- 2:10Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yoh man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: God is in the blessing business all day every day.
- 2:19Speaker 1: God got hundreds of millions of blessings that he passes
- 2:23Speaker 1: out every day. All I wanna do is be the
- 2:28Speaker 1: recipient that I'm the recipient of what He has for me.
- 2:34Speaker 1: That's all I want. I just want God's favor and
- 2:38Speaker 1: I go. I want God's blessings. You know, of course
- 2:42Speaker 1: I need his mercy and his grace, but I just
- 2:45Speaker 1: want his blessings and his favor. I want. I want
- 2:51Speaker 1: that in my life because it does things for me
- 2:53Speaker 1: that I'm absolutely incapable of doing for myself. And I've
- 2:58Speaker 1: been a recipient of many of those and you can
- 3:01Speaker 1: be the recipient of them too. You already are, really, really,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you already are. If you're getting up every morning, that's
- 3:09Speaker 1: a blessed. If you're getting one day closer to anything
- 3:13Speaker 1: you're trying to accomplish, that's a blessing. But now let's
- 3:17Speaker 1: let me let me talk to you about this part
- 3:19Speaker 1: right here, folks, because this is the part that messages
- 3:21Speaker 1: people up a great deal. What happens when you get
- 3:24Speaker 1: off track? What is that? What does that mean? When
- 3:29Speaker 1: you get off track? See, I've been off track. I
- 3:34Speaker 1: can't tell you how many times, and it happens in
- 3:38Speaker 1: so many aspects of your life. But but what is
- 3:41Speaker 1: it that makes getting off track so debilitating to some people?
- 3:46Speaker 1: You know, there are some people who want to stay
- 3:48Speaker 1: off track, They off course, they off the dream, they
- 3:52Speaker 1: own to something else. And you cannot allow the fact
- 3:56Speaker 1: that you've gotten off track to stop you can. I
- 4:01Speaker 1: tell you something. Everybody gets off track. Nobody does a
- 4:07Speaker 1: diet exactly, meal per meal, calorie by calorie exactly. Everybody
- 4:15Speaker 1: makes mistakes. But somehow there are people who have made
- 4:20Speaker 1: a success of themselves. There are people who are living
- 4:25Speaker 1: their life's dreams. There are people who lose weight in
- 4:31Speaker 1: spite of getting off track. See what happens when you
- 4:34Speaker 1: get off track. Here's the simple thing to do. The
- 4:38Speaker 1: simple thing is just to get back on track. Now
- 4:40Speaker 1: that's that's But that's easier said than done, ain't it,
- 4:43Speaker 1: Steve Yeah? Because see people, when you get off track.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Here's some of the things that happened. See you get
- 4:50Speaker 1: the Here comes tony sayers, some of them from the outside,
- 4:55Speaker 1: some of them internally. Here's what gets said when you
- 4:59Speaker 1: get off track. See I told you, I told you,
- 5:06Speaker 1: you know you. You you start hearing that it's not
- 5:09Speaker 1: for you. Okay, this is all just because you got
- 5:15Speaker 1: off track. It's not for you. Okay. Here's another one.
- 5:20Speaker 1: It ain't meant to be. You can hear it all.
- 5:23Speaker 1: You could say it. Well, I guess it's just not
- 5:26Speaker 1: meant to be. These are all things that people say
- 5:30Speaker 1: to themselves once they get off track. You can't do it, well,
- 5:37Speaker 1: I don't guess I can do it. Here's another one.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I thought you said that you was gonna make it.
- 5:45Speaker 1: You know I was show hoping I could have made it.
- 5:48Speaker 1: It comes external or internal. But these are just some
- 5:51Speaker 1: of the things that's that I thought you said you
- 5:55Speaker 1: was gonna lose weight. Well, you know I had tried
- 5:58Speaker 1: to lose some weight. I'm just going down the list
- 6:02Speaker 1: of some of the things that goes through a person's
- 6:05Speaker 1: mind when they get off track. But let me ask
- 6:09Speaker 1: you a question, though, who made the rule that when
- 6:13Speaker 1: you get off track you can't get back on? Who
- 6:18Speaker 1: Who made that rule? Where has that written that once
- 6:21Speaker 1: you get off track you can't get back on? See,
- 6:26Speaker 1: because I'm gonna tell you something, folks, there's no such rule.
- 6:30Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, it's it's quite the opposite. See,
- 6:35Speaker 1: everybody in pursuit of a dream, a goal and aspiration
- 6:40Speaker 1: or a mission, it's going to get off track. Sometimes
- 6:45Speaker 1: you're going to get derailed. They're going to be days
- 6:48Speaker 1: where you're not going to get it right. That are
- 6:50Speaker 1: going to be days where you feel like giving up.
- 6:53Speaker 1: There's going to be days when you're just gonna flat
- 6:55Speaker 1: out get it wrong. That's the journey. But let me
- 6:59Speaker 1: tell you something. Every successful person that I know ever
- 7:02Speaker 1: met talked to set out and chopped it up with
- 7:05Speaker 1: have shared one thing in common. We all get off track.
- 7:10Speaker 1: We all get it wrong along the way. I don't
- 7:13Speaker 1: care who the person is. The president got it wrong
- 7:16Speaker 1: along the way. Your pastor got it wrong along the way,
- 7:22Speaker 1: quite director who I got it wrong along the way.
- 7:25Speaker 1: The principle at your school got it wrong along the way.
- 7:29Speaker 1: The valor victoria of your class got it wrong along
- 7:33Speaker 1: the way. The star of the team got it wrong
- 7:38Speaker 1: along the way. They've all been off track. Your boss
- 7:43Speaker 1: down at your job, he got it wrong along the way.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Your immediate supervisor got it wrong along the way. Everybody
- 7:52Speaker 1: I know that has any measure of success in every
- 7:55Speaker 1: in every level that you call success, however you want
- 7:58Speaker 1: to label it, has gotten off track. As a matter
- 8:03Speaker 1: of fact, it's impossible. Listen to me. It is um
- 8:09Speaker 1: possible not to get off track in pursuit of your dreams, goals, visions, aspirations.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It is impossible. Don't you let nobody tell you that
- 8:22Speaker 1: they got through life unscathed, that they made it because
- 8:26Speaker 1: they was just so determined and I would let nothing
- 8:28Speaker 1: turn me back. Yeah, you might not have let nothing
- 8:31Speaker 1: turn you back because you're here. Oh but you thought
- 8:34Speaker 1: about it, Oh you thought about it on days when
- 8:38Speaker 1: you was off track. But see, people don't like to
- 8:40Speaker 1: tell the whole story. They just want you to think
- 8:43Speaker 1: as much as you can about them. So when they
- 8:46Speaker 1: tell you their story, they leave out the stuff alone.
- 8:50Speaker 1: The way, it was just hard work and determination that
- 8:53Speaker 1: got me here. No it wasn't, No, it wasn't. It
- 8:56Speaker 1: was the fact that you got off track and the
- 8:58Speaker 1: grace and mercy of God allowed you to get back on.
- 9:02Speaker 1: His forgiveness allowed you to get back on because you
- 9:05Speaker 1: would not believe what some of the people have done.
- 9:09Speaker 1: So when you get off track, don't allow the nay
- 9:12Speaker 1: sayers outside and the big nay sayer inside, because let
- 9:16Speaker 1: me tell you something, the biggest nay sayer of them
- 9:19Speaker 1: all comes from inside. See, it don't matter what other
- 9:23Speaker 1: people say out there. They takes some time for you
- 9:25Speaker 1: to learn this. And I understand because it took me
- 9:27Speaker 1: some time to learn it. See, I have a lot
- 9:29Speaker 1: of nay sayers out there, but I ain't operating for them,
- 9:34Speaker 1: operating function for the ones that love me, for the
- 9:37Speaker 1: ones that get me, for the ones that understand what
- 9:40Speaker 1: I'm really trying to do. And so don't you be
- 9:44Speaker 1: the one that doesn't allow yourself to get back on
- 9:49Speaker 1: track when you get off track, because, like I said,
- 9:52Speaker 1: who made the rule up that you can't get back
- 9:54Speaker 1: on track? There's no such rule out there. Stop stopping
- 10:00Speaker 1: yourself from getting it right. So what you started to
- 10:05Speaker 1: diet at the beginning of the year, and you already off,
- 10:08Speaker 1: start another one, start over, try it again, don't ever
- 10:14Speaker 1: stop trying. If you stop trying, you can't make it.
- 10:18Speaker 1: But if you never give up the effort, if you
- 10:20Speaker 1: never give up and say it's over, it ain't over.
- 10:23Speaker 1: You heard the saying it ain't over to the fat ladies,
- 10:26Speaker 1: saying I never invite her. She's not invited. It ain't
- 10:33Speaker 1: over to the fat ladies, saying I don't know where
- 10:35Speaker 1: the fat ladies stay. I have not sent her an
- 10:38Speaker 1: invitation to none of my events. She's not welcome here.
- 10:43Speaker 1: She didn't ask me a couple of times. How come
- 10:45Speaker 1: I never get invited? Because you're gonna start saying it
- 10:49Speaker 1: and I ain't got time for that. All right, stop
- 10:53Speaker 1: inviting the fat lady to all your events. Thank you,
- 10:57Speaker 1: you're listening show. Thanks you, gentlemen. Here we are with
- 11:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey more to show broadcasting live this morning, especially

- 12:30Speaker 1: just say it, this comedy check he can go back
- 12:33Speaker 1: out here and get it come out of just come on.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Did you feel it though, did you feel it on stage? Yeah?
- 12:41Speaker 1: I mean you know it, it was. I mean it
- 12:43Speaker 1: was natural. You know, I have forgotten and my timing
- 12:47Speaker 1: is not off because I performed every day somewhere, not
- 12:50Speaker 1: as a stand up but comedianly a little big shots.
- 12:55Speaker 1: This show, you know, the talk show, My My, you know,
- 12:58Speaker 1: my mind is shop. So yeah, we're talking. We just
- 13:01Speaker 1: have a line for you. Yeah here, yeah, yeah, you
- 13:05Speaker 1: can't go over it, but you do often. Yeah. Well,
- 13:09Speaker 1: I felt like the lady that came out to saying Ethan, frankly,
- 13:13Speaker 1: I wasn't really having that. Man, why two weeks ago.
- 13:23Speaker 1: You're right, you're right, Yes, what you're not fitting just
- 13:27Speaker 1: messed us up and the queen, Yes, we feel agreed.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Not right now, it's some people that still ain't got
- 13:35Speaker 1: passed coming in and do a half fast version. Boom. Yeah,
- 13:44Speaker 1: we come back. I'll tell you what I feel. All right,
- 13:48Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about all of that. It was some
- 13:51Speaker 1: kind of weekend in the Dominican Republic at Puntakana. And
- 13:54Speaker 1: if you didn't make it to Sand of Sand and
- 13:56Speaker 1: so you missed a treat. We were all there. We'll
- 13:59Speaker 1: talk about all that when we come back at thirty
- 14:02Speaker 1: two after the hour. Right after this, you're listening to
- 14:05Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it was some kind
- 14:08Speaker 1: of weekend in Punta Khana in the Dominican Republic for
- 14:11Speaker 1: all of us. Yeah, if you did not make it
- 14:14Speaker 1: to sand and so, man, you missed the treat I
- 14:17Speaker 1: bet you, I bet you, I bet you will. So
- 14:21Speaker 1: many people on social media, they're commenting on our pictures
- 14:24Speaker 1: at Steve Harvey FM, don our social media directors here.
- 14:28Speaker 1: She did a great job, shot in love and light
- 14:34Speaker 1: like people in y'all facebook cameras. I don't necessarily like it,
- 14:39Speaker 1: but Don's just one continuous press place. Yes, yes, she's
- 14:46Speaker 1: doing her job, she's doing your job. But what I
- 14:49Speaker 1: was saying was the comments where people kept saying, man,
- 14:51Speaker 1: I wish I would. Yeah, next year, y'all gonna do
- 14:54Speaker 1: it again. Those were some of that They already asking
- 14:58Speaker 1: when and where? Yeah, really do you know? You know, yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 1: you can't tell you. So many people came up and said, well,
- 15:06Speaker 1: thank you guys so much. We're having such a wonderful time.
- 15:09Speaker 1: A lot of couples here this time too. I just
- 15:12Speaker 1: need to know right quick, a just just you know
- 15:18Speaker 1: if if, well, what I think we should do this
- 15:21Speaker 1: place again. People had a good time. I'm only I
- 15:26Speaker 1: think we should do this place. It's just too many people. Yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 1: they were people. People had a great time. It's fourteen
- 15:34Speaker 1: swim count them. Did you go to the Were you
- 15:38Speaker 1: at the phone party the other day? It was a
- 15:41Speaker 1: lone pool party that Shirley Junior and I hosted. You're
- 15:45Speaker 1: talking about instead again in the pool with phone Steve.
- 15:52Speaker 1: It was so like a big, gigantic yeahs and Junior
- 16:00Speaker 1: it's the card man. There's an opportunity for me to
- 16:06Speaker 1: increase my financial standing in a casino. Should have pushed
- 16:18Speaker 1: them in. That would have killed everybody. Got fine. A
- 16:27Speaker 1: lot of people came up to me and tell me
- 16:29Speaker 1: they like your new look. They love it. A lot
- 16:32Speaker 1: of people said that yeah, yeah, yeah, man. I had
- 16:34Speaker 1: a lady man. It's just people. Hey, Steve, what's up?
- 16:39Speaker 1: I said, Hey, take that ass off your face. That
- 16:42Speaker 1: ain't your look, really, and I'm looking at hard now.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Hold on, be nice because you know how you are
- 16:52Speaker 1: with the clap back. But you know, but that's why
- 16:54Speaker 1: that's what you say to me. You you ain't met
- 16:56Speaker 1: Steve Harvey ever before in your life, ain't know? Hey, Steve,
- 17:00Speaker 1: tell you that thanks for the last all this heresy.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Take that ass off your face. That ain't your look.
- 17:08Speaker 1: But okay, people know they think they know you. When
- 17:15Speaker 1: she said that she should have been all right. But
- 17:17Speaker 1: what I love the fact that you're so approachable and
- 17:20Speaker 1: that you're regular look approach family. You're like Uncle Steve,
- 17:25Speaker 1: you hate them to work at every single day. Okay.
- 17:28Speaker 1: So when I when I said back, no, what since
- 17:31Speaker 1: we all know you know, well, let me ask you
- 17:34Speaker 1: this in your family, did you ever have a relative
- 17:38Speaker 1: or uncle where other people in the family said some
- 17:42Speaker 1: things to that uncle but he held back out of
- 17:45Speaker 1: respect and didn't go there and took the high roads.
- 17:48Speaker 1: That's what you have to do. We don't have none
- 17:50Speaker 1: of them people. You don't have one. You say something family,
- 17:59Speaker 1: you must have wants me to say, because if you
- 18:03Speaker 1: think you're gonna just yeah, let's just gonna be fullful
- 18:07Speaker 1: without no backs to be back in form. If you're
- 18:11Speaker 1: thinking it's just folks, I got that part about you.
- 18:15Speaker 1: You are going to say something back, but can you
- 18:17Speaker 1: just be nice about it? Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay,
- 18:21Speaker 1: let me give you the no cuss Birthiona. Well, what
- 18:24Speaker 1: did you say? She said, Hey, Steve, take that ass
- 18:28Speaker 1: off your face. That ain't your look. Okay, So I said,
- 18:35Speaker 1: but that's your Luke, that's the dress down version of
- 18:39Speaker 1: dressed up. That's get it, I said, but that's your look.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Tell people about the lady that that had the attitude
- 18:49Speaker 1: by whole room, one person. Everybody, Steve is wonderful, wonderful,
- 18:57Speaker 1: it is one lady. I'm just I was at Atlanti.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I like this that whole different. I said. I said,
- 19:08Speaker 1: you're about the only person that is not happening a
- 19:11Speaker 1: better time with this. And I said, because I solve
- 19:14Speaker 1: one problem, I made it all inclusive. Yeah, so you
- 19:17Speaker 1: don't have to take your out. You can eat, drink
- 19:19Speaker 1: whenever you want, but you want, and you know that
- 19:21Speaker 1: unless you keep happen to get the ain't gonna call
- 19:23Speaker 1: you water. You know, I don't like my room, I said,
- 19:27Speaker 1: you didn't like you? What's wrong with your room? It's
- 19:29Speaker 1: got a bad Everybody thinks that's so sexy, right, is
- 19:39Speaker 1: it that you missed the mark with the purpose of this,
- 19:43Speaker 1: everybody got a jacuzzi in the room. Yeah, now if
- 19:47Speaker 1: you don't see the sexiness in there. So then she
- 19:50Speaker 1: kept talking. I just said, you buy yourself that though
- 19:58Speaker 1: he didn't know. No, he didn't, Junior stop co signing,
- 20:01Speaker 1: not saying what he said. It's not necessary back back. Well,
- 20:08Speaker 1: everybody else did you come to phone? I like my
- 20:14Speaker 1: my room, got a bathtub? Okay, now here comes back,
- 20:21Speaker 1: but I gotta knock this down. I got a filter
- 20:24Speaker 1: this because this back. Yeah yeah you sah no you didn't.
- 20:36Speaker 1: You started off with hudah All right, listen coming up next. Uh,
- 20:43Speaker 1: well this we can't call this something funny. We just
- 20:46Speaker 1: have to say. Gladys Night says she does not have cancer.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Will explain when we come back. This is deep. We'll
- 20:54Speaker 1: be back at four after you're listening. Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 20:59Speaker 1: Steve Friends. Family civil rights leaders said their final goodbyes
- 21:04Speaker 1: to the Queen of Soul, uh Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson,
- 21:07Speaker 1: and Fantasia, along with former President Bill Clinton, Smokey Robinson,
- 21:12Speaker 1: the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Faith Hill, Valerie Ashford, will be Goldberg,
- 21:17Speaker 1: and the list goes on and on and on, and
- 21:20Speaker 1: of course her good friend, Miss Gladys Knight. Now. While
- 21:24Speaker 1: attending services for Aretha Franklin at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit,
- 21:28Speaker 1: Ladys Knight told the TV station there w d i
- 21:31Speaker 1: V that she's suffering from the same disease as Miss Franklin.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Take a listen. This is a tough day, isn't it.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Of course it is. We lost our queen, you know,
- 21:41Speaker 1: and she's my sister and she's family. Well, I didn't
- 21:45Speaker 1: want her to suffer. And it's not our business, it's
- 21:50Speaker 1: the lord's business, you know. He calls us when we're
- 21:52Speaker 1: supposed to come home. And she has done more than
- 21:55Speaker 1: her share of using that gift that she was blessed with.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I'm just glad to be here to honor her at
- 22:02Speaker 1: this time. We had some good times. We learned together,
- 22:06Speaker 1: we grew up together. Our families were Semilio similar and
- 22:10Speaker 1: she was a family girl and I'm a family girl
- 22:12Speaker 1: and that kind of thing. So yeah, we had those
- 22:15Speaker 1: things in common. You know. We like to eat, we
- 22:19Speaker 1: like to cook, we like to do all those things,
- 22:22Speaker 1: and those those are personal times for for us, you know.
- 22:26Speaker 1: But the last time I talked to her, we were
- 22:28Speaker 1: at the same hotel and we didn't know it, but
- 22:31Speaker 1: I know her crew and family. She knows my crew
- 22:33Speaker 1: and family. And Steve I think walked downstairs, Steve Valary,
- 22:37Speaker 1: and so she called him as she said, tell Glad,
- 22:40Speaker 1: it's get down here. Because we talked to each other,
- 22:44Speaker 1: they came Unta Wreatha said get down. I went down
- 22:49Speaker 1: and said, we read what you're doing now here. So
- 22:51Speaker 1: we just got to talking and everything, and at that
- 22:53Speaker 1: time we shared the fact that we had the same disease.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Said have a say journey home. Yeah. But Steve Gladys
- 23:03Speaker 1: cleared things up with tmz um. She said, I'd like
- 23:07Speaker 1: to clarify that Aretha and I discussed both of us
- 23:10Speaker 1: having cancer. Mine was stage one breast cancer and hers
- 23:15Speaker 1: was pancreatic. We all know that due to early detection,
- 23:18Speaker 1: I am cancer free and grateful for that. Miss Gladys continues,
- 23:22Speaker 1: it is unfortunate that on a day we should be
- 23:25Speaker 1: celebrating Arepa's life and massive contribution to our world, a
- 23:29Speaker 1: reporter who did not relay accurate information has missed the message.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I send my love to the entire Franklin family and
- 23:37Speaker 1: my gratitude for them for sharing such an extraordinary person
- 23:41Speaker 1: with us. So that's how glad It's cleared things up.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Because it was trending all over social media that Gladys
- 23:48Speaker 1: Knight has the same thing that Arepa had. Yeah. Always, yeah, yeah,
- 23:55Speaker 1: they got some information on that. It just ain't right right,
- 23:58Speaker 1: It's just it's just It's amazing though, how many people
- 24:01Speaker 1: get their news on social media? Like it's faction. You've
- 24:05Speaker 1: been going crazy. And I think when she said what
- 24:08Speaker 1: she said, I think like social media and other media outlets,
- 24:11Speaker 1: they kind of said, oh, Las Night has pancreatic cancer,
- 24:15Speaker 1: and I think she also meant that she was suffering
- 24:17Speaker 1: with pain like a rest of it all. You know,
- 24:24Speaker 1: the headline to make you tune in, that's right. How
- 24:27Speaker 1: many times have you read a story on social media
- 24:31Speaker 1: that was nothing like the headline? I mean, he ain't
- 24:34Speaker 1: even close, but they lure you in with this dramatic
- 24:38Speaker 1: headline and then the story don't meet none of them. Yeah, yeah,
- 24:42Speaker 1: not at all. Well, um, here's another story. Um okay.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Melania Trump is upset and embarrassed over the insults thrown
- 24:52Speaker 1: at her husband during Miss Franklin's funeral, and she feels horrible,
- 24:56Speaker 1: she says. During his speech had a wreath of Franklin's funeral,
- 25:00Speaker 1: Reverend Al Sharpton delivered not one but two different disses
- 25:03Speaker 1: aimed at Donald Trump, one implying that he needed to
- 25:06Speaker 1: learn the meaning of respect uh, and another slamming Trump
- 25:10Speaker 1: for saying that Areta worked for him on numerous occasions.
- 25:14Speaker 1: When Donald Trump, our president, heard of um Aretha's passing,
- 25:18Speaker 1: he said, I remember her. She worked for me on
- 25:20Speaker 1: several occasions. And we were mortified that he said that
- 25:23Speaker 1: that that came out of his mouth. Yeah, he said that.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Uh that it did come out of his mouth like that. Um.
- 25:29Speaker 1: A source close to Milania told um UH magazine exclusively
- 25:34Speaker 1: that told sources that she's mortified over the shade thrown
- 25:38Speaker 1: at her husband. She feels humiliated and embarrassed by the
- 25:41Speaker 1: multiple Donald insults at Aret this funeral. Uh. That's according
- 25:46Speaker 1: to the source. It makes Melania feel horrible that Donald
- 25:49Speaker 1: is not welcomed or invited to Areath this funeral, that
- 25:52Speaker 1: he was not invited to McCain's funeral, John McCain's funeral
- 25:56Speaker 1: or Areta this funeral. And uh then to hear about
- 26:00Speaker 1: speakers making subtle jabs at her husband. Now, someone who
- 26:03Speaker 1: who's jobs were not subtle was Michael Eric Dyson. Yeah,
- 26:08Speaker 1: I mean he said, oh yeah, did he? Yeah? The
- 26:13Speaker 1: first lady wishes more people liked her family and is constantly,
- 26:17Speaker 1: constantly embarrassed by the public's opinion of her husband and
- 26:20Speaker 1: when people take shots at him and her family. She said,
- 26:24Speaker 1: it really stings. As a result, Milannia has been trying
- 26:27Speaker 1: to get Donald to a real back some of his rhetoric.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Good with that, you know it's gonna bother. You know,
- 26:35Speaker 1: you married to this man. You got a son. You know,
- 26:38Speaker 1: he catching hail. I'm sure the boy, the boy catching
- 26:41Speaker 1: straight hal And there's no fault Milannia or or the child.
- 26:47Speaker 1: It's no fault that he's the president that he messed around.
- 26:50Speaker 1: And one, oh, you know that part about not being
- 26:54Speaker 1: invited to the funeral, that's you know what I mean,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you know, that's just uh, you know, funeral is a funeral.
- 27:01Speaker 1: It's a going home service. It's supposed to be a
- 27:04Speaker 1: moment where we celebrate the lifeline of who this person was.
- 27:09Speaker 1: You know, we were talking about that dash. Yeah, you know,
- 27:13Speaker 1: you got the date of birth and you got the
- 27:15Speaker 1: day of demise, the year to demise. But what you
- 27:17Speaker 1: really want to talk about is that dash. It's the
- 27:20Speaker 1: smallest part on the tumbstone, but it has the most
- 27:22Speaker 1: weight in it. And that's Grintha had a huge dash.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Your funeral is like what seven And you know it's
- 27:29Speaker 1: just I don't see that. That's that's but John McCain
- 27:32Speaker 1: had three funerals. Three I'm not I mean, I mean
- 27:37Speaker 1: seven hours is a long funeral, especially for the family
- 27:41Speaker 1: if they have to sit there. That's all I'm saying.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I don't care who you are. Yeah, and and her family,
- 27:46Speaker 1: the granddaughters, grandchildren, they s you know, it was it
- 27:50Speaker 1: was like you said, Steve, it was a seller of
- 27:54Speaker 1: so many performers, so many people singing. And I think
- 27:57Speaker 1: you know the situation where President Trump and John mc
- 28:00Speaker 1: there was real tension and real beef and he's still
- 28:04Speaker 1: kind of like talking about this man and he's deceased.
- 28:07Speaker 1: John McCain did not want him there. Fer Well, Trump
- 28:15Speaker 1: doesn't get it. I think every y'all gotta stop getting
- 28:20Speaker 1: mad at it because this is who he is and
- 28:23Speaker 1: this is how he is. He can't change. When he
- 28:26Speaker 1: said Aretha Franklin worked for him, what he meant was
- 28:30Speaker 1: he had hired Aretha Franklin several times to perform, but
- 28:35Speaker 1: as an employer mentality, the head man of all that
- 28:42Speaker 1: yes surveys, he like, I loved her. She used to
- 28:48Speaker 1: work for me. That's all he meant. That's really what
- 28:51Speaker 1: he meant. But when you stack it on top of
- 28:54Speaker 1: everything else, he's done. That is no leeway for him
- 29:00Speaker 1: now he work. Everybody was outraged when he made that,
- 29:04Speaker 1: but in his mind that's that's it his mind. He
- 29:10Speaker 1: didn't he did that. That ain't what to do? Was
- 29:12Speaker 1: that with it? But he's seven, Well, he should have
- 29:15Speaker 1: come back and cleared it up. He doesn't. He always
- 29:20Speaker 1: doubles down. But he has sent him on his remarks.
- 29:22Speaker 1: He's got to learn from Yes, come on, you're the president.
- 29:27Speaker 1: We don't care to change. We gotta go Steve. Coming
- 29:33Speaker 1: up next and entertainment news, Bobby Brown will tell his
- 29:36Speaker 1: story his way. The Bobby Brown Story World premiere is
- 29:41Speaker 1: tonight on b ET. We'll talk about it right after this. Bobby,

- 30:08Speaker 1: are you smarter than on? Nephew Tommy in his absence,
- 30:12Speaker 1: Junior is going to um do his own thing. But
- 30:15Speaker 1: right now, it's time for entertainment news already. All right,
- 30:26Speaker 1: we'll do it tonight is the Bobby Brown Story. I'm
- 30:29Speaker 1: b et and from the New Edition mini series. Actor
- 30:32Speaker 1: Woody McCain stars as Bobby Brown. He played Bobby Brown
- 30:36Speaker 1: in the New Edition series. As we mentioned. Yeah, so
- 30:38Speaker 1: it looks like the story is gonna pick up from
- 30:40Speaker 1: where New Edition movie dropped off. The movie. We'll talk
- 30:43Speaker 1: about Bobby's solo career, his marriage to Whitton Houston, being
- 30:47Speaker 1: a father, his drug and alcohol addictions. Bobby Brown has
- 30:51Speaker 1: had one heck of a journey in this music game.
- 30:54Speaker 1: The cast includes, as we mentioned, Woody McCain is Bobby Brown,
- 30:58Speaker 1: Actress Gabrielle Dennis as Whitney Houston because she was on
- 31:02Speaker 1: the game. Yeah yeah, McKay Peiffer as Tommy Brown, Bobby's brother,
- 31:09Speaker 1: and Denysha Hopkins. That name may not sound familiar to you,
- 31:12Speaker 1: but you will know her as Baby Girl from Power.
- 31:16Speaker 1: That is braina Torek's twin tower. Yeah. Yeah, so she's
- 31:22Speaker 1: playing Bobby Christina. Yea Christina that is Terrek's twin sister

- 32:08Speaker 1: movie going TV watching went I'm gonna go, do you
- 32:12Speaker 1: have downtime? But my downtown I knee rest. Let me
- 32:16Speaker 1: ask you this because New Addition Bobby Brown, that's our error.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Especially so if they did a movie mini series on
- 32:26Speaker 1: Earth when five the untold story, they got the curnel
- 32:31Speaker 1: me see. That's how we feel about Bobby Addition. And
- 32:38Speaker 1: Bobby Brown is the king of arn you in you
- 32:42Speaker 1: would have to be in it. Bobby Brown is the
- 32:44Speaker 1: king of when he said when he said it, and
- 32:47Speaker 1: I know why she said it because he was the
- 32:49Speaker 1: first to do all of the things that something like
- 32:53Speaker 1: genuinine ussure all these artists that are r and b
- 32:57Speaker 1: Bobby was the first to do all of that. And
- 32:59Speaker 1: she was right when she said that what we gonna seeking,
- 33:04Speaker 1: Whitney said he was about who's the king of Yeah, yeah,
- 33:12Speaker 1: that time, at that time, Yeah, talking about that time. Yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 1: you mean see king of pop is the king of
- 33:19Speaker 1: pop the soul, it's queen so godfather. So it's okay, okay,
- 33:27Speaker 1: what is you talking about? You know you're the king
- 33:30Speaker 1: of comedy and the King of plat back. It's your
- 33:33Speaker 1: new title. We gotta go. Hey, listen, let's get caught
- 33:40Speaker 1: up on today's Yeah, Steve, please introduced crazy statement. You'll
- 33:47Speaker 1: make it. I say it introduced the Queen of newss

- 34:06Speaker 1: Police Superintended Eddie Johnson tells Chicago's w m a Q
- 34:10Speaker 1: that he's put his forces out there. Crime isn't just
- 34:12Speaker 1: about what the police do. Crime is about what the
- 34:15Speaker 1: criminals do. Let's let's not forget. We look at crime
- 34:20Speaker 1: every day, every hour, and we readjust readjust readjust, But
- 34:25Speaker 1: there's only so much the police can do. We cannot
- 34:28Speaker 1: be on every street corner of this city every moment
- 34:31Speaker 1: of the day. We just can't. That's an impossibility. Superintendent
- 34:34Speaker 1: Johnson deployed more than six hundred additional police officers to
- 34:37Speaker 1: the mostly violent neighborhoods, and still the shooting continues. Racists
- 34:41Speaker 1: are targeting the Florida governor's race and neo Nazi group

- 34:53Speaker 1: the automated messages narrated by someone pretending to be gill him,
- 34:56Speaker 1: using exaggerated, under educated black sounding dialect with jungle noises
- 35:01Speaker 1: in the background. Yeah, this stuff is really happening, Gillam
- 35:04Speaker 1: spoke about on CNN. I want to make sure that
- 35:06Speaker 1: we don't racialize and frankly weaponize race as a part
- 35:10Speaker 1: of this process, which is what I've called on my
- 35:12Speaker 1: opponent to really work to rise above some of these things.
- 35:15Speaker 1: The seventy eight second robo calls sent out to thousands
- 35:18Speaker 1: of Florida voters over the holiday weekend following Gillam's Republican
- 35:21Speaker 1: opponents from Mark Rhonda sand that you may remember he
- 35:23Speaker 1: told reporters quote not to monkey this up and allow

- 35:37Speaker 1: rights activists very critical of the visits, saying that their
- 35:40Speaker 1: country should not be welcoming this guy. Human Rights Watch
- 35:43Speaker 1: points out that de Tertes police have murdered thousands of
- 35:46Speaker 1: people without trial as part of his crackdown on drugs.
- 35:49Speaker 1: He once compared himself to Hitler. He disrespected the U.
- 35:52Speaker 1: S presidency by cursing President Obama, and recently he said
- 35:55Speaker 1: that beautiful women were the reason for rape. He calls
- 35:58Speaker 1: President Trump a good friend. Folks in Mississippi preparing for

- 36:17Speaker 1: with a new ad and it's a powerful one. It's

- 36:22Speaker 1: these words written across it. Believe in something, even if
- 36:26Speaker 1: it means sacrificing everything. Just do it, don't you love it?
- 36:30Speaker 1: Also part of the Nike campaign. That's right, Odell Beckham

- 55:01Speaker 1: Strawberry Little Well, my friends, Shirley straw Barry, thank you
- 55:04Speaker 1: my friend. All right, subject, I want the car, but
- 55:07Speaker 1: not the ring, Dear Stephen, Shirley. Last year I moved
- 55:11Speaker 1: to a new city and I planned to start a
- 55:13Speaker 1: new life. I wasn't exactly looking for love, only a friend. Yeah,
- 55:20Speaker 1: I have always been if you had just waited one
- 55:23Speaker 1: more line. Okay, okay, but listen to this. You're gonna
- 55:30Speaker 1: like this. I have always been into older men, so
- 55:35Speaker 1: I found a club where older people go. I was
- 55:38Speaker 1: the youngest woman in the club. An older gentleman approached
- 55:42Speaker 1: me and I was immediately attracted to him. So we
- 55:45Speaker 1: began dating and things were going good between us. After
- 55:48Speaker 1: we met, things in my personal life weren't working out,
- 55:51Speaker 1: so I moved back to my hometown. The older guy
- 55:55Speaker 1: and I stayed in touch, and before I moved, he
- 55:57Speaker 1: asked me to marry him. He has four kids and
- 56:00Speaker 1: they're all older than me. His youngest is thirty four
- 56:03Speaker 1: years old. I have been dying to meet his kids
- 56:06Speaker 1: because he's pressuring me to marry him. We have only
- 56:10Speaker 1: been together six months and we have not been intimate.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Yet I'm comfortable where I am in my life, and
- 56:16Speaker 1: I'm glad to be back home. I'm working two jobs
- 56:19Speaker 1: and he helps me out, but he keeps pushing me
- 56:22Speaker 1: to get myself prepared for a wedding in January. He
- 56:26Speaker 1: wants to buy me a car, but he said that
- 56:28Speaker 1: I can only get it as a wedding gift. When
- 56:31Speaker 1: I say I do now, Shirley and Steve, I really
- 56:35Speaker 1: need a new car, but I don't want to get
- 56:37Speaker 1: married yet. I'm only twenty four years old. He's a
- 56:41Speaker 1: great man, and I might want to marry him one day.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I don't want to lose him. Should I just keep
- 56:47Speaker 1: working hard and buy my own car? Or marry the
- 56:50Speaker 1: older guy? Please help? Yes, you answered your own question.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Keep working hard and buy your own car. You're only
- 56:57Speaker 1: twenty four years old. His oldest, like you said, is
- 57:00Speaker 1: thirty four. You didn't mention how old he is, But
- 57:02Speaker 1: if his oldest is thirty four, I'm sure he's a
- 57:05Speaker 1: lot older than you. Um. Yeah, the pressure. Why would
- 57:10Speaker 1: he want to you want him to pressure you like this? Uh,
- 57:14Speaker 1: you're twenty four. You've got a lot more of life
- 57:17Speaker 1: experience to get to before you take such a big commitment. Okay,
- 57:21Speaker 1: you began dating, things were good, they weren't that good
- 57:24Speaker 1: because you moved back home. All right, so you moved
- 57:27Speaker 1: away from this guy. You like what the things that
- 57:29Speaker 1: sugar Daddy buys you and get you, but you don't
- 57:32Speaker 1: want to be tied down to him like that. So
- 57:34Speaker 1: I suggest you, like I said, you've answered your own question.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Just keep working hard and buy your own car. Okay, Steve, Well, well,
- 57:47Speaker 1: ain't this a little bit different? Oh? First of all,
- 57:54Speaker 1: I won't a car, but not doing what we get
- 58:00Speaker 1: down to it. You don't want to Mame. I want
- 58:04Speaker 1: the car, but I don't want to Red. Let's take
- 58:08Speaker 1: a look at this letter. All right, this little girl,
- 58:13Speaker 1: she twenty four years old. She moved to New City.
- 58:17Speaker 1: She ain't looking for love, only a friend. But she's
- 58:19Speaker 1: always been into older men. So I found a club
- 58:24Speaker 1: that old people go to. Well that's that's the vf
- 58:31Speaker 1: W Club, the Elks Club, the Mooses Law, the Vets Center.
- 58:40Speaker 1: All that's down. That's be wild, be all that you had.
- 58:44Speaker 1: You had, You had a Mason in Eastern Star problem.
- 58:50Speaker 1: You just pulls up and you in you. I want
- 58:54Speaker 1: you to walk to the girl. Look at him and
- 58:57Speaker 1: all the gentlemen approached me and you will try to it.
- 59:00Speaker 1: So y'all started date. Thing's going good between after we met.
- 59:04Speaker 1: This stuff in your life wasn't working out, so you
- 59:06Speaker 1: went back on the home. Now the only guy has
- 59:09Speaker 1: stayed in touch before I moved. He asked me to
- 59:14Speaker 1: marry him. M hm. He got four kids. They all
- 59:19Speaker 1: older than me. His youngest is thirty four. Now, I
- 59:22Speaker 1: want you to understand something, and none of these kids
- 59:25Speaker 1: fitting the light her. His youngest child is thirty four,
- 59:34Speaker 1: the youngest you twenty four. They're not fitting the like
- 59:41Speaker 1: they fit the hate your ass because they're gonna figure
- 59:49Speaker 1: this old dumb mass daddy, This old dumbass daddy of mine.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Where is MoMA? We want our mama back, sitting up
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: and they got a baby, sit your ass. So let's
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: get that understood. Yeah, she said, I've been dying to
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: meet the kids because he's pressing me to marry him.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: We've only been together six months and we have not
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: been intimate yet. Here we go. This is what this
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: letter really about. You're damn right you want the car,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: but not to ring because you don't know what the
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: ring is tied to. But you can just drive off
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: in the car. But he this man been with you,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: asked you to marry him, and y'all ain't had six
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: what's wrong with this picture right here? Who you know?
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Don't want six? After six movies? Bo wants to marry you.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I'll tell you who does this? Someone with a pre
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: existing condition really stick? Let me tell you something something
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: wrong with him and he needs some helm. You twenty four,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: you fee to be oliving, a nurse. You've been to
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: be a caregiver. Yeah, I'm going to tell her what
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: was her life is fitting to be like? At now
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: twenty four? The youngest child is thirty four. His age

- 1:02:13Speaker 1: He didn't she want to move back to the whole time.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: He didn't ask her to marry. But she got a problem.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: She's younger than him. She didn't even put his age

- 1:09:02Speaker 1: you're standing. So weekend in the Dominican Republic in Punta
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Kana was heaven. It was greatness. It really was. Thank

- 1:09:18Speaker 1: so how is golf because you played a lot? Huh?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I ain't there a little rain off? And it involves
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: me because a man, it's raining to day. I don't care.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: I got gambling money. We'll talk about rain for today. Yeah.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: As the tropical that's what happened. They call a liquid sunshine.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: It rains a little and the sun comes back out.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Good shout out everybody, Steve. We got some loyal, loyal
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: business man. They love they love this morning show. They
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: love you. They came from all over the country to
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Santa c. So much for coming. Oh my god, a
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: good time had by all. Seriously, there's a woman named
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Beverly that lives in Delaware. She she's a driver. Yes,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: she listens all day. She loves us. She's right here.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Had a great time. What are you feeling about giving
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: you right now? I mean, you know, it's like really
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: a great group that everybody was on the same page.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Everybody had the same attitude. It was just people having
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: a good time. Wasn't oppressure? Man? People so polite to
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: one another, y'all doing where y'all from? Man, it was
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: just it was so cool, man. And it's so much
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: to do, Like, ain't no poo, was too crowded, none
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: of that. But see, if I was most proud of you,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: I have to say this because you really really really
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: went out, spoke to the people, shook hands to be
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: took pictures and you know, you you know this is
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: all with your change of attitude, right well, you know
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: because normally, uh you know blue cheese. Well, you know,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: if you get on my damn, you know what, you
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: won't be today. Okay, but you did. You did really
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: well this time. Reize what you know. What it is is.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: I explained to the people my level of Christianity so
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: that they understand. And I'm an entry level yeah, saying
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: what is that level? You know, on the scale of
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: one to ten, I'm a Christian. I'm just a two
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: five and then that's where i am. Yeah, don't come
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: over here pushing me the boundaries of Christianity because you're
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: gonna lose. Don't slap me. I'm not turning on the cheeks.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: I ain't at that level of Christianity. That's about the six.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Do all that. That's right. You got to be like
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: a seven when you're trying, got be like eight. I
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: am not done. I'm I'm an entry level Christian. Kind
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: of takes this how they explained it. Guy explained it
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: to me. We all gonna fall short or the glory.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: So if Jesus is on shore and there's three Christians
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: in the boat and the first Christian dive in the
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: water to swim to shore to get to Jesus, a
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: hundred yards from the boat. He's sinking, drown. The next
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Christian jump in the water. He swim five hundred yards
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: to Jesus five hundred yards. He got a lot closer.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: He's sinking, drown. The third Christian jump in the water
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: and swim all the way six feet from shore. Okay,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: sink and drown. Who the better Christian? Them? Because they
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: jumped in, all of them jumped in. Everybody did so
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: that that that you you closer to God? Did me? Okay?
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: We all did come over? Okaye short, honey, y'all shot
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: shot and shot. That's right. You sink and drown. Stop
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: allowing other people to define Christianity for you, making you
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: think you ain't this and you ain't that. Show ain't that.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: So I'm done with that. I'm done that. I'm done
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: with Christians like that. Yeah, I'm Steve Harvey Christian level three. Yeah,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: thank you, come over here. But you can grow, you
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: can grow in your Christianity. But a lot of people
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: have so much fun, Steve. I mean, they're still talking
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: about it and they want to come back next year,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: and you're gonna make an announcement soon. I understand. But
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: we had a lot of people to just we talked
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: to yeah to tell us how they felt about the trip.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: Take a listen here at some up. Hi. I'm Dane.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I'm from New Jersey. This is my first time at Sandy.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Always been a fabulous event. I started following Steep at
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: the Apollo Theater where he was doing so it's really
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: good last night to see him and this element because
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: he was hilarious back in the day. I will live
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: for him to go between the commercials and really like
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: engaging the audience. So last night was just like a
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: reflective piece of seeing him do that. It was like
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: really nostalgic, I think so so far that's been my
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: best part, just kind of seeing him back in his element. Hi.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: My name is Andrea a k A. Punkin from San Diego, California.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: I am here for the main reason of seeing and
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: hearing my favorite radio host, Steve Harvey in the morning
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: crew in the Flesh. I was excited about being able
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: to see and hear Steve Raw being himself. Hi. I'm
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: do Wanna from Durham, North Carolina, by way of Detroit, Michigan.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: This is my first Sin and Soul and I have
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: basically enjoyed everything that I have been comment thus far,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: the best thing about the Sand and Soul Festival is
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: it gives you an opportunity as an everyday person to
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: meet and interact with everyday beautiful people, including the Steve
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Hey, well, so this is a big
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: business out of Okay. See, I'm out here is Standing Soul.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: It's just been off the chain. Steve Harvey has been
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: the realist man in this thing. Being able to to
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: see him sit down and literally teach and show the
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: real person that he is out here without all of
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: the cameras and lights, and to know that this man
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: really means what he says and and really believes in
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: his communities and his foundation. I'm just so proud of
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: him and Marjorie, and I'm very thankful to be able
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: to participate in the Santus Soul today. I appreciate the
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: people that come up to us and say nice stuff
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: about the truble. And we'll take a break and come
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey alright, Steve,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: So people are coming home from Standing Soul Festival. Of course,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: we just left their Dominican Republican put Khana. We had
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: a great time, and uh, folks, you know, maybe moving
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: kind of slow. You know. Um, they might be a
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: little late to work because it was a holiday weekend,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: you know, and people just they don't want to get
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: up the next day because they had so much fun. So, uh,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: give us some crazier or just outrageous excuses people can
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: give their bosses for for being later missing work. I
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: dreamed it was a hurricane, oh see. And I just
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: could not get on that plane. Man, you know, just
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: something come over me. I was just so full of
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: the spirit and it just told me don't don't get
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: on that plane. And I said, Jesus, are you show?
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: This is you? And I just I just couldn't do it.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: So I'm late the cause of religiously that. I'll tell
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: you what they're gonna say. Steve said, wed No, he said,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: we're good. You don't believe. Don't believe? Are right? You
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: know I'm saying we're good. I'm being there on Thursday
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: when I get back. Yeah, Steve, work good for two days.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: I got to with y'all. What what are you like?
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Did you see the cli? Yeah? Man, you ain't gonna
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: believe this as saying this so called sandy me and
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: my girl was out on the beach, and I'm trying
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: to tell you what And you know how you be
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: playing in the sand. You know how they bury You
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: understand what she buried me in the stand And when
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: I woke up, I dug out the wrong weight. I
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: ended up going deeper. So when you took me along
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: as time to hear about that hold. And now I'm here,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: thank you Jesus. What doing Junior excuses for being late today? Yeah,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: I ain't gonna believe it. Left my damn car keys
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: in the deal. I got to go all the way back.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: I got to go back. I left my car keys
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: right there room seven. I know I got to go back.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: I'd never get in there. But you you didn't drive
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: you for a little. Yeah, but my took I locked
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: the house, my house, kid car keys on saying key chain.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I left in room seven to one ninety six, Building
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: seven in the bag. I got to go back and
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: get the kids. You're fine now, I'll be back. When
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: are you coming back? When I get them keys? Mr Harvey,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: why are you late? You ain't here? No, I didn't
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: hear what I'm asking you. Now, Donald Trump put the
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: deal on the travel band we just got him. Believable.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: He just all right. These are excuses. Try to use
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: them if you're gonna be late today for work. You know, holiday,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: long holiday, you were at the Dominican Republican were in
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Punta Cana. So we need some outrageous, crazy excuses to
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: give our bosses. What you got. Cartel took me host
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: Cartel took me hostage. I can't come to work, man,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: you too, meet too, y'all went together as hostages. Cartel
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: got me. I don't need. I don't need. They just
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: thought he's American. They said, you know, y'all got money.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: The only why I'm in here late. Cartel, you don't.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: You do exactly what they say, and that's why you're late. Cartel. Okay, okay,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: Well I'm like you had all day yesterday though to
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: deal with the Cartel. Holy two day, Mel You're fired.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Come on, come on, Steve, why are you like today?
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: Do you know what time it is? Yeah? I just
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: got wold. I'm sorry, man out of being here. But man,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: all the funerals. Funeral Yeah, I've been going on. I'm sorry.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Did someone passed someone? Did your family? Oh? Were you
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: close to the senator to McCain. I felt like, you know,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: we went when he went on there and said, well
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: he wasn't gonna replaced Obamacare. He meant something to me.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: So you went to his funeral your head, that's enough
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: take yeah to me into something being queen what I
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: just had laid down after him. That's why you like
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: funerals to do something. And then one mom Willemina's funeral,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: I mean, who's that? Is she a political person? Politician? No,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: that was that's that's my nieces, babysit. Then you're you're
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: late for work because your knee since babysit. A funeral
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: was this past Friday and today it's Tuesday. You put
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: that on top of frankly okay, the grieving is overwhelming thing.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: It comes in three Wow, you're y'all look at I'm
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: here to day. The word is thank you. I need
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: an excuse? What what's rewind blake? Because Frank Frank funeral
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Jiz went off. Every everybody's spoken. H you see that line,
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: all these speakers they had, everybody spoke. I'm surprised you
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: wouldn't even know. Why are you making that face? He's
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: not dragging me into this shoe. You don't want the
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: parts of all right, well, that's good. That's a good
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: one for junior. You're not dreaming, y'all looking at me.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: You're not dragging me in that Joe parting. Yea. So
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: to our audience, you can try these. I don't know
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: how well. You know your boss will take him. You
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: can try him. If you're late for work today, all right, Steve,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: one more before we go? Why are you saying? Why

- 1:22:58Speaker 1: um bow Wow. I don't know if you guys heard
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: about this, but bow Wow reportedly blew up on the
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: set of Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta. This happened last
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Thursday while we're in the Dominican Republic. Um. Uh well,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: bow Wow um lost his cool while shooting at a party.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: It was hell for Debrett at the West Side Arts Center.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: He reportedly damaged equipment, including three cameras, and when people
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: tried to de escalate things and hold him back, he
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: turned his rage on them. Police were finally called to
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: the set to deal with the situation, and the next
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: morning he posted on Instagram, stop overreacting and stop with
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: the sympathy text to my phone, Uh, you all are
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: not therapists, so stop acting like one. I got this, thanks? Uh?
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: What's going on? At got the money for this? Here?
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: What the tantrums and all? What's going on? I don't know?
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: You know, but I don't know. Talks about me? I don't.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on with Well, he's he
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: has a new album coming out, Steve. It's called suicide.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: He's spelled it backwards, and he's been talking over that. Say, well,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: he's been talking openly about how he's paranoid that he
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: won't make until thirty five. Till the age of thirty five.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: He's thirty one right now, all right now, So yeah,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: we don't have to pray for me? Yeah something yeah,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: yeah man? Yeah, but what it disious? It's suicide? Spill back.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Oh you wrote, you wrote the letters down. I'm trying
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: to figure out what's going what is it saying? Again,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: that's the album c I us, that's suicide spell backwards.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: We don't like it either way. Okay, do that you
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: need to stop all that. You need to go and
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: talk to somebody if he because if you think people
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: on Instagram thinking they therapist, maybe he needs to go
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: see one. But the hell you think about dying full
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: thirty five? That ain't even number. He says he's paranoid though,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: that that's not even uh, that's not even like a
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: monumental number. You know. I ain't think I'm gonna leave
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: to be twenty one. I ain't think I'm gonna make
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: it the eighteen. Who the hell says? I don't think
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna make it in thirty five. It's too random.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: I never thought i'd make it the fifty. Yeah I
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: got that. Yeah, you're right. I've never heard anyone to
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: say so that's four years from now. He's thirty one.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: So but I don't want to say no because he
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: gets so angry on Instagram. I just want him to
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: get some help. If you need that, well, maybe that's
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: what he needs some help. You know, black people, we
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: always don't know. I just want to go to therapy.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: But therapy and maybe people that love you and care
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: about you. And yeah, you're trying to say albums, Yeah,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: because it's been a minute. Yeah, well that's a good
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: selling to just being you know, get your copy. I'm
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: talking about haven't destructed. It seemed to come from nowhere.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: It seems to me like hip hop is taking a
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: turn to be a little bit more singing about good
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: times and stuff like that. You know, it's a lot
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: less this and a lot less bragging. Yeah, it's still there. Yeah,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: I could be wrong. I don't know. Well it's I
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: was too storytells, and I just thought they've gotten a
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: little bit more. I think after watching J and B's concert,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: which can't be considered hip hop except when he's performing
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: alone because now, yeah, in the game, but he had
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: a whole another level and all these people that be
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: hating on him, these young boys. You old you, you
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: had your run. His run is very luquid. Oh yeah,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: she's the baddest chicken period. All right. Well, we'll be
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right

- 1:28:20Speaker 1: I know all I need to know. You know the
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: story for me. I've been dealing with ian product. Did
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: you not watch the New Edition story? I was working
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: Steve see y'all, y'all gonna get it one. But you're
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: all this movie going TV watching went I'm gonna go.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Do you have downtime? But my downtime I need rest. Well,
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: let me ask you this, because New Edition Bobby Brown,
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: that's our error. Especially so if they did a movie
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: mini see He's on Earth when a fire, the untold story,
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: they got the curnel me see how we feel about
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Bobby addition, and Bobby Brown is the king of arm
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: you would have to be in it, the king of
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: when he said when he said it, and I know
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: why she said it because he was the first to
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: do all of the things that something like genuinine us
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: sure all these artists that are r and b Bobby
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: was the first to do all of that. And she
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: was right when she said that. We're gonna see when
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: he said he was about who the king. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: that time, at that time, yeah, that time. Yeah, you
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: mean king of pop is the King of pop is
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: Queen Solather. So it's okay, okay, what you're talking about?
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: You you know you're the king of comedy and the
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: king of clap back. It's your t we gotta go. Hey, listen,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: all right, thank you, thank you. We'll be back at
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: forty nine after to close out the show. One more break, Steve.
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: We'll close out the show and get some closing remarks
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: from you, sir. Yeah, alright, just go and go to work,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: all right, right after this you're listening to show. All right.
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: Here we are at the last break of the day. Um, Steve.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: We've had a good day, talked about a lot of stuff,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: and of course, as usual, it is time for your
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: closing remarks. Today. I want to keep it positive, but
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: I want to keep it encouraging at the same time,
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: and always as usual, I just wanna say this before
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: I start. It's not that I think I know everything,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: because I don't. But in my sixty one years I
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: have learned quite a bit. I have learned how to
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: come from the back towards the front. I've learned how
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: to be at the bottom and work my way to
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: towards the top. I've learned how to get over because
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: I've been under I've learned how to win because I
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: have lost so many times. I've had learned how to
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: develop an understanding because I have been more than confused before.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: So I have paid for these lessons that I've learned.
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: So I'm just sharing, and that's all I'm doing. You
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: don't have to take any of this that I say
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: too harder. You may choose to go another way. But
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: for those that are really open to just hearing some
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: theories of success, that's why I decided to start doing
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: close and remarks again. Today, I want to talk to
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: you about something that really helps everybody, and it's very simple.
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: Get focused. You gotta get focused to folks. You've got
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: to become what I call laser being driven. You've got
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: to set your goals and visions up, and you've got
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: to put those blinders on that you see on the horse.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: See the reason they put the blinders on the horse
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: is so that the horses peripheral vision doesn't distract him.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: If you have up in New York and you see
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: those carriages going around Central Park, all those horses have
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: on blinders. It's so that they can keep the attention
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: of the horse straight ahead. Blinders are very good. If
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: you want to be successful, you're gonna have to put
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: on a pair of blinders. That's so your eyes when
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: you look left or right, it forces you to get
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: them back out front the where you're trying to go
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: see because those blinders block out distractions. They block out
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: distractions because they know you got to get laser being focused.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: If you want to be successful, you have to focus.
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: You have to stop veering off track. You're just making
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: the journey longer. You know, they say the quickest way
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: from point A to B is a straight line. Now
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: in life, it doesn't work that way. There's no straight lines.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: But you can avoid some of the detools, some of
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: the distractions. But you gotta quit veering off track. Everybody
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: come to you. You can't participate in everything. Hey man,
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: we're going out tonight. Hey man, we're going over here
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: this weekend. Hey man, come on man, you ain't gotta study.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: We're getting ready to do this. Hey man, don't worry
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: about that. We're going a happy hour. Come on, man,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: you can't go to everything. Stop veering off track next.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: Look at it like this. Get your mind made up.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: Get your mind made up of what you want to
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: have in your life, the legacy you want to leave,
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: what you want people to think of you as, how
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: much money you really want to make? Where are you
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: really trying to go? How do you really want to
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: be viewed? What do you really want to accomplish? Get
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: your mind and made up. Here's another way to look
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: at it. Make a decision. Stop stop just wandering around.
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: Life is a series of decisions. Make rue. Just make
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: a decision today. Make a decision. In other words, come
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: to a conclusion. Man. Just set up and say to yourself,
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: you know what, this is the deal for me, This
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: is what works best for me. This is who I
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: really am. Skip the outside interference from your friends and
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: your and your relatives of what they think you all
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: to be, and do what's really good for you. Don't
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: nobody know what's best for you better than you. Come
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: to a conclusion. Make a decision, set a goal, have
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: a vision. Get thirsty. Won't something so bad that without
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: it your mouth taste dry. You got to get thirsty, man,
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: See when you thirsty, you got to get that quenched.
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: You have to quench your thirst. And that's how you
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: gotta pursue success. You gotta pursue success like you're thirsty.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: You gotta be thirsty, man. You gotta want something so
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: bad that if you don't get it, your mouth tastes dry.
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: What are you thirsty for? If you ain't thirsty for nothing,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: you ain't giving it all you got. I'm telling you, man,
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: this is how I look at it. These are just
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: some triggers that I put in my head. Be relentless.
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: You got to be relentless about something. Being a relentless
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: person has a carryover effect. And if you get relentless
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: about your dreams and goals, do you know that makes
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: you relentless about everything. If you develop these positive characteristics
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: about being successful, you can get there. You got to
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: get focused. You gotta stop and off track. You gotta
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: get your mind made up. You gotta make a decision.
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: You gotta come to a conclusion. You gotta set a goal.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: You gotta have a vision. You gotta get thirsty. You
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: have to be relentless. If you're not, you will vey
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: off track. If you veer off track, you will never
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: get to where you're trying to go. You got to
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: get focused, y'all. It's as simple as that. And if
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: you know how to do it, ask God to show
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: you how. That's the other thing. No matter what I
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: tell you, if you include God and everything I'm telling
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: you that it becomes a lot simpler. You know, God
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: can help you get focused. Anything you're short of He
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: got plenty of God. And to make your dream come
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: true business. God is in the turn your life around business.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: God is in the pullet together business. God in the
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: get over business. He can do it. So if you
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: don't know how to get focused, ask God to help
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: you get focused and then make a decision to be
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: focused and get on with your make something happen to day.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: Those are my closed remarks today. All right, See, Hey,
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: can I tell y'all some have a great weekend Tuesday.
