- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harley got a radio show. Okay, here we go today, folks.
- 2:14Speaker 1: This is a good one because today I want to
- 2:18Speaker 1: share with you something that affects every living soul, and
- 2:24Speaker 1: that one thing is your attitude. This affects everyone. It
- 2:31Speaker 1: is your attitude. You know. I don't know if anyone's
- 2:37Speaker 1: ever told you, but I mean many of you who
- 2:40Speaker 1: listen know this. But there are a lot of people
- 2:43Speaker 1: who don't understand a positive attitude can bring about a change.
- 2:51Speaker 1: A positive attitude can bring about a change. Well, now
- 2:55Speaker 1: here we go with the nay says, well, Steve, what
- 2:57Speaker 1: you mean if I'm just positive? Being changed. My MoMA gone.
- 3:00Speaker 1: What me being positive got to do with that? Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 1: now listen to me carefully. A positive attitude can bring
- 3:07Speaker 1: about change. Well, okay, Steve, I hear you saying that,
- 3:11Speaker 1: But they didn't fired me. So now what does my
- 3:14Speaker 1: having a positive attitude have to do with the fact
- 3:17Speaker 1: that they fired me? Well, one more time, A positive
- 3:23Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. Or Steve, I set up
- 3:29Speaker 1: in here and gave eight nine, twelve years of my
- 3:33Speaker 1: life to this man and he just he cheated on
- 3:35Speaker 1: me and walked out. Now what does me being positive
- 3:39Speaker 1: have to do with him cheating on me? How that's
- 3:42Speaker 1: gonna change that? Okay, here we go again. A positive
- 3:46Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. Now listen to the whole thing. Now,
- 3:52Speaker 1: the positive attitude and the change that can happen starts
- 3:59Speaker 1: this is to start. It starts within you. See, life
- 4:06Speaker 1: is teen percent of what happens is what you do
- 4:09Speaker 1: about what happens. Okay, you gave twelve years of your
- 4:12Speaker 1: life to this man. He cheated and left you hold
- 4:15Speaker 1: in the bag, the kids and everything. Now what does
- 4:18Speaker 1: being positive have to do with changing that? Or they
- 4:21Speaker 1: came in and they fired you. You lost your job
- 4:24Speaker 1: that you was a stellar performer at. But now, how
- 4:27Speaker 1: does you having a positive attitude? How does that change
- 4:31Speaker 1: things for you? So far? You can use any example.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Here's what happens when you have a positive attitude. What
- 4:40Speaker 1: it produces within you is a positive approach to life.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And when you have a positive attitude and a positive
- 4:48Speaker 1: approach to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to
- 4:54Speaker 1: have a positive out look, to expect things to eventually
- 5:00Speaker 1: turn around, and and and and turn into a positive
- 5:03Speaker 1: That's very important because as the law of attraction comes
- 5:06Speaker 1: into play, if you think positive thoughts, you attract positive things.
- 5:14Speaker 1: If you think evil thoughts, you attract evil to you.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You know, if you want for nothing, then nothing comes
- 5:22Speaker 1: your way. If you want for a positive attitude, if
- 5:25Speaker 1: you want for positive results, if you want for a
- 5:28Speaker 1: great outcome, that's what you attract to you. The change
- 5:31Speaker 1: will begin within you. So let's take the man that
- 5:35Speaker 1: walked out your life and left you hold in the bag.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Here's a positive attitude. Okay, two things have happened as
- 5:43Speaker 1: positive here. Number one, you've ridd it yourself of someone
- 5:46Speaker 1: who is obviously going to be, if not already been,
- 5:50Speaker 1: toxic in your life. Cause you many restless nights, a
- 5:54Speaker 1: lot of uncomfortable feelings, an uneasiness, not sure insecure purity.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You've been going through it with this person, whoever they are.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Number One, that person has been released from your life.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Number Two, it allows you now to have the someone
- 6:11Speaker 1: who will treat you just the way you want to
- 6:13Speaker 1: be treated. That's the positive outlook, that's the optimistic way.
- 6:18Speaker 1: That's when you're a positive person. You see the positive
- 6:21Speaker 1: in things that happen to you, instead of burying yourself
- 6:25Speaker 1: under the hor's wrong with it, a old woe is
- 6:27Speaker 1: me now? Concept? See a positive attitude. When they came
- 6:32Speaker 1: in there and they fired you and let you go,
- 6:34Speaker 1: could this not have been just the opening you needed
- 6:38Speaker 1: to finally start on a new career path that you've
- 6:42Speaker 1: been talking about doing anyway? Could it possibly be a
- 6:46Speaker 1: brand new chance for you to get the dream job
- 6:49Speaker 1: or dream career of your choice. Could it not possibly
- 6:53Speaker 1: be the perfect opportunity now for you to finally finally
- 6:59Speaker 1: do something about that gift, about that talent that God
- 7:03Speaker 1: gave you, that thing that you love to do. Could
- 7:05Speaker 1: it not be the perfect time for you to pursue that?
- 7:08Speaker 1: But if you don't have a positive attitude. Then you
- 7:11Speaker 1: lay there. Oh they finn to come getting my house.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Oh what I'm gonna do now? All this unemployment ain't enough.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Oh Lord, when this unemployment run out, what am I
- 7:22Speaker 1: gonna do? Then I won't have nothing? And you old
- 7:25Speaker 1: woe is me until you become old, woe is me.
- 7:29Speaker 1: But if you take it from the positive approach, some
- 7:32Speaker 1: amazing things can happen in your life. I will tell
- 7:35Speaker 1: you on a personal note, that's some of the most
- 7:39Speaker 1: some of the best changes, some of the biggest moments
- 7:42Speaker 1: in my life came after a loss. So I don't
- 7:46Speaker 1: want to go down on the list, but boy, I
- 7:47Speaker 1: could tell you. Let me let me tell you something.
- 7:49Speaker 1: When they didn't want me on the radio anymore in La,
- 7:53Speaker 1: when they didn't when they when it was sicking the
- 7:54Speaker 1: way I did radio out there, and they wanted me gone.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And on May twenty, two thousand and five, when my when? When? When?
- 8:05Speaker 1: When my deal was done? With the beat out in La. Okay,
- 8:12Speaker 1: look what happened though, y'all was gone in May. But
- 8:16Speaker 1: in September nineteenth I started to Steve Harvey Radio Network
- 8:19Speaker 1: with four cities. You see, But I didn't go old
- 8:23Speaker 1: woe was me. I said, oh okay, God must have
- 8:28Speaker 1: something else from it then, because if he didn't remove
- 8:31Speaker 1: me from this, that must be something else. Same thing
- 8:34Speaker 1: can happened when you lose and you and you and
- 8:36Speaker 1: you break up in a relationship. Same thing can happen
- 8:38Speaker 1: to you. You never know the one God God for
- 8:41Speaker 1: you that here you go, here you go again. Now
- 8:44Speaker 1: you get put into a situation with somebody, treat you
- 8:46Speaker 1: just the way you want to be treated, provide you
- 8:49Speaker 1: the whole lot of aspects of your life you knew
- 8:51Speaker 1: nothing about prior to that. But you gotta stay positive.
- 8:54Speaker 1: If you stay positive, that positive attitude, that optimistic outlook,
- 8:59Speaker 1: that that that always thinking God got me no matter
- 9:03Speaker 1: what happened to me, some amazing things that's going can
- 9:06Speaker 1: will happen in your life. It's a fact. I don't
- 9:09Speaker 1: know how it works that way. I just know that's
- 9:12Speaker 1: what it is. Positive attitude is everything, y'all. So get
- 9:15Speaker 1: off the old woe is mean negativity train because it
- 9:18Speaker 1: ain't gonna take you nowhere but down and get get
- 9:21Speaker 1: your outlook up. If you change your attitude, you change
- 9:24Speaker 1: your altitude. Altitude is determined by your attitude, how high
- 9:30Speaker 1: you go, how big you become, how far you go.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It all depends on how you think. It all depends
- 9:36Speaker 1: on what type of attitude you got. It ain't no,
- 9:39Speaker 1: ain't no very very successful, super negative people. It just
- 9:44Speaker 1: doesn't coincide that way. If you see that something happened
- 9:47Speaker 1: to them along the way, and don't weary. You ain't
- 9:49Speaker 1: gonna wear ayboud it because you ain't gonna see them
- 9:50Speaker 1: long because you can't stay up there like that. It's
- 9:53Speaker 1: just too hard. All right, that's the conversation you're listening.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I am about to start the morning show. It's not
- 10:08Speaker 1: a normal show. It's the Steve Harvey Morning Show. What
- 10:13Speaker 1: makes it abnormal are the components Shirley Strawberry, Carlin Farrell, Junior,
- 10:21Speaker 1: Kill Spates and nephew Tommy. That's what makes it different
- 10:27Speaker 1: than any other show. You know why, because they know
- 10:29Speaker 1: all The show got deep people on it. Period. Now
- 10:33Speaker 1: what dropped that, Mike bet facts. Now that we got
- 10:41Speaker 1: that out of the way, Welcome to the most abnormal, special,
- 10:45Speaker 1: incredible morning show ever invented by mankind. We is it,

- 11:39Speaker 1: and I easy to you know, people say why you
- 11:41Speaker 1: call yourself the one and only? Because I am the
- 11:44Speaker 1: one and I am the only one that was made
- 11:47Speaker 1: and created by God this particular way. I'm truly the
- 11:52Speaker 1: one and only. Now if you want to put yourself
- 11:54Speaker 1: in a class or group, go ahead, And I ain't
- 11:57Speaker 1: got a problem with that. I am you need to
- 12:01Speaker 1: man by him and I accept that gladly. And they
- 12:06Speaker 1: claim to being v one and only. Steve Hardy, there
- 12:12Speaker 1: no doubt about it. You are too. See, all of
- 12:16Speaker 1: us are the one and only? Over six eight billions
- 12:21Speaker 1: or how many people on earth right now? Oh what's
- 12:25Speaker 1: the number is it? And how many people? You think?
- 12:34Speaker 1: Then die? Who that's just getting it up? Says at
- 12:39Speaker 1: the beginning. Yeah, they probably billions to billions. Yeah, at
- 12:45Speaker 1: all the billions of people to tell you how special
- 12:48Speaker 1: you are. Do you realize that none of us, This
- 12:52Speaker 1: is how cold God is, none of us have the
- 12:54Speaker 1: exact same finger Pretty, that's why you should never compare yourself.
- 13:00Speaker 1: That's what man. I'm deeply made and I am the one,
- 13:03Speaker 1: and please understand I play you have been saying it
- 13:06Speaker 1: for years. My wife on whole Instagram, I'm gonna say
- 13:09Speaker 1: it's the wife of the one and only she knows what. Yeah,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I am the wife. Oh, yes you are, girl, You're
- 13:24Speaker 1: bout right. Steven says. It's about seven five billion people
- 13:28Speaker 1: in the world, and no you count them, and the
- 13:31Speaker 1: ones has died and nobody's had the same fingerprint. There
- 13:35Speaker 1: ain't like nobody else. I've been new that so here
- 13:38Speaker 1: all right, coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:41Speaker 1: asked the CLLO. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey
- 13:46Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, guys, it's time now for asked
- 13:49Speaker 1: the CLO, Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building.
- 13:54Speaker 1: This one is from Jewel in making Georgia Jewel writes,
- 13:57Speaker 1: I'm in my mid fifties and I'm dating a guy
- 14:00Speaker 1: that is my age. He's a hard working professional man,
- 14:03Speaker 1: but I have a big issue with his grooming. We've
- 14:06Speaker 1: been together one month and on a few occasions I've
- 14:09Speaker 1: seen him bite his nails and spit them across the room.
- 14:14Speaker 1: I asked if he needed a nail clipper, and he
- 14:16Speaker 1: told me he has one that he only uses for
- 14:19Speaker 1: his toenails. Well, that couldn't be true, because his toenails
- 14:23Speaker 1: along as heck, dating after divorce is so hard, and
- 14:27Speaker 1: I compare men to my well groomed ex am I
- 14:31Speaker 1: being overly critical. Well let's look at this, your whale groom,
- 14:35Speaker 1: ec Dan, won't you no more? See, you have to
- 14:39Speaker 1: realize who's ever fault. The divorce was at one point
- 14:43Speaker 1: in time, everybody got signed the paper. So there's a
- 14:47Speaker 1: particular moment when neither either one of you won't each other.
- 14:52Speaker 1: So now you keep comparing yourself to somebody that don't
- 14:55Speaker 1: won't you. Now here's the problem with Dayton. Everybody's going
- 15:00Speaker 1: to be different than somebody else. Everybody. He has a
- 15:04Speaker 1: habit of biting his nails, and his toe nails is long.
- 15:09Speaker 1: We've got to do something like that, thought, something Nah,
- 15:12Speaker 1: you can work on that. He ain't had nobody working
- 15:15Speaker 1: on it. Just say, hey, look, it really disgusted me
- 15:19Speaker 1: when you bite your nails and spit across the rule,
- 15:22Speaker 1: And it really disgusted me that you got claws on
- 15:27Speaker 1: your feet. Now, I'm gonna help you because obviously no
- 15:31Speaker 1: one else has taken the time to love you that way,
- 15:34Speaker 1: and because you're a professional and make a lot of
- 15:37Speaker 1: money and you're doing real well in life. Anybody said nothing,
- 15:40Speaker 1: but I'm gonna help you. Can I help you? Most
- 15:43Speaker 1: men will accept the help you. But but but first
- 15:48Speaker 1: of all, compliment him on what he is before you
- 15:52Speaker 1: take him down with what he got the voice knees. Girl,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I love you. You are special. You're something thing else
- 16:00Speaker 1: you really do ooh you make money? Something your hand something? Yeah,
- 16:08Speaker 1: you go to get that pedicure. Yeah, two things I
- 16:12Speaker 1: would I would wonder if you would just consider for me. Yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 1: getting your nails across the room, because I don't want
- 16:20Speaker 1: nobody talking about my man. Because he got a habit
- 16:22Speaker 1: of chewing his nails and spending across the room. It's amazing.
- 16:28Speaker 1: It's gonna be hard for him to stop. You can't
- 16:30Speaker 1: because you can't get your foot in your mouth. No
- 16:31Speaker 1: more to him. Last time you had your foot in
- 16:38Speaker 1: your mouth, you was a baby. Time he was all right.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Moving on. Wanda in Jacksonville, says, my coworker and I
- 16:45Speaker 1: used to be real cool. So she was invited to
- 16:48Speaker 1: an NFL game with her new boyfriend. I let her
- 16:51Speaker 1: borrow one of my designer purses. She brought it back
- 16:55Speaker 1: to me at work and it was full of trash
- 16:58Speaker 1: and change, and there was a sticky film all on it.
- 17:01Speaker 1: She said. She got tipsy and spilled a cup of
- 17:04Speaker 1: bourbon on the purse and inside of it. I asked
- 17:08Speaker 1: her to get my purse professionally clean so the leather
- 17:11Speaker 1: won't be ruined. She refused to and left it on
- 17:13Speaker 1: my desk. How can I force her to clean my purse?
- 17:18Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, you can't force her to clean
- 17:20Speaker 1: your purse. But two things it's gonna happen. These are
- 17:24Speaker 1: the two things that should happen after this. Number one,
- 17:27Speaker 1: I never loaned my stuff out to No, damn, how
- 17:30Speaker 1: much you like it that. That's number one. I'm not
- 17:33Speaker 1: loaning you nothing else. And then number two were not
- 17:36Speaker 1: friends no more because friends don't treat friends that way.
- 17:40Speaker 1: So theven the two things you out of number one.
- 17:43Speaker 1: You learned a lesson. Don't ever loan your stuff. I'll
- 17:46Speaker 1: let you use a design a bag. What is that normal?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Is that? What women do they do that? I mean
- 17:53Speaker 1: you know, I don't know. I mean no, I give
- 17:57Speaker 1: mine away like I've given my find the backs of
- 18:00Speaker 1: Way to family members, friends. You can't have it. I'm
- 18:05Speaker 1: just saying, y'all always say I had a little rich
- 18:08Speaker 1: as moments were coming from this here, give it away,
- 18:12Speaker 1: design the bags. Ain't nobody want to say nothing about that.
- 18:16Speaker 1: That's not I'm not on the same level as you.
- 18:21Speaker 1: We talk about whatever level you want. Rachel, let me
- 18:25Speaker 1: interject in him. Don't let me do it in a jet.
- 18:28Speaker 1: In a jet, what do you want to say? Him?
- 18:32Speaker 1: And God is like tight, ain't a boy at getting
- 18:43Speaker 1: indicate her time? Oh God, gonna be into that state.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Want trouble though, you don't want to trouble. Not at
- 18:59Speaker 1: the gate. All right, So clean your own leather bag, ma'am.
- 19:02Speaker 1: That's what he's saying. All right, putting your own other brag.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Don't ever loan your stuff out again and lose her.
- 19:08Speaker 1: That's right, Georsha and Philly says in twenty nineteen, I
- 19:11Speaker 1: married a great man and he moved in with me.
- 19:14Speaker 1: He sold his house, and he promised to use the
- 19:16Speaker 1: money for our honeymoon. The pandemic shut down our plans
- 19:19Speaker 1: for a year, but I feel like it's safe to
- 19:21Speaker 1: travel now. My husband said he'd rather save the money
- 19:25Speaker 1: for a rainy day. I told him, either we are
- 19:27Speaker 1: booking a trip, or he needs to put the money
- 19:30Speaker 1: in our joint savings account. He said it was his money,
- 19:33Speaker 1: not ours. He's living in my house, so I told
- 19:37Speaker 1: him that everything is ours to share. Is this a
- 19:40Speaker 1: sign that he's not all in? Well, it's not a
- 19:45Speaker 1: sign that he's not all in. It's a sign that
- 19:47Speaker 1: you all didn't discuss an important thing about marriage, which
- 19:51Speaker 1: is finance and how you all should make moves like this.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I'm assuming that you are how old are they? And say,
- 20:00Speaker 1: but I'm assuming to be up in age? Because if
- 20:02Speaker 1: he owns a house and you own a house, that
- 20:05Speaker 1: means y'all took the time out to invest in yourself.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Down the line, does it mean that he's not all in? No,
- 20:11Speaker 1: it just simply means he doesn't understand what marriage is
- 20:14Speaker 1: all about. He promised he would use the money for
- 20:17Speaker 1: their honey, but then the pandemic shunned that down and
- 20:20Speaker 1: now he wants to save it for a rainy day,
- 20:22Speaker 1: which makes sense, but the statement of it ain't show
- 20:26Speaker 1: money is my money because at the time it was
- 20:30Speaker 1: his house before he met you. So he's having a
- 20:33Speaker 1: her house. Yeah, but now does he know that that's
- 20:37Speaker 1: your house or does he understand that it's our house,
- 20:41Speaker 1: Because if he thinks it's our house, then he must
- 20:43Speaker 1: know that that's our money. You're gonna have to sit
- 20:46Speaker 1: down and have a conversation with him. Yeah, our pastor
- 20:50Speaker 1: could help him understand it better. Maybe y'all should go
- 20:52Speaker 1: to past it. Yeah, it's a dispute. Thank you, Clo
- 20:57Speaker 1: coming up next to nephew and run that brank back
- 21:00Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning
- 21:03Speaker 1: Show coming up at the top of the hour and
- 21:06Speaker 1: trending headlines and entertainment news. Kim Kardashian's lawyer has denied
- 21:12Speaker 1: the existence of an unreleased second sex tape. Okay, we'll
- 21:17Speaker 1: talk about that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah, we're gonna get
- 21:21Speaker 1: into it. You heard me. We're gonna get into it. Yeah, right, Steve,
- 21:28Speaker 1: But you don't know what also Chris Rock has covid um.
- 21:36Speaker 1: We'll talk about that as well, all of these stories
- 21:38Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. But right now you
- 21:40Speaker 1: hear him the nephew is here, would run that prank back?
- 21:43Speaker 1: What you got for his nap? Can I have your kidney?
- 21:47Speaker 1: Come on to loan me a kidney till I get
- 21:52Speaker 1: on my feet. Let's go kid Hello, Hello, I'm trying
- 21:56Speaker 1: to reach the brother Conny. This is how you're doing. Brother.
- 22:01Speaker 1: This is Diacon Patterson called him from the church. How
- 22:03Speaker 1: you doing today, Uh, Deacon Patterson, Yeah, just doing frind
- 22:07Speaker 1: and yourself, sir, I'm doing good, doing good. You know

- 41:12Speaker 1: do not understand this man. And some of the statements
- 41:16Speaker 1: that they make about abortion are utterly ridiculous. Yeah, this
- 41:22Speaker 1: horrible Greg Abbot is horrible, and voters in Texas, like
- 41:26Speaker 1: you said, Steve, we got to wake up. I mean,
- 41:30Speaker 1: Harris County, which is Houston, was blue the county, you know,
- 41:35Speaker 1: and so they both turned five Harris. So we got
- 41:38Speaker 1: to get the rest of the state on board. This man,
- 41:41Speaker 1: Greg Abbot and his leadership has failed. It failed miserably.
- 41:46Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you something else too. We have
- 41:50Speaker 1: to be really conscious of this party because their reador
- 41:55Speaker 1: rick is too faisty. They talk about morality, but they
- 42:01Speaker 1: turn right around and do the most immoral things you've
- 42:05Speaker 1: ever seen. Oh you don't give a damn about people
- 42:10Speaker 1: of color, but you want to call yourself a Christian.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Oh you don't give a damn about voting right acts,
- 42:20Speaker 1: but you're gonna call yourself a Christian man, Miss me.
- 42:24Speaker 1: With this semester right here, y'all got all these policies
- 42:27Speaker 1: to say this is the party we are. But I'm
- 42:30Speaker 1: telling you, man, you're not a party of the people,
- 42:33Speaker 1: and you're even less now, Oh they're the party of
- 42:37Speaker 1: a few, but they include everybody with this, with these
- 42:44Speaker 1: moral principles that they say they're saying on but they
- 42:49Speaker 1: don't mean nothing, because let me tell you something, it's
- 42:52Speaker 1: equally the same amount, if not more Republicans get abortions
- 42:58Speaker 1: than Democrats. See, they m showed me the stat that
- 43:04Speaker 1: says democrats or liberals get more abortions than conservatives. They
- 43:12Speaker 1: kids is having babies too. You don't know nothing about.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Oh you think them little kids ain't coming home talking
- 43:20Speaker 1: about they pregnant and their parents are doing something about it?
- 43:22Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? A party? Absolutely? Yeah, it's ridiculous.
- 43:31Speaker 1: And then the lies, the lies, don't forget all the lines,
- 43:35Speaker 1: the big lie, the big one they won and they
- 43:39Speaker 1: really didn't win, and just lying about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 43:45Speaker 1: And you got all of them on board with you
- 43:48Speaker 1: in this line. We got again, yep again. National voter
- 43:56Speaker 1: Registration Week of action is September twenty seventh through October third.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Let's get your friends, your family, your boyfriends, your girlfriends, mama's, daddy's,
- 44:04Speaker 1: all of that neighbors to register to vote and check
- 44:08Speaker 1: their voter registration status right now so you can be ready.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Go to when we All Vote dot org for more details.
- 44:15Speaker 1: When we All Vote dot org for more details. All right, yeah,

- 44:23Speaker 1: it is the nephew with today's prank phone call. Right

- 44:31Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. Right about four

- 45:58Speaker 1: all about the four to three relationship because she's really
- 46:00Speaker 1: interested in it. For three relationship. You say you talked
- 46:05Speaker 1: to my wife about it? Yeah, I talked to Keisha
- 46:07Speaker 1: a couple of days ago. She gave me the number.
- 46:08Speaker 1: She said, called him back. He'll be at home at
- 46:10Speaker 1: this time. You can hit him up and see if
- 46:12Speaker 1: he likes she said. But she definitely likes it, man,
- 46:14Speaker 1: And she wanted to see if you would be interested
- 46:16Speaker 1: in the four to three relationship too. You know, I
- 46:18Speaker 1: want to get your approval on it. Before we went
- 46:20Speaker 1: in it further. But your wife was very excited about it, man.
- 46:23Speaker 1: She was wanted to get started as soon as possible.
- 46:26Speaker 1: And I wanted to see about contacting you and making
- 46:29Speaker 1: sure that you agreed and approved on everything. But she
- 46:32Speaker 1: definitely wanted to get your blessing and get your approval
- 46:34Speaker 1: on it. Yeah. I try to do anything to make
- 46:37Speaker 1: her happy, though, but I got to get some some
- 46:40Speaker 1: information about this. What is said again for three four three? No? No,
- 46:44Speaker 1: it's a four to three. A four to three relationship,

- 47:19Speaker 1: A four three relationship, Maurice, is this? You know, you
- 47:22Speaker 1: spend four days with Keisha and she comes over to
- 47:26Speaker 1: my place and she spend the other three days with me.

- 47:32Speaker 1: of frees you up, man on anything you might want
- 47:34Speaker 1: to do on those other three days. Man, when she

- 47:42Speaker 1: you kind of have some free time to yourself. But
- 47:44Speaker 1: she'll be over in my place on the other three days.

- 54:21Speaker 1: it for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter subject.
- 54:23Speaker 1: I don't like company and he knows it. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:27Speaker 1: I've been married for seven years to a man that
- 54:30Speaker 1: is wonderful in every way except one. He doesn't respect
- 54:34Speaker 1: my time or my privacy. I knew him for many
- 54:37Speaker 1: years prior to dating him, and we would meet his
- 54:40Speaker 1: friends for dinner and drinks when he was in between relationships.
- 54:46Speaker 1: He went from relationship to relationship before we started dating
- 54:49Speaker 1: because he is the type of man that does not
- 54:51Speaker 1: ever want to be alone. He would always say he
- 54:55Speaker 1: was out of my league. But he grew on me
- 54:57Speaker 1: over time and asked me he wanted to if we
- 55:01Speaker 1: could start dating. Since then, he hasn't wanted me out
- 55:05Speaker 1: of his sight. It was cute at first, but then
- 55:08Speaker 1: he got his family all in the mix. They are
- 55:10Speaker 1: very clingy and there's a lot of them. Before we
- 55:13Speaker 1: got married, I had to go to cookouts, birthdays, weddings
- 55:16Speaker 1: and church with them. I don't see my own family
- 55:19Speaker 1: as much as I see his. My husband doesn't understand
- 55:23Speaker 1: that I need to have people around me all of
- 55:26Speaker 1: the time. My husband under My husband doesn't understand that
- 55:29Speaker 1: I don't need to have people all around me all
- 55:32Speaker 1: the time. He's a professional chef and partner in a
- 55:34Speaker 1: new restaurant, so he works long hours. I look forward
- 55:38Speaker 1: to the peace and quiet of our home when he's working,
- 55:41Speaker 1: but he seems to think he's depriving me of quality
- 55:44Speaker 1: time and I'm bored or lonely. They'll have his sisters
- 55:47Speaker 1: or his mom stop by unannounced and they sit and
- 55:50Speaker 1: chat for hours. I've had to literally put on my
- 55:55Speaker 1: pajamas like I'm going to bed so they'll leave. Recently,
- 55:58Speaker 1: his youngest brother asked to stay with us for the
- 56:01Speaker 1: semester since we live close to the college. My husband
- 56:05Speaker 1: told him he's welcome to stay without asking me first.
- 56:09Speaker 1: He knows I do not want to be bothered ninety
- 56:11Speaker 1: eight percent of the time, So why does he keep
- 56:14Speaker 1: trying to push his family off on me. I definitely
- 56:17Speaker 1: don't hate him, but I would love to set boundaries.
- 56:20Speaker 1: How do I get my husband to understand? All right, Well,
- 56:26Speaker 1: I think it's a little late for that, because you've
- 56:28Speaker 1: been letting this happen for seven years now, and it
- 56:31Speaker 1: started before you guys were married. You said you went
- 56:34Speaker 1: to birthday celebrations, barbecues, weddings, all of that, all sorts
- 56:38Speaker 1: of family gatherings. How are they supposed to know you
- 56:41Speaker 1: don't like company. You're always around them. Your husband is
- 56:45Speaker 1: the one inviting them, though he's very sociable. Isn't he
- 56:49Speaker 1: very sociable? Doesn't he know that it's crazy for them
- 56:52Speaker 1: to drop by unannounced, but they think you're home because
- 56:57Speaker 1: and they know your home because your husband tells them.
- 56:59Speaker 1: So you can't and hide in the room or anything
- 57:01Speaker 1: and act like you're not there. Your husband already told
- 57:04Speaker 1: him you're up in there. So instead of sitting around
- 57:07Speaker 1: being mad, being stressed out, you gotta let your husband
- 57:10Speaker 1: know that you enjoy your solitude. You got to be
- 57:13Speaker 1: serious about this. Tell him you like having your me time.
- 57:17Speaker 1: You know things have changed, you know you work and
- 57:20Speaker 1: all of that, and you gotta be serious with him.
- 57:22Speaker 1: It is very disrespectful for him to invite his brother
- 57:26Speaker 1: to live with you without asking you. Come on, now,
- 57:30Speaker 1: he can't do that. You got to sit him down
- 57:32Speaker 1: and have a serious conversation with him. He's obviously very
- 57:36Speaker 1: protective of you that I guess that's why he wants
- 57:38Speaker 1: people around you all the time. But I'm sure you
- 57:41Speaker 1: can make him understand. So again, I think you got
- 57:44Speaker 1: to tell him in no uncertain terms. Steve, Well, you
- 57:49Speaker 1: know I always take the letters from the top all
- 57:54Speaker 1: the way down. Surely has a different approach. Shirley said
- 58:01Speaker 1: that it's too late in this letter, and the reason
- 58:04Speaker 1: she said it was because you knew all of this
- 58:10Speaker 1: before you married him. But you married him anyway. But
- 58:18Speaker 1: if that said, it's not too late and I have
- 58:20Speaker 1: some solutions. You've been married seven years as a very
- 58:25Speaker 1: wonderful man in everywhere except one. He doesn't respect your
- 58:30Speaker 1: time or privacy. I would like to tell you something.
- 58:33Speaker 1: He doesn't know that he's disrespecting your time in privacy.
- 58:38Speaker 1: He just doesn't flat out know it. I knew him
- 58:41Speaker 1: for many years prior to dating him, and we would
- 58:43Speaker 1: meet its friends for dinner and drinks when he was
- 58:45Speaker 1: in between relationships. He went from relationship to relationship before
- 58:50Speaker 1: y'all started dating, because he's the type of man that
- 58:52Speaker 1: don't ever like to be alone. And let me point
- 58:55Speaker 1: this out. You knew that he would always say that
- 59:00Speaker 1: he was out of my league, but he grew on
- 59:02Speaker 1: me over time. Now, for those of you listening to
- 59:05Speaker 1: what he says, when he says he out of her league,
- 59:08Speaker 1: that means she was out of his league. That's what
- 59:12Speaker 1: that really means. That she was a little bit too
- 59:15Speaker 1: much polished and second greatness for you know, for him,
- 59:21Speaker 1: that's what that really means. But over time, he grew
- 59:23Speaker 1: on me, and I asked him if he wanted to
- 59:27Speaker 1: start dating. Well, since then, he hasn't wanted me out
- 59:30Speaker 1: of his sight. It was cute at first, but he
- 59:33Speaker 1: got his family in the mix. They're very cleaning, clinging.
- 59:37Speaker 1: It's a lot of them. Say, it's kind of like roaches.
- 59:40Speaker 1: You know. We get a big family and there's a
- 59:43Speaker 1: lot of them, and they clinging at roaches. That's what
- 59:47Speaker 1: that's like. And the reason I don't mean it in
- 59:50Speaker 1: a negative sense, but that's just the roaches. Let's look
- 59:54Speaker 1: at the and you'll see why. You can understand roaches
- 59:59Speaker 1: is a always a lot of them. If you see one,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: you better get the spraying. Because he ain't ever buy
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: myself another quality about roaches. They are well, they are well,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I'm just letting him know. And they cling it. They're
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: on the walls, they're on the back of the refrigerator,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: they're on the floor and the base cabino under the saint.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: You've married into a family of roaches. And when we
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: come back, I will offer you some type of solution,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: right all right? Coming up Steve's response his part two
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour, the subject is
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: I don't like company, and he knows it. We'll get
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening Morning Show
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: all right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letter,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: the subject I don't like company and he knows it well.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Been married for seven years to this wonderful man, and
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: everywhere except you say he don't respect your privacy. But
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I don't think he realizes what he's doing. Man, And
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: I point this to you in the letter. You knew
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: him for years before, and he was always in and
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: out of relationships. And because he's the type of man
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: that never wants to be alone, he told you he
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: knew that you was out of his league. But then
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: you asked him if he wanted to start dating because
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: you ain't hand nobody, And then he said yes, And
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: then y'all got together, and he didn't want you out
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: of his sight. And at first it was cute, but
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: now it didn't got on your damn names. So nine,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: he didn't got his family all up in the mix,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: which means that they're very clinging. There's a lot of them.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I equated this before the break, that you have now
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: married into a family roaches, because roaches, and the reason
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I mean there's not even like you bugs, but I
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: mean just they is always more than one of them.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: They everywhere, and they all over the damn place. And
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: before you got married, you had to go to cookouts, birthdays,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: weddings in church with him. You know, I don't see
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: my whole family as much as I see here. Yeah,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: but your man in the heads though. And remember this
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: is the Roach family, last name roaches, Earl Roaches, Walter Roaches,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Charlie Roaches, Gerald, Dan, Sheila Roaches, Keisha Roaches. It's just
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: a lot of them. And so anyway, my husband doesn't
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: understand that I don't need to have people around me
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: all the time. See, he's a professional chef and a
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: party in the new restaurant, Now that's a lot of hours.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: So he works a lot, and and you look forward
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: to the peace and quiet in our home when he's working.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: But he thinks he's depriving you of quality time. And
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: you bored and lonely, so here seeing his sisters or
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: his mother to stop by on announced and they sit
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: and chat for hours. This got to stop. And a
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: couple of ways you need to do this. First of all,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: you need to stop answering the damn dough. Yeah you can.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I used to do it all the time. Bill collectors
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: and witnesses they knew when you came to my house,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: it's fit to be a little it's gonna be a
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: little tricky. Great men, I had a screen door on
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: my house when I first got married, and the door
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: would be open, and the screen door would be locked
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: if you came up there on a Saturday morning, rang
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: that doughbell. We wasn't hard. I walked out the kitchen
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: and look right after screen though. They look right at me,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: and I turned around and gonna sit back down because
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I'm not fen to hear this. I'm not fit to
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: buy one. You could asking me do I wan't one.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: You can get off my poach. I'm all it. So
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I'm already not going down to the church. I'm chauffing
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: and not go down to the hall. Y'all can get
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: off my poach. Okay, you're gonna have to stop answering
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: your damn dough. I don't care if your car is
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: in the driveway. Yeah you didn't hit, you were sleeping.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I don't give a damn they're looking to when they
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: see you looking at TV. Keep eating your popcorn. When
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: they knock on the window, don't turn you know it's them. Man,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Why not better to be rude than them than to
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: have them sitting up that chatting five hours and rude
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: to you. You ton't putting you to literally had to
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: put on your pajamas like you're going to bed, so
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: they'll lead. They still don't leave, So why not save
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: yourself the trouble of going through all that while they
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: knocking on the door looking in the one to go
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: in your room and get your pajamas and come back
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: and put Yo Pa Jamma's on in the living room
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: and then turn the TV off and go getting the bed.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: They got to go home, all this in front of
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: their face. His youngest brother asked to stay with us
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: for the semester since we live close to the college.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Bars and told him he welcome to stay without asking me.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: He knows I don't want to be bothered ninety eight
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: percent of the time, So why does he keep trying
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: to push his family out on me. He don't know
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: how to say no, and he don't like being alone.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: So now you his wife, and he thinking you cool
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: with it. The little boy can't stay here because it's
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: close to the college. It's better get up on that bus,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: o berth. They got all types of stuff out now, Oh,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: berth Bus dormitory. They got a lot of things out
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: that night that you can get cool. You can get
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: real close to the college. You getting that damn done.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Your ask could be right there. But we're gonna try
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: all that because you not standing in here, and you
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: need to tell him you want to walk around your
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: house like you want to, and this little boy his
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: brother's gonna inhibit that. And you should never feel uncomfortable
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: in your own house. So why does he keep trying
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: to push his family off on me? Because he thank
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: you lonely and you don't like being at the house,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: and you're gonna have to prove him that you enjoy
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: the loneliness and just to help him understand better since
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: he don't like being alone. If you don't stop pushing
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: your family on me and don't allow me some meat time,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna get me some meat time because you already
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: know I'm out your league. And you know this sounds
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: like a threat or damn threat. I definitely don't hate them,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: but I would love to set boundaries. How can I
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: get my husband to understand? Just like I said, you
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: start by making their ass knock to they drop. Okay,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: we gotta run Steve. Post your comments on today's Strawberry
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Letter a Mary f M drawing, Instagram, role Facebook. Check
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: out the Strubberry and Letter podcast on demand. Coming up
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: to forty six minutes after sports Stalk with Junior. Right
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: All right, guys, Junior is here with sports stock. What
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: you got Junior? All right? First of all, let me
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: just say congratulations again off to Steve and Cleveland Browns
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: for being in the Houston, Texas offer congratulations on a welcome.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Well man, they want already they didn't want. Well, what
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: they're trying to do, Tommy is trying to soften the blow.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: What I may say, Yeah, front, you need to learn
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: that tech say what can't you say? We love? What
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: else can you say? I didn't say nothing, Nah, we
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: just just got in front of it. But also in
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: other sports news, man ways, Cam's gonna play that man?
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: You know? Do you know it's only week two and five?
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Starting quarterbacks out already? I know somebody he could play
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: somewhere definitely. Okay, let's go down list Carson Witz for
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: the coach he out ain't probably two to four weeks.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: You can really use Cam Newton. They can use Cam
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: Tyrod Taylor. The Texas Nord knows we can use Cam
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: right now? Lord, did you see our backed up quarterback
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: The first play he the first play he did on Sunday,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: he tried to ham to a running back that wasn't there.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: So I don't know we got did We should send
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: him one? We really could use him. I can't even
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: say this board name down in mind, but two a
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: tiger lot bore to two out. That's all. He out
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: with Blues reb he had about two to four weeks.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: They could use Cam. And did Dalton for Chicago he out.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: They're not gonna use him because Justin Fields brought them
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: back in to get the victory on Sunday. He's out
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: with a knee injury. And Ryan Vinzpatrick Fitzpatrick from Washington
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: football team, he is out. He has a help. He's
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: probably about six to eight weeks. And his old coach
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: they could really use them because his old coach is
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Ron Rivera when he was at the Carol out of Panthers.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: They should bring him in. Yeah, So we need Cam
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: to land somewhere. Best fit though, I probably think would
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: be Miami. I think, yeah, I think he could really
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: his and his dress code goes well with Miami. He
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: can be wild like that, you know, with the kind
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: of the hats and they all all the all the
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: colors and everything colors. Yeah, he fitting in rped that. Yeah,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Miami will be a good fit for him, man. And
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: so you also, you know they're gonna probably start talks
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: back up to get the Shawn wantson. Miami might be
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: going back after de Shawn wantson. And this is what
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: we want for they have a masseuse form. I mean
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: in the contract. Hey, they won't save yourself, yourself all
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: that trouble. Let's just get it in the contract, I know, man,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: Sean Man, look, man, we just want to say we
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: have it in court. Man, That's all I'm saying. But
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: they walked six. Hate that he made the mistake, you know.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: I hate that he made the mistake. Yeah, you know.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: And it's for it's for they're saying sexual assault. Um,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: it's it's a lot that that can be wrapped into that. Yeah,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: you know, And I just I wish it never had happened, man, true,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: all right, see we're happening. Thank you, Junior, Thank you Junior.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Is your
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: partner your best friend? We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Here's a question for you, guys.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Is your partner your best friend? Were your friends before
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: you became romantic? Oh? Yeah? You know. It seems despite
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: the popularity of dating apps, most relationships start the old
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: fashioned way. That's right. Most of them do with people
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: who are friends first. In fact, researchers have found that
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: sixty six sixty six percent of people were platonic friends
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: with their partner before starting a romantic relationship. So, Steve,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I gotta go to you. Do you believe there are
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: benefits to being friends with someone before you date them?
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I mean, it is. It's not necessary, but it but
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: it it is, But it's not necessary. And a lot
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: of relationships start the other way first, they get physical
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: before they're good friends. Yeah, and um, I'm right now,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: I'm married to my best friend because I ain't got none.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: You ain't got I ain't got no real friends. No,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: you know I ain't. I ain't. I don't really have
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: no dudes I share everything with. I just don't. I've
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: grown out of that space. I want to ask you
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: this because it's always puzzled me. What about people who
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: are friends? They're really really good friends. We have a
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: lot of strawberry letters about this. They're really good friends,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: and then they try to be romantic and it doesn't
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: work out and the friendship gets all weird after that. Look, look, look, look, look,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: I said a hundred times. I'm not gonna stop saying it.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: If a man is attracted to you, it's hard for
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: him to stay your friend, right, you say that all
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: the time. I don't know how, I don't and I
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: don't know why we keep debating this thing. If a
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: man is attracted to you, it's gonna be really hard
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: for him to stay your friend. It's really hard. So
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: let's just notice. If you know that you're attractive to
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: this guy and y'all just friends, it's just until he
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: see a crack in the door. A physical friend, and
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: he's gonna be physical friend. What a physical friend like
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: a friend with benefits? What are you talking about? We're
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: gonna be physical, but we're gonna be friends, you know
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's a friend. That's a kind of relationship.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: That's a friends with benefit, that's a sexual relationship. Call
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: it what you want to call it's a sexual relationship
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: and eventually feelings on one one of the parts is
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: gonna get involved, usually the woman, Usually the woman exactly. Yeah,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: that's what I'm in love. Man ain't nobody sign up
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: for love. It's supposed to be just nice physical friends,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: says the host. Are Ready to Love from Julia from
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Radio Tommy and TV Tommy, I got you, I got you.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: You ain't all the way crazy taught me. Far from it.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: So Steve, it is still your contention that men and
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: women it's hard for them to be friends without being physical.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: That is that what you're saying If the man is
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: attracted to you, I've never seen what? How? What just
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: just show? That's that? So then the question is what
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: we just brought up surely with the with the second
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: to be friends? Can you first and then date? And
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: you're saying that if you are friends and that man
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: is attracted to the woman, because said who We're trying
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: to say, if you're gonna be friends first and then
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: you're gonna date, how does that work? If you say
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: men and women can't be friends if a man is
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: attracted to you. Eventually, when there's a crack in the door,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: he's going to annoy. If he can put his foot
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: in the door and be more than friends, right, than
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: these relationships that turn start out that way can turn
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: out and blossom into wonderful and beautiful relationship, your ship.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: It can happen then sometimes and that's a great way
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: for it to start because you started as friends. It's
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: a great thing to happen. Now here's a sad part.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Ain't attracted to you. Okay, we gotta go, Steve, hold on,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: we gotta go. All right, We'll be back with more
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steven Show. All right,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: we're back, Steve. Let's try to clear this up once
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: and for all if we can, because there's so much
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: debate about this. Can men and women be friends? And
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: once they cross that physical line, can they still be friends?
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Because sometimes that gets weird. So so let's let's try
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: to clear this up because it is a debate, ongoing
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: debate between men and women all the time. You say,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: what man did you? And this way I'd be teller.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Men and women can be friends only if the man
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: does not find the woman attractive. Or is not attracted
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: to her for whatever the reason. If a man finds
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: you attractive and is attracted to you and is your friend,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: I want you to understand that the moment there is
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: a crack in the door, a chink in the armor,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: and he see a way he can fit in and
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: be more than your friend, or you'll do that. Absolutely,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: he will unequivocally. Now, can you start a friendship that
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: way and it blossom into a relationship? Yes? And you
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: know why the blossom into a relationship because he's been
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: attracted to you the whole time period. Now here's the
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: sad part that you don't want to hear. If the
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: man is not attracted to you or find you unattractive,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: you can be his friend. Okay, all right, we'll be
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: debating this for centuries to come. All Right, more of
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: minutes after right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, it's time now for
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: ask the CLO chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: This one is from Jewel in Macon, Georgia. Jewel writes,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: I'm in my mid fifties and I'm dating a guy
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: that is my age. He's a hard working professional man,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: but I have a big issue with his grooming. We've
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: been together one month, and on a few occasions I've
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: seen him bite his nails and spit them across the room.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: I asked if he needed a nail clipper, and he
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: told me he has one that he only uses for
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: his toenails. Well, that couldn't be true, because his toenails
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: are long as heck. Dating after divorce is so hard,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: and I compare men to my well groomed ex am,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: I being overly critical. Well let's look at this well
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: groom ink didn't won't you no more? See, you have
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: to realize who's ever fault. The divorce was at one
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: point in time, everybody got signed the paper. So there's
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: a particular moment. Who are neither either one of you
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: won't each other? So now you keep comparing yourself to
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: somebody that don't won't you. Now here's the problem with Dayton.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Everybody's gonna be different than somebody else. Everybody. He has
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: a habit of biting his nails, and his toenails is long.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: We gotta do something. Nah, you can work on that
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: he ain't had nobody working on it. Just say, hey, look,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: it really disgusted me when you bite your nails and
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: spit across the rule, and it really discussed me that
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: you got claws on your feet. Now, I'm will help
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: you because obviously no one else has taken the time
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: to love you that way, and because you're a professional
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: and and make a lot of money and you're doing
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: real wale in life. Anybody saying nothing but I'm gonna
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: help you? Can I help you? Most men will accept
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: the help you cut me with them. But but but
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: first of all, compliment him on what he is before
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: you take him down with what he got. Nice knees.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: That's girl. I love you. You are special. You're something
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: else you really do ooh you make money? Something something
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: your hand something. Yeah, yeah, I got two things I
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: would want. I would wonder if you would just consider
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: for me. Yeah, your nails, because I don't want nobody
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: talking about my man. Because he got a habit of
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: chewing his nails and spinning across the room. Amazing, it's
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: gonna be hard for him to stop. You can't because
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: you can't get your foot in your mouth. No more
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: to him last time you had your foot in your mouth,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: you was a baby's time. He was all right, coming up.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: It is our last break of the day. And also
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: at forty nine minutes after the hour, we'll have some
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey right
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show all right, here we
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: are our last break of the day on this Tuesday.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: It's been a good day, um and Steve, this is
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: World Gratitude Day, World Gratitude. That's amazing. It is that. Yeah,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: I've never heard who did they just stought this? Well, yes,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I don't know. I haven't heard the world. I've never
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: heard the World Gratitude Day. And I've been alive a
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: lot of days. But you know, man, that's a good thing,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: you know what. But it's also a reminder, and you
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: know what because I think one of the most under
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: promoted principles of success, because you know, look, you go
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: to a lot of success seminars and things like that,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: and you go to a lot of places. You know,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: people spend money to learn how to get into real
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: estate with no money down. People find ways to buy
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: these different training programs to better yourselves or increase your lifestyle.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: People do all types of things. I mean, and I
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: ain't mad at you. I don't blame you at all,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: because you know, I got into Amway because they said,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: you know, you could become a millionaire basically selling soap.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: But it was a bit more to that when I
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: got into it. But I learned more about the principles
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: of success from Amway that I did from anything else.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: And am Wi should contact me one day because I
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: would be a great speaker at Amway because I just
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: involved in it for almost three four years. Just a
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: suggestion putting that out into the universe. That's how it
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: happens for me, though I put it out there and
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: in all of my trains and all of my learning
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: about success. Like I said, one of the most underpromoted
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: principles of success is the principle of gratitude. See gratitude man,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: It's it's a way of putting into the universe. And
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: I'll start by saying that, or if you're spiritual enough,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: it's a way of saying to your heavenly father, thank
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: you for these many blessings that I often take for granted.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: You know, the simple act of waking up every morning,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: do you understand that you do not have the ability
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: to wake yourself up in the morning. I'm sorry you don't.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: You can set your alarm clock, but a lot of
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: people don't answer to Bill when your alarm goes off.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: God shakes you, wakes you up in a life allows
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: you to hear the alarm. To say thank you for
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: that alone is a very simple thing to do. But
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: how many times do we forget? How many times do
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: we forget that? How often do we forget that breathing
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: is not a given? You can ask people who have asthma.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: They will tell you in a heartbeat the significance and
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: the importance of breathing, man, because they, from time to
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: time can lose get shortness of breath. And it's a
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: frightening thing. Man. I've had two children with asthma. I
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: used to suffer from bron kill asthma. It's it's it's
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: it's a crippling thing. So those people are grateful for
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: things as simple as breathing. People take walking for granted,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: But talk to somebody who came or whish they could.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: And I'm telling you, when you are thankful, when you
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: offer up your gratitude to God, what he does is
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: it causes him to go ahead and allow you to
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: have more things to be grateful for. I am telling you, man,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: it is the lack of gratitude that stops most people
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: from getting to the next level. I'll give you an example.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Let's say you have a job that you really don't
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: care for. Let's just use this as an example, and
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: you have to get up and you have to go
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: to that job every day. Now, and what you're doing
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: is you complain about the job. Man, I can't stand working.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: I'm so sick of this job. Jobs get on my nerve.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: This job makes me sick. Well, now, guess what. Let
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: me ask you a simple question. Why would God give
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: you another job that you might complain about two So
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: guess what. Let's just leave you where you are and
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: just let you just be right here, because if I
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: give you another job, you ain't gonna be grateful for
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: that one either. But listen, even though you don't like
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: the job, you don't have a good enough sense to
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: be grateful that you're working. You don't think it would
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: be a smart move to say, hey, God, listen, I'm
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: not where I want to be, but I should appreciate
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: where I am. Thank you for this opportunity to pay
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: my rent, to make my house notes, to pay my bills.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: I'm grateful for that now, Heavenly Father. I wish I
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: had a job I like. I would love for you
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: to send a job that I love my way, but
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: I am also grateful for the fact that I'm working.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I'm telling you you'll get a new job, but if
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: you never thank him for the one you have, and
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: you show a lack of gratitude for what that job,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: you may not like the job. Let's just think about
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: what it does. Though. It does keep a roof over
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: your head, it does keep you moving, it does keep
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: the basics covered, and you're eating every day, but you're
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: not grateful for that because you're so busy complaining about
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: it that you never thank him for it, and you,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: in turn prohibit more blessings from coming your way. I'm
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: telling y'all this is how it works. If a person
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: came by your house to borrow a cup of sugar
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: every day and took the sugar and never said thank you,
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: how many days could he come back to your house
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: and ask you for sugar without you saying, holder, man,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: you come by here every day, get a cup of sugar.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: You ain't gonna say thank you nowtime. I'll tell you what.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: Don't come with this your last couple of sugar. Now,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: that's what people do to you. Suppose God did that
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: to you. Do you imagine the trouble you will be
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: so on what they are calling National Gratitude Day. Don't
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: wait on the government to give you National Gratitude Day.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: You better wake up with it every day. Thank God
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: for everything he's done for you. Now that don't stop
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: you from asking him for more, but at least it
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: sends the message to him that you're grateful for what
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: he's done for you, and that will cause him to
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: do more things for you to be grateful for. It's
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: a simple principle that's oftentimes overlooked. Stop overlooking gratitude, be grateful,
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: and watch God open up the windows of heaven to
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: pour out a blessing that you won't have room enough
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: to receive. Steve Harve isn't living witness to that, y'all?
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: Let the church amen, Amen, have a great day, y'all
