her out,
- 57:50Speaker 4: but he was still going through with a divorce. I
- 57:53Speaker 4: did not know that he let her come over to
- 57:56Speaker 4: his house to talk. I assumed they'd be meeting up
- 57:59Speaker 4: somewhere in public. I was very upset, and I let
- 58:03Speaker 4: him know it. He told me to chill out, let
- 58:05Speaker 4: him deal with his mess so he and I can
- 58:08Speaker 4: be together. Instead of chilling out, I'm fighting for my man.
- 58:12Speaker 4: I popped up at his house and he took his
- 58:14Speaker 4: key away from me. I won't allow his wife to
- 58:17Speaker 4: sit on furniture I picked out and take back the
- 58:20Speaker 4: man that I've been fixing up for the last eight months.
- 58:23Speaker 4: I'm going over there anyway, whether he lets.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Me in or not.
- 58:28Speaker 4: I want to be sure he lets his wife know
- 58:31Speaker 4: about me. Why is he entertaining this mess? Uh ma'am?
- 58:37Speaker 2: Wow?
- 58:37Speaker 4: You need you need to sit down somewhere. Okay, you
- 58:40Speaker 4: need to have a seat. Why won't you just chill
- 58:43Speaker 4: out like he asked you so he can handle his
- 58:45Speaker 4: mess and go through with the divorce. You're doing all
- 58:48Speaker 4: of this because you bought and picked out a few
- 58:51Speaker 4: things for his house, some cookwaar and sheets and stuff.
- 58:54Speaker 4: That this is not your man yet if it ever
- 58:57Speaker 4: will be, And as long as he's still married, he
- 59:01Speaker 4: is not your man. You're fighting for some other woman's husband.
- 59:05Speaker 4: That's what you're doing because they're still married. He's trying
- 59:09Speaker 4: to work on his marriage and you have no rights here.
- 59:12Speaker 4: The best advice I can give you is to just
- 59:14Speaker 4: stop acting so desperate. Let this go, Let him go
- 59:19Speaker 4: until he's completely divorced. Okay, worry about yourself right now.
- 59:25Speaker 4: You need to learn from this what's going on when
- 59:28Speaker 4: they're still married. There's always a chance that the men
- 59:31Speaker 4: will go back to their wives.
- 59:33Speaker 1: There's always that chance.
- 59:34Speaker 4: So it's better just to wake this out until he's
- 59:37Speaker 4: free and clear.
- 59:39Speaker 3: Steve, you know.
- 59:41Speaker 8: Something said Shirley has done her response, and she did
- 59:45Speaker 8: it really well. Let me jump to something I've never done.
- 59:49Speaker 8: I never start in the middle of the letter. But
- 59:52Speaker 8: let me just read you so you'll understand my response.
- 59:55Speaker 8: I'm gonna go back to the top. But here is
- 59:58Speaker 8: the line, the one line that jumped out in my
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: face when we read the letter. Be ready, y'all, I'm
- 1:00:06Speaker 8: about to I'm finna read a statement. Imagine any woman
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: saying this to you. You ain't got it on nothing else.
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: I won't a lie his wife to sit on furniture
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: I picked out and take back the man that I've
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: been fixing up for the last eight months.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Do you hear that sentence?
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Do y'all?
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: I don't care if you know what this letter is about.
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: I don't care if you know the two people I
- 1:00:39Speaker 8: don't understand. I don't care if you know anything about circumstances.
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: Listen to this line again. I won't allow his wife
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: to sit on furniture.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: I picked out that alone. Right there is just crazy time.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: And then we go through the letter.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: I won't allow his wife to sit on furniture. I
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: picked out what you're picking out furniture for a man.
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: That's god a wife. I'm just where you at, lady,
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: You so wrong, you so all over the place. All right, Now,
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: let's go to the letter, Tyler. The letter is I'm
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: going over there anyway. Now here's a problem. She been
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: dating a man that told her he was going through
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: a divorce separated from the wife.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Now he told this is the story.
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: He told that my wife cheated on me twice in
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: that house. That's what he said.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: That's what he said.
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: Now, could it be now that's what the story he
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: told you, because the wife moved out of the house.
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: Could it be could it be that she didn't cheat
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: on him at all? Because you don't really know the
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: real story. It could have been he cheated and she
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: said that I'm not staying in this house, no more
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: than left. That could have happened. But he told you
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: the other story. Now she didne took a lot of furniture.
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: I'm a guessing I'm assuming I'm gonna take my stuff
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: out this house.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Blah blah blah blah blah. Now you met him, and
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: you just failed for him.
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: And he was in this big empty house when you
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: met him.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: I helped him pick out a bed or mattress. That
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: was to my liking. You better. You better shop, girl,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: you better shop.
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: I bought him sheets and tiles or set a cook well,
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: because he loves cooking for me.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: You better girl?
- 1:02:45Speaker 8: Do you.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: See how crazy this is?
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: When I come back, I'll tell you the rest of him,
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: but please do not forget the most important line.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: I will not allow his wife to sit on furniture. Eye.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Vot you girl?
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: All right?
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: Part two of Steam's responses going out twenty three minutes
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter subject I'm going over
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: there anyway. We'll get back into it right after this.

- 1:04:12Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: Let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is I'm going
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: over there anyway.
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: Well, this woman's met this man that was going through
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: a divorce. He's separated from his wife. He's living in
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: the house that he shared with his wife. She moved out,
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: so now he in this big empty house by hisself.
- 1:04:32Speaker 8: When you met him, I helped him pick out a bed,
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: a mattress that was to my liking. I bought him
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: sheets and tiles and a set of cookwab because he
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: loves cooking for me. All this, now, y'all, what I
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: want y'all to keep in mind, is all this, and
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: he's still mad. I spent so much time in that
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: house with him, helping him rebuild his life after his
- 1:04:59Speaker 8: wife cheatd him. Now that's what he told her that
- 1:05:03Speaker 8: the wife cheated on him. That's the story. Two weeks ago,
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: he told me that his pastor told him that he
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: ought to work on his marriage instead of working on
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: a divorce. You, being the bigger person, said, I told
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: him follow his heart. What you meant was follow your
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: heart back over here to me, because that's what you
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: thought his heart is. So you said, follow your heart.
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: But I reminded him, why are you following your heart?
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: She cheated on him several times in his house.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: That's what he told you.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: He said, to please his pastor. Man, y'all, this don't
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: sound right. He said, to please his pastor, he was
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: going to talk to his wife and hear her out,
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: but he was still going through it the divorce.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Okay, well, if you're gonna go through with the divorce, then.
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: What y'all talking about? How that's gonna please the pastor?
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: But he was going through the divorce. I did not
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: know that he let her come over to his house
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: to talk. I assume they be meeting up somewhere in public.
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: I was very upset, and I let him know it.
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: He told me to chill out and let him deal
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: with his mess so he and I can be together
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: she said, But instead of chilling out, I'm fighting for
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: my man.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: You know what I did.
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: I popped up at his house. He gonna take his
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: key away from me. I now, he is my favorite
- 1:06:46Speaker 8: line in this whole Let come. I won't allow his
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: wife to sit on furniture I picked out. I can't
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: tell y'all that line is. It's just so amazing to me, ain't.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: I'm not gonna let up. I will not allow her
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: to sit on furniture I picked up.
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: I picked out, and take back the man, take back
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: they married that. I've been fixing up for eight months.
- 1:07:22Speaker 8: Then she said, I'm going over there anyway. He'd have
- 1:07:26Speaker 8: took the key, But I'm going over there anyway, And
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: chances are she'll be there whether he lets me in
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: or not. Oh, now, you crazy, You ain't got to
- 1:07:38Speaker 8: let me in.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: I'm coming in.
- 1:07:41Speaker 8: I want to be sure that he lets his wife
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: know about why is he entertained in this mess? Because
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: he's trying to please his past. That's so ignorant to me.
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: But he then told you several of dignity things that
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: you believe.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:08:06Speaker 8: Look, I don't know if his wife cheated on him
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: several times in that house. I don't know who who
- 1:08:12Speaker 8: who violated the marriage? I don't know, but but you
- 1:08:17Speaker 8: bid in hook line and sinker. You out there buying
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: furniture for a man that's got a wife. Ladies cannot
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: put the cart in front of the horse, just it
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: don't work that way. And I'm sorry, I I c
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: I don't know what to tell you. If I was you,
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: I w I would step aside for a for a second,
- 1:08:42Speaker 8: just to see what's really going on, because it may
- 1:08:45Speaker 8: be that he's decided to accept his wife back into
- 1:08:48Speaker 8: his life.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: I don't know how you planning on getting that furniture
- 1:08:52Speaker 8: out of that house. But I tell you one thing.
- 1:08:59Speaker 8: If my wife find out that you bought the furniture,
- 1:09:06Speaker 8: if she let you have the furniture, it chances are
- 1:09:09Speaker 8: it ain't gonna look like it did at the store,
- 1:09:18Speaker 8: because you're gonna make I want my couch. I want
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: my couch. Here, go your couch. You come get your couch.
- 1:09:23Speaker 8: It's outside on the tree line. And when you drive up,
- 1:09:28Speaker 8: you're gonna that ain't the couch.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Yes, yes it is.
- 1:09:31Speaker 8: You're not gonna recognize it's a lot that's gonna happen here.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Lady, I really can't solve your problem for you.
- 1:09:37Speaker 8: I do think you don't need to go over there
- 1:09:39Speaker 8: and make a scene, because now you're gonna come across
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: as the crazy.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Person that you're saying you are anywhere.
- 1:09:44Speaker 8: But I already know you're crazy, but you know he
- 1:09:47Speaker 8: didn't know until you.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: It's a lot going on, sweetheart. Just listen, don't don't

- 1:12:44Speaker 8: They don't even have football over there, so ain't no

- 1:12:51Speaker 8: doing helmets Now? Football is the greatest spectator sport in
- 1:12:56Speaker 8: the world. To me, Yeah, it's better than basketball. Okay,

- 1:13:53Speaker 2: We're going. We're gonna deal with that when we come back.
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: Coming up at the top of the our A dinner
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: party turned into a hot mess because the AC was out.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: You mud have got a good naked you're listening to
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is from Kenzie and
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: the DMV. Kenzy says, my sister and her husband came
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: over Saturday for my husband's birthday dinner. Our air conditioner
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: was out, but we had a temporary fix to keep
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: the front of the house cool. My sister's husband complained
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: a lot. He said we should have told them that
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: our AC was out, then postponed the dinner. He said
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: that our dinner money should have been spent on AC repairs.
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: I've never expected a family to act like that. Should
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: I be upset with my sister for how rude her
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: husband acted?
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: Well, I mean it's over now. Yeah, you know what.
- 1:14:55Speaker 8: See, sometimes you have to accept the valuable lesson. Now
- 1:15:02Speaker 8: you know how he is? He extra, he's rude, he's inconsidered.
- 1:15:08Speaker 8: Heck like you can't like like, how y'all know the
- 1:15:10Speaker 8: air condition was gonna go out, y'all y'all didn't, but
- 1:15:14Speaker 8: y'all still held at dinner and you had a way
- 1:15:16Speaker 8: to keep in front of the house.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: But he mad about y'all because he wanted to do
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: something else. Hey, man, let's that be. Don't have him
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: over the house no more.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you can't come over.
- 1:15:25Speaker 8: You can't come over my house or get in my
- 1:15:28Speaker 8: car and complain about nothing.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Nothing, or leave.
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: But I'm not lying to you, man. I put them
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: brakes on so fast, hold on what.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: All right, we have time for another one, Steve. This
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: is from Larry and Jacksonville. Larry says, I met a
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: woman through a mutual friend and the friend had told
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: the woman a lot of my personal business. I'm getting
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: to know the lady, but we keep hitting roadblocks. The
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: newest thing is she wants to meet my daughter's mom
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: to establish a relationship with her prior to spending time
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: with my daughter. I told her, I think that's a
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: great idea. In due time, she wants to meet her.
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: Now we've been dating for a little over two months.
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: So is it too early for them to meet?
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Way too early?
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Yes, way too early?
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Shee see you know what she's doing. She's trying to
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: push her.
- 1:16:27Speaker 8: She's trying to push her ranking up at see she
- 1:16:31Speaker 8: as c as she sees fit. And that's not how
- 1:16:35Speaker 8: this works. There's no need for her to meet your daughter's.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Mama for right for what?
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: After two months? And she's demanding it, you know.
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: What, Man's that's why let me just man, let me
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: stop for say.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: So's kind of off.
- 1:16:59Speaker 8: Lady, you all make and I'm not coming down on you.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: I'm just gonna tell you.
- 1:17:06Speaker 8: You all make a lot of mistakes when dealing with
- 1:17:10Speaker 8: these men out here.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: You make a lot of mistakes.
- 1:17:15Speaker 8: So because so, if you understood how men think mm hm,
- 1:17:22Speaker 8: you would you would take a moment of pause and
- 1:17:24Speaker 8: redirect it.
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: And I'm not saying.
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: So what should mean? What are you saying though? What
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: what are you saying to the ladies though?
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: I mean you don't.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Look, what should she do?
- 1:17:36Speaker 8: A moment of pause never hurt anybody, you know when
- 1:17:41Speaker 8: you're when you when you're uncertain about something, just stop
- 1:17:45Speaker 8: four minutes, stay still, let a cop, Let the situation
- 1:17:48Speaker 8: play itself out, you know, let let some circumstances arise.
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: Wait and see how it lays out.
- 1:17:54Speaker 8: If you rush the decision without all the information.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Man, you're gonna make make a mistake.
- 1:18:03Speaker 8: Here's what she should do, paulse she knows as a
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: baby mama somewhat what she's trying to do.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Let me help you understand something.
- 1:18:12Speaker 14: She's trying to head off baby mama drama because somewhere
- 1:18:17Speaker 14: in her past relationship, she's been a relationship with a
- 1:18:20Speaker 14: man and he had a child, and she was doing
- 1:18:24Speaker 14: a relationship with the child and the mama got mad.
- 1:18:26Speaker 14: So maybe that happened to her before and she's trying
- 1:18:28Speaker 14: to avoid that. But all you have to do is
- 1:18:30Speaker 14: sit still, be tight. You don't even have a close
- 1:18:33Speaker 14: relationship with the door with you ain't even really got
- 1:18:36Speaker 14: a close relationship.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: With him, right, who knows you ain't in lady? Yeah,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: this is right.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: You ain't met his mama.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Right, all right? Thank you?
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: Coming up at twenty minutes after, we'll have more of
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's that time of year.
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: I'm talking wedding season, and the overbearing mom of the
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: bride to be is trending on X. This is one
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: overbearing mom. Here's why. The mom went on X to
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: complain that her daughter's new engagement ring, which she said
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: is worth about fifty dollars, is too small, too cheap,
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: and not good enough for her daughter. The mom even
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: posted a picture of the ring. She claims that her
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: daughter refuses to ask her fiance to replace it, so
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: she took matters into her own hands. The mom did
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: it embarrassed her daughter, of course, So the question is
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: does it well? She said about I think she was
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: being a little sarcastic there, you know, over exaggerating. Yeah,
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: So does this mom have a right to speak her
- 1:19:49Speaker 4: mind or is she overstepping?
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: Overstepping?
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: For sure?
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: She all in the way, too cheap, not good enough
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: for her daughter, too small this ring.
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: Maybe that's all he could have done.
- 1:20:00Speaker 11: If this is gonna be what I'm married to the
- 1:20:03Speaker 11: rest of my life, he got to be back peddling.
- 1:20:07Speaker 10: Well, I preferred to have the mama did I wish
- 1:20:10Speaker 10: my wife was just just tried on ring.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: They're weighed too much.
- 1:20:12Speaker 7: You don't love me that much?
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: Oh no, you got to ring.
- 1:20:17Speaker 7: She put a ring on that was thirty five thousands.
- 1:20:19Speaker 7: Better take that off it it's not that much love.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: Where was this lady that when I needed a.
- 1:20:28Speaker 7: Just over the just shine and stuff, just reflecting light
- 1:20:31Speaker 7: in here?
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Put that?
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: Take that off.

- 1:25:26Speaker 4: your business, our audience.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: Take it away Steve with your fabulous clothing remarks and Junior,
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: you have a question.
- 1:25:34Speaker 10: Yeah, unc you know today the first day at the campunk,
- 1:25:36Speaker 10: you're goin to leave here and go talk to these boys.
- 1:25:38Speaker 10: You've been doing it seventeen years, man, seventeen years, you've
- 1:25:41Speaker 10: been doing this oth seventeen seventeen, Yes, sir, and let
- 1:25:45Speaker 10: me ask you is why do you hope they get
- 1:25:47Speaker 10: from you this week?
- 1:25:49Speaker 8: You know, listen, this is my seventeenth year of mentoring
- 1:25:54Speaker 8: these boys, but we have virtual camps throughout the year.
- 1:26:02Speaker 8: During COVID. It was incredible the amount of boys that
- 1:26:07Speaker 8: we mentored during COVID because we opened it up across
- 1:26:10Speaker 8: the country.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: It was dudes. We had dues on the zoom from Africa.
- 1:26:16Speaker 8: We were in the millions during COVID of young men
- 1:26:23Speaker 8: signing up just to hear some words of encouragement from
- 1:26:27Speaker 8: other men.
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: It wasn't just me, it was a lot of men.
- 1:26:32Speaker 8: And you know, man, I just it is my hope
- 1:26:36Speaker 8: when they come to this camp that they first of
- 1:26:39Speaker 8: all listened and are willing to be open.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: We don't save all of these boys. I'm gonna be
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: real with you.
- 1:26:48Speaker 8: Probably in every group of two hundred, we lose maybe five.
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: We completely lose two of them every single year. I mean, man,
- 1:27:00Speaker 8: spend some heartbreaking stories for me, man, but it's been
- 1:27:04Speaker 8: so many success stories. That's why I can't stop. Because
- 1:27:08Speaker 8: the good out weighs the bad. I don't want to
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: lose any of these boys along the way, but I
- 1:27:14Speaker 8: understand the odds of it. Because once they leave this camp,
- 1:27:17Speaker 8: they go back to their reality, and if they're not
- 1:27:20Speaker 8: strong enough to adhere to the principles and the things
- 1:27:24Speaker 8: we've taught them about manhood, about being a good citizen
- 1:27:30Speaker 8: or the best boy you could be, so you could
- 1:27:33Speaker 8: become the man that you dream of. And what we
- 1:27:36Speaker 8: had to do was we put a large number of
- 1:27:38Speaker 8: men in front of them to aspire to become. I
- 1:27:42Speaker 8: put all positive black men in front of them. I
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: got two white guys this year. It don't matter to
- 1:27:49Speaker 8: me and your color if you're volunteering, if you're willing
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: to come. But then you know, it's sort of crazy, man,
- 1:27:54Speaker 8: because it kills me. The mount of celebrities that come
- 1:27:57Speaker 8: here but want a paycheck for it. I come, but
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: this my feet, brother, it's a foundation.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: Will. I don't have no fee for you. I can't
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: give you one hundred.
- 1:28:06Speaker 8: Thousand dollars to come talk to no boys, because I
- 1:28:09Speaker 8: don't know what you're finish say. But I go up
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: there for free and say it and probably say it better.
- 1:28:12Speaker 8: I promise you that and really mean it and care
- 1:28:15Speaker 8: about it. But what I hope, man, is that they listen.
- 1:28:19Speaker 8: And what we've had to do to get them to listen.
- 1:28:22Speaker 8: Has been different over the seventeen years. But pay attention
- 1:28:25Speaker 8: to me. Pay attention to all these men that come
- 1:28:27Speaker 8: up in front of you, because I don't bring men
- 1:28:31Speaker 8: to this camp because because they got money or they famous.
- 1:28:33Speaker 8: I bring men to this camp because they are good men.
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: They are engineers, they are lawyers, they are designers.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: They're producers.
- 1:28:44Speaker 8: I brought people in from Nike shoe designed people. Do
- 1:28:48Speaker 8: you know three shoe designs that Nike users from kids
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: in my camp over the years. These boys draw sneakers.
- 1:28:55Speaker 8: Three are the Sneaky brother Is designed by three boys
- 1:28:58Speaker 8: that come from this camp. These boys come here man,
- 1:29:01Speaker 8: they gifted. Man, They do AI, they do cartoons. They
- 1:29:05Speaker 8: got children's books out because I.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: Open up their mind to dreaming.
- 1:29:12Speaker 8: If you really want to get into your kid's space,
- 1:29:16Speaker 8: quit talking to them about school. Stop talking to him
- 1:29:19Speaker 8: about them, Ruth, you don't need no girlfriend. You get
- 1:29:22Speaker 8: these books. You can stop saying that to a little boy.
- 1:29:24Speaker 8: You're wasting your time. Stop worrying about them girls, and
- 1:29:27Speaker 8: worry about these books.
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: No, listen to me.
- 1:29:31Speaker 8: Talk to your sons and daughters about what they dream
- 1:29:34Speaker 8: of doing. What would you be if there is no
- 1:29:38Speaker 8: way you could fail at it? What would you be?
- 1:29:41Speaker 8: And listen to them and don't get into an argument
- 1:29:44Speaker 8: with them about it.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: They dreams can be their dreams.
- 1:29:50Speaker 8: Stop shooting down the dreams of your children because they
- 1:29:52Speaker 8: ain't your dreams. Stop trying to live vicariously through your
- 1:29:56Speaker 8: children when your children were born for a whole nother purpose.
- 1:30:00Speaker 8: I don't care what you come here and dream about.
- 1:30:03Speaker 8: I don't care. One boy told me he wanted to
- 1:30:05Speaker 8: be a senator. Okay, cool, go be a senator. I've
- 1:30:09Speaker 8: had him come in here, man and said I want
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: to own a foreign owned business.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: Okay, go over there and open up your business.
- 1:30:14Speaker 8: I don't care, but let's get to dreaming about something,
- 1:30:18Speaker 8: because that dream is important. Man, a man without a
- 1:30:20Speaker 8: dream of visions, you'll perish if you dreaming. It gives
- 1:30:24Speaker 8: you hope. When you dreaming, man, it helps you aspire. Now,
- 1:30:28Speaker 8: no matter what the educational requirements are to fulfill your dream,
- 1:30:31Speaker 8: once you have the dream, you will meet the educational
- 1:30:35Speaker 8: requirements because if you want that dreams, Look, man, what
- 1:30:38Speaker 8: I did was I had a dream so big that
- 1:30:42Speaker 8: no amount of failure was gonna stop me. That was
- 1:30:45Speaker 8: nothing that can happen to me that would stop me
- 1:30:48Speaker 8: from wanting to achieve my dream. That's how big I dream,
- 1:30:52Speaker 8: and I teach that here at this camp. The number
- 1:30:55Speaker 8: one thing is the principles of manhood and dream building.
- 1:31:00Speaker 8: If you talk to your children about dream building, guess
- 1:31:03Speaker 8: what the dream will inspire them to get the education. Y'all,
- 1:31:09Speaker 8: keep talking to these kids about education without tying it
- 1:31:12Speaker 8: to no dream, and you're gonna lose. Like that, man,
- 1:31:17Speaker 8: you're just making your job harder as a parent. Find
- 1:31:20Speaker 8: out what your children dream about, man, Help them make
- 1:31:24Speaker 8: a vision board, send them Google stuff and print it
- 1:31:28Speaker 8: out sheets of everything they dream about, and keep it
- 1:31:30Speaker 8: in their face. And then since every now and then,
- 1:31:34Speaker 8: slide the requirements to become that. Y'all have a great
- 1:31:38Speaker 8: day to day. The boys will be here today. I'm
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: gonna be busy, but I'm in the life saving business.
- 1:31:44Speaker 8: I thank God Almighty for putting that on me. I
- 1:31:47Speaker 8: don't want it sometimes, but it's on me, and I
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: appreciate your low y'all, have a great day to day.
- 1:31:52Speaker 8: Talk to God today. He would absolutely love to hear from.
