- 0:38Speaker 4: Don't joy, Yeah, Joy, you gotta do turn you.
- 1:13Speaker 6: Turn, you.
- 1:24Speaker 7: Gotta turn, to turn the mouse to turn. You probably
- 1:43Speaker 7: got to turn the mouth.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Out, turn the water up.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Looking. Come come on, you'll think.
- 2:00Speaker 8: Uhhah, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:05Speaker 8: the voice, Come on, dig me now one and on that.
- 2:09Speaker 8: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well all right, I've.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Learned something and it's sharing time. And I am ever appreciated.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I do appreciate God for all that he allows me
- 2:28Speaker 3: to learn in my life. Well, one of the best
- 2:32Speaker 3: lessons I've learned is that hardship teaches you some great lessons.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Challenges brings about some of my best results. I think
- 2:47Speaker 3: what I'm trying to say is, and every challenge in hardship,
- 2:54Speaker 3: every setback, I've learned something so so valuable. Here's here's
- 3:01Speaker 3: what I've You know, I've known this, but I've just
- 3:04Speaker 3: learned it at a different angle. Appreciation and gratitude is
- 3:10Speaker 3: the key to having more.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Now.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I don't know how that sound to you, but I
- 3:20Speaker 3: can't tell you how true it is. God being fair
- 3:24Speaker 3: and just as he really is. He really is. He's
- 3:27Speaker 3: a fair and a just God. What's most beneficial to
- 3:31Speaker 3: us is he happens to be full of mercy and grace.
- 3:39Speaker 3: And I'm telling you something, man, I've probably benefited from
- 3:44Speaker 3: his grace and mercy more than anything else. I mean, really, man,
- 3:52Speaker 3: if it wasn't for him just forgiving me, and then
- 3:57Speaker 3: for him just touching my life life the way he has,
- 4:02Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not here in this position today. I'm
- 4:05Speaker 3: just not. But a funny thing has happened along the way,
- 4:10Speaker 3: even to you. If you look at it, is it
- 4:13Speaker 3: your genuine appreciation and gratitude has been the key to
- 4:19Speaker 3: you having more for your continued blessings and for making
- 4:24Speaker 3: room for Heaven to open up and pour out blessings
- 4:28Speaker 3: that you don't have room enough to receive. If you
- 4:31Speaker 3: look at it, see God being affair and just God,
- 4:34Speaker 3: which he is. Why would he put more on you
- 4:41Speaker 3: than you can bear? If you've noticed everything that's happened
- 4:45Speaker 3: in your life, if you're still here, you've made it.
- 4:49Speaker 3: You know, forget how rough it was got that, but
- 4:53Speaker 3: you made it forget what it sent you through, and
- 4:56Speaker 3: it how it made you feel. You made it. Now,
- 5:02Speaker 3: what makes people give up and you hear about people
- 5:05Speaker 3: committing suicide is they leave the God out of their
- 5:08Speaker 3: life and they start allowing that other voice to control.
- 5:13Speaker 3: And if it's really true that God never puts more
- 5:15Speaker 3: on you, then you can bear. As long as you
- 5:18Speaker 3: stay connected to God, you can get through anything. But
- 5:22Speaker 3: you lose that connection, you lose that communication, you lose
- 5:28Speaker 3: that relationship with him. If you're not having a relationship
- 5:32Speaker 3: with God, then who you having a relationship with? Now
- 5:38Speaker 3: it ain't but two forces at work at all time.
- 5:41Speaker 3: It's good and evil. It's positive and negative. It is God,
- 5:49Speaker 3: it's Satan. Now, this is at work all the time.
- 5:54Speaker 3: So if you're not being positive about everything, you leave
- 5:58Speaker 3: room for negativity to step in it. If you're not
- 6:02Speaker 3: trying to be righteous in your way, then you allow
- 6:05Speaker 3: evil to step in. If you don't work on your
- 6:09Speaker 3: relationship with God. Come on, now, look who you're letting
- 6:14Speaker 3: step in. So now I'm asking you to understand that
- 6:20Speaker 3: God never puts more on you than you can bear. Okay,
- 6:23Speaker 3: now that we got that clear, that's a fact. Okay, Now,
- 6:26Speaker 3: With that fact in mind, let's go over this right here.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Why would God, being as just and merciful as he is,
- 6:34Speaker 3: put more on you than you can bear? Example, if
- 6:39Speaker 3: God has given you blessings and all you're doing is
- 6:43Speaker 3: complaining about him, you're never showing any appreciation of gratitude
- 6:47Speaker 3: about it. Why would he give you some more stuff
- 6:50Speaker 3: to be ungrateful for? Why would he give you some
- 6:53Speaker 3: more stuff to complain about? Why would he give you
- 6:56Speaker 3: some more stuff that you would not show any more
- 6:58Speaker 3: appreciation for? I mean, this thing is real simple, man,
- 7:01Speaker 3: ain't it if you think about it?
- 7:03Speaker 6: So?
- 7:03Speaker 3: A lot of times, man, when I was going through
- 7:06Speaker 3: my positions of not having and wondering at all, I here,
- 7:10Speaker 3: I ended up checking myself and going, man, I'm not
- 7:12Speaker 3: even showing any gratitude or appreciation for the things He
- 7:16Speaker 3: has done for me. Start showing some appreciation and gratitude.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Because it's the key to having more. It's the key
- 7:23Speaker 3: to continued blessings. It's the key to the wonders of
- 7:26Speaker 3: heaven opening up and pouring out a blessing that you
- 7:29Speaker 3: won't have room enough to receive. It's the appreciation and
- 7:33Speaker 3: gratitude of what you already have. As minimal as it
- 7:39Speaker 3: may appear to be right now for you, it is
- 7:42Speaker 3: still what you have. But if you've shown no gratitude
- 7:47Speaker 3: for the minimal, why would he give you the maximum.
- 7:54Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just really just trying to put it real, real, simple,
- 7:58Speaker 3: so I can keep under standing this thing right here.
- 8:01Speaker 3: So let me give you an example. In my life,
- 8:05Speaker 3: I had gotten so busy at one point that I
- 8:09Speaker 3: had began to complain about how busy I was. This
- 8:15Speaker 3: is true because I am busy, but it ain't the
- 8:19Speaker 3: busy part because I asked to be busy. You know,
- 8:22Speaker 3: I asked God to give me opportunities and to make
- 8:26Speaker 3: a way for me. Well, in that you got to
- 8:29Speaker 3: do something, and you got to get busy. But I
- 8:32Speaker 3: began to complain about the busyness and how busy I was,
- 8:37Speaker 3: and I noticed that a couple of things slowed up
- 8:40Speaker 3: for me. So I had got to the point where
- 8:43Speaker 3: I wasn't showing real gratitude for it. Well, I looked
- 8:47Speaker 3: up and a couple of things started slowing down, and
- 8:50Speaker 3: then I had to catch myself and I went, wow, man,
- 8:53Speaker 3: you have got to start embracing the fact that you
- 8:57Speaker 3: are this busy, embrace the fact that what all comes
- 9:01Speaker 3: along with it. Because to whom much is given, much
- 9:03Speaker 3: is required. You gotta start embracing the requirement part if
- 9:08Speaker 3: you want to continue with the giving part. So I
- 9:12Speaker 3: changed my attitude. I caught myself and I started thinking
- 9:15Speaker 3: them and showing real gratitude for how busy I was
- 9:17Speaker 3: instead of complaining about how busy I was. And then
- 9:20Speaker 3: guess what, It opened up the windows of heaven and
- 9:23Speaker 3: some more blessings got pulled out. It just works that
- 9:26Speaker 3: way all the time, for everybody, for me, for you,
- 9:29Speaker 3: for everybody. So listen, y'all again. Your appreciation and gratitude
- 9:34Speaker 3: is the key to having more. Your appreciation and gratitude
- 9:38Speaker 3: is the key to continued blessings, and your appreciation and
- 9:41Speaker 3: gratitude is the only way that you can get those
- 9:45Speaker 3: windows of heaven to open up and pull out these
- 9:47Speaker 3: blessings that you won't have room enough to receive. You
- 9:50Speaker 3: got to act like you're glad for what you got
- 9:52Speaker 3: in order to get more. You feel me, huh, let's go.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 9:59Speaker 9: Morning show.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your divided attention. This
- 10:05Speaker 3: is the Steve Harvey Morning show. Here we go again.
- 10:08Speaker 3: You know, ladies and gentlemen, I can't tell you how
- 10:11Speaker 3: grateful I am to God Almighty for just for just everything,
- 10:16Speaker 3: for all of it, For the breath of life, for
- 10:18Speaker 3: a measure of health, for opportunity, for another shot at
- 10:22Speaker 3: another day, for another amazing just just to have a
- 10:26Speaker 3: relationship with him, just to be, you know, to feel
- 10:29Speaker 3: like something might be going on, and got a place
- 10:32Speaker 3: to go with it, you know, to have some dreams
- 10:34Speaker 3: and visions and got some help with it. Boy, that
- 10:37Speaker 3: God is something else man, all knowing, all powerful. Welcome
- 10:40Speaker 3: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:41Speaker 4: This is how we do it.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Shirley Strawberry, Colin Farrel, Mississippi, Monica Junior, and the legend
- 10:46Speaker 3: that is nephew Tommy Junior. What's going on with you today?
- 10:49Speaker 2: Man?
- 10:50Speaker 4: Man? Let me ask you.
- 10:51Speaker 2: So when you was on that Baker.
- 10:55Speaker 10: And I know you said you be talking to God
- 10:56Speaker 10: a lot, what did you learn while you was out
- 10:58Speaker 10: there this time? What's the less you've got?
- 11:00Speaker 3: This time? You got? Boy? Man, I love quite a
- 11:04Speaker 3: bit of them today, But you know, I have to
- 11:07Speaker 3: remember something I was reviewing in my notes. You know
- 11:11Speaker 3: that I take I got a little journal down. I'm
- 11:13Speaker 3: wanna do it every single day, but I try to
- 11:15Speaker 3: do it as many times in the week as I can.
- 11:18Speaker 3: And I was reviewing something, and you know, there's a
- 11:21Speaker 3: scripture in the Bible that says you have not cause
- 11:23Speaker 3: you ask not right, Okay, But then if you keep
- 11:27Speaker 3: reading a little bit further, which is true, most people
- 11:30Speaker 3: don't have what they want in life because they never asked.
- 11:33Speaker 2: God for it.
- 11:34Speaker 3: But if you read a little bit further, it says
- 11:38Speaker 3: you have not because you ask a miss which I
- 11:44Speaker 3: interpret it to me, you ask for the wrong reason.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Sometimes you're not getting what you want from God because
- 11:52Speaker 3: you're asking, but you're asking for the wrong reason. I mean,
- 11:58Speaker 3: so I had to think about it. Everything you ask
- 12:01Speaker 3: God for have to just benefit you. Can you not
- 12:06Speaker 3: do something that would give God the glory? Could you
- 12:09Speaker 3: not ask for something that could benefit others? Okay? It's
- 12:12Speaker 3: like that. Okay, Like you want some more money, Okay,
- 12:16Speaker 3: ain't nothing wrong with that. You should ask God for
- 12:18Speaker 3: some more money. But is the money just gonna benefit
- 12:22Speaker 3: you for pleasure? Are you gonna take some of that
- 12:26Speaker 3: money and help somebody that needs something? Are you gonna
- 12:30Speaker 3: take some of that money and give it towards a cause.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Are you gonna take something some of this money and
- 12:38Speaker 3: build your foundation or just help you know your family
- 12:42Speaker 3: members that you know need something. So you gotta remember
- 12:45Speaker 3: when you ask God for something, it can't always just
- 12:48Speaker 3: be about you because you on a better looking car,
- 12:51Speaker 3: or you on a bigger house, or you on a
- 12:53Speaker 3: nicer wardrobe. Sometimes you ask and you have not because
- 12:59Speaker 3: you ask a miss. I mean, think about it. If
- 13:02Speaker 3: you got everything you need, which a lot of people do, food, shelter, clothing,
- 13:08Speaker 3: those are our needs right, So the rest of it
- 13:11Speaker 3: we in the wont category. So ain't nothing wrong with
- 13:15Speaker 3: you want more because he'll give you more because I'm
- 13:17Speaker 3: showing the wont category. But I won't so I can
- 13:21Speaker 3: help benefit some other people too, And God bless you
- 13:24Speaker 3: with that. That's what I learned. So that's just me.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I think you got too much. I think you got
- 13:29Speaker 2: way too much. If you ask, you ask him way
- 13:32Speaker 2: too much. Once you let somebody else have you get
- 13:34Speaker 2: out alive?
- 13:36Speaker 4: All right?
- 13:37Speaker 11: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll
- 13:39Speaker 11: hear from the nephew if he runs that prank back
- 13:42Speaker 11: right after.
- 13:43Speaker 1: This you're listening.
- 13:46Speaker 9: Morning show.
- 13:47Speaker 1: It is time now to run that prank back with
- 13:49Speaker 1: the nephew. Nephew, what you got for it?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yeah, So, dear today, Shirley, it is your baby. He
- 13:56Speaker 2: has my baby's name. Your baby got my baby's name.
- 14:01Speaker 2: That's a problem. Okay, that's an issue. So let's handle
- 14:04Speaker 2: cat dog if you would. Your baby got my baby's name.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Let's go Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach a Patricia
- 14:13Speaker 6: Patricia speaking.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Who is this?
- 14:15Speaker 6: How you doing? Listen? My name is Floyd Floyd. I
- 14:19Speaker 6: want to give you a call. Your your daughter, she
- 14:21Speaker 6: attends middle school? Right?
- 14:22Speaker 2: Okay?
- 14:23Speaker 6: What's your name again, Floyd Floyd? Okay, what can I
- 14:26Speaker 6: just like you?
- 14:27Speaker 1: Uh?
- 14:27Speaker 6: Well, like I said, your your daughter she goes she
- 14:29Speaker 6: do go to middle school, right yeah, okay, Now her name,
- 14:32Speaker 6: her name is Derrek.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Why you need to know that?
- 14:35Speaker 12: Well, ain't something wrong or something?
- 14:37Speaker 6: No? No, no, no, nothing wrong. I mean, I don't
- 14:39Speaker 6: mean the alarm, You're nothing like that. But let me
- 14:41Speaker 6: see what you calling me. Well, here here's the situation.
- 14:45Speaker 6: My daughter actually goes to middle school along along with
- 14:50Speaker 6: with your daughter. Okay, and it's a bit of a
- 14:53Speaker 6: problem that that that has arisen that me and my
- 14:55Speaker 6: wife just found out about.
- 14:56Speaker 12: Okay, what they have some issues Derek and your baby
- 14:59Speaker 12: in in some kind of like trouble or something.
- 15:02Speaker 6: No, no, no, nothing like that. But I think you
- 15:06Speaker 6: don't food.
- 15:06Speaker 12: With nobody at that school. She don't mess with nobody.
- 15:09Speaker 12: She own the honor row and everything. I don't have
- 15:11Speaker 12: no problems out of Derrika.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Right like none?
- 15:14Speaker 6: Okay, let me no, let me tell you, miss miss Patricia,
- 15:19Speaker 6: what the problem is. See, my daughter name is Dereka. Okay, so,
- 15:24Speaker 6: and and it just blew me and my wife away
- 15:26Speaker 6: that it was another Derreka that went to the school.
- 15:30Speaker 12: Okay, all right, So I don't know too many Dereka's.
- 15:32Speaker 12: That's a unique name. That's cute, okay, right.
- 15:35Speaker 6: Right, Well, here's the problem me and my wife Actually,
- 15:39Speaker 6: you know, when it was time to name my child,
- 15:41Speaker 6: we thought we was really picking the name that nobody
- 15:43Speaker 6: uh would have a pick out for their daughter. And
- 15:46Speaker 6: to have another Dereka in the school that blew us away.
- 15:49Speaker 6: And I guess the real reason why I'm trying to
- 15:52Speaker 6: call you, miss Patricia c is if if there's something
- 15:55Speaker 6: maybe we can work out, you know, maybe like your
- 15:59Speaker 6: Dereka that wait a minute, middle name or nickname she
- 16:03Speaker 6: can be called by in opposed to both of them
- 16:06Speaker 6: being Derek. You really don't want to our child to
- 16:09Speaker 6: be the only one with this name.
- 16:10Speaker 12: Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait for now. You calling me
- 16:14Speaker 12: and you asking me to change my baby's name.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Well, I mean you you ain't really got to legally
- 16:18Speaker 6: change I mean, but just start calling us something else
- 16:21Speaker 6: you know?
- 16:21Speaker 12: No, No, wait a minute, say what you the name
- 16:24Speaker 12: in police or something? Do you know how many ants
- 16:27Speaker 12: and lewis this and Patricia's out there? What if I
- 16:30Speaker 12: asked everything in the United States to change their name
- 16:33Speaker 12: from Patricia? You know how crazy that is?
- 16:35Speaker 6: And I understand that you must be on drugs. No,
- 16:38Speaker 6: what I'm trying to say is you know this, this
- 16:41Speaker 6: is something that we really have. Our baby girl was
- 16:43Speaker 6: this name and we didn't want nobody else to have this.
- 16:45Speaker 6: So does your Denker have a middle name she can use?
- 16:48Speaker 12: No, we gonna call her Dereka like we've been calling you.
- 16:51Speaker 12: Name your baby d d. Let's call your baby dd
- 16:54Speaker 12: is you change'll y'all change y'all baby name at the school.
- 16:57Speaker 6: I'm not calling I'm not calling all.
- 17:00Speaker 12: I don't give you what you call it, but I'm
- 17:01Speaker 12: not changing my baby name.
- 17:03Speaker 6: Hey, listen, Okay, look, I'm trying to call you and
- 17:06Speaker 6: handle this like adults, you know, but you're seeing the
- 17:08Speaker 6: sit You're gonna push my button and take me to
- 17:10Speaker 6: another level.
- 17:11Speaker 12: You ain't calling me trying to have no just ask
- 17:13Speaker 12: me to change my baby name, call my baby something
- 17:16Speaker 12: else at the school because y'all want y'all baby name
- 17:18Speaker 12: to be Derek and the only Derek in the school.
- 17:21Speaker 12: Can you know how many other kids at the damn
- 17:22Speaker 12: school got.
- 17:23Speaker 1: The same name.
- 17:24Speaker 6: I understand that, but from my baby girl, it ain't
- 17:27Speaker 6: supposed to be like that.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Huh.
- 17:29Speaker 12: I'm sorry. I'm throwing for that baby girl. Ain't your wife,
- 17:32Speaker 12: but you know I'm not changing my baby damn name.
- 17:36Speaker 12: Y'all call y'all baby.
- 17:37Speaker 6: Do know what I'm trying to do is get it rectified.

- 17:43Speaker 12: know that school ain't give you my number.
- 17:45Speaker 6: I got your number. Don't worry about how I got it.
- 17:47Speaker 6: The problem is. But what we're talking about right now
- 17:50Speaker 6: is can we what can we start calling your child?
- 17:52Speaker 12: Don't give it. I know that school ain't called jo
- 17:55Speaker 12: you my damn number.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Listen, ma'am all, I'm trying to do is figure out

- 18:05Speaker 12: I need to go down to the statistics office and
- 18:07Speaker 12: good time. They of the name a cond you something
- 18:10Speaker 12: out the kind of name for her, but my daughter
- 18:12Speaker 12: to God teach the same by name.
- 18:14Speaker 6: Let me explain something to you. I've been trying to
- 18:16Speaker 6: be calm with you.
- 18:17Speaker 12: You a horse.

- 18:23Speaker 12: How do you get my numbers?
- 18:25Speaker 6: Don't worry about it. I got the number. Listen to
- 18:27Speaker 6: what I'm trying to tell you. If you don't find

- 20:17Speaker 2: great getting up stupid. And I'd be back in another hour.
- 20:20Speaker 2: While I'd be just edge stupid, because that's my job
- 20:23Speaker 2: is to come on here and be super. I'm not
- 20:25Speaker 2: really stupid. I'm an intelligence stupids, you understand, And there's
- 20:28Speaker 2: a difference between the two. A lot of people don't
- 20:30Speaker 2: realize that, really if they had stupid in the Olympics. Boy,
- 20:35Speaker 2: go go, boy, start the answer standing on their top podium,
- 20:41Speaker 2: just biting my little lod goo.

- 20:51Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 20:53Speaker 11: Morning show coming up at the top of the hour
- 20:56Speaker 11: and entertainment news. Sara william slams the Peninsula Paris Hotel
- 21:00Speaker 11: tell for denying her and her daughter access to their
- 21:03Speaker 11: rooftop restaurant. Flavor Flame is the real MVP at the
- 21:07Speaker 11: Paris Olympics.
- 21:08Speaker 1: We'll tell you why. And Steve just my, I don't know.
- 21:12Speaker 11: He just might bless us with one of his funny
- 21:15Speaker 11: vacation stories, you know, he always has one. We'll talk
- 21:18Speaker 11: about it all at the top of the hour, but
- 21:21Speaker 11: right now it is time to ask the CLO with
- 21:24Speaker 11: our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. This is from Simone
- 21:27Speaker 11: in Toledo, Simon Rides. My boyfriend is still married, but
- 21:32Speaker 11: he lives at my house. I know for a fact
- 21:34Speaker 11: that his wife threw eggs on my car, but he said,
- 21:37Speaker 11: I have no proof. He is taking her side, even
- 21:40Speaker 11: though I've never had problems like this till I met him.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Why is he protecting his wife?
- 21:48Speaker 6: What? What? What?
- 21:50Speaker 4: Lady?
- 21:51Speaker 3: Why must he protecting his fight? To go to real question?
- 21:55Speaker 3: Why is he living in your house? And the wife
- 22:01Speaker 3: know the way over there? That's the bigger question. Why
- 22:06Speaker 3: is he protecting his wife? Why he living in your house?
- 22:10Speaker 3: You know, y'all all of us make mistakes, right, all
- 22:14Speaker 3: of us do. We're all human. We've all made up
- 22:16Speaker 3: of one hundred I got it, ain't no problem, so
- 22:19Speaker 3: we ain't worried about that. But you can't do your wrong,
- 22:23Speaker 3: and then when some wrong happened, you don't understand what's wrong.
- 22:29Speaker 3: That's where we at. You got a married man living
- 22:36Speaker 3: in your house, that you do you know he married?
- 22:40Speaker 3: Now his wife Ben drove over there and threw some
- 22:42Speaker 3: eggs on your house, on your car. Now you want
- 22:46Speaker 3: to know he sent up here saying that ain't her?
- 22:51Speaker 3: Why is he protected his wife?
- 22:53Speaker 2: Well?
- 22:54Speaker 3: Could it be? I'm just asking because they married.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I'm just you know, I.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Don't want to appear righteous or nothing, but I'm just
- 23:08Speaker 3: asking a question. Could it be because they still mad
- 23:12Speaker 3: me and she upset that you done took him in
- 23:18Speaker 3: prior to the divorce. That's that's all it could be.
- 23:21Speaker 3: I'm just saying, once again, we all make mistakes.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Got that.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I ain't judging you for it. But when you but
- 23:29Speaker 3: when you do something wrong and then something wrong happened
- 23:32Speaker 3: to you, you gotta quit figuring out what wrong?
- 23:38Speaker 1: Profound?
- 23:39Speaker 3: All right, man, I ain't that's that's damn near, that
- 23:43Speaker 3: damn near, that's damn near heavy. There's so much in
- 23:49Speaker 3: that statement. Hit damn there. Sound like it ain't calming,
- 23:53Speaker 3: don't it.
- 23:54Speaker 1: That's right, it does, it does.
- 23:56Speaker 11: Moving on to Brielle and Charlotte, Brielle says, I kept
- 23:59Speaker 11: my cousin the kids ages three and five, and I
- 24:01Speaker 11: fed them chicken nuggets and tater tots. I baked chicken
- 24:05Speaker 11: for my husband and sixteen year old son. My cousin
- 24:08Speaker 11: came as he as we were eating, and she got
- 24:10Speaker 11: mad because her kids didn't get baked chicken. Her kids
- 24:13Speaker 11: were happy with their nuggets. So what's the big deal?
- 24:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but you know you played them kids. Don't
- 24:23Speaker 3: kids love that everybody else getting baked chicken. They got
- 24:26Speaker 3: them little cheap ass nuggets on over they eating all
- 24:28Speaker 3: their preservatives and everything.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Yeah, what's the big Yeah?
- 24:31Speaker 3: Yeah, they was happy with the nuggets. But you know,
- 24:34Speaker 3: them kids should have ate a little bit healthier. Everybody
- 24:37Speaker 3: else over there, big baked chicken. Let me cut back
- 24:39Speaker 3: on these people that don't live here. Three and five,
- 24:42Speaker 3: Get them nuggets. That's all it is. You know. You know,
- 24:47Speaker 3: if you go over somebody house and everybody getting treated
- 24:49Speaker 3: one way, and then you see your kids getting treated
- 24:52Speaker 3: another way, you know you're gonna feel some kind of
- 24:54Speaker 3: way about that.
- 24:55Speaker 1: What's the big deal?
- 24:57Speaker 3: They was happy with nuggets?
- 24:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I mean, hey, you know it's like, okay,
- 25:06Speaker 3: I take everybody, the kids down to the amusement Paul.
- 25:10Speaker 3: You walk up. Everybody got ice cream cone, but your
- 25:13Speaker 3: baby got popsicle. Here'll gonna be a damn problem in him.
- 25:19Speaker 3: You know, why why my babye drinking this ice water?
- 25:21Speaker 3: Everybody else got ice cream? Here's my favorite over drinking
- 25:24Speaker 3: this ice water? You understand that. I thought, think thats
- 25:27Speaker 3: what the situation is here.
- 25:29Speaker 11: That's all right, all right, Clo, you're on fire this morning. Okay,
- 25:35Speaker 11: at last in Germantown. You are, at least in Germantown,
- 25:39Speaker 11: says I switched up my weed the other day to
- 25:42Speaker 11: a shoulder length blonde style. My husband said he liked it,
- 25:46Speaker 11: and I reminded him of j LO. He said it
- 25:50Speaker 11: was turning him on because he's always wanted j LO.
- 25:53Speaker 11: But I'll do uh.
- 25:55Speaker 1: He said it was a joke.
- 25:56Speaker 3: It wasn't really, you know, it wasn't no joke. Yeah, fellas, Yeah,
- 26:05Speaker 3: shut your mouth about what you've always been thinking. Shut
- 26:11Speaker 3: your damn mouth. I know how you feel exactly, yeah,
- 26:20Speaker 3: but you can't say none of what you feel. Man,
- 26:23Speaker 3: shut him out. Oh girl, you got that blonde way?
- 26:26Speaker 3: Oh no, that's right. Click girl, scorn and play.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Here you go.
- 26:34Speaker 3: That's it.
- 26:35Speaker 2: So let me ask you that when when when they
- 26:37Speaker 2: ask you how much weight do you think I need
- 26:40Speaker 2: to lose? What did you supposed to say? Baby?
- 26:43Speaker 3: I love you just the way you are. If you
- 26:48Speaker 3: find it's fine, I'll tell you what you better not do.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Howl out about thirty don't say that.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I got.
- 26:59Speaker 1: All right.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I don't know exactly what you should say. You might
- 27:02Speaker 3: not like what I just said, baby, I love you
- 27:05Speaker 3: just the way. There are you finding one? But I
- 27:07Speaker 3: but I do know you can't hol out no number.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Them about thirty for sure?
- 27:16Speaker 3: You know, maybe twenty conversation twenty bring you down there
- 27:21Speaker 3: in the cool rage fifteen you will still look a
- 27:25Speaker 3: little You know you need a little more work, but
- 27:27Speaker 3: you know it at least gets you started in the
- 27:29Speaker 3: right direction. See that right there? Oh that's going downhill?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Fellas, what else do you get more than five? That's
- 27:37Speaker 1: that's all, bro.
- 27:38Speaker 3: You know how many times I've been asked that question more.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Every husband and boyfriend in America.
- 27:46Speaker 3: A man, I know the proper answer.
- 27:49Speaker 11: I told you you're on fire this morning. Last one, Clo,
- 27:52Speaker 11: I tell you one time.
- 27:53Speaker 3: This is how I knew because I heard my brother
- 27:55Speaker 3: One time. My brother and wife asked him how much
- 27:59Speaker 3: weight you think I need to lose? My brother said,
- 28:01Speaker 3: who man?
- 28:09Speaker 4: My mama.
- 28:10Speaker 3: My mama looked up from the table with Jesus.
- 28:19Speaker 6: All right.
- 28:20Speaker 11: Last one, this is from mister Tony and waycross. Okay,
- 28:23Speaker 11: mister Tony Right. I've been playing the piano at church
- 28:27Speaker 11: for years. When our organists passed away, I was playing
- 28:30Speaker 11: by myself. Every Sunday, I found out that the organists
- 28:33Speaker 11: got paid monthly. I've never been paid. Should I stop
- 28:37Speaker 11: playing if they don't start paying?
- 28:39Speaker 3: You are serving the lord, you know, all for the
- 28:43Speaker 3: glory sometimes, you know, you know where's that money? Yeah,
- 28:48Speaker 3: you may not have pay to play capabilities, you know.
- 28:51Speaker 2: There you go, there you go.

- 29:13Speaker 11: According to Variety, Serena Williams criticized the Peninsula Paris Hotel
- 29:17Speaker 11: on Monday evening for being denied access to the rooftop
- 29:20Speaker 11: restaurant with her children. Serena posted about her experience on
- 29:25Speaker 11: x of course, formerly known as Twitter. She says, yikes,
- 29:27Speaker 11: Peninsula Paris. I've been denied access to rooftop to eat
- 29:31Speaker 11: in an empty restaurant. Of nicer places, but never with
- 29:35Speaker 11: my kids, Serena said, always the first, she added on
- 29:39Speaker 11: a hashtag for the Olympics, and an employee at the
- 29:42Speaker 11: Peninsula Paris said Serena Williams and another woman showed up
- 29:45Speaker 11: with a stroller and was on They were unrecognizable, the
- 29:49Speaker 11: spokesperson for the hotel said.
- 29:51Speaker 1: The employee to uh huh.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yep.
- 29:54Speaker 1: The employee told Serena that there.
- 29:56Speaker 11: Were only two tables available, but they were already reserved
- 29:59Speaker 11: and she could wait downstairs in the bar for a
- 30:01Speaker 11: table to become available.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:05Speaker 11: The Peninsula Paris did release an apology statement to Serena.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I mean really, really really, that's what it is.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Man, be these employees. Yeah, it don't Sometimes it don't
- 30:19Speaker 3: even be the policy, Like like when Oprah got turned
- 30:22Speaker 3: away at hermez and be being employee that don't know,
- 30:26Speaker 3: and they be just they be flexing. They be just
- 30:30Speaker 3: flexing man, and y'all don't know. Man, what they need
- 30:34Speaker 3: to do. They need to get them phones out like
- 30:37Speaker 3: they like they got now they they take your picture
- 30:40Speaker 3: and then they automatically want a Google search.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Oh okay, really yeah they.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Got some on their phones now. Because people do it
- 30:48Speaker 3: to me all the time.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Well, has that ever happened to you? You travel so much, Steve,
- 30:52Speaker 1: has that ever happened to you where you've been tonight? Access?
- 30:55Speaker 3: Because oh yeah yeah yeah, yeah, oh yeah, you know,
- 30:59Speaker 3: income pre really, it wouldn't let us in the store.
- 31:05Speaker 3: We looked in the door. Wasn't nobody in that? No
- 31:06Speaker 3: one else can come in? Little little dough? God, look,
- 31:09Speaker 3: God at the door. No one else could come in?
- 31:12Speaker 3: I said, dog, ain't nobody in him? I'm looking at it.
- 31:17Speaker 3: You know, it'd be different if the store was crowded.
- 31:19Speaker 3: I understand they got so many people can go in
- 31:21Speaker 3: the store.
- 31:22Speaker 4: I ain't.
- 31:22Speaker 3: I ain't that dude where you see me? I'm in
- 31:25Speaker 3: another country. But dog, ain't nobody in that home.
- 31:30Speaker 1: So what happened?
- 31:31Speaker 2: Did you go in?
- 31:31Speaker 1: Or you just forget it?
- 31:33Speaker 4: Or no? Hell no?
- 31:34Speaker 3: Walked away? But then the manager of the store looked
- 31:37Speaker 3: out and recognized Marjorie. Uh huh, yeah, my ass might
- 31:45Speaker 3: as well got all away from the damn dough. You
- 31:47Speaker 3: know you ain't the shopper she is so right? Yeah, man.
- 31:53Speaker 3: So then you know they ran out there and apologized
- 31:55Speaker 3: and tried to make it. You know, we was going
- 31:57Speaker 3: on to another store then because march she turned around
- 31:59Speaker 3: the corner of just going another stove.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Ye see it right right?
- 32:03Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 32:04Speaker 3: So yeah, I've had that happened before. Wasn't it beautiful?
- 32:07Speaker 3: It wasn't no need to me, you know, tripping about
- 32:11Speaker 3: it and nothing, you.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Know, Yeah, they got other stories.
- 32:14Speaker 3: I just figured.
- 32:17Speaker 1: The money today. Yeah, you spend any.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Money recognized blessed?
- 32:24Speaker 1: Yeah, when when it happens? Yeah, moments?
- 32:29Speaker 3: All right, that's THEO I wanted to.
- 32:37Speaker 11: Flavor play is the real m v P of the
- 32:40Speaker 11: Paris Olympics. According to the New York Times, US women's
- 32:43Speaker 11: water polo team doesn't receive the same scholarship sponsorship dollars
- 32:48Speaker 11: as in sports like swimming, gymnastics, or track and field. However,
- 32:53Speaker 11: before the Olympic game, some of the women water polo
- 32:56Speaker 11: players took to social media and asked for support. Flavor
- 33:00Speaker 11: Flav stepped up and sponsored the women's water polo program,
- 33:03Speaker 11: So wow, thank you.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:07Speaker 1: He also.
- 33:09Speaker 11: Yeah, he also heard about American discus thrower Veronica Frayley,
- 33:14Speaker 11: who was struggling to pay her rent. Flavor and Serena
- 33:17Speaker 11: Williams husband Alex o'hanyan stepped up and handled that situation
- 33:21Speaker 11: as well.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I love it. I love yeah.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you something else you know that I
- 33:28Speaker 3: learned this year. Do you know that you get paid
- 33:31Speaker 3: for gold medal?
- 33:33Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 33:33Speaker 3: We talked about it all.
- 33:35Speaker 2: We talked about it. But it's different.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the lowest. Yeah, because we have so many
- 33:44Speaker 1: gold medalists. That's that's their their logic, that's what they say.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's it's it's gold medals just life changing,
- 33:55Speaker 3: like quarter of a million stuff like that in other countries.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Good reward these athletes who bring gold and glory to
- 34:03Speaker 3: the country. Man, they do have sometimes they get the
- 34:07Speaker 3: athletic things wrong. It's just like they had to make
- 34:09Speaker 3: that change with college football. You know, college sports allow
- 34:14Speaker 3: these cats to make money. You gotta you know, you
- 34:17Speaker 3: want them to represent your country, you should pay these people.
- 34:19Speaker 3: They got to quit their job and people got to
- 34:22Speaker 3: chip in and help them.
- 34:23Speaker 6: No.
- 34:23Speaker 3: Man, if you have a prospect, a metal prospect contender
- 34:28Speaker 3: in your country, you got to take over and help them.
- 34:32Speaker 2: That's it.
- 34:33Speaker 3: It ain't like they don't have the money, y'all stop.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, this country and you can't do nothing that
- 34:40Speaker 2: there's nothing that you've seen that you can at all
- 34:45Speaker 2: for you.
- 34:45Speaker 3: You can't go get nobody else.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I don't know where they get all that money in sports.
- 34:53Speaker 3: So muny sponsors surely they buy I know that.
- 34:57Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm just saying it's so much if if
- 35:00Speaker 1: they put.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Their logo on this track athlete or this woman, you
- 35:05Speaker 3: know how many shoes they sail off that?
- 35:07Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 35:08Speaker 3: Not many people want a shirt because they saw Tiger
- 35:11Speaker 3: Woods with it on, or somebody will a shoe that
- 35:14Speaker 3: they see Steph Carry and they think they're gonna hear
- 35:16Speaker 3: the jumping.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Now right, it's the it's the shirt, the shoe up.
- 35:25Speaker 3: I got a yellow pair of Steph Carry's shoes. Yes, yes,
- 35:29Speaker 3: still can't here the game?
- 35:31Speaker 1: How's your game?
- 35:33Speaker 3: Eighteen percent from three point?
- 35:37Speaker 2: Chakari got some commercials though, I'm happy for us big Nike.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Yeah, billboards all in Dallas.
- 35:47Speaker 11: Yeah, all right, all right, coming up in twenty minutes
- 35:49Speaker 11: after the hour, will tell you about swing state's voting information.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Right after this, you're.
- 35:55Speaker 9: Listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 35:58Speaker 1: All right, Steve Harvey, Nation, We want you to listen up.
- 36:00Speaker 11: There are about seven swing states that will have a
- 36:03Speaker 11: big and major impact on the presidential election in November. Now,
- 36:08Speaker 11: what are the swing states? According to iamvoter dot com,
- 36:12Speaker 11: that's i am voter dot com. A swing state is
- 36:16Speaker 11: any state that could be reasonably won by either the
- 36:20Speaker 11: Democratic or the Republican presidential candidate.
- 36:23Speaker 1: By a swing in votes.
- 36:26Speaker 11: Swing states tend to be comprised of mixed populations and
- 36:30Speaker 11: flit between red and blue each election season. The twenty
- 36:35Speaker 11: twenty four swing states are Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania,
- 36:44Speaker 11: and Wisconsin.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 36:47Speaker 11: Now, in these seven states, a total of ninety three
- 36:51Speaker 11: electoral votes are up for grabs. And you know you
- 36:53Speaker 11: have to have the winning number of electoral votes to win.
- 36:57Speaker 11: It's not about popularity, it's about electoral votes. So these
- 37:02Speaker 11: ninety three electoral votes are up for grabs which could
- 37:05Speaker 11: determine the outcome of the election. They're about ninety days,
- 37:08Speaker 11: only ninety days left until the election.
- 37:11Speaker 1: So we got to get on this. Registered to vote now.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 37:14Speaker 3: And also there's a new warning out that I've noticed
- 37:19Speaker 3: when you go to the polls to vote and you
- 37:22Speaker 3: get your ballot, if they hand your ballot and on
- 37:25Speaker 3: the outside of the ballot there is an R or
- 37:28Speaker 3: a D on it, it will be thrown out. That
- 37:32Speaker 3: is the new thing that they're doing. So if the
- 37:35Speaker 3: outside of your ballot is not clean, it can't have
- 37:39Speaker 3: no initial, no RD on it, I on it. It
- 37:43Speaker 3: can't have nothing on the outside. If they give it
- 37:46Speaker 3: to you, just say, excuse me, I'd like another ballot.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Please be very aware of what they're doing to suppress
- 37:52Speaker 3: this vote this year because they are trying to steal
- 37:56Speaker 3: the election. They've gotten rid of so many former election
- 38:01Speaker 3: officials and workers that that were claiming it was a
- 38:06Speaker 3: clean election. They are trying to steal this election. So
- 38:11Speaker 3: be very aware of all of the tricks. Y'all. We
- 38:13Speaker 3: gotta get vote. You all hear me on this radio show.
- 38:16Speaker 3: You know who I am. You can say what you
- 38:18Speaker 3: want to say. I've always been a supporter of Biden
- 38:22Speaker 3: Obama and now Vice President and future president Kamala Harris.
- 38:28Speaker 3: That's who I am. You can you can put me
- 38:31Speaker 3: in line with all them AI photos you want and
- 38:34Speaker 3: do all that bull crap. It ain't gonna work game
- 38:37Speaker 3: on Steve Harvey for Kamala Harris. Put that down and
- 38:41Speaker 3: you write something else. If when I find you, I'm
- 38:44Speaker 3: pimp slapping you.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Really, you can't do that.
- 38:50Speaker 3: You still hood now, steal hood now, you know.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Just encourage people to get out and vote, to register
- 38:57Speaker 1: and then vote.
- 38:58Speaker 3: I'm just talking about talk about me.
- 39:04Speaker 11: If I see you coming up at thirty four minutes
- 39:09Speaker 11: after the Hour, Houston Texans quarterback CJ. Stroud talks about
- 39:13Speaker 11: his struggle with cursing and using profanity.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll talk about it right after this.
- 39:19Speaker 11: You're listening Hard Morning Show. Houston Texans quarterback CJ. Stroud
- 39:26Speaker 11: struggles with cursing and using profanity, and he says he
- 39:30Speaker 11: is trying to do better.
- 39:32Speaker 1: He's twenty twenty three Rookie of the Year.
- 39:34Speaker 11: He recently appeared on the Sports Spectrum podcast to discuss
- 39:38Speaker 11: his Christianity. DJ knows that he is a high profile,
- 39:42Speaker 11: influential athlete and that Christians aren't perfect, but he is
- 39:46Speaker 11: struggling with cursing and wants to tame his tongue.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 39:50Speaker 13: I was like, hey, man, like, I'm struggling with cursing
- 39:52Speaker 13: right now. I'm trying to stop when I'm trying to
- 39:54Speaker 13: just hold back because not only am I trying to
- 39:56Speaker 13: do it for myself, but also like, I can't proclaim
- 39:59Speaker 13: that I love God like a wild mouth like that
- 40:01Speaker 13: just doesn't make sense to me, this hypocritical Sure, I've
- 40:05Speaker 13: been trying with that, And he was like, man, red
- 40:06Speaker 13: James three. So I re James three last night and
- 40:09Speaker 13: I went over the devotion on the way to work
- 40:12Speaker 13: this morning. So it's like stuff like that. Like people
- 40:14Speaker 13: are like just like send me stuff. And I asked
- 40:16Speaker 13: questions and I'm like, I'm I'm a youth in this,
- 40:20Speaker 13: in this walk, and I want to learn more.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Receive nine and two and see what you said.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Let me help you out with this, bro, I love
- 40:31Speaker 3: the Lord too. I'm a Christian. You know what I'm saying.
- 40:34Speaker 3: And they've told you right, there's none perfect, no, not one.
- 40:38Speaker 3: What you've got to remember, though, is don't let outside
- 40:42Speaker 3: external forces cripple your walk because they're clamoring for perfection. Now,
- 40:49Speaker 3: if you want to do better, I understand that, then
- 40:51Speaker 3: go ahead and go ahead and make your efforts to
- 40:54Speaker 3: do better. I have been trying to quit cussing, been
- 40:57Speaker 3: probably now all probably about sixty years now. Yeah, I
- 41:06Speaker 3: first started. I should probably stopped around seven because I
- 41:10Speaker 3: started at four, I became at six. I thought i'd
- 41:14Speaker 3: stopped at seven. I've been struggling with it for sixty years.
- 41:17Speaker 3: And and to be honest, I had to say, but
- 41:19Speaker 3: I'm not. I'm not. It's it's a flaw, but it
- 41:25Speaker 3: I mean.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Bro, I like it.
- 41:28Speaker 3: I'm just not going to allow it. It's sometimes you
- 41:34Speaker 3: could be a little bit too hard on yourself. Now,
- 41:36Speaker 3: if you can stop, go ahead. I've tried. And the
- 41:39Speaker 3: one time I tried, I had stopped for about four
- 41:42Speaker 3: days and I developed had severe headaches and my teeth
- 41:46Speaker 3: was hurting, and I was constipated to get you on
- 41:51Speaker 3: in just it was just so much, man, I was.
- 41:54Speaker 3: I was having migraines. You have you ever had a
- 41:57Speaker 3: headache and constipated in it? Didn't I say away to go?
- 42:02Speaker 3: And my wife asked me one time, She says, Steve,
- 42:06Speaker 3: what is wrong with you? And then I said to yourself,
- 42:09Speaker 3: I the f don't know. And soon as I said that,
- 42:14Speaker 3: the headache went away. I went right to the bathroom.
- 42:17Speaker 3: And so that's what I mean, me stopping hustling with
- 42:23Speaker 3: locking me up and creating so much stuff. And so
- 42:27Speaker 3: I've just dealt with. But you know, young brother, just
- 42:29Speaker 3: you know, hey, man, have your walk with Christ and
- 42:32Speaker 3: going about your business, because I'm gonna tell you something else.
- 42:35Speaker 3: If it ain't that, it's gonna be something else. And man,
- 42:39Speaker 3: don't you let these little half feathered Christians fool you.
- 42:43Speaker 3: They can walk that walk like they staying on that
- 42:46Speaker 3: white line all they want. Ain't nobody on that tight
- 42:48Speaker 3: rope like that. Man, It's people doing all kinds of stuff.
- 42:52Speaker 3: So just hey, man, don't beat yourself up too bad
- 42:55Speaker 3: about it. If you can improve, go ahead and hold on.
- 42:59Speaker 2: We just had a good squad on Houston, just got
- 43:02Speaker 2: a good squad. So he can't come in here not cussing,
- 43:05Speaker 2: and we don't make the playoff if it takes cussing
- 43:07Speaker 2: to get to the playoffs.
- 43:08Speaker 3: You know, cussing and you're not huling that receive, ain't
- 43:12Speaker 3: listening to that route, and you got to straighten him out.
- 43:15Speaker 2: That's what I do.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Look, I'm a Christian. I thuded Lord, but let me
- 43:19Speaker 3: if you can't get up in my face too much,
- 43:21Speaker 3: I got to bag you out.
- 43:22Speaker 6: Now.
- 43:22Speaker 3: What you want me to do bout it?
- 43:24Speaker 4: You don't have to.
- 43:25Speaker 11: He's saying he doesn't want to use profanity and he
- 43:28Speaker 11: wants to do better.
- 43:29Speaker 3: I got all in the NFL cut. The Bible says
- 43:33Speaker 3: do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
- 43:37Speaker 3: So I figure, if you come up under meath, treat
- 43:43Speaker 3: others as you want to be treated. So if you
- 43:45Speaker 3: come up to me and you cuss me out, I'm
- 43:47Speaker 3: assuming that's how you won't be treated. That's why I'm
- 43:50Speaker 3: going with him. Yeah, but he in the NFL.
- 43:53Speaker 10: He in NFL cussing, Tim cussing, ain't got naw job,
- 43:57Speaker 10: So I don't even see the problem.
- 43:59Speaker 4: You're doing great, Okay, you don't?
- 44:03Speaker 2: All right?
- 44:04Speaker 1: Good luck, CJ. It's coming up next.
- 44:07Speaker 3: It is no Lostcene. Ain't the quarterback for the Houston
- 44:10Speaker 3: issue U.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Pray phone call for today. Right after this, you're listening
- 44:18Speaker 1: Hard Morning Show.
- 44:21Speaker 11: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:23Speaker 11: four minutes after, it's my Strawberry letter for today and
- 44:26Speaker 11: the subject is help me figure my man out. We'll
- 44:30Speaker 11: get into that find out what that's all about in
- 44:32Speaker 11: just a few because right now the nephew is here
- 44:34Speaker 11: with today's prank phone call.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Nephew, what you got for us?
- 44:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm here. How y'all doing everybody good?
- 44:42Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 44:42Speaker 9: We're good.
- 44:42Speaker 2: What's up? I've been asked my I've been asked my
- 44:46Speaker 2: uncle by his vacation. I just, I just I don't
- 44:49Speaker 2: know what it is. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
- 44:51Speaker 1: I just what do you mean what you're holling about?
- 44:54Speaker 2: Turn around? When I ain't got to turn around people
- 44:57Speaker 2: on the radio. Okay, see me if people only you
- 45:00Speaker 2: can see, I ain't got to show you.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Tell him what junior, Junior, tell him what he's doing wrong.
- 45:06Speaker 1: He had not because he asked a miss.
- 45:09Speaker 3: That's what.
- 45:12Speaker 4: I told you.
- 45:13Speaker 3: I wrote it down.
- 45:14Speaker 1: You need to taking notes.
- 45:16Speaker 3: I wrote it down. I wrote it down.
- 45:19Speaker 1: You hurt because you asked from get a depressed.
- 45:24Speaker 2: I know. Okay, Lord, if you're listening, we'll talk tonight.
- 45:35Speaker 4: That is this what here is?
- 45:37Speaker 2: You prayed for a job. You prayed for a job,
- 45:43Speaker 2: cat dog, if you would, I need to pray for
- 45:45Speaker 2: a vacase. You prayed for a job. Let's go get them. Hello,
- 45:50Speaker 2: I'm trying to reach a Carolyn. Please, Carolyn listen. My
- 45:55Speaker 2: name is Lawrence.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Lawrence.
- 45:57Speaker 2: I actually go to the same church you do. I
- 45:59Speaker 2: saw you last Sunday where you stood up in the
- 46:02Speaker 2: church and I heard that you were talking about you
- 46:04Speaker 2: were going through some bad times. Well, your job supposedly
- 46:09Speaker 2: got rid of the department that you're in and you're
- 46:12Speaker 2: now seeking a new type of work. Am I right?
- 46:16Speaker 2: Just work period because you're looking for a new occupation
- 46:19Speaker 2: and you I was there when you asked everybody to
- 46:21Speaker 2: pray for you. Have you Have you found anything yet?
- 46:25Speaker 14: I I've been praying. We prayed again today. I asked
- 46:29Speaker 14: for the church's prayers again today. And I know everythings
- 46:32Speaker 14: gonna work out because you know he said you take
- 46:34Speaker 14: one steps too.
- 46:35Speaker 13: That's right, and I know it's going to happen.
- 46:38Speaker 6: I know.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Well, listen, I think I may be able to be
- 46:41Speaker 2: of some help to you. I actually own my own company,
- 46:44Speaker 2: and I'm thinking that you could be the perfect person
- 46:47Speaker 2: for a position that I have available. Now, what what
- 46:50Speaker 2: type of work would you doing in the past. Give
- 46:52Speaker 2: me some of your job qualifications.
- 46:54Speaker 14: I'm an executive secretary, administrative assistant.
- 46:56Speaker 13: Anything like that.
- 46:58Speaker 14: Who was the mad you even take the arm star shorthand.
- 47:02Speaker 14: I want to do it all if you just tell
- 47:03Speaker 14: me what you need and I can do to have
- 47:05Speaker 14: your executives to come through the office, anything that's needed,
- 47:09Speaker 14: travel expenses, That's what I do.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Okay at too?
- 47:14Speaker 2: What type of hours are you used to working?
- 47:16Speaker 14: Nine to five? Are coming at hey? I don't have
- 47:19Speaker 14: a probably coming at eight. I'm coming even earlier if
- 47:21Speaker 14: you needed to come in earlier.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Are you opposed to working at night?
- 47:24Speaker 14: No, I don't, I don't know. I'm working at night.
- 47:26Speaker 14: I mean it just it just depends, you know, right now,
- 47:29Speaker 14: Burgers can't be choosing I ask him and being given
- 47:32Speaker 14: to me. Okay, well, what kind of hours were looking at?
- 47:35Speaker 2: Have a I have an offer for you that it
- 47:38Speaker 2: would be Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. You will only
- 47:40Speaker 2: be working three days a week.
- 47:42Speaker 14: For me, okay, no, Just you know, I was looking
- 47:45Speaker 14: for something a female hour of a female days any
- 47:47Speaker 14: like full time. I will family well.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Today, right right right, I understand, But listen, I think
- 47:53Speaker 2: the actual amount will suffice for that. Now, I'm going
- 47:57Speaker 2: to offer you seven hundred and fifty dollars per night
- 48:01Speaker 2: for three nights a week. That's that's two thousand, two
- 48:03Speaker 2: hundred and fifty dollars for for those three days for
- 48:07Speaker 2: one week, for lunch, seven hundred and fifty dollars a night,
- 48:13Speaker 2: and you're making around you making so a week, ma'am.
- 48:18Speaker 2: And if you do the math on that, that that
- 48:20Speaker 2: adds up to about nine thousand dollars four months.
- 48:25Speaker 14: For girl to be true. But now I put it
- 48:28Speaker 14: rising with hands, I turned it over that we started it.
- 48:31Speaker 14: I did it, and and you turn on seven hundred
- 48:33Speaker 14: fifty dollars at nine Okay, I mean what done books?
- 48:37Speaker 6: You know?
- 48:37Speaker 14: Because I do the accountant too.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Well, let me say this now. The reason why I
- 48:41Speaker 2: say it's at night is because I own a nightclub
- 48:45Speaker 2: and and you would be working at the night club
- 48:48Speaker 2: for me. So you will put in about four or
- 48:49Speaker 2: five hours every night and for three nights a week
- 48:54Speaker 2: like I stayed at Thursday, Friday, Saturday. And and of
- 48:57Speaker 2: course I'll pay you seven hundred and fifty. Matter of fact,
- 48:59Speaker 2: I'll actually pay you your first two weeks in advance.
- 49:03Speaker 3: And I need that.
- 49:04Speaker 2: No, I'm sure you you know you've you've lost your balance.
- 49:06Speaker 2: You need to get back on your feet and everything.
- 49:09Speaker 14: Yes, yes, yes, okay, so exactly what that you?
- 49:14Speaker 6: You know?
- 49:14Speaker 14: I'll be doing it because I'm sure, like I said,
- 49:15Speaker 14: I can do office work. I'm good. That's not counting
- 49:18Speaker 14: you telling me a clip front door, I can keep
- 49:21Speaker 14: your books going right.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Well, no, not necessarily. I don't need you to work
- 49:25Speaker 2: the front door. I'm actually going to have you in
- 49:28Speaker 2: the club working.
- 49:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 49:30Speaker 2: So I mean, how how is your physical condition? Are
- 49:34Speaker 2: you able to get around and you don't get tired? Quick?
- 49:37Speaker 6: Do you? Now?
- 49:37Speaker 2: You in good physical shape?
- 49:39Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 49:39Speaker 14: Someone, let me get shake. Don't get talt quick at all.
- 49:42Speaker 12: You want to do something like be.
- 49:44Speaker 14: Able to bad tenders or something and work to the
- 49:46Speaker 14: bad and make sure the money and nobody's stealing money
- 49:48Speaker 14: from this something.
- 49:49Speaker 2: No, no, no, you're not at the bar either. See,
- 49:51Speaker 2: because what I'm gonna do now, have you ever done
- 49:53Speaker 2: anything like, you know, anything close to dance or anything
- 49:57Speaker 2: like that.
- 49:57Speaker 3: Have you done that in the past.
- 49:58Speaker 14: Well, I've a little bad when I was younger. Uh
- 50:02Speaker 14: trell scratch.
- 50:03Speaker 7: I mean.
- 50:05Speaker 14: He had go out every once in a while.
- 50:07Speaker 6: You know, you do her dancing here and there? Okay,
- 50:09Speaker 6: the problem moving around?
- 50:11Speaker 2: Okay, well that's good to see. What what I wanted
- 50:13Speaker 2: you to do is I want you to do a
- 50:15Speaker 2: little bit of dancing in the club.
- 50:17Speaker 14: Something you had something like ballroom and dancing or something,
- 50:20Speaker 14: and you mean the teacher. I don't know how to
- 50:22Speaker 14: do the bathroom dance, so I can't work with nobody
- 50:24Speaker 14: on that stuff like that.
- 50:25Speaker 2: No, I'm not asking you to do any ballroom dance
- 50:29Speaker 2: and anything like that. What I need you to do,
- 50:31Speaker 2: I want you to dance on the pole. On the pole.
- 50:35Speaker 2: See I have a strip club.
- 50:36Speaker 3: I want you to dance on the pole.
- 50:39Speaker 14: Pattern the resident room dancing a par well.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Actually I own the Silk Stocking, which is a strip club.
- 50:47Speaker 14: I like a ship stocking.
- 50:51Speaker 6: Want to dress.
- 50:56Speaker 14: I bring my part and more body you can set
- 50:59Speaker 14: that mister with the name let just what let's your mind?
- 51:06Speaker 2: But don't you want to make this money? I got
- 51:07Speaker 2: seven hundred and fifty dollars a night for you.
- 51:09Speaker 14: I don't mean there's some money. I'll tell you right now.
- 51:12Speaker 14: You're in a pair of band. You can put their
- 51:15Speaker 14: pe shove that band. You have no business calling me
- 51:18Speaker 14: about no birth on my part, and I believe you
- 51:20Speaker 14: got nobody the church.
- 51:22Speaker 2: I'm trying to get you a job. Baby.
- 51:23Speaker 3: They told me that you was in need of a job.
- 51:25Speaker 3: So I'm just trying to mean that.
- 51:26Speaker 14: I'm not meaning that turns jam. I'm not meaning my brows.

- 54:08Speaker 11: All right, neph you, thank you. Please help me figure
- 54:11Speaker 11: my man out? Is the subject here. Stephen Shirley. I'm
- 54:14Speaker 11: a fifty one year old married woman and I'm eight
- 54:17Speaker 11: years older than my husband. He is successful, and he
- 54:20Speaker 11: loves the Lord. Those were the two main things I
- 54:24Speaker 11: prayed for when I was dating. God gave me exactly
- 54:27Speaker 11: what I asked for, but I also got lots of
- 54:30Speaker 11: things I didn't ask for. My husband has a quick
- 54:33Speaker 11: tongue and loves to talk back when I'm telling him
- 54:36Speaker 11: how things should be. I know that he hasn't been
- 54:39Speaker 11: exposed too much, so every chance I get, I get
- 54:41Speaker 11: him out of his comfort zone. He wasn't used to
- 54:44Speaker 11: different kinds of food, so I took him to eat
- 54:47Speaker 11: different kinds of seafood and shellfish. I also exposed him
- 54:50Speaker 11: to high end scotch and bourbons because he loves to drink.
- 54:54Speaker 11: He resents the fact that I understand fancy language on
- 54:57Speaker 11: restaurant menus, and he gets me when I order for us.
- 55:01Speaker 11: He's told me that I might as well be the
- 55:03Speaker 11: man in the relationship, and it really makes me sad
- 55:06Speaker 11: for him. I'm only trying to bring him up to
- 55:09Speaker 11: speed so he can get to my level and have
- 55:12Speaker 11: a finer way of living. I've asked him to take
- 55:14Speaker 11: me to a Broadway play for my birthday, and he
- 55:17Speaker 11: told me to plan it like I plan everything else,
- 55:19Speaker 11: and he'll go. I took offense to that because it's
- 55:22Speaker 11: time for him to take the lead. I cannot figure
- 55:25Speaker 11: this man out. If I lead, he gets upset. When
- 55:28Speaker 11: I tell him what I want him to do for me,
- 55:30Speaker 11: he gets upset. We've been married for going on two
- 55:33Speaker 11: years and we still have a.
- 55:34Speaker 15: Way to go on him being cultured.
- 55:37Speaker 11: If I left it up to him, we'd eat dinner
- 55:39Speaker 11: in front of the TV every night and he'd never
- 55:42Speaker 11: have a passport. I took this man out of the
- 55:44Speaker 11: country for the first time, so I need a little
- 55:47Speaker 11: more respect from him.
- 55:49Speaker 15: How can he be so resentful when I'm trying to
- 55:51Speaker 15: help him experience the good life. No, what you're doing
- 55:56Speaker 15: is trying to change this man. I mean, you're trying
- 55:58Speaker 15: to make him into who you you want him to be.
- 56:01Speaker 15: He is who he is, and you can't change that.
- 56:04Speaker 15: He doesn't like it when you're He doesn't like what
- 56:07Speaker 15: you're doing, and he resents it. You said that he's resentful.
- 56:11Speaker 15: You married who you married. Just because you're older than
- 56:14Speaker 15: him doesn't mean you can treat him like that. You're
- 56:17Speaker 15: not his mother, you're his wife. You're telling him what
- 56:20Speaker 15: to do, You're telling him what to eat, what to drink,
- 56:23Speaker 15: you're ordering for him. You're emasculating this poor man, and
- 56:26Speaker 15: he's sick of it.
- 56:28Speaker 11: Maybe he does want to experience the good life, but
- 56:31Speaker 11: not with you shoving it down his throat and treating
- 56:33Speaker 11: him like he's less than, like he's subpar. Accept him
- 56:37Speaker 11: for who he is first, Since you married him like this,
- 56:40Speaker 11: you knew what you were getting when you married him,
- 56:42Speaker 11: then maybe he'll want to change because you don't make
- 56:46Speaker 11: the good life as you call it, sound good at all.
- 56:49Speaker 11: You don't make it like you don't make it sound good.
- 56:51Speaker 11: And if you keep this up, you're going to lose
- 56:53Speaker 11: this man.
- 56:54Speaker 4: Steve, ma'am.
- 56:56Speaker 3: The subject of your letter, excuse me. The subject of
- 57:01Speaker 3: your letter is please help me figure my man out. Now,
- 57:07Speaker 3: that's an easy one for me because men are so simple,
- 57:12Speaker 3: so so simple. If the letter was help me figure
- 57:15Speaker 3: my woman out, we be in here all day because
- 57:19Speaker 3: good luck to the person that can do that. And
- 57:22Speaker 3: women know that women know they are more complex than men.
- 57:27Speaker 3: Men are very very simple. The problem that you need
- 57:31Speaker 3: to fix is not your man. Who you need to
- 57:35Speaker 3: fix is yourself. The reason you having problems with your
- 57:39Speaker 3: man is because of the way you going about it.
- 57:43Speaker 3: I don't know what it is, man that you're not getting,
- 57:46Speaker 3: But let me try to help you. You fifty one
- 57:50Speaker 3: year old married woman, and you eight years older than
- 57:53Speaker 3: your husband. If you don't think that you're using that
- 57:56Speaker 3: to your advantage, you're sadly mistaken. It's the first thing
- 58:00Speaker 3: you mentioned in this letter. All you had to do
- 58:04Speaker 3: was say I've been married. I'm married to my husband,
- 58:09Speaker 3: and he is successful and he loves the Lord. Now,
- 58:14Speaker 3: those are the two main things you prayed for when
- 58:16Speaker 3: you was dating, and God gave you exactly what you
- 58:19Speaker 3: asked for. You asked for a man who loved the
- 58:22Speaker 3: Lord and a man who was successful. Well, how did
- 58:26Speaker 3: he get to be successful? He's obviously done a number
- 58:31Speaker 3: of things correct because he found out that the key
- 58:35Speaker 3: to his success is faith, and he's put in the
- 58:38Speaker 3: work to become successful. So you got it, but you
- 58:43Speaker 3: also got a lot of things you didn't ask for.
- 58:47Speaker 3: My husband has a quick tongue and he loves to
- 58:50Speaker 3: talk back when I'm telling you him how things should be.
- 58:52Speaker 3: Excuse me, when you type that line right there, you
- 58:56Speaker 3: ain't read it. We got a quick tongue and he
- 59:01Speaker 3: loved to talk back when I'm telling him how things
- 59:04Speaker 3: should be. Really, okay, you're telling this successful man who
- 59:11Speaker 3: you prayed for, who oh, by the way, loves the
- 59:15Speaker 3: Lord like you asked for. But let's just stay with
- 59:18Speaker 3: the successful part, which means he has known how to
- 59:21Speaker 3: do something right to get y'all in the position. All
- 59:24Speaker 3: this traveling you doing and fine restaurants and stuff. Hello, Hello,
- 59:32Speaker 3: he has made this affordable. Now I'm not saying what
- 59:35Speaker 3: you do don't count. That ain't what I'm saying. So
- 59:37Speaker 3: before y'all said she can have our own money, she don't.
- 59:40Speaker 3: She don't, she don't. She prayed for a successful man
- 59:45Speaker 3: that loves the Lord. She got him. So he's making
- 59:48Speaker 3: a huge contribution to all this traveling, passport and all
- 59:52Speaker 3: this stuff. Okay, Now he loved to talk back when
- 59:56Speaker 3: I'm telling him how things should be. Listen to yourself,
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Shirley said it best. You're nagging the man. Do you
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: know what nagging is, ladies? Nagging is actually tone and timing.
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: It's the way you say it and when you say it,
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: which turns it from talking into nagging. And once you nagging,
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: we threw with you. All right, I got a whole
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: lot more when we come back.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve.
- 1:00:24Speaker 11: Yeah, we'll have part two of your response coming up
- 1:00:27Speaker 11: at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today Strawberry Letters,
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: subject please help Me figure my man out. We'll get
- 1:00:33Speaker 11: back into it right after this.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: You're listening Steve.
- 1:00:36Speaker 9: Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:00:37Speaker 11: All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letter,
- 1:00:41Speaker 11: the subject please help me figure my man out.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: The problem in this letter really is not your man.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: The problem in this letter is you. So you can't
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: change your man, but you can change how you approach
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: your man, which is I think this is a problem. Now,
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: you said, you a fifty one year old married woman
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: to a man who's eight years younger than you. Okay,
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: you had to tell us that because you want us
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: to show. You want to demonstrate throughout the letter how
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: you're more knowledgeable than he is and how you have
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: an upper hand over here. That's what you wanted us
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: to do. Now, your man, you say, is successful and
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: he loves the Lord. You said, those are the two
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: main things that you prayed for, and that's exactly what
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: God gave you. And then you say you also got
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: a lot of stuff that you didn't ask for, Like
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: number one, your husband has a quick tongue. He loved
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: to talk back when I'm telling him how things should be.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: I don't know if you read that, but do you
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: sound crazy? He loved to talk back when I'm telling
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: him how things should be. You ain't his mama, You're
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: his damn wife. Now you got this successful man all
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: of a sudden, he can't do nothing right. You're nagging
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: this man. Let me remind you all what nagging is.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: Nagging is tone and timing, Ladies. It turns into nagging
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: when you change your tone and the timing that you use.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: And ain't nobody trying to hear all that? Also, I
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: know that he hasn't been exposed to so much, so
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: every chance I get, I get him out of his
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: comfort zone. He wasn't used to different kinds of food,
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: so I took him to eat different kinds of seafood
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: and selfish seafood and shellfish. These are shrimp, This is crab.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: That is a lobster. These are mussels.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: Lady.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Okay, now I'm assuming you got a country boy corn bread, hawks, greens, pintos, chicken,
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: fried steak, turkey dressing. But now you got him all
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: up here to eat all kinds of seafood and shellfish. Okay,
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: thank you, also exposed in the high end scotching bourbons
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: because he loves to drink. Well, you got a successful man,
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: the loved the lord that drink a lot. You can
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: turn him on to high end scotching bourbies. I show
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: wish I knew the names of these, because would open
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: up this letter for me. I don't know what you've
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: introduced him to and what he was drinking, but I
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: sure want to know what it was, because I bet
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: i'd be on here hollering. He resents the fact that
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: I understand fancy language on restaurant menus lady, Now, we've
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: all been to fancy restaurants, Italian restaurants. They'll have an
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: Italian name, but under it it will be in English
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: what it translates to. So you ain't just in here
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: reading five different languages. You ain't at the Chinese restaurant
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: just reading all this stuff in the you ask him
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: for number seven, just like the rest of us. You
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: ain't in the Chinese restaurant reading all that writing and
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: going backwards. You ain't. No, no, no, no no no.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: So I already know, and he gets mad when I
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: order for us. See now, I'm gonna tell you something.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: You stay out front. You're talking to him. You don't
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: like his quick tongue when he talking back to you,
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: when you're telling him something. You in here, you're telling
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: him what to drink, and now you're ordering in the restaurant.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: He get mad when I ordered for us because you
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: keep running out in front. You know it might take
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: him a little bit longer. But maybe he didn't want
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: that to eat. Now you ought telling him what to say,
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: telling him what to drink. Now you're telling him what
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: to eat. He don't want that. He told me that
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: I might as well be the man in the relationship
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: because that's how you act, and it really makes me
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: sad for him. I'm only trying to bring him up
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: to speed so he can get to my level and
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: have a finer way of living. Well, if you was
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: all that what you need the successful man for, you
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: do remember what you asked God for?
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: So if you was all that, on that all that level,
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: but you know what you was, You was on that
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: level by your damn self, cause you done ran everybody
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: else off just like this, then God finally send you
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: what you want and you're finn run this one off.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: You're busy, boss, you're busy taking charge and you're busy
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: running out front. Now the man then told you you
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: might as well be the man in the relationship. I've
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: asked him to take me to a Broadway play for
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: my birthday. He told you, playing it like you're playing
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: everything else, and he'll go cause he already know what
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: he gonna plan. Ain't gonna be up to speed, So
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: playing it and I go. I took offense to that,
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: or now you mad? I'm telling him what to eat
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: and drink. I can't figure this man out. If I lead,
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: he gets some say why don't you quit leading? She
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: gonna sit your ass down somewhere. You asked for a
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: successful man, he got it. Get your girl friends to
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: go eat all that craw fishing at two fee and
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: all that he wants some damn popeyes. Man, Sometimes man,
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: you don't for real. Man, for real, dog. We been
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: married going on two years and we still have to
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: We still have a ways to go and getting him cultured.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: He ain't cultured.
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: He country.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: If I left it up to him, weed eat dinner
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: front of TV every night. I took this man out
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: to country for the first time, so he need to
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: be a little more respectful for me. How can he
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: be so disrespectful when I'm helping experience good life? He
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: already had a good life. Oh he met you, He
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: was already successful and he knew the Lord. He should
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: have left your bullshyr ass where you was. He don't
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: want no more damn shell fish. And he don't want
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: no more moose i Lai. He wants some grease.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Post your comments on today's hand with Greens.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: And macnis Roger learn how to make some mac of
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: cheese satorr taking me all the way.
- 1:06:37Speaker 11: Downhill at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook, and
- 1:06:41Speaker 11: check out the Strawberry letter.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: But no carry on, I want the fish that head eggs.
- 1:06:46Speaker 15: On the free Heart Radio app.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Free Never sounded so good? Downloaded today.

- 1:07:05Speaker 1: you got Junior, Well, you know, we enjoyed this Olympics

- 1:07:09Speaker 10: You know this today the men's basketball and women's basketball
- 1:07:13Speaker 10: team are playing today the United States, So we all
- 1:07:16Speaker 10: happens there.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: We know we got the gold in both of these.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: They they it ain't close right now, there's.
- 1:07:22Speaker 10: Something we have to get to that's more important anything,
- 1:07:24Speaker 10: because it's called the Steve Parker Who Olympic Hood Report.
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: This absolutely good morning everybody. Here's the Hood Olympic Report.
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: Congratulations to some on bows for winning the overall goal
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: in the Olympics. And uh, she lost in the balance
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: beam individual cause she fell off. I don't know how
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: she stayed up there any damn way. She was gonna
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: slightly hurt. It's amazing that she was on that beam anything.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: And then she came back and she took in the
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: in the flow or she took a selma because she
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: heard herself. Then they had a controversy in the floor
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: exercise where they had gave a bronze medal to the
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: girl from Spain and then she was standing up there
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: holding the flag and then they had a reviewer and
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: they gave it to the American Jordan. And so that
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: was a miss Universe moment for her. Ass she had
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: to lay her flag down and she was crying. I
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: felt so bad for her. But the relief that was
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: on my face because once again to know that somebody
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: else and gave out the wrong damn name. The joy
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: that runs through my body is overwhelming. So sorry about
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: the little girl that lost, but glad it wasn't me though,
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: And lord, I know how you feel. Yeah, at least
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: I did in practice for four years and they took
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: it from me. Mind wasn't nothing but a beauty pageant
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: wasn't yours to win, So you're lost. That's all I
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: got to say to it. Also, doing the one hundred Wonder,
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: say congratulations to Noel Lives. He won a hundred. He
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: eked out the Jamaicans, even though I always been pulling
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: for the Jamaicans because they're my people. They want it anyway.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: And then silver go to Fred Curly and the gold
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: go to Noah Lyles and then the boy out of
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: Jamaica took the silver. So that was good. All black
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: podium on that one. Also want to send a shout
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: out to anybody that synchronized swim. Anytime you can turn
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: your ass upside down in the water and still stay
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: in the water is amazing to me because once my
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: face go in the water and I turned upside down,
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: I got to get out and blow my nose, So
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: congratulations to all the synchronized swimmers, and two white dudes
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: want to hammer. Congratulations to that. Also, Chicai Richardson is
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: a new track star. She wanted silver in the hundred.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: Congratulations to the black girl from Lucia once again, all
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: black girl podium, and then the all black girl podium
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: goes to Congratulations to the little black girl from Brazil
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: for winning the flow exercise. Simon took second, that Jordan
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: took third. It's been an all black thing right there,
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: but we're gonna keep it hood right here.
- 1:10:00Speaker 11: Coming up at the top of the hour, a man
- 1:10:02Speaker 11: on social media needs some advice about his wife. He
- 1:10:05Speaker 11: says his wife is uncomfortable after some swingers tried to
- 1:10:08Speaker 11: holler at her at a party. We'll talk about that
- 1:10:11Speaker 11: right after this.
- 1:10:12Speaker 9: You're listening hard Morning Show.
- 1:10:15Speaker 11: All right, Steve, This is from g on Reddit. Ge says,
- 1:10:21Speaker 11: over the weekend, I was excited to be invited to
- 1:10:23Speaker 11: a surprise birthday party for a friend I hadn't seen
- 1:10:26Speaker 11: since college. My wife went with me, and it was
- 1:10:29Speaker 11: supposed to be a great time as I introduced her
- 1:10:31Speaker 11: to people from my past and exchanged old stories. That
- 1:10:35Speaker 11: all backfired. However, when one couple there whom I've never
- 1:10:39Speaker 11: met before, made it clear that they were swingers and
- 1:10:42Speaker 11: very interested in us, my wife tuned them out and
- 1:10:46Speaker 11: now refuses to ever go to another party with old
- 1:10:48Speaker 11: friends of mine. And she's even questioning whether I've been
- 1:10:51Speaker 11: honest with her about my past or what I'm interested
- 1:10:54Speaker 11: in sexually. It's not a lifestyle I've never participated in,
- 1:11:00Speaker 11: nor have I ever wanted to. But it seems like
- 1:11:02Speaker 11: now I'm guilty by association. Is there any getting past this?
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Well, bruh?
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: I mean, obviously some of your old friends have some
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: people in their life that are suspect, And I don't
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: know why you would keep wanting to take your wife
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: around somebody that can raise questions and start fires in
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: your own house. I wouldn't do it. So you trying
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: to make your wife still go to these parties with
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: your old friends. You know? Sometimes, man, you gotta cut
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: people loose, you know. Man, My daddy always says something,
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: everybody come with you can't go with you. It's people
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: in your life that's in your life for a season.
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: You gotta start recognizing that just because you hung with
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: somebody doing a certain time in your life. It don't
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: mean you need to hang with them now. Some people
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: never change. Just hey man, everybody, everybody ain't fight you
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: no more, you know, And the average person has has
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: trouble with that because you think you're supposed to stay
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: loyal to relationship. The relationships is in your past. Man.
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: You ain't got to stay with them kind.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Of people for the movie. I mean, we can't just
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: go look and just see what they're talking about. See
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: there right there, I mean just to see I just
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: see what they're doing. Now, your wife back at the house, Well,
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: what is all this? What is they looking upside my
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: head phone?
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: And your friends? So what was you doing? I ain't
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: never been interested in that, but every time they go
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: something like that pop up. Quite exposing your wife to that?
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: Get some new.
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: Friends, okay, all right?
- 1:12:44Speaker 11: Being Steve Harvey says, my ex cheated on me with
- 1:12:47Speaker 11: another guy for three months before I found out and
- 1:12:50Speaker 11: we broke up over it. I just learned that he's
- 1:12:53Speaker 11: married and has two kids. I've moved on, but I
- 1:12:56Speaker 11: feel bad for his poor wife. Should I tell her
- 1:12:58Speaker 11: about her cheating husband? Or just mind my own business?
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: Man? Come on, dog, for real, I've got nothing to do.
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: With you, bro, you feel bad for his cheating one?
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: Now you don't you feel bad because your girl stepped
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: out on you with this married man. Now you're trying
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: to lie I feel bad for now? You don't, man,
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: Stop that you don't even know this woman? You feel
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: bad for his wife? Should I tell her?
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: No?
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: You just trying to get back at the Doe for
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: scooping your girl up. Who wasn't your girl to begin with?
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: If they can be scooped, they ain't yours to begin with.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: Now what you all are telling this woman you don't
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: even know her?
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: Man?
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: Right?
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: Dog? Come on, man, dog, dog, you got to take
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: this al on the jaw. You got hit in the
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: mouth and you gotta just take this hell, that's all
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: take air man, Okay, Sorry, how you going down there
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: talking to this woman? Folk? You know, I just feel
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: so bad for you, Clarissa, I mean Patricia, I mean Dane.
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: You don't even know how.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: Yeah, he's trying to get back at the husband.
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: You're right, that's all that is. Man. No, come on, man? Yeah, wow, bro,
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: your problem maint with him, your problem with your girl,
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: your ex?
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Well, they broke up, Yeah, yeah, it happens.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: They broke up Yeah, that's life man, stuff like that happening.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: I feel so bad for her. Boy, boy, boy, it
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: ain't a man listening to this radio show talking about
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: I feel bad for hunting man. Come on, bro, come on,
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: they know what it is.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: I know what it is. All right.
- 1:14:47Speaker 11: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:14:50Speaker 11: up at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening.
- 1:14:55Speaker 9: Harty Morning Show.
- 1:14:58Speaker 11: The Frontier Airlines flight from if You Send to Dallas
- 1:15:01Speaker 11: was canceled last week. Even though the plane was in
- 1:15:03Speaker 11: good condition, the weather was perfect, and the passengers were
- 1:15:06Speaker 11: ready to board. The problem was that there was no pilot.
- 1:15:10Speaker 11: You see, the pilot had just been pulled off the
- 1:15:12Speaker 11: plane in handcuffs. Uh huh. Passengers waiting at the gate
- 1:15:16Speaker 11: watched out the window as cops led the pilot off
- 1:15:19Speaker 11: the plane in handcuffs.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: And put him in the back of a police car.
- 1:15:23Speaker 11: The Houston Police Department later identified the pilots as forty
- 1:15:26Speaker 11: five year old Seymour Walker and said he was arrested
- 1:15:29Speaker 11: on a warrant related to an alleged assault on a
- 1:15:32Speaker 11: family member. What this, no replacement pilot was available, the
- 1:15:36Speaker 11: flight was canceled passengers were offered either a full refund
- 1:15:41Speaker 11: credit or reaccommodation on the next available Frontier flight later
- 1:15:46Speaker 11: that even evening. Can you guys imagine sitting on a
- 1:15:49Speaker 11: plane and your pilot gets arrested?
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: What is that about? Walker? The walkers sounded like nothing more.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: I'd be kind of grateful, though. That's pretty good. Yeah,
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: that might have been a bad day for him anyway,
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: he's been up there thinking about ending there. Now, let's
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: get his ass off the plane. Give me that credit,
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: y'all talking about?
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: Or he get up in there and then he decided
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: to fly somewhere else because to avoid detection now too much?
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: And that's Seymour is for brother Paul Seymour. He's black.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Tell me you were right.
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: I told you be Mowalker.
- 1:16:35Speaker 11: All right, coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:16:38Speaker 11: we'll play around him.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Would you rather?
- 1:16:39Speaker 11: Right after this, you're listening morning show and it's time
- 1:16:45Speaker 11: now for a round of would you rather? Would you
- 1:16:47Speaker 11: rather babysit crying infant twins for a day or would
- 1:16:51Speaker 11: you rather have an unwanted house guest for two weeks?
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: No, give me them baby twins?
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: Give I know how to shut him down, get a
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: baby for a day, a little bit of Hennessy in
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: that milk, that they'd be good.
- 1:17:05Speaker 11: Have you seen them for throwing cheese on the baby's
- 1:17:08Speaker 11: head and make some stuff crying on Instagram?
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Cheese on their heads?
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: What the hell?
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: I'm crying instantly and you can eat your cheese.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:17:23Speaker 11: Would you rather go back to the age of thirteen
- 1:17:26Speaker 11: with the same knowledge you have now or would you
- 1:17:29Speaker 11: rather get a million dollars in cash right now?
- 1:17:32Speaker 10: I'm gonna take a million dollars in cash right now,
- 1:17:34Speaker 10: because I can't go back smarter than my.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: Father right now.
- 1:17:36Speaker 10: He said, you to think you know something, you think
- 1:17:39Speaker 10: you know more than me. See, that's an ass whooping
- 1:17:42Speaker 10: right there, Devi's not gonna be coming there knowing moreed him.
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: Do you think you know more than me? As a
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: matter of fact, I do. That's depth. No, I'm gonna
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: take a million dollars. I don't need to go back
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: to thirteen.
- 1:17:58Speaker 11: Just knowing what I know, knowing what you know now,
- 1:18:02Speaker 11: You wouldn't go back and go back to thirteen thirteen thirteen?
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: You know you know what.
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: Waiting on the bathroom? I ain't.
- 1:18:20Speaker 11: Hell no, would you rather be in the Olympics and
- 1:18:24Speaker 11: compete in archery, or would you rather do table tennis
- 1:18:28Speaker 11: the way?
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: You need to get out the way, because either it
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: is and.
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: I don't know, man, I like either one of them. Really,
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: I mean, if I was at that level, tennis, table
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: table tennis, ping pong, not ping pong, liquid play.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: Yeahnis, what it is?
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: All right? So it's continuing with the Olympics theme.
- 1:18:53Speaker 11: If you were on the if you were on the
- 1:18:55Speaker 11: basketball team playing for the team's gold medal, would you
- 1:18:59Speaker 11: rather take winning shot or would you rather pass the
- 1:19:02Speaker 11: ball to your teammates.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: I'm passing. I'm not passing. Yeah, your step step here
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: is right here, here here, give it a whole lot
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: of people.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: I can throw this ball to who you don't won't
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: taking that shot at me?
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: Not for the gold.
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: All right?
- 1:19:19Speaker 11: Would you rather every shirt you wear be slightly itchy
- 1:19:23Speaker 11: or would you rather only be able to use single
- 1:19:26Speaker 11: ply toilet paper?
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: God, the shirt, the shirt is just slightly itchy?
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I want.
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: My daddy's specialty was buying that Scotch because it was
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: always on sale. Scott, I learned the hard way what
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: that was.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: That's why you don't want to be thirteen anymore?
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: All right, how many times I surprised myself.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Thank you guys. That's today's round U.
- 1:20:00Speaker 11: Next year is our last break of the day and
- 1:20:02Speaker 11: will close out the show with one and only Steve
- 1:20:05Speaker 11: Harvey right after this.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 1:20:09Speaker 9: Morning show?
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: All right, Steve? Here, we are our last break of
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: the day on this Tuesday.
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: You know, and close it.
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: I want to I want to say something to people
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: about uh in being being encouraging.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: I hope that in my legacy when people talk about
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: me when I'm when I'm gone, I want people to
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: one of the things I want them to say was
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: he took the time to stop to enlighten other people.
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: He took the time to encourage young people. He took
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: the time out of his day, his schedule to invest money, effort,
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: and everything into just trying to empower other people.
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: I think that's an important thing for me. You know,
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: And as I sit here in my life and I
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: meet people from everywhere who who stopped me and say,
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: hey man, I saw a video of yours that really
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: encouraged me, Or hey man, I was watching a motivational
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: thing and you popped up and you said something that
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: really helped me. You know, we sit on these mics,
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: all of us. We come on this show every morning,
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: Shirley Carl or Tommy Junior, Monica and we and we
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: do stuff, and we really don't know the full effect
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: that it has. You know, how many people count on
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: us in the morning to be a part of their
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: morning drive or their morning routine or whatever the case,
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: or getting off work listening to us, or whether it's
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: the opening, whether it's the enjoyment of giving them a
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: laugh or they go into work or whatever it is.
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: And we just don't know. But we just kind of
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: hope that we become or are or are impactful to
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: peopful people. And that's that's one of my hopes. Man.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: I want to say something everybody out there to day,
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: listen to me. God loves you, she really does. And
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: he created you with a purpose. God has a plan
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: for you. When he made you. None of you were accidents.
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: Whether you know your parents or not have a relationship
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: with one of them or don't have a relationship. The
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: fact that you were here was because God wanted you
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: here for whatever that purpose or reason, and that purpose
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: or reason is to prosper you. Now in prospering you.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: It doesn't mean that your life won't have setbacks and challenges,
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: because it will. There's this thing called life that happens
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: to all of us. All of us experience grief, all
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: of us experience sorrow, pains, disappointments, set backs, cancelations, repossessions,
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: all of us man firings. All of us experienced this
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: thing called life. But if you have a relationship with God,
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: God enables you to endure the process of life. And
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: it's okay that you're experiencing life because everybody, listen, everybody's
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: handling it the same way, not handling it the same way,
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: but it's happening to everybody the same way. You ain't
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: the only person with some problems. You ain't the only
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: person facing challenges. You ain't the only person feeling disappointment.
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: You ain't the only person that ain't found the right
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: one for you. But if you form a relationship with God,
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: God helps you endure all these things and gives you
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: a measure of peace that you can have within yourself
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: to help you endure. I can't tell you how many
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: times God's presence in my life has provided me a peace.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: You know, I watched such some dude on the Internet.
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: I don't know who he was. Nice God, Oh, he
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: was just talking about how your failures become so public
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: now because of cyberspace, because of the Internet. Any of
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: your failures, I don't care what it is, it becomes
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: so public now. What you used to suffer within silence
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: is now done publicly. And it ain't even you that's
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: got to put it out there. It's just as soon
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: as somebody find out something wrong in your life, they
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: posted about show life, and they make you the focus
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: so they can get clicks and likes and views and
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: all this here, and it just makes life even more
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: increasingly difficult. I'll just tell you it is. It's harder
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: for younger people to grow up now, it's harder to
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: stay married now, it's harder to survive the influx of
- 1:24:40Speaker 3: life situations now because people take it upon themselves to
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: make your failures so public. I can't tell you how
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: many public failures I've had to endure, but in the
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: quietness of my life, how many times because of the
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: relationship I had with God, He'd have wrapped his around
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: me and raising me up out the mud. Now, whether
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: y'all see it or not, The fact that you are
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: still here is evidence enough that God is working in
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: your life. The fact that I'm still here, that no
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: matter what they say about you, no matter what they've
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: said about me, in spite of it all, you'll still here.
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: That's God that worked behind closed doors. Now, if you
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: have the ability to rejoice in it and give God
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: the credit and glory, then wonderful. But I can't tell
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: you how many times He didn't tape me up, bandaged
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: me up, lifted me up and propped me up in
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: the quiet of my home while everybody was still laughing.
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: Do you know how many people laughing at you at
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: your job and your family and on the inter andet
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: about something that happened to you a long time ago,
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: and they keep rehashing it, bringing it up. Man, Stop
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: letting people do that to you. If God got you
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: through it, move on. Quit letting people bury you with
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: your past. If you have someone in your life that
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: is constantly reminding you of who you were and what
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: you did, man, get rid of them people. God is
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: in the blessing business. But more importantly for all of us,
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: God is in the forgiving business. God forgives people. Man,
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: He's forgiving me a thousand times, I probably need a
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: thousand more. Pick yourself up and gone about your business, man,
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: and stop worrying about what other people have to say
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: about you, because they are not the architect of your
