- 0:12Speaker 1: back down, giving them like amazing buck bus things and
- 0:17Speaker 1: it's not doing me true good. Steve har listening to
- 0:25Speaker 1: mother for Steve, Please don't join join me. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turn very arm. You gotta turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. Got to turn out. Then turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water, y'all, come come on your bad I share well,
- 2:03Speaker 1: come mart and everybody you're listening to the voice, come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey, I
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show him just trying to give God
- 2:15Speaker 1: some back, just some back of what even gave me,
- 2:20Speaker 1: just a portion, you know. Just I'm just trying, man
- 2:23Speaker 1: to to show some type of gratitude for all his blessings.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm just trying to man, just just get it right sometimes,
- 2:36Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I mean, man, you just
- 2:37Speaker 1: can't do what you want to do and just live
- 2:39Speaker 1: wrong all the time. Man, you got it at one
- 2:42Speaker 1: point in time, Steve, come home. Man, come on, man,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you could do better. I know you can, you know
- 2:48Speaker 1: saying and you know what I had to do. I
- 2:50Speaker 1: had to stop saying I'm gonna try to do better,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and I just had to say, hey, man, I'm going
- 2:55Speaker 1: to do better. You know, trying it's just to put
- 2:59Speaker 1: forth an effort and if it don't work, well okay.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But if you make up in your mind that I'm
- 3:03Speaker 1: going to do something, then trying isn't enough. It's getting
- 3:08Speaker 1: it done is the only thing that matters. See, it's
- 3:10Speaker 1: the difference between doing and trying. We're gonna try to
- 3:13Speaker 1: win the game, or we're gonna go out here to
- 3:15Speaker 1: win the game. Now, trying to win the game means
- 3:18Speaker 1: that you could lose. But when you got in your
- 3:21Speaker 1: mind made up, most athletes will tell you that they
- 3:24Speaker 1: go out there with the full intent and purpose of
- 3:27Speaker 1: winning and winning only see they don't put the second
- 3:30Speaker 1: place finish on the cover Sports Illustrated. Second place don't
- 3:34Speaker 1: get you there. You got to win. And now take
- 3:38Speaker 1: it out of the scope of athletics, but keep it
- 3:40Speaker 1: in that type of type of analogy in life. Man,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you just want to you want to win in life,
- 3:45Speaker 1: don't you. I mean, at the end of the day,
- 3:47Speaker 1: don't you want to be on the cover of Sports
- 3:49Speaker 1: Illustrated the life? Don't you want to be recognized for
- 3:52Speaker 1: your hard work. Don't you want, you know, to be
- 3:56Speaker 1: recognized within the bonus structure down at your job. Don't
- 3:59Speaker 1: you to have your plaque up on the wall down
- 4:02Speaker 1: at your job. I mean most people do. Some people
- 4:04Speaker 1: could care less. Some people don't care about looking good
- 4:07Speaker 1: or being their best. And that's cool. But I ain't
- 4:09Speaker 1: talking to them though. I'm talking to you. I'm talking
- 4:12Speaker 1: to those of you who want to be the best
- 4:14Speaker 1: you can be. You know, people kill me when they're
- 4:17Speaker 1: getting mad at people there and he Brown knows and
- 4:20Speaker 1: he hall up on an employee of the moment man,
- 4:22Speaker 1: the dude doing his job to the best of his ability,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and he getting recognized for it. What they got to do?
- 4:27Speaker 1: It all that you're talking about because you ain't up there.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's amazing, man, how people describe other people's success. He's
- 4:33Speaker 1: so lucky, lucky? Hey man, don't they kind of get
- 4:37Speaker 1: you a little bit when people call you lucky when
- 4:39Speaker 1: let me tell you what luck really is, y'all. Luck
- 4:42Speaker 1: is when hard work bumps up into opportunity. Some people
- 4:46Speaker 1: call that luck. But hold on, let's let's think about this.
- 4:49Speaker 1: If you wasn't working hard, an opportunity presented itself. What
- 4:54Speaker 1: would you call that? But see, when you've been working hard,
- 4:57Speaker 1: an opportunity presents itself and it bumps up into each other.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Now people want to call that luck, But hold up here,
- 5:02Speaker 1: go to part though the day ain't paying no attention to. Yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 1: that opportunity came by, But if you had not been
- 5:07Speaker 1: working hard and the hard work had not ran up
- 5:10Speaker 1: in the opportunity, what would you have? No, sir, it's
- 5:12Speaker 1: not luck, it's work. It is work, because as a
- 5:16Speaker 1: scripture that says, faith without works is dead. But my
- 5:21Speaker 1: mama was a Sunday school teacher. She taught me enough.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Though Now I know different between right and wrong, just
- 5:26Speaker 1: like you do. You ain't gotta you know, it kills
- 5:29Speaker 1: me when people write a strawberry letter? Am I wrong
- 5:32Speaker 1: for this? You know? Gooding? Well, look at let's read
- 5:33Speaker 1: your letter? Are you wrong for this? You know you're wrong?
- 5:37Speaker 1: What you don't need? That's to be telling, you know?
- 5:38Speaker 1: But I'm gonna do this anyway. Well, see, go ahead, though,
- 5:41Speaker 1: do what you want to do. But you know what, y'all,
- 5:45Speaker 1: here's the best advice I can give you. This is
- 5:46Speaker 1: what I really came to talk about this morning. But
- 5:49Speaker 1: I got sidetrack because I listened get out of your
- 5:54Speaker 1: own way. So many of us are blocking our home.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Blessings were just in our own way. We are in
- 6:01Speaker 1: our own way. And one of the most dangerous ways
- 6:05Speaker 1: you can get in your way is to do it
- 6:08Speaker 1: your way, to get it figured your way, and to
- 6:12Speaker 1: lock in on your way and just the way it's
- 6:14Speaker 1: got to go. Do you know how many people are
- 6:17Speaker 1: blocking a blessing? Do you know how long I blocked
- 6:19Speaker 1: mine with that mindset? Right there? Look, because it's the
- 6:24Speaker 1: way you do it, Do you think that make it
- 6:26Speaker 1: the right way? You think jazz, because you'd have thought
- 6:29Speaker 1: on it long and hard, and that's what you really want.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Do you really think that your way is the right
- 6:33Speaker 1: way or could that be a better way? See? Until
- 6:36Speaker 1: I started listening to God and started paying attention to
- 6:40Speaker 1: his way, man, I was spending my wheels. Man, I
- 6:43Speaker 1: was out here so determined this how I was going
- 6:46Speaker 1: to do it. But you know, I had to learn
- 6:48Speaker 1: how to get out of my own way because just
- 6:50Speaker 1: because I could do it my way didn't mean it
- 6:53Speaker 1: was the right way. I had to get out of
- 6:56Speaker 1: my own way. Just get out your way, man, Now,
- 7:02Speaker 1: what what does that mean that means see set your goals.
- 7:08Speaker 1: That means have your dreams. That I'm saying, set your goals, man,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I ain't saying don't set goals. Listen to me. Set
- 7:16Speaker 1: your goals. What is it you want to happen? What
- 7:19Speaker 1: is it you like to have? What is it you
- 7:21Speaker 1: like to be? What are you aspire to? Set your
- 7:24Speaker 1: goals and set your dreams. Now take your goals and
- 7:28Speaker 1: your dreams to God and ask God to show you how. Man,
- 7:35Speaker 1: you can save yourself a lot of pain. Listen to
- 7:38Speaker 1: somebody who did it his way for so long. And
- 7:42Speaker 1: when I finally got out of my way, out of
- 7:44Speaker 1: my own way. When you've heard old people say, let
- 7:48Speaker 1: go and let God, you've heard them say that I didn't.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I didn't get it, but I got it. Now let
- 7:54Speaker 1: go and let God. And it's amazing little saying. Though
- 7:58Speaker 1: now you know you may not get it now. It
- 8:00Speaker 1: took me a bunch of years to get it too.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But when I took my goals and my dreams and
- 8:05Speaker 1: my vision to God and I said, God, this is
- 8:08Speaker 1: what I hope for, this is what I aspired to,
- 8:11Speaker 1: this is what I want to be, This is why
- 8:12Speaker 1: I would love to get to Then I said, help me,
- 8:17Speaker 1: show me how point me in the right direction. Let
- 8:20Speaker 1: me follow your footsteps, guide me and give me a
- 8:24Speaker 1: spirit of discernment. Show me who wrong? Because I meet
- 8:27Speaker 1: people every day. Ain't up to no good with me
- 8:29Speaker 1: every single day. Oh man, Man, I can't believe I
- 8:34Speaker 1: run up into you. Man, the Lord told me something's
- 8:36Speaker 1: gonna happen to me today. Well, see, I talked to
- 8:39Speaker 1: him every day. He did not mention you to me.
- 8:42Speaker 1: He ain't said nothing to me. He didn't tell me
- 8:44Speaker 1: what's gonna happen in mind. Now, I don't mean it
- 8:46Speaker 1: can't happen because I'm open to it. So really, man,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm and and please no, I'm listening it as well
- 8:53Speaker 1: as I've ever listened before. But but get yourself together, though,
- 8:58Speaker 1: see no, your goals and your dream and then let
- 9:00Speaker 1: God show you how to do it. He'll do it.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You know. It's so important everybody, that you get focused,
- 9:07Speaker 1: that you aim for something, that you dream of something,
- 9:10Speaker 1: that you aspire to something. But it's the most the
- 9:13Speaker 1: best thing you can do. After you do all that, Man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: get God involved in it. Man, talk to him. I mean,
- 9:19Speaker 1: why would you not what you got to lose. You
- 9:21Speaker 1: ain't got to go down there and make no big
- 9:23Speaker 1: scene and run laps around the church and run up
- 9:26Speaker 1: there and throw yourself on the altar and scream and
- 9:29Speaker 1: flip over and throw money in the air. You ain't
- 9:31Speaker 1: got to do that. This you and God, man, This
- 9:33Speaker 1: you and God. You know you got to serve and
- 9:36Speaker 1: praise him the way you do it. You gotta let
- 9:38Speaker 1: nobody else tell you highs done. It's a personal relationship.
- 9:41Speaker 1: People kill me if you don't do it this way.
- 9:43Speaker 1: If you don't come here to this church and you
- 9:45Speaker 1: don't run around in this circle, and you don't get
- 9:46Speaker 1: flipped in and you don't, hey, man, you better go
- 9:49Speaker 1: have a relationship with God. See what that's about. You understand?
- 9:52Speaker 1: Nobody throw you off with all that? All right, all right,
- 9:54Speaker 1: y'all talk to him. He loved to hear from you. Today.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening show ladies and gentlemen, Steve Harvey Morty, show
- 10:04Speaker 1: us living and effect. Try Jesus, not me, because I
- 10:10Speaker 1: throw hands. Try Jesus. Please don't try me because I fight.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, special guest person who really wrote this song?
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's about to come on and do it the way
- 10:29Speaker 1: he originally wrote it, Ladies and gentlemen, the writer, or
- 10:33Speaker 1: try Jesus, Roscoe Waller, try no, No, try me ignorant
- 10:44Speaker 1: because I lays him up. Whoa, try Jesus. Please don't
- 10:52Speaker 1: try me because I bust them up. I maybe nah
- 11:03Speaker 1: that good of Christian? Yeah, because I throw hands. Yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 1: so come on, try Jesus. Oh but don't try me.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Don't do it because I because I don't want no body.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Roscoe stepping in my way. Better get away from me.

- 11:40Speaker 1: throw hand, I swan to God. I do shot for people.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Before I was thirty two, been the prison, got back out.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Now I'm free. Told you to try Jesus, but don't
- 12:02Speaker 1: come over here messing with me, Roscoe. Don't play that, Roscoe.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Don't play fan. All I know is everything I got
- 12:14Speaker 1: gonna be up in the air. I kick, I spit
- 12:20Speaker 1: though hands, I poke out eyes, a bust opened lips,
- 12:24Speaker 1: Italian nostrils. Do waterever try Jesus. Come on, Roscoe, but
- 12:32Speaker 1: do you better don't cry? I sit do don't ride Roscoe?
- 13:01Speaker 1: Right now, that was the real you gotta let him
- 13:06Speaker 1: hear the else from Roscoe. Well, I let him here.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Then I told him do it. He gonna put your
- 13:11Speaker 1: church version on. I gave between a raw yeah, you know,
- 13:15Speaker 1: told me Toby didn't want to do because I know
- 13:17Speaker 1: it fathered. You know, well, Roscoe, we think that one
- 13:31Speaker 1: Roscoe did that. I know that. Don't go right? Thank you?
- 13:36Speaker 1: All right? Coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:38Speaker 1: asked the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the
- 13:42Speaker 1: building right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 13:47Speaker 1: All right, guys, it's time now for I asked the CLO.
- 13:50Speaker 1: You ready, CLO, Yes, I am here we go, Chief
- 13:53Speaker 1: Love Officer Steve Harvey. This one is from Claudia and Raleigh,
- 13:57Speaker 1: North Carolina. She says, I'm a thirty three year old
- 14:01Speaker 1: woman who's dating a thirty eight year old man, and
- 14:03Speaker 1: I have some concerns. He lives at home with his
- 14:06Speaker 1: mother so he can get out of debt. He sleeps
- 14:09Speaker 1: in her bed every night because she has breathing problems.
- 14:13Speaker 1: It's been an issue for the past two years. Yeah, okay,
- 14:18Speaker 1: COVID question, Okay, all right. This is from Claudia. She says,
- 14:26Speaker 1: I'm a thirty three year old woman who's dating a
- 14:28Speaker 1: thirty eight year old man. She does have some concern,
- 14:31Speaker 1: she says. The man lives at home with his mom
- 14:34Speaker 1: so he can get out of debt. He sleeps in
- 14:37Speaker 1: her bed every night because she has breathing problems. It's
- 14:41Speaker 1: been an issue for the past two years. And he
- 14:43Speaker 1: promised me he was moving in with me a year ago.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Instead he brought he bought a brand new twenty twenty car,
- 14:51Speaker 1: and his priorities are mixed up. And I just found
- 14:53Speaker 1: out I'm having a baby. He's also broke, so I
- 14:57Speaker 1: think I'd be better off raising my baby alone. Should
- 15:00Speaker 1: I cut him off now or keep hoping he'll get
- 15:02Speaker 1: his life together? There's so many things. He live at
- 15:06Speaker 1: home with his mama to get out of debt, to
- 15:10Speaker 1: get out of debt. He sleep in the same bed
- 15:15Speaker 1: as his mama because she got breathing problems. Thirty eight.
- 15:23Speaker 1: We can stop talking to me right after you tell
- 15:27Speaker 1: me you sleep with your mama because she got breathing problems.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Why are you in the bed? Ain't she still got
- 15:35Speaker 1: the breathing problem? Yeah? I mean that's very odd. To
- 15:42Speaker 1: come on, help me out. Call I'm open. Somebody in
- 15:46Speaker 1: the bedroom he's in bed with his mom. Ain't nobody
- 15:52Speaker 1: got no room in their bedroom for two damn beds. Yeah,
- 15:57Speaker 1: this is odd for thirty thirty eight year old man
- 15:59Speaker 1: though to sleep in the room. So maybe in case
- 16:02Speaker 1: something happens in the middle of the night, stop right there,
- 16:05Speaker 1: you know what he go? He stops. There's nothing he
- 16:09Speaker 1: can do. Yeah, maybe she needs to change something on
- 16:13Speaker 1: a breathing machine or I don't know. If they make
- 16:17Speaker 1: love in his mama bed, I bet she'd get the
- 16:18Speaker 1: breathing right. I bet, I bet you should get the
- 16:25Speaker 1: breathing right. Tommy, do you think a man that sleeps
- 16:27Speaker 1: in the bed with his mom will make love to
- 16:30Speaker 1: another woman in the bed with if you want to?
- 16:34Speaker 1: First of all, Shirley, I don't know a grown ass
- 16:38Speaker 1: man who sleeps with his mama. I don't. I've never
- 16:43Speaker 1: heard of this guy. Now, I'll be honest. I'll be honest.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Before I got married, when I used to go home
- 16:50Speaker 1: and see my mom, i'd sleep in the bed with
- 16:52Speaker 1: my mom. I would oh women keeping Yeah, man, don't, man,
- 16:57Speaker 1: my daughter's sleeping the bed with their mama all the time.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I got that. I ain't ever crawled up in the
- 17:03Speaker 1: bed next to my daddy. I can tell you right now,
- 17:09Speaker 1: Snick Harvey would have it boy, you all right? Yeah,
- 17:16Speaker 1: those are standards that we talk about a lot on
- 17:18Speaker 1: this show. You know, things that women can do that
- 17:20Speaker 1: man men can't. And I can't. I can't sleep. Women can't.
- 17:24Speaker 1: You know. Women can be walking in the mall and
- 17:26Speaker 1: lock arm in arms talking to each other. Yeah, we
- 17:29Speaker 1: danced together all there. Hey, dog, if I'm walking in
- 17:33Speaker 1: the mall with my dude and he hooked my mom,
- 17:37Speaker 1: and I'm not gonna dance with you though, that's not happen.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So he's staying with his mom because of dad. But
- 17:44Speaker 1: he bought a brand new car, that's what she's saying.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And now she's pregnant, so she wants more. Dad a crush.
- 17:51Speaker 1: She wants to know should she cut him off now
- 17:53Speaker 1: or keep hoping he'll get himself together. Well, here's what
- 17:57Speaker 1: I think gonna have them what Oh, y'all gonna be
- 18:01Speaker 1: in there with his mama. Yeah, she can't cut him
- 18:08Speaker 1: off because daddy, you're back to sleep in here. I'll
- 18:12Speaker 1: keep telling y'all, tell that baby be quiet, because mamma
- 18:15Speaker 1: got breathe a problem. Gonna keep waking her up gonna
- 18:18Speaker 1: scare her. Now that's major. Yeah, that is major. Yeah, No,
- 18:23Speaker 1: all right, Clo Franklin and Ohio says, I'm a forty
- 18:26Speaker 1: four year old married man and my wife is not
- 18:28Speaker 1: happy with me. I've gained fifteen pounds since the pandemic,
- 18:33Speaker 1: so every day my wife is monitoring what I eat,
- 18:36Speaker 1: and she's taken all of the snacks out of the house.
- 18:39Speaker 1: She told me she will not have sex with me
- 18:41Speaker 1: until I get in shape. I have high blood pressure,
- 18:45Speaker 1: and she says she's worried about my health. I've told
- 18:47Speaker 1: her that nagging me is not the way to do it.
- 18:50Speaker 1: How can I get her to mind her business and
- 18:52Speaker 1: let me lose weight on my own? Hey, don't, don't
- 18:56Speaker 1: you are her business. The woman love you, She trying
- 19:01Speaker 1: to help you, She trying to motivate you. You're not
- 19:04Speaker 1: gonna lose it on your own. You're fat, asked and
- 19:06Speaker 1: set up that dog. You was already big, photed pandemic.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Now you didn't added fifteen she didn't took all the
- 19:13Speaker 1: snacks out to damn house. Now you're so damn mad.
- 19:17Speaker 1: You don't wrote a letter into us A pounds during that.
- 19:23Speaker 1: They say, the average person doing the pandemic has picked
- 19:25Speaker 1: up sixteen pounds. That yeah, yeah, yeah. Study came out
- 19:30Speaker 1: say the average person doing the pandemic has picked up
- 19:32Speaker 1: sixteen pounds. So what you did is what everybody else did.
- 19:35Speaker 1: The problem was you was already big dog. Now the
- 19:39Speaker 1: sixteen mold. It's just that's the straw that broke the
- 19:42Speaker 1: camel's back. Your wife is concerned and she wants you
- 19:47Speaker 1: to get healthy, and you have hot blood pressure. Brother,
- 19:50Speaker 1: you got to lose weight. You got to scoop from
- 19:53Speaker 1: you got you gotta burn more calories than you're taking in.
- 19:57Speaker 1: That's all. It's no trick to this. You have to
- 20:01Speaker 1: burn morning you're putting in. You're probably sitting up there
- 20:04Speaker 1: with Joe big as. You probably even buy seven eight
- 20:05Speaker 1: thousand calories a day. All you're doing is walking back
- 20:11Speaker 1: and forth to the refrigerating the bathroom. It ain't enough
- 20:14Speaker 1: happening in the bathroom. Whoa wow, it just got real,
- 20:20Speaker 1: didn't it. So he's not regular either. No, I'm trying
- 20:26Speaker 1: to hurt him so he would go use lose weight. Okay, yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 1: I'm not your wife, so I'm trying to hurt you.
- 20:33Speaker 1: All right, Well, thank you, Cielo. As always well, coming
- 20:37Speaker 1: coming up next, it is the Nephew with today's prank
- 20:41Speaker 1: and run that prank back right after this you're listening
- 20:45Speaker 1: to show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 20:49Speaker 1: Miss Anna standing by with today's national news and then
- 20:52Speaker 1: trending sports news headlines. Lebron James. So the NBA is
- 20:57Speaker 1: not sad, They're they're good. They'll be losing President Trump
- 21:01Speaker 1: as a viewer. They're they're okay. I think they're gonna
- 21:03Speaker 1: make it, he says, But right now, we'll talk about
- 21:07Speaker 1: that at the top of the hour. Of course, right
- 21:08Speaker 1: now the Nephew is here, would run that brank back?
- 21:10Speaker 1: What you got for us now? My bones is weak.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I know it's supposed to be all week. It should
- 21:19Speaker 1: be my bones all week, but we are not working
- 21:22Speaker 1: on English today. That is not the situation we're in.
- 21:27Speaker 1: My bones is weak, but I can't say r though
- 21:32Speaker 1: what I mean. I can save my bones all week,
- 21:36Speaker 1: but then it will not have the same intensity. My
- 21:40Speaker 1: bones is weak. You is crazy? How about that? Let's
- 21:50Speaker 1: go cat down. Hello, I'm trying to uh, I'm trying

- 23:28Speaker 1: be able to get back on my feet. You know
- 23:29Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's all right. Hey man, I just
- 23:32Speaker 1: you know, congratulations again man. You know a beautiful baby girl.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I man, that's a beautiful thing. Yeah, thank you, thank you. Um,
- 23:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry, man, her, I just I can't totally. I'm
- 23:45Speaker 1: trying to remember you and trying to place you in

- 24:00Speaker 1: you know, my wife knows Kendrew and they hang out
- 24:01Speaker 1: and uh, I guess she's she's dabbled a couple of
- 24:04Speaker 1: times and been around. You know, your wife is your
- 24:07Speaker 1: wife is Maryland? Right, Yeah, that's no wife. Okay, Yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 1: I guess she's been been in the presence of Maryland. Man.
- 24:14Speaker 1: So you know, you know, I kind of got your
- 24:17Speaker 1: number from uh, from my wife, Manum, and she got

- 24:34Speaker 1: came from doctor yesterday and and my my bones, man,
- 24:40Speaker 1: they my bones are deteriorating. You know, That's that's kind
- 24:44Speaker 1: of what I'm what I've been going through, man Um.
- 24:47Speaker 1: If I don't get the proper medication that I need, man,
- 24:52Speaker 1: then week you know, it within the next three months
- 24:55Speaker 1: here though, it could it could get pretty bad. You
- 24:59Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Well, Man, I'm sorry to hear that,
- 25:03Speaker 1: bro Um. It's you know, all I can do is
- 25:06Speaker 1: pray you man, And you know, well, man, I the
- 25:12Speaker 1: doctor told me that it's bron The doctor told me

- 25:23Speaker 1: that you know, I could get back up to seventy
- 25:26Speaker 1: five healthy again. You know what I'm saying. So you know,
- 25:31Speaker 1: it's just a rare type of thing that I need
- 25:34Speaker 1: to try and get. And I think that you might
- 25:38Speaker 1: be I think you can't help me. Be strong, man,
- 25:41Speaker 1: be strong, just man, see down, man strong. It's gonna
- 25:46Speaker 1: be all right. But I see it's gonna be all right.
- 25:48Speaker 1: God is with you. I pray for you. I do
- 25:51Speaker 1: all I can. You know, I don't know well actually actually,
- 25:55Speaker 1: uh the doctor told me, man that it for six months,
- 26:00Speaker 1: if I drunk breast milk, it will it would it
- 26:03Speaker 1: would put enough calseum and stuff back into my bones
- 26:07Speaker 1: that would get me back up to seventy to eighty
- 26:09Speaker 1: five percent healthy. Yeah, I ain't got no breast. But
- 26:15Speaker 1: you know it's not it's not you wrong. You you
- 26:18Speaker 1: don't you know, but you know your your wife does thought. Whoa,
- 26:24Speaker 1: you're talking about my wife's breast man. I'm not not
- 26:28Speaker 1: directly man, I'm just saying that chickens, you know. I mean,
- 26:32Speaker 1: if I had her breast milk for like six months straight, man,
- 26:36Speaker 1: I could get back hold again. Man. Oh, you'll talk
- 26:39Speaker 1: about a man's wife or her breast. Now, I gotta,
- 26:42Speaker 1: I just gotta. I'm just just all. I'm for my
- 26:46Speaker 1: wife breast milk. Man. Man, I'm just asking y'all to
- 26:49Speaker 1: share it for six breast milk with you. Man. You
- 26:53Speaker 1: got the wrong one, man, the wrong one, and you
- 26:57Speaker 1: said your name was is wrong Man, It is wrong. Wrong. No,
- 27:04Speaker 1: we're just talking about six months of breast smelk man,
- 27:07Speaker 1: six months more wife press milk. We were talking about
- 27:10Speaker 1: just no best numbering. I understand if press no. Man,
- 27:13Speaker 1: I understand that. Man. But we're talking about you saving
- 27:16Speaker 1: a life, man, A life I ain't the one. Okay,
- 27:20Speaker 1: let me ask you this. One of y'all would have
- 27:21Speaker 1: had twins. Man, y'all would have been printed in two babies.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Just look at it as if we're twins. The man,
- 27:28Speaker 1: I'm getting them up this phone because I don't know
- 27:30Speaker 1: who you are. You need to chill, man, you need
- 27:33Speaker 1: to go get on your knees, trade that your bones
- 27:36Speaker 1: get healed or whatever. You got the wrong number. Man, Listen, Man,
- 27:41Speaker 1: all I'm saying is I got one more thing I
- 27:43Speaker 1: want to say and then I get on. I just
- 27:45Speaker 1: want to get off the phone. Called Kendra and find out.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Why give you my number? Because that's how you got
- 27:51Speaker 1: Can I say one more saying? Man, go ahead, go ahead?
- 27:54Speaker 1: Can I say it? Damn man? This is nephew taught
- 27:57Speaker 1: me from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Kendra and your
- 28:01Speaker 1: wife Maryland got me to prank phone call you Hello,
- 28:08Speaker 1: ro Ron. Yeah, Man, y'all are good? Man? Whoa man?
- 28:15Speaker 1: A white man? Man? Did I get you? Man? Yeah,
- 28:20Speaker 1: y'all got it? Man? Y'all having me? Ay? And I
- 28:24Speaker 1: got them too? They don't start it? Something Hey, one
- 28:28Speaker 1: more thing. What's the baddest radio station in the land? Man? Man?
- 28:32Speaker 1: It is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Man? Wow? Man?
- 28:39Speaker 1: All right, thank you, nephew. That is crazy coming up.
- 28:43Speaker 1: You are the king of pranks. You are coming up
- 28:45Speaker 1: of prank Up the Hour, some entertainment and national news
- 28:49Speaker 1: with miss an Trip right after this you're listening show.
- 28:56Speaker 1: According to the Black Information Network, President Trump said he
- 29:00Speaker 1: turns away when he sees players kneel during the national anthem.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Lebron James responded to the President's criticism and said the
- 29:07Speaker 1: NBA is not sad about losing his his viewership. Take
- 29:10Speaker 1: a listen and only love the way we play the game.
- 29:14Speaker 1: We try to give it back to them with our
- 29:15Speaker 1: commitment to the game, but also respect um. You know
- 29:19Speaker 1: what else we try to bring to the game and
- 29:20Speaker 1: acknowledging you know what's right and what's wrong you know,
- 29:24Speaker 1: and UM, and I hope everyone UM, you know, no
- 29:27Speaker 1: matter the race, no matter the color, no matter of
- 29:29Speaker 1: the size. Uh see what what what leadership that we
- 29:33Speaker 1: have and at the top of our country and understand
- 29:37Speaker 1: that November, UM is right around the corner. And it's
- 29:40Speaker 1: and it's a big moment for us as Americans. UM.
- 29:43Speaker 1: If UM, we continue to talk about we want you
- 29:46Speaker 1: know better, won't change. Uh. We have an opportunity to
- 29:50Speaker 1: do that. So but the game is UM, the game
- 29:54Speaker 1: will will will go on without without his eyes on it.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I can sit here and speak for all of us
- 30:01Speaker 1: that love the m of basketball. We could care less.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Are we clear? Are we clear? We can? I add
- 30:14Speaker 1: one thing to that, of course, Cleveland, they could care
- 30:19Speaker 1: less than the players and the coaches have said it
- 30:25Speaker 1: over and over and Steve, You've said it over and
- 30:28Speaker 1: over on this show. They are not protesting the national
- 30:31Speaker 1: anthem or the military. Okay, they are protesting police brutality
- 30:36Speaker 1: and social injustice. And they draw attention by doing it,
- 30:41Speaker 1: doing this particular moment where all eyes are on them,
- 30:45Speaker 1: to make people be conscious of what's going on. I
- 30:48Speaker 1: think it's absolutely brilliant. Yeah yeah. I didn't have a
- 30:53Speaker 1: problem when Colin Kaepernick first did it, but after they
- 30:57Speaker 1: changed the narrative, I was okay with the this is
- 31:00Speaker 1: getting up because they have flipped the script in the
- 31:02Speaker 1: narrative this time. Even JJ Watts for the Houston Texan said,
- 31:08Speaker 1: you have got to be blind or just not paying
- 31:12Speaker 1: attention if you think this is against the military or
- 31:16Speaker 1: the flag. You're not listening at all. I don't want
- 31:19Speaker 1: to hear it. Yeah, right, you're trying to listening, man,
- 31:24Speaker 1: And that right there when he said that, I said, man,
- 31:26Speaker 1: that that brother got a grip on it, and so
- 31:29Speaker 1: stop this man even drew brees and statements that he's
- 31:32Speaker 1: making about it. You know, it's pretty good idea. People, man, People,
- 31:38Speaker 1: you can't look man. You got to try to understand
- 31:42Speaker 1: the other side. It ain't just your side, right right.
- 31:47Speaker 1: There are eighty eight days left until November third. These
- 31:51Speaker 1: days are counting down registered to vote at when we
- 31:53Speaker 1: all vote dot org. And finally, in Entertainment News, there's
- 31:57Speaker 1: good news and bad news for Bruno Mars fan. Judging
- 32:00Speaker 1: by a new tweet, Bruno seems to be working on
- 32:03Speaker 1: some new music, so that's good news. Unfortunately, it doesn't
- 32:07Speaker 1: sound like he's having much luck because he seems to
- 32:10Speaker 1: be regretting his choice of career. Bruno tweeted, sometimes I
- 32:14Speaker 1: get so frustrated writing music. I look in the mirror
- 32:18Speaker 1: and say I should have been a model. Model. Yeah,
- 32:29Speaker 1: so I gotta ask you, guys, have you ever been frustrated,
- 32:33Speaker 1: you know, with your career choice and thought you should
- 32:36Speaker 1: change it? Have you ever said those words I should
- 32:38Speaker 1: have been a model? Absolutely? I know I could have
- 32:41Speaker 1: been a model. I mean, oh, look at the time
- 32:49Speaker 1: I told the way. When we come back, we'll discussed
- 32:51Speaker 1: this modeling thing, all right. Right now, it's time for
- 32:55Speaker 1: today's headline, Steve, Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Trump Ncanes,
- 33:00Speaker 1: thank you guys. Okay, well I could have been a model.
- 33:02Speaker 1: For next This is anthrop with the news. Okay, I
- 33:05Speaker 1: gotta laugh because you know what, as if the coronavirus
- 33:08Speaker 1: and job losses and Hurricane Eastis wasn't enough, Now the
- 33:13Speaker 1: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting a record hurricane
- 33:17Speaker 1: season record as in bad and hurricane forecast as Jerry
- 33:21Speaker 1: Bell Live as the bad news. Oceanic and atmospheric conditions
- 33:24Speaker 1: now indicate a higher likelihood an eighty five percent chance
- 33:28Speaker 1: of an above normal season. Do we need this? No
- 33:32Speaker 1: Bell says that there's a potential for as many as
- 33:34Speaker 1: twenty five storms this hurricane season. That's the first time
- 33:38Speaker 1: that Noah's predicted so many, and Bell says that between
- 33:41Speaker 1: three and six of them could become really major. They
- 33:43Speaker 1: have already been nine name storms so far this hurricane season,
- 33:47Speaker 1: the earliest on record. Democrats Republicans still trying to work
- 33:51Speaker 1: out a deal on a new pandemic relief package. At
- 33:53Speaker 1: one point sent a minarity leader Chuck Schumer and how
- 33:56Speaker 1: Speaker Nancy Pelosi seemed optimistic, but Schumer now seems frustrated
- 34:00Speaker 1: and Pelosi scared. The reason our negotiations with the White
- 34:04Speaker 1: House have been so arduous is they just don't see
- 34:08Speaker 1: the needs out there and they don't want to do
- 34:11Speaker 1: anything about them. They want to get away with as
- 34:13Speaker 1: little as possible. But we have to move quickly, more
- 34:17Speaker 1: quickly because the light at that end of the tunnel
- 34:20Speaker 1: may be the straight train of the virus coming at
- 34:23Speaker 1: us if we do not act to contain it. White
- 34:27Speaker 1: House Chief of Staff Mark Meadow says that President Trump
- 34:29Speaker 1: will take some sort of executive action if the Congress
- 34:32Speaker 1: cannot reach a deal. By the way, both Twitter and
- 34:35Speaker 1: Facebook have removed a video shared by President Trump because
- 34:38Speaker 1: they say it violates the rules about spreading misinformation. The
- 34:42Speaker 1: video shows the President telling Fox News that children are
- 34:45Speaker 1: virtually immune from the Corona virus. Okay, it looks like
- 34:49Speaker 1: we spoke too soon. Kanye West is just qualified to
- 34:51Speaker 1: be on the ballot in Colorado. The New York Times
- 34:54Speaker 1: says some Republican operatives have been working to get him
- 34:56Speaker 1: in as many state ballots as possible, with the apparent
- 34:59Speaker 1: expectation of stipening votes from Joe Biden. Memorial services were
- 35:03Speaker 1: held yesterday in Hiroshima, Japan, and memory of the atomic
- 35:07Speaker 1: bombing there. Seventy five years ago, the US dropped an
- 35:09Speaker 1: atomic bomb on Hiroshima, killing some eighty thousand people, leveling
- 35:13Speaker 1: the island. Days later, the US deninated another nuclear bomb,
- 35:17Speaker 1: this one on the island of Nagasaki, prompting Japan to
- 35:20Speaker 1: surrender in World War Two. It was the first and
- 35:22Speaker 1: only time that a country ever dropped an atomic bomb
- 35:25Speaker 1: on another one. Yesterday's commemoration leaders called in Japan and
- 35:29Speaker 1: other nations to do more to ban nuclear weapons. Finally,
- 35:31Speaker 1: a British couple won the legal right to name their
- 35:33Speaker 1: son Lucifer after a government official tried to stop him.
- 35:36Speaker 1: In the end, they won the fight to do it.
- 35:38Speaker 1: I guess you can say it was one hell of
- 35:40Speaker 1: a fight. I don't know, Johnny Lucifer Williams. Okay, Now
- 35:46Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show. So, Steve,
- 35:52Speaker 1: before we went to the news and everything I told
- 35:56Speaker 1: you about Bruno Maher saying that he gets frustrated writing
- 35:59Speaker 1: music and sometimes he looks in the mirror and says
- 36:02Speaker 1: he should have been a model. And then I asked you, guys,
- 36:04Speaker 1: if you've ever said that to yourself, Tommy saying he
- 36:07Speaker 1: could have been a model? Uh huh, with no hesitation? Yeah,
- 36:12Speaker 1: why would I hesitate on that? Why am I supposed
- 36:15Speaker 1: to pause for very confident in which definitely I always
- 36:22Speaker 1: knew he could have been a model. He just didn't
- 36:24Speaker 1: want to do what I had suggestions. So you agree, absolutely,
- 36:29Speaker 1: set tell you stop saying you sexy, because we've had
- 36:35Speaker 1: this discussion before. Then you could have been a model,
- 36:39Speaker 1: because when they was looking for models and I had
- 36:42Speaker 1: you go down there, you I ain't want to stand
- 36:44Speaker 1: like an open call or something. Right, it was down
- 36:49Speaker 1: it was doing these commercials Baby Gap for Gosh jeans,
- 36:53Speaker 1: and then he was done at Baby Gap and I
- 36:56Speaker 1: had I haven't begin, you know, the lady said the
- 37:00Speaker 1: lay I told him to smile. The lady said, he
- 37:03Speaker 1: looked a little old, Sir. I said, hey, don't where
- 37:06Speaker 1: about that. But he gonna do these lines better than
- 37:09Speaker 1: these little kids y'all got. And you know I had him.
- 37:13Speaker 1: He was there. I ain't gonna be no Baby Gap.
- 37:19Speaker 1: You can't. You can't model at the regular gap. Here
- 37:24Speaker 1: we are, right. They had this picture and everything. They
- 37:27Speaker 1: just said, mister Harvey, he just looks a little old,
- 37:30Speaker 1: I said, but he gonna get these lines. Stand him
- 37:33Speaker 1: over there with the rest of the kids. He got him.
- 37:35Speaker 1: He gonna nailed it. And the boy can act and
- 37:40Speaker 1: let me even twenty six. Then that's when ours cost
- 37:47Speaker 1: was hot. You blew it, Tommy, you had it. Oh
- 37:54Speaker 1: my god. Okay, I've never like I could have been
- 38:01Speaker 1: anything else. Clearly you say that, What the hell else
- 38:06Speaker 1: could I have being you're tall? You're tall. You like
- 38:12Speaker 1: to play basketball. We're an athlete back in the day.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Hell yeah, but not make money. I can shoot, but
- 38:22Speaker 1: if you're too tall, you can block it. So okay.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Hell ninety nine point nine one hundred percent of everybody
- 38:34Speaker 1: in the in the w NBA can can kick my head.
- 38:41Speaker 1: And those girls are bad baby girls. Hey man, let
- 38:47Speaker 1: me tell you something. If you think you're gonna go
- 38:49Speaker 1: over there and just do what you want to do
- 38:50Speaker 1: to them girls, you got some cries coming. Partner you
- 38:53Speaker 1: not partner up. You got a real surprise coming. Yes, right,
- 38:59Speaker 1: we're gonna we're gonna move on. Since all that's cleared
- 39:02Speaker 1: up now, Joe Biden will win the presidential election coming
- 39:07Speaker 1: up in November. Someone has predicted it, and we'll tell
- 39:11Speaker 1: you who the thirty four minutes after the hour right
- 39:14Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to, Well, guys an American university
- 39:21Speaker 1: professor and political historian. His name is Alan Lichtman. He's
- 39:26Speaker 1: predicted the winner of every presidential election since nineteen eighty four.
- 39:32Speaker 1: His name is Alan Lichtman. He's a political historian. He's
- 39:35Speaker 1: an American university professor. Okay, every election he's gotten right
- 39:40Speaker 1: since nineteen eighty four. He's predicted that Joe Biden will
- 39:44Speaker 1: beat Donald Trump in the twenty twenty election come November third.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Please we hope you're right. This is not the time
- 39:53Speaker 1: to miss up. Also, speaking of President Trump, um while
- 40:00Speaker 1: in Ohio yesterday, the President had a baseless claim another
- 40:04Speaker 1: one that Joe Biden wants to hurt God. Work. Listen.
- 40:11Speaker 1: He's going to do things that nobody ever would ever
- 40:14Speaker 1: think even possible because he's following the radical left agenda.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Take away your guns, destroy your Second Amendment, no religion,
- 40:25Speaker 1: no anything, hurt the Bible, hurt God. He's against God.
- 40:30Speaker 1: He's against guns. Wait a minute. Listen to me. Always
- 40:46Speaker 1: remember this, and Bishop Kenneth olm Olmer taught this to me.
- 40:50Speaker 1: When someone someone is talking about God, remember that God's
- 40:56Speaker 1: voice has no sin in it. They're gonna take away
- 41:01Speaker 1: our guns. God don't even want you to have guns.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Thou shalt not kill is a commandment. We created guns.
- 41:16Speaker 1: When you hear a man talking like this, he's against religion,
- 41:20Speaker 1: he's gonna hurt God. Take away your guns. Wait a minute, man,
- 41:27Speaker 1: you don't even know how to hold a Bible right
- 41:29Speaker 1: side up. There's not a single picture in the history
- 41:37Speaker 1: of Donald Trump coming out of a church except at
- 41:42Speaker 1: Bush's funeral. There's no photos of him at a church service.
- 41:49Speaker 1: And this man got the nerve to turn around and
- 41:52Speaker 1: say that Joe Biden is against God. Wait a minute, man, y'all, y'all, listen, man,
- 42:01Speaker 1: y'all this dude, Hey man, that's a sick statement to make.
- 42:08Speaker 1: That's a sick statement to make. You'll, really, is your
- 42:13Speaker 1: base that load of a group of people that they
- 42:16Speaker 1: will allow you to say this. I don't believe the
- 42:20Speaker 1: basis that load, but for you to say that, it's
- 42:24Speaker 1: because you know that there's a group of people who
- 42:27Speaker 1: will listen to that type of rhetoric. Hey, y'all, we
- 42:30Speaker 1: got to get to the polls. Enough of this. Enough
- 42:33Speaker 1: is enough. Here's a man who just described himself. That's
- 42:38Speaker 1: exactly what did it just and it proves that he's
- 42:41Speaker 1: a fighter. He's going to try and do whatever it
- 42:45Speaker 1: takes to win this election. I don't care how many
- 42:48Speaker 1: lives I have to tell, whatever I have to do.
- 42:51Speaker 1: That's what's in his mind. That's what's in his brain.
- 42:54Speaker 1: We have to get Yeah, he's gonna fight. He's he's
- 42:57Speaker 1: a fighter. He's a scrapper, he is. He wants this
- 43:00Speaker 1: election more than he wants the first one. I believe
- 43:04Speaker 1: so too. We have to do our parts. Yeah, we
- 43:07Speaker 1: have to get out and vote. That's the only way
- 43:09Speaker 1: he won't win is if we get out and vote.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Eighty eight days left. Yeah, everybody, Biden is a Catholic.
- 43:18Speaker 1: He's a devout, devout Catholic. H Yeah, I mean, does
- 43:21Speaker 1: anybody know anything? No, No, he the upside by, upside
- 43:27Speaker 1: down Bible God. That's who he is, devout liar. But
- 43:31Speaker 1: the but the nerve, the nerve of him to say
- 43:36Speaker 1: that right now during this pandemic, I mean, who are
- 43:39Speaker 1: you but I kind of person argue. Yeah, it rereaks
- 43:43Speaker 1: of desperation. Yes, you know, I hear that he's getting
- 43:48Speaker 1: desperate now. Joe Biden is winning in the polls. All right, guys,
- 43:51Speaker 1: coming up next, it is a nephew with today's praying
- 43:54Speaker 1: phone call. Right after this, you're listening, all right, guys,
- 44:01Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:03Speaker 1: four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today. Uh
- 44:07Speaker 1: subject the lowdown and dirty Deacon. I said, the lowdown
- 44:13Speaker 1: and dirty Deacon. That's right, jam though, First the nephew
- 44:23Speaker 1: is here with today's praying phone call. What you got
- 44:26Speaker 1: for us, Mass, Well, surely a lot of parents hate
- 44:28Speaker 1: the head. Some of them get the call. You know,
- 44:30Speaker 1: it happens sometime. Your son didn't make the team. I'm
- 44:36Speaker 1: gonna say it again, your son didn't make the tea.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Let's go, can't Hello? Hello, I'm trying to reach missus Lydia.
- 44:48Speaker 1: This is she mass is calling. This is coach Watkins
- 44:51Speaker 1: up at the up at the school. How are you hey,
- 44:53Speaker 1: Coach Watkins? I'm fine? What can I do for you? Listen,
- 44:57Speaker 1: We've had Malik out for the last a week and
- 45:00Speaker 1: a half. He's been coming to practice here at the
- 45:03Speaker 1: Junior High School and wanted to reach out and give
- 45:06Speaker 1: you a call about everything that's going on. Oh yeah, Well,
- 45:09Speaker 1: I know he's really excited. He can't wait to start
- 45:11Speaker 1: the season. He's he's ready. You know what, I'll be
- 45:15Speaker 1: honest with you. He's a great kid, and he's got
- 45:19Speaker 1: a good heart, and he's really really really trying and
- 45:22Speaker 1: trying to produce as much as possible. Well, you know,
- 45:25Speaker 1: he loves the game and he's been playing since he
- 45:27Speaker 1: was a little kid. Yeah, yeah, and you know this
- 45:30Speaker 1: is uh, you know, this is the seventh grade. This
- 45:33Speaker 1: is the first time some of these kids have played
- 45:35Speaker 1: um organized football, and this is the first time playing
- 45:39Speaker 1: school football. And it's it's a big it's a big
- 45:41Speaker 1: transition that if you've been playing Little League ball or
- 45:45Speaker 1: Pop Warner or whatever you want to call it. It's
- 45:46Speaker 1: a it's a big difference, in a big transition to
- 45:50Speaker 1: go from one to the other. You understand, Yeah, I
- 45:52Speaker 1: do understand. But Malika has been working really hard. Yeah,
- 45:55Speaker 1: so he's ready. Well well, well, let me let me
- 45:57Speaker 1: say this. My main reason for calling you is letting
- 45:59Speaker 1: you know that Malague as a right now, is not
- 46:03Speaker 1: going to be able to make the cut as far
- 46:07Speaker 1: as what you mean, he's not gonna be able to
- 46:10Speaker 1: make the cut as far as being on the team
- 46:12Speaker 1: for this year. Now, I said, wait, you said that
- 46:18Speaker 1: Malif he's not gonna be able to make the team,
- 46:21Speaker 1: he's not gonna make the team. He's a great kid,
- 46:25Speaker 1: you know, he's a great he's a great kid. But women, now,
- 46:28Speaker 1: he didn't play top Warner and he was a starting quarterback,
- 46:32Speaker 1: so what are you talking about. He's not gonna make
- 46:34Speaker 1: the team this year. He was the best toy had
- 46:36Speaker 1: out on that squad. Okay, and you know what, I've
- 46:39Speaker 1: heard a lot about him. I heard he did a
- 46:40Speaker 1: great job and heard about him. Wait a minute, wait, Mante,
- 46:43Speaker 1: have you seen his start to twenty touchdowns in the season.
- 46:46Speaker 1: I understand what other kids is out there doing that.
- 46:49Speaker 1: But you know what, but right now, we got a
- 46:51Speaker 1: lot of different kids that are coming into this particular school,
- 46:54Speaker 1: so you know, the competition has gone greater and greater
- 46:57Speaker 1: than what we could possibly understand. Wait a minute, with women,
- 47:00Speaker 1: this is seventh grade. First of all, everybody makes the team.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Nobody gets cut in the first place. You got an
- 47:06Speaker 1: A team and the B team. So you telling me
- 47:09Speaker 1: my baby ain't made none of them teams? Right right now,
- 47:11Speaker 1: miss Lydia? Uh you know, uh, Malik, Like I said,
- 47:15Speaker 1: Malik is a great kid. I like it. I know
- 47:17Speaker 1: what Malik is. I know that he's a great kid
- 47:19Speaker 1: and he's a ball player. Now I make sure that
- 47:22Speaker 1: so don't come telling me that he's not good enough
- 47:24Speaker 1: to make the cut on on this seventh grade team. Well,
- 47:27Speaker 1: I'm telling me who who is the quarterback? Who? Yeah,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you tell me what's going on who is the quarterback? Well, actually,
- 47:33Speaker 1: right now, my my my son is the quarterback. Your son, well,
- 47:38Speaker 1: I mean yeah, don't actually the quarterback. He hasn't done
- 47:44Speaker 1: any pop warn or anything, but he really has what
- 47:48Speaker 1: it takes to be. He never played football before, or
- 47:51Speaker 1: he's never played organized football, but he's gonna be the
- 47:55Speaker 1: quarterback for the seventh grade team. Is that what you're
- 47:58Speaker 1: telling me? Well, yeah, my son is actually starting quarterback.
- 48:00Speaker 1: But that easy. My sons donna make the team and
- 48:04Speaker 1: my son score twenty touchdown twenty touchdown? Is that what
- 48:09Speaker 1: you're telling me? Oh? Hell no, I'm calling up to
- 48:11Speaker 1: that school tomorrow. I will be up there tomorrow to
- 48:16Speaker 1: me explain something something. No no, no, no, no, no,
- 48:20Speaker 1: no no no. I don't know what this is, this
- 48:22Speaker 1: nepotism or what everything you got going on around here.
- 48:26Speaker 1: But hell no, my firn ain't Nathan what. Hell no,
- 48:31Speaker 1: you're gonna be smoking the city tomorrow when I get
- 48:33Speaker 1: up there, Miss Lydia. What I want to say this
- 48:36Speaker 1: is this, if your son would take a year off,
- 48:39Speaker 1: Lord and try to get itself together and get his
- 48:42Speaker 1: fundamentals together together, a greater football player when he gets
- 48:47Speaker 1: to be headed to the eighth grade, the riding Star
- 48:50Speaker 1: last year. What's you talking about this fundamentals together? Your
- 48:53Speaker 1: son ain't ever even played it? But you know what,
- 48:55Speaker 1: I've worked with my son and you know, and it's
- 48:58Speaker 1: a little it's a little awkward for me to try
- 49:00Speaker 1: to talk about what my son has done. Hell, yeah's
- 49:03Speaker 1: gonna be hard for you to talk about because you
- 49:05Speaker 1: don't know what your son has done because ain't nobody
- 49:07Speaker 1: ever seen your son. You just got this dream probably
- 49:09Speaker 1: something that you ain't did. You want to live Vicarcy
- 49:12Speaker 1: through him? Here? No, like that little school I played
- 49:18Speaker 1: in hard school and let me play this. I'm trying
- 49:20Speaker 1: to do the best that I can and the best
- 49:22Speaker 1: of my ability to make sure that everybody gets a
- 49:25Speaker 1: good and fair shot at what's going on. But he,
- 49:28Speaker 1: but he don't get to play. So what about didn't
- 49:32Speaker 1: get the plays? Probably work out? Saw that to the
- 49:37Speaker 1: mother mothers? That's some boy. I bet you. I guarantee
- 49:39Speaker 1: you this my son to be starting this year. I
- 49:41Speaker 1: guarantee you this. You don't want it, It is okay
- 49:44Speaker 1: right now? All I can say is I need Malik
- 49:47Speaker 1: to actually bring his cliques back, because my son's gonna
- 49:50Speaker 1: need him to play in what I fuck him? Clease
- 49:54Speaker 1: your son again, Your son, I'm running down that field.
- 49:57Speaker 1: He gonna run barefoot. He didn't get nothing, man, from
- 50:01Speaker 1: my records. Understanding is that the cliques actually came from
- 50:06Speaker 1: the one that told you that my son can't fight
- 50:08Speaker 1: your records. Nation. Everybody thinking about your records, You, your mama,
- 50:13Speaker 1: and the day she bushed your man. I'm not gonna
- 50:16Speaker 1: sit and go back and forth with you. All I'm
- 50:18Speaker 1: trying to say is this that my league isn't about
- 50:21Speaker 1: to do. You start looking for a new job. Get
- 50:23Speaker 1: your resume together. You know what, man, I'm not gonna
- 50:26Speaker 1: go back and for I got one more thing I
- 50:27Speaker 1: need to say to you. Nothing that you ain't got
- 50:30Speaker 1: nothing else to say to me. My son to be playing,
- 50:33Speaker 1: and I'll be up there tomorrow. I have one more
- 50:36Speaker 1: thing I need to say to you or you listen.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Only thing you need to tell me. It's who I
- 50:40Speaker 1: need to talk to tomorrow. Now. I'll let you know
- 50:42Speaker 1: that as soon as I tell you this are you're
- 50:44Speaker 1: listening to now, I'm listening what this is. Nephew taught
- 50:48Speaker 1: me from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your sister Aina

- 53:41Speaker 1: is the Strawberry Letter, subject the Lowdown and Dirty Deacon.
- 53:47Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm in my early thirties and I'm
- 53:51Speaker 1: eager to meet a nice man and settle down one day.
- 53:54Speaker 1: But in the meantime and in between time, I was
- 53:56Speaker 1: keeping myself entertained in online chat rooms and online dating.
- 54:01Speaker 1: I met a man that I paired perfectly with, and
- 54:04Speaker 1: his profile said he was six two and athletic. His
- 54:09Speaker 1: picture was nice, but not really my type. We started
- 54:12Speaker 1: chatting offline and would stay on the phone for hours.
- 54:16Speaker 1: That turned into sexting and I sent him a bunch
- 54:19Speaker 1: of nude photos and he sent me nude pictures too.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Then he asked for an explicit video of me, and
- 54:26Speaker 1: I made him one. It was fun and he loved it.
- 54:30Speaker 1: That was a month ago, and since then I've been
- 54:33Speaker 1: asking for him to send me a video. He refuses to.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I've tried to call him on FaceTime, but he won't answer.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I started thinking that I was being catfished. Recently, we
- 54:45Speaker 1: were on the phone and I hit the FaceTime button
- 54:49Speaker 1: and it rang on his end. He asked, what's that.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I told him to click the button and see. Then
- 54:55Speaker 1: he clicked the FaceTime button and was looking confused. He
- 54:59Speaker 1: realized that I saw him and he hung up. I
- 55:02Speaker 1: was totally grossed out when I saw his face. He
- 55:06Speaker 1: is a deacon at my church and my dad's golf buddy.
- 55:11Speaker 1: I saw him pictures. Yeah, I sent him pictures and
- 55:15Speaker 1: he's got a video of me, so he knew who
- 55:18Speaker 1: I was all along. This man has to be at
- 55:22Speaker 1: least at least seventy years old. Seventy years old junior.
- 55:35Speaker 1: And after I looked closely at his profile, he used
- 55:38Speaker 1: a very old picture of himself. If I expose him
- 55:42Speaker 1: and tell my dad. My dad will know what I
- 55:45Speaker 1: do in my spare time. The last time I saw
- 55:47Speaker 1: the old pervert was at Easter Sunday, and shortly after
- 55:51Speaker 1: that he found me online and fooled me into sexting
- 55:54Speaker 1: with him. How can this be fixed? Fixed? Should I
- 55:58Speaker 1: take this secret to my gray? Yeah, you're probably gonna
- 56:02Speaker 1: have to. I don't know how this is gonna be fixed.
- 56:04Speaker 1: I mean, you say you were keeping yourself entertained online
- 56:09Speaker 1: with chat rooms and online dating. Well, this is what
- 56:12Speaker 1: you got. I mean, this is what you get out there.
- 56:15Speaker 1: It is catfishing is very real. They have a whole
- 56:18Speaker 1: TV show about it. I'm sure you knew about that,
- 56:21Speaker 1: but this is on you though. I mean, how quick
- 56:24Speaker 1: were you to take off all your clothes? You said
- 56:26Speaker 1: he fooled you into sexting. What did he say to
- 56:29Speaker 1: make you just do this? I mean, be so quick
- 56:32Speaker 1: to do this. You don't know this man, This is
- 56:36Speaker 1: a complete stranger, and you sent him a video. Now
- 56:41Speaker 1: you're mad at him because he cat fished you, and
- 56:45Speaker 1: you know you figured out who he is. Finally, he
- 56:48Speaker 1: knew who you were all along, like he said, so
- 56:50Speaker 1: he was cat fishing you, but you put yourself in
- 56:53Speaker 1: this position. I mean, no one said that you can't
- 56:57Speaker 1: chat or date online or anything like that, but you
- 57:00Speaker 1: way too far with all the sex thing. I mean,
- 57:02Speaker 1: it's just too much. You're not gonna get these pictures back.
- 57:06Speaker 1: You know, the deacon, you know, he's gonna tell your
- 57:09Speaker 1: dad if you quote unquote expose him. That's what you know,
- 57:14Speaker 1: I'm really concerned about, and that's what you should be
- 57:16Speaker 1: concerned about too. What your dad is going to think
- 57:18Speaker 1: if he finds out. I just hope this was a
- 57:20Speaker 1: learning experience for you. Don't do this anymore. This this
- 57:25Speaker 1: old guy at church. Yeah, now he's running because he
- 57:29Speaker 1: doesn't want you to tell his dad. He knows he's
- 57:31Speaker 1: tell your dad. He knows he's in too deep as well.
- 57:36Speaker 1: I say, you know, hopefully he won't do anything with
- 57:39Speaker 1: these pictures, and you just have to chalk this one
- 57:42Speaker 1: up and stay out of his way at church. But
- 57:44Speaker 1: if it gets rough, tell your dad and see what happens. Steve. Wow,
- 57:51Speaker 1: First of all, he is not going to tell your
- 57:56Speaker 1: dad that he cannot do because the father is only
- 58:02Speaker 1: gonna have one thing. What the hell was you doing online?
- 58:08Speaker 1: And you knew this is my daughter as soon as
- 58:11Speaker 1: you saw her profile picture own line, Why did you
- 58:14Speaker 1: engage here with conversation? I'm whipping your ass earl. No, no,
- 58:22Speaker 1: it's just earl. At this point you don't respect it. Yeah,
- 58:28Speaker 1: you lose titles when you best with the man. So
- 58:31Speaker 1: I don't think there's any danger of him telling your father.
- 58:37Speaker 1: But I agree it's surely one. This is a lesson learned.
- 58:43Speaker 1: You know, you say, you in your early thirties, you
- 58:45Speaker 1: really want to meet a nice man to settle down,
- 58:47Speaker 1: you said, But in the meantime, in between time I
- 58:52Speaker 1: was keeping myself entertained. I'd have told y'all, now, I
- 58:57Speaker 1: understand you're doing something in the meantime. I got it,
- 59:00Speaker 1: But that in the meantime, man always come back to
- 59:03Speaker 1: bite you. It ain't ever good. You will never find
- 59:06Speaker 1: mister Wright messing with mister Rong. I said it a
- 59:09Speaker 1: thousand times. That is it hard to do it that way? Ladies.
- 59:12Speaker 1: I agree, Uncle Steve, get it. It is hard, But
- 59:16Speaker 1: this is what you get. His profile picture said he
- 59:20Speaker 1: was six two and athletic. That was a time when
- 59:22Speaker 1: he was, yes, seventy years ago. He sent a picture
- 59:27Speaker 1: to you when he was athletic. He's still six two,
- 59:32Speaker 1: but the athletic part is gone. I'm six two, but
- 59:37Speaker 1: I'm also sixty three. A lot of the athletics I
- 59:43Speaker 1: used to have is gone. Damn it. Who All right,
- 59:52Speaker 1: hold on to that thought, Steve. We'll have part two
- 59:54Speaker 1: of your response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 59:57Speaker 1: the hour. Today's subject the down and duddy Deacon. We'll
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening, all right,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the lowdown and duddy Deacon. Uh. This late in the
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: early thirties, been online, messing around because she wants to
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: be a nice man, but she was entertaining herself. Come
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: to find out she really got catfish. Now, this dude
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: put a pad profile said he was six two in
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: the athletic uh, you know, and all like that. So
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: she went for it. Then she said his picture was nice,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: but not really my titan. Now we come to find
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: out that the dude is seventy years old, he's a
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: deacon at the church, and he's he's her father's golf buddy.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: So now we've already discovered Shirley and I that he
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: will not be contelling her dad because he came because
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: he gonna kick her on lass. That's all to it.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Now listen to this girl if you But it's just no, no, no,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: he could get he gonna kick herl ass. Now here's
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: where you messed up. His picture was nice, but not
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: really my type. I know it wasn't because he put
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: an old picture himself up. So the Lesia suit kind
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: of threw yea off a little bit. You thought he
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: really handsome, But why he got that damn Lesia suit
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: in that collar, his shirt collar outside his soup jacket.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Why is his shirt collar that damn And where and
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: where he gets them silk socks with them thick lives
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: in it? Why is he still wearing thinking thie? Why
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: he got on square toe shoes? So that's what threw you.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Then y'all started chatting offline for hours. That turned into sexty.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: You sent him a bunch of new photos and he
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: sent you some new pictures too. Well, I don't know
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: who the new pictures was, but it wasn't his semi
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: year old ass, I can tell you that. So he
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: either sent you some old pictures of his or you
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: just found some pictures online. Then He asked me for
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: an explicit video on me and I made him one.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: It was fun and he loved it. That's about a
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: month ago. Then I've been asking him sending me a video.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: So he old. So what you did was? Now you started?
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: He refuses to get on video with your FaceTime, but
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: he won't answer. I started thinking, I'm being catfished. You
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: did get catfished. Y'all was on the phone. I hit
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: the FaceTime button. It rang on his ass. He asked,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: what's that? C seventy year old people? Let me tell
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: you how this conversation with you know that little toneament,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: the little gobbling sounds. Then he said, like that what
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: the thing that is? That's how he talks because he
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: old see when you were old and come out arrow?
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: What you think that is? What that is? Right there? You?
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: You you should have knew he was old when y'all
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: were sexty, because I'm when you have phone sex with
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: the real old ass person, you hear stuff. You you
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: meshed girl, You meshed with my gout. You mesh around
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: when you got the blood pressure going the blue bed
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: on me. Anyway, you told him to push the button
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: and see he clicked the FaceTime button and would looking confused.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: So this is how he looked. Y'all look at y'all
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Z came. That's how he was looking the whole head
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: the camera eyes. Don't know what a little stud you
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: really are? What that is? Earl? Yeah? What that is
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: right there? You know, because you know when you're real old,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: you just talked what your bottomed up? What? Right? Then?
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: What you think is pre buddy up all say that's
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: what happened? And then she saw his face. He's a
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: deacon at the church and he should dad golf buddy.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: I sent him pictures and he got a video on me,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: so he knew who I was all along. This man
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: has to be at least seven years old. And after
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: I looked close last prot he used a very old
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: picture of himself. If I exposed him and I tell
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: my dad, my dad will know what I do in
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: my spare time, Well he'll know that. But why would
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: you tell your dad? What is that going to accomplish? Daddy?
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: He did this to me? What he did? What to you?
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: He made me? Didn't hear what you did? My dad
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: would know I do in my spare time. Last time
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: I saw the old pervert was at Eastern Sunday and
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: short after he found me online and fooled me into
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: sexing with him. You're too old to say, Shirley had
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: it right. You're too old for this. How can this
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: be fixed? It can't. Should I take this secret to
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: my grave? You have to? Yeah, should call him up
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: and said, listen, you could text him. I know who
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you are. I saw your face. Now let me tell
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: you this. If you ever show these pictures or video
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: of me to anyone or any kind You're not gonna
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: believe what I'm gonna do. Don't ever call me again
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: and click hang up. That's it. That's all you got
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: to do. You got to let him know. There's some consequences.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Seventy year old men don't like their life getting ruined
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: because they don't have much left. So you can't go
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: in there and tell his wife he can't get this
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: band from the church, he can't lose his only golf buddy.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Too much to rules. So just death statement that you
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: know who he is, and if he uses the picture,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: you're not gonna believe what I'm going to to you.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: All right, Steve, Thank you. Post your comments on today's
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and on Facebook,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: and please don't forget to check out the Strawberry Letter
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: podcast on demand now coming up at forty six minutes
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: after the hour, We're going to get serious. We'll tell
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: you about Louisville's police chief walking out of a meeting
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: as a fight for justice continues for Brianna Taylor. We'll
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Say her name, Brianna Taylor. Say
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: her name. Brianna Taylor. Louisville's police chief and the chief
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: of Public Services walked out of a Metro council meeting
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: on the advice of their lawyers. They were citing a
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: pending lawsuit to keep them from answering questions about the
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: death of Brianna Taylor. Brianna Taylor, of course, was an
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: EMT worker who was shot eight times after playing closed
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: officers broke down her door during a botched narcotics raid
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: on March thirteenth. During that council meeting, council members slammed
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: both chiefs after they walked out and voted to subpoena
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: both of them. Brianna's family and the public deserve answers
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: and the truth. Justice Brianna Taylor, Justice for Brianna Taylor,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: say her name. We're still waiting. We're still waiting. Well,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: the reason you don't answer questions is because you're working
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: on the story. I mean, the truth is the truth.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: These are the facts. And the horrible thing about this
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: story is this woman is gone because they had a
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: no knock onet and was looking for a guy who
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: was already in custody. I mean, this was a huge
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: debacle from the beginning. For them to be out on
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: the streets looking for this guy is a huge mistake.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: How your dumbass don't know he locked up? You didn't
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: press one computer button when you got the no knock
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: rock one and could have said it is he's in
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: the system. Yeah, you could have checked into it. Yeah.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: I mean it's been since March thirteenth. We're still waiting
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: too long, Yes, we're still The only action that has
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: happened is that they fired one police officer and they're
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: still investigating. It's August. Yeah, it's the investigation. What don't
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: you know by now? You know who were there, everybody,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: all the facts, they know, every officer that went in
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: on that call. They know how to do the test
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: to see who fired guns. All they gotta do is
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: take the bullet that entered her body and match it
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: to the barrel of the guns that everybody shot, like
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: they do on forensic files all the time. Each barrel
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: produces a different score on the bullet, and that's who
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: shot the bullet. That's all to it. Man's rocket science.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: But then everybody who was there was an accomplice, because
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: everybody that fired day gun should be guilty of murder, period,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: because this was not policing. This wasn't a person breaking
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: the law. This was a person in her bad She
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: was going to work. Let one point, does the FEDS
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: when do they step in and take over? Since they
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: have that would be the Justice Department that's barred. That's
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Trump's board. They not coming. They support everything the police do.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Her civil rights are definitely coming up. At the top
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: of the hour. We'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this. You're listening. So here's a
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: question for you want to be alive long enough to
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: live to be a hundred? That's the question. I want
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: to live to be a hundred. Okay, Well, look to
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Japan for guidance. They have the highest number of people
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: per capita over the age of one hundred than any
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: other country. Why I believe so. They know what it
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: takes to live a long life, to live to be
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: a hundred. They know what it takes. Some of it,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: of course, is genetic, you know, it's you always have
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: to factor in genetics. But some of it has to
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: do with diet and lifestyle habits that we can borrow
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: to improve our longevity. These are some of the things
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: we can do. But surely, let me say this for
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: your stuff. I want to be a hundred if I
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: don't have to depend on nobody else, if I can
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: if I'm functioning on my own choice. Yeah, you said
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: depend somebody, shut up, Get your ass in this buggy.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Come on. You know, when you get older, you go ahead.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Something you do though, something you do in particular, can
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: help you. You do this all right. First of all,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: you can eat some seaweed, Okay, they say seaweed is
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: a staple of the greens. That's that's why you can
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: eat seaweed. It's it. Put it in your diet. It's
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: part of the Japanese diet is loaded with nutrients like iron, protein, fiber, copper,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: omega three fats. So eat some seaweed, okay, stock up
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: on seafood. Japan has one of the world's lowest rates
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: of heart disease, and that's attributed to their healthy diet
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: that's high in seafood. Eating seafood twice a week is
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: also linked to better brain and emotional health. You need
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: to stock up already. All right, we're getting to what
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Tommy does. Drink green tea. Does not drink green tea
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: every day, y'all don't like. Y'all won't even try with
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: green tea. Yeah, yeah, call a drinking with me. Sometimes,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: y'all don't tea sometimes hideous. It's the most tasteless, weakest,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: damn drink. Okay, let me let me tell you what
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: it does though. It's considered one of the healthiest beverages
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: thanks to all the polyphenol the antioxidants in it. Okay
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: that reduce inflammation protects cells from the kind of damage
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: that can promote chronic diseases. So Tommy, you're doing a
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: good thing. You don't know. You ain't diagnosed me, You
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: don't know, you don't know me, You don't know me.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: What else? All right? Eat until you're almost full. Okay.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: In Japan, there's a same called hawa hachibu, and that
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: means eating until you're eighty percentful, not one hundred percentful,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: eighty percent. That ain't what this food? Do he fool?
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Did he run five miles, come back and eat too,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: he for Did he drinks in green tea that balances
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: it out? Didn he go pull a hamstrain? Did he
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: run till he driven sitting under a tree? Yes he does?
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: And then practice forest bathing? Bathing in the forest. Okay,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: where does that water come from? Right there? They lost
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: a so on this one. It's a form of nature
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: therapy and it doesn't involve an actual bath, But it's
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: all about being mindful and tuning into the natural setting
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: by using your sense is to take it all in,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: that's what it means. All right, I'll do that. Yeah.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: It's like a form of meditation that lets your mind
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: and body relax. So yeah, so if you were if
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: you meditate, that's a good thing too. But I'm gonna
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: tell you something. If you ain't used to going in
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: the woods more scary, you need to know what you're doing.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: The first part, the first time you've been in the
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: woods was with him. Yeah, oh wait, he gonna tell
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: you the story. Wend All right, coming up more musics,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: trending topics, and Junior's story about Steve taking him in
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: the woods right after this, twenty minutes after the hour
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: you're listening to show. Okay. Before we went to break,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: we were talking about the things that Japanese people do
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: to live to be a hundred and one of those
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: is bathing in the forest, are taking in and meditating
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: on your environment and things. And Junior said, the first
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: time he's ever been in the forest, Steve took him.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: So what happened on his ranch? I went out to
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: steve ranch to steal your ranch. And you know, I'm
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: out there all wrong. First of all, I'm out here
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: in shorts and the air Force. One first problem I got. Yeah,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: that's not even forced. No, that's not even for us
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: in time. But we go back here and we're on
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: the fold with us and we deep off in him.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: I'm talking about deep off off of this part. We
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: waved back off here because it's kind of like getting late.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: He had the boy knife. He say nine, Yeah, we
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: hit these noises, surely, Carl it. We didn't know I
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: don't know that, but I'm still fishing. He just throw
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: on his line. He's not even worried. He just turns
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: to me and say, if they come out the bushes
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: getting this water, Dave hyenas coyotest. He just said, if
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: they come out to bushes getting this water. But the
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: problem is he got the knife. I don't have nothing,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: but he got on short sitting on the car. So
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: I say, I say, Junior, just start walking towards the water.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: What is that? If you don't walk your way, you
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: may find out because I don't know how many I'm
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: over there, but we'll stay pack up and get real brilliant.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: I didn't know nothing about that. I had no clue.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: All right, Marv, The Stevy Morning Show has some trending
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: years coming up at thirty. You're listening to, well guys.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: An American university professor and political historian. His name is
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Alan Lickman. He's predicted the winner of every presidential election
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: since nineteen eighty four. Who his name is Alan Lichtman.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: He's a political historian. He's an American university professor. Okay,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: every election he's gotten right since nineteen eighty four. He's
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: predicted that Joe Biden will beat Donald Trump in the
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: twenty twenty election come November third. Please we hope you're right.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: This is not the time to miss up right. Also,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: speaking of President Trump, um while in Ohio yesterday, the
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: President had a baseless claim another one that Joe Biden
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: wants to hurt God. Listen, he's going to do things
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: that nobody ever would ever think even possible because he's
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: following the radical left agenda. Take away your guns, destroy
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: your Second Amendment, no religion, no anything, hurt the Bible,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: hurt God. He's against God. He's against guns. Wait a minute,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: everyone is listen to me. Always remember this, and Bishop
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Kenneth olm Olmer taught this to me. When someone that
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: someone is talking about God, remember that God's voice has
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: no sin in it. They're gonna take away our guns.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: God don't even want you to have guns. Thou shalt
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: not kill is a commandment. We created guns. When you
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: hear a man talking like this, he's against religion. He's
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: gonna hurt God and take away your guns. Wait a minute, man,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: you don't even know how to hold a Bible right
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: side up. There's not a single picture in the history
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: of Donald Trump coming out of a church except at
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: Bush's funeral. There's no photos of him at a church service.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: And this man got the nerve to turn around and
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: say that, Joe Biden, it's against God. That's a sick
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: statement to make. Is your base that low of a
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: group of people that they will allow you to say this.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: I don't believe the basis that low, But for you
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: to say that, it's because you know that there's a
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: group of people who will listen to that type of rhetoric. Hey, y'all,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: we got to get to the polls. Enough of this,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Enough is enough. Coming up, it is our last break
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: of the day. It's the last break of the day,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: and we'll have some closing remarks from the one and
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey coming up at forty nine minutes after
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to all right, here we are,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: last break of the day on this Friday, last break
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: of the week. Actually it's Friday. Yeah, These weeks are
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: flying by. It is August. Yeah. We started this thing
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: with h what mid march, March Yeah, something like that. No,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I mid beginning yea to me. No vacations that something
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: we didn't have none of that. Yeah, March nineteenth was
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: my last day of taping TV and we just started
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: back this week. So wow, that was tough. Man. It's
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: right though, the whole summer is gone. Yeah, we lost
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: spring and summer. Man, I normally take my wife and
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: kids somewhere that was out. That didn't happen everybody. Yeah,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I bewhere for my birthday this summer. Nothing do you
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: normally be on? What was the Mediterranean? Yeah? Changed? Yeah,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: don't ever get in it. But how about this, though, Steve,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: you don't even hear about Italy having a hard time
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: with the Corona virus anymore? Like, oh no, no, no, no,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: Why we have a lot of friends in Italy. They've
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: they've completely recovered just about they Steven, have cases, but
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: they're back to normal. Italy is open, Capri is open,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: Milan is open. Uh, the shipping clothes back out again.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Everything because they shut the country down, their social distance,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: they wore their masks, they washed their hands, and it
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: wasn't an option. That's our problem. That's our problem when
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: you allow every governor to make different decisions across the country. Well, well,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: now hold on, aunt Tommy. Uh, but he didn't just
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: he didn't let governors make their own decision. He strongly
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: suggested to the Red States that they reopened. He he
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: never wore a mask, which, as a leader, set the example.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: So guess what they were talking about. That's my civil rights,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: not to wear a mask, you idiot. And so they
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: turned and then they said that Democrats and the left
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: don't want to open back up because they want the
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: economy stay down for political purposes. No, man, it was
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: for health reasons, man. But the reason you wanted it
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: open was because of political reasons so you could get
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: the economy stimulated again, because that's what you were running on,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: was a strong economy. But the strong economy is at
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: the expense of lives. We are over one hundred and
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: sixty thousand people gone in this country, and this is America,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: So just wrap your mind around this number. Y'all right.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: And because we don't wear mask, Steve, this is why
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: the children aren't in school. This is why our kids
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: aren't in school because people would not politicize this whole
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: mask thing. And we let these children down in the
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: spring of summer and they can't go back to school
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: because of that. But then President Trump's insisting that schools open.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: If you don't open, he won't fund you. And the
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: reason he's doing that because he has no children that
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: have to be exposed to corona. Do you get some
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: schools that have really open, Steve and these people already,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: and they in red states, man, y'all, y'all listening, They
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: in red states because them ignorant asked governors is trying
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: to be his all up in his behind, trying to
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: make sure that he sees them doing his wishes. Indeed,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: do you know that he was supposed to meet with
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: the governor of Ohio to discuss something the other day?
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: And do you know that the governor of Ohio tested positive?
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: So I've canceled the meeting. Right hey, man, This thing
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: right here does not care about which political party you am.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: This thing doesn't care about how much money you make.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: It don't care about your position in life. It don't
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: care about your race, creed, or your sexual preference. This
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: is a problem that's facing all of us, and our
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: leadership has failed us miserably. And no, it's not our
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: governor's fault. It's our governor's fault for being led down
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: this dark path by this Republican president who pressed on
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: all of his Republican constituents to follow his lead, and
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: that was wrong of him to make those governors think
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: that they had to do that, because if you don't
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: do what Trump says, then he come after you. And
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: what he did to a lot of these governors was
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: flat out wrong. He forced the opening, he wanted schools
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: to go back in. It was all too soon, and
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: it was all for political reasons. And now this man
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: has the audacity to talk about Joe Biden and talk
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: about he is against God. Are you kidding me? Man?
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: What are you? What are you talking about? That's he's
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: gonna hurt the country. He's gonna hurt God. Man. This
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: man right here, y'all, this man is so unpresidential. Listen
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: to me, Steve Harvey Morning Show listeners. You have to
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: get to the polls. You are the deciding factor, period.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: I'm listening to all these ball players talk about voting. Man,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: I'm so inspired by these young people, man, because they're serious. Now,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: is he behind in the polls, yes, but let me
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: remind you all four years ago he was behind in
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: the polls too. He wasn't winning nowhere, and he wound
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: up the president. Don't get loved to sleep by these poles.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: Damn these poles. Poles don't vote, and you've got to
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: understand that this is a part of voter suppression. What
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: they oftentimes like to do is make you think that
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: the old opponent is so far ahead that you say, well,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: he got it, and you stay home. Ain't how this
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: working this time? Man? We have to vote. He's not
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: the right person for this job. And if you think
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: he is, man, it's because you got on blind this
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: man and you're not looking at this thing the right way.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: It's okay to be conservative. I don't have a problem
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: with that, but him, though he's the guy you want
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: to represent, I find that hard to believe. We vote
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: him out November fourth, Sovera. It's a rap. Thank you
