- 0:00Speaker 1: Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest, Emma Stone, and Nathan
- 0:04Speaker 1: Fielder's show, The Curse is hard to pigeonhole into a
- 0:07Speaker 1: specific genre.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Is it a comedy, a drama, psychologic horror. It's funny
- 0:11Speaker 2: but also intense and disturbing and oftentimes you're not sure
- 0:14Speaker 2: how you're supposed to react to any particular scene. But
- 0:17Speaker 2: it was classified as a drama for Awards submissions. Though
- 0:20Speaker 2: Emma tells The Hollywood Reporter of her own definition of
- 0:23Speaker 2: the show was constantly evolving. She says, with the initial
- 0:25Speaker 2: idea of the show and the pilot's script, it was
- 0:28Speaker 2: definitely more overtly comedic. It was like a half hour comedy,
- 0:31Speaker 2: and that's what was sold to Showtime. Then they were
- 0:33Speaker 2: shocked to discover it was a one hour drama, and
- 0:35Speaker 2: that sort of developed as they wrote the show, and
- 0:37Speaker 2: I got more and more intense as time went on.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I was shocked to me, it's decidedly not the comedy.
- 0:42Speaker 2: But that wasn't what I thought going in.
- 0:44Speaker 1: You can stream The Curse on Showtime that's direct from Hollywood.
